Tracey Walker’s Welcome to the Unstoppable Mastermind: Why Comparison Kills Momentum
You meet someone a few years ahead of you in this business and the gap feels enormous. They’re pulling in results you can’t picture yet, and the first thought that shows up isn’t excitement, it’s a quiet kind of panic. How do I get there? How fast can I possibly do it?
That instinct, the one that skips straight from where you are to where they are, is exactly what Tracey Walker opens her Unstoppable Mastermind session by naming. Not as a character flaw. As a pattern almost everyone in the room has already lived through, usually more than once.
As someone building a business alongside people further along than you, you already know that comparison reflex. This short opening session is about what that reflex quietly costs you, and what to do instead so it stops costing you anything at all.
Why does watching someone else’s success make you want to quit yours?
Tracey Walker’s point is specific: it isn’t that setting a big target is wrong. It’s that most people skip every step between where they stand today and the number they saw someone else hit, and in skipping those steps mentally, they also skip acknowledging the small wins that actually got that other person there in the first place. As Tracey Walker puts it, “most people skip all the little steps in between and they, they do not acknowledge the small successes and the wins that they’re having along the way.” No gratitude for progress that’s real, just a running tally of distance still to cover.
That gap between where you are and where you imagine you should already be doesn’t just sit there quietly. It turns into disappointment, and disappointment is the single most common reason people stop right when momentum was actually building underneath them. You don’t quit because the business stopped working. You quit because you convinced yourself it wasn’t working fast enough, measured against someone else’s timeline instead of your own.
What should you actually be doing with a session like this one instead?
The instruction Tracey Walker gives the room is a simple picture: think of a long buffet line. Nobody eats every dish on the table, and nobody is expected to. You take what applies to where you are right now, and you leave the rest for later, when you’re standing in a different spot in your business and different lessons suddenly make sense.
I want you to take what’s going to work for you in terms of where you are in your business right now, all right? And then apply that information to go to the very next level.
That’s the actual invitation behind everything that follows in this Unstoppable Mastermind session. Some of what gets taught will challenge how you’re currently thinking about your business. Some of it won’t land for you at all yet, and that’s fine too. The only real failure mode is trying to consume everything at once, applying nothing, and walking away more overwhelmed than when you started.
There’s a reason this framing comes first, before any of the specific mechanics get taught. A room full of people is never standing at the same point in their business at the same time. Someone in that room is brand new and still figuring out what a funnel even is. Someone else has been at this for years and is looking for one refinement that moves a number that’s already working. Tell both of them to consume every single idea equally and you’ve set at least one of them up to feel behind before the session even finishes. Tell them instead to take only what fits where they stand today, and suddenly the same room, the same content, works for everyone in it.
- Measure your progress against where you started, not against someone further along.
- Notice and actually credit the small wins instead of only counting what’s left to reach.
- Take one usable piece from a session like this rather than trying to absorb the whole thing.
This opening sets the tone for a series of sessions covering money mindset, income structure, and the exact patterns that separate people who keep what they earn from people who make it and lose it again. Tracey Walker built the sessions that follow around what actually helped her, not around theory, and this welcome is the frame that makes the rest of it usable instead of overwhelming.

want to welcome each and every one of you to our mastermind. This is technically a dream team mastermind where I am like the creator and the founder of this particular team inside of our company. But what we wanted to do is to share some information that would normally be kind of closed behind closed doors with people in a way to help them in their businesses as well. So whether you are part of the team or you're part of a greater team, right?
I welcome you. I appreciate you being here. And I want to make sure that this is a very interactive type of workshop style thing as well as just kind of me sharing some concepts and ideas with you that may be new. Okay.
Some of it may challenge your current way of thinking. Some of it may not drive with you at all. And some of you may jump for joy, right? What I'm going to ask that you do, you take into consideration at a buffet table, there's probably a lot of different foods, right?
At a buffet, they have like a big buffet place here, right? The line was like 40 years long and we didn't, I didn't go, right? We just decided to wait. But I figured with that many people, it must be good.
And I could only imagine that inside of that space, that there's probably a plethora of things to choose from. And likewise, you do not have to eat every single thing that's on display, right? Physically, you don't have to do it. And in this environment, you don't have to consume everything that I'm sharing with you either, okay?
I want you to eat everything that I'm sharing with you. I want you to take what's going to work for you in terms of where you are in your business right now, all right? And then apply that information to go to the very next level. One of the most important things that I, that would encourage entrepreneurs to do is to not, in your mind, not try to go from where you are to way over here, right?
So for example, you're just getting started with a new business in your company and you meet a million dollar earner and you're instantly like, oh my God, what do I got to do? How do I get to the million dollars? Right? And how fast can I do it?
And it's not, and there's nothing wrong with that except for the fact that most people skip all the little steps in between and they, they do not acknowledge the small successes and the wins that they're having along the way. They do not enjoy them. They do not revel in them. They do not edify the things that's happening.
And so what happens is that there's constant disappointment when really there's a lot of things that you should be grateful for, right? And that, that disappointment causes you to stop midstream when you otherwise would have been on track, right? So, so for example, if you're a business owner and you're in a business from that standpoint, just take the information, recognize where you are right now and things that can help you go to the very next level is really what I want you to do. Is that fair enough?
