Hook, Body, CTA: Rhonda Swan’s Video Structure and the Three-to-One Close Ratio
You shoot a video, post it, and nothing happens. No comments, no clicks, no new leads, just a number that sits there. Rhonda Swan opens day two of the Denver mastermind by naming why that keeps happening to good, sincere people: they’re talking to everyone, which means they’re actually reaching no one, and they’re leaving out the one piece that turns a video into an action instead of entertainment.
As someone who’s stood in front of a camera and felt the awkward silence of talking to nobody in particular, you already know how draining it is to keep showing up with no results to show for it. Rhonda rebuilt her entire video approach around a structure specific enough that she says her own team members shoot it the same way every single day without having to think about it.
Why does talking to everyone leave you connecting with no one?
Rhonda’s first move is forcing specificity. She asks the room who they’re marketing to, and the answers start broad, people who want to work online, then she keeps pushing until someone lands on an actual person: their age, where they live, what they care about. That specificity is what makes a video land, because a message aimed at a type of person always outperforms a message aimed at everyone.
She ties this directly to branding, describing herself and her husband as two completely different personalities inside the same family brand, one wound tight and driven, one relaxed and easygoing, each naturally pulling in the kind of person who relates to them. The lesson isn’t to manufacture a persona. It’s to stop softening who you actually are in the name of appealing to a bigger audience, because the audience that actually converts is the one that already sounds like you.
What has to be in every single video you shoot, no matter the topic?
Underneath every video, Rhonda insists on three components, no exceptions. As she puts it, “You have to have a hook, the body, and a CTA, which is a call to action everyone’s been referring to that.” Skip any one of the three and the video stops doing its job, no matter how good the content inside it is.
The hook has to land in the first three to ten seconds, usually as a question aimed squarely at the person you already identified, because a generic opener loses the room before you’ve said anything worth hearing. The body then has a hard ceiling: three to five minutes for a personal story video, one to two minutes for a shorter marketing message, because view counts fall off a cliff past those marks unless your audience already trusts you enough to stick around longer. And every video needs a moment of real vulnerability inside the body, a struggle that’s already resolved, not one still in progress, because a story that only shows things going well gives nobody a place to see their own life in it.
Energy matters here too, and Rhonda is blunt about why: “if you think it’s boring, they’re going to think it’s boring.” You don’t have to perform, but flat delivery reads as flat content no matter how useful the information actually is.
Why do so many good videos still fail to get anyone to act?
People really do want to be told what to do, and so don’t be afraid.
This is the piece Rhonda says gets skipped more than any other. Someone shoots a great story, gets people leaning in, and then just ends the video without ever telling the viewer what to do next, leaving them with nothing but a good feeling and nowhere to point it. Her fix is a three to one ratio: three soft calls to action for every one hard one. A soft close simply invites someone over, an offhand mention of where to find more, phrased like an invitation rather than a demand. The hard close, saved for the fourth beat, is direct and specific: click this link, here’s exactly what it does, do it now.
She stacks these across a full video series too, rather than cramming everything into one video. A prep video sets up the week’s theme with a soft close. A second video adds more content with another soft close. A third starts easing toward the actual offer. The fourth delivers the solution in full and makes the hard ask, because by then the viewer has spent four days building trust before ever hearing a direct pitch.
How do you keep from reinventing your content plan every single morning?
Rhonda closes the session with what she calls her marketing wheel, the daily sequence that keeps her from staring at a blank screen wondering what to post. A video goes up first, anchored to her blog with a short recap post underneath it. That post gets sent to her email list the same day. From there it gets shared out to social platforms, with video uploaded natively to Facebook rather than linked out to YouTube, since she’s found native uploads pull noticeably more views and shares. The whole cycle, video to blog to email to social, takes her roughly an hour once the video itself is shot.
The full session includes Rhonda’s own video played live for the room so they can identify each piece as it happens, plus a deeper walkthrough of building a full video series week by week. Create your free account to watch the complete session and download the audio at empowernetwork.com/watch.

So what I am going to do for the next, as long as it takes, is share with you guys really how to craft your videos. But before I share how to do that, how many of you are not shooting video right now? Are not? Why?
Can I ask you why? I'm shy. Okay, shy. Is that why?
No. Why else? Why would you not do video? Because I'm going to talk to you why you should.
But I want to know your purpose, your reason behind not doing video. Yours. Yeah. Anyone else?
Fair enough. Okay. Fair enough. Cool.
Good. Awesome. What was yours? You're scared of it.
Yeah? Cool. Awesome. I'll do a video with you later tonight.
Because you… Oh, good idea. Yeah. Yeah.
Thanks. Because it really is valuable, guys, when we're doing video. But this is the thing. I can't do anything really yet unless these slides come on.
So do we have that? I mean, I can talk, but they need to see stuff to take notes. Do we have a… Are they rounding up?
So I have to do my pony dance show for you guys in between then? We'll wait for them to get here. So let's talk about that a little bit. Let's talk about what our fears are with doing video.
Because I'm going to talk about why you should, right? And I'm actually going to lay out really, really simple ways for you to create content for your video to never run out of content. And to structure it in a way that make people want what you're talking about. Doesn't that sound fun?
Yeah. Because, I mean, how many of us have ever done videos and we're like, oh, no one's done anything with that video. Right? You're just like, oh, hi, I'm so…
I mean, I've done that for a long time. I just get talking and there's zero purpose. So when we start to realize if we… I call it posting with purpose, shooting videos with purpose.
If we start to have results because now we're on purpose, and it's not that we ever lose our purpose. Oh, there he is. Okay. It's not that we're losing our purpose.
It's that we're not doing things to make people see that we have a purpose for that video other than entertainment. Right? I love to entertain people, but everything that I do has to have a purpose. I want someone to do something.
I want them to take action. Right? So I'm going to show you how to do that. And do we have a computer that I can use?
Oh, yeah. Let's rock and roll. Okay, cool. This is really good stuff.
And what I love the most about… What Christina was sharing is it really does apply. It all applies to video as well. So we started off a couple minutes ago, guys, before Christina came on about the fears of video.
So what we're going to talk about… Oh, that was horrible, wasn't it? …is really how to structure your videos, okay? So that people are taking action with them.
Just as Christina was sharing how you do it with email, you want to do the same way with video. How many of you guys ever go, I don't really know what to say in my video? Do you ever feel that way? Not too many.
Good. Okay, good. Well, we can give you some ideas of how to really generate topics and have content because your whole life is full of content, right? Your process right now that you're in is your content, right?
So you are learning how to be a successful online marketer. I'm still learning, right? So I do things as… I do videos as…
as they come up for me in my life and in my business, okay? So let's… I'm just going to run through this because I know that we have a tight schedule, but there's really some key things that we want to cover. So the power of video.
The reason why I started here with you earlier is because the power of video is actually how I established my relationship with my audience when I first started in this industry. Let me explain what I mean. I came from the corporate background. I was in pharmaceutical sales.
And the power that I had, why I was so successful, is because I could look at them in the eyes and they could see my excitement. They knew who I was, right? All that. Everyone loves to buy from somebody who loves what they're doing and they're really excited when they can look at them in the eyes.
So when I got started in this industry, I'm like, oh, how am I going to get me in front of their face if they can't see me, right? And so initially, we called all of our leads. All of our leads, we called them. So we have such a luxury here.
But what I decided is how can I get me in front of my customer so that when I call them, they already know who I am, right? So that's when video, I started doing video day one because that was the way I was going to get in front of my customer. They were going to know, they were going to like, and they were going to trust me because they were looking in my eyes. You get that?
See, we, and this is the cool part. All of your customers, if they see a video of yours and you're talking about, an experience you're having, or as early on this morning, your story in a video is your most powerful marketing message you could ever, ever have. How many of you guys have stood in front of a camera and shot your story video? I know this morning you guys were talking it out.
Yeah? Okay, great. Every one of you, before you leave here or before you do anything more online, get your story video shot. And I'm going to show you exactly how to do it.
And I'm going to show you how to create marketing videos that get people into action, okay? Because there's a certain way to do it. So it's your shooting and posting with purpose, right? Yeah, okay, awesome, good.
I thought there was a question. So it really creates that know, like, and trust, right? I don't know if you guys know who Robert Hollis is. He's an amazing marketer online.
He created this, that thought, that know, like, and trust. And that's why we do video. Because right now, right now, guys, there's so many people in the internet, right? There's millions of people.
So we want to be transparent, and we want them to know us. Now, everyone is doing video. You're going to learn how to do video. That's actually going to have some action, and they're going to have some meaning, okay?
All right, so let's do this. Okay, so first off, we always want to look at how many of you guys would say that you know who your market is, who you're talking to? Who are you talking to? Okay, specifically, who are you talking to?
Oh. More specific. So you're talking to college, he said college students, and you're talking to professionals. What kind of professional?
Okay, what are their ages? Awesome, where do they live? What are the things that they like to do? Right?
I'm so, do you get where I'm coming? See, have you ever thought of, and I know I'm doing this really rapid. See, I'm really big on branding, if you can't already tell, all right? We walk around an unstoppable family.
No one, most people don't know my name. They usually know that we're part of the unstoppable family. So when you're creating video, you can actually begin to brand yourself. Now, I'm going to make a little asterisk here.
I know, when you're brand new, branding certainly isn't the most important thing ever, because you're going to get lost. You want to start making money, start making sales. But this is how I look at it. I look at branding and marketing, when we start off, as tipping our scales.
In the beginning, you just want traffic. You want people to your site. You want to get people started, right? You want to get people running in your business.
But at the same time, you've got to be establishing who you are. Okay? It's really actually funny, I'm going to tell you a really quick story. Before I decided to drink the Empower Network Kool-Aid, like three months ago, I think it was, three months ago, I was really pissed, right?
I really pissed Dave Sharp, because I don't even know Dave Sharp. I was like, I don't like this guy. And the reason why is because I'm huge on branding. I run a branding workshop.
I've been working with people for a long time, branding themselves, being, you know, themselves in the crowd, standing out in the sea of the crowd. Well, I know Tony Rush really well, because he started in the same industry, the exact same time, the exact same time. So I'm going to tell you a story. I'm going to tell you a story.
He started in the same company, so he's a really good friend of mine. And so Tony Rush was writing something about branding and how bullshit it is. And you don't need that, you just need to make money. And I was really pissed.
So I'm on Tony's thread, like, oh, yeah, Tony, well I think the difference is people need to do this. And, you know, Tony loves to get people pissed, and he got me pissed. And I know he loves to do that. And I'm like, damn it, Tony got me so bad, because he loves to create, you know, and arouse people's attention.
Well, Dave Sharp said the same thing. He's like, yeah, bullshit about branding. No one needs a brand, they just need to make money. And I was like, who the hell are these guys talking about?
They don't know what the hell they're talking about. These guys are running a huge business. They're telling these people not to be branded. They want to just be like all the hundred other 90,000 people that are part of that company.
So that's what I did. You can tell I was really pissed. Well, clearly it wasn't about that. They want you to be your own identity.
But in the beginning, that's why it's so great we have these PVA's. You guys are going to have traffic, traffic, traffic. You want to get your business running, but you want immediately to start identifying who you are. Who are you?
Who you are to your customer. Okay? So how we do that is we start identifying what makes me so unique. What is it about you that's so unique?
Now, I want to ask someone else, how many of you are marketing to people that want to work online? Okay, I know you all are. Right? You don't really want to say it because you're like, shit, am I going to be right or wrong, right?
Well, there's never a right or wrong answer. But this is the point. You guys are shooting at a big, old, broad span of people. Can you imagine if you found just 10,000 people that were just like you?
That loved what you had to say, that did what you did, that ate the kind of food you ate, that talked to the kids the same way, that read the same kind of books? See, that's who I target. I target myself. Because guess what?
When I get people that are like me, they're like my best friend. Because I like myself. Right? So stop being like other people, like, oh, that's a good idea.
I'm going to do a video just like he did because he, like, does motorcycles and people thread it on it, like, man, we don't know what the hell you're talking about. Motorcycles don't talk about them, right? Because then you're not being transparent. So can you imagine just thinking of one person and how you do that?
You stand in the mirror and you look at yourself. You say, what do you like? Right? I'm like this all the time.
People do not get started with us. They cannot handle this. Right? Right?
So Brian and I are two different people. He's like Mr. Surfer, you know, Zen Master kind of guy. I'm a nut job.
So I get the nut jobs and he gets the relaxed ones. We've got a perfect balance. But do you know what I mean, you guys? Like, well, like, okay, so I work with a guy, one guy's a Harley guy and he loves Harleys.
His brand, who he is, is the Harley guy that travels the world, you know, does this all kind of fun stuff. But he talks to me. He talks to Harley guys. He talks about his bikes.
He talks about riding. He talks about the feeling it is to ride. That's his blog. That's what he does.
That's his brand. That's what he does his videos on. So can we start just doing more video because it's the stuff that we like, things that we like to talk about? Yeah, can you?
It takes away some of the fear. There was a couple fear people. Okay? I get that you can be fearful, but guess what?
Get over it. Because you want to run a successful business, right? I am not a writer, but I became a writer because I want to run a successful business. But this is the point, what I always offer to people that are fearful of video.
You are doing this business for what? Freedom, helping others see through you what they can have. So if you are selfish, too selfish to do video, you are not doing what your purpose is, right? Because our purpose is to inspire people, to let them see through your vision, why you made that decision.
So we are actually selfish when we don't do it. You're selfish when you don't offer someone to see what you see. So in video is really, guys, the only way that you're going to bring someone in that is warm, that likes you, they know, they trust you, and they buy from you. See, I'm about creating a customer for life.
I have customers that have bought from me every single thing I've ever offered them. And it's because I'm consistent, and they trust me, and I'm totally transparent, okay, and I share video. All right, so shall we learn a little bit about how to get these videos together so people actually buy from us? Sweet, let's do that.
Okay, all right, let's do this. Okay, so there's three different ways to structure your videos. Or there's one way, but three different areas in that video that you have to include. Okay?
Now, certainly there's going to be goofy videos. I've got my kid dancing and singing, and I post that up because the people like it. They like to see things that we do. We play with video.
But when you really are posting and you are shooting with purpose because you want that to create a result, whether it's just inspiration, it's a click, it's something, you have to have these three components in every one of your videos. You have to have a hook, the body, and a CTA, which is a call to action everyone's been referring to that. Right? You always have to have a call to action.
People really do want to be told what to do, and so don't be afraid. Because they clicked on your ad or your video or email, whatever it was, because they wanted something from you. And if you're afraid to give it to them, then they're going to get it from somebody else. Right?
Okay, so let's break down the components. Okay? All right. So the hook.
The hook is really, really important. And the reason why it's important, just as Christina said, you have a very short period of time to grab someone's attention. And if you don't do it right away, literally in the first 3 to 10 seconds, you are going to lose them. Okay?
So, of course, you don't have to be as nutty as I am, because energy and enthusiasm can come in a totally different way. Right? But you do it in your way. If you ever…
Has anyone ever watched my videos? I know you guys are kind of new to me. Okay? I have thousands of them out there, just as Dee does.
Dee does it totally different than I do. I'm like, hey, everyone, it's Rhonda's mom from the Unstoppable Family. That's how I start every video. Okay?
Every fricking video. People are like, oh my God, this lady's nuts. But now it's my brand. Right?
See, I'm branding the way I act, how I start things. Right? The name, everything is me. It's branded me.
Okay. So, certainly energy and enthusiasm. And one of the best ways to create a hook that keeps people wanting more is asking a question. Right?
So, let's think if we're talking to mothers that want to stay home with their kids. Right? Maybe that's who you target. I talk to those mothers quite a bit.
And I'm always like, ladies, have you ever really wanted to be able to see every step of your child's life as a brand new baby? Right? That's a question that's like, yeah. Right?
They want that. Or, hey, guys, are you sick of missing all your kids' baseball games? Right? These are all problems that we're solving.
See, we do not have a business unless we're solving a problem. Right? Because every person that comes to us has a problem they want solved. So, in every video that you create, you should be solving a problem with every video.
And that helps you identify that person that you're talking to. Right? So, now you're like, okay, I'm going to, today, I'm going to talk to women that want to work from home. So, you're talking straight to them.
So, women that work from home have totally different problems to solve than dudes or that surfer guys. Right? Even my husband, he's like, hey, guys, you ever wanted to travel around the world and surf the world's best waves? That's a huge question.
These guys are like, yes. Right? Okay. So, we always ask a question.
Of course, then we look at who are we talking to. Right? That helps you identify. Anytime I do a video, I see someone.
I really do. I see someone. I see that woman that maybe is a corporate executive like I was, and I talk to her. I'm going to show you guys a video that I've done so you can see how the structure works.
You can see how the structure is put together, and you guys are going to be able to model it exactly how we've done it. Okay. So, I covered these already. All right.
Okay. So, then the second part is the body. Now, in a video, when you're writing your story or doing your story videos, we're talking about story videos earlier. There is a timeframe that you want to stick within.
Because if people… If they see a video of yours… And it's like 7 to 12 minutes long, they're going to go, I'm going to get back to that. Chances are, they're not going to get back to it.
And there's some statistics within YouTube where drastically views drop off after 3 minutes. Okay? Now, there are some exceptions, right? I did videos for 12 minutes, 30 minutes, I've done long videos before.
But it's because my audience knows me and they trust me. But I've been doing 2 to 3 minute videos for 8 and a half years. Seriously. So, you have to keep that consistency because what happens, then they start to follow you.
They like one video, they go to your channel, they're like, they got some cool stuff. Right? So, I sell to people through my videos as they're watching them. They may not click for a long time, but they may see many videos, then they come to my site and they see us again and then they buy.
Right? So, everything that we're doing is on purpose. Okay. So, of course, again, we always want to relate to someone, just we were talking earlier, but vulnerability…
And Christina touched on this really well. Guys, you have to have a vulnerable spot, right? I know this because when I started off, we almost were like we had a golden spoon in our mouth. Everything I talked about was perfect.
Life isn't perfect, right? Life isn't perfect. And when everything might be working for you, you still had some down times. You got to talk about those because that's when people relate to you.
So, most people would be very embarrassed to say. We lost everything that we had. I went bankrupt. We lost everything we had, my cars, every single thing, right?
I was embarrassed at first to say that and then I realized, wait a minute, do you know how many people have gone through that same situation? Right? You know how many dads have missed their kids? You know how many parents miss so many things in their kid's life or their family's life?
So, if you're vulnerable and you share it, and again, just like the guys are talking, you don't… Will was talking about this earlier. You don't end it with a really bad scenario. You have to have it.
You have to have that triumph, right? And so, we want to make sure that when we are communicating with them that our vulnerabilities come out. We hook them. We talk about our topic and we'll go through this in a minute and then you share a little vulnerability.
Not all the time, but you can share vulnerability. It's vital, vital, vital. And again, you're always solving a problem. You always have a solution, right?
So when you're shooting your video, you're always thinking of that solution and that person that you're answering at that time. Always consider that, okay? So, story videos, three to five minutes. This is how I teach people how to get their story video nailed down.
If you take a piece of paper horizontal, right, and you draw a line through it, okay? That's the length of your video, let's just say. In the beginning, you shoot your story video, you just puke it out, right? Just get it out.
Don't think. Just get it out. And how you start with your story video, it ends up and you start with the area that you want to connect with that person. So, for instance, if you're just starting in this business, typically it comes from why I made that decision, right?
And the guys talked a lot about the story earlier, so you want to hit the area that is going to be important to that person, right? It's not about, I had a lady do her story video and it was like 20 minutes long and she told me about her childhood, which didn't pertain to any of it, but one piece did, okay? One did about her having a poverty conscious mindset in her family, but she talked 10 minutes about just every step along her growing up way. So how we do it is we let you puke it out as much as you need to.
And then you take that little line on your paper and you turn your computer on, you got your pen ready, and as you talk, you hear it as if you were the person listening to your video. Oh, that was a good one. And you write a circle, right? Oh, yeah, that's solving the problem for me, right?
And you let the video play. Circle again. And you might give it a little note of what that circle was. And by the time you're done with your 12, 15 minute story video, you might have six or eight circles that are really solid that somebody deserves to hear.
Okay? Then we take it and we tighten it up. And then you shoot it again and you watch it. And then you circle it again.
And now you got a three to five minute video that's on point and it's talking to the right person and you really get the juice in there. You get that piece? Because how boring is it when someone's like, hi, so I started this marketing, internet marketing thing, and they're just so boring, right? Because if you think it's boring, they're going to think it's boring.
Stop being boring. Right? You don't have… I know you guys have some personality.
So I've seen you all the time, like, you are not like that. He's like, I know, I was nervous. Well, keep doing it then. But your story, you should know it pretty well, right?
Our story videos should be our easiest. It's our story. We're not talking about anyone else but ourselves, okay? So make sure the story videos are three to five minutes.
And now your marketing videos. Marketing videos, I do them every single day, right? But there's a different way you keep a balance is how you produce these marketing videos. So there are always one to two minutes.
Man, if you can rock out some solid, quick little one topic messages under two minutes, you will get more people watching your videos. You create a visual for them, right? So for instance, just as the question was before, you create a visual. You know, I did a video, this one I'll show you guys, is I'm like, hey ladies, you know, I had this, I want to shoot this video because I saw something today at the store.
I saw this woman, I was telling a little bit of a story for them, and I was explaining what this woman looked like. And this was a corporate woman. And you guys will see this video, but I was helping them immediately see the visual, right? Or I might say, hey everyone, it's Rhonda's mom from the Nistopple family.
Wow, yesterday I was with my little girl and she said something that was so profound. She said, mommy, I know how much you love me. And I know how much you love me because you decided to work from home and not put me in that day kid, that kid day camp or something. My little daughter said that, right?
She said that to me. And that was, and I did a video about it because it was so emotional, I'm like, so I'm saying what my kid said and I said, wow, and that was the most powerful moment for me ever because my little girl said, I know you love me 151 million percent is what she told me. She said that. So do you see how emotional and visual that is and it's real, it's real, it just happened.
But you target people that you touch their emotion, right? And you create a visual for them. So we can all do this. So they, we deserve to do this for those others that are out there looking.
Right? And not everyone does it like this. So, um, and yeah, so there's a list of moms. I, I, you, you hit moms, corporate executives, dads, whoever you want, fishermen, right?
I work with this guy recently and he's a fisherman and he talks to these guys that want to fish every day and he, he talks about bass and all this stuff, but then the whole point is about the videos. He's gets to fish because he works for himself. See how that works. Okay, cool.
So now let's talk about this call to action because this is one of the most, this is where people blow it. How many guys have done videos? Okay. If you're a cousin, you don't ever do a call to action.
You're like, dang it. That video went nowhere. I meet too. And I'm like, ah, I didn't even do the call to action, but there's a special way to do a call to action.
I call it the three to one ratio. Okay. Because in social media, it's social, right? People don't want to be sold all the time.
Just like in your emails, just like in your blog posts, they want to have some content, but I don't usually let my videos go without a little bit of a call to action. So I do a three to one ratio. And the three to one is, three is a soft CTA, and I might say something like this. I might do my video, I'm like, wow, if you really love that story, you can find more of those at our blog at unstoppablefamily.com.
That just sounds nice, right? It's inviting because I have a philosophy about my blog. My blog is like my home. It's my business home.
And when you have someone that you invite. Okay. To your home, they come because they're coming to a party. They're like, it's cool, they're coming over to your house for a party, and when they're at your house, they might be having a drink, and they might be looking around, they look at pictures that you got on your wall, and they're totally in this neutral state because you just did something super inspiring, you invited them to a party.
And they might click on a banner because they just feel good about it. You didn't tell them to do it. They're like, they might look at pictures if they're at your party, right? And then they get to the day video, the commission loophole, which is my favorite one.
They're like, wow, they're open, they're different, right? So they're in a different state, and their mind is in a different space, so they're more open to the message, okay? That's my three to one ratio. So my three might be, and I do three, two, one.
So now if I've given them some nice, soft, fun lovey coming to my party, you deserve for me to nail you with a call to action that's hard, right? So now our one is like, hey, everyone. It's Ron, it's Ron from the Unstoppable Family. You know what?
My life has become so amazing, my family can travel around the world because I made one decision. It was a big decision. And my decision was to be home with my little girl so she'd have to be home in daycare. And because I have found the solution how to do that, I want to share it with you.
If you want to be able to stay home with your kid, do whatever your solutions are, right? I want you to click the link below. You flat out tell them what to do, or I want you to click the link above. That's going to take you over.
That's going to take you over to a video of some powerful guys that created an amazing blueprint and a platform that has allowed me to do this. And guess what? It's automated. Whoa.
That was like, do it. Right? Do you see the difference? See, but people want you to do it.
You deserve, you've earned the trust to tell them to do something now, to buy something now. Right? That's just how our emails are. We want to do the same thing with our emails.
We want to give, give, give. Bam. Nail them. Okay?
If you do that with your videos, you're going to start seeing more people following and actually watching them and then taking some action. Okay? You with me? Yeah?
All right. I know I'm rocking this fast because I want to make sure we stay on time. Okay. One of my most favorite ways to create a following and to have people continue to take action with your videos and to continue to follow you is creating a video series.
If anyone is brand new, which I think most of us are pretty new, I'm pretty new too. I'm brand new in this company. I've been here for eight and a half years, but I still do these because people love them. It's a video series.
What it does, it helps you stay really focused on the message that you've got and stay really connected to your customer. How we do a video series, I typically have people do like a Monday to Thursday or Monday to Friday. You can stay really focused on your theme and you as a new marketer or someone that's just starting, it helps keep your mind in place. Okay?
So you're like, all right, we're going to talk about, I'm going to talk to moms that want to work from home on, you know, all week, right? So you might do, so how this, how we set it up in the beginning, your first video is like a prep video, right? You're like, Hey, good morning, everyone. It's Monday.
You might, you know, it's running from the unstoppable family. This week I'm going to do a crazy video series about integrity and all week I'm going to share with you examples of really what it takes to live a life of full integrity and to inspire other people to live the same way. Set it up. You tell them what you're going to share with them.
So why want you to tune in all week of exactly what we're going to be covering, you know, just however you say it, but just get in a way that's enticing. So we set it up and I also invite you to come on over to my blog so you can see other videos, right? You can see more of my, my, my video series. So there's that soft CTA.
So we set it up soft CTA. Second one is more content teaser. You'd give a little bit more content, right? Just keep giving, adding more content.
Soft CTA. Then the third one, same way you're starting to offer them and lead up to an offer, right? So now what we're doing is if we're talking about integrity and, and then you might start talking about a company that's got pure integrity and how you work with amazing people and how, what a balance it is to have a company or, or people that you can work with have integrity, right? And then the third one is now you're leading them up to the, to the close, which would be something like I have found a company that has pure integrity.
This is what they do for their people. This is right. So we're setting them up to want empower network. So we set them up.
And then of course the number four is just, you're creating a complete solution. All week I've been talking about how to find a company that's pure integrity, that cares about their people, that cares about the products they put out, cares about the ways that you can change your life for the best. And I want to share with you that company and below here, you can click link, go over to my site, right? So you just set it up the whole week or it's when it's about moms and work from home.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you can hit on so many different things, you build them up.
You're like, so if you really do want to work from home, you've been talking about it all week because all week you might be able to talk about how it is to work from home, right? Being home in your PJs maybe one day or working at my desk or being able to go to the park with your kid, but able to have your smartphone with you. So you talk about situations all week that they might be in or solutions that they might have or problems they might need to be solving. And then you say, and you know what?
I found that solution. This is the solution. solution that's worked for us okay so I really want to invite you and challenge you all to start a video series immediately and you find the content by taking your story or finding different topics and it helps keep you on point each week great question I'm going to show you what how I do um I call it my wheel okay but my marketing wheel and I'll show you exactly oh yeah that's perfect I'm going to show you guys how it helps you really keep your mindset and your mind straight as to what I need to get done um and okay so uh action videos all right how many of you guys have seen those videos people are sitting in front of their computer and they're talking in front of their computer super boring super duper boring okay I do arm videos I mean I do the ones someone else holds it but most of the time I do arm videos because they work and people know that you're real people just love you being real so I do my videos mostly walking um I do them driving in the car I know I've gotten in trouble people say that's dangerous but I don't look at the phone I just drive and I'm like I'm parking I'm looking at something like as I park I look at it but I'm talking it's so cool there's all this weird background so do action videos more than you would do standalone videos okay um interviews are some of the best ways for you guys to start getting your videos in front of people because you interview others that are doing the same thing that you are so you're not selling now you're letting them do the selling and interviews are really great for brand new people you guys could be interviewing each other um about you might find a couple people have different scenarios right solutions that are different well one might be a mom what might be a you know a dad or what might be a just a single dude and he's doing this for you know whatever reason so interviews are great and certainly putting your kids in there is like the best you know I pit my kid out all the time I do like she's so cute and but they're they're real so I use real life stories all the time because people want to be inspired by that okay yeah absolutely and they're funny they do funny stuff you know people love seeing that action so make sure you're doing that okay um now this is my marketing wheel so this really I call this my wheel I hit the spokes of my wheel every single day every single day so how I do it I wake up in the morning and I either did a video the night before or I do one in the morning and I have my video see my hub of my wheel is youtube or is video right my that's my hub your hub might be email your hub might be slightly different but mine is always anchoring a video so what I do I do two separate things I'm going to share with you how I split them up so I'm going to make sure you guys get this because Facebook um likes when you upload it directly to Facebook the people like it better because if you have a link you end up pulling them away to YouTube and just kind of get messy so this is how I do it on my blog okay I do a video it goes immediately to my blog okay immediately I do a blog post about the video okay I always have a call to action I always have my picture at the bottom and I always have yeah do I reiterate it you mean yeah do you just say what's in the video yeah I mean yeah a lot of times you just I'll talk a little bit more deeply I mean I love video because I don't like to write very much so I get my video up there and I anchor that and then I might just put a you know sometimes I write more about it sometimes just give bullet points but that's that's my anchor because they're in your home now right they're home so I I will keep them there and you just you just kind of reiterate what you did in the video all right so then I immediately put it on the blog and then it turns immediately in to an email to my list just as Christina said I typically the blog post okay it goes to your list because your videos on your blog right just as Christina said it perfectly she'll set a post up and bring them over to your blog see I use my blog quite a bit if I'm only if I'm running direct traffic to one site that just goes there and they opt in they stay there in the list when they get to my blog it's a little bit more massaging there's a lot more things that I do with them and share a little bit more I don't sell as hard to my main list on my blog I sell to the ones that opt in to want more information about the business right so I use my blog really as a very solid platform for me to generate leads interest and sales so I have banners on the right side as you guys all should have your widget or I do custom ones because everyone has seen those so I have my own custom one so I get them to the blog and they click around right so that main list I'm not as salesy to them I will be salesy to the list that opted in for working from no home we have a work from no home banner we have a how do we do it banner that's some people that really wanted more information about business so I'm a little softer with my main list is that making sense to you guys when make sure you guys get this because I'm really protective about my list and I have a couple other offers that I do and I don't blast them with everything the one offer that goes for a travel deal that I do only gets that stuff okay and the other offer our empower stuff only gets some power stuff that's salesy but my main opt-in for my blog is my relationship so what so what we do is we do a video then we do a blog post then I send it to my list I typically take half of what I put in my blog post like I believe Christina said the same and I tease them with it I tell them the story and like find out more about the story on the blog or I wrote I go see the video I shot about this on the blog okay and then of course I start sharing it with social media and with Facebook we do the same thing but what I have found is when I share a blog post with Facebook it doesn't get as much attention for some reason but when we take our videos we upload it directly to Facebook you get a lot more interaction and a lot more traffic so what I'll do at that point is I'm going to share my blog post and I'm going to now that I've done the video I upload it to Facebook now I have a couple options if it's a soft CTA I will say go ahead and go on over to my blog right so I've I put my soft link there if it's a sales video that I use one of my sites which is freedom Panora six-figure surfer because I want those hard that hard call to action to go see Dave and Dave's videos now so you do you follow me so I've got my blog that's my kind of soft selling section and I've got adverts actually my site where I want them to immediately get the business info.
Are you guys following me on this? Yeah? You take it all in. I know there's a lot going on today and you're like, my head's getting huge.
I want you to digest this. Are you sending the video to your Facebook fan page or your personal blog? Great question. We are, because we do Unstoppable Family Stuff, typically we'll upload any video series, anything that are really pertaining to business goes to the fan page and then I share it to my personal page.
Because remember it says Rhonda Swan shared Unstoppable Family, right? So now I'm giving a link back to my fan page as well on my personal page. It just gives a little more traffic because Facebook fan pages are really not, unless you're promoting, they really don't get a lot of traffic. Your personal page really does.
That's why they changed that game that way. They want us to pay money to use that fan page. But that's what it's for. Any other questions about that?
Yeah? So you're sending people, you have this video. You want to upload it to Facebook. The video is telling you to go to your Facebook page.
Where they see the same video. It just depends on what, I may not send them to the blog if it's a hard call to action, right? And I may not even ask them to go over to the blog. I might just keep it there in Facebook.
If it's a soft call to action and it's already on the blog, right? No need. Exactly. So I might do the soft videos there and on Facebook keep them there.
My blog's got it. My list has it, right? But Facebook is just seeing it, right? So it's staying right there.
And I may then that just may be a soft video where they're just getting content from me and they're not getting called to do something from Facebook. I usually use the same. I just don't, I just don't, yeah. There's no click.
There's no click though. It doesn't really matter. Same content. You know?
I mean you can do a different video, certainly. You know, but I'll just say I invite you, or I'll say I invite you on over to the blog to see more of these videos. Right? Okay.
Is that clear? Make sure I don't confuse anyone. Yeah? Because I know it gets a little shuffling, but if you really think about the wheel every day you can stay super focused on what to do.
Just stay there and just, I mean every morning I'm like check, check, check, and check. And then you're complete. And then you can do other paid for marketing if you choose. Yeah?
I don't get that. Okay, got it. Yeah. Right, okay.
My blog certainly is what we use to keep around. I have, you have opt-in pages, right? Where they opt-in. They've got Commission Loophole has an opt-in page and it flips over.
Correct. It has a domain, right? Awesome. Okay, any other questions?
That's good. It's good clarity because we want to make sure that we… Yeah, on my blog I have opt-ins everywhere. I mean I have ways to opt-in everywhere on my blog.
Same thing on any let's say sales funnel, like the pages that they have that Adam has created. There's opt-ins. Like they opt-in. You send them to a space, you collect their email, and they get information.
Right? All of those sales funnels should have that. And if you don't have an opt-in, then you're losing that list. You want to build that list.
Every page that Empower offers and Prosperity Team has an opt-in page. Yeah, I mean it takes me about an hour to do this usually. It's like pretty quick if I haven't done the video yet. If I do the video, it's like it's uploaded.
I pop it right in. I embed it into my blog. Type a little stuff. Send it to the list.
Share, share, share, share, share. I mean that's like 20 minutes. So you can really get it done quick. If you're making some hardcore original copy, yeah, it takes a little longer for me because I'm not a writer.
But I'll typically just invite them usually to the blog or send them directly to the sales video pages. Yeah? You guys good? Yeah?
Yeah? Yeah, well, it doesn't matter if you have one or two people. You're always going to send it to them. I do have segmented lists.
Once you get more advanced, you might only have one offer, so everything is Empower. Right? I'm very managed. I manage my lists.
I take care of them so they don't get all pissed off that I'm sending blasting them. So that's kind of spammy. Right? If they get to your blog and they don't, you know, they're, like I use a custom blog, a little bit different than some of the Empower ones right now until the new deal opens.
But that's really more of, like, my stuff. Our Estoppel family brand. And then they get the offer. I get emails for just specific offers.
So if you start adding offers or have different things, you just want to make sure that you're giving them the information they ask for. Yeah? Yeah? Okay, cool.
I know I'm pretty much handing it off to you, John, but I want to show you guys this video because it'll be a really great way for you to hear everything I just said. I want you to listen for it, okay? It's less than five minutes. And what it's going to do, guys, is it's going to show you exactly what I just what I just shared.
I want you to listen. I want you to listen to the hook. I want you to listen to the vulnerability. I want you to listen to the visual that's created.
And I want you to hear the call to action. Okay? It may not be loud enough for the whole family. I decided to shoot this video today because Oh, we've got to let this, let me let it buffer for a second.
Oops. Oh, yeah, that's a good one, right? Kind of normal, right? It's always like that.
That's like someone the other night, like, oh, gosh, I keep taking pictures of you, and they're really bad. I'm like, all of my pictures are like, because I don't stop my face moving. It's a blessing and a curse. I know, whatever.
I deal with it. I don't really care. All right, let's see. Do you guys think this will work?
Do you think it'll buffer out? No, just it needs to buffer. All right, while we're waiting for this, because it might take a minute. If it doesn't, I'll show you guys later.
Any specific questions anymore you guys have? Yeah? While this is doing this? I never mention a company ever because this is why this is huge.
I never have ever, ever mentioned the company because I want them to follow me. And if my deal changes in three years and five years, which has changed three times in eight and a half years, all my videos are, they're evergreen. They all go to anywhere I want. My story's the same, right?
So, yeah, I never get caught because I don't, I just, it's an inspirational video. Yeah, I get them later. Hey, everyone. It's Rhonda Swan from the Unstoppable family.
I decided to shoot this video today because I had this really crazy vision. And I'm going to share with you what happened. This morning I was in a store and I saw this woman. She was really well done.
Her hair was done. She was in a suit. She was going up to the register and she looked like she was in a super massive hurry. She was in heels.
She had her bag. And I immediately went back. To the day when I was a corporate executive. Eight and a half years ago, I was a corporate executive for a large pharmaceutical company.
I was pretty much groomed to run a company. Right? I got my master's. I got my undergraduate degree.
And I was really just wanting to be that corporate executive woman that made all the six figures. The hair was always done. The shoes were on. And the bag was there.
And this woman that I saw this morning, it made me instantly go back to that space. And when I went back to that space, my stomach kind of got turned a little bit. And the reason why I say that is because I literally quit my job eight and a half years ago to live a life of pure freedom. To actually create my own destiny.
Now, I know as a corporate woman, you might be going, oh gosh, here she goes a little hokey pokey. But this is what's so crazy. I remember being in the corporate world wanting more. Not wanting more as in, in necessarily money, more life, more time, and more freedom.
And one morning I went to a meeting, and I saw this woman who had just had a child. This was my biggest trigger. And my boss said, you have to be at this meeting every morning at 7.30 in the morning, so you need to drop off this eight-week-old baby at daycare, and not pick her up until 6. Immediately, my body started to tremble.
I hadn't had a child, yet. Here I was, grooming to run the western division of this massive company. And I started to feel hollow. I went, Rhonda, what are you doing with your life right now?
How are you ever going to have a child and have a family and still work this kind of job? You know, my mom was home with me all my life as I was growing up, but my mom was a stay-at-home mom. So I didn't want to be, like, necessarily a stay-at-home mom that just wore a robe all day and made kids food in the morning. I wanted to be someone that could raise a child, be a complete, awesome inspiration for my child, who I now have a six-year-old, and to still make the kind of income that I wanted.
So I started searching out for a way that I could still be this powerful Rhonda that I am, that corporate mindset, that person that was really gung-ho and motivated to do more, but for a way to work for myself and to make it happen. And I looked and I exhausted a lot of ideas. Franchise, like, that's a lot of income to or a lot of investment and also a lot of time. I looked at a lot of different things, and then I decided to really look into creating and to really working with a blueprint and a system that can allow me to be all those things, but to still be with my little girl every single day.
You know, my family has actually been now traveling around the world for four and a half years. I've been an independent entrepreneur for eight and a half years. And what I realized four and a half years into it is that I could literally live the life that we dreamed of. My husband's a big surfer, so we wanted to truly start living the dreams of, really, living the life of our dreams and taking our little girl with us.
So I love sharing it, especially with women and corporate executives or really just motivated women or even men. Certainly you guys all have motivation, too. But for a way for you to still hold who you are, so make that incredible income, but to literally choose how you want to live life. My family's chosen to travel around the world.
And I want to show it with you guys, because the gift that was given to me has totally changed the way I live and the way my little girl lives. You know, she has now been all over the world. She's got more stamps on her passport than most kids do or most adults do. She knows languages and she's cultured.
So I've been able to not only maintain this type of lifestyle that we lived when we were in San Diego, but also now to truly take life on. And I want to share it with you. So if you want, go ahead. There's a link below me.
I'd like to invite you to go take a look at our site and to see that blueprint that we utilize to live this type of life, to be with my daughter, to have the type of income that I used to have in the corporate, but with a lot less stress and a lot more fun. You know, I also want to invite you guys. I love to keep in contact with the people that watch my videos. I'm right now maxed out on Facebook.
But I, every day, delete people that are inactive and add new people that request to be my friend. So what I want you guys to do is if you would, just go ahead and go to Rhonda Swan, and it's actually spelled R capital H-O-N-D-A Swan so you can find me. And send me a little message. Let me know if I inspired you or if there's something I can help you with.
You know, I just love helping other women and other people find their true passion in life and not be slaved to that job or to that boss that they have been because you've got so much more powers and more to give the world than to just be locked in. So if you want to become part of it, I'd love to hear about it. So send me a message, connect with me, and I just can't wait to either work with you one day or at least to help you out and see if I can assist you by utilizing the experiences that I've had. So guys, this is Rhonda Swan in this gorgeous day.
Go out and be unstoppable today. Woo! See you later. Do you see that?
Do you see all the components? I was a lot more long-winded than I thought. Do you get that? See, can you guys do that?
Yeah, just, you don't have to think much about it. Certainly there's a formula, but just follow along, solve some problems, tell them how you got the solution, and bam, send them somewhere. Yep. Alright, rock and roll.
Everyone's going to do a video, right? Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone. Yay. Okay, good job.
Thanks, guys.

Because you... Oh, good idea.
Yeah. Yeah. Thanks. Because it really is valuable, guys, when we're doing video. But this is the thing.
I can't do anything really yet unless these slides come on. So do we have that? I mean, I can talk, but they need to see stuff to take notes. Do we have a... Are they rounding up?
So I have to do my pony dance show for you guys in between then? We'll wait for them to get here. So let's talk about that a little bit. Let's talk about what our fears are with doing video. Because I'm going to talk about why you should, right?
And I'm actually going to lay out really, really simple ways for you to create content for your video to never run out of content. And to structure it in a way that make people want what you're talking about. Doesn't that sound fun? Yeah. Because, I mean, how many of us have ever done videos and we're like, oh, no one's done anything with that video.
Right? You're just like, oh, hi, I'm so... I mean, I've done that for a long time. I just get talking and there's zero purpose. So when we start to realize if we...
I call it posting with purpose, shooting videos with purpose.
And what I love the most about... What Christina was sharing is it really does apply. It all applies to video as well.
So we started off a couple minutes ago, guys, before Christina came on about the fears of video. So what we're going to talk about... Oh, that was horrible, wasn't it? ...is really how to structure your videos, okay? So that people are taking action with them.
Just as Christina was sharing how you do it with email, you want to do the same way with video. How many of you guys ever go, I don't really know what to say in my video? Do you ever feel that way? Not too many. Good.
Okay, good. Well, we can give you some ideas of how to really generate topics and have content because your whole life is full of content, right? Your process right now that you're in is your content, right? So you are learning how to be a successful online marketer. I'm still learning, right?
So I do things as... I do videos as... as they come up for me in my life and in my business, okay? So let's... I'm just going to run through this because I know that we have a tight schedule, but there's really some key things that we want to cover.
If you ever...
Because if people...
If they see a video of yours... And it's like 7 to 12 minutes long, they're going to go, I'm going to get back to that.
Okay. So, of course, again, we always want to relate to someone, just we were talking earlier, but vulnerability...
So, if you're vulnerable and you share it, and again, just like the guys are talking, you don't... Will was talking about this earlier.
Right? You don't have... I know you guys have some personality.
So, and yeah, so there's a list of moms.
Yeah.
It's good clarity because we want to make sure that we... Yeah, on my blog I have opt-ins everywhere.
