Jubril Agoro’s New Facebook Fanpage Setup, From Zero Fans Up

This lesson is part of Unstoppable Dream
The full recording is free with an account. One email gets you in.

Six months before Jubril Agoro used him as his opening example, a guy named Keith couldn’t figure out how to send a message on Skype. No fan page, no following, past fifty years old, completely new to the internet marketing world. By the time Jubril is teaching this session, Keith is running campaigns that generate real weekly revenue, at lead costs most experienced marketers never hit.

As someone about to build your very first fan page with zero followers and zero history behind it, that gap between Keith’s starting point and where he ended up is exactly the reassurance you need before you build anything. Jubril uses it deliberately, because most people assume they need an existing audience before Facebook will take them seriously. This session is the mechanical process that proves otherwise.

Why does a brand new fan page with zero fans still have a real shot?

Jubril’s second example in this session is a page he set up and started advertising the same day he recorded it, specifically to prove a point: you don’t need history, a large following, or a polished brand before Facebook will show your ad to the right person. What actually matters is targeting and content, not tenure. A page with forty likes, run with the right process, functions the same as a page with tens of thousands, because the mechanics Facebook rewards, engagement, relevance, and value, don’t care how old your page is.

What’s the actual ratio between value posts and promotion?

This is the single most practical number in the whole session. Jubril treats Facebook the way it actually functions for most users, a place for friends and family, not a billboard.

You want to provide ten pieces, or I’d say nine pieces of great actual content without having links, without having anything asking for anything.

Only after that ratio is established does a promotional post with a link belong on the page. Post promotion after promotion and Facebook’s own algorithm suppresses your reach, on top of training your actual fans to tune you out. Post genuine value first, and both the platform and the people on it reward you with the free reach a straight sales page would never earn. As Jubril puts it plainly, “Facebook is designed for friends and family.” Every decision about what to post follows from taking that sentence seriously instead of fighting it.

Why treat your fan page’s settings like the rules of your own home?

Most people click through a fan page’s setup screens without a second thought. Jubril treats every one of them as a real decision, especially the settings that determine who can post on your timeline, whether comments get reviewed before they’re visible, and which words get automatically hidden. His reasoning is the clearest metaphor in the whole session.

As he puts it, “You’re very selective who you allow into your home and your Facebook fan page is the exact same thing.” That’s not a throwaway line. A page where anyone can post anything, where curse words show up unfiltered, where a stranger’s random comment sits next to your content, sends a signal about who you are before a visitor reads a single word you wrote yourself. Reviewing posts before they go live, filtering language you don’t want associated with your name, and deciding who gets admin access all protect the one thing a new page actually has to sell: the first impression of the person running it.

How much should you actually spend boosting your first posts?

Jubril’s approach to budget is intentionally small and deliberate rather than aggressive. With a modest audience, a few dollars spread over a couple of days is enough to get existing fans actually seeing your content again, since Facebook quietly stops showing your posts to people who haven’t engaged with you recently unless you pay to remind them. The point isn’t to blow through a budget chasing reach. It’s to keep your actual fans in front of your content while you build the value-first habit that eventually earns free reach without paying for it at all.

  • A page with zero history can still perform, because targeting and content matter more than tenure.
  • Keep roughly nine value posts for every one promotional post.
  • Treat your settings, especially who can post and what language is filtered, as protecting your first impression.
  • Start boosting small and only to your existing engaged audience before scaling anything up.

Hey everyone, welcome to the Facebook marketing section of the Unstoppable Mastermind Friday. And today, what I want to do for 90 minutes is take you A through Z in setting up an ad. So, how do you set up a fan page? You know, content creation, setting up your ads, and then what to watch once your ads are running.

And I know 90 minutes is not that long, it's going to be a lot of information, so I want you to grab a notepad, grab a pen, because we're going to be going over a lot in the 90 minutes. And I could go on for days about Facebook, but I'm going to include today the most important things that you need to know when setting up a campaign. So, what we're going to do right now is we're going to jump into it and waste no time. So, first thing that I want to go over is a few different examples of fan pages, because before you create any ads on Facebook, if you don't have a fan page, you can't create any type of advertisements.

And so, I want to go over, maybe you're not in the internet marketing, maybe you have an offline business, and so I want to go over quite a few different examples with you on how you can do that. But first, we're going to go and do the online segment, because I know most of you guys do have some type of online business, or you've been in direct sales, maybe network marketing, or just affiliate marketing space, and that's what I want to go over first, but we're also going to go over a little bit about the offline space.

So, first thing we have here, I want to go over is a few different things, and I want to go over a few different examples of fan pages. Actually, I had them pulled up, but let me pull them up right here again. So, first we're going to look at a guy named Keith. And, you know, Keith has an incredible story right here, because Keith literally six months ago was having frustrations using Skype, didn't know how to really send an email out, and he was like, how do I get this Skype thing to work?

I know nothing at all about Facebook. You know? He's over 50 years old, but now this guy is running campaigns like a champ, and he's like one of the perfect examples, because six months ago, he knew literally nothing and didn't know how to use Skype. You know, one of those stories almost seems too good to be true, but we have countless stories like this because of the training, you know, that we provide here.

And so, I want to talk about Keith here real quick. You know, Keith Parmitier, and we're just taking a look at his fan page, right? He's in the direct sales. He's in the industry, and he's also branching out now into creating his product.

But right now, all he does is do, you know, is affiliate offers. So, what I'm going to show you here is his fan page. He just has, you know, a really nice picture of himself. Obviously, you can tell he has American pride through and through in his picture.

And he loves being on the water. And so, let's show you some of his promotion. He's showing, you know, some other entrepreneurs here on his page. And here's a video that he has.

We absolutely love video marketing. I can't say enough how much Facebook also loves video marketing. I've actually been on the phone with Facebook quite a lot in recent times, and they were telling me, hey, we love video even more than text right now. And as you can look at some of the numbers, the engagements right now are so much lower for video.

So, it's an excellent way to go. It doesn't matter if you're just shooting, you know, the little selfie, you know, just talking, talking to the camera that you can see Keith is doing right here or you have a more professional video that's professionally shot. Video overall is doing amazing right now on Facebook. And it's, you know, first quarter going into second quarter 2015 that we're shooting this right now.

So, as you can see, Keith doing another one. And I'll talk a little bit about this advertisement. I'll come back to it so you understand it a little bit more. Right now, you're watching Keith doing some videos.

And he's started to build his fan page. And what he's doing is he doesn't have any links. He's just providing a lot of value. But one of the things Facebook does on the fan page is they don't do a lot for once you when you're creating content, they don't do a lot to push it to your prior audience unless they're engaging with you.

It pretty much doesn't show up in their timeline. I think it's something like if they haven't had an engagement with you in the last 30 days, a like, a share, a comment, you pretty much won't show up in their timeline unless you're promoting. Which is called like a boost post, which you'll see right here. You can hit the boost button.

So if we do a boost right here, right, I'll just show you what it looks like. So for all of Keith's fans that he's already acquired, and like for since his audience is not, you know, the hugest audience, the hugest, I'm making up new words. But since it's not the biggest audience, we might do something like $5 might be something very reasonable. You know, for his audience.

We might let this thing, we might let it run for something like two days. So $2.50 per day. And that will get basically a lot of his fans seeing his content. And the reason that we'll do something like this is because you don't want to have promotions all throughout your Facebook fan page.

If you just have promotion after promotion after promotion, Facebook and the user are going to be like, we don't like this person. Because you have to think about Facebook as a bigger picture right here. Facebook is designed for friends and family. People want to interact on Facebook.

They log on to see, you know, grandparents are seeing their grandfather's pictures. Their grandparents are logging on to see their grandfather's pictures. No, grandparents are logging on to see, you know, their kids' pictures or their grandparents' pictures, right? Boyfriend and girlfriends, they're going to spy on everyone.

Everyone is there for a social experience. And so Facebook doesn't want to have it clogged with, you know, basically spammy marketers' kind of content. So, when you create content that people actually want to see, Facebook will reward you. And so, basically, I have kind of a ratio of one to ten.

You want to provide ten pieces, or I'd say nine pieces of great actual content without having links, without having anything asking for anything. And then, when you actually want to promote something, then you can post something with a link. So, it has a really good ratio of basically adding more value. It has more value than you're asking for, and people will love that, and they'll interact more with you, and you'll show up more for free in the time without actually having to boost it.

And I'll show you some more tips along the way that you can make sure that people actually do see everything that you do. So that's just something that we would do here. Like Keith, he has endless summer for boomers. So we're not going to go ahead and boost it right now, but I'll show you that a little bit later on.

But I want to show you here real quick one of Keith's other videos. And I'm going to show you one of Keith's other videos. And I'm going to show you one of Keith's other videos. And I'm going to show you one of Keith's other videos.

And so Keith has, let's see here, boom. So this is one of his professional videos that he had shot by an amazing filmmaker. And you can do it with whoever you want to do that you're watching. But sometimes it is good to have a professionally made video that you're actually promoting to your target audience so you can get your message across the best way possible.

And so he has a little bit of text here, but not too much. And so here, early retirement realized. So his target market is baby boomers, right? People from the age of like 40 to 65 plus.

And so that's who he targets. And they're like, wow, early retirement. And they see something in a timeline, they're like, wow, how did he do it? So he talks about it.

And at the bottom of it, he has a link to his website right here. So he has his business, right? But let's take a look at this. This is incredible, like absolutely incredible.

And the reason he has such a high ratio of shares because he knows his target market. And also it's an amazing video. So he has a total of 921, like actually more about 924 because it says 921 plus others, right? But here's the incredible thing, 442 shares.

That's half of the people that have liked this video had shared it. And that's incredible. If you look at a lot of the content on Facebook. Nobody is really doing those numbers.

And what makes it even more incredible is that it's an advertisement. It's an advertisement for Keith. And now I want to share some of the results Keith has been experiencing. Keith last week generated over $10,000 in revenue last week.

You know, those results are not typical. I can't guarantee you're going to have the same results. But this is a guy that was having trouble sending Skype messages, like simple Skype. But for him it wasn't because it was a complete brand new world for him.

And then also his target audience, that is he wants to jump online and also introduce to the online world, it's a similar thing for them. So that's the power of Facebook and they are here on Facebook. So what I want to do is just kind of show you some of the comments, right? Hey Keith, I'd like to know more about this opportunity.

My email is this. So people are literally saying, Keith, I want to know more. Tell me more. And I want to show you how you can do this.

I want to show you how you can do this for your business. So Keith is just one example of a fan page, right? And he's in the online affiliate space, network marketing side of things, basically a hybrid affiliate marketing offer. So let me show you another example here real quick of Facebook marketing.

So we have actually, I'll actually show you my fan page here real quick. And I'll show you the unstoppable families. You know, the amazing Rhonda Swan. As you guys all know.

And while this loads, I'm actually, my internet's not too quick here, let me pull this back up. And oh yeah, before I move on, let me go back to Keith real quick. Right now he's consistently generating leads at under $1.50 per lead. That's incredible.

And this is like the highest quality targeted leads. That's why he's making the kind of revenue that he's making right now. More than, I don't know, I'm not going to go into his history, if you want to find out more about Keith, you can obviously do that. So here's my page right here.

This page specifically focuses on travel. And I also have a marketing product that teaches people to work and travel. But this page specifically is a lot about marketing, I mean a lot about traveling. So here is, you know, my page is all about me traveling around the world.

And I use the promotions to acquire deals with a lot of offline businesses, right? And then also to build my email list. So when people are seeing our content, they're like, they reach out and they're like, hey, come to our resort. So like right now.

We're in Panama, Panama City, Panama. And so I've been running promotions. And basically, like literally maybe 15 to 20% of the whole city knows who I am, like here in Panama City. And I've done it all through the power of Facebook marketing.

And there's local marketing and you have the same. If you live in a place like Chicago with a lot more people, advertising is a little bit more expensive. This same technique is available, but 20% of the city might not know you. And also the content that we shot was also very, very high end.

So that's also another pit that played. That's also a big part of the puzzle. But I want to just show you here the page. So here I'm like, hey, I'm hanging out here.

Can anyone show me around in this part of town and literally we've had the biggest people in town reaching out to us saying, hey, come to our business and help us, you know, promote our business. You can stay at our hotel for free. Or we want to pay you to help us promote our business because we know you know what you're doing because we see you in the timeline. And I want to show you how to do this.

If you have maybe a yoga studio, a yoga studio locally or, you know, something very similar. Or maybe you have a, you know, a doctor's office, a lawyer's office, how to promote locally. I want to show you how to do that. So I'm going to show you here an example of a video here real quick.

I have quite a few. So my most recent video here. As you can see here. It's a promotional video for showing off Panama.

But my bigger purpose was I wanted to come back to Panama and have businesses invest in our marketing. And also I wanted a lot of the worldwide community to opt into my marketing list, you know, which they have done. And so here you can see we have 220,000 views here on Facebook, you know, 8,000 shares basically and about 6,500 likes. Okay.

So I'm going to show you the power of Facebook marketing. And I just want to go through a copy here real quick. It's basically outside the box marketing. My name is Mr.

Thing outside the box. So it's nothing. It doesn't seem like a promotion. This is one of the biggest things that I want to explain to you when you're on Facebook.

You don't want to seem like a typical marketer. I don't matter if you're marketing for, like I said, a lawyer's office. You don't want to be like, Hey, this is James Brown. I live here in Idaho.

And if you're looking for the best, you know, practices. The best practice. The best practice here in Idaho, I would love to serve you. Give me a call at 877-255.

You don't want to do that. You want to have something more creative. You know, talk about the experience. People on Facebook love experiences of the customer.

So maybe have some of the testimonials talking about how great you are because you're never a profit in your home state. And when other people are talking about you, it's so much more powerful. And then also if you can do some demonstrations inside of your videos. In your content, people will love you.

So if you're a doctor, right in your local area, talk about, and maybe it's flu season right now. Talk about some of the top ways that they can treat their flus or some of the things that they can watch out for, right? And they're like, wow, that doctor is really cool. Or maybe you're a yoga teacher, right?

Talk about some of the, you know, cool yoga poses and everything that they can do. Teach them some stuff and like, Hey, we also have classes in this local area. These are some of the things that you want to do outside the box marketing and Facebook absolutely loves it because you're going to have engaging comments. So maybe when you're doing, let's say yoga, for example, right?

Let's stay on track. You're doing a yoga class online and you're teaching people a specific yoga pose and people, if you have any questions, ask below, right? I'm here locally. And so people like, Hey, how did you get to that specific pose?

And people leave in comments, the more engagement, the better, you know, for your ads because Facebook absolutely loves that. And so just kind of keep that in mind when you're creating and also online, right? For me, I'm doing a video on Panama city. It's not local.

It is locally here, but I'm also provide marketing to a worldwide audience. And so one of the cool things that I've done with this video, this is really ninja right here. I want you to really pay attention because a lot of internet marketers, they don't do this. And so for me, I want it to really be known throughout the internet marketing space.

And so there's a lot of content that kind of looks the same. But I've had a lot of the biggest marketers. I've marketed this video to a lot of marketers because the dream for a lot of people is freedom. I was like, what better than actually showing, you know, how internet marketers are living and they're like, wow, I think this is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

So just kind of a little outside the box marketing for you. And I just list the links. So basically you're going to list your links within the title description of your posts. So this is just one other example.

And I want to show you. Okay. So I'm going to show you real quick here, uh, two more examples, and then we're going to go into basically how to set up the ads and then also how to find, you know, the keywords, the target audience that you want to target. So we have the homie here, Takako talking about the best ramen noodles he's ever eaten in his life.

Okay. Interesting. So let's take a look here real quick. So we got that, my page out of the way.

And like, I will have links. I will have links to my own stuff also, but, um, let's take a look here at the unstoppable mastermind, right? So now the next ones in Nashville, Tennessee, um, at the time of watching this video, I'm not sure when you're watching it, but so what we're advertising here on this page for the unstoppable mastermind is individuals like you who are interested in coming to this event. So I'm, you know, pushing it out to other, maybe you follow Frank Kern, or maybe you follow, um, you know, Tracy Walker, or maybe you follow some type of internet marketer, or maybe you just follow a surfer, right?

And have the dream about living a freedompreneur lifestyle. And this has given you the option to basically make that happen for you. Basically this is who I'm targeting here, you know, on this page. And so obviously we make some pretty cool stuff.

And right now the next mastermind is in Bali, right? And so we're targeting a lot of people. Um, geographically in Australia and New Zealand, because we know it's easier for them to get to the event. So you just always want to think about who's going to relate most to your ads.

So this is just an example of another ad, and let me show you here real quick. And you might think, Hey, Jabril, you've got like 25,000 fans. That's why people love your stuff. No, you can have a brand new, think about Keith.

Like I said, the very first example, there's a reason I used him first because he started literally. With no experience, no fan page, no nothing. He just got down to work and made it happen. And now I want to show you, maybe you're a seasoned marketer, but you have, um, nothing going on.

I'll show you an example here of a guy named John. Right now we're running some promotions, um, for him locally, um, in London, he has an event coming up. So I want to show you, you know, his page and kind of what's going on here and kind of the marketing madness, um, you know, behind it. And I want to let you know, like it doesn't ha you don't have to have a brand new ad, you don't have to have an established page to make something happen.

So one second here, John and like, I literally just started running for this page, the ads earlier today. Cause I wanted to show you really how brand new this is, right? So he's got 40 likes, um, on this page, which pretty much just all came in. And as you can see, this post just has, uh, uh, three likes, but by the end of the day, this might have like 40, 50 likes and a few comments.

Okay. But I'm going to show you how we marketed it and I'm just marketing it to the people in the UK because this is a specific UK focused event. And so this is for like local advertising. And maybe you have, like I said, a yoga studio, you create some cool content.

You can even have an image ad, or if you have classes, um, you know, you could post something. Hey, we're having a special class today. Um, first 10 people that come to class, you know, half prices. Okay.

We're going to give them a discount or something, something like that. Or if you're a high end business and you don't offer discounts, just provide more value. But I want to show you how to literally set this up, start to finish. So you know what it looks like on the backend here on Facebook.

I just want to show you, you know, a few different examples. And so that's enough examples. Um, for now I want to go into actually setting up, um, a fan page here really quickly. And I'll do that here.

So let me go back to my page and so create a page and I'm actually starting a new page for myself. But, uh, yeah, so create a page, uh, here we go. So now what you want to do. So if you're a local business, if you're a company or organization, brand, um, cause a community is pretty self explanatory.

Okay. Um, we do actually have a course that goes much further into detail that has like, you know, 20 hours of material just on Facebook marketing. We want to just give you the introduction here of how to get an ad set up and help you the best way possible. So let's see here.

I, for this, let me be a, a blogger. Okay. So I'm a blogger named your bro, Mr. Think.

And now you're going to hit. Get started. I'm just going through the steps with you here because we have limited time. I'm not going to go into, um, all of this stuff in great detail just so I can get over all the content with you.

So here we have, it says add a description and a website to improve your page rank in search. So what you're doing here is setting it up so it shows up in Google. All right. So it's basically collaborating with Google for SEO purposes.

Okay. So when someone's searching, maybe your name, your company brand, however you want to be found, don't go switching names or you're going to really mess up, um, you know, the Google algorithms and also Facebook. So pick something that you want to be known for and stick to it. So this is what you're going to, you're going to type, um, whatever it is that you want to be known for right now.

You know, um, I have a Bikram yoga studio. And I love pretty girls now, let me be serious. Um, but basically you're just going to put a descriptive paragraph in here, what your business or your brand is about, right? And then you're going to put your website.

Um, if you don't have a website right now, you can put maybe your YouTube URL. If you have a Twitter, um, an Instagram, you can put this in here, basically what you want, um, people to go to on your site. Right. And now I'm not going to put anything in cause I don't really have anything that I want to put in right now, but address name.

Once you have this, it can only be changed once. But like I said, pick this name carefully. So when you're, if you're having business cards or something right for your business, um, or you're handing out something. And also if maybe if you have a blog, if you're putting a Facebook name and it's on there, if you change it, uh, that's on someone else's site and they go to click it.

Yeah. It's going to be an invalid URL. So you want to make sure that you keep the same URL. So for example, let's put Mr.

Think, uh, Jabril as the URL. So now I save the info and now you want to put a profile picture. Um, if you want to have a company logo, go for it. Um, for me and especially on Facebook, it's so it's called Facebook.

Right. And so when you have a profile picture, it does stand out so much more. So I would highly suggest, um, having, Oh, let me, I don't even know what pictures are going to show up here. Yikes.

Um, uh, nothing looks too bad. I don't really need, um, here's my, me and my buddy, uh, on the race here in Panama. Nothing too bad showed up. So thank God for that.

And so what we're going to do is it's uploading right now. We're waiting for that. We're waiting for it to upload, um, add to favorites, right? So you can add to favorites.

I don't really do too much with this, but you can, if you want, so I'm going to go ahead and skip it. And now this is a really cool thing that you can do right here. So Facebook will go ahead and link you up with the audience that is best for you. Right.

But you have to tell them who that is, right? So for example, let's say example, I'm thinking about Tampa, but I'm talking about example. Um, so location, right? Let's just actually say Tampa.

Let's say I have a yoga studio in Tampa and I want to, you know, target everyone here. So, and I will only want women from the ages of 30 through 55, right? No men, just women. And so I'm going to do certain types of yoga, right?

Bikram. I think I'm spelling it right. Yeah. There we go.

So yoga, um, ah, and then, so they actually give you some examples of other types of yoga. I've got this type of yoga, hot yoga, Hatha yoga, uh, can't even pronounce it yoga. But um, you get the point, but you don't want to do too many more than I'd say, have a maximum of like five or six, so you don't confuse Facebook's algorithms because if you put too many different things, they're like, who are you trying to target? So I'd have a maximum, maximum of five things in here.

So here we go. And now I'm going to click save, right? Now we have a page and I have my profile picture and now the tabs, right? Getting around everything that you need to manage your Facebook fan page.

So you have your like button. So when people are going to like your page, they're going to do this. So now you have that and then you have invite your friends. So the people that are going to support you most right away are going to be people who you already know.

So you can invite them to like your page to kind of give you the first little boost. Um, the most important thing, so it's going to talk about how many likes that you have for the week, how many notifications, how many unread messages that you have, right? So you can do a cover photo that's pretty similar to Facebook. I'm pretty sure that you're already on Facebook, so I'm not going to go over that.

But one of the big things about cover photos, they're kind of particular on what you can have. You can't have just an all out promotional like thing on the cover photo. I don't know why, but that's just the way that they are. You have messages right here.

Like I said, you have notifications. Ah, this is a really big thing. If you can tell people to do this, this will really, if you can tell people to do this, this will really increase your engagement. So if you can tell people to do this, this will really increase your engagement.

So if you hover over here, it says liked, right? And here it's going to say, when it finishes loading, it's going to say get notifications. So basically, once you click here, and your fans do too, every time that you post something on your Facebook fan page, they will get a notification about it. Okay?

That's one of the top things that you want to do, or else a lot of people are not going to see what you're up to and what your business is. So that's one of the big things. What your business is up to. So if you can get people to do that, it's worth its weight in gold.

So here, and I want to go over the settings here real quick on your fan page. So page published. I don't want to actually have my page published. So unpublish it because it's not done.

I don't want a bunch of people coming and looking at a page that I'm really not putting up and seeing them talking about hot chicks and yoga. Some people have probably already seen it since I see from the comments and notification. Yikes! Oh man, funny stuff.

But here, I want to go over some really important stuff here in the settings. So posting ability. You want to talk about anyone can post to the timeline and anyone can add photos. You don't really want to do that because you want to control your fan page.

You want to have the main voice. You don't want everyone else coming and talking on your page. So you can control the energy on the page. So allow others to post on the timeline.

Okay? I wouldn't do that. Or what I would do is review posts by others before they're shown on the page. You can do that because one of the cool things that might happen is you might have an amazing testimonial from a customer, right?

And you would love for that to be highlighted, right? But you don't want to have a bunch of people posting a bunch of random things. You want to control the environment on your page. This is your home and you should treat it as such, right?

You're very selective who you allow into your home and your Facebook fan page is the exact same thing. You're not just going to let anyone walk through the door and you're going to have rules to your house, right? To your home. And that's how you should have your Facebook fan page, right?

So review it and allow video and photo posts, but just have the review option. So I'm going to save that, right? Targeting for posts and privacy. Now targeting, I leave it unchecked, I don't really find it a big deal.

And now this is a big thing, messages, right? People if you can do, allow people to contact you privately. You want to have this up so people can send you messages. Tagging ability, just have it to where others can tag you.

For me, I'm like, yeah, I don't really need a bunch of people tagging me. If you want, you can have it, it's personal preference. Age restrictions, right? If you're selling alcohol, obviously you're going to have it 21 and up in the United States.

You know, just use your own judgment for that. For me, I have no big deals. Now for country restrictions, if you don't want certain countries that your page to show up in certain countries, there might be certain things that you're doing you might not want all countries to be a part of. So you can do that here.

A lot of this stuff is self-explanatory. Choose if your page is suggested to other pages, I mean to other people. Do have that. So basically.

When you type in the beginning, hey, I'm Bikram Yoga, I'm this, I'm that, and then also the people that like your page, it all helps the Facebook algorithms to say, okay, let's suggest you to whoever else is in yoga locally, right? If you like this page, you're probably going to like this page, right? So for example, if you like Sports Illustrated, you're probably going to like ESPN, right? If you like meditation, you're probably going to like meditation music page.

So that's the kind of things Facebook will do for your page. And now profanity filter. I actually do use this. And so I have it on medium and then also, actually you can have it off.

There's another thing that you can have where it says moderation, page moderation. Okay. This is great. So if you don't want certain words.

Okay. Words used in your, on your page. So if people, if you don't want any curse words on your page, you can go ahead and put like, you have fuck, right? You know, you don't want anyone to say fuck.

So you can go ahead and put that in your words because some people will use it. Or like for me, since I'm black and people would be like, yo, what up, Matt? And I'd be like, no, I don't want that on my page. That's not kind of the vibe that I want on my page.

So you can basically put all the words that will automatically hide comments. That use the words that you don't want to use. Or maybe if you don't want to have, you know, the word scam or you don't want any words that you don't want to be used in the comments, you can come put it here and save it and they will not show up in your, on your page. Cause like I said, it's your home.

You set the tone of how you know your home is going to be treated. If you don't have certain words, if you have children around, you're probably not going to want to have curse words in your home. So when someone says that, Hey, can you please not use that word? Okay.

I'm not going to use it in my home. We do not allow that here. And it's the same thing here on your fan page. So enough about that.

A lot of this is self-explanatory. And like I said, um, in the course that we have, we go into detail and like each little thing, but I want to make sure we get through, um, everything today. So notifications, page rolls, this is really important here. So if you want to have someone else have access to the page and be able to manage the page.

So for example, maybe I want my brother. To, you know, post for me when I'm on vacation or manage some of the comments, do some interaction. Or if you have employees that you want to, um, have interaction or answer messages, if you have an assistant, this is where you're going to come and add them and you can give them certain permissions. They can be an admin, a monitor, a moderator, an advertiser, or an analyst.

And if you trust them, just make them an admin. Right. Um, and that basically gives them a lot of, uh. They can basically do whatever they want, but if you don't, you know, maybe you give them analysts or advertisers, but you can go on Facebook and look through the different permissions that they have.

I'm not going to go over them all right now. So there we go. Let me give my brother admin, he's saved. And now it's asking for my password, which I don't remember off the top of my head.

So I have my password saved for that exact reason. And did it. So boom. Okay.

I actually need to type it in. So let me go here and actually copy my password and paste it in here. Boom. And now my brother is an admin.

So this is what you want to really know. Preferred audience. You can have featured content, banned users, mobile, um, I'm not really going to go into much more.

Okay.

So I'm going to show you real quick here, two more examples, and then we're going to go into basically how to set up the ads and then also how to find, you know, the keywords, the target audience that you want to target. So we have the homie here, Takako talking about the best ramen noodles he's ever eaten in his life. Okay. Interesting. So let's take a look here real quick.

So we got that, my page out of the way. And like, I will have links. I will have links to my own stuff also, but, let's take a look here at the unstoppable mastermind, right? So now the next ones in Nashville, Tennessee, at the time of watching this video, I'm not sure when you're watching it, but so what we're advertising here on this page for the unstoppable mastermind is individuals like you who are interested in coming to this event. So I'm, you know, pushing it out to other, maybe you follow Frank Kern, or maybe you follow, you know, Tracy Walker, or maybe you follow some type of internet marketer, or maybe you just follow a surfer, right?

And have the dream about living a freedompreneur lifestyle. And this has given you the option to basically make that happen for you. Basically this is who I'm targeting here, you know, on this page. And so obviously we make some pretty cool stuff. And right now the next mastermind is in Bali, right?

And so we're targeting a lot of people. geographically in Australia and New Zealand, because we know it's easier for them to get to the event.

And now I want to show you, maybe you're a seasoned marketer, but you have, nothing going on. I'll show you an example here of a guy named John. Right now we're running some promotions, for him locally, in London, he has an event coming up. So I want to show you, you know, his page and kind of what's going on here and kind of the marketing madness, you know, behind it. And I want to let you know, like it doesn't ha you don't have to have a brand new ad, you don't have to have an established page to make something happen.

So one second here, John and like, I literally just started running for this page, the ads earlier today. Cause I wanted to show you really how brand new this is, right? So he's got 40 likes, on this page, which pretty much just all came in. And as you can see, this post just has, three likes, but by the end of the day, this might have like 40, 50 likes and a few comments. Okay.

But I'm going to show you how we marketed it and I'm just marketing it to the people in the UK because this is a specific UK focused event. And so this is for like local advertising. And maybe you have, like I said, a yoga studio, you create some cool content. You can even have an image ad, or if you have classes, you know, you could post something. Hey, we're having a special class today.

first 10 people that come to class, you know, half prices. Okay. We're going to give them a discount or something, something like that. Or if you're a high end business and you don't offer discounts, just provide more value. But I want to show you how to literally set this up, start to finish.

So you know what it looks like on the backend here on Facebook. I just want to show you, you know, a few different examples. And so that's enough examples. for now I want to go into actually setting up, a fan page here really quickly. And I'll do that here.

So let me go back to my page and so create a page and I'm actually starting a new page for myself. But, yeah, so create a page, here we go. So now what you want to do. So if you're a local business, if you're a company or organization, brand, cause a community is pretty self explanatory. Okay.

we do actually have a course that goes much further into detail that has like, you know, 20 hours of material just on Facebook marketing.

I'm not going to go into, all of this stuff in great detail just so I can get over all the content with you. So here we have, it says add a description and a website to improve your page rank in search. So what you're doing here is setting it up so it shows up in Google. All right. So it's basically collaborating with Google for SEO purposes.

Okay. So when someone's searching, maybe your name, your company brand, however you want to be found, don't go switching names or you're going to really mess up, you know, the Google algorithms and also Facebook. So pick something that you want to be known for and stick to it. So this is what you're going to, you're going to type, whatever it is that you want to be known for right now. You know, I have a Bikram yoga studio.

And I love pretty girls now, let me be serious. but basically you're just going to put a descriptive paragraph in here, what your business or your brand is about, right? And then you're going to put your website. if you don't have a website right now, you can put maybe your YouTube URL. If you have a Twitter, an Instagram, you can put this in here, basically what you want, people to go to on your site.

Right. And now I'm not going to put anything in cause I don't really have anything that I want to put in right now, but address name. Once you have this, it can only be changed once. But like I said, pick this name carefully. So when you're, if you're having business cards or something right for your business, or you're handing out something.

And also if maybe if you have a blog, if you're putting a Facebook name and it's on there, if you change it, that's on someone else's site and they go to click it. Yeah. It's going to be an invalid URL. So you want to make sure that you keep the same URL. So for example, let's put Mr.

Think, Jabril as the URL. So now I save the info and now you want to put a profile picture. if you want to have a company logo, go for it. for me and especially on Facebook, it's so it's called Facebook. Right.

And so when you have a profile picture, it does stand out so much more. So I would highly suggest, having, Oh, let me, I don't even know what pictures are going to show up here. Yikes. nothing looks too bad. I don't really need, here's my, me and my buddy, on the race here in Panama.

Nothing too bad showed up. So thank God for that. And so what we're going to do is it's uploading right now. We're waiting for that. We're waiting for it to upload, add to favorites, right?

So you can add to favorites. I don't really do too much with this, but you can, if you want, so I'm going to go ahead and skip it. And now this is a really cool thing that you can do right here. So Facebook will go ahead and link you up with the audience that is best for you. Right.

But you have to tell them who that is, right? So for example, let's say example, I'm thinking about Tampa, but I'm talking about example. so location, right? Let's just actually say Tampa. Let's say I have a yoga studio in Tampa and I want to, you know, target everyone here.

So, and I will only want women from the ages of 30 through 55, right? No men, just women. And so I'm going to do certain types of yoga, right? Bikram. I think I'm spelling it right.

Yeah. There we go. So yoga, ah, and then, so they actually give you some examples of other types of yoga. I've got this type of yoga, hot yoga, Hatha yoga, can't even pronounce it yoga. But you get the point, but you don't want to do too many more than I'd say, have a maximum of like five or six, so you don't confuse Facebook's algorithms because if you put too many different things, they're like, who are you trying to target?

So I'd have a maximum, maximum of five things in here. So here we go. And now I'm going to click save, right? Now we have a page and I have my profile picture and now the tabs, right? Getting around everything that you need to manage your Facebook fan page.

So you have your like button. So when people are going to like your page, they're going to do this. So now you have that and then you have invite your friends. So the people that are going to support you most right away are going to be people who you already know. So you can invite them to like your page to kind of give you the first little boost.

the most important thing, so it's going to talk about how many likes that you have for the week, how many notifications, how many unread messages that you have, right?

And like I said, in the course that we have, we go into detail and like each little thing, but I want to make sure we get through, everything today. So notifications, page rolls, this is really important here. So if you want to have someone else have access to the page and be able to manage the page. So for example, maybe I want my brother. To, you know, post for me when I'm on vacation or manage some of the comments, do some interaction.

Or if you have employees that you want to, have interaction or answer messages, if you have an assistant, this is where you're going to come and add them and you can give them certain permissions. They can be an admin, a monitor, a moderator, an advertiser, or an analyst. And if you trust them, just make them an admin. Right. and that basically gives them a lot of, They can basically do whatever they want, but if you don't, you know, maybe you give them analysts or advertisers, but you can go on Facebook and look through the different permissions that they have.

You can have featured content, banned users, mobile, I'm not really going to go into much more.
