Jon Penberthy’s YouTube Mastery: Keyword Research, Video Structure, and Backlinks That Rank Fast
You finally sat down and recorded the video. You picked a decent title, uploaded it, shared it in a couple of groups, and then watched the view counter crawl up to eleven, twelve of which were probably you refreshing the page. That’s not a camera problem or a confidence problem. It’s a targeting problem, and it’s the exact gap Jon Penberthy spends this entire session closing.
As someone who has already tried just making videos and gotten almost nothing back for the hours it took, you already know the frustration of doing the work and hearing silence. Jon built his list of roughly 81,000 people on YouTube alone, and in this session he breaks his method into four pieces: finding the right keyword, structuring the video itself, getting it found through on-page setup, and pushing it further with backlinks. None of it is about being a better performer on camera. All of it is about being found by someone who is already looking for exactly what you have.
Why do most YouTube videos never bring in a single lead?
Jon’s starting point is blunt: people record a video they’re happy with, slap on a vague title, and upload it, without ever checking whether anyone is actually searching for what’s in it. He does the opposite. Using nothing more exotic than the Google Keyword Planner, he types in one broad phrase, then takes one of the results Google hands back and plugs that back in as a new search, drilling deeper each round until the phrases get long and specific. He calls this catching someone at the end of their search, the point where a person has stopped typing a generic make-money phrase and started typing exactly what they need.
Two filters decide whether a keyword is worth a video. First, length: four words or more, because a longer phrase is both easier to rank for and tells you far more about what the searcher actually wants. Second, intent: he separates problem-solving, desperate keywords, like someone typing a specific deadline into their search, from just-looking keywords that signal idle browsing. And there’s one instant disqualifier: any keyword with the word free in it gets skipped entirely, because that searcher has already told you they’re not reaching for a credit card. The rule underneath all of it is one keyword per video, never several crammed into one upload chasing a broader audience. Mixing keywords to squeeze more out of one video, Jon explains, only confuses the viewer and confuses Google about what the video is even for.
What actually gets someone to leave YouTube and land on your website?
Here’s where most people’s instincts work against them. The temptation is to over-deliver on YouTube itself: a long, generous, ten or fifteen minute video meant to build a relationship before ever mentioning your site. Jon’s data says the opposite happens. Longer videos bleed viewers before the call to action ever arrives, and none of that watch time pays your bills, because the sale doesn’t happen on YouTube.
If you don’t capture someone’s attention in the first seven to nine seconds, you’ve lost them.
So the video has to prove, immediately, that it knows exactly what the viewer typed in to find it, then move fast: a short story the viewer can relate to, a few seconds of proof if you have it, and a direct call to action naming your website by name rather than a generic click-the-link-below line, since a stolen re-upload of your video would just send traffic to someone else’s link instead. Jon keeps his own videos to two or three minutes total, structured tightly around that one keyword, and the payoff is dramatic. A typical YouTube video sends maybe 10 to 15 percent of viewers on to a website. In Jon’s words, “With maybe a two or three minute video, the way I do it, I get about 50% to 60% of people who click on my video to come to my site.” That’s not a marginal improvement. It’s most of your audience choosing to follow you off the platform instead of staying on it.
How do you get a brand-new video actually found?
Once the video exists, there’s a mechanical checklist that decides whether it ranks at all. The keyword goes first in the title, before any clever hook, because the crawlers reading your page scan left to right the same way a person does, and whatever comes first gets weighted heaviest. The same keyword, plus your website URL, goes on the very first line of the description, before the show-more fold hides the rest. The tags box holds exactly one target keyword plus two or three close variations, never a pile of unrelated terms hoping to rank for everything at once.
Then comes the part almost nobody bothers with: backlinks. Jon’s reasoning here is worth sitting with, because it’s the opposite of how a brand-new website should be treated. A new website that suddenly gets ten thousand backlinks overnight looks suspicious and gets penalized. A new YouTube video that suddenly goes semi-viral looks completely normal, because that happens to real videos every day. That’s exactly why he treats backlinks as something you build fast rather than slowly. As he explains, “it’s 25 times easier to rank a YouTube video in the search results of Google and obviously YouTube as well than it is to rank a website,” which is the whole reason this shortcut exists in the first place. He pays for the links rather than chasing them by hand, sourcing them from vetted sellers by rating, favoring what he calls social bookmarks as the safest category and treating an educational-site link as worth several ordinary ones, then pinging the new video out immediately so search engines find it faster instead of stumbling onto it days later.
- One keyword per video, chosen for length and for the desperation behind the search, never a broad topic chasing multiple audiences at once.
- A two to three minute video that proves it knows the viewer’s exact problem inside the first seven to nine seconds, then sends them to your site.
- Keyword-first titles and descriptions, plus fast, safe backlinks, because a new video is allowed to look viral in a way a new website never is.
None of this depends on being naturally charismatic on camera, and none of it requires a studio. It requires doing the research before you hit record and structuring what you say once you do. Jon walks through both full worked video scripts live in the recording, plus the exact click-by-click backlink process, so you can watch the entire method assembled in real time instead of piecing it together from notes.

So, we're short on time, so we're just going to jump straight on in, forget introductions and all that stuff. I've got two different options and ways we can go. I can either start with some YouTube stuff, or I can start with conversion, list building, show you some of my capture pages, that kind of stuff first, get that out of the way, and then move on to YouTube. So by show of hands, who would rather me go, I'm going to do both anyway, I'll just follow on tomorrow.
So who would rather me do the YouTube stuff first by show of hands? Lead conversion? Okay, so I'll do the YouTube stuff first, I think that was the… They can take action on it today anyway, so…
Exactly, exactly. So I'm going to be doing this in a very different way, to make it very, very interactive. I want us to actually get stuff done, instead of me just talking at you and teaching you stuff. Should I just be sure that there's three captions?
I'm just doing it now, yeah, I'm just getting ready. Okay, so there's four steps in this YouTube method in the way that I do it. There's the keyword research part. This is probably the most important.
Part of the procedure, oh, by the way, these slides might look a bit flashy, and they move around and they do these different stuff. My assistant put this together because he thought it'd be a good idea, and then I needed to edit it and add some more stuff to it, and it was too complex, I had no idea how to edit it. So I'm going to have to add a couple of things to it, so it looks good, but I can't do anything to it. So we're going to have to just roll with it, and then I'll just add some stuff as we go.
So the first part is keyword research, probably the most important part of the procedure. If you get this part wrong, then the rest of your kind of YouTube… YouTube campaign is going to fall, because one of the biggest mistakes I see people making is that they'll record their video, they're happy with it, and they'll just chuck it up on YouTube, and it'll just have a random title like, you know, me sitting by the pool talking about life, or, you know, that kind of stuff, and it's like just something that they've just typed in, but actually the only way people are going to find your videos on YouTube or on Google is if you are optimizing your videos for people that are already searching for that thing.
So if someone's typing in how to make money with affiliate marketing, we want to target people that are already searching for it. Does that make sense? We want to put ourselves in front of the people that are searching for it already. So keyword research is the most important thing, that's what we'll cover first.
Then we're going to go into video done the right way, okay? Now there isn't really like the perfect video structure, but I figured out a way that I do it that means I can get people off of YouTube and onto my website as quickly as possible and as many people as possible, okay? Again if you're doing your videos and you haven't done them right and you haven't structured them right. They aren't going to come off of YouTube, your YouTube video and onto your website, okay?
And we don't make money from people watching our YouTube videos, do we? You can monetize them and you can do little bits like that and you can get a little side income but that's not the bulk of our income. Our income is us wanting them to join our business. So if they don't come off our YouTube video and they don't come onto our website, we can't capture that lead and we can't follow up with them and we can't make a sale.
So I figured out a short and simple way to do those videos which means we can get them off of YouTube. And they're very, very quick videos. And there's a very, very specific way. There's a very specific structure.
I've actually decided to write out a video script for you guys because I know some of you, you know, I taught this at the last Mastermind and I kind of said, hey, so here's how we do video. Go ahead and do it. And you guys did the whole classic thing of going home and being like, well, I still feel overwhelmed. How do I shoot this video?
So I've done a video script for you guys so that if you are, you just have no idea what to say in this video but you know you want to do it, then I've just kind of had, you know, this is how you're going to introduce yourself. This is what you say next. This is what you say next. This is how you close.
This is your call to action. Very, very simple. I've posted that in the Mastermind group. You can do that anytime you like.
Number three is on-page SEO. So once we've picked our keyword, once we've recorded a video, then we need to create a YouTube channel and we need to upload that video onto our channel. And there's a few very specific things we have to do in this procedure. And then four is the off-page SEO which is basically just backlinks.
It's about building now more authority to that YouTube channel. We've uploaded our video onto our channel. We've created that channel. Now how do we build extra authority into the channel?
We've just created. Okay, so that's the four steps. So we're going to jump firstly into keyword research and I'm going to explain how I go about picking keywords, how I go about doing this, and then I'm going to have you guys go ahead and do it in about 10 or 15 minutes. So the reason we do keyword research first is because you can target someone's specific need at the exact moment that they need it, okay?
So if someone's typing in, like I said, how to make money with affiliate marketing, someone is literally at their control. Okay? They're on their computer at that very moment in time typing that in. So if you can provide the solution, if you can have a video saying, hey, you're looking to make money with affiliate marketing, I've figured out a way to do it, here's a solution, come to my site.
You're literally getting in front of that person as they're typing it in. And I realized how powerful this was maybe two or three years ago and I just decided to, I'm going to nail this thing, I'm going to do whatever it takes to learn this method because I saw the power in it because your Facebook ads are fantastic, other advertising platforms are great, but you're having to kind of chase the person. You're having to find out roughly what they're interested in and then you've got to kind of chase them and kind of think, right, I've got to get an ad in front of them that might appeal to them and you're trying to get in front of them.
Whereas this way, literally there is a flow of traffic that is coming already. There's people that are going to Google, they're going to YouTube and they are typing in key phrases. When you went over Rhonda's branding yesterday and you figured out your brand and you figured out who you're wanting to target, there are literally those ideal customers of yours are already going to Google. They're going to YouTube and they're typing in things that you could present them.
So instead of trying to draw yourself to them, you're actually just getting in front of that flow and just putting your video right where they're searching already. So do you get the power of this? Great. So how do we go about finding keywords to target?
This is how I do it. It's the simplest way to do it. There are so many different keyword tools out there. In fact, some people think I'm just playing around when I say that I just used the Google Keyword Planner.
But at the moment, this really is what I've used for the last couple of years. I've used it for the last couple of years to find keywords because it's so much easier to rank a YouTube video than it is to rank a website. So I don't have to do too much competition analysis and all this different stuff because it's easier to rank my… I think there's a statistic that it's 25 times easier to rank a YouTube video in the search results of Google and obviously YouTube as well than it is to rank a website, 25 times easier.
So it means I can do 25 times less competition analysis and it makes my job a lot easier. I am just about to go into testing a few different keyword tools, some paid tools. So if I figure out one that works, I'll post it in the group and let you guys know about it. But for now, I just use the Google Keyword Planner.
So you can find it by… Am I speaking too fast? No. Okay.
Sorry. I do have that tendency. I've been told many times… Just a little bit.
Just a little bit. Okay. I'm going to try to slow down. I'm trying to cram loads in and I just have a natural tendency to speak fast.
So I'll slow it down. You want to go to Google. Just type in the Google Keyword Planner. It's going to be the first result, okay?
And you're going to want to go ahead and click on that. Now… I've got a few slides here, but if you don't have a Google account already, you'll need to be logged in and you'll need to create an AdWords account, okay? We're not going to be doing any AdWords.
For those of you who don't know what AdWords is, it's Google's own ad platform where you can buy ads. You know when you have search results, you have the organic results, and you have sponsored ads down the right-hand side. Google AdWords is where you can pay to have your ads here. That's not what we want, but we need to create a Google AdWords account to be able to use their tools.
Okay? Does that make sense? If you don't have a credit card to create that AdWords account, I've never spent any money on it. I don't do anything with that.
You just have to put that in to create an account. So don't get scared off if they ask you for your credit card. They're only going to charge you if you place ads, and we're not going to be doing that, okay? So once you open up the Google Keyword Planner, by the way, if you're logged in to your Google account, when you click on that search result in Google, this will just pop up automatically, okay?
And if it doesn't, you just need to log in to your Google AdWords account, do the same, and it will pop up. And in the search box, you're going to type a broad key phrase, okay? So for this example, I've just put weight loss so that in the recording, this just is for any market. You just type in weight loss, just something very broad, so you might type in network marketing, you might type in prosperous retirement, you might type in whatever it is, just a broad key phrase.
This is not, doesn't need to be long, you don't need to think into this too much. This is just a very, very broad key phrase, okay? Once you type in weight loss, then it'll return a bunch of related keywords, okay? So Google's going to go out there and say, okay, here's some keywords that I'm going to type in that I think is related to the one that you just typed in, and it's going to bring you a ton of results, okay?
Now this is where a lot of people go wrong, okay, is that they stop here. They type in a broad key phrase, they go through these, they see if any of the ones that Google returned are, sorry, can you see, are valuable and are, you know, worth going after. And if there's none down there, then they just go, okay, right, I think of another broad key phrase. And they think of another one to plug in there, okay?
What I do is I will go down through. I'll go through these results that Google has given me, and I will take one of the ones that they presented me, and I will plug it back in to the broad key phrase section, okay? Which means I'm drilling down even further into Google's database. So for example, if we just go back to the last slide, you'll see there's one here which is weight loss programs.
So it's getting more specific. We typed in weight loss, weight loss programs. So now if I go and I take weight loss programs, and I'm just going to copy and paste it, and I'm going to plug it back into the top section there. It's now going to provide more results that are related to the one that you just plugged in.
But guess what? That was one of the ones that Google gave you. So now you'll notice that these keywords now are getting longer. I don't know if you noticed that.
If we just have a quick look, first time they were slightly shorter. You'll notice that these are a lot shorter because our one was shorter. Now if we take the one of the ones that Google gave us and we plug it back in, they're starting to get longer. And what we're looking for is a long tail keyword that's more specific.
There's two main benefits for doing this. The first is that the longer the keyword, the longer it's going to be. Okay? The longer the keyword, the more specific the key phrase is.
If we targeted the keyword weight loss, for example, or network marketing, we have no idea really what that person's specifically after. Yeah, we know their broad search term, but we don't really know specifically what they're after. The longer the keyword gets, the more specific we know about what that person's after, the more specific the solution we can provide, the more chance they join our business. Okay?
Does that make sense? And so the second benefit is a short key phrase is going to be really, really tough to rank for. If you're looking for weight loss in Google, good luck to you. Okay?
I'm not going to be able to do it. So the longer the keyword, the easier it is to then rank as well. So it just makes sense to go for long tail keywords. So then what I would do here is I'd have a look through here.
I would grab a couple of potentials and then I would plug that back into, well, I'd save it down. So let's say, for example, weight loss programs for men. We're getting more specific. I know that there's a man who's looking for a weight loss program, so I can actually specifically name the word program and that relates to him.
So let's say I just grabbed that. Take it aside. That's a potential. I might choose to grab that.
Plug that back in. Google's going to provide more and more results and the more you do that procedure, the more you can dig down deeper and deeper and deeper into the database. Some people don't do this. In fact, most people don't do this and there's so many hidden golden keywords that people just don't find because they don't do this.
And once you've gone through these and you've plugged them back in and you really have rinsed it, well, guess what? You've had all that time that you've just done that from one broad key phrase that you typed in. And when you run out, you can just plug in another one. Pick up another one.
So you typed in weight loss and now we'll type in lose weight and then we'll go again. See what I mean? Does that make sense? Yeah.
Okay, perfect. To save some of you getting confused, the only thing you really want to look at here is the average monthly searches. You might not be able to see this because it's obviously quite far away. This first column here where there's the numbers, it says average monthly searches.
That's how many people are searching for that keyword every single month, okay, on average. So let's say over the last 12 months, on average, how many people were searching for it. So for example, best weight loss program is being searched for 5,400 times, okay? And so you'll find keywords that thousands of people are actually typing that in every single month into Google.
So imagine if you could get in front of that traffic. It's very, very powerful. So this gives you a good indicator of whether it's worth going after. I will go into more criteria later on.
Competition, you don't really need to worry about that. That's for Google AdWords. So that's talking about the competition of the advertisers that are advertising, people that are actually paying for ads. So if you're looking for ads on that keyword, okay, so don't worry about that.
The only way that that would be a slight help is if it says that it's got high competition, that means that advertisers are choosing to pay on that keyword. If it says high competition, there's a lot of competition to pay for ads to be on that keyword. So it means it's a profitable ad, okay? If it's high competition, there's lots of ads being run, people spending money, which means that that must be a profitable keyword, okay?
So it is worth just taking note of this, but it's not a huge, huge indicator. So just to give you a little bit of a clue. Suggested bid, completely forget about that. This is for Google AdWords, you know, giving you a suggested bid if you were going to be doing sponsored ads, and then ad impressions, don't worry about that.
So literally, the only two you really want to take note of are these two here, and the main one being how many people are searching for it, okay? So finding keywords is the easy part, and it really is. It's just a procedure that I just showed you. You can find keywords, no problem at all.
The important thing is knowing what to look for and which ones to target, okay? So I'm going to go into my kind of criteria. When I'm looking at keywords, when I was going through the search results, Terry, and I was trying to figure out which ones to pick, which ones to plug back in, what's my criteria? What am I looking for in a keyword?
This is the important part, okay? Finding keywords, easy. There's tons. There's hundreds.
There's thousands, okay? So number one, no keywords containing the word free, okay? I actually noticed it in one of the results I just was looking at there. It said, free weight loss programs for men, or something like that.
We're never going to target a keyword that has the word free anywhere in there, okay? Because that means that person's not a buyer. We're looking to target people who are willing to get their credit card out and willing to spend money, okay? So we're trying to work out whether that person is or not.
So in this case, they're just telling us, hey, look, I'm not going to be spending any money. I'm looking for something for free, okay? So we're never going to target that. Number two, problem solving keywords and desperate keywords versus just looking keywords.
What we're looking to go after is someone who is typing in a problem solving or a desperate keyword. So if you have a specific need right now that they're desperate for it, you can start to get a feel for when you look at that keyword, what that person's typing in, that they're kind of desperate for that result. They've got a real problem that they are looking to solve, rather than just what I call a just looking keyword. They're just browsing around.
They're typing things in. And this kind of just takes some time. It just takes your own discretion to kind of look at that keyword and think, okay, what is this person really after? What's this person really doing?
But just keep this in mind. When you read that keyword that you're thinking of typing in, you're going to be looking for it. You're thinking of targeting. It wants to be a problem solving or a desperate style keyword, rather than a just looking keyword.
So let me give you an example. A problem solving or a desperate keyword would be how to lose my belly fat in 30 days. We're just still in the weight loss example for the sake of this. This person has a specific problem.
They have some weight in their belly that they're wanting to lose, and they have a specific date. They're saying in 30 days. Maybe they've got a wedding coming up. Maybe they're going on holiday in 30 days.
For whatever reason. This is a desperate keyword. They have their problem, and they have actually a time limit, and they're desperate for that solution. So that would be a problem solving desperate keyword.
A just looking keyword might be something like weight loss video. Someone might just be typing into Google or YouTube weight loss video. I probably wouldn't target this because it's not very targeted for me. This just tells me that someone is at that point just typing in just any old keyword to just browse around.
Like if I was typing in make money online video or something like that. My intention was probably just I've got a bit of spare time. Let's have a little browse around and see what we can find, but I'm not really in a buyer mode. Is this making sense?
Okay. Perfect. Perfect. So number three, and I mentioned this earlier, long tail keywords.
This needs to be four words or more. I never target a keyword that only has three words in the keyword. Okay. By the way, if I say keyword or key phrase, they are both the same thing.
Okay. You have different words in a keyword. So a keyword would be how to lose weight from my belly, but obviously that's got six or seven words in it. Okay.
So we always want to have four words or more. I would never target make money online. That's three words. I would never target weight loss video.
That's three words. Always four or more. Does that make sense? Okay.
And this is for the reasons I explained earlier on. It's easier to rank and it's more specific. Okay. Number four, catch people at the end of their search, i.e.
avoid just make money. Okay. Number four, how to make money online with affiliate marketing. Okay.
What do I mean by catch someone at the end of their search? Well, people go through a process when they are trying to find the solution to the problem that they had. Okay. We all do it.
You'll notice yourself doing it now that I've said it, is you'll go to Google and the first thing you do is you're trying to find your result quickly. So you type in a very broad key phrase. You just type in, let's use this example. So you're looking to make money.
You type in make money. Okay. So me as a marketer, I have no idea what you're really looking for. Your intention could be, I want to make money with Forex marketing, or I want to make money with my physical business, or I want to make money in real estate.
I don't actually know what you're after based on just that keyword you're typing in, but you were trying to be quick. So people at the start of their search, they just think that Google knows what they're after and then they eventually go through a procedure. So they type in make money. They go through the Google results.
They figure out, okay, I've not actually found the result I was looking for. So then they make a more specific search term. So they might type in make money online and then they'll look through the Google search again and see if they can find the solution they were after. And then eventually they keep typing things back into Google and getting more specific until they find that result that they were looking for.
I do it all the time. I jumped to Google real quick and then actually I think, no, I need to be more specific to find the result that I wanted. So that's catching someone at the end of their search. At the end of their search would be how to make money online with affiliate marketing.
This person could have started with this, but this is really what they're after. They wanted to make money on the internet with specifically affiliate marketing. Now this is the point where I know what they're after and I know how to target them and I can use this key phrase in the video so they know that they're in the right place and I have the solution they're after. Is this good?
Is this good stuff? Okay, so the last thing is put yourself in the mind of the viewer. When you're looking at those keywords or the searcher, when you're looking at those keywords and you're choosing which keywords to target, put yourself in the mind of the viewer. What are they thinking?
Imagine that you are the person typing this into Google, you're typing this into YouTube. What are you thinking? What's going through their head? What's the kind of solution that you're after?
And this just helps you understand what they're thinking. So what are they looking to achieve? Okay, this is another one. Based on that key phrase that you're looking into and you're digging into, what are they looking to achieve?
What's the outcome that they want so you can learn how to present it to them? Number three, and the biggest one, are they a buyer? Now obviously this is going to be harder to work out. It's going to be harder.
It's going to be harder. It's going to be harder to work out based on keywords. It's really easy to whittle them out because if it has the word free or torrent or something like that in there, then we're just not going to target them. Good kind of trigger keywords for me is if someone typed in, for example, I used that example weight loss programs.
You asked why I picked that and I hadn't even thought about it, but now I've just realized why I did. The word programs means that they're actually looking to buy a program. They're not just looking for weight loss video. They were specifically typing in weight loss programs.
Typically a program costs money. So I was just thinking about that, just thinking, right, why did I choose that keyword? Well actually subconsciously I was just thinking, well, programs for me triggers a buyer because normally you would pay for a program. That's normally a buyer type of keyword because that kind of makes sense.
This is the kind of stuff you'll just kind of figure out the more you do this, but for me programs is a good word. If they typed in course, if they typed in make money online course, again the word course to me, you know, you normally pay for a course, a seminar, that kind of stuff, something that triggers a buyer. Okay? So our objective, we want to record one video per keyword, ultra targeted.
So when I record my videos, I have one intention for that video. And I want you to get this. This is one of the biggest things. Please, please, please write it down.
A lot of you will record a video and you think, right, I want to maximize this video and I want to, I want to target lots of different keywords so I can maximize the potential of this video. You're killing your chances of having any results. The reason is if you broaden your criteria too much, firstly, you're confusing the viewer. We know their specific need based on their keyword.
We want to bring that through to the video and we still are ultra targeting that one specific need that they had. If you try and then broaden the video, you bring someone from a specific keyword, then you bring them into the video and you broaden it, you've lost them. You're also going to confuse Google because they don't know what the heck you're trying to rank for. So you pick one keyword and your only intention for that video is to target that one specific keyword.
If you have a keyword you want to target, don't try and mix the two into one video. Do a brand new video. It's a bit more work, but you will get far better results. And you can specifically target the one single need in the very moment someone is searching for it.
For example, how to teach your dog to sit. If someone types that in, they've probably just had their dog, they've just had a training session with their dog and they flipping can't get that thing to sit and so they've just come to Google and said, how do I teach my dog to sit? They've got it on their mind and so then if you target that straight away and you keep the congruency with that keyword and you say, hey, are you getting stressed out because your dog won't sit? Let me teach you how to get your dog to sit.
You've carried on the congruency, you're targeting that one specific keyword. And I'm using lots of different markets and examples for the sake of the recording, but obviously everyone in this room is in network marketing. Step two, video done the right way. No, actually no, no, we won't move on to this just yet.
I want you guys to actually find a keyword to target. I'm going to give you about 10 or 15 minutes and I want you to go to the Google keyword tool. If you haven't got a Google AdWords account, I'd love for you to just go ahead and create one so you've got access to the Google keyword tool. And all I want you to do, there's one specific intention I want you to have is just find one keyword.
Just one keyword, just spend some time, drill down, type in a broad key phrase, drill down through the Google search results and just find one keyword because then I'm going to get you to record a video based upon that keyword. Don't worry about drilling down on it too hard. Don't worry about going too specific. This is just for the sake of this exercise.
It doesn't cost any money. We're just going to get you guys going. So I'm going to give you 10 or 15 minutes, find one keyword and then I'm going to kind of be floating around as well and we start in about 10 minutes. Everyone ready?
Yep. Yep. Need some quiet and then we'll begin. Oh, that was quick.
Okay. So let's just jump straight back in because time is of the essence. So step two, oh, are we ready with the recording by the way? Okay, cool.
Yeah, I've got it. Step two is video. Okay. So I want you guys to do this the right way.
And by the right way is kind of the way that I've kind of figured out how to do this. I do it in a very specific way. I'm just going to show you the few main things that I use in order to structure my video effectively for this method. Okay.
So how to structure your video. With this method where I'm picking a very specific keyword, I'm finding out what they're after, I'm finding out what they're interested in, I'm finding out what their problem is, I'm finding out what they're desperate for, then my video has to be congruent with that. So I name the keyword. I keep the focus of the entire video.
I don't wander. I don't try to waffle on. I keep the main intention of the video very quick, very short, to the point. And the point is the keyword they were looking for.
I have the solution. Come to my website. That kind of structure. So here's the main things to keep in mind when recording your videos.
And I want you guys to take notes on this because I'm going to have you record your video based on the keyword that you just found over lunch or later on today. So make it clear in the first nine seconds that they're in the right place. This is a real number. I believe it's actually gone down now.
I think it might even be about seven seconds. This is the attention span of a human watching a video. If you don't capture someone's attention in the first seven to nine seconds, you've lost them. For example, if someone lands on your video, they start watching and you don't grab them straight away and you don't give them a reason to stay.
That's the best way to put it. Give them a reason to stay on your video. If you don't, they're gone. The internet's moving way too fast.
They won't stick around. So make it very, very clear in the first nine seconds. A lot of you have a tendency, and myself included, when I was starting to make videos is that I'll kind of turn the camera on, I'll waste two or three seconds sitting down onto the camera, sitting down on my chair, and then I'll have to remind myself what I was going to say. And there's a few seconds where you're thinking, and all that time is actually, it's so important.
The first seven seconds is incredibly important. Maximise it. Don't waste it. Understand from the keyword exactly what that person wants, then make it very clear that you have the solution on your website.
This has to be your focus of the video. Make it very clear that you know what they want. I'm going to say it again. Make it very clear that you know what they want, so that when they land on the video, this person in this YouTube video somehow magically seems to know exactly what I was after.
Remember when I was saying you're going to Google, you're typing in what it is you're after, and it's often very hard to find an exact answer for what you're after, isn't it? You have to do a lot of searching around. You have to click down. You have to go to page 10, just because you can't find the solution.
If you typed in an exact answer, you're not going to find the answer. You're not going to find the answer. You're not going to find the answer. You're not going to find the answer.
If you typed in exactly what you're after, and someone there had a video or an article that was exactly what you were interested in or what your problem was, you're going to listen to them. You're going to stay on the video, because you understand that they know what it is. Then we're going to get to the call to action, where you're going to let them know that you have the solution to their problem on your website, because that's obviously the main intention is to get them off YouTube onto your site. Get people off YouTube and onto your website ASAP.
I find that about two minutes works well, maybe about two to three minute videos. I used to do maybe five, 10, 15 minute videos on YouTube, and I just realized that this was the biggest waste of time, because I'm not making any money from that video that's on YouTube. That's not making any money. The place that I make money and the place I build my list is over on my website.
The longer I keep someone on YouTube, that's absolutely pointless. It really is. Some of you, and I used to think the same, is, well, I want to provide a lot of value. The first content, the first point of contact between me and that viewer, I want it to be great.
I want to give them so much. I want to do a 10, 20 minute video. I want them to really, really like me. I promise you, you will lose more people than you will gain as a loyal fan doing it that way.
The way to do it is get them off YouTube as quickly as you can onto your website, and on your website, that's where your bridge videos are. That's where your sales funnel with Rhonda is. That's where your stuff is. That's where you build the relationship.
You don't build the relationship on YouTube. You build it off YouTube. That's just what I found. Does that make sense?
Yes. Okay. Again, this is not the problem. This is not the perfect way to do it.
This is just the way I do it. Okay? I just want to make that clear. I'm just teaching you how I do it, and I get them off very, very quickly because my videos I found were just worth mentioning.
With maybe a two or three minute video, the way I do it, I get about 50% to 60% of people who click on my video to come to my site. Okay? That's huge for those of you who don't know. Normally, it's about maybe 10% or 15% will click on your YouTube video and actually come to your site.
The way I do this, the way I structure these videos, I get so many people, often half of the people who are watching my video onto my website. Okay? And that's what we want. And they still love me because the value is in me knowing what they're after.
Okay? I just thought I'd touch on this because we often are tempted to give too much value in that YouTube video because we want to provide value before they come to our site. The value, and it's more valuable than you just trying to find words to give value, the main value is that you know their price. Okay?
You've got to think about the actual process of this. If you go to Google and you type in exactly what you're after, and you landed on a video and someone recited your keyword back to you and said, hey, chances are you've landed on this video because you're looking for X, Y, and Z, hey, I have the solution, are you going to go anywhere? No, because they've just told you they have the exact solution you're after. See what I mean?
So that is the value. The value is in you knowing what they're after. Okay? YouTube has so many distractions.
They're going to go and search something else. They're going to comment down below. They're going to click on these related videos. This is the biggest, obviously, distraction.
Believe it or not, comments are great, but if they scroll down to go to the comments and they start reading comments and they start looking at that, it's taken away from the action you wanted. Come to my site. Okay? So you want to get them off as quickly as possible.
The longer your videos are, the more people will leave before the end. Okay? So whatever you target, whatever niche, try and keep the videos about one to three minutes for this method. The longer your video, if it gets to 10 minutes, 15 minutes, naturally, it doesn't matter if you have the best video in the world.
That doesn't matter. You could have Dan doing the best production possible and you've got this awesome video. Naturally, you will just lose people. The longer the video, you naturally will just lose people.
So it doesn't make sense to do a 15-minute video and then a call to action at the end because less people are going to get to that call to action and actually come to your site. Okay? Does that make sense? Okay.
And this is just maybe for the sake of the recording because everyone in this room is going to record their own videos. But if you don't want to record the videos yourself, you can use Fiverr. Okay? They have people who record videos for you.
So you could just send them a script, send them your keyword, and they could go ahead and record a video for you and you can find that on Fiverr. And the last thing is be scripted, okay? I used to try and just turn on the camera and just think about what I was going to say and I promise you, you will um and ah way too much. You'll fumble on your words.
You'll repeat the same thing again. That was a big thing I did. I would just, I was trying to fill a space so I would repeat the same word again. Okay?
And I did somewhat. I'm not talking about have the script right in front of you stuck to your camera and you're reading it word for word and your eyes are going like this. That's not what you want. Okay?
Don't be scripted that much. But you do have to have structure in your videos. If you're going to try and crank out these videos in two minutes, okay, there's a lot to cram into that two minutes. You need to introduce yourself.
You need to explain that you know the solution, the problem that they've got. You have the solution. You have the solution on your website. Come on over.
You've got to do the call to action. That's all in the script that I've sent you guys. But if you want to cram that in in two minutes, you've got to keep some kind of structure. And a way that you can do this to start is you can have the first 10 or 15 seconds worth of content in your head ready.
Okay, I'm going to introduce myself in this way. Go. Start the camera. Say it.
Pause. Think about what you're going to say next. Start the camera. Do the next bit.
And then just edit it together. Cut them together in iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, something like that. That's how I started. I would cut the clips and I'd put them together to make sure, because I knew the importance of making sure I get done very, very quickly.
In that two minutes. Okay, so you want to be scripted to some degree so that that's my kind of structure for a video. It's relatively broad, but those are the things that you want to include in your video. Okay.
And this is why I've written down this script for you by show of hands who's found that yet in the group. Okay, not not so many of you. So go into the Orlando Mastermind 2014 group and find the I've just uploaded there's a file and it's called the video script. Okay, and that's basically just going to show you how to introduce yourself.
Maybe I'll just we've got a couple minutes before lunch. So maybe I'll just open up this script. I'll quickly talk you through it. That might be really helpful for you guys.
Either start the video by saying, Hey, everyone, guys, friends, whatever you want to say. It's John Pemberthy here from mywebsite.com. There's a reason why I say my website straight away. Okay, very specific.
I want people to know where I'm from immediately in case they leave without watching too much. They still remember my website. I still got my website name in there. So even if they left after 30 minutes.
After 30 seconds, they might think, Okay, well, I'll still go check this dude out. Do you see what I mean? So I want to get my this like a I call it a soft call to action straight away. And it is really soft.
It doesn't seem salesy. It doesn't seem pushy to say, Hey, guys, John Pemberthy here from mywebsite.com. And then you move on. And what I want to do in this video is show you how to and then say the keyword thereafter.
Okay, so if the keyword was how to teach your dog to sit, you say, Hey, what I want to do in this video is show you how to teach your dog to sit. They go flipping heck. He knew exactly what I was after. He knows exactly what I was typing in.
Does that make sense? So you start that way. And I've put here in brackets, if it would make sense in that sentence, because what you'll find is you might come across a keyword that you're going to target, that it just wouldn't make sense in that sentence. Okay, can't think of an example off the top of my head, but it just might not make sense.
So in that case, here's another way you can do it. If it doesn't make sense, you're going to say something like, Hey, friends, it's John Pemberthy here from mywebsite.com. And chances are you've landed on this video because you were searching for boom, okay, so to me, and then you can recite the keyword back to them. I always recite the keyword back to them somewhat so that they go flip, okay, he actually knows what I'm after.
Okay, it's really, really important. So the beginning, or how you open this in the first seven to nine seconds is so important. And that's why I've written this script for you. So that you can't you can't get this wrong, okay.
And then proceed to tell your very short story. Talk about how you used to have the same problem that they that they have, or you were recently searching for the same thing as them. The goal is for them to feel like they can relate to you. Keep this bit around 30 seconds.
Okay. I'm actually going to just do a very, very brief story related to the keyword that they were typing in. So if they typed in how to make money online with affiliate marketing, you would talk about how you were trying to make money online with affiliate marketing for two years, you kept failing, blah, blah, blah. And then I finally found some success, you know, you very, very brief 30 seconds.
But your story is now based around the keyword they were searching for. So they can feel like they can relate to you. They're typing in this keyword, the person on the video is saying, I actually was searching for the exact same thing as you were just a year ago. And now I've now I'm here because I found this solution that I'm going to present to you.
Does that make sense? Okay. Now talk about how you Oh, yeah, so this is just kind of carrying on. So now talk about how you finally found the solution to that problem, or you finally found a website or product that was able to help you or if you're promoting selling your own products and talk about how you figured out the solution, and decided to document everything in your own system product, okay, word it however you wish.
But just again, keep this bit around 30 seconds, so that 30 seconds of your story, how you can relate to that person. If you're searching, the next 30 seconds is, hey, but now I'm here because I found this solution. And now I don't have the problem that you're searching for anymore. Make sense, that next bit.
Okay. The important part here is that they can relate to you, okay, that they know that you've had the same problem, or suffered from the same thing as them, and know that you have the solution. Okay. And the next step is to show some proof.
Now, this isn't, it isn't needed. It doesn't have to have any proof in here, if you don't have any proof, that's fine. You can talk about your mentor. And you can talk about the success of others.
You can leverage that. You don't have to have proof, it's just a, it's just an added thing that is good to put in there. So, if you have a way of showing proof, then do it at this point. Show a before and after photo, if you're in the health and fitness, or maybe the acne niche.
Show an image of your happy and under-controlled dog, if you're in the dog training niche, or maybe a screenshot of an income if you're in the biz op, make money online niche, or network marketing niche. This is super quick, 10 to 20 seconds max, reason being, we want them to come over to our website. We want them to hear our full story, or see full results. This proof part is simply just a very brief teaser, okay, make sense?
We don't want to get carried away with this. If we have a way of showing proof, you can get creative with this. If you have some way of showing proof, maybe your keyword you're targeting is how to get 60% opt-in rates. If that was your keyword, then you might just show a screenshot of your back office showing 60% opt-in, that kind of thing.
Get creative with it, but we don't want to spend too long on this. We want to get them onto our website. That's when they find out. That's really what we're about.
Okay? So add that if you can, get creative with it, but that's probably the one part that's not hugely necessary. Then your call to action. If you'd like to check out the system, product, or service that I found, you can find it at yourwebsite.com.
Very, very simple, and we're just going to proceed to tell them what to expect when they come to your website. So what you'll find over there is a video or article, whatever it is that you've got, that I've put together, or my partner Chris has put together, that I personally found that teaches you exactly how to. And say the keyword again. You want to remind them again that when they click on your website, they're coming to the right place.
Okay? So what you'll find over there is a video of me with my mentor, Rhonda, and we're going to explain to you the system that we found that is changing people, you know, and then say the keyword. Okay? Does that make sense?
Okay. Confirm again that this is the very product, system, and service that provided you the solution that you were looking for when you were searching for the same keyword. Okay? Because we've made that relationship with them now, they know that you had the same solution that they're searching for right now.
And at this very moment, make it clear that this product that you're recommending is the same product that gave you the solution that they're looking for right now. Make sense? Is that too complicated? No?
That's cool. And then close by saying something like, if you'd like to take a look, go ahead and visit, say your website. The link should also be in the description box, and you'll be presented all the information over there. Hope you find it helpful.
Something like that. But the reason why I say my web address is I never say click the link below. Okay? On your bridge videos, that's okay to say.
Because that's your page. Okay? If it's on YouTube and you say click the link below, someone could just steal your video, upload it to their own channel, and guess what you're doing? You're promoting their link by saying click the link below.
Does that make sense? So that's bad. Okay? I learned this the hard way.
I had a lot of videos stolen. I got into a lot of that stuff. So just don't go into that. Always say your website.
Where do you want them to go? Your website. So say it. Say that it's also going to be across the screen in your watermark, and it should be in the video description below as well.
Now if they go down to the description box. And it's not your website, they'll go, oh, something's not right. Well, he's told me where to go. So they'll come back to your website.
Does that make sense? We want to make sure they come to the right place. The call to action is actually the longest part, at maybe 30 seconds to one minute. Okay?
The most important thing in closing, most important thing is getting them to visit your website. So we need to focus on that. This script gives you a rough idea of how to structure your two powerhouse videos. But feel free to play around with it.
Add your own twist and test different ways of presenting. But this is the kind of rough structure. Okay? This is the way I do it.
So I wanted to put that together because I just figured that would be so helpful for some of you who would find my broad kind of training there a bit unstructured. So I hope that's helpful. That's in the Facebook group. Yeah, one question, and then we're going to break for lunch.
Rhonda's going to come and let us know what's happening with that. If you have time during lunch, shoot your video. Get active with this. If not, maybe do it this evening.
And I'm going to catch up again later on today or tomorrow. On Page SEO. This is where we're going to upload our YouTube video. And there's a few.
This is where the SEO really kicks in. Okay? Our channel's cool. Our channel is more to just have a channel set up with all the information on there just to show Google we're a real person.
And there's a couple places where we could sneak in our keyword. Really this is where we're telling Google what our video is about and where we want it ranked. Okay? And what keyword we want it ranked for.
So how do we do on-page SEO? There's a few things. There's five in fact. You want the keyword in your title.
Okay? Of your video. I'm going to read through this by the way. Keyword in your description.
You want the keyword in your tags with about two or three, maybe four variations. I'm going to explain what those variations are. I'm going to explain likes, comments, and subscribers. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Okay? And then five, I'm going to explain what watch time is. By show of hands, who hasn't heard what watch time is? Who doesn't know what that means?
It's fine because it's brand new. So no one would, you know. So okay. Watch time is new.
So I'm going to explain what that is. Number one. Keyword in the title. Okay?
This is what the page will look like when you're uploading a brand new YouTube video. Okay? What you want is you want to have your keyword at the very beginning of that title. You have space up there where I'm highlighted in red to name your YouTube video.
This is where some people just name it, hey, it's John here sitting in my garden or whatever talking about law of attraction by my pool. Like just putting a title doesn't really make any sense. No one's going to find that video. This is where people are going to see the name of the video.
It's one of the most prominent things. It's one of the most prominent bits of text that surrounds your video. So make use of this. So the first part, we're going to be naming it the keyword.
So where it says keyword here, I'm going to put how to teach your dog to sit. Okay? The reason why I put it first is because the Google spiders is basically, they're not real people. They're just, it's just technology that Google has.
When a new page comes on the internet, when a new video comes on the internet, when a new article comes out, they have these spiders that they basically crawl your site and find out everything about your new page and see, you know, where they want to rank you, whether they want to rank you or not, where they can, if they can find any keywords, have you filled in your profile? They're going to see everything. Okay. And the Google spiders, they, they look from left to right the same way a human would.
Okay. We read from left to right. So they're going to try and imitate that. So they do the same thing.
So we want to have our keyword as the first part of the title because we want the Google spiders to find that keyword first. Does that make sense? So keyword first. I can't read.
I teach people this and I tell them keyword first and they still come back and the keyword is in the middle or last. I'm like, dude, put it first. So please get this, put the keyword as the first part. Okay.
As soon as you start typing that title in keyword first. Okay. That. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. Guess what? The title is going to be.
How's it going to start? Nope. It's going to be the whole keyword. Even if it doesn't make sense, it doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense because how are people finding your video anyway?
Because they're typing in that exact keyword. So why would you want someone typing in how to reduce debt and then come into a video that's titled reduce debt? We want to make it that even if the title they typed in didn't make any sense, even if it said like how to, I don't know what I can't even think of an example. Huh?
How do you eat ice cream? Well, no, that's still kind of makes sense. I think it was like saying stupid, like a, like a, like a baby's written it like something that just literally doesn't make any sense. If I was targeting that keyword.
Okay. My title then will not make any sense because I'm making it exactly what that keyword was because I chose that keyword based on what people are actually searching for already. Does that make sense? Yeah.
Cool. So keyword first. Then if you have space, I've just, uh, I've put their attractive sentence. So this is where you can use a bit of your, you know, copywriting skills that you've learned from Jabril, um, to make an attractive sentence, something that's worth clicking on.
So we have the keyword first because that's what they typed in. We want to target that. Then if we have some more space, you might put how to teach your dog to sit. My attractive sentence might be, um, the seven, the seven secret tips or, um, you know, the, the two day method, something that is like, well, okay, that's, that's my attractive sentence.
That's going to make someone want to click. They're already going to, they're already going to want to click because your keyword, your title is the name of what they were searching for anyway. But if we put an attractive sentence, it just, um, gives them more reason and incentive to, to go ahead and click on that video. Okay.
Am I talking too fast? Does that make sense? Perfect. Okay.
So that, that's the, that's the title section. The next part is the, you want the keyword in your description. So where I've highlighted now, this is your description of your YouTube video. This is where you can describe what it's about.
This is where you can add a bunch of texts. This is where you can add links. Okay. And again, I want to make sure you get this is that you want your keyword first.
Your keyword has to be the first part of the description. Okay. So if the keyword was how to teach your dog to sit. You want that on the very first line.
Okay. And also on the very first line, if it will fit is you want the URL to your webpage. Okay. The reason we do this is not so that it looks good to, um, to viewers because it might look a bit weird having the keyword there again in the description.
But the reason we're doing that is because I want Google and YouTube to see that. I want you Google and YouTube to see that the first part of my description is the keyword that I'm targeting because I want their, their spiders to crawl that I want their spiders to see that. Um, and then I want to have the URL next because if you notice on a YouTube video, when you go to it, it shows about three or four lines and then it has a button that says show more and then it opens up the full description. Some people make the mistake of putting your link too far down in the description.
Okay. That doesn't make any sense because you want people to be able to come to your website as soon as possible. So they have to click show more to then scroll through text to find your link. You're making it hard work for someone to come to your site.
We want to make it super easy. So we have to have that URL on the first line. So that's how I do my first line. I would have my keyword and then I would have the URL and it has to be on the first line.
Okay. Does that all make sense? Perfect. Okay.
So after, and by the way, they can be, they can be either way. Okay. I was playing around with this. It doesn't really matter which way round it is.
You can have the URL first and make it easy for the viewer and then have the keyword, but just make sure those two are on the first line. Keyword URL. Okay. No, no.
They're on your website now. So this is, so this is where we're describing our YouTube video. So someone is now, so you're picturing someone is watching your YouTube video right now. They've seen the title, they've clicked on it.
They're watching the video. Now the description is where the link to your website is going to be. This is where you want them to come to your catch page and come into your funnel. Yeah.
All make sense. Then there's going to be a few lines. I want to stand up for this. There's going to be a few, there's going to be a few lines here for your description.
Okay. After that, that's how you use your first line. Okay. So you've got a whole ton of space for some stuff.
Now you want to have a good, a good lengthy description. Okay. Don't just have two sentences like I've done in this example. Have a bunch of texts there.
What I found works well is you can actually transcribe your video. So whatever you were talking about in your video and they're going to be about two to three minutes, just transcribe that. Okay. Got a fiver.
Someone will do it for you. Do it yourself. Doesn't really matter. And just paste that in there as the content.
Paste that in there as a description because we want to have a content rich description. Okay. That is all about the keyword that we're targeting. Okay.
So we want to have the keyword sprinkled in this description somewhere. Excuse me, somewhere. So if the keyword was how to teach your dog to sit in this description, that's probably going to be that long. We're going to want the keyword a few times throughout.
Okay. Does that make sense? And so if you just transcribe the video, you're going to mention that keyword a few times in your video anyway, aren't you? So you may as well just transcribe it.
Makes your life easier. You haven't got to think up some more texts and you've got your keyword in there. Now there's a few other little ninja things that I've only just figured out recently. And I do this with my videos.
Now is there's a few links that I'll put at the very bottom of this description. One is I link back to my YouTube channel. Okay. So whatever my YouTube channel URL was, you know, we just picked a YouTube channel URL, the one you can't go back, the one I messed up.
Okay. You can't, you need to grab that URL and you want to paste that at the bottom of your description. Okay. You're also going to paste, I'm going to explain why we do this in just a second.
You're also going to paste the URL for the new video. So you have to, you'll have to come back to this and edit it later. But once your video is uploaded, okay, once it is uploaded and it's live on the internet, you're going to go to that YouTube page where your video would be playing. And you know, you have a, you know, if you want to share that, you want to post that on Facebook, you grab the URL from the address bar, right?
You want to grab that. You want to go back in and edit that video and you want to paste that down here as well. Okay. Again, I'm going to explain why we do this in just a second.
There's one more that I do, and I just figured this out recently is that you want to go to some video. Okay. You want to have authority in your market. So let's say we are in the network marketing space.
So let's say you go to Google, you find a channel that has, you know, you know, hundreds of thousands of subscribers or, you know, hundreds of thousands of views and likes and comments. And it's got a ton of authority. Then what you can do is you can grab one of their video URLs or one of their channel URLs and just paste it in there as well. Okay.
Basically what, basically what YouTube want to see now is, and this affects us in a, in a negative way. There's a lot of different ways around it is they want to see your viewers staying on. Oh, is that someone's phone? Is that my phone?
Oh, they want to see, um, they want to see your viewers and your visitors staying on YouTube. They don't want them leaving and clicking on your website. That's not what YouTube wants. Okay.
They can't really stop it, but that's not what they want. So they want to see you encouraging people to stay within their network. So if you have links, so if you have links down here. Okay.
One outgoing link, it's called an outbound link. One link that's going out, okay, away from YouTube to your website, but you have three down here that are actually inbound links, meaning that they're staying within the YouTube network. The spiders are going to see that. They're going to see, oh, the majority of the links in this description is staying within our network.
So we actually liked this video cause they're keeping people here. Is that cool or what? Okay. So the reason why I put, so I just grabbed the ones that I can, so I grabbed my YouTube video.
I grabbed the YouTube channel. And then I grabbed the authority link. Because that's just someone else in my space who's an authority. No one's really going to see that.
I'm not going to put an enticing text with it to say, oh, check this dude out as well. I'm just going to put it there because I think that some of that authority will carry through onto your video as well. But the fact that you're linking to them, okay, it's like a backlink. You're basically giving them a backlink.
And so the fact that Google is seeing that connection, they're like, oh, these, these two are kind of linked in some way and they're an authority. Okay. So it just kind of passes over a little bit of authority juice. Okay.
So that's how you're going to want to do your description. Okay. Is that cool? Okay.
Well, you just, you just go to Google and type in whatever you want. So if you're in network marketing, you just type in network marketing. Find any old video that just has tons of likes, tons of comments, tons of engagement. People are loving that video.
Loads of views. Just use it. It really, that really doesn't matter. That's my YouTube video because we wanted to keep them on the, on the YouTube domain name.
Okay. Um, oh, I've actually got that. That's coming up. Yeah.
Yeah. Got that. Because, um, yeah. When, when you go to, when you go on a YouTube page, there's going to be a URL in the address bar.
There's also going to be a little button below the video that says share, and it's going to give you a URL to share. Okay. Don't use that one down there. I never use that one.
Always use the one up in the address bar. Okay. So that's the description. How we doing for time?
10 past. So, um, yeah. You also want to add your YouTube channel, video and related video URL. Okay.
Keywords and the tags. Okay. You've got space for tags here. Basically a tag is the, the point where.
Yeah. YouTube is actually saying, right, this is where we want you to tell us what your keywords about. Okay. We've done it already.
Okay. We're showing Google and YouTube what our video is about, but this is where they specifically say, Hey, we're going to give you a spot to now give us keywords. Tell us what this video is about. They're going to give you a, you can have as many as you want in here.
This is something that other people get wrong as well, is that they will just bombard this tag box with so many keywords and they flood it with keywords because they think, right, I've got this one video, chosen my keyword, all is good. And then they'll just go, right. We've got this one video. Well, I may as well see how many keywords I can try and rank for here.
I'll put tons of keywords in these tags. And if you really think about it, what are you doing? You're confusing the heck out of Google. They've given you a spot to say, Hey, tell us what your video is about and what have you done?
You've put a hundred keywords, totally some, some unrelated, some different, and they looked at that tag box and gone, well, I can't figure out what it was you wanted to rank for. Can't figure out what your video is actually about. Does that make sense? So we want to make it real simple for them.
So this is where I need to drill into you. It's one keyword per one video. And that has to be your focus. Okay.
When you're doing a video, you have one focus and that's to rank for your one keyword. If you have a hundred different keywords that you would have plugged in there, create a hundred different videos. Okay. I'm serious.
So, um, I tend to put my one keyword in the start. So where it says keyword here, I put my one keyword there. And when you press enter, it's going to put this little box around it that you can see on the screen there. Okay.
If it doesn't have that box around it, you've done it slightly wrong. You want, you want the whole keyword to be in its own little box. Then you can have keyword variation one, keyword variation two, and keyword variation three. This is just how I tend to structure it.
I'll have like a supporting keyword. So if my keyword was how to teach your dog to sit, I want to have three other keywords that are kind of related to, um, that keyword in some way to just pass on more authority to confirm that my channel is about that subject. Okay. So my main keyword, how to teach, teach your dog to sit.
My keyword variation one might be, um, how to get your dog. Okay. Teach your dog to sit. Keyword variation two might be, um, teach your dog to sit now, or do you see what I mean?
A variation. It doesn't really matter what these are. Um, if you want to spend some time over it, you could do some keyword research and find some variations that are very similar that you could also benefit from as well. So if they're in the tags as a chart, you might rank for them as well.
Who knows? But I don't want that to be your focus. Okay. Your focus is your one main keyword.
Okay. Huh? Yeah. You're not going to be that person that other people are.
No, I wouldn't. No, no. This is, this is specifically for my video now. Yeah.
Okay. Um, uh, likes, comments, subscribers. Okay. Whoops.
Let's go back. Um, these are really good to have as we all know. Now I want to cover the subject of buying likes, comments, and subscribers. Okay.
I've tried this. It can work, but it can also really harm you because the best way for this to happen is to just let it happen naturally. Okay. Organically.
So I, I don't really ever buy any likes, comments, and subscribers anymore because this is the probably the riskiest part. Buying backlinks can look very natural if done in the right way. And I'm going to show you that. But likes, comments, and subscribers is the one part of this method that can is just very risky.
Okay. The guys on Fiverr are going to use softwares. Uh, there's just not going to be done in a very natural looking way. You could get, you know, Google could just find out about it a year later.
And once you've done that. Once you think you're off the hook, then they shut you down because a year ago you bought some likes. See what I mean? I don't want to risk that.
Okay. So I don't really ever do that. Um, I'd rather let it happen organically and you can often rank when you pretty much can rank if this is done the right way, just with creating your channel and video in the right way and getting some backlinks. And this is just like an extra, but I'd rather let that happen organically.
Okay. Does that make sense? But it is a good thing to have. Um, so you can encourage likes, you can encourage comments.
Um, but I wouldn't really ever buy them. It's for me. It's like a last resort. If there's a keyword I really wanted to rank for and I, I couldn't get it to rank with my other stuff, then maybe I would go to Fiverr, find someone who's really, um, uh, highly rated and then maybe I would buy some likes and comments just to try it out.
Um, but it's just risky. Okay. I just wanted to just draw that in. Okay.
Um, number five is watch time. Um, watch time. This is something that I only just figured out, um, or learned about when I was with, um, Jabril in the, uh, YouTube. Headquarters in London is they were telling us about this thing called watch time.
Now watch time is, um, basically increasing engagement on your page. It kind of comes under the category of engagement. Okay. Basically what watch time is, is it's how long is someone watching your video?
So if your video is two minutes long, if they, if on average, your visitors are dropping off at the one minute mark, they're not watching the full two minutes of dropping off for one, then you have a watch time of 50%. Okay. So your watch time is how long someone's spending on your video. It's also, this is where it gets more complicated.
I don't want to confuse you, um, but I'm going to try. Watch time is also if someone from off of YouTube, so they're on someone else's site, they're on Google, they're not on YouTube yet. If they come onto YouTube cause they've clicked on your video, okay, then they click from your video and they click on a related video. Okay.
Then they click on another related video and they stay on YouTube for a while, just hanging out. Okay. That counts as your watch time. If that person comes onto YouTube, clicks on your video, then stays on YouTube and does a ton of other stuff and they stay on there for two hours, that's counting as your watch time.
They're saying, Oh, someone came into their video and wanted to stay with us. So they've got like a two hour watch time because they kind of stayed on our site and they like to see that we don't cause we don't want them to leave our video and stay on YouTube. So we don't really like that. So it's like a, like a weird situation.
Okay. Okay. So that's what YouTube wants to see is the one thing we don't want to see. Um, but I wanted to explain what that was.
Does that, does that kind of make sense? Cool. Great. So that's what YouTube want to see.
They're all about engagement right now. They want to see you engaging in your content. They want to see you engaging with your videos and subscribers. They want to see your viewers and subscribers commenting, liking, engaging, watching for a good period of time.
Okay. So that's the on page SEO off page SEO. Okay. What is off page SEO?
It's getting backlinks to your new YouTube video. Okay. And a backlink is a link to your YouTube video on someone else's website or page. Okay.
For example, if you see the one in the middle here, let's imagine this is your YouTube video. If you've got all these websites around here, if somewhere on their site, anywhere on their site, they have a link to your YouTube, um, video, they've given you a backlink. They're pointing back to your site. They've got viewers coming to their website.
And they're pointing to you. There's a link on their website. It might just say, Hey, check out this cool video I just found on YouTube. And there's a hyperlink.
If someone clicks on their website, comes to your site, they've, they've created your backlink. Does everyone understand what a backlink is? Can I just see by a show of hands just so I can get a gauge for the room? Oh, fantastic.
Okay. So with YouTube videos, you will not be penalized by sending too many backlinks and like a traditional website. Okay. With a brand new website.
If you send a ton of backlinks, you're going to get penalized. If you create a brand new domain name, a brand new website, and suddenly you send 10,000 backlinks, um. Um, from Fiverr or something like I'm going to show you, um, YouTube is going to penalize you because it does not look natural. It wouldn't be natural for a brand new site to come out on the internet and within a day have 10,000 people back linking to it.
Okay. It doesn't make any sense. It's not organic. It's not natural.
But with a YouTube video, every single day, there are new videos that get uploaded. And as soon as they're uploaded, they go viral. We've all seen them. They go viral within hours.
Sometimes there are hundreds and thousands of views. There are tens of thousands of comments and shares. And it's all over Facebook. Every time someone posts to a Facebook, by the way, it's a backlink.
So it's going all over Facebook. So YouTube is used to seeing videos in their network going viral. So if you upload a new YouTube video and you buy 10,000 backlinks, it doesn't look unnatural to Google. It doesn't look unnatural to YouTube.
Okay. That makes sense. Okay. So who else thinks that building backlinks sounds time consuming, boring, and something you don't want to have to bother with?
No. Exactly. Good. Me neither.
I pay someone else to do it for me for as little as $5, and I'm not affiliated with this site in any way. This is just what I use. I go to fiverr.com with two Rs. I'm pretty sure everyone in the room has heard about Fiverr.
Has anyone not heard about Fiverr? I didn't think so. I go here for everything, by the way. I spend so much money on Fiverr.
I think I spend more in here than I make. So you want to go to Fiverr and you want to search for bookmarking and links. Okay. So you'll be on the Fiverr website and you can click on a category that is online marketing.
So just write this down, the category is online marketing. And then in that category, there's subcategories and you're going to find bookmarking and links. Okay. Did everyone catch that?
Well, there's going to be, you see where my mouse is here? You can't really see it, but up in this toolbar, in fact, I'll just show you. By the way, every time you buy something on Fiverr, that's called a gig. Every time you spend five bucks, that's just called buying a gig.
Okay. So that's a perspective on how much I spend on here and how much I do with backlinks and stuff. I think I've done something like 2,500 gigs in total with all my stuff. Like I've spent a lot of money on here.
I buy a lot of gigs because this works. I just wanted to reiterate that. In fact, we could probably see it. Let's look.
Just so you can see it, because sometimes people just want to have a little look. So my orders, I've done 1,000 plus 890, so about 2,000. I bought about 2,000 gigs in total. Like, that's a lot of gigs just buying backlinks.
That's how much I use this, so I just wanted to show you that I do what I'm teaching. So at the top here, they've got a Halloween theme, as you can see now, but there'll be online marketing. If you hover over that or if you click on it, there's going to be a drop-down menu. You want to click on bookmarking and links.
Okay. When you click on that, there's going to be tons of different people here that will do backlinks for you. Okay. Now, there's a few things that you want to do straight away.
One is that you want to search here by high rating. Okay. You want to search by high rating, and then pretty much anyone down here is going to build you good backlinks. Okay.
If they're on Fiverr and they've got a high rating, basically people on Fiverr are brutal. Like if someone buys a gig on Fiverr and they buy some gigs, sorry, they buy some backlinks, and that person did just a terrible job, you know, YouTube didn't like the links for whatever reason. They weren't happy. Something didn't happen.
People on Fiverr are brutal. They will leave that negative feedback. They'll say, don't buy this. This gig's crap.
This didn't do any good. So if you search by high rating and you just always remember to click that button, you're always going to have the best sellers on Fiverr. So for example, let's just click on a random one here. Okay.
We can see that this person has 3,000 buyers. So 3,000 people in total have bought this gig to buy this person's backlinks. He's going to give you 160 EDU links. By the way, an EDU is a link.
Okay. So an EDU link is an educational site. So instead of being .com, it's going to be .edu. And so to get a backlink from an educational site is like 10 times more valuable than a .com backlink.
So I do buy EDUs as well. But you can see they've had 3,000 buyers and they've got almost a five-star rating. So people are very, very happy with this. You can scroll down.
You can see previous feedback and everyone's writing, you know, fast service, best gig on Fiverr. Great job. I'll order again. I'm very pleased.
So everyone. So you can see. You can see what I've done based on this. And I remember when I was on a webinar, I think this was like two months ago.
I was on a webinar with Ryan Dice. Okay. I follow him. I study everything he does.
He's an incredible marketer, him and his team. And I was on this webinar with him and he said from his own mouth that people who tell you to use all these complicated softwares to do backlinking and do all this different stuff and go here for these links. He said, it's all crap. He said, you can get any backlinks you want done on Fiverr.
Okay. He uses Fiverr as well. He said, if you find the right sellers on Fiverr and you've got a lot of good backlinkers, you can get any backlinks you want done on Fiverr. You search by high rating and you use people that have had a good experience.
You can get any backlinks you want on here done. Okay. There's tools like SCNuke. I don't know if any of you have heard of SCNuke.
Yeah. So it's like a, you can basically software. You can build your own backlinks. You use the software and you do all the editing, you do all this different stuff.
And it's really complicated. I tried it. It's too time consuming. It's too tough.
And you have to really know the software. Well, there's people on Fiverr who will do SCNuke backlinks for you and you just pay them five bucks and they'll do you SCNuke backlinks. So why would I not? Just pay someone five bucks and have them do it.
Then spend 10 hours trying to figure out a software that I'm, the end conclusion is I can't really do it. You see what I mean? So always search by high rating. Always check out the gig before you buy it and make sure that they've had good feedback.
So this guy is very, very similar in his numbers. I do know that this guy here is very, very popular on Fiverr. Let's just go to his other gigs. We go on Young Caesar.
I've used this guy a few times. It got a 99% positive rating. This gig here has had over 7,000 orders with five stars. This gig's had 1,000 orders.
This gig's had two. So this guy's got so many backlinking gigs. He's one of the backlinking authorities on Fiverr. He's one of my little secret weapons as well.
I use him all the time. So you can use him. His name is Young Caesar. And you can just keep scrolling down here now and just always check for high rating.
Always check for the ratings. Check that people are having a good experience. The safest backlinks you can buy and the ones that I want you to be buying first, one gig packet first, is called social bookmarks. So for this, you can scroll down here and see if you can find them.
In fact, there's one here. I will do social bookmarking manually to 200 sites. That's valuable. If he's going to do it manually, he means he's not using a software.
He's going to have his team members manually creating these backlinks for you. But you can just type in the search bar at the top. Social bookmarks. And then you can again search by, this time it's popular, and then you can go and see who's selling social bookmarks.
Social bookmarks are the safest backlinks. To keep things simple and to just roughly explain what this means, they are the backlinks that Google just doesn't even bat an eyelid at. There's some backlinks that you can build and maybe Google are going, okay, are these really real links or whatever? And they're getting a bit suspicious.
I've never really had any problems with backlinks from Fiverr ever. But the safest backlinks are social bookmarks. They're ones that Google are just like, sweet, he's got a ton of social bookmarks. That's an authority.
Okay? So social bookmarks are good to buy. If you wanted them quicker, what you can do is you can take this toggle bar here, it says delivery time, and you can literally grab this toggle bar and you can drag it down and you can see that you can't really see it, but it says up to seven days, up to six days, five days. You can take that right down to up to one day.
And now you can see everyone that will do backlinks for you in one day. And it is super valuable. As soon as your video is uploaded onto the net and onto YouTube, if you get backlinks straight away, come to Fiverr straight away and buy some backlinks, it's going to be super, super valuable for you. The quicker you can get some backlinks, the better.
It's so contrary to websites. If you build a new website, you have to build links slowly. Don't buy them too quick. With YouTube, I want to get them quickly.
I want to emulate that my video has gone somewhat viral. Again, that's what I want to emulate. There are some gigs that will take five to seven days, and that's cool with me. I just want to have some straight away, normally social bookmarks straight away, and then other backlinks after that.
And I just forgot one thing that I just wanted to show you, which is, oh, it's called Ping-o-matic.com. This is basically a site where you can identify the internet that you have a new video. Okay? Okay.
As soon as you've uploaded your new YouTube video, as soon as you've uploaded it, I want you to chuck it onto Ping-o-matic.com straight away. So the blog name, let's come here, I'm just going to use this weird YouTube URL for now, but imagine this is your new YouTube video. Okay? You're going to go to Ping-o-matic.com.
The blog name is going to be your keyword, so how to teach your dog to sit. Okay? Blog homepage is going to be your new video URL. Do not mistake this for your channel URL.
This is not where your channel URL goes. This is your video URL. Okay? And you're going to paste, this is obviously not the link, it's not what your link's going to look like, but you're going to paste your video URL there.
Leave this section, which is RSS URL, leave that with nothing in it. Click check all, so that all of these are checked, and you're going to click send pings. What that's going to do is it's going to say ping sent. It's basically telling YouTube, telling Google, telling Yahoo, telling NewsGator, all these different services.
Hey, there's a new video out here. Come check it out. They will find them eventually, okay? They'll scour the internet and their spiders will find them.
This speeds it up. It's basically, imagine I'm trying to find something in this room, and one of you has said, oh, I've put an apple somewhere in this room, and I'm going to, okay, I'm going to have a look around. Eventually I would find it. It would take me some time.
I'd look around, I'd walk around all the sofas, and eventually I would find that apple. If Nick came to me and said, oh, John, were you looking for an apple? There's one right there on that table. Come check it out.
Then I'm going straight there. I'm finding it quicker. So it's the same thing with this. If you're just, they're sending pings to Google and clues and saying, hey, there's a new video.
Just come check this out immediately. Does that make sense? So I'm just going to blast through this because we're ready for lunch, so The Vantage of Fiverr is totally legit, and Google loves the links. They'll get you links faster, and the links will be far better quality than the ones you could create yourself, so you may as well just use Fiverr.
You never have to worry about it. It's all done. I put up a new YouTube video. I buy some gigs.
It's done. They're working behind the scenes. They're going. Their sofas are doing it.
They're reaping the rewards for the sake of a few bucks. A question that I know will come up is, how many gigs do you buy per video? I would tend to just buy maybe between two and six, so that's between $10 and maybe like 30 bucks, something like that. You can kind of mix it up.
You can try $10 first, a couple gigs. If it doesn't rank, try buying some more backlinks. The more backlinks you buy, the more authority the channel's going to have, so you could spend 100 bucks on a video if you want to, if you really wanted that keyword, and that would probably help it rank even more. From different sellers.
From different sellers, yeah. If you buy it from the same vendor, they're going to build you the same links. You don't want 10 gigs that are the same links. You want to have social bookmarks.
You want to find someone on Fiverr who can do article links, meaning they're going to give you a backlink from an article somewhere. They're going to give you PR links, press releases. They're going to give you video backlinks, meaning that there's a backlink on someone's YouTube video, someone else's, vary it up, .edu backlinks, that kind of stuff. So I've explained all this, and this was the thing I wanted to just mention, is that when you are buying your backlinks, you always want to give them the video URL.
This is your new YouTube URL, sorry, your new video. It's just been uploaded. Imagine this is your new video. At the top of the search bar, in the address bar, there's going to be this address.
That's what you give to the Fiverr people. That's what you post whenever you need to post your link somewhere. I just never really used this, and I don't really know why, because I tried it, and for some reason, this didn't work. I don't understand why it didn't work.
I bought backlinks. I went to this, and they just didn't recognize them to this link, because it's all broken up. It's like utu.b, and for some reason, it's not like a proper youtube.com link. It's not like a link that is coming from their main domain, so I'm not even sure why they have that, or what purpose.
I'm sure there is a purpose, but for what we're doing, we're building backlinks, stuff like this, it just didn't work. So always use this link up here, and just get in the habit of doing that. Okay? Does that make sense?
Cool. So in conclusion, this is just basically… This is what I've done to build my list of about 81,000 people now, so I just want to give you some inspiration. I'm not saying that to brag.
I'm just saying that the YouTube videos that I've just shown you, this process, I just did this again, and again, and again, and my list is about 81,000 now, purely from YouTube videos. So it's like, this is crazy. I wanted to show you that just so you know that this is the real deal. I do this stuff, and I've had massive results with it, and what I've just showed you is pretty much exactly what I do, so that's cool.
I just create tons of these little keyword-based videos. And that's all I've done. So that's pretty much me. I've got some other stuff that if we find time, I might be able to.
It's not YouTube. It's more of my conversion, back end, capture pages, funnels, that kind of stuff. So if we find some time, I'll be able to do that, but for now, I believe we're breaking up for lunch. Is that right, Rhonda?
Breaking up for lunch now? Do you want to make an announcement or something? Yeah, you're done. I'm finished for now.
Wow. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Okay, so I'll do the YouTube stuff first, I think that was the... They can take action on it today anyway, so...
If you get this part wrong, then the rest of your kind of YouTube... YouTube campaign is going to fall, because one of the biggest mistakes I see people making is that they'll record their video, they're happy with it, and they'll just chuck it up on YouTube, and it'll just have a random title like, you know, me sitting by the pool talking about life, or, you know, that kind of stuff, and it's like just something that they've just typed in, but actually the only way people are going to find your videos on YouTube or on Google is if you are optimizing your videos for people that are already searching for that thing.
So I don't have to do too much competition analysis and all this different stuff because it's easier to rank my...
I think there's a statistic that it's 25 times easier to rank a YouTube video in the search results of Google and obviously YouTube as well than it is to rank a website, 25 times easier. So it means I can do 25 times less competition analysis and it makes my job a lot easier. I am just about to go into testing a few different keyword tools, some paid tools. So if I figure out one that works, I'll post it in the group and let you guys know about it. But for now, I just use the Google Keyword Planner.
So you can find it by... Am I speaking too fast? No. Okay. Sorry.
I do have that tendency. I've been told many times... Just a little bit.
Now... I've got a few slides here, but if you don't have a Google account already, you'll need to be logged in and you'll need to create an AdWords account, okay?
The only way that would be a slight help is if it says that it's got high competition, that means that advertisers are choosing to pay on that keyword. If it says high competition, there's a lot of competition to pay for ads to be on that keyword. So it means it's a profitable ad, okay?
If it's high competition, there's lots of ads being run, people spending money, which means that must be a profitable keyword, okay?
I used to try and just turn on the camera and just think about what I was going to say and I promise you, you will and ah way too much.
But if you want to cram that in two minutes, you've got to keep some kind of structure.
Okay, so you want to be scripted to some degree so that's my kind of structure for a video. It's relatively broad, but those are the things that you want to include in your video. Okay.
And this is why I've written down this script for you by show of hands who's found that yet in the group. Okay, not so many of you.
Then if you have space, I've just, I've put their attractive sentence. So this is where you can use a bit of your, you know, copywriting skills that you've learned from Jabril, to make an attractive sentence, something that's worth clicking on. So we have the keyword first because that's what they typed in. We want to target that.
Then if we have some more space, you might put how to teach your dog to sit. My attractive sentence might be, the seven, the seven secret tips or, you know, the, the two day method, something that is like, well, okay, that's, that's my attractive sentence. That's going to make someone want to click. They're already going to, they're already going to want to click because your keyword, your title is the name of what they were searching for anyway. But if we put an attractive sentence, it just, gives them more reason and incentive to, to go ahead and click on that video.
Okay.
The reason we do this is not so that it looks good to, to viewers because it might look a bit weird having the keyword there again in the description. But the reason we're doing that is because I want Google and YouTube to see that. I want you Google and YouTube to see that the first part of my description is the keyword that I'm targeting because I want their, their spiders to crawl that I want their spiders to see that. and then I want to have the URL next because if you notice on a YouTube video, when you go to it, it shows about three or four lines and then it has a button that says show more and then it opens up the full description.
Oh, they want to see, they want to see your viewers and your visitors staying on YouTube.
Okay. oh, I've actually got that. That's coming up.
Yeah. Yeah. Got that. Because, yeah.
10 past. So, yeah.
So, I tend to put my one keyword in the start.
So if my keyword was how to teach your dog to sit, I want to have three other keywords that are kind of related to, that keyword in some way to just pass on more authority to confirm that my channel is about that subject. Okay.
So my main keyword, how to teach, teach your dog to sit. My keyword variation one might be, how to get your dog. Okay. Teach your dog to sit. Keyword variation two might be, teach your dog to sit now, or do you see what I mean?
A variation. It doesn't really matter what these are. if you want to spend some time over it, you could do some keyword research and find some variations that are very similar that you could also benefit from as well.
Yeah. Okay. likes, comments, subscribers. Okay. Whoops.
Let's go back. these are really good to have as we all know.
Okay. The guys on Fiverr are going to use softwares. there's just not going to be done in a very natural looking way.
You could get, you know, Google could just find out about it a year later. And once you've done that. Once you think you're off the hook, then they shut you down because a year ago you bought some likes. See what I mean? I don't want to risk that.
Okay. So I don't really ever do that. I'd rather let it happen organically and you can often rank when you pretty much can rank if this is done the right way, just with creating your channel and video in the right way and getting some backlinks. And this is just like an extra, but I'd rather let that happen organically. Okay.
Does that make sense? But it is a good thing to have. so you can encourage likes, you can encourage comments. but I wouldn't really ever buy them. It's for me.
It's like a last resort. If there's a keyword I really wanted to rank for and I, I couldn't get it to rank with my other stuff, then maybe I would go to Fiverr, find someone who's really, highly rated and then maybe I would buy some likes and comments just to try it out. but it's just risky. Okay. I just wanted to just draw that in.
Okay. number five is watch time. watch time. This is something that I only just figured out, or learned about when I was with, Jabril in the, YouTube. Headquarters in London is they were telling us about this thing called watch time.
Now watch time is, basically increasing engagement on your page.
I don't want to confuse you, but I'm going to try.
Okay. Okay. So that's what YouTube wants to see is the one thing we don't want to see. but I wanted to explain what that was.
If you've got all these websites around here, if somewhere on their site, anywhere on their site, they have a link to your YouTube, video, they've given you a backlink.
If you create a brand new domain name, a brand new website, and suddenly you send 10,000 backlinks, from Fiverr or something like I'm going to show you, YouTube is going to penalize you because it does not look natural.
No.
Exactly. Good. Me neither.
Cool. So in conclusion, this is just basically... This is what I've done to build my list of about 81,000 people now, so I just want to give you some inspiration.
Wow. Thank you. Thank you.
