Your Landing Page Isn’t Broken: Nine Habits Behind Traffic That Actually Converts

You built the capture page. The headline is right, the button text is right, and you are genuinely proud of it. Then you drive traffic to it and nobody opts in. The instinct is to blame the page itself, rewrite the headline, try a different button color, add another traffic strategy on top of the one that already is not working. Michelle Schaefer’s answer to that exact frustration is that the page was probably never the actual problem.

Why does knowing your goal matter more than any traffic tactic?

Before she gets into any specific traffic strategy, Schaefer insists on four things being nailed down first: your own goal, your audience’s goal, your offer, and the process you are running people through. Skip any one of those and no amount of traffic will fix what is actually broken.

She described the exact mistake she made herself. A capture page that looked right, a headline that felt right, and traffic that arrived and simply did not convert. The instinct was to keep tweaking the page. The real fix was going back and testing whether the opt-in was even functioning before assuming the strategy had failed. That single habit, testing your process before blaming your traffic, is the internal conflict every one of these strategies is trying to resolve. It is not lack of traffic. It is not knowing where the actual break is happening.

What makes people actually share what you write?

Schaefer’s own path into blogging started by accident. She was not chasing traffic at all when she began.

My intention was I got tired of answering the same questions for my clients and my friends.

She put the same answer on a blog instead of retyping it every time, noticed people were finding it through search engines because they were typing the exact same questions she had already answered, and realized the mechanism almost by accident. Content that solves a real, specific pain gets found and gets shared, because people share things that make them look helpful to their own friends, the same way a neighbor tells you which restaurant to skip and which park is good for your kids.

That is the internal benefit underneath the traffic strategy: you do not need to already have all the answers. You need to know where to find them and be willing to pass them along, whether that means recording your own video after a training or simply pointing people toward a solution you learned from someone else.

What actually moves the needle once you know your audience?

From there, Schaefer laid out a working list of habits that compound into real blog traffic over time:

  • Know your audience’s specific pain, not a vague category like “wants to make money,” but the actual frustration keeping them up at night.
  • Write to solve that pain directly, so the post earns the right to be shared.
  • Build a real plan for what happens the moment you hit publish, instead of publishing and hoping.
  • Share every new post with your own list, since the people who already subscribed are the ones most likely to engage with it.
  • Respond to comments, because being heard is often the entire reason someone was willing to engage in the first place.
  • Put an opt-in on every single page, not just your homepage, so no visitor is a dead end.
  • Always include a clear call to action so a reader knows exactly what to do next.
  • Stay in touch and follow up consistently, since the people who already raised their hand are the highest-leverage group you have.

She was blunt about what happens when that last habit slips. She once stopped emailing her own list for a couple of weeks during a period of feeling unsure what to send, and her traffic dropped noticeably as a direct result, taking real, deliberate re-engagement work to recover. The lesson was not subtle: a list that never hears from you is a list that stops paying attention to you.

Where should you actually go looking for that traffic?

Schaefer was clear that there is no shortage of platforms to choose from, more ways to drive traffic than anyone could realistically try. The filter that matters is not which platform is trendiest. It is where your specific audience already spends their time. Someone selling a travel and lifestyle offer belongs on a visual platform built around photos. Someone solving a very different problem belongs somewhere else entirely. Picking one place your actual audience already lives, and going deep there, beats spreading thin attention across everywhere at once.

If you've got too much traffic to your blog, stand up. Okay, Silvio has too much traffic. If you've got too much traffic, I want you to stand up. Okay, if you're standing right now, you can go ahead and go, because this is not the right room.

I just want to make sure we're all in the right room. All right, everybody sitting down, I'm going to assume that you would like more traffic to your blog, to your capture pages. Is that right? More traffic?

Okay. All right, so before I jump into what I'm going to be sharing with you, which is how to get more traffic to your blog, a couple of small announcements. Number one, wasn't that a great training by Zach? Very in-depth, right?

Yeah, all right. Does that sometimes get a little overwhelming for you? Okay. Customer service is here.

Technical support is here all weekend. So if you want somebody to personally walk you through any of the pieces that Zach just showed you, take your computer. Go down to the register. Go to the registration desk, and they will help you.

Anytime the registration desk is open, they are there to walk you through any of the stuff Zach showed you, anything else you need to know about your back office, about Klaatu. So don't get overwhelmed. Just go ask for help, and they will be happy to jump in. All right, that was the announcement I was ordered to make sure that I shared.

So let's see. I've got a couple different things to go over with you today. Okay, and I've got a few things on my screen. I'm just going to leave that up there for a minute.

So before we talk about traffic, there's a couple of things that you need to have in place, and you need to know, otherwise everything you do will either be pointless or very ineffective. If you've ever struggled with getting traffic to your blog and then trying to figure out why you see traffic coming, but nobody's opting in, nobody's buying, this is the piece that you've got to start with, which is, what is your goal? Why do you want traffic to? Why do you want traffic to your site, to your opt-in pages?

Somebody shout out a reason you want traffic. More sales, more money, more leads. All right. More engagement.

Okay. Why do you want those things? Why? Why do you want more money?

Okay. Freedom. What else? Why do you want more money, more sales from your blog?

What does freedom mean to you? Shout out an answer. What's it mean for you? Lifestyle?

What's? Travel? Bills paid? There you go.

Having freedom. So really, that's what you want. That's your goal. And when you get overwhelmed, when you're sitting here thinking, oh, this is a lot to absorb, this is a lot to figure out, go back to that goal.

Because really, that's the reason why you're in this room, and it'll make it easier for you to stay focused on all of the things that you want. Okay. So number one is knowing your goal, and number two is knowing the goal of your ideal audience. Just like you have a why that motivates you to do what you do, so do the people you're trying to attract to your blog, and you need to understand what that is.

The second thing that you've got to know is what's your offer? How many of you know what the next step is that you want someone to take when they land on your blog or your opt-in page? What's the next step you want someone to take when they land on your opt-in page? Somebody tell me what that is.

Okay, good. I was starting to get worried there for a minute. All right. You want their email.

You want to build your list. Where do you take them after you get their email address? Okay, they go from the capture page to where? Autoresponders to where?

An offer. An offer. You have to know what your offer is. The next thing you've got to know, so your goal, your offer.

The third thing is your audience. Do you really know who you're talking to when you write the email? Do you really know who you're talking to when you write those blog posts? If you're fuzzy on that, you've got to get very, very clear.

Very clear. Not just, I'm looking for people who want to make money online, but who specifically? What group are you talking to? Especially when it comes to blogging, you have to know more about them than just they want to make money online.

For example, if somebody who says, I want to pay off all my bills, I want to have freedom from that stress is who I'm talking to, the way I write my blog post is going to be totally different. Totally different than the way I would talk to somebody who's specifically looking for the freedom to travel the world, right? Those are different goals. So you've got to know who your audience is and what their goal is.

And then you've got to know the process you're running them through. I don't know if anybody else has ever made this mistake, but I've set up capture pages before, and I've thought they look awesome. I have the right headline. I have the right button text.

This should convert really well. I go drive traffic. I write blog posts. I link to my opt-in page.

Nobody opts in. Where do I go? Well, I go back to what's wrong with my opt-in page. Do I need a different headline?

Maybe my blog post wasn't good enough. Maybe I need to promote more. Maybe I should try a different traffic strategy. And then I get this brilliant idea, hey, let me test my opt-in page.

And it's broken. Not a good thing, right? So you need to know what the process is. Before you drive any traffic, you need to test what you've got set up.

Make sure that your link to your opt-in page works, that your opt-in page is capturing email addresses, and that people are going where they need to be. People are going where they need to go next. Because then at the end of your blog post, you can confidently say, put your email address in the box below to get X, Y, Z, right? Because that's how you want to get people from your blog post into your list so you can get them in the process.

But you need to know your process. You need to test your process and be sure it's working. The reason I start with these four things, which are goal, offer, audience, and process, is without clarity on those, no amount of traffic strategies are going to work. No amount of click here, do this with Twitter, do this with Facebook, none of that is worth anything if you don't know who your audience is and you don't have some sort of offer that you are presenting them with.

So really, the who and the why is how you figure out the where. Because when you're looking at traffic strategies, who knows there's more than one way to drive traffic to your blog. I should see lots of hands. All right, everybody's asleep.

There are many, many, many, many different ways, this is over 100 of them, to drive traffic to your blog. You don't need to ever try all of these, please don't. But you do need to know which ones are the right ones for your audience, for the people you want to attract. So knowing who you want to attract, why you want to attract them, informs where you're going to go to get your traffic.

As an example, who's on Instagram here? Who's familiar with Instagram? A few of you, okay. Instagram's pretty hot right now.

If you are someone who's looking to attract people who are looking for travel and lifestyle freedom, is Instagram a good place for you to be sharing photos of your travel and the lifestyle you're creating? Yeah. So that's one of the ways that you need to filter down, because I know you guys hear a ton of traffic strategies. Does anybody ever look at the list of traffic ideas and go, I don't know where to start?

This is how you filter it down, is you think about who your audience is, and how do you communicate with them where they're already at. Because unfortunately, no matter how awesome your blog post is, or your opt-in page is, if you just put it out there and don't get traffic from somewhere, it doesn't magically appear. I tried that strategy. I blogged for a while.

Nobody shows up if you don't promote it, if you don't get it out there. So you've got to start with a strategy for that. So what I'm going to go over here is nine ways that you can get, let me switch to the right tab, nine ways to get more traffic, leads, and sales by blogging. And then I'm going to share with you a special guest for a moment who you may or may not have met yet.

I'm going to tell you exactly what actions to take to get more traffic coming to your blog and why. And a couple of things. Some other things here. So before I do that, if you could invest 30 minutes and get your next blog post in front of 100,000 people, would that be worth it to you?

Great. Be here Sunday for VIP day. Because that's one of the things that I'll be sharing on VIP day. I'm also going to share some of those tips with you now.

But make sure that you're ready Sunday to take lots of notes because they're going to dive deep into traffic strategies from all of the social networks, among other things. All right. Let's jump into this here. Nine ways to get more traffic, leads, and sales by blogging.

Number one, we talked about this. You have to know your audience. And here's the key to that. When you're writing your blog posts, you need to think about what motivates them.

What motivates them? What are their dreams and goals? And what are their challenges, pains, and frustrations? If you can zero in on what the pain they're feeling is, you have everything you need to write a blog that will attract the right people.

That will attract the right people to you and get them to take action to learn more about how you can help them solve that pain. Because that's what we're looking for. Right? When we're in pain, we're looking for a solution.

I tell people the story that the reason I believe anybody can successfully blog is because I accidentally became a successful blogger. I didn't set out to do that. Didn't know how it happened for a while. I couldn't figure it out.

And some of you may have heard me share this on webcasts before, but I started a blog by accident. My intention was I got tired of answering the same questions for my clients and my friends. I was like, I'm just going to put this on a blog because it's an easy way to publish it, and then I'm going to send people the link when they email me the same question so I don't have to type it out again. So I started doing that.

It was great. It saved me time, gave them answers. And then I noticed I was getting traffic to this blog. I'm like, wait, how did that happen?

And as I started looking at where the traffic was coming from, people were typing those same questions into search engines and finding me. And the people that I shared the blog post with were sharing them with their friends. And I went, oh, there's something to this blogging thing. It kind of works.

So then I intentionally started blogging consistently and used that to build a business around. But I fell into it accidentally, and that showed me the power of it, that just by answering people's questions, that's how you get traffic to your blog and you get people to take action. So that's the first thing, is what are their challenges, pains, and frustrations? Okay.

The second thing is, write posts that solve their problems. I want you to think about the last thing you shared on a social network. Somebody tell me what the last thing you shared was. The event.

The event. You shared a video. A video. What was the video about?

Being at the pool. Being at the pool. Lifestyle. Lifestyle choices.

Choices. Okay. What's something else you've shared on social media recently? We should talk later.

A practice that you feel when you're under stress. All right. What's something you've shared from somebody else on social media? What's something you've seen on Facebook or on Twitter that you clicked to share that wasn't yours?

A funny cartoon. Why did you share it? It made you laugh, and you wanted other people to feel that, right? Think about the reasons why we share things.

If you want to get traffic to your blog, you want to get people sharing it, you need to think from that perspective. Every time you share something, I want you to stop and think, what made me share this? And then apply that to the content you're creating. Stop and think, would somebody else find enough value in this to share it?

And sometimes it is as simple as, we share something because it was funny. We want to brighten other people's day. People ask me, do I have to write 5,000 word blog posts? No.

Now, there is a place for epic blog content, and you do not want to miss tomorrow night at the event, because we're going to be sharing a whole lot about that, and through the rest of the event. But it doesn't mean that every post you write needs to be 5,000 words. Every post on my blog is not. Nearly that length.

Sometimes I share a funny video, an inspirational video, because when you think about the reasons people share, and if you want to get traffic, you need other people to be sharing your content. It's because they want to be useful, or helpful, or appear a certain way. We share certain things because of the way other people will look at it. And if you can use that when you're creating your content, and get more people sharing your content, you need to keep that strategy in mind.

When you solve a problem. Other people will be more likely to share your post. One of the things I very frequently put right in my post is, if you found this helpful, if this helped you solve problem X, click here to share it with your friends on Facebook. So use call to actions like that in your post.

It's okay to tell people, hey, this was helpful to you. You should share it with your friends. Because we want to be helpful. When somebody new moves into town, and you're having a conversation with them, what's the first thing you usually share?

What's that? I scroll. Oh. Restaurants.

Restaurants? What else? Movies. Movies?

All right. When I recently moved, and it was interesting to get feedback from people in the area of, don't go past this street. You don't want to be in this area of town. Here's a great park for your kids.

Here's a good place to get coffee. Do not eat at this Chinese place. I got a lot of really helpful advice. Our friends share that with us because they want to be helpful, right?

So when it comes to your content, you need to make sure that it's useful enough. That people are going to want to share it like that. It's what motivates them to share it. So figure out why should people read your blog posts, answer their questions, and solve their problems.

Now one of the things to remember, you guys hear Dave and our other leaders say this all the time, teach what you're learning. So when I say solve problems, it doesn't mean you have to have all the answers. It just means you have to know where to find them and how to share them. That may mean finding a video from a coach in your upline and sharing his video on your blog.

It may mean coming to an event like this, taking notes, and then standing out in the hallway and recording a video where you share the same thing and let people know they can implement that too. So you don't have to know all the answers, you just have to connect your audience to the answers. All right, so let's go to the next one here. Who here has a written checklist of what you do every time you hit publish on a blog post?

One, two, three. I see a few hands. Who here hits publish and either thinks, okay, great, I published a blog post, I'm done, or what do I do now? Does anybody ever have that thought?

All right, more hands. This is one of the keys to getting traffic to your blog is having a plan for it. Just like anything else, you want to get to six figures, you want to get to seven figures, you need a plan. You want to get traffic to your blog, you need a plan.

So I will go into some examples of that in a minute and give you some specifics that you can look at. For now, just keep that in mind. You need a plan. Okay, this is one that we've heard for a long time, right?

Blog every day. Who here has been able to stick with that successfully for more than six months? That is awesome. Seriously, hats off.

That is extremely hard to do. I'm going to tell you not to do this. I'm not going to tell you why. You have to come listen to the rest of the event to find out why.

All right? No, I'm just going to plant that in your head that blogging may be evolving, and you may want to look at whether that's the best use of your time to publish every single day. Number five is share your blog posts with your list. Who here has a list that you're building?

Aweber, GetResponse, somewhere? Okay, if you did not raise your hand, do not do anything else tonight until you go set up your list. I don't care who you choose to host it. Aweber, GetResponse, PT Sender.

Get it set up and get it hooked up to your blog and your back office. And then you can come back and enjoy the rest of the event. But you got to share your blog posts with your list because the people who subscribe, that's how you stay in touch with them. That's one reason blogging works is you can continue sending them helpful content, let them get to know you and build trust with you.

So every time you publish something new, share it with your list. That's a very simple one. Number six, respond to your comments. Does anyone know why this matters?

Exactly. People want to be heard. How many times have you had somebody come to you and all you had to do was listen to them for a few minutes, validate the way they were feeling, and then you were able to get them to join you in whatever the particular thing you were moving them towards was? Whether it's getting them to sign up for your list, getting them to join you in the business, whether it's getting them to take their next action as somebody on your team, we all want to be heard.

Aweber, GetResponse, PT Sender. And when we take the time to hear and validate. Aweber, GetResponse, PT Sender. And when we take the time to hear and validate people, amazing things will happen because you care and because you let them know that.

So respond to your comments. Include an opt-in on every page. Does everyone here have an opt-in box on every page of their blog? Okay, that's the second thing.

If you're not raising your hand, you need to go fix that. The registration desk will be happy to show you how. Don't leave this event without getting that in place. All right.

Always include a call to action. I'm not going to go into this one because we've got Rob talking about some of that in a minute, and I'll leave that to the expert. But include a call to action in your blog post. You've got to tell people what to do next.

If I get to the bottom of your blog post and there's no question, there's no action for me, what am I going to do? It's the internet. There's a million things to grab my attention. I'm just going to go on to the next thing on my list.

I probably have 50 tabs open in my browser already, so I'm going to close that and go to the next thing. Number six was respond to your comments. Number seven was include an opt-in on every single page. Okay.

Every page, every blog post should have an opt-in. And this is easy to do inside Klot2. All right. So call to action, this is going to vary depending on what it is you're blogging about.

Most of the time it's going to be to get on your list. You're going to want them to connect to your list. Now, when you look at that, you need to keep in mind what it is specifically that you're talking about. Because you can do a call to action that's straight to a sales page.

So if I were writing a blog post maybe about… She shared earlier that she shared videos about stress relief techniques or how to handle it when you get overwhelmed. Now, if I'm writing a blog post about that, who can tell me which product I might want to link to at the end of my blog post? Inner Circle.

If I'm writing a blog post for people that are overwhelmed and stressed out and offering them solutions that will help them improve their mindset, and they're coming to read that at my blog, they're a great fit for joining Inner Circle to get those audios to improve their mindset. This is one of the things you need to think about when you write your blog post, is what is this specifically about? And what is it that makes sense to offer people who are reading this? So call to actions.

Always have a call to action. It may be to comment. It may be to share. It might be to buy or get on your list.

And stay in touch and follow up. People fall down on this step. This is where you have the most potential. When somebody has raised their hand and gotten on your list, they want to hear from you.

So don't be afraid to email them. I used to be terrified to email my list, especially as it started growing. When I hit 4 or 5,000, I went through this period where I was like, I don't know what to send them. I'm afraid to send them anything.

Biggest mistake I ever made was not mailing my list for a couple of weeks. My traffic went like that. And then I had to go through re-engagement to get it back up. But start a consistent habit for yourself that you're going to stay in touch with them.

If you don't have something of your own to share, just send an email that shares something from someone else that you found useful or you found helpful. I do that all the time. I'm on my blog. It doesn't hurt.

People worry they're going to send their traffic somewhere else. If people got on your list, it's because they want to know more about whatever that topic is. And if you share things with them that are useful, that positions you as someone who's continuing to learn. You're an authority.

You're continuing to grow. And you're sharing useful things with them. So don't be afraid to send your list useful things that you find as long as you're staying in touch and following up with them. Make sure that you are doing that.

All right. So a couple of things here that I promised I would go over. Let me flip my window. Who recognizes this?

Okay. Who has access to this? Who's gone through all seven modules of this? What's that?

You missed it. Not everybody has this. This was a bonus that was given out if you upgraded to Kulatu Premium when it first released. So you may not have it.

You don't have it. Well, you should have upgraded to Kulatu Premium sooner. I'm going to tell you how you can get this in a minute. First I'm going to show you some of what's inside it so you really want it and then you're going to do exactly what I tell you to so that you can get it.

See this is being clear on what the next action is that I want you to take. So a minute ago I told you you needed a daily plan. How much easier would it be if I just gave you that instead of telling you to go make one? That's better, right?

I like it when people give me plans personally that I can follow. It works way better. I've had a lot of that lately. I decided I would start going to the gym again and attempt to improve my diet and get healthier.

When you go to the gym without a plan and you're standing there looking at all these really strange contraptions thinking, I don't even know how you sit on that, let alone what muscle group it's supposed to work. It's not very effective, right? Yeah, probably ended up upside down on some of those things. But when you stop and get help with it and ask somebody who knows what to do how to use it, then suddenly it starts working.

So it's better to ask for advice from people who know how to do things than to just try to figure it out on your own. Please don't ever do that. You have an amazing team of people around you. You've got your leaders and your upline.

You've got the people in this room. You've got the customer support team. And you have clubs now. Who knows about the club levels?

Most of you? Who gets what the club levels are? All right. Okay, we'll come back to that in a minute.

But you should never be trying to figure this out on your own because you don't have to. It's a waste of time and energy to try to figure things out on your own. Don't make a mistake just because you can. Learn from other people's mistakes.

Let me embarrass myself, and then I'll show you how you don't have to embarrass yourself. It's a much faster way to learn. So social media strategies, let's go over a little bit of this. Now, this is Traffic Tripler.

If you have access to it, it's under all products in your back office. As you go down through here, you'll see this is just one module. It talks about social media traffic. It's not all about you.

We went over that already, right? What you write is for your audience. Here's an example of what a specific plan could be. You've got all sorts of different ideas for updates in here.

I'm just going to skip down through that. If you have access to this, you can look at it later. If you don't, you're going to want to get it. Here's some specific plans, though.

You can see this goes step by step for different social networks. If you're looking to drive free traffic from social networks, of exactly what to do when you sit down at your computer. Just go down and check the list off every single day. For LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Twitter, we need to get Instagram in here.

This needs an update. Let's go over just one of these as an example so that you have an idea of how it works. For Facebook, when you jump on there, accept your new friend request. That's generally a good idea, right?

You want to connect with more people. Send a thank you note. How many of you say thank you when somebody connects with you on social media? All right.

A few of you do. Everyone should be. It's okay to add a link to your blog. You don't want to just send a message to some person you just met and say, hey, sign up here.

They're probably not going to want to spend $5,000 with you if they just met you on Facebook until you've had a little bit of connection. But it's okay to send them a link to your blog. Or something like that. Scan through your newsfeed, like, comment, share posts, request connections, share your most recent blog posts, visit some Facebook groups.

How many of you are active in Facebook groups? That has been one of the best sources of traffic to my blog, second only to Twitter, which is because I choose to focus on Twitter. How many of you are doing Facebook ads? How many of you who are doing Facebook ads are seeing amazing results from that?

Got it? Got a couple hands up. You want to be at VIP Day on Sunday because they're going to go step-by-step through Facebook ads and how to make those work for you. If you haven't tried them, it is one of the easiest ways to get started with paid traffic.

You don't have to have a huge budget. And with the way you can target people on Facebook, you can very quickly find the right people and get traffic to your site. So you don't want to miss that. All right.

Get back up here. So let's see. These are some example things. You can share them with your friends.

You can share them with your friends. These are some example things you can share on social media, right? Because not everything you put out can be opt-in here or nobody's going to listen or pay attention, right? You get hidden in everybody's news feeds.

This one, Module 4, again, gives you these checklists. And just real quick, I want to bring a special guest up here who happens to know how you can get access to this if you don't have it yet. Here he comes. All right.

And I've pulled him up here kind of last minute. Does anybody know who this is? Let's give him a hand. Round of applause for not killing Gus.

All right. I couldn't see what it said from way back there. All right. So this is Mr.

Markdale, who is our brand new elite club coach. Woo! All right. Give him a round of applause, who obviously does know the correct way to use gym equipment.

Just throw that out there as well. So what I said a minute ago about not trying to do things on your own, you've got club level coaches now that you have access to multiple times a week that are there to walk you through things, to help you learn to walk, to run, to jump as you move through it. And the reason I wanted to bring Mr. Dale up here is I've got a question.

How can they get access to this if they don't have it? The traffic tripler? Yes. Raise your hand if you're only at the blog level.

Fair enough. No. I didn't even know where we're at. Blog level.

You just own the blog and you're an affiliate. That's just where you're at. You're what we call the basic club level. That's what we're calling anybody that comes into the system now through your marketing.

They're gonna be, if they only own the blog and they're just an affiliate, they're a basic level member, just getting their toe in the water to the business. How many of you are blog owning and inner circle owning? Okay. That is what we call the elite level.

That's just what we're calling that level of commitment to doing the business is that you're an affiliate. You own the blog and you own the inner circle. Now, in this room at the live events, I'm expecting way more hands, but I want to tell you statistically, in the entire company for Empower Network, statistically, most of the people are at that level. Just the blog and just the inner circle.

That's their level of commitment to wanting to do the business. That's where the majority of most people are in the company. At a live event, this is the choir. You guys are the choir.

You have a higher level of commitment. That's the six figure levels and then the seven figure black card levels. Those are where probably the majority of these rooms are, is that you own those other rooms. You own those other products, so you're at the higher club levels.

Fair enough? If you're at the elite level, is that what you're asking me? If they're at the elite level, they can have the traffic tripler? If you're at the elite level, you don't get it.

If you do what I tell you, what I'm going to do right now, you can have it. Here's the thing. Did you guys see the webcast I did on Tuesday? Anybody see that?

Or I did? I had. Well, then just so you know, no animals were harmed in that event. I'm telling you, my Facebook lit up.

For those of you that don't know, I shoot a lot of archery. I have a Pomeranian dog. I had an apple and I had an arrow that wasn't working very well. And I was non-intoxicated.

I was fully functional. But the whole feed is like, don't shoot your, Gus, my little boy is, and I made a put in there. Okay. You all have access to the replay.

Go watch it. When you log in, you go to the iPass, you go to the elite level, you'll see that the live webinar, you can watch the replay. You will enjoy it. My job is to get everybody at that elite level, the blog and inner circle level.

My job is to help them go up. That's the only thing I'm thinking about doing. That's the only thing I want to do. Now.

If you do it the right way, okay, when, well, there it is, right there, yeah. So you go, well, it's that green button in the upper right now. Yeah, it goes to the replay. It got crazy that day.

Anyway, everything, I try to explain to people, I try to make the, the stuff that Zach was doing was blowing my head. It hurt my head when he was going over all of that stuff. I'm not a technical guy. I'm not a computer guy.

I'm a 47-year-old stupid Norwegian. That's it. I need easy. Give me easy and I can do it.

Give me complicated. I just thought, why do I need a counter? Why do I need a top? What is padding?

Why do I need padding? What's all the padding about? What's a pixel? What the heck?

What the heck? I didn't get it. I want simple. I want easy.

I accelerate. I'm taking all this complex stuff and I make it, explain it real easy for people. If you're only at the blog and inner circle level, I'm going to make it real easy for you to understand the advantages of moving up to the six figure level. It's going to be so crystal clear for you why you need to be up there.

It's just. I'm kind of a pragmatic, practical guy. I like my reasons, but sometimes I get emotional because I want to get excited and I want to know the good feelings, the reasons why I do that. I don't get, uh, I get more making my decisions because of the practical.

This just makes sense. When I make a stupid decision, I'm trying to explain it to my wife. I'm like, well, it made sense at the time just made sense. It makes sense.

You weren't there. You should know. It makes sense. So anyway.

Uh. When you're going to go up and you're going to buy the, the, uh, it's the, uh, team builder formula. Okay. And the top producer formula, it's going to make so much sense to you to want to do that, that you're going to do it.

If, if, if that's where you're at, if you're at my elite level, you watch my webinars, you understand my influence. I'm going to make sure that you're going to make, it's going to feel like, yeah, I got to do that now. It would be foolish to not do it. That's my.

Okay. That's my intention. Not to make you feel like a fool for not doing it, but to, to show you the way that it's going to make so much sense that you're going to be like, absolutely. You go up for it.

Now, guess what happens when you start marketing and people come into the business and they come to the elite level, they receive my influence. Well, if you're already, you're, you're at the higher levels and you're doing the marketing and 90% of the people end up in front of me and it's going to make sense to them to move up. Guess who's getting paid. You're getting paid because people are buying because it makes sense because if they want to do the business, because now the business says, pick your dream number.

And I got news for you. Most people hit a $10,000 a month dream lifestyle number. So if I'm the accountability coach and I'm like, look, I'm going to put your feet to the flame and I'm going to say, well, you really want that or you don't well, no Mark. I really do.

I'm like, I doubt it. Show me. No, Mark. I really do.

Well, how do you expect to make $10,000 a month? Yeah. $10,000 a month. If you're only peddling stuff that you get 17 bucks and you get these, these small numbers, you're telling me you want to make 10 grand.

Show me, I don't know anybody that's making $10,000 a month. That's in my level. They're at the higher levels. Does that make sense?

I'm not trying to bust anybody's chops here, but there's nobody making $10,000 a month. That's in the elite level selling blogs and inner circles. That's just not where they're at. Yeah.

The people that are making more than $10,000 a month, guess where they're at? Yes. So how can you stand in front of me and fill out your things and say, you want to make 10 grand a month? Mark.

I really do. Mark. I really do. Mark.

I want to get in shape. I want to lift weights and get looking good. My wife and I own a gym in Minnesota. Chris and I lift five days a week.

I bust his chops. I'm the pressure. I professionally bust his chops. I hold him highly accountable.

He holds me accountable. That's what we do. But you can't come to me and say, Mark, I want to be in shape and not expect me to believe you. I'm going to believe you.

And I'm going to bust your chops until I give you what you said you wanted from me, which is to get in shape. That's what I do. I hold people's feet to the flames. The accountability they're asking me to give them is the only thing they want.

And once they get accountability, they don't want it anymore. Accountability is the one thing people are begging for. And then they don't want it after they get it. It's weird, but it's true.

If you're going to come to me, and you're going to sit and listen to my webinars, and you're going to sit there, and you're going to tell me, generally speaking, and I'm painting a broad brush. I know that. Not everybody has the same income goals. But when they start dreaming, they're like, yeah, I want to make 10 grand a month.

I'm like, well, then you're in the wrong spot. And let me tell you why. And I do it nice. Let me explain to you why.

Well, Mark, I can't afford that. Well, now you're thinking of a W2 mind. You're thinking the wrong way. Why?

I mean, when I look at a business expense, I don't look at the expense. I never look at the expense. The expense is not something that I'm even allowed to look at. All I look at is the business income opportunity side of that coin.

I never look at the expense. Not that I'm stupid, and I don't pay attention to my business expenses. It's that when I'm making my decision on what I want to do for reaching my goals, I only look at the income opportunity side of it. It's the only thing.

I look at now when my wife wanted to put 50 spin bikes in our gym two weeks ago and I needed to find a way to come up with 50 grand to do it I was concerned about the expense well guess what mama did to explain it to me she didn't talk about the expense did she she's like oh mark we're gonna make so much money if we have these bikes she didn't want me looking at the expense she wanted me looking at the income opportunity the upside most people that come into our business and they're in my level coaching at the ad elite level are not looking at the income opportunity side of the coin in their decision-making they're not they're not wired for it they're w-2 minded people they're not entrepreneurial yet that makes sense they look at me and they go more mark I can't afford that are you crazy I can't afford that in my head I can't afford that I can't afford that in my head I can't afford that I might you can't afford not to get that you're not looking at the income opportunity guess what's gonna happen you're gonna go do marketing right and they're like yeah I'm gonna do marketing I'm like great they're gonna come in and they're gonna get the blog and I'm gonna be affiliates right and they're like yeah they're gonna and guess what they're gonna upgrade they're gonna go ahead and get the inner circle and they're like yeah and I said guess what gonna happen after that they're gonna listen to me and watch me shoot arrows at my dog and they're like yeah and I said guess what they're gonna do after I start influencing them they're gonna buy stuff and if you're not in position to reap the rewards of my influencing them you you suck.

It's, it's not mean like that, but that's the way, that's the logic we're following. You guys, if all, look, if all of you, yes, if all of you are at the black level, at the highest level and everybody coming into this show goes to the black level, who's going to be rich? You are. Yeah.

My expectation is for everybody to be at the black level. You damn well better get there before they do, especially with the new compensation plan. You had better get there before they do. I'm going to preach it hard.

My goal is to make sure everybody you bring into this business goes up to the black. I got to baby step them up there because Chris and I talked about that. That's fine. But you can't come to me and tell me, look, Mark, I got my, I got my, uh, look at the, this is my dream number.

I got goals, 20 grand a month, 40 grand a month, 50 grand a month. And then you print the check and the checks there in front of you. You're like, damn, yes. You're going to come and tell me, and I'm going to ask you how much money do you want to make a month?

And you're going to say some number and I'm going to question it. I may be one of the only people in your world is going to question it. Them. Are you sure?

Yeah, Mark, I'm sure. Well, then you're in the wrong spot. You need to upgrade now. Well, I can't afford it.

Look, I couldn't either. My problem was, is Jones is my sponsor. Yeah. Oh yeah.

He's like, Mark, I can teach you how to do internet marketing. I'm like, cool. I'm a dumb gym owner. I don't know internet marketing.

What are you talking about? He's like, look, get all these products from Empower Network. I'm like, what's an Empower Network? Is that some lotion or potion?

What do you do with that? He's like, don't worry about what it is. This is what he tells me. Don't worry about what it is.

Just get it. Okay, fine. I don't care what it is. How much is it?

At the time, it was very expensive. I'm like, I don't have that. He said, that's fine. Come back when you do.

He knew the future before I started. He knew my future before I started. I know that everybody coming to my webinars, I know their future before they started, whether they know it or not, they don't. They think moving on is all about a business expense and it sucks and I don't have the money.

Well, do you want to be an entrepreneur or do you just need a new job? It sounds like you need a new job. I love you where you're at and if that's where you need to be, I get you. I really do.

Being self-employed is not for everybody. Most of us are surrounded by worker bees. W2 minds dreaming about being self-employed until they've got to do it. People coming to me, I want to get in shape.

Yeah, until it's time to do it. Because being self-employed is hard, but it's worth it. I will explain that to anybody you send to my elite level training. You had better get up the chain before they get to me because I'm going to make them pass you because it's going to be damn crystal clear for them to get up the chain.

You need to be in position to reap the rewards. You understand everything I'm telling you is what I'm going to tell them. Oh, you got to hear that. Do you understand everything I'm telling you?

I'm going to tell them what's happening to you now. What's happening to you is going to happen for you. Everything that's happening to you will happen for you. The system is designed to make sure that happens with the club levels now because after I'm wrapping somebody up and they're like, well, I can't afford that and that.

I said, you don't understand when you go up the chain, I'm going to introduce you to a buddy of mine from Russia. His name's Alex. We need to hear what he teaches you. And if you don't have the products and the tools that he's going to teach you, you ain't going to make your 10 grand a month.

You're a joker. Oh, Mark, why are you being so mean to me? No, I'm telling you. I'm telling you that you told me you want to make seven grand a month, eight grand a month, 20 grand a month.

You tell me that I believe you. And I'll tell you what it takes to go get it. I'm going to be so honest with your people that they're going to get the same feelings you're having now because it makes the most sense for them to do it. And I do get a little bit yelly and I do shoot archery at my dog.

That's fun. If they see that replay, they'll know what I'm talking about. You just wanted me to come up here and answer one question, didn't you? I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry. You did exactly that. I'm saying, I'm saying, you want the triple, what is triple checker? Triple, it's a Baconator, the triple Baconator.

Triple, triple trip, traffic tripler, traffic tripler. If you want the traffic tripler, whatever, traffic tripler. You want that traffic tripler, you got to upgrade to the six figure level. That's what you wanted me to say.

That's what I'm saying. Get the traffic tripler, but you have not upgraded and you implement what you're told to do. Ooh. If you do what you're supposed to do with the traffic tripler and you're not in position to reap the rewards, you're a fool.

Yeah, I said it. Mark's calling you a fool. Why do the activities and not reap the rewards? You have to be in position to reap the rewards.

Reap the rewards of your, of your behavior. Welcome to being self-employed. If I've hired the very best three spinning teaching coaches in the entire state of Minnesota, I had better be able to reap the rewards and own 30 spinning bikes. Or do I only own four bikes?

Right? Do I only own four bikes or do I only own the blog? If I'm going to do the work and I want to pack those seats, I better be able to reap the rewards of my effort. Everybody you send to me will understand they need to move up.

It makes sense. If you're not moving up, you know what comes after that. If you're not moving up, you're, uh, we'll talk more later if they give me another microphone. I know that's, this guy's…sorry.

Thank you. No, you did exactly what I was hoping you would do. You did everything as much as I way yes I will let's see I'm trying to think where that is if you already at the level it should be under all products in your back office let's see here if it's not there shoot customer service an email and they'll get you access to it but it should be right here under view all products and traffic tripler that's where to go to find it and you can see there's seven modules this goes through paid traffic free traffic what mistakes not to make with traffic okay so I did ask mr.

Dale up here to share that with you but as you could see he was not really familiar with the answer to that question because that's not really why I brought him up here who feels motivated right now who sees the potential how much easier would it make you for you to build your business if you didn't have to focus on being that that person in this equation of pushing people and holding them accountable because you know all of your new members that are coming in are going to Mark's Club and getting that twice a week how much faster you think your business is going to grow all right that's why I brought him up here was I wanted you to see a little bit of that potential of what's coming with the club levels the reason that ties into me speaking about traffic is because that's all you need to focus on with the club level coaches that are in place your new people that you brought in that are going to be your customers and the people that you bring in have the support to continue moving through the process and build the business that they want to build because we've got the team in place to help them do that you guys are gonna learn a lot more about the club levels about the coaches during this event you want to pay attention but this allows you to put your focus on traffic and on the other pieces in your business which again you will learn more about on VIP day the other reason I wanted to bring him up here was I've got a few other emails to go through to share to you about how I am doing and so I came up with a couple of ideas that I wanted to share but for now I'm just going to invite you to share it with us okay so for the last thing that I'll share I'm gonna wrap up here and turn it over to Rob no not that one in one of these windows alright you may have seen this kind of scrolling around on the screen a bit there's a bunch of different ways you can get traffic the cool thing about this is I promise you there is something for everybody on it who would like access to this and ask you to promise me two things and I'll send it to you in an email number one does man say I hope you guys don't trust me now I've seen so many people that don't trust me like me already agreeing.

Ooh, I'm going to change what I'm asking him to promise here. 100 videos in 72 hours. Deja vu. No, no, no, no.

Two things. Number one, I'm going to send this to you. You have to promise me that you're not going to get overwhelmed, that you're going to look at it, you're going to give yourself permission to choose just one or two things to try, and you're going to commit to yourself that you're going to stick with that. When you see the trainers on Sunday talk about Instagram and Pinterest and Periscope and Twitter and Facebook and all of the different networks, it's really easy to think I need to jump into all of these.

You don't. You need to pick one thing and learn to use it really, really well. Some of the teams that are duplicating the fastest right now have done that. They've got one strategy that they teach, and they get people to dial that in, and then their business grows.

So that's the first thing. You've got to promise me you won't get overwhelmed and that you'll pick just a couple things to focus on. Can we do that? Yes.

Yeah. Okay. Second thing you've got to promise me, you will be there for Mr. Dale's next webcast training next week after the event.

You there? All right. All right. And with that, you have to help me make sure that he does not shoot Gus with an arrow.

So I will get you guys a copy of this along with a walkthrough of how these different things work so that you will have access to more traffic training and strategies there. So in closing, Rob is here somewhere, hopefully. Where's he at? All right.

It's your turn. Okay. Last thing, it's just, I'll put that out there again. Make sure you are here Sunday for VIP day.

I will show you how you can invest 30 minutes of your time, one time, and every blog post that you hit publish on after that, you can get in front of at least 100,000 people. So if you are not VIP or all in yet, now is a great time to do that. So if you are not VIP or all in yet, now is a great time to do that. The registration desk will be more than happy to help you.

All right. Make sure you are here for VIP day. Make sure you are here tomorrow night to learn about epic blog content and why I said you might not need to invest your time in blogging every single day. You're going to hear more about that tomorrow and how blogging has evolved.

So all sorts of cool stuff coming and Rob is still not up here. Everybody give him a hand so he'll get up here, please. I gave him a lot of hints. Faster, faster.

There we go. All right. Who wants to learn more about sales psychology and opt-in pages? Yeah?

Did they get a break? All right. You've got about a minute to stand up, stretch, tell the person next to you don't miss Mark Dale's next webcast, and we will be right back.

So if I were writing a blog post maybe about... She shared earlier that she shared videos about stress relief techniques or how to handle it when you get overwhelmed.

So a minute ago I told you needed a daily plan.

Dale, who is our brand new elite club coach.

Woo!

I didn't get it.

I want simple. I want easy. I accelerate. I'm taking all this complex stuff and I make it, explain it real easy for people. It's going to be so crystal clear for you why you need to be up there.

It's just. I'm kind of a pragmatic, practical guy. I like my reasons, but sometimes I get emotional because I want to get excited and I want to know the good feelings, the reasons why I do that. I don't get, I get more making my decisions because of the practical. This just makes sense.

When I make a stupid decision, I'm trying to explain it to my wife. I'm like, well, it made sense at the time just made sense. It makes sense. You weren't there. You should know.

It makes sense. So anyway. When you're going to go up and you're going to buy the team builder formula.

Not to make you feel like a fool for not doing it, but to show you the way that it's going to make so much sense that you're going to be like, absolutely. You go up for it. Now, guess what happens when you start marketing and people come into the business and they come to the elite level, they receive my influence. Well, if you're already, you're at the higher levels and you're doing the marketing and 90% of the people end up in front of me and it's going to make sense to them to move up.

Guess who's getting paid. You're getting paid because people are buying because it makes sense because if they want to do the business, because now the business says, pick your dream number. And I got news for you. So if I'm the accountability coach and I'm like, look, I'm going to put your feet to the flame and I'm going to say, well, you really want that or you don't. Well, no, Mark. I really do.

I'm like, I doubt it. Show me. No, Mark. I really do. Yeah.

If you're only peddling stuff that you get 17 bucks and you get these small numbers, you're telling me you want to make 10 grand. That's in my level. They're at the higher levels. Does that make sense? That's in the elite level selling blogs and inner circles.

That's just not where they're at. Yeah.

I look at now, when my wife wanted to put 50 spin bikes in our gym two weeks ago and I needed to find a way to come up with 50 grand to do it, I was concerned about the expense. Well, guess what mama did to explain it to me? She didn't talk about the expense, did she? She's like, oh Mark, we're gonna make so much money if we have these bikes. She didn't want me looking at the expense. She wanted me looking at the income opportunity, the upside.

Most people that come into our business, and they're in my level coaching at the elite level, are not looking at the income opportunity side of the coin in their decision-making. They're not. They're not wired for it. They're W-2 minded people. They're not entrepreneurial yet. That makes sense. They look at me and they go, Mark, I can't afford that. Are you crazy? I can't afford that. In my head, I can't afford that, I can't afford that, in my head. I can't afford that, I might. You can't afford not to get that. You're not looking at the income opportunity.

Guess what's gonna happen. You're gonna go do marketing, right? And they're like, yeah, I'm gonna do marketing. I'm like, great. They're gonna come in and they're gonna get the blog and they're gonna be affiliates, right? And they're like, yeah, they're gonna. And guess what, they're gonna upgrade. They're gonna go ahead and get the Inner Circle. And they're like, yeah. And I said, guess what's gonna happen after that? They're gonna listen to me and watch me shoot arrows at my dog. And they're like, yeah. And I said, guess what they're gonna do after I start influencing them? They're gonna buy stuff. And if you're not in position to reap the rewards of my influencing them, you suck.

It's not mean like that, but that's the way, that's the logic we're following. You guys, if all of you, yes, if all of you are at the black level, at the highest level and everybody coming into this show goes to the black level, who's going to be rich? You are.

But you can't come to me and tell me, look, Mark, this is my dream number.

You did exactly that.

I'm saying, you want the traffic tripler, whatever, traffic tripler.

Reap the rewards of your behavior.

If you're not moving up, we'll talk more later if they give me another microphone. I know that's, this guy's... sorry.

Thank you. No, you did exactly what I was hoping you would do. You did everything as much as I. Way, yes, I will.

Let's see, I'm trying to think where that is. If you're already at the level, it should be under all products in your back office. Let's see here. If it's not there, shoot customer service an email and they'll get you access to it. But it should be right here under view all products, and traffic tripler, that's where to go to find it. And you can see there's seven modules. This goes through paid traffic, free traffic, what mistakes not to make with traffic.

Okay, so I did ask Mr. Dale up here to share that with you, but as you could see, he was not really familiar with the answer to that question, because that's not really why I brought him up here. Who feels motivated right now? Who sees the potential? How much easier would it make it for you to build your business if you didn't have to focus on being that person in this equation of pushing people and holding them accountable, because you know all of your new members that are coming in are going to Mark's club and getting that twice a week? How much faster do you think your business is going to grow?

All right, that's why I brought him up here. I wanted you to see a little bit of that potential of what's coming with the club levels. The reason that ties into me speaking about traffic is because that's all you need to focus on with the club level coaches that are in place. Your new people that you brought in that are going to be your customers, and the people that you bring in, have the support to continue moving through the process and build the business that they want to build, because we've got the team in place to help them do that.

You guys are gonna learn a lot more about the club levels, about the coaches, during this event. You want to pay attention. But this allows you to put your focus on traffic and on the other pieces in your business, which again you will learn more about on VIP day.

The other reason I wanted to bring him up here was, I've got a few other emails to go through to share with you about how I am doing, and so I came up with a couple of ideas that I wanted to share. But for now, I'm just going to invite you to share it with us. Okay, so for the last thing that I'll share, I'm gonna wrap up here and turn it over to Rob. No, not that one, in one of these windows.

All right, you may have seen this kind of scrolling around on the screen a bit. There's a bunch of different ways you can get traffic. The cool thing about this is I promise you there is something for everybody on it. Who would like access to this? And I'm going to ask you to promise me two things, and I'll send it to you in an email. Number one, does that mean, I hope you guys don't trust me now, I've seen so many people that don't trust me, like me already agreeing.

Okay. Last thing, I'll put that out there again.

Make sure you are here Sunday for VIP day. I will show you how you can invest 30 minutes of your time, one time, and every blog post that you hit publish on after that, you can get in front of at least 100,000 people. So if you are not VIP or all in yet, now is a great time to do that.
