Why Watching Alone Never Builds the Business (And What Actually Does)
You’ve watched the replay. You’ve read the notes. You’ve told yourself that if you just study hard enough from your kitchen table, you’ll build this thing on your own timeline, on your own terms, without ever getting on a plane. And for a while that plan holds together. Then the first real setback hits, a slow month, a system change, a rough week, and there’s nobody in the room who remembers why you started. That’s the moment most home-built businesses quietly stall out, and it isn’t a motivation problem. It’s a structure problem.
Why do breakthroughs happen at events and almost nowhere else?
People don’t join a business and immediately act like they belong to it. They join the way they’d buy a pair of shoes: on impulse, off a good offer, with a countdown timer running. The commitment comes later, if it comes at all, and it comes from a specific place. Ask any leader in this industry where their real turning point happened, and the answer is almost never that they watched a video alone at home. It’s a room. A specific weekend. A specific conversation with someone they’d only known as a name on a screen.
There’s a reason for that, and it’s not mystical. Meeting the people you’ve been watching from a distance does something to your sense of what’s possible. You stop seeing them as smarter or luckier than you and start seeing them as ordinary people who made a decision and stuck with it. That single shift, from admiring someone’s results to believing you can produce your own, is what actually changes behavior. It doesn’t show up in a training module. It shows up in a hallway, at a dinner table, in a conversation that runs an hour longer than it should have.
What keeps people in when the business stops feeling exciting?
Every business goes through stretches where nothing is going great. New members show up easily when momentum is obvious, but momentum isn’t constant, and when it dips, something has to hold people in place besides the promise of a check. That something is relationship, not motivation, not a slicker funnel, not a better script. People you know, people who know your name, people who’d notice if you disappeared.
So community, therefore, is the key to residual income. Without community, there’s no residual income.
That’s not a soft point tacked onto the business case. It’s the business case. A grinder can produce alone for a while, chasing one result after another with no support underneath it, but that income dies the moment the grinder stops grinding. Residual income, the kind that keeps paying while you’re doing something else entirely, only exists where people stayed connected to each other long enough to keep building after the initial spark faded. As it’s put directly from the stage, “Why did Tracy Walker stay in when we had no merchant processing? Relationship, right?” People don’t survive a company’s worst stretch because the compensation plan impressed them. They survive it because somebody they trusted was still standing next to them.
This is where a lot of solo builders get the sequence backwards. They think if they just get good enough at the mechanics, the relationships will follow naturally. It runs the other way. The relationships come first, from proximity and shared experience, and the mechanics get learned faster once you have people to learn them alongside.
Can you build real community without getting on a plane every quarter?
Not everyone can travel to a live event four times a year, and pretending otherwise just breeds excuses and guilt. But there’s an older model worth borrowing here, one that has nothing to do with internet marketing at all. Fast-growing churches have used it for decades: instead of trying to keep a single room growing indefinitely, they split people into small groups that meet in homes, and once a group reaches a certain size, it divides again and starts multiplying on its own.
Applied to a distributed online business, that same structure becomes something simple: a handful of people in the same city gathering to experience an event together instead of alone, one household hosting, a few neighbors and teammates in folding chairs, watching, talking, arguing about what they just saw. It costs nothing but a living room and a willingness to invite people over.
Here’s what that actually solves. A person watching completely alone has no one to process the experience with, no one to hold them accountable to what they said they’d do differently on Monday. A small group watching together turns a passive video into a shared decision. They can:
- Talk through what applies to their specific situation right after seeing it, while it’s still fresh
- Hold each other to the action items instead of letting them evaporate by the following week
- Build the kind of local relationship that survives a slow month, because they’ve actually sat across from each other
- Bring in people who’d never fly to a big event but will absolutely show up to a friend’s house
None of that requires a big room or a plane ticket. It requires deciding that the people around you matter enough to organize five folding chairs and a laptop.
So what’s actually being built here?
Not just a bigger audience. A different kind of company, one where the connective tissue between members is strong enough to survive the inevitable rough patches that every business, online or off, eventually hits. A grinder mindset produces income that disappears the second the grinding stops. A community mindset produces something that keeps compounding because other people are invested in it too, not just financially, but personally. That’s the actual difference between a business that outlasts a bad quarter and one that doesn’t.

It's time for the big thing. You guys ready for that? Alright, so without any further ado, they need no introduction Give it up for Mr. David Wood and Chris Jones So I found him finally he got out of the shower, he's good Smells good.
Yeah, they they came up to my room and they're like we move the time back. I was like I can't be early La Vida Yeah, you go into his room it's funny you go in this room and you see all these empty Red Bull cans and he's like this I'm like, how is that possible? Staying up all night Yeah, yeah, he's one of the hardest-working Owners that I have met in companies. I know sometimes you don't hear from him, but he's always behind the scenes last night You were working with what?
Tracy's team or what was it? Yeah. Yeah, I was hanging out with Tracy He's team for like two or three in the morning That's awesome guys See he was doing that. I was actually at the bar having a beer with rashkins We're working yeah, yeah, yeah, who here's got a lot of value from this event raise your hand How are you guys starting to get pumped up?
Who in here is pumped up say aye? When here's pumped up say aye me too Me too We got some cool stuff for you here today and so What what we want to talk about right now is we want to talk about? The vision here stretched out over the next two event cycles over the next six months. Okay We've talked over the last couple of days a lot About you know project Titan, you know, I was talking about vision tonight We're actually gonna be releasing and and showing you actually in about an hour and a half.
We're gonna be breaking down the comp plan How our team building systems working all that stuff. We've got some incredible training for you tomorrow And all this is going somewhere it's to set something up and what it's there set up is Us stepping into a future where we're filling rooms of five and ten and fifteen thousand people In the next year year and a half and we can do it Well, and so what we're gonna do here is some stuff that's a little bit different and It's gonna get you guys excited who here likes trying new things raise your hand say aye.
Oh, come on who here likes changing? Right, right, right. That's what I thought. You know, I was just talking to Aaron in the back, and we were talking about where we're going and everything having a reason and purpose now for everything that we do.
And sometimes you might not understand it or the reasons why we do it, but as I always say, and I said it this weekend, it's all about progress, right? Progress in your business, progress in your life, doesn't matter. Nobody likes going backward. Anybody like going backwards?
No. But it's okay to take baby steps, and it's okay to run, and it's okay to fly, right? This is a guy who listens to Superman all day long on his headset. He'll be laying in the back listening to Superman because we want to fly to where our goal is.
And sometimes we have to take baby steps to be able to take that big jump, and what we're going to talk to you about tonight is that big jump, all right? So there's a couple things that we're going to be laying out over the next few hours, but right now we're going to talk about the ultimate goal of the day, the event strategy for the next few months, and particularly what we're going to do the next event. Who in here was involved in Empower Network back in 2012? Raise your hands if you were involved back then.
We got a handful of you. Give yourselves a hand. You're still here, right? Some of you guys remember back in early, I think it was June time, we sold it, and then we actually did it, I think, around September.
We had a course that was called the Master's Course that we sold for a long time. I think it still offers a bonus in one of the funnels. But that was filmed in June, and we sold it in September. We had an exotic retreat in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Who in here was actually at that retreat? I want to see. Mike? One.
No, we've got more than that. You were there? We've got a handful of them, right? We ended up doing, I think, what?
We ended up doing $30 million in sales on that product, I think, over a while. But it was a unique experience because what we got a chance to do is to really form a different kind of a bond with a handful of people. And so we've been talking about what can we do to really, uh, build some tight relationships and really do something unique with the leaders. And we've been having a lot of requests to do leadership retreats, uh, and things like this.
Okay? And so we decided to do something totally different. Okay? And that is this January, we're going to be doing a retreat for the Golds, Platinums, and Diamonds in an undisclosed exotic location.
Okay? We're calling it the Masters of Marketing Summit. All right? And, uh…
It's really going to be something special and something unique. But we know, obviously, right? Not everybody is going to be able to attend that live. And so we're doing something just a little bit different for all of the community and power network that I think is going to grow like a fire all over the world.
So… Yeah, this is something that's going to really echo where we're going. It's going to start the momentum of where we're going and how Titan's going to work and operate and how the products are going to be explained and all these things. And, you know, this exotic retreat is, you know, we, all of you, want to be a leader, want to be on this stage.
Right? You want to be up here telling your story, all of you guys? Do you want to be on a yacht with other like-minded people? Do you want to be in a mansion sitting next to another millionaire having a conversation?
Do you want to be that millionaire? Of course you do. So, one thing we wanted to do before the release of Titan is have a summit, which we call the Masters of Marketing Summit because we want to allow you to be an over-the-shoulder person looking at how Alex places his ads, what he does, where he goes, follow him, and actually see him do what he's doing in an intimate environment because this is going to really help the momentum. It's going to be fun.
It's going to be about building relationships. People now can use the new system. You'll learn about the comp plan and be able to earn your way to get there. But this is what's going to really get us to that next event where Titan is going to be released, where you'll have 5,000, 6,000 people in the room.
But it's all about relationships. That's what we're talking about this weekend are these relationships, okay? And so, coming to this event, it's going to be, we're going to have special guests there. You're going to be able to be hands-on, learning, feeling, touching Titan, finding out what it is, meet some of the people behind the scenes of this project.
So, it's kind of like how the Masters course was when you first started. It was really the ignition that Empower had. Well, yeah, we got the leaders together and we just basically said, you know, what are you doing, right? Because it was interesting, when I started Empower Network, I mean, I think it's the most funny thing ever.
I'd never done a paid ad. Well, no, I'd placed one solo ad and made no money. And so, I'd like only done blogging. And that's it, right?
And so, I start this blogging company because that's all that I had done. And then, we pull people together. We're like, what do you do? And it was like, they did like everything else and most of it I had never even heard of.
You know what I mean? We had people making $30,000 and $50,000 a month doing socials. Doing solo ads, doing postcards, you know, like doing phone strategies and voice broadcasting and calling leads. I mean, everything.
I'd never even heard of half this stuff. I was like, how does that even work? You know? But getting those strategies together and putting people's heads together really created a powerful, powerful mastermind group that propelled us to the next level.
All right? And so, here's the first thing that I want to do. All right? As I want all of you guys to relax, because I know what you're thinking.
You're thinking, I don't know if I could afford to go. Right? You can't buy your way in. All right?
You can't buy it anyways. So relax. All right? Because this is a leadership trait that you have to earn your way in.
But here's what we're doing for the rest of you. We had this idea. We were talking about it. We were like, we want to create that intimate environment, but what if we could do it in a way where everyone around the world could participate, could experience it from the comfort of their own mind?
So we're doing a retreat for the leaders that you have to earn your way in. I'm going to talk about that in just a second. But what we're going to do for all of the greater community is we're going to do a kick-ass, really high-produced, lifestyle video streaming broadcast, right, from an exotic location where you're going to be able to be literally looking over the shoulders as people are doing things that are building their business and getting them results that are extraordinary. Who knows?
Who in here wants to look over the shoulders and see how people get results? Come on. Who in here wants to do that? Say aye.
It's only $10,000. I'm joking, right? I'm joking, right? So in any case, I'm not joking.
Right? So in any case, that was the first thing as we were talking about this with Mars. He brought it up as an idea. He said, you know, I really think that if we took this live streaming broadcast technology we had and we did something exotic, we could do something special for people.
And then all of a sudden I had this, this idea pop into my head because the thing I don't want to do is I really, what I really love about the events more than anything, actually, like for me, I enjoy speaking and I enjoy not speaking. I enjoy sitting back and watching other people speak. I enjoy connecting. The thing I really like about it, the thing I love about it is the community.
You know what I mean? It's like people are having parties and they're hanging out and they're having dinners together. They're building relationships. They're getting to know each other, right?
And that community aspect of what we do, is really what, it's really what builds our company and makes us different from all the other things on the internet. Who knows that? Who knows that the community is my manager? Say aye.
Say aye. All right. So we want to be able to build community, right? And so I had this idea come into my head where we're going to have a system where basically the people who are out watching the live stream all over the place, we're going to have people hosting groups in their home that you'll be able to go and kind of have fellowship with other people who are at Empower Network, but all over the United States, all over Canada, all over Europe, all over the world.
Who thinks that's an exciting idea? I don't know if you explained it very well. I don't know if you explained it very well. Let me help you out here.
We're going to have a bunch of Super Bowl parties. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was a better way. This is our Super Bowl.
I work in my language. We want to have… I've never seen a Super Bowl. There we go.
Right? We want to have those of you that can't make that have people in your living room. Maybe you have four or five people. Maybe you go to a state across or you go a couple states away, different country, wherever you want to go with people that you like who you meet here at this event so you can go there and say, hey, did you just see what they did?
Let's try that now. And so you can open up your laptops and do that because this isn't just some people on stage. You're actually going to be seeing specifically how people do certain things and you're going to be hearing and getting insight on Titan so you can actually apply yourself and figure out what we're doing and see it. So the reason why we're doing the meetings, right, and having, not meetings, but Super Bowl parties as we call them, is because it's the cultural piece that we want to build because come Titan, the technology and the products are going to be in every living room.
So this is a way for us to start sharing that and learning that and there's no better time in the company's history than to do it now because come Titan, that spring event, that is going to be probably one of the largest events in company history. And so this is just a really great time for us to do this and heck, go somewhere warm. I'm from Minnesota. January isn't so pleasant.
So, and I know some of you as well. So I think that's really a great time to really build those relationships. So I'm going to talk real briefly about kind of what we're doing, what it is, how you qualify to go. All right.
And then we're going to show you where you can get early bird access to your tickets. Okay. And before you're thinking, well, I'm going to see if I can qualify and then buy my tickets later. They'll be more expensive and you can't qualify unless you buy your tickets.
And so you kind of have to buy it to participate in the contest to get there. So there's none of this lack thinking that you can have. And so I want to talk about that. But first, let me talk about kind of more so what we're doing.
Golds, platinums, and diamonds, people who qualify by the end of December. And I'm going to talk in the next section about really how to get to gold, platinum, and diamond and what that means. Okay. They're going to go for free.
Right. And the higher the rank is, the, the, the better they're going to be treated. The more perks. Yeah.
Diamonds will be flown out first class, be given executive suites, things like this. All right. And really what we're doing is we're doing a mastermind with the leadership, with the golds, with the platinums, with the diamonds, with people that are six-figure, seven-figure earners. And we're doing a mastermind really to get the strategies that they're using to build teams, to create incomes, and really teach them to everybody else.
I mean, this is something where if we charge for it, right, we could charge $10,000 a person to attend that just to watch it. We could. And it's something that we could like easily charge that for. We could sell 100 seats like this because people want to know how to do that.
They would pay for it. Right. But that's not what we wanted to do. What we wanted to do is number one, allow you to attend by earning your way in live and in person.
Okay. Number two, no matter where you are in the world, we want to give you those strategies and we want you to just be able to take them, build your business with them, run with them, take people that you're working with, take people who are watching with you in your local community and explode your business and hit gold, platinum and diamond. And I believe that what we're doing combined with this and the next event is going to drive the growth that's going to create 30 to 50 diamonds in Empower Network in 2016. Right.
I believe it'll do it. I see it. And I think that all of you participating is going to be a big part of that. Who's excited about creating tons of growth in 2016?
Okay. Okay. Okay. So here's basically what you're going to need to do.
I don't know when they're going to put this up but we're going to have a discount for you guys for I believe the next 30 minutes is what I told them but I don't know if they have the countdown timer where you're going to be able to get the live stream tickets for 97 bucks. Okay. And I think after 30 minutes they're increasing to $127. You have to buy them to participate in the contest to qualify to actually go.
Now here's what we're going to qualify to actually go to the retreat and we're going to have more information up about it on the website here in the next week. What we're doing in order for you guys to qualify for the retreat is we're doing a competition for the top 50. Okay. And by the top 50 here's what I mean.
It's going to be based on new members and sales of the live stream. That's it. That make sense to everybody in here? Okay.
So you're going to get points for new members, points for signing somebody up on a trial, points for signing somebody up on a lot to premium points for signing a new member up and empower and you're going to get points when one of your members buys tickets to watch the live stream. Okay. And whoever the top 50 is, they get free access. They get to go.
We have some special prizes for people that are in the top five and top 10. All right. And you get to go live in person with us and participate in that mastermind who in here would like to win a chance to participate in that mastermind life. Come on.
Who in here would like to win a chance to participate in that mastermind life? All right. It's going to be for the top 50. All right.
So as you can see, there's 28 minutes and 48 seconds. And I believe where if you could raise your hand where people can go to order the tickets to attend live in the back. Is it in the back or is it outside? Where are the tables for that?
I don't actually know where our sales. So the person back here, huh? Yeah, it's in the masters of marketing summit.com. You can also buy it there.
So there's a website. If you guys could actually put that link up on there. I have no idea. Somebody would have to tell me that.
But masters of marketing summit.com. There's a link right there that they'll also put underneath the clock or masters of marketing summit.com. Yeah. So that's basically it.
Right. And I want to talk a little bit more about strategy for that. Can you guys have somebody bring me up a whiteboard here like in the next couple of minutes? And what I'd also like to do is I'd like to I'm going to get into a little bit of Q&A in a couple minutes.
Yeah, but bring a whiteboard up and just put it on the stage when you're ready. All right. So we got a table over there. Is there any other tables or is that the only one right there?
Well, there's one right there. So you guys can buy your tickets back there. You can go to masters of marketing summit.com and for 27 minutes more tickets are 97 bucks. Then they're increasing to $127.
I also want to let you guys know that even though it's called masters of marketing and the focus is marketing because that's honestly how you build your business, right? It's how many eyeballs you have on your website. We know that's how you grow this. But a big part of this event is to give those of you that do attend an intimate look and experience with Titan before we actually launch it.
So it's a unique, we couldn't do that with a thousand, 2000 people in a room. So that's why we're keeping it to 50 so you can get your hands on. You get to see it. You have to sign an NDA so you can't say anything until the launch.
But we want, that's the perfect opportunity for us then to get you some hands on with what we're doing to find out what it is. And obviously on the live stream, you'll be able to see certain pieces of that. But the live stream is really going to give you an advantage because of just how it's going to be produced. I was talking to Mars about this last week and he's talking about, I mean, Hollywood style creative ways of doing this because there's something to be said for actually seeing someone going out there, building their business, seeing their results so you can actually sit there and do it at the same time.
And so it's more like a tutorial type summit where you can say, all right, I want to learn Instagram. I want to learn this. And that's where you're going to get that information from the best of the best and then be able to translate that into your business. So one of the one, it's going to be a fun retreat.
We're going to have a lot of fun. That was one thing that, you know, I was very adamant about to these guys is like, hey, we got to have some fun at this. We got to go out on a yacht. We got to go do some really fun things together because that's why we work so hard.
Right? I mean, it's one thing to learn, right? Sitting in class can get very boring and monotonous. But hey, what do we do when we're not working?
Right? It's those times that are really important and that's what builds this culture. And I'm telling you, you're going to see this from event to event now and you're going to see these experiential things, especially when you see the technology we're going to be releasing. But if you have the means, make sure you get those live streams.
Get them. You can also get them on the website, mastersofmarketingsummit.com and prepare yourself for that. How much time is left on the clock before the price increase? If you could just kind of flip back and forth between that.
Yeah, we got 25 minutes left. $97, mastersofmarketingsummit.com. What I want to briefly cover is, by the way, scream out if you've got your tickets already. All right, got a handful.
Got a handful. It's good. Here's what I want to cover real briefly is I want to cover what events do and the strategy behind what we're doing and how we're going to use it to create growth and feed into our next major event where we're all gathered here together. All right?
So I'm going to cover that really quick because there's a couple of pieces to it that I think are really important. First piece is understanding how events work, right, and why events are important for building your business. And I think that a lot of you guys got it when you came here this weekend. Who in here understands better now after a coming here why events are important?
Raise your hand. Say aye. Aye. Come on, raise your hand and say aye if you understand a little.
Aye. That wasn't enthusiastic. Raise your hand again. Aye.
All right, good, good, good. So events are important because of this, right, because when you get involved in Empower Network, usually people aren't really that committed to it when they start. They're excited and they're making a spontaneous decision from a sales video with a countdown timer on it with a good offer. It's like buying a pair of shoes for them.
Really. You know what I mean? And people never are going to make a lot of money in this business until it moves from something they bought to something that's inside their heart, to something that's a part of their vision, to something that they want to do, right? They never are really going to take off until that happens, right?
Now, where does that happen at? Where? Where? It happens at events, and that's pretty much the only place.
In fact, if you go through and you talk to the leaders and you just ask them, where did you have your breakthrough, 95% of them are going to tell you at an event, and the other ones are going to tell you at something that happened as a result from the event. Is that true, Kevin? Yeah, it's true, right? So if you don't get people to your events, your people won't have breakthroughs.
If your people don't have breakthroughs, your people won't make money, and if they don't make money, you're going to stay stuck, and you're not grinding, just producing, and never growing a big organization. If you get people to your events who you're bringing in, your people have breakthroughs, your people create personal breakthroughs, and start growing their organization and business. When they grow their business, your income goes up. That make sense?
Everybody in here, say aye. Okay, that was not enthusiastic enough. Say aye. Say aye.
Now! No, I'm just joking. I sounded angry there, right? All right.
So you need there to help people create breakthroughs, right? And so we do these every 90 days on a cycle. The reason we do it every 90 days is because every 90 days, there's enough new people in Empower Network that need to have that experience to where we do it. The second part of events that's important is, I talked about already, is community.
All right? It's relationships. And this is something that I've learned, right, over a lot of experience. By the way, yell out if you have your tickets already.
All right, a lot of you guys have your tickets. That's good, right? They're $97 for another 22 minutes and 19 seconds. And then the price is increasing to $127.
So in any case, community, relationships. Here's what I've learned. When things are going great, all kinds of people will get involved in your business. But no matter how big you get, no matter how long you're in, things don't go great 100% of the time.
Now, later you learn the bad things were great, but not when you're going through them. You don't know how to think so, right? Later you learn. But when things aren't going great, who stays in?
People you have relationships with, people who are connected in the community. That's it. Right? Why did a lot of leaders stay in power when we had problems?
Relationships. Why did Tracy Walker stay in when we had no merchant processing? Relationship, right? Why did a lot of you stay in when you've had harder times?
Relationships. Relationships. Relationships. Relationships.
Sticks people together and keeps people involved when they're not succeeding yet. Their connection, their relationship, the community, their involvement in it. So community, therefore, is the key to residual income. Without community, there's no residual income.
And if you don't want to do it, and if you don't want to be a part of a community, right, or build one, you're not going to have a residual income. You're going to have a grinder income if you can learn to produce. And that's it. Does that make sense to everybody in here?
Okay. Who in here has got your tickets now? Yell out. Okay, awesome.
We've got more people buying their tickets. By the way, table's back there, and you've got 20 minutes and 40 seconds left. So we do this every 90 days in a 90-day cycle, right? But what we wanted to do is we wanted to do something where we could reach in to more people.
Part of it's experimental, and then part of it's not. And we also wanted to do something where we could really build some relationships with our top leaders and give you guys a chance to have a lifestyle experience that we could make marketing material, you can show it off, you can look over the shoulder of people like Michael Martin or Silvio, you could ask Aaron Raskin questions and have a drink with him late at night, you could build relationships with people like Tracy Walker, people like Lawrence Tam, myself, Chris Jones, and you could really get inside of our minds if you can attend and if you could earn your way there.
All right? We want to give you that opportunity to really build a closer relationship and a smaller group environment. That's exciting, isn't it? Right?
And anybody here could do that, right? So here's the second thing, though, is I was in a, I was in a I was in England for a while, and I was just telling this story actually to them backstage. There was this church that was growing really fast, and like growing a church in England is like growing a church in like New York City or something. It's just, you know, it's not like South Africa, you know, where people just believe in whatever and have weird experiences all the time.
But this church like grew real fast and put like 10,000 people in rooms. Well, they did it by doing something called a cell group where they had this system of people splitting off into these really tiny groups of people every week meeting in homes that when they got to eight people, they divided into two groups, and then they'd grow those groups to eight people and divide into two groups, and it worked really well. What we have the ability to do is rather than having one event, to have all of us who are watching and experiencing this all over the world, right, connecting with five or six or eight or 10 or 15 other people that are in Empower Network in your city or in a couple cities close to you, and experiencing the event together, going to dinner together, getting to know each other, learning how to build together, right, as you're experiencing it.
So even the people that are watching virtually that don't win in the top 50, that's a pretty cool experience to be able to connect with people local in your community. Who would like to do that? Say aye. Aye.
Right? So you guys excited about that? Yeah. All right, so we got 18 minutes left to get your event tickets, mastersofmarketingsummit.com, and over to you.
I have some more things to say. I'm letting you do your thing. This is good. You know, actually, I do want to say one thing, and, you know, this is a really good opportunity for all of you, because we're in this stage now where we're multiplying growth, and we're going to look, if you think about it, a year from now, okay, and there's 5,000 people at events, and we have another retreat, and so you have to earn your way, and even if we say the top 100 can go, it's going to be very competitive, very competitive, whereas right now, all, everyone in this room, everyone back home watching livestream, you all have the same chance to starting today.
It's everybody next to you. Everybody has an equal chance to be there, and over as we grow, these things are going to be more competitive, because it's going to be more people, and so it's really a good opportunity for you guys to go home and take what you learned here when we explained the comp plan and how to use this thing, to use this vehicle, and just go, because you're going to want to be there. You're going to want to say that you were at the first one, so. My biggest breakthrough, well, my first really big breakthrough that I have, this is after I was making money on the internet, so it's not, I had a breakthrough at home before this, okay, but it was actually attending an event, and it wasn't from anything anybody said there, truthfully.
You know, I attended an event, it had, I think, 100 people there, or something like that, you know. It was meeting the people that I thought were these, like, super geniuses, you know, from their videos, and I met them, and it was like, my brain was just saying, you know, that guy's pretty smart, but he's not better than me. You know what I mean? That was just a massive breakthrough for me, and when I got there, I realized that I could do what they're doing, right?
My whole belief about what was possible just changed and shifted in an instant, right? And I started to act like I was the leaders because I met them, and I did feel like I was like them, right? Like, I think I even met Tracy Walker at that very first event, you know, that I went to. I can't remember.
I think I met you, yeah. Well, I met you when we made that DVD. Yeah, that DVD, with the great testimonials and hour of boring nonsense, right, that we made. We did a good job on the testimonials, right?
And so, I just think that the ability to build relationships, guys, and be here is the breakthrough that a lot of you need. Get in a chance to meet Laurence Tam, get in a chance to meet here with your local team breakouts, but this is an opportunity to grow our community on a massive scale. Because I wanted to do something where we could get, if we really push at the next event, probably about 2,000 people there, okay? That would be what I would guess, 1,500, 2,000 people.
And I think that's But with this model where you guys can do this, we can have the people in Portugal watching, right? We can have the people in Europe watching. We could have people in Canada watching. We could have people that can't travel to the events watching in groups, building relationships and community.
And that can grow like a fire and be in 1,000 homes with five people all at the same time. And if we do that, I could see that clear as day being a gateway to bringing directly 5,000 people to the next event in the next year. And I think that's going to be a great in the fall next year. And I believe that we could do that, right?
But you guys got to buy into the strategy. Who here is bought in is going to trust me? Come on. Who here is going to trust me?
Who here is going to decide to trust me? All right, all right. We got a couple of you. But you know we need to See, this is how you build community across the world when, yeah, they're doing it, right?
Does it work? Yeah, it works, right? And a lot of people, they don't come to the events because it's difficult to travel or because they don't because they can't afford it or because they can't afford a plane ticket. They can't afford a ticket, but they struggle coming up with the finances.
And it is an excuse. We all know that, right? But that doesn't stop people from making the excuse when they're newer, right? They got to learn their way out of that behavior.
So this is a way for them to get into an environment where they can have an event experience. And I'm going to tell you what it's going to do to people, right? And here's why it's important for us all to buy in together. By the way, there's 13 minutes left.
Price is increasing from $97 to $127. Here's why it's important for us all to all do this together, all right? Is because you are going to be experiencing not just an event. You're going to be experiencing a lifestyle experience.
Okay? You're going to be seeing what it's like to live like the leaders can live. You'll be looking into the experience of living on the beaches of the world. We're going to take this to another level, right?
And you'll get to see it. You'll get to experience it. You'll be able to get a part of it. And here's what's going to happen.
Those people that are watching together, if you're watching with the community people, which we're going to encourage you to do, we'll talk about later, they're going to be seeing it, and they're going to say, oh, I'm going to be at the next one of these. Right? Because isn't that why we're in? Lifestyle, the dream, right?
Can I please clarify pricing? Yeah, it's like $97. They're asking me to clarify. I love how they ask it.
Do you read the question? Yeah, the pricing, the pricing, this is for a live stream ticket to watch, and you have to get that to participate in the contest at any level. It's $97, okay? And the price is increasing to $127 in like 12 minutes.
Over to you. You guys, it's interesting because Who in here has got your ticket, by the way? Yell out. That's almost everybody.
You're going to see this evolve, and people are going to ask, well, why now? Why are you doing this now? Well, you know, everything is growing, but there's not a better time because later on, imagine doing this when you have a room full of people at your house, you're having fun, you're watching this live stream, but you actually get to interact with something. Like, you actually have the physical product there that you get to experience with your friends and your colleagues, and you're having fun with it, and you're saying, did you see how cool that was?
Did you see how that worked? Let's do this. Let's send this to this person. So all of a sudden, you may not see it now, but when you start doing these, and you actually have something that's experiential and that has never been done, it becomes something that is very exciting, and I'm going to tell you, your neighbors are going to want to see it, your friends are going to want to do it, and so it's really preparing ourselves for the future, and, you know, Dave mentioned something really important.
I want to mention this to you. I was going to say it earlier, and I forgot, but, you know, I've been to a lot of events, obviously ours, but I've been to a lot of company events, and, you know, sometimes you think, you say, you know, you look at the guy next to you, and you talk to him, you say, wow, that's a smart guy, you know, he's got a master's degree, he was an engineer, this guy is going to be successful. That's the kind of guy that's going to make it in this business, and you know what? He doesn't make it, but the guy on the other side of you can't speak English, has no teeth, right, smells, right, he's the one that goes diamond, right, so sometimes you think that, and you have to realize Steve Jobs said something very, very important, and he said that, you know, you realize greatness, you realize, when you realize the things that we use all around us are created by people no smarter than you.
Do you guys believe that? Do you guys believe that? All right, as long as you believe that, you can accomplish anything, it doesn't matter what kind of piece of paper you have, your education, how technical you are, it doesn't matter, all right, and that's why these events are important, because you're going to meet somebody, someone right next to you, right now, I guarantee it, is the next diamond in this company. Somebody in this room next to you, you don't know who they are, how many of you is you?
Absolutely, if you believe it, you can do it, and that's why these are so important, and just like Dave said, events are everything, everything. Who in here won't raise your hand because we're selling something? That was funny, it's like, it's like if we're not selling an event ticket, like everybody's like, yeah, me, me, me, me, me, but if we're like, by the way, you got to do something, you're like, guess what that's called? That's called not being a leader.
Who in here is excited? A little bit more, a little bit more. Who in here is excited? Who in here won't raise your hand no matter what I say?
Yeah, you guys are awesome, I just think it's funny, that's all. There's no purpose in that. That's good. So we got 10 minutes left, price is increasing, this will be your last chance to get them for $97, they won't decrease later on at another point in time, and you do need to get them for $97, you need to get them to participate in the contest, and also you need to get them obviously to see the live stream, so.
I'm sorry, somebody asked something? You got it? Who else got their tickets? Yell out.
Awesome, more and more people. I can't wait to see. You get them over there, back there. When you guys see the leaderboard and you're going to start to see people really popping up on that thing, it's going to be a lot of fun, because there's 50 spots, and everybody's going to be fighting their way to get there, and like I said, everybody has the same chance to get their chance.
You know, obviously when you move up in the ranks, you're going to get more perks, so if you're a gold, platinum, diamond, you know, there's going to be some fun perks. And this is, guys, this is a bad attitude to think you can't win a contest, too, truthfully, all right, because you actually don't know. When I got on the internet, I was like the last person you could imagine in the world winning a contest in a big community. I actually joined a pretty big community, not nearly as big as this one, but I joined, and I wasn't even paying attention, and didn't even know there was a contest, but was just busy doing my own thing.
I was just producing my own results, and I just got lost in production and lost in the work and lost in my vision and lost in serving people and doing webinars and hangouts and conference calls, and I won a BMW. You know what I mean? Like, I wasn't even trying to win. There's all these people, like, fighting to win this car, and I didn't even know I was winning, and I wasn't even paying attention, and I won this, like, BMW, and I actually just ended up having them pay me cash because I'd moved to Costa Rica, and it's dangerous to have a BMW.
You know what I mean? So I just took the money, but isn't that cool? I won, and I was, guys, that was from being homeless and just starting to get to work, right, and getting focused in my vision and focused in my dream and having a passion and a heart and making a decision, and I'll tell you what leaders do when something like this is presented is they take action immediately. They run back to the table, and they buy their tickets.
They make sure to get them immediately so they can tell their team, I'm going to I got that the second it came out. Why? Because leaders realize that they need their team to be a part of a community, and they need their team to have a part of the breakthrough experiences because you can't do it all by yourself. You know, when I got started, I used to just get my whole team plugged into the conference calls of this other person, all of them, because I just didn't want to create those results for people.
I couldn't do it. I didn't have the credibility. I wasn't making a million dollars a year, so I'd just grip my team members, and I'd say, get to this event. Get on this conference.
Listen to this other person. I just got out of the way, and that strategy got me all the way up to making $30,000 a month in 90 days and stuff that was way more difficult to sell than Power Network is to sell, but to do that, you've got to plug into the bigger picture. You've got to plug into the events. You've got to plug into the things that we're doing.
You've got to make a decision like leaders make, and as we can see, there's a lot of people making their decisions back at the tables there. Everybody give those people a hand for making decisions they should make, right? It's in an undisclosed location. We're not going to give it away, but it's not Minnesota.
We're not going to have anybody sneaking in there. It's not Minnesota in January. Well, they're just going. Gold, platinum, and diamonds are, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They're just qualifying to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. 50 that are not gold, platinum, and diamond get to qualify to go by sales, new members, and event tickets. Okay?
Yep. Yeah, well, we're not going to have a physical event in January. This is going to be an event. This is an event that we're doing a different strategy for.
We're having a lot. The goal is, my goal, I want to have 1,000 homes with five people in them around the world gathering rather than having 5,000 people in January because that's a lot easier for us to do, but we have to have a vision for that, and we have to be able to see it because if we do that, we could get 5,000 people in the same room next fall, and if you miss the opportunity to promote this, you won't be making that big money from getting that big room there in the fall. I'll tell you that. I'll tell you that.
And that's just how it is. You understand that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It starts with the little action that you take now.
There's five minutes and 30 seconds left. You can now purchase multiple live stream tickets in your back office, and everybody, you need a ticket to be able to qualify to attend, okay? So there's, and we did that so nobody would say, well, I'll buy it later, you know, if I don't qualify, and make another excuse to not buy. So, you know, pressure.
I'm sorry? Is there any end of January? Do you have the dates? Huh?
Yes. No, there's going to be an event in the spring. That is going to be the launch of Titan. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So what we're doing here is we're taking this, we'll be showing off Titan in the live stream, right? And the goal is to show people what we're doing on a massive scale all around the world, because it's easier to get people to gather, and we're going to be masterminding with the group there about it, and launching it live in a big event in January, or September, September. September, is it? No, no, no, the next event.
Oh, the next event. It's fall. Yeah, April. Yep.
Four minutes and 30 seconds left. Price increases from $97 to $127. Huh? I don't know.
End of January. Can you guys post up the dates for the event real quick? I don't want to say the wrong date, so I'm going to let them do it. We haven't sent out any email early in the week.
I'm the two-week guy here, so I don't want to say any kind of number. I mean, it's sometime in January, you know what I mean? It's like asking me what time the event starts. I don't even know what hotel we're in.
I actually did know the other day. I think we're in the Swan Hotel, but I'm not entirely sure. Oh, the New Year, yeah. Yeah, that's a good idea.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, good idea. Super Bowl parties and New Year's parties. That's good. We've got three minutes and 14 seconds left.
Yell out if you've got your tickets. Give everybody a hand who's at the tables, guys. If you haven't got your tickets and you need to get up, get up and go to a table now. Any other questions from the leaders?
How many of you have been to? I've been to like a leadership retreat before. I know the leaders, but you guys have been to a leadership retreats. There's something to be said for, you know, going to an event like this.
It's the reason we wanted to do this. We've been wanting to do it. We just had to wait for the right time. And like I said, everything is progress, right?
But as you guys know that raised your hand, it's the leadership retreats. I think, Tracy, you'd agree with this, that it's really where we gain the biggest relationships. Would you agree? Like some of the largest, really intimate relationships, because sometimes at the big events, like I don't have enough time to shake all of your hands or speak with you, but now we can actually get people in smaller groups to spend that time.
And that's why the living room model works so well, is to have people in five or six or ten people in a living room, or maybe more, to be able to start building that support system and create that culture. So that's what we're doing with this. Any other questions or anything? We've got a big thing coming after this.
The next section? I'm excited for that. Can we just fast forward to that? Well, we could fast forward to that, but we got…
We've got to wait for the time to run out. I've got a lot to say, but later. So, you know, my spiel pretty much ended, like, two years ago when I said, core commitment, attend every event. I don't even feel like I need to say anything, honestly.
If you don't go, you ain't a leader. A minute and 53 seconds left. I think it's funny. I'll just awkwardly stand here, staring quietly.
Can we go ahead and send e-mails to everybody that ordered tickets with all the details? So, whoever ordered a live stream ticket, check your e-mail. I'll go ahead and have everyone get an e-mail with the dates. No location, because you won't find out that yet.
Some details about it, but just keep an eye on your e-mail, guys. There we go. Perfect. Awesome.
A minute and 21 seconds left. I just like confirming this, even though you can see it. I don't know if there's anybody here who's blind or something, so I'm just repeating for their benefit that there's only a minute and 10 seconds left. How many of you are coming to the iPass Black Card and Empower Network party tonight?
How many of you got your outfit, your black with your hat? Yeah? I cannot wait. It's going to be fun.
We always like to have parties here. What? Where is it? Undisclosed location.
48 seconds left. You'll be seeing that later on. You'll see it on the screen. It's not here in the hotel, but you'll see.
It's awesome. I don't think it is. Who in here has got your ticket? Yell out.
If you don't get it, get up now because there's 30 seconds left and the price is going up. I promise you, you're going to get it an hour later. You're just going to want to, and then you're going to have an increased price. Just waiting.
We have something interesting coming up here in a minute. Are they going to break before that? I don't know. They'll tell us, I'm sure.
When we come up and we go through the comp plan, we're going to make history tonight. I'm not even talking about the comp plan. I'm talking about David Wood doing slideshow. Using a PowerPoint.
For the very first time in history, we are breaking ground by Mr. Wood using a slideshow. Okay, I need to know if we're taking like a break here for 30 minutes because the price just went up to 127 and in 30 minutes more it's going up to 147. But we're not going to sit here and talk for another 30 minutes about it.
So I just figured I'd let you guys know it'll increase again in 30 minutes. I think it's break. Yeah, break for 30 minutes. Price increases to 147.
And by the way, just when you're in the hallway, ask people if they've got their ticket and if they haven't, stare at them awkwardly. All right, guys. We'll see you back here after the break. Make sure to check your email within the next day or so.
You'll have all the details for everything. Thank you. Oh, cool. Well, yeah.
But it's not going to be there. We're changing.

It's time for the big thing. You guys ready for that? Alright, so without any further ado, they need no introduction Give it up for Mr. David Wood and Chris Jones So I found him finally he got out of the shower, he's good Smells good. Yeah, they came up to my room and they're like we move the time back.
When here's pumped up say aye me too Me too We got some cool stuff for you here today and so What we want to talk about right now is we want to talk about? The vision here stretched out over the next two event cycles over the next six months.
Okay We've talked over the last couple of days a lot About you know project Titan, you know, I was talking about vision tonight We're actually gonna be releasing and showing you actually in about an hour and a half. We're gonna be breaking down the comp plan How our team building systems working all that stuff. We've got some incredible training for you tomorrow And all this is going somewhere it's to set something up and what it's there set up is Us stepping into a future where we're filling rooms of five and ten and fifteen thousand people In the next year and a half and we can do it Well, and so what we're gonna do here is some stuff that's a little bit different and It's gonna get you guys excited who here likes trying new things raise your hand say aye.
And so we've been talking about what can we do to really, build some tight relationships and really do something unique with the leaders. And we've been having a lot of requests to do leadership retreats, and things like this. Okay?
And so we decided to do something totally different. Okay? And that is this January, we're going to be doing a retreat for the Golds, Platinums, and Diamonds in an undisclosed exotic location. Okay? We're calling it the Masters of Marketing Summit.
All right? And, .. It's really going to be something special and something unique. But we know, obviously, right? Not everybody is going to be able to attend that live.
And so we're doing something just a little bit different for all of the community and power network that I think is going to grow like a fire all over the world. So... Yeah, this is something that's going to really echo where we're going.
We want to have... I've never seen a Super Bowl.
All right.
Okay.
Well, we could fast forward to that, but we got...
