We've got some exciting material for you here today we're going to be talking about one of the things that I think is absolutely fundamental to helping someone change and that is helping people wake up their inner vision. Be honest, have you ever gotten to the point where you thought your dream would die? Raise your hand if that's been there, right? Where you thought that you might never actually achieve what's in your future? Come on, raise your hand.
Or how about this, where you achieve a goal, you climb the mountaintop, you put yourself right on top of Everest, metaphorically speaking, but then you realize you don't got nothing next. Come on, raise your hand if that's been you, right? You achieved your goal but you didn't see past it and you thought this is it. One of the things that I remember hearing about when I was a kid is I remember hearing about astronauts that had spent their entire life preparing for the climb into space. Perhaps they walked on the moon.
Where do you go from there? So they call it like space depression, if I remember right, right? Where they come back from space and say, I have hit the pinnacle of my life. I have reached the climb. Now what?
Just a few years back, I remember a guy came into my office and he had put on some weight. Not a lot of weight, but maybe 30 pounds, right? Enough that it was noticing. Enough that his kids were poking him in the belly, right? Saying, hey dad, you know, you got a little belly there.
And he was feeling self-conscious about it. He'd been a very fit guy, an athlete, like really a super athlete. And he was feeling that he was out of shape. And he says, I just will, I cannot get any motivation to get going. I just, I don't know.
When I look to the future, it just looks dim. That's actually what he said. I can't see anything out there and I just don't see a way out of this. Okay, raise your hand if you've heard something like that. I don't see a way out of my situation.
That is a vision problem. That is a vision problem. And so he needed a way to be able to create a new vision. So I started asking about what had motivated him to exercise in the past. And he had told me that he was someone who is incredibly competitive by nature.
Anybody identify? Raise your hand if you're a little competitive, right? Got a little competitive bone. He says, I'm super competitive. And a few years back, I was, I was gonna be the top guy in the golf tournament, right?
I was gonna win this big golf tournament in the state. And then I won it. He goes, I'm not pro. I don't really want to go pro. But I don't know where else to go now.
I don't, I've hit the pinnacle. I spent literally like ten years training to win this tournament. It was all I could see. It was all that was driving me. It's what got me going into the gym.
And then when I got it, I lost my drive. I lost my drive. Now, in this case, we'll talk about what we did in just a minute to go ahead and help him get his vision back. But you can lose your vision for a lot of reasons. Sometimes you lose your vision because life beats you down.
Life beats you down over and over and over again. You thought you'd be a millionaire by 30. Still not a millionaire. You thought you'd be able to pursue your passion. How many, how many of you in high school were rock stars, right?
Gonna be rock stars when you grew up, okay? How many of you were gonna be like baseball players or football players, right? A professional singer. And then that moment comes when you realize, I don't know how to do this. Or maybe even, I blew it.
I have a, this is a serious topic. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, but I've got a very good friend who made some very bad decisions and ended up landing himself in prison. And when you think your life is going to turn out one way, when you've got goals and dreams and aspirations for the future, and then you, in this case, he did something, he did something dumb, right? Your whole vision gets messed up for the future. But I believe that there is not a person out there who cannot put their life back together.
No matter how dark the night, no matter how deep the well, you can change. Even if you're like this guy and your decisions are bad enough that they land you in prison. So you can do it, but it starts by creating a new vision for where you're going in life. So whether you've lost your dream through poor decision-making, or like my client, he lost, he lost any kind of vision for the future because he achieved everything that he had planned on achieving. It's the Olympic athlete who wins the gold medal, the astronaut who lands on the moon, the business owner who says, I will be a millionaire by age 30, and then he's a millionaire by age 30, and there's nothing behind it.
Or he realizes that goal did not give him what he was really deeply looking for. So the question is, is how do you create vision? How do you create vision for your mind and your heart? What I want to share with you is I want to share with you, not all of, because there's no way that I can share everything I know about vision in a few minutes, but I want to share as much as I can about some of the core ideas to creating vision that you can use to create vision and powerful motivation for your life. At this point I have shared these ideas with thousands of people all over the globe, and I want to distill some of the core learnings so that you can take your life to the next level, but more importantly, so you can wake back up and you can achieve, so that you can have a life of meaning, and so that you can be who you really want to be.
Because if you've ever been in the moment where you can't see a way out, or where your vision has died, this will help wake you back up. And if you've already woken up, if you already have a dream, if you already have a vision, this will help you wake up the people around you. How many of you know someone who needs to wake back up? Raise their hand, right? Their dream's dead.
How about somebody you love? Keep your hand up if it's somebody you love, right? They've gone to sleep, and they need someone to pour a cup of water on their head. No. No, they need somebody to wake them back up, right?
To show them a vision. So if when you're listening, we're going to start with this. How do you identify somebody who doesn't have a vision? Not having a vision comes in phases, right? First thing that you'll hear is you'll hear people say things like, I can't see a way out.
So we're just going to put can't see. I can't see a way out of this. When I hear that, I take that very, very literally. This is what I hear. I can't see a way out, okay?
So if you hear that, that's your first, that's like a big warning sign. So if you ever hear somebody say that, they are like shouting at you, help me find a vision, or at least I don't have one, okay? You may not be to the point where you have permission to help them change, but this is a major, major thing, right? I can't see a way out of this. I just can't see that happening, okay?
When someone says, well, I don't see myself being a millionaire. I don't see myself prospering in my business. I don't see myself ever deserving a loving relationship. They are telling you they can't see. A huge warning sign, right?
Now what's another warning sign? Somebody talks about their vision, somebody talks about their dream, but they give off weird body language doing it, right? So who's, I'm just going to put weird body language, and this isn't a body language course, but their body language is all sideways when they talk about it, right? Yeah, so tell me about your future. Oh, yeah, I see really good things in my future, right?
Okay, what they're probably telling you with their body when they do something, that doesn't have to be the way they do it, right? There could be lots of weirdness. They're like, oh yeah, future's going really good, right? Yeah, my future, whoa, that's really looking good, guys. You know, I'm just really gonna succeed out there, you know, right?
My results are awesome, you know, something like that. So when you see weird body language, it's a sign that the person does not, when they're talking about their future, they're talking about where they're going, it is a sign that they actually aren't very clear on where they're going, okay? The other place where a lack of vision shows up, is it shows up in the way that you hear people talk about the future. So I'm going to say it shows up in the voice tone. So now this could be more than just, I can't see anything kind of like that, right?
I don't know how I'm going to get out of this, that'd be a vision problem too, right? But a voice tone, so what does voice tone sound like? Sounds like a little hesitation. So are you ready to do this? Are you ready to turn your life around?
Yeah, right? Right? I remember talking to a guy a few years back, and he's like, I want, I really want to make more money. I'm like, well how much do you want to make? A million dollars?
Like that's almost exactly what he did, right? And it's like, okay. Okay, can he see it clearly, or does he believe it when he sees it? Because there's, there's a couple parts to vision. There is actually being able to see an image, but then there's being able to see an image in a way that you believe it.
So it is both seeing and believing. Can you see an image in your head? Can you create a vision and not believe it? Raise your hand if you've done that, right? Let's be honest.
Okay, there's a difference between being able to make an image and believe an image. This is actually one of the, one of the problems that I see with a lot of people who are trying to apply ideas from like law of attraction or other types of visualization practices, is that they are visualizing something, but they're actually visualizing it in a way that is generating a state of disbelief. Raise your hand if you've done that. Come on, be honest, right? It's like you're visualizing it, and as you're visualizing it, the emotional state is not, this is mine.
I will have this. This is who I am. But the emotional state that is generated is one of, yeah, it's probably never gonna happen, right? Just for a moment, we're gonna do a little experiment together as a group, and this really has to go with the how-to. So if we're helping somebody else, we're listening for words that they might speak, that might tell us that they don't know how to do it, or they can't see a way, or there's no way out, right?
Or I'm stuck, something like that. We look for weird body language as they're describing it, which tells us they don't believe it. That's, the weird body language and the voice tone is really a statement of belief, right? But which also tells us they might have a vision for the future, but it has conflicting emotions, or it has a lot of doubt, a lot of doubt into it. And if we want to help people create powerful vision, we got to not only help people see, but we got to help people believe.
And it is the ability to breathe light into someone that is the ability that will allow you to prosper in whatever your passion is. If you're teaching people how to knit, and you're like teaching me like the awesomest knitters ever, they have to believe that they can knit. If you're a math teacher and you're looking to teach people math, you got to breathe belief that they can do it, because a lot of people got stories that they can't do math, right? If you are teaching people to change their life, you got to open up their hearts, show them their inner Superman, help them get out there and do something big. So you got to help people believe.
Okay, so it's not just seeing, it's also believing. Okay, it's believing. So let's do a little thought experiment here. Who's up for thought experiment? Raise your hand if you are.
Okay, so here's the thought experiment. I want you to go in your mind here for just a minute, close your eyes, this is a mild eyes closed process, and I want you to think about something that you're really wishing would happen, but probably won't. Okay, think about something you're wishing will happen, but probably won't. And I want you to pay attention to how you're imagining that, not what you're imagining, but how you're imagining it. What are you visualizing, but what are the visual properties?
If it was like a Photoshop program, or if it was a movie editor, what does that movie or image look like? And what is the emotional state that's attached to it? Okay, and what we're going to do is, just for a moment, is we're going to share. I want to hear from two of you, so we can get a feeling for this, but go and open up your eyes. Everybody got something?
Okay, who wants to share? Okay, here we go, in the back. Okay, so tell us in short form, we don't have a long, so just short form, what was the image like, and what was the state that you were generating? Well, I'd like to buy a house, and the picture of the house looks good, but it's not super exciting, because I don't know if I can do it. Right, okay, so you're, it's like, it's not super exciting.
Yeah. What's the image like? Is the image near? Is the image far? Is it bright?
Is it dim? Is it fuzzy? It's not as bright, you know, it's darker. Yeah, it's a dark image, yeah, and anything, is it a small image or a big image? It's a smaller image.
Okay, so you just want to notice, okay, it's not important how the image is, but it's important that he notice exactly how it is in his head, because we're going to compare it here in a minute. So everybody, round of applause for him. All right, thank you for sharing. Okay, let's pass the microphone forward. Go ahead and grab somebody else.
Ah, she took the microphone. Okay, there we go. She's got the mic. So tell us a little bit, what was your image like? It was also very dull, and I just felt that feeling of disbelief.
Okay, you felt a feeling of disbelief. It was a dull image. Does that mean it wasn't bright, or does that mean it was fuzzy? Yeah, the darkness. It was like, there was darkness around it.
Was it near or far? Big or small? It was near enough, it just was dull. It was boring. It was dull and boring, and the emotion, I didn't ask him this, but where was the emotion in your body?
Probably in my heart. Okay, was it like sinking, or was it, you got some emotion on that. What's the emotion? I don't know, I just thought it was disbelief. Disbelief, is that what it looks like?
Yeah, okay. So you've got some disbelief, but is it heavy? Is it light? Is it pressure? Not light.
Not heavy either? Maybe a little. Maybe a little. Pressure? Heat?
No. No? Just... I'm getting heat now. You're getting a little, you're probably a little embarrassed, another emotion.
It's called, I'm on camera. Yeah, okay. You're doing good. Everybody, round of applause for us. You're doing good.
Okay, now it's not important how your image is. It doesn't matter if it's bright or dark. What matters is, what are the properties like? We're after actually like, what is it like in your head? Now some of you are really aware of this, others aren't.
I know in a big broadcast like this, we're gonna get some people like, I don't get any pictures in my head. That's okay, just play along, play along. Other people are gonna get images and they're not super aware of what they are, but if you've got an image, you want to notice, what are the properties like? What are the Photoshop properties like as you're creating that vision? And then what's the emotional impact of that image in your body?
Are you feeling your heart? You feel it in your belly? Is it left in your left pinky toe? But what's it like when you're wishing something? Okay, let's go for, let's go for wanting but not having, and you know you don't have it.
Okay, so wanting but not having. Think about something you want but don't have, and create an image in the mind, and just notice what that's like. Notice what the vision is like, what the image comes about to be, and what the feeling is like in the body. This could be many, many different things. There's no right or wrong answer.
Something you want that you don't have. Open your eyes when you got it. Okay, we're gonna pass, pass the mic right in the back. He goes, oh no, right? This is what we call a chooseteer, right?
A chooseteer. That one there, I actually saw something when you asked it that way. The other time, I didn't see anything. It was basically like a fuzz, and I'm like, okay, can I open my eyes? I'm not seeing anything.
But this one here, it was really strange because when you said I want something, well, the thing I truly want is a lifelong partner that's my best friend, lover, you know, the whole works, and not someone that's going to use me, abuse me, and then eventually use me as a doormat and then take everything on the way out. Sure. And throw you in prison for it. But anyways, that there made me realize that's just like a pie in the sky dream to me. I was like, that's not possible.
What was the image like? Was the image near? Was it far? Was it fuzzy? It was absolutely too close to get a good focus on it.
It's like it was so huge, it's like it was brought right up into my face to where I couldn't really... I knew what I was looking at, you know, my general description of the perfect partner, but I couldn't see any detail because I was just literally too close to the picture, so I couldn't give you any details on it. Too close to the picture, okay? And the feeling in the body was? That is not for you.
Why do you even waste your time thinking about it? Head, heart, belly, where do you feel it? In my stomach. In your tummy? Now, it could show up somewhere else.
They're just the most common places. Okay, everybody, round of applause for him, okay? Okay, let's do one more. No, go ahead. You got it.
You got the mic, man. I feel like I had an opposite experience of what a lot of these guys had on the first one, and what I mean is when you said to imagine something that you want but you're probably not going to get, there isn't anything that came to mind, because I feel like if I set a goal... and take the right actions in that direction, I'll get it. So the disbelief wasn't there, but when you had us imagine something that you don't yet have, but you want, I was right there. I was right there in the driveway of the very house.
In fact, I know the address of the house that I want. And the feeling that it invoked was that of inspiration. Inspiration. Wow, that could one day be mine. Okay, you're doing good.
Okay, awesome. Let's give him a round of applause for him. Okay, we're gonna do one more, and then we're gonna talk about some how-tos. Is that all right? Who's already found this interesting, right?
Just raising and comparing this. Now, what I want you to do is I want you to go ahead, and I want you to close your eyes for a moment. I want you to visualize something that you know will happen in your future. Could be something real simple. It could be like, well, I know that tonight I'm going back to my hotel room, right?
Or I know that tonight I'm gonna be sitting at the computer paying bills. Or I know that tonight I'm gonna have a good meal over at the steakhouse, because I want to eat at the steakhouse. Or whatever it happens to be, but something that you know, that you know, that you know, beyond any kind of reasonable doubt. You know it's gonna be in your future. And just go ahead and take a moment and visualize that.
Notice what is it like. And when you got it, you can open up your eyes. Okay, now, just from a couple of you, something short. Here's the question that I have for you. We had kind of wishing at the beginning.
We had wanting. And now we have, I have this. This is mine. Who wants to share? How is it different?
Okay. So mine is traveling. Traveling. I have it. I'm able to do it.
Okay. And it just felt like it was where I needed to be. Felt energizing. Energetic. Where did you feel the energy in your body?
I don't, I think here, right in my heart area. Right here. Now he's doing something interesting, and we may have missed this, but he did this, and that's okay. He's like, I feel it here. And he made this kind of movement.
There's movement to that feeling, isn't there? Yeah. Yeah. Now, this may or may not be true, but is it moving in the same direction that you moved your hand? I don't know.
You don't know, but there's definitely movement there, right? A lot of times people will mirror the inner movement with an outer gesture. I'm not saying you did, but it's a real common thing to do, right? So when I see that, he's got a moving feeling, right? Yeah.
Moving feeling. But also he looks and sounds different. And I want everyone to hear this and see this. When he described it, what did it sound like? I have the ability to travel.
It wasn't like, oh, I really want a house. I want a house? I want a house? A house, yeah. I have travel.
That's something I do. And hear how different that is? Okay, both in yourself and for other people. So one of the problems we have is not that we're not visualizing, but that when we finally do choose what we actually want in life, we don't use the body language of certainty, we don't use the voice tone of certainty, and we don't use the imaging properties of certainty. Does that make sense?
Yeah, totally. Right? Can I do just an interesting exercise with you real quick? Yeah. And we're gonna do this probably with one more person, but go ahead and pop on up here.
And there's lots I can teach you about creating vision, but first you gotta pick something. If you don't know what to pick, just pick something, right? We've got this vision. Is the house important or is it not important for you? It's not as important as traveling.
Okay, what is something that would be as important as traveling, but something that you're still a little unsure about? And you don't have to tell us, but I want you to get it in your head. Okay, now I'm gonna pause for a minute. Okay, notice his body language. Is he balanced or unbalanced?
Unbalanced. Isn't that interesting? Yeah. Yeah, right? That's crazy.
Yeah, so I want you to get balanced. Get balanced for me here. Now, that might have been his thinking pose, right? He's like, I am the thinker, right? And that's okay.
But I want you to fully consider what's something that you want, right? That you don't have yet, but that you'd really like to create some vision for in your future? Well, does moving to Costa Rica count? Sure, that's not travel. That's like, I wanna move.
Yeah, moving. Okay, moving. How high is your certainty level from zero, being no certainty, to 100, being like, a ton of certainty? I'm doing it. Okay, you're already doing it.
I'm gonna do it, yeah. Okay, we want something that you're not so certain on, so we can do a little change. Okay. I would say the house. The house?
I want the house, but I'm not certain that I'm going to get it. Okay, you're not certain that you're going to get it. Yeah. Is this important to you? How important to you is it on a scale of zero to 100?
Zero being not important at all. I'd say it's 75. Okay, so it's important, but it's not like moving to Costa Rica. Yeah. Okay, moving to Costa Rica's a big deal.
Absolutely. Okay, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna do a simple little process where we're gonna borrow the energy of something that he knows that he's going to do. And, oh, by the way, when you're doing the mic, we need you to hold the mic up like a rock star, okay? Yeah. There you go.
Okay, you got that, okay? Because you are one, right? He's a rock star, yeah. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna borrow the energy from Costa Rica, and we're gonna move it into the house. Okay.
A little quick comparison, let's see. We're gonna use two markers just here, a marker and a whiteboard pen here just on the floor so we can mark these spots out. And you're not gonna really stand on them, you're just gonna kind of get near them, right? So like, yeah, just stand in front of it. So this'll be, this one here, okay, go ahead and step back for just a minute.
This one here is going to be Costa Rica. And I want you to notice what it looks like and what it feels like and what it is just to be in Costa Rica knowing that you are taking possession of that. Okay, it's gonna happen, right? So go ahead and step forward. And just be in that experience.
You're in Costa Rica, okay? You are living the dream, you have moved to your place. Yeah. Okay, it looks and feels good, everybody see it? Yeah.
Okay, where do you feel that in your body? Tell us a little bit about it. Feel it here. Okay, so we're gonna borrow the energy for the visualization here. Okay, now over here, this is, go ahead and step back off this, okay?
Just gonna shake that off for a minute, right? This right here is gonna represent the house. Okay. Okay, go ahead and step over to the house. Look the same or does it look different?
Who thinks it looks different? Raise your hand, like it looks different, right? So now, we don't need to go into a lot of detail about this, but we want to help them visualize that or this like that. Does that make sense? Okay, so go ahead and just step off, step off there.
We're gonna shake off the house, right? Shake that all off in the house, right? Yeah. Okay, now go ahead and step back into Costa Rica. Okay, it's like instant, right?
You see that? Yeah, it's like awesome, like, right? Okay, now you feel the energy up here in the chest, right? Okay, so put your hand right over where you feel it. Okay, stir that up, really make it strong, make it nice and strong.
There you go, dial that way up. Now bring that right over to the house. There you go, keep your hand up there. Okay, just bring all that energy into the house and bring that into your vision of the house. All right.
Okay, what's that like? It's better. It's better, isn't it? Now, how is the image changed? The image.
Yeah. Feels like it's closer. It feels like it's not as dull. Like it's closer. If it's not as dull, what is it now?
It's brighter. Brighter, yeah. Can you see the brightness in him? Okay, step back out of it. Okay, now here's what I want to know.
Step back, way back, way back. As you compare the two, is there one that's still brighter than the other? No. They're about the same. Is there any other difference between the two?
Okay, now obviously one's Costa Rica, one's a house, but are they different qualitatively? No, they were a lot different in the beginning, but they're better now. Are they exactly the same? Okay, let's wire this in. A couple repetitions just to get it all nice and wired in.
Is that all right? So go ahead and step back over to Costa Rica. I want you to put your hand up on your heart there, man. Just ramp that energy up, all the way up. There you are.
You're living the dream. Feels good, doesn't it? Yeah, good. Now take that energy, step over here and bring it in to the house. There you are.
It is into the house. That house is a little closer. It's a little bit brighter. It is real. And put yourself right there in the house.
How does that feel? It feels cool. It's got wood floors. It's got wood floors, all right, right? That's a nice hard image that you've got, right?
Okay, so you've got nice hard floors. Who thinks he looks different? Raise your hand. Okay, now anytime we start creating vision, we're talking about the future. So this is just one method to create vision.
We're gonna talk about one more that you can do at home by yourself. Is that all right? But go ahead and step back because we're gonna repeat it a third time and then we're gonna bring it into the future. So whenever we do a process for change, the last thing we wanna do, once we see that there's been a change. Now, if he had stepped like this, right, and then we step back and then I was like, are they the same?
He's like, yeah, they're the same. Would I have believed him? No. Why do I believe him? Because he was like, Costa Rica, right?
And then it was like, house, right? And they start to look and sound the same and he starts to get real balanced as he's doing it. So now I know he's doing it. Now we're gonna wire that in with repetition, but then we also wanna bring the change into the future so that we can go ahead and really create a powerful vision for the future. Is that all right?
Okay, one of many, many ways to do this. But the important part is not only, go and step over for a second, is not only to help him see it, we gotta help him believe it. And you can do that by borrowing the energy from something that already has belief. I believe that tomorrow the sun will rise. Get an image of that, bring your goal into it.
Boom, there I am, right? Now I got some belief. Okay, one more time. Step here, Costa Rica. Okay, that's awesome, right?
The word is like powerfully wired into his neurology. Put your hand up on your heart. Bring up that energy, just dial it up. You are living the dream, brother. You are in Costa Rica.
You got that? Now quickly, step over here. Okay, and bring that into the house. And the house is getting a little bit bigger, a little bit brighter, and a little bit more real. Isn't it?
Yeah. What is that like? It's a beautiful house. It's a beautiful house. How do you feel about it?
Feels like I've made it. You have made it. Yeah. That's right. You have made it here, and you've made it here.
You've made it. Okay, so now, just see the future. Okay, look right there into the future. And there you are in your home. It's that first day when you've got the keys, right?
Putting the key in the lock, and you're opening up the door. Yeah, what's that like? I don't know, it feels great. Feels great? Yeah.
Yeah, that's right. And you feel those hardwood floors beneath your feet? Yeah, I feel accomplished. You feel accomplished. Yeah.
Don't you? Because you've done something important. Okay, everybody, round of applause for him. Okay? Okay, now, go ahead and take a seat.
Thank you, sir. Thank you. Okay, who thinks they could do something like that, right, with an eraser and a marker at home, marking out? Okay, how do I feel about this? Superman.
How do I feel about this? Not-so-Superman, right? Dun-dun-dun! Right, and you bring it over, right? It's just borrowing the energy from one place and bring it into the next.
Okay, super, super powerful. So, now, how can you do this at home? Let me give you an exercise. Very, very specific exercise, one of the most powerful ones that I think you can do on your own at home. First, you gotta decide, you gotta choose.
And some people will agonize over what to choose, but what I say is choose any vision in the beginning and you'll begin to know as you move towards it whether it really is something you should pursue or not. But choose something. The reason that you're watching this right now is because you have a vision and you have a dream. You have a dream. And you can reclaim that dream by getting yourself to visualize.
So, how do you do it? Very, very specific exercise. I call it writing out your future, okay? I recommend a single page, 12-point font, Times New Roman or Arial if you happen to have the fonts on your computer, right? And there's a reason for that, you'll find out here in a minute.
And you type up a minimum, not a maximum, a minimum of one page, single-spaced, that describes exactly what you want in the future. How do you want your finances to be? How do you want your relationship to be? How do you want your passion-based business to be? What kind of parent do you want to be if you've got kids?
What kind of influence do you want in the world? And you write at least one page, okay? Everybody hold up one finger. It's at least one page, okay? Can it be more than one page?
Yes. Yes, absolutely. Is there a maximum? No, you can write as much as you want, but at least one page. Now, here's what you want to do.
I'm going to write down a couple of things. This will help you out as you're doing it. In that story that you're going to be writing, you want to write out what you see. Remember, the problem with vision is that a lot of people can't see. So you write out, this is what I'm seeing.
This is what I'm hearing. This is what I'm feeling. This is what I am saying. This is what I'm hearing myself say. This is what I'm hearing others say.
Right, does that make sense? You want a sensory rich description of your future. What do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel?
What do you say, right? There I am, standing on my balcony, standing on my balcony, overlooking the ocean in Costa Rica. I'm on Tortuga Peninsula. The view is breathtaking. I can feel the wind just moving through my almost gone hair, right?
Yeah, I can smell the salt and I feel accomplished. There's a feeling bubbling up and rising up inside my chest because I know I have made it, right? So you write like that. You don't write like, I'm in Costa Rica, period, right? It's like, no, that's boring, right?
That's boring, don't be boring. Write what you see, what you hear, what you feel, what you say, right? What do you see and hear and feel and say? And I guess I wrote that kind of not in the same verb tense, but same idea, right? Full brain representation and you want to write a minimum of a page.
You want to write a minimum of a page. Minimum of a page. You want this to be compelling. Here's how you know if it's good enough. When you read it, does it stir up emotion inside of you?
If it does, you're right on track because remember, it's not just seeing, it is believing. So when you read that description, you want it to move you. And if you're not moved when you write it, you keep on rewriting it until you can see it, until the colors are there, until the smell is there, until the taste is there, until the feeling is there, until you can hear yourself saying, it took me 50 years, but I did it. Or it took me 40 years, but I reclaimed my vision. And my children look at me with pride.
A glint of light in their eye that says, they know that they can do it too, right? So you're writing to move yourself. You don't have to cry, but it should move you to the point of passion, of movement. So once you got that one page description, then what you do is you pull out your smartphone. I don't have mine.
Anybody got a smartphone I can borrow for a second? You pull out your smartphone, you get out your video recorder, you take your one page and you read it. Not like this. I'm going to Costa Rica. It's going to be really fun.
Because that will not move you. That does not breathe any belief into you, okay? You read it like you mean it. There I am. I'm standing on the balcony.
I've got my hands up in the air. I'm shouting to the ocean saying, I'm coming for you. I'm coming for you. Today is the day that I reclaim my vision, right? And you read it like you mean it.
You read it in a way that stirs your inner passion. You read it in a way that stirs your inner being. Maybe it's quiet. Today is the day that I show my children that it can be done, right? Doesn't have to be loud or quiet, but you read it with passion.
And you want to amp up the passion, you take a song that stirs you. You've got a song that stirs you. Raise your hand if you've got a song that stirs you. I do too. If you don't know what kind of songs to get, go out onto YouTube, right?
Look up epic music and find some awesome hero type music, right? Play that music in the background and as it's playing, you read out that vision and you speak it right into your phone. And if you don't have a phone, you go get a voice recorder. If you don't have a voice recorder, you go borrow one. You get that thing on onto audio and you speak life and you speak your vision.
And once you speak it on your phone, the next step is to listen to it again. Everybody repeat after me. Repetition. Repetition. Repetition is the key to my mind.
Repetition is the key to my mind. You want to change your mind? You repeat something, not coldly, but with passion. Passion. And when you put passion into it, you breathe belief.
And that's the way that you do the marker exercise at home by yourself with nobody else there. And then you listen to it. And how often and how long do you listen to it? You listen to it every day. And before long, you will find your vision waking up.
I once knew a man, it looked like his heart had gone cold because his vision had died until he wrote down his vision on paper and he began to speak it daily. At first, he would just read it out loud every day. And then he recorded it and he started to listen to it and little by little, it's like the chain started to fall off of his heart. His mind started to wake up. And it wasn't that long before he was fully in his vision.
So we got a problem and the problem is people's vision is dying. And those that got vision, they don't believe it. But no longer. You now have a tool that you can use to change your life by breathing belief into yourself. And so what I wanna know is will you?
it? Will you do it? It only takes a couple of hours. Will you do it in the next 24? Because once you wake up, once your vision's back, you can go out and breathe life into the world.
So if you're going to do it, raise your hand. If you're going to do it, make a noise. Say, I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. And I believe in you.
It's your time.
