How To Convert Your Leads Into Hot Money
Getting a lead is not the hard part. The hard part is what happens after someone hands you their email address, because a lead you never follow up with is just a name sitting in a list, and a list full of names you’ve never warmed up will not buy anything from anyone.
Shaqir Hussyin taught this session of the 15K Formula from London, starting around two in the morning and still going strong past five, with hundreds of people staying on the line the entire time. It’s the second half of his training on solo ads, which are ads placed in someone else’s email newsletter, and where the first half covered buying the traffic, this one covers the part that actually produces the money: conversions. As Shaqir lays out the anatomy of a solo ad, the subject line gets the open, the body pre-sells the click, the landing page captures the lead, and then, in his words, “the money really comes from you following up and converting that lead into a sale by educating and motivating them so that they’re anxious to give you money.”
As someone sitting on leads that aren’t turning into anything, what you need from this lesson is his conversion system end to end: the numbers to know before you spend, where to find people who’ll sell you their audience, and the follow-up habits that turn a cold subscriber into someone who trusts you.
What numbers do you need to know before you spend anything?
Shaqir describes his approach as vending machine marketing instead of slot machine marketing. A slot machine is money in, hope for the best. A vending machine is money in, predictable result out, and the difference between the two is knowing three numbers: your cost per lead, your value per lead, and your customer lifetime value, which is what an average front-end buyer goes on to spend with you over time. To work out lifetime value, take everything your buyers have spent across your whole product line and divide it by the number of front-end buyers. Once you know that number, you know exactly what a lead is worth and exactly what you can afford to pay for one.
He walks the math on a hypothetical mailing. Rent a mailing to a list of 100,000 subscribers, and a typical ten percent open the email. If half of the openers click, that’s 5,000 clicks to your landing page. If the page converts at forty percent, that’s 2,000 leads in about a day. And if around two percent of those leads take a $25 front-end offer, that’s forty buyers, each of whom is now at the start of whatever your customer lifetime value says they’re worth. Every link in that chain, the subject line, the body copy, the landing page, the follow-up, is a number you can measure and improve, which is exactly why he calls it a vending machine.
He’s equally blunt about the risk. Clicks from good lists cost roughly fifty cents to a dollar each, tightly targeted lists cost far more, and one ad proves nothing either way. He once spent $7,500 on a single mailing and got back almost nothing, and the only reason it didn’t end his business is that he treated it as a test, got up, and placed the next one. Test small, tweak, track, and only scale what’s already working.
Where do you find people who will sell you their audience?
Don’t type “solo ads” into Google, because everyone does, and those lists are saturated with the same offers. Shaqir’s methods all go around the crowd. Search your niche keyword plus the word newsletter, and you’ll find site owners with subscriber lists who’ve never been approached. Search your keyword plus “powered by aweber.com” or the name of any other autoresponder service, and Google hands you a list of sites that are provably collecting emails. Check any site’s traffic and audience through Alexa before you reach out. Go to big authority sites in your market and find their advertising or media kit page. Browse the ClickBank marketplace for product owners in your niche, skip the front page where the owners are flooded with requests, go a few pages deep, and use the joint-venture contact details on their affiliate pages, because these people hold something more valuable than subscribers: buyer lists. Even a YouTube channel owner with a squeeze page under a popular video is someone you can message.
Then contact them like a person. Compliment the site honestly, ask whether they accept advertising, ask how big the list is, and never act needy or spammy. If there’s a phone number, call it, because almost nobody does and it puts you in front of a real human being immediately. Never pay the rate card: ask for a discount, ask for bonuses like extra placements thrown in, and propose a long-term deal with exclusivity, because a relationship formed once can keep producing for years. Make it a habit to contact ten sites a day, template your outreach so each message takes minutes, and expect rejection without taking it personally. Some will never reply, one of Shaqir’s contacts told him never to write again, and it doesn’t matter. The handful who say yes are the asset.
How do you write follow-up emails people actually open?
The subject line is the most important line, because nothing else happens if the email stays closed. Shaqir uses power words like new, free video, and weird, brackets around a lead-in word, and question marks that spike curiosity, and he pairs them with a pattern interrupt, a claim that breaks what the reader expects to see. Inside the body, he places the same link three times, at the beginning, middle, and end, which in his testing roughly doubles the clicks a mailing produces.
Then comes the single highest-leverage habit in this lesson: mail your unopens. Whenever you send a broadcast, a large share of your list never opens it. Segment the people who didn’t open, send them the same email with a new subject line, then do it once more to the people who didn’t open that one. Three sends, one list, and the only thing you change each time is the subject line. Shaqir says this reliably adds fifteen to thirty-five percent more traffic from email you’ve already written, which is free.
The rest of his email toolkit is about staying welcome in the inbox. Write like you’re writing to one friend, using you and yours instead of I. Tease your next email with a cliffhanger, the way a TV series ends every episode, so people watch for what’s coming. Remind subscribers at the bottom of every message exactly why they’re receiving it, and include unsubscribe links prominently, several times if you like, because he’d rather have a small, responsive list than a big, numb one. Add an image that invites a click, and let your personality show in every message, because a list that knows who you are opens what you send.
What turns a cold lead into a hot buyer?
Every lead arrives cold, and Shaqir’s whole conversion philosophy is warming people up by giving first. He points to reciprocation: give genuinely valuable material away with no strings, and people feel compelled to give back. He also names three quieter levers from the study of influence: confirm your prospects’ suspicions, because people trust someone who tells them what they already believe; allay their fears, because most people in this market have been burned before; and justify their failures, because blaming their past results on bad teaching rather than on them brings them closer to you. For the deeper study, he recommends Influence by Robert Cialdini, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and one book on copywriting, The Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy, which he buys in bulk to give away.
Two offline moves put all of this into practice. First, phone your next buyer and schedule a free twenty-minute consultation where you pitch absolutely nothing, just teach, listen, and write down their frustrations, then follow up by email with a recap and one clear next step sweetened with a bonus. Second, use direct mail: ask a new buyer for their address and send them your favorite book with a handwritten note and your story, because a physical package in the mailbox is a different event from any email. And underneath every tactic sits the thing he most wants you to hear:
People don’t just join systems. People join you. People are looking for leadership. People join you and why you do what you do. Not just a system.
As Shaqir puts it in the 15K Formula, “when you take people from an uncomfortable position in their life to a comfortable position, that’s when a sale happens.” He closes with a story that stuck with him. At a seminar in Singapore, a woman named Sandy introduced herself and reminded him she’d bought a program from him three years earlier, back when he was a broke kid hustling day and night. She’d tried the business for two months, given up, and was still stuck in a job she hated, attending seminars to start over. Same starting line, three years apart, and the difference wasn’t talent. It was who kept going. Success, he says, is the journey, so wherever you are, don’t give up.
The habits to install from this session:
- Work out your cost per lead and customer lifetime value before you buy any advertising, so every campaign is a measured test instead of a gamble.
- Contact ten potential list owners a day using the newsletter and autoresponder search methods, and never pay the rate card without negotiating.
- Mail your list, then mail your unopens, then mail those unopens again, changing only the subject line each time.
- Place your link at the beginning, middle, and end of every promotional email.
- Phone your next buyer for a twenty-minute, zero-pitch consultation, and send a book with a handwritten note to the one after that.
The full lesson goes considerably further than what’s covered here: the live walkthroughs of finding advertisers site by site, his complete email swipes and the psychology behind each line, and the twelve-point list for building authority everywhere from webinars to radio. This lesson is part of the 15K Formula. The entire course, including this lesson and everything built on top of it, is available for $99 through the 15K Formula course.
Open your email account tonight, find your last broadcast, segment everyone who didn’t open it, and send it again with a brand-new subject line before you write anything else.

Today and about 1,200 leads, 1,227 leads yesterday. So I guess, you know, this stuff works. And I'm about to show people on this webinar exactly what I'm doing to get this insane amounts of results. So with that said, Dave, are you still going to be on live on this webinar? Yeah, man, I'm going to be on here.
You just go ahead and take it away. And then at the end, you know, we can come back and go back and forth on some questions or whatever, man. But yeah, go ahead and take it away, brother. All right. Sounds good, man.
Thanks for having me. All right. So I'm just going to get right into it. Okay, awesome. So we've got pretty much a packed line today.
Now, I started this webinar off last week, I guess when I was in Singapore, where I stayed out for a couple of months out there. And if you were on that webinar, I had a couple of fire drills and some crazy stuff went down. And so today, I'm going to continue with part two. And part two is really going to go into conversions on the back end, what I'm personally doing, some of the stuff that if you do, you will increase your conversions on the back end, where to go and place solo ads, how to actually find unlimited amounts of places. Now, just before we get into this, I want to kind of clarify a few things.
So, in terms of your mindset towards getting traffic, the information and the knowledge and the wisdom that you're going to gain from this webinar, and the actions that you should be taking: number one, make sure that you are actively implementing everything that I say. Because the power really comes when you actually implement, not when you just consume. One of the things that David Sharpe was saying is we learn to produce, because when you learn to produce, then you really write your own paycheck, when you stop getting overwhelmed and frustrated with courses and offer programs. And it's good in one sense where you're adding value in your learning.
But you do really need to know that everything that you need to make your first six figures or to make your first seven figures is already inside Empower Network. If you don't have all the products, go buy all the products and make sure you're all in so you can maximize, not just the commissions, but on the training. Okay. And secondly, learn and come from a place where you're producing. Be the person that's sending out the emails, not the person that's sitting there yapping away at the computer, opening email after email and getting bombarded with information overload.
Okay, so that's one. Number two, what you're about to learn has been responsible for helping me sell millions of dollars worth of products and services. This year alone, as you probably already know, Empower Network is a very, very part-time business model of mine. And it really comes down because of my ability to market and use this one traffic method, which is solo ads or email media buys, as some people call it. It's really because of this one strategy, this technique that I've kind of mastered over the last three to four years that has enabled me to get a thousand leads a day pretty much whenever I want with less than probably about 20 minutes of work.
And today I'm going to go through some of the strategies that will enable you to learn how I do this and go out there. It'll give you that confidence that maybe you don't have yet that you can go out there and do this yourself. It's not rocket science. It's very simple. It does require work, especially when you're starting out.
But within 30 minutes to 45 minutes a day, you can do pretty well. All right, so let's get right into it. The last couple of slides that I went through from last week, I basically covered this one slide. And I'm going to go through this one again because this will set your frame, okay? What you're going to learn about solo ads and the stuff that I'm sharing is it's really a vending machine type of marketing, not just a slot machine marketing where you're trying to put in some money into paid advertising and hoping it will work out.
With this vending machine marketing, you're going to learn how to predictably get the vending machine where you put in money to give you a sizable, consistent, reliable ROI, okay? And that's very important because a lot of people, they just come in and they have a shotgun approach to marketing where they try this one method and then this method and the other method. And they don't really go through a sniper method where they're pinpointing what the exact leverage points are and what's the small things that they can do that gets them the huge results. So breaking down my personal stats, and again, this is an income disclaimer, these are my own results. You know, you do have to do some work to get this kind of results.
They didn't come overnight. It took, I guess, a couple of months. That consisted of approximately 312 members at $25. The total number of subscribers that I have in my inbox, Aweber, actually is around 18,000, which was last week again. My value per lead was $12 for every email submit.
On average, I was spending $4 per lead, cost per lead. That was my cost per lead, $4 per lead, but it was just under $4. My customer lifetime value, which basically means if a person is buying into the $25 membership, how much are they worth to me on the back end, okay?
This kind of stuff looks boring, sounds very boring and not really sexy, but when you understand these numbers, you can really just go out and generate leads and sales for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're in Empower Network or any sort of other business. Once you understand these numbers, you can predictably, scientifically grow any business because these are the most important numbers that you need to know and learn about. So CLTV is Customer Lifetime Value, okay? That basically means if a person buys a $25 product, how much are they going to spend in their lifetime with me in the future?
You know, when I'm promoting this Empower Network business model, okay, and the information that I'm going to cover today, just to clarify, it's not just for Empower Network. It's generic so you can grow any other business as well.
I just want to say and clarify that upfront. So my current lifetime value customer is worth $659 for every $25 buyer. The reason why I have such high numbers, $659, is because I have all of the products that Empower Network offers. Now, if you're in any other business, all you have to work out is what kind of products you have. And then you just kind of divide them by the front end number of buyers, and that's how you can work out your customer lifetime value per buyer.
I hope you got that, and if you need to clarify, you can just watch this webinar again, just rewind here or whatever. It's going to be in your back office. So moving on, that's one of the most important things that I covered in last week's webinar. And then the second one was this one. And I've already got a tremendous amount of feedback for this one, this tip, this strategy, more like, and it's the art of negotiation.
I've been getting Facebook messages and some really cool messages from action takers that have actually not just watched it, but they've implemented it. And they've got back, and someone said they've got around 25% discount on one of the solo ads that they purchased. So just to go through an overview of this one, basically anytime you're going to go buy online advertising, marketing space from anywhere, don't go and pay the rate card, okay? They will always tell you they'll charge $1,000 or $5,000 for a solo ad or for a solo mailing. You don't want to ever pay that.
You want to always make sure that you ask for a discount first, okay? Protect your test budgets. Ask them for bonuses to throw in other media placements. And this is probably the most valuable bonus money-getting tip I can give you: always propose a long-term deal and ask for exclusivity.
If you're new to this webinar and you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, that's okay. I'm going to cover, go right from the basics. And I'll let you know what I'm going to do.
Now, starting on today's webinar, this is what we're going to go through. How to place a killer solo ad, how to place killer solo ads, an email copy that converts, how to double, triple, quadruple your conversions, the secrets of follow-ups, conversions, and getting lots of money.
Seven quick tips to help you build your email list as you capture, relate, and convert them into loyal red-hot buyers. Okay. So number one, we're going to go through how to place killer solo ads and basically what kind of email copy do we include that converts. Now, what is a solo ad? Solo ad is essentially placing an ad in someone else's newsletter to go out to the subscribers.
There is basically three parts to the actual solo ad, which is the subject line, the body, and the call to action. Okay. So the five, or actually six, components of an actual solo ad. When you create a solo ad and you want to place a solo ad, these are the six things that you need to have. Okay.
So number one is you need to have an offer. You need to have a product or service that you're marketing to a narrowed down, focused, single target market. Okay. So, you know, that basically means that if you're selling a how-to-lose-weight product, you can't really go to a source and purchase make-money-online advertising space. Okay.
As common sense as that seems, a lot of people do think they're just going to go out and buy advertising from anywhere. So it's very, very important that once you have an offer, a product or a service, whatever it is, you narrow down and you choose a single target market that has a market-to-message, call-to-action match. Okay. So, for a lose-weight product you go and find someone who owns a lose-weight website or an authority blog or a newsletter, and that's where you can go market. Now, once you place the solo ad, let me go through it.
If you don't understand this, start with the subject line. The subject line is the line that opens up, that is what people see to open up the emails. Then you have an email body. That's what pre-sells the people to click on the actual link, which is a call to action. And then that goes onto a landing page. It's known as a squeeze page, which collects the opt-in, the name and email. It's known as a lead or a subscriber.
And then you follow up. And the money really comes from you following up and converting that lead into a sale by educating and motivating them so that they're anxious to give you money and purchase your service. All right, so here's basically four simple rules. Hold on, I just got this message on the GoToWebinar, I just want to make sure that everyone can hear me and I'm not talking to myself. So I guess I can't even see, can everyone hear me okay? So I'm pretty sure you can hear me, otherwise Sharpe would have called me. Okay, so I'm just going to run with it.
Yes, you're good, I can't even see. Oh, awesome, thanks a lot. All right, I'm just going to carry on. Okay, so there's four simple rules to maximizing your solo ads. Number one, only run solo ads with tightly relevant, niche-specific providers. Number two, contact the solo ad provider before placing an order. Number three, capture all of your leads. Number four, test small, tweak, track, and then scale up. Okay, and I'm going to go through a live walkthrough on exactly some of the results that I've been able to get, and you know, so you might be able to get better results, or you might not get results as good as me, but I want to encourage everyone that's watching and listening to this webinar to make sure you are engaging with your subscribers more and more. Take a moment and make sure you're doing your job well, and you have a lot of potential.
You know, don't rely on placing one ad and expecting it to make you a bunch of money. Sometimes it does, and it's great, and sometimes it doesn't, but you have to be prepared to keep moving forward. You know, I've done ads where one time I placed seven and a half thousand dollars and all I got back was 25 dollars, and you know, I could have easily said, oh, this stuff doesn't work, but I got up and I found a way and I did whatever it took to go out and do another one. And there's a method that I'm going to teach you guys on this webinar which has been responsible for really helping me do this one ad where I spent five thousand dollars on one ad and it got back 72,000, and this was like two and a half years ago, and I've been using that same method even now. So the stuff that I want to share with you is time-tested, battle-tested, and it's not theory, it's what I've done. I've topped so many different leaderboards in different companies, and I've been top affiliate for so many different products and services online because I can get traffic on demand, I can get cash on demand because of these few strategies that I've mastered, and because I love this community so much I'm just going to give everything on a silver platter. So now it's up to you guys to watch, listen, understand, and more importantly, go and apply this knowledge.
Okay, so going for a walkthrough, if I purchased an ad from, say, Jason, actually let me just go to a site first. Okay, let's just go to a site. So I'm just going to go to a site called ArcaMax.com. Again, you don't have to go and buy advertising from this site, it's not really the best because I've tested out a lot from here, I'm just using this because I want to show you guys a live example before anything else. Okay, so this is basically a news and entertainment site, they have a huge mailing list, and if we scroll down, this is a big authority site. Let me scroll down, it basically says "advertise with us," and so what we're going to do is, you know, you basically go here and it says media buying, okay, and you can basically contact them and what they have is a huge, monstrous size list. So this list has, I think, 1.4 million subscribers, and you can send an email to that company for whatever they charge, I think it's like two grand or five thousand US bucks. So they have a subscriber base and you can rent that subscriber base, okay? So instead of spending a couple of years, or usually it takes around three to five years to build a big list for most people, instead of you building such a huge list, you can go and rent other people's subscriber lists. I can't find the subscriber box here, but I mean they have some box where they collect subscribers and you can mail those subscribers.
So here's what, for example, if I use this site, which I didn't for Empower Network, but say for example, let's call her Christine. So let me actually just go back here. Okay, so let's just say Christine, and you know, her name is Miss Christine. So if I bought an ad from Miss Christine, and they have a list of 100,000 subscribers, and they basically send an email, and the email will get a 10% open rate.
100,000 people, that means 10,000 people open his email or her email, and the click-through rate is 50%, which is 5,000 clicks. And that's pretty much average. And if you want more information on what open rates and click-through rates are, I covered it in extensive detail on the last webinar. Essentially, the open rate is the rate at how many people open an email. The click-through rate is: of the people who open the email, how many actually click on the link?
And the goal with doing solo ads is to get as many clicks as we can to our own property, which is our own landing page. It's around 50 cents a click, which is, you know, sometimes you pay 50 cents, sometimes you pay up to a dollar. Because the list that I'm going to rent is very highly targeted, I have been charged as much as $3, $4 per click.
For $7,500 I got 1,000 clicks. However, that was actually a very, very profitable one, because the person that I was renting the list from had a very hot buyers list, which I made a bunch of money from. I can't remember, I think I made 2x what I spent.
So it was pretty good. So let's say 5,000 of those clicks convert to 40% conversion, click-to-lead. That would be 2,000 leads. This is usually what comes in within a day. 2,000 leads if you were to do one like that.
And from 2,000 leads we can expect, well, the results that I've been able to get has been 2% conversion upfront to sales. Sometimes it's lower, sometimes it's a bit more. And that's 40 sales at $25. Okay. So 2% conversion.
So that's a lot of money. But the conversion rate upfront basically gives me 40 sales at $25 a pop. That's $1,000 upfront. However, I know that each buyer, like I explained on the last slide, is worth a potential $659. So if we worked out, I'm kind of bad at maths and it's 2:46 AM.
So I'm just going to use the calculator. If we did, say, 40 times $659, that equals $26,360. Now it's not guaranteed that I'm going to make that, but on average, based on my numbers, from a two-and-a-half-thousand-dollar mail out, there's a potential chance that I can make $26,360. So that's kind of the power of solo ads and email media buys. It's a huge return upfront that you can make, obviously everyone's results will vary, and I'm not guaranteeing anyone that they're going to get these desired results. You do have to do lots of research, you have to test and tweak, and when you find one that's working you can really scale it up, okay?
So here's the next slide, which is three potent, powerful ways to find unlimited sources to place solo ads. Okay, one is authority sites, which is direct buys. I'm going to go through this right now actually. Let's go to this. This site is basically called ArcaMax again, I haven't tested this with Empower Network, but this is what's known as an authority site, or a big media site, okay. So these sites, what they have is a huge subscriber base, because look at all of these topics they cover, a lot of topics, okay, and you can basically do this thing from them called direct media buys, which basically means you find websites like this. So, let's go to Google and see what we can find, news and media websites.
All right, let's check some of these out, all right, let's open this one now. And you have to basically search on Google what kind of big news media sites there are. So let's go, if you typed in something like "make money online," some of the sites that will come up is, say, Money Saving Expert. This is a big authority site money-wise, and you have to spend some time going through this. First of all, you start with your target market, okay, and if we're promoting, say, for example, a make-money-online product, or Empower Network, then you can find products and services in the internet marketing, network marketing, home-based business, MLM, direct sales, affiliate marketing spaces, and basically find sites like this. These are big, authoritative sites, and look over here, he's got all the latest news, so he's collecting people's email addresses, which basically means he has a strong, big subscriber base. And you check out the Alexa rank on here, which is 1,592. If you don't have this toolbar, you can go to Alexa.com. Okay, so that's basically Alexa.com and you can basically download this free toolbar.
You know, it's free. They don't charge you anything. All you do is you click on the Alexa toolbar and you can check out the rank of each site. Okay, and you can find that information for a particular site. So for example, we can take this URL and put it in, go to Alexa, stick it in there, hit the enter button, and press "get details," and what happens is you get to find out who's the audience, what kind of people are searching for this website.
So check this out, Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis, Amazon, eBay, Amazon, look at these, some of the searches are money-saving, money-saving expert, make money, supermarket, and you get a better understanding of who exactly is coming to this website. So you can also check out the age, the location, the education people have, and this is really valuable information because it gives you a good understanding of exactly who visits these websites. So these are pretty much more authoritative sites and they are usually a bit more pricey, but if you have the budget, then it's definitely worth a test. All you do is you scroll right down to the bottom.
Okay, let's see, if they don't have a link over here, all you do is you hit the contact one. There you go. Okay, so it says, "if you want to ask a money-saving question, 10 million monthly users," you can basically email them and ask them if they accept any sort of advertising through the website. So you just have to kind of find out from these sites, you have to go through a bunch of these sites and go through the contact page, get in touch with them, and it's one of those things that if you do the work once for each site that you go through, then at the end you'll have a handful of people that will come back to you. So this is just one strategy, and it's one that I do use, it's a bit more pricey. The next one that I want to show you is a bit cheaper, but I wanted to kind of start from the most expensive one. So the second one is the "newsletter swipe domination," and essentially what that is, we're going to go and find other websites in our marketplace that have a newsletter that we can market to, and we're going to do very specific Google searches to find those newsletters.
So here we go, I'm pretty sure that you haven't actually ever heard of this technique because it's really powerful, and I've actually only discovered it maybe a year or two years ago, and I've been using it. So for example, if I wanted to market a product in the garden niche, this is what most people type in when they try and buy a solo ad. Okay, they basically type in "solo ads" and they get 28.1 million results, and this stuff usually is saturated with the same offers, you know, kind of crappy offers. So stay away from those ones. This is a much better way for you to go find solo ads.
So here's something that I do. For example, in the gardening niche you can type in "gardening newsletter" and we can find websites that have got a bunch of subscribers in the garden niche. So let's go through this website. Okay, so wow, so these guys are collecting people's name, email address, state, city, all of that stuff, and they've got 46,000 on the Alexa rank, as you can see in the corner. Okay, so if you contact them they usually will have some sort of advertising. Let me check over here. No, but you can contact them, as long as they have a contact line you can contact them, and here's a very valuable tip that I can give you. Okay, so make sure you write this down: a lot of the time you're going to go to these websites and you're not going to see a big "advertise with us" button. Actually, look, there is advertising anyway. So let me before I do, this is my thought: some of the advertising is not there. Okay, I usually don't even look at this because I'm not even interested in whether they have advertising or not. I'm more interested in whether they have a contact number. Okay, I'm a pretty old-school kind of marketer, I guess, and if I see a phone number I get excited because now I can actually call the phone and talk to a real person, and you know, sometimes it does take you to come out of your comfort zone if you're not confident on the phone. No one's really going to say anything bad or threaten you, you just have to pick up the phone and basically say, "Hey, I'm on your website, OrganicGardening.com, and I have a product or service that I'm looking to market on your website, do you accept advertising?" and they'll say yes or no. If they say no, okay, we'll have a great day. If they say yes, then you ask them, "what's your media rate card like, what kind of advertising do you offer, just banner advertising? How big is your subscriber list, can you market to your subscriber list?"
You know, you can say "I have an affiliate product," or "I have my own product," and you ask them how much they charge, and they can say anywhere from a thousand or five thousand or whatever, and you just kind of negotiate with them. Once you understand this kind of marketing, it's really an unlimited way to make just ridiculous amounts of money anytime you want. I mean, just to show you, because this is a generic webinar, I can do this, I guess. So if we went to, say, for example, a site like ClickBank, which has got thousands of digital products and services, and we click on this button on the top called "marketplace," underneath, on the left-hand side over here, we can go to Home and Garden, okay, and check this out, we can go to any of these Home and Garden categories, let's just click on this for the sake of it, gardening, and, whatever, horticulture, okay. So for example, let's just go to, okay, this says I don't even know what that is, it's a top high-converting home and garden product. Do you know how old are they? Are they young people, 18 to 25, or are they older?
Generation, 35 to 65, and usually the people that are 35 to 65 have a bit more money, so you want to target people that have got money for your marketing, right? So this is just one way. Now let's go to this one now, this is very, this is just a basic one. The next technique I'm going to show you is kind of very sneaky, very powerful. All right, so what we can do is this: we can go to "gardening," put that in quotation marks, and then we can do plus, and I'll explain why I'm doing this, but first just understand what I'm doing. Okay, now, say I can't think of one from the top of my head, let me go to this, okay, watch this: "gardening" plus "powered by aweber.com." Okay, now the reason why I do this is because a lot of websites have "powered by aweber.com" still on the website. Now let me just check some out and then we can kind of go through a couple. Okay, so what you're looking at, let's just go to the second one, okay, "social lifestyle programs," let's actually check this one out. Okay, so this guy is actually marketing digital and social media marketing, and what we're looking for, I don't know why that came in under gardening, but whatever the case, I want you to develop a sort of mindset where you can look at any website and figure out exactly, boom, I can start making money from this website. Now check this out, this guy is at 11,277 on the Alexa rank, he's got over 250,000 readers, he's collecting people's email address. Now you can contact this person over here, he's doing some stuff, blogging, I guess he's got 13,000 fans, and don't be intimidated by people that are successful or that have got a huge following on Facebook. I mean, I'm not going to say it doesn't mean anything, but don't look at them and say, "oh wow, I can't contact that person because he's a guru or he's got 50,000 subscribers," just contact him, don't let small things hold you back. Let me see if I can scroll down, okay, he doesn't have an "advertise" button, but you can click on the contact line over here and literally just say, "Hey Jeff, how's it going, I was just wondering, by the way, awesome website, checking out your... I was just interested if you accepted any sort of advertising on your site, I have a product," and, you know, if you're going to do this, it doesn't matter what product or service you're marketing, even Empower Network...
Don't act spammy, don't act needy and desperate like, "hey, can you mail out Empower Network or my product and service to your list." Treat people like how you would want to be treated, and you'll see an increase in your conversations if you actually put some heart and some effort into it. And like I said, once you do this once or twice, then you build a relationship with someone, and that relationship can go on for months and years, and you can be profitable for years and years just from that. Okay, so you basically say, "hey, I have a product or service that seems to be a suitable fit for your readers, anyway, if you are interested, blah blah blah, contact details," and that's it, you just leave your contact details.
"I'd love to get in touch with you and discuss future promotions, if you're open to it." Okay, that kind of message is simple, it took me literally two, three minutes. And what you can do is once you have these messages, you can basically create templates out of them.
So when you approach, you know, 10 websites a day, which you should be doing, you can just tweak a few things and add a few personalized messages in there. So it saves you time. And you can even take this entire process that I just shared with you and actually outsource it to someone else, if you think it's too hard, or if you think it's not worth your time to go and do these things.
If you're starting out and you're not generating your first 50 to 100 leads a day, add this in your marketing mix. Okay, spend an hour to 90 minutes a day doing this kind of stuff, where you can place banner ads and solo ads. Okay, so moving on. And this was just one.
So let me just go back to Google. Okay, let's type in, say, "make money online, powered by aweber.com." And the reason why I say "powered by aweber.com" is because AWeber is obviously an autoresponder service that allows people to build a list and email broadcast to their subscribers. Okay, so what you can find over here is you can find a bunch of people that are in the make-money-online niche. All right.
Okay, let's scroll down, let's check some of these out. Here's one, making money in Trinidad. Let's type in another one.
Say, internet marketing. Okay, this just looks like a crappy blog, low content. Okay, and you can just look at this Alexa, I like to usually look at sites that have at least 200 to 300,000 on the Alexa rank. They usually have a mailing list, which I can take advantage of. So here's another one.
Let's check this one out. Okay, and this was for internet marketing. Okay, this person has just got the form on there. Basically, what we're finding out is sites that have an archive page. Okay, so something like this.
Okay, now check this out, you know, this person is kind of all over the place, but we're looking for sites like this. Okay.
Pages like this, archive on a.com slash this. On this one, what we see is that this is not the right site. Okay, he has got an internet marketing and social media brain, I guess what he's calling it, okay, so check this out, his Alexa rank is low, but it seems like he's still building a list over here. Okay, now if he's building a list over here, you can see this "powered by aweber email marketing," okay, this is how we figure out that there's plenty of sites out there that are building lists. So what you could do is just contact him, his contact details are over here, just contact him and basically ask him how big is his list, and if he's willing, he's got his phone number over there, so you can pretty much just call him up, or send him a message, or whatever, and get in touch with him and ask him, "hey, I just checked out your site, do you have advertising available on your site?" Now here's something else that we can do, okay, so let's just go through one more, look at this one, this is a perfect one that we just found. Okay, Josh Kotze.com, hands-on internet marketing product reviews. Now let's just say we're promoting Empower Network here, okay. Now this is a guy that does hands-on internet marketing product reviews, right, he's got 120,000 on the Alexa rank, which means he's getting traffic right now, it seems as if he's promoting all of these products, article marketing, backlink, CPA marketing, market research, all of this. So all you could do is, you know, he's an affiliate marketer that writes reviews to make money out of it, right, so you can basically contact him, you just click on the contact line and then just basically type in an email and say, "hey, I just checked out your website and it seems to me that your site is very good, and it looks like you're writing a lot of reviews, awesome reviews, is there any chance that you can write a review on Empower Network?" And that's one way of advertising. And the second one is, this person is doing internet marketing product reviews, which basically means he finds internet marketing products, then he goes through some of them, he checks them out, he writes a review, and he usually offers a bonus. What that means is if he's offering a bonus, he's collecting buyer leads, okay, I want you to understand that, he's collecting a list full of buyers, and you can tap into that, and basically send out, ask him to send out a solo for your product or service, all right.
This is really, really powerful stuff, guys, I hope you understand this, okay, it does take a bit of work, but again, you've seen me in the last 10, 15 minutes, I just found one or two websites that I can start advertising on and start contacting these people. So if you make it a goal to find 10 websites a day, to contact 10 people, you'll probably get anywhere from 30 to 40% of people that will hit you back. And I'm telling you now, this is one of the most important things that you can do. This is one of the most powerful things that you can ever do to really step up your paid traffic game.
This is the stuff that we do in our business, and not just in one business, in multiple different businesses, okay. I find people that already have an existing buyers list and subscriber list, so I don't have to do the hard work of trying to generate leads through all the other methods, this is the only method that I use, and I'm pretty damn good at it. I get up to 1,000 leads a day from it. So this method is very, very powerful. Let's go to another one, and, so that's one method where you type in your keyword over here.
So you can basically type in "home business marketing powered by aweber.com," okay, and then just scroll through here and go through a couple of these, these are people's blogs that you can go and find. Check out the next two, three, four pages, because a lot of the time, you'll have big websites like MailChimp.com that will be on the first page, but on the fourth page, you'll find individuals, like look at this guy, "work at home business ideas," whatever, Master Juheda's blog, right, you can basically contact him. Look at this, another guy, "Home Business Events, Craig," all right, so there's just tons and tons of these people that you can basically find out. Here's one called "Single Mom Weekly," okay, I think I've already contacted her, right? Let me just check her out, Single Mom's Weekly, oh yeah, I've checked out her site before.
Right, so, again I said, "powered by aweber," but look at this, "Single Mom, Make Money Monday, get focused on your home business," so it's in the business market, the business opportunity market, internet marketing, network marketing, et cetera, it's all the same target market, so we can check her website out. I'm not sure, I've never really contacted her before, and look, she's collecting name and email address, right, she's building an email list, so what can we do? We can basically find contact and send her a message and say, "hey, if you're interested, I have the product or service, are you interested in selling me a solo ad? How many subscribers do you have?" and then, last week on the webinar, I went through a whole bunch of examples.
Exactly what questions you need to ask, all of that fun stuff, and you can go and watch last week's webinar if you want more information, and go from there. Okay, so that's just another website that you can advertise on, and there's just tons and tons, this is not going to get saturated any time soon, so you just have to change, play around with these keywords, okay? So that's it.
Okay. So, let's go to the next one. Home business marketing. And it's very simple. If you're thinking, okay, is there only "Home Business Marketing" and "Internet Marketing"?
No, there's not. If you go to the Google AdWords Keyword Tool, okay, just type in "Google Keyword Tool," it's the first one that will come up. It's very simple.
We're just going to find a whole bunch of related keywords, and then we're just going to rinse and repeat the process that we've just done, okay? So let me get this loaded up. Okay. All right, so watch this, so "home business marketing," let's just type it in for more general "home business," and, okay, awesome, so watch, now, we just put in the seed keyword, which is "home business," now we've got, look at all of these, okay, and you can just basically make a list, "home-based business," "home-based business opportunity," "work from home opportunity," blah blah blah, there's just so many, so you can play around with it, right, and then you can basically type in another one that would say "internet marketing," hit the search button, and look at this one, "internet marketing articles," "internet marketing agency," "internet marketing business," so we can just pick any of these, and just go back to Google, and we type in "plus powered by aweber.com," and you'll find a whole range of sites, "take control of your internet marketing training.com," "homeforprofits.com," next, and you can just go through these sites, it takes a couple of minutes to go through them, "internetmarketingfanatic.com," we can basically check out this site as well, let me just put these in quotation marks, let's go, you can see the entire network of blogs being ranked, it's just kind of cool, all right, so, there's a whole bunch of these websites, you just have to kind of find them, find the gold in them, okay, and this is just one, you can also type in "officeautopilot.com," okay, look at this, "internet marketing business blog," over here, there's another one, "mywifequithejob.com," I mean, there's just so much, and you can replace this with "getresponse.com," okay, these are just names of autoresponder services, okay, so, let's check this out, "startupinternetmarketing.com," let's just click on one of these, now, if this person is giving away a free course on internet marketing, all right, check this out, 243,000 on the Alexa rank, what does that mean? I just want fast results, so I just pay for it.
Let me go through some over here, let's find some websites over here, okay, so, those are the first one, two, three pages. Now, if we go back, I want to show you guys one more thing that is very, very powerful, which a lot of people don't do, but I do it every now and then, I used to do this when I got started early on. You see these guys, okay, they're basically working very hard to get a product or service, they're trying to market the Make Money Online program, or the internet marketing system. Now, a lot of the time, these guys don't understand what marketing is, and what they usually do is they probably just collect leads, but they don't understand anything about follow-up, anything about conversions, any of this stuff. Okay. So, a system like Empower Network teaches you, okay, they might not know, but what they might have done is they might have collected a subscriber base, okay, now, understand this, these are just normal people that are trying to make money online, or they may be making some money online, and they're pretty successful, either way, they have built an asset which you don't have yet, so, if you don't have that asset yet, you can build it.
You can build it yourself, or you can take that unfair advantage and capitalize on it, so, now, watch this, okay, this guy, I'm not going to watch this video, he's probably got an annoying British voice, he has, okay, now, check this out, he's got 88,000 views, all right, so, obviously, out of 88,000 people, there is going to be a whole bunch of people that will click on his link, and let's see what he has on his link, okay, he's got a squeeze page, which is good, which basically means he's collecting a list, okay, let's just put something in here, and let's see what the next page is, okay, he's sending it straight to a ClickBank offer, right, but you can basically go over here, Alex Anderson, or however you pronounce his name, and, how do you do this, there should be a, am I signed in? Let me just check, no, I'm not signed in, but if you're signed into Google, if you're signed into your YouTube account, you can basically send a message to this guy, and basically say, let me just go to one of my email addresses, so, let me see if I can message him, you can leave a comment, and get in touch, hold on, let me see, where is the message option, I haven't done this for a while, so, I can't even figure it out, okay, it's not going to be hard, you just have to kind of click on some of these buttons, and figure out how to message this guy, okay, and this is just one person, you message him and say, "hey, listen, I just checked out, you've got a whole bunch of views, and you're promoting an affiliate marketing product, if you're getting traffic, and you're promoting an affiliate marketing product, have you checked out, I've got a product or service, which I'd love for you, if you're interested, to promote, and if you have a mailing list, can you sell me a solo ad," and that's how you start the negotiation conversation, and once you're having a conversation with him, then you can basically negotiate on traffic, negotiate on the price, and, you know, this stuff that I'm sharing with you, this is stuff that you can really go out and build a business with, okay, this stuff that I'm sharing with you should open up your eyes, so that whenever you're on a website, instead of goofing around on Facebook, or whatever, you can go on a site like YouTube, and you just spot the opportunities, okay, this stuff is very valuable, when I got into this industry, someone said to me, "learn the art of marketing, traffic, conversions, and you're gonna set yourself free for the rest of your life, you're gonna write your own paycheck," and I remember just thinking, "what the hell," and the guy kept on repeating it, and it just sunk into me so much, that it doesn't matter what website I'm on, or whose marketing funnel or YouTube video I'm on, I just know how to optimize it, I know how to bring more traffic to it, I can leverage that, and it's just a great place to be in, okay. So, here's another website called www.entrepreneur.com, let's scroll down, this is a big authority site, it's in the top 2000 sites, so, let's see if they've got advertising available, okay, over here, "advertising," yep, they do, print, digital, so you can probably check out the digital, okay, look, here's the Entrepreneur media kit, and I mean, you can check this out, again, sometimes I do go through the media kit, but because I'm kind of old-school I just find one of these people over here and I'll just contact him, I'll just call him up, if they don't pick up, then I'll try again, if he doesn't pick up, I'm going to try him, and I want to try all of them, and even my assistants, the guys that worked with me on my team, they know to do this, okay, and it does take a bit of work initially, but I'm telling you now, it's probably one of the best things that you can ever do, get buying traffic like this from big media network sites like this, okay, here's another one, "DotComSecrets." This guy is actually called Russell Brunson.
Even Russell Brunson, okay, he actually did join Empower Network. Let me just see. No, he doesn't, but I guess you can still contact him and see if he's open to selling a solo ad or selling any advertising space on his blog or on his mailing list. So that was pretty much two or three ways, I guess. Again, you just take a bunch of these keywords, you go to Google, you research, you find blogs that are in your niche that you want to market to, and you leverage their subscriber base.
Let's just do another one. Let's just do "make money online fast." Okay, so here's one called Erica.biz. Let me click on next. Let's check this out.
Okay, all right, so I've seen this one before. And this is a great site. It's in the top 63,000. She's obviously collecting an email address and it looks like, I guess, maybe someone's advertising Empower Network there. Even on banner ads, which is a great way to start, I find these to be very, very slow and I don't have the patience for this kind of stuff.
So this is what I do. Okay, I click on these ads and I can see if there is one on. Let's see if it's Empower Network. No, it's not. Let's check this out.
Okay, it's not. Let's see. And if you're doing banner advertising, it's these ones that convert the most. Okay, the ugly ones. This is very valuable stuff.
Let me show you guys. Okay. Let's check this one. "Portable business opportunity." Okay, it looks like no one is
advertising Empower Network on this website. Okay. Now, what you can do is if they did advertise Empower Network... oh, there's sponsors here as well. All right, let me open some more of these.
Okay, so there's a guy here that's advertising Empower Network. Okay. There's another guy. Actually, he's my friend, Simon. He's advertising.
So, okay, so now I just found out two people are advertising Empower Network on this website. Okay, so now I can go into this website called erica.biz.
And here's the thing, it's great. Banner advertising is great, but for me it's a bit too slow. To place a banner on these websites costs around $500. Her name is Erica. Erica has a lot of very high quality readers.
And look at this, she has over 112,000 monthly readers. So instantly, this is how my mind works, it's boom. There's two people advertising sponsored links. The reason they're advertising sponsored links is because there is no more space to advertise here. There's this guy who's marketing some other program.
What can I do to leverage myself? I can basically contact her and say, she's got 112,000 monthly readers, she's bragging about it. Okay, she's not accepting guest posts. That's cool as well. "If you email me, I may respond.
I do read all of my emails and make a genuine effort. If you're a PR company and want me to write about your customer, don't bother, I will report you as spam." Okay, now let's find her email. Okay. Because she seems pretty cool.
She's going to reply to my emails. Let me see, "deep thoughts, advertise." Again, you do have to poke around, you have to check out the sites. Wow, so she's been featured on Forbes, all of these fancy big websites.
Let's go here. The only reason I know this is because my younger brother does banner advertising. So he's already told me that he's checked out this website. Okay, it looks like she doesn't have a place where I can email her. Okay, she hasn't put her email address, but that's not going to really stop me.
I'm going to find a few ways to contact her. So she's on Twitter and four hours ago she just tweeted. So I'm just going to message her. So I'm just going to say, what's her name? ProBlogger.
No, her name is Erica Biz. "Hey Erica, love your blog. Was interested in advertising. What's your best email?" Okay, and if she replies, she does.
If she doesn't reply, that's okay as well. I'm just going to find a few different ways to contact her because I want to advertise on her blog. She's telling me that she's got 112,000 readers monthly. So I'm going to ask. And if she says no, she says no.
No big deal. Okay, don't get too stuck up. There are going to be a whole bunch of people that will say no to you, but it's not how many people say no to you, it's how many times, even if two people say yes to you, how many times can you go and ask more people. That's the way you should view these things.
Don't, a lot of the time we get online and what happens is we'll go to a website and say, "hey, are you interested in blah blah blah, do you guys sell solo, can I buy a solo?" And the person might tell you to get lost or "no, I don't sell solo." And a lot of the times, and I've experienced this because I've coached a lot of entrepreneurs, especially when they're buying traffic, they say, "oh, I've been rejected a couple of times."
What the hell does that mean? It just means you tried to sell once and it doesn't work. Who cares? Just do it again. And I've done this stuff so many times.
I've had people say, "don't ever contact me, I'm not going to sell you advertising." Big deal. It doesn't matter. I'm just going to move on to the next website that I'm going to advertise on.
And so don't ever take these things personally, okay? All right. So moving on, I'm pretty sure that was valuable. I hope you learned some stuff from there. Next one that I'm going to go through, okay?
The next one is probably the most powerful one, this is the one where I've just used this to make a lot of money. We went into the multiple, multiple six figures and it continues. Funnily enough, the stats that I was actually sharing were over here, okay? Go to that.
The stats that I was sharing over here, today, yesterday, 347 leads, and yesterday, 1,227 leads. This is the exact strategy that I'm going to share with you. And this is, if you use this, it will really, really help you make a lot of money if you find the right sources and you do exactly what I tell you, okay? You have a great chance of making money.
I'm not guaranteeing you're going to see the same results as me. But it is absolutely awesome. Now, what we're going to do is, so this place is called ClickBank, okay? ClickBank.com. And what we're going to do is, ClickBank is basically a marketplace full of tens of thousands of digital products, okay?
Digital products and services that you can go and find sellers and affiliates, okay? So we're here to find sellers. We're here to find sellers that already have a product and service. This is super exciting stuff. It's 3, 4 a.m.
and I'm just super excited to share this with you. Now, watch this, okay? So for example, let's say we are promoting a product, by the way, you can promote any niche product with what I'm sharing with you. But let's just say, for example, we're going to promote Empower Network, okay? Check this out.
Empower Network, all of these products are in this section of eBusiness.com, affiliate marketing, so we basically say Empower Network is part of eBusiness.
Now, let's check this out, watch. Okay, so these are products, I want you to understand this, okay? And remember, these are products that are selling on ClickBank every single day, okay? Every single day, they're selling on ClickBank, they have got huge buyers,
not just subscribers, buyers, okay? One of the reasons why my conversions have been very, very high is because I don't just focus on getting subscribers. I focus on marketing to people's buyer leads, okay? So, for example, this guy over here, called George Brand, and, you know, he's a cool guy, but I would advise you not to pick any of these guys on the first front page because they're usually not going to sell to you, you can try.
The reason why I'm saying this is because most of these guys are my friends, and I know them very personally, and they just won't sell to anyone off the bat, okay? So this product has done $4 million. So if you think about it, his product sells for around $47. So, yeah. And I'm sharing this because this is an example that's going to open up your mind.
So let's just do, say, $4 million. Okay, $4 million. Is that $4 million? Yes, it is. Okay, $4 million divided by, say, $47.
Okay, that's how much his front-end product is. That's over 85,106. Okay, so that's 85,000 buyers, okay? That basically means 85,000 buyer leads. This person,
this guy has got 85,000 buyer leads, approximately, okay? Can you imagine sending an email to his list, for him to promote your product? Take a deep breath because this stuff is absolutely powerful. This is the stuff that I do on a day-to-day basis to acquire new relationships, new contacts, secure new solo ads. Some of these guys do charge a lot.
I'm going to be very upfront to tell you that some of these guys charge as much as $10,000, $12,000, $15,000, $15,000 for a solo ad. I do pay it because I understand the value in it. If you're starting out, start off with a couple of hundred bucks or $500 or $1,000. If someone is making money with internet marketing or with Empower Network, then just step it up and test out a more pricey solo ad.
So I typically spend, my solo ads go from anywhere from $3,000 to $20,000 a solo ad, and obviously, I've been doing this for a while, so I kind of understand how this game works. This is the exact same stuff that I'm teaching you, okay? So now watch this. There are so many, hundreds and hundreds of products on here, okay?
And this is what my advice would be for you watching this, all right? Don't just go on the first page, okay? Because the people that get too excited and don't think twice, they're going to usually just email one of these guys, which you're not really going to get a response from, okay? If you go on to, say, page four, okay, these guys still have a decent product, okay?
Still have a decent product. They might not have, you know, 50 or 100,000 buyers, but they still do have a bunch of leads. They have leads, subscribers, and buyer leads that you can mail out to. And what your goal should be to do is to develop relationships with people on here, okay? And this is...
By the way, this is just one marketplace, okay, called ClickBank. I would advise you to start off with this. So here's what you do, all right? So for example, let's just pick any of these products. "Membership Site Blueprint."
Let's pick another one. Okay. This is a guy. Okay. I forgot his name.
Yeah, his name is Peng Joon, and there's a guy called Alex Mann who knows him. So let's go over here, and we go to this link over here, "Contact" or "Affiliates," okay? And this is what happens. You can scroll down. Okay, so check this out, okay?
This is exactly what me and my team do on a day-to-day basis, all right? So watch this. This is a guy called Peng Joon. Let's check out his affiliate link, his Alexa rank, which is 35,000, which means he gets a lot of traffic. So now what we're going to do, he's got...
This is his product. It's on the membership sites on internet marketing. This is his email address. See that? "Chanpeng at Outlook.com," okay?
"If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my brother, Peng Lee, who is the JV manager." JV manager is basically the joint venture manager for this project. And basically, what we're going to do is we're going to email this person. I'm actually going to keep his email address because I'm going to email him afterwards. And his brother is Peng Lee, who is the JV manager, who's going to basically answer all of the emails, all right?
So you can basically just email him and say, "hey, I know you guys have got a product launch going on right now, are you guys selling any solos? I'm interested in buying a solo because my product or service matches your launch." And I have probably around 10 to 15 people being contacted like this every single day, okay? Because for me, one of the things that you learn, I guess we can cover it in a future module, but one of the things as a business owner is you learn what is high leverage.
And you learn how to focus. Okay? How do you focus on high leverage activities and the activities that bring you in the money, okay? So if you did an 80-20 analysis of 10 things that you do on a day-to-day basis, you realize that only 20% of those things that you do make you the money. So for me, my 20% is this, in a nutshell.
It's getting on the phone and building relationships. So what happens is I have a great team. A lovely girl called Chantelle, and I have my great team. They're probably watching this webinar, so I'm going to be nice to them. But they're great peeps.
And what they do is they basically contact people on behalf of me, okay? And then they basically do the negotiation, and then they pass the people on to me. And sometimes I deal with them or my team deals with them. But every single day, I have got a flood of people coming to me ready to sell solo. Okay?
And this is how I'm able to buy up advertising at any time, any day. And if I want to get 500 or 1,000 or 2,000 leads in a single day, it's really, really very simple. I can get it within 10 to 15 minutes of talking to someone and then hooking it up. And that's the power of what I'm sharing with you, okay? So do not take this lightly.
This stuff, if you do implement it, it will change your life, all right? So that's one, okay? Let's go to another one, "Covert Cash Conspiracy." Let's check some more out. Let's check page two.
What is this? Okay, I don't know what this one is. "Automatt." Some of these products are kind of crappy. You want to stay away from them.
"Superfeeder Tech." "SEO Presa." "Commission Robotics." Okay. I mean, you can just check out the pages and all you do is just click on this, where is it?
Over here. You go to the JV page and, about 80% of the time, you find the details. There it is. "Feel free to contact me at smselling@gmail.com." Look at this, 242 on the Alexa rank.
So this site gets traffic and, he's an internet marketer. You can see he's on a couple of leaderboards and whatnot. So here's another guy that you can contact and then just capitalize on his buyer list, on his subscribers. Okay. This is the difference between writing ads and setting up traffic campaigns.
This is a traffic campaign, but this, for me anyway, is just much more higher leverage. If I find one or two people, I find usually a lot more, but let's just say, one or two people a week. Okay. So I can deliver 500 to 5,000 leads a week, for not just my Empower Network business, but for all of my other businesses. And I do Empower Network on a very, very part-time basis, I actually run two other full-time businesses, which requires a lot of focus and energy.
So you take this on board. Do implement what I'm sharing with you. And this is another golden tip, which I shared on the last webinar. Okay. I'm not sure if you remember.
If you haven't watched it, make sure you watch the last webinar. But, say we're promoting Empower Network. People that are interested in Empower Network, okay, there's a niche called the self-development niche. And what I found out, and this is after testing a lot of money, a lot, okay, in the tens of thousands of dollars. Okay.
That people that are in the self-development niche are very, very responsive towards the make-money-online, internet-marketing side, okay? So the people in the self-development niche, the people that are interested in making themselves better, the people that are interested in stuff like The Secret and visualization and affirmations and that kind of stuff, they're also very interested in increasing their financial income and their financial performance and prosperity. And that is a very, very lucrative and responsive market that I found out to be, okay? So you can run a test, again, let's just go over here, there it is, "self-help," okay?
You can go over here and find out, let me just pick one, "public speaking, self-esteem, success." Let's just check out this one. Okay. "Like Mind Secrets Exposed," this is a product that's paying out $71, "five-minute learning machine, how to be an expert persuader." You can, and you have to kind of figure out what the controls are, as in the marketing controls, you have to figure out how do you take a product like this and add a twist to it so that people...
You can market a product like Empower Network to them, okay? So, this product is teaching how to be an expert persuader. This guy probably has a list of people that are trying to learn persuasion. What if you created a landing page, or an email body copy, which I'm going to go into, okay? Yeah.
Okay. So, with the hook, remember, this is "learn how to be an expert persuader," to learn how, click here, or whatever, right?
But that's just an angle, and your ability to create these angles and mix and match different products, services, marketing messages, and traffic will really help you get to that next level. All right. So, I hope you got that. This stuff is really, really powerful, by the way. So make sure you implement.
Anyway, I'm going to swiftly move on because I'm not sure how long I've actually spoken for. All right. It's like 4 a.m. in London. To promote Empower Network, okay. You can see the short, punchy, straight-to-the-point copy.
Do not, please do not, okay, do not swipe these word for word. What you're going to do is saturate, you're going to waste your money and you're going to be disappointed. That's really it. Okay.
So anyway, I'm going to go through the email swipe. Obviously, there's three parts. There's the subject line, that gets people to open it. Then there's the body, where it says "congrats" over here.
Dave, you still out here? I don't know if Dave's still out here. Anyway, so this is the body copy, from "congrats" all the way over here. And the call to action is these lines over here: "hit the link below and join us."
All right. So I'm going to go over here. This is the call to action. And I usually have these three links. Okay.
These are strategically placed three links, beginning, middle, and end. Okay. And this is usually, like I've tested this before, and they usually double my clicks. All right. They usually double my clicks when I send out a solo.
So let's go for the subject line. I like to have these kind of things over here in brackets, "New," you know, stuff like this. This works really well. So new, let me just type in a few more over here.
"Easy," say "revolutionary." Okay. Now, this kind of stuff, okay, this is known as a power word. These are words that grab people's attention. And I've used this a lot of the times.
Let's just use another one. This one's really powerful. It's stuff like "free video." Okay. Free video.
"Weird commission... loophole system pays you 100% commission." Obviously, I'm promoting Empower Network on this. But it doesn't matter what product and service you're promoting, these kind of swipes pretty much work. Obviously, you're not going to really use this for gardening.
But these kind of swipes are really, really powerful in terms of getting a great open rate and a good click-through rate. And then the first line says, "congrats, click below to claim it now." So there's a link over here. Then it says "weird story."
"How two ex-losers, an ex-construction worker and homeless van man, discovered this lucrative commission loophole solution to paying out 100% commissions." Now, obviously, I'm going to be sending this out to maybe a list from ClickBank. Okay. And you've seen on ClickBank, what do these people get?
I mean, look at this. Okay. They get $41, or 30% or 50% commissions. Sometimes they get 75%. So, instantly, by me saying "100% commissions," that stands out.
That's not normal. So, that's called the pattern interrupt. Okay.
Number two, there's a question mark. Okay. So, what does that mean? "Weird commission loophole pays you 100% commissions?" That question mark gets you to think, huh?
What is this? Okay. And that peaks that curiosity factor inside you. So, subject lines are very important because it's actually the most important thing. Why?
Because the subject line is what opens your emails. Okay. And subject lines are very similar to headlines. All right. So, you have to grab the prospect.
You have to grab the people to open up the email. Okay. You have to grab the attention. Sometimes, this is just one of the things that I do and maybe you want to do too. And I learned this from a guy called Jay Abraham, an absolute marketing guru.
And I learned this years ago. So, any time that I'm stuck for headlines or subject lines, I straightaway just go to this website. Okay. And, you know, I'm doing this because I appreciate the Empower Network community, and, you know, in this webinar I asked myself, what is the best thing that I've learned that I can give away? Absolutely, and I don't care what I get back in return. If one person messages me and says they've learned a few things and they're gonna take action, I'm happy. So for me, that's my mindset. When I was doing this webinar, I was thinking, what's the best thing that I can give away without the expectation of getting anything back? And a lot of people get stuck in this area because they write a blog post, or they do some content, or they make a video, and they say, "I didn't get any results." Usually people don't even go all in and don't make that financial commitment to buy all of the products, and then they make one video and say, "oh, I haven't got any results, this doesn't work," and usually they just whine and complain and then they quit. Okay, so if you're watching this webinar, make sure you're not one of those, all right.
So you can also mail back to your press releases. Press releases are very powerful. If you have been in Empower Network, it doesn't matter for how long, if you have not written at least one or two press releases, just go out and start writing, okay. Here's a site, Webwire.com. Here's another website, PRWeb.com. Okay, these two websites are great. Here's another website called LinkJuice.com. Here's another website called MarketersMedia.com. Okay, so that's four sites there. On Webwire.com it's like 25 bucks, this site's period, or 350 bucks, or whatever it is, these are very useful because they help conversion, marketing to the media. This is a guy called Jim Shanko here on the site, I don't even know what the prices are. Okay, let's just check it out.
I don't know. Okay, $900 for this one. And I don't know how much this one costs. Okay, it's $97 or whatever, $37. Press releases are very powerful.
You can buy a press release, you can create a topic which is very unique to you, why your name has joined Empower Network, or something like this. Let me go back to it. Okay, so here. "Why Jordan Mayer" — I can't think of any other name — "joined the internet marketing community, XYZ," okay?
So, whatever business you are marketing, it doesn't have to be Empower Network, any other business, you can basically start doing press releases. I have a whole bunch of press releases that basically talk about why I joined Empower Network, all of the events. If you are coming to the next event, which is in Austin, make sure you are there, you can basically write a press release saying you are attending this event. Let me just see if this even comes out, and I'm sharing this stuff because this is the stuff that I do to get results, okay? Here, there's one, and I do this for all the other businesses I do, if I'm doing a webinar, I just promote it, let me see what else there is, okay, press release, Empower Network, let me see. Okay, so, wow, yeah, check this out.
You know, "web traffic expert Shaqir Hussain endorses Empower Network as the fastest growing, most profitable internet business model for entrepreneurs looking to make money online." All right, so there's my link there that goes to my squeeze page. Okay, this is the stuff that I'm sharing with you that's working for me right now. This is the stuff that I do, and I'm just sending this one to a normal landing page, of Dave and Dave, and it just basically talks about...
What I am, and I went to a different event, and I think this was, okay, I'm not going to go through it, but basically, you get the point, okay. I use press releases, and this is what I do. I send my traffic to my press releases, all right, from my emails, because look at this. This is a site called, okay. It's a big authority site.
It's got an Alexa rank of 1,405, I think it's the Houston Chronicle or whatever it is, okay. It's an authority site. And I've got my press release on there. So what happens when my prospects check out myself on these sites, right? And I learned this strategy actually from a guy called Andrew Cass, when I first got started in internet marketing, like three, four years ago, and I've been doing it ever since.
And solo ads and press releases are my favorite ways to get traffic, and I'm just showing you all of the sites I use, let me see if I can even find any of my ones on here. I don't know if they're going to turn up. Sometimes they don't come up. Sometimes they do.
Okay, look here. This is another one that I've done. And this cost me like, I don't know, 25 bucks or something. Shaqir Hussain was saying blah blah blah, and these are all the keywords I was trying to rank for, "Empower Network Review, profitable internet business." I'm just sharing everything.
Maybe I should stop, but, you know, it's cool, whatever, right? And I send them straight to my squeeze pages to collect the leads. PR Web, this is my favorite site, by the way, to do press releases. This one's great as well. Okay, let me move on.
All right, made it back to videos with call to action. So I have video. Okay, on YouTube, learning on these calls, you can take this stuff, all right, and make a video, "five things I learned about solo ads from Empower Network," or, if you're in any other niche, you can write, "three things that I've discovered about using solo ads to grow any online business or any offline business," or whatever, right? You can just make a quick presentation or YouTube video and that's it. Just optimize it and start getting some traffic.
Let me just go to my site and see if I have, actually, this is my channel. I'm not sure the last video, maybe it's here, maybe it's not. Okay, sorry. I think I uploaded this one 10 hours ago. All right, so here's one, and this one is, I uploaded it about a week ago.
I can't even remember what it was on, actually. Okay, I'm speaking about myself too much over there. All right, so let me just see what this was about. Okay, whatever it is, all right. The point is, these are videos that I make, and I show my results.
And once you have results, you can show them, you can share your results. If you don't have results, that's okay as well. You can still give value, okay? Don't let anything hold you back.
And look at this guy: "I have been looking around Empower Network for a while. Most people don't reveal the results. You are transparent. I am looking forward to working with you and learning more."
"It's been too long that I have struggled online to make any money. I look forward to your Facebook mastermind group." And you have, sometimes people comment good stuff, sometimes they might not.
It doesn't matter as long as you put a good value. So this is what I do. I basically send an email from my list to go and watch my YouTube videos. And then look at this, okay? They can click here.
I optimize it with a bunch of stuff on here, right? And then people can click on it and it takes them to... okay, it takes them to my join page. So that's one of the things that I do. Also, there's a lot of other things that I do. So, convert. Okay.
Let me just go back to the keynote. All right, so... Where was I? Okay, mail back.
Mail often, mail back to the blog. Give content. Give without the expectation of getting anything back. Okay, this is really, really going to set the pace. When you do this kind of stuff, then you're not too worried about, oh, do I look good on video?
Or is this content good enough? Because you're just giving as much as you can without expecting anything back. You're not expecting anything, okay? Mail back to press releases.
Mail back to videos. Optimize those videos. Have a call to action. Tell people what to do next, okay? People need guidance.
People need... you need to tell people, "hey, watch my video. After you finish watching my video, click on that link. Once you click on that link, join." Okay, join.
Pay for it. Then, once you pay for it, go and buy all of the products. Then, give me a call or hit me up on Skype or add me on Facebook, and then we'll chat, or whatever, okay? But you have to tell people step by step exactly what to do. Even this webinar.
Look at how I've tried my best to explain, and it's like 5 a.m. now, on showing you live walkthroughs, showing you exactly what steps you need to take and how you need to take them, okay? Next one is pre-sale, okay? This is very important. This is what most people don't do.
If you're not having the conversions that you really desire, it's because you're missing out these points that I've laid out here very simply, okay? You need to pre-sell people on the reason why people should join you, why should they buy from you, okay? It doesn't matter what business you're promoting, Empower Network or your own businesses. This is generic information. You have to pre-sell people on the reason why they should do business with you.
You have to educate, entertain, inform, why you joined and what prospects should do if they want a piece of what you want, okay? Educating and motivating. Look, this is what happens. You have to give content. You have to give value.
What happens? When you give content and value, not just in the ordinary way but in the most powerful way, so that they're anxious to give you money. The reason is because you are the trusted advisor and the expert in their eyes, okay? So if you're starting out new and you're lost and you have no idea what to do, you've learned a bunch of stuff here, okay? You can basically say, "five dangerous mistakes people make when they're doing solo ads."
"I just watched this webinar on the 15K formula and I've learned X, Y, Z, and here's what I've learned." Now, if you like this kind of information, you can learn a lot more from the community that I've partnered up with. Excuse me. Wow. Okay, so get it?
So that you get great experience. I kind of get my words mixed up. All right, so always provide value in your messages. Again, value is what creates trust, authority, respect, and ultimately more sales. My emails are usually very long and they contain tips and strategies that people can use there and then to help them move from a place of discomfort to the place of comfort, okay?
And this is the value that creates long-term value and trust with my people. And this is why they don't hesitate, okay? I don't spend much time telling people to go all in. I tell them once or twice. If they don't, they don't bother.
I don't really bother. I should follow up a lot more. It's just Empower Network is not my main business model. Although for 2013, I would spend a lot more time marketing this program because of the impact that it has on a lot of people. Okay.
So the average person can start making a lot of money in a very short period of time utilizing this platform to either resell Empower Network or to go and market other products and services. Okay, spend time thinking of a killer subject line when you're sending an email. Again, I've shared with you some triggers, curiosity, questions, stats, specifics, pictures, weird sounds, "LOL," "hmm," "you," "yo," all of that kind of stuff. I've given you some of the sources, Alltop.com, Amazon, to get some more information. Remind your subscribers why you're sending them emails.
This is very important. This is something that I've seen in Empower Network. This is why I had to make this slide, all right. A lot of people have a lot of unsubscribes. Number one, unsubscribes are very good because you are getting rid of the people that don't want to hear from you.
That's number one. Number two, people unsubscribe and then they maybe press the complaint button. And the reason why they do that is because they are probably subscribed to 101 other marketing messages, okay. So you have to stand out. You have to be unique.
You have to be different. Not only that, you have to remind people why the hell they signed up in the first place, okay. This is how you keep people still on your list. So this is what, actually, this is not the right thing to do. Let me see if I can find it.
Okay, so this is basically what I've done, all right. And this is, I've used this and it's really, really helped. At the end of each email, I basically have this: "About Shaqir Hussain. Shaqir Hussain is one of the... blah blah blah. Over the last three years, he went from being a construction worker slaving down in the construction fields of East London to now doing this consulting, and Empower Network is the world's fastest growing internet marketing community."
"Here's your chance to join my winning team inside Empower Network to make your first dollar and make more money." This newsletter, this is very important, okay. You must, must, let me see if I can zoom this thing. Okay, I don't know how to zoom this. Okay, I'm not even trying to figure it out.
Okay. My lack of technical knowledge is, okay, let me see. All right. So check this out, okay. "This newsletter is being sent to you because you subscribed to it. You subscribed to my MoneyGating newsletter at ShaqirHussain.com."
"Here is your subscription information. Email, subscribed on this day. If for any reason you do not want to receive any valuable tips, blah blah blah, master online marketing that can help you achieve a lifetime of real residual income, you can unsubscribe any time at the link. You can remove yourself from my MoneyGating." I tell people, "get off my list."
And I have these messages around three, four times in my emails telling people, if you don't like what I have, you can remove yourself, okay. So that's very important. Have something like that, okay. Remind your subscribers why you're sending them those emails. Okay.
All right. Next, tell your subscribers what to look for and have cliffhangers. A lot of the time when you have bad open rates and you ask your sponsor, or you're scratching your head and you just don't know how the hell do I get my subscribers to open up my email? Well, listen.
You have a valuable email and you leave with value. You give value. On that email, tell them, "on the next few emails, I'm going to teach you X, Y, Z." I always have in all of my emails, just even in the first few lines, I say, "watch out for my next few, three to five emails, as I've got something very exciting to share with you." All right.
And I just have those all the time. Okay. And this is what keeps people opening up my next email, my next email, my next email. And you have to think like a soap opera. Soap opera?
The series, like a TV series, like "24," or "Criminal Minds" or "CSI" or whatever, right? Each one leads on to the next one. Okay. They all have cliffhangers just holding you on for the next ride.
And this is how you want to take your subscribers and your people on a journey, okay? On a journey of entertainment, education, information, so that they can take that knowledge and apply it to their lives so that they can go to the next level. Okay? Become more comfortable.
Remember, when you take people from an uncomfortable position in their life to a comfortable position, that's when a sale happens. That's when conversions happen. Okay? So you have to do that kind of stuff. Okay.
Next. Be personal. Write just like you're sending an email to one of your best friends.
Use words like "you" and "yours," not just "I." This is something that I used to do. I used to always talk about me, "I, I, I." And then I learned from a good mentor of mine called Ibn Pagan. And he said the most powerful words are words like "you," "yours," "free."
And so you want to, in all of your email marketing, always use those words, "you" and "yours." Okay. Wow. I have another module over here.
How to... hey Dave, are you around, buddy? Hey, yeah. What's up, brother? I'm here, man. Hey.
Yeah. I'm just going to go and get a glass of water because my throat's completely dry. Okay. Oh dude. No worries.
All right. Okay. Give me a second. Okay. Okay.
Hey, guys. They're that, you know, just Shaqir, it's actually funny, he's even apologizing for taking so long, I mean, we're literally the kings of the two, three, four hour video session. So I think Dave just did a hangout last night that went four hours, pretty much any time we do a hangout.
It's three or four hours, not particularly because we have any set schedule, or we intend on going four hours, it's honestly just because there's just a lot to talk about, so it's hilarious, we're the only community that I know of that just literally can talk all night and people hang out on our calls all night. We've still got 522 people on the line right now, and all the feedback so far is good, so I hope you guys are loving it, eating it up. I'm actually sitting here just kind of taking it all in myself, you know, the cool thing about this stuff, guys, is you can never learn too much, and a lot of times we put people up on soapboxes and pedestals, but it's the ones who are still willing to get in there and take some notes that are the ones who are growing. Just a leadership nugget here for those of you who are really looking to lead a big team of people, one of the things that I kind of live and die by is the fact that I always want to stay ahead of my best leaders, I want to be learning more, I want to be keeping my mind sharper, and that doesn't mean that I'm any better, any smarter or anything like that, I just work on education and self-development as hard as anybody that I know, that's why I walk around, I listen to audio, I'm willing to sell on webinar, I don't need to be here truthfully, Shaqir is more than capable of hosting this webinar, we've got lots of leaders who are more than willing to host a webinar, host a call, it doesn't matter, we can literally get 10 to 15 leaders together at any time on the webinar, but it's the fact that I'm willing to show up, as well as you're willing to show up, and all the other people on this call, and take, if you can take one thing away, if you're one of those people who's an analytical brainiac you can take 50 things away from this call, but if you can take one thing away from sitting on a training like this for a couple of hours and apply it to your business, that one thing can be the thing that takes your business to the next level, that allows you to have that breakthrough, that allows you to find that secret kind of cash machine lead source that blows up your business and gets you from where you're at right now to where you need to be to start taking it to the next level. So at some point you've got to ask yourself, hey, if somebody's sitting here willing to get you to the next level, give me the information, am I willing to sit there and take it? And obviously those of you who are on this webinar are, and it's kind of why we have our eight core steps in place, because there's a few simple things that people need to do to build a business, and I'll tell you what, the majority of people out there are over-complicating it. This stuff is the icing on the cake, man, what we're learning tonight, what we're going over on the 15-day formula, is the stuff that makes million-dollar earners inside of this industry. So anyway, I just thought I'd ramble there for a second, brother, are you back on the call?
Yep, I'm back, dude, I'm back. Okay, all right, cool, bro, back over to you, can you hear me, Dave? Thanks, I appreciate it. Okay, it's 5 a.m. Email your list, number two, you email your unopens, number three, you email those unopens again, okay, and make this into a habit. Give me a second, let me actually go through a walkthrough, let me go into one of these accounts, I have a couple, so I'm not sure, okay, I don't know the username, let me give me a second, what's the login, okay, I'm gonna have to find my password, and yes, I can't stop showing my screen for a second because I don't want 500 people to see my screen, okay, so it should be able to come on now. All right, so here is a list of mine, okay, I have my lists segmented, okay, it should be coming in, hopefully I have the right password. Okay, so basically what mailing unopens means is there are always a certain percentage of people that do not open your emails, okay, when you send an email to say a thousand people, well a handful of them will not open up your email, so what do you do with those? You email them again, okay, you email them again, I'm not really sure why it's not coming on, okay, awesome, okay watch this, all right, so on this email, okay, check this out, I got 1,600 people opening it and I got 1,200 clicks, okay, it's a tiny list, now what this is, this is the interesting part, okay, and if you do this you will double and most likely even triple your clicks and your traffic and even probably your sales, okay, now watch this, how do I turn this thing off, okay, move you to this side, okay, so as you can see it just opened it, and I'll show you what I've got, I've got the same link with it, and I'm opening it, okay, so these are the people that opened it, and now we're going to go over here on unopened, and you can check this out, okay, 14,920 people did not open it, and that's okay too, all right. So now what we're going to do, it's funny, okay, I got to share this quick story, okay, because I just saw this person's email address, anyway, so maybe about two months ago I'm in Singapore, and I'm doing these workshops and these seminars for myself, sharing these videos, all right, it's pretty in Singapore, and this is on the other side of the world, and I'm speaking at this event, and this girl comes along, this girl comes along, shakes my hand, and she goes, "oh, hi, my name is Sandy," and I'm like, "oh okay, I'm Shaqir," and she goes, "yeah, I know who you are," and I said, "so how is the seminar?" and we started talking, and then she goes, "oh, you don't know who I am," and I said, "no, I might, mention who you are," she said, "oh, I'm Sandy, I'm on your Facebook, and I bought a program from you three years ago," and I was like, "what?" and I kind of realized who she was, right, and I asked her, wow, that was the first time I joined an internet marketing program, and it was a kind of a smaller version than say Empower Network, was paying me only 25% commissions, and I spoke to her, and I was like, so what are you doing now? and she's like, "wow, you're speaking in Asia," and I'm like, "yeah, so what are you doing," and she goes, "I tried internet marketing for those two months and then I gave up," and I'm like, "so what do you do now?" and she goes, "I'm in a really crappy job, and I came to this seminar to learn more," and I was like, "so what have you been doing for the last three years," and it just shows, right, that this humbled me and grounded me, and I was like, wow, three years ago I was a broke kid starting in this business, and no one really believed in what I was doing, and I just had to go out and hustle and just do work all day and night and just do whatever it took to get to where I am now, and even now I'm still really working, when I work I work a lot, and it's just funny, anyway, that was a quick story just to tell you guys that no matter where you're at in your life, don't give up, okay, because the journey is what success is, success is the journey, and once you get to a point where you're not worried about money and you're leveraging the systems, it's all worth it, there are long nights, the heartache, the headache, all of this stuff is just all worth it, so wherever you are, don't give up, anyway, that's my motivational rant.
Okay, so we go to here, okay, 14,922 people did not open this email, so now let's write something over here, "14k," and then we're going to do "send to unopens," okay, and we can do "send to segment," now, or "save your segment now," what happens is there's a new list that gets created called "14k unopens," okay, and let me just go over here, I am not too fond of this, okay, this is a headache, all right, so, okay, as you can see my technical experience is not up to scratch, okay, so we can basically send an email to anyone in this 14k list, all right, now, when the 14k list goes out, maybe 10 to 20 percent of people will open that email, but then we are going to have 80 percent of unopens, okay, so what do we do? We mail that again, all right, this is important, all right, I'm not sure if you're understanding this, but you have to be mailing your unopens not once but twice, so you send out the email three times, the only thing that you change, remember, you change the subject lines, okay, so the first one can be, okay, I think the first one can be "free video to make a thousand dollars daily," okay, then the second one can be "regarding..." this is the follow-up email, okay, you must change your subject lines when you send out the email, all right, just keep that as a rule of thumb, you have to do it, the second one can be this, the third one can be, "what's happened, what's wrong with you, why haven't you opened my emails," you don't have to do that, but they are very similar and they are very simple variations, so you can have that too as well, and just remember, three emails, one list, all right, you are going to mail your list, mail your unopens, then mail those unopens again, and you are going to get at least anywhere from 15 to 35% more traffic, that is free traffic that you are leveraging off your email list, and this is cool, so make sure you do it. All right, next, sneaky email tricks that convert more sales: add fake video images, this doubles your CTR, doubles your click-through rate. What is a fake video?
A fake video image, let me see if I can find one, let me see if I can find one, okay, looks like I can't find one, that's weird, okay that's very weird. So for example this is a picture, okay, and this is what I can do, so this picture, all right, if this was a video, this is what I could do, I could add this image, okay, that didn't really pan out too well, all right, let me show you guys how this thing works. Let me just open up, essentially this, oh my god this is nuts, okay, hold on, hold on, hold on. All right, so this is an email, I'm not sending this out because it's got a crazy spam score, okay, so let's just show this, okay, now here is an email, okay, it's kind of long, all of my emails are very long, I take my prospects on a journey, I'm going to show you guys how this works, okay, now watch this, this is an image, okay, this is actually the hotel that I stayed in, in Singapore, awesome hotel, all right, where is it, where is it, okay, so this is an email, it's got 5 or 10 traffic techniques that people can get traffic, blah, okay, it seems like I don't have a picture, okay, basically what a video faker is, is say it's an image like this, okay, it's an image like this, but with a play button that looks like a YouTube button, I don't know where I've got it, I've actually made a slide for you all, to show you, okay, so a fake video image is something like this, okay, this, so what happens is, when people look at it, and you can put this in your email, it's very easy, you can just google it, you'll find it, it's not hard, and then you put this in your email, then what happens is, people think it's a play button and they click on it and it goes to your landing page. And this is what increases your click-through rate.
So I have video images that I use, I have product images that I use, you can get this done, I have pretty much, I think I did it, or someone else did it for me. You can also have banner ads, this is a banner ad, this is an ugly banner ad disguised as a picture that I put in my emails. These are sometimes arrows that if I want to emphasize a point then I just use these arrows. This is what's called a "copy doodle," a copy doodle is writing like this, this is actually not text, this is a picture, see this picture, it looks like text. So I have this and then I have this as well, this is a product image, I want to increase the value, the perception.
When people look at it I want them to say, "wow, do I get all of this for only 25 bucks? Hell yeah!" So I'm going to put that in my email and this is what increases click-through rate, and essentially, obviously, if more people are clicking that means more people are seeing my videos, my sales messages, and more people are buying. Use HTML and text. Sometimes people use only text in the email.
This is what I do, I use HTML, this is HTML, this is how you can put your images in, and then this is called text. One technique I can show you is I always have this at the top and this basically says, "if you don't like me, if you don't like my emails, click here, and you can get off my list." I encourage people to unsubscribe from me because I want my list to be small and I want it to be very responsive. And at the end over here you can see the stuff that I shared with you before about who I am. Just in case they forget who I am, and then it says, "go here to work with me, this is why you're getting this email because you signed up, and if you don't like this you can unsubscribe," and there's an extra unsubscribe link.
In this email alone there's in total four unsubscribe links. That's just the way I market it. I don't know. I want people to come onto my funnel but I want them to get off as well, because I'd rather have a small and tight-knit community than just a whole bunch of other people. Okay.
Strategic link placements: three links and an image is what I found out to increase my click-through rates. Three links in the beginning, middle, and end, have an image. Personality. This is very important. If you don't have a personality, start developing.
Okay. If you think you're not funny, go and read a book on how to be funny. Seriously. Okay. There is no excuses.
This is a business where people buy you. People don't join systems. This is one of the biggest myths and secrets. People don't just join systems. People join you.
People are looking for leadership. People join you and why you do what you do. Not just a system. Not just a community. This is great in anything.
In any business. In life. In general. You have to understand, this business is a people's business. Okay.
You have to be a people's person. If you're not a people's person, that's okay. You just won't make as much money. All right. Because you're not going to be able to take advantage of your own personality, your own story, and people will always have this distance from you.
Okay. With me, in my marketing funnel, people have a very big distance until they join, and then I give them, I guess, some time. If I have a Facebook and a Skype group, that's something that you can do as well. Give personal access. Obviously, if you're in a different business, then you can give maybe email access or some coaching.
If you're in Empower Network, then you can set up a Facebook group and they can get group support from you. I check my Facebook group and my Skype maybe once every few days or whatever and I stay in touch with all of my members. Okay. Also, this is a biggie, bonuses. Okay.
Bonuses, bonuses, bonuses. Sometimes you're new and you're not making any sales. Bonuses work. Okay. Bonuses are bonuses because bonuses work, period.
It's very important. You can give people free stuff. You can basically tell them, hey, listen, if you join in the next three days, I'm going to give you free stuff. People love free stuff. Okay.
So, when you're writing your emails, this is very important, I'm going to share a few persuasion secrets that will help you influence people in the right way. Okay. And there's a couple of them. One is confirming people's suspicions. Okay.
Okay. So, when you're writing your emails, you want to confirm people's suspicions. Okay. People love someone that tells them what they believe already. Okay.
In this industry, they always want to believe that there is a better way. Okay. Just tell them they are right. Okay. In your emails, tell them that this is the better way.
Another one is allaying their fears, allaying your prospects' fears. Okay. People feel safe and like someone that tells them, "don't worry, I'm here for you and I'll make sure you're okay."
Most people get burned in an online business. Most people get overwhelmed. Most people get frustrated. Most people are working their butts off and not getting any results. Okay.
You have to be the person that basically, when you're talking to a prospect, or in your email communication, or you're meeting someone in person and you're having a meeting, you have to allay their fears. Okay. You have to tell them. Just tell them straight up. "Hey, you know what?
It's okay if you've been burned, scammed, ripped off before. This is the community that I've partnered up with and over 75,000 people have joined." So obviously they can't be wrong and they can't all get scammed, can they? You have to allay their fears, and you have to also, this is something that I learned which just seems kind of counterintuitive because I used to think, if you're not doing well, it's your fault. Okay.
Justifying people's failures. Your prospects will always have failures. Okay. Everyone in life has. Now, if you came up to me and we started talking and you said you couldn't do something, and I said, "oh, it's your stupid fault, it's your fault," you won't really like me. Okay.
It's just what it is. Okay. You won't really connect with me at that deeper level. However, if I turned around and said, "you know what?
Your upline didn't teach you the secrets, or those gurus sold you those programs." Okay. And I blame the failures on another culprit.
Okay. What does that do? I'm justifying your failures. All right. And that brings you closer to me.
Okay. Now, I'm just touching on it. If you want to read more, you should read a book called Influence by Robert Cialdini. Wow. It's too late.
Look at my bookshelf. I have over 150 books. What is it? How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. Those two books are more than enough for you to get a good understanding and good grounding on influence, persuasion, that kind of stuff.
Also, this is the thing with conversions. You've got to understand what really ticks off human beings. And one of the most important powers of influence is a concept called reciprocation. Okay. It's when you give good stuff away.
Okay. When you give good stuff away for free, it compels people to give back. And, you know, when I got started years ago, I learned, so when we're young and someone gives us a toy, or a gift, we say thank you.
Because when we get older and someone gives us a freebie or something of high value, we turn around and say, "thank you, here's my credit card, where can I go and buy more of yourself?" All right. So that's a very powerful concept of reciprocation.
So, ask yourself right now, and write this down, so that it encourages you to understand: how can I encourage reciprocation in my marketing? Okay.
Ask yourself that. How can I encourage reciprocation in my marketing? And I give away free tips, free strategies with the knowledge that I don't really care if I don't get anything back. Okay. That's one of the traits of leadership.
Now, more to the point, I know that doing this goodwill, it will come back to me one day or another. So always ask yourself, how can I encourage reciprocation in my marketing? That's something that you should definitely always, always, always ask. Wow.
We have over 400 people still on this webinar. Thank you so much for hanging out and hearing my rambles. I hope you guys are getting some great value out of it. Okay. I only have a few more slides, so cool.
All right. So social media invitation. All right. How can I encourage people to add you on Facebook? Take your, this is basically what happens.
Okay. When people are on your email list, they are pretty much a cold, cold lead. Okay. Pretty much a cold lead. Our goal is to add value and to warm them up so that they convert.
Okay. Let me just make this much smaller. All right. If our goal is to add value, and to warm them up, so that they convert. Our goal is to add value and to get them to convert.
Okay. We want to warm them up. We can warm them up by phoning them, phone and direct mail, and also social media. By the way, direct mail is probably the most powerful follow-up tool in the world. Okay.
If you cannot dismiss direct mail, let me give you a quick strategy. Okay. Let me give you two quick strategies that will make you more money, like instantly. All right. So, number one, phone.
All right. Just do this. The next person that comes into your funnel, all right, I don't usually call up my leads because, even my buyer leads, sometimes I just have too much stuff to do, and I just email them.
But, even now, I am improving because I have a team. They're going to be phoning up and I myself am going to be phoning up some of the buyer leads. Okay. Next person that buys from you, phone them up or email them and schedule a 20-minute free consultation with them. Okay.
That's number one. In that free consultation, you do not pitch anything. All right. All you do, okay, is you tell them they can watch the webinar, the coaching webinar, if they haven't watched it. If they watch it, that's cool.
You give them 20 minutes of pure value. Nothing else. You can go and learn something. If you don't know anything and you don't have the confidence, go and learn something. And then, basically, get on the phone and tell them, "hey, listen, I'm going to teach you the three strategies I've just learned tonight on social media, on solo ads."
Okay. And then, just give them a 20-minute call. And then, after the call, at the end of the call, just tell them, "hey, listen, expect an email in the next two to four hours from me." And send them a follow-up email. And tell them, "hey, I appreciate you.
We had a great conversation." And note down, okay, and this is important, note down their problems, their frustrations, because this is what's going to happen. When you get on the phone, someone's going to basically blurt out all of the frustrations, the challenges, all of that stuff. Okay. What's happening in their life is just how people are.
People love talking about themselves. Okay. I love talking about myself as well, although I'm not going to talk much. So, what's going to happen is you're going to get on the phone. You're going to give them value.
You're going to understand where they're at. Okay. Where are they at mentally, emotionally, financially, physically, wherever they are at. That's cool. Okay.
Wherever they are at. What you're going to do is you're going to send a follow-up email to them. You're going to say, "hey, it was great talking to you, you discussed this, this, this in these areas of your life." If you can relate to them, then relate to them, and you say what your personal experience has been and your personal story.
Remember, everyone has your story. The thing that will differentiate you from anyone else, okay, is your own X factor. Okay. And your own X factor is your own story. You have to use your own story to create a message that is compelling enough that it forces people to follow you and makes you the leader.
Okay. This stuff is not rocket science. You got to get it nailed down, and once you get it nailed down, damn, it's good. Okay. It's great because you write your own ticket for the rest of your life.
You can thank me later. That's the format. All right. And at the end of the call, it's the most important, you give them a call to action.
What the call to action is, hey, if you sign up for the Costa Rica mastermind with the 15K formula, or the Costa Rica master's intensive at 3K, what you're going to do is give them a bonus of one hour a week for four coaching calls for the next month. Okay. And you see, bonuses incentivize people. All right. That's number one.
You make money if you do those strategies. Okay. At least a good 90% chance you can make money. I'm not going to guarantee you. But if you do it correctly, if you follow up and do it multiple times, you will get some sort of result.
Okay. Next one is direct mail. Next person that buys a $25 or $100 product from you, just get them on the phone or email them and say, "hey, if you're comfortable sending me your address, I'd like to give you a gift." And you know what you do?
You send them your favorite book. Okay. So one book that I pretty much, I read a lot of books, but one of them is The 4-Hour Workweek. Okay. So I would give away The 4-Hour Workweek.
Okay. So I read a guy called Paulo Coelho and another guy called Brendon Burchard. And what I do is I buy about five or ten books from these guys at a time so I can give them away. And this is what you can do. Okay.
The next person that buys a $25 or $100 product, get their email address, get their home address, and say you got a free fast-action gift for them. Okay. Get a book. Send them the book and include a handwritten letter or a typed-up letter that says, "hey, thanks so much, blah blah blah. Here's my story of how I got started and I've had X result, or I'm working with these guys and they've got X results.
And if you haven't upgraded yet, make sure you get all of the products and you'll see the conversion that you have." Okay. Because it's a different conversation when someone receives a physical book or a physical gift into their house. All right. It's a different event.
Remember, you're not just triggering reciprocation, you're giving away a gift. All right. So anyway, those are the two powerful things that I can tell you now.
In terms of social media, damn, it's 5:30. I'll finish up. Let me see. Okay. Wow.
There's still so many people on this webinar. All right. I love you guys. Okay. So here.
Check this out. Okay. Facebook. Where is it? Okay.
Here. Look. Facebook me. Okay. At the end of my name, for my signature, or my email, I've got my email address.
Okay. So here. Check this out. Okay. Facebook.
Where is it? I've got Facebook because I'm getting them to connect with me on Facebook. And no, not all the time, especially because I have too many friends on this thing, so basically people have to subscribe to this feature, I think, over here.
Okay. I mean, I use Facebook, but I should be using it a lot more. It's just, you know, this is just a distraction. Okay.
It's a great conversion tool. And it is a great conversion tool. And then people message me, I check these messages, but I don't ever check these notifications and stuff. And, oh, here's the psychology behind this. Okay.
Now, obviously, I'm going to use this dating psychology. Okay. Because it's great. Now, you can understand this. Now, when a guy goes to pick up a woman, right, if he meets her in a bar, and then he straightaway goes, let's go from the bar into a different place.
Okay. Let's go from a club or from a bar into a different restaurant, right, because he is moving the prospect. He's moving her. That's so funny. That's so funny.
Okay. I find it funny anyway. So, it's late night, guys, so, all right. So the guy meets a girl at a bar.
And then, from the bar, he takes her to a restaurant. Okay. And then, from the restaurant, he takes her to a hotel. And this is what happens. And I learned a few things.
I learned, within three to five seconds, how do you express, how do you convey that authoritative message by tonality? I learned how to control my tonality, how to stand up and walk around the room and talk and sit on the phone. It was okay. It actually was great. I actually loved doing it.
I stopped because, obviously, I found easier ways, but when I was starting, I didn't have many results, so here's what I would do. I would basically say, "hey, listen, in this call, I'm going to expose the five dangerous mistakes that 97% of people make when starting a home-based business, would you be interested?" And I'd say, well, yes or no. And the people that would say yes, boom, that's it.
And I'm not saying I'm going to do it, I'm not saying that you should do this, it's just what I used to do, because I'm just sharing so that you get a good understanding of the underlying mechanisms, okay, the mechanics of it. So I would basically get on the phone and say, "hey, listen, if you're interested in starting an online business, I've got to tell you first that 97% of people fail online because of these five critical components. Do you want to know what these five critical components are?"
Then I'd be, yes, I'd be like, "okay, I'm really busy right now, so what I can do is schedule a call with you, okay?" And then I used to call them back maybe a day or two days later, I'd say, "okay, so now I'm going to expose the five dangerous mistakes that 97% of people make. Number one, they don't have a mentor.
They don't have someone that shows them, guides them. They don't have a sponsor or an upline that takes care of them or even shows them the path. Okay, number two, they don't have a community. In this business, if you don't have the friends and family supporting you, a lot of the time the lack of belief, the lack of results breaks you down and burns you down and you start giving up. And that's when you start chasing the next shiny
object syndrome, and then you go round and round in circles, and six months later, you still don't get any results, and you go to all these guru seminars and buy all these products and you still don't get any results. Number three is that they don't have an automated system, as in they don't have a system that sells for you. And so the average person has to learn how to sell, and most people can't sell, and, if you want to sell, that's okay, but, most people can't sell, and because they get rejected so many times, the fear and that so-called rejection. Number four, they don't have a product that pays 50%, at the time it was like 30% to 50% commission. Obviously, with Empower Network, you get 100% commission.
So if I was to rephrase that and say, you know what, most online products and services, if you promote, you only get 20%, 30%, 40% commission, but one of the biggest dangerous mistakes is most people are actually doing that, and that's why they're not making any of the high-end big money income. So that's 30% commission. And then, the last one, would be, "hey, you know what, most people don't have an actual sales funnel." So they might have one or two products that are 50 to 100 or 500 bucks, but you have to have a high-end, back-end income so that you make the now income, the residual income, and the back-end income, and that's how you become financially free and you get time freedom and money freedom.
And usually they would say, "wow, how do you know these five dangerous mistakes?" And I'm like, yeah. So here's the thing, I just recently, and this was when I didn't even have results, okay. They fail. Like, damn, this guy gets me, wow, this guy just educated me on the five dangerous mistakes, he's the expert, okay, and usually, I just think about it, okay.
So in your marketing, you want to come across as that person, okay, it doesn't mean that you have to be a guru or you have to generate a thousand leads a day, most people are happy with generating five or ten leads a day, okay, if you can't even generate five or ten leads a day, that's okay too, you're just on a journey, okay, just realize it's a journey, all right. All of this stuff that I'm sharing with you is nothing more than a process, all right. How you drive a car, driving your car is nothing more than a process that you learn. Making money, growing a business, all of this stuff is just a skill and a process that you're learning, and it's great that you're here learning. All right, why I said all of this stuff was so that you have an understanding when you're implementing and you're extracting and you're giving out value, okay, this is the kind of stuff that you have to be doing.
This is how you convert people. All right. What is the cost investment, all right, obviously people are going to be asking you what is the cost. Usually when anyone ever asks me, I usually just refer back to the system, I say it's not a cost, it's an investment in yourself and your life if you want what's best for you. All right, so show them that they can do it, show some tasks that they are sure that they can perform, all right, and when they see that they can do this, they don't care about the cost because it's within reach.
You can also tell them why it works, tell them what they need to do to make it work, tell them the process of getting customers, the process of selling customers, okay, that you have a system where the customers are duplicating and people are getting results. Most importantly, this is why, when you show complete transparency, okay, that's when you will convert the most, all right, and this will demonstrate at the highest level that they can trust you. Once they trust you, they will buy from you indefinitely. Stuff like "I don't have any money," that's just an excuse.
When people say they don't have any money, usually it basically means they don't believe in what you have, okay, they don't believe that what you have is good for them, they don't believe the system actually works. Oh, here's the third one and this is scary. They don't believe in what you have. They don't believe that even if they bought, that you will support them, all right, so you got to, in your marketing, you got to come across like overcoming all of these objections, and it's simple, like I said, you learn a skill, you learn a technique, a strategy, and you go and teach that to as many people as you can without the expectation of getting anything back, all right, give without expecting anything back. That's what leaders do.
Make sure you do it. How do I get it? You just tell them this is what you have to do to go and get it, and you incentivize them with this. You incentivize them with bonuses so that they take action urgently. Okay, and when you lay out, hey, buy this product, join the system and then within 24 hours you'll get a call, and when you state these action items, okay, on your part to the prospect purposefully, right, and you deliver on that promise, you gain that trust.
I mean, you gain that trust. They will believe in you. They will be more easily and more susceptible to go and buy all of the backend and upsells and any other programs and services that you want to add on to. All right. The mechanics of conversions is really this: pre-sell everything via articles, videos, reviews, stories, press releases, blog content, your conversations on the phone, direct mail, social media.
Conversions occur when your prospect feels understood, okay, understand the target market, understand the needs of the target market. Okay. Understand what? Understand what people go through when they are going to sleep, okay. What would happen in their life if you solve the prospect's problem, okay?
What would it be worth to them? What would it be worth to you if you can help solve that problem? All right. Bonuses, obviously bonuses incentivize. Use effective copy in your marketing pieces to compel prospects to take action, okay.
This includes power words. There's a difference between $10 words and $100 words. Go and learn the basics of copywriting, because that is the glue that will help you turn traffic into money, okay. If you don't have anything about copywriting, you can read a great book.
There's a great book called The Ultimate Sales Letter. It's one of the books that I advise everyone read. I actually always buy lots of copies so that I can send to my friends and family. And to my new clients, but if they haven't actually read it, right, it's an awesome book. It's like 10 pounds, or $10, or something.
The Ultimate Sales Letter, by Dan Kennedy. Learn about copywriting, headlines, writing headlines, email copy, excuse me, take a sip of water. All right. Next one. Move your prospects through a mental journey of attaining results in advance and helping them see themselves as a better person.
All right. Remember, if I said, "hey, you're about to learn how to get 500 leads a day," okay, to an extent that's sexy, but that's still boring. If I turn the conversation around and said, "hey, you're about to finally discover the secrets to getting 500 leads a day so that you can really become a traffic machine that writes their own paycheck for the rest of your life, taking control of your own economy," okay, there's a huge difference between both of them. One is just to get leads, and the other says, "this is what you can do, but here's who you can become." Okay.
And remember, people, not just online, people in the world are looking for leadership, okay. People are looking for a way out. If you show them that, "boom, here's the way out, man, here's the way out, baby, you've got to go do X, Y, Z, you've got to listen to me because I know what's going down," okay. I'm on a mission.
And even if you haven't made any money, that's fine. That's fine. If you haven't made any money, that's okay. And just say, "hey, you know what?
I haven't made any money with this system. Yeah, but I know the vision that these guys are going for, and I want to make it happen, and I want you on my team, and we're going to do this together," all right. If you have that conviction inside of yourself, if you believe in this strong enough, that belief, okay, that belief is transferred, that energy is transferred into someone else, all right. When that happens, people will go way above and beyond to come and join your team, to give you money, okay. So that's really important.
All right. I should, oh my God, I think it's 6 a.m. Okay, so why is effective sales copy important, what do you have to do, effective sales copy does all of these things, okay. It gets attention.
It keeps it. Highlights interest, generates intrigue and curiosity, is visually inviting, speaks to a single person, communicates clearly, is entertaining to read and hear, offers to solve a unique problem, offers to bring prospects pleasure, offers results of pleasure without effort or discomfort required to gain it, enhances desire by making the desired pleasure obtainable or quickly attainable, overcomes objections, removes risks, creates urgency to buy. Has a strong call to action and tells the reader what to do and where to go, okay. This is why copy is very important. You must, must read at least one book on copy, okay.
It costs 10 bucks and maybe one day of your time. And I promise you, your marketing efforts, the way you think, the way you react and behave in terms of what you're trying to achieve, it will change, okay. Because then you're going to learn, excuse me, the benefits and emotional currency, okay. You're going to know the distinction between your stuff and your prospects' needs, okay. You're going to know the difference between features, advantages, and benefits, and how you'll be able to help someone go to that next level because you understand exactly where the pain points are.
And you can, not in a manipulative way, but in a way that serves them, create value that moves them forward. Okay. Don't forget copywriting, inject your own personality into all your marketing campaigns and promotions. This is like the glue that will help you convert more, okay. Most people don't have any sort of personality, and your personality and your story need to come across to someone, all right.
Because there's people out there that are looking for you to lead them, all right. So don't waste it. Don't sell yourself short, don't sell yourself away. Okay. Don't sell yourself short on that.
That's why marketing is just really important. It's just a whole new game. I hope this has opened your eyes up more than just to getting traffic and making money. This is a game of leadership. Your conversions are directly related to how much leadership you have, okay.
How much, what kind of marketing message you put out there that forces, that enables people to make a comfortable decision buying into you and then buying into their system. Okay. Five-step, step-by-step sequence to sales copy that gets customers. The headline. Okay.
Work on a headline that gets attention. Tell them what you've got. Okay. So you can say, "hey, finally," let me at least think of one, "true story - finally, after years of frustration and pain of trying to make money online, I've just partnered up with these two ex-losers, David Wood and David Sharpe.
Sorry, guys. David Wood and David Sharpe. And now I'm committed to helping 150 other new members or other serious entrepreneurs join my team for 2013." Okay.
Something like that. It's 6 a.m. so my head's still buzzing. Tell them what you've got. Okay.
So here's the system that I've got. It's an internet marketing system that enables people to learn how to market online, to market any products or services online. Okay. You can resell and make as much as up to 100% commissions. Tell them what it's done for you and what it's done for others.
Okay. If you've made money, then you obviously talk about how much money you've made and the results that you've got. And if you don't want to talk about money and you haven't got any results, that's fine as well. Tell them what it's done for you. What it's done for me is it's finally given me a clear road path and a clear gateway to not only have the belief and confidence that I can do this, but a clear structure with like-minded people around me that actually care about where I'm going and what I'm achieving.
Over the next three to six months, this is my vision, this is my goal. Tell them what it can do for them too. Okay. If you're struggling with frustration, overwhelm, and a lack of results, this winning community has been turning average people into above-average
income earners. Okay.
And the fifth one, you basically just ask for the sale. You say, "hey, boom, you know what? If you're interested, if you like what you see, here's what you need to do to get started." Okay.
So it's headline, give them attention, you tell them, "I've got, here's what you do, here's what to do next," and then that's it, okay, those are pretty much the three to five steps that you need. And okay, next one, this is how you strategically structure your follow-up messages, videos, to maximize conversions. There's a formula to bond the information you're delivering by email to your prospects with the intention of increasing the goodwill, okay, building up reciprocation and resulting in sales. When writing your emails or your videos, here's the basic criteria that you want to follow: a headline, okay, attention-grabbing headline, what's the lesson about, what are you going to teach them, what is it going to inform them about, what's the benefit to the prospect viewing this, reading this, remember people have that radio station inside their head, "what's in it for me," so you've got to tell them straight from the get-go, "hey, in this three-minute video I'm going to expose the three dangerous mistakes," or "the three secrets about solo ad lead generation I just learned from a guy who gets up to a thousand leads a day, here's the three best things that I've learned." I hope you've learned at least three things, thank you, "here's the three things that I've learned, if you're interested, blah," you listen, we're going to teach, entertain, educate, remember, the lesson is the value that you give that connects with people, okay, that's what gives you authority, that's what gives you trust, and that's what gets people to know, like, and trust you, okay. Connect how your lesson relates to your service, product, opportunity: "here's the three lessons that I learned about solo ads, you can go to ClickBank, you can go get, contact buyers, contact product owners that have got thousands of buyer leads, you can basically contact website owners to find targeted solo ads, you can also negotiate and never pay a rate card like I do, usually I like to go to the trunk, which is like some of the sites I would visit, and we buy good ones, we buy cheap ones, we sell..." those are the three things I just learned about solo ads. "Now, after learning about solo ads, this is how to get traffic, I wanted to go and find a product or service that is a high-converting sales funnel, and after researching the market, Empower Network came in," or if you have your own product or service you can put that in, okay, that's how you connect your traffic, that's how you connect the lesson that you're talking about to the product and service that you're marketing. Next one is the call to action link, okay, to get your sales page, or the thing you want people to go and buy, okay. So I have a headline, lesson, connecting or bridging, and then the call to action link, all right.
This is just 11 quick ways to increase your conversions for your business, I want to be doing this in 2013, especially for the Empower Network business, and for two of my other businesses I'm going to be doing this. I'm doing pretty much about 75% of these already, I'm going to make sure that I do 100% of them for 2013, I strongly advise you this is something that you all should be doing to build up not just the Empower Network business but to build your own business, okay, to build your own brand. All right, remember, Empower Network is an incubator, this is where they're creating entrepreneurs and people that can market, so that you learn these skills that will serve you for the rest of your life, right. So number one... number two... and number three was starting to get out in the next five years, okay, my goal is to become a New York Times bestseller in the next 12 to 24 months, so I'm pretty driven to make that happen. Publish articles, guest posts on authority blogs, blog posts on related websites, content websites, whatever your niche is, find other niches and then contact them and pay for a blog post, or, most of the time it's free, and if they don't give it to you free, then pay 10, 20, or 50 bucks or whatever it is. Host a blog, build your own authority blog as well, that way you control the entire frame, okay, you control everything when you have your own blog as well, so not just use other blogs, build your own authority blog too, okay, so that you become an authority and you can start sharing content. Utilize social media, build a following, that's how you create raving fans that bring you more clients, more referrals. Create a YouTube channel, optimize it, brand yourself with those videos. If YouTube is not panning out for you then start using sites like Wistia, Vimeo.com. Number six, become a professional speaker, speaking is probably the highest paid job in the world, and it's absolutely awesome. If you're someone who's ever thinking of doing speaking, I would 100% advise everyone to get into speaking, it not just helps you get out of your comfort zone but it also helps you make a bunch of money, because it really is probably one of the easiest ways to make a lot of money, but it's just a great thing. I got started speaking at events when I was 21 years old, seems like a lifetime ago, so it's been a good few years I've been speaking on stage and traveling around the world, so it's fun stuff. Be a guest on internet radio shows, there's a couple of resources that I've put down, BlogTalkRadio, AllTalkRadio, WomansRadio.com. Number eight, host your own radio show, this kind of stuff is very simple, you can just go on Google and type in "how to host your own radio show," start a podcast, this is how you get more listeners into your funnel, how you convert more, how you become an authority. Host teleseminars, you can check out InstantTeleseminar.com, FreeTeleseminar.com. Number 10, host online events, webinars, live events, webinars really position you as the go-to expert, especially when you're interviewing other people, if someone in your team is getting results, you interview them and do a webinar, okay, you always pitch, just give that good value content, webinars go for any business, okay. Live events, plan a live event even with 50 or 100 people, you can check out Eventbrite.com. Number 11, claim your expertise. Number 12, I haven't got it written down, but I would say number 12 is this, I can't even talk anymore, okay, so number 12 is this: own your greatness, okay, let me repeat that, own your greatness. All right, you have so much, just by even listening to this webinar you've probably soaked up more knowledge, this kind of stuff costs, I've invested well over $150,000 into my own education, traveling around the world to learn this sort of information, I'm giving all this stuff away on a silver platter for everyone, I don't want anything in return, I'm not doing it to score brownie points with anyone, it's just what it is, it's just how I roll, okay, and my voice is going so I think I'm going to have to, hey Dave, are you around? Well, here's the thing on your greatness, okay, when you own your greatness this happens unconsciously: you give yourself permission to succeed, when you give yourself permission to succeed internally, your confidence, your self-esteem increases, when your confidence and self-esteem increase, your ability to take action, to fail forward, to move forward when things don't go well, you're still getting up, back up, when you lose on a marketing campaign, you don't really care, you're going to wake up the next day and start another five campaigns, okay. So it's very important that you own your greatness, it all starts from owning your greatness and working from there, all this other stuff is just tactics, strategies, techniques, work on the inner game, okay, look, and I appreciate everyone for your time, thank you for staying with me.
Hey man, what's up? Yo, I think I have gone on for way too long, you just, you know, you've just over-delivered, rather, which is absolutely what I expected from you, man, so this stuff is all really good, this is something that people could go back through several times, man, and every single comment is just raving about how much people appreciate this, man, so I mean, you're just a gangster, dude. Thanks, I appreciate everyone on the call, just go out and make it happen, it's all there, everything that you need is here, focus. Dave and Dave, thanks for having me, I don't know how many hours I've gone on for, I guess I went from two o'clock to, wow, six or seven, so I'm kind of losing my voice, I think I need to go and get some tea.
Well, hey man, there's nothing really that I have to add to this, if you're good I'm just going to tell people they need to go back through and watch this probably one or two more times over the next weekend, because there were several things in there, I really think you came out here and just kind of put your heart out there on the line, man, and just gave everything you could give in a four-hour session, which is how long you went for here, man, so I appreciate it, there's a lot of things I picked up here tonight, man, and we've got leaders on the call, and the cool thing about Empower Network is we've got leaders on the call, I see Ryan Tate on the call, I saw Aaron Rashkin on the call, I see Roger Silveira on the call, I mean there's just an unbelievable amount of people, and I can scroll through, we've still got almost 400 people on the call tonight after four hours, I mean there's Val Taylor, how you doing, good to see you on the call, there's just so many people, this is just really a place that leaders come to get trained, man, so I appreciate everything you did tonight, and if you don't have anything else, that's going to be a wrap.
Okay, well, sounds good. All right, guys, we'll talk to you later, appreciate you guys, love you, and we'll talk to you soon. All right, bye.
See you, Dave. The organizer has ended the session and this call will be disconnected. Goodbye.
