The Highest-Paid Marketers Don’t Have Better Tactics. They Changed This First.
You bought the traffic course. Then the solo ad course. Then the blog syndication training. Each one told you the exact tactic you were missing, and you learned every single one of them, and the number in your back office still isn’t behaving the way the sales page promised it would.
That’s not a tactics problem. There’s more strategy sitting on your hard drive right now than you’ll use in the next two years. The real gap between you and the people producing serious numbers inside this exact same company was never information. It was something they changed about themselves before any tactic started working for them.
Dave Sharpe built this particular session around something unusual. Instead of one teacher walking through one system, he put nearly a dozen of the company’s highest-paid marketers on the same call, back to back, and asked each one the same real question: what actually changed in you before the income did. Chris Record, Aaron Rashkin, and a marketer introduced simply as Vic each took a turn, and the pattern across every story was identical. None of them credited a tactic. Every one of them credited a shift that happened before any tactic ever worked.
Why doesn’t stacking another tactic fix a business that’s stuck?
Chris Record’s path into this industry started in 1998, then a run with a company most of you know as the “big A-dog,” and years of showing up to meetings, listening to tapes, and building just enough of a team to stay in the game without ever breaking through. He didn’t drop out of school and land somewhere lucky. He worked a demanding corporate job the entire time, treating this business as roughly an hour a day squeezed around a full-time career and two kids.
The shift he points to wasn’t a new platform or a better ad. It was recognizing that the skills he’d already spent years building, rapport, recruiting, presenting, were enough to start producing right now, instead of waiting until he’d also mastered solo ads, paid traffic, and copywriting before he’d let himself begin.
As Chris Record puts it, describing the mindset shift directly: “Well, the activities are fairly irrelevant. It doesn’t really matter what activities that you do. What’s most important is having a proper mindset and a proper foundation. Because once you have the mindset that you’re going to be successful, once you have the mindset that you’re going to become a leader, that people want to know.”
That’s the actual mechanic underneath his story: use what you already know how to do while you’re learning the rest, instead of treating every unfamiliar skill as a locked door you have to open before you’re allowed to start. Wait for full competence in every tactic first, and you’ll still be waiting long after somebody with half your skill set has been in motion for a year.
What’s actually different about people who break through a ceiling they’ve been stuck at for years?
Aaron Rashkin’s segment covers something most tactic-focused training skips entirely: the reason people who genuinely want a different result keep landing back in the same place. They want the income change, the lifestyle change, the freedom. But when the moment comes to actually be different, not just do a new activity for a week, they retreat to the pattern that already feels safe.
As Aaron Rashkin explains it: “But yet when it comes to going outside their comfort zone to make changes in not just what they do, but who they are, they go back to the old patterns and the habits that have gotten them in the position they’re in in the first place.”
His reframe is blunt: the comfort zone isn’t safety, it’s where results stop. It’s the zone where nothing changes, because the habits producing your current results are the exact habits you’re protecting when you stay inside it. That’s a different diagnosis than “you need a new strategy.” It’s “you need to tolerate being uncomfortable on purpose, deliberately, before the tactic even matters.”
How do you close the gap between where you are and the people you’re already learning from?
The clearest mechanic on the whole call comes from the marketer introduced as Vic, describing advice a mentor gave him early on about proximity. Most people treat “learning from someone” as watching their videos from a comfortable distance. His mentor’s version of the same idea was considerably more physical.
He said, Vic, if you know that somebody that you admire is on the plane going from Chicago to LA, right? And you live in Chicago or whatever, and you want to do whatever you can to be with that person, if possible. Okay. Get yourself a plane ticket. Get yourself seated next to him, if possible, on the plane.
The point isn’t literally chasing strangers onto flights. It’s that most people confuse listening to someone with modeling them, and those are two different activities entirely. Listening means you absorbed what they said. Modeling means you got close enough to see what they actually do, which is frequently a different thing than what they say in a webinar. Vic’s version of this: buy the product, get inside the community, ask how questions instead of why questions. “Why can’t I get the result they got” produces excuses. “How did they structure this specific piece” produces a next action you can take today.
Across the whole panel, the same handful of mechanics kept resurfacing under different names:
- A genuinely specific target for what the result looks like, not a vague wish to “do well.”
- Believing the outcome is already true for you before the evidence shows up to confirm it.
- Deliberately controlling what you consume and who you spend time around, not leaving it to whatever’s on in the background.
- Modeling what someone actually does, not just what they say from a stage.
- Giving more value than you’re being paid for, on the theory that the payoff always lags the contribution.
None of that is a traffic strategy. It’s the layer underneath every traffic strategy, and it’s the layer this particular panel spends nearly four hours insisting actually decides the outcome.
What do you do with this before the next lesson?
Pick one thing from that list you’ve been skipping, not because it’s hard to understand, but because it’s uncomfortable to actually do. If you’ve been consuming a leader’s content instead of studying what they do, buy in and study the mechanics directly. If you’ve been waiting to feel fully ready before you use the skills you already have, stop waiting and start producing with what’s already in your hands.
The full session runs considerably longer than what’s covered here: Tracy Walker’s take on building leaders instead of doing the work for them, Tony Rush and Chuck Marshall on personal responsibility, Shaqir Hussain’s early breakdown of list-building through solo ads, and the complete versions of every story summarized above. That full recording and transcript are part of the 15K Formula course. The entire course, including this lesson and everything built on top of it, is available for $99 through the 15K Formula course.
Get the course, watch the full panel, and pick the one uncomfortable thing you’re going to do differently this week.

Hey guys, I believe you can hear me. I'm going to open up the questions. If you guys can just pop "yes we can hear you" into the chat box, just to let me know that you guys can hear me, that would be super cool. This is Dave Sharp here, just doing a quick audio check.
Hey, let me know if you guys can hear me or not. GoToWebinar, web events made easy. Welcome to the webinar. You have entered as an organizer and may now speak to any other organizers or panelists on the line.
When you are ready to begin the presentation, press star 1 to allow all attendees to hear you. This system will notify you once you begin your broadcast. Attendees are in listen-only mode. Hey guys, what's going on? This is Dave Sharp, having some technical difficulties here.
So just give me a quick second. We are here. Let me try to get myself a backup organizer. Hold on a second. My internet just cut out right in the middle of me trying to log on here.
Hold on a second. Let's see here. Got people piling on. Make presenter. Toby and Layla, I am going to switch it over to your screen here real quick.
Let me know if you guys can hear me. Hey, what's up? Hey, brother, can you hear me? Yeah.
Oh, sweet, man. Well, hey, listen, guys, just wanted to get myself a backup organizer. I'm gonna pull Toby and Layla out here first. I'm actually sitting here on a backup internet connection. But, you know, I'm going to start this training off here just kind of giving you a 30-second nugget, guys.
If I could tell you one thing, and I know that a lot of you are sitting around just like I did when I first got started, looking for the guru secret, kind of looking for the push-button secret software, the slot machine that's going to pull in a million visitors to your website — I'm going to tell you something. Sometimes in life, sometimes in business, you just got to have some good old damn tenacity, right? And some good old damn perseverance.
And you've got to be creative in finding solutions. And, you know, I'm going to tell you that one thing that I did when I first got started in this business was I was tenacious as a mother sucker. I mean, I just didn't give up. And you know, I got an email from a guy today, and he expected me to reply to this email.
I forget how he got my email address, but he said, I'm going to talk to you guys frank, just like all the trainers are going to talk to you frank and straightforward on this webinar tonight, because that's why you're here — because you're a leader, because you're looking for good leadership training, the stuff that we talk about behind the scenes, not the stuff that we're talking about with the people who are just kind of dipping their toe in the water, thinking about getting ready to get ready. And he said, you know, I'm thinking about quitting. And you know, I just thought to myself for a second — I never, when I first got started, thought about quitting, just because I had no other options, right? I had no other options when I first got started in this business. And I don't care if you've got money or you don't have money.
I don't care what you're looking for in life. If you're looking to be rich, if you're looking to stand on stage in front of 4,000 people, or if you're just looking to get out there and share your message, right, for most of you who are serious and who are going to make it big in this industry, there is no other option in your life, right? And again, it doesn't have to be about money or finances. And that's the attitude that I had when I first got started in this business.
So that's the mindset that I want to start this training off with — that if you're going to make it, and you're going to make millions, or you're going to be successful, or you're going to go out there and impact and influence people in the world, you've got to have a one-track mind. It's kind of like horses at the track. They've got blinders on. They're focused, right? And actually, we just put out an episode on today's ENTV show that talked about being so focused that you create a result, and then people start to edify you, and that's when magic starts to happen.
When you start getting in front of audiences and people like myself and Dave and our leaders start to edify you and let people know who you are, that's when your life changes. But you have to be focused at the very beginning of your business to create some sort of a result or some sort of a story for yourself. And I think Toby and Layla are going to share, as are some of the other people who are going to pop out tonight, a story about somebody on their team who went and created a result. And now, guess what? Leaders and people who are out there making things happen, they're looking for success stories on their team so they can share it with people to create social proof out there in the marketplace that what they're doing is working. So there's a couple of ways to make it big in this industry, but they all start with the same formula, and that's focus, to create your very first result. And I'm going to be honest with you.
When I first got started, and I still do this today, I sell the next thing with the last result. So I go and I create a result — whether it's, I went and got four leads, and I'm going to show you how to get four leads when you put your email in to the page. On the next page, I'm going to break that down for you. That's a formula. It's basically stair-stepping your way to success.
Hey, my name's Dave Sharp. I'm just getting started, but I went and generated four leads for free on Facebook, and on the next page, I'm going to show you exactly how I did it. A lot of you think that you have to have this big, crazy result. You don't. You just have to go and stair-step your way to success.
You don't have to have this big, crazy result. You sell your next product or your next opportunity with your last result, no matter how small it is. So with that being said, I'm going to turn it over to Toby and Layla. I know you guys are in the Dominican right now on vacation with your family, but damn it, you're proving what I just talked about, which was tenacity. And I tell you, you guys are two of the most tenacious badasses that I know on this earth.
So I'm going to just turn it over to you guys here, and we're just going to kick this thing off. Toby, Layla, can you guys hear me? Hello, hello. Hey, can you guys hear me? So what's stopping you?
Welcome to GoToWebinar, web events made easy. Self-aware. We didn't change who we were as a person. Our hairstyles change all the time. Our tattoos change.
But who we are stayed the same. We didn't change who we are. We just became more aware. We just became more productive.
We really became the best versions of ourselves that were already in existence. They were already inside of us. We just didn't know. We didn't know what we didn't know. We didn't know that we were letting our emotions control us.
We didn't know that we could operate from an abundance mentality. We didn't know that. I was brought up with a lack mentality. You know, you've got to hold on to everything that you've got until you're buried in the ground, because you want to have security and you want to be safe. So that's what I knew.
That's what I thought I knew. That's what I thought was real. But you didn't know what you didn't know. So the fastest way to obviously know what you don't know, and start to know it more and know it more so it becomes second nature, is by doing exactly what you're doing — investing in your education, listening to daily audio, listening to your videos, and what we think is the most important is seeking out mentors and modeling them.
For an example, last season in golf — for us we have the seasons in Canada, obviously, because the snow comes — last summer was the first time that I played golf in about 11 years. So when I first came back at it, I sucked. I could barely hit the ball. I was all over the place. And so what I did is I went on YouTube and I watched the Golf Network and I watched some other people, and I modeled exactly what they did.
How did they approach the ball? What were they thinking when they went to the ball? What did they do with the club when they stood there? What did they do afterwards? So you have some of the best leaders in the world with Dave Wood and David Sharp, not to mention the dream team, like Aaron Rashkin, Chris Record.
I mean, the dream team that the Empower Network family has is absolutely unstoppable. So what you have to do is seek out these mentors. Now, I don't mean by harassing them on the phone one on one.
I mean, simply watching their videos daily. For example, Layla, how many times have you and I watched Dave Wood and Dave Sharp's video for the $25 basic level? Over and over and over again. And I'm telling you, the new one is kick-ass. So just that example — we emulate and model the people that have what we want.
The fastest way for you to get there, guys, the fastest way for you to, just like I did in Ohio, learn that little side road trick by modeling every single person you're going to hear on tonight and every single person in the Empower Network who has what you want. But if you're thinking that little trick, that little secret, that little shortcut is, you know, a Facebook strategy or a solo ad strategy — I'm sorry to say, but you're wrong. Because people ask us all the time, what's your secret? How did you — well, from living in the basement of a bar, dropping out of university, everybody wrote us off — to making more than my mom makes all year at her job, working 40 hours a week.
I make more than she does in a month. So how did that happen? It didn't happen from that little secret tip. It happened from within us. And, you know, I think that's one of the biggest takeaways that you can take from this whole webinar — that it is within you.
It's right there. It's just waiting to come out. I'm telling you, one of the biggest, most impactful events I've ever been to in my whole entire life was in Austin. And I think so many people — I know you guys are raising your hand right now, right? Yes, it was one of the most impactful events I've ever been to.
And if you saw what happened in that event, if you saw what happened after that event — people's checks went nuts. People's teams went berserk. Now, did you guys learn a how-to there? Did you learn a secret strategy? Did you learn a little ninja trick?
No, you learned what was already inside of you. You learned how to release that. So one of the things that — going kind of back to these "why-not-tos" — it's funny because we talk about how you don't know what you don't know. Most people don't even realize that they're walking around with why-not-tos on why not to be successful. And when I wrote down some of the things — why not to be successful?
Well, why wouldn't you want to be successful? Maybe, like Lawrence Tam, you had an association with money where money was bad. People that were rich were, you know, not so nice. And yet you were brought up with that stigma. Maybe you're worried that it won't last.
So you self-sabotage. But you probably are walking around with these why-not-to-be-successfuls in your head, and you're not even aware of them. So awareness, understanding what color those sunglasses are, what shades you're looking through in the world, and the fact that you can take them off — that is when the magic happens. That is when you have the breakthrough. That is when success knocks on your door.
So guys, from Layla and I wrapping it up here — make sure you're diving through every single piece of content you possibly can when it comes to mindset, awareness, and development, because that truly is the secret that ends up changing your life. And Dave, Dave, you guys there? If there's anything — I'm not finished yet — if there's anything that you do right now, one thing, one action step: go get your ticket to Chicago.
I think it may be sold out. I'm not sure. I saw a shop post the other week there, and I think it was pretty much sold out. Oh my gosh, that is crazy. Okay, so you probably already have your ticket to Chicago, but you have got to be there.
You must be there. If you are serious about your breakthrough, about being successful, that's the only place to be. We are kicking it back to you, Mr. David Wood, Mr. David Sharp.
I'm going to make you present. I love you guys. Thank you so much for everything that you do for us and the whole Empower Network family. Are you guys there? Yeah, I'm here, my brother.
I'm here. You guys enjoy your vacation down there. Love you guys. See you soon. Thanks so much, man.
Thanks for having us on. Okay, cool, cool, cool. All right, I'm going to switch it over to Chris Record here. Hold on a second. I'm going to make you presenter, brother.
Chris, let me know if you're on. I'm on. Can you hear me? Yeah, I sure am. Hey, guys, for those of you who don't know Chris, just a quick intro.
This guy's a rock star. He's been working a full-time job. He's, I believe, a high-level marketing executive at a company that he's got quite a bit of stock in. I don't know if you're an owner in that company or not. And he's also been making a full-time income inside of this industry for a long time, but part-time in his business.
This guy's an expert in a lot of different things in this industry. And if you don't know this guy, I'm sure you do — if you own the 15K Formula, he broke down some magic in some of the previous modules. This is a guy who you want to know, who you want to listen to. This is a guy that we're happy to have on board, because his experience, the things that he knows, the things that he talks about are priceless.
So with that being said, man, I appreciate you, brother. Glad that you're on. And I'm going to shoot it over to you. Go ahead, bro.
And it's my pleasure to share. And I'll be brief here. I know that we've got some other leaders. They're going to be coming out in just a second. So, you know, for those of you that don't really know me, I have been in this industry for a while now.
I got my first start back in 1998 with a company that, it was a network marketing company that sold technology products. And then from there, I went to basically the big A-dog. You've heard David Wood reference it as Ramway. I got started there in 1999.
That was 9-1-99, when they had launched their new internet version of their company. And I was with that company for a few years. And I was never really huge. I was never a huge guy. But at the same time, I was never a nobody.
I always did just enough work to get known and to have a little team and to show up to the meetings. But I would say that was like my education. That was really my education. I personally did not go through traditional education. I dropped out of high school in 10th grade. I graduated 9th grade — that's as far as I made it. And I have really been an entrepreneur ever since.
So, really, that's sort of my story — that my education, if you will, really came from the network marketing industry.
And I started young, when I was 21 years old. And so, one company to another, to another. I never really had a lot of success. But I was learning. I was listening to tapes and CDs.
I was reading motivational books. What I didn't realize was happening was that I was becoming a leader who had a lot of knowledge that I could share with people. I just did not realize that was happening. It didn't dawn on me until years later — the same way that somebody goes into college as a freshman and then they end up coming out and graduating, and they're like a totally different person.
It's sort of the same thing for me. That was my education, and that's what I was doing. So really, right around 2005, 2006, I started having internet marketing happening at the same time as network marketing, and I was having a lot of fun. I started making some money.
Nothing extreme, nothing I was out bragging about. But I was getting by. I was an entrepreneur. I didn't have to have a job or anything like that. And then finally I got into my first company that actually had a powerful opportunity.
It was a top-tier direct sales opportunity. It had a $20,000 product. And they paid a 50% commission. So finally, after years and years of just kind of straggling around in the industry, I finally got to a point of getting into a top-tier company. So I just started going after it.
And this is where all those years of skill that I had developed finally came into effect with the right company. I'm one of those stories of a guy who knew all the right things to do, but for some reason could never get my paycheck up over a couple thousand dollars a month in the deal I was in. And then finally, when I got into the right deal, into a company that rewarded me for having the right skills, finally I started making money. $150,000.
So that just kind of blew my mind, as to what was possible. Now, that company ended up, a couple years later, dissolving. And that opportunity sort of went away. Now, I had made a bunch of money.
I had learned a lot of internet marketing stuff along the way. So I decided to start up a social media company. From there, I partnered up with some people. And from there, I ended up in sort of the corporate position that I'm in today — which is working for a publicly traded company.
Managing a lot of their tech. Managing a lot, doing sales. Managing a lot of their social media marketing, internet marketing. Just really managing the internet portion of their business.
As well as anything really needed of me. And that's sort of my full-time career. And sometimes it's very demanding. There are weeks that are 100 hours a week. And sometimes it's a little bit more flexible.
I would say a flexible week is 60 hours a week. So I'd say, if things are cruising and going pretty well, then it's still a 60-hour work week for that business. So when I saw Empower Network, it was right around April, May — no, it was right around May to June of 2012.
Right around May, me and a couple of buddies started looking at Empower. And I saw it as something that I could do. I had about an hour a day that I could put into it. And I talked with my boss at my corporate position and said, hey, look, I'm going to put an hour a day into some marketing on the side for this thing.
I'm still going to be able to work full-time. So I just started dabbling in this thing an hour a day. Now, I heard everybody — these experts said how much money you can make in an hour a day. But I didn't believe it.
I was sort of skeptical. I thought, yeah, right, they're really working 10 hours a day, but they're just saying an hour a day because it sounds better. Well, I said, well, let's just see.
Let's see if I can prove it. Let's see if you really can work an hour a day, aside from my full-time job, aside from my kids, and actually make it work. So when I started, I was on a mission to maximize an hour. It all comes down to mindset. A lot of you pick my brain and ask me what activities I did.
Well, the activities are fairly irrelevant. It doesn't really matter what activities you do. What's most important is having a proper mindset and a proper foundation. Because once you have the mindset that you're going to be successful, once you have the mindset that you're going to become a leader that people want to know, once you have the mindset that you are not going to get stuck learning little technology tidbits and stuff like that — instead of doing that, you're going to focus on income-producing activities.
It's a mindset. So when I sit down, I have one hour of completely focused energy towards income-producing activities. And I have the mindset of a champion when I do it. Now, I wish I could say it's every day I have the mindset of a champion. You've got to program yourself.
You've got to, every day. You've got to be putting on positive audios and reading out of a book and just saturating yourself with so much abundance and positivity that you believe. You believe in yourself. And so that's where I got. I just wanted to believe that in an hour a day, I could create results.
And so that's where I went at it. The first month, I started with existing network — friends, no family, but existing friends, Facebook friends, and stuff like that. I can't remember the exact number. And another 10,000 the next month, and then 20,000, and then 20,000.
And it started climbing up to, you know, last month was just shy of 50,000. The month before that was over 60,000. It started adding up. So what happened was, I'm not putting in more hours. Here I am nine months later.
I've made a quarter million dollars in the last nine months within Empower, and I'm not putting in more hours. A lot of people think, oh, you must be full-time now. No. I'm still full-time in the corporate position, and I've got two kids that I'm managing full-time in a family. I mean, the thing is that when you have the right mindset, in the beginning I just took this thing head-on and created momentum.
And then on top of that, there's going to be pass-ups of some of the bigger products, and there's going to be any sort of new sales that I'm doing. But again, the teaching lesson here is that it's all mindset. What I did was I came to the table with an existing set of skills, okay? For me, it was — hey, I know network marketing, so I can go out there and recruit and build a team. I don't understand solo ads.
I don't understand paid advertising. When someone like Shaqir comes out and teaches, it's like a foreign language to me. I don't understand any of that. So instead of getting stuck on a bunch of things I didn't know — what a lot of people do is they think they have to learn all that before they can have success. No, no, no.
That's not a successful mindset. If you want to get a millionaire mindset, you know what you do? Take advantage of the skills that you have right now. So my challenge to you, before I wrap this up, is going to be simple. Each and every one of you is blessed with some amazing skills that you bring to the table.
My advice is to harness those skills. Go out and make money with them right now. Take the existing skills that you have and go make money with them. And then while you're making money, you're going to be learning new skills. You're going to be learning all this cool stuff.
You're going to be learning how to write killer personalized broadcast emails and build a big list and how to do paid advertising and how to create funnels and systems and follow-ups and autoresponders and all that cool stuff. Earn while you learn. You might as well be making money right now. So, for instance, as soon as this webinar is over, before you go to bed tonight, go out and recruit one new person. Or like LT always says — Lawrence Tam says — in your first 24 hours, get your first $25 person.
25 and 24. Go out and get one person in the next 24 hours because, once you create this habit of being a producer, all the other stuff falls into place. But if you're struggling and you're broke and you can't afford to pay your bills, and you're constantly having the wrong mindset, you're not going to do it. So the point that I want to make here, and then I'll wrap up and turn it back to David, the point I want to make is very simple.
It all comes down to mindset. It all comes down to identifying what amazing gifts you've been blessed with, and then just becoming comfortable with it. Say, look, this is who I am. I have some amazing gifts and talents, and I'm going to use them. And it's going to be different for everybody.
And I'm going to go this month and make money with the existing skills I have. And then on top of that, I'm going to start learning new things. Now you're not overwhelmed. The feeling of overwhelm, being overwhelmed by having to learn all this new stuff — it goes away. You no longer need to be overwhelmed.
You no longer need to be confused. There's no stagnation in your business because you're great already. You're great. You have greatness inside of you. Use the gifts that you already have to make money right now while you're learning all this other stuff.
That's the mindset of a champion. And that's what's making people in this company so great. So just get out there and do it. Just get out there and take massive action. Make money this month and don't make excuses.
And if you do that, you're going to be absolutely amazed at what you can do with your life. So again, if you want the how-to, go listen to the other 15K Formula modules. I just wanted to share some mindset stuff with you and share a little bit of my story. So David, unless you've got any questions, man, I'm good to go. Thanks for letting me share my story, and thanks for letting me come out tonight.
You're welcome. If you've got any questions, man, I appreciate you. The only thing that I want to point out was, just piggybacking on what I said before I introduced you and what you just said, man — here's a guy who's working a full-time corporate job and making a full-time income inside of his business. Just wanted to point that out.
Just wanted to kind of remind everybody, because when I hear that, it's almost like confusing the subconscious a little bit, because everybody has this idea that you have to be full-time and work your ass off in this industry to make a full-time income, and you don't. You just have to make sure that you're using your time wisely. So I appreciate you, brother. You rock.
Next person that I'm going to bring out is a man who — I'm going to go ahead and turn it over to you, Justin, to make you the presenter. So here we go. For those of you who don't know him, he's a guy who's been doing a lot of work. For those of you who don't know who Justin Vrengi is — this is a guy who grinded it out for years, just like a lot of us did when we first got started, and I'm not going to tell his story for him. But here's a guy who I saw a shift happen probably about right after the Atlanta event.
I would say, what was that, about six to eight months ago. Something happened. I'm not going to talk about what happened, because that's Justin's job to talk about what happened with him. But I'll tell you what I do want to point out: it's possible, and it's proven, to change in an instant.
And I know that Justin's transformation happened in a moment, and over the last six to eight months, this man has achieved things that take most people 10 and 15 years, sometimes 20 or 25 years, to do. It's possible. Justin is no different than anybody else on this line, just like I'm no different than anybody else on this line, even though some people put us on soapboxes and pedestals, don't they, Justin? The truth of the matter is we're not, because change happens in an instant, and Justin stayed in the game long enough for it to happen to him. So with that being said, brother, I appreciate you, love you.
Over to you, man. Justin, can't hear you though, man. Hold on a second. You're muted. Unmute you.
All right, go ahead. Give me a test real quick. There we go. You hear me, brother? Hey, you're loud and clear, brother.
How you doing, man? Doing excellent. I appreciate you, David Sharp and David Wood, for putting this movement together and showing us what's truly possible. And I just want to thank Chris, Toby, and Layla, because the training that you provided already tonight is golden.
And I do believe the same thing — that the number one determining factor to success is your belief and how much you truly believe in yourself. And once you believe in yourself, you want to start believing in other people, because once you truly believe in yourself, it's easier to truly believe in other people when you can start believing in your team and looking them in the eyes at events and getting on a coaching call and truly conveying conviction the same way that David Wood did for me in a coaching session about nine months ago, when I was still struggling. And I just want to share where I was in my life one year ago, and then catch you up to speed like a month or three months later, and so forth. I was in an MLM at the time. And at that time, my rent in Costa Rica was about $1,000.
So when I tell people that I struggled to afford my rent just a year ago, like 10 months ago, it's the truth. That's where I was at in my life. And then I decided to really lock arms with Empower and get all in. As soon as I made the decision to get to Atlanta, I believe it was nine months ago, I went to my first event. And from there, my belief level in myself, my belief level in my team, my belief level in Empower, my belief level in just all areas of life, just exponentially exploded.
And I just became a new person. So I just want to show you what is possible, and that where you are right now doesn't mean that's where you have to end up in your life. Because I remember my first job was flipping burgers at McDonald's. And the hilarious part is I was a vegetarian back then.
I had acne all over my face from the grease traps. And they eat in the kitchen. And maybe that's a whole other story in itself. But where I started out wasn't the vision I always had for myself. I had a vision.
I had a vision of being free. I've always had that vision. I've always had that belief. Even though my whole life, I didn't know how. I didn't have the vehicle.
I didn't have Empower Network. But I always believed there was a better way, even back then. So everything started falling into place when I truly went all in and made a commitment to get to that event. And here's what happened. From the time of Atlanta, or before Atlanta, let's just talk about that.
By the time I was at that event, I wasn't really well-known. I mean, I wasn't well-known like I am today. Now let's fast-forward three months later to San Diego. And just a reminder, I didn't get a check in Atlanta, because my check was too weenie compared to all the other badasses. So nonetheless, we didn't get a check.
Now I want to fast-forward to Austin, Texas. That's a lot of money. When I joined Empower, my first target — it sounds so weenie just saying it, but it was $5,000 a week, living paycheck to paycheck.
So it doesn't have to take a long time for your life to transform. But here's the secret, and this is why I'm sharing all this. The secret is surrounding yourself around the right people — which for me was getting my ass to Atlanta, because if I didn't get to that event, I don't know where I would be right now. I don't know where my wife would be right now, because it was that hard of a grind. But if I didn't get to that event, I wouldn't have believed.
Sorry, I get all emotional. But for me to do it and be who I am — which is just a regular dude who's a hippie, you know, that just does my thing — it just goes to show you that you, too, can get the same results if you're willing to do exactly what it is we did. And what did I do that had to allow me to stretch, that I normally wouldn't do, that got me out of my comfort zone? Dave said, and all the leaders — Walker, David, the Tony brothers, Chuck, Marshall, all the leaders — were saying, you have to get to the event.
So even though I didn't have a lot of faith in myself, I had enough faith in them, because I knew their hearts, and I knew that what they were teaching is in our best interest, because for the first time in our lives, we're getting what we deserve, 100%. So anybody can have the same success. You can have more success if you're just willing to follow the recipe and stop leaving out steps. It's like success is like baking a cake. And I love this analogy or metaphor, because even if you've never baked a chocolate cake before, if you have all the right fresh ingredients and you have the recipe, you can bake a decent cake in the ballpark.
It always tastes right. It won't look all pretty if it's your very first time, but it'll be okay because you'll be in that ballpark. And putting yourself around an environment of winners, even if it's before you're a winner, just like myself when I went to Atlanta — it's the easiest, fastest way to shortcut your success, because just like Chris Record said, belief is everything. If you truly believe in yourself, you take the desired action necessary to make everything happen. And at that point, you're willing to do whatever it takes.
You're willing to let go of the ego. You're willing to empty your cup, and you're willing to just listen. And if you can empty your cup, be teachable, and listen to people who have the results that you want and have the freedom in their life that you want, and you follow everything they say to the T, and if it's getting all in, you get all in. You don't ask questions, because you're changing the recipe as soon as you start to change the plan and try to outsmart what we've already provided — what we know works, what thousands of people inside Empower Network have used to create 100% commissions and build their current businesses, whether affiliates online, or maybe they're in real estate.
The same way when I locked arms with Empower 13 months ago, struggling in an MLM, looking for a blogging system where I can actually express who I am and get results — which were leads for my business — and I've been able to do that, and it just transformed my life. But here's the biggest breakthrough. Get all in so you can surround yourself around people who believe in themselves and believe in you. It'll lift you up.
It'll give you the belief. It's necessary to move mountains, and I've seen mountains move, because I had the pleasure to speak at that event and I brought up a teammate who just so happened to be born with a deficiency. I think when he was 10 or 11 years old, he went deaf and was unable to hear for over 20 years of his life, and I brought him up on stage.
His name's David Godici, and I said, hey brother, what's your best day inside Empower Network? Meaning, what's your biggest income day that you've ever made, brother? And he said — just silence for a second — and he said, $1,000. A deaf guy, not born with the same gifts that we all have, who believed in himself enough to not accept any weenie-ass excuses. And for him to get the results that he is getting in his business, it just proves to me beyond the shadow of a doubt that if I can do it, you can do it.
If he can do it, you can do it. And that's the whole story I just have to mention, because it moves me to tears just thinking about it. She has to type on her computer on her stomach, and if you've seen her story, you know what I'm talking about. But they actually Skyped her into the Austin training, and we got to hear from her, and she had the whole crowd on their feet and in tears, and it just moves me. And I look at all the people having success.
Today I woke up, I unplugged completely from the computer, I just decided to meditate — sit outside half-naked on the balcony Sunday, and just lay down and look at the clouds and the skies, because I'm fascinated by that, and I always look up, right? And I just did this all day. I got back in, I checked my back office, I had 35 people. And why that motivates me and creates so much passion in my life is the fact that people are succeeding here. I've never had teammates succeed before, and especially not on a massive level where it's becoming normal to have success here.
If you do the math, that's a 250% increase over the time of the year, because I followed the recipe. Now I'm getting similar results to the badasses I aspire to be like, and I'm going to just listen to everything they tell me to do because I know where their hearts are at. And if you can believe in yourself, because you get to the event and you actually listen to us and we start believing in you, the vision becomes bigger. Your belief level just increases.
You've been watching this 15K training right now — you're going to be where I am at. You're going to be where Chris or Tracy or Dave and Dave are at one day, but it all starts with yourself. It all starts with who you listen to, right, Toby and Layla? It all starts with your teachability, being willing to empty your cup and willing to believe in yourself, or at least get around people who are going to believe in you, because I didn't believe in myself when I met David Wood. He looked me in the eyes and asked how much money I was making online, because he knew I worked hard and he'd heard me on the phones all day.
I went to his house and visited him. He heard me prospect. He's like, what are you doing? I'm like, dude, I generate leads and then I call them and close them. I'm a badass on the phone. And he just started laughing, like, dude, you need to put down the phone and pick up the paycheck. And I didn't clearly understand that, but he looked me in the eyes and said, Justin, how much money are you making a month?
And I did that dog-confused look where I tilted my head, one ear up, and I'm like, how can you say that if I'm struggling to make five? And since he said that to me, that was a massive breakthrough in itself. So what happens when you get to an event and people are looking you in the eyes, shaking your hand, giving you a hug, telling you I believe in you? And what happens when you see tons of people on stage collecting checks that are really unbelievable to even fathom a lot of times? It's hard to fathom.
But you know what? He generated that because he believes he can do that. And that's where I'm at today, because I believe that I can do it, because I surrounded myself around people who believe in me. So if you want more commitment, get to every event and just do exactly what we show you to do.
Follow the leaders. Model after them. How do you become successful? You model after successful people. And I can tell you I've never seen a group of successful people that are this sexy in this industry before.
And I say sexy because they make a lot of money. I say sexy because they are good, they have a good-looking group of people here in Empower. It's cool. But we just have a sexy group of individuals, and if you just surround yourself around us, it's inevitable.
It's inevitable that you have success. It's inevitable that you succeed by locking arms and getting all in and getting every product that we have, and plugging right into Chicago and the next event and the next event and the next event. And realize the more people you bring to each event, the more you're building your own Empower Network inside Empower Network. My first event, I decided to go last minute because I was ignorant, not fully teachable back then. I only brought about five personally sponsored people to that event, about ten people on the team total.
The last event, we had over 200 people. So what we do is we build from event to event to event. We bring a big team to the event. And all the teammates we bring to the event — those are going to be your biggest success stories, because the biggest breakthroughs are at the event.
So if you don't get anything more from my speaking tonight, I want you to know that you can do this. You have the same ability to create the results that any of the leaders have created, if you're willing to do the action that we have done and just believe that it's possible. And if you can get to the events and bring as many people with you from your team, meaning focus on two a day at the $25 level, you'll have a massive team at the event.
And as Chris said, sell an event ticket. Focus on two 25s and selling an event ticket. You'll have a massive team at the event, and you'll be a superstar.
Here with Empower Network, living your dreams and empowering other people and showing them a better way than the current ways of our society, which is just a mess right now. So they need you, we need you. And the only way to help transform other people — it all starts within, right? We've got to transform ourselves. Let's become the best we can be.
That's what we're up to. So thank you, and I'll turn it back over to you, Dave.
She understands people, she understands how to move people. She understands how to create systems and team systems that free her up as a leader to do the things that make her and her team the most money. And at the same time, everybody around her makes more money because of the systems that she puts in place and the way that she thinks. So I'm just glad to have you on board here, Tracy. I appreciate you.
And I never get tired of listening to you. So over to you. I'm going to make you a presenter. Yeah, I can hear you loud and clear. Okay.
Well, I'm actually on the phone line, so it doesn't matter about the presentation. Okay, cool, no worries, you can kind of roll with that.
All right. Well, first, as everyone has said who has spoken before me, I want to thank you and Dave Wood just for the opportunity to share and to contribute to the community that we have here — not just in terms of what we're doing specifically, but our products, our services, and the training overall, that, as you've already said, can be actually applied to any business, any industry, any sector, as it relates to marketing.
And so tonight, I kind of want to share a little bit, a brief component of my story, and then share a few stories with you. In fact, I have a couple of people that are going to share their exact story and are going to keep it extremely short. But I come from a corporate background. I went to school and I have a master's degree in business. And when I got out of school, I didn't have a job right away.
So I had to take a job as an insurance adjuster, essentially, just to buy time until I found a career-type job in Atlanta. Then I got that job, moved to Atlanta. And then after September 11th, I was actually laid off. And so that was kind of devastating.
I was probably about 22 years old. I didn't really have any type of obligations. But to realize that I went to school all that time and had a mass surplus of student debt and student loans, and then be laid off from a job — it really hit me that this wasn't the route I wanted to go. And I'm so grateful that, for whatever reason, my mom and my dad came together and created me, and I had this mindset that I wasn't going back.
So from that point forward, my whole goal had always been to kind of free people from that literal environment, where if they wanted to get out of that environment, that they could. And so I started a real estate business. And I did really well in that business. But with the market, everything went haywire. I lost my house, I built from the ground up, my car went into repossession. My electricity was rigged, my cable was rigged, the water was rigged. I mean, I was literally living in this big, dumb, beautiful house.
And no one really knew what was going on. I was crying every night. I really didn't know where to turn. And thank God for a friend that I went to college with who happened to be a mortgage broker. And he said, you know what, Trace, I want to take a look at something. And that was 2007.
And that was my first exposure to the industry of network marketing. So I took a stab at it. And I actually did okay — I don't want to have a horror story with getting started, I did good in the business. But here's where my issue came in — I realized that I was not getting much leverage, because people wanted me to do their presentations, people wanted me to drive all around town and support the team. And I was willing to do that, because I didn't understand how to build leaders at that time — I thought that I would do better by doing it for them.
Because I wanted people to like me, I wanted people to love me and embrace me. And I realized very quickly that if I didn't do something, I was really going to kill myself trying to help people make a couple dollars. So I got online in 2008, and I started learning some skills that I could take with me anywhere. And as a result, I went from one company to another company to another company, all looking to create an environment where other people could be cultivated and could actually rise up and grow.
Now, here's the crazy thing about it — the system that I put in place in the first company that I was in, it didn't work. It didn't gain momentum. The second company I was in, same thing — the formula was in place, just the momentum wasn't there. The third company I was in, applied the exact same formula again, and got a little bit further down the road, but the momentum just was not there. It wasn't until I got plugged in with Dave and Dave and Empower that the formula I had for building a team and cultivating leaders and actually helping people rise up — it didn't work until I got there.
And then momentum took off. And after 17 months, I'm just shy of half a million dollars — all because of what? All because of understanding leverage, all because of helping people rise, become leaders. And there were three components that Dave really asked us to focus on. One was commitment, one was leadership, and one was attendance.
And so I had a few people from our community who wanted to come out and share briefly their take on one of the things that we're doing right now. And the first person I'm going to ask to jump on, his name is Patrick Batty, and he's going to talk about commitment. Patrick, can you jump out just for a couple of seconds and share with us what commitment has been for you and how that's changed you in Empower? Sure. Can you hear me okay there, Tracy?
You're good, Patrick. Hey, okay. Well, hi everyone, first of all, hello. This is the first time I've ever been on one of these saying anything.
I will be brief. My story is very different than a lot of you. I'm probably a lot older than a lot of you. I'm 59 years old in a couple months.
A lot of my team tend to be in my age range as well. I guess maybe my videos resonate with them, or whatever. But I came out of the corporate world as well, running software companies or running sales in software companies for about the last 25 years. And a couple years ago, I moved to take a new job. We had just finished a move.
And all of a sudden, within a few months, the company was going to become a new company. And the new parent decided to cut half their staff. And I was in a different city with a new house and no job.
And at 58 years old, or 57, I guess I was then, I decided it's not time to start looking for a job, because it was — for me, my general feeling was it would have taken months and months. And I might as well start building something on my own. So I started building — and I'll go real quick — getting into internet marketing. Anybody who's been attracted to it, you know how compelling it is and how easy everybody made it sound pre-Empower. And I found it okay, but not nearly as easy, and found I was distracted by marketers who market and, well, me who likes to buy things.
And so it was all over the room. And about — I guess just after Empower started — I looked into it, but I resisted. I've never been involved in any kind of network marketing in my life, and I was never really attracted. I got turned off once by somebody, and I just did not get into it at all.
But anyway, I looked at Empower when it started. I did not join. And I ended up getting attracted into it by a friend, and this was before I knew anything about teams or any of that kind of stuff. Again, I was brand new to it. And so I ended up joining with him and started doing okay.
Not great, not incredible, but okay. And that friend actually built up a big training site for it. And he was a pretty good internet marketer — I don't know about network marketer, but he ended up leaving. And all of a sudden, all these people who were part of this training site were kind of left a little bit on the high and dry.
Now, we all shouldn't have been relying on somebody else's training site — it was somewhat new anyway. But I didn't know anything about it. So I volunteered to take that over. And then, through some disputes, it didn't happen.
So I decided to make one for myself for these people. Now, I now know I probably shouldn't have done that. I am pushing most of my members, or trying to pull them all into Tracy's Dream Team as well, as part of the downline. But I still do have my training site. And I don't get two every day, but I probably get two or three a week.
But what I wanted to talk about, commitment, is I stuck through it and built this training. And that's not the big part of it. The big part of it is I want to mention that life happens, and things happen, and problems happen, and all that. In the last three or four weeks, we've had a boatload of stuff go on. A major, major financial hit that threw me for a loop.
Aside from Empower — and I do have my Empower income — but a major financial hit that kind of threw me for a loop. One of my consulting clients decided to stop. And, you know, those things — that's just business. But all of a sudden, on a Friday night about two weeks ago, we got a phone call that our mother-in-law went into the hospital. My mother-in-law is fairly — I guess she's about 83 years old.
So we got a phone call, she went into the hospital. As we're driving to the hospital, we got a phone call that her daughter also went into the hospital with a heart attack. And it sounds a bit like a soap opera, I realize, when you have to get two of those at the same time. We were juggling between two hospitals one night, and the sister-in-law was a nurse, and she kind of ignored some of her own symptoms and ended up having a major heart attack. It didn't sound major at the beginning.
We were at the hospital overnight. There were six hours of open-heart surgery. And to make a long story short, she passed away about four days after that, and it sounded like she was going to make it.
Well, naturally, these kinds of things throw you, and that is so much more important than what I do with Empower and things like that. But the point about that is those things will stop you, and they certainly will stop you. You'll take your time, you'll get over it, and you'll do that. But you've still got to get back on the horse and do what you're going to do. I started getting back on the horse and doing what I'm doing.
And all of a sudden, I got a little notification from Google that my YouTube account was suspended. Most of my sign-ups have come through my videos. And I also had a lot of videos — I'm sorry, Tracy, I just realized I'm going kind of long, so I'll speed this up. The YouTube thing basically took my internet marketing business down the drain with that.
Empower Network went down the drain temporarily with that. I kept at it, and within another day I got a notification that my Google Plus account was suspended, which killed a lot of SEO rankings. Anyway, where I'm going with this is I still put my head down and kept at it every day. And believe it or not, in about a week and a half, things turned around on every front, with the exception of my sister-in-law. Google came back and reinstated my videos.
And within one minute after I got notification from YouTube, I had a sign-up. And within the next day I had another sign-up. Google came back and reinstated my Google Plus account. And all of this while I was keeping my head down and still doing my stuff — still writing my blog, still doing all my things. And things started turning positive.
I've had a couple upgrades and things like that since then. But essentially — oh, and my one consulting client came back and decided not to dump me, and they've actually increased the workflow that I'm doing for them. So it's like it could have rolled over and I could have just said, oh, screw it. I guess that's my main point.
Lots of people would do it. I'm tempted to do it on certain days. But I really did — once we got through the funeral, still put my head down and do this, still kept on doing what we've got to do. Well, Patrick, I'm going to have to jump in here just for a second. Sure.
Because we've got a couple more people here. And I think that really the bottom line here is that through it all, no matter what you face — through all adversities, through the challenges of life, through death in the family, through all these different things — you didn't let it stop you. And that is your testament to commitment. Is that right? That's right.
Awesome. Thank you so much. And in fact, I'm just going to have one more person. And this is a testament to leadership. And the leadership that I believe we have here with this company stems from Dave and Dave.
It started with them. It started with one vision. It started with one message. As a result, it's allowed all of us as leaders to disseminate this one message throughout our group. And as a result, it has helped people take the message of what we have, and the leadership skills and style that we have here, and apply it to places outside of internet marketing.
And one person who is doing that, and has been brilliant at that, is one of our Empower members. His name is Adrian Hines. Adrian, are you there? Can you share for about one minute how you're leveraging the leadership and how you're using it today, outside of what we're doing here online?
Okay. Hey, Tracy, can you hear me? Yep, you're good. Okay.
Thank you for the time. I'll be very brief. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Adrian Hines. And basically, to make a long story short, I left my job back in September, before the San Diego event by about five days, so that I could grow my Empower business and church at the same time. And because of the leadership that we have here within Empower Network, I've been paying close attention to what Dave Wood would do.
As well as the other top income earners. I've been able to take away at least one thing from every single product from the Inner Circle, Costa Rica 15K, and the Master's course, and implement it in my church. A prime example: Dave Wood and Dave Sharp started sending out text messages encouraging their leaders and members. I started doing the same thing.
Dave Wood talked about being okay with people failing. Being a pastor, sometimes you don't want to see people failing. You want people to get it. I didn't start the church to get rich — that's why I got Empower Network.
I started the church because people need to know that there is hope out there for them. And so I can't say enough about the leadership that we have here. I just model exactly what the leaders are doing, and I take it and implement it in my church. So that being said, Tracy, I'm going to pass it back over to you.
Thank you so much, Adrian. And I just want to say that the things that we do here in this community, like Adrian has done in his ministry — it can be applied to anything. It can be applied to corporate. It can be applied to any type of community service.
It can be applied to consulting. It can be applied to anything and everything, because the training that we have here is universal. The events that we have here are life-changing. There is something — as we talk about cultivating environments, or cultivating people in this environment — I have literally seen the flush, the red on people's faces appear when they get it.
When the aha moment appears, when the light comes on, these events can actually take you to a whole new level, just in your mentality, just in the way that you see things and your belief levels. And all of the commitment that you didn't think you had, you suddenly find when you get around a group of people who are just as committed to the exact same goals of attaining their dreams as we are here in this business. So, Dave, I'm going to turn it back over to you.
I want to thank you for allowing me and a couple of people a chance to kind of share. And I wanted to have a few people just express what it is outside of my voice, because what we're doing here is extremely powerful. And Justin touched me so much, because he literally broke down into tears as he was sharing some of his testimonial and some of the things that he's experienced. And that's how powerful what we have here is.
Financially, it's great. But mentally, spiritually, personal-development-wise, it is life-changing. And if this is your first time going through this product, and now you're here at what we would consider the end, this is just the end of this. This is really the start of a whole new life, of a whole new beginning.
And I appreciate you, Tracy, and I appreciate your team and everybody that you're affiliated with there. And it's just story after story, guys — story after unbelievable story of what can happen when you make a decision. Next guy I'm going to bring out is actually somebody who — quick 30-second story.
This guy didn't even want to come to the events, because we thought that we were going to pull him up on stage. This is somebody who's a DJ, who DJs in front of audiences of tens of thousands of people, and did not want to come to an event because he was afraid that we were going to pull him up on stage. Very legitimate fear. It's a phobia. It's actually one of the most common phobias and fears which we have — public speaking, amongst the entire human population.
Guys, over the last month and a half or so, since our last event, I've seen this guy transform into somebody who's now — not only was cool coming up on stage at our last event, but is now going and doing hangouts and shooting videos and getting out in front of people and audiences and transforming into a compelling presenter. And somebody who's completely cool and comfortable doing something that just a couple of months ago he was terrified to do. Now, this has not stopped John Rose from making money online.
This guy's made hundreds of thousands, millions of dollars on the internet. But I'm talking about the transformation that's happened in somebody who has gotten around the right information and the right people and has taken action and not let his fears paralyze him. So, that being said, I just wanted to point that out, John. Right now, I think you're in this process of this amazing transformation, dude.
And I'm really enjoying seeing it, man. So, with that being said, I'm going to turn it over to you and make you the presenter. Go ahead, buddy. All right. I appreciate it.
Can you hear me? Yep, you're good. All right. It's actually kind of a funny story, exactly like you said. I come from the DJ world and promotions and nightclubs and stuff like that.
I've got no problem getting in front of thousands of people DJing. But when it comes to somebody handing me the microphone, it's just something I never really wanted to do.
Well, first of all, let me say this. Being in this group here with these leaders — everybody that's coached so far, Justin, Tracy, Chuck, Chris, everybody that's coming up, Tony — it's just an amazing honor and a privilege to really be here. And, guys, if you can learn from anybody, this is the group to learn from. So I just appreciate everybody, and thanks, Dave and Dave, for putting this all together.
But back to my story and where I come from — I'm just going to quickly share some breakthroughs that I had, and hopefully you can take something away from it. When I got started in this industry, it was the nightclub industry, and I really did not see that lasting too long. I didn't see myself in my 40s being able to DJ in a nightclub, and I just had to look for something else. Luckily, my friend kind of introduced me to the industry.
It was the offline way. I ended up at somebody's house, and they were drawing the circles for the comp plan on the wall and doing all the projectors. But long story short, I ended up turning to the internet. My first six months, I struggled tremendously. It was horrible.
I had no clue what I was doing. Dave Sharp mentioned earlier that he was looking for all the shortcuts, the push-button software and all that kind of stuff that could drive traffic to your website. So believe me, I spent tens of thousands of dollars. But it wasn't until I actually got connected with the right group of leaders — and to do this at the time, I had to spend about $20,000 on courses to actually get connected with these people and learn what I needed to know. But nothing really changed for me until I became a student of the industry.
When I stopped looking for those shortcuts and I actually started applying what was taught to me in these courses — the shift really had to come from within first. It was a different way of looking at everything. I think Toby and Layla actually talked about your why in the very beginning.
And I kind of wanted to share an analogy that I learned in the very beginning that really made the shift for me. Because before, when I got started in the industry, it was more about — what am I going to do to be able to pay my bills? What am I going to be able to do to protect myself? What am I going to do to be able to make the kind of money that I want? And I don't think I was looking at it the right way.
This is one of the analogies that I learned early on. If you were to lay out, let's say, a 2x4, like a piece of wood, on the grass, and somebody offered you $25 to walk across that plank — immediately and without question you would probably say, absolutely. And you'd walk across this plank for $25. Now, the difference is if somebody were to take that board or that plank and actually raise it up to a 100-story sky rise.
Yeah. That's all the traffic generation strategies. That's everything that you could possibly ever need to get moving in the right direction in any business that you have, whether it's online, offline, traditional or non-traditional. Now it just comes down to really taking action. For me personally, I remember just four years ago, I was in a rough place.
And now, as Dave Sharp just mentioned, I'm walking across the stage at all these events, which I never thought in my life that I would ever do. And I think right now — I just checked the back office, I was talking to Justin about this yesterday — we've generated about half a million dollars in commissions with Empower Network since we started. So, I mean, the sky's the limit here, guys.
It really just comes down to taking action on what you're learning here. So I think that's really about all I wanted to say here. I know that we've got some incredible people — Tony Rush, I believe, coming up next. And I just wanted to say thank you for having me out.
John, I appreciate it too, man. Yeah, can you hear me? Yeah, got you.
Are you there, David? Yeah, man. It's just been a pleasure watching you grow. And I think one of the most important things to point out here is just — when you look at somebody and you think that they've just got everything going on, and then they completely turn around and do something just bigger and better — it's just amazing to see.
It's always inspiring, and it's humbling, when something like that happens. Because a lot of people look at somebody who's making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year or a million dollars a year online, and they think that the person just walks on water and glows in the dark. And then they turn around and completely transform right in front of your eyes and take their game to the completely next level. And it's inspiring.
It just reminds you that this game is about learning. It's about implementation. It's about action. It's about always being better and learning more and looking for the next way to be better in your business and in your life. And so that's what I see going on here.
Not only with our people who are going through our training and who are attending events and following the steps that we're telling people to follow, but also our leadership. The people who are training people. The people who are laying the foundation for other marketers out there in the marketplace. They're doing the same thing that they're teaching, which is different. It doesn't usually happen.
Most speakers travel around the world and speak from stage about how great their training course is, but they're never really actually doing any business themselves. Because all they're doing is speaking and selling from stage and seeing how many people they can get up and run to the back of the room. And it's refreshing when you see a group of people who are actually doing what they're talking about. The next guy who I'm going to bring out is that guy.
He's the guy who's in the game. He's in the trenches. He's ran with us now for, I think, over a year. Went through a death in his family, right? Lost his mother back, I believe, right around a year ago.
And pushed through it because of the time and the energy that he'd invested in his business and his family. And pushed through that. Came out on the other side. And, yeah, I just got to say — just because I'm feeling a little bit emotional — I think that what you're doing right now, Tony, would make your mother proud. And I know that because I'm proud of you, man.
And I just got done spending some time with you in Atlanta. And this is a guy who's not only a great marketer, not only one of the best marketers that I know, but also one of the best people that I know. And right now he's leading an army of badasses on his team. And he's making moves, man.
So with that being said, I'm going to turn it over to the most badass man that I know in Alabama right now, Tony Rush. Hey, hey, can you hear me okay? Yeah, I'm going to make you a presenter, brother.
Okay, cool. I just have a pretty picture here on the screen. I don't have any slides or anything. Hold on a second. See if you know anybody.
Can you see that picture, Sharp? I got you, brother. You're live. You're good. What a good-looking bunch of people that is.
Cool. Hey, Sharp, well first off, thanks for the kind words, man. That goes both ways, and I appreciate it.
Jessica and I talk a lot. I think what comes up for me tonight, just listening to my colleagues here talk about the various flavors of the business, the different lenses that we kind of look through at the opportunity we have here — one of the things that comes up in our household a lot is gratitude. Which I think — I won't say it's understated, because I think, in our own way, each of us is expressing gratitude for the opportunities that we have in our life. Whether it's — we've got people watching this who are involved in all kinds of self-enterprise and capitalism and all kinds of wonderful things.
But I think at the same time, there's a position from which we operate that can really push you forward in any business. I think a lot of times in business in general, it's easy to get sucked into the minutiae of the day-to-day stuff. And it's easy for people to — now, the 15K Formula, as you guys know from the previous modules, this is a very, very nuts-and-bolts product. And the information that you've gotten here will literally let you write your own paycheck.
No matter what. No matter what kind of enterprise you're involved in. Which is powerful stuff. So if I could offer two things tonight as a contribution toward that — and again, these are universal principles that apply to anything — I think the first is to work from a position of gratitude.
It's so easy sometimes to only notice the weak parts of our business. Or it's easy to say, gosh, I wish I could just — if I could just get this one thing in my business, right, then everything would just be gumdrop mountains and red licorice rivers. And it would be just beautiful, you know.
And that is often true. But one of the things that I've noticed in my own business is that sometimes I can find the way to strengthen my business more easily if I can just get my head into a frame of mind where I'm actually noticing what's right. In my business, it's easy for me to look around and see the different aspects of my business that are working just fantastically, due in large part to the techniques and the methods and strategies that I've learned in Empower Network's products.
So it's interesting, when you start noticing the things that are working right, it puts you in a different state of mind. And this business, guys — any business — is 90% mental. There's a mindset that's just required if you want to become unusually successful in business. People who are unusually successful in business always think differently.
They've got a little bit of cowboy in them, right? They've got a little bit of a renegade. There's probably a little bit of a rebellious streak. There's this certain mindset that we just work from that makes things click. So I think that's one thing.
And we don't talk about it a whole lot, because this module, this entire product rather, has been very nuts and bolts. The other thing, though — and this is perhaps a little less surprising as a topic for me tonight — is the concept of self-reliance. Years ago, before I really had any traction in business whatsoever, my thing was, well, why am I not making enough money in my business?
Why can I not hit some traction? Why can't I get things rolling? I can't get into a flow. And, part of that was I was constantly focused on what's wrong, instead of noticing the parts that were good and right.
But the other thing too is I had a bad case of this entitlement-enablement virus that pervades a lot of society today, where — why are things not working correctly? Well, it's because of the economy. Or it's the Democrats. Or it's the Republicans. Or it's my boss.
Or it's the negative relatives. It's this or that. And it was really easy to make a list of all these outside factors that were to blame for why I wasn't a millionaire yet. And it's kind of interesting, because in hindsight it's sort of embarrassing to say that about myself, because at the time, if you had asked me, I would have said, no, I don't have a victim mentality. And I would have been offended if you had characterized me that way.
It's only through hindsight that I can actually admit and look and say, yes, I did. I really thought that my life was happening to me. And it wasn't until I really got my head around the fact — no, life's not happening to me, I am happening to my life — and I ran across this concept of just taking ownership of my life.
There's a lot of people in all walks of life who want to see major results. And they've got the tools. They've got everything at their fingertips to really make this thing go, whether it's a business, a hobby, a particular project, or a goal. They've got everything within arm's reach to just knock the cover off the ball. But they're not doing it, because they're not taking ownership of every single inch of the experience.
So we see this a lot, where it's like people say, well, I want to lose weight, but, you know, I've got big bones. The old Jim Rohn quote — Jim Rohn said, hey, we'll give you 10 pounds for big bones, but nobody's got 50 pounds of bones. Or in business — it's like, well, I'm not getting results I want in my business, and then they name some outside influences, like, well, gas prices are really high right now, or the economy is in a slump. So I can't.
And when I see that, it's really easy for me to spot that today, because I was so good at it. I used to be so good at it. Justification was my middle name. I could come up with some justification for why not to do something. And it wasn't until I got this concept of personal responsibility, this self-reliance, this taking ownership of every bit of it —
and the beautiful thing happened when I got that. I got to take credit for all of it, the good things and the bad, which means that if I screwed up — the old Tony would have said, well, I screwed up because of some outside factor, oh, that's not my fault, because that's just the way that was done. But when you take ownership of it, it means you get to say, you know what, I did that. And when you do that, you get the ability.
You get all your power back to own it. And I say this concept of responsibility, I think it gets mixed in a lot of times with blame. Somebody says, well, that's not my fault.
We're not talking about fault. We're not talking about blame. We're talking about responsibility. It's your ability to respond. It's what the word means.
If you break it down, taking personal responsibility just says, hey, I'm able to make some moves here. I'm willing to own this situation so that I can have power. And I know this concept's a little bit outside of what you guys have experienced in the 15K Formula, because it has been very nuts and bolts. But all this stuff works best in an environment of personal responsibility. And I'll tell you this.
It changed my life. It made me a better parent. It made me a better husband. It made me more effective in every area of my life. And as far as money goes, there is nothing more powerful you can do in your business —
than to simply take ownership of every bit of it. And at first it feels weird, because we move in a society today where, when something happens in the government or something, one of the first conversations you hear on the news is everybody's wanting to know where to point the finger. Whose fault was this? Who dropped the ball?
And that's actually a very low form of thinking, to find out who to blame. A correct form of thinking is to say, we'll worry about that later. Right now, what is our response? What is our ability to respond? And you know what?
When I got that, guys, money started coming. It was like that quote from Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, where money started flowing in my life so fast that you start wondering where it had been hiding during all the lean years. And it came from this whole thing of just — hey, I'm the owner. And the beautiful thing is I still screw up. And I can screw up as well as anybody.
Me and Jessica were talking the other day. I was talking about something, and I said, oh, yeah, I screwed that up. And she's like, was that you? I said, oh yeah, that's mine.
I did every bit of that. I own that. That is a masterpiece. That screw-up right there could hang on the wall next to the Mona Lisa in Paris. That's royal right there.
And it's mine. I get to own it. And by owning it, it has no power over me. That way, I get all the abilities. I get to respond.
And I can say, that's mine, I screwed it up, I'm sorry, I'll do my best not to make that mistake again. But I don't become immobilized.
I don't want to give away all my power by saying, well, it's the vendors, or it's the lead flow, or it's this or that. It's on me. The buck stops here.
And when we step up, that's real leadership. When we actually step up and own it, we get to actually have some power over our situation. So all these ideas that you've been getting in these past modules — everything from lead generation, turning leads into sales, creating duplication, copywriting, building a culture, all of this stuff — when it's put in an environment of personal responsibility, it's like a greenhouse effect. It's like a petri dish. It just multiplies.
So all these modules that you've been going through — make sure that you're putting that in an environment of personal responsibility. You will not believe how fast the process goes. So that's exactly what you told me when I got clean five years ago. I came in with the same exact mentality.
And I'd had that mentality for years. I was running the streets. That mentality that you were just talking about, Rush, landed me not only broke, it landed me jobless. But it also almost took me to the next level — it took my life.
And I was somebody who was on the streets doing drugs and who found my way to a dirty bathroom, scraping up drugs off of a dirty toilet. That's where that attitude took me. The attitude of entitlement. The attitude of not wanting to take responsibility. The attitude of it's everybody's fault but mine.
That stinking thinking, that's the bottom line. Not wanting to take responsibility for anything. It's always somebody else's fault. I left home when I was 14 years old because my parents didn't know what they were talking about.
And that attitude and that mindset followed me all the way up until I almost died. So for a lot of us, that attitude is not just about business. A lot of you, that attitude — and I know you were talking about this, Tony — is about life, man. So I appreciate you pointing that out.
And it's not just something that's powerful for somebody's business — it'll literally change the way that you do business on a daily basis, but it'll also enhance the quality of your life, just like it did mine. And I went from — in five years — changing the way that I view things. And it took me a while.
I'd come in and I'd complain to somebody on a daily basis. And they'd say that while you've got one finger pointed out at everybody else, you've got four fingers pointed back at yourself. I hadn't heard anybody talk like that to me before that, Tony. Because I surrounded myself with people who, whenever I had a complaint or something go wrong in my life, they'd put the jumper cables on it and amp me up. Just like I was talking about in Atlanta a week ago, when you hear this in relationships a lot.
You get into an argument. Just like everybody has disagreements. And, every once in a while, if you're not having a disagreement or even an argument in your relationship, well, maybe you need to have one. Right? Because that's what human beings do.
Sometimes we disagree. But the problem is that when we take whatever we're going through in our relationship to somebody else, one of our so-called, quote-unquote, friends, and they say things like, oh, Tony, oh no, she didn't. Oh no, she did not do that. Oh no, she did not say that to you.
That's the type of stuff that gets us in trouble. And I used to bring problems like that to people I started to surround myself with. Tony said, well, hey, what's your part in this? Yeah. That changed my life.
Man, the first time you heard that, Sharp, when you took a problem to somebody and they turned it around on you like that and said, hey, Sharp, what's your part in this? What went through your mind? I went right to imright.com and tried to figure out some sort of statistic or somebody else to back up my bullshit — that's exactly what I did. Exactly.
So I appreciate you, man. And I'll tell you, more people than we would believe live their entire lives in that mindset. They do. And let me just add this real quick and I'm done. One of the reasons that I am involved in Empower Network as far as the product line is because you don't get these conversations.
You don't get these conversations in regular life. It's the people down at Denny's right now, or the Waffle House — they're not having this conversation. And there's a lot of places in life where you would sort of expect to be able to get this kind of positive environment, like maybe religious organizations, and there's a lot of wonderful organizations out there. But I have never encountered this quality of empowering conversations. I've never encountered this quality of communication anywhere, not like it is here in Empower Network.
So it's a unique place. It's a wonderful community. Things like the Inner Circle, those audios, just being around people who think around topics like this and can communicate them effectively — it's life-changing stuff. It's about much more than just business.
It really spills over into every area of your life. So I'm just grateful to be here. I've got the best seat in the house tonight. Next guy — I've got to tell you, this guy looks scary because he's tall.
You see him making all this money online. His name's Chuck Marshall. He just sounds like a badass when you say his name. But I'll tell you, man.
I've gotten around Chuck, and what I've learned about Chuck is that you can be absolutely yourself in this business. Chuck is one of the most gentle giants that I've ever met in my entire life, right? And it's just proven, man, that you don't have to change who you are. You don't have to change how you talk.
You don't have to change where you live. I mean, for Christmas's sakes, I think you live in Washington or Idaho, I have no idea. I didn't even think people lived out there. I thought it was just, you know, sheep and potatoes.
You know what I'm saying? I mean, I didn't even know human beings lived out there. But here Chuck Marshall is, sitting, living on top of a mountain in a huge house out in the middle of all these rams and potatoes and sheep, making hundreds of thousands of dollars, millions of dollars. I think he did a total of a half million dollars in his business last year, I'm not sure, somewhere around there. And this guy has not changed who he is.
But I would venture to say that you've changed how you think since you started. So with that being said, man, I appreciate you, brother, and I'm going to turn it over to you. Cool, man. Can you guys hear me okay?
Yeah, I'm going to make you the presenter here. Yep, you're good, bro. Okay, cool, man.
All right, cool. You know, I appreciate you having me out, Dave.
One of the coolest things that has helped me is just being in power, in a lot of aspects of my life. Discovering the actual why — why I'm doing what I'm doing in my business, or why anybody who's watching this right now is doing what you're doing in your business. And you guys can see the picture here in front of you. It's my family. I mean, not the cars and the house and that stuff, but my two little boys and my wife.
And that's always what it's been for me ever since I actually made the commitment to take it seriously here with my business online. And it's been a huge blessing for me and my family. But one of the cool things I really like about the 15K product is that at this module right now, there is something there for everybody, for each different type of marketing you want to do. I don't know if you've seen my training on there. I do a lot of offline stuff.
That's primarily how I learn. And that's still a lot of what I do today. But there's a lot of cool online stuff. And there's a lot of cool stuff in there that was brand new to me. But I think it's great that there's a lot of different stuff that you can use for your business.
Because what it might take for me to have that aha moment might be different for you. Or what it was for Tony might be different than what it was for Tracy or Justin, or vice versa. But that's why I think there's a lot of great stuff in there. It's something for everybody. And for me, like I said, I had already learned how to market the way that I knew how offline.
And I had my business for about six years before I got into Empower Network. And I was able to bring people in and make money and be able to provide the type of lifestyle that I wanted for myself and my family. But there was always some things that were lacking for me, like actually how to be a good leader for people. Because I stayed humble. Like Tony was just mentioning — I do this all the time now too.
If there's something that I have a shortcoming on, or something that I need help on, I admit it and I own it. And I'll go to work on trying to get better at it. I don't pass the buck off or try to blame it on some other circumstance. But for me it was learning how can I be actually a good leader for other people. How can I do a lot of the team building and culture building —
stuff like that Tracy Walker does. And how can I be, like Chris Record, who spoke earlier in the evening — I needed help with that stuff. And so it was really huge for me, within Empower Network and the stuff that we have here, actually nailing down my real purpose. And it wasn't making X amount of dollars.
Like you said, Davey, I did over a half million last year. But the cool thing is that after discovering what my actual purpose is and what I want to be doing, it's actually so far removed from making money. But even now that I realize it and I'm working towards it, the money is just coming as a byproduct of it. So, for me, I needed to feel validated and good about what I'm doing. So then what I'm doing matters.
And what I'm doing in some way is helping other people. Because I had always been around a lot of semi-negativity with my attempts to make money online, or with my own business instead of just doing the regular 9-to-5 job thing, which never felt right — I felt out of place doing that ever since I was 14 and got my first job washing dishes. It didn't take me very long of working for somebody else to realize I don't want to do this for the rest of my life. So I was always thinking outside the box like that, as far as doing something for myself or making my own money or doing something. And everybody was like, well, it just seems like when we go through school and stuff, what you're supposed to do is finish high school and then go to college, get a job, or learn a skilled trade like electrician or plumber or construction or whatever.
And you do that for as long as your body can do it. And then when you're done, you get a gold watch or something, and you go about the rest of your life. And it's like everything's geared towards that. For me, I never wanted that. I did go to community college for a little bit, and I would sit in the classes and think, I don't even know what I'm doing here, because I'm just going through the motions, like I'm stuck in the matrix.
I don't know, I was becoming self-aware at that point. It's like, well, I think I can do whatever I want to do. But it was really hard being with a lot of the negativity and stuff I had around me. It's like, well, those things only work for certain people.
Or, I forget who mentioned it earlier, I think it was Tracy, or maybe it was Layla actually, about the security — like getting a job and that's security for you. Well, I think that's obviously today's age, that's a false sense of security, because if you — a lot of people, if they lose that income, they don't have anything else to fall back on. There's nothing else there for them.
So, to bring it back to my point — I was making, guys, is that I needed to feel validated and good about what I'm doing, that it actually counts and matters in the world somehow, because my friends and family, and I've said this before, they'd ask me, how's your internet deal going, you still doing that little internet thing, how's that working out for you? And now they know. But for me, I wanted to feel like I was providing something, and I've been able to really get that here for myself with Empower Network.
And I think that's really something that anybody can apply to anything — that you're doing, because if you have your own business or whatever, offline or online, you're doing something that's outside of the normal of what everybody else thinks that you should be doing, which is working for somebody else, doing a nine to five and just going about your life. So, for me, it's been more of — I've learned a lot of Google marketing stuff, which is awesome, but the personal development side has been huge for me, because that's something I can't really place a value on, since it's going to help me for the rest of my life. In every way — as far as being a more effective communicator with my wife and my kids, stepping outside of my own comfort zone so I can personally grow, which at our last event, was my first time up on stage in front of thousands of people. That had been way outside my comfort zone, kind of like John Rose earlier was mentioning.
I'd be terrified of that, but the fact that they're not just attracting big leaders here, we're developing them too, which is just awesome — because the time and money invested into this training that we have is huge for me, because it really applies to all areas of my life, business and personal. And whether that's for anybody else on here, whether your business is online or offline, I think you can agree that you can have the coolest system, the coolest products, the best business in town, the only place that sells water in the middle of the desert, or whatever it is — but if you don't do anything with it, because you don't believe in yourself, or you don't think that it's going to work, or you don't put any traffic to it one way or the other, nothing's going to happen. And so that's why in this module — all the previous modules in the 15K Formula have been the nuts-and-bolts stuff, that's there, that's awesome, you have tons of different ways online and offline to drive traffic, or to market, or do whatever you want to do — but if you don't put it in place, nothing's going to happen. And a lot of that comes from just getting ready to get ready, but then when it comes time to pull the trigger, you don't do it — you hem-haw, and you don't take any action for whatever reason, if you already think it's not going to work, or you think you're going to fail, or you're scared to try — nothing's going to happen. I honestly think you'll learn faster and better by doing trial and error than by trying to go through every single thing and trying to do the 100% perfect move the first time around, because that doesn't happen. I don't think anybody on this panel this evening, in their very first business venture, online or offline, got it right the very first time, shoot out of the gate — I don't think that happens, but the thing that we all have in common is that we just took action, and we moved, and we keep going, and now we're here where we are now.
So, that's kind of what I wanted to cover tonight, Dave — what I like about this product is that there's something there for everybody, and what I needed for me personally was not so much more of the nuts-and-bolts stuff. I needed to believe in myself more, believe that what I was doing mattered, and validate myself, that I matter, and what we're doing here is really making a difference. And it's had a huge amount of impact in my life, because, like I said, it's stuff that I can use in every area of my life forever, and I'm continuing to grow with it as well.
So, that's pretty much what I wanted to cover, Dave. I'm not sure if there are any other questions, but I'm happy to go over that stuff too. I wanted to mention at the very beginning, man, about you on stage. I think that was a profound statement that you made — that it's not just what we're doing here with our products, with the way that we're developing people, developing leaders — it's not about attracting the person who's been on the stage for 20 or 30 years, I mean, we've got those guys and gals too, but I think the biggest service that we're doing for the people who are here, going through our products, coming to our events, is that we're giving them the opportunity to be developed. And I'm proud of you, man, for taking that step out, that leap of faith you took at the last event, and I've got to tell you —
not only was it a great talk, but it was funny too, especially at the end when you asked everybody how you did — I've never seen anybody do that, but I've got to tell you, man, it made you real, and you put a nice little bow on it there at the end. So anyway, man, I'm super proud to have you on board, and I appreciate you for coming out, man. Anytime, I appreciate everything that Empower Network's done for me personally, and in my business. That was an awesome moment for me, to be able to do that, and I got a lot of good compliments and positive words of affirmation that made me feel a lot more confident about myself and my presence, so I'm ready to do it again, man. That's just another thing I can't buy — it was a huge part of my experience in growing with Empower, and what we have here is something I just can't feel like I can put a price on.
So I thank you guys, and I'm glad to be here. Anytime I can do anything to help anybody, I'm here to do it. I've got Shaqir coming up next. All right, Chuck, I appreciate you, man, and I'll see you here in about a month. All right, sounds good.
All right, guys, next guy I'm going to bring out is actually a young guy, younger than a lot of people. And this dude has done a lot in his young age, done a lot in the internet marketing industry. He's made a lot of money.
He's promoted different products on different platforms. And one of the most profound things that I ever heard was when Shaqir came to me and said, hey man, for once, I really feel good, really good. Not that I haven't felt good before, right, because now that I know Shaqir, I know that Shaqir's not going to do anything that's not going to make him feel good. But what he said to me one day was, man, I feel good about what I'm doing here.
And that made a profound impact on me. And I don't know if I ever told you that, Shaqir, but you saying that to me that one day just reinforced what we were doing here. Because so many people started to pop up and say the same thing that you said to me that one day. And I'll tell you, guys, at the end of the day, I don't care how much you talk about money. I don't care how much you talk about big houses and big cars.
By the way, I think Shaqir just moved into this huge mansion out in Phoenix, Arizona. But I don't care about how much you talk about all that stuff. At the end of the day, the biggest payoff that you're going to get in this business is to really be proud of what you're doing when you're helping people and the impact. So with that being said, I'm going to turn it over here to Shaqir. Are you on the line, brother?
Hey, good, man. I'm going to make you the presenter and turn it over to you. I know you're in Vancouver, man. I think you're up there. I don't know if you're skiing or what.
Yeah, dude, so firstly, if there's any background noise, it's because I'm in a coffee shop. I've been hanging out by myself for the whole week really, in Vancouver, B.C., in Canada. And yesterday I booked a flight back to Phoenix, via London I guess, and I missed the flight. So I'm staying here for a few days, and I just bumped into someone, and they just said, you need to go to Whistler, Whistler's great.
So I think I just canceled all my week's plans, and I'm going to Whistler tomorrow to learn how to ski. And I have no idea how long I'm going to stay there. So, yeah, I'm having a blast out here. Thanks for bringing me out, Dave. I'm always happy to share some of the stuff that I've learned.
As you guys probably know, my name is Shaqir Hussain. I'm 24 years old. I'm originally from London, U.K., but now, due to time, money, freedom of location, I've just been traveling around the world for the last maybe eight to nine months, just doing so many crazy things — stuff that once upon a time I used to dream about doing. And I'm so grateful for people like Dave and Dave, who have created a platform that allows anyone from any background, from any experience.
It doesn't matter what your background is. It doesn't matter what you've already achieved in the past or what you haven't achieved in the past. This platform is the only vehicle that I see online right now that's really helping the average person create freedom in their life, helping the average person really master the cutting-edge marketing strategies that are available right now, that anyone can utilize so they can start writing their own paycheck for life and create unlimited amounts of income. And over the last few months, I actually made a two-minute video, or slide, or whatever.
So I'm just going to run through this — here's basically my four-minute short story on how I started with Empower Network, okay? I got an email from a guy called Alex Z. Alex Z, if you're listening to this, I love you, bro. Alex Z, you know, presented this opportunity to me and basically said, you need to get yourself to —
I think it was Atlanta, the first event. I can't remember. I traveled quite a lot. I think it was Atlanta or San Diego, the first event. And I went to the event.
I was the guy who saw all the other leaders like Aaron Rashkin get on stage and start sharing the story. And then I saw all these guys get on stage with huge checks. And me — I've always been an open-minded person, but, no offense to Dave and Dave, I love those guys — at that time I couldn't take them seriously.
They were there wearing — I don't know what they were wearing, shorts and T-shirts, and I've never seen anyone wear that on stage. I was the guy right at the back of the room, with my arms crossed, being unsocial, just looking at all of these guys and thinking, is this stuff for real? What is going on here? And they do this thing called the commission countdown, which I'd never heard of anyone do. I don't know why.
I guess I know why most people don't do it, is because most people don't have success using a platform like Empower Network. And so they do this commission countdown, and around 90 to 95% of the room stands up. At the time I really didn't make any money, so I was a complete newbie inside Empower Network. This was probably about, I don't know, maybe seven, eight months ago, guys and girls. And so Dave and Dave do this commission countdown, and about 95% of the room stands up.
And I'm there, right at the back of the room, and I remember the hairs on my arms stand up, and I was thinking, wow, this stuff is for real. And so I go all in. I make sure I'm committed. I put skin into the game.
I do whatever it takes. Was it in San Diego, Dave? Now, guys, this business for me was really, really hard at times. But the truth is, the mind is great, and I've always wanted to travel around the world and just be a person that has time, location, wherever I want to be, wherever I want to travel, just be free, never having to worry about money or any constraints that hold most people back. And right now, I'm super grateful to be just living this dream life.
I'm really just living this dream life, and a huge thanks to the guys, Dave and Dave, and not just Dave and Dave, but all of the leaders inside Empower Network who have actually contributed, who are always there, even teaching me. I was speaking to John Levina yesterday, and the guy was just going way out of his way to give me a hand with some stuff that I had no idea how to do. So that's pretty much my four-minute story in a nutshell of how I built an Empower Network business. So on a day-to-day basis, I basically spend maybe sometimes 30, sometimes 45 minutes a day setting up a couple of solo ads.
Three years ago, when I got into this industry, this is what happened. I had to borrow the money from one of my best friends called Masoom, and he lent me around 1,500 bucks, and I brought myself to Las Vegas.
And there was this hotel, and a conference that was there. I'm sitting there — at the time I was around 20, 21 years old. I'm this new, young punk kid. I'm really hungry.
I'm just seriously motivated. I've got that attitude of, I'm just gonna do whatever it takes, because I grew up in a very shitty environment with people that weren't really good around — people who were selling drugs, people who were taking drugs. And I knew, if I didn't get out of that rut — I grew up in one of the most deprived areas in London. Growing up, I didn't have much money. And all we knew was violence, drugs, and I actually don't talk about this stuff much.
But I'm just being transparent with you all. I started, and I knew this isn't the way that I want to live my whole life. And right now, it's sad to say that the guys that I grew up with, most of them have dead-end jobs. Some of them are in prison. One of them actually got murdered.
And it's just horrific. So I don't really think about it. I don't really talk about that stuff. I've just moved on, choosing entrepreneurship and freedom and marketing. Because ultimately, marketing is the ultimate leverage.
And once you guys learn — you can see inside the 15K Formula, inside the Master's Retreat, how to really become a master marketer — once you become a master marketer, you can write your own paycheck for the rest of your life. You'll never have to rely on anyone. You'll never have to go get a job. Because you can create money, create cash out of thin air, as long as you know how to market effectively.
So I'm in Vegas, and I meet these two guys. I remember going up to them. They were from Norway. We were in a business opportunity with Aaron Rashkin. And the buy-in for that program was $20,000.
It was ridiculous. And you don't even get a quarter of the value that you get inside of it now. So I met these two guys. And before that, I never met anyone who actually made probably more than 50,000 pounds a year. And I meet these two guys in a bar in Vegas.
And these guys are laughing about how they couldn't use a computer six months ago. So, after about 45 minutes of talking back and forth with them, I asked them, have you guys actually made money with this program? And the guy turns around to me, looks at me, looks at his friend, looks at me again, looks me up and down, puts his head back, and says, I made 65 grand last month. This was a guy in his 50s or 60s, broken teeth, drinking beer, smoking a cigarette. And I just looked at him and thought, wow.
And I don't know if you guys have ever been to Vegas, but outside the Paris Hotel, there's a hotel called the Bellagio. It's absolutely beautiful. I visit that place every single year, a couple of times a year. And I remember standing in front of the Bellagio and just having that belief inside me, thinking to myself, damn, I've just met these people, I want to go do whatever it takes, and I want to get damn rich.
Because everyone has their own why. When I got started in this industry, what I wanted to do was get rich. And I don't apologize for it, and neither should you. It's a great feeling to want to acquire money. But just know that once you have acquired money and paid off your bills and your debts, there's a whole new meaning.
And now, what gives me the most fulfillment is seeing that person — actually, let me just see if there's any messages. I don't usually check my email unless it's commission-related. But check this out, okay? This is my back office.
And look at this email that I just got an hour ago. So, I was on the webinar. Hey, Shaqir, I'm new, and I'm excited about Empower. Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago.
People are empowered. People are happy and excited to get to the event. When I got started, I used to hate going to these events because they were just pitch-fests. There would be about 10 speakers, and every single speaker would be selling a different product in these little breakout rooms. And this is what I wake up to on a day-to-day basis.
Here's just kind of my email inbox. I'm showing this not to brag, but to show you guys what's really possible when you take action, when you go all in, when you put skin into the game, when you develop an attitude, when you cultivate a knowing and awareness that you're going to do whatever it takes to get to where you want to go. So, let me just click on this one. This is called the Costa Rica Mastermind Intensive Alert, the product, right?
And I got a $500 sale here. And guys, remember, I'm here hanging out in Vancouver whilst my internet business is working for me. Here's another $500. Here's another $500. That's $1,500.
I actually didn't even check this — this is it, live stuff. Here's another. It's called a 15K Formula Alert.
This is for $1,000. Now look at this — this is eight hours ago.
This is over $2,500 for the day. I've got some other sales over here — these are only $1,000. These are only $25 sales.
But they all add up. I mean, look at this. Over $2,500 for the day. This is pretty much what my life looks like right now. When I got started in this industry, I was in so much debt.
I had to go and beg and borrow the money. But I knew, after that first event, my belief shot up. Now, if you're listening to this, I want you to pay attention. Because this is what happened to me.
Grab a pen and paper and quickly write this down. So, I went, all in. I put skin into the game.
And I did whatever I had to do to make sure that I had all of the products. Not because I just wanted to make money, but I didn't want my sponsor to take all my pass-ups. And I knew that from the beginning.
So I was being smart. I positioned myself, and I got qualified to get all of the products. At the time, the product line that I bought into was around $20,000 to $24,000. And at this time, I was 21 years old.
So, what happened was, I went to the event. I didn't have the money for the event. So I borrowed the money to go to the event. And I remember going to Vegas and thinking to myself, damn, I'm in a hotel.
It was a really crappy hotel. Now I'm so fortunate to be staying in five-star hotels all day, every day. But at the time, it was a crappy hotel in Vegas. And I remember, I don't know if you guys can relate to this, but I remember opening up the fridge and thinking to myself, damn, if I take out that bottle of water or that drink, it's going to charge me. And it was just not a nice place to be.
And so here's what happened. After meeting those two guys from Norway, my belief shot right up. And this was in November 2009.
November, sorry — November 2009, December 2009, January 2010. Boom. My first month that I made big money. And at the time I was 21 years old.
Now I've grown up, because I'm 24. But at the time I was only 21, I guess. And so, this is kind of what I've broken it down into. You do whatever it takes to get all in, to go to an event, so your belief increases.
The more that your belief increases, that's component one. Now, component one drives component two. Because you've seen the belief, you see a whole bunch of people on stage making tens of thousands of dollars, hundreds of thousands of dollars. And you're like, damn, there's no difference between those guys and me. There's no difference between me and you.
It's just I did a few things differently, and now I'm telling you, go and do those few things. And it's not rocket science. It's simple, but yet most people don't like to do those simple things, or they complicate those simple things. So, my belief, after that first event, my belief shot up, and then I started taking action, and then I got a result. This was January 2010.
And so, what happened after I got that result — my belief further increased. And I said to myself, wow, I can't believe I just did that. I came from a very poor background. I came from a place where no one around me was an entrepreneur.
No one around me wanted to come out of their shell. I dropped out of university in my final year, against my family and friends' wishes, because I went chasing this online thing. And it's funny now, that sometimes my cousins will look at me and say, hey, you know what, has that online thing worked out? Because they see me traveling around the world.
And I actually just pulled out a few pictures because I want to inspire you. I'm 24 years old, and I just moved into this multi-million dollar mansion in Phoenix, Arizona. And it's something that when I was a kid, I used to dream about, living in a mansion with my own swimming pool. This house has got like six to eight bedrooms. It's absolutely amazing.
And I'm so grateful. That's handsome old me here. I just chopped my hair off as well after four years. So, Dave, I don't know what else you want me to talk about, other than — so here's the last thing that I want to leave you guys with.
Because I can talk for the next five hours. But let me give you guys the nuggets. Thank you so much.
[Audio garbled — a few lines unintelligible.]
Remember, I never had those people around me that I wanted to be like when I was growing up. So I went in search of reading books, attending seminars, going and buying all these product launches after product launches, and then just going round and round in circles. But when I figured out the secret, when I figured out what makes the real difference, I just followed it to the teeth, and it's really simple. You do the things that most people will never do. You look at everyone else and you observe the masses, you observe what 95% of the people do.
They don't take action, they sit around, they don't take responsibility for their own results in life, okay? And you want to be the person that takes responsibility. You want to be the person that lifts yourself up by leveraging this community. And I think that's the key.
What happened with me is, I remember emailing David Sharp, and I didn't just say, hey man, this money feels good. I said, hey man, this is clean money. I don't know if David Sharp remembers that. And then he called me up straight away on Skype. He was at this event, and he called me up and said, hey man, you got me with the clean money, what's up?
And I was like, dude, I've never seen another product that I market, that I share with other people, where people are so damn passionate. People love this product. People actually get results utilizing this product. When they go all in and start making four, five thousand dollar commissions, it's absolutely amazing. And I remember messaging Dave Sharp saying, hey man, this feels just so good.
No hype. Because most products online are just full of hype that just makes you go round and round, overwhelming you with countless, pointless information. And I realized early on that this guy, David Sharp especially — Dave is a great sales guy on video, but David Sharp's copywriting and his sales formulas, I've never seen anything like it in this industry. So here's what I did. I knew that one of the fastest ways to make big money online was, number one, to make sure that you have all the products so you can maximize your commissions.
Number two, I started doing solo ad advertising, which is basically placing tiny little advertisements into other people's newsletters that drive a couple hundred leads a day, 50 leads a day. Here's actually my email list on that account, and I've generated probably around 20,000 leads. And here's the thing — I actually started in that network with 752 subscribers in the internet marketing space. And now I have around 20,000 active subscribers. And from those 20,000 active subscribers, I've generated well over $344,000 in the last six to seven months, all working part-time.
And the reason why I use solo ads, and it's not just the solo ads — the reason why I'm so passionate about the entire network is I've actually never had a business model that pays me consistently, reliably, and predictably. Now, don't get me wrong, you have to first put in the work, you have to first learn, add value to yourself so that you can leverage that value and really play the game at that high level. Once you figure things out, you guys can go into the back office after this webinar and watch the six hours, the six monstrous hours of webinars that I did. By the way, I've never done that before. I'm not doing those webinars ever again.
But I did it for six hours when I was in Singapore. I took four hours out, from 2 to 6 a.m., and I did those webinars on the feedback that I got. I just love this community. I love where it's going.
And you guys are part of it. Make sure you're all in. Make sure you get to the next event. And just do whatever it takes. And don't — you see so many different shiny objects online, so many different levels.
So many different tools, so many different programs. Stay focused. Here's some advice that I got from one of my first-ever mentors, called Jay Kiva. And what Jay said, was, you know, you have everything within yourself and everything inside of this community to get you to your goals. I did not promote a single affiliate product until I hit around 200,000 subscribers.
So, Dave Sharp, I can talk for the next four or five hours. I'd like to let someone else have a go. You still here with me? Cool. So, yeah, guys, that's what I leave you with.
This stuff works. Actually, here, I pulled out my income for 2013 for the month of January. All right? So I want to, I have this thing my assistant does.
I'm actually going to go into my Empower Network account. This was the January that I was speaking — I think we were in Austin, or I forget, because I'm traveling all the time. I think it was in Austin.
I was traveling, and I spoke in front of about 4,000 people, right? This is what I did. I mean, this is basically the proof. Hey, Shaqir, I'm getting a lot of feedback on you, brother.
For myself personally. And here's the more fascinating thing. This number that you see —
I don't know why that is. I don't know. Weird. Okay. I'll cut it very quick.
So you can see the power of this community. Appreciate it, brother. You can see the power of this product line. So guys and gals, I hope you got some value out of this.
Dave Sharp, back to you, my brother. Thanks a lot to you and David Wood for creating such a community where the average person can come in and actually expand.
Thanks a lot to you and David Wood for creating such a community where the average person can come in and actually start to really feel like they belong here, that this is the right place for them to go out and learn marketing, for them to go out and learn a skill that can one day help them live the dream life like I'm doing right now. And I'm so thankful to you guys, the community, all of the leaders.
Just one of my best friends in this industry. So with that being said, peace. This guy really doesn't need an introduction. He's been in the game for a long time — Aaron Rashkin. This is a guy who believed in us when we first got started and contributes an unbelievable amount of value to our products, to our leadership, just an all-around superstar stud.
So with that being said, man, Aaron, over to you, brother. I sure can. You're good, man. You're good, brother.
Dave, can you hear me? Just waiting for a little bit of feedback, want to make sure. Lots of great stuff shared tonight.
Anybody else hear me? Yeah, you're good, man. Okay, good. I was just waiting for a little bit of feedback, want to make sure you're good, brother.
Well, wow. Lots of great stuff shared tonight. We really covered the gamut, I'm sure. We haven't left any stone unturned —
not just tonight, but over the last three and a half or four months' worth of filming the 15K Formula. And I have just been blown away by the quality of the content, quite frankly. There's nothing that even comes close to what we have here for our members who become 15K Formula members. It is so critical, gang, if you care about the success of your members, that you make sure that they do everything in their power to creatively finance, or come up with the capital, or make some sacrifices to make an investment in themselves with this product.
Just absolutely incredible, what's been done here for the first, I believe, 12 or 13 modules. I don't even know how many modules it's been. So that being said, Dave, I'm actually up in the mountains right now. I don't know how the reception is up here.
It's kind of tough to get a call down the mountain sometimes. I was out all day today with my awesome friend and yours, Chris Rochelot. I'm actually at his condo right now up in the mountains. I spent the day with another great member, one of the founding members. Really, one of the charter members of Empower Network and one of our good friends as well, Adam Chandler.
We were shooting videos. We were taking photos and just had such an amazing time up in Vail today. I've never skied Vail before. I've skied all over the U.S., all over Colorado, but today was an epic day for skiing. For me personally, I just came back from rehabbing a torn ACL in my knee and had some damage to the meniscus.
I just had to get it fixed. Today was my day. It was just absolutely worth every ounce of rehab and training and praying and eating and resting and massaging, and the therapy and the hot tubs and the deep tissue massages, and the sweating from when my massage therapist would rub the joints and the connective tissue around my kneecap, just to make sure that my knee didn't stick for days at a time. It was a great process over the last 12 months. Today was just a breakthrough day for me personally.
I just want to share one of the reasons that I was able to spend my day today the way I did, and have an absolutely epic day, is very similar to what our members have to do to be successful in their business. It's called getting outside your comfort zone. It's about doing things that would normally make the average person literally puke or pack up their pup tent and go home. And I say that in all seriousness, that a lot of people want to make major life changes.
They want to make income changes. They want to make lifestyle changes. They want to be able to pay off their bills. They want to get out of debt. They want to free up some of their credit.
They want to be able to travel, take more vacations, have more options, have more free time, right? Be able to choose their life by design. But yet, when it comes to going outside their comfort zone to make changes — not just in what they do, but who they are — they go back to the old patterns and habits that got them in the position they're in in the first place.
And so it's critical to understand that no matter what part of your business you're looking at — whether it's learning a technical skill, whether it's learning how to have a conversation with a brand new member, maybe it's about speaking to your sponsor for the first time, or maybe it's about attending an event, purchasing and investing in any one of Empower Network's products — and I've got to say, it doesn't matter whether you're even building an Empower Network business. What matters is that you use the products to build whatever business you're in. A lot of people say that they're in Empower Network. The question is, is Empower Network in you?
And it doesn't matter what you market. You could market tomatoes on the side of the road. You can market boat canvases. You can market internet marketing or education or any information that you would like to market. And it just so happens that we have, you know, the finest affiliate payout.
I know a lot of people who come to Empower Network are not only affiliates in the marketing industry, because they weren't involved in business, planning, or commission-based industries before. But I know realtors, insurance professionals, doctors, artists, chefs — a corporate chef who uses Empower Network's viral blogging system to get exposure, to get their name out in the marketplace, to get ranked on the search.
market. And our network — that's great too. It doesn't matter what nature, it doesn't matter what your product is. As I said, I'll say it again — your product is not really a product, your product is people. When you learn more about people, you learn more about your product, and you learn more about the real product: the market. Which is called change. And if you don't change, you can't expect other people to join you for the same reason that you joined us — and that was to change. So you need to step outside your comfort zone and do things that make most other people feel very uncomfortable. And you have to realize that your comfort zone is your failure zone. I'm going to say that again: your comfort zone is your failure zone. The question was asked of me today by our friend Adam on video. He said — what was it, I've only got seven percent on battery, gang, I better speak quickly here before I have to shut my system down — the question was, Sofia and I got online for the very first time four years ago, and the question was, how did you go from zero online knowledge and experience and education and information to a half million dollars in commissions in your very first year? And the answer to that is that we have a really high risk tolerance. It means that we're willing to take a bigger risk than most average people, and this is why we don't just get average results, we get exceptional results. And for you to think that you can get exceptional results by being average, by being status quo, by buying your own excuses, and using what's called blame, shame, and justify — these are the three things that most people do every single day, which keeps them exactly where they are in their business and their personal life and their income. So it's really critical to know that if I can light up any of your blind spots right now, if I can shed a little bit of light on what's going on for some of our members who might be listening in — if you feel stuck, if you feel frustrated, if you feel confused, you're on the right path. The key is to do something completely different and completely irrational, to get completely irrational results. Nobody successful ever got good results by playing it safe, by tiptoeing quietly to their grave. They want to go there screaming, full bore, top of their lungs, as wild and crazy as you can possibly be. If you look at the people who are the most successful, not just here in Empower, but just in the industry, in our profession, in our niche, in the world — look at what people do in order to become successful, and again, I want to tell you that most other people find what we do very boring and very uncomfortable. So step outside your comfort zone. Your comfort zone is your failure zone. Put yourself in a very new place. You will get comfortable being uncomfortable, and that is the key to really breaking through and having massive success, Dave.
So that being said, I want to thank you for not just having me on, but also for having everybody on — over a thousand people per webinar. This is an epic product. This is the product in our industry, and everybody deserves to own this if they really want to make it to the top in any company they're a part of.
So Dave, thanks. I appreciate you and Dave Wood more than you can imagine. I just can't say enough about what you guys have done, not just for myself and my family, but for the thousands of family members that we have around this country and around this world. Thank you so much. I appreciate it, man.
So enjoy your time out there, brother. I'll see you here in about a month. I'm just happy to have you on board. Say hello to Aaron and Bailey, and we'll be in touch this week. Thanks for everything.
All right, bro. All right, last guy I'm going to bring on is — guys, what a webinar. Dick, I'm actually going to turn the screen over to you. I don't know if you've got anything.
If you don't, that's fine. You can just leave it blank. I'm going to bring on a guy who — I had no idea who he was just a month and a half ago.
And again, this is not a training about Empower specifically. This is a generic training. But I will mention what this guy was able to do with the things that he knows in his ability to move and influence people.
I saw the guy make a million dollars in about 70 days. And when I went and hung out with Vic, I actually realized that he was one of the only guys who did what Dave and I did when we first got started — when we came up with the concept of what we're doing, which is basically, when you help somebody, and I don't just mean help somebody by telling them what to do, but actually go out there and help them make their first dollar online by really investing in them. And I don't mean working with somebody and holding their hand and babying somebody. I mean really thinking it through and letting go of this mentality that we have, that there's a lack of money out there. Vic doesn't have that mentality.
Vic understands that he can help somebody. He can literally give some money out of his paycheck to somebody. I've seen him do it, through various promotions that he's done.
And that will come back to him tenfold. And what Dave and I did was the same exact thing that I've seen this guy do — go out there and not have a mentality that, you know, when Dave and I came up with the concept of the affiliate side of Empower Network, of paying people 100% commissions — and I want to say, the reason why I'm telling you this is not to sell you on that. Because that's not what this is about.
It's to tell you that most people, when we launched the affiliate program here at Empower, called us crazy. They called us stupid. They said that will never work. They said, you guys are not going to be able to afford to run your company. But what Dave and I knew was that if we helped more people make more money, then they'll stay around forever.
And then we'll have the opportunity to develop leaders and transform lives. Now, guess what everybody out there in the industry is doing — trying to copy us. All the same people who criticized us, told us that we were stupid and crazy and that it would never work, are now trying their best. And I give them credit for trying.
They have no idea why things are really working here, though. They think it's the 100% commissions. They think it's this. They think it's that. They have no clue.
But now all those same people are going out there trying to do what we did. I saw and understood that concept. Now, look, we've brought out some star power here. And I just wanted to end with a guy who — I had no idea who the guy was, right? And a lot of you don't either.
A lot of you know a lot of the people inside of our company, because you've heard them a lot. Vic proved to me, when I had him on the first conference call, that he thought the same way that I did too. So with that being said, man, I'm going to let you wrap it up, brother, because you were out doing something else this evening, and then you came back home, just got home, I think 15 minutes ago, and decided to pop on here with us and give us a few thoughts, man. So with that being said, I'm going to turn it over to you, man, and let you wrap us up here, brother.
Mr. Dave, can you hear me, bro? You're loud and clear, man. Awesome.
Well, I just want to take this opportunity, man. I know you guys have been going on for what, about almost three hours here? Awesome stuff. I don't know which — I just literally got home here, and when Dave asked me to get on the webinar, I said, man, I would love to get on and contribute and share a few nuggets with everybody on the call here tonight. The stuff that really helped me succeed in this industry — I think that's the stuff I want to share with you.
I'm not going to take a lot of your time. I understand you guys have been listening to this webinar and it's probably been like drinking from a fire hose, because I know that anytime Empower puts on these webinars and trainings, it's like drinking from the fire hose. So I'll keep my stuff really short, but I do want to give everybody listening to me tonight, and everybody who's watching this recorded, a few things that I believe are going to be — when you guys get this, it will absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, transform your life for the better. You won't even realize the power of this stuff, but when you actually apply it, everything can change for you. Let me give you a perspective on this kind of stuff.
Just a few years ago, Dave, when I got started in this industry, I actually got started by borrowing $30,000 from a friend of mine, who borrowed it from his bank against his house, because I did not have the money to get started. Crazy story. Most people won't believe it, but it's true. But what happened was, through some of the principles I'm going to share with everybody tonight, it allowed me to absolutely transform everything in my business. Now, I got started with Empower — when was it — December 20th, about two and a half months ago.
And guys, in two and a half months, I'm going to tell you right now — most of you guys are with Empower Network, but what you're learning here can be applied to anything you're doing, whether you're in insurance, whether you're a banker, whether you're a builder, whatever. These principles will allow you to just dominate whatever you're doing in whatever industry. If you're in sales, it's going to allow you to dominate whatever you're doing out there. But folks, just to give you an idea of the power of what Dave and Dave, what you guys have put together here, is absolutely mind-blowing. And I think you guys have completely turned this industry on its head.
I've seen a lot of companies come and go, but paying out over, I don't know, 30 million plus in a short period of time that Empower Network has been around — it took me almost a year to decide to become a member of Empower Network, because I did not understand the concept of 100% commissions. But guys, just to give you an idea of the power that you have in your hands right now by listening to these webinars and going through the trainings that Empower has given you, and by associating yourself with people like Dave and Dave and the leaders in Empower Network — folks, I got started December 20th. And some of you guys will hear this, and in the back of your head you're going to think this is too good to be true.
But I'm telling you, this is the kind of power that you have in front of you right now. And when you actually apply this stuff that you are learning — let me get back to it, there are five principles, five things I want to share with everybody tonight on this webinar. And so these are the five things, folks, that I'll just call — how about we just say, how to succeed in anything. So whether you're within Empower Network, whether you're promoting a different business opportunity, whether you're an online or offline marketer, whether you have brick and mortar, whatever it is that you're doing, guys, whatever industry you're in —
there's five things that, if you apply them in your life, in your business — five things. Not 25, not 55, there are five things. I'm going to boil it down to five things that will absolutely transform your life, if you take this stuff seriously. Number one, how to succeed in anything.
Number one, folks, this is very important. I see 98% of our population, they don't understand this concept. And this is the concept of setting a crystal clear goal of exactly what you want to achieve in your business, in your life, in what you're doing. So thing number one — before you talk about strategies, before you talk about money, what's the best method to get more customers, whatever the thing is — guys, number one is set yourself a crystal clear goal of exactly what you want to accomplish.
Exactly what you want to do in your business, and exactly where you want your business to be. It's very important to be specific. And I know a lot of you guys have heard about this kind of stuff, but I want you to take this to heart. I want you guys to listen to me tonight, with an open mind and an open heart.
So you've got to be very specific. Exactly how much money do you want to make by the end of 2013, by December 31st, 2013, or whenever you're listening to this recording? Exactly how much do you want to make in that timeframe? Exactly how many customers do you want to attract in your business in the next 90 days? You've got to put that in writing.
Folks, 98% of our population — the reason that a lot of people are struggling, one of the huge reasons, is that people don't understand — they hear about this, but they don't put it to use. And I'm telling you right now, if you want to make it big, if you want to be a part of the two-percenters club and have what the 2% of our population have, and live the kind of lifestyle they have — those people set themselves crystal clear goals, and they know exactly where they want to go. So that's thing number one. Now, thing number two, guys, is this — you have got to believe that you can do it.
Now, you can set yourself a goal, but if deep down in your heart of hearts you don't believe that you can actually achieve that goal, you're screwed. You failed before you even started. So believing that you can do it — you say, Vic, believing that's easy to say. How do I believe that I can do it?
Here's how. When I got started in this industry, in this community called internet marketing, I did not have any experience. I had zero knowledge about marketing. I was coming from the banking industry.
And so what I did for myself, to really trick my mind in the beginning to believe that I could do it, was that I was looking at other people, other success stories, and other testimonials, and I would constantly listen to testimonials of people who are actually doing it. So here's what you need to ask yourself. In the industry that you are a part of right now, whether it's with Empower Network, whether it's whatever you're doing out there, are there people who have what you want to have? Are there people who are earning the kind of money that you want to earn?
If there are people doing what you're doing and having tremendous success, listen, there is absolutely no reason why somebody can do it and you cannot. So that's thing number one. Thing number two, I'm going to give you guys a resource right now. Thing number two, this is also very important, and I think your success is going to spring from this thing, and it's called self-image. So think about this.
Everybody — we actually had a webinar of my own yesterday or last night, and we talked about this. Hold on one sec, I've got people Skyping me here, so I need to turn it off real quick. Do not disturb me, please. All right.
Cool. Awesome. Okay. So let's think about this. Every one of us — you, me, everybody else — we all have this thing called self-image, which is how you see yourself as a person.
So, for example, if you are working at a job right now, and you have been doing that for 15, 20, 30, 40 years — well, what does that mean? You know what happens with most people is their mind just shuts this stuff off. So what you need to focus on is changing and shifting your self-image to where you see yourself as the person you already want to be, as the person you are striving to become.
So how do you do that? There is an awesome book, and I know some of you guys may have heard about this, and I recommend this to my people, to my customers, to my private clients. I always recommend this book because it helped me transform and change my personal life. You don't make money just because you learned a new traffic strategy or a new way to get more customers. It's not going to sustain, right?
So in order for you to grow your income, you have got to grow yourself as a person. That's the first thing. So how do you change your self-image? Guys, go to your Barnes and Noble, go to your bookstore, and pick this book up. It's called Psycho-Cybernetics.
Psycho-Cybernetics, by Maxwell Maltz. Go read that book, read it like five times. Just trust me on that. Just go read it five times. If you read it once, you'll probably get like 15% of the content.
Of what the author is telling you. If you read it three times, maybe 50%. Read it five times, and you will really understand what he's talking about. And then you'll be able to apply that stuff on a deep level, and it's going to help you absolutely transform everything in your business, your bank account, your personal relationships, everything in your life — you can apply that stuff. So what they're talking about is — think about this — I'm sitting in the room right now in my home office, and it's like 73 degrees or something in the room right now.
And this is wintertime here in South Dakota. So if I open the window, the temperature is going to drop down to, say, 68. And so what happens is, when the temperature drops down in the room, the heater is going to kick in. The heater is going to kick in and bring the temperature back to 72, or whatever that's set for. When it gets hot, an air conditioner is going to kick in.
In other words, it's going to level, it's going to bring the temperature back to whatever the thermostat is set for. Well, folks, what people don't realize is every one of us — me, you, everybody else — we have our thermostat. Our financial thermostat, our relationship thermostat, our lifestyle thermostat, that is set at a certain level. Make sense? It's set at a certain level.
And so that's what your thermostat is set for. Maybe you have a good month, you do a promotion or something, but your self-image is not congruent with how much money you're making. And so what happens is your financial air conditioner is going to kick in and bring you back down. Does that make sense?
So guys, very important. That's the first thing we talk about. Just trust me, go get that book, read it five times, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
So the idea here is to change your financial thermostat. Adjust it. The only way you change the temperature in the room permanently is by going to that thermostat and adjusting it up or down.
And so if you want to increase your money, you guys have got to work on yourself first. All right, so let's move on. That all ties into belief, believing that you can do it.
So, when that happens, when you see other people doing it, and then you work on yourself, and shifting your personal self-image to where you see yourself as the person you want to become, you will have that belief, and nobody is going to be able to convince you otherwise. I'm telling you, when I was broke, when I was struggling, when I was in debt, you could not convince me — nobody was able to convince me that I wasn't already earning a million dollars a year.
Even though I was broke at the time. And you know what? It caught up to me. And now it's reality.
So moving on to thing number three, guys — thing number three is also critically important for your success. And that is this: your environment. Again, this is going to apply across the board. It doesn't matter what industry you're in. Your environment is more important than what's built into your genes from birth.
People that you hang out with, people that you associate with, people that you listen to, the books you read — that stuff plays more of a role. It's going to influence you more than what was built into your genes from birth, from your parents.
People say, well, I can't succeed because my parents were never successful, and my grandparents were never successful. That's BS. That's not true.
Don't believe anybody who tells you that kind of crap. Because that's not true. You can succeed regardless of your history.
You can succeed regardless of what happened in your family. You can be successful regardless of what happened in your past, how many times you failed. That stuff is not important. You can succeed by deciding that you're going to be successful and doing the stuff that I'm telling you right now.
Just work on that, focus on that stuff, and guys, success will find you. And when success comes — it comes, like Napoleon Hill said this, and I didn't believe it when I read Think and Grow Rich. I didn't believe it when I first came across this concept — he said, listen, when riches are going to come, when success is going to come, it's going to come so quickly your head is going to spin, and you're going to wonder where that was during all those years.
Now that I'm actually living this kind of stuff, I can definitely attest that that's true. So environment — you got to put yourself in what I call a success environment. Guys, here's what I mean by that. The first thing, right.
And I'm just going to tell you what I do for myself, and what I tell my private clients, and what I tell my family. And that is this: stop watching TV.
Stop watching the news, because here's why: when you watch TV all the time, when you're sitting in front of that jump box, when you feed your mind with the latest news and what's going on in the world, with what's going on with the economy, with somebody shot somebody else —
there was a plane crash, there was a boat that sank, whatever — 99.9% of that is garbage. 99.9% of the news is negative news.
Now what happens when you're feeding your mind every single day with that kind of stuff? Some of you guys are watching that first thing in the morning when you wake up, and that's the last thing you hear before you go to bed. I'm telling you, if you continue to do that, succeeding is going to be very, very difficult for you.
Almost impossible. Here's why: because when you feed your mind with negativity, when you feed your mind with crappy information, with limiting — what's the word I'm looking for — with fear, with what's going on, with what's wrong with the world, with why people can't be successful —
guys, you are not going to realize this, but on your subconscious level, your subconscious and unconscious mind is going to pick that up. Consciously, you're going to think, hey, I'm strong, that stuff is not going to affect me.
You know, BS. I'm telling you, that stuff is going to go into your subconscious. And then you're going to wonder how come you're doing what this other guy is doing, and this other guy is having success, and you're doing the exact same stuff he is doing. What's the difference? Well, the difference is you're feeding your mind with garbage.
And so whatever is going into your mind, on the subconscious level — I'm not talking about the conscious level — you can trick your conscious level, but you can never trick your subconscious level. And that kind of stuff goes directly into your subconscious.
You don't even know it, you don't even notice it. It's like a ship — if you turn it one degree, of course, you're not going to notice it for the first couple of miles.
But as it gets, you know, a thousand miles into the sea, then it's completely off course. So the same thing goes with that. All right.
So stop watching garbage. Stop complaining. This is very important, guys. I don't care what's going on in your family — if your dog did something that got you pissed off, or whatever, if your boss at work did something, or something is not going right —
and we tend to complain, right? What I found for myself is when you complain, you get more stuff to complain about. Friends — so again, I'm being completely open with you, because I want to give you stuff that will help. I'm telling you, apply this stuff in your business, give it a 30-day trial.
30-day trial. In 30 days, guys, if you're going to be deliberate about this stuff for 30 days, you will not realize how different your life is going to be. Just trust me on this.
Just do a 30-day test, and you'll see that what I'm telling you is 100% correct. So it doesn't matter whatever is going on, whether your house is about to be foreclosed on, your car is about to be repossessed, whatever.
Just don't complain, period, about anything in your life — not just business, nothing. If you're not getting the kind of sales you want, don't complain.
If you're not getting the kind of traffic you want, don't complain. If business is not going the way you want it, don't complain. Just don't do it. Because when you complain — Tihar Rapper says this best.
He said, if you complain, you become a living, breathing crap magnet. So if you don't want to be that living, breathing crap magnet, stop complaining in your life. Just cut it out, and don't associate with people who complain around you.
So, moving on. You want to surround yourself with like-minded people. So what I want to focus on right now, folks, for about a minute here, is the power of events. So if you are a part of a company, a part of an industry, like within Empower Network — Dave and Dave, what you guys do with the company is absolutely phenomenal. Having events every 90 days, I haven't seen anything like this.
It's really important for you guys — if you want to be successful, you want to put yourself in the environment conducive to your success. And, going to events, I found this early on.
I found out that, and that's what my mentor told me. He's like, Vic, if you want to be successful, man, you want to surround yourself with other like-minded people, people who are going in the same direction that you want to go, people who have the lifestyle you want to have, people who are earning the kind of money you want to earn.
You want to hang out with those people as much as possible. He said, Vic, if you know that somebody you admire is on a plane going from Chicago to LA, and you live in Chicago or whatever, and you want to do whatever you can to be with that person if possible —
get yourself a plane ticket. Get yourself seated next to him, if possible, on the plane. Just go from Chicago to LA for nothing, even if you don't have any business in LA or Chicago.
Just be next to that person, and on the way from Chicago to LA, just talk to him and ask him questions. Because that's the power of association.
And so, moving on — if there is an event going on, like with Empower Network, we have an event coming up in Chicago next month. There will be future events coming up. When you guys are listening to this recording or whatever, and there's a next event coming up, and if you happen to be with Empower Network, guys, just trust me on this. Don't ask questions.
Get to the event. Don't even think about it. Because you're not doing this for Dave. You're not doing this for me.
You're not doing this for your sponsor. You are doing this for yourself. Make sense? You're doing this for yourself. And again, the only person who can help you or fail you is yourself.
I'm telling you, get to the event. If you are in any other industry and you have purchased this product — if you're in insurance, if your company puts on events, you want to go to those events.
And you want to hang out and seek out people who are top producers in that company. And you want to get yourself around those people, because something magical happens when you go to events, and something magical happens when you surround yourself with people who are like-minded and who are more successful than you are. When I go to events, all I'm looking for — I'm not looking for a bunch of things to take from the event — all I'm looking for is one golden nugget.
One nugget that I can take from the event, that I can bring home and apply to my business right away, and take my business to the next level. One thing, folks, most of the time when I go to events — especially, Dave, Empower Network's last event, that was my first event with Empower.
Man, I came back so fired up. I mean, I felt like I could walk on clouds. It was crazy. But when you go to events, folks, something magical happens. I told this to my people.
I'm like, imagine a skyscraper, and you're standing on the third level, and you look on the east side from a third-level window. In a skyscraper, you have one view.
Now, picture yourself going up to the 73rd level in that same building and looking at the same view, on the east side. Your view is going to be completely different.
What changed? Same building, same place, you're looking at the same direction, and your view is completely different. What's the difference? Well, the difference is you have elevated yourself higher.
That's what happens when you go to the event. That's what's going to happen. You're going to see things that you could not see by not going to the event.
So definitely take this seriously, folks, because this is going to be for your benefit. And then lastly, I'm going to tell you — continue the education on the topic that you want to learn. Like, for example, this 15K Formula, this product is absolutely phenomenal.
So what's cool about this is this stuff is recorded, so you can come back and watch it over and over. And there's, I don't know how many modules here, so you can watch this stuff over and over again.
And the more often you watch this kind of stuff, the better you're going to become. You're going to polish your skills. People want to know the secret. What's the secret?
What's that one thing that's going to make me a million dollars? What's the one thing that's going to set me free for life? What's that one thing, man? And you know what I say? There is no secret.
Okay, guys, stop chasing secrets. Stop chasing magic pills. Stop chasing all the garbage that's being propagated in our industry. The secret is there is no secret.
The secret is doing the stuff I'm telling you right now, which is the stuff that everybody knows, but 98% of people don't apply in their business. That's the secret. You want to do what the 2% are doing.
That's exactly what 2% are doing. All right. So, if there's a webinar going on, if there's a training conference going on, whatever, you want to attend as many of the trainings as possible, because again, you want to be in that success environment. All right, so guys, number four, thing number four is modeling.
I'm going to go real quick, because I need to wrap this up. Modeling is this: if you have somebody who has the lifestyle you want to have —
if you have somebody in your company who's earning the kind of money you want to earn, you want to model that person. You know, if you're looking at the company owners and they're living the kind of lifestyle you want to live, listen, what you need to do is you need to model.
What do I mean by modeling? Listen, there is a difference between listening and modeling. Some gurus will tell you one thing and do another thing.
That's what happens in virtually every industry. What you need to know, what you need to do, is you need to be smart about this. And you need to — man, I've got these guys Facebooking me here.
I should stop looking at the screen, because what you guys need to do is watch what the guru is doing. You need to watch what that person is doing, not necessarily what they're saying. If that person has integrity, they will do what they say. So what they do and what they say is going to match.
But unfortunately, a lot of so-called gurus in this industry don't do what they teach. So when I talk about modeling, you want to do what they do. So what's the best way to do that? Well, you want to buy their products.
You want to get on their list. You want to get on the inside. You want to try to get as close to them as possible.
You want to get into their inner circles. You want to get into their masterminds. You want to get as close to that person as possible, so that you can reverse-engineer and see what they're doing from the inside.
Does that make sense, folks? There's a big difference when you look at somebody from the outside, and when you look at somebody from the inside, when you actually get inside their business, when you get inside their funnels. Make sense?
And so what you need to do is, don't just listen, don't just look and say, wow, how awesome is that for this guy. What you need to do is look at what he's doing. You need to be strategic about it.
You need to be smart about it. And you want to ask yourself questions. You want to ask yourself the how-to questions.
Or the "how do I" questions. How can I apply this in my business? How can I take what he's doing? How can I implement this in my business?
How can I do that? How, how, how? Don't ever ask yourself the "why" questions. Why can't I have what he has?
Why can't I be successful? Because the kind of questions you ask yourself is the kind of answer you're going to get. But if you ask yourself the "how to" or "how do I" questions, your mind is going to search for the right answers, and it's going to give you the answers.
So guys, that's modeling. That's basically what it comes down to — pick somebody you want to model, and just do what they do. Don't necessarily copy their content, just don't be a copycat.
But, we're all adults here on this webinar, you understand that you don't want to just copy. Modeling means taking ideas and the things that are working and implementing them in your business, and putting your spin on it, your touch on it. And so you can model that kind of stuff for yourself.
And thing number five, my friends, I'm going to be done here. Thing number five is this: you want to focus on giving more than you are getting paid for.
It doesn't matter whether you sell insurance. It doesn't matter whether you sell TVs at Best Buy. It doesn't matter if you're selling credit cards. It doesn't matter if you're promoting Empower Network, if you're promoting affiliate offers, if you're promoting whatever. Folks, what is your why?
Why do you do what you do? If you're here just to make a quick buck — if you're here just because you want to make a quick buck, you might make a quick buck, but you will never be successful.
If you're here to build a long-term business that's going to pay you, and that's going to pay your children. And hopefully that's what you're here for — to build yourself a long-term, sustainable business. People say, Vic, some people tell me, and I've got to laugh when I hear this — people say, Vic, internet marketing is not really a real business, you know.
Well, being a brick-and-mortar business owner is a real business. When you have a real store, where you can actually go to that location. What a bunch of BS. Folks, this industry — if you're watching this webinar, chances are you're probably into online marketing, maybe you're a part of Empower Network, you've purchased this product, right? My friend, the internet marketing industry is the best industry, in my opinion, to be a part of, period, hands down, bar none, end of story.
I don't know of any other industry where I can go out there, with no college education, being a college dropout, and just go out there and get a million dollars in two months. I don't know any other industry. I didn't go to college.
English is my second language. And being able to do this kind of stuff is beyond belief for most people. But guys, this is what you have in your hands.
Now, what's the difference? The difference is this: are you willing to apply the stuff that you're learning? Don't just listen to this stuff.
Don't just watch this webinar, or the 15K Formula product, or the Master's course, or the Master's Retreat, or whatever products you've purchased from Empower. Don't just watch it and forget about it. Guys, you want to implement this stuff. You want to watch it over and over and over again.
You want to go over this stuff 50 times, a hundred times, it doesn't matter. How bad do you want to succeed? Because I'm telling you, if I can do this kind of stuff, guys, there is absolutely no reason why you — anybody of you listening to me tonight — can't do this.
If I can do this, you guys have heard tons of stories on this webinar. We've been going on for over three hours now, and if those people can do it, right — we've got people from all over the world here. We've got people with heavy accents. We've got people who are old, who are young. We've got Shaqir, who was just talking, I just got on the call as he was finishing up. The dude is like 24 years old, and he's living the kind of lifestyle that most people can only dream about.
Man, if they can do it, listen, why can't you? And so guys, hopefully, again, if you're taking notes, hopefully you are. Thing number one is set yourself a crystal clear goal.
Be very specific, exactly how much money you want to make. Guys, quick thing. There is not one thing — what I'm talking to you about right now, I'm living proof.
There is not a single thing that I wanted, from material things, not a single thing in my life that I wanted to get that I don't have. Not a single thing.
How did I do that? When I want something, I am very specific. If I want to earn a certain amount of money, I set a goal, and I'm very specific down to the penny.
And I'm very specific with the timeframe of when I want to do it. Something happens, I don't care how it works, something works in the universe.
It just, things just happen when you are specific. So be specific. Number one, again, thing number one, set yourself a crystal clear goal.
Thing number two, believe you can do it. Thing number three, your environment is more important than what's built into your genes from birth. So put yourself in a success environment as often as possible, as much as possible.
And again, probably the best way you can do that is by showing up at the live event and surrounding yourself with people who are like-minded, who are going in the same direction, and who are having a good time. So be specific. Number one, again, set yourself a crystal clear goal. And be around like-minded people as much as possible.
I just want you to be more successful than you are. And just ask questions, be around them as much as possible. Thing number four is modeling. Pick somebody that you want to model, and just model that person.
Watch them, move like they move, talk like they talk, watch their products, buy their stuff, get close to them. You want to model them and model what they're doing in their business. And thing number five is focus on giving more than you are getting paid for.
Just focus on doing something more than just making a buck. People can make a buck just selling stuff on eBay. You can make a buck doing that. You can make a dollar selling garbage — I don't want to point out any specific companies, but man, there's so much garbage.
There's like 90% of the stuff being propagated and sold online is just pure crap. Guys, you can make a buck selling junk, and you know the stuff is junk, but you're still going to promote it just because you want to make an extra 30 bucks? Come on. It's better than that. What we've got with Empower, what really attracted me to Empower, is these guys have a vision.
I can look anybody in the eye, and with conviction, I can tell them, without a shadow of a doubt, being 1,000% convinced, that what we're doing with Empower Network is going to change somebody's life if they apply this kind of stuff in their business. Guys, what we have here is something special. What Dave and Dave, what you guys are doing here, is phenomenal. What really blows my mind is we just met for the first time in Austin, which was a couple of months ago or something like that. When I hang out with you guys, what struck me is that you guys don't talk about making money.
You don't talk about how you're going to make an extra 10 million bucks for yourself. That stuff is not in your vocabulary. What you guys talk about, what I pick up from hanging out with you, is you're talking about, hey, how can we help the average dude?
How can we help the average guy? How can we help the little guy become successful? What can I do today? What can we do with the compensation plan? What can we do with the company to help the members become successful, to lift people up?
That's what's important. You don't find that a lot. You don't find a lot of that in this industry. You don't find that a lot in business, period. Most company owners just want to make an extra million.
They just want to make an extra million or two. Dave and Dave, you guys are awesome.
I just want to take this opportunity again to publicly thank you guys. You guys continue to do what you do. This is going to be a billion-dollar-a-year company, man. We're excited. Big things are about to happen with our team and with Empower Network.
You guys are definitely going in the right direction. Keep doing what you guys are doing, and let's change more lives for the better. Guys, thank you for your time. I know I've been rambling here for a little bit, but hopefully you guys got these nuggets. Please apply this.
Test me out on this. Put it to the test. For 30 days, you guys will see your life will never be the same again after 30 days, if you do this consistently every single day for 30 days, the five things I told you about.
Thank you for your attention, Dave. Back to you, bro.
Guys, I love you. This is what we're all about. We're about coming out here for almost four damn hours and just pouring our hearts out, because at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is helping the next person get to the top, because that's the only thing where you can get the payoff that you're really looking for. Guys, I'm going to tell you something.
An extra $100 for a lot of you, you believe, is what it's going to take to get you to where you're okay and happy. But I'm going to tell you something, guys, and this is what I learned, and this is the last thought that I want to leave you with. When I got clean, and when I started to really look at where my life was, I was trying to get everything together for myself, and then when I got into this industry, I was trying to make money for myself. Somebody told me back — and I'll never forget the guy's name, his name's Lewis. He's a little short Puerto Rican guy, broken English.
He looked me in my eyes. He said, Dave, right here, right now, you want to get clean so bad you can taste it, because your life sucks. And you have driven your life down so far in a hole that you can't see the light of day and you don't know how you're going to get out. But there'll be a day that the only thing that keeps you coming back, the only thing that keeps you getting up out of bed every single day, is to help a man who's down in the same spot that you're at right here, right now. I didn't know what that guy was talking about.
I thought he was crazy. I thought he was stupid, because the only thing that I wanted or needed at that time in my life was to just think about — and at that point in my life, to be completely honest with you — not using drugs for one day. But, you know, today Lewis ended up being right. Not only do I stay clean and keep doing what I'm doing when I go back into treatment centers and jails and institutions, lifting people up.
I try to keep people up. Most people scoff at it. Most people don't want anything to do with it. Most people look at them and say, just stay away from me. They avoid making eye contact with these people.
I look at them and I want to lift them up, because I know what it's like to be there. And in this business, the only thing that keeps me coming back on a daily basis is thinking about how I can take the same person who's in the same position that I was when I first got started, and lift them up. And then how that's going to feel, when he goes — whether it's a month later or a year later — and lifts somebody up, and comes back to me and says, man, the feeling that I get from helping somebody else out is unlike anything that I've experienced before. And I'm going to tell you something, the payoff becomes bigger, it becomes better.
What you get out of doing this business becomes much more fulfilling than you ever thought possible. Guys, making your first hundred dollars online, making your first sale, is just the beginning. Transforming people, getting in front of rooms of thousands of people online and telling your story, and helping one person or helping a thousand people — that's where you can be if you just don't quit, and if you apply what we taught inside of this course. So guys, I love you. I'm looking forward to shaking your hand.
I'm looking forward to looking you in the eyes. I'm looking forward to hanging out with you in hangouts and circles and parties at our events. And I'm looking forward to helping you get to the top, so we can hang out together on the beach of the world. Because, guys, I'm going to tell you something.
If you're just getting started, things are going to start happening that are beyond your wildest dreams if you stay in the game. And that, I promise. Guys, Dave Sharp, co-founder of Empower Network, signing off. I love you guys. I'll talk to you soon.
And I'll see you guys on the beach of the world. The organizer has ended the session, and this call will be disconnected. Goodbye.
