Before You Spend a Dollar on Traffic: The Mindset VIP Traffic Secrets Opens With
Your dog is still on your lap, your coffee is still cooling, and you are watching a recording instead of sitting live in the room, and Lawrence opens this workshop by naming exactly that and telling you it does not matter. Turn off the phone anyway. Close the office door anyway. How you do anything, he says, is how you do everything, and if you actually want something out of the next hour, you have to put something into it first.
This welcome is short by design, a hinge between whatever came before it and the two traffic trainers about to take over the room. But it earns its place because it names the actual problem this whole course exists to solve, in plain terms: you cannot build a real business on an audience made of your mom and your dad.
Why can’t you build a real business on your mom and your dad?
Lawrence’s framing is blunt and specific. Everyone starts a home business by messaging the people already closest to them, and everyone runs out of those people within days. There are only so many friends, family members, and coworkers willing to hear about your opportunity before the well runs dry. The people he is about to introduce, John Oaks and Michael, built lists in the tens of thousands doing something almost nobody in this room has learned to do yet: paying for cold traffic from total strangers, on purpose, as a repeatable system rather than a lucky break.
Both trainers had been building inside Empower Network for roughly the same stretch of years before this session, starting with no list and no real understanding of the internet at all. Michael is candid that he came in having lost a business already and barely knowing what social media was for, beyond using it to promote parties for a side hustle. That detail matters. The people about to teach cold, paid traffic did not start as naturals at it.
What mindset has to be in place before you spend a single dollar on traffic?
This is the real substance behind the welcome, and it is where John gets specific fast. The most common mistake he sees is someone with a small amount of money to spend, hoping a handful of ads will produce sales immediately. That hope, he says, is exactly the wrong starting point.
Do not start doing paid marketing until you can fix that mindset because you have to put your business hat on and you have to understand that anytime you’re doing any form of paid marketing, it’s a test. You’re always testing.
The distinction John draws is between treating traffic like a bet and treating it like a long-term system you commit to whether or not the first week produces anything. A campaign that produces nothing is not proof the approach failed. It is one data point in a process you have already decided to run for months, not days.
Why does the whole approach change once you understand the actual funnel?
Before any of the paid strategy gets taught, this session sets up a simple but easy to miss idea: the entire point of traffic is to build a list, not to force an immediate sale. When you focus on leads, the sales eventually follow. When you focus only on the money, you stop actually engaging with the person on the other end of the click, and the whole thing stalls. That single reframe is the piece the welcome exists to plant before the terminology and the funnel math take over.
- Traffic is simply clicks, eyeballs landing on your offer, the same as foot traffic through a storefront door.
- A lead is someone who opts in, someone who handed you their attention on purpose.
- A conversion is whatever specific action, a lead or a sale, you actually asked that person to take.
“Success loves speed, remember that” is how Michael puts it to the room, a line meant to push past the hesitation that keeps people circling terminology forever instead of actually running a first campaign.
What is this welcome actually setting you up for?
What follows this introduction is a full breakdown of sales funnel language, the real percentages a working paid campaign should hit, and a live walkthrough of exactly how a couple thousand clicks turn into leads, then sales, then a recurring result worth protecting. None of it will make sense without the frame Lawrence and the mindset John lays out here first. This opening exists so the numbers that follow land on solid ground instead of another shiny tactic.
The full session goes much further than what is captured here, including the complete terminology breakdown and the live funnel math both trainers walk through afterward. Watch it in full, free, when you Create your free account.

Because how many mom and dads you might have? There's not thousands. They have generated thousands of customers. And that's something you really want to learn.
Tell your spouse, hey, I'll watch TV with you later, or maybe can you just bring me my breakfast or my lunch right into my office so you can watch this? So I'm going to bring out John and Michael, who will be heading our traffic VIP right here. And these guys, these guys rock it. So please give your undivided attention.
Take great notes. You've got the floor. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks, Lawrence.
How are you guys doing? Good, how's everybody at home? Good? Excellent.
VIPs. We're VIPs today. So welcome VIPs to the VIPs. We're going to be covering traffic today, guys.
And more specifically, we'll be covering paid traffic. So real quickly, because this is going in an actual product that people may not even know who we are. So we're going to just explain a little bit about who we are very quickly. And then we're going to dive into what everybody wants to know about.
John, what's the number one question you get, dude? How do I get traffic? So I'm going to let John introduce. He'll introduce himself first, and I'll go after him.
All right, awesome. So my name is John Oaks. I've been with Empower Network now for about five or four years. Sorry, four years, actually, as of the 6th of this month of October.
When I first got started, I knew some things. I was bringing a lot of my two years of previous struggle into this business and really found here a solution to put everything together. But again, I was not a master at driving traffic. And so it was something that I had to learn over time.
And I know, like Michael, I spent probably between us, I'd say close to a half a million dollars just on traffic and experimenting and testing over the last five to six years to get to where we are today to bring this information to you guys. We've both gone from having zero lists when we first got started here to now having lists of, I think mine's like 24,000. He's got how many in your list now? Active list, probably about 32,000.
Awesome, right? And we did that over the course of the four years that we've been with Empower Network. Actually, we got started like the same month, same year. Probably the same month, same year, yeah.
Very similar stories with our rise throughout Empower Network. So really cool stuff. But we're going to bring this stuff to you guys. And I want you to realize that the things that you're getting here, this training, is worth a fortune if you apply it, right?
It's all the money that we've spent in testing and experimenting and failing hard, we're passing on to you guys where you don't have to go through that process. You can just take it straight from what we're doing. We're going to give you today and apply it and go right to getting the results you want. So I'll pass it over to Michael to introduce himself.
Right, yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, same month, we like, we really work together a lot now. We lead a team together. We do all kinds of cool stuff.
And that's the beauty of this business isn't just like you can make a whole bunch of money or you create freedom, but it's also the relationships that you can build, you know? I mean, everybody here was talking last night about how even online about the camaraderie they were seeing with the group, and with a group we can accomplish so many things together, right? So that's what I found here in Empower when I started back then. I was like John said, no list.
I was bankrupt, foreclosed on. I didn't really know what this internet thing was. I kind of like played on MySpace because I had a DJ business as well, so like I could actually go and like promote parties on MySpace, had just really gotten going on Facebook, was figuring that out too. So if you don't know a whole lot about social media and you're just trying to figure this thing out, you're in the right place because we were there, you know?
So just long story short, Dave was showing me the other day or last night, I think I personally, he said, you personally enrolled over 3,000 people. That's, that's, that's, that's stupid. That's just crazy because I hadn't, I did MLM for a little bit, worked real hard at it, and maybe sponsored two people in a month, my best month, and now we can average anywhere from John and I both average anywhere between 8 to 12, I think, a day, upwards of, you know, into the 20s, 20 people in a single day because of what we're about to show you about paid traffic.
Because it's all about going fast. Who wants to go fast? If you like to go fast, if you want to go slow, you know, you can continue to do that, just turn this off. You can make money real slow if you want.
You might not make any though, that's the thing. Success loves speed, remember that. So you want to go ahead and get moving fast. So first thing we want to break down is the mindset of traffic.
I'm going to touch on it briefly. John loves talking about this, because here's the thing, you know, you've learned a lot today or this whole weekend or in these modules about mindset, how mindset is everything. Well, when it comes to paid traffic, there's a mindset you have to have for it. You can't just like come into this thing like treating it like you're going to Vegas and I'm going to put all my money on double zero, you know, and say, spend the thing or whatever it is, the little roulette thing.
I don't really gamble because I lose all my money. So you can't treat it like gambling. This is a long term solution, but you have to think about it that way. So when it comes to spending money on traffic, you have to understand that you may not see a great return in the beginning because the point of traffic, I want you to remember this, no matter what anybody tells you, the whole point of traffic is to build your list, is to get leads.
When you focus on leads, the sales come. When you're only focused on sales and the money, chances are it won't come, because when you're building a list, you're there to culture it. You're there to nurture it. You're there to engage with it.
When you're just thinking about the money, you're not going to engage with anything except yourself and your want for the money. Does that make sense? So you need to really think about this as a long term solution. And there's some other stuff that John's going to dive into because he loves talking about mindset for paid traffic.
Yeah, absolutely. So the most common thing that we hear and we see is people say, you know, hey, I really need to get some sales. So I've got like $300 and I'm going to buy some traffic and I really hope that that works and that I get some sales. And if that's the way you're coming at this, I'm going to tell you, keep your money, do not buy traffic.
Do not start doing paid marketing until you can fix that mindset because you have to put your business hat on and you have to understand that anytime you're doing any form of paid marketing, it's a test. You're always testing. You may get results, you may get zero results, right? And you need to be okay with that because you just keep moving forward and you keep doing it until you hook into the right traffic source and you get the right thing set up behind it.
Now we're going to shortcut all that for you guys. We're going to show you exactly what's working right now and how to make that work very, very quickly. But keep in mind, your mindset still has to be there. So you have to approach it and say, okay, I'm going to start doing paid marketing.
I understand that there's a learning curve, there's a process. I'm committed to it and I'm going to set a budget for the next six months. I'm going to spend this much per week or this much per month for the next six months and really follow this thing through. And that's how you need to approach it.
So if you've got a couple hundred bucks and you're like, I'm going to throw this at some paid traffic and you know, hopefully I'll get some leads and some sales right away. You're not probably ready yet for what we're going to show you guys unless you can change that mindset. Yep. Awesome.
Awesome. So who's, who's ready to hear more? Like, are you guys at home or is it somebody monitoring the chat or they, are they good over there? All right, cool.
So here's what we're gonna do. We're going to break down first off some terminologies that we use in traffic. And sometimes we say things to our team or even, even you guys here, sometimes we'll say something, you'd be like, what does that mean definition please? So we're going to just break down some terminologies real quick and give you a little glossary on just some simple traffic terminology you're going to hear as we go through things.
And then we're going to talk about what types of traffic that we want you to really focus on. And then we're going to break down sales funnels and numbers. Okay. Numbers is what gets us excited.
Just in case you didn't know, we're walking to breakfast today going, obviously, man, we can't. We can't wait to map out the numbers. Little things. Okay.
Anyway. All right, let's go. Uh, give me, you can give me the ones over here. Yeah.
Okay. So first one is traffic. Traffic. Obviously.
Let's, let's define what do we mean when we say traffic, right? Traffic is clicks. Sometimes you hear it referred to as clicks. I'm buying clicks.
I'm buying traffic. It's the same thing when we say that, uh, what that is, is people that are getting exposed to your sales funnel, right? And where you want to of course always send traffic is anybody got the answer to that? Where do you send paid traffic?
Lead capture page. Lead capture page. Exactly. And I like to call it eyeballs to your offer.
Yep. That's it. It's like people coming in your store. So if you run a traditional business or you've worked in a retail restaurant, it's literally people just coming through.
They may not buy anything, but at least they're coming in. So the next one, next one, uh, let's lead. What is a lead? Anybody want to guess?
What's a lead? Yes. Martin. A potential customer, right?
But more importantly, it's someone who opted in or put in their email address. Into your lead capture page and gets on your list, right? Remember, we're building your list. That is your number one asset in this business.
There we go. Potential customer, right? Yep. So lead capture page, right?
Okay. Next one. Conversion. Oh, conversion.
What do we mean when we say conversions? A conversion is somebody who goes through a process and actually does what you want them to do, right? That could be converting a click or a person to a lead. Or it could be converting a lead into a sale.
Either way is a conversion. Yeah. So you'll hear it sometimes say lead conversion, or you'll hear sometimes the word sales conversion. A lot of the time when you hear conversion, a lot of the time, most of the time people are talking about a sale, but they could be either or.
So don't get them. You can always ask somebody to specify. Okay. So conversion, action taker.
Okay. Okay. Next one. Sales funnel.
Now we're getting sexy. Sales funnel is the entire process that you're sending somebody through. Right? So with Empower Network, you guys have the advantage of having a complete sales funnel already built for you.
It already works. Right? Super, super important with pretty much everything else out there. And I can tell you from experience, so can Michael, lots of businesses out there.
You either have to build your own sales funnel or you use theirs that doesn't work. Right? And that's like super typical in the network marketing industry where they say, oh, we've got this great website. You've got your own website portal and you can send people there and they'll just sign up.
They don't. Okay. They don't, they don't understand sales funnels. They are not technically a sales funnel.
It's just a web page where people are going and they get all lost clicking around on different stuff. That's not a sales funnel. That's a very ineffective process. What we have with Empower sends them straight through a capture page, straight to a video straight through, you know, a process that's defined that actually works where we convert people into leads and leads into sales.
Which brings us to, I'm just going to put LCP. LCP. Lead capture page. We've talked about these already and we're generally, so we've got sales funds.
We're going to kind of break down real quick the terminologies of what each, what the components of it are. Okay. And then we're really going to break it down in a minute as well. But LCP obviously is your lead capture page.
Lead capture page is what? People put in there what generally? Email. Email.
Sometimes name. Yeah. Sometimes you'll see name, email, sometimes phone number. Our funnel focuses on the email.
Okay. So this is where this is just capture page. Captures. Captures.
Info page. It's the same thing. Info. Okay.
Next is bridge. Pre. All right. We've got a bridge pre-sale page.
This comes after the lead capture page. Okay. We actually have one in our funnel. Like I said, we'll write the funnel down in a minute.
But the bridge, to keep it simple, this is to warm your person up. This is the prospect. Once they put their email in, their request information, you want something there to warm them up, to get your face in front of them. So.
And it personalizes your funnel, especially if you're using a funnel that's given to you like something like Empower. It gives you the opportunity to get in front of your prospect before they see a sales process kind of drops their guard a little bit. Right? Yep.
Okay. I know what to write for that. Okay. Next one.
VSL. VSL. Video sales letter. That's the actual sales page.
Right? So it's going to be referred to as a sales page, a VSL video sales letter. That's where the person ultimately ends up there. They watch the video.
That's a presentation about the offer specifically, and they have an opportunity to click and buy. Yep. VSL. You know, it took me like four months in this business.
I kept hearing people say VSL. I'm like, what the hell are you talking about? Me too. Me too.
So we understand if you're new and you don't know these terms right out of the gate, it's okay. Right? That's why. I was like, shouldn't it be an SV?
Sales video. But nevermind. Okay. Anyway.
Who makes these up? Yeah. What's the L from? Awesome.
Opt-in rate. You can take that one down. Okay. Opt-in rate is the percentage of people that actually land on your capture page and put in their email address and convert to a lead.
Right? So an opt-in rate is something that's very important. What we see with the company sales funnel with the company's standard capture page is around, I'd say 35 to 45% on average. Okay.
And that's with paid traffic. With free traffic, it can vary a little bit because it depends. Okay. On how targeted those are.
But if you're buying traffic and you're doing paid marketing, you can expect 35 to 45, sometimes even higher. I know Michael and I, we've got stuff that runs through those capture pages that converts at 60% or higher. So it's pretty remarkable. We've yet to be able to find or create a capture page that outperforms the company one.
Yeah. True story. Okay. That's it for terms.
All right. This is your term. Okay. So if you guys…
Go ahead. A microphone. You have a microphone for Lawrence? Yeah.
Okay. All right. All right. All right.
All right. All right. All right. All right.
All right. All right. Lawrence? Any other terms?
He's probably going to give me… List? Okay. Good.
So your list is the list of information of email addresses from the people that have opted in through your capture page. And again, the whole concept here with marketing is to be building your list because it gives you that list of people that you can continue to market to over time, which is where you're going to see the majority of continued conversions over a long period of time. Awesome. All right.
So now we're done with terms. Yeah. So let's talk about… Uh-oh.
One more. One more. CTA. Okay.
CTA. Anybody want to guess at that? Yes. Call to action.
Call to action. Exactly. So that would be what? Example?
Right? So it could be a verbal call to action in a video or it could be a button underneath the video that says, click here to start immediately, or click here for instance, to start immediately. an access yeah right that's called yeah I'll be I'll be talking more about this in the video in the video stuff as well so cool so there's your terms so let's talk about real quick the types of traffic that we want you guys to know about know about we don't want you to know about all of them because you'll just get really confused no I'm just kidding you need to know about all of them but at the same time we only want you to focus on a couple things and there's a very specific reason why we're showing you the stuff we're showing you because you have to start at a certain place before you kind of graduate to some of the stuff that's a lot more difficult done for you there you go keep it simple keep it simple so done for you traffic is anybody have any idea even at home if you guys want to put it in the chat like what do you think done for you traffic is you have any idea like what types of traffic would be done for you traffic he said solo ads yes perfect you any others anything from chat oh gotcha okay okay all right well there's other things there's trap there's like traffic brokers and traffic brokers could be brokering solo at the broker or other types of traffic as well but it makes it easy for you yeah we'll call it solo traffic this is this is also referred to like email traffic so let me just say the whole the whole idea of a solo ad or email traffic or even a traffic broker who creates you who might broker out for a huge list these guys are actually creating you remember the word lists they're creating huge email lists already through their resources that's all they focus on it's building big lists targeted lists so whenever you're going out and you're talking to some of these guys you can ask them I mean ask ask good questions ask questions like where does your traffic come from where can you show me the page where you're getting that stuff because you want to actually know how to talk to those people that makes and make sure they're part of your target market.
It would be kind of crappy if you're tapping into a list that's full of people looking for weight loss when you're trying to show them how to make money. So you want to make sure they're either home business, work from home, make money online type list. Those are the kind of lists you want to find. But here's the thing, we may just give you a couple sources if you have the VIP workshop deal, paid traffic deal.
So anyway, we'll talk about that in a little bit. We're going to make it really easy for you guys. We're making it too easy. All right, so this is the biggie.
We got people, we know guys that can actually deliver tens of thousands of clicks in a single day. And the lists are always being updated. They're always getting new eyeballs on their list, which means new eyeballs to your offer. But you may deal with somebody who's got a smaller list.
We had a question the other day about a guy rejecting a capture page because he said it looks too much like a company page. That was the first thing I was thinking was, time to find a new solo guy. Because that guy's probably got a small list and it's probably already seen this offer a bunch of times. So when you hear things like that, because when you get to the good guys, you get to the guys who really know what they're doing, they provide the email copy.
Generally, they'll be doing the email copy because they know what their list will respond to. They know how to engage their list. So a lot of the time, if you have somebody saying, well, can you provide me copy and things like that, a lot of times it's because, I mean, do you want somebody who doesn't know their list? You could, I mean, you're going to blow it.
You know what I'm saying? And the reason we love done for you traffic, well, I'm going to let you break down the banner type stuff in a second. But the reason we prefer done for you traffic over going brand new, going to Facebook ads or trying to do YouTube PPC or any sort of pay-per-click, cost-per-view, there's so many different, there's so many acronyms out there for these things, but there's so many different ways to do traffic. But why not let the people who know what they're doing, they're going to be able to handle that stuff.
When I owned a restaurant, I didn't like grow the food, go out there and pick the, pick the, pick the avocados. I didn't go butcher the cow. I didn't go, I didn't even pick it up or drive it to the restaurant. There are people that are good at what they do.
I was good at creating a product in a restaurant and selling it. And see, that's what you have to think about when you're doing done for you traffic. You're a business owner. So there's people who are probably right now starting out way better at you.
You're a business owner. You're a business owner. You're a business owner. You're a business owner.
You're a business owner. You're a business owner. You're a business owner stop building a list that you can actually tap into. And so why not use it?
So anyway, and then we have one more thing. So. So another type of, of done for you traffic is banner ad placement traffic or placement ad traffic is what it's called. So let me uh, let me borrow that.
I think us go ahead and finish right, sharp. I think a, a graphic representation would be the easiest way to explain this. So you guys have all spent, times surfing the web when you go to a typical website, you'll often see an ad at the bottom. So if you an ad at the top, and then you have some content, and then you have an ad at the side, maybe a bunch of little ads over here, maybe at the bottom there's another banner ad.
Those of you that have the Empower Network blogs, you have the same kind of thing on your own blogs, right? You've got a banner at the top, you've got banners on the sides. Well, major websites will sell that banner ad space to individuals. Now, you can go and learn that stuff on your own.
I spent two years doing my own banner ad placements where I would actually research, I'd find the right kind of sites that had the right traffic, and then I'd create my own graphic ads, which by the way, there's like 14 different standard sizes of banner ads that go on these sites, and you have to have them at the exact right dimensions. You've gotta create these banners or hire a graphic designer to do it for you. You've gotta test them to make sure they convert because you want people to actually click on them, right?
And most of the time with banner placement ads, you're paying on what we call a CPM basis, which means you're paying per 1,000 people who see it, not when they click on it. So you can go through money really, really fast and not get any results until you know exactly what you're doing. So that's the do-it-yourself model. Why not make it easy on yourself and do done-for-you banner ad placement by going through a broker that already has all the relationships with all these high traffic websites that he's already tested them, he already knows, and he's doing it.
Oops. He already knows which type of ads convert, which kind of things people are gonna click on. He's already optimized it. He's constantly doing that work.
It's a full-time job to manage that. And all you have to do is buy the traffic, tell him how much clicks you want, and give him a link to send the traffic to. That's it. Super simple.
Awesome. So, moral of the story, if you're just getting going, don't focus on things that are just gonna take you a lot of time and effort when we've got, when we've, there are already places where you can go to get traffic. Okay? And like I said, we'll talk, we may talk about some sources, or we won't give them to you right here, but for people who get into VIP, Yep.
The next product will definitely give you guys something. So, what's next, John? Okay. So, let's talk about the sales funnel flow.
Super important. This is where you make your money. It's really simple, but a lot of times, especially new people, don't really understand how it all works. So, the first thing I would tell you is reflect back to how you got involved with this business, right?
You signed up, you, somehow you saw something, either an ad, or you got an email, or you saw somebody post something on Facebook, you clicked on it, it went to a capture page, you put in your email address, and what happened after you put in your email address? Right? You got on somebody's list, your sponsor's list. And what happened from there?
Well, once they go in here, and this is where we're gonna talk about, this is super important. So, Dave's already kind of broken some of this down, as we've gone through the weekend. But, so this is the capture page, they put their little email in, blah, blah, blah. And we talked about, already about like, headlines and things like that.
Here's what I don't want you to worry about right now. Don't worry about doing this yourself. You have this already in your back office, okay? This is the focus right now is just getting traffic.
But we want to explain to you how the flow is, so you know what people are seeing. Because if you don't know what people are seeing, it's kind of hard to communicate with them, right? So, capture page, and the next thing they come to, you have the option in your back office to put a YouTube video and have a bridge video there, okay? So, all the bridge videos, the bridge page is, it's kind of like just a little page right here with a video and a button.
And all this video is you sharing who you are, kind of sharing why you're excited. You could throw some testimonials in there. Different things that's just very short, sweet to the point, just going to open them up for the VSL, okay? Now, here's the thing.
Sorry, my phone keeps ringing. Here's the thing. I like to, I love to tell people to test, to try it out. You know, do, get in there.
I'm gonna talk about videos soon. But here's the thing, this doesn't always help you, okay? Just to be honest. A lot of people think, okay, when I can get a bridge video, it's gonna change my whole funnel.
It's gonna make everything convert. Not always. Depends on your bridge video. Depends on how good you are on your bridge video.
So we definitely want to, this needs to be there at some point, but this doesn't have to be there right out the gates. Especially if you're just getting going, you may not want to fool with that just yet. Just get people. Instead, if you don't put anything in there, it's just gonna bypass people right here.
So just to be clear, by default, your funnel will not have the bridge video turned on. Right. So that's the flow. And then people buy here, and then they go through this upsell process.
Okay? Which is, kind of changed a little bit here. Over the past little bit. So let me go over here and check this real quick.
So we, alright. So this is where we were talking about opt-in rate. So when somebody comes and they put their email in here, you want to know how many people are actually coming through and getting to here or here, depending how you have it set up. I hope that doesn't confuse anybody.
So my funnels, I usually run the bridge. So I'm just gonna talk that way. So what I want to see is as soon as somebody opts in here, we want to know that, like I said, the opt-in percentage of people who are actually going to see this page. Do you have any idea how you can track that?
Does anybody have any idea? No, no, okay. This is super duper important for your traffic. A tracker, like a link tracker?
Okay. Yes, something like that. Can you specifically say like a brand, but I don't know if I should? Oh, I'm gonna share something here in just a minute, so it's fine.
But yes, you want to be able to track this, the percentage of people that actually see this page and actually come over here and see this page. That way you know how many people are actually converting into leads. Yes, you can track your leads in your autoresponder and say, okay, I got 30 leads today. But that doesn't do you any good to write a traffic source, or, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
To see how your capture page is doing, to see how the funnel's converting. So what we need to do is get that. So what we do is there's this little thing called a pixel that you can place through a tracking service that I'm gonna share one with you here in just a minute. And this blew my mind.
When they said pixel, I didn't know what they were talking about. Like, I had some traffic guy tell me, hey, can you place a pixel on this thing? I'm like, what are you talking about? I mean, picture, whatever.
But it's just a little piece of code that goes onto this page, like right here somewhere maybe. It's like a little thing. And it tracks, it hit tracks every time somebody hits it. So I'm gonna show you that in a minute.
But what do we look for here? Generally with done-for-you traffic sources, done-for-you traffic source, paid traffic, okay? We're generally looking for 35, 40, 35 to 40% in opt-in. So that means for every 100 people that come here, you want at least 35 to 40 of them to make it here, to actually opt-in.
So that means for every 100 people, you'd get how many leads? 35 to 40 leads, right? So that's really what we need to keep track of. Because a lot of the time, that's really what, that's the main metric, like I said earlier, that you need to focus on, because you're building your list, okay?
And then this other stuff will work out, okay? So let's- Do you want to show them? Here, take that. Do you want to?
Take that, okay. So let's come over here and look. I use a, I use a service, it's called, you know, I use a, I use a service, it's called, you know, I use a, I use a service, it's called, you know, I use a, I use a service, it's called, you know, I use a, I use a service, it's called TrackMe. We don't really have anything right now, currently in Kalaatu, that can help us with this.
But so, I like this service just because it's simple, okay? It's very simple to use. I know some people like to use ClickMagic, ClickMe, there's all kinds of different things out there. I've run into certain issues with some of them when I run a lot of traffic, because I find, like, I'm not getting all my clicks, but they're all counted here, and this is the cheapest one.
So, so it's, it's got a lot less bells and whistles, but it gets the job done. So, so let's, let's act like I'm going to, let's go back to Empower real quick. This is, this is how, when you've crossed the 15-tab threshold on a daily basis, you're gonna make it in marketing, I promise you, okay? So, good Lord, it's hot up here.
All right, so anyway, so let's go, you got your marketing center, let's go to My Links, and let's actually look at the funnel. Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. What do you like, interlude music? Costa Rica internet.
I know. I try to have stuff in place. So anyway, so you go to My Links, and when it loads, and by the way, if you, if you, if you go to Track Me, and I'll say this for any, for anything, ask your sponsor if they have, like, an affiliate account for Track Me. We like to have downline integrity, meaning, like, if you, if you're sponsored by somebody, you need to ask them before you go buy it, number one, or don't, you know, don't look up, don't ask me for my affiliate link.
All right. All right. All right. All right.
Ask your sponsor. It's just a, just a common courtesy, right? Always go keep it, keep it integrity inside your team, and, you know, see if your sponsor, your sponsor doesn't have it, and they're not gonna get it, then you can, you know, get the link wherever you want, or you can go straight to the site. It doesn't pay a big commission, but it is an affiliate program, so we like to make sure we mention that.
Yep. So here we go. Here's your funnel, capture page, pre-sale page, bridge page, same thing, sales page, and then don't worry about this dollar page, because it's not active right now. So then we got this capture page here, and, you know, so what I wanna do is, if I'm gonna track and track me, and I wanna do conversions, so I'll come over here, I'll get this link, copy, really quickly.
How much time do I have? Okay, I gotta hurry. So I'll add tracker, and then all I've ever used in this thing is one thing, it's crazy. I just use, I track, it hits to a link, next step.
So tracker name, Momentum Fun. All right. All right, and then I'll paste my link there. The cool thing here that you can do is see this, and add equals, after that you can place a tag for Empower.
That's for the Empower side of things. So whenever you get sign-ups and stuff, you can tell where they come from. So you might wanna put, I'll put Momentum. You might wanna put Solo in the date, if you're running a solo ad.
You might wanna put Banner in the date, if you're running it. So that way you know that that traffic run was that link. Okay? So then you'll go to next step, and now it's already giving me a link, right?
Great. Okay. So I'll go here, and I'll just go ahead and click finished. Now here's what I wanna do.
This is the link, right? So what I wanna do is I wanna go up here to settings, and then when I scroll down here, there's this thing called a conversion image, results tracker conversion image. Place on the thank you page to track conversions. What that means is, is this, you need to place this on whatever page comes after the capture page.
So if you're using a bridge page, you need to go, it needs to go on the bridge page. If you're not using the bridge page, you're just using the VSL, it needs to go on the VSL, and I'll show you exactly where you can do that. So you come over here, you go back to my links page, and you go right here to sales page. All right, and then you go to edit, and, did spin remove it?
Well, normally, there is a place to put your tracker image, but anyway, so the pixel's not there. The place, let me see if it's on the preset. Yeah, it's not there. Well, he's been updating a lot of stuff, so it's not there right now.
But anyway, so generally, there will be a box right here, and it'll say, place your tracking image. You guys have probably seen it. It was there before. So you just literally, you paste what I just copied right there, and it's gonna track.
Okay, it's gonna track every time somebody opts in, and it'll show you. So I can actually give you guys just a quick idea of what it looks like. Let me go find one. Got a lot of links.
Let's see here. Let's go to this one. So see, you can see here, this is today's stats. Nothing's hit that link.
So if I go right here, and I just copy this, and I just wanna check it out. I don't know what it's gonna go to. And this is just gonna show you. This is gonna confirm, guys, that, look, we use the same page, even if we just use a custom one, so we can do a little bit more customization.
So anyway, so look, next. So we'll just put that in. Do, do, do, do, do, do, do. And that's going straight to the VSL.
So then let's go back over here to my Track Me, and you can see there's nothing on there yet. I'll just refresh, and you can see right here. One hit. See how it tracked the hit?
And then normally it would have a conversion right there since I opted in. I'm not sure what's going on with the conversion track page right now, because it was working this morning, so I don't know if it was just like something they're updating right now. Yeah, it could be. Perfect timing, guys.
No, but anyway. So it does work. It does work, and I can actually show you. I'll show you where it works, or was working.
Let's see here. You can see here it works. And you can see right there, 53%. That's over 6,000 clicks.
Still going strong at 54%, and it is this page. So when we tell you that it works, it works, all right? I love it. Sometimes there's some people, the guys that will teach you stuff, but they're not actually showing you what they're doing.
That's what we do. So anyway. Question over here? Microphone.
Could we see what leads to that page? What brought them to that one? If that one's converting a little bit better than others? Something has brought them there that made them really Well, if you're doing the done-for-you traffic, like we're talking about, the traffic broker, the solo ad provider, they actually handle the email and stuff.
We don't ever see what they're doing. So whatever their copy is. They're just sending you a click. Right.
So whatever their copy is that got the attention. Our link goes in their rotator when they send it out. And so we're just getting clicks from them. Yeah.
Got it. Their whole objective is to sell clicks. And if it's banner traffic, then it's whatever that graphic banner was, which usually it's more of a generic business opportunity, make money online type offer. And somebody clicks on it, they go right to your capture page.
That's awesome. Yep. Cool. All right.
We ready to break down some numbers? All right. Let's go numbers, guys. All right.
All right. So this is the part we always love, right? Breaking down the numbers. All right.
Who wants to see this? All right. OK. So I took a couple of seconds and kind of pre-wrote a few things up here while he was talking about that just to save some time.
But we're going to kind of map out in very realistic numbers. We've been doing this a long time. We run a lot of traffic every single month. So we know what the actual numbers are.
We're going to share those with you guys. So we're going to do an example. We're going to do an example using a traffic buy of 2,000 clicks. And what's that going to cost, Michael?
About $1,500. So we're saying like average of $0.75 a click. Now, it can vary, guys. I mean, you're going to see some guys that are going to try to charge you $0.85, $0.95 a click.
And you can see it as low as $0.65 and $0.55. It just really depends, number one, on how much you're buying. And it's quality of traffic. I mean, there are some guys who can charge more because it's.
It's just better traffic. Yeah, and that's a super important thing to talk about is that a lot of times, especially new people, they're tempted to make a judgment about whether they're going to buy traffic or not based on the price of traffic. So they'll be tempted by these offers of super cheap clicks. And when it comes to traffic, guys, you get what you pay for, right?
Most of the time. Do not buy traffic on Fiverr, on AdFly, on any of these. If you see that you can get 100,000 clicks for traffic, you're going to be tempted. If you see that you can get 100,000 clicks for $10, you're about to get scammed.
It's not real traffic. It's not real people. It's actually bots. Sometimes people do it anyway because they're like, well, I know it's a scam, but I'm paying $10.
And maybe I'll get like 50 leads and it'd still be worth it. No, it's garbage, right? Unless you want clicks from automatic bots in China or countries you've never heard of, they're not buyers. So it's a waste of money no matter what.
So again, the cost per click is not the important factor in your investment. How much is it making you? So we're going to throw an average cost per click in here that we currently use, $0.75 a click. So you're spending $1,500 on a traffic buy.
That could be a week. That could be a day. It could be a whole month. But we're going to map that out.
So what we normally see is about an average of 40% opt-in rate on the landing page, the lead capture page. So it's a 40%, which means out of 2,000 clicks, we're going to get what? Oops, wrote that in the wrong place. We're going to get 600 leads.
800. Is that right? Are numbers off? No, 600.
OK. 40%. That's right. Anybody got a calculator?
Did I do that right? Yeah. 2,000 clicks? Yeah, 800.
It's 800. 800. Got it. I just didn't update my page.
OK. 800 leads. So out of those 800 leads, this right here, TS Pro, is Total Shortcut Pro. Right?
It's a $7 trial offer when people come in. Now, we also can send people straight to Elite for $1. That's a trial also. But we're just going to map it out, the normal process, the $7 trial here.
So how many people are going to actually buy out of that? Well, we typically see about 3%. OK. And you can get higher than that.
We actually have stuff that converts at 4%, 5%, even 6%. And when I say converting to a sale from leads, it's leads to sale conversion. OK. So the percentage applies to the number of leads, not the total number of clicks.
Just to be clear. So 3%, which is going to be 12. That's right, right? Numbers are still right?
Actually, it's not. We mapped it out. We mapped it out. It'd be 24.
24. So everything's going to kind of… Yeah, it's going to all shift. All right.
So I'll have somebody calculate those. Somebody be standing by with a calculator. See, we were thinking we were going to get ahead of it when we mapped out, and it's not working out how we were going to do it originally. That's what happens when it's like midnight.
All right. So 24 total shortcut trial sales. OK. Mm-hmm.
So out of those, how many of them are going to upgrade to elite? All right. We're actually seeing like 60% or higher, but I'm just going to keep it simple. We're going to say 50%.
Yeah. They say company-wide has been about 45%, 50%. So we're just going to say 50%. So half of those are going to go to elite.
Now we have the momentum. That's the next product they're going to see in the funnel. OK. So the momentum product is the $197 upgrade, the product that we're creating here this weekend.
And we're going to see 30% of those are going to upgrade to momentum. It could actually be higher than that. But again, we're staying on the conservative side. So what's 30% of 800?
No. Oh, sorry. 30% of? 50.
12. 24. No. It's not off there.
It's off the total sales. Oh, yeah. Off the initial sales. Yeah.
30% of 24. That's seven. Seven. OK.
Seven momentum sales. OK. And then we have the next offer, which is a VIP traffic, which is this training you're watching right now is included in that package as well. So.
With the traffic sources. Yes. With the traffic sources. Just saying.
Just saying. 10%. 10% of 24. What?
2.4. We're just going to call it 2. Mm-hmm. It's not there.
Yeah. We haven't talked about this yet. That's coming. OK.
So now I'm going to add some dollar numbers to this. OK. So somebody stand by with that calculator. 24.
And actually, we're not going to even include the $7. OK. Because you get like $5.60 on that $7 trial. We're going to count it once it starts rebilling.
And we're going to. We've calculated this stuff at the Bossmaker Silver level. Because if you're running any kind of traffic, doing any kind of traffic, you're going to get $5.60 on that $7 trial. You're going to get $5.60 on that $7 trial.
You're going to get $5.60 on that $7 trial. I've had to figure those out again because someone told me I was wrong. But we're going to count it. We're going to count it.
Because one thing that's going to happen is when we're doing the $7 trial, we're going to count it once it starts rebilling. We've calculated this stuff at the Bossmaker Silver level because if you're running any kind of traffic, doing any kind of volume whatsoever, you're going to get to Bossmaker Silver very, very quickly. So for Total Shortcut Pro, that is $40 a month that you're building there in a residual income. So what's 40 times 24?
9.60. 9.60. OK. Now, 12 of those upgraded to Elite.
Okay, and that boosts that to $90 per month, and that's going to take half of these, so this is going to actually be 12. 12, yeah. So, it's 12 times 40, 480, perfect, 480, okay. And what did you say this was, 12 times 90, 960?
1080. 1080, okay. Now, the momentum sale, the first one of those pays out 100% on that, right? So, it's 157.60 is what you make on the first one.
Yeah, 157. 157, and then after that, it pays out, or you participate in the 80% commission on that. So, seven, you have one of them at 157, and then you've got six of them that are going to be at? 100.
100 bucks. So, that's what, six, 757. 757. Keep that readable.
You guys like this, playing with numbers? All right, $757. Then, we have VIP traffic. Which, again, the first one, you get the bigger commission.
160. It's 160 bucks, plus $100, and you've got two of those, so you've got 260 total, okay? So, let's add that up. Calculator man, we've got 480, plus 1,080, plus 757, plus 260, 2577, okay?
Okay, so that's one time, right? That's what you're going to get one time, but then keep in mind that this amount and this amount are monthly recurring income, okay? Now, not everybody's going to keep their membership, right? But, for the sake of keeping the math, for the sake of keeping it easy, we're just going to go ahead and assume that they do.
So that's what, 14, 1560? So you've got a recurring income of 1560 per month. The next month, yep. Okay?
Now, there's your ad spend. So we're going to figure out how much profit you actually created. We're going to minus the 1,500 from the first, yeah, from just the first month, right? So what's 2,577 minus 1,500?
That's 1,077? Yeah, well, nine something, 933. 1,077. Oh.
Really? 1,077. Yeah. Okay.
So 1,077 profit. 1,077. Yeah. Plus this every month.
Make sense? Yeah. Okay. So that's how you kind of map out the metrics to that.
Now, this is exciting, right? In and of itself. This is really cool. You see how you can really start to build things up, but who wants to do it faster than that?
Yes. Who wants to do it a lot bigger than that? Yeah. All right.
Michael, you want to take it from there? Yeah. So what you're seeing here in Empower, and it's called We Sell With More Stuff, so the cool thing is especially if you're just watching this because you're just getting this product or whatever. There's something …
Let's see. Oh, oh, oh. All right. So you see these.
You see the income potential there, and results aren't typical. We can't guarantee that this is exactly what's going to happen, but it could happen this way in a perfect world, but you're going to have people fall off all on, but yes. yes one one quick thing I just want to mention before adding the momentum and the VIP in there it would be hard to be really profitable at just that level mm-hmm so this is a huge ad what we're doing this weekend has dramatically boosted everybody's income so I hope everybody sees that those two products are hugely important so if you don't have them be sure that you get those so then after okay so after VIP traveling to draw air like this kind of like a continuation we go right here all right and we actually have other a couple other products that pay very very very very very very very sexy commissions so I'm just gonna talk about the next one in line which is called the six-figure builders club I'm gonna put it I just abbreviate it like that six-figure builders club this this this one right here all right as soon as somebody buys this they buy this they buy this they buy this you they're gonna get pointed right here to the six-figure builders club okay and this on one sale and here's the thing guys it's no extra work you're not doing more work to get people here it's the same people who are gonna be buying this stuff anyways this percentage this percentage this percentage this percentage the system does the sales the system does the sales so with the way we worked out the numbers this would actually get a at least one six-figure builders club sale in the mix so that very first sell the seven hundred and ninety seven dollar commission so now you just took your 1077 profit and you just kicked it up another 800 bucks I mean come on now in with your commission so so so the next step now that we've shown you how to do the traffic we've shown you where to get the traffic if you're at this VIP traffic spot, your next step is to come over here and make sure that you get the Six Figure Builders Club because this is where you start creating lifestyle money.
Because see, this is how you go fast, right? This is how you go fast. It does come in an expense, but this is how you can recoup your money. I mean, you literally over doubled your money.
Like right there, bam, that's true profit mode. And imagine if you could run 2,000 clicks a week, 2,000 clicks a day. I mean, just think about it. And the other thing we didn't talk about is it doesn't stop here because what's the initial, the whole idea about driving traffic is to build your list.
So the conversions don't start here or end here. They continue because your list is growing. We're going to show you how to do more video stuff. You've been learning, storytelling you've been learning about all these ways to engage that list so you're gonna continue to create a big list and get more sales on top of this or in addition to this so this is the power of paid traffic so my encouragement right now is to really get at least here and there there should be a link I don't know if it's up yet or there's a link on the page it's gonna it's gonna take you it's gonna take you through each product if you don't have it yet everybody here should at least be here at momentum so if you don't have the VIP traffic you click that link it should take you to here to get that you go ahead and buy that then you come over here and you get six-figure builders Club because in all honesty the training and everything in these in these products is the next level for you because right now if you're here and you're understanding you're kind of get an idea of what we're teaching you're ready for six-figure builders Club you're ready to take that next step and get in those products that are gonna do this so real real quick point is that you know we we teach our team that you should not really do paid marketing until you're at least up through the six-figure builder level right and if you think about it this way it makes a lot of sense because remember up here we just bought 2,000 clicks and we spent $1,500 right so if you're looking at it going well I'm I'm only at the VIP level and I'm this numbers look good so I'm gonna go ahead and spend 1,500 and start running through this well wouldn't you be better off if instead instead of putting 1,500 here you took 997 of that and bought six-figure builder and then started doing this because if you don't you're gonna lose these sales they're gonna pass up to whoever the next qualified person is above you and when you get those emails that says you just lost a six-figure builder sale that is not fun it's not fun and then obviously there's there's more to come but that's where you need to be yeah it doesn't end there right there's two more products and and that's where it gets even more crazy but again you know you can create lifestyle money right here so right below is the link again just to let everybody know if you click that link it's gonna take you to the next product that you don't currently own so whatever that might be so if you're at momentum and you click the button it's gonna take you to VIP you can buy that then come back to this page click the button again it'll take you to six-figure builder where you can get that all right so we got a few minutes for some Q&A if anybody has any cool preguntas I know it blows your mind I know Okay, Lisbeth says…
I have an opt-in rate of 62% from a capture page to my bridge page but no conversion happened what could I be doing wrong? Try it without the bridge page and remove the bridge page it may be your bridge video that's not converting so I would definitely remove it and see how it does. Christos, what should you do with your unsubscribe leads? Nothing.
Yeah there's there's really nothing you can do. I mean you could what what I like to do and this gets a little advanced for for the people that for the people we're talking to right now but I like to just remove them and you can actually download them into a file and just save them for later like if you have another offer down the road you may want to present to them but I would get them out of your autoresponder could you pay for those contacts and this last one Tracy Luder would like to know if several affiliates purchase ads from the same company what are the chances that those affiliates will get the same ad from the same company?
List of leads okay so we don't buy lists of leads yeah right never buy lists of leads ever ever ever it's it's a complete waste of money what you're buying is traffic you're buying clicks that are going to your capture page so when they opt-in they are your lead they're not anyone else's lead with the technology that we have with claw to cloud or email service that everyone has with the leads unsubscribes don't affect you anymore. So they count as contacts but it's a database and the database shouldn't because if you're if that one lead is on 15 lists they're not counted 15 times mm-hmm like on Aweber they're counted 15 times they have to unsubscribe it kind of not I'm not sure clear on it because I'm like when I've gone through it I've had to literally take all my hard bounces and unsubscribe and remove them from there but because it would raise my contacts count really and then you know we're doing I mean because we got people in here dealing with you know thousands two thousands and you know they're not doing a little smaller so they want to try to keep it budget minded well you may as well remove them I mean yeah there's no benefit in keeping your unsubscribe leads in your list yeah yeah yeah but specifically for certain providers they will physically bill you because the theory is they they're keeping your metrics right because if they're unsubscribe then they know they unsubscribe hey yeah but if you remove them that metric is then all yep but I guess the question would be for someone who's new what if someone refused to learn how to keep in track numbers would you tell them to do pay traffic that is a great question you you've got to know your numbers I don't care what business you're in it doesn't I mean any business that's gonna be successful knows their numbers just because you're at home on the computer doesn't doesn't make that any different you know a lot of people think it's kind of like when people get into network marketing they kind of they well you know I can kind of do it when I want to do it and be a weekend warrior no you've got you've got to be in your business every day that doesn't mean it's gonna take you all day or you know tons of hours every day we do have a business that you can leverage and leverage systems like this to do a lot of the selling but you've got to know your numbers and it does once you learn your numbers and you know what to look for it doesn't take long I mean you can literally check your we check our numbers maybe a couple couple times a day and then just yeah and it's just doesn't one we are glancing at them and looking to see make sure everything's still on track that's that's pretty much it yet the other thing I would say to you know about tracking is it let's say hypothetically you buy a thousand clicks from a solo ad and a thousand clicks from the banner source and you get seven sales which one of those sources are you going to continue to buy right you're not tracking you know where the sales came from maybe they came from Facebook stuff you're posting and they even come from the paid traffic and twice in wasted money right so you have to have to track your metrics and it's not that difficult if you're intimidated by that process I assure you that if you do it one time you're gonna lose money.
you're gonna be like oh wow this is really easy right it might take you an hour to set it all up the first time because it's new and you're not really sure what to do but you can re-watch this video as many times as you need to and just follow those steps and you do it once then it's like wow that was really easy now i'm gonna run it from another traffic source i'll just go set up another trap me link put in my pixel and boom you're ready to go yeah and a lot of and there's a lot of stuff that's that's also taught to you in the six-figure builders club about how to you know get those leads how to engage them capture pages all that fun stuff so yep any other questions so i i kind of understand the way pixels work but specifically like if you're using your if you're buying like solo ads or if you're buying clicks right how would you use that in the in the future so because to my understanding the pixel is more to like retarget those well there's two that there's there's different types of pixels that's a retargeting pixel so that that just that literally takes those people you can and it'll retarget it'll get your ip address or whatever it'll keep showing you ads because you visited say a web page or something this is a tracking pixel this is a totally different pixel so you don't you're just pretty much tracking the clicks yeah yeah it fires off that's the term it fires off every time somebody hits that page so and it just shows in the in the tracking in the metrics cool thanks all right anybody else anything from chat this is from angela if you're targeting a specific niche outside of your general make money online are there done for you traffic sources that we can tap into yes great question yes um there there are traffic there are traffic brokers you you really just have to reach out to them and see what kind of lists they have um i mean they're like yeah they build lists for healthy nutrition they build the list for personal development i mean just about anything you can think of insurance yeah you just have to hunt you just really have to like do some research yeah hunt them down so yep all right well it looks like we're gonna finish two minutes early so we good will awesome awesome guys thank you guys for having us oh oh you have a question 30 minutes oh no no we're not going to give you the sources on the video we it'll be it's for those that buy the vip traffic product we'll get a document we'll be providing it um and putting it together into a document so you'll have both the banner ad traffic that we use as well as solo ad traffic source okay yep we're done

Hey guys, how are you guys doing? Awesome, awesome, awesome. So if you have just woken up, your dog is still in your lap, that's cool. But what I need you to do is go ahead and turn off your cell phone. If you're watching this recorded, you know, how you do everything is how you do everything, right?
So if you want to get the most out of this, put the most into it, right? And so we have a really, really cool workshop. It's for our VIP customers. And it's the way you really want to grow your business if you want a paradise lifestyle. Now, we're not like in the basement of a bar trying to, you know, teach you how to build a business.
You know, we'll teach you how we get there. We have two people right now who are already there producing the results you want for your current business. And they're going to show you the insides of their business. So if you really want to take a lot out of it, take good notes, but also dig deep and actually understand: any information you take, and you don't actually apply, it's useless. It's just, you know, it's just information that will be here today and gone tomorrow.
So you are here today, so go ahead and mute your cell phones. Go ahead and close your office door. And I'm going to introduce two awesome traffic trainers. Trainers are our teachers and coaches, and they're going to show you the insides of how you drive traffic. Traffic being, how do I get customers who are not my mom and my dad, right?
So real quickly, because this is going in an actual product that people may not even know who we are, so we're going to just explain a little bit about who we are very quickly. And then we're going to dive into what everybody wants to know about. John, what's the number one question you get, dude?
How do I get traffic? So I'm going to let John introduce himself first, and I'll go after him.
Yeah, same month, we really work together a lot now. We lead a team together.
We do all kinds of cool stuff. And that's the beauty of this business, isn't it? It's not just like you can make a whole bunch of money or you create freedom, but it's also the relationships that you can build, you know? I mean, everybody here was talking last night, even online, about the camaraderie they were seeing with the group, and with a group we can accomplish so many things together, right? So that's what I found here in Empower when I started back then. I was, like John said, no list.
I was bankrupt, foreclosed on. I didn't really know what this internet thing was. I kind of played on MySpace because I had a DJ business as well, so I could actually go and promote parties on MySpace, had just really gotten going on Facebook, was figuring that out too. So if you don't know a whole lot about social media and you're just trying to figure this thing out, you're in the right place because we were there, you know? So just long story short, Dave was showing me the other day, or last night, I think, personally, he said I personally enrolled over 3,000 people.
That's stupid. That's just crazy, because I hadn't — I did MLM for a little bit, worked real hard at it, and maybe sponsored two people in a month, my best month, and now we can average anywhere from — John and I both average anywhere between 8 to 12, I think, a day, upwards of, you know, into the 20s, 20 people in a single day because of what we're about to show you about paid traffic. Because it's all about going fast. Who wants to go fast? If you like to go fast — if you want to go slow, you know, you can continue to do that, just turn this off.
You can't just come into this thing treating it like you're going to Vegas and I'm going to put all my money on double zero, you know, and say, spend the thing, or whatever it is, the little roulette thing. I don't really gamble because I lose all my money.
So you can't treat it like gambling. This is a long term solution, but you have to think about it that way. So when it comes to spending money on traffic, you have to understand that you may not see a great return in the beginning, because the point of traffic — I want you to remember this, no matter what anybody tells you — the whole point of traffic is to build your list, is to get leads.
So I've got like $300 and I'm going to buy some traffic and I really hope that works and that I get some sales. And if that's the way you're coming at this, I'm going to tell you, keep your money, do not buy traffic.
Do not start doing paid marketing until you can fix that mindset, because you have to put your business hat on and you have to understand that anytime you're doing any form of paid marketing, it's a test. You're always testing. You may get results, you may get zero results, right? And you need to be okay with that, because you just keep moving forward and you keep doing it until you hook into the right traffic source and you get the right thing set up behind it.
So if you've got a couple hundred bucks and you're like, I'm going to throw this at some paid traffic and, you know, hopefully I'll get some leads and some sales right away — you're not probably ready yet for what we're going to show you guys unless you can change that mindset. Yep.
Awesome. Awesome. So who's ready to hear more? Like, are you guys at home, or is it somebody monitoring the chat, are they good over there? All right, cool.
So here's what we're gonna do. We're going to break down first off some terminologies that we use in traffic. And sometimes we say things to our team, or even to you guys here, sometimes we'll say something and you'd be like, what does that mean, definition please? So we're going to just break down some terminologies real quick and give you a little glossary on just some simple traffic terminology you're going to hear as we go through things. And then we're going to talk about what types of traffic that we want you to really focus on.
And then we're going to break down sales funnels and numbers. Okay. Numbers is what gets us excited. Just in case you didn't know, we were walking to breakfast today going, obviously, man, we can't wait to map out the numbers.
Little things. Okay. Anyway. All right, let's go.
Yeah. Okay. So first one is traffic. Let's define what do we mean when we say traffic, right? Traffic is clicks.
Sometimes you hear it referred to as clicks. I'm buying clicks, I'm buying traffic. It's the same thing. When we say that, what that is, is people that are getting exposed to your sales funnel, right? And where you want to, of course, always send traffic — anybody got the answer to that? Where do you send paid traffic? Lead capture page.
Exactly. And I like to call it eyeballs to your offer. Yep, that's it. It's like people coming in your store.
So if you run a traditional business or you've worked in a retail restaurant, it's literally people just coming through. They may not buy anything, but at least they're coming in. So the next one — lead. What is a lead? Anybody want to guess?
What's a lead? Yes, Martin. A potential customer, right? But more importantly, it's someone who opted in or put in their email address into your lead capture page and gets on your list, right? Remember, we're building your list. That is your number one asset in this business.
There we go. Potential customer, right? Yep. So lead capture page, right? Okay, next one — conversion.
A lot of the time when you hear conversion, most of the time, people are talking about a sale, but it could be either. So don't get them confused, you can always ask somebody to specify.
Okay, so conversion — action taker. Okay, next one, sales funnel. Now we're getting sexy. Sales funnel is the entire process that you're sending somebody through, right?
So with Empower Network, you guys have the advantage of having a complete sales funnel already built for you. It already works, right? Super, super important, because with pretty much everything else out there — and I can tell you from experience, so can Michael, lots of businesses out there — you either have to build your own sales funnel or you use theirs that doesn't work, right? And that's like super typical in the network marketing industry, where they say, oh, we've got this great website, you've got your own website portal and you can send people there and they'll just sign up. They don't.
Okay, they don't understand sales funnels. It's just a web page where people are going and they get all lost clicking around on different stuff. That's not a sales funnel. That's a very ineffective process. What we have with Empower sends them straight through a capture page, straight to a video, straight through, you know, a process that's defined that actually works, where we convert people into leads and leads into sales.
Which brings us to — I'm just going to put LCP. Lead capture page. We've talked about these already, and we're generally — so we've got sales funnels, we're going to kind of break down real quick the terminologies of what the components of it are. Okay, and then we're really going to break it down in a minute as well. But LCP obviously is your lead capture page.
Lead capture page — people put in there what generally? Email. Sometimes name. Yeah, sometimes you'll see name, email, sometimes phone number. Our funnel focuses on the email.
Okay, so this is where — this is just capture page. Captures info. It's the same thing. Okay, next is bridge/pre. All right, we've got a bridge pre-sale page.
This comes after the lead capture page. Okay, we actually have one in our funnel, like I said, we'll write the funnel down in a minute. But the bridge, to keep it simple, this is to warm your person up. This is the prospect. Once they put their email in, their request information, you want something there to warm them up, to get your face in front of them.
And it personalizes your funnel, especially if you're using a funnel that's given to you like something like Empower. It gives you the opportunity to get in front of your prospect before they see a sales process, kind of drops their guard a little bit, right? Yep, okay. Next one, VSL. Video sales letter.
That's the actual sales page, right? So it's going to be referred to as a sales page, a VSL, video sales letter. That's where the person ultimately ends up — they watch the video, that's a presentation about the offer specifically, and they have an opportunity to click and buy.
Yep, VSL. You know, it took me like four months in this business — I kept hearing people say VSL, I'm like, what the hell are you talking about? Me too, me too. So we understand if you're new and you don't know these terms right out of the gate, it's okay, right? That's why.
I was like, shouldn't it be an SVL, sales video? But nevermind. Okay, anyway. Who makes these up? Yeah, what's the L from?
Awesome. Opt-in rate. You can take that one down. Okay, opt-in rate is the percentage of people that actually land on your capture page and put in their email address and convert to a lead, right? So an opt-in rate is something that's very important.
What we see with the company sales funnel, with the company's standard capture page, is around, I'd say, 35 to 45% on average. And that's with paid traffic. With free traffic, it can vary a little bit, because it depends on how targeted those are.
Yeah, true story. Okay, that's it for terms. All right, this is your term.
Okay, so if you guys — go ahead, a microphone. You have a microphone for Lawrence? Yeah, okay, all right.
Lawrence? Any other terms? List? Okay, good.
So your list is the list of information — email addresses from the people that have opted in through your capture page. And again, the whole concept here with marketing is to be building your list, because it gives you that list of people that you can continue to market to over time, which is where you're going to see the majority of continued conversions over a long period of time. Awesome, all right.
So now we're done with terms. Yeah, so let's talk about — oh, one more. One more, CTA. Okay, CTA. Anybody want to guess at that?
Yes, call to action. Exactly. So that would be what, example? Right, so it could be a verbal call to action in a video, or it could be a button underneath the video that says, click here to start immediately.
Right, that's called — yeah, I'll be talking more about this in the video stuff as well. So cool, so there's your terms. So let's talk about real quick the types of traffic that we want you guys to know about.
We don't want you to know about all of them — because you'll just get really confused. No, I'm just kidding, you need to know about all of them, but at the same time we only want you to focus on a couple things. And there's a very specific reason why we're showing you the stuff we're showing you, because you have to start at a certain place before you kind of graduate to some of the stuff that's a lot more difficult. Done for you, there you go. Keep it simple, keep it simple.
So done for you traffic — anybody have any idea, even at home, if you guys want to put it in the chat, like what do you think done for you traffic is, you have any idea, like what types of traffic would be done for you traffic? He said solo ads, yes, perfect. Any others, anything from chat? Oh, gotcha, okay, all right, well there's other things, there's traffic brokers, and traffic brokers could be brokering solo ad — the broker, or other types of traffic as well, but it makes it easy for you.
Yeah, we'll call it solo traffic. This is also referred to like email traffic. So let me just say, the whole idea of a solo ad or email traffic, or even a traffic broker who brokers out for a huge list — these guys are actually creating, remember the word lists, they're creating huge email lists already through their resources. That's all they focus on, it's building big lists, targeted lists. So whenever you're going out and you're talking to some of these guys, you can ask them — ask good questions, ask questions like, where does your traffic come from, where can you show me the page where you're getting that stuff — because you want to actually know how to talk to those people, and make sure they're part of your target market.
We got people — we know guys that can actually deliver tens of thousands of clicks in a single day. And the lists are always being updated. They're always getting new eyeballs on their list, which means new eyeballs to your offer.
But you may deal with somebody who's got a smaller list. We had a question the other day about a guy rejecting a capture page because he said it looks too much like a company page. The first thing I was thinking was, time to find a new solo guy. Because that guy's probably got a small list and it's probably already seen this offer a bunch of times. So when you hear things like that — because when you get to the good guys, you get to the guys who really know what they're doing, they provide the email copy.
Generally, they'll be doing the email copy because they know what their list will respond to. They know how to engage their list. So a lot of the time, if you have somebody saying, well, can you provide me copy and things like that — a lot of times it's because, I mean, do you want somebody who doesn't know their list? You're going to blow it, you know what I'm saying?
And the reason we love done for you traffic — well, I'm going to let you break down the banner type stuff in a second. But the reason we prefer done for you traffic over going brand new, going to Facebook ads or trying to do YouTube PPC or any sort of pay-per-click, cost-per-view — there's so many different acronyms out there for these things, but there's so many different ways to do traffic. But why not let the people who know what they're doing handle that stuff. When I owned a restaurant, I didn't grow the food, go out there and pick the avocados. I didn't butcher the cow.
I didn't even pick it up or drive it to the restaurant. There are people that are good at what they do. I was good at creating a product in a restaurant and selling it. And that's what you have to think about when you're doing done for you traffic. You're a business owner.
So there's people who are probably right now starting out way better than you at building a list that you can actually tap into. So why not use it?
So anyway, and then we have one more thing. So another type of done for you traffic is banner ad placement traffic, or placement ad traffic, is what it's called. So let me borrow that.
I think a graphic representation would be the easiest way to explain this. So you guys have all spent time surfing the web — when you go to a typical website, you'll often see an ad at the bottom, an ad at the top, and then you have some content, and then you have an ad at the side, maybe a bunch of little ads over here, maybe at the bottom there's another banner ad. Those of you that have the Empower Network blogs, you have the same kind of thing on your own blogs, right? You've got a banner at the top, you've got banners on the sides.
Well, major websites will sell that banner ad space to individuals. Now, you can go and learn that stuff on your own. I spent two years doing my own banner ad placements, where I would actually research, I'd find the right kind of sites that had the right traffic, and then I'd create my own graphic ads, which by the way, there's like 14 different standard sizes of banner ads that go on these sites, and you have to have them at the exact right dimensions. You've got to create these banners or hire a graphic designer to do it for you. You've got to test them to make sure they convert, because you want people to actually click on them, right?
And most of the time with banner placement ads, you're paying on what we call a CPM basis, which means you're paying per 1,000 people who see it, not when they click on it. So you can go through money really, really fast and not get any results until you know exactly what you're doing. So that's the do-it-yourself model. Why not make it easy on yourself and do done-for-you banner ad placement by going through a broker that already has all the relationships with all these high traffic websites, that he's already tested, he already knows, and he's doing it.
He already knows which type of ads convert, which kind of things people are gonna click on. He's already optimized it. He's constantly doing that work. It's a full-time job to manage that. And all you have to do is buy the traffic, tell him how much clicks you want, and give him a link to send the traffic to.
That's it, super simple. Awesome. So, moral of the story: if you're just getting going, don't focus on things that are just gonna take you a lot of time and effort when there are already places where you can go to get traffic. Okay?
And like I said, we may talk about some sources, or we won't give them to you right here, but for people who get into VIP — the next product will definitely give you guys something. So, what's next, John? Okay, so let's talk about the sales funnel flow.
Super important. This is where you make your money. It's really simple, but a lot of times, especially new people, don't really understand how it all works. So, the first thing I would tell you is reflect back to how you got involved with this business, right? You signed up — somehow you saw something, either an ad, or you got an email, or you saw somebody post something on Facebook, you clicked on it, it went to a capture page, you put in your email address, and what happened after you put in your email address?
Right, you got on somebody's list, your sponsor's list. And what happened from there? Well, once they go in here, and this is where we're gonna talk about — this is super important. So, Dave's already kind of broken some of this down, as we've gone through the weekend.
So this is the capture page, they put their little email in, blah, blah, blah. And we talked about headlines and things like that already. Here's what I don't want you to worry about right now — don't worry about doing this yourself. You have this already in your back office, okay?
The focus right now is just getting traffic. But we want to explain to you how the flow is, so you know what people are seeing. Because if you don't know what people are seeing, it's kind of hard to communicate with them, right? So, capture page, and the next thing they come to — you have the option in your back office to put a YouTube video and have a bridge video there, okay? So, the bridge page is kind of like just a little page right here with a video and a button.
And all this video is you sharing who you are, kind of sharing why you're excited. You could throw some testimonials in there. Different things, very short, sweet, to the point, just going to open them up for the VSL, okay? Now, here's the thing. Sorry, my phone keeps ringing.
Here's the thing. I love to tell people to test it, to try it out. Get in there. I'm gonna talk about videos soon. But here's the thing, this doesn't always help you, okay?
Just to be honest. A lot of people think, okay, when I get a bridge video, it's gonna change my whole funnel, it's gonna make everything convert. Not always. Depends on your bridge video.
Depends on how good you are on your bridge video. So we definitely want this to be there at some point, but this doesn't have to be there right out the gate. Especially if you're just getting going, you may not want to fool with that just yet. Just get people — instead, if you don't put anything in there, it's just gonna bypass people right here.
So just to be clear, by default, your funnel will not have the bridge video turned on. Right. So that's the flow. And then people buy here, and then they go through this upsell process. Okay?
Which has kind of changed a little bit here over the past little bit. So let me go over here and check this real quick. So, alright, this is where we were talking about opt-in rate.
So when somebody comes and they put their email in here, you want to know how many people are actually coming through and getting to here, or here, depending how you have it set up. I hope that doesn't confuse anybody. So my funnels, I usually run the bridge, so I'm just gonna talk that way. So what I want to see is, as soon as somebody opts in here, we want to know that, like I said, the opt-in percentage of people who are actually going to see this page.
Do you have any idea how you can track that? Does anybody have any idea? No, okay. This is super duper important for your traffic. A tracker, like a link tracker?
Okay, yes, something like that. Can you specifically say like a brand, but I don't know if I should? Oh, I'm gonna share something here in just a minute, so it's fine. But yes, you want to be able to track the percentage of people that actually see this page and actually come over here and see this page.
That way you know how many people are actually converting into leads. Yes, you can track your leads in your autoresponder and say, okay, I got 30 leads today. But that doesn't do you any good — you don't know your traffic source, you don't know how your capture page is doing, how the funnel's converting. So what we need to do is get that.
So what we do is there's this little thing called a pixel that you can place through a tracking service that I'm gonna share with you here in just a minute. And this blew my mind. When they said pixel, I didn't know what they were talking about. I had some traffic guy tell me, hey, can you place a pixel on this thing? I'm like, what are you talking about?
I mean, picture, whatever. But it's just a little piece of code that goes onto this page, like right here somewhere maybe. It's like a little thing, and it tracks — it hit-tracks every time somebody hits it. So I'm gonna show you that in a minute.
But what do we look for here? Generally, with done-for-you traffic sources, paid traffic, okay, we're generally looking for 35 to 40% in opt-in. So that means for every 100 people that come here, you want at least 35 to 40 of them to make it here, to actually opt in. So that means for every 100 people, you'd get how many leads?
35 to 40 leads, right? So that's really what we need to keep track of. Because a lot of the time, that's the main metric, like I said earlier, that you need to focus on, because you're building your list, okay? And then this other stuff will work out, okay? So let's — do you want to show them?
Here, take that. Okay. So let's come over here and look. I use a service, it's called TrackMe.
We don't really have anything right now, currently, in Kalatu, that can help us with this. But I like this service just because it's simple, okay, it's very simple to use. I know some people like to use ClickMagick, there's all kinds of different things out there. I've run into certain issues with some of them when I run a lot of traffic, because I find, like, I'm not getting all my clicks, but they're all counted here, and this is the cheapest one.
So it's got a lot less bells and whistles, but it gets the job done. So let's act like — let's go back to Empower real quick. This is — when you've crossed the 15-tab threshold on a daily basis, you're gonna make it in marketing, I promise you, okay? So, good Lord, it's hot up here. All right, so anyway, so you got your marketing center, let's go to My Links, and let's actually look at the funnel.
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. What do you like, interlude music? Costa Rica internet. I know, I try to have stuff in place.
So anyway, you go to My Links, and when it loads — by the way, if you go to Track Me, I'll say this for anything, ask your sponsor if they have an affiliate account for Track Me. We like to have downline integrity, meaning, if you're sponsored by somebody, you need to ask them before you go buy it, number one, or don't ask me for my affiliate link. All right. Ask your sponsor.
It's just a common courtesy, right? Always keep it, keep integrity inside your team, and see if your sponsor doesn't have it, and they're not gonna get it, then you can get the link wherever you want, or you can go straight to the site. It doesn't pay a big commission, but it is an affiliate program, so we like to make sure we mention that. Yep, so here we go.
Here's your funnel, capture page, pre-sale page, bridge page — same thing — sales page, and then don't worry about this dollar page, because it's not active right now. So then we got this capture page here, and, you know, so what I wanna do is, if I'm gonna track in Track Me, and I wanna do conversions, so I'll come over here, I'll get this link, copy, really quickly. How much time do I have? Okay, I gotta hurry. So I'll add tracker, and then all I've ever used in this thing is one thing, it's crazy.
I just use — it hits to a link, next step. So tracker name, Momentum Fun. All right, and then I'll paste my link there. The cool thing here that you can do is, see this, and add equals — after that you can place a tag for Empower.
That's for the Empower side of things. So whenever you get sign-ups and stuff, you can tell where they come from. So you might wanna put — I'll put Momentum. You might wanna put Solo and the date, if you're running a solo ad. You might wanna put Banner and the date, if you're running that.
So that way you know that traffic run was that link. Okay? So then you'll go to next step, and now it's already giving me a link, right? Great, okay.
What that means is, you need to place this on whatever page comes after the capture page. So if you're using a bridge page, it needs to go on the bridge page. If you're not using the bridge page, you're just using the VSL, it needs to go on the VSL, and I'll show you exactly where you can do that. So you come over here, you go back to my links page, and you go right here to sales page. All right, and then you go to edit, and — did it get removed?
Well, normally, there is a place to put your tracker image, but anyway, the pixel's not there. Let me see if it's on the preset. Yeah, it's not there. Well, he's been updating a lot of stuff, so it's not there right now. But anyway, generally, there will be a box right here, and it'll say, place your tracking image.
You guys have probably seen it, it was there before. So you just literally paste what I just copied right there, and it's gonna track. Okay, it's gonna track every time somebody opts in, and it'll show you. So I can actually give you guys just a quick idea of what it looks like.
Let me go find one. Got a lot of links. Let's go to this one. So see, this is today's stats.
Nothing's hit that link. So if I go right here, and I just copy this, and I just wanna check it out. I don't know what it's gonna go to. This is gonna confirm, guys, that look, we use the same page, even if we just use a custom one, so we can do a little bit more customization.
I'm not sure what's going on with the conversion track page right now, because it was working this morning, so I don't know if it was just something they're updating right now.
Yeah, it could be. Perfect timing, guys. No, but anyway, so it does work. I can actually show you where it works, or was working. Let's see here.
You can see here it works. And you can see right there, 53%, that's over 6,000 clicks.
If that one's converting a little bit better than others — something has brought them there that made them really — well, if you're doing the done-for-you traffic, like we're talking about, the traffic broker, the solo ad provider, they actually handle the email and stuff. We don't ever see what they're doing, so whatever their copy is, they're just sending you a click.
Right, so whatever their copy is that got the attention — our link goes in their rotator when they send it out, and so we're just getting clicks from them. Yeah.
Got it. Their whole objective is to sell clicks. And if it's banner traffic, then it's whatever that graphic banner was, which usually is more of a generic business opportunity, make money online type offer. And somebody clicks on it, they go right to your capture page. That's awesome.
Yep. Cool. All right. We ready to break down some numbers? All right.
Let's go numbers, guys. All right. So this is the part we always love, right? Breaking down the numbers.
All right. Who wants to see this? All right, okay. So I took a couple of seconds and kind of pre-wrote a few things up here while he was talking about that, just to save some time.
But we're going to kind of map out, in very realistic numbers — we've been doing this a long time, we run a lot of traffic every single month, so we know what the actual numbers are. We're going to share those with you guys.
So we're going to do an example. We're going to do an example using a traffic buy of 2,000 clicks. And what's that going to cost, Michael? About $1,500. So we're saying an average of $0.75 a click.
Now, it can vary, guys. I mean, you're going to see some guys that are going to try to charge you $0.85, $0.95 a click. And you can see it as low as $0.65 and $0.55. It just really depends, number one, on how much you're buying. And it's the quality of traffic.
I mean, there are some guys who can charge more because it's just better traffic. Yeah, and that's a super important thing to talk about — a lot of times, especially new people, they're tempted to make a judgment about whether they're going to buy traffic or not based on the price of traffic. So they'll be tempted by these offers of super cheap clicks. And when it comes to traffic, guys, you get what you pay for, right?
Most of the time — do not buy traffic on Fiverr, on AdFly, on any of these. If you see that you can get 100,000 clicks for $10, you're about to get scammed. It's not real traffic.
It's not real people. It's actually bots. Sometimes people do it anyway because they're like, well, I know it's a scam, but I'm paying $10, and maybe I'll get like 50 leads and it'd still be worth it. No, it's garbage, right?
Unless you want clicks from automatic bots in China or countries you've never heard of — they're not buyers. So it's a waste of money no matter what. So again, the cost per click is not the important factor in your investment. How much is it making you? So we're going to throw an average cost per click in here that we currently use, $0.75 a click.
So you're spending $1,500 on a traffic buy. That could be a week, that could be a day, it could be a whole month. But we're going to map that out.
So what we normally see is about an average of 40% opt-in rate on the landing page, the lead capture page. So that's 40%, which means out of 2,000 clicks, we're going to get what? Oops, wrote that in the wrong place. Are numbers off?
No, it's 800. 40% of 2,000 is 800 leads.
Okay, 800 leads. So out of those 800 leads, this right here, TS Pro, is Total Shortcut Pro, right? It's a $7 trial offer when people come in.
Now, we also can send people straight to Elite for $1, that's a trial also. But we're just going to map out the normal process, the $7 trial here. So how many people are going to actually buy out of that? Well, we typically see about 3%.
Okay, and you can get higher than that. We actually have stuff that converts at 4%, 5%, even 6%. And when I say converting to a sale from leads, it's leads-to-sale conversion, okay.
So the percentage applies to the number of leads, not the total number of clicks, just to be clear. So 3% of 800 — we mapped it out, it'd be 24.
So everything's going to kind of shift. All right, so I'll have somebody calculate those.
So 24 total shortcut trial sales. Okay, so out of those, how many of them are going to upgrade to elite? All right, we're actually seeing like 60% or higher, but I'm just going to keep it simple, we're going to say 50%.
They say, company-wide, it's been about 45, 50%. So we're just going to say 50%. So half of those are going to go to elite — that's 12. Now we have the momentum, that's the next product they're going to see in the funnel.
Okay, so the momentum product is the $197 upgrade, the product that we're creating here this weekend. And we're going to see 30% of those are going to upgrade to momentum. It could actually be higher than that, but again, we're staying on the conservative side.
So 30% of the 24 initial sales — that's seven momentum sales. Okay, and then we have the next offer, which is VIP traffic, which is this training you're watching right now, included in that package as well.
With the traffic sources. Yes, with the traffic sources, just saying — 10% of 24, we're just going to call it 2. We haven't talked about this yet, that's coming.
Okay, so now I'm going to add some dollar numbers to this. Okay, 24 — and actually, we're not going to even include the $7, because you get like $5.60 on that $7 trial. We're going to count it once it starts rebilling. We've calculated this stuff at the Bossmaker Silver level, because if you're running any kind of traffic, doing any kind of volume whatsoever, you're going to get to Bossmaker Silver very, very quickly. So what's 40 times 24?
960. Okay. Now, 12 of those upgraded to Elite, so it's 12 times 90, which is 1,080, okay. Now, the momentum sale, the first one of those pays out 100% on that, right?
So it's 157.60 that you make on the first one, and then after that, it pays out — or you participate in the 80% commission on that. So, seven — you have one of them at 157, and then you've got six of them that are going to be at 100 bucks.
So that's, what, six times 100, plus 157 — 757.
Then we have VIP traffic — which, again, the first one, you get the bigger commission, 160 bucks, plus $100, and you've got two of those, so you've got 260 total, okay?
So let's add that up: 480 — wait, 480, plus 1,080, plus 757, plus 260 — 2,577, okay. So that's one time, right? That's what you're going to get one time, but then keep in mind that this amount and this amount are monthly recurring income, okay? Now, not everybody's going to keep their membership, right?
But for the sake of keeping it easy, we're just going to go ahead and assume that they do. So that's — the next month, that recurring amount continues. Okay? Now, there's your ad spend.
So we're going to figure out how much profit you actually created. We're going to minus the $1,500 from just the first month, right? So what's 2,577 minus 1,500?
1,077.
Okay, so $1,077 profit. Plus this every month.
Make sense? Okay, so that's how you kind of map out the metrics to that. Now, this is exciting, right?
In and of itself, this is really cool. You see how you can really start to build things up, but who wants to do it faster than that? Yes. Who wants to do it a lot bigger than that?
Yeah. All right, Michael, you want to take it from there? Yeah. So what you're seeing here in Empower — it's called We Sell With More Stuff. So the cool thing is, especially if you're just watching this because you're just getting this product or whatever — there's something.
Let's see, oh. All right, so you see these — you see the income potential there, and results aren't typical. We can't guarantee that this is exactly what's going to happen, but it could happen this way in a perfect world. You're going to have people fall off, but yes — because see, this is how you go fast, right? This is how you go fast. It does come with an expense, but this is how you can recoup your money.
I mean, you literally over-doubled your money. Like right there, bam, that's true profit mode. And imagine if you could run 2,000 clicks a week, 2,000 clicks a day. I mean, just think about it. And the other thing we didn't talk about is it doesn't stop here, because the whole idea about driving traffic is to build your list.
So the conversions don't start here or end here. They continue because your list is growing. We're going to show you how to do more video stuff. "I have an opt-in rate of 62% from a capture page to my bridge page but no conversion happened — what could I be doing wrong?" Try it without the bridge page — remove the bridge page, it may be your bridge video that's not converting, so I would definitely remove it and see how it does.
Christos, what should you do with your unsubscribe leads? Nothing. Yeah, there's really nothing you can do. I mean, what I like to do — and this gets a little advanced for the people we're talking to right now — but I like to just remove them, and you can actually download them into a file and just save them for later, like if you have another offer down the road you may want to present to them. But I would get them out of your autoresponder. "Could you pay for those contacts?" And this last one, Tracy Luder would like to know: if several affiliates purchase ads from the same company, what are the chances that those affiliates will get the same leads from the same company? Okay, so we don't buy lists of leads — right, never buy lists of leads, ever, it's a complete waste of money. What you're buying is traffic, you're buying clicks that are going to your capture page. So when they opt in, they are your lead, they're not anyone else's lead. With the technology that we have with Kalatu, or the email service that everyone has, the leads' unsubscribes don't affect you anymore.
So they count as contacts, but it's a database, and the database shouldn't — because if that one lead is on 15 lists, they're not counted 15 times, like on Aweber they're counted 15 times, they have to unsubscribe. It's kind of — I'm not sure, I'm not clear on it, because when I've gone through it, I've had to literally take all my hard bounces and unsubscribe and remove them from there, because it would raise my contacts count. And, you know, we've got people in here dealing with thousands, two thousand, and they're not doing a little smaller, so they want to try to keep it budget minded. Well, you may as well remove them, I mean, there's no benefit in keeping your unsubscribe leads in your list. Yeah, but specifically for certain providers, they will physically bill you, because the theory is they're keeping your metrics, right, because if they unsubscribe, then they know they unsubscribed. Yeah, but if you remove them, that metric is gone. Yep. But I guess the question would be, for someone who's new, what if someone refused to learn how to keep track of numbers, would you tell them to do paid traffic? That is a great question. You've got to know your numbers, I don't care what business you're in, it doesn't matter — any business that's going to be successful knows their numbers. Just because you're at home on the computer doesn't make that any different. A lot of people think, when people get into network marketing, they think, well, you know, I can kind of do it when I want to do it and be a weekend warrior. No, you've got to be in your business every day. That doesn't mean it's going to take you all day or tons of hours every day, we do have a business that you can leverage and leverage systems like this to do a lot of the selling, but you've got to know your numbers. And once you learn your numbers and you know what to look for, it doesn't take long. I mean, we check our numbers maybe a couple times a day, and it's just glancing at them and looking to see, make sure everything's still on track, that's pretty much it.
Yet the other thing I would say about tracking is, let's say hypothetically you buy a thousand clicks from a solo ad and a thousand clicks from a banner source, and you get seven sales — which one of those sources are you going to continue to buy? If you're not tracking, you don't know where the sales came from. Maybe they came from Facebook stuff you're posting, and they never even came from the paid traffic, and you've twice wasted money, right? So you have to track your metrics, and it's not that difficult. If you're intimidated by that process, I assure you that if you do it one time, you're gonna lose money and you'll learn quick.
