If you're watching this, it means that you have purchased the Momentum product and on behalf of all of us here, we just want to congratulate you. Hasn't the weekend been amazing? Haven't we had incredible content already? Don't you feel like you already got your value? Yeah.
Amazing content, amazing content throughout the weekend. And now that we have the products, we can go back in and rewatch certain things. I know I will be going back through and watching everything again and just fully digesting what we're doing. So we're setting up a solid day. We want to start off by setting intentions.
So everybody pull out a piece of paper, get your mindset ready, or pull out your phone or whatever you're going to do. And we're going to give you just a minute or two minutes here just to determine what it is that you want to do for today. What do you want from today? If you're at home watching, what do you want from today? We'll see if the ants get me again, like early this morning.
I counted like four by the end of that, yeah, by the top of my head and my glasses and stuff. I don't know where they're coming from, but probably right in here like that. So what is it you want? And of course, if you're at home, make sure you're doing the same thing. We'd like your comments to be posted and Nicole, let me see maybe three good ones, pull them out.
Take about 30 more seconds. All right, I'd like to hear from a couple of you. And we've got a couple of presenters out getting ready for their presentations. So for those of you that are here, I'm going to ask maybe three of you to share what it is that you want from today. We'll hear from a couple people at the live audience, then we'll dive into today's content.
I'll give you a short outline of what's coming up here over the next couple hours. But who would like to share? Jose DiServo, and I'm so excited to be here already this weekend. It's like I don't want it to end. I've gotten like amazing value, direction, clarity.
And today, my intentions for today is building the audience, right, and clarity with that and focus action towards that attainment. So that's my intention for today. Okay, awesome. Round of applause for him, guys. Okay, good.
Who else? Okay. Hi, I'm Martin Andre. My intention for today is really, it's similar to you, Jose, is I really want to know how to leverage my social media a lot better and really how to merge it all together and how to interact, how to interact with them and maybe like see how to like attract them more to a certain area, which would be the funnels, really. Okay, awesome.
Round of applause for him. There we go. One more. Okay, Chanel. Hi, I'm Chanel from Chino, California.
And I guess my intention today is to really get clarity on my video marketing and how to really leverage that to the next level within my business. Okay, awesome. Thank you. Okay, round of applause for her. And then, Nicole, do we have...
What? Nobody at home. Come on, guys. What's that? We'll do one more here.
You're missing out. We want you to be part of the mastermind. Hey, so very similar to these guys and kind of to yours, it's mainly engaging, how to engage with my audience. I think definitely I'm going to go with video. And so just while I'm making those videos and while I'm doing the lives and stuff like that, how to constantly just engage with them.
Okay, awesome. All right. So, Nicole, still no takers? All right. We love you at home.
We love you at home. And we're sending you good love. But set your intentions. Set your intentions. It'll make a big difference in your day.
Yep. We got one. All right. Round of applause for one, right? Yeah.
Woo! Hey there, Alex. His intention is to get laser focused on what I will be doing in the next 30 days. Okay. Alex who?
Alex Bender. Alex Bender. All right. And Alex, if you were not in the VIP sessions this morning, we did a panel with the leadership mastermind where they answered questions about what to do during the next 30 days. So, for any of you that have not yet upgraded to the VIP, now is the time to do that because you're going to want to catch that replay.
That was not on the schedule. And that was something extra that we added to go above and beyond the value that we promised that we'd give you. So, Lawrence. Real quick. Two to three of the people here, their intention was video.
Yeah. Right? Yeah. You are in for a treat because you will get that. But the thing is, I'm going to have to cover a lot of material.
Yeah. So, it's best you get the VIP to get the recordings because you might have to look at it while you do your video. So, it'll make sense when you see it. Yeah. Okay.
Awesome. And so, Tam's going to be doing some video and Michael Martin. Michael Martin is going to be doing... I'm using this. I don't need it here.
Michael Martin is going to be using or is going to be doing a 40-minute segment or 30-40 minute segment on doing video influence as well. So, that is the main topic for today. So, I'm just going to give you a big teaser and then we'll let you see the workshops as they roll out. Today is all about influence. Taking whatever influence you've got and blowing it up.
Right? And that's what we're going to be talking about. So, I'm going to be talking first. I'm going to be talking about what I believe is the beginning of influence which starts inside. If you're a leader, all leadership starts here.
So, I'll be getting to that in a minute. And we're going to be doing a short segment on that. I think we're pulling you up here for a little questioning once I'm ready for it. Right? And then Lawrence is going to be doing a segment on social media.
What's that? Audience building. Audience building. Social media. Audience building.
Influence. Right? Taking your influence in the social media world and taking it from wherever it is and expanding it. And then we're going to be having John Oaks talking about leadership and team buildings. He's going to be talking about how do you take a team and expand that influence.
We're going to be having Michael Martin talking about how to use your video to expand your influence. David Wood is going to be speaking in a couple hours and he's going to be talking about expanding your influence through email. And there's nobody better in the company on email than David Wood. So, we have got some awesome content that is getting ready to come up. We've got more stuff, too.
I think I probably left something out. But we've got just phenomenal content. So, today, make sure that you got your pad of paper and your pen out and you are taking notes because today is going to be an amazing day. And I'm really looking forward to it. So, who's excited to learn more about influence?
All right. And I will say this. In the VIP session, we talked a little bit about what are the income producing activities that you should focus in on if you're new. We had three things, right? If you want to know what those three things are, you're going to need to watch the VIP session.
But, like, it's like the three secrets. So, you're like, what's the secret to building a business? The three secrets were shared in the VIP session this morning. If you have the recordings, you'll be able to get that when they come out. If you don't have the recordings, now would be the time to upgrade.
And with that, let's go ahead and let's dive into our first segment. How much time do I have, Bonnie? Thirty-two minutes? Total? Okay.
Cool. So, what we're going to do now is we're going to go ahead and dive into the beginning of influence. So, all influence starts inside. Think about it as a leader. John Maxwell has an amazing quote.
He says, if you think you're a leader and no one is following, all you're doing is taking a walk. Right? Yeah. And so, yeah, he's laughing. He's just got it, right?
He's like, oh, yeah, wait a minute, right? So, if you actually are a leader, it means you've got people following you. Now, here's the crazy thing, and I really want you to think about this for just a minute. Are you following you? Are you following you?
If you know that you should do something and you're not doing it, why aren't you doing it? That kind of energy will start to seep into everything that you do. And so, here's the little pattern that I see in all sorts of performance-related fields, whether it's sports or whether it's business. Somebody has a list of five things they need to do to grow their business, right, from one level to the next level. They go out, they get the information, they identify what they need to do, and then they don't do it.
We've all been there, right? We've all been there. The little problem there is that you're not following through on your list of five things. The big problem is that you are setting up a pattern for making commitments and breaking commitments to yourself. And that kind of pattern starts to show up in everything you do and everything you are.
And so, if you find yourself consistently saying, oh, I should do that or I should do this or I'm going to do this, you make a bold declaration, I'm going to do this, and then you just peter out and you don't do anything, you're getting in your own way. And the first thing you've got to do is you've got to enroll yourself in your own leadership program, right? And your first leadership program says, I am going to be my own follower, I'm going to do the things that I commit to do, and I'm going to start moving forward. Now, what gets in the way of doing that? Same thing we've been talking about all weekend.
What gets in the way is the way you're thinking and the way you're feeling. So, last night and earlier on yesterday, we spent some time helping you identify those things. I'm going to redraw something up that I drew in response to Lawrence earlier today, or earlier yesterday, and that is what I call Triggers 101. I'm going to give you Triggers 101, Triggers 201. We're going to review the content because this is really key, because this is what happens.
You identify one of those three things that we talked about in the VIP session, right, to expand your influence. Or you learn what Lawrence is teaching you next about building social media influence or somebody else, and you go, wow, I'm going to do that. So, you've identified, let's say that you're going to grow your Facebook to 5,000 followers, right? But then every time you set out to take the action steps on that, you find yourself avoiding it, or you find yourself doing it in a way that you're not getting, you're maybe following the actions, but you're not really getting the result. What's happening is that you've got some kind of program triggered in your own inner mind that you need to pay attention to, program, pattern, paradigm.
Something is running in your conscious or subconscious mind that is going to prevent you from getting what you want. So, we'll say this, this is the computer with Facebook, right, and you are doing anything but, or you find yourself running some kind of avoidance pattern. So, some kind of external task or some kind of external action step is out there looming And you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, feeling afraid, feeling not enough, or whatever it happens to be, right? So, for example, let's talk about videos for just a moment. Who here has ever gotten afraid to put themselves out there on video?
Okay, raise a hand. And what was one of the, let's just take a quick survey of the group here. What did I do with my microphone? Right over here. What was one of the fears that came up as you went to go do this?
Let's just jot these down. Well, let's say for the first ones, you know, what are they going to think? Whoever, let's say people are on my list that know me and my message is new. For instance, you know, what I'm talking about, I've never heard, what I'm, subject matter. So, what are they going to think?
What are they going to think? Okay, cool. That's a good one. Okay, Lawrence? I'm going to look stupid.
Yeah, I'm going to look stupid, right? So, I'm going to look stupid. Anything else? Does that pretty much cover it? We got one more?
Yes. Other people know it better than me, so, like, why am I even trying to teach this? Okay, other people aren't dependent on me? No, they know better than you. Oh, they know better than me, right, yeah.
So, like, yeah, other people know better. So, other people know better than me. Why would anybody listen to me when they could go listen to Lawrence Tam? Why would anybody listen to me when they could listen to Tracy Walker? Why would anybody listen to me when they could listen to anybody else, right?
And so, these kind of thoughts, they then lead down into the somatic mind. They start to show up. For some people, they'll get a big tension in their throat when they're thinking about presenting. If that's ever happened to you, raise your hand. Okay, not everybody.
Some people will get, like, tightness in the chest. Who gets tightness in the chest? Raise your hand. Yeah, we got one in the back. Right, one over here, off camera.
Who gets, like, a sinking pit in the stomach? Okay, yeah, or maybe all of them, right? Anybody, like, vomit, actually, right? Seriously, I'll get clients come in that, like, need to do videos or something like that, and they, like, start vomiting when they start thinking about it. I've worked with people backstage before they go out and speak to, like, 5,000 people, and I've had a couple people actually, like, ring in the toilet bowl, right, you know?
I mean, it gets really bad, and what is causing that? This right here. And so, if you know what to do, and after today, really, between everything that we've covered Friday, Saturday, and today, especially if you've been in the VIP sessions, you know what to do. It's not a mystery anymore. It's like I have got a step-by-step outline of the key things that I need to do to grow my business and to make it work, so now what's stopping you?
The internal event, right? It's the internal event that you're having that shows up first as thoughts and then works its way down into the body and shows up as swirlies in the throat or the chest or the tummy or wherever it happens to be. Does that make sense to everybody? Okay, so let me, this is Triggers 101. Is it Facebook's fault, or is it your video's fault that you're having these feelings?
No, that's stupid. Whose fault is it? Mine, or maybe that's not a good way to think about it. Not my fault, but it's my responsibility at least, right? It's my responsibility to change that.
Here's a good way to self-diagnose. We're not talking like a doctor or a psychologist. We're talking to self-diagnose if you've got some kind of internal event running. If you know what to do, and you have put it on your calendar three times, okay, three times, and you have not done it, you have got an internal event. No, but Will, I got something important happen, right?
No, you had an internal event, and then you found a way to get out of it. You went out of your way to create something to get out of it. Who knows what I'm talking about, right? Who's ever been there? Now, after you've avoided something once, you should already have a red flag up.
But it could be that there's something legitimate that has distracted you from doing what you know you've got to do. If something comes up twice, and you have managed to avoid it, put it off, do a really bad job at it, not get to it somehow, I'm telling you, right there, you're about at 80%. But if you get to three times, you've got a problem, right? And the problem is not out there. It doesn't matter what's happened.
The problem is inside. Inside here, inside here. So this is Triggers 101. Triggers 101 says, it is not my fault necessarily, but it is my responsibility to deal with what's in my head, in my heart, when I start to go into avoidance patterns, when I start to go into sabotage patterns, when I start to go into patterns of any kind of activity that brings up fear or guilt or shame or internal dialogue that says, hey, what are they going to think of me? I'm going to look stupid.
Other people know better, or whatever it happens to be. This is fear of other people, fear of judgment, which is one of the most common human patterns that exist. Deep down inside, most of us are afraid of being voted off the island. You know what I'm talking about? Like the tribe of humanity might vote me off the island if I do a Facebook video.
If I go do Facebook Live, everybody's going to laugh. And that's what we're worried about. Now if you follow these thoughts, if you follow these thoughts to their logical conclusion, go back just for a moment, for those of you that shared, and I want you to follow them. Let's see, who did the, what are they going to think? That was right here?
We're just going to do a little fact finding, and there's no right or wrong here, but I really want you to go there. So go back to the moment when you were avoiding doing what you needed to do because you had this thought come up. Yes. Okay. What would happen?
Let's say that somebody said, that's the stupidest thing ever. And I want you to be honest about it. What was your deepest fear that would happen right there? Yeah, rejection. I think it's like rejection.
Rejection. Yeah. Okay, now just stay with it. Step into the rejection. This will be a little painful for a minute.
You okay with that? I'm going. But this is to teach everybody at home. So you're willing to sacrifice one for the team? Yeah.
Okay. All right. We'll pull you out of it here. Got it. Okay.
So if you're rejected, if people reject you, what were you afraid of then? Okay, so after the rejection? Yeah. So what would, in your worst nightmare, what would happen after you were rejected? Exclusion.
You were excluded. You were barred out of the community, right? You voted off the island. Voted off the island. Okay, so now you're off the island, right?
Maybe on a raft. Yeah, you're on a yellow raft. You're all alone. You're hungry. There's not enough food.
I mean, but seriously, but what would have happened now that you're voted off the island? Well, I mean, yeah, like secluded or like seclusion or maybe that's not the right word, but isolated. Isolated. Yeah, isolated. So now you're isolated and you are alone.
Yeah. Right? Step into that for a minute. You're isolated and alone. What's the worst that's going to happen?
If I have Netflix, not bad. Not bad, right? Yeah. Lots of episodes of Marco Polo or something like that, right? Yeah, or a lot.
Yeah. Yeah. Right. I don't know. No, really, at the worst part, isolated and alone, well, I mean, self-loathing or something.
Yeah, like self-loathing. Yeah. Sometimes you can follow this chain down. You'll find people, and we're not going to go any farther, but you'll find people go, well, I would be all alone, starving in the wilderness, and I would die because no one would love me. Right?
Or something like that. Right? And that is the beginning of, that's the beginning of the chain. Let's do one more. Is that all right?
Let's talk about how this works, because once you understand how it works, you can start to put your fears in different kinds of buckets, and we're going to talk about how to organize your fears, and then we've already done some, we've already given some tools how to deal with those, but we're going to talk a little bit more about that, because the fastest way to expand your influence is to start to take charge of your own mind and your own heart. If you do that, people will notice. They start to notice, like, right away, whoa, his energy shifted. What happened? Right?
And you can do that before you have a following of one, right? Because you've enrolled yourself in your own leadership training program. That make sense? Okay, so who else had a fear? Okay, you had one?
So follow it. Yours, which one was yours? Yours was? Other people know better. Other people know better.
Yes. Okay, so just step into that. So other people now know better, and that means, what about you? I don't know what I'm talking about. I don't know what I'm talking about.
So there you are. Put yourself right there, and let's give the worst case scenario right now, because we're following the negative thinking, right, for a minute, so that we can expose it for what it is. So you are now, you are now in the moment where it's like, you've been found out, right? You've been discovered, okay? What does that mean about you?
You're not... I'm not? I'm not honest. I'm not honest. Okay, so now he has a program, so we've just exposed a program of dishonesty that might be running, but just step into it.
If you were dishonest, worst case scenario, I want you to really step into the negative thinking so you can expose it. What does that mean? You're a liar. I'm a liar. You're a liar.
Yeah, you're a liar. And if you're a liar, what's the worst possible outcome? What happens? Then everybody will tell everybody that guy's a liar. That guy's a liar.
Yeah. Right? So everybody's now like pointing fingers at you, right, and they're like, that guy's a liar, right? Yes. And then what's the worst thing that happens then?
Feel ridiculed and feel, I feel like hiding right there. Yeah. So there's like a feeling of shame. It's like flushing a little bit, right? I apologize.
We'll get you out of it, right? So it's like flushing. It's like a shame type feeling where like, I got to hide. I got to hide, which is the same feeling that comes up or came up when you first started thinking about doing videos. I got to go hide so they don't find me out, so they don't find out I'm a liar, so I don't have to go run and hide.
Now, if you go run and hide, what's the worst possible thing that happens? Expose the thinking. truly, I wouldn't be happy. Yeah, I'd be unhappy, and if I was unhappy? I would be sad.
Yeah, you'd be deeply sad. And then what's the worst thing that happens? Go in depression. Yeah, go into a deep depression, and the worst thing that happens, we're not even going to go there, right? But like, we're ending in death now.
Do you see how this works? Do you see what the mind is doing to you? It's building an elaborate fantasy when your fears come up that are either ending in total isolation, aloneness and rejection, or death. And I'm telling you, you can follow almost any fear and do that. Now, I want to be really clear.
Are there actually fears that will kill you? Yeah, there are. So in your brain, you need to build, like, two fear buckets. There is one fear bucket of things that are going to kill you, they're going to eat you, they're going to destroy you. You don't do things in that bucket.
That's a bad idea. Does that make sense? Raise your hand if that makes sense. Right? Well, I'm afraid of wrestling alligators.
I'm going to go get in there and wrestle me an alligator. That's a dumb idea, right? Unless you know what you're doing, right? There's a few guys that can do that, and the rest of us get eaten alive by the alligator. That's a bad idea, right?
Okay? Then there's a second fear bucket, and that is a fear bucket where the only thing that's really going to happen is you're going to have an internal event. And we've just exposed the internal event for what it is. It's a chain of thinking that leads you to total rejection, isolation, voted off the island, or death, or both, right? Dying alone and rejected.
Has anybody ever had that happen to them? No, right? It's cool. Now, have you ever been made fun of? Yeah, me too.
Have you had anybody get angry at you for something? Yeah, me too. In fact, I can't think of anybody who has done anything significant who hasn't at least had one person upset with them. I've got bad news for you. I've got lots of bad news before I get to the good news.
I've got some really bad news, though. Somebody's going to make fun of you. Somebody already hates your guts. It's true. Well, no, really, think about it.
Are there people that hate me because I'm a white guy, 41 years old, with six kids? Yeah, add in religion. Are there some people that hate me because I'm a 41, white male, six kids, that's Christian? That's going to make some people mad. They're going to hate me before they even get to know me.
So if I am going to expand my influence, and I know I've got to start here, what's the very first thing I've got to do? I've got to step into that and say, some people are going to hate me. Now, I want to make sure they're not hating me because I'm doing something bad, but if they're going to hate me for doing what I believe, like what my mission is, if they are hating me because I am who I am, and I am standing for what I believe is right, let them hate me. Now, some of you just went, I don't want people to hate me, because you've got a program running that says I've got to please everybody. Who did I just hit?
Did I hit anybody? Just a little bit? If you're at home and I just hit you real hard, right in the gut, raise your hand, because I know some of you have programs that say, everyone has to like me, and if they don't, I'm going to die. That might not be where it goes immediately, but that's where it leaves. It's like, everybody's got to love me, or I'm rejected.
If you're rejected, then what? I'm floating alone in a raft on the ocean. And then what? The sharks eat me. I become fish food, right?
There's two buckets. There's fears that will kill you and fears that won't kill you. As long as you are doing things that are honest, ethical, legal, and moral, as long as you are standing for something, people will hate you. But here's the good news. There's going to be a lot more people that like you than hate you, if, if, if you fully step into that role.
Here I am. So here's a question I've got for you. Not for me. Not for any other speaker that comes after me today. I've got a big question for you.
See, I believe that you are built for something specific. You've got a purpose on your life. Maybe you know what it is, maybe you don't know what it is yet. But I promise you, there are people that only you can reach. There are lives that only you can change.
And there are things that only you can do. Nobody else will do it. If you don't do it, ain't going to get done. There will be men and women who suffer because you don't step up. And I'm, I'm being bold here, is that okay?
There are children whose lives will stay bad if you don't step into your mission. Because it is yours to do. And people will hate you when you do it. And you've got to be okay with that. So step into it and own it all the way.
And what I'm calling you to do today is I'm calling you to stand up and to stand right in the center of your mission. Not my mission. Not Dave's mission. Not anybody else's mission. Your mission.
And if we can help you along the way, that's exactly what we're built to do. And I believe that Empower Network is one of the best places to do that. Because we give you the tools and the training to help you go out there and expand your influence. And that's what we're talking about for the rest of the day. So here's the question.
I want, I want a commitment, right? Both of live audience and audience at home. I want to know, will you do it? Yes. Yeah.
Will you do it? Yes. Okay. Post it in the comments. If you're going to, if you're going to live your mission, if you're going to stand up and if you're willing to be rejected and hated, I want you to stand up and post it.
Right? If you're willing to do it here, raise your hand. Yes. Okay. We're all in.
We're all in. That means now what we've got to deal with is we've got to deal with what's going on in the mind. Okay. And so last night I gave you some tools for emotional release. I want to give you triggers 201 here real quick.
This takes like 10 seconds. This is not the whole triggers 201, but this is the beginning of it. So if you're looking for, if you're looking for what is it that I need to, what is it that I need to change next? Look for the things that you've been avoiding. Look for the things that you've been blaming or the people that you've been blaming.
Okay. That's a sore one. Right? You blaming your spouse? Are you blaming your dad?
Are you blaming the company? Who are you blaming? You're blaming the president? Is it Trump's fault? Is it Hillary's fault?
Who are you blaming? Once you find that you have just found this, you've just found the seed that will lead you to the internal event. Do the journaling activity that we did last night. Expose it. Put it out into the light.
Those things can't stand being exposed like that. They'll start to melt just when you start to see them. Maybe not all the way, but that's the beginning of the process, right? So you're looking for blame, regret, resentment, and then you're looking for avoidance patterns. And there's other things, too.
Huge emotional triggers. So again, let's say that this is the triggered event. This is where I have managed to avoid, we'll go one, two, three. I avoided making video once. I avoided making the video twice.
I avoided making the video three times. I got a pattern, and I know that I've got an internal event. Are you with me? If you want to fully unwind this, you've got to deal with the emotions, and I'm going to put them as little swirlies. You've got to deal with the emotions, the thoughts that are here, but you also have to deal with what came right before it and right after it.
So I was triggered by my videos, and I felt intense fear. Okay, deal with the fear. Afterwards, I felt intense guilt and shame for not doing it. Anybody ever been there? Right?
You're terrified of it, you avoid it, and then you feel bad for not doing it. Right? Raise your hand. If you want to fully unwind this pattern, you've not only got to let go of that fear, you've got to let go of the shame and guilt pattern, too. Does that make sense to everybody?
To fully unwind it, you've got to get what comes afterwards. But you've also got to get what comes before it. What came here? There may have been something that showed up before the fear showed up. Does that make sense?
So what is this? This could be a pattern. It might not even be really like a negative thought. It could just be like a patterned way of thinking or a patterned response or a thought about a thought. Okay, I'll give you an example of a thought about a thought.
I was training a client, this was like a couple years ago, I was training a client on relaxation techniques because she got really stirred up, nervous, and things like that. Well what would happen is if she started to relax, she would feel her body, which is normal, and she would notice her heart beating. And that would remind her of what it felt like to be in a panic attack. And then she started to develop a fear about relaxation. You see how that works?
So sometimes there's like a weird thought about the thought or thought about the pattern or belief about the pattern, like maybe the belief over here is something like, nothing I do works, right? And that's like a giant pattern that will affect you in a lot of things. Or I'll never get over this, or I'm permanently damaged, or I don't deserve this, or whatever it happens to be. But just look for it. It's different, real different.
The beginning pattern actually is the place where there's the most variation. But look for that little pre-pattern and notice what's there that's causing you to run the other patterns in your life. You fix that, a lot of times everything else gets fixed. You want to totally get past it all, make sure you get the before, the during, and the after. So this is triggers 101, triggers 201.
Everybody with me? Yes. So what we're going to look at is, I'm going to pull up Martin here for a minute because yesterday what happened, as far as I understand, I've only talked to him for like a minute, is that he got a little triggered during the release that we did. And so I want to find out about it because what we're looking at right now is we're looking at this. And we're looking at what's the composition of this.
Now we're not necessarily going to solve it right now, but I want to point out the pattern because identifying the pattern is half the battle. Once you identify it, now you can start to unwind it. So come join us on the Next Level Mastermind and we'll give you more tools to keep on unwinding it. And if what I did last night worked for you, keep on doing that. If it didn't quite work for you, keep on looking for tools.
I promise you there's one that'll work for you. There's lots of them out there. So come on up, everybody, give him a round of applause. I keep on misplacing the mic. Who's got the mic?
Right here. You got it? Okay, cool. Okay. All right.
So no content. We don't want to know what your negative thoughts are. We don't want to know what your negative emotions are. And Bonnie, tell me how much time I got. You got ten minutes?
Seven. Seven. Okay. I'll do my best. I won't go way over, okay?
So go ahead and tell me, Martin, what exactly happened yesterday? Give us the CliffsNote version. We've got seven minutes. Yeah. Well, if you guys review the incident, so basically yesterday when we were burning our internal, yeah, anyways, we were burning the page, if you see me, I was walking away.
I was angry. And that anger, you know, even after we did the tapping, that anger was still there. Okay. So hang on. I'm going to slow this down for everybody at home.
Okay. So first off, when you identify a pattern, can it get, can the whole pattern get activated? Yeah. If the pattern here, I'm going to look stupid, leads to death, could you start to get afraid just like you're going to die? Could happen if it really gets triggered, right?
So he had an anger pattern. We're not going to go into what it was, but he had an anger pattern. When did the anger pattern start to flare up? Do you remember? Was it when you were journaling?
Yeah. It was when I was journaling. Okay. So I'm going to write it right over here. So he's journaling and let's go zero to 100.
So zero to 100, the anger comes up and how intense did it get just while you were doing the discovery work? Well, I purposely amplified it. Yeah. Okay. So how high did it go?
I wanted it out. You wanted it out? Yeah. So how high did it go? Oh, no, it was 95.
It was up there. With 100 being the highest, he went from zero to 95 over a couple of minutes. Yeah. Okay. After you got done burning, where was it?
Was it still at a 95? Yeah. Or did it go up? Sometimes it'll go up. It simmered, right?
Not simmered. It didn't increase, but it was more permanent now. It was feeling permanent, right? Yeah. Yeah.
Now this is part of his after pattern right here that we're discovering. So he's got it, right? So this is important to identify what's there. So it's simmering. Is it staying at a 95?
So this is like- Yes. Writing, right? Like you came to see me afterwards, you know, to give me the bro hug. Yeah, yeah. You were like, argh!
Yeah, it was still in there. Okay. So you're still at a 95. Yeah. And it's still...
So this is after the burn. And then you went and you did the tapping and... Sorry. I shouldn't write down numbers. Where was it?
I think it came down, like maybe 70. Yeah. So it dropped. Yeah. Okay.
And this is after the tapping. So first off, we've got... This is not a trick question. Did what we do last night work or did it not work? Yes.
It worked? Yes. It worked. It exposed the pattern for what it is. And once it's out to the light, then what happened?
It dropped, but it stayed intense, right? So now he's going home, argh! And he's got that anger in him, right? And it simmered probably a good part of the night. You know, like everybody was partying.
It was cool. I danced. I put the hat on. I put the mask on. Yeah, exactly.
I was putting the Popeye carnival hat on just to hide my face. No, seriously. I had a good time. I felt isolated, right? That thing, like that isolation, I felt it.
Yeah. So this is part of the isolation story that you got built in, right? Yeah. Okay. So here's the first question I got, because we're talking about taking leadership of the mind.
If you have a pattern and it comes up, maybe something else triggers it. See, my goal is to trigger it before life triggers it. I want to get it up and get it out, right? Don't wait for it to show up on your prospects. Don't wait for it to show up on your VSL.
Don't wait for it to show up where it's going to destroy your business. Get it up. Clean it out. Right? So it got activated the other night, and it started to come down mainly with the tapping, although the burning may have helped out too.
It may have loosened it up. We don't know. Yeah, we don't know. May have, may not have worked. He'd have to do that probably five- It helped.
No, definitely the burning helped. It did help a little bit? Yeah. But it was, you know, still- Not much. Still stirring it.
It was still stirring, right? Yeah. So it helped, but it like took the edge off. It was like from a 95 to like a 94.95 or something like that, right? Yes.
It didn't come down much. The tapping brought it down a bunch. Yeah. If you find yourself in this situation, or if you find yourself being triggered by your videos or by your downline or by a certain personality type or anything, what do you do? If you're taking leadership of your own mind, okay?
What do you do? You're asking me? Yeah. You're in the hot seat. Well, yeah.
I mean, I got to work on it. I've got to face it, and that's why I did that. I got to the hotel afterwards, and I was texting with a friend, and I just kept talking about it and just expressing that's how I was feeling. I was actually ticked off that I was ticked off, you know? Which is a thought about a thought.
I'm afraid of my anger, or I'm angry at my anger, or I'm shameful of my anger, right? And so that's a pattern. That's part of the after pattern that pops up, and that's part of the pattern that you got to unwind, right? What if you had compassion for your anger? Yeah.
Really? Or what if you had laughter about your anger? Can you program that, please? You can program. Okay.
Yeah. My job is to teach you how to do it. I'll do it. First part of that is exposing it. Yeah.
But taking leadership of your mind means identifying the pattern and then learning to change the pattern to work in your benefit. Now, can you take positive action before you feel good? Yes. Yes. Absolutely.
He's still here today. He did not go home. It's kind of far, but no. Far, right? He's like, well, I would have, but, you know, the taxi picked me up in the morning, right?
No, but seriously. It's like we have that decision to make. So you have a decision to make. So now here's the question. And this is where I'm putting you on the spot.
Okay. We were going to do this in private, but here we are doing it in front of like a thousand friends, right? So the question that I have for you as a coach, because my job as a coach is not to fix what's in his mind. That's his job. My job is to fix what's in my mind.
I see it. We're almost done. His job is to fix what's in his mind, right? Or to resolve the emotions. My job is to expose it and to help him make sure he's got tools.
And if he really went into a crisis to help him get out of that, right? Yeah. But I know he's a resilient guy too. So you've got some anger left in you and you've got some anger at your anger in you and you've got some sort of pattern that triggers this that I'm not sure what it is yet, right? That's something for you to ferret out.
Yeah. Okay. I'd work on these two parts that you know about first. What do you know that you can already use to let that go? I mean, just what we did yesterday.
How often would you be willing to repeat that in order to get all the way through? I mean as often the day is You know, it's healthy, right? Yeah, I don't want to be spending all my time doing no, but yeah, how many days would you be willing to spend on it? How long am I gonna live? That's right.
Yeah, that's right if a pattern is worth changing you identify it you expose it you bring it into the light and Then you say until it's done And that's it. That's the feedback. I wanted to give you this morning now later on. I maybe we got five minutes Something with you. Okay over lunch break or dinner break or whatever we got, right?
But and if you got triggered at home same thing if your pattern came out, that's yours to resolve now Go find a tool to resolve it We got some more tools in next little mastermind Lots of tools in lifestyle profits Academy to go out and to make those changes now I don't want to I don't want to eat into Tamstein so I'm gonna go ahead and wrap this up, but who got value out of that section right there Okay, who's gonna who's gonna work on their stuff, right?
