Awesome, awesome guys! How's everyone doing? Alright, alright. So, what were we saying? Your mind can only endure what your butt can handle?
Is that what it was? Let's get up real quick, get a 30 second stretch. Let's do the Michael Phelps slap your back move. Slap your back move, slap your back move. If you have a spouse, you can go ahead and massage their back and it's your perfect opportunity to get a massage real quick in.
Massage in. Alright, 10 seconds, 10 seconds, alright. I need full attention, so if you're at home, grab your coffee real quick. Close your door, because I'm going to be hitting a lot of information. So, take notes what you can, because I know if you write down something, you'll actually ingrain in your brain a little bit more, but this is why you want to actually buy the VIP package, which will get this recorded, right?
And I'm trying to give Vanessa, if I get the green light, that they will get these slides from the VIP package. We're going to cover a lot of information, but if you watch this recording, we just did a segment with Will about fears of what would happen if, you know, if you did a video and you looked stupid, right? Well, I'm going to have to give you some bad news. In social media, people will find you, right? So, one part of you might be saying, if I'm bad at media or if I'm bad in video or if I'm bad, you know, in marketing or if I'm a bad network marketer, you know, people are going to think I'm stupid, right?
But the good news is, there's so many people who will find you, right? Like, this works so well. So many people are going to find you. You're just going to have to have a couple of rotten eggs that will just be like, you know, they're going to poo-poo on your parade. That's just what it is, the poop emoji, right?
It's okay, though. But the main issue isn't so much that you're afraid of being judged, you're actually afraid of not being seen. Social media is where you have to be. We are living in the age of the social media boom. Multiple companies going for billions of dollars, right?
And I'm going to go over a couple of them you cannot avoid, especially if you're on a budget. Not so much, I mean, you can do this for free. If you have time, the person with time and with a really focused energy on social media, you can do huge amount of business. Huge amount of business for free and then you start adding the paid marketing to that and it just blows it up. It actually will grow and develop into many different types of creative processes, okay?
So we are not blowing up, we are creating. So let's go with this, okay. So in traffic, if you were in our VIP section, we were talking about paid traffic. We'll be giving our resources in the VIP section, so go ahead and get that. So I'm not going to cover so much of a direct paid so much.
In my last VIP, we had talked about blogging SEO, how you can actually blog without actually writing, kind of a ninja trick that I've been doing. But I'm going to target social media. Now the cool thing about social media is social media, it actually has a paid component, right? So here's a question. Which social network has the most engagement?
Now I'm going to talk about engagement in terms of, if you post something, someone hits like, someone hits follow, someone comments, someone shares, someone messages you, oh that was an awesome video you put up. Engagement, right? Not like getting engaged to your wife or your spouse, but like someone connecting with you because you posted something on social media, even for free, and let's say you had a hundred people that were your friends, fifty of them congratulations. So an example of this, if you just had a baby, and you posted a baby photo, and go, oh welcome Hayley to this world on this date, that post explodes, or it blossoms to a ridiculous amount of housewives and dads who are like, I want a kid. It's a very creative process, but inherently people are like, congrats, congrats, congrats, like, like, like.
Now I'm not saying to piggyback that into a business thing, but people do business with people that they like, that they're familiar with, that are like them. So I'm a dad, I like to do business, and I'm attracted just naturally because, oh that guy's a dad, how does he do his business? And oh, so awesome, he's cool with his kids. Very, very attractive. So engagement.
Through the audience, well I guess there's a sixty seconds, I'll give you guys a head start. Take a guess what it is. Take a guess, and if y'all can have it in the chat, let me know what you think is the highest engagement here live. What is the highest engagement for free? Social media, yes.
Facebook? Instagram? Twitter? Snapchat? YouTube?
Anything else? Which is still awesome, Facebook live. Okay, awesome, awesome, awesome. Anyone else that was different in the chat? Facebook, okay, cool.
Well the answer is, drumroll please, oh this is the actual, what engagement is? It's likes, follows, comments, shares, they direct message you, they click on your links, right? They save, they, like what John was saying, he had a customer who just followed him like for four years, right? We have a personal friend, Jessica's personal friend, who's like, it's like a social media voyeur? What's the best way to, stalker.
Never post a thing, but when you watch her, she's like, what are you on? Always on Facebook, watching other people. Very interesting. So that's engagement, because you got that person's attention, right? So, it actually is Instagram.
Instagram. So, this was taken from January 2016 to June 2016. Average interactions per post, alright, free, per 1,000 followers on a social media. So if you had 1,000 Facebook friends, or 1,000 followers on Instagram, or 1,000 Twitter followers, right? Just 1,000, so in terms of that schematic.
Now, you will notice, all Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are like, they look like they're dead, but it's really because the scale is so big. We're looking at around 50 to 60 percent. Excuse me. Hey Jess, give me my water. Excuse me.
Sorry. Thank you. Okay, so, per 1,000, 50 percent. Now, the reason they say 1,000 is mainly because they need a big enough sample size. Okay, 1,000 over a lot of people.
So they polled this. They actually needed, so, which social network should you focus on? Now, I'm not going to convince you it should be Instagram, but what I will convince you on is, if you're trying to maximize your time, Instagram should be a part of your social media attack plan. It should be part of your social media growth pattern. It should be part of your social media interaction of building that heart style of business, right?
You have to really dig down. In social media, you can't hide. I mean, unless you're one of the guys who don't, you know, you don't use a profile picture, you use like a cat, right? We're not talking about that person. We're talking about the real entrepreneur, shows a video, shows a face, and is like, I'm here, it's raw, you're in my house, I didn't do my makeup, or maybe you're very professional, but still you, okay?
And the main thing is because Facebook actually bought Instagram, right? And did you all know if you post something on Instagram as a photo, and you linked it to your Facebook, you know that actually gets more engagement? Anyone know that in the chat? So instead of actually directly, you knew that? In Instagram, and so if you link it to your Facebook, that photo gets automatically posted into your Facebook profile, your page.
That post almost, not almost, normally will outperform it if you had just posted it on Facebook, right? It's called like native posting, posting within, because sometimes you can use software where you post it in some software, and then it posts into the social network. Normally, it's worse. So we always teach people, post it directly in that network. But in this case, if you post it on Instagram, which is a photo style of marketing channel, you post that right into Instagram, and then it automatically goes into Facebook.
You will notice, do your own testing. I haven't found a case where that's opposite. So you'll get more engagement, more likes, more follows, more people see it. It's a really good tip. The only way you would have known that is by hearing someone tell you to do it, or you did your own testing.
But I'm telling you, it works, okay? So which one should you focus on? Hopefully, I can steer you in the right way, because there are a ton. Now, I wanted to make these a little bit bigger for emphasis purposes. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are probably the three big ones you should probably start looking at.
I would say gravitate towards the one that you like. Like, I know some people love Twitter. I particularly despise it as a marketing channel, right? But if you were in my other VIP session, that's like 90% of the people that I connect with for a very specific project is through Twitter. It blows everything else away, right?
We had a talk, you had a LinkedIn following. That's huge. I don't like LinkedIn so much, right? Every time I get on LinkedIn, a recruiter is like, hey, we have an engineering job for you. I'm like, no, I do not want that, right?
So it varies. So whatever your strengths are, if you already have an established network, and then you jump into your own solo business, solo entrepreneur business of empowered network or network marketing, or maybe you're doing coaching, leverage the platform that makes sense for you. You know, so if you're like 18, you love Snapchat, I get it, right? So Snapchat is huge, it's growing, it's exploding, it's growing. Snapchat, I'm not a big, big fan of it, because there's no direct way to move that audience of engagement to somewhere that you can get them to opt into your list, right?
Now, not to say you can't, there's many different ways to do it, but there's no hard, direct link you can click to go. Now, once they add that, I would instantly make this a huge icon of Snapchat, and that would be the big four. But since it does not do that, I would say it's the big three of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Now, we got Pinterest, that's for all the chicks out there. We have Periscope, y'all laughing.
Dude, it's like 95% women. Ladies. Oh, it is, it is the female population who love Pinterest, and they adore it. So, then we have Periscope. Periscope is a side business of Twitter, they do live things, but now since Instagram just totally just ripped off Snapchat, and now Facebook can also do live features, I don't think there's an actual, real reason to do Periscope, unless you just love the platform.
So, I'm not saying to shoot it down, but I'm saying in terms of if you're brand new, or if you already have established businesses, in terms of presence, that you're trying to build that business, go with the big three. And, you know, there's a ton of different things in there, like Google+, Reddit. So, there's tons, okay? And there's other sub-sections of Facebook that I'll teach you about. But just, just kind of put down either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, I think that'll steer you in the right way.
But if you have a very specific niche, it might be different. Like, if you're a very visual platform, you probably will need to integrate Pinterest, and Instagram as a bigger platform. But Instagram and Facebook are like hand-in-hand. Majority of your business right now, a ton of it will come through mobile. And so, most of your stuff, you'll notice, these are all mobile-friendly platforms.
And so, you should be gravitating your business, if it's a brick and mortar, you want to start moving it to a mobile-friendly platform. These are all on mobile devices native within it, not using a browser. So, all right. So, question. Which social network is 99% needed for success?
So, I'm going to give the live chat room an ability to answer that. I'll give you guys a couple of seconds and see if it coincides with what we have here. 99%. Now, of course, there's always that one percent, that outline, you know, data point that doesn't make sense. But who, I mean, which network do you think you must, if you're a network marketer, Internet marketer, right, the style we do in Empower Network, coaching, what do you think it needs, what network you have to be on?
It has to be one of the main ones. Yes. Facebook. Facebook. Don't say Twitter.
Don't say MySpace. Even my wife doesn't like Pinterest. No. No. Snapchat.
I mean, it could be. In the future, once we get that hard link. All right. So, is it different? YouTube and Facebook.
I like YouTube, but I would like to challenge the person who said YouTube. How many times do you have conversations with people in YouTube? Trolls, right? Okay. Check this out.
Facebook. For the, for the, for the masculine side, we've been learning masculine and feminine and selling energy. So, so for Facebook, it's your grill, it's this, it's face. And if it's for women, it's, it's this. This, this is where you got to be.
You got to be, you got to be right here, right? So, you know, you could do business like this, right? Facebook. So, check this out. Facebook is a must, right?
Of every person I've helped cross $100,000 in earnings in whatever business that they've been in, it's always through Facebook. It's, it's just a common denominator, especially for Empower Network. I've just noticed, it's just, I don't know how to basically tell you, just you must get it, right? It's just, it's free, right? Another reason is we have a huge support group through the Empower Network on Facebook.
So, when you have these silly questions like this, this, this, that were already published in these Facebook groups, it allows your sponsor to continue to build their business and not worry about basic questions that are already answered in the Empower Network support group. When do we go live? When is the next event? Blah, blah, blah. Most of it's answered, number one, Empower support group.
Number two, you're upline team support. So, if you're like in a team, like I don't know who I am, normally your sponsor would probably plug you in to some type of team group and it's usually on Facebook. Some kind of group they have together, an event group that if we all went to a certain event, it's all in one group. Facebook has these group features that are very, very powerful as a way to connect and build those relationships. Number three, prospecting.
Let's say you're at an offline event and someone gives you a business card and does not have a Facebook link on it, you basically put that email and you can search them on Facebook. Like you physically find them on Facebook. I found that 20 to 70% is a big range. The real business owners are almost always on Facebook. The people who are like trying to scam people out of money, they're never on Facebook because they know you can't build multiple Facebook profiles.
So, if you want to hunt someone down and see if they're legit, find them on Facebook, send them a message, right? Just be cordial and this is a good way to establish business. I love Facebook groups. It's a really good way to build that team environment. John will cover a lot of that in the VIP section later on about team building and leadership.
Facebook profile and pages. Can anyone in the group shout out the difference between a profile and a page? What is the main difference that you would think is the difference? Can I have a mic? Sorry.
So, shout out one big difference. Pay to play. So, you can't play on profiles anymore. So, if you're really looking to grow and cultivate a bigger social gathering of your list, of your social media, you have to do pay to play, right? Eventually, you'll just get to that point.
But when you're very, very beginning, profiles start there. And eventually, once you start thinking, okay, I have 200 bucks, I really want to focus on Facebook ads, you have to have a page. And if you heard the tip from Tracy, I'm not going to repeat it, you can watch the recordings, she gave you a huge tip. It is actually not the page that you do the ads through. Very different way to do it.
She had a little small segment in her, in her segment for her workshop. So, Facebook Messenger. I think everyone who uses Facebook is forced to use Facebook Messenger. There's only very few people who use the standard Facebook chat app on a browser. Almost everyone uses the Messenger and there's so many different things on there I would love to cover, but there's just too much.
Just know in Messenger, you can do a lot of business just through direct message on Facebook. Just direct message on Facebook, you can, you can definitely cut through the clutter. And I'm going to show you a couple of things that if we have time, I can talk about it. Now, I made Facebook Live the last one, but really it should probably be the first. Facebook Live, in terms of how Facebook is checking what is important on your news feed, you're going to notice Facebook Live is at the top, right?
They are putting so much emphasis because they want to beat out Meerkat, they want to beat out Periscope, they want to beat out all these live services so that Facebook, they keep the audience in Facebook and the demand now is to be able to live stream. And you can do it on your phone. And now, I mean, if you have good internet, good LTE speeds, you can do it in the park. You can actually film yourself with your kids talking about your garden or if you're a fitness instructor, you put a little mount there and do your push ups. You have your own television channel, right?
Facebook Live is huge. Do not miss out on this. It's a, it is, this feature is actually pretty new. This was before only given to branded celebrity pages. You had to have a page and a celebrity and then they opened up to anyone with a Facebook page, almost, depending on some countries, and then now they open to profiles.
Once they did it to profiles, as a marketer and business owner, you need to slam that. You need to go ahead and dig into that and really cultivate, massage that style of your business into how you cultivate a connection because do you want to make a hundred calls a day or do you want to make one to a targeted audience that says, here's what we're doing today, here's what we're going to do tomorrow, here's where I'm going to help you. You can actually coach right through your Facebook Live, having a conversation. Why? Because it's live.
If someone posts a comment, you can respond right on the spot. And the cool thing is now is when you upload the video, you get comments after the Facebook Live transitions into a Facebook video. So now you get the double dip. First it's a live, now it's a video, and you can communicate with every single person in there. So if you're the type of person who posts something on Facebook and gets like two likes, maybe one comment, you start doing these Facebook Lives and then goes into a Facebook video, it's going to probably 10x what you're doing in terms of engagement.
But just from Facebook Live alone. Alright, so biggest reason for Facebook, Facebook Ads. I mean, the amount of reach, the amount of people you can connect with is huge. And if you're a network marketer, this is like, this is like what you were waiting for back in like the 90s, and you're like, I don't like MySpace, and you know, I've went to my chambers of commerce, only 100 people there. How do I get, how do I get outside?
side of my friends and family, you target your friends and family through ads. Like the avatar we are talking about, the average person, maybe who lives in Alabama or who has kids and maybe works at a dealership, the ads, the amount of possibilities though, the huge amount of people at your fingertips that you can send a message to that did not know who you were, it's insane. It is mind-blowing how quickly you can get your name and your goal, your vision of who you want to support just through Facebook ads, okay guys? So now, Facebook alone will do just fine. Now before I read this, Facebook, there's a free section, there's a paid section.
The free section, if all you had was Facebook, have no ad spend, you got like enough just to cover your monthly subscriptions, you don't have enough money to do ads, and they were talking about in the earlier VIP workshops about, you know, you probably shouldn't do any type of advertising unless you have a certain amount for a certain duration, I'm not going to cover that, that's in the recordings. But what I will say is, if all you did, here's a super tip for you guys who just do not have that budget, if all you did was targeted the people you want to do business with, you like them, you commented on everything that they did, like just be that like super stalker without being creepy, right? And you direct message them just saying, I saw your video last night, fantastic, keep it up. And if all you did that, and you did that to 100 people a day for 90 days straight, do you know how many people would see your Facebook post when you posted something? It would be dramatically bigger than someone who all they did was treated it as a publishing platform to post a photo, post a video, but never engaged with anybody.
But if all you did was like engage with everybody, engaging meaning you liked their stuff, the opposite, not them liking you, attracting engagement, you engaged outward. And if all you did, we have very, very many people, not very, there's a lot of people, all they did that, they have no ad spend, they'll get 300 to 400 likes, a photo with them eating pizza. Because their whole strategy is to just go ahead and talk to every single living human being and then talk to their networks of all they're connected to. Because if one person's a network marketer, there's a very good chance they're connected to other network marketers. If this person's in health, there's a very good chance that their friends are into health.
And all you did was do very positive, because think about it this way, how would it make you feel if you posted something on Facebook and someone just goes, that really put a smile on my face. Thank you, dot, dot, dot. And that's it. Now, you did it once, probably you might get some love, depending. But if you did it just consistently, because you truly believe that they were, like, they're doing a good job, that person eventually will be encoded in a way that Facebook would want you, your information, to show up on their news feed.
See, now the days of, like Netflix, where you can see, like, 15 different shows at one time and you pick one, Facebook, there's only one single column of news. And the most recent or the most popular is at top. And if you want to be that person without pain, you have to physically engage. Now, me personally, when I was working and building my business, and I had kids, and I had a wife to keep happy, that ain't happening, right? But I know it works, so I'm giving you that option.
For the rest of you, who are in actual business, right, we're not here to be marketers full time, we're here to, you know, serve clients and reach the right people, here are three low-cost ways to boost Facebook marketing on a budget, all right, on a budget. Method number one, Facebook Live. Now, here's a couple of specific things you can be doing on this. I actually saw some phenomenal results on this, so run paid ads to your Facebook Live video recording, all right, to your recording. Now, there's a couple of other ways you can do this, like, but I found, got to understand, Facebook already has a preference to Facebook Live, right?
Already has it. And then once it's recorded, it turns into a video, which means you can throw some ads on that. You can actually send your focus to something that Facebook already wants to give to your audience, and you can do it all through that, and so you're basically playing within Facebook's, like, I want this, I'll give you more people. So you'll notice the amount of people that you'll reach will dramatically increase, even on a shoestring budget of, like, two bucks a day, three bucks a day, just kind of test it out, okay? I want you to like, comment, and friend every positive commenter on these Facebook Lives.
So instead of trying to reach a hundred people a day, focus on interacting with every single person who interacts with you first. That gives you a starting point, right? Because normally, you're going to run out of time, because so many people start piling in, and as you start doing more Facebook Lives, just communicating with that, it hard codes you on Facebook that when you post it again, you're preference above everyone else, right? And then remember your face, your profile, right? Because the thing is, Facebook loves video ads.
It is super, super, super cheap, okay? So before I go into the simplest retargeting method, I'm going to explain what this is. What do you all think it costs? So I'm going to ask the, I'm going to poll the chat room, and I'm going to ask you guys here, too, to see if it coincides. So we have been talking about paid traffic, and normally a click, a click, right, we're talking about paid traffic.
If you're lost, go see the recordings. A click will be like 75 cents to $1.50. To get a pair of eyeballs to look at your offer or to something, right? You're basically just trying to direct traffic. You're like a traffic cop.
You're like directing traffic. There's people here. I'm going to get them to see something else. 75 cents to $1.50. What do you think it costs, right, to get someone to see your video?
Now, I'm not saying click off into a link or something like that, but to see your video, what do you think the common costs are to get someone to watch three seconds of your video? Shout it out, or we have a mic. Mic right there. What would it cost? You have a video.
It's five minutes long. After three seconds, what do you think it costs? A few cents, three, four cents. Three, four cents? We got it down to a penny.
A penny. Penny. Who has pennies in their pockets? What? Is that to peg like rodents?
Why would you have a penny? I don't know about you, but if I can pay a penny to get three seconds of someone's time looking at me, right, and I know they have a price, and I know they're paying for the time, but like, if I can pay a penny to get three seconds of someone's time looking at me, right, and I know they have a preference, they have a hobby, they have, they're like, you know, they're trying to work out, right, and I did a video about working out, and they, it's so laser targeted that we're talking pennies per interaction. Pennies. You see people who will get out of their bed, meet someone at a coffee shop to try to close them, but what if you just did really good videos over time and then saw a ton of people, a lot of people just watch your videos, and a percentage of them either direct message you, and if they commented, you're building that rapport at that time. Very, very simple way to do it.
Now, but here in Empower Network, we're about ninja marketing. We're talking about how do I live the four hour work week? How do I maximize, like one of my core things was being efficient, right? If I have something, how do I, how do I make it better? How do I improve on that?
Something called retargeting. Now, most people are like, ah, seems very complicated, what is that? If you've ever been on Amazon, right, you're looking at a pair of shoes, TV, perfume, what do they do afterwards when you leave Facebook, or leave Amazon, and you go to Facebook? How do they, would they like mind readers? How do they know you're looking at those pair of Air Jordans?
Like how do, how do they know that, right? Back in the day, that was like the hardest thing to figure out because all the platforms would come in, Facebook makes it super simple. So, I would say the next step to stretching your budget is to retargeting people using this simple method, right? All right, so method number two, Facebook traffic to engaged audience. Facebook traffic to engaged audience, not just anyone, engaged.
So, we are retargeting, we are basically communicating and getting our message to people who already have shown an interest, have been shown who we are, what we're about, how our business is run, who we're trying to help, right? So, retargeting based on engagement. Not based on where they live, because that was the initial process. It is based on who is already interacting with what we're doing right now. So, you send a targeted Facebook ad, you can start anywhere, but I would say 50% and up.
So, if your video is three minutes long, I would say if they watch over a minute, minute and a half, this is probably someone you know, it might be worth spending another couple pennies, another penny to bring them in, send them another couple pennies to engage with that person again. So, if you're showing a house, right, you have a, you have a Facebook ad that's showing a specific house and you're doing like a walkthrough, and like let's say 5,000 people see it, but only like 2,000 saw over half of it, right? What do you want to do? Spend a couple more pennies to send them another offer, because you know what they saw, right? But you only pay to only talk to people who already have shown interest.
It's the process of taking someone who's cold, someone who's warm, and someone who's red, hot, hot, hot. You get them to see different parts of what you have to offer in a way that you're not having to meet them for coffee, right? You don't meet them for coffee. You meet them on Facebook. So, of course, that wouldn't be sufficient enough to really replace cranking to growing that style of business.
You can grow that business to really, really big heights just by doing a couple of things. Method number three, Facebook page post engagement. These are called PPE ads, PPE. Facebook page post engagements, all right? So, here's what I did.
This one Facebook, it was an ad. I drove 747 link clicks from a Facebook PPE, all right, a PPE. Now, what that means is, I have a post on my Facebook page. Remember, you can't do it on profile. On my page.
And I noticed people seemed to like it. I go, oh, interesting. So, just off the bat, organically for free, people were engaging with a little bit more. I'm going to put $5, $10, $20 into it, just kind of see it and monitor it, right? Monitor it.
And it started just kind of going viral. It reached 33,569 people. So, it wasn't like I was calling them, it wasn't meeting them for coffee. I wouldn't do any of that. So, you can actually then invite these engaged people to like your fan page.
So, this is something John Oakes reminded me that I didn't do because I was lazy. I'm like, oh, you're so right. This is the most gangster thing you should be doing, right? Here's what you should do. Now, this stat, these stats, you cannot see on your profile.
But you'll notice with a page, there were 1,386 people who were like, like, I love it. I think it's awesome. They engaged with it, right? It wasn't like a robot. It's an actual person going, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, guess what I did? But wait, the fourth bonus is this. You follow back with social etiquette. A percentage of those people will follow you back, right? But the people who didn't, you can go to your Facebook page, you can actually open up and see who liked that post and you can manually invite them back to your Facebook page.
So, you're kind of double dipping. You're actually getting a message out and you're building your Facebook likes, your fans with the same ad, right? The goal is to connect with the right people in your niche versus just anyone, passerby, people who's like, kind of whatever, but someone who's engaged, right? Look, so here's a social media mind control trick, right? I comment, like, and follow you, I mind control trick you that you will follow and friend me back.
Now, is it 100%? No. Depends on if you're a Jedi level or if you're like a Padawan, right? It depends on what level of mind control you have. Maybe Will's very high, because you always get a customer all your life.
Think about that, right? Think about that. He's controlled it to a way where he knows who he's talking to and he does it in a way. But think about this. If all you did was know that gravity, if you throw a rock, it's coming back down, right?
If you just straight kick a wall, like my son didn't know this, that he would be kicking his, oh man, that hurts. Like, he didn't realize there's an after effect of that. If you understand the laws of social media, people are dying for connection. And if all you did was, I will comment, like, follow, friend you, a percentage of those people will reciprocate. Now, is that a mind control trick?
No. It's just human nature. Now, I didn't realize this, but when I realized, when I found it, I'm like, what? I don't do this. I don't got no time.
No one got time for that. I don't have time for that. But billions of people do. That's very interesting. As a marketer, you look at these psychology notes that triggers, I like someone.
I like 10 people. Why in the heck would 10 people follow me back? It doesn't make sense, right? It doesn't make sense. You don't have to understand it.
It just works, right? So what you do is, you should go to all your influencers' Facebook pages. Anyone who's big in your niche, anyone who's a big competitor, go to all of them. All of them. And you want to like their page.
Now, the reason is reverse engineering. Why? If they're shooting ads, you get to reverse engineer their stuff. Because a lot of them will shoot ads only to their fans. Because normally, shooting ads to your fans is probably the highest ROI, right, return on investment.
But I'm a competitor. I need to know what ads they're using. So you like all of them. Every single one. Every single one.
Examples. If you're in self-development or in business, Tony Robbins, Simon Sinek, Tim Ferriss, Gary Vaynerchuk, Rami Sethi, Neil Patel, right? So what you do is, once they start shooting you ads, this thing's got like 2,000 shares. Like, you see it. It'll say sponsored post.
It'll say 2,000 shares, whole bunch of comments. You need to be connecting. So a network market should be salivating right now. Oh, these are all people in my space. So what you do is, you build a conversation just like this.
You see these ads. Take a screenshot of it. Engage with the ad. Engage with it. Go into the comments.
Actually go, hey, I like that video, too. What'd you like best about it? It's a really easy way for them to do the targeting and you just kind of dive right in after it. If someone's fishing in one spot and there's a lot of fish there and they're getting fish, you just dive right in there because it's probably the same space. They're already doing the stuff, right?
So you want to save all these ads for future ads because if this is working and they're getting engagement, you should be doing the same type of testing. So what you do is, you open up all the connections and you just start messaging. These are the people. A lot of people are like, who do I contact? You like the Facebook fan page.
Get ads. These are the people you should be connecting with. That's the first base point you should be working on, right? Open conversation. So time to network.
This is what I did. Someone had a post. I go, cool. Open conversation, not spam. I said, saw your share, the walk me easy tutorial creator.
Are you building a step-by-step tutorials for a business project? I'm always looking to increase customer-client processes for my own international internet business. So this ad was for like a checklist software and so I just opened that up. You might get 10 to 20% engagement coming back, but this is like, if you're really short on budget, this is an excellent way to super target in the same audience to who you should be talking to, right? So on a tight budget, you should have a minimum of 20 to 50 open conversations at all times.
Open loops. How was your day today? Leave it. Just leave it, right? You're not trying to sell that person.
It's networking first, right? We're teaching you the marketing to be able to network with the right people. 20 to 50. Now if you have ad spend, I wouldn't even waste my time on this, but if you don't have ad spend, you should literally have 20 to 50 open conversations with people in your niche to do business with. Social media marketing is here to stay.
It helps drive blog traffic, increase conversions, and you can build it daily. So guys, look. It's not rocket science, right? It's just social media. My 11-year-old kid is doing way more just with the tools that are free, right?
You can definitely do it. So what I encourage you today is, depending on where you are in your business, if you want to do paid, if you want to do free, that's fine. Follow these three steps. Three steps, PPEs, using Facebook Live videos, shooting traffic to the recorded video, and also just engaging with that already segmented audience in Facebook. So if you have any questions from Live, my presentation is done, and if you have a recording, just go through it.
I would actually like to share our success that we've had over the last two days. The first day that we came here, we sat and had a conversation with you. You shared with us how to boost a video, a Facebook video. We did it. I spent $2.85.
So far. Did that hurt? No. It's testing. You're a business.
Yes. So far, I do have it running for seven days, I think. Just to see. I can turn it off at any time. But you're monitoring it daily.
Yes. Because a business owner monitors their business, right? Correct. Not like, let me just spend it and go do something else, and go, oh, I just spent 20 grand. Like, don't do that.
Right. So our results, we have seven appointments for next week. So a single tip, like maybe 10 minutes, 20 minutes, at a Live event, I saw what they're doing. So you already know what to do. But here's a couple things to look at.
And here's a way you can take a social media platform that's very cold, to warm them up. And look at that. Look at that. Awesome. Great testimonial.
Awesome. All right. Questions from Live? Questions from the group? High kick to success.
Yes. Question. Here we go. I just want to ask real quick. you said something about running ads to the Live.
So that would be after I do a Live, on my profile, share it to my fan page, and then run ads. No, no, no. You can actually do live videos on your page. OK. And then, right after it, you can upload in HD.
So I'll just. you have Wi-Fi, upload it, and then now it turns into a video. But it's a different type of video, because it has live comments that happened when it was live, and recording, and you get to see this wave of people who are coming in. You're like, OK, maybe it dropped off because my energy dropped. We're talking about yesterday, energy drop, maybe I got lost in my story or whatever.
Go to JJ Abrams, just get right into it, and you'll see these, oh, OK, this is the trends of how I'm doing Facebook video. So we're talking about video, super powerful, and you can test for five bucks to kind of see what are people engaging with in your audience, five bucks, two bucks. Thank you. Yeah. Is there a specific copy that you're putting, like some kind of wording on your live video?
We did, did we add copy? We had a segment already, or are we doing another one, too? We did one yesterday. So reference that, right? A lot of that add copy, the add copy I told you, feel, felt, found?
Right, right. Works like gangbusters. I will say that, and I've only been doing Facebook Live on my personal profile, but I know that the copy, just the headline, that I put on there, majorly impacts the amount of people I get. First sentence, yeah, it's that first sentence. Right, OK, OK.
Because they see your page name, that first sentence, ow, my wife slapped me, dot, dot, dot. They're like, what the heck? Like, they want to see it. Like, if you're a type of like, you know, that style of marketing, but if it's more like you're trying to teach something very specific, I mean, that one sentence. Or how to.
Or how to. Yeah, blah, blah, blah. Right. Yeah. Question?
On a Facebook group, what are the best ways to create engagement in there? Like, your Facebook group. All right, check this out. You can do a Facebook Live in a group. Yeah, yeah.
Now, you can't do paid ads to it, but you can do it into your group. And they go, it's the guy who owns the group. It already puts you on authority. Even if you don't think I'm the best, you're the best in that group. You are the group.
Right? So that's one way to do it. Yeah. Yeah. Any questions from live?
We're good? Valerie says, what do you send in retargeting ads? What do you send? OK. So, a retargeting ad, you're assuming they saw something of yours that you did.
And you'll know which ad it is or which video. Now, the easiest way, in terms of ad copying, you know, you can be very creative. So the one I paid a couple thousand dollars to kind of figure out from a course was, did life get in the way? Because you're assuming, if they saw it the first time, and they saw that, you know, if they didn't do what you wanted to do, you go, did life get in the way, but check this out. This is what we were talking about in the last video.
Like, you're assuming the conversation never ended. So you take one conversation, you do the retargeting ad, assuming they already knew, they already saw part one of Star Wars. Let's talk about part two of Star Wars. I already know you saw it. Right?
So you open the conversation again. The best way I've done it for retargeting was, did life get in the way, and then I bring the conversation back to what I know what they saw. From Madera, should you do a call to action at the end of each Facebook Live? So the question, should you do a call, a CTA, call to action. I am personally a for-profit business.
In a for-profit business, I say 100%. If it's non-profit, well, I mean, okay, can I talk about religion? Do churches ask for money? So I'm not going to say, pay me, but I want to say, go somewhere, right? Now we had a conversation with yours.
You were doing a great video, but it was just like, peace. And then you had all these clicks go everywhere, but they're like, they're everywhere, right? Light by itself is light, but when you focus it, it turns into a laser. Think about that, right? You have to focus it, and if you focus them, this funnel of path to just something you want them to see, blog post, Facebook group, maybe you just only want to retarget them, you can definitely do that.
But always have a reason why you're doing a video. If not, I mean, maybe you just, you know, because you're like David Wood and you think it's funny. That's great, but when you're a very small business, you have to have a very clear action-taking step for them to get to know you more, get an email, come to your Facebook group, read one of your blog posts, private message you, whatever it needs to be. Yeah. Good?
Good.
