Journey to Lasting Greatness

You can sit or stand. Do backflips. Do backflips. Yeah, I was just sitting back there thinking just about, you know, a lot of the stuff we went through. You know, I've told the stories, you know, about selling things, Craigslist, things like that.

But I really just went back into that moment because what happened is I found out about this business. I'd spent a month or so just really just learning, absorbing everything. And I just wanted to go to the next level. I was like, I've got to do this. But we had just filed a bankruptcy.

Our house, we just found out we were about to lose our home. We had no credit. There was no credit. No credit cards were non-existent for us at that point. They were all either maxed out or it was just done.

So I'm working in the restaurant. I mentioned earlier I work one night a week bartending because that's all they could squeeze me in for. Maybe a hundred bucks, maybe. It's a Monday night, so it wasn't really a lot. You know, it's not really busy to bar on a Monday night.

And I just made the decision one Monday night. I was just like, it was around Thanksgiving. And I was just like, I'm just going to do it. You know, I had put some DJ gear on Craigslist that hadn't sold yet. But I just put it out there that thing was going to sell.

And so I walked into my mom's office. It was my mom's restaurant. It's the only place I could find work. And I walked into her office and just, man, it was the hardest thing I'd ever done in my life. It was just, you know, because I'd already been beat down so bad.

I had to borrow the money from her to file the bankruptcy. That's how broke we were. I mean, I didn't even have money to pay the attorneys to file the bankruptcy. I had to borrow that from her. And I walked into the office and just said, Mom, can I talk to you?

And she was, moms always know what's about to happen, you know what I mean? She was like, I was like, can I use your credit card? And she's like, for what? And I was like, I need to start this business that I've kind of been dabbling in, you know, learning about. And I just tried to get it, tried to be excited about it.

But I probably felt like you feel right now there's that sense of like you're scared. But you're like, at the same time, you're excited. And that feeling that was inside me, because inside I was bubbling. I was like, yeah, this is going to work. I'm going to make it work.

I'm going to make it work. But the other side of me was like, holy crap. How am I going to pay her back? I haven't sold this thing yet. I know it's going to sell.

But how do I explain that to her? Because they'd already seen me try different opportunities, different MLMs. And like I said earlier, I could barely sponsor two people in a month. So it was just like, oh, my gosh. So I just remember she just always believed in me.

She's always believed in me. And she just said, OK, but I have to have this money back by the end of the week. And I was like, oh, crap. Do I do it or don't I do it? I did it.

So I went in and just took the credit card. I called the card company. It's not going through. So you need to call them to let them know I'm making some charges. So she did that, handed it back to me.

And I just typed it in and just got pumped. And it was crazy because the next day, the next day, somebody called me about the gear I had on Craigslist. Sold it. Turned around. Paid her off the following day.

So when you really set yourself onto what you want and that you're just going to make it happen and do it, it's crazy how things just start to fall into place. But you really just have to get into it and just go into it without a doubt that things are going to work. It was in January. And then came the event. Oh, the other part, too.

When I asked her for the money and the card, then my sponsor at the time, there must have been like an affiliate contest going for Austin tickets or something. So he goes, OK, you got all in. Now you need to get to the event. And I'm like, dang it, Mom. Because I was already all in at that point.

I had to be at the next event. There was no other option. But since then, you know, we slowly grew our income. And like John was saying, you know, it's one of those things where you see us now and you don't know the whole story. You don't see the times where we were flat lined out trying to get things going.

And then all of a sudden, it took me two years to hit my first $100,000. But then after that, I mean, within the next two years, we've just multiplied that multiple times. I mean, it's insane what's happened. But it started with that commitment. And it started with just burning the sales, burning the ships, just going in.

It's what you have to do. And this is why I'm bringing this up. It's not to get somebody who, like, it's going to ruin their life to spend money to spend money. That's not what it's for. It's for all the other people, which is most of you, right, who are struggling with the decision to just get you to make a decision one way or the other, right?

And that's what a decision is. It's burning the bridges, right? And this is the attitude that you got to have. And there's, like, books that have been written on this. Every successful person that you talk about, I mean successful, they created amazing things, okay?

They will tell you this. When you do something, you must act in a way that there is no other options but the thing you're creating if you want it to happen. If you want to unlock creative power and be able to get something done, you must act with faith, which faith is not sort of believing in something, right? It is believing in something in such a way that there's evidence of it. And maybe the only evidence is you, right?

If you believe that you will make money, there is no question you will just buy all those products. Now, again, who I'm talking to and who I'm not talking to, both are okay and I love them all, right? You have until now, until the end of the month to get all in to be activated and all that stuff. And what I would do is not think about just getting it. I would think about how many people you could bring in the process, right?

Because you're about to, right now you have a good model, right? And I already know they will because we've tested what we're doing and it does that, right? That's not including the merchant account stuff. But you have an ability to be bringing people in and I'm going to tell you what I'm going to see Michael Martin do because I know he'll do it, right? Because he can bring in the numbers of people to be able to do it.

He's going to start having $4,000 days. Every day, right? That's what gives you the ability to create with leverage like that. And Lawrence will have $4,000 commissions passing up from 10 levels down. So will Tracy.

She's got an organization like that. They're bizarros like me. They're just like, where's that coming from? I don't know. It's because I can see the emails that's underneath like all these other people and then Toby will send you an email.

No, he'll probably qualify by that at that point. But all Toby needs is one last commission email there and he's good. But the thing is, is that all we need, right? All we need is on top of what we got is somebody here making a decision. Somebody here deciding.

And I have a friend. Who saw his tax returns. In 1994. And. His reported income.

After expenses. To the IRS. Was $60 million. For one year. Right.

That's how rich that guy is. And so. So anyway. He walks up. He says.

How do I go. How do I get to the next level. Right. Telling Amway stories. But come on up.

And. What happens is. He says. You really want to know. The guy says.

Yeah. Tell me. He says. I don't know if you want to know. He says.

No. I really want to know. He says. Come closer. The guy says.

Okay. He says. Do you really want to know. And. The guy says.

Yeah. I really want to know. He goes. You really want to know. Yeah.

He goes. Takes his head. Puts him under the water. No resistance. Right.

I mean. The guy's just like. Yes. Cult leader. Right.

And. And then. He just sits there for a minute. Like this. Right.

Oh. Bill's not really doing anything. He's just waiting. Waiting. Waiting.

Then all of a sudden. This guy starts needing to breathe. And then he tries to get up. And then Bill stops him. He's about 250 pounds.

Right. And this guy's already a little tired from not breathing. Wondering. Like. What's going on?

Right. And then. The guy starts struggling. And Bill just holds him there with both his hands. He's a heavy guy.

That'd be hard to get up. No matter who you are. Right. I'd actually go down. That's what I'd do.

I'd be like. You want to come down here with me? And then come up. But anyway. So anyway.

But. This guy. All of a sudden. He starts going crazy. And then.

And then. He starts to panic. Right. I don't know if any of you guys have not been able to breathe for a minute before. It's like.

Panic. You know what I mean? Like. The world shuts off. It's actually why.

When there's drowning people. You send people out. Right. To save them. They tell them.

They tell you to knock up. Knock the people out. Because. In a panic. Blindly.

They'll push you under the water. Trying to get out. And you'll both drown. Right. They tell lifeguards that in Hawaii all the time.

They'll knock you out. And they're huge. You just don't go out there. Right. And then you'll have a broken jaw.

And you'll almost drown. But in any case. Right. You're like. I was just going to drown before.

Gosh. So in any case. Right. Like. So people just freak out.

Their mind shuts off. And all you. There's not. You can't even think. It's like.

Your whole body is just. Fights for air. Right. And so then the adrenaline explodes. And the guy comes up.

Swinging like crazy. He tries to swing. Build it like this. And then he goes. He's angry.

He goes. When you want it. It's bad. Because you just wanted to breathe. It's done.

Right. See. That. Energy. Right there.

That's how you create stuff. Right. Is. All in. All your heart and soul.

No options. No matter what happens. If somebody says. If that doesn't work. You're done.

You say. That's because it is going to work. And. You create. A different energy.

Right. And. It's. It's. It's It's.

And vision, like I talked about on one of the next Little Masterminds, comes from something greater than us. It comes from connecting to something beyond. It could be a vision. It could be an idea. That could be connecting to a higher power.

But the reality is that when we connect to what we're built to do, it's like power flows into our being. It's like every cell of the body is completely energized. It's like the mind comes alive. And that's exactly what we were just seeing. We were seeing a man who came alive.

Now, the interesting thing about Empower Network is that Empower Network is built to allow your vision to come alive. And one by one, we come together, connecting in to a greater vision, a vision that goes beyond anything that any one of us could create. Empower Network is more than just the sum total of all the visions. When we get together, it's like a field of energy grows. It expands and gets stronger.

That's because when one human being reaches out to another human being and connects, heart to heart, mind to mind, vision to vision, there's access to a power and a greatness that goes beyond anything that we can have if we're trying to keep it all to ourself.

The way to reach for greater power, the way to have more strength and more capability is first to unite, to come together, and second, it is over and over and over again to reach out to the one, to reach out to the many, to unite heart to heart, and to breathe vision into people, because vision comes from a source greater than our own. Call it an idea, call it a field of energy, call it the unconscious mind, call it a higher power, call it source energy, but when we tap into that, we have access to something greater, and that's what I'm going to ask everyone to tap into now, is to reach out with your intention, to reach out and to connect, and to reach up to something beyond yourself, and to draw that power down into you, and then to allow yourself to feel it as it moves through you and out into your messaging, and that is when the messaging begins. It becomes powerful. It's when it becomes fueled by something beyond you. So let's do an exercise here together right now, and as we do this exercise, Dave, I'm going to ask you to either come join me, or quiet down for a minute, okay?

Okay. So first thing we want to do, and this is a regular exercise that I do, is I do a centering exercise. I center and ground my energy. I reach down and connect to the earth. I reach up and connect to the sky, right?

Open up the heart and to connect beyond. That's where we're going to start. So wherever you are, and no matter what your belief system is, just come along with us. Join together in a common cause. Join together with a common heart.

But whether you want to keep your eyes open or closed, I'm going to ask everybody just to center for a moment. Center all of your attention, all of your awareness, right down in on the breath and the breathing. And gather all of your attention inward. Again, eyes could be open, eyes could be closed. Allow yourself to center that awareness in the right here and the right now.

To take a breath and to let go of your past, to let go of the excuses, taking a breath to let go of the limitation. Taking a breath for a moment to embrace the possibilities, to open up to the infinite possibilities that's before you, the field of possibilities that comes from belief. As your belief expands, reach down into the earth and connect yourself to the power that comes from Mother Earth. And reach your hands up above, reaching up to the sky, opening up to something greater than you and realize inside a vision, a strength, a fire begins to burn. And as you ground into that energy and center, open yourself up to a higher vision.

You may reach up to a higher power. You may reach up to source. You may reach up. And as you do, ask, why am I here? What am I built for?

Give me a dream. Wake up the vision inside of me, deep inside. As something starts to be birthed and form in your mind, some of you will have a vision enter the mind, an image. And others may even hear something softly whisper, a word, a feeling, an image of you walking into your power that you were born to have, stepping into your strength like a fire around you, a vision that energizes every cell of the body. You can realize whatever happened in the past, whatever you think you were.

You are more than that, much more, much greater. And your capacity grows as you connect to something beyond you. And now is your time to bring that deep inside and create momentum, a new vision for what you can do because you have the power. That great strength lies within you, is waking up inside. And you feel it, don't you?

Allow that to grow. See yourself here in the room, there on the stages. As ever, a small seed planted in fertile soil begins to grow. It has now begun the process of reaching the heights of possibility. As the seed grows up, reaching for the sky, you can lift up your hands, your voices, and say, now is my time.

Now is my time. Now is my time to reach, to grow, to climb. And now is our time for momentum. Now is your time to step into your vision, to step into your purpose. Now is your time to step into what is in your mind and to let it flow through you with power.

Now is your time. And anytime you want, you can put your hands, your heart. Bringing the vision inside as you do. Remembering this moment. Remembering you.

You do have the power. To change, to grow, to conquer. And I love you. Thank you for being here. I love you.

I believe in you. And thank you for being here. And this will work. And now is our time. It's time for you to stand up, to rise up, and to step into your vision.

Not for any other man, not for any other woman, but for you and for what you're uniquely built to do. And if you are ready to do that wherever you are, as long as you are physically capable, stand. Stand. Rise up and claim your vision as you raise your hands up in the air. And repeat after me.
