She Had Never Sold Anything Online. Her Real Life Turned Out To Be Enough.

She asked for a chair before she’d said ten words. Not a figure of speech, an actual request from the stage, because her knees were shaking too hard to stand through her own introduction. Sarita Klees had never worked online, never worked in sales, and had spent the last several years as a stay-at-home mom in Perth. Australia with two small kids, Nicholas and Grace Marley. She and her fiance were fighting over bills so often that she’d started dreading the walk to the mailbox. That’s the actual starting point of this session. Not the stage, not the leaderboard. A woman terrified to be up there at all, doing it anyway because of two kids sitting in the front row.

What do you do when you’ve got zero experience and the bills are already piling up?

Sarita didn’t ease into this. She found a video of a woman named Rhonda talking about traveling for five years, decided on the spot she was going to do the same thing. And went all in that same month, February of last year. She and her fiance were already deep into credit card debt by then, close enough to a limit that another few thousand barely registered. Here’s the reasoning she used, and it’s worth sitting with because most people do the opposite: she figured that money was going to disappear on bills within the next couple of months regardless of what she did with it. So she stopped treating it as money she couldn’t touch and started treating it as money she’d already lost either way. The only real choice left was whether it disappeared on nothing, or on something.

The other option, the one she says was never actually on the table, was going back to a job and leaving her kids in daycare. She’d worked in childcare before this and had watched what it did to toddlers who didn’t have a parent around. She couldn’t do that to her own two. So the debt wasn’t the risk in her mind. Staying where she was, was the risk.

What actually got her through the first ninety days, the part everyone warns you is the hardest?

One thing, repeated so often in this talk that it becomes the whole session’s spine: her why. Not a vision board version of it, the literal two kids whose photos she put up on the screen behind her. She says that’s the reason the toughest days got easier instead of harder, because she wasn’t doing this for a leaderboard. She was doing it so her children would grow up believing anything was possible for them.

Underneath that why, she built a habit most people skip. Every night before bed, without exception, she listens to something meant to keep her mind pointed the right direction. Her stated go-to is Ask and It Is Given by Esther Hicks, a book she calls her own version of a Bible. It’s not the only ingredient, but she’s specific about the sequence: the habit comes first, at night, before the day is allowed to close on a low note.

1. Pick one why you can put a face and a name to, not an abstraction, and keep it in front of you literally, not just in your head.
2. Do something visible before you feel ready for it. Sarita ran a video challenge early on despite calling herself an introvert who was terrified to be on camera at all.
3. Feed your own head something on purpose every night, so the doubt that shows up during the day isn’t the only voice you’ve heard all week.

None of this is complicated. It’s also not comfortable, which is probably why so few people actually do all three at once.

What do you do when the people closest to you start judging you?

She brings this up almost as an aside, and it’s the most honest moment in the whole talk. Even after real success in this business, she says she’s had to face people turning on her recently. And it hasn’t come from strangers. It’s come from people close to her. Her answer isn’t a tactic. It’s a decision about whose opinion gets to run her life.

That’s the line she keeps coming back to, and it reframes the whole fear-of-judgment problem. You don’t get to skip the haters by being careful enough or likeable enough. You only get to decide which version of your life you’re building it for.

What is attraction marketing, once you strip the buzzword off it?

Sarita’s answer is almost embarrassingly simple: you just share yourself, and who you are. That’s the whole mechanism. Pictures of her kids, her actual life, her actual story, told honestly instead of polished into a pitch. It’s how she found Rhonda in the first place, and it’s how a woman named Gabriel Morrison, also a stay-at-home mom from Perth. Ended up finding her. The two of them built something called Mumpreneur Hangouts out of that connection, moms dialing in at midnight in Perth and eight in the morning across the US. Plus Canada and New Zealand, all on the same call, all wanting the same thing for their kids. As she puts it to the room, “give yourself permission to shine.”

She flew close to forty hours to get to this event, her third time making that trip, and this time she brought a team with her instead of coming alone. That’s the actual proof of the mechanism working. Not a claim. A woman who used to describe herself as an alien who never fit in, standing on a stage with a room full of people she built by being exactly who she already was.

Oh my god. Oh my god. I just want to, yeah, I can't believe I'm standing here and I thank you guys so much and I'm here to serve and inspire you guys because. Yes, I'm actually looking for a chair because my knees are wobbling. Thank you.

Thank you. Yeah, I am brand new really to this industry. I've never really worked online or in sales before. So, but I'm here because of my children.

I'm a stay-at-home mom. I've got two beautiful children. I've actually got my daughter right here. And I've got slides too.

Let's see if that works. So, yeah, this is my, I've got a little boy called Nicholas and my daughter Grace Marley and I hadn't been working for about four years. Then I had my son 22 months later and I always wanted to be a mom. I was, I never really knew what to do, like job-wise, but I was, I was, I was. I was, I was, I was kind of at odds.

Got more problems and I'm very proud of that. So I didn't kind of bean dress but I go have my boys. I change clothes and I travel a lot, and then, on top of that, I have a therapy practice in where in. One day I've got to London and I can't lose work existem Pullman. So I planned to leave me show some porn and I want to get competency just that I. I have two boys and I, you know, come home and I couldm't do anything.

No, I didn't really manage my money. I've said, you know, I've never made money. But I'm a� architecture, not an ideology. I've never had my job.

And I can hold my body and I'm very comfortable. And they're trying to fuel me, you know? And I've just gone round and round and round and round and round and filled my life, filled my equipment. You know.

Got, got all in, in February, last this year, 2014, yeah, and I just went full steam, because I really really wanted a better life for me and my family. We were at a point where, you know, my fiance and I were fighting over bills constantly, I didn't want to go to the mailbox because they were just bills piling up. And I was looking for a way to stay home with my babies. And you know, there was no way I was going to go to a job and leave them. Because that's the one thing I always wanted, I want to be a mom, and when they that young. They really not need you, they're really, you know, like, I actually worked in child care for a while. And because I love children, and I worked with toddlers, and I could see how it was really affecting those little. Little beings, that they didn't have their mom there, and you can't split yourself, they're really. Well, I just couldn't do it to my children, so there was no option for me to, to. Let's go to the next one. Yeah.

Sorry guys, I'm a little bit nervous, but I am, the reason, yeah, I got started, was because I needed to find a way to make an income online. Up, I'm very much into law of attraction, and I knew that there must be a way for me to be with my kids. And there's so many people making money online, so why can't I. So I would just looked and looked and looked, and I found Ronda, and I've got a video. And she was talking about how she's been traveling for five years, and I was like, I'm gonna do this. And we went so much that already, and I was like, it doesn't matter, I'm gonna get, it's like. You know, I'm just like, gonna, five more grand, who cares, because there was no discount then. And we were like, you know, we were like close to 50k in credit card debt, and I knew that the next two months most likely that money would have disappeared anyway on bills. And my other option would have been leaving my kids, and that was an option for me. So I just went, I went all in, and I went full steam ahead, and I put my head down. And I just followed the steps, and I've always been into self-development. And, um, oh my God.

All right, yeah, so your why is really important, right? So yeah, so my why is my children, and that's the reason, I think, I'm, I'm doing really well. I'm actually number one on the income leaderboard. Um, and I, it's not because I'm very, um, technical, or I, I, you know, I have no experience. I've never been in sales, I've never been in online marketing. It's because I really, um, you know, when you know why you do what you do, even the toughest days become easier. And I know I'm doing this for my babies. And you know, anyone who is a parent here, you, you just fight for your children, and I want the best possible life for them. I want them to know that anything is possible. And you know, I, um, can't understand how society approves of, you know, putting your kids into daycare when they're like six weeks old. And so that's why I really connected with Rhonda. So thank you for that, and I'm just, just here to inspire others, and I've got only nine minutes left. So.

All right, so my, this is, um, Nikki, this is my little boy, and that's my why number two. This is my little girl. Um, yeah, um, have the courage to try something new. Um, you know, I, um, I've been to all the events since I started, I've come all the way from Australia. Uh, about 40 hour flight, uh, the last year three times now, again, I've actually brought a team with me this time. So it's been amazing. And it is, you know, the secret of happiness is freedom, and the secret of freedom is courage. Try something different, and I had to have the courage to, and even leaving my kids, I mean. It's huge, but I'm doing it for them so I can be with them. And I, you know, um, it's been crazy the last four weeks, um, the income disclosure, obviously I've made 21 000. Which is crazy, and it's not about the money, it's about freedom.

I was in Bali the last, um, yeah, I was two weeks in Bali, and I didn't even have. You know, very well interconnected connection for some time, and I didn't really do much at all. But I'm just sharing my life, I'm sharing my story, and really just connecting with other moms. And I am just, you know, following pretty much the lead of, you know, what my mentor, my mentor. Like Rhonda and Justin Ryan and Jabril, and you know, all these amazing people have been teaching me. And Empower Network and the empower family. And that's why I'm coming here to the events, because every time I come here I get inspired. So, um, give yourself permission to shine. And I've always felt like a bit of an an alien, maybe I am, so I never felt I fitted in. But I've kind of fit in here somehow. And, um, I'm doing well, and, um, I just know that I'm here to serve and help you guys. You know, I was really scared coming on on stage, because it's really not, I'm a bit of an introvert. So, um, but I know that I have to be here to inspire other moms. So.

I don't know if I even have got the time to go through all this, but I, one thing for me. Because the first 90 days is, like many people say, it's the hardest, you know, your first 10k. Or your, your first, uh, 90 days is really hard. But I was just so excited to be part of something where I could see, you know, this is life transforming material. Like, we're going to move to Bali in July, um, I'm going to retire my fiance from a job that he hates. So, um, you know, and I'm going to have kids and live an amazing life right now, and not when I'm retired. You know, who knows, you know, you never know if tomorrow you're gonna die or. So just, you know, keep going, be positive, persistent and patient, uh, and keep going.

And I'm just very much into law of attraction, so one of the tools, are, one of the things I'm always into. Inner circle every day, I go to sleep every day with, I can't actually go to sleep without. Um, self-development. So I'm listening to the inner circle, I'm listening to audiobooks every day, to keep myself motivated and keep myself positive and high and keep going. And you wake up so much better, and it works. So one of the books that I really recommend is, uh, ask and it is given by apron Hicks. And yeah, it's kind of my Bible, and it works for me. And it's, yeah, it's just all about, um, you know, it's all about visualizing, and you know, you are. We are here to, to shine, we are here to actually live an amazing life, and just, we don't know how much time we've got with the people that we have. So make, make each day an amazing day, and, um, especially with you, with beautiful children, when you have children. Because they grow up fast, and they might not live with you, like, um, yeah, and that's another big thing.

Um, you know, in the end, people will judge you anyway, right, I don't know what it says. But in the end, people, you anyway, don't live your life impressing others, live your life impressing yourself. And I'm doing this for my kids, I'm doing this for me, and feel the fear but do it anyway. It's huge. You know, doing videos, I did a video challenge when I got started, I did a credit you challenge. And every time you put out videos, there's going to be people who get inspired by you, that. But there's also going to be people who are going to judge you, and there's going to be people who are going to start becoming haters. And it could be even the closest people to you, it could be your family. And so I had to face that recently, actually, even though I've been very successful in this industry and in this business. I've been facing that challenge, but I'm just have to keep going because I'm doing this for my children. So just, you know, you guys, it's really important to connect with your wife, whatever it is, if you have kids. Or if it's you want to travel, or you have a passion you want to do art, and you don't want to be a slave to a job. Just remember that. And don't worry about other people, they're just, you know,

they're just unfortunately honestly, like, I don't even have time to worry about other people, you know, so. But it is hard, because, you know, no one likes to be judged.

Ask, believe, receive, that's another law of attraction thing, and I want to, actually, now, I want to bring up Gabriel Morrison. Okay, Gabriel is amazing, she's also from Perth, she's also a stay-at-home mom, we're pretty much the same. This is for you, we're very much the same, and that's why attraction marketing works, because you just share yourself. And who you are, like, that's all I do, I share my life, I share my pictures of my kids. And, yeah, why don't you share, bud? Well, I'm, as Sarit said, she's really into the law of attraction, and that's how I found her. Or she found me, and, yeah, I've got two children who have left for the very first time to come here. Which is really, really hard.

Hard to do, but we shared, we shared the same vision, and that's, I was, I, sorry, I've got notes. Because I was so nervous, yeah, I signed up with her because of her vision, I knew that she could do it. And I knew that, because she could do it, I could do it, and that's the same for everyone here. As well. She mentions the asking is given, I listen to that nearly every day, and it's really powerful. And when you ask for things, I actually asked to make a sale before I get to this event. And I made a black sale the day before, and I, I even said to myself, I'm actually going to go on stage. As well, and I didn't know how that was going to happen, and I'm actually on stage, like. So, anything is possible, so that's really what I want to say, anything is possible.
