The Core Strategy of Team Events: Run the Hangout Before Your List Is Big Enough
You have got leads coming in. Maybe not thousands, maybe just a handful this week, but they are there, opting in off your blog or your ads. Every week you send the same kind of email, get the same trickle of sales, and your team looks at your numbers with no idea how to reproduce any of it, because there is nothing to actually watch you do.
That is the gap this lesson closes. Justin Varengia, guest presenting this session of the 15K per month formula webinar included in this course, built his own turnaround around a single weekly habit most people wait years to start, mostly because they think they need permission or a bigger list first. Justin joined Empower Network in December of 2011 and spent months barely moving before an event and a specific new habit afterward changed the trajectory of his business inside of about ninety days.
He is not the only voice on this training. Aaron Rashkin, introducing and co-hosting the session, has been building teams in this industry for over two decades, and he backs up Justin’s mechanic with his own read on why events and consistency compound the way they do.
Why do you need to run a live event before you have a big list?
The instinct almost everyone has is to wait. Wait until the list is bigger. Wait until there is something impressive to show. Wait until you feel ready to be on camera in front of strangers. Justin’s answer to that instinct is blunt.
As Justin Varengia puts it, “Should I start once I have a thousand leads? No, start right now. If you have at least one lead on your list, you should be doing something live for your team and prospects.”
The logic underneath that instruction is not about vanity metrics. A live event, a hangout, a call, anything happening in real time with your face and your voice attached to it, does something a written email cannot: it lets a prospect and your own teammates watch you actually be the person you claim to be in your marketing. Wait for the list to get bigger before you start, and you are only delaying the moment you would actually start getting good at it.
What does a weekly live event actually build in you, separate from the sales it produces?
Here is the part of this lesson that goes past tactics. Justin is specific about what repetition does to a person who does this every single week, not occasionally.
If you do something live, like a hangout, you do that every week, you become a very good speaker. You become very good at sharing stories and expressing emotions. And how many people know that basically telling a story, a good story, and getting people to relate to you and take action is probably the most valuable skill set on the internet. It’s you telling your story.
That is the actual mechanism, not the traffic. Confidence on camera, the ability to tell your own story without stumbling through it, the instinct for when to pause and when to make an ask, none of that arrives before you start. It shows up because you kept doing the thing on a schedule, badly at first, until it stopped being effortful. Justin describes going from taking five or six hours to write a single blog post to doing it in fifteen minutes, purely from repeating the same habit daily instead of occasionally.
How do you actually get people to show up?
The mechanics here are almost entirely unglamorous. Create a Facebook event with a short block of copy, put your link right after the first sentence instead of burying it at the bottom, invite everyone already in your existing network. And hand that same copy to your team so they can run the identical event under their own name instead of staring at a blank page. A few rules keep this from collapsing into noise:
- Never schedule your own event at the same time as a company-wide call or webinar your prospects are already being invited to elsewhere.
- Invite your own list and personal network to the company’s existing live calls too, not just your own event, since those calls are already doing work for you.
- Give your team the actual event copy and email swipe copy rather than asking them to write their own, since persuasive copy is a skill that takes years to build and most new teammates do not have it yet.
None of that requires a big following to start. Justin points out that an ordinary Facebook friend list, built one add at a time and treated as seriously as any other list, works the same way a paid list does, at no cost.
Two smaller habits carry more weight than they look like they should. First, put a real photo of yourself in every email you send your list, not just your name, because people are attracted to people, not to a logo or a headline. Second, resist the urge to hand out your phone number everywhere you post, because it trains prospects to expect you to chase them down and explain everything on demand instead of showing up to the thing you already scheduled. Both habits push the relationship back toward the event itself, where a prospect can actually watch you and decide whether they trust you, instead of a one-off phone call that eats an hour and rarely closes anything.
There is one more move worth stealing directly: when a teammate gets their first real win, a first sale, a first bigger commission, a first day that finally proves the system works for them, get them on camera immediately while the emotion is still raw. A raw, specific story from someone who looked exactly like your prospect a week ago does more for your next event than another polished pitch from you ever will, because it is proof instead of promotion.
Why does the event matter more than the pitch inside it?
Aaron Rashkin, co-hosting the session, ties the mechanic back to something bigger than any single hangout. Events, in his experience, are where the actual decisions get made, not the follow-up call after.
As Aaron Rashkin puts it, “if you take your business seriously, and I know Justin, you covered this earlier, you will be at that event because the biggest commitments are made at events. The leaders are born at events.”
That is true of the large company events this course is built around, and it is just as true of the small weekly hangout you run for your own list. The event is not a pitch wrapped in a webinar. It is the one place all week where your team and your prospects get to watch you actually be consistent, actually show up, actually care whether they get value out of the hour, before you ever ask them for anything.
The full lesson goes well past what is covered here: the exact structure Justin uses for his event copy and email swipes, how to leverage a company’s own recurring calls without competing against them, and the specific habits, daily blogging, daily audio, sharing team success stories, that turned a list with almost no relationship behind it into hundreds of people showing up live every week. This lesson is part of the Classic Costa Rica Intensive. The entire course, including this lesson, is available for $99 through the Classic Costa Rica Intensive course.

Well, welcome everybody. Welcome to the 15K per month formula. This is Aaron Rashkin. I'm actually guest hosting or kind of introing the webinar tonight. Dave and Dave both had to step out kind of last minute to take care of some great things here for the team with this Empower Network just growing like a weed.
Obviously, you know that this is the most explosive home business opportunity and affiliate offer in the marketplace. And my great friend and our fearless leader, hippie Jedi, Justin Varengia was asked to step in last minute. And he's actually going to be covering some very, very, very powerful and time sensitive information for the last few minutes while we've been in pre-conference and pre-webinar mode. He's been sharing with me a little bit about what he's prepared, very similar to what Dave and Dave had prepared as well. But Justin takes things to a level that very few people in our industry can actually talk about.
And that is the power of events. And if you're brand new, we want to welcome you. If this is your first 15K formula, perhaps you're just joining us for the first time. You just picked up your 15K formula here, maybe today or in the last couple of days, and you're going through the modules. And this is actually module number 11, I believe.
We've had some incredible, incredible training so far from Dave Wood. I know Justin was out on the module. And he's going to be talking about some of the things that we've mentioned in the modules early on in the series back in the, I think, the second module. He was talking about some video marketing and shared his input on several different topics. And we got into blogging, and we've been through the conversation about paid traffic.
We've had conversation about email marketing, content and conversions, syndication, you know, getting people to your blogs and blog posts, getting it out there through social media networks and channels. And of course, we talked about team building just a couple of weeks ago. And again, we just came back from what I consider to be one of the most powerful life-changing events that our industry has ever seen. As far as I know, there hasn't been anything that big and that life-changing in the home based business and internet marketing specific niche. I've been to events for now over 22 years and I'm still just coming down off the event high that we had here a couple of weeks ago in Austin, Texas.
And I know many of you are still posting photos and videos and tagging all your friends on Facebook and using your social media networks to get the word out about Empower Network and about your specific business. And tonight, we're going to have some amazing content. I'm going to go ahead and get out of Skype here actually. So let me get completely off of Skype so we don't get interrupted. Excuse me, guys.
I kind of didn't know I was going to be hosting this, so I wasn't fully prepared. But hey, you know what? Leaders step up and step out, and that's exactly what we do for our friends and for our teammates and for all the leaders here in the community. So that being said, I want to make sure we set the stage properly for our presenter tonight.
You know, you guys know him. You love him. I don't know anybody that doesn't love Justin Varengia. We actually met just a little bit over six months ago. It was at the very first Empower event in Atlanta,
Georgia, back in June of 2012. The company had just really taken off. It was kind of relaunching in March after a series of unfortunate events. Fortunately, you know, nothing happens to us. It happens for us.
And, you know, whether you're spiritual or not, you know, I know God has its hand down on Empower Network. And, of course, we had the opportunity to convene in Atlanta, Georgia. And I kept out of the corner. I kept seeing this beautiful couple, this long-haired hippie Jedi guy and his beautiful wife and, you know, long, dark, flowing hair. And I looked over, and there's Justin and Dee Varengia.
And I didn't know them. And I believe I introduced myself to them. We got a chance to kind of shake hands quickly right before the leadership meeting. And I didn't know anything about, you know, Dee and Justin. I didn't know anything about Justin's background.
And, you know, I found out later on that he was really there because he was told that if he didn't go, that he'd be making the biggest mistake of his life. And that is so true when you think about how important events are. Events are where leaders are born. And events are where the biggest commitments are made. And I know that Justin, and he'll share the story with you himself, that event in Atlanta was really the launching pad for his business and his success.
His and Dee's rise to the top. I know they were struggling in an MLM for many years. Justin had been born. He's going to be blogging. He's going to tell you his own story.
And because of that short brief interaction and the chance that we had to shake hands and get to look each other in the eye for the first time, you know, I didn't know a lot of people at that event. We didn't have a large team there because we hadn't really promoted just yet, myself and Sofia. But I knew that I was there to meet other people that were either already successful or people that were coming up the line. And after that event, I just saw something new that I hadn't seen in a long time.
Somebody who had struggled profusely in traditional MLM and they just simply started following the plan from that point on. And that was Justin and Dee's story. And over the course of the next several weeks and months, Justin's name became very popular in the community where, you know, he was showing up on the leaderboard. He was being spoken about in the conversations. He was spoken about on the Monday Night Empower Hour.
Dave Wood, who also lives obviously in Costa Rica, Justin lives there as well, or lived there as well. So Justin had visited him and a life-changing event took place. And all of a sudden, because of the event, because of the conversations that he had with Dave Wood, and again, Justin's going to tell you his own story, Justin shot up out of nowhere and he does it like nobody else could. We've had a chance to spend quality time together here.
In mine and Sophia's office home, we invited he and his amazing wife Dee out for a week and they spent a week and we masterminded. We were up till 2, 3, 4 in the morning, taking long drives out to the mountains and just having some really in-depth conversations, not just about business, but about life in general. And, you know, I got to say that Justin's one of those people that you want to get to spend time with, you want to get to connect with him and you want to really hang out and get to know him because his depth of character is just really unmatched. And this is one of the reasons that he and Sophia are so close. And I think that's one of the reasons that he and Sophia and I have become such amazing friends over the last six months since we first met.
And I'll tell you, live events, like I said, they change lives. And we can't thank this community and this network enough for allowing Justin to really flourish here because he's become an incredible presence for this company, for Empower Network and for this entire network of people. And so without any further ado, I would like to thank Justin for joining us today. And I want to bring my awesome friend and my brother, Justin Varengia. Justin, can you hear me, man?
Loud and clear, man. I appreciate you and Sophia so much. And we talk about the power of events. And it's the damn truth. If I didn't go to Atlanta and I didn't stretch and do what I was uncomfortable with doing, you know what I mean?
I'd probably still be struggling in my business because I joined Empower Network December of 2011. But my Empower Network business did not change. And so I want to bring my awesome friend and my brother, Justin Varengia, here to talk to you on this. And I'm sure we have an excellent company. Make that decision.
I think it's a great fucking opportunity. All right, guys, thank you for joining us today. I really appreciate it. I appreciate any of you that are watching our podcast right now. And again, we appreciate that.
And I also want to recognize our sponsors. We are Intrinsic, and our sponsors, and our partners, and all of our other sponsors of the channel. We want to say thank you to all of you. We have a lot of great people that we know working on this event. So, as I mentioned, our sponsors are Intrinsic.
We've got a lot of amazing people that are doing our stuff. And one of the things that's really cool about being a sponsor is that we have a lovely, understanding, and understanding connections. If you do not blog daily, and I'm going to write this down because it's profound, if you do not blog daily, don't expect your teammates to blog daily. Now, I'm doing this training right now because what I'm teaching you has drastically affected my business.
That's why David Wood chose me to present tonight, because he watched the transformation. He saw some of the things I started to do, and I started to blog daily. I started putting together these action assignments for my team so they'd have something to do, and I can kill two birds with one stone because I should be blogging. Since doing that, that's when I started getting pass-ups and roll-ups. Before doing that, when I wasn't blogging daily before Atlanta, I wasn't getting any roll-ups.
I wasn't getting any commissions from my team, and none of my team were getting any sales because I was teaching them by the wrong example, and it all comes back to who do you listen to. I was teaching them: I'm going to blog on my personal blog, which none of you have because I'm just cooler than you, and I'm going to put my Empower blog on the back burner. That's what they were perceiving, even though I wasn't telling them that. That's what a lot of you are doing, and you're misdirecting your team, and you're hurting your team if you're doing that. You need to blog daily, number one, because you need traffic, and blogging is great social exposure.
How many people have you known? I did not do anything else because I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I didn't have any extra money to invest into advertising, and I didn't start doing paid advertising until I started actually studying the 15K per month formula training, which was a little later on, because I was a blogger, and I had one of these things holding me back I call a self-limiting belief. Many of us have them. I just always believed that.
I always believed that paid advertising was for suckers, and I spent six years online figuring out how to get free traffic. So I always focused on free traffic, but here's the thing. I blogged on my personal blog for years, you know. I never really made more than four or five thousand dollars a month online in this industry in my entire life. The next 30 days I blogged strictly on my Empower Network blog.
I actually started doing it after that Inner Circle session, which may have been a month or two before the event. So by the time of the event, I had about 90 days of blogging momentum under my belt working for me. I got back from that event, I started to get about a sale a day, a sale a day, strictly from blogging. Hence the importance: you need to blog strictly for your own benefit, and you need to blog for your team's benefit if you care about your team. And I'm telling you this, if you don't blog but you tell your team to blog, you're a hypocrite, and they're not going to follow you.
You're not going to build a big team. You're not going to have breakout sessions like this. We've got like Tracy Walker, Tony Rush, Aaron Rashkin, over 200 people at the event. However, if you can empty your cup, you know what I mean?
And how many times did I say "you know what I mean" on stage? That's just totally subconscious. I must have picked it up from Dave or something, watching his sales videos or reading his copy. And something I do every day: I listen to Inner Circle audios every day because when I speak, I want to sound like I know what the hell I'm talking about. When I speak, I want to touch people's emotions.
So what do I do? I listen to an Inner Circle audio every day. What else do I do? I watch a sales video from David Wood selling me hypnotically every day, and I pick up some consciously from the best of the best of the best.
And that's super important. And what I'm going to be talking about tonight is doing a live event for your list so that you can make three, four, five times the money without having to generate any additional leads. So I want to ask that question here. And let me see, because this is my first time asking a question. But how many of you really want to learn how to generate five times the amount of income that you're currently generating without really doing much of any additional work?
Raise your hand if you want to learn that tonight. I just want to make sure you're paying attention here. Let me see. Click on it. I'm just going to click around here to see kind of what I'm doing.
Just give me a sec. Okay. I'm just going to move on because I really don't understand. Oh, I see hands going up right now. Badass.
Awesome. So you really want to learn. Then I want to teach. I'm not going to teach you something you don't want to learn. So that's really, really important.
Let me show some things on my screen real quick just so you know that what I'm talking about actually works and that I'm really making money. And of course, we have income disclosures on all our pages, and there's no guarantee of income ever, because we can't guarantee you won't come out with a bad case of wussy, or weenie-gitis. And that does happen. And if that happens from time to time, it's all good.
But I just want to prove to you that what I'm talking about really, really works. So I'm just going to show you a bit of my back office here. Some of the new members that I've signed up, all these people are pass-ups. This means these are people I signed up that rolled up to my sponsor because I treated my business serious. And so therefore my badass sponsor, Paul Hutchins, gets all these roll-ups.
And I'm just going to scroll down a bit. And as time just drives by, I'm going to show you a little bit of what I'm doing here, and a couple of things that I'm going to be doing. So I've signed up hundreds of people, and I'm going to show you some of them.
And what I'm doing here is I'm just going to split that 566 by five. So now we have some of our pass-ups that are actually getting rolled up at this point. So I'm just going to scroll down a bit. And as time just rolls by, I'm going to show you some of the people that I've signed up. I have over 100 people.
And there's hundreds of people. I'm not stopping at thirty thousand. My life, my business, and Empower Network's just beginning. Dave Wood said it on the call Monday night. Empower Network started in Austin, Texas. We're just getting rolling here. And if he stopped, he'd become desolate and he'd be stuck and his impact wouldn't have the impact of his true potential.
So we always, regardless of where we're at, we always have to have a common goal and a vision of where we want to be if you want to actually expect to get there. And so what I'm going to be talking about here is actually a live hangout. Why is the live hangout so profound? We actually just got done doing this. I popped on the phone for the 15K webinar right after I got done with my hangout, because I actually do what I'm teaching you to do in this video the same way. Everything that Dave and Dave teach you to do, they do it themselves.
They're not just preaching, but they're in the trenches. So here's something I started doing. I got with some people, successful team leaders that are on my team. Even in the beginning, I got with people that weren't even on my team just because I wanted to surround myself around people who were more successful than I was.
So I got with other badass leaders and such. We created a live event because David Wood, I think it was either at the master's retreat or in the 15K formula, one of the webinars, I don't recall, but he says, if you have one lead on your list, you should be doing a live event. Do you want to know why some leaders get the conversions that they get, and then there's other people that are generating leads and leads and leads, but their conversions just fail in comparison, maybe getting a fifth less the result that some of the leaders are getting?
And the reason for that: a lot of the leaders understand you need to be doing something live for your list every single week. And if you can do that, your income will go through the roof. Many of the leaders here, their income has gone up triple, quadruple, and I don't know the fifth after quadruple, but I'll say fiffle just because it sounds cool. But our incomes have gone through the roof. And I look at a lot of the leaders in the company, the same thing: all the leaders that have that team culture built, that had 200 plus people at their team breakout section in Austin, Texas, they're all doing something live for their team.
So now you're asking, Justin, when should I start doing these live events? Should I start once I have a thousand leads? No, start right now. If you have at least one lead on your list, you should be doing something live for your team and prospects. And that can be together.
For example, we do a live hangout, our team, and not only is it for our members, to share inspiration and create that culture, but it's also for prospects. So we're actually teaching our team how to recruit by creating this hangout thing. And I actually just want to show you real quick. We're not going to cover anything technical, because the dead honest truth, techie stuff is not where the money is at. You can Google how to do something and create something, how to create a website, how to create a page.
But what's more important is basically the mechanics and the strategy behind it. That's why at the very high level stuff, we're always learning strategy and not necessarily the how-to of this little thing and that little thing, because then you lose focus very fast, but the principles are where the money is at. So we just did this live hangout. We do it every week. And by the way, you should be doing a hangout if you're not already doing it.
If you already have at least a lead on your list, step up, start doing it. There's magic that is going to happen, and I'm all over the place tonight, but there's so many things that are on my mind that are absolutely critical. So, one of the things that I'm going to do is I'm going to do a live hangout. There's magic that will happen to you and your energy. If you do something live, like a hangout, every week, you become a very good speaker.
You become very good at sharing stories and expressing emotions. And how many people know that basically telling a story, a good story, and getting people to relate to you and take action, is probably the most valuable skill set on the internet? It's you telling your story. So what would happen if you step up, even if you've never done a video in your entire life, you step up, you commit, because we're telling you to do it and we care about you and we want you to be successful here. We want you to be on stage.
We want you to have a breakthrough. So we're telling you, do something live for your list every week. Here's what's going to happen, and here's where the magic transforms. You become very, very good naturally at speaking, and that's probably one of the most valuable skill sets, because if you can shoot a video and share that video on your blog and share that video with your list, you can build a relationship with your prospects without ever knowing them. They feel like they've known you for 20 years.
Why do I have a lot of success? Because people relate to my stories. I just share my struggles. I share the truth. I don't try to be somebody I'm not.
I just let people know when things piss me off, what pisses me off. I let them know where I come from. I let them know that I'm a human being that has struggled just like them. And how did I get good at it? I started shooting videos daily.
I started expressing myself daily. I started doing a live hangout more recently, just recently. And did anyone, raise your hand if you were able to see me speak on stage in Austin, Texas. If you saw me speak on stage, raise your hand, because I didn't even expect that magic to happen, to be dead honest with you.
But you know what? I've been doing the eight core commitments, and magic happens when you do what you're supposed to be doing. And if you're in the right place at the right time — and how many people know that being at the event is being at the right place at the right time. And that's why magic happened. I became good at speaking subconsciously.
So I never think about what I'm going to talk about anymore. I just let it flow. And since doing that, not only am I a better speaker, not only am I better on video, not only do I touch more people's hearts, not only am I a better blogger, but it's just everything about me has transformed. And everything about you can transform if you just practice that. And doing a live event, it's going to transform you in so many ways.
Not only does it provide content for your list, not only does it build relationship and rapport with your list, not only does it let your team know that you're serious about them and that you're a family and that you're here to pick them up when they're feeling a little down — all of the above and more that I can't even begin to express. So I start doing these team hangouts. Our team at Austin, Texas, we actually had over 200, about 250 people at our breakout session, people sitting on the floor, people waiting outside the room.
There were so many people they couldn't get in, and we were only expecting 50, 75 people, but we had hundreds. Why is that? We share our lives, we share our stories, we share our souls doing a live hangout, and it's so easy to do. So this is just an example of a live hangout we did. I don't do design work on websites.
I don't know how to, so I found a team leader that knows how, and we just work together, because you don't need to understand how to do everything. You just need to know how to get it done, and if you're brand new, maybe you shouldn't do it by yourself. There's no reason to do a hangout by yourself solo, you know what I mean? You should be with your teammates or other people like accountability partners. So if you're brand new, find an accountability partner.
There's a lot of training Dave covers on choosing an accountability partner, one at the same level that you're at, and do the hangouts together. I just saw some of my teammates step up and I'm so proud of them. I saw Jomo and Matt Dunn doing their own hangout. They didn't even tell me they were doing it.
I just saw their post all over Facebook and every group everywhere that they were going to share something with people and have this hangout to transform people's lives. People care when you give them value. It creates a trust. A lot of times people don't want to join you because they don't know who you are. You've never stepped out of your shell.
You've never shot a video. You've never taken video serious. You're not blogging daily. You're not listening to audios daily so you can become a powerful speaker. Did you know when I met Dave Wood the first night at his house, probably about less than an hour on the computer, zero time on the phone, about four hours watching movies, and about three hours listening to Amway audios?
Why is that? And I appreciate him doing that. I was at his house and he still found it important to listen to an audio, because he actually does what it is he teaches us to do.
And if I didn't actually go to his house, maybe I wouldn't have believed him, because I'm egotistical just like every human being, and I think I figured it all out years ago. You know what I mean? But sometimes we have to just admit when you don't know what you don't know. Pigs don't know. Pigs think.
We need to find mentors like the David Woods, the David Sharks, the Aaron Rashkins, the Tony Rushes, the Tracy Walkers. Follow them. The Mike Hobbs, the Adam Whitings, follow them with blinders on and stop following broke people. Get off every list of the broke person who is not really doing what they're saying they have accomplished. And what I see in the industry a lot, and Dave even talks about this, is someone may have had a million dollar year back in 1960 in Amway.
And I don't really know what year Amway started, so I'm just throwing a number out there. It kind of sounds cool for the story. But nonetheless, if you made that money 40 or 30 years ago and you're not doing that now, you're misleading the people. And I admit, I've been misled most of my life in this industry just following the wrong people that were preaching the dream and living the nightmare. So here's the event.
As you can see, we get a lot of comments at our live events because people love interacting. And this isn't just from one event. We're kind of clever, and we decided to create one page and then just update the hangout every week so that it looks like we have thousands and thousands of comments from every hangout. But the truth of the matter is we probably get over a thousand comments per hangout. And right now, there's 583.
I love 83. I was born in 1983. And if you add up eight and three, that's 11. And if you think about the module and the 15K per month formula you're watching right now, it's number 11. And number 11 happens to be my favorite number.
So I just think that's badass when I see synchronicities from the universe. But nonetheless, that's a lot of comments and that's a lot of people watching this. And for the next week until the time of the event, I'm going to be posting a video of our next event. We'll have over 500, 403 people a day watching it live, because when you record something, it gives you content.
And what do people love? What do your prospects love more than anything else? Really good content. So step up to the plate. Start doing a live hangout.
I just had ours. But here's something you want to keep in mind. Don't ever schedule a live hangout during the time of an Empower Network thing, such as the Monday night Empower Hour call. You'd be shooting yourself in the foot. Leverage off the live events Empower does, which are basically the Monday night call — something I started doing a few months ago when I saw my business transform.
I started inviting my prospects to the Monday night call. And this is profound, so I'm going to write it down, because a lot of you don't do it. But invite your list and your friends within your social networks, et cetera, Facebook, Google Plus. Invite your list and your friends to the Monday night hangout every single week. Sweet.
I can't spell here. I'm a little crazy. But yeah, invite them every week. And I started doing that. That is a live event and it's great.
So you should be doing that. That will increase your sales. I know Mondays and Tuesdays I have my biggest sales days. And the reason for that: Dave and Dave are smart. They realize that most people work a nine to five.
And most people that work a nine to five, they work Monday through Friday. They're off Saturday and Sunday. They go back to work on Monday. So they hate Mondays and they love Fridays.
So why do you think we have that Empower Hour on the Monday night? Not by coincidence. Dave and Dave know what they're doing. People are fed up with their life. They get back to work.
Their boss is telling them what to do. They got to raise their hand, ask permission to go to the bathroom. And they're just like, this shit sucks. This is not my dream.
And they end up signing up because you're inviting them to the Empower Hour. So never, ever schedule your event during the Empower Hour. Empower Hours are great.
But here's the difference that a live Google Hangout will do for you and your business: it will give you a connection to your audience, because the Empower Hours are great for them to learn more about Dave and Dave, the stories. And it works like magic. We give you these swipe copies. You copy, paste it.
And like magic, you put your link at the end, your affiliate link, and you get the sales. And that's great. But there's something else that you can do, and that's what we're doing.
And that's something different and magical that happens when your prospects that are used to getting your emails every day see your name, for example, John Doe. And then they're invited to a live hangout to find out more about you and who you are and the reason you're doing this, and what some of your goals are, what some of your struggles are, what some of your story is, so they can relate to you. Because Aaron talks about this all the time, Mr. Badass Aaron Rashkin.
People are attracted to people. That's another profound lesson in itself. People are attracted to people.
They're not necessarily attracted to the business, as great as the business sounds. People want to plant their flag working with somebody that is a real human being, somebody that actually has a heart, somebody that is willing to get in front of a camera and not hide behind a desk or whatever and never show their face online. And that's why a lot of the leaders are sought out after.
Just about every single day, someone hits me up on Facebook. They're already in Empower Network. And they say, Justin, I belong under so-and-so, but I want to join your team. The first thing I say is absolutely not.
It's against terms and conditions. I'm flattered by the fact you would want to join my team. But you know what? I'm willing to help anybody in Empower Network because we're family. And every single leader will tell you the same exact thing.
We're not here to cut people's throats, because we never want to do something that we wouldn't want done to ourselves. The same side of that coin, someone hit me up the other day. This is very rare. It's like the second person in 13 months. But they're like, Justin, can I have your permission to leave your team and join another leader who's willing to baby me and basically spend valuable one-on-one intense training together, because that's what I need to be successful?
And I replied back with pretty much the same answer. I'd say, I appreciate you joining my team and all that great stuff. But you know, the same reason I would tell people they're not allowed to join under someone else, because it's against the terms and conditions. I don't think it's fair for you to join under someone else. And it's not that I need your $25.
You happen to be in grace period. You haven't paid in like six months anyway, and you're just magically still in the system. But it's funny that they think that their success is dependent upon their sponsor. And that couldn't be any further from the truth. Your success depends upon you getting your hands dirty, rolling up your sleeves, getting to work, blogging daily, doing your eight core commitments, doing exactly what we teach you to do.
And for the first time ever, Dave Wood recognized who I was and he shot me a message and he said, I want to help you. Are you willing to do an Inner Circle audio? We can do some live coaching. We can record it if it's good. And a lot of people can value and benefit from that.
I started to create a little bit of success, and then I deserved the attention from the leaders to help me and pull me aside. I can't really help you if you've never made your first sale. There's nothing I can do to coach you, because you haven't followed the steps that are outlined in all the products.
First, you got to do that. Then you start producing. Then you're in the game. You're playing as if you were in the NBA right now. You're in the game.
It's fourth quarter. You're getting in the game and maybe something's off. And for some reason, you're missing all these three-pointers that you normally make. You're missing all the free throws that you would normally make. Then I can look at you as a coach and I can say, you know what?
It's maybe your confidence. If you can visualize the ball going through the net as it's releasing from your hands, and you can create that emotion where you felt unstoppable in life, then we can have a drastic change. I can coach you and I can get you to where you need to be. If I didn't produce any money, Dave wouldn't have been able to coach me, because I would have still had my cup full. And that's the same reason I wasn't going to the events, and I never did until I had my massive breakthroughs and I started following and opening, emptying the cup, and following exactly what I was being taught to do.
There's no wonder the miracles started manifesting. So people are attracted to people. I don't know how many people join me just because I use the word hippie and they're like, I'm a hippie. Or, back in the 70s, I used to be a hippie. I was at Woodstock smoking pot, oh yeah, that's pretty cool.
And they just want to join under me because they relate to me. And not that everyone's a hippie, I don't attract everyone to want to join me, but you know what, I attract people that I can connect my story to. So I practice telling my story.
One of my biggest awakenings was when I first joined the company. And at the time, being all in was the $25 level, the $100 level, and the $500 level. But I got all in. I bought that product, the Costa Rica Mastermind. Everyone on the line should already have that product.
So just know that you got to get that product. But anyways, I learned the art of storytelling, and that product was actually created before the inception of the Empower Network. But I still took that information, a lot of high-level stuff, some things I still haven't applied, but a lot of the stuff I have. One of the things that hit me the most that transformed my life was creating a hypnotic story. I watched the training as Dave was sharing it with me.
After that day, I started sharing my story more and more, and I learned a lot of things about video. I started sharing my story on my blog.
I started telling my story every day, every day, and it just started to flow. It just started to feel good. It just started to get hypnotic. And people all of a sudden were pulling out their credit cards as I'm speaking on the live streams or on the door in the live hangouts or whatever I'm doing when I'm blogging.
They're watching my videos. They're pulling out their credit card. And they're saying, I want to join this hippie badass right now. But things weren't always that way. So you need to understand where I started from and just realize I was where you were at just nine months ago.
And I'm not going to lie to you, I was where you were just nine months ago. So if you treat this stuff serious, and treat your business like a million dollar business, there's no doubt in my mind that you'll move mountains here, that you'll impact people's lives by the thousands. You know what I mean?
How powerful is it being able to get up on stage in front of 4,000 people that all share that same vision of a better life, doing greater things for humanity, giving back? Because we all realize this: how can I help society if I can't help myself? But first, we have to learn to empty the cup. We have to learn to follow the leaders who are all in and actually producing the results that we want to produce in our business.
Only then can we start to manifest the miracles that they've manifested in their lives. And the reason they're sharing all these great hypnotic stories with us is because it's all about belief. And the moment you start truly believing deep down inside that you're able to do this, that you're worthy of doing this, that people need you, that drive becomes what I like to call a burning desire. And it's that desire that turns you into a steam train that cannot be stopped, that will turn into that snowball that gets off at the top of the mountain in Colorado up there by Breck Ridge with Aaron Rashkin and all those badasses over there, Chris Rushlow, Jordan Schultz. And then that snowball starts rolling, and momentum and rolling and rolling.
And the next event, my first event, I had about 10 people on my team and only about five people were personally sponsored. So I had a small team at the event because I didn't decide to go until the last minute, which was stupid of me. But nonetheless, I got there. And then by the time of the first event, I was sitting in the crowd.
I wasn't even in the top 30 leaders. I was like number 50 or 60 or something crazy like that. I wasn't within the top. But I said, you know what? By the time of the next event, I'm going to be at the top.
I'm going to be collecting a check on stage. And I made that a reality within 90 days, from just being a spectator in the back of the crowd to collecting a check on the stage and bringing about 30 people to that event, or 40 or 50 people to that event. I'm not exactly sure, just guesstimating. But then by the time of the next event in Austin, how many people did I bring with me? We had a team in the hundreds, hundreds of people.
Why? Because I just follow exactly what Dave and Dave tell me to do. And I treat that serious because I know they care about us. Everyone on this webinar right now knows how much we care about you. We don't want nothing more than to see you succeed, because we can only get to the next level by uplifting our team and helping our team get to that next level.
And something that touched me that was so emotional when I was speaking on stage: I said, how many of you — Dave and Dave's dream or vision this year is 30 millionaires. How many of you want to be a millionaire? The crowd went crazy.
And then a little later, that word again, it just got people pumped up that their hearts were just pounding. They were clapping. They were on their feet. And I said it again, a millionaire. And then they just got crazier and crazier.
And then I just felt it. I felt the energy flowing through me through the ether of the universe. And I said, oh, I'm a fucking millionaire. And the crowd went wild. I've never had that much power in my entire life.
And the only reason I created that much power: I emptied my cup and I started listening to exactly what they told me to do. I started going to the events that I normally would never go to. I started stretching because I realized that I needed to do things that I was not doing in order to create the results that I truly wanted. So it's so, so important. If you want to be a good speaker, you want to shoot powerful videos, you do it every day.
If you do something every day, you'll either become a porn star or you'll become really good at that skill set. And that's just a little hippie Jedi humor for you. That's just when I say do it, I always think of sex with my wife.
I love my wife so much. But nonetheless, these pages just rock. I love these team hangouts. And another reason these are so powerful: we give our team copy — one of the team leaders, myself, and maybe Adam Whiting, and maybe Mike Hobbs, and maybe one of the new teammates who recently had a breakthrough. And I've read one of their blogs, and their copy touched my heart.
And I say, you know what, Jen, create me the copy for tonight's hangout because you can do it, brother. You're gifted, and I believe in you. And he created the copy, and we sent the copy out to our team, and we gave everyone on our team that copy so they can send it out to their prospects and invite people. And that's what I'm going to be talking about right now, how to get people to your hangout. Creating a hangout: super easy.
I'm not going to cover the technical stuff, because you can go to Google or go to YouTube and type in "how to create a Google hangout." Learn how to do that in five minutes, one of the easiest things you can ever do. But more importantly, let me talk about how to get people to the event, because you all know: the more live prospects you bring to the event that you personally invite and that your team personally invites, the more duplication, the more sales, the more success, and the more badassery that you're going to receive. So let me get off of this page and go to Facebook, because what I'm teaching you to do tonight, I actually do that, and that's why I get profound results. So what I'm going to do is click on events.
Robert Mercado did one, helped us on one of our team webinars, because we like reaching out to other leaders that are getting extraordinary results, because we don't have all the answers. We're students. All the leaders here, we're students, right? So anyways, he taught us how to create an event and how to get a lot of people to that event. And again, I'm not going to get into the physical how-to of the easiness, but I'm going to let you know the method and procedure so that you can start applying it and understanding how it works.
Thank you. So, I like putting things on autoplay if it's the first thing on the page. If I have a lot of text, I'm obviously not going to put it on autoplay because it'd probably be annoying if they were trying to read it. But I shot this one-minute video of Nicole Cooper in Austin, Texas, and Nicole, she's just so awesome. I have nothing but love and respect for her because her story is so powerful, and she has a story that I don't have because she's a mother and I'm not a mother, obviously, thank God, right? But she's a mother to two and she has a husband and she does this family thing, so she can connect with people that I personally can never connect with. I don't connect as well with mommies because I don't have any children yet, but I know Nicole, maybe not on my team, but I respect her, and I said, you know, if I can shoot a video with you or hang out with you and share this to my list, I can tap into that audience that I personally can't tap into. So there's a little gold nugget, and that's why we get to these events.
My first event, I said, I'm going to shoot 50 videos. I shot 50 videos at this event. I said, I'm going to shoot as many damn videos as I possibly can. I just want to show you my folder for videos here, and I don't know how many are here, but I counted not too long ago, it was over 300, so I shot over 300 freaking videos at the event because I treat my business like a million dollar damn business, because it is a million dollar business. So I'm going to make seven figures this year in Empower Network without a shadow of a doubt. That's a big deal. But I'm going to shoot one video at a time, so I don't have to deal with the amazing number of people on this stage. I don't know how many people are watching this right now. I just want to show it to you guys, that I'm going to shoot 50 videos at a time. So if I can shoot the video, I take videos with all the leaders and I utilize that time so I can build my business and use that as a marketing opportunity to not only make friends and network with badasses, so I knew who I was. Why? I shot a video with as many people that allowed me to shoot a video, because I believe if you're not a superhero, because you don't truly believe in yourself, all you have to do is surround yourself around other superheroes, and all of a sudden your prospects perceive you as that badass superhero guy that's not to be effed with, my friend.
And so shoot as many videos as possible. You know what I mean? So I just wanted to show you that, because I tell people to do it and they probably don't believe me. And a lot of people, they went to the event, they shot a dozen videos. I think a dozen's great, but I think you can do better in Chicago.
So how many of you are going to shoot over a hundred videos in Chicago? Raise your hand if you're going to shoot over a hundred videos and you already made that decision because you're a badass and you want to be on stage and you want to be living to your full potential. And you said, fuck the bullshit, I'm just going to get money starting right now, because I'm worth it. My family's worth it.
And I'm special. And my family's special. I don't care what obstacle comes in my way. I will dropkick that obstacle to the moon. I don't care.
I'm going to do whatever it takes. And I'm going to shoot as many videos as humanly possible. So I'm just going to see who's raising their hand here. Wow. A lot of you.
Erica, Eric, Garth, Hugo. Anyone hear the conviction and passion in my voice since Austin? Do you notice a little different? I speak a little differently. My belief level's a little higher than what it used to be.
Do you notice that? Raise your hand. It's incredible. Jimmy, Leo Kao, Joseph Moussa, Josh Gussene, Josh Escobar. Pablo Escobar's little brother.
It's actually kind of cool. I live in Medellin, Colombia. It's famous for Pablo Escobar, and they actually have one of the mansions from the family not too far from where we live. There's lots to see, lots to do. So next time we host a podcast, we'll make sure we get to one of these locations.
When I think of Pablo Escobar, I just think about making some gangster money, but doing it in an ethical way to uplift humanity, instead of hurt others. Nicky Spence, you're all raising your hands, I do appreciate that. So make a commitment right now: I am going to shoot over 100 videos in Chicago, and there's no doubt in my mind I'm going to be at that event. I don't care what circumstances come in my life, because it's utter bullshit if it's taking me away from my dreams, if it's taking me any further from my vision. So anyways, back to the blog post. I post the video, call to action. This is kind of a tricky little cool call to action, because notice it says, "lock arms with me right here for only 25," or "click on the sexy yellow button below to get started." It's a double — doesn't matter what option they choose, it both leads them to my join now page, right here. So I don't care which option they do, but I love calls to action, and you'll notice a lot of people who are doing calls to action in my posts. But anyways, here's what I did: our team put together these action assignments and we created some copy, and I just want to give you an idea, so when you're setting up an event for your team, you can be prepared and help them as much as possible, because creating copy is a skill set, and the brand new teammate is not going to be that good at that unless they're just naturally gifted at writing. It's a skill set I've been working on for six years, to be able to create compelling emails within five minutes that get people to buy. But in the beginning, for the first few years, I sucked at it. You know what made me really good in Empower Network? Reading Dave and Dave's emails. I think Dave Wood and Dave Sharp are some of the most badass copywriters, I think Aaron Rashkin's one of the most badass copywriters. So, blinders on, I read their shit every day and I delete everyone else in my inbox. I don't care what you're sharing with me, if you don't have the results that I want in my business, I'm not listening to you, and I recommend you do the same thing and ask yourself, who am I following? But we create a little video teaching them how to make an event, and again, this is technical stuff that you can find out how to do in minutes, so we're not going to cover that here. We give them the event copy so when they create the event on Facebook, they can just copy paste and add their username to the end of the link. And I probably get a lot of questions like, how the hell do I create those S1 variable techie pages so that my team can use it? Personally, I have no freaking idea. I just network with badass teammates that know how to do that so I don't have to learn how to do that, and we do that on a weekly basis with the team, and it really helps us reach our target audience. So every page that we do, we have a free copy, and then after that we have the event copy. That's the basic gist of the program. He had a massive breakthrough in Austin, Texas. He's a totally different being, and I'm just so proud of him for making big things happen here. And this is what it says.
Go here. This is, I guess, the body actually for the event, which you would paste into Facebook. So basically super simple stuff. You create, you go to the events, you hit create an event, and there's a few options that say title, body, and picture. And again, that's technical stuff that you can actually figure out on your own or just Google.
But nonetheless, this is what the message says. Go here at 7 Eastern on January 31st to learn the secrets. And then we put a link right below the first line when we do an event and we're inviting people, because we want people to see it. And let me just go to the event and show you my event that I created just to show you that this shit actually works. And it's so badass.
You're going to love this. A lot of people creating events. But right here, this is the one I created. It says you hosted it. And I like to put the times on the events.
I just model after Dave and Dave. How many damn live events have I been to with Dave and Dave? My first hangout was with Dave and Dave. I never used to do this live stuff. And that's part of the reason I never had massive breakthroughs in my business previous to Empower Network.
But nonetheless, you see the copy here. Notice the link is right after the first sentence so people can click on it. If you bury your link at the bottom, that's not any good, because a lot of people aren't going to click on it. You know what I mean? They have to actually do an extra click on it.
They have to actually do an extra step to see that. But here, I'm just going to read it. Go here at 7 Eastern, January 31st.
Learn the secrets, link. If you have seen the most epic hangout in history of 2012 that had over 1,700 views, its first night live with a panel full of top badass leaders making over 20, 30, even 100K a month discussing how to manifest income from thin air, well, that video is no longer available to watch. That was basically an old hangout we did, right? The good news is, the most epic hangout in history of 2012 part two is January 31st, right here live at 7 PM Eastern, link. And if you go there between now and then, you can actually watch the replay from the previous week, and it actually updates at that time.
So it's just letting them know that if they get there early, they can watch last week's, which is actually another good idea you may want to take a note on. And then it says, at 7 PM Eastern, just refresh this page and join us live for the most epic hangout part two, another link, call to action, call to action. I love calls to action. You do not want to miss it. Why?
If you thought the last hangout was epic, you haven't seen nothing yet. You notice a little Dave Wood coming through in the speech there, that he's channeling this information from. It's so badass on this hangout. We'll be walking you through a process that will help you finally figure out what you really want in life. It's one thing teaching a process that you can read in books like "Think and Grow Rich," or listening to audios about manifestation.
But it's another thing to realize your dreams, to realize your greater purpose here on earth, to find the path, to realize your greater passion that you are desperately looking for in life, to feel alive, to have something to believe in, to belong, and to know that you have left a footprint on humanity, to have your own legacy and to have no regrets in life because of your accomplishments. Another link, another call to action. The following hangout just isn't about inspiration.
It's not a motivational one. You'll become uncomfortable. You will not like the things we say, but you know what? Sometimes you just need someone to tell you how it is. Sometimes you just need someone to light the fire in you and not take any wussy excuses.
There will be exercises you will leave this hangout with, a plan of action. Our intention is to help you break through. Notice, we actually shared our intention in the copy for the event, for the hangout. I think that's important. You do not want to miss this hangout.
Another call to action, and it just keeps going. Be there, because like the last one, we don't know how long we're going to keep it up for. Create that scarcity, right? It doesn't matter if you're in a business or not. It's 2013, the start of the new golden age.
Let's get our act together and finally do something meaningful for a change. Lock arms with me right here and let's run together side by side. I'll see you there. And I just put a link to one of these cool things that I did a little recently, a video to build a little more rapport with people on my Facebook. But just to show you, 74 people confirmed they're going.
I just did this tonight. We did it at seven o'clock. And the reason we ended at nine: because we don't want to go over the 15K per month formula training, just like I shared with you a little earlier in the notes section, you never want to run a live event during an Empower Network event. So if there's a 15K per month formula webinar and you happen to be scheduled at nine o'clock, cancel it, change the time.
And if you're actually doing a hangout at the same time that Dave and Dave decide last minute to do a hangout, I will cancel our team hangout because I think their hangout's more important. But I also want to provide value so people can connect with us and our team. So that's the reason that we do this. So tonight we ran the hangout from 7 PM to 9 PM. And so back to the assignment.
So we give the team, our teammates, the copy that they need. They can copy paste it. They create the hangout. They just paste it. They add their ID to the end, and then they just invite their friends, and inviting friends is super easy.
Again, I don't want to go into technical stuff, because there's a lot of technical stuff. So I'm going to go ahead and skip that. There's really no purpose covering it on this call, but you can invite all your friends. If you have 500 or a thousand friends, or even thousands of friends, invite them all. Look, I got 74 people to go and I created the hangout invite for the event actually today, this afternoon, and 74 people confirmed.
I got eight maybes. And as you can see, out of all my friends, I invited 4,550 friends total. So here's what you can do. If you really want to get gangster with it, you can follow up with the people that went to the event, or at least said they were going and confirmed after the event, and just connect with them. But here's the thing.
The event's not about just selling people to get all in. The event's about providing extreme value and using our story to persuade them to take action and do what they feel with their own intuition. That's really the reason that we do a lot of the events. And before we do the event, we set the intention and we let the audience know what the intention is. And the attention's always focused on them and value.
What's in it for them? Not what's in it for me. What's in it for them? You notice Dave Wood's goal, he doesn't mention how much money he wants to make.
He mentions how much money he wants his damn leaders to make. So we need to follow by example and do exactly what they teach us to do. Using these events is a great way to get people to your hangout from Facebook. And even if you're brand new to Facebook and you don't have a following, start adding people to your hangout. Start building your Facebook.
Start treating it serious. These little things you should be doing every day, you should be doing every day. You should be sharing your website with as many people as humanly possible every day. If you can do that every day, eventually you get really good at it to the point where I'm at, where I'm generating over 100 leads a day, many times over 200 leads. And that's before I blog.
Because I apply these principles. I become very good at these principles. I can outsource these principles. I can automate these principles. But it's the principle that's important.
It's the principles that are the key to your success. So that's how we share our information with our team. We give them the event copy, and we also give them an email swipe copy. And I'll just pull up one of mine that I sent out a little earlier. Live tonight, the most epic.
And it's also on this assignment thing. There's like a link probably they can click on, or it's right below. And notice it says this is for the email copy. And it's very similar, but it's just kind of positioned a little different. We don't have as many links.
We don't have as many links in the very beginning. We kind of just lead off with value and then get into the links a little later. But I'll show you kind of what it looked like. I'm going to click on this.
I sent it out a little earlier today. An actual email inviting them to the hangout. And it's basically just rewritten the same exact thing I just read to you. But I like to add pictures, because people are click happy. I learned this from Aaron Rashkin, Tony Rush, teaching those fabulous webinars on how to create compelling copy and writing emails and being graceful enough to add them to your email.
So I'm going to actually share behind the scenes, in their back office, how they do things. People are click happy. So I like to include images. I get that from Dave and Dave. They include a lot of images.
And I just study what they do, and I just replicate that. Something else that I do, I believe Aaron Rashkin touched upon, I actually got this from Aaron, and I promised to share some of the secrets of the universe that Aaron shared with me because I had the privilege of hanging out with him.
Something I started doing after hanging out with Aaron: I started including a picture in every email in my signature. Every email that I see from Aaron Rashkin — and he has the highest open rates and click-through rates that I know of, so that's the reason I'm on his list — he has a picture. So he gets really good conversions because he's building that relationship, and people are attracted to people.
So what I like to do is brand myself right in my signature where they can click on it and they can join me. I've just been doing that recently. I think it's pretty badass. So what I like to do is hyperlink my picture, and lead that to my Join Now page in my signature, and build that relationship.
Every email is like a different photo. I don't use the same one photo for everything, but many leaders do. And some of these leaders make bank, way more money than I make. And I see the same picture in every email. So it's not important to have a million pictures, but I think the important part is if you can take some time to personalize your list and put a little effort into it and add your personality, add your videos, add your story, add your picture, you're going to get unusually high conversions, which we all want, hence the reason you should be doing it.
And then I just like to do some cool P.S.'s. But basically, we give our team, and that's why we get 600, 700 people on a live hangout, live, because we give our team the copy, because we learn from Dave and Dave. And when Dave has something live, they always send us copy. And we just leverage off the copy because we understand that's a hard skill set. It takes years to become a good copywriter.
And you all have the ability to just tap into that. And so now the next question, you're probably thinking, crap, I got to do these live hangouts. Well, number one, you don't got to do a damn thing. You know what I mean?
But if you care about your success, just start doing it. Just stop going against the grain. Stop going against everything we're telling you. And just empty the cup and just start listening and start doing it.
Even if you're not good at it, it don't matter. You can become an expert in front of a camera. So make certain that every time you speak in front of a camera, you're doing it right. Make sure the camera is on, make sure you're confident, make sure you're putting in the reps, doing it over and over, practicing until it's natural. This is going to help you to achieve your goals.
You can change the way you do things. Less than 90 days from now, you will be a confident speaker that can speak life into people. That's the power of doing something every day, getting better and better, showing, proving, and getting better and better. Do you know my first blog post with Empower Network? It would take me five, six hours to write a blog post. You know what I mean?
But then I started doing it over and over and over, and then it got to the point, a blog is freaking easy. I can do a speed blog in five minutes. I can put my heart into a blog post in 15 minutes and make people cry and take action by the time they're done reading that post. Why? Because I invest a little bit of my time every day into doing the eight core commitments.
I read daily. I listen to Inner Circle audios daily. I read Dave and Dave's emails over and over again. I watch their live streams over and over again. How many people think that live stream that Dave Wood just did in Costa Rica is probably — sorry, a little ADD, I'm taking it back a few months ago —
anybody think that live stream is a good idea? Sorry, I'm taking that back a few months ago. Last live stream that they did, they were actually in Florida at the home office. It was Dave Sharp and Dave Wood. I think that was the most hypnotic, badass live stream I've seen in my life.
I've already watched it three or four times, I can't remember. I am a hippie, after all. But I'm going to continue watching it and watching it. I started picking up on some of the things they're doing with their hands, the way they're hypnotizing us, and we don't even know it.
I just watch it over and over. I start repeating. I start to do their hand movements over and over and over, and that's why I have the confidence I have. That's why I was able to speak on stage in front of a large group for the first time in my life and get a standing ovation and have hundreds of people come up to me during that week and say I changed their life. Now they believe in themselves.
That's the power of doing something every day. Don't underestimate your eight core commitments, my friends. Anyways, I'm a little ADD, so I'm going all over the board. Back to the Nicole post. I like to upsell the 15K per month formula.
This is a little bonus. You can take a note down here, but I realized that I wasn't emailing my list a lot before I started blogging every day. You know what I mean? I wasn't emailing the teammates, I should say, a lot. I was emailing the prospects because I knew that was important.
It's important to email your list every day. By a show of hands, how many people actually email their list every day? I do pretty much every single day. How many of you also do the same? Franco Gonzalez, no doubt, brother.
Frank Balke, Jeremy and Miranda Six or Sykes, Jeff Clark, Jeff Bruchel. We have so many people, but I also see a lot of people not emailing their list every day. Do you know, when I started emailing my list every day, I went from a sale every other day to two sales a day without doing any additional work, just from emailing my list every day. Here's the thing. I was neglecting my teammates.
Don't you think it's a lot easier to make a sale from a personally sponsored teammate that already bought from you than it is to get a new sale? I think so. When Dave and Dave do these sorts of badass 15K webinars every Thursday night, I tell my team in the email to upgrade to the 15K per month formula, so that my message is concise with the Dave's, and that if you ask for it, you can get it. You know what I mean? What would I put here?
I don't know, I'm probably on the wrong email, but nonetheless, I think that's important as well. Let's close some of these things out here. Sometimes I open up so many windows and I totally forget what screen I was on. I'd like to help upsell the 15K. So I tell them, if you don't already own the 15K per month formula, then go ahead and click here to upgrade right now.
The sole purpose of the 15K per month formula is — this product alone is easily worth at least $10,000. Easy. And I kind of go on and on there, but I email my team every day. Do you know there's a team emailer in your back office?
You can actually go to tools, and let me just share with you where that is for those that probably don't know. You click on my tools and it'll probably log me out because I took too long here. It's all good. And just by show of hands, if you're getting a lot of value out of tonight's training, just raise your hand so I know I'm providing value tonight, because that's important to me. If you're getting a lot of value out of tonight's training — Aaron Cahoon, I appreciate you brother, Anna Marie, Ann Smith, Ann Sternbach, Chris Sanders, Chris Schultz, what's up brother, Cinda Justice — most of the hands are up right now.
So I just want to say I appreciate you and I'll keep going because of that. There's the Empower Hour automatically playing. But when you go to your back office, you log in, you click on my tools, you click on email team, and you can send your team an email. I send my team an email every day, Monday through Friday. And just, this is simple stuff, but just to show you real briefly, you can choose the membership level.
If you want to email everybody on your team, choose the EN basic membership, put in your subject, put in your message. If you want to refer to people by their username or first name, I like to use the first name a lot, like, hey, first name. And that way they know it's directed towards them. You can drastically increase your lifetime value per customer just by emailing your team every day, providing them value. What do I like to do?
I like to share success stories, because I know stories motivate people. That's more realistic than, you know, "meet my story." Now it's kind of crazy.
It's kind of like I become a god, and it's not relatable to people anymore. And I'm not saying that I am a god, but I do believe we're God's children, so therefore I am. Perceive that how you want to perceive it, but I am. But what you can do, my friends, is just do exactly what I'm sharing with you. People relate to people.
So pretty much every day I'm sharing a story. If it's not my story, I leverage off the success stories of the leadership in the company. When I joined, I started every day after Atlanta, or after the Inner Circle audio that we did that's live, and anybody can actually get that in the back office under the Inner Circle. Once I actually started to do that, my sales started converting through the roof. And I realized that you want to teach people, or share with people, a story that's going to relate to them.
And we all have our own unique story. Your story is better than my story because it's unique to you. And if you share your story and stop trying to be like Dave and Aaron and all the badasses, you're going to be a badass. And if you're going to keep going and be yourself and speak from your heart, people are going to connect with you. There is an art to shooting videos and calls to action, and I might touch upon that a little later in this training, a few hours from now.
But in the meantime, just note, you can leverage off the success of the leadership in the company. And I'm going to actually write that down here: you can leverage off the success of the leadership in the company. And like I said, when I talk to my co-workers, they have to be the ones that decide for me to make the changes in my life. I first got started and took this serious and truly got all in after Atlanta. That's when I started sharing blog post after blog post, videos with leaders at the event.
I was in the videos. There's something magical about your prospect seeing you in the video. It's cool to use my videos. You can use my swipes. You can use Dave and Dave's swipes.
You can use Aaron's swipes. You can use Tony's swipes and Tracy's swipes. Anybody's swipes. It's all good, but something magical happens when you're in the video with the leader, and automatically you're a badass because you're hanging around badasses. All of a sudden, you go from newbie, don't know shit in the industry, to a damn superhero, and people are dying to join you because you spoke with David Wood.
You spoke with David Sharp. You spoke with Aaron or Sophia Rashkin. You spoke with Ashley Needles. You spoke with Dee Varengia. You spoke with Mike Hobbs or Matt Conner or Ben or Adam Whiting.
You spoke with George Breyer. You spoke with Jim. You spoke with David. You spoke with Ben Hua.
You surround yourself around leaders. You're instantly perceived as a leader. This is a magical trick to getting conversions that I cannot stress enough. I just wanted to put that note here. You can leverage off the success of the leadership in the company, because that's probably the biggest thing people will say.
Your story is great. You make millions of dollars doing nothing, sitting on top of a mountain like a Buddha. Then, well, the truth is, nine months ago I struggled probably a lot harder than you struggled, but I did what I was told to do. That shit really works. What Dave and Dave teach is the truth.
That's why we're all here right now. We recognize the truth. We recognize our own intuition. We follow that intuition the same way I followed it nine months ago, once I started to put down the ego and pick up the paycheck type of deal. That's the importance of these videos.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I do video daily because most people never do video. I think that's a little crazy, but you know what, I get crazy conversions. I get a lot of sales. I get a lot of people wanting to join my team.
I get a lot of people following me and hunting me down for my phone number. Here's another gold nugget that I actually learned from Rashkin. I used to put my phone number on every email. It was actually in everything I did, every blog post. Believe it or not, go figure, I was on the phone and I was a slave all day.
One of the gold nuggets that Aaron Rashkin shared with me, he said, Justin, you got to stop making it so easy. It's so easy for people to call you. You're wasting your time.
You don't want to spend that much time on the phone. You need to listen to Dave and listen to me when I tell you this. I got that right out of his house when I learned it. I took my phone number out of my email. I took my phone number out of my blog posts.
I make it hard for people to contact me. You may want to do the same thing if you want to have the same positioning. I'm not going to listen to somebody's story on the phone for an hour. Then I'll coach you. Then I'll talk to you, because I don't want to coach people that aren't going to listen to what I say.
I feel Dave when he says this, because everyone goes up to Dave Wood and Dave Sharp and says, coach me. Are you coachable? You know what I mean? A lot of times, we're not willing to do what it takes. If we're not willing to do that, we're not worthy of their time.
Why should Aaron Rashkin spend his time with a newbie at the $25 level who doesn't believe in themselves enough to upgrade and listen to what Aaron's trying to teach them, because Aaron has created multiple seven figures in the industry and he cares about his team? Some people won't see that. They won't understand that. They'll be shooting themselves in the foot when they join us.
When we tell you to do something, there's a divine reason for everything we tell you to do. Every single core commitment is just as important as the next. Let me get back to sharing, because that's really important. You create this badass hangout. You want to share it.
You already know never to do a hangout during the time of an official Empower Network thing, because it's always more important to do that. Schedule it around it. Here's something else I do. I'll go to Facebook real quick. Actually, let's see this blog post.
Let me go to something real quick. I have notes for a lot of things. This is my Facebook posting notes here. I just wanted to grab a link from Social Media Bar so you can actually see that it's not hard to get people to like and share and comment on your blog post with some of the techniques that I'm sharing, which can also be applied for your live hangout. I just covered with you how to create the event, now I want to cover — let me see where the heck I am here, I think it's up here, okay, here we go. And I'm just going to grab one of these links right here, and this is actually from a blog post I did today. I didn't even get the time to share it everywhere, but I shared it in about 75 groups, and by the way, at this time — and this can change, and I don't want to get into anything technical — but at this very time, Facebook allows you to add about 300 groups, and I've already done a Facebook training module on how to use Facebook groups, and you can actually watch that, it's in the 15K per month formula training. But I just want to show you something real quick, because all we do is create the event so I'll get a lot of my Facebook friends invited to that event so they can see what this is all about, but I also like to promote inside of groups. And this post — the reason I brought this up was to show you, 88 people liked this. How'd I get 88 people to like it? All I did was actually two things: I emailed it to my team, which probably got me about 20 likes, maybe 10 likes, and then I used Facebook groups to get the other likes. And when people like things, it also can show up on their Facebook as well, and you can get basically free syndication. So I belong to 300 groups, and by the way, you don't need to join 300 groups, it's a little overboard, but I like to find out the limitations amongst things. And I don't stress anybody, just start going crazy doing this technique, because there's rules and procedures you want to follow that I specifically covered in the other training, where you don't want to post too fast, you don't want to be spammy, and there's certain things you want to be cautious of in order to have success at this technique. But nonetheless, you can go back to that 15K per month formula training, join as many groups as you possibly can, and I do give you ideas on how to join more groups. And then what you do is you basically click on the group and then you share your hangout copy, and it doesn't have to be the event copy, but something short and sweet, you know what I mean, and you just share that there with the link. And what I do is, when I do a blog post like I did this blog post, maybe it'll say something like this, just to give you an idea, I'll copy paste the title, "super mommy makes X amount of money," and then I'll take the link from the Social Media Bar here, and if you're posting on Facebook at this time you want to use Social Media Bar, here we go, and then I just hit post, and bada boom bada bing, it's a hippie Jedi thing. As you can see here, there's 5,741 members, my post just went to the top of this group, and I can guarantee you most of these members are probably inactive and they never post, it's probably the same 50, 20 people posting all the time, but there's a lot of watchers in these groups, and if you can post good content in related groups that are full of value, you can really promote anything. That's how I promote my blog posts, and that's how I got — I only shared it in groups for about 20 minutes today, just sharing it in Facebook groups. I got 88 people to like this.
And some of my posts that I shared with all 300 groups over the course of the day, I can easily get 300 people to like this. So one of my goals is, how many people can I get to like my post today? And also you want to try to get some interaction and get some comments. This post only has one comment because I don't really tell people specifically they need to post, and people tend to do what you tell them to do. But let me go to another post real quick.
I'm going to go back here just real quick. So I just want to show you. Yeah, absolutely. Great, great stuff. I'm just sitting here looking at your information and I'm like, man, there's so many more things that I could personally be doing in my business as well.
And you know, this is how it's been for the first 10 modules in this remake of the 15K webinar, for me. And I can see on Facebook, I can see the comments going on, just a tremendous amount of value that you deliver in here tonight, man, you're downloading this stuff. This is the kind of training that you didn't see in the first version of the 15K formula, which is why, you know, we have all these new superstars and all these top earners that are just within the last six months. If you think about it, almost everybody that trained in the 15K formula in the remake here is within the last six months. They just came up out of nowhere, except for just a couple or a few of us, but there've been about four or five, maybe even six people who've been sharing their information.
And Justin, this is the most cutting edge and current and up-to-date information. I see you market every single day. I'm on your list as well. And I know you got a lot from me when you came to our house here several months ago. But I get a tremendous amount of value in education and information and marketing ideas and breakthroughs from the work that you're doing here as well, my friend.
So you're killing it. Just can't say enough about what you're showing. I will say this: a lot of people don't even realize this, Justin, but what you just showed on Facebook and how you add yourself to groups, gang, you may not have thousands of leads.
But Facebook, any social media really, when you learn how to use it and add friends and get fans and followers, when you get people to take a look at you by adding them as a friend and then providing valuable information, it's a free list. It's a free list. It doesn't cost one penny to do what Justin's done here and what he's showing you to do. And I've been telling my team, if you don't have 5,000 friends, you know, on your normal Facebook profile, I'm not talking about fans.
I'm talking about friends. If you don't have 5,000 friends, you're not maxed out with your Facebook account. You're blowing it, because every time you post on Facebook, you could be reaching hundreds and thousands of people with your message, and using Social Media Bar, posting at your EN blog every single day, creating valuable content videos. I tell my team, Justin, all the time, you don't just have to write at your blog. If you watch what Chris Record taught in the 15K formula, I think it was module number one or two or three.
It was one of Chris's modules. I don't remember if it was his first or second one, but he talked about trending videos, finding the most popular videos that are playing on YouTube, and there's sites that actually have embed code for trending videos. You can literally write a few sentences about a trending video or some news that's taking place that you can find all over the internet. And because you're blogging on the network domain, because you're on an authority website that's in the top 250 most trafficked websites in the United States, and I believe we're in the top 500 or less most trafficked websites in the world, in just 14 months, one of the largest publishing platforms ever.
Well, certainly in the industry, or on the internet, one of the largest publishing platforms — but we are the largest publishing platform, as a network, and a group of home business entrepreneurs and affiliate marketers, in the profession. I mean, there's nothing out there that has the strength and the power of Empower Network's domain name and its brand. And so you have got to really take what Justin's showing you right here and run with it.
And I don't mean, you know, planning out weeks and months worth of videos. We're talking about getting your first video online in the next 24 hours. I guarantee you, if you get your first video, if you haven't done one yet, online in the next 24 hours, I bet you, you'll realize how simple it really is to do and how effective it is in your business. It will be the catalyst for you to do another one. In other words, the way to get one done in 48 hours is to get one done in 24 hours.
And if you just do it one day at a time, you focus on doing one project, one marketing piece, whether it's a video or a blog post, or maybe you're doing a little bit of copy, maybe you're sending out links to things that you can post at your blog. You get into that in the next 24 hours, this time tomorrow night by Friday evening, have your very first blog post published. If you haven't done it yet, if you haven't done a video, create a video. Literally, you could do that on your computer if you have a camera on your computer.
You could take an iPad or an iPhone or a smartphone that has a video player and literally just look into the camera for 30 seconds. Know what you're going to say when you start, know what you're going to say when you finish, and have just a few minor points in between that you want to cover. So again, in the opening, you want to make sure you know exactly what you're going to say to open. You want to know exactly what you're going to tell them in the end as a call to action.
Whether it's click on the link, go back to my website, go to this domain name, which should point to your join page, or perhaps even your landing page or your lead capture page. If you're generating raw traffic — lead traffic is what I'm referring to — so it depends on who you're marketing to. Is it the outside world, the outside leads that haven't yet opted into your lead capture page, or is it an inside lead, somebody who's already opted in and they're taking a look, but they haven't seen enough email from you yet.
Maybe they haven't heard enough from you yet. They haven't seen you on video yet. They haven't seen a photo of you yet. The more people see your face, the more people see your smiling face, the more people see who you are.
It doesn't matter whether you're short or tall, slim or overweight, or if you're black or white or yellow or red, it doesn't matter what you look like. What matters is that you show people who you are, your authentic self. You give them a chance to really get to know, like, and trust you. And the more often you're in front of your prospect, they say that the best time spent is that time in front of your prospects. So use this information, gang.
It's called speed of implementation. It's the number one quality of the top earners in this business, in our industry, in the world. People who are successful implement what's called speed of implementation. They apply it. That will create some momentum.
That is the catalyst for the next day's activity, but you got to start on day one. You can't get to day two without day one. So in the next 24 hours, create a video, upload it to your Empower Network blog, use SocialMediaBar.com, start adding friends, do some research in the search bar at the top of Facebook and look up network marketers, look up home business professionals, multi-level marketers, affiliate marketers, internet marketers, people that are in any kind of sales position. Look for people that would be in the market for what we do.
Look for people that are really looking for a solution to what their own problems are. And because we know we have the solution, we know that we have the right products and the right compensation and the right tools, the right funnel, the right system, the right training and the right support and leadership. When you truly believe that, and you're not afraid or ashamed to let people know that you have the solution and you present yourself in photos and videos, there's no reason why anybody here, Justin, listening to my voice right now, couldn't reach whatever level of success that they're looking for in the next 90 days. And if you truly have intentions on becoming one of the top earners in this company and reaching your income goal — forget about the top earner, let's just say your goal, whatever your goal is, to make an extra thousand, 3,000, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50, 100,000 or more — no matter what your goal is, if you have a goal, if you have a vision, if you have a little bit of belief, you cannot miss being in Chicago with us on April 19th.
Because if you take your business seriously, you're going to be taken seriously. And I know, Justin, you covered this earlier, you will be at that event because the biggest commitments are made at events. The leaders are born at events. And that's exactly what's going to fuel your belief so that you are here long enough to develop the skills that it requires for you to take your life to that income level that you've always been wanting. So Justin, I just can't tell you how much I appreciate what you shared tonight.
I'm going to pass it back over to you to keep going. And maybe you can share a little bit more about what's on your mind, what you're getting right now, and then maybe take us home and wrap it up. Absolutely.
Not too long ago, there weren't Google Hangouts and you had to use GoToMeeting or you had to get software. And a lot of times it's not cheap. But here's the cool thing: technology advances and now there's Google Hangout and it doesn't cost a dime. It is absolutely free to do. So there's no monetary investment in order to apply what we're teaching you to do here tonight.
And there are also other communities that are free. I just happen to be using Google Hangout and I think it's pretty cool. I just love the atmosphere and I love the hangouts, and people love watching the hangouts. And sometimes our hangouts are four hours, because four hours is the cutoff point. And the funny thing is there'll be comments where they're like, this is my fourth time watching it.
Four hours, that's like the Godfather trilogy right there. Like that's crazy. But people love the content when you're sharing from the heart.
And there are other communities too, like I think it's Ustream, but it may not be free. There's BlogTV, it may not be free. So I just like to use, personally, Google Hangout, but I'm sure there's plenty of other services that you can use as well.
The cool thing is it's free. It doesn't cost a dime. And the same thing with video marketing and getting good conversions has nothing to do with spending a lot of money. Getting good conversions is investing into your business and into yourself and being willing to step up and do the necessary things to get the good conversions, which we teach you. Blog daily, do your eight core commitments, email your list daily, do a live event every week so you can become a good talker.
And that's like one of the intentions for tonight's webinar, basically how to become a powerful communicator, because communication is one of the most valuable skill sets that you can learn.
It's about communicating and sharing your story. So why not invest into it? Something that I decided to invest into because Dave and Dave were willing to invest into us.
For those that don't know, all the top leaders in Empower Network, we went to a speaker's training and we actually had a hypnotist and NLP trainer teach us. And Dave invested a lot of money to bring us all out there, fly us out there early, pay for the hotels, pay for the training, pay for the venue, pay for the food, everything. Of course it's first class, just super badass. I don't know how much they invested into us, but because of that, I said, you know what?
I need to really step it up. I need to practice what I'm being taught at the speaker training and practice it every day. I need to shoot a video every day so I can become better and better because people are relying on me. People need to hear my message, and that's like the mentality that I have. And it's so damn true for you listening to this webinar, watching this webinar right now. The same exact thing.
You start with where you're at. You don't need to compare yourself to people who are at different levels than you, because that's just stupid to do. Honestly, compare yourself to yourself. Set a target. Know what you want.
Get your first result. Create a testimonial on getting your first result. Something I like to do, Aaron, is I tell my teammates, when you have your first victory, your first $25 sale, your first Inner Circle sale, your first $500 day, your first $1,000, $5,000 day, create a video. As soon as you've got that information and you see that sale in your inbox, shoot a video and share that passion with the world. Previous company I was in, my sponsor here in Empower Network, I remember he shared his story, and it was his story that I believe made him so damn successful.
That story, it was everything. And it's because he was willing to shoot the video when he got the check in the mail. He made his first big check. He didn't even expect it to be the number it was. He got that,
he shot a video off of pure heart and pure passion and soul. And that video, I don't know how many people saw that video, but it built a huge business for my sponsor here at Empower Network, at this previous company, because he was willing to do that at the moment that he was inspired. And I talk about this a lot. When you're inspired, share it, and get inspired. Right before your event, there are exercises Dave and Dave share with us where you can actually step into your power.
I believe it's the first training in the 15K per month formula series that most of you probably went through, but some of the visualization skills, and realizing you can imagine a time in your life where you were just on top. That time for me now is being in front of stage, in front of thousands of people just cheering and their hearts pounding and clapping, applauding, standing ovation. I can step into that moment instantly. Just make a decision. I step into it instantly because I practice it every day when I shoot a video.
I'm human. I wake up a little depressed sometimes just because I gotta get up out of bed and like, what am I doing here on earth? I'm human, right? But then all of a sudden I know what I need to do. I broke down what I need to do the night before.
So if it's to shoot a video, it's to shoot a video. And I practice stepping into my power every day on command. And now I can just step into it, I can be depressed, I can be in a bad mood, but then all of a sudden I say, you know what, I'm in control of my emotions and I control the damn universe. And I just step into my power, and you can step into your power the same way I step into my power, right before you shoot a video. Practice daily, that's why we do it daily.
Right before you do the event, create that passion, create that drive. If you showed up in Austin, Texas, all you have to do is remember being in the crowd, and I can guarantee you, your power will instantly manifest. And that's why you get to the events, really. You need that power, you need to be able to access that power at will, because when you can control your emotions, you can control the universe. You know what I mean?
When bad things and obstacles come my way, I sit back and laugh. I look at it as a chess game, I'm like, I don't want to let these fucking forces of evil beat me. I'm going to outthink the forces of evil, I'm going to keep my cool like a Tai Chi master in battle. And I'm just going to flow and I'm just going to do my best and I'm never going to quit. You know what I mean?
I'm going to get rich or die trying, because I believe in what I'm doing here. And I think it's the attitude that is everything. You know what I mean? If you create that belief deep down in your heart, you get to the events, you just follow exactly what we're teaching you to do, because we care about you and we want to see you become successful.
We want to see you share your story on stage. We want your story to be spread to millions of people across the world, because we know for a fact if you can share your story and your struggles and your triumphs with other people, you're going to help impact the world. You're going to help change and raise the world. You're going to help change the vibration of the human species. And so when it's the end of your road, you can say, did I play full out?
Did I do everything I can possibly do in my power to create the lifestyle that I wanted? Did I impact enough people? And I think about these things every day, and that's all the more reason alone for my big reason why and my passion. It's not about me. It's bigger than me.
I identified my big reason why about six years ago. Aaron probably identified his 20 years ago. I think that's a big reason, he's been in the industry for a while. But even though I was never successful, I have always identified my why, and every time I've wanted to quit, I just start to think of my reason here on earth.
And because I understand what that is — it's the impact and help and uplift other people and show people a better way, help them unplug from the matrix — there's no way I can't get done what I need to get done, even if it's subconsciously, because there's something called habits. You do something every day, they say it takes 21 days, 21 days to create a new habit. That's why we blog every day.
We do it for 90 days because we want to triple our chances of success here, right? We do something every day to get good at it, and that's like the key to success. I think that's the key to becoming good at anything in life. I remember times when I first joined Kung Fu and I was a young chap, wet behind the ears, and my teachability index was pretty low back then, and I was pretty discouraged because I couldn't stretch. I was the most inflexible person in the world.
I couldn't stretch. Not only could I not touch my toes, I couldn't even touch my ankles. I had no flexibility, never stretched my entire life. I joined Kung Fu.
I wanted to learn something and I got discouraged right away because I started comparing myself to the senior students that have been in the school for 10 years, and they can jump into the splits and swing all these crazy weaponry, these Chinese weapons, and just look badass, and I couldn't do none of that, and I was almost ready to quit. I was literally about to walk out of class and say, fuck this shit, they got something I don't have. But then I asked one of the senior students, his name is actually Tommy, Small Whirlwind. He's just a dear friend, so I get a little emotional talking about it.
Brings back good times in my life. I loved Kung Fu. Kung Fu made me who I am, because I realized I can control my emotions, and I think that's what Kung Fu is all about: being in control, number one, being able to control a situation. For example, the ultimate form of fighting is not fighting, it's the art of fighting without fighting. And if you watch Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee, he's a great fighter.
He illustrates this example when there's this guy bullying and picking on this guy who's obviously weaker than him, and he's slapping him around, and Bruce Lee notices that, and so they're on this boat, this little junk thing, and there's another little boat tied behind them. He says, let's go on this island right now, you and me, and we'll handle this. And he basically got the guy to go in the boat, and a lot of you remember this, a lot of you probably think I'm crazy, but I'm referencing Enter the Dragon because it's one of the most badass movies I've ever seen and I love Bruce Lee. But nonetheless, Bruce Lee defeats him without fighting because he outthinks him.
And that's like the ultimate, the high levels of fighting is not fighting. If you have the ability to get into a fight, if you can run away and avoid it, it's actually smarter, because you just fought without fighting. I don't know if that makes any sense, but that's the point he illustrates there. And back to the moral of the story, which, to be dead honest with you, I totally forgot where I was going with it. I was like, I'm going to do this, because I started talking about Bruce Lee and Kung Fu. And now there we go.
Thank you, universe, that downloaded right back into my mind here, Kung Fu. So I was going to quit, but I asked my senior student, my buddy Tommy, and he's still a dear friend to me to this day, I said, I'm not where you're at, and it's really not fair, why should I even be here if I'm never going to be able to do what you do. And he looked at me and said something along the lines of, Justin, when I joined 10 years ago — he was the epitome of the opposite of Kung Fu. He could barely touch his ankles.
He was the most inflexible kid or student in the school. He had all the problems I had, but like 10 times worse. And that made me wonder, hmm, so normal people can join Kung Fu and become flexible. He said, Justin, you do something every day, you become really good at it, you start stretching every day and you do your best at it, and you do it for an hour a day and do that every day. Within three months.
That's how much any human being can be able to do the splits if you try your ass off and actually attempt and put some effort into it. And I said, three months, hmm, okay. And so, long story short, I started stretching every day for about two hours, because he told me to do it for an hour and I just wanted it really bad, right? I wanted it really bad. So I start stretching every day, every day. If I was watching TV, I was stretching.
If I was doing homework, I was stretching. About four months gone by and I actually became one of the most flexible students in the entire school. From the most inflexible to, about three, four months later, the most flexible, the most open hips, able to do a full lotus on my head and do all these weird stretches a lot of people can never do. Why?
Because I started to do something every day, because I believed that I was going to get a result if I did it every day, and you can apply that to blogging. You can apply that to your eight core commitments. You can apply that to doing a live event every single week and show, improving and getting a little better and a little better and a little better. Success is not hard. It's creating a daily habit to where it becomes a part of you unconsciously. And what am I talking about?
I've been blogging every day for about six months. Sometimes I go on vacation, I don't blog for a week, but overall I blog Monday through Friday. It's all good. I blog a lot and I subconsciously blog a lot.
It may be 1 AM. I may be tired, about to pass out or go to bed, and I think, and this is subconsciously, because I'm probably thinking about having sex with my wife. My wife is pretty hot. But all of a sudden, subconsciously, my fingers open up my Empower Network back office. I click on login and start blogging, and I subconsciously sometimes create the blog post the same way you subconsciously sometimes drive home from work and you get home and you're like, how the hell did I get here?
That's the power of a daily habit, and why the eight core commitments is the most powerful thing that you can do to become a powerful speaker, be an entrepreneur, and just have massive success and create a thriving lifestyle for you and your family. I could probably just go on for hours, Aaron, but it looks like I've been talking for two hours. I just want to ask everybody in this room on this webinar — we maxed out, by the way, a long time ago. There's 1,001 people here, and that's the max limit — but I have a question.
If we got a lot of value out of tonight, raise your hand. If you think it was worth over $1,000, please raise your hand. We got Aaron Cahoon, I believe it's worth over $1,000.
We have Anthony Arnsalom. We have Apple Daniels, Anthony Medina, Bill Carrier, Bill Shoemaker, Billy Brady, and I can go on and on. I didn't even get past like the first hundred yet, but hundreds and hundreds of you have your hand up. I just want to ask one more question. How many of you honestly believe that the value that I shared tonight is worth $10,000?
You can be truthful. You can take down your hand. I'm not going to get offended even though I can see your name and I'll remember you at the next event. Just playing, guys and gals. Let me know.
I'm just curious, because my intention tonight was to provide as much value as humanly possible. Do you think that tonight's webinar was worth over $10,000? Raise your hand. We got some hands raised. We got Aaron Rosales.
I appreciate you. Thank you. I appreciate that.
You guys are so kind. There's a bunch of questions that we will answer, but I want to keep in mind that it's very important that every week you attend the next 15K per month formula webinar. Next week, of course, it's going to be badass. It's always badass, but it's just super important that you get there and encourage your team to get there. And if your team ain't all in yet, that's all the more reason you have to tell them you need to get all in because you need this education. You can say, Justin just did this badass training with Aaron Rashkin.
It's worth over $10,000 alone, or at least hundreds of people believe that. You have that opportunity. Just get in. Do yourself a favor.
Stop the bleeding. Get in. You need what we have. And if you don't already own the Master's Course, I just want to touch upon that real quick. If you don't own the Master's Course, you're not really all in.
And what did we tell you earlier about belief? If you believe in yourself, you will already be all in, because that's the biggest determining factor to your success. And the people that get all in have faith, and they believe in their success, and they're telling the universe that they believe in it. Do you know how many teammates that I have had on my team, still on my team, they were just at the event, many of them had no money, in a shitty situation, similar to the shitty situation I was in nine months ago, absolutely nothing, and manifested the money out of thin air because they did the exercises that Dave Wood teaches in the 15K per month formula training, on creating money out of thin air, to get the money to get all in and purchase the Master's Course.
It's actually more than triple the income at that same event. I invested about $13,000 in my education to be there, and you have the opportunity. You don't even have to go to Costa Rica. You just pull out your credit card because it feels good to pull that out.
And you can just sign up right now. Upgrade, go to your back office, click on Masters, call your credit card company, get the preauthorization because it is a $3,500 transaction. Start going through that education. Empty your cup. I know that education is the most high-level stuff one can possibly ever get their hands on in this industry.
And that's why it's worth over $10,000. You know, a lot of times, and I actually got this from Aaron Rashkin, I just wanted to share this gold nugget, because since being able to do this in my coaching sessions, my income has gone through the roof. I heard Aaron talking, he was teaching on basically the autoresponder, 15K per month formula training, a few weeks ago. And then he was talking about how he upsells at the end. And one of the things that Aaron does that I think is so great, when you're coaching a new member, I like to ask them, what's your goal?
And I'm going to pull out a calculator. You should still be able to see my screen. Let's pull out a calculator.
And let's say they're at the $1,000, 1625 level. So we'll say divide 30,000, which is your target, divided by 1625. And what number do you see, my friend? And they'll say 18.4. And then I'll be like, why don't you round up because it's kind of cool to round up.
And then they'll say 19. And I'll say, badass. Now let's do some more math. Let's say you were all in because you're serious about your business. And let's divide that by $4,625 in 100% commissions and hit equal.
What do you see? And then it'll be like 6.4. And I'll say, let's round up because it's badass to round up. And then they'll say seven. And I'll say, is it easier to get seven sales or 20-something sales?
And then they just sold themselves right there. They don't really need any other selling at that point, to get people to sell themselves and see the big picture. You really don't have to sell. So I just want to thank Aaron for showing me that technique, because pretty much everybody that I've personally done some coaching with, now at that 1625 level, and I share that with them, and I say, do you think it's easier to get seven sales or 20-something? And they say seven.
And I say, okay, let's get you to that goal. And then they believe it. They see it. They understand what they need to do. And therefore, they're willing to stretch and manifest the money even if they don't have the money.
Some teammates, I had to sell their piano, their most prized possession. Whatever you got to do, just get the money even if you have to borrow it, because using OPM, other people's money, is actually pretty smart. And you can actually pay that back by the time you get your first whatever. And I'm not telling people to do that, but I'm just giving ideas, because I know ideas are very powerful.
And sometimes I can share an idea that sparks a whole different can of Pandora's box, in its own way, shape, or form. So I just wanted to share that. And before you know it, my friends, your prospects will be joining you. Before they join, they say, Justin, I just want to get all in. How do I join all in?
I say, first, you got to get in at the 25. Then we'll get all in. How do I attract people to want to get all in before they even join? Live hangouts. Live things for my list, because I treat my list like family.
And Aaron touched upon it earlier. I treat my Facebook leads and subscribers and likes like family. I look at that as my list. And lists are valuable. So I don't take advantage of that and try to scam or spam people to get their money.
But I honestly try to help them. I learn something every day during an Inner Circle, because I know that's the best way to make me a powerful speaker and presenter. So I listen to Inner Circle every day. I learn something profound every day. So I have valuable information to share.
Even when I'm rambling hours after this 15K training is supposed to be over, I can still be sharing a lot of value because I listen to a lot of education. And you have the ability to create the same lifestyle where you can travel anywhere in the world without having to worry about price restrictions or finances to do something. I asked my wife just recently, and I said, what would you want to do or where would you want to go if you can go anywhere in the world, because we can do that now. And I usually let her choose the location.
And it's really fair to the wife. So she said, carnival's coming up in Haiti, and her family's from Haiti, and I've never been to Haiti and she hasn't been to Haiti. So I said, you know what, we're going to go freaking Haiti. And we're able to do these things just because we want to do them, because I focused, I created a good habit. I created good habits in the beginning, my first 90 days, nothing but good habits, because I treated it like a million dollar business even though I wasn't successful yet, because I had the belief that it was going to work. I invested in myself.
I invested all my money. I invested all my time. I didn't have money to do paid advertising. So I had to make it work.
And I made that decision right there, right then. I don't care what it takes. I'm going to make it happen, because there's too many damn people succeeding in this company for me to believe any otherwise. So I started to think, maybe these people don't really exist. Think about that.
That's not normal, my friends. And this is just the beginning. So I just want to say I appreciate you all. I appreciate you, Aaron. Thank you so much for introducing me and running this call with me.
I learned so much value from you. I just want to thank Dave and Dave for putting together the Empower Network, which is a movement for humanity. It's something so big. I believe this is the future, my friends, and you're a part of it. You're at the right place.
You're at the right time, with the right group of people, with the right mentors who actually care about you and want you to succeed, because we only get where we want to go in life when we can help you get where you want to go. And that's really the purpose of life, is to help other people. And once you can see past yourself and start realizing it's deeper than you, there's six, seven billion people just like you that are just as important as you. So let's learn to help them.
Let's stop saying, how am I going to get to today? I had a breakthrough with Kevin Sousa at one of our masterminds at the event in Austin, Texas, and he says, it's not how am I going to get to today, it's how am I going to help today.
Helping people, if you can help people get what they want. I learned this from Dale Carnegie and "How to Win Friends and Influence People" years ago, and now it all makes sense. If you can help get people what they want, you're always going to get what you want.
So put other people first, follow these trainings, and get your ass to the next 15K per month formula training next week. Get your ass all in because it's that important to your success, and to your family, and to humanity, for you to do that, because there's people waiting to hear your story and hear your breakthrough. And whatever you do, make sure you get your ass to Chicago as well. Just get your ass to everything we do.
Follow your eight core commitments, because if you don't get to Chicago, you're not following them, and your cup is full. I suggest empty your cup and let's just drink pure value. Let's just change the world. I love you all so very much. We can end it on that, Aaron, unless you have anything to add, brother.
Justin, there's nothing else I can add, man. You just tore it up, just amazing value. Just really impressed with what you shared tonight. I think everybody agrees. Your name's all over cyberspace right now.
Your wall is probably blowing up. Gang, go to Justin's wall right now and just let him know what you thought his training was worth. I think 10,000 as a minimum. I'm thinking more like 25, because if people would actually do what you just said, Justin, and actually treat their business like a business instead of like a hobby — hobbies cost you money.
A business can make you lots and lots of money. Think the way Justin just shared. Go out there. Show two people a way for them to change their lives forever. Justin, I just can't say thanks enough, man.
You're just awesome. I'm so glad you called me to get me out here to intro you and jump into a quick, tight spot when Dave and Dave had to turn the webinar over to you tonight. Man, I'll tell you, nobody does it like you, my friend. Thanks so much. Say hi to Dee.
I'll talk to you in the U.S. in a couple days, a few days. Yeah, man. We're going to meet up in Miami. It's going to be so cool.
I appreciate you, brother. Have a great night, everyone. Always remember, we believe in you. Even when you don't believe in yourselves, we're here to lift you up and we appreciate you.
