The Kung Fu Master Who Never Taught David Wood a Single Move

This lesson is part of Lake Las Vegas

David Wood flew a Kung Fu master out to Lake Las Vegas and put him to work backstage for the better part of a day. Not teaching a new strike. Not drilling a form Wood didn’t already know. People walk up to Wood in the hallway at these events all the time with the same kind of question: what should I blog about, what’s the hottest way to get leads right now. He never answers. Not once, not ever, and once you see why, you’ll understand what he actually paid a martial artist to do to him instead of a new technique.

Why won’t David Wood answer the question you actually came here to ask?

A friend of his who edits video, Kyle Garrett, once told him other well-known marketers get unsettled being around him. He walks around barefoot, tells stories, tells people to believe in themselves, and nobody can reverse-engineer a strategy out of it. That’s the point. When someone corners him with a specific tactical question, something like which platform is converting right now, his brain shuts off on purpose before they even finish the sentence.

He compares it to Napoleon Hill opening Think and Grow Rich by promising the reader a secret buried somewhere in the pages, then never naming it directly. The promise alone gets people to read every line looking for it, which is the actual mechanism. Answer the small tactical question and the person stops paying attention to everything underneath it. Refuse to answer, and they have to go build the muscle themselves. The lesson isn’t hidden. It’s just not where anyone’s looking.

What was the Kung Fu master actually doing backstage all day?

Here’s where the opening scene pays off. The martial artist, a man who started training in 1972, spent the whole day working on Wood’s energy rather than his technique, adjusting how he was generating power and how his body was responding under pressure. Wood ties that directly to what he tells people who think their business is broken because of a wrong strategy.

What’s wrong is not what you’re doing. What’s wrong is the energy you’re doing it in.

He points to a friend in the room, a guy who worked hard for a couple of years as a successful real estate agent, got burned out, and then didn’t try that hard at anything again for the better part of a decade. Same person, same capability. What changed was the internal state he was bringing to the work. That’s a harder problem to fix than a funnel or a headline, which is exactly why most people never look at it. It’s easier to blame the strategy.

How many years does it actually take to become a master?

Wood asks the Kung Fu master onstage how long he’d been training before anyone officially called him Sifu. The answer: he started in 1972 and wasn’t recognized as a master until 2008. Thirty six years. Wood does the math out loud in front of the room. He was 33 years old that night, which means becoming a master in that art took longer than he’d been alive.

Most people, he says, dip a toe in something, get a small early result because they’re talented, and stop there. They never actually commit to the years it takes to be good at anything. As he puts it, “trying something out has one result, and it’s quitting.” Not a slow decline, not a gradual fade. One result. He runs that same line through a room worth filling, a title worth earning, then lands on the Kung Fu master standing right next to him to make the point physically obvious: the people who actually get good at something stopped treating it as an experiment a long time before anyone noticed.

So what do you actually do with that?

Put the two ideas together and the reason he won’t answer your tactical question stops being a personality quirk and starts being consistent advice. A better headline or a better lead source doesn’t fix a state problem, and a state problem doesn’t get fixed by trying something out for a few weeks to see if it works. Both take the thing everyone in that room wanted to skip past: time spent doing the work, from a place that isn’t resentful, isn’t burned out, and isn’t performing commitment it doesn’t actually feel.

Fix the energy first. Then give the years the strategy actually needs to prove itself. Most people flip that order, or skip the second half entirely, and wonder why nothing sticks.

The full session goes further than what’s above, including the story of a phone number buried in broken code that kept an entire company’s launch alive, and the string of leaders Wood calls up on stage one at a time to show how far one decision to stay in can travel. I could not be more proud and I could not be more excited to demand, lovingly of course, that all of you get on your feet and all of you get ready for something that can only be described as one of the most unique opportunities here at Empower Network, ladies and gentlemen, an evening with Mr. Dave Wood! Appreciate you, Dave. Go get him.

One, two, three. Hey, what are we shouting, by the way? What a badass thing to shout. Well, I'm just going to see how many times I could say now tonight, as you pay attention now.

There's no sense in putting the timer there because I'm not going to pay any attention to it. Like I pay no attention about the time I'm supposed to come up here, you know. They're like, Dave, you need to come up in like 10 minutes. I was like, well, wait a second.

I haven't planned my speech yet. Stall. No, I'm joking. Oh, isn't it?

Doesn't it feel good to be here, guys? Seriously? I sent an email to John and Mars last night and I was like, this is the most non-Las Vegas-y Las Vegas I've ever been to in my life. I was like, I was like, I actually kind of like this place, you know.

I was kind of feeling grumpy all the whole flight over here because I was like, Las Vegas, I hate that place. It smells like crap. There's porn on the streets. It's like people are walking around like I just lost money, you know what I mean?

But then I was like, I like the shows, but that's it. And then I drive here and I'm like, this looks like YouTube. Or something like that. I was looking for the Mormons, you know.

But in any case, by the way, I know they probably mentioned this, but Avram and Nikki lost their dog, okay? So if anybody sees like a little very cute dog, maybe if you have a picture, you could give it to those guys and we'll flash a picture up on the screen. If anybody sees his dog, please give him his dog back because that dog is really sweet. Everybody say, oh.

Oh, I'm sorry. I know you love that dog. I love that dog, too, actually. It would probably be sitting right there.

It's the nicest thing ever. What does that have to do with marketing? Absolutely nothing. So what I'm here to do tonight is a little bit different.

And sometimes people don't get it, okay? And they're like, what's he talking about? And the truth is, you might not figure that out by the time I'm done with my speech either, but it'll have an effect on you regardless of whether you understand it or not. And it's the effect that I'm looking for, okay?

And what's the effect that I'm here to create? Really, what is it, okay? I am here to teach you marketing strategies. Nope.

Not. You're here to teach me how to close? No. Not here to teach you how to close either.

I'm not here to teach you to dress, obviously. And really, I'm not here to teach you anything. So what am I here to do? So I fly a Kung Fu master out, right?

Which is a weird thing to do. And it's a weird thing to ask an employee to do for me. You know what I mean? I sent a message to Bonnie, like, a month ago, and I was like, Bonnie, I want to fly a Kung Fu master out to my event to train with me here.

Because I always get out of shape at these things. You know, I come to the event and then I'm sitting around in a hotel all day. So I was like, if I have a Kung Fu master, I can go backstage and do Kung Fu all day while the videos are playing. I was like, then I won't get out of shape.

That's a great idea. But so he comes down, and this guy actually is a really fascinating guy. I don't know if you've seen him. It's this bald guy.

He's probably here somewhere. But best martial artist 42 years, which is, you know, nine years longer than I've been alive, right? It started in like 1972. And when I touch his hands, I actually feel scared just being around him.

So he gets here, and what does he spend all day doing, right? Because I've been back there, like, doing that for eight or nine hours or something like that. He's, rather than spending all day teaching me a technique or something like that, he spent all day fixing my energy, right? Fixing the way that I have power, fixing the way that the responses that I'm creating are being created, right?

Because that's what a master does, and that's what the most important change I could do for you here is, is to fix your energy towards your business. A lot of times people walk up to me in the hallway, and they're like, you know, Dave, I'm brand new, you know? They're like, what is the best thing to blog about? You know what I mean?

And have any of you in here ever heard me respond to a question like that? Right? Yeah. You notice how I never answer it, right?

Or what if people walk up, and they say, Dave, what's the hottest way to generate leads right now? What do I do? I never answer it. Not ever, right?

They're like, you know, Dave, I have this, like, really specific question, you know? I was on a webinar the other day, and somebody was saying that, you know, if you use Google Plus in this certain specific way, and immediately my brain shuts off is, you know, what happens first. But then they asked me some really specific question, and if you ever see me respond to it, I just never, ever, ever answer questions like that. Not ever.

And sometimes people get perplexed. You know, I have a friend who edits videos. His name is Kyle Garrett. And, you know, Kyle was like, I know a bunch of big-name marketers, Dave, and it's like they get weirded out being around you, because they're like, it seems like that guy just, like, walks around barefoot, tells stories, and tells people to believe in themselves, and I can't figure out what his strategy is.

I have no idea what just happened. Huh? A big picture of Kevin, right? Oh, I got it.

I got it. They're like, what's his, so what's your strategy, Dave? What's your strategy? What are you really doing?

Go back to Atlanta, 2012, right? We're sitting in a room three days before the event starts, and I'm sitting there with Dave Sharp, right? And we're on a couch staring at a whiteboard, and on the whiteboard we put outcome for the event in the upper left-hand corner. We all know outcomes are important.

And then we were sitting there, and we're like, so what are we gonna do for three days? And I was like, well, wait, wait, wait, let's not say what we're gonna do, because that's the wrong approach. I said, what is it that we need to, what is it that we need to do, right? What is it that people are missing?

I said, so Empower Network's working, right? We're growing. We got a lot of people making money, right? We got all the strategies that we need to have in the products, okay?

So we don't need to teach any strategies, right? Because if people want to learn the strategies, they can go to the products, so we don't need to do that, right? Which probably pissed a lot of people off in the room, but somehow the event worked, right? So I said, well, what is it that we're really here to do?

And I was thinking for a minute, and again, I got it. The only purpose of this whole thing is to get people to believe that they can do it, right? Believe in the company and believe that it's easy. Now, see our income disclosure, it's not easy at all.

So we spent three days doing that, rather than teaching anything. Actually, if you remember, we did a lot of that. If you go back and you watch the, I love his faces when I do stuff. If you go back and you watch the videos from that first event, it's like three days of storytelling and nothing more.

And people were walking out in like a frenzy, like, oh my gosh, I'm so excited. I've never been this excited in my life. And we have testimonial videos that the camera team was filming like in the hallway. And Lisa Grossman said, you know, Dave, this company just changed.

And I said, why? Why were you saying that? She says, I just sat through three hours of like testimonials from the most excited people I've ever seen in my life. And none of them could really explain why they were excited.

She's like, I don't know what you've done to these people, but this company is about to grow really, really fast, right? So what I'm here to really do is a couple of things, right? What I'm here to really do is to fix your energy in your business, right? Because a lot of this, a lot of this, this, this really particular strategy stuff, we really teach it to just appease you, right?

Because it's like, you think that you're here to learn that, and you think that that's what's important, right? So you come here and we're like, well, we'll put that stuff in there because otherwise people won't want to come to the event, right? But it's not really what matters, right? Like a lot of times people are like, all right, what's the closing line?

What's the closing line that's going to get them to join? I used to wonder that. I used to wonder what the hell I was saying wrong to convince all these uninterested people that this is what they wanted to do. You know what I mean?

I was like, so I'd listen to Todd Falcone CDs driving around in my car, listening to how to cold call realtors, and I would just pick up the yellow phone and like cold call random people in the yellow books and flip to the white pages and call people in the white pages and just try to get people to buy stuff, right? Well, unfortunately, they didn't want to, you know? So it's like, I'm gonna teach you the amazing line that I'm gonna give you, the secret of hypnosis. The secret of hypnosis is that people go into a trance if they want to.

And then it's easy, right? What does a stage hypnotist do? We got one here, right? So what does a stage hypnotist do?

He asks for volunteers after he does some initial story-based trance work in the beginning, establishing his authority as a hypnotist, right, and explaining the effect of trance, creating it in the response of people in the room, and then after he spends enough time doing that to get people to respond, then he asks for volunteers. Why? Because the people in a little bit of a trance are going to volunteer and come up on the stage, right? Because he can't do that with everyone in the audience because not everybody wants to, right?

See, I got a goal simultaneously when I speak to number one, get the people who are supposed to do this to do it, and get the people who don't want to do this to quit. Fend them right out of here, right? I don't care if you don't want to do this. Sometimes people are like, you know, Dave, I'm thinking about quitting, you know, why should I do this?

I'm like, just get the fuck out of here now. You know what I mean? Like, if you don't want to do this, this isn't Amway, and you're not doing this, this isn't Amway, and you're not doing this, this isn't Amway, and you're not doing this, this isn't Amway, and you're not my grandma, so just leave. You know, I don't want to motivate you for the rest of your life, you know, to say, every day, Dave Wood, please fly to my house and motivate me.

You know what I'm saying? No! If you don't want to do it, don't do it. You know what I'm saying?

But what I don't like people doing is, like, pretending they want to do it, right? And then constantly coming up for excuses of why it's not working, and then quitting and complaining about it when they never wanted to do it in the first place. You're like, Dave, why do I, why do you offend people? Well, I offend them so they'll quit if they want to.

You know what I mean? I'm trying to give them a reason other than it didn't work. If they say, well, Dave Wood swore, you know, it's better than saying that was a scam, then get out of here, right? I don't want people to do this who don't want to do it, because if you're not going to do it, I'm going to go find somebody else to teach how to be a millionaire.

Not you. Not a big deal. Somebody else wants it. A lot of people do.

I'll pack rooms of 15,000 people, regardless of whether you're in the room or not. Doesn't matter, right? So the question is, is do you want to do this or not? And if you want to do it, right, you better get your ass off the fence.

You know what I'm saying? Like, and some of you don't think you're on your fence. You're like, I'm committed, I'm committed, right? And every day you question your decision, and then every day you put off doing the steps for another day, right?

And you just keep doing that and doing that and doing that and doing that and doing that and doing that, and you're just, like, sitting around on the fence, right? What's the real sense? It's no secret to closing lots and lots and lots of people. Doing it a lot.

And why are you going to do it a lot? You're going to do it a lot because you're going to do whatever it takes with all your energy and keep changing your strategy and changing your strategy and changing your strategy and changing your strategy until you're a master, right? That's what you're going to do. I can't teach you that.

I can't do it. It's impossible to do. I could give you a bunch of lines that work for closing. Actually, if you've got somebody interested and they've seen a video or something like that, you just pop on the phone and say, pull out your credit card right now.

I command you by the power of Jesus. That would work, right? How do you overcome the pyramid objection with somebody who's not interested? I'd be like, what the fuck are you talking to me for?

Go work at McDonald's, right? And they'd be like, excuse me? You don't want me to do this? You don't need me in your team?

You don't want me to just come along and bother you for the next five years following you around saying, I spent all this money. Can you help me with everything? Can you just please touch your nipple while you look at me? So I have all these weird requests all the time.

Like one time we had all these like big security guards and like I sent a message to our old COO and I was like, so I have this request. I said, with all the security guards, I want you to just cut the nipples out of their shirts. Because I actually don't think I need security. They're just there really to entertain me, you know.

But they're great. I really like them because otherwise I don't know how to find the event. Like I don't even know where we are right now, to be honest with you. It's really funny being around trying to figure out what my strategy is.

David, what's your secret? Just tell me what your strategy is. You know what I mean? That's what people are.

It's really funny. You know, it's like who in here has read Think and Grow Rich all the way through, right? You know, he says like at the beginning of the book, he's like, I am going to tell you a secret in these pages. The secret that's actually the secret of getting rich.

Now, I'm not going to directly mention it, but I'm going to mention it on almost every page and almost every chapter in this book. And if you don't pay attention to everything, you might not catch it. You're like, what is it? What is it?

What is it? Right? So you're like, what is it? And you're looking through every page like wondering what it is.

And it's amazing how much that gets you to pay attention to the whole book. You know what I mean? Isn't it amazing? Right?

It's like people, David, what's the best book for a new person to read right away? And I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

I don't know. I don't know. You know, people always ask that. I tell them to read every day.

They're like, well, what's the best book that I should read? What is it? Wait, what book has the strategy in it? You know what I mean?

And you know what I always respond with? It's always the same. I'm like, I'm not going to answer that question. Dave, what are you reading?

I'm not going to tell you. It doesn't matter. Right? What matters is that you're doing it every day.

Right? That's what actually matters. It doesn't matter if you read the same things Tony Robbins read or if you've read the things that I've read. Right?

Or if you've read the things Chris Rushlow has read, what matters is you're in a habit of reading every day. The average CEO that makes a million dollars a year reads a book a week, okay? In North America, like the average person maybe reads a book a year after they get out of school. College graduates, they stop learning, right?

What does that do over a very long period of time, especially when the books are like romance novels or like, you know, stories or something like that about nothing? What does it do? Your brain degrades, right? You stop learning stuff.

What's important about reading is that you do it all the time. I promise everybody in here, your income will grow amazingly over the next six months, okay? See our income disclosure. Even if you're doing something else, okay?

Brian Tracy says this too. If you'll read 30 minutes a day for six months straight, try to do that without making more money. Try it. I actually challenge you to read 30 minutes a day, it doesn't matter what it is, pick something off of the success books, it could be about marketing, something related to how you're making money, right?

It has to be that. So it could be influence, could be marketing, could be something like hypnosis, NLP, right? How to win friends and influence people, think and grow rich, anything like that, right? Go to the bookstore and just look at the top sellers.

Why are those books selling? They're selling because they're good, right? I want to challenge you to look at your income right now, read for 30 minutes a day and then come back in six months and say, David, I'm not making more money from that. I promise you.

No one will come up to me, no one. Because you'll make more money if you do it, right? So for me, what's my goal tonight? One thing.

My goal is to get you to get your ass off the fence and do one of two things, decide you're going to do this or get the fuck out of here, right? Now that's not because I actually want you to quit because if you want to do this, I want you to do it, right? But if you don't, isn't it better to get it over with and like you stop the pain and suffering? I mean, you're welcome to keep the process.

You can go buy the products and continue to enjoy them, keep using the blog and enjoy it, and go work at Walmart, work at Safeway, be a lawyer, be a doctor, be a judge, go back to school, right? Decide to become a professional MMA fighter and go train six hours a day. There's a million things you could do with your life if you don't want to do this. We're not criticizing you.

You're not worse if you don't do it. But if you want to do this, I'm telling you right now is the time, right? Right now is the time. And you need to make a decision to put some money into it.

I'm telling you right now is the time, right? Right now is the time. And you need to make a decision to put some money into it. put all your energy into this if you're gonna do it you need to get off the fence okay because this next year I know what's gonna happen in empower Network and I know what's gonna happen with or without you okay you ever heard that song with or without you right I like to play that in my car as I'm thinking of you one time and I think this is a copyright infringement I probably shouldn't have done it but there's a long time ago not in power network right I made this video when I went on this vacation to Atlantis where it was basically just obnoxious bragging you know what I mean like I'm doing an interview with like Ray Higdon and Rob foreign members of my team and just talking about like how fun the beach is and you know people saw that and they're just like me they're like I wish I was there and then at the end right at the end I cut together this clip of me traveling back to the mountains in Costa Rica as the song was playing with or without you you know what I'm saying see I think I think what I want you to understand is that we're going to create 100 millionaires a year with or without you with or without you right and I'm going to grow this company with or without you now if you're here it means something about you it means you're the kind of person that does want to do this you have the desire to do this and you're here for different reasons some of you are here to Some of you are here to learn the secret some of you here to meet a mentor some of you are here because you're excited some you don't know why you're here right but you're here because you want to make money from home you want to make money doing this you want to change your life in your heart you want to learn something that's going to transform you and I remember how frustrating it used to be for me sitting in the audience listening right and I was out there and I was working and working and working and working and I just felt like something was missing and I was just like okay this is where I want to go and I just wanted to be here and it was worth it.

looking for that missing thing. What is it that I'm missing? What's not here? What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong? You know what I mean? I used to call my upline every night when I was in Amway back in 2002, you know what I mean, to 2005. Every day I called him for like three years, right?

I was that guy, but he would tell me to do something, and I would go do it, and for whatever reason, it just wasn't coming together for three years. Can you imagine that? I was out all night and just wasn't coming together, right? And you know when it came together, okay?

You know when it came together? It was in 2009, seven years later, but you know why it came together? It wasn't because of something I learned. It was because of great intense pain.

You know what happened? Homeless, in a van, lost my job, poor, after seven years of trying shit like this. Right? Now there was nothing like this to try, truthfully, but you know what happened?

Cops woke up, knocked on my window, right? At like two in the morning in a park that homeless people sleep at. They wrote me a ticket, right? And I was fighting with the cops, trying to make them feel guilty, like you don't care about the homeless, you know, things like that.

He actually like felt really guilty, I could tell. I said he was a shame to his family, you know, things like that. Trying to manipulate him, but he still gave me the ticket because his boss, right? And I got that thing, and tried to go back to sleep, and I couldn't.

My heart was pounding, and I was holding my fist like this, laying on the floor of my van, I'm fucking changing something right fucking now. You know what happened after that day? I worked differently, right? All of a sudden, it wasn't going to happen in the future.

didn't see myself being a diamond in five years all of a sudden right now this is changing enough's enough who in here has had enough right now that's the thing when you get to a point where you make a decision you've had enough right and you're gonna do it no matter what that's my aim all the time is to get you to make a decision right how much does life need to beat a person up you know before they decide to change usually almost to a breaking point that's how most people are that's how I am truthfully right I got to get to a point where I've gone so low that I almost crack sometimes for something like that like I almost break inside right what happened to Paul Gardner got sent to a crazy hospital right had a cracking point didn't you can you change you right I want you guys in here to realize the time that you're in right now right the time that you're in see how to empower network really start this is why the company started this is the story of its creation all right I've told this a million times maybe I'll say something now a little bit differently and if you pay attention carefully I may just uncover the secret that you've been looking for so I'd been trying to do home business for seven years had a lot of problems and a lot of stuff didn't work almost made no money at all one time made a few thousand dollars a month and then it disappeared again because what I was doing was stupid and then 2009 discovered some stuff and I started making a lot of money real fast three months I was up to twenty thirty thousand bucks a month after doing what I'll tell you I did tonight right that's how long it took it took me three months to get to thirty thousand bucks a month right that's it and then I started making thirty thousand forty thousand fifty thousand a month for the next two or three years and I was frustrated watching my organization's right it was like watching paint dry trying to get people to succeed anybody ever built a team and like experience something like that you look at him and you're like why aren't you succeeding right and you just don't know what's going on right now I kept making money I was teaching him everything that I was doing I was showing him my private back linking strategy as I was showing him how to set up their websites I was showing him my secrets to selling stuff you know what I mean and it's like guys go do it you know I mean go go and it's like they're sitting here saying no I don't want to not really that's not what was happening right so I tried different things for like the next two years to try to get my team to succeed and then I reached another breaking point in 2011 early on in the year right where I was like if I can't help people succeed at doing this I'm just gonna quit and go be homeless again this sucks right I'm not gonna do this and just make money and try to teach people to make money and have it never work you know I mean I was like that sucks right I felt like I would at that point I was I'd been doing it for so long it's like I feel like I'm selling thin air to these people because they can't do it you know I mean now probably none of you have ever felt like that before you're like I wish I was making 30 or 40 thousand dollars a month without a team succeeding and felt that way right but for me that sucked right so what I do about it I stopped marketing for like almost three months I didn't send any emails out didn't write any blog posts didn't do any conference calls I just kind of disappeared right now some of you might even remember that if you're on my list back then I literally just vanished I didn't even check how much money I was making during those months right but a couple months later something amazing happened I went back and I just checked how much money I would had been making and it had actually gone up right serious like I'm serious my income had increased doing absolutely completely nothing and I was totally perplexed by that I was like I was like what the hell just happened right now you're like I wish I had this problem right and uh I was like what's going on here but I realized something when I saw that and here's what I realized I realized that the way that I was doing things was special okay and I thought about all the people out there I was like what if I could just take this and I could give people a business like this I was like this is a fantasy I've not done anything for three months I've been depressed because I can't get my team to succeed you know what I mean and I've been off walking through the mountains and walking along the beach and like you know uh thinking and wondering you know what's the future going to be like and how can I help people and I wonder if this is really going to work for them and then I come back after that and my income had increased I just kept sponsoring two to three to four people a day doing nothing nothing at all right and I looked at that and I was like this is powerful and I was thinking about that for the next few days and I was walking to the mountains just wondering how can I give how can I create a business like this for other people this is like just this this really is a fantasy and then I had like a lightning bolt of inspiration come into my head that the real problem that I was having was actually really simple and here's what it is let me explain it right and this is the problem that I struggled with in my business and I was like I'm going to do this and I'm going to start a business for two years after I figured out how to do it right the problem was this it was people are here they want to be here and in order to be able to get here there's a massive ass learning curve that's too intense for most people so before they produce any results at all any results it's six months in their business the way I was teaching them and the problem is most people quit before they ever get to six months right so I kept having to replace people faster than they were quitting because they were quitting before they could ever get any result at all so I was like how do I take this learning curve of this six month time and how do I just get it to where these people maybe they don't get this result here but these people go out and they could earn commissions right without understanding how any of this works at all and that was literally the first thing I did I was like I'm going to do this right I'm going to make this really my goal I said I want people to come in to be able to create a business and they don't and they're not going to make a hundred thousand a month yet but I want them to come in and I want them to get a result before they understand what's happening I want them to say I wonder where this commission came from and really not know not have any clue how they made it I want them to make a thousand bucks one day and say what just happened right and the key to doing that was to take all the complicated stuff was teaching all the complexity of it and to cut that out of the picture entirely so all people had to do was work right so here's what happened rather than telling people to make sales videos we made a process that sold for them and they just had to get enough people to see it for it to work rather than telling people to set up a blog what I do I built the blogging platform where they just had to buy it and then start blogging on it right rather than telling to make a product we just what made products and paid them more commissions on it rather than telling them to you know go out and start your own conference calls and webinars what we do we did the conference calls and webinars and upsold their team for them without them I have to understand how it works so literally all they had to do was get in blog daily tell others and get money right that was the model right and it worked better than I thought it would work because all of a sudden people were getting the results I was getting but they didn't have a clue why in fact most the people in empower network that have earned two and three and four hundred thousand dollars understand about five percent of why they've made that much money Mars came into the company right and one of the first things he said after about a month of talking to people is he's like this is the most amazing thing I've been around he's like I get around people who have made like a million dollars or five hundred thousand dollars or seven hundred thousand dollars or two hundred thousand dollars and they really don't understand how they just want to they just want to make money and they just want to make money and they just want to make money and they just want those results back they don't know how it worked he says I've never been around people that make money like this without understanding how it worked right see that's the key to growing a big organization so we come out we launch env2 and this is all leading into where we are right now right the first version of what we created did brought like 200,000 people in the company and did over a hundred million dollars in sales without changing anything at all ok because that was the model so we launch env2 and what was the problem with what we created truthfully I'm just going to be honest with you guys here for a second right the problem was is like we had this engine of this car right let me explain in ok where last 2013 ok around April time I use that month just because I've checked and I remember the figures around that time we had eight hundred and fifty thousand people a month clicking on a blog post from google search all the way through to a sales video nobody knew that I mean I didn't know what was working that good I had to go through and look at analytics for a month and I was like holy crap right people were signing up people and they didn't know how right you guys around you remember you're signing people up you're like where all these people coming from Lawrence Tam is like I'm signing up like 60 people a month and then all of a sudden it stopped he's like where'd they go eight hundred and fifty thousand people a month Clicking to a blog post from a search.

That's not that's not all the traffic that was going to that sales video We actually had more traffic than that coming from paid sources, but you know it was signing all the people up blogging all of them I mean 95% of them all the guys in empower network that like thought they made all their money from paid advertising actually made 95% of their money from downline that we're quitting and And still had blog posts, and they just inherited all the traffic and never knew about it ain't that some shit Right so what we did and empower and this is this is you know ill-advised right really I could get into the story Why but it'd be blaming and I don't like to blame anybody But me for things because if I take responsibility I can change it and if I don't I can't right so what happens is we launch a nv2 right and Nobody liked it So they all stopped blogging But also it didn't work very well, and also we took away all our organic traffic That's the truth right so our 2014 after we launch a nv2 it looked like this We're trying to get the results that we had before we launched a nv2 But without all of the organic traffic that was coming from the first version of empower network right Therefore the results from a nv1 were impossible to recreate We got rid of all of our organic traffic.

It's impossible right We took out. It's like this is what we were doing, and I want to use a metaphor here because I like metaphors It's like we were driving like this car down the road right and one day. We pulled over we stopped at a gas station right and then a UFO flew by and Teleported out the engine replacing it with a central air conditioning unit and I go into the gas station station you know see a bright light and turn around and nothing's there right go back in the car stick the keys in and it won't turn on now I'm not a mechanic unfortunately so if you actually replace an engine in a Ferrari with a central air conditioning unit I wouldn't know what was wrong with it right I'd just be like why isn't it working and kick it or something like that right so I'm trying to start the car and I'm turning the key and pushing on the gas and turning the key and pushing on the gas right I'm like why isn't this thing working the way that I want it to work but then I look through the analytics and I was like there's no fucking engine in this thing right see what a most network marketing companies do they tell you to talk to your friends and family why because their target market is like this big so if you don't talk to your friends and family they're gonna do five million dollars maybe a year in sales or something like that but if they get people growing organically through meetings and things like that and it's spreading through communities they're not limited to a target market so they can keep growing and growing and growing and growing well since we never did those things and we grew like that anyway people outside of us always wondered how and you know how it was and you know how it is blogging is our replacement for that that's why we've never needed to do it right so anyways we take the engine out of our car and the second that I figured that out right I just went to work trying to replace it right and took us all year right up until about a week ago were all of our organic results just start coming back and we're going again we're going the same way we go before some of you have already noticed it right some of you already noticed it but what's gonna happen next is really exciting okay and I want you guys to understand this stuff because I want you understand what you're gonna lose out on if you don't take action right now if you take a year to make a decision if you take two years to make your decision I just wanted you understand I might have a stuff or two That's tough.

what you're going to lose. You're going to lose the same thing people in Atlanta lost who didn't take action. Right? That's what you're going to lose out on.

Right? What did they lose out on? We created 15 millionaires from that event. Okay?

That event produced 15 millionaires and $100 million in sales. That event. Why? Because that event really was the birth of a company the same way this event is the birth of the New Empower Network.

We have a lot of advantages now that we've never had before. A whole bunch. And I'll talk about a bunch of them tonight. And you're going to learn about a bunch of them tomorrow.

But I want you guys to really understand what's about to happen. Because we've just started to get the organic growth back in Empower Network, but it's going to take on a whole new life on Tuesday. Okay? Now, why Tuesday?

You're like, Tuesday? That was a weird thing to say. Why not now? I was like, well, it started.

It's starting now. Right? But, you know, learn what you can from the event. Make sure you're clear getting out of here.

And, you know, on your way home, you're going to be flying on the plane Sunday and Monday. Right? Because on Tuesday, our new sales processes and funnels are going live. Okay?

Along with a promotion to all the existing members to be able to participate in the funnel the way new people do. Right? So we can all go make a bunch of money from the people that are involved. We're going to have a bunch of people that are interested in Empower that aren't all in yet, and stuff like that.

It's going to be fun. Okay? He likes that. Silvia was like, oh, yes, Dave.

I'm excited. You know what I mean? Maybe some of those guys that joined Shmoobly will come back now that uncensored Dave Wood. You know?

I was on Facebook and Shmoobly was everywhere. Everywhere. We're going to launch a traffic system and grow this thing to the moon from paid traffic. And then they launched the system.

And everybody starts quitting. told them. Idiots. Okay?

So in any case, so Tuesday, now why is that going to change things? Why is it going to? It's because of the way the offers are structured and what we're doing, which Mars is actually going to cover tomorrow. Right?

And all of you should be in your seats, paying attention to what he's going to share tomorrow. Because he's going to cover the whole structure of our funnel and our upsell sequence. Okay? Because I want you guys to get something.

Okay? Empower Network grew. We did a hundred million dollars in sales. Okay?

And this is how the funnel was built. I want to explain it to you so you understand. Okay? I got a whiteboard like that that I put on my porch.

I turned the camera on and I walked over to the whiteboard and did five hours of Amway presentations. Selling each product as somebody went through the funnel. Right? Somebody would join Empower Network, then they'd go to a presentation for the inner circle.

Right? So they'd join and then the inner circle presentation went like this. How would you like to be able to earn five times the money? Right?

And then I start telling the dream of being able to sell the inner circle and then painting out what it looks like when you get one and then they get a bunch of people. You know what I mean? And I'm telling stories like being on the beach while inner circle money's coming in. Right?

They'll get really excited and they buy it. Right? And then after they buy that, they come back and you're like, welcome. You know?

Let me tell you how to earn five times the money again. Then I do a presentation for the Costa Rica Mastermind Intensive. Right? That lasts an hour and a half.

Right? And then they go through that and then they go through another one that lasts an hour and a half. And they're all basically the same presentation except for each one increases the commissions. Right?

That was our sales funnel. You know what I mean? Now that's cool and all. Right?

And it was effective because of, I'm going to tell you why it was effective. It was effective because the amount of people who were looking at it. And that's the only reason why. That's it.

It was effective because we had 850,000 people a month clicking to it from Google Search. Because we were signing up 10,000 people a month. That's why it was effective. Right?

What this is, is totally completely different. Okay? And what is it? This is a funnel that is built on scientific real marketing.

For example, right? I sent the funnel to Chris Rushlow the other day. I sent him just the first sales video. You haven't seen the upsell sequence.

Right? I just sent him the sales video. And he was like, holy shit, dude. This thing is awesome.

He's like, I can send professional people to this. You know what I mean? Who's more excited than he's ever been in his entire life? It's like giving him popcorn and candy and like a stripper at the same time.

He doesn't like strippers. But anyways, he was excited out of his mind. Right? He was excited out of his mind.

Right? So, what we have is we have, and I'm not going to get into a lot of it. I just want to explain to you what we've got, okay? Because you've got to pay attention to Mars' presentation tomorrow.

We've got an offer going live that has two different front ends. Okay? One of them is like basically speaks to a massive, wide audience. And one of them is like a, you know, hit hard and fast offer.

Right? Both of them are better than the other. Both of them are better than any video that we've ever had on our website. Those are the front ends.

Right? One of them, for example, I'm just going to give you an example of one. It's like a 12 minute video where you get a free account for five days. It's free.

Right? And why is it free? Because if people just put in their credit card and don't have to pay anything, they get to spend the next five days going through our upsell sequence. Right?

So, that's just one of them. Right? Now, that's not, you guys, you guys are going to see some cool stuff tomorrow. Right?

And after people join, and you guys got to sit through and watch Mars' speech about it, they go through the most badass upsell sequence that I've ever seen. It's an entirely, guys, it's an entirely new kind of funnel. It's a new kind of funnel. We have a gamified upsell sequence.

Right? Let me give you an example. Right? Who in here has ever read that book, Influence?

Right? You've read it. Right? So, a lot of people have read that book.

A handful of people. Those of you who haven't should read it. Right? And those of you who have read it are going to understand the power of what I'm going to tell you.

For example, the first video in the upsell sequence, people cannot watch past minute five without clicking a button that says, I trust you. Yeah. Now, those of you who haven't read that book, you're going to go read that book and you're going to be like, you sneaky, sneaky people. Right?

A gamified upsell sequence that's not just videos. Okay? Not just videos that gets people through the new products. There aren't just videos that are better marketing than we have now.

Right? That's also combined into a live upsell webinar system. Right? Where we're going to have two webinars a week going, every week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, to get people all in for you.

Right? And I'm just telling you what's going to happen immediately on Tuesday when we put that live. Right? Over the next two weeks, we're going to do several million dollars in sales from the existing member base and all the new people coming into that funnel.

Empower Network will be completely rebooted and back on track like it was at the very beginning of 2013. That's what's going to happen. Now, right? Now, there's some things that you need to understand.

Okay? Because there's a reason I'm telling you this stuff. Right? The reason I'm telling you this stuff is because 35 people were sitting in a hotel room.

And I'm not talking about a hotel room like this. I'm talking about like a room. Okay? Like where, you know, you're sleeping.

I had a hotel room and people just came in and I had a whiteboard that I sat on a chair where I explained to them that Empower Network was going to launch. Now, everybody got in. All of you guys are in. Right?

But within two, three, four weeks, 10 of those people had quit. Florence Tam was in that room. In the next five weeks, he made almost $50,000. Right?

In Atlanta, we had a room that was like this size. Okay? Now, here's the thing. In Atlanta, right?

Most of the people in that room quit. Right? I'm just telling you what happened. But the people in that room that took action produced 15 millionaires.

They produced a whole bunch of people that made over a quarter million dollars. They produced an event three months later that was more than twice the size. Okay? That's what happened.

That's what happened from Atlanta. That's what's going to happen right now. Now, why is that special? Why is that special is this, and it's just really, you guys got to understand this, right?

Why that's special is because that growth curve happened without a lot of the people in the room doing a thing. And guess what happened to them? They missed out. They missed out.

Right? Now, the reason I'm telling you that is because if you want to do this, okay, and you don't do it now, you're going to miss out on your opportunity that you have that's unique because you're in this room. And you can't recreate this day. You can't recreate that opportunity.

It's not going to come back. There'll be more opportunity in the future. We'll make technological advances, breakthroughs, right? Advanced versions of the blog, all sorts of neat stuff we've got coming down the pipe in the future here at Empower, right?

International expansion, multilingual funnels, stuff like that, right? But right now, you cannot recreate this moment. If you missed out on Atlanta, do not miss out on this. Right?

I'm just telling you. Right? Because what happens, you know, I had a, I had a one time, at one point in my life, I went to churches a lot, right? And there was a pastor one time that was talking about gifts from God and callings from God, right?

Anointings, he called them. And he said, when God gives you an anointing to do something amazing in your life and you don't do it, what does he do? He takes it away and he gives it to someone else. Right?

If you don't love your wife, what happens? She gets loved by somebody else. Sorry. Right?

You're like, that's not true. Yes, it is. It is. Okay?

When you don't go out there and take the action you're supposed to take, guess what happens? It gets taken by somebody else. And you win. And you watch them walk across the stage and get their million dollar ring and say that was supposed to be mine and you're right.

It was. Get off the fence. Right? Because now is your time.

And you can do this. And I promise you it's more simple than you think that it is. What's wrong is not what you're doing. What's wrong is the energy you're doing it in.

Okay? A lot of you guys for a long time have not put all your energy into something. And gals in the room. All of you.

You haven't put your energy into something, all your energy for a really long time. Maybe you got beaten down some other time in your life. Maybe you were in Amway and quit and you tried really hard that time but you didn't have the right information. Maybe you were a successful real estate agent.

It took Chris a long time. He worked real hard for a couple years when he was a successful real estate agent and got so burnt out he didn't try like that again in his life for like five, six, seven, eight years. Right? But the reality was he wasn't, he wasn't putting all his energy into what he was doing.

He had kind of lost his heart. He had kind of lost his hope. Right? The reason I'm telling you this right now is because now is the time to have your hope back.

Okay? Now is the time, now is the time to take action. Now is the time, now is the time. Right now is the time to create a revolution.

Right now is the time to step into the leader that you always knew you could be. Right now is your time. Right now is your time to claim your million-dollar ring to say I can do this. Right?

Right now is the time to get clear on your vision. Right now is the time to learn the strategies that you need to learn. Right now is the time to start believing in people, to start speaking life into them. Right now is the time to start blogging.

Right now is the time to start learning what you need to do in marketing. Right now is the time you should be making videos. Right? Right now.

Now is the time for you to step into your destiny. Not in the future, not in the past, right now. Right now is the time to do it. Does that make sense?

Right now is. And this is the time you can do it. Right? This is the time you can.

Right? The tragedy is, the tragedy is, some of you know that and you won't. Okay? I said something on a webcast, I think earlier in the week or last week or something like that.

What I said is, the greatest tragedy in the world is somebody who never creates their dreams. All the lost inventions, the lost riches, the uninspired people, right? People who walk through their life accepting mediocrity because other people accept mediocrity. Being mediocre is not fun at all.

Not at all. Being mediocre sucks. Whatever you do. Whatever you do.

Whatever you do. Whatever you do. Whatever you're going to do with your life, you should be the best at. That you can possibly be the best.

Right? If you're going to build and power network, you should do it with all your energy. Don't get me wrong, you're welcome to hang out here if you want to do that. But don't pretend hanging out here is building it with all of your energy because it's not.

It's different. Totally different. Does that make sense to everybody in here? All right.

I'm talking a little bit strong, right? But the reason is is because what I know is about to happen because I'm going to tell you something, guys. Empower Network is back right now. Now, the reason I know that is because I look at the numbers every day.

Okay? For example, on Monday this week, we had like 43 people make over $1,000. Right? And I'm telling you what's going to happen to that company.

That's just Monday. Okay? Just on Monday, right? There was like 30 or something of those over 2,000 on Monday, right?

Monday, I think we did like a quarter million dollars in sales one day, right? And I'm going to tell you what's going to happen within a month is we're going to be doing $175,000, $200,000 in sales every single day, five and seven days a week, like clockwork. Every single day through the year, and it's going to keep growing like this because now we've got the things that work for Empower Network down to a process, and the people that are not going to be a part of this but are going to be responsible for creating this, which are going to be people in this room, maybe even somebody sitting next to you, maybe somebody sitting next to them, maybe it's even you, right?

They're going to be the ones who make all the money, right? I'm a different kind of a guy, and especially if you know me well. People who know me well think I'm even weirder than you think I am if you don't know me well, right? Right, Chris?

It's true. You're like, you know, being around me is like being in a South Park episode. It really is. You know what I mean?

It really is. It's like a South Park episode blessed by Jesus and his super friends, if you've seen that one. Four people got there. There you go.

Right? But I'm just telling you, one of the things that's unique about me is I just, when I lock on to a vision, I do it no matter what. No matter what. No matter what.

No matter what. I don't care if it takes me a year. I don't care if it takes me two years. I don't care if it takes me five, ten, or twenty.

It doesn't matter how long it takes because I'm going to get it done. That's it. Period. It will happen.

And I'm going to tell you what's going to happen in the future from Power Network because it's what I want to do, regardless of whether you want to do it or not, is I am going to, in this company, there will be a day when we are creating a hundred new millionaires a year. Okay? There will be a day when we do that. And I'm going to tell you what it's going to look like when that day is here.

It will look like there are events in North America that have 15,000 people in them. Y también hay eventos en México con 15,000 personas. Right? There will be a day.

My Spanish is getting better, isn't it?

Y quieren Empower Network, ¿verdad? Un año y media atrás, yo fui a un crucero.

En ese crucero, hay 15.000. 500 personas de Herbalife. 500. That's 500 people in Herbalife.

Right?

Who's pumped up about that? Not bad, huh? That's what happens when you have, you know, you talk to Costa Rican people all day. You know, you have Costa Rican family, you're like, what the hell are you talking about until you finally learn the language, right?

Who in here is just surprised I did that, who speaks Spanish? You're like, not perfect, but I'm getting there. I'm not perfect, but I'm getting better, right? That was funny.

I actually thought that was really good. I have no idea what they flash on the screen most of the time, right? So in any case, guys, here's what's going to happen and here's what it looks like. We will walk into a future, okay, where there's 15,000 people in the room and 20,000 people in the room.

And then it gets too big and it won't fit in any rooms. And it will split off into multiple countries with different leaders speaking different languages. Right? And they're holding their own events all around the world at the same time in India, in South America, in New Zealand.

Where else? Where else is going to have a room? Where are you from? Canada.

Where else? Huh? The Philippines. The Philippines.

Filipino people work harder than Americans do. Almost everybody in the world does these days. Who else? Huh?

Spaniards. Spaniards. Espana. Espana.

Right? Espana. Where else? Huh?

Korea. Where? France. I don't know.

France. Huh? Latvia. Latvia.

I don't know where that is. We're going to have events there. Where else? Korea.

Huh? Korea. Koreans work way harder than Americans. Way harder.

It's not even the same thing. You know what I mean? You know what happened? So?

Portugal. Portugal. They already got it. Give him a hand.

Hey, stand up. Stand up real quick. Stand up real quick. This man right now has events going on in a language I don't speak in Portugal that are just as big as this room.

Give him a hand. Give him a hand. Come on. Give him a hand.

That's a leader right there. Come on. Give him a hand. Give this man a hand right here.

This man. Okay. So, we're going to do it. Right?

And what does this look like? What does this look like? What does this look like? Here's what it looks like.

Let me tell you. Okay? Let me tell you what it looks like. Empower Network has created 15 millionaires and there's a whole bunch of people real close.

And right now we've done about $150 million in sales. So, it is then logical that we get a millionaire about every $10 million in sales, which is not normal for a network marketing company. Absolutely not. Not a network marketing company at all.

This is not normal. This is something special. So, it takes us about $10 million to create a millionaire. So, on our way to our first $1.5 billion in sales, we are going to create our first hundred extra millionaires.

And then, on our way to $1.5 billion a year, they're going to start churning out so fast, nobody in here, even the memory experts, will be able to remember. All of their names. Yeah. Yeah.

We don't even need a traffic rotator. Honestly, Doobly can kiss my fucking ass. Some of you are like, what's he talking about? It's not important.

Don't worry about it. I hope you got a YouTube video of that, honestly. The other day, the other day, right, I was, you know, talking to somebody and I was like, so what happened to that thing? Because, like, they were everywhere and then just disappeared.

And he's like, oh, dude, nobody's saying on the subscription, they're just dropping, like, fries. And I was like, who told you? Who told you that would happen a month and a half ago? Who told you?

Who told you when it would happen? People fall for anything. Anyways. So, $150 million in sales churns out 15 millionaires approximately.

See our income disclosure. We're not going to guarantee you're going to be one. Therefore, $1.5 billion churns out 100. Okay.

And $1.5 billion a year. That'll take a little time. It's okay. That churns out at least 100 new ones a year.

And it'll start stacking because what's going to happen is all the people who have been earning $100,000 a year will start stacking up and after 10 years, they'll get their million dollar ring, too. Okay. All the people earning a quarter million dollars a year, they'll stack up and it's going to increase and increase. So, Bill Britt, who's one of the role models.

I'm going to start drawing on the other one because I never like erasing anything. It's like blogging but on the wall. So, Bill Britt, who's dead now, right, he was doing in his organization, you know, about $1.52 billion a year in sales. Had 2 million active distributors when I first saw him speak in 2003.

2 million. Okay. 2 million. Now, he had a vision for a very long time.

And the company he's in, which is Amway, to create 100 diamonds a year, right? 100 diamonds a year, right? Now, here's the interesting thing, right? He's talked about that and talked about that and talked about that and talked about it and the rooms grew and they grew and they grew and they grew and people joined and quit and people joined and quit and people joined and quit and people joined and quit and he talked about it and he talked about it and talked about it and he talked about it for 30 years.

And he still hadn't accomplished it. It was the first time I saw him speak, and I saw him talking about it. But you know what happened? Here's what happened.

That company opens up India, Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico. Countries where people actually, right? Now, here's what happens. He talks about it.

He talks about it. He talks about it. He talks about it. He talks about it.

He talks about it. And then, all of a sudden, this happens. 100 diamonds a year just in India. And then, something he'd been talking about for 30 years, 100 diamonds, and then 200 in a year, then 300 in a year, then 400 in a year, then 500, and 600, and 700 in a year.

Something that took him 30 years, right? That, to me, is impressive. But you know what? What I'd like to do is I'd like to create 100 millionaires a year, and that's a start.

And it'll start speeding up, right? And whoever is the lucky bastard that makes these rings are going to be fucking rich. And then, we're going to have to make a different version for all the Islamic countries, right? We already got in Islam, they can't wear platinum, right?

So, next time Shakir, for example, comes to an event, he's getting a special one. That's against the religion for men to wear. Platinum is a thing for girls or something. I actually don't know.

That's what he said. He said it's for women. And I actually secretly burst into laughter, but I told him I burst into laughter, too. I said, that was the funniest thing I've heard all day.

But okay, we'll get you a special one. And then, he was like, you mean you're going to make me a special ring? Of course. Because there's a lot more Muslims in the world who are going to be millionaires.

I'm not going to say, oh, you can't have a million dollar ring because you're not Mormon. Well, they can have them, too, right? I'm telling you guys, this is way bigger than what you see. Because this is way bigger than what I see.

And what I see is bigger than what all of you see. And it's big enough for all of your dreams, I promise you. And bigger than that. Because this is going to be huge.

And if you're not with us for the ride, somebody else will be. And that's okay with me. I just want to make sure you understand. I understand that at this point now, listening to the sound of my voice.

So if you want to be there, because I would like you there with us, you don't miss out. Ron Pereer, too, actually. He runs another organization, but he was part of Bill Britt's organization. Ron Pereer was creating 100 millionaires a year just in India.

Or 100 diamonds a year just in Korea, too. Right? Now, I've got to tell you this story because this story is fascinating. Right?

And then I'm going to tell you a story of mine to tell you how this is really going to play. As we march into a new future together. Right? So Ron Pereer, right, gets a customer in Amway.

Like 35, 40 years ago now. Right? A customer. Gets a customer.

Right? One time, one day, one day, Ron calls up this customer and he says, you know what? You've been buying these products for like, you know, years. Right?

You've been buying these products. But he gets a customer. Somebody who says, no, I don't want to do that. And then the person buys.

They buy the products. Probably because they felt sorry for them. But then really likes the soap and keeps ordering it for years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years. So Ron calls them one day and says, you know, I've been ordering this for years.

Why don't I sign you up as a rep? You're going to get like a 30% discount. Right? So this Amway strategy.

Right? I actually really like Amway. I'm never making fun of it really because I respect it big time. Right?

I can't disrespect something that's doing like a billion dollars a month. You know what I mean? And still growing after 70 years or something like that. So anyways, he calls up this.

He calls up this customer. He calls up this customer. He calls up this customer and says, why don't you be a rep? Do you get this stuff?

And the person's like, I get a discount? And he's like, yeah, you get a discount. Right? Well, now they're a rep.

Right? This is a true story. Right? So now this person goes from a customer.

Right? Now they're a rep. So that's what he does then. He says, you know what?

I could actually help you, you know, make some money. I'm going to come over to your house like next Thursday or so. You have anything going on? They're like, no.

Why? I said, invite a bunch of your friends over to your house. He says, I'm going to come over and help you get a discount. You know, stuff for free and help you make some money too.

And the person says, do I have to do anything? He's like, no. Just invite people over. I'll do all of it.

Right? So this person then who's now a rep says, yeah, whatever. Right? Well, then the person tries to back out of it.

Right? They're like, oh, crap. Because Ron was coming over. But what he used to do is turn off his phone before he would drive to the meeting.

Right? right? So then he tries to call, you know, Ron's wife, and she's like, what do you mean you're trying to cancel the meeting? Ron's already on his way, and the person goes, oh, crap, and she goes, if you don't pull, and she was like, if you don't invite people over, he's gonna be mad.

You don't want to do that to Ron. He's taking time out of the night. You better invite people, and the guy's like, so he runs around to the trailer park, invites a bunch of people over, right? So Ron goes over, right?

Ron goes over to this person's house, who's now a rep, who's panicking to invite people to a meeting, but this isn't our strategy. This is just, I think, a funny story, because I'm gonna tell you guys after this, I'm gonna tell you one of my stories, right? And it's gonna freak you out, right? How predictable this kind of thing is when you go in an organization the right way.

So anyways, they've been panicking, inviting people over, so like all these people, like 15 people come over from the trailer park, because he's like, this millionaire's coming over, and if I don't invite people, he's gonna be mad, right? And they're like, I want to see what he's talking about. You know, he pulls up in this big ass fancy car to a trailer park, you know? Anyways, so these 15 people, show up, and Ron goes in there, he does a meeting, right?

And from that meeting, books a bunch of more meetings, and this person now, in that company, goes Ruby, which is about, today in sales, about $40,000 a month in sales. This guy's an impressive character, you know what I'm saying? But this person was a customer for like 10 or 15 or 20 years or something, like a long time, just sitting there, right? Then all of a sudden, this is doing $15,000 a month in sales, and somebody referred a person, who referred a person, who referred a person, who referred a person, who referred a person, like seven or eight levels down, and then there was a customer down there, that was Korean.

And guess what his name is? Leonard Kim. And when Amway opened Korea, he moved back home, and they had to invent a new rank for him. It was like a, it was like a diamond 200, because he created 200 diamonds a year.

25 or 30 years later, after getting the customer. So I get on the internet, 2009, right? And I'm real frustrated the first few weeks. But I sponsor a guy named Daniel, finally.

Now here's what actually happened with Daniel. The affiliate links in this company I was in weren't working. He joined from my link and got coded to somebody else. They got all the commissions.

But they moved him back to me, but never gave me the commissions. So I didn't earn any money from the first guy I sponsored online. I sponsored Daniel, who went out and he set up his own site and everything, because this was before Empower Network, right? For about three months, okay?

Well, before he quit, three months later, guess what happened? He sponsors Paul Hutchings. Paul, come up. Watch this.

So Daniel sponsors Paul, right? Daniel sponsors Paul, right? Now, Paul at the time, he joined pretty much everything I was ever in. Right?

But for a long time, made no money on the internet, right? Until actually he quit the team I was in and joined something else, which I think was some sort of vitamin deal. But when we launched Empower Network, Paul joins that, too. Now, if Daniel had stayed in, Paul would have joined under Daniel, right?

Because that's how people like this are. They stay with their teams, right? So Daniel quits. He sponsors Paul.

So what happens is now this person's like out of the way, right? Daniel, he quits. And he comes to Paul Hutchings. Paul, how much have you made in Empower Network now?

What's that? How much have you made total here? $438,000. So $438,000.

Now, okay, so the way that it works in Empower is you, as a sponsor, you end up earning about a fifth of what your leaders earn from them, because they pass out one out of five. So guess how much I made from his business in Empower Network? Well, you divide that into a fifth. I can't quite calculate that plus, but, you know, master menace, $100,000.

Right? So, but, now, here's the thing. So Paul joins Empower Network, sends people into it for a good month or two, right? And then he's like, this is distracting from my vitamin deal, which is fine, right?

Because he wasn't committed yet, right? Right? So he stops promoting it. But before he stopped promoting Empower, right?

And this is something we can talk about openly, right? Because it's a thing of the past, and this is a great story, isn't it? Yeah. This is a great story, right?

And guess what happens? Well, before he stopped promoting it, guess what happened with Paul? Paul sponsored Justin Varengia. Justin Varengia, come up.

Also another barefoot man. We like those. Okay? So, let's hand the microphone.

Let's hand the microphone to him. Show you the power. How much have you made here? A lot of money.

I don't know. Something like 1.3 or 1.4 million. So we'll say 1.3. We'll go to the lower end.

So he's made 1.3 million dollars. How much have you made from, like, the master's course? My guess, 400 and something thousand. Well, now, here's the thing, too.

Because, now, Paul, I am sorry for this. But. See, Paul wasn't focused on Empower Network, right? But Justin was, because he came to my house, and I helped Justin make a lot of money.

This is the taproot. Who in here has actually watched the Team Builder Formula product, right? This is the taproot principle in play. Now, those of you who don't understand that, you go watch that product, and if you don't have it, you buy it, right?

So he made that just from the master's course, because guess what? Paul wasn't active here. He was active somewhere else. Also, $100,000 about, you know, say $80,000, $100,000.

We'll say, has passed to me from, okay, Justin, okay? Now, who in here is in Justin's team and has also made a lot of money? Stand up if you're in Justin's team and have made a lot of money in Justin's team. And a lot, let's say you've made over $10,000 in Justin's team, and you're here.

Stand up. Okay, so we got already one, two, come on up, everybody. Everybody who's made over $10,000, come on up, right? In Justin's team, give these guys a hand.

Come on up, come on up. Now, there's more, just not all of them are here, but they're going to be here at the next event, because they're all going to become reactivated, I promise, all right? So, these guys are also in Justin's team. So, go ahead, pass the microphone.

How much did you get? About $450,000. So, these guys now, so now we got Justin. So, these guys have now made $450,000.

Unstoppable family. What a bunch of badasses. Okay? Now, how much have you guys made?

I think we're right around $15,000. Yeah, $15,000. So, these guys have also made over $15,000. Okay?

Just keep passing it down, keep telling me. Tell me your name and how much you've made, just so everybody here knows. My name's Sarita, $76,000. Okay, so we got $76,000.

And then, who else have we got? Nicole Barham, about $30,000. Okay, so we got another. $30,000.

Okay. Robert Brown, about $60,000. About $60,000. Okay.

John Pemberthy, just right around half a million. John Pemberthy. So, we got another $500,000. Vishon Borich, I'm right on the cusp, but he told me to come up $9,700.

$9,700. Okay, that's great. So, we got $9,700. Congratulations.

$9,700. It'll be a lot more. All right. And we got?

$730,000. Okay, so we got Mike Hobbs, right? $730,000, all right. Okay, so that's pretty good.

Now, let me grab a couple of you here. So, do you have any people in your team that have made a lot of money? Okay. That's awesome.

Give her a hand. Number one for the week. All right. Mike Hobbs, you have some people that have made some money on your team?

Like, I've sponsored Robert Brown, who sponsored Travis Holder, who's in here. Travis is in here? Travis, come on up. Come on up.

He's in here? Okay, well, if he's here, he can come on up. Is he here? Kevin Souza.

Right? Now, where do the ripples go to, right? So what? Now, what?

So, what about Dan? Daniel, thank you for the commissions. All right. So, now, what happens from this group, right?

Well, they start sponsoring people. They get people blogging. They start sponsoring people. They get people blogging.

They start sponsoring people. They get people blogging. And we open up the Spanish version all the way through of what we're doing, por ejemplo. Right?

And what happens is, all these people, all of a sudden, all the bilingual people and all their teams all start blogging and marketing in Espanola. And then, all of a sudden, somebody catches a post who's a leader in Mexico, right as their company is going out of business. And all of a sudden… 20 levels down in Mexico, a guy pops up and fills a room with 5,000 people and makes a million dollars. And all of a sudden, that guy starts building.

They start blogging. That guy starts building. They start blogging. And all of a sudden, somebody pops up in Portugal.

All of a sudden, somebody pops up from that in Costa Rica. All of a sudden, somebody pops up in Russia. And this guy, who quit, now becomes responsible, indirectly, for millions of people who've started blogging. millions of active customers.

Hope you quit too, right? Hey, you guys come up here real quick. Come on up here, Kevin and Melissa. Give these guys a hand, Kevin and Melissa.

How deep do the ripples go? So somebody quits, says, I don't want to do Empower Network anymore. And so I inherit Kevin and Melissa Connect. I don't take the guy out.

He just quits. Says, no, no. I don't want it. I want to offer people vouchers instead.

How much have you guys made? 665. So, okay. So that's okay.

I don't mind the commissions. Okay. So let's say, let's say they make 665,000, right? But I've always had a goal with these guys, getting just these guys, for example, okay, to $100,000 a month.

I'd love that, right? You guys love that? Love it. I'm in.

Okay. But what about, what about, let's just say it goes half that. Let's say they make, you know, they'll make 50,000. Because they're a little weird.

You know what I mean? It's a little harder. I'm joking. You guys are awesome.

I'm just giving an example. 100,000 a month. So what happens? Well, all of a sudden, from these guys, all of a sudden, right, if they get to $100,000 a month, as an example, okay, which they can do with what we're doing, and they will because they work hard.

They're not lazy like a lot of Americans are, right? What happens? I'm going to get about $20,000 a month, see our income explosion. From these guys.

Anybody in here like an investment banker or something like that? Like, got any people who sell investments in here? Sell investments for a living? I just want to give you guys an example.

No? You do? How much cash in investments is $20,000 a month worth? So that means just by getting these guys to $100,000 a month, just on that, just on that, somebody quits.

And that worth to me is good. In my book, it's $5 million. There's cash because I'll take the income over the cash any day of the week, right? He's not the only one in that team, for example, right?

You guys got any six-figure earners? You guys got some, don't you? We've got Elena Fraga, who's not here tonight. So shout out to Elena Fraga.

Elena Fraga. Elena Fraga's earned a lot of money. Now, this is an example. This is an example.

So Elena Fraga, right? Elena Fraga, right? These guys come in. They bring in Elena Fraga.

Now, Elena is one of our best leaders in Spanish, right? Right? Telling you the biggest markets are outside the United States. I was walking into a supermarket the other day, and I walked by the meat counter in Costa Rica, and somebody over the meat counter, working as an employee, shouts out, David Wood!

David Wood! Oh, my God! And I was like, you speak English. What's going on?

He says, I've been working on my English since I joined Empower Network, and I didn't know who his sponsor was. Somebody in a different country, who just popped up, and he joined from their blog. Right? And he says, I'm spending all my time and energy outside of work learning how to do this, because I'm going to be a millionaire in Empower Network.

You'll be like me over here in a minute and a half. A butcher, you know? Few weeks ago, I went roller skating for the first, first time since being a teenager. Almost killed myself.

So I'm roller skating arnd there's just this guy following me around in the rollerzoom. It's of course. For what? 40 minutes, Title!!

roller skates, but he's actually good. I'm like this, and he's over there, and he's like, you need some help? And I was like, I got it, right? And he's like, you're Dave Lloyd, aren't you?

Right? I was like, yeah, how you doing? And I started talking to him, and he's like, I'm all in, right? And I was like, who's your sponsor?

He's like, I'm in Big Idea Mastermind. Not sponsored by me, I live there, right? One day, I was in Mexico, in a limo, okay? True story.

Go to Mexico, 2013, I'm in a limo, and I'm a little drunk, okay? A little drunk, so blame this on the drunkenness, but I'm in a limo, and randomly, in Mexico, not kidding, okay? I'm driving in the limo, and then we stop at a discotheque, right? Which is the same thing a nightclub is in the United States, but if you say nightclub in Mexico, it's a disco.

If you say nightclub in Mexico or somewhere else, they take you somewhere else. Anyways, so I opened the door to this discotheque in Mexico. I opened the door to the limo, not kidding, okay? And he goes, and I shut the door, and I was like, go, go, go, right?

I got back on my computer when I was back to the hotel, and I checked, and we had a total of 150 people at the time in Mexico. And one of them happened to be working at a discotheque that I randomly stopped at when I was drunk, okay? Now, there will be a time when just in Mexico, right? We have a quarter of a million active people.

Active. The entire number of people that have ever joined Empower Network. And you know what? A lot of them are going to be in their team.

Thank you, Moni Plush, for the commissions. I'm sorry. Somebody quits. I'm going to ream it.

I don't care. We didn't make him quit, huh? There's another six-figure on our team as well, Greg Onischuk. Greg Onischuk, is he here?

He's here. I don't know if he's in the room. Is he in the room? Come on up.

Come on up, Greg. All right. Now, do you see, do you see, do you see how things play out? There's somebody in Empower Network that will join, write 21 blog posts, quit, and after they quit, their sponsor will inherit a person who joins, writes 21 blog posts, quits.

But after they quit, because blog posts take a while to get out there, somebody's going to read one of their blog posts, join, and they're not going to quit. And that person will sponsor a person who will sponsor a person who will sponsor a person that will put 15,000 people in a room in India. Because it's easier there. They work hard.

So how much have you made? 170,000. Give them a hand. How deep do the ripples go?

How deep do the ripples go? How deep does the rabbit hole go? And which pill would you like to take, is my question, right? I never remember which pill does what when I tell that story, so I always leave that part out, because I don't know.

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I'm like, what if I say the wrong pill and I'm messing up the story?

Is it the red pill that's the magical one? Right? The red pill. Which pill would you like to take?

Let me tell you a story of how I got started online. A guy who had never made a lot of money online ever put a video up on YouTube. At my breaking point, I saw it. I joined.

I have made that guy, I have made that guy every month more money than he had ever made in a month in his life before I joined his team, since I joined it in 2009. I have made him more every month, more every month than he ever earned a month in his life, personally, just me, since I joined his team, and I don't even promote that thing anymore. But he still earns more than he ever earned in his life every month. From something that I haven't touched in years.

Because he put a video on YouTube. How deep do the ripples go? How deep do they go? When we have our organic growth engine back, Empower Network is a magical place, and it's back.

Only now, it's like 100 times better, starting on Tuesday. Give these guys a hand. Thank you. Thank you.

Paul, I love you. You guys can sit down if you like. So how are we going to create 100 millionaires? Here, like that.

Yeah, like that. And I'll talk about it and the rooms will grow. And I'll talk about it and the rooms will grow. And I'll talk about it and the rooms will grow.

And I'll talk about it and the rooms will grow. And I'll talk about it and we'll split into different languages. And I'll talk about it and we'll split into different countries. And I'll talk about it and we'll go into different markets.

And I'll talk about it and the millionaires will increase. and the millionaires will increase. And I'll talk about it, and talk about it, and talk about it. And somebody's going to believe it, and then somebody else is going to believe it, and then somebody else is going to believe it, and then an army is going to believe it.

And then one day we'll be in a room like this but bigger, and the hands will be in the air, and we'll put the lights on in the ceiling, and the sparkling from the million-dollar rings will look like looking into the galaxy in the Hubble Space Telescope, more than you can count. Because that's what we're going to do. Because I want to do it, and I'm going to make it happen. With or without you.

With or without you. Right? Now the question is not what we're going to do. The question is, what are you going to do?

Okay. Eight core commitments. The question is, what are you going to do? You're in a blog, the question is, what are you going to do?

Tell somebody. Spread freedom. Get blogging. Get money.

Get shit done. Something's coming on Tuesday. Whenever you say something's coming, you've got to put, and it's not porno. I actually love the phrase, something big is coming, because that just produces, like, you know, the most amazing image in my brain.

The shit I say, Chris Rushlow. I haven't even mentioned his beautiful blue eyes once tonight. So now, power of vision, folks. See, this is the way, this is the way, you guys, we talk about the, you know, people talk about the secret and the law of attraction, and some people think that that stuff's rubbish, and some people think that there's something to that.

But nobody really knows how anything really works in the world, because we can't process all the information that's around us at all. But I'll tell you what I've observed over the last while in my life, is I have observed that for some reason, when I believe something and start acting on it and keep fighting for it, no matter what happens, when I act like that all the time, whatever I want to create gets created eventually. I run into the right people at the right time, in the right situations, at the only possible second I could meet them, and they're the only person in the world that can do it, and then the magic starts.

For example, when I started this company, I wanted a comp plan that the guy who sold me the software to run our comp plan told me, if you write that comp plan, it will crash the servers, it can't be done. But I went, and I sold Empower Network anyway, but I made people fax me order forms, because the comp plan didn't work. And then it still didn't work, and so what I did was I did a webinar, and I got people to fax me orders, and it still didn't work. And I said, we're launching on Halloween day, and it still didn't work.

And it was Friday, and Halloween was on Monday, and it still didn't work. And I had a quarter million dollars. I had a quarter million dollars in orders on printed order forms that people had faxed me with the excuse that we're in prelaunch, and we're not going to take your order unless you're serious. And if you're serious, you'll take the order form.

We'll take the order form, and then we'll put it in under the sponsor that you have, right, if you're serious. And if you're not serious, and you're not willing to fax in an order form, then I don't want you in. But the real reason was because the comp plan didn't work, right? And then.

Early in the day on Friday, our programmer quit. And truthfully, thank God, because he was awful. And then he left. But I kept talking about it, and talking about it, and believing it could happen.

And I was pretty stressed out, to be honest with you. I had a quarter million dollars in orders for a comp plan that didn't work. I was like, what am I going to do? So, of course, what do I do?

Well, I'm like all programming, and I go into the PHP files on the server on the website, like I can do anything, you know what I mean? And I start looking for the comp plan, like I would even understand what the hell it looked like, you know what I mean? It's like reading a language you don't speak, because programming is a language, right? So I'm reading through the PHP code Friday at 7 o'clock at night, and I see a phone number in the code.

It says, if you have any questions about how this code is written and are working on a website running it, call me. I pick up the phone and call somebody who lives in Norway. They pick up the phone, and five minutes later are logging into our servers, programming the comp plan, and it's finished in a couple of hours. Now, I'll tell you what that is, right?

That's some divine intervention or some shit, I'll tell you. Monday we launch, 500 people come in day one. Month one, we do like a million and a half dollars in sales. And I'm like, holy shit, this is going to work.

So the merchants shut us down, because we were, of course, telling everybody, get your own merchant account. This merchant company, they'll give them to everybody, which of course is not true, they won't. Merchants apparently don't like a whole bunch of network marketers that are not going to keep the merchant account for very long, because they quit everything, right? So they shut us down, and we can't process any orders, but we keep talking about it and talking about it and talking about it, making no money at all.

And then finally, we find another merchant company who says, of course, we want to give everybody a merchant account. It takes us a month longer to negotiate than we think, but we keep talking about Empower, talking about Empower. Everybody thought we were done. This company gives us our merchant accounts, gives 100 people merchant accounts, and then shuts us down the second time.

Now, this is where most people would say, I quit. And in it, but what do I do? I say, I'm going to make a profit. I'm going to make this happen.

And we get on the phone with our lawyer, Kevin. And he says, you know, you've been shut down twice now, and that model just didn't want to work. And he introduces us to a wallet company who then, because they want our business, introduce us to the only merchant in the world that would take us. And the only reason they took us is from a personal favor from the introduction from Kevin, okay?

So they take our business, and we reboot, paying people through an eWallet. But you know what? I would have never gone to that option. I wouldn't have done it if the merchant had kept giving us merchant accounts, because I would have thought it would work forever.

So I want you to think about this for a second. If the bank took any longer to shut down our production of merchant accounts, which they only took three or four weeks, okay, we would have gotten so big, so fast, nobody would have taken us when they shut us down later. If, if they did it any sooner, we wouldn't have had the social proof to keep people around for months of no processing. So it appears to me like at the only possible moment when we could have gotten shut down, we got shut down right then to set us on a path to run into the only solution that would have worked to keep this company around.

holy. Awesome. All right. So may I just say what I I mean…

I know it is, folks. few points. Let's just say it gets to three minutes here. I know great.

the only thing that could have possibly happened to keep this company around is what happened. What do you call that? I don't know if that's the secret, if God's walking around blessing me, ordering things around. I don't know what's going on, but it's like a wizard or something.

It's like Merlin is following us around, like ordering the universe around us. Right? I could give you example after example after example after example after example after example. For example, ENV2.

ENV2, right? Now, people are like, well, God, that thing messed us up. Actually, no. It didn't.

You're like, what do you mean it didn't? You just told me it did. Nope, it didn't. Here's why.

Because, right? If we hadn't launched ENV2, I'll tell you guys something now that the problem is fixed. Right? This is a past tense.

This is a past story. John's like, oh, David, you don't tell him this story. But it doesn't matter. I'm going to just say what I think.

Right? So the previous management of Empower Network, right? I'm not going to mention any names, was really mismanaging the way that our company was run. I'm just telling you, it was fucked up.

Right? Now, we didn't know how messed up it was, and he's probably just in over his head. Right? Never ran a company or anything like this.

It's really complicated dealing with millions of dollars a month in transactions and tens of thousands of affiliates and paying people and stuff like that. So what he did was just when we had money in, he would just like take it and pay for the things that we needed to pay regardless of what part of the company it was coming from. It's like the way the government essentially runs things. Okay?

So, guess what? Well, when we do an accounting reconciliation after that guy quits, okay, we find we need to catch up on like $600,000 of bills in early 2013. Because that works if the company is growing, but doesn't work so well if the company just stops growing for a bit. Right?

If that guy didn't quit at just that moment, we would have been out of business. But guess what else wouldn't have happened? Guess what else wouldn't have happened, would not have happened, if we didn't launch ENV2? Well, because we were launching the ENV2, Vic's in the company, and I call up Vic.

I'm like, hey, man, who, who makes these, you know, launch videos of yours? We want to make some killer-ass launch videos for our launch. He says, the launch men. So, guess what?

We call the launch men and make those videos. Most sick-ass launch ever, except for the product suck, but, you know, whatever. It is what it is. One day we'll have redemption, you know, and, you know, make a version of that that sells like some shit with a cool product, right?

And here's the thing, right? We meet the launch men. Right? Well, we do the launch for ENV2, and, of course, the product sucks, and everybody's like, but guess what happens from that?

Well, we fuck up that thing, but Mars is best friends with who? Jonathan Cronstead. So, I'm talking to Mars in an email, and I think we need a CMO, and I'm like, hey, do you want to be our CMO? And he didn't for private reasons at the time, right?

And I won't get into what they are, right? But guess what? He says, you know, I don't think that you need a CMO right now. I think you really need a CEO.

And guess who he introduces us to? Jonathan Cronstead. So, Jonathan Cronstead comes out to an event that I'm doing in California, talks to me. I convince him to look into being our CEO.

He goes to another event in Orlando, decides to join the company as our CEO, and starts the process of accounting, making reconciliation that, had we not done, we would have been out of business about five months later. And I'm telling you, if we didn't launch ENV2, we would be out of business, because we would have never brought in Jonathan Cronstead. So, what did the launch of ENV2 really do? It saved our company.

Ain't that some shit? Now, guess what else wouldn't have happened if we hadn't launched ENV2? Well, Jonathan Cronstead wouldn't have started working here. So, what would have happened?

Well, Jonathan Cronstead wouldn't have started working here. So, what would have happened? Well, Jonathan Cronstead wouldn't have started working here. And if he wouldn't have started working here, and if some other various things didn't happen in the next year, guess who also wouldn't have worked here?

Mars. Guess who the only CMO in the world is that could be the CMO of Empower Network and actually do remotely close to how badass of a job that guy can do? The only person in the world who could do it is Mars. There is no other human being right now, alive, that could do what he's doing.

So… It appears to me that if we did not launch a blogging platform that completely fucked up almost every area of the company, that we would actually be out of business. Ain't that some shit? Isn't that some shit?

I mean, that's some goddamn shit. You know what I mean? Isn't this amazing? And I could tell you 10,000 more stories, but here's the best part.

This isn't the story. All those things lead all through this period of time to a moment in time that we're in right now. And this moment of time we're in right now has one person sitting in your chair, and that's you. And what is the force, and why are you the one that's in that chair?

And what's going to spring from the decisions that you do or don't make? Because regardless of what you do, it's all working together to create the vision that exists here. And you're going to be a part of it, whether you're rich from it in the future or not. So which one do you want to be?

Daniel, who quit, or Justin Varengia? So Justin Varengia hits me up after the event, and I say, dude, come on down, hang out at my house in Costa Rica. I didn't know at the time, but he actually had a hard time affording the plane tickets to fly across Costa Rica. Could barely afford it.

He couldn't afford his rent. They were stressed as crap. So Justin Varengia takes me up, comes down, flies to Costa Rica, hangs out for a few days, almost drowns. Right?

Makes a different decision when he gets out of that water, realizing any moment can be your last time to take action. Goes out after that, and then he goes out, he makes a million dollars, inspires thousands of people around the world, earns his million-dollar ring. Justin, hold up the ring. Everybody give him a hand.

And guess what? Guess what? There was a moment there, there was a moment there of time where he could have made the decision to not come to my house, but he chose instead to seize the moment of his destiny. And there's somebody in the room today, and guess whose moment it is right now?

It's theirs. It could be somebody sitting next to you. It could be somebody sitting next to them. So you could go ahead and just turn your head to them and say, is it you?

Go ahead. Is it you? Is it you? Who is it?

There's somebody in the room that's, wait, there's somebody in here who's sitting next to a person that'll have a team with 15,000 people. In a room that's just in Korea. Who is it? Okay.

The question is not what we're going to do. The question is what are you going to do? The question not is the greatness that we'll step into. The question is is what greatness are you destined to step into, and are you going to do what it takes to do it or not?

Excuses and results never exist in the same person at the same time. Coming out of this event, there's going to be somebody in here, somebody in here who has their first $10,000 week on Tuesday, in the next seven days after that. Their first time ever. There's somebody in here who's going to go out this year, and they're going to struggle for a little bit, but then figure it out.

And they're going to make six figures this year for the first time in their life. And I know it'll happen because I know how things play out. And there's somebody in here. Who right now, you are supposed to get a million dollar ring.

It's why you're sitting in that chair. There's someone. And you're not going to decide to do what it takes to get it. So it's going to be taken and given to somebody else.

There's somebody in here who's going to be more influential than I am right now. There's somebody in here who's going to recruit better than I was able to recruit ever. There's somebody else in here. Who's more weak.

Weird than Justin Berenji. And you're going to make a million dollars, too. And there's somebody in here who you're going to go back to your hotel tonight. And as you're drifting off into a deep trance, going to sleep, in your dreams, you're going to walk on the stage, get your million dollar ring, and you're going to wake up tomorrow knowing you can do it.

Who in here is pumped up? So I'm back here. Backstage all day doing kung fu. And here, come on up, Sifu.

Come on up. I'm going to bring, bring, do you mind coming up? I don't know if he minds, actually. I didn't ask him.

Right? Well, what's up, man? Thanks for coming. So I hit this guy up randomly.

I've watched his videos on YouTube for a long time. But I hit this guy up randomly on Facebook, like, I don't know, a month and a half ago. And I was like, hey, you want to come to a seminar or something? And he said, yeah.

I'm from the United States. I'm teaching and do kung fu with me. Right? He's like, okay.

Right? So he flies here, right? And I've done martial arts for a long time. And who in here does some kind of martial art?

Look at this. See, a lot of people. A lot of people. Who's here done, like, a martial art for, like, a long time?

Right? Like, Paul, you fought, and he's fought in the ring. That's Paul Gardner. Did I tell you about him?

He's an MMA fighter. Right there. Right? And so, you know, there's a difference between getting around somebody that is, like, a master or something and somebody who just does it.

You know what I mean? And normally, if you're around, like, martial arts, you get around people that, like, they're good. You know what I mean? They've practiced for a long time.

But it's just kind of like anybody else. Right? And sometimes, though, you meet somebody, and you, like, you're sparring with them, maybe, or you're fighting with them. And you literally just feel scared.

You know what I mean? You feel scared. Now, I told him that earlier. I was like, dude, when I touch your hands, I feel scared.

Right? He's like, don't worry. I'm not going to hit you very much. Right?

So, but in any case, in any case, how long have you been doing? Hold on. I have a microphone. I want to point something out here.

Okay? Okay. So, and this is related. The whole thing tonight.

How long have you been doing Kung Fu for? Started in 1972. Now, when he told me that, actually, the first time, I was like, how old is that guy? I mean, were you two?

You know what I mean? So, but anyways, since 1972, he's been doing Kung Fu for. 1972. Right?

It's a long time to do anything. Right? Right. How long did it take you to, before?

You were a Sifu. Sifu means father in Chinese, and it's what you use for, you know, it's like sensei or something like that, or like a master in Japan of karate, right? How long did it take? How many years?

I was nominated Sifu officially in 2008. So, check this out. So, from 1972, when he starts something, all the way to 2008. How many years in that?

Anybody can calculate real quick? 30, 36 years. So, it took him 36 years to master that art, right? 36 years.

I'm 33. So, that means it took him more time than I've been alive. Right? No, I'm serious.

That's a long time. A lot of people, they do something. They try something. They dip their toe in the water.

They're super talented. They get a little result at something. But very few people decide to dedicate themselves to mastery, right? Very few people, okay?

There's people in the room right now. You could create an army of million-dollar earners, but you're just trying it out. And trying something out has one result, and it's quitting. It's quitting.

Trying something out is not going to make you a million dollars. Trying something out is not going to pack a room. Trying something out is not going to make you $100,000 a year. Trying something out is not going to make you a kung fu master either, right?

You have any cool demonstrations or something you could do? I'm just totally putting him on the spot, by the way. I don't know. I just randomly.

You could one-inch punch me or something. That'd be cool. I would actually be scared slightly, but, you know. Well, maybe just an old-fashioned Chinese where you can basically push all your energy onto me and I absorb it on one hand or something like that.

Yeah, could you do it with a lot of people or just flying around? Well, you know, spontaneously like that. I don't know. Maybe we can get one of your security guys up as well.

I mean, there's a lot I could demonstrate, but you caught me off guard. I just want to show you some random trick or something like that. Yeah, sure. Let's do that.

I'll just pick some random people I trust up here. Hey, Chris. Come on up. Paul, come on up.

Oh, God. I'll just pick up random people, right? Toby, come on up. Chris, come on up.

How many, what, four? Is that good? Oh, yeah. Can I get more?

I actually don't know how many I could get because I'm putting him totally on the spot. He's a ninja. Hi, guys. So, what are we going to do?

Try to push you over or something? Well, let's see what I can demonstrate. Have we got three guys or have we got four guys? We'll just use three.

Okay, four. Okay. We have four. It's okay.

Well, all right. Huh? Well, what can I show you? Well, let's try this.

Let's all work in, if you come and put your arm on my arm. Sure. Okay. Yeah, well, both arms.

You don't need to grab. It's what you do. I'll show you how to do it. And you push up, gradually build up the force, right?

So, keep pushing. You can put both hands on it. It doesn't matter. You can put your foot forward if you like.

Use both hands. And the idea is, right, is to push towards my center point. Okay? So, you gradually build up pressure.

Can you hear me? So, you put up, put up, put up. Here, I'll hold this. And just keep pushing.

Hold on. Thanks. I'm not absorbing one of your hands. So, keep pushing.

And you want to come? And if you come on this side, all right? And just… You can put both hands there and push to the same point here.

So, everything's leaving. Oh, they're quite strong. Right. Let me just realign myself.

Okay? And if we get the other guy. And if you can just come here. And the other hand as well.

Okay. Whoops. Sorry. And here we go.

And we're aligned. And start pushing. And I hold you off. Just increase.

I've got one leg. Increase. Increase. And then what I do, if I've got a lot of force to come and success, if I work around…

It's really easy. And… It's called biomechanical work, where you learn to connect the whole body. And it's not…

The trick is this. You guys are working with your arms. So, it's your arms against my whole body that's connected. Does that make sense?

So, I use my whole body against you. And it's an art that you can teach smaller people how to work against stronger and bigger people, which is really cool. Yeah. It's taken me a few years to develop that.

Well, thanks for that. Well, unless you want something else. But I don't really sort of feel like fighting or anything like that as a demo. Yeah.

Any other questions? That's so cool. Oh, thanks very much, guys. So, I just thought that was cool to bring them up and do like a little trick or something like that.

You know what I mean? So… Yeah. Okay.

Okay. Yeah, I'm cool. Give him a hand. Give him a hand.

You're right. I like doing weird stuff. So, all right. So, in any case, in any case, why did I show you that?

There's absolutely no reason, really. So, all the time you'll be wondering, did he show me the secret when that Kung Fu guy was here? And maybe you'll have a dream about Kung Fu tonight. And a Kung Fu master will appear to you and teach you the secret there.

I don't know. But what I do know is this. What I know is this. What I know is this.

What I know is this. What I know is this. What I know is this. What I know is that you are not going to become great unless you make a decision that you are going to become great.

I know that you're not going to be great if you don't make a decision that you're going to be a master. I know that you're not going to become great if you don't make a commitment to do the eight core steps. I know that you're not going to earn a million dollars unless you deserve it. I also know that you are not going to walk across the stage, you're not going to speak in a room, and you're not going to fill auditoriums.

in Korea if you're sitting on the fence and what I also know is the destiny that you're supposed to step into will be taken away and given to somebody who actually deserves it if you don't and what I know is I know what your time is and I know when you're supposed to take the action that you're going to take and I know what that time is and you know what it is it's one two three one two three one two three what are you gonna do it one two three you're gonna do it now you guys excited you're gonna be here tomorrow and pay attention you're gonna stand up you applaud for yourself you're gonna cross the stage you can earn a million dollar ring who nears pumped up who's gonna do it one two three are you gonna do it who's gonna do it who's gonna claim their ring that's it period everybody one two three that's it period that's it period that's it period claim it folks I'll see you tomorrow back in the room

I was like, I actually kind of like this place, you know.

I was kind of feeling grumpy all the whole flight over here because I was like, Las Vegas, I hate that place. It smells like crap. There's porn on the streets. It's like people are walking around like I just lost money, you know what I mean? But then I was like, I like the shows, but that's it.

And then I drive here and I'm like, this looks like Utah or something like that.

But best martial artist, 42 years, which is, you know, nine years longer than I've been alive, right?

I was on a webinar the other day, and somebody was saying that, you know, if you use Google Plus in this certain specific way, and immediately my brain shuts off, is, you know, what happens first.

I got it. They're like, so what's your strategy, Dave? What's your strategy? What are you really doing? Go back to Atlanta, 2012, right?

We're sitting in a room three days before the event starts, and I'm sitting there with Dave Sharp, right? And we're on a couch staring at a whiteboard, and on the whiteboard we put outcome for the event in the upper left-hand corner. We all know outcomes are important. And then we were sitting there, and we're like, so what are we gonna do for three days? And I was like, well, wait, wait, wait, let's not say what we're gonna do, because that's the wrong approach.

I said, what is it that we need to do, right?

Because a lot of this, this really particular strategy stuff, we really teach it to just appease you, right?

Because it's like, you think that you're here to learn that, and you think that's what's important, right?

See, I got a goal simultaneously when I speak: number one, get the people who are supposed to do this to do it, and get the people who don't want to do this to quit. Fend them right out of here, right? I don't care if you don't want to do this. Sometimes people are like, you know, Dave, I'm thinking about quitting, you know, why should I do this? I'm like, just get the fuck out of here now.

You know what I mean? Like, if you don't want to do this, this isn't Amway, and you're not my grandma, so just leave.

You're like, Dave, why do you offend people?

So the question is, do you want to do this or not? And if you want to do it, right, you better get your ass off the fence. You know what I'm saying? Like, and some of you don't think you're on your fence.

You're like, I'm committed, I'm committed, right? And every day you question your decision, and then every day you put off doing the steps for another day, right? And you just keep doing that and doing that and doing that, and you're just, like, sitting around on the fence, right? What's the real sense? There's no secret to closing lots and lots and lots of people.

Doing it a lot. And why are you going to do it a lot? You're going to do it a lot because you're going to do whatever it takes with all your energy and keep changing your strategy and changing your strategy until you're a master, right?

It's really funny being around, trying to figure out what my strategy is. David, what's your secret?

Just tell me what your strategy is. You know what I mean? That's what people are. It's really funny. You know, it's like, who in here has read Think and Grow Rich all the way through, right?

You know, he says like at the beginning of the book, he's like, I am going to tell you a secret in these pages. The secret that's actually the secret of getting rich. Now, I'm not going to directly mention it, but I'm going to mention it on almost every page and almost every chapter in this book. And if you don't pay attention to everything, you might not catch it. You're like, what is it?

What is it? What is it? Right? So you're like, what is it? And you're looking through every page wondering what it is.

And it's amazing how much that gets you to pay attention to the whole book. You know what I mean? Isn't it amazing? Right? It's like people, David, what's the best book for a new person to read right away?

And I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

One thing. My goal is to get you to get your ass off the fence and do one of two things: decide you're going to do this or get the fuck out of here, right?

Now that's not because I actually want you to quit because if you want to do this, I want you to do it, right? But if you don't, isn't it better to get it over with and stop the pain and suffering? I mean, you're welcome to keep the process. You can go buy the products and continue to enjoy them, keep using the blog and enjoy it, and go work at Walmart, work at Safeway, be a lawyer, be a doctor, be a judge, go back to school, right? Decide to become a professional MMA fighter and go train six hours a day.

There's a million things you could do with your life if you don't want to do this. We're not criticizing you. You're not worse if you don't do it. But if you want to do this, I'm telling you right now is the time, right? Right now is the time.

And you need to make a decision to put some money into it. Put all your energy into this if you're gonna do it. You need to get off the fence, okay? Because this next year I know what's gonna happen in Empower Network, and I know what's gonna happen with or without you, okay? You ever heard that song "With or Without You," right?

I like to play that in my car as I'm thinking of you one time, and I think this is a copyright infringement, I probably shouldn't have done it, but there's a long time ago, not in Empower Network, right, I made this video when I went on this vacation to Atlantis where it was basically just obnoxious bragging, you know what I mean, like I'm doing an interview with like Ray Higdon and Rob Fore, members of my team, and just talking about like how fun the beach is, and you know, people saw that and they're just like, me, they're like, I wish I was there. And then at the end, right at the end, I cut together this clip of me traveling back to the mountains in Costa Rica as the song was playing, "With or Without You."

You know what I'm saying? See, I think what I want you to understand is that we're going to create 100 millionaires a year with or without you, with or without you, right? And I'm going to grow this company with or without you. Now, if you're here, it means something about you. It means you're the kind of person that does want to do this, you have the desire to do this, and you're here for different reasons. Some of you are here to learn the secret, some of you are here to meet a mentor, some of you are here because you're excited, some of you don't know why you're here, right, but you're here because you want to make money from home, you want to make money doing this, you want to change your life. In your heart you want to learn something that's going to transform you.

And I remember how frustrating it used to be for me sitting in the audience listening, right, and I was out there and I was working and working and working, and I just felt like something was missing, and I was just like, okay, this is where I want to go, and I just wanted to be here, and it was worth it, looking for that missing thing.

I said he was a shame to his family, you know, things like that, trying to manipulate him, but he still gave me the ticket because his boss, right? And I got that thing, and tried to go back to sleep, and I couldn't. My heart was pounding, and I was holding my fist like this, laying on the floor of my van, I'm fucking changing something right fucking now. You know what happened after that day?

I worked differently, right? All of a sudden, it wasn't going to happen in the future. I didn't see myself being a diamond in five years, all of a sudden right now this is changing, enough's enough. Who in here has had enough right now? That's the thing, when you get to a point where you make a decision you've had enough, right, and you're gonna do it no matter what, that's my aim all the time, is to get you to make a decision, right?

How much does life need to beat a person up, you know, before they decide to change? Usually almost to a breaking point. That's how most people are. That's how I am, truthfully, right? I got to get to a point where I've gone so low that I almost crack, sometimes for something like that, like I almost break inside, right? What happened to Paul Gardner, got sent to a crazy hospital, right, had a cracking point. Didn't you? Can you change? I want you guys in here to realize the time that you're in right now, right? The time that you're in.

See how Empower Network really started, this is why the company started, this is the story of its creation, all right? I've told this a million times, maybe I'll say something now a little bit differently, and if you pay attention carefully I may just uncover the secret that you've been looking for. So I'd been trying to do home business for seven years, had a lot of problems and a lot of stuff didn't work, almost made no money at all, one time made a few thousand dollars a month and then it disappeared again because what I was doing was stupid. And then 2009, discovered some stuff and I started making a lot of money real fast, three months I was up to twenty, thirty thousand bucks a month after doing what I'll tell you I did tonight, right? That's how long it took, it took me three months to get to thirty thousand bucks a month, right? That's it.

And then I started making thirty thousand, forty thousand, fifty thousand a month for the next two or three years, and I was frustrated watching my organization, right, it was like watching paint dry trying to get people to succeed. Anybody ever built a team and experienced something like that? You look at him and you're like, why aren't you succeeding, right, and you just don't know what's going on, right? Now I kept making money, I was teaching them everything that I was doing, I was showing them my private back-linking strategy, I was showing them how to set up their websites, I was showing them my secrets to selling stuff, you know what I mean, and it's like, guys, go do it, you know, I mean, go. And it's like they're sitting here saying, no, I don't want to. Not really, that's not what was happening, right?

So I tried different things for like the next two years to try to get my team to succeed, and then I reached another breaking point in 2011, early on in the year, right, where I was like, if I can't help people succeed at doing this, I'm just gonna quit and go be homeless again, this sucks, right? I'm not gonna do this and just make money and try to teach people to make money and have it never work, you know I mean. I was like, that sucks, right? I felt like, at that point, I'd been doing it for so long, it's like I feel like I'm selling thin air to these people because they can't do it, you know I mean. Now probably none of you have ever felt like that before, you're like, I wish I was making 30 or 40 thousand dollars a month without a team succeeding and felt that way, right? But for me that sucked, right?

So what did I do about it? I stopped marketing for like almost three months. I didn't send any emails out, didn't write any blog posts, didn't do any conference calls. I just kind of disappeared, right? Now some of you might even remember that if you're on my list back then, I literally just vanished. I didn't even check how much money I was making during those months, right.

But a couple months later something amazing happened. I went back and I just checked how much money I would have been making, and it had actually gone up, right? Serious, like I'm serious, my income had increased doing absolutely completely nothing, and I was totally perplexed by that. I was like, what the hell just happened, right? Now you're like, I wish I had this problem, right? And I was like, what's going on here?

But I realized something when I saw that, and here's what I realized. I realized that the way that I was doing things was special, okay? And I thought about all the people out there, I was like, what if I could just take this and I could give people a business like this? I was like, this is a fantasy, I've not done anything for three months, I've been depressed because I can't get my team to succeed, you know what I mean, and I've been off walking through the mountains and walking along the beach and, you know, thinking and wondering, you know, what's the future going to be like, and how can I help people, and I wonder if this is really going to work for them. And then I come back after that and my income had increased, I just kept sponsoring two to three to four people a day doing nothing at all, right?

And I looked at that and I was like, this is powerful. And I was thinking about that for the next few days, and I was walking through the mountains just wondering, how can I create a business like this for other people? This really is a fantasy. And then I had like a lightning bolt of inspiration come into my head, that the real problem that I was having was actually really simple, and here's what it is, let me explain it, right? And this is the problem that I struggled with in my business, and I was like, I'm going to do this, and I'm going to start a business, for two years, after I figured out how to do it, right?

The problem was this: people are here, they want to be here, and in order to be able to get here, there's a massive-ass learning curve that's too intense for most people, so before they produce any results at all, any results, it's six months into their business the way I was teaching them. And the problem is most people quit before they ever get to six months, right? So I kept having to replace people faster than they were quitting, because they were quitting before they could ever get any result at all. So I was like, how do I take this learning curve of this six month time, and how do I just get it to where these people, maybe they don't get this result here, but these people go out and they could earn commissions, right, without understanding how any of this works at all?

And that was literally the first thing I did. I was like, I'm going to do this, right? I'm going to make this really my goal. I said, I want people to come in to be able to create a business, and they're not going to make a hundred thousand a month yet, but I want them to come in and I want them to get a result before they understand what's happening. I want them to say, I wonder where this commission came from, and really not have any clue how they made it. I want them to make a thousand bucks one day and say, what just happened, right?

And the key to doing that was to take all the complicated stuff, all the complexity of it that I was teaching, and to cut that out of the picture entirely, so all people had to do was work, right? So here's what happened: rather than telling people to make sales videos, we made a process that sold for them, and they just had to get enough people to see it for it to work. Rather than telling people to set up a blog, what did I do? I built the blogging platform where they just had to buy it and then start blogging on it, right? Rather than telling them to make a product, we just made products and paid them more commissions on it. Rather than telling them to go out and start their own conference calls and webinars, we did the conference calls and webinars and upsold their team for them without them having to understand how it works.

So literally all they had to do was get in, blog daily, tell others, and get money, right? That was the model, right? And it worked better than I thought it would work, because all of a sudden people were getting the results I was getting, but they didn't have a clue why. In fact, most of the people in Empower Network that have earned two and three and four hundred thousand dollars understand about five percent of why they've made that much money. Mars came into the company, right, and one of the first things he said after about a month of talking to people is, he's like, this is the most amazing thing I've been around. He's like, I get around people who have made like a million dollars, or five hundred thousand dollars, or seven hundred thousand dollars, or two hundred thousand dollars, and they really don't understand how, they just want to make money, and they just want those results back, they don't know how it worked. He says, I've never been around people that make money like this without understanding how it worked, right?

See, that's the key to growing a big organization. So we come out, we launch ENV2, and this is all leading into where we are right now, right? The first version of what we created brought like 200,000 people into the company and did over a hundred million dollars in sales without changing anything at all, okay, because that was the model. So we launch ENV2, and what was the problem with what we created? Truthfully, I'm just going to be honest with you guys here for a second, right? The problem was, it's like we had this engine of this car, right?

Let me explain, okay. Back in 2013, okay, around April time, I use that month just because I've checked and I remember the figures around that time, we had eight hundred and fifty thousand people a month clicking on a blog post from Google search all the way through to a sales video. Nobody knew that. I mean, I didn't know what was working that good, I had to go through and look at analytics for a month, and I was like, holy crap, right? People were signing up, and they didn't know how, right? You guys around, you remember, you're signing people up, you're like, where are all these people coming from? Lawrence Tam is like, I'm signing up like 60 people a month, and then all of a sudden it stopped. He's like, where'd they go?

Eight hundred and fifty thousand people a month clicking to a blog post from a search, that's not all the traffic that was going to that sales video. We actually had more traffic than that coming from paid sources, but it was blogging that was signing all the people up, all of them, I mean 95% of them. All the guys in Empower Network that thought they made all their money from paid advertising actually made 95% of their money from downline that were quitting and still had blog posts, and they just inherited all the traffic and never knew about it. Ain't that some shit, right?

So what we did in Empower, and this is, you know, ill-advised, right, I could really get into the story why, but it'd be blaming, and I don't like to blame anybody but me for things, because if I take responsibility I can change it, and if I don't I can't, right? So what happens is we launch ENV2, right, and nobody liked it. So they all stopped blogging. But also it didn't work very well, and also we took away all our organic traffic. That's the truth, right?

So our 2014, after we launched ENV2, it looked like this: we're trying to get the results that we had before we launched ENV2, but without all of the organic traffic that was coming from the first version of Empower Network, right? Therefore the results from ENV1 were impossible to recreate. We got rid of all of our organic traffic. It's impossible, right? We took it out.

It's like this is what we were doing, and I want to use a metaphor here because I like metaphors. It's like we were driving this car down the road, right, and one day we pulled over, we stopped at a gas station, right, and then a UFO flew by and teleported out the engine, replacing it with a central air conditioning unit. And I go into the gas station, you see a bright light and turn around and nothing's there, right, go back in the car, stick the keys in and it won't turn on. Now I'm not a mechanic, unfortunately, so if you actually replace an engine in a Ferrari with a central air conditioning unit, I wouldn't know what was wrong with it, right? I'd just be like, why isn't it working, and kick it or something like that, right?

So I'm trying to start the car, and I'm turning the key and pushing on the gas, and turning the key and pushing on the gas, right? I'm like, why isn't this thing working the way that I want it to work? But then I look through the analytics and I was like, there's no fucking engine in this thing, right? See, what most network marketing companies do, they tell you to talk to your friends and family, why, because their target market is like this big, so if you don't talk to your friends and family, they're gonna do five million dollars maybe a year in sales or something like that. But if they get people growing organically through meetings and things like that, and it's spreading through communities, they're not limited to a target market, so they can keep growing and growing. Well, since we never did those things and we grew like that anyway, people outside of us always wondered how, and, you know, blogging is our replacement for that, that's why we've never needed to do it, right?

So anyways, we take the engine out of our car, and the second that I figured that out, right, I just went to work trying to replace it, right, and it took us all year, right, up until about a week ago, when all of our organic results just start coming back and we're going again, we're going the same way we went before. Some of you have already noticed it, right, some of you already noticed it, but what's gonna happen next is really exciting, okay, and I want you guys to understand this stuff, because I want you to understand what you're gonna lose out on if you don't take action right now. If you take a year to make a decision, if you take two years to make your decision, I just wanted you to understand what you're going to lose. You're going to lose the same thing people in Atlanta lost who didn't take action, right?

That's what you're going to lose out on, right? What did they lose out on? We created 15 millionaires from that event, okay?

That event produced 15 millionaires and $100 million in sales. That event. Why? Because that event really was the birth of a company, the same way this event is the birth of the New Empower Network. We have a lot of advantages now that we've never had before.

A whole bunch. And I'll talk about a bunch of them tonight. And you're going to learn about a bunch of them tomorrow. But I want you guys to really understand what's about to happen, because we've just started to get the organic growth back in Empower Network, but it's going to take on a whole new life on Tuesday.

Silvia was like, oh, yes, Dave, I'm excited.

I told them. Idiots.

Okay? I got a whiteboard like that I put on my porch.

I turned the camera on and I walked over to the whiteboard and did five hours of presentations. Selling each product as somebody went through the funnel. Right? Somebody would join Empower Network, then they'd go to a presentation for the Inner Circle. Right?

So they'd join, and then the Inner Circle presentation went like this. How would you like to be able to earn five times the money? Right? And then I start telling the dream of being able to sell the Inner Circle, and then painting out what it looks like when you get one, and then they get a bunch of people.

Right? And then they go through that, and then they go through another one that lasts an hour and a half. And they're all basically the same presentation, except each one increases the commissions. Right? That was our sales funnel.

You know what I mean? Now that's cool and all, right, and it was effective because, I'm going to tell you why it was effective, it was effective because the amount of people who were looking at it.

Right? So what we have, and I'm not going to get into a lot of it, I just want to explain to you what we've got, okay, because you've got to pay attention to Mars' presentation tomorrow.

We've got an offer going live that has two different front ends. Okay? One of them is like basically speaks to a massive, wide audience. And one of them is like, you know, a hit hard and fast offer.

Right? So that's just one of them. Right? Now, you guys are going to see some cool stuff tomorrow. Right?

And after people join, and you guys got to sit through and watch Mars' speech about it, they go through the most badass upsell sequence that I've ever seen. It's an entirely new kind of funnel.

That's better marketing than we have now.

Lawrence Tam was in that room.

Right?

Because what happens, you know, I had, at one point in my life, I went to churches a lot, right? And there was a pastor one time that was talking about gifts from God and callings from God, right? Anointings, he called them. And he said, when God gives you an anointing to do something amazing in your life and you don't do it, what does he do? He takes it away and he gives it to someone else.

Right? If you don't love your wife, what happens? She gets loved by somebody else. Sorry. Right?

You're like, that's not true. Yes, it is. It is. Okay? When you don't go out there and take the action you're supposed to take, guess what happens?

It gets taken by somebody else. And you win. And you watch them walk across the stage and get their million dollar ring and say that was supposed to be mine, and you're right.

All of you.

You haven't put your energy into something, all your energy, for a really long time.

Right? But the reality was he wasn't putting all his energy into what he was doing. He had kind of lost his heart. He had kind of lost his hope.

Right? The reason I'm telling you this right now is because now is the time to have your hope back. Okay? Now is the time to take action. Now is the time, now is the time.

Right now is the time to create a revolution. Right now is the time to step into the leader that you always knew you could be. Right now is your time. Right now is your time to claim your million-dollar ring, to say I can do this.

Right? The tragedy is, some of you know that and you won't.

Whatever you do, whatever you're going to do with your life, you should be the best at that you can possibly be.

Right? If you're going to build Empower Network, you should do it with all your energy. Don't get me wrong, you're welcome to hang out here if you want to do that. But don't pretend hanging out here is building it with all of your energy, because it's not. It's different.

Totally different. Does that make sense to everybody in here? All right. I'm talking a little bit strong, right? But the reason is because what I know is about to happen, because I'm going to tell you something, guys.

Empower Network is back right now. Now, the reason I know that is because I look at the numbers every day. Okay? Right? And I'm telling you what's going to happen to that company.

That's just Monday. Okay? Just on Monday, right? There was like 30 or something of those over 2,000 on Monday, right? Monday, I think we did like a quarter million dollars in sales one day, right?

Every single day through the year, and it's going to keep growing like this, because now we've got the things that work for Empower Network down to a process, and the people that are going to be responsible for creating this, which are going to be people in this room, maybe even somebody sitting next to you, maybe somebody sitting next to them, maybe it's even you, right? They're going to be the ones who make all the money, right? I'm a different kind of a guy, and especially if you know me well, people who know me well think I'm even weirder than you think I am if you don't know me well, right? Right, Chris?

It's true. You're like, you know, being around me is like being in a South Park episode. It really is. You know what I mean? It really is.

It's like a South Park episode blessed by Jesus and his super friends, if you've seen that one. Four people got there. There you go. Right? But I'm just telling you, one of the things that's unique about me is I just, when I lock on to a vision, I do it no matter what.

No matter what. I don't care if it takes me a year. I don't care if it takes me two years. I don't care if it takes me five, ten, or twenty.

It doesn't matter how long it takes because I'm going to get it done. That's it. Period. It will happen. And I'm going to tell you what's going to happen in the future for Empower Network, because it's what I want to do, regardless of whether you want to do it or not: in this company, there will be a day when we are creating a hundred new millionaires a year.

En ese crucero, hay 15,000.

500 personas de Herbalife. 500. That's 500 people in Herbalife. Right?

Who's pumped up about that? Not bad, huh? That's what happens when you have, you know, you talk to Costa Rican people all day. You know, you have Costa Rican family, you're like, what the hell are you talking about, until you finally learn the language, right?

So it is then logical that we get a millionaire about every $10 million in sales, which is not normal for a network marketing company. Absolutely not. Not a network marketing company at all. This is not normal.

This is something special. So it takes us about $10 million to create a millionaire. So, on our way to our first $1.5 billion in sales, we are going to create our first hundred extra millionaires. And then, on our way to $1.5 billion a year, they're going to start churning out so fast, nobody in here, even the memory experts, will be able to remember all of their names.

Yeah. We don't even need a traffic rotator. Honestly, Doobly can kiss my fucking ass. Some of you are like, what's he talking about?

It's not important. Don't worry about it. I hope you got a YouTube video of that, honestly. The other day, right, I was talking to somebody and I was like, so what happened to that thing? Because, like, they were everywhere and then just disappeared.

And he's like, oh, dude, nobody's staying on the subscription, they're just dropping like flies. And I was like, who told you? Who told you that would happen a month and a half ago? Who told you when it would happen?

People fall for anything. Anyways. So $150 million in sales churns out 15 millionaires approximately. See our income disclosure. We're not going to guarantee you're going to be one.

Therefore, $1.5 billion churns out 100. Okay. And $1.5 billion a year, that'll take a little time. It's okay.

That churns out at least 100 new ones a year.

He talked about that, and talked about it, and the rooms grew and grew and grew, and people joined and quit, and joined and quit, and joined and quit, and he talked about it for 30 years.

And then, all of a sudden, this happens: 100 diamonds a year just in India. And then, something he'd been talking about for 30 years, 100 diamonds, and then 200 in a year, then 300 in a year, then 400 in a year, then 500, and 600, and 700 in a year. Something that took him 30 years, right? That, to me, is impressive.

But you know what? What I'd like to do is create 100 millionaires a year, and that's a start. And it'll start speeding up, right? And whoever is the lucky bastard that makes these rings are going to be fucking rich. And then we're going to have to make a different version for all the Islamic countries, right?

Because in Islam, they can't wear platinum, right? So next time Shakir, for example, comes to an event, he's getting a special one.

And then he was like, you mean you're going to make me a special ring?

I just want to make sure you understand that at this point now, listening to the sound of my voice.

So if you want to be there, because I would like you there with us, don't miss out. Ron Perez, too, actually. He runs another organization, but he was part of Bill Britt's organization. Ron Perez was creating 100 millionaires a year just in India. Or 100 diamonds a year just in Korea, too.

Right? Now, I've got to tell you this story because this story is fascinating. Right? And then I'm going to tell you a story of mine to tell you how this is really going to play, as we march into a new future together.

Right? So Ron Perez, right, gets a customer in Amway, like 35, 40 years ago now. Right? A customer.

Gets a customer. Right? One day, Ron calls up this customer and he says, you know what? You've been buying these products for like, you know, years. Right?

You've been buying these products. But he gets a customer, somebody who says, no, I don't want to do that. And then the person buys. They buy the products.

Probably because they felt sorry for them. But then really likes the soap and keeps ordering it for years and years and years. So Ron calls them one day and says, you know, I've been ordering this for years, why don't I sign you up as a rep? You're going to get like a 30% discount.

Right? So this Amway strategy, right, I actually really like Amway. I'm never making fun of it, really, because I respect it big time.

Right? I can't disrespect something that's doing like a billion dollars a month, you know what I mean, and still growing after 70 years or something like that. So anyways, he calls up this customer, he calls up this customer, and says, why don't you be a rep, do you get this stuff? And the person's like, I get a discount?

And he's like, yeah, you get a discount. Right? Well, now they're a rep. Right? This is a true story.

Right? So now this person goes from a customer, right, now they're a rep. So that's what he does then.

He says, you know what? I could actually help you make some money. I'm going to come over to your house like next Thursday or so. You have anything going on? They're like, no.

Why? I said, invite a bunch of your friends over to your house. He says, I'm going to come over and help you get a discount, you know, stuff for free, and help you make some money too. And the person says, do I have to do anything?

He's like, no. Just invite people over. I'll do all of it. Right? So this person, who's now a rep, says, yeah, whatever.

Right? Well, then the person tries to back out of it. Right? They're like, oh, crap, because Ron was coming over.

But what he used to do is turn off his phone before he would drive to the meeting. Right? So then he tries to call, you know, Ron's wife, and she's like, what do you mean you're trying to cancel the meeting? Ron's already on his way. And the person goes, oh, crap, and she goes, if you don't invite people over, he's gonna be mad.

You don't want to do that to Ron. He's taking time out of the night. You better invite people. And the guy's like, so he runs around to the trailer park, invites a bunch of people over, right? So Ron goes over, right? Ron goes over to this person's house, who's now a rep who's panicking to invite people to a meeting. But this isn't our strategy.

This is just, I think, a funny story, because I'm gonna tell you guys after this, one of my stories, right, and it's gonna freak you out, right, how predictable this kind of thing is when you go into an organization the right way. So anyways, they've been panicking, inviting people over, so like all these people, like 15 people, come over from the trailer park, because he's like, this millionaire's coming over, and if I don't invite people he's gonna be mad, right? And they're like, I want to see what he's talking about.

You know, he pulls up in this big ass fancy car to a trailer park, you know? Anyways, so these 15 people show up, and Ron goes in there, he does a meeting, right? This guy's an impressive character, you know what I'm saying? But this person was a customer for like 10 or 15 or 20 years or something, like a long time, just sitting there, right? And guess what his name is?

Leonard Kim. And when Amway opened Korea, he moved back home, and they had to invent a new rank for him. It was like a diamond 200, because he created 200 diamonds a year, 25 or 30 years later, after getting that customer.

So what happens is now this person's out of the way, right? Daniel, he quits. And he comes to Paul Hutchings. Paul, how much have you made in Empower Network now?

What's that? How much have you made total here? $438,000. So $438,000. Now, okay, so the way that it works in Empower is, you, as a sponsor, you end up earning about a fifth of what your leaders earn from them, because they pass out one out of five.

So guess how much I made from his business in Empower Network? Well, you divide that into a fifth. I can't quite calculate that, but, you know, master menace, $100,000. Right? So, but, now, here's the thing.

So Paul joins Empower Network, sends people into it for a good month or two, right? And then he's like, this is distracting from my vitamin deal, which is fine, right? Because he wasn't committed yet, right?

But, see, Paul wasn't focused on Empower Network, right? But Justin was, because he came to my house, and I helped Justin make a lot of money. This is the taproot.

Who in here has actually watched the Team Builder Formula product, right? This is the taproot principle in play. Now, those of you who don't understand that, you go watch that product, and if you don't have it, you buy it, right? So he made that just from the master's course, because guess what? Paul wasn't active here.

He was active somewhere else. Also, $100,000 about, you know, say $80,000, $100,000, we'll say, has passed to me from, okay, Justin, okay? Now, who in here is in Justin's team and has also made a lot of money? Stand up if you're in Justin's team and have made a lot of money in Justin's team.

Stand up. Okay, so we got already one, two, come on up, everybody.

Unstoppable family. What a bunch of badasses. Okay? Now, how much have you guys made? I think we're right around $15,000.

Yeah, $15,000. Okay? Just keep passing it down, keep telling me. Tell me your name and how much you've made, just so everybody here knows. My name's Sarita, $76,000.

Okay, so we got $76,000. And then, who else have we got? Nicole Barham, about $30,000. Okay, so we got another $30,000.

Okay. Robert Brown, about $60,000. About $60,000. Okay. John Pemberthy, just right around half a million.

John Pemberthy. So, we got another $500,000. Vishon Borich, I'm right on the cusp, but he told me to come up, $9,700.

And so on.

And we open up the Spanish version all the way through of what we're doing, por ejemplo. Right? And what happens is, all these people, all of a sudden, all the bilingual people and all their teams all start blogging and marketing in Español. And then, all of a sudden, somebody catches a post who's a leader in Mexico, right as their company is going out of business. And all of a sudden 20 levels down in Mexico, a guy pops up and fills a room with 5,000 people and makes a million dollars.

And all of a sudden, that guy starts building. They start blogging. And all of a sudden, somebody pops up in Portugal. All of a sudden, somebody pops up from that in Costa Rica. All of a sudden, somebody pops up in Russia. And this guy, who quit, now becomes responsible, indirectly, for millions of people who've started blogging, millions of active customers. Hope you quit too, right?

Hey, you guys come up here real quick. Come on up here, Kevin and Melissa. Give these guys a hand, Kevin and Melissa. How deep do the ripples go? So somebody quits, says, I don't want to do Empower Network anymore.

And so I inherit Kevin and Melissa. I don't take the guy out, he just quits, says, no, no, I don't want it. I want to offer people vouchers instead. How much have you guys made? 665. So, okay. So that's okay.

I don't mind the commissions. Okay. So let's say they make 665,000, right? I'd love that, right? You guys love that?

Love it. I'm in. Okay. But let's just say it goes half that, let's say they make, you know, they'll make 50,000.

Because they're a little weird, you know what I mean, it's a little harder, I'm joking, you guys are awesome.

I'm just giving an example. So what happens? They're not lazy like a lot of Americans are, right? What happens from these guys?

Anybody in here like an investment banker or something like that? Like, got any people who sell investments in here? Sell investments for a living? I just want to give you guys an example. No?

You do? And that's worth to me, that's good, in my book, it's $5 million, there's cash, because I'll take the income over the cash any day of the week, right? He's not the only one in that team, for example, right?

You guys got some, don't you? We've got Elena Fraga, who's not here tonight. So shout out to Elena Fraga. Elena Fraga's earned a lot of money.

Now, this is an example. So Elena Fraga, right, these guys come in, they bring in Elena Fraga. Now, Elena is one of our best leaders in Spanish, right? I'm telling you, the biggest markets are outside the United States. I was walking into a supermarket the other day, and I walked by the meat counter in Costa Rica, and somebody over the meat counter, working as an employee, shouts out, David Wood!

David Wood! Oh, my God! And I was like, you speak English? What's going on? He says, I've been working on my English since I joined Empower Network, and I didn't know who his sponsor was.

Somebody in a different country, who just popped up, and he joined from their blog. Right? And he says, I'm spending all my time and energy outside of work learning how to do this, because I'm going to be a millionaire in Empower Network. You'll be like me over here in a minute and a half. A butcher, you know?

A few weeks ago, I went roller skating for the first time since being a teenager. Almost killed myself. So I'm roller skating and there's just this guy following me around in the rink. Of course. For, like, 40 minutes, I'm on roller skates, but he's actually good. I'm like this, and he's over there, and he's like, you need some help? And I was like, I got it, right? And he's like, you're Dave Wood, aren't you?

True story. Went to Mexico, 2013, I'm in a limo, and I'm a little drunk, okay? A little drunk, so blame this on the drunkenness, but I'm in a limo, and randomly, in Mexico, not kidding, okay?

I'm driving in the limo, and then we stop at a discotheque, right, which is the same thing a nightclub is in the United States, but if you say nightclub in Mexico, they take you somewhere else. Anyways, so I opened the door to this discotheque in Mexico, not kidding, okay?

And he goes, and I shut the door, and I was like, go, go, go, right? I got back on my computer when I was back at the hotel, and I checked, and we had a total of 150 people at the time in Mexico. And one of them happened to be working at a discotheque that I randomly stopped at when I was drunk, okay? Now, there will be a time when just in Mexico, right, we have a quarter of a million active people.

Active. That's out of the entire number of people that have ever joined Empower Network. And you know what? A lot of them are going to be on their team. Thank you, Moni Plush, for the commissions.

I'm sorry. Somebody quits, I'm going to ream it. I don't care. We didn't make him quit, huh?

Greg Onischuk, is he here? He's here. I don't know if he's in the room. Is he in the room? Come on up.

Come on up, Greg. All right. Now, do you see how things play out? There's somebody in Empower Network that will join, write 21 blog posts, quit, and after they quit, their sponsor will inherit a person who joins, writes 21 blog posts, quits. But after they quit, because blog posts take a while to get out there, somebody's going to read one of their blog posts, join, and they're not going to quit.

And that person will sponsor a person who will sponsor a person who will sponsor a person that will put 15,000 people in a room in India. Because it's easier there. They work hard. So how much have you made? 170,000.

Give them a hand. How deep do the ripples go? How deep does the rabbit hole go? And which pill would you like to take, is my question, right?

I never remember which pill does what when I tell that story, so I always leave that part out, because I don't know. I don't know.

I joined. I have made that guy every month more money than he had ever made in a month in his life before I joined his team, since I joined it in 2009. I have made him more every month than he ever earned in a month in his life, personally, just me, since I joined his team, and I don't even promote that thing anymore.

Like that. Yeah, like that. And I'll talk about it and the rooms will grow.

And I'll talk about it and we'll split into different languages. And I'll talk about it and we'll split into different countries. And I'll talk about it and we'll go into different markets. And I'll talk about it and the millionaires will increase. And I'll talk about it, and talk about it, and talk about it, and somebody's going to believe it, and then somebody else is going to believe it, and then somebody else is going to believe it, and then an army is going to believe it.

Whenever you say something's coming, you've got to put, and it's not porno, I actually love the phrase, something big is coming, because that just produces, like, you know, the most amazing image in my brain. The shit I say, Chris Rushlow. I haven't even mentioned his beautiful blue eyes once tonight.

So now, power of vision, folks. See, this is the way, you guys, we talk about the, you know, people talk about the secret and the law of attraction, and some people think that stuff's rubbish, and some people think that there's something to that.

But I went and I sold Empower Network anyway, but I made people fax me order forms, because the comp plan didn't work. And then it still didn't work, and so what I did was I did a webinar, and I got people to fax me orders, and it still didn't work. And I said, we're launching on Halloween day, and it still didn't work. And it was Friday, and Halloween was on Monday, and it still didn't work.

And I had a quarter million dollars in orders on printed order forms that people had faxed me with the excuse that we're in prelaunch, and we're not going to take your order unless you're serious. And if you're serious, you'll take the order form, we'll take the order form, and then we'll put it in under the sponsor that you have, right, if you're serious. And if you're not serious, and you're not willing to fax in an order form, then I don't want you in.

But the real reason was because the comp plan didn't work, right? And then, early in the day on Friday, our programmer quit. And truthfully, thank God, because he was awful. And then he left.

But I kept talking about it, and believing it could happen. And I was pretty stressed out, to be honest with you. I had a quarter million dollars in orders for a comp plan that didn't work. I was like, what am I going to do? So, of course, what do I do?

Well, I'm like, all programming, and I go into the PHP files on the server on the website, like I can do anything, you know what I mean?

So they shut us down, and we can't process any orders, but we keep talking about it and talking about it, making no money at all.

But what do I do? I say, I'm going to make this happen.

If they did it any sooner, we wouldn't have had the social proof to keep people around for months of no processing.

So it appears to me like at the only possible moment when we could have gotten shut down, we got shut down right then to set us on a path to run into the only solution that would have worked to keep this company around. Awesome, all right. So, let me just say what I mean, folks. A few points, let's just say we get to three minutes here. I know, great.

The only thing that could have possibly happened to keep this company around is what happened. What do you call that? I don't know if that's the secret, if God's walking around blessing me, ordering things around. I don't know what's going on, but it's like a wizard or something. It's like Merlin is following us around, ordering the universe around us. Right?

I could give you example after example after example. For example, ENV2. ENV2, right? Now, people are like, well, God, that thing messed us up. Actually, no.

It didn't. You're like, what do you mean it didn't? You just told me it did. Nope, it didn't. Here's why.

Because, right, if we hadn't launched ENV2, I'll tell you guys something now that the problem is fixed. Right? This is past tense. This is a past story.

John's like, oh, David, don't tell this story.

So what he did was just when we had money in, he would just take it and pay for the things that we needed to pay regardless of what part of the company it was coming from.

But guess what else wouldn't have happened, if we didn't launch ENV2? Well, because we were launching the ENV2, Vic's in the company, and I call up Vic. I'm like, hey, man, who makes these launch videos of yours? We want to make some killer-ass launch videos for our launch.

He says, the launch men. So, guess what? We call the launch men and make those videos. Most sick-ass launch ever, except for the product suck, but, you know, whatever. It is what it is.

One day we'll have redemption, you know, and make a version of that sells like some shit with a cool product, right? And here's the thing, right? We meet the launch men. Right? Well, we do the launch for ENV2, and, of course, the product sucks, and everybody's like, but guess what happens from that?

Well, we fuck up that thing, but Mars is best friends with who? Jonathan Cronstead. So, I'm talking to Mars in an email, and I think we need a CMO, and I'm like, hey, do you want to be our CMO? And he didn't, for private reasons at the time, right? And I won't get into what they are, right?

But guess what? He says, you know, I don't think that you need a CMO right now. I think you really need a CEO. And guess who he introduces us to? Jonathan Cronstead.

So, Jonathan Cronstead comes out to an event that I'm doing in California, talks to me. I convince him to look into being our CEO. He goes to another event in Orlando, decides to join the company as our CEO, and starts the process of accounting reconciliation that, had we not done it, we would have been out of business about five months later. And I'm telling you, if we didn't launch ENV2, we would be out of business, because we would have never brought in Jonathan Cronstead. So what did the launch of ENV2 really do?

It saved our company. Ain't that some shit? Now, guess what else wouldn't have happened if we hadn't launched ENV2? Well, Jonathan Cronstead wouldn't have started working here.

So it appears to me that if we did not launch a blogging platform that completely fucked up almost every area of the company, that we would actually be out of business.

Goes out after that, makes a million dollars, inspires thousands of people around the world, earns his million-dollar ring. Justin, hold up the ring.

Everybody give him a hand. And guess what? There was a moment there of time where he could have made the decision to not come to my house, but he chose instead to seize the moment of his destiny. And there's somebody in the room today, and guess whose moment it is right now?

It's theirs. It could be somebody sitting next to you. It could be somebody sitting next to them. So you could go ahead and just turn your head to them and say, is it you? Go ahead.

Is it you? Is it you? Who is it? There's somebody in the room that's, wait, there's somebody in here who's sitting next to a person that'll have a team with 15,000 people, in a room that's just in Korea.

Who is it? Okay. The question is not what we're going to do. The question is what are you going to do? The question is not the greatness that we'll step into.

The question is what greatness are you destined to step into, and are you going to do what it takes to do it or not? Excuses and results never exist in the same person at the same time, for the first time ever. There's somebody in here who's going to go out this year, and they're going to struggle for a little bit, but then figure it out. And they're going to make six figures this year for the first time in their life.

And I know it'll happen because I know how things play out. And there's somebody in here who right now, you are supposed to get a million dollar ring.

Who's more weird than Justin Varengia. And you're going to make a million dollars, too. And there's somebody in here who's going to go back to your hotel tonight.

Come on up.

I'm going to bring, do you mind coming up? I don't know if he minds, actually. I didn't ask him. Right? Well, what's up, man?

Thanks for coming. So I hit this guy up randomly. I've watched his videos on YouTube for a long time. But I hit this guy up randomly on Facebook, like, I don't know, a month and a half ago. And I was like, hey, you want to come to a seminar or something?

And he said, yeah. I'm from the United States, teaching and doing kung fu with me. Right? He's like, okay.

Right? So he flies here, right? And I've done martial arts for a long time. And who in here does some kind of martial art? Look at this.

See, a lot of people. A lot of people. Who's here done, like, a martial art for a long time?

And normally, if you're around martial arts, you get around people that are good, you know what I mean, they've practiced for a long time.

But it's just kind of like anybody else. Right? And sometimes, though, you meet somebody, and you're sparring with them, maybe, or you're fighting with them. And you literally just feel scared. You know what I mean?

You feel scared. Now, I told him that earlier. I was like, dude, when I touch your hands, I feel scared. Right? He's like, don't worry.

I'm not going to hit you very much. Right? So, but in any case, how long have you been doing this?

So, but anyways, since 1972, he's been doing Kung Fu. Right? It's a long time to do anything. Right?

Right. How long did it take you before you were a Sifu? Sifu means father in Chinese, and it's what you use for, you know, it's like sensei or something like that, or like a master in Japan of karate, right? How long did it take?

How many years? I was nominated Sifu officially in 2008. So, check this out. So, from 1972, when he starts something, all the way to 2008. How many years is that?

Anybody can calculate real quick? 30, 36 years. So it took him 36 years to master that art, right? 36 years. I'm 33.

So, that means it took him more time than I've been alive. Right? No, I'm serious. That's a long time. A lot of people, they try something.

Trying something out is not going to make you a kung fu master either, right? You have any cool demonstrations or something you could do? I'm just totally putting him on the spot, by the way.

I don't know. I just randomly, you could one-inch punch me or something. That'd be cool. I would actually be scared slightly, but, you know.

Well, maybe just an old-fashioned Chinese thing where you can basically push all your energy onto me and I absorb it on one hand or something like that. Yeah, could you do it with a lot of people, or just flying around? Well, you know, spontaneously like that. I don't know. Maybe we can get one of your security guys up as well.

I mean, there's a lot I could demonstrate, but you caught me off guard. I just want to show you some random trick or something like that. Yeah, sure. Let's do that. I'll just pick some random people I trust up here.

Hey, Chris. Come on up. Paul, come on up. Oh, God. I'll just pick random people, right?

And the idea is, right, to push towards my center point.

And just, you can put both hands there and push to the same point here.

So, everything's leaving. Oh, they're quite strong. Right. Let me just realign myself. Okay?

And if we get the other guy. And if you can just come here. And the other hand as well. Okay. Whoops.

Sorry. And here we go. And we're aligned. And start pushing. And I hold you off.

Just increase. I've got one leg. Increase. Increase. And then what I do, if I've got a lot of force to come and succeed, if I work around...

It's really easy. It's called biomechanical work, where you learn to connect the whole body. And it's not, the trick is this.

But I don't really feel like fighting or anything like that as a demo.

Yeah. Any other questions? That's so cool. Oh, thanks very much, guys. So, I just thought that was cool, to bring them up and do a little trick or something like that.

You know what I mean? So, yeah. Okay. Okay.

Yeah, I'm cool. Give him a hand. Give him a hand. You're right. I like doing weird stuff.

So, all right. So, in any case, why did I show you that? There's absolutely no reason, really. So all the time you'll be wondering, did he show me the secret when that Kung Fu guy was here? And maybe you'll have a dream about Kung Fu tonight.

And a Kung Fu master will appear to you and teach you the secret there. I don't know. But what I do know is this. I also know that you are not going to walk across the stage, you're not going to speak in a room, and you're not going to fill auditoriums in Korea if you're sitting on the fence.

And what I also know is the destiny that you're supposed to step into will be taken away and given to somebody who actually deserves it if you don't. And what I know is I know what your time is, and I know when you're supposed to take the action that you're going to take, and I know what that time is. And you know what it is? It's one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three. What are you gonna do? One, two, three, you're gonna do it now.

You guys excited? You're gonna be here tomorrow, and pay attention. You're gonna stand up, you'll applaud for yourself, you're gonna cross the stage, you can earn a million dollar ring. Who's near, pumped up, who's gonna do it? One, two, three, are you gonna do it?

Who's gonna do it? Who's gonna claim their ring? That's it, period. Everybody, one, two, three, that's it, period, that's it, period, that's it, period. Claim it, folks. I'll see you tomorrow, back in the room.
