Why Getting Saved From Drowning Was Never the Point
There’s a clip from an old Empower Network event that still gets passed around: Justin Verrengia going under in a waterfall, and David Wood diving in after him without a second of hesitation. Dee was standing off to the side in a bikini, terrified, unable to move. It’s the kind of moment that gets told to make an audience gasp. But that isn’t why Justin and Dee brought it up on stage at Lake Las Vegas. What that day actually taught them had almost nothing to do with drowning, and everything to do with the years they’d spent hiding who they actually were.
What does nearly drowning have to do with becoming who you are?
Before that day, Justin and Dee had been mocked more than once for being different. People told them their hair was too long. They rolled their eyes at talk of UFOs, of being “one with the force,” and asked what any of that had to do with marketing and making money. To Justin and Dee, it had everything to do with it. So when a man they barely knew, someone they’d only just started learning from, jumped into moving water for Justin without stopping to think it over, they expected the lesson to be about gratitude. It wasn’t.
It’s not that he saved our lives. It’s that he gave us the opportunity to embrace who we were.
That’s the reversal underneath the whole session. The rescue wasn’t the gift. The permission was. Once they’d watched someone risk himself for them without asking whether they were normal enough to deserve it, hiding the weird parts of themselves stopped making sense. If you’ve ever softened an opinion, a hobby, or a way of talking because you were worried how a room would take it, that’s the exact hinge they’re pointing at.
Why does a UFO sighting at seven years old still shape how Justin teaches today?
Justin’s version of weird started early. He was doing Tai Chi and practicing Qigong daily as a kid, meditating before he had the words for it, and getting shunned at school for it. One line stuck with him for years. Justin’s father, a pastor, told him flatly that meditating meant he was just talking to Satan. So Justin turned further inward instead, reading into what he calls esoteric knowledge, the mysteries most people never bother asking about. At seven years old, on a deck during a family barbecue, he looked up and saw something in the sky he still can’t identify. What he can describe is what it gave him: a sense, right there, that he was on this earth for a reason. He spent the next couple of decades chasing that reason, and somewhere along the way he realized the chase itself was pointed the wrong direction.
Most people, his argument goes, go looking for the revolution somewhere out there: a new system, a new leader, a different set of circumstances. His flip is that the revolution is the person doing the looking. Stop waiting for permission to arrive and start acting like you already have it. That’s the line he had the whole room chanting back at him, fists in the air.
“I am the revolution,” Justin had them repeat, five times over. Strip away the theatrics and the claim underneath is worth sitting with on its own. Waiting for a bigger audience, a better circumstance, or someone else’s approval before you let yourself become who you actually are is the same trap he spent his childhood stuck in.
What actually convinces someone to follow you into a business?
Long before either of them stood on that stage, Justin and Dee were living in Costa Rica chasing what they thought was their dream destination. Six months in, the money dried up. So they moved to China and taught English for over a year, building their business on the side in whatever hours were left. They learned just enough Mandarin to order vegetarian food in a town where dog was on the menu, and they climbed the Great Wall thinking they’d trained for it, only to get passed on the steps by tourists leaning on canes.
None of that sounds like a success story by itself. That’s the point. Dee’s teaching is that most people flinch from sharing the part of their story where things were small and hard, the cramped apartment, the year the money didn’t show up, and try to lead with the highlight reel instead. Nobody wants to hear that you cannot pay your own bills but they should join your business anyway. What actually pulls someone toward you is watching you get from the small apartment to wherever you are now, told in your own words, in public. People join people they like, and nobody can like you until they actually know you.
What do you actually do with the phone already in your pocket?
The session doesn’t stop at philosophy. Justin walked the room through the specific habits he uses to turn all of this into content someone else will actually watch.
- Cover your phone’s screen with tape before you shoot. Watching your own face while you talk pulls your eyes off the one thing that matters, the lens, and the person on the other end can feel exactly where you’re looking.
- Set a timer for three minutes before you hit record. A long, unfocused video spends someone else’s time without asking; a tight three minutes said with real passion earns you the next one.
- Go comment on twenty other people’s blog posts in your community, and tell each of them you did it. His read on people is blunt: nobody trusts a blog post sitting with zero comments, and the fastest way to get comments on yours is to go leave some first.
Small mechanics, but they only work once the bigger idea underneath them lands. You’re not trying to talk a stranger into an opportunity. You’re letting people who don’t know you yet actually get to know you, weirdness included, one honest video and one shared struggle at a time.
The full session goes further than what’s above, including the guided visualization Dee leads the room through and the exercise that pairs up strangers as accountability partners before they leave their seats. Watch it in full, free, when you Create your free account.

Please help me bring to the stage Justin and Dee Varengia. I appreciate it, man. You guys, go have fun. Go get them.
Aren't they amazing? This is awesome. We appreciate the warm introduction. We're very humbled by it, so we just want to honestly thank you so much for being here right now.
Everyone can sit down. No need to stand. You're going to need to rest some energy because probably throughout this talk today, we're going to be talking about embracing your weirdness and being able to monetize it. Isn't it ironic that we're the ones speaking about weirdness?
Because there is a quote I heard, and several very successful entrepreneurs have shared it. Something along the lines of, if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. And I believe if every human being on this earth can get paid to do what they love, we can get rid of the bullshit. We can get rid of the bullshit matrix, and that excites me.
Yeah! He knows what I'm talking about. I want to first start this off with what a revolution means to me. When I was younger, I was always searching for the revolution because I became a truth seeker.
I became in tune with the ways of the force. Can anyone relate to that? I started seeing society and the system for what it was. And if you've watched The Matrix, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Who has watched The Matrix? Everyone, right? But little did I know that we are all Neo, and Neo backwards means the one. We are the one.
So something I realized, stop searching for the revolution and realizing I am the revolution. You know what I mean? And realizing that each and every one of you are the revolution, because all it takes is one human being. To change the course of this entire universe.
Just like all it took was for David Wood to create this entire room of people from all around the world. You know what I mean? So give it up for yourselves for being here. When we first were thinking about what we were going to speak about, now you know he's serious because he done took off the shoes.
So when we first were thinking about what we were going to speak about, I looked at him and I'm like, you know, we should really talk about embracing who you are. And we thought about it more and more. And the more that we thought about it, we thought, you know what? Weirdness.
Weirdness. Because many times we hear this word and we're scared to be different. How many of you can relate to that? Raise your hands.
Yeah. We do it in the way that we dress. We do it in the way that we speak. We do it in the way that we interact with people.
We're always thinking to ourselves, what if? Or what are they thinking? Or what are they thinking? Or how will they?
And the beauty about this movement here, the beauty about what we have here, is being able to embrace who you truly are. You see, when you watch that footage of the day that Justin literally drowned and David rushed in for him, and here I am in the back, you know, bikini. And I know you guys can see me from the side. My booty's all shaken because I'm scared.
I'm like… Oh, and FYI, she peed in that waterfall. Why did you tell them? She's like, I'm peeing in the waterfall.
I did not. Okay. The truth is, we were walking, and I had to use the bathroom. I stepped down a little bit.
And then he was like, Dee, are you peeing? I'm like, shh. Come on now. So he let the cat out of the bag.
But what was very interesting about that moment was not the fact that I literally almost lost my husband. I'm like, shh. Come on now. So he let the cat out of the bag.
But what was very interesting about that moment was not the fact that I literally almost lost my husband. I'm like, shh. Come on now.
It wasn't the fact that I just watched a man who wasn't family to us, who wasn't someone that we had known for years and years and years and years.
Mind you, we came to him because we wanted to learn from him. He could have been like, you're on your own. But instead, he jumped in without hesitation. You want to know what that day truly did for us?
It's not that he saved our lives. It's that he gave us the opportunity to embrace who we were. Because up until that point, we had been ridiculed for it. We had been persecuted for it.
You know, people would come to him and say, well, your hair is too long. You know, all this stuff that you talk about with the UFOs and being one with the force. We don't want to hear that. You know, what does that have to do with marketing and making money?
And to us, it has everything to do with it. So when you walk out of this space, I want to leave you with the intention. Not that you're going to go out and earn yourselves a million dollar rings because it's sexy and it blings. I want you to set the intention that you will embrace who you are.
You will embrace it. You will walk out of that door and you will be proud to be you. That's the intention that I set for you today. Yeah, there's nothing more profound.
And I may have gotten this from Bruce Lee. Anyone Bruce Lee fan growing up? I was watching an interview. And I misquoted.
Everybody so I just let you know up front, but something along the lines of like the meaning of life is expressing oneself truly to be oneself and not to just copy a successful person. I think there is a big difference between modeling after success and copying success. And the reason why copying success is not the way to go. You can't be your true authentic self because as long as our fingerprints are different, and every snowflake on this earth is different.
So are our souls. They're all a little different. So are who we are in this physical flesh. I mean, look at me.
I'm wearing pants for the first time and that's weird. You know what I mean? It's also freezing outside and this morning when before when we came here, we were packing and he's like getting all this stuff together and I'm like, baby, we're going to do outfits this time. He's like, excuse me.
That's another story. So then he comes out with this clothes and he has these basketball shirts. I said, are you serious? I pulled them out.
I pulled up the weather for him and I'm like 30 degrees, 34, 32. And he was like, yeah, I have shoes, but I love my wife because if it wasn't from her, I'd be wearing the same clothes in sixth grade because I stopped growing then. But like my wife orders me new underwear and things like this that are very, very important. I want to talk about some of the weird things that I have embraced that have served me to become the person that I am today.
And some of those weird things, like growing up, I was into spirituality. Is anyone into their spirituality? So like I would meditate because I started taking Kung Fu and Tai Chi and would practice Qigong every day. And I was so excited because it transformed my life and awoken my chakras.
It made me feel like a new human being, like tapping into that spiritualness, that oneness. And I would embrace it at school and I would get shunned. There'd be like, we get the stupid, ignorant. Most.
Idiotic comments like, my dad's a pastor and he says, when you meditate, Justin, all you're really doing is communicating with Satan. And I'm like, really? So being introverted, I stopped trying to like, you know, impress like what I did to other people. And I was very sheltered and I was just like different.
And then I started like researching into like esoteric things. Anyone know what esoteric means? What's esoteric mean? The mysteries of the universe.
Hidden knowledge. Hidden knowledge. I love the mysteries. Do you love the mysteries?
Well, I have to. Like, am I the only one who questioned why the fuck am I here as a kid? I know I'm not alone. Am I alone?
No. Right. Because I believe there is a divine purpose. I remember being about seven years old, being out on the deck with my father.
And my father, there was like a barbecue and it was later in the evening, like we had family over. And I remember looking up and seeing what I could not identify. So today I would identify it as a UFO. What it was, I really don't know.
But the moment I looked up and saw it, I got a download that, Justin, you are here for a reason. And for my entire life, I just been searching for that purpose, trying to search for that reason. Why am I here? You know what I mean?
I wanted to change the world, but the biggest struggle, we couldn't change ourselves. We didn't realize you had to change within who you are in order to affect, you know, other people. Oh, wow. You know what I mean?
So some of you, I see y'all with notebooks down and papers and your little devices. If you can write that question down, why am I here? Why am I here? You don't have to answer it now, because I understand that you're here.
You want to download as much information as you can from the experience, but I want you to think about that. Really think about the purpose of why you're here. Because this was an experience that he had as a child. And now look at him, a grown man still finding it.
So it doesn't come to you instantly. But you will find it. And once you start putting that into your mind, finding out your purpose, you become so powerful. And all of a sudden, that intention that I set for you earlier, it becomes a piece of cake.
And I think a big reason why some people have no breakthroughs, they're always searching for it. You know, we can have an event and I'll be like, what was your breakthrough? I'm hoping to experience it in the next 30 days. That's not how it works.
You want to know when a breakthrough is? Yes. Now. I am right.
It's now. Want to know when the revolution is? Now. I am the revolution.
Yes. You know what I mean? I want to do a quick little chant if I have your permission. It's okay, Quan Yin.
Quan Yin's like, I am the revolution. Cool. And I just love chants because it brings the energy up in the room. And I believe in white magic because I understand there's dark forces doing black magic.
So let's do a little white magic if I have your permission. Right fist in the air. And I'm the Appeal. I love black magic.
I'm working on my open heart. Right. 5, 4, 3… 5, 4… 1, 2… 1, 2… 3… 1, 2… 3… 2… 1, and 0. Wha, what's the guys?
1, 2… time you say it, absolutely ground from the source field of this earth. Use that energy and raise it up from the soles of your feet to that fist, and let's, yeah, Super Saiyan, brother. You know what I'm talking about, Dragon Ball Z style. Now we're gonna start right here, raising all that energy. We're creating this big mystical energy where they can see us from other planets, and an alien may land in the room because we're some weird ass mofos. I thought we had a few. So here we go, all together: I am the revolution, I am the revolution, I am the revolution, I am the revolution, I am the revolution. One more time: I am the revolution. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Now I want to talk about where we were in life, because I think it's been a long time since I've been in a room, where I've been in a room, where I've been. And I think stories are really, really important, and we, they gave us an hour today, so I just want to thank Empower Network for believing in us to be able to share, because my intention, I should say our intention, for being on stage is to inspire you to believe in yourself. Do you want to know why? You are the revolution, that's one reason. But more importantly, I believe that you hit the nail on the head, you know what I mean. And sometimes, yeah, give it up for me.
And I've said this on stage before: belief, believe it or not, I don't know what you're looking for this weekend, but belief is the biggest determining factor to your success. If you already devoutly believe, then what you're doing, you would already be successful. Can I get an amen? You know, Michelangelo inspires me. Being a preacher's kid, so sometimes I feel like I am a preacher, you know what I mean. But to believe in yourself, and believe in your vision, and your vision, and to believe in your dreams, there is nothing more powerful on this universe than that belief.
And when I came along with my wife and we dragged her, I didn't really drag her, because she did. You did, because to be honest, I'm just, I'm speaking truth, right. I started at the event in the back of the room. But before we went to the event, if Justin did not ask me this thing right here, I wouldn't have gone. And what did he ask me? He looked me in the eye, and he said, baby, believe in me, please believe in me. And I know that it takes a lot from ourselves to ask someone else to do something, especially to have faith in you, right, it takes a lot. You have to crush down that ego to really look deep into yourself, to look someone else in the eyes and say, I need you, and that's what he did.
And I said, you know what, resistant or not, you have to put the straps on me. Yeah, Kuan Yin, yeah, you have to put the straps on me, it's fine, I will go. So because he took the time to say, you know what, D, I need you, I showed up. So don't be afraid to look your family in the eye with all the conviction that you have within yourself, because once you can believe in yourself, and you look them in the eyes, and you ask them to believe in you, even if they don't do it immediately, they will. Amen, living proof.
So let's rewind, even, let's take you back to 2011, because 11 is like my magic, you know, number from the universe. Anyone else like the number 11? And just real quick, my birthday is on February 11th, my daughter shares the same birthday on February 11th, and, like, 11, how freaky was that. I'm about to give birth, I'm in labor, but I didn't believe I was in labor, because her birth, her due date was like two days later.
So here I am, don't want to wake him up because it's his birthday, and so I'm like, no, I don't want to wake him up, you know, I'm not going to wake him up, I'm not going to wake him up, I'm, it's fine. And so I made a bed for myself on the, on the floor next to our bed, because I was determined not to wake him up. Meanwhile, here I am in labor, had no idea, it wasn't until the last minute, like, just like, I'm in the bathroom and you're just laying there.
No, actually, I was so scared to wake you that I wouldn't even lay down completely, I just was like this, and I just kept being like, I don't want to wake him up, you know, it's his birthday, yeah. I was like, no, no, no, and I just was, I was afraid. And then finally I realized, like, this baby is coming, and then I woke you up, and I said, we gotta go. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's how we created a baby, you know what I mean.
So I'm like, she's coming, she's on her way, and then I'm like, baby, baby, we gotta go. And he's like, do I have time to brush my teeth now? Mind you, he didn't know that I was sitting there in labor for a few hours, so I'm like, yeah, take your time, it's fine. But yeah, wow. And, uh, I love my wife so much because she did something most women would never dare to do, to give birth 100 naturally at a holistic birthing center.
And she did that because, you know, we believe that it's in the best interest of our child, and we have the freedom to do that because of the positioning we're in within this Freedom Network, which we're very, very grateful for, to have the freedom. And it wasn't expensive, like it was five thousand dollars, but a few years ago we wouldn't have been able to afford that. So we're so grateful to bring a baby into this Earth, to welcome our baby into this Earth, like, just very cool, laid back, no, like IVs and cold temperatures, it was just very cool. Uh, and just an awesome, awesome experience, and no medicine, no headache medicine, no drugs, just like one, and she's just like doing it, you know.
And do you want to talk about what it took to do that? Because there was a time when D is like, take me to the hospital. And I'm just curious what you're going through in your mind. Okay, so when we first went to the birthing center, I had made a decision that even if anything wrong were happening, it doesn't matter what's going on, don't take me to the hospital. I looked the woman in her eyes, and I was willing to sign anything in order to make sure that she wouldn't take me, that's how serious I was about it.
So now it comes the day to give birth, everything's fine, strolling through the park, no, it was intense. And I remember, you know, I was supposed to be in the tub, oh, they're supposed to be candles and music, and I'm supposed to be so relaxed and lovely, I couldn't sit down, I couldn't bend over. I remember my best friend Jabril was like, is she all right, like, you know. That we got the camera guy Dan there with us, and he's like afraid to go into the room, he's like, no, I don't want to take photos, you know, I'm in that type of agony.
And there was a point where I stood like this, and it was the only position that I could be in to kind of like force the pain, come on now, hey, hey, I'm not being dirty, the Kama Sutra is very respectable, you can ask anything. So I sat like this rocking, and the first contraction came, and I was all right, next one came, all right, next one came, all right. An hour goes by, and I said, y'all, I am done, take me to the hospital, tears in my eyes.
My husband behind, with a very calm voice, baby, you can do this. And shout out to William Wood, we were doing hypnobirthing, maybe without him we would have caved in and went to the hospital, yeah, without a doubt. And finally I got down, and I'm like, I don't know if I can do this, and I'm speaking to myself, and I'm like, I don't know if I can do this, I don't know if I can do this, I, I just, I don't think I'm strong enough.
D, you can't, what if they know, what if it's wrong, no, something's gotta be wrong, you just can't do this. The midwife walked in through the door, she came and grabbed my hand, and she grabbed my hand, she looked me in the eye, and she said, D, do you remember what you said to me when you first came in? I said, no, not particularly, right now. She's like, D, you told me that if anything were to happen, you didn't want to go to the hospital. And I was like, oh, okay. She's like, you can do this, you can do this. She stood here, Justin stood here, as you whispered in my ear, you can do this.
Next thing you know, I'm asking her, excuse me, I would like to push now. I got into the bed, bed wasn't comfortable, got into the birthing stool, Justin stood behind me, and we rocked that baby out within the hour. And I was home by six o'clock for it, and I was ready to go. But I'm just gonna be honest, as a woman, the only reason that I was empowered in order to do that.
I know you hear a lot of success stories from Empower Network, right, you hear a lot of success stories, and you're like, that is unbelievable. But I'm looking you in the eye right now, and I'm telling you that if it wasn't for David Wood and his vision, I wouldn't be here to live the type of lifestyle that I am today. That's the power of belief, that's the power of what you have here, there is no difference between Justin and I.
I know some of you are looking at the side of my face, and you're like, what, Ninja got you? So here's what happened. Wait, wait, uh, for those who are into Chinese philosophy, she has a yin element, and I have a young element, and maybe not everyone understands that, but I think it's kind of funny to share. I know Rushlow must understand that.
And so here I was in the house minding my business, playing with the baby, and then this guy dressed all in black walks in through the house, and then he starts doing these Ninja moves. And then I'm like, all right, come on, Justin, let's get the Sabres, you know, we're fighting. No, I'm just kidding. I burnt myself with a damn curling iron trying to look cute.
How many mothers do we have in here? Wow, give it up for yourselves. I believe being a parent is probably the most rewarding thing in the world, and also witnessing her give birth. I believe if you can give birth to a child, you can become massively successful in this business, because I think success is a lot easier than giving birth to a child.
I think success here is a lot easier than raising a child, you know what I mean, it's not easy. So, uh, parenting is awesome, but now I do want to rewind back to 2011.
We were living in China, does anyone know why we were in China? We lived there for 13 months, yeah. We were teaching English because our opportunity kind of dried up with our business, we weren't making any money. We were living in Costa Rica at the time, it was our dream destination, we moved there, we lived there for six months, and then the money dried up. And so we were looking for an opportunity where we'd still be able to build our business part-time while teaching English full-time.
And not everyone knows that, but anyone know how much our salary was for the month? Yeah, 1200, 1200. And I think for the first eight months I had one job there, and then I started working too, because eventually I wanted to get out of China, because I wanted to get out of China, I didn't want to live there forever. Well, you lost our ticket money back, you had no choice, yeah. Some, some weird things happen, like the school supposed to have paid for our visa and our Hong Kong trip, because every three, like you have to do a Hong Kong run, and unfortunately the school didn't do that. So the money that we saved all went back to like a ticket, because it was last minute on Chinese New Year.
Anyone Chinese in here? Yeah, Chinese people are awesome. Lawrence Tam, where you at, brother? New Year is crazy, especially in Hong Kong, it's like impossible to find that, like, a hotel, it's that crazy. So we're teaching English, and we did that, and it was a very rewarding experience, because we got to learn a little bit of Mandarin, like, I can order food, because I don't eat meat, so I'd be like, Buro. I remember, like, some of the, in the town we lived in, they ate dog, not like, common, where everyone did it, but some people did. So I'd always have to be like, boo, which means no, go dog, and bugoro, bugoro, right, order my vegetarian meals. But it was a very challenging part of life, because even if we went into the restaurant, it's not even written in Mandarin where I can translate it, it was written in characters, and I'm just like, what the, you know what I mean.
So it was a big learning curve there, but it made us grow so much, because we became comfortable with being uncomfortable. And I believe we learn more from the children than they learn from the children, than they learn from the children from us, and I truly believe that. I think teaching is probably one of the most rewarding things in life. And I think because I was speaking in front of children for so long, I got a little comfortable with myself, which is feeling comfortable talking to other people, so it definitely helped with the skill set.
And there's a lot of experiences that happen in China, but I want to pass it to D, where she can share a few instances that she has learned from. Before we really get into that, I think, many stories, right? You can go on Facebook, you can see the videos of us climbing the Great Wall, you know, there's a pinnacle on the top that you get to, and we had no idea. Here I am trying to look cute climbing up the wall, like, yeah, I'm climbing up the wall, and all of a sudden I see some people, and they've got canes, they've got Nikes, and I'm just like, what's going on. After 45 minutes I realized, exactly, they knew what they were doing, I had no idea, and it was the learning curve.
I, I learned a lot about myself during that time, and one of the things, the skill sets that many of you are afraid to do, afraid to do, is tell your story. Write that down: tell my story. You see, when we ask a question, how much were we making in China, some of you were like, you know. I asked you how big was the apartment that I lived in, in Costa Rica, how big, how big? Okay, you guys know the story, you guys know the story, why? Because we're not afraid to tell it, we're not afraid to share it.
On the cusp of success, it is literally almost in your hands, it's like looking up at a light, and you can see the lights, but you can't necessarily touch the lights. You can feel the heat exuding from it, but you can't touch it, you can't hold it, you can't carry this light with you everywhere with that you go. Why is that? Because the light is within your heart, the light is inside of you.
And the more that you can share your story, and the parts of the story that you share, the parts of the story that you've overcome. I'm tired of people talking about, I can't pay my bills last week, but you should join my business, though. That's not how it works, that's not how it works. We're talking about the law of attraction here, and when you are attracting people to you in this business, something that Chris said in our team mastermind earlier today, that's what's so awesome about being on the Unstoppable Team.
Can I get an amen? Unstoppable, yes. He said that this is like a, he said that this is like a, he said that this is like a portable, he said that this is like a portable, portable, portable, portable, people business.
If they like you, they join you. But how do people come to like you? They have to get to know you, share your story, and share the parts of it that you have overcome. We speak to you about China because we've overcome that struggle.
We speak to you about living in that tiny, tiny apartment in Costa Rica because now we live in a beautiful two-story home in Florida. We speak to you about struggle and about overcoming our own fears and anxieties because now we can stand on this stage and say, I am. I am. Can you stand up with me?
Cool. I got an affirmation. I'm actually working on a rap song for our Unstoppable Tribe, and these are some of the lyrics actually from the hook. I think would be a great time to share this, and we can repeat it.
You just listen and then repeat like a parrot. It will work perfectly. I think it's a great time to share this. I think it's a great time to share this.
I think it's important because affirmations can change your life, and this will be an experience you always remember. And it's very simple. I am unstoppable. Nothing is impossible.
Nothing is impossible. All you got to do is follow through. All you got to do is follow through. And every win is probable.
Sing it. And every win is probable. I am unstoppable. I am unstoppable.
And every win is probable. All you got to do is follow through. And every win is probable. And every win is probable.
Sing it. I am unstoppable. I am unstoppable. Nothing is impossible.
Nothing is impossible. All I got to do is follow through. All I got to do is follow through, and every win is probable, and every win is probable. I appreciate it, you can sit down. I had him do that because when he shared the lyrics with me, I was like, baby, it's been a long time since I've been in the church choir, and I was reading through the words, I was reading through the words. And you know, you ever hear a song, and the first time you hear it you're like, wow, she got into that, like, yeah, and that's actually the second time you hear it you're like, I could feel it, and the third time you hear, like, baby, I'm gonna go with the bathroom for a little bit, that's how it was for me.
And, uh, so she's gonna be singing that hook, and I'm looking forward to it. The only reason we haven't laid down the track, I've been working so hard on our vision and our passion, which is, uh, blogging and sharing our weirdness with the world and working on a podcast and all that good stuff. Um, I'll share some of the lyrics of the song for the rap, because that's really the singing, all right, hit it, hit it.
And I don't remember much of it, but probably the first couple bars, it was something like: and it's totally me, it's being weird, right, it's like unplugged from the matrix, voracious, get in touch with your greatness, embrace it, looking up to them spaceships since grade six, I've had this burning desire to conspire a fortune, look me in the eyes, you see the fire inside of me scorching, all it took me was some time. And I really don't know the rest of it, because I am a hippie.
Isn't it awesome that we can embrace who we are and just share that with you? Isn't it awesome? That's so awesome. I think that's what's so cool about seeing Justin and I, you know, being million dollar earners, it's not because we're so fancy, it's not because we have skill sets that y'all don't have, okay, maybe that one, but it's because we've been able to embrace who we are.
So when you think about what it is that you want to do, I really want you to answer that question with vision, with power. Take the time to sit, you know, one of the best exercises that I have ever done, and that I continue to do till this day when I want to accomplish my dream, I want to accomplish my dream, and I want to accomplish something, is sitting alone. Meditation is not dependent upon your spiritual or religious belief, because prayer is a form of meditation, it may be one of the strongest forms of meditation as well.
It is the fact that when you sit by yourself, you have no choice but to become comfortable with who you are, you have no choice but to accept who you are sitting there, you have no choice but to accept who you are sitting there. If it wasn't illegal to be nude, I probably would be right now, just saying, because I am more comfortable that way, and just being there in yourself. Stop visualizing my wife naked, sorry, sorry, unless you're a girl and you're very beautiful. Hey, there's a porn convention this weekend in Vegas.
Sitting there and taking the time to breathe, sitting there and taking the time to look into the mirror and be happy. Not everyone is going to follow your vision. You see, when I first shared my vision with my family and friends, with those close to me, many of them thought I was crazy, because my vision wasn't a monetary goal, it still isn't till this day, it's never been a monetary goal, it's just speaking the truth. If we put a number at it, it's because that's how we have to process it in order to create the actions, in order to yield that result, does that make sense?
And so my vision, our vision, was, what, freedom, freedom, freedom, to be able to live the way that we wanted, freedom to be able to experience what we wanted, not because we were stricken by how much it cost, or where it was, or not having enough time, but because we wanted to. How many people want that type of freedom? How many of you know someone, doesn't even have to be in your hometown, doesn't even have to be in your country, could live with that type of freedom?
How many people know someone that if you were to give them that freedom, you could put that in a box, they would take it and run, and their life would be changed for the rest of their days? We all know someone like that, right, that we can give them this gift. Did you know that you already have it? Did you know that? Do you honestly believe that you have this gift? It is tangible, you can give it to him, it's called a Power Network.
There are so many of you that come up to me, and you say, D, I want the secret, D, I want to know how you do it, D, I'm sorry, D, I don't believe in myself, and you have the same opportunity I do, you have the same skill sets, the same tools, the same resources, but there is something within you that you are unwilling to break. So with your permission, can I take you through an exercise to help you break through? I don't know, I heard about 20 people say yes, stand up.
Many times in our lives, we see things, we experience things, and we never really know the value of what it is until it's gone. We have a conversation with someone, we're able to look them in the eye, and it's not until we literally see them drowning, gasping for their last breath, that we realize, that we realize. So I want to help you have this breakthrough, I want to help you help yourselves. I want you to be able to look into your soul and really see who you are.
So with your permission, please close your eyes. I don't want you to envision yourself impure happiness and peace. What does that feel like? What does it taste like? Are your children there? Is your spouse there? Are you on a beach? Can you feel the Sun beating on your skin? Do you prefer it cold? Are you skiing through the mountains and feeling the wind rush through your hair?
As you think of this moment, as you embrace who you are, as you see this vision of your future, you're looking at you burning like a flame, and the flame is dim. Very, you think to yourself, D, this can't be me. Telling you, you are. I'm telling you, you can. This is not just an opportunity for you to make some money, this is an opportunity for you to look at that future self, for you to stare into the eyes of your child, for you to look into the depth of your soul and become the person that you've always wanted to be.
As you're sitting there on the beach or in the mountains or with your family by a nice cold fire, warm fire, you're thinking to yourself, I wish it was like this now. Instead of saying I wish, say I am. D, I can see myself sitting there with my family. I see us walking in through the store and purchasing anything that we wanted not because of going by our budget. But because we can.
I see us experiencing and traveling and living life because we want to. I see us on the beaches of the world swimming because that's what we love to do. When you look down and look around, my hand grabs your hand. I see you complaining, but it's not deep into yourself. And you see that flame, visualize it, your eyes are closed. You're respecting your neighbor's space, and you are accomplishing that dream. Why? Because you are the dream.
Open your eyes, you see this flame that we spoke of. You should be able to see that flame when your eyes are closed or open, you should be able to look at your sister and look at your brother and see their flame. I want you to turn to someone beside you that you don't know, anyone, anyone, it doesn't matter. You're my partner? Oh, you both are. I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you.
I want you to make it a point to get this person's phone number and email before you leave the event, this person will be your accountability partner. So you guys will get my phone number and my email, and we will communicate. Why? Because I believe in you, bro. Thank you, you guys can have a seat, we love you. Thank you, Michael, Paulina, our family right here.
I just want to have fun. Start sharing some things I can envision for this world, some things I can envision for the future, I just love imagining. I remember being in school, and the teachers would be like, Justin, get your head out of the clouds. And I didn't say this because I was introverted, but I'm like, you, I want to be in the clouds. I don't want to be in this damn classroom right now, you know what I mean.
Sometimes I don't want to be in, like, the institution of society that tells you, you have to do this, you must behave this way, you must act this way. Because I like the, act the opposite of everyone else, because I just want to be me, you know what I mean. I just want freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom, to be myself.
So here's my vision: I see entrepreneurship transforming this planet. And why do I say that? Because I believe if we're not, like, captivated to, like, have to work a nine to five, um, you know, if you're forced to do something, you are a slave, it's just, you're a slave in a different way. I believe when I walk out there to the population, and I'm walking around, I see a bunch of zombies, like, what's that movie or something, like, something of the living dead, the walking dead. And it's like, it's our mission to awaken the mentally dead, you know what I mean.
How are we going to awaken them? By awakening, you know what I mean, stop being asleep. And when I say stop being asleep, realize that in the now is your transformation, in the now is the revolution. Because in the now you're a co-creator, in the now you have the same power of a god, you know what I mean. They were say we were created in God's light, or we're God's children, that is. So we are of God collectively, we are God, you know what I mean.
They don't teach this at school, they don't teach meditation at school, they don't teach personal development at school, you know what I mean. I hate school. So it's my vision to change the school system, you know what I mean. I love people like the Connects, they don't let their children, you know, they don't force them to go to school, they give them an option, would you like to go to school, or would you like to be homeschooled and hang out with dad and mom and the family, go in the pool, let's do some cool stuff. And of course, you know, Tanner and the fam's like, I just want to be with you 24 7, dad, you know.
You know, stories that touch my heart, like Ron the Swan, Ronda, where you at, sister? Right back here, give it up for Ron the Swan. She had a dream, you know what I mean, she had a dream a long time ago, she had a dream, she had a dream a long time ago. To not send her daughter Hanalei to daycare, because she wanted to be a mom, a real mom, and be there for her children, right. And she went after her dream.
She did it for her child, and I believe her child is a very special soul, because of Ronda, you know what I mean. So if we can show up for our children, we'll change the world, because the children are the future, does that make sense? But first you must show up for yourself. And there's this quote by Dalai Lama, and he's like, if just, like, a certain percentage of the children started to meditate. For example, if we started to teach meditation in school, within 10 years it can solve the problem of wars.
I'm like, sick and tired of living in the United States, and if I walk into a bank, I see CNN, and they're justifying why we have to kill other people to protect, you know. And I love, like, all soldiers, are there any soldiers in the room, like, if it wasn't for soldiers, we wouldn't be here. So thank you, give it up for all the soldiers in the room, because they're fighting for your freedom. But I see things a little different, I believe the soldiers are good. But I believe the people manipulating the soldiers, you know what I mean, I believe they're evil, because you don't solve fucking war by going to war, you know what I mean, that's not the answer, right.
How do we solve war? By loving other people, by showing up to events like this and looking you in the eye and say, I believe in you, Amy, you're gonna change the world, and pouring belief into other people, loving other people, you don't fight fire with fire, right? So why do we allow this bullshit to happen? Why do we allow that, you know what I mean.
Something that we can all relate to in our lives, when you're looking at the blog and you're thinking to yourself, what can I blog about. Sharing your struggle that you've overcome, that you've overcome, share the struggle that you've overcome, share your vision. You know, when I speak about the vision of freedom, I have people send me messages on Facebook, they'll send me emails, once in a blue moon I'll get a random text message, I'm like, how did you do that. And they're like, I believe in your vision, I want freedom too.
But freedom is not something that I can give to you, freedom is not something that I can, oh, okay. Here's freedom in a box, and you can unwrap it, and it will be your freedom. You have to take it, you have to fight it, something that history has shown us time and time again, anything that has ever been won has been fought over. So you have to look inside yourself and write this down: is my freedom worth fighting for? Is my freedom worth fighting for?
It's real easy to say yes, real easy, you're pumped up, you're at home, you're sitting there, you're like, yes, I can do this. You're at the event with everyone, and you're like, you are the cheerleader. You get home in front of your computer, man, I got nothing to blog about. Blog about your freedom, blog about your vision, blog about what it means to you.
You know, you share so many awesome photos about your lifestyle, I love it. Why do I love it? Because she's sharing her freedom, when you're able to live life the way that you want to. And every single time you have that breakthrough, you share with another person, you allow them to have their breakthrough as well. It's not about just getting the million dollar ring, it's not about x amount of dollars at the end of the month, because the truth is, with what we have here, the tools, the resources, the community, the hearts, the power of the minds here. There is nothing that we can't accomplish.
We have so many different countries within this room, we literally have, I'm sure, most representatives to filter around the world. What does that truly mean? We have the power to change the world. So after this event, I want to see that change, I want to read your blog post about your visions of freedom, I want to hear what it is that you're willing to do, I want to see you doing it.
Everybody has a phone, right? They're like, yeah, D, mine's right here. Start taking videos on your phone, start sharing that idea with other people, because the more people that can hear your vision over and over and over again, the more people that have the opportunity to live in your vision. One thing that I believe in about freedom, you have to be free in order to show someone that they can too.
So the family that you have, that may be a little apprehensive, and they just don't understand this, it's not your job to tell them. To understand the apprehension that you get from people who will post comments and tell you that you're spamming, or, oh, I didn't like this in your video, and why aren't you wearing shoes, darn hippie. Like, it's not for them to understand, it's for you to understand it, and to connect with the people that are looking for it.
What are you willing to do for your freedom? How much are you truly willing to fight for it? Another thing I want to mention, I believe to become free, or to become unusually successful, you have to be willing to change. My wife and I recently started this podcast called Weird Entrepreneurs, I don't know if anyone listened to it yet. But I interview the greatest weird minds on the universe who are massively successful, Miguel Borges, Michelangelo Lopez, Roy, David Wood, some of the most brilliant people, Nikki and Avram, Anna Zuvero. Yeah, there's so many powerful leaders here, and that's what makes us so amazing.
I'm going to walk around the room, and I'm going to ask a few of you, what does freedom mean to you. Hi, I'm Dave from Arizona, I'm retired military, by the way, give it up. You know, freedom for me is you, is all of you, I've got something really emotional here. I've met some beautiful people here for the first time on this week, and we've just, like, touched each other's souls, it's just been amazing. I mean, the karma is just, it's just unreal.
But that's the freedom, it's, it's love, and it's being able to be here, and it's being able to know that we have what it takes within us, and together we can do anything. Amen. I believe, brother, thank you. He's good at randomly selecting somebody whose head is in the clouds.
Uh, hi there, my name is Casper, uh, give it up for Casper. What freedom means to me is to prove people with the worst pass they can achieve everything, what's in their life. That's, that's what I think. I have to, I want to prove, like, the people who are struggling all their lives and seeing people around outside drinking their lives off, and they don't have a goal in their life. To prove them everything is possible in their life, that's, that's my goal.
What's going on, guys? What's good, bro? I'm Chris, Chris Dakers from New York, give it up for Chris. Okay, um, I just want to say freedom to me is being free. Yo, thanks, Paul. All right, so I feel like being free is being free within your own mind first, you know, starting with, with yourself. And being able to live your passion, fulfill that passion, and be an example to the world, not just our industry, but to the world, that what we do here is power.
What we do here is changing lives, and being able to live your passion, and be able to, be able to live that lifestyle, whatever it is that we're passionate about. You know, just being here, we could have made the excuse to not show up, right, we could have had x amount of things that had to happen for us not to be here, you know. But we decided to be here, and it's because of that decision that we're working on our freedom, right.
So, you know, I just feel the need to just share that, um, when I was on, when I hopped on the plane from New York, I'm just like looking out the window, and, and, and just seeing the wings shaking, and, and, and have, like, like, pump inspirational music in the background, just firing me up. And I'm like, yo, I'm only 22, but I'm becoming free, you know, I'm looking at, it's, it's powerful, you know, and I appreciate that.
You got this, dear freedom, baby. There's three elements to freedom in my book, and it's not just monetarily, monetarily is not just about my product. When you become free up in here, you know what I mean, and when you become free in here, because I believe mentally and spiritually our freedom is more important. Because when you pass from this universe, it don't matter, you know, how many bling blings are in your million dollar ring, that Rolex does look nice, though, yeah, thank you, David, would, you are like, awesome, you know, gotta shut you out here.
But you know, they're not going to remember you for your fast cars, or how big of a mansion you lived in, none of that really matters. It's how many lives you'll ever have that you impact, you know what I mean, spiritually, how much have you grown. Because I'm one of those crazy visionaries that believe that our spirits are eternal, because energy cannot be destroyed, you know what I mean.
I believe that we're here forever, we're just here temporary in this physical body, you know, for a temporary time. But I'm here on this earth to achieve freedom, because when you achieve freedom, you give other people permission to shine, and that's how we change the world, one person at a time. Cool. And for this next, oh, cool, we still got a few minutes.
They play this music, I have no choice, I'm like, you're supposed to just roll with it. But I'm like, come on now, that's my dream, if you know me, you'd be popping some Tupac right now or something, you know what I mean. Yeah, so I want to give you guys a tip too, because many of you are having obstacles, because I also want to give you applicable knowledge. Because many of you are sitting here and you're like, oh, I'm pumped up, all right, now what do I do.
You share that pumped upness with the world, you blog about it, you write it. But most importantly, write this down, you shoot video about it, because people are looking to join opportunity, right, we know that the space is there, that's why we're here, they're looking for change. And as we can see around the room, many people are going to accomplish freedom in many different ways, the way that you can make yourself stand apart, by sharing your vision and video, it's something they can't take from you.
It's something that when I'm watching the video, and I'm looking back at your eyes, I can see truly what you mean. So when you're standing in front of that camera, is it okay if I give you guys a few tips to kind of overcome that fear of self and get out of your own space, is that okay? Yeah, all right, cool.
So here we have, so here we have my device, okay, first thing first. If you must, okay, yeah, you first got to turn it on, right. So if you must, when you're shooting the video, I want you to cover your screen, put some tape over it, put like a notepad paper on it, and then tape it back to the other side, and cover the screen. Why am I asking you to do that? Anybody know?
Yeah, so you can't see yourself, you're looking at yourself, but little do you know that the eye of the camera is right here. If you want to communicate with someone, you need to look them in the eyes. When you walk up to us, and we're walking through there, and you're just saying hello, what do we do, we stop, and we look you in the eye. Why is that? Because that's the way that we communicate with people.
Also, I want you to start utilizing the blogging challenge group, and here's the reason why, as human beings, we're reading online content, things like that, we have a tendency to create reading patterns, right. One of the reading patterns that we do is to read the comments. How many of you have a blog post with no comments, raise your hand. So I'm a reader, my habit is to scroll down to the bottom of the blog post, look at the comments first. You have no comments, what am I going to do, peace, I'm gonna go, unless it was a really catchy headline that was specifically what I was looking for at that particular moment in time.
So what's happening with this is, I'm currently a blogger, but I am out of there. So what you can do, by utilizing this blogging group, you guys, we're so many of us here in this room, start posting your challenges in there, and posting your content in there, and commenting on other people's blogs, and then telling them that you've commented on their blog. Something happens, you know, somebody post a comment on my blog, they message me back, or they'll post like, D, I commented on your blog. I could be, you know, in the bathroom about to do a number two, and I'm just like, darn, I gotta comment this person back.
All right, so there's so many challenges, there are some people who aren't trying to give me a comment, but I'm out of this world. And I just want to be able to give a comment on other people's blogs, and tell them, this person back, all right, she don't, you feel obligated to you, but you have to, you're calling them out on it. So do that, get comments on your blog, so that people have the opportunity to see your vision. What good is the vision if you don't have people to lead with it? So give yourself that opportunity to share it.
Something else that I want you to start doing when you're shooting your videos, set a timer to three minutes, write that down, set my timer to three minutes. Because there is something that happens as you begin shooting video, and you're sharing and communicating with people via that way, huh, you have to develop the skill set in order to do so.
When you see those 20-minute videos, even me, Justin will pop up in a video, and I'm like, first thing I asked, how long is that video, dear. First thing I asked every single time, doesn't matter if it's two hours and I still end up watching the video, I always ask how long is it. If you haven't developed the skill to communicate, and you are special, and you're able to communicate, you're able to communicate, you're able to start speaking for 15 minutes. That is 15 minutes of my time that you have just wasted.
But if you can develop the skill set within a few minutes to communicate with me clearly and passionately, write this word down: passionately. When you are writing, you write out of what? Passion. When you shoot your video, you write with, you shoot your video with what? Passion. When you start doing anything in your life, you do it with what?
Passion, passion. Start sharing that passion. Set the timer to three minutes. Really start developing that skill set.
Dee, how do I know when I've developed that skill set? When you can sit down and watch your own video and know that it was good. That's when you know. When did that happen for me?
A couple hundred videos later. But we all develop it at different times. These are the applicable things that I really want you to start taking home with this because you can start doing that right now. You go on the break.
You're on the way to the bathroom. Hey, I'm just so excited I'm here at the event. Woo! Three minutes of that.
Just sharing your passion with people because passion is contagious. People will see it and they'll want to be a part of it. Think about that. We like to join people who we like.
You know, people, we want to join people who we like. If they don't like you, if they don't know you, how can they get to like you? Sharing that in video is so important. Some of the most successful people that I know shoot videos.
I know a lot of them. I know a lot of them. I know a lot of them. I know a lot of of real success is put on video.
I think all the successful people we know shoot video. If you're not shooting videos, start shooting videos. Start sharing your passion. Start putting on the blog.
Start tagging the people you're commenting on because there's like over 300 comments in every blogging challenge, but I don't see people tagging other people because I believe most people aren't commenting on other people's blogs. So here's a little thing. You can actually take about, I don't know, it may take you an hour, but comment on 20 people's stuff and tag them and let them know you commented on it. I could almost guarantee you at least half of them will comment back on your stuff, and that's the secret to getting like 11 comments on a blog post.
And I just feel like that's a special number from the universe. And if you can get 11 comments on a blog post, you can do phenomenal things, like the gods, like Lao Tzu, you know what I mean, like Buddha, like Jesus, and like Gandhi. Maybe even walk on earth, like, you know, I meant walk on water, like Dave would. But anyways, our time is up here, so we're gonna be introing the next speaker, very dear to my heart.
Have a very interesting quick story about this young gentleman, or I could say young chap, because he's from the, you know, you know, the UK, it was kind of cool, they got young chaps over there, you know what I mean. But anyways, I met him when he was 20 years old, I believe, he can correct it if anything is wrong, but we were in Chicago. He's actually on our team several levels down, I believe it's like something of the genealogy of, like, ourselves and Mike Hobbs, and like Travis, or Robert Brown, and then Travis Holder, and John Penberthy, and it's an amazing thing to have duplication that low in your organization.
But the funny part is, we went to a bar in Chicago, at, you know, a bar in Chicago, and we went to a bar in Chicago at the event for our team, and he couldn't get in because they ID'd him. And you have felt so bad, you know, how much should he, would make it already, he'd already hit like 30,000, yeah, he was making insane amounts of money, like over $30,000 a month, and here he is at a bar, a jazz bar, like, you know, it was gonna be like an awesome time, he's all excited, and they're like, sorry, you have to be 21.
So you know, the first thing I said is, like, you know, how much could we pay you to just, you know, me, and they're like, we can't do that, it's actually a law, so we like, we respect that, and he couldn't get in there. But here's the funny idea, ironic part, he wasn't old enough to enter the bar, but you know, he was old enough to make $30,000 a month with the Empower Network, because we can do that shit here, you know what I mean.
So we got to know this guy over the past couple years, and I don't know how much income he's earned, something close to like a half a million dollars, and what inspires me is his determination and his willingness to uplift other people and teach everything that he knows without holding back. We just had a mastermind for like three days with the Unstoppable Tribe, and John shared, like, did John crush it or what, just an incredible soul and an incredible human being, and it is truly our honor to introduce Mr.
John Penberthy to the stage.

And realizing that each and every one of you are the revolution, because all it takes is one human being to change the course of this entire universe.
Or how will they? And the beauty about this movement here, the beauty about what we have here, is being able to embrace who you truly are. You see, when you watch that footage of the day that Justin literally drowned and David rushed in for him, and here I am in the back, you know, bikini. And I know you guys can see me from the side.
My booty's all shaken because I'm scared. I'm like... Oh, and FYI, she peed in that waterfall.
And I misquoted everybody, so I just let you know up front, but something along the lines of like the meaning of life is expressing oneself truly, to be oneself and not to just copy a successful person. I think there is a big difference between modeling after success and copying success.
And the reason why copying success is not the way to go: you can't be your true authentic self, because as long as our fingerprints are different, and every snowflake on this earth is different, so are our souls. They're all a little different. So are who we are in this physical flesh.
I mean, look at me. I'm wearing pants for the first time and that's weird. You know what I mean? It's also freezing outside, and this morning, before we came here, we were packing and he's like getting all this stuff together, and I'm like, baby, we're going to do outfits this time. He's like, excuse me.
That's another story. So then he comes out with these clothes, and he has these basketball shirts. I said, are you serious? I pulled them out. I pulled up the weather for him, and I'm like, 30 degrees, 34, 32.
And he was like, yeah, I have shoes. But I love my wife, because if it wasn't for her, I'd be wearing the same clothes as sixth grade, because I stopped growing then. But my wife orders me new underwear and things like this that are very, very important. I want to talk about some of the weird things that I have embraced that have served me to become the person that I am today. And some of those weird things, like growing up, I was into spirituality. Is anyone into their spirituality?
So like I would meditate, because I started taking Kung Fu and Tai Chi, and would practice Qigong every day. And I was so excited because it transformed my life and awoken my chakras. It made me feel like a new human being, like tapping into that spiritualness, that oneness. And I would embrace it at school and I would get shunned. There'd be the stupid, ignorant, idiotic comments like, my dad's a pastor, and he says when you meditate, Justin, all you're really doing is communicating with Satan. And I'm like, really?
So being introverted, I stopped trying to like, you know, impress like what I did to other people. And I was very sheltered, and I was just like, different. And then I started like researching into esoteric things. Anyone know what esoteric means? What's esoteric mean?
The mysteries of the universe. Hidden knowledge. I love the mysteries. Do you love the mysteries? Well, I have to.
Like, am I the only one who questioned why the fuck am I here, as a kid? I know I'm not alone. Am I alone? No, right? Because I believe there is a divine purpose.
I remember being about seven years old, being out on the deck with my father. And my father, there was like a barbecue and it was later in the evening, like we had family over. And I remember looking up and seeing what I could not identify. So today I would identify it as a UFO. What it was, I really don't know.
But the moment I looked up and saw it, I got a download that, Justin, you are here for a reason. And for my entire life, I've just been searching for that purpose, trying to search for that reason.
And I think a big reason why some people have no breakthroughs, is they're always searching for it.
And I believe in white magic, because I understand there's dark forces doing black magic.
So let's do a little white magic if I have your permission. Right fist in the air. I'm working on my open heart. Right. Five, four, three, two, one, and let's go: five, four, three, two, one. Every time you say it, absolutely ground from the source field of this earth, use that energy and raise it up from the soles of your feet to that fist, and let's go. Super Saiyan, brother, you know what I'm talking about, Dragon Ball Z style. Now we're going to start right here raising all that energy. We're creating this big mystical energy where they can see us from other planets, and an alien may land in the room because we're some weird ass mofos. I thought we had a few, so here we go, all together: I am the revolution, I am the revolution, I am the revolution, I am the revolution, I am the revolution. One more time: I am the revolution. Yes.
Now I want to talk about where we were in life, because I think it's been a long time since I've been in a room like this, and I think stories are really important. And they gave us an hour today, so I just want to thank Empower Network for believing in us to be able to share, because my intention, I should say our intention for being on stage, is to inspire you to believe in yourself. Do you want to know why? You are the revolution, that's one reason, but more importantly I believe that you hit the nail on the head, you know what I mean. And sometimes, yeah, give it up for me. I've said this on stage before: believe it or not, I don't know what you're looking for this weekend, but belief is the biggest determining factor to your success. If you already devoutly believe, then what you're doing, you would already be successful. Can I get an amen? You know, Michelangelo inspires me, being a preacher's kid, so sometimes I feel like I am a preacher, you know what I mean. But to believe in yourself, and believe in your vision, and to believe in your dreams, there is nothing more powerful in this universe than that belief. And when I came along with my wife and we dragged her, I didn't really drag her, because she did, you did, because to be honest, I'm just speaking truth right. I started at the event in the back of the room, but before we went to the event, if Justin did not ask me this thing right here, I wouldn't have gone. And what did he ask me? He looked me in the eye and he said, baby, believe in me, please believe in me. And I know that it takes a lot from ourselves to ask someone else to do something, especially to have faith in you, right. It takes a lot. You have to crush down that ego to really look deep into yourself, to look someone else in the eyes and say, I need you. And that's what he did, and I said, you know what, resistant or not, you have to put the straps on me, yeah, Quan Yin, yeah, you have to put the straps on me, it's fine, I will go.
So let's rewind, let's take you back to 2011, because 11 is like my magic number from the universe. Anyone else like the number 11? And just real quick, my birthday is on February 11th, my daughter shares the same birthday, on February 11th, and like, 11, how freaky was that. I'm about to give birth, I'm in labor, but I didn't believe I was in labor, because her due date was like two days later. So here I am, don't want to wake him up because it's his birthday, and so I'm like, no, I don't want to wake him up, you know, I'm not going to wake him up, I'm not going to wake him up, it's fine. And so I made a bed for myself on the floor next to our bed, because I was determined not to wake him up. Meanwhile, here I am in labor, had no idea, it wasn't until the last minute, like I'm in the bathroom and you're just laying there. No, actually, I was so scared to wake you that I wouldn't even lay down completely. I just was like this, and I just kept being like, I don't want to wake him up, you know, it's his birthday, yeah, I was like, no. And I just was afraid, and then finally I realized, like, this baby is coming, and then I woke you up, and I said, we gotta go. Whoa, that's how we created a baby, you know what I mean. So I'm like, she's coming, she's on her way, and then I'm like, baby, we gotta go, and he's like, do I have time to brush my teeth? Now, mind you, he didn't know that I was sitting there in labor for a few hours, so I'm like, yeah, take your time, it's fine. But yeah, wow. And I love my wife so much because she did something most women would never dare to do, to give birth 100 percent naturally at a holistic birthing center. And she did that because, you know, we believe that it's in the best interest of our child, and we have the freedom to do that because of the positioning we're in within this freedom network, which we're very grateful for, to have the freedom. And it wasn't expensive, it was five thousand dollars, but a few years ago we wouldn't have been able to afford that. So we're so grateful to bring a baby into this earth, to welcome our baby into this earth, like, just very cool, laid back, no IVs and cold temperatures, it was just very cool, and just an awesome experience, and no medicine, no headache medicine, no drugs, just like, and she's just doing it, you know.
And do you want to talk about what it took to do that, because there was a time when D is like, take me to the hospital, and I'm just curious what you're going through in your mind. Okay, so when we first went to the birthing center, I had made a decision that even if anything wrong were happening, it doesn't matter what's going on, don't take me to the hospital. I looked the woman in her eyes and I was willing to sign anything in order to make sure that she wouldn't take me, that's how serious I was about it. So now it comes the day to give birth. Everything's fine, strolling through the park? No, it was intense, and I remember, you know, I was supposed to be in the tub, oh, they're supposed to be candles and music, and I'm supposed to be so relaxed and lovely, I couldn't sit down, I couldn't bend over. I remember my best friend Jabril was like, is she all right, like, you know, we got the camera guy Dan there with us, and he's like, afraid to go into the room, he's like, no, I don't want to take photos, you know, I'm in that type of agony. And there was a point where I stood like this, and it was the only position that I could be in to kind of force the pain, come on now, hey, I'm not being dirty, the Kama Sutra is very respectable, you can ask anything. So I sat like this rocking, and the first contraction came, and I was all right, next one came, all right, next one came, all right, an hour goes by, and I said, y'all, I am done, take me to the hospital, tears in my eyes. My husband, behind, with a very calm voice: baby, you can do this. And shout out to William Wood, we were doing hypnobirthing, maybe without him we would have caved in and went to the hospital, yeah, without a doubt. And finally I got down, and I'm like, I don't know if I can do this, and I'm speaking to myself, and I'm like, I don't know if I can do this, I don't know if I can do this, I just don't think I'm strong enough. D, you can't, what if they know, what if it's wrong, no, something's gotta be wrong, you just can't do this. The midwife walked in through the door, she came and grabbed my hand, she looked me in the eye, and she said, D, do you remember what you said to me when you first came in? I said, no, not particularly, right now. She's like, D, you told me that if anything were to happen, you didn't want to go to the hospital, and I was like, oh, okay. She's like, you can do this, you can do this. She stood here, Justin stood here, as you whispered in my ear, you can do this. Next thing you know, I'm asking her, excuse me, I would like to push now. I got into the bed, wasn't comfortable, got into the birthing stool, Justin stood behind me, and we rocked that baby out within the hour, and I was home by six o'clock, and I was ready to go. But I'm just going to be honest, as a woman, the only reason that I was empowered in order to do that, I know you hear a lot of success stories from Empower Network, right, you hear a lot of success stories, and you're like, that is unbelievable, but I'm looking you in the eye right now, and I'm telling you that if it wasn't for David Wood and his vision, I wouldn't be here to live the type of lifestyle that I am today. That's the power of belief. That's the power of what you have here.
There is no difference between Justin and I, know some of you are looking at the side of my face and you're like, what, ninja, got you. So here's what happened: wait, for those who are into Chinese philosophy, she has a yin element and I have a yang element, and maybe not everyone understands that, but I think it's kind of funny to share. I know Rushlow must understand that. And so here I was in the house minding my business, playing with the baby, and then this guy dressed all in black walks in through the house, and then he starts doing these ninja moves, and then I'm like, all right, come on, Justin, let's get the sabers, you know, we're fighting. No, I'm just kidding, I burnt myself with a damn curling iron trying to look cute. How many mothers do we have in here? Wow, give it up for yourselves. I believe being a parent is probably the most rewarding thing in the world. And also witnessing her give birth, I believe if you can give birth to a child you can become massively successful in this business, because I think success is a lot easier than giving birth to a child. I think success here is a lot easier than raising a child, you know what I mean, it's not easy. So parenting is awesome, but now I do want to rewind back to 2011. We were living in China, does anyone know why we were in China, we lived there for 13 months, yeah, we were teaching English because our opportunity kind of dried up with our business, we weren't making any money. We were living in Costa Rica at the time, it was our dream destination, we moved there, we lived there for six months, and then the money dried up. And so we were looking for an opportunity where we'd still be able to build our business part-time while teaching English full-time, and not everyone knows that, but anyone know how much our salary was for the month? Yeah, 1200. And I think for the first eight months I had one job there, and then I started working two, because eventually I wanted to get out of China, I didn't want to live there forever. Well, you lost our ticket money back, you had no choice. Yeah, some weird things happen, like the school was supposed to have paid for our visa and our Hong Kong trip, because every three months you have to do a Hong Kong run, and unfortunately the school didn't do that. So the money that we saved all went back to like a ticket, because it was last minute, on Chinese New Year, anyone Chinese in here, yeah, Chinese people are awesome, Lawrence Tam, where you at, brother. New Year is crazy, especially in Hong Kong, it's like impossible to find a hotel, it's that crazy.
So we're teaching English, and we did that, and it was a very rewarding experience, because we got to learn a little bit of Mandarin, like I can order food because I don't eat meat. I remember, like some of the towns we lived in, they ate dog, not like common where everyone did it, but some people did. So I'd always have to order my vegetarian meals, but it was a very challenging part of life, because even if we went into the restaurant, it's not even written in Mandarin where I can translate it, it was written in characters, and I'm just like, what, you know what I mean. So it was a big learning curve there, but it made us grow so much because we became comfortable with being uncomfortable. And I believe we learn more from the children than they learn from us, and I truly believe that. I think teaching is probably one of the most rewarding things in life, and I think because I was speaking in front of children for so long, I got a little comfortable with myself, which is feeling comfortable talking to other people, so it definitely helped with the skill set. And there's a lot of experiences that happen in China, but I want to pass it to D where she can share a few instances that she has learned from. Before we really get into that, I think many stories, right, you can go on Facebook, you can see the videos of us climbing the Great Wall, you know, there's a pinnacle on the top that you get to, and we had no idea. Here I am trying to look cute climbing up the wall, like, yeah, I'm climbing up the wall, and all of a sudden I see some people and they've got canes, they've got Nikes, and I'm just like, what's going on, after 45 minutes I realized, exactly, they knew what they were doing, I had no idea, and it was the learning curve. I learned a lot about myself during that time, and one of the things, the skill sets that many of you are afraid to do, is tell your story. Write that down: tell my story. You see, when we ask a question, how much were we making in China, some of you were like, you know, I asked you, how big was the apartment that I lived in in Costa Rica, how big, how big, okay, you guys know the story, you guys know the story, why? Because we're not afraid to tell it, we're not afraid to share it. On the cusp of success, it is literally almost in your hands. It's like looking up at a light, and you can see the light, but you can't necessarily touch the light, you can feel the heat exuding from it, but you can't touch it, you can't hold it, you can't carry this light with you everywhere that you go. Why is that? Because the light is within your heart, the light is inside of you, and the more that you can share your story, and the parts of the story that you share, the parts of the story that you've overcome. I'm tired of people talking about, I can't pay my bills this week, but you should join my business though, that's not how it works, that's not how it works. We're talking about the law of attraction here, and when you are attracting people to you in this business, something that Chris said in our team mastermind earlier today, that's what's so awesome about being on the Unstoppable team, can I get an amen, unstoppable, yes. He said that this is like a portable people business.
I think it's a great time to share this, because affirmations can change your life, and this will be an experience you always remember.
And it's very simple. I am unstoppable. Nothing is impossible. All you got to do is follow through. And every win is probable. Sing it.
And every win is probable. I am unstoppable. I am unstoppable. And every win is probable. All you got to do is follow through.
And every win is probable. Sing it. I am unstoppable. I am unstoppable. Nothing is impossible.
All I got to do is follow through, and every win is probable. I appreciate it, you can sit down. I had him do that because when he shared the lyrics with me, I was like, baby, it's been a long time since I've been in the church choir. And I was reading through the words, and you know, you ever hear a song and the first time you hear it, you're like, wow, she got into that, like, yeah. And the second time you hear it you're like, I could feel it. And the third time you hear it, you're like, baby, I'm gonna go to the bathroom for a little bit, that's how it was for me. And so she's going to be singing that hook, and I'm looking forward to it. The only reason we haven't laid down the track, I've been working so hard on our vision and our passion, which is blogging and sharing our weirdness with the world, and working on a podcast and all that good stuff. I'll share some of the lyrics of the song for the rap, because that's really the singing part. All right, hit it, hit it. And I don't remember much of it, but probably the first couple bars it was something like, and it's totally me, it's being weird, right, it's like unplugged from the matrix, voracious, get in touch with your greatness, embrace it, looking up to them spaceships since grade six, I've had this burning desire to conspire a fortune, look me in the eyes, you see the fire inside of me scorching, all it took me was some time, and I really don't know the rest of it, because I am a hippie. Isn't it awesome that we can embrace who we are and just share that with you, isn't it awesome, that's so awesome.
Take the time to sit, you know, one of the best exercises that I have ever done, and that I continue to do till this day, when I want to accomplish my dream, and I want to accomplish something, is sitting alone. Meditation is not dependent upon your spiritual or religious belief, because prayer is a form of meditation, it may be one of the strongest forms of meditation as well. It is the fact that when you sit by yourself, you have no choice but to become comfortable with who you are, you have no choice but to accept who you are sitting there. If it wasn't illegal to be nude, I probably would be right now, just saying, because I am more comfortable that way. And just being there in yourself, stop visualizing my wife naked, sorry, unless you're a girl and you're very beautiful, hey, there's a porn convention this weekend in Vegas. If we put a number at it, it's because that's how we have to process it in order to create the actions in order to yield that result. Does that make sense? And so my vision, our vision, was what? Freedom. To be able to live the way that we wanted, freedom to be able to experience what we wanted, not because we were stricken by how much it cost, or where it was, or not having enough time, but because we wanted to. How many people want that type of freedom? How many of you know someone, doesn't even have to be in your hometown, doesn't even have to be in your country, could live with that type of freedom? How many people know someone that if you were to give them that freedom, you could put that in a box, they would take it and run, and their life would be changed for the rest of their days. We all know someone like that, right? That we can give them this gift. Did you know that you already have it? Did you know that? Do you honestly believe that you have this gift? It is tangible, you can give it to them. It's called Empower Network. There are so many of you that come up to me and you say, D, I want the secret, D, I want to know how you do it, D, I'm sorry, D, I don't believe in myself. And you have the same opportunity I do, you have the same skill sets, the same tools, the same resources, but there is something within you that you are unwilling to break. So with your permission, can I take you through an exercise to help you break through? I don't know, I heard about 20 people say yes. Stand up.
Many times in our lives we see things, we experience things, and we never really know the value of what it is until it's gone. We have a conversation with someone, we're able to look them in the eye, and it's not until we literally see them drowning, gasping for their last breath, that we realize, that we realize. So I want to help you have this breakthrough. I want to help you help yourselves. I want you to be able to look into your soul and really see who you are. So with your permission, please close your eyes. I don't want you to envision yourself in pure happiness and peace. What does that feel like? What does it taste like? Are your children there? Is your spouse there? Are you on a beach? Can you feel the sun beating on your skin? Do you prefer it cold? Are you skiing through the mountains and feeling the wind rush through your hair? As you think of this moment, as you embrace who you are, as you see this vision of your future, you're looking at you, burning like a flame, and the flame is dim. You think to yourself, D, this can't be me. I'm telling you, are, I'm telling you, this is not just an opportunity for you to make some money, this is an opportunity for you to look at that future self, for you to stare into the eyes of your child, for you to look into the depth of your soul and become the person that you've always wanted to be. As you're sitting there on the beach, or in the mountains, or with your family by a nice cold fire, warm fire, you're thinking to yourself, I wish it was like this now.
Instead of saying I wish, say I am. D, I can see myself sitting there with my family. I see us walking in through the store and purchasing anything that we wanted, not because of going by our budget, but because we can. I see us experiencing and traveling and living life because we want to. I see us on the beaches of the world swimming because that's what we love to do.
When you look down and look around, my hand grabs your hand, I see you, complaining, but it's not deep into yourself, and you see that flame, visualize it, your eyes are closed, you're respecting your neighbor's space, and you are accomplishing that dream, why, because you are the dream. Open your eyes. You see this flame that we spoke of, you should be able to see that flame when your eyes are closed or open, you should be able to look at your sister and look at your brother and see their flame. I want you to turn to someone beside you that you don't know, anyone, it doesn't matter, you're my partner, oh, you both are. I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you. I want you to make it a point to get this person's phone number and email before you leave the event, this person will be your accountability partner. So you guys will get my phone number and my email, and we will communicate, why, because I believe in you, bro. Thank you, guys, can have a seat, we love you, thank you. Michael, Paulina, our family right here, I just want to have fun, start sharing some things I can envision for this world, some things I can envision for the future, I just love imagining. I remember being in school and the teachers would be like, Justin, get your head out of the clouds, and I didn't say this because I was introverted, but I'm like, I want to be in the clouds, I don't want to be in this damn classroom right now, you know what I mean. Sometimes I don't want to be in the institution of society that tells you, you have to do this, you must behave this way, you must act this way, because I like to act the opposite of everyone else, because I just want to be me, you know what I mean, I just want freedom to be myself.
So here's my vision, I see entrepreneurship transforming this planet, and why do I say that? Because I believe if we're not captivated to have to work a nine to five, you know, if you're forced to do something, you are a slave, it's just, you're a slave in a different way. I believe when I walk out there to the population and I'm walking around, I see a bunch of zombies, like, what's that movie, or something, like something of the living dead, the walking dead, and it's like, it's our mission to awaken the mentally dead, you know what I mean, how are we going to awaken them, by awakening, you know what I mean, stop being asleep. And when I say stop being asleep, realize that in the now is your transformation, in the now is the revolution, because in the now you're a co-creator, in the now you have the same power of a god, you know what I mean, they say we were created in god's light, or we're god's children, that is so, we are of god collectively, we are god, you know what I mean, they don't teach this at school, they don't teach meditation at school, they don't teach personal development at school, you know what I mean, I hate school. So it's my vision to change the school system, you know what I mean, I love people like the Connects, they don't force their children to go to school, they give them an option: would you like to go to school, or would you like to be homeschooled and hang out with dad and mom and the family, go in the pool, let's do some cool stuff. And of course, you know, Tanner and the fam's like, I just want to be with you 24/7, dad, you know.
You know stories that touch my heart, like Ronda the Swan, Ronda where you at, sister, right back here, give it up for Ronda the Swan. She had a dream, you know what I mean, she had a dream a long time ago, to not send her daughter Hanalei to daycare, because she wanted to be a mom, a real mom, and be there for her children, right, and she went after her dream, she did it for her child. And I believe her child is a very special soul because of Ronda, you know what I mean. So if we can show up for our children, we'll change the world, because the children are the future, does that make sense. But first you must show up for yourself. And there's this quote by the Dalai Lama, and he's like, if just a certain percentage of the children started to meditate, for example, if we started to teach meditation in school, within 10 years it can solve the problem of wars. I'm like, sick and tired of living in the United States, and if I walk into a room I see CNN, and they're justifying why we have to kill other people to protect, you know, and I love, are there any soldiers in the room, like, if it wasn't for soldiers we wouldn't be here, so thank you, give it up for all the soldiers in the room, because they're fighting for your freedom. But I see things a little different, I believe the soldiers are good, but I believe the people manipulating the soldiers, you know what I mean, I believe they're evil, because you don't solve fucking war by going to war, you know what I mean, that's not the answer, right. How do we solve war? By loving other people, by showing up to events like this and looking you in the eye and saying, I believe in you, Amy, you're gonna change the world, and pouring belief into other people, loving other people, you don't fight fire with fire, right, so why do we allow this bullshit to happen, why do we allow that, you know what I mean.
Something that we can all relate to in our lives, when you're looking at the blog and you're thinking to yourself, what can I blog about, sharing your struggle that you've overcome, share the struggle that you've overcome, share your vision. You know, when I speak about the vision of freedom, I have people send me messages on Facebook, they'll send me emails, once in a blue moon I'll get a random text message, I'm like, how did you do that, and they're like, I believe in your vision, I want freedom too. But freedom is not something that I can give to you, freedom is not something that I can, oh okay, here's freedom in a box and you can unwrap it and it will be your freedom, you have to take it, you have to fight for it. Something that history has shown us time and time again, anything that has ever been won has been fought over, so you have to look inside yourself and write this down: is my freedom worth fighting for, is my freedom worth fighting for. It's real easy to say yes, real easy, you're pumped up, you're at home, you're sitting there, you're like, yes, I can do this, you're at the event with everyone and you're like, you are the cheerleader, you get home in front of your computer, man, I got nothing to blog about. Blog about your freedom, blog about your vision, blog about what it means to you, you know, you share so many awesome photos about your lifestyle, I love it, why do I love it, because she's sharing her freedom. When you're able to live life the way that you want to, and every single time you have that breakthrough, you share with another person, you allow them to have their breakthrough as well. It's not about just getting the million dollar ring, it's not about x amount of dollars at the end of the month, because the truth is, with what we have here, the tools, the resources, the community, the hearts, the power of the minds here, there is nothing that we can't accomplish. We have so many different countries within this room, we literally have, I'm sure, representatives from all around the world, what does that truly mean, we have the power to change the world.
So after this event, I want to see that change. I want to read your blog post about your visions of freedom. I want to hear what it is that you're willing to do. I want to see you doing it. Everybody has a phone, right, they're like, yeah, D, mine's right here, start taking videos on your phone, start sharing that idea with other people, because the more people that can hear your vision over and over and over again, the more people that have the opportunity to live in your vision. One thing that I believe about freedom, you have to be free in order to show someone that they can too. So the family that you have, that may be a little apprehensive and they just don't understand this, it's not your job to make them understand. The apprehension that you get from people who will post comments and tell you that you're spamming, or, oh, I didn't like this in your video, and why aren't you wearing shoes, darn hippie, it's not for them to understand it, it's for you to understand it and to connect with the people that are looking for it. What are you willing to do for your freedom? How much are you truly willing to fight for it?
Another thing I want to mention, I believe to become free, or to become unusually successful, you have to be willing to change. My wife and I recently started this podcast called Weird Entrepreneurs, I don't know if anyone listened to it yet, but I interview the greatest weird minds in the universe who are massively successful, Miguel Borges, Michelangelo Lopez, Roy, David Wood, some of the most brilliant people, Nikki and Avram, Anna Zuvero, yeah, there's so many powerful leaders here, and that's what makes us so amazing. I'm going to walk around the room and I'm going to ask a few of you, what does freedom mean to you?
Hi, I'm Dave from Arizona, I'm retired military, by the way, give it up. You know, freedom for me is you, is all of you. I've got something really emotional here, I've met some beautiful people here for the first time this week, and we've just touched each other's souls, it's just been amazing, I mean the karma is just, it's just unreal, but that's the freedom, it's love, and it's being able to be here, and it's being able to know that we have what it takes within us, and together we can do anything.
Amen, I believe, brother, thank you. He's good at randomly selecting somebody whose head is in the clouds. Hi there, my name is Casper, give it up for Casper. What freedom means to me is to prove to people with the worst past that they can achieve everything, what's in their life, that's what I think. I have to, I want to prove, like, the people who are struggling all their lives, and seeing people around outside drinking their lives off and they don't have a goal in their life, to prove to them everything is possible in their life, that's my goal.
What's going on, guys, what's good, bro, I'm Chris Dakers from New York, give it up for Chris. Okay, I just want to say freedom to me is being free. Yo, thanks, Paul. All right, so I feel like being free is being free within your own mind first, you know, starting with yourself, and being able to live your passion, fulfill that passion, and be an example to the world, not just our industry but to the world, that what we do here is power, what we do here is changing lives, and being able to live your passion and be able to live that lifestyle, whatever it is that we're passionate about, you know. Just being here, we could have made the excuse to not show up, right, we could have had x amount of things that had to happen for us not to be here, you know, but we decided to be here, and it's because of that decision that we're working on our freedom, right. So, you know, I just feel the need to just share that, when I was on, when I hopped on the plane from New York, I'm just looking out the window and just seeing the wings shaking, and have like pump inspirational music in the background firing me up, and I'm like, yo, I'm only 22, but I'm becoming free, you know, I'm looking at it, it's powerful, you know, and I appreciate that. You got this, Dee.
Freedom, baby, there's three elements to freedom in my book, and it's not just monetarily, it's not just about my product. When you become free up in here, you know what I mean, and when you become free in here, because I believe mentally and spiritually our freedom is more important, because when you pass from this universe, it don't matter, you know, how many bling blings are in your million dollar ring, that Rolex does look nice though, yeah, thank you, David Wood, you are awesome, you know, gotta shout you out here. But you know, they're not going to remember you for your fast cars or how big of a mansion you lived in, none of that really matters, it's how many lives you'll ever have that you impact, you know what I mean, spiritually, how much have you grown. Because I'm one of those crazy visionaries that believe that our spirits are eternal, because energy cannot be destroyed, you know what I mean, I believe that we're here forever, we're just here temporary in this physical body, you know, for a temporary time. But I'm here on this earth to achieve freedom, because when you achieve freedom you give other people permission to shine, and that's how we change the world, one person at a time. Cool.
And for this next, oh cool, we still got a few minutes, they play this music, I have no choice, I'm like, you're supposed to just roll with it, but I'm like, come on now, that's my dream, if you know me you'd be popping some Tupac right now or something, you know what I mean. Yeah, so I want to give you guys a tip too, because many of you are having obstacles, because I also want to give you applicable knowledge, because many of you are sitting here and you're like, oh, I'm pumped up, all right, now what do I do. You share that pumped-upness with the world, you blog about it, you write it, but most importantly, write this down, you shoot video about it, because people are looking to join an opportunity, right, we know that the space is there, that's why we're here, they're looking for change. And as we can see around the room, many people are going to accomplish freedom in many different ways. The way that you can make yourself stand apart is by sharing your vision in video. It's something they can't take from you, it's something that when I'm watching the video and I'm looking back at your eyes, I can see truly what you mean. So when you're standing in front of that camera, is it okay if I give you guys a few tips to kind of overcome that fear of self and get out of your own space, is that okay, yeah, all right, cool.
So here we have my device, okay. First thing first, if you must, okay, yeah, you first got to turn it on, right. So if you must, when you're shooting the video, I want you to cover your screen, put some tape over it, put like a notepad paper on it, and then tape it back to the other side and cover the screen. Why am I asking you to do that, anybody know? So you can't see yourself, you're looking at yourself, but little do you know that the eye of the camera is right here. If you want to communicate with someone, you need to look them in the eyes. When you walk up to us, and we're walking through there, and you're just saying hello, what do we do, we stop and we look you in the eye, why is that, because that's the way that we communicate with people.
Also, I want you to start utilizing the blogging challenge group, and here's the reason why: as human beings we're reading online content, things like that, we have a tendency to create reading patterns, right, one of the reading patterns that we do is to read the comments. How many of you have a blog post with no comments, raise your hand. So, I'm a reader, my habit is to scroll down to the bottom of the blog post, look at the comments first. You have no comments, what am I going to do, peace, I'm gonna go, unless it was a really catchy headline that was specifically what I was looking for at that particular moment in time. So what's happening with this is, I'm currently a blogger, but I am out of there. So what you can do by utilizing this blogging group, you guys, we're so many of us here in this room, start posting your challenges in there and posting your content in there and commenting on other people's blogs, and then telling them that you've commented on their blog. Something happens, you know, somebody posts a comment on my blog, they message me back, or they'll post like, D, I commented on your blog, I could be, you know, in the bathroom about to do a number two, and I'm just like, darn, I gotta comment this person back. All right, so there's so many challenges, there are some people who aren't trying to give me a comment, but I'm out of this world, and I just want to be able to give a comment on other people's blogs and tell them, this person, back all right, she, don't feel obligated to, but you have to, you're calling them out on it. So do that, get comments on your blog so that people have the opportunity to see your vision, what good is the vision if you don't have people to lead with it, so give yourself that opportunity to share it.
Something else that I want you to start doing when you're shooting your videos, set a timer to three minutes, write that down, set my timer to three minutes, because there is something that happens as you begin shooting video and you're sharing and communicating with people via that way. You have to develop the skill set in order to do so. When you see those 20-minute videos, even me, Justin, will pop up in a video, and I'm like, first thing I ask, how long is that video, dear, first thing I ask every single time, doesn't matter if it's two hours and I still end up watching the video, I always ask, how long is it. If you haven't developed the skill to communicate, and you are special, and you're able to communicate, you're able to start speaking for 15 minutes, that is 15 minutes of my time that you have just wasted. But if you can develop the skill set, within a few minutes, to communicate with me clearly and passionately, write this word down, passionately. When you are writing, you write out of what, passion. When you shoot your video, you shoot your video with what, passion. When you start doing anything in your life, you do it with what, passion. Start sharing that passion. Set the timer to three minutes.
Really start developing that skill set. Dee, how do I know when I've developed that skill set? When you can sit down and watch your own video and know that it was good, that's when you know. When did that happen for me? A couple hundred videos later. But we all develop it at different times.
These are the applicable things that I really want you to start taking home with this, because you can start doing that right now. You go on the break, you're on the way to the bathroom, hey, I'm just so excited I'm here at the event, woo, three minutes of that. Just sharing your passion with people, because passion is contagious, people will see it and they'll want to be a part of it. Think about that. We like to join people who we like, you know, people, we want to join people who we like. If they don't like you, if they don't know you, how can they get to like you? Sharing that in video is so important.
Some of the most successful people that I know shoot videos. I know a lot of them. I know a lot of real success is put on video. I think all the successful people we know shoot video. If you're not shooting videos, start shooting videos.
Start sharing your passion. Start putting on the blog. Start tagging the people you're commenting on, because there's like over 300 comments in every blogging challenge, but I don't see people tagging other people, because I believe most people aren't commenting on other people's blogs. So here's a little thing: you can actually take about, I don't know, it may take you an hour, but comment on 20 people's stuff and tag them and let them know you commented on it.
