Why Bringing Your Whole Team to the Next Event Actually Doubles Income

This lesson is part of Chicago 2013
The full recording is free with an account. One email gets you in.

You’ve already paid for the ticket, booked the hotel, and told your spouse you’d be gone for the weekend. Now you’re wondering whether it was worth dragging half your team along with you, or whether you should have just watched the replay from your couch in sweatpants. This session opens with David Wood and David Sharpe standing on stage together answering that exact question, and their answer isn’t a pep talk. It’s a pattern they claim they can point to at every single event they’ve run.

Before they get to the numbers, they open with something heavier. The event happened the same week as the Boston Marathon bombing, and a room full of people who were supposed to be traveling through that city sit with the news together instead of alone. That’s not filler. It’s the frame for everything that follows: whatever this business becomes for you, it was never supposed to be only about the number on a check.

Why does bringing a bigger team to an event actually move your income?

The claim is specific and repeatable, not a vague motivational line. Every event this company had run up to that point had produced a jump in income across their entire top group of earners, not a slow drift, a spike tied directly to the event itself. And the leaders who brought the largest groups of people with them saw the largest jumps of all.

Here, every single event has produced a dramatic increase, more than a doubling in everyone’s incomes, okay? And I could, if I had two hours, I would walk you through, because I actually watch the numbers.

That’s the mechanism most people miss when someone tells them to bring their team to an event. It isn’t about hype absorption. It’s that a room full of people who all want the same outcome, sitting shoulder to shoulder for three days, produces a spike in activity that a solo video watched from a kitchen table can’t replicate. You can’t manufacture that kind of shared decision alone, and the income numbers move because the behavior underneath them changes first.

What’s the real objection standing between you and bringing your team next time?

The obvious one is cost. Flights, hotel rooms, tickets for people who haven’t made a dime yet. The founders don’t pretend that objection isn’t real. What they push back on is the assumption that events exist to fund the company. They point out plainly that they aren’t up there selling products from the stage the way most industry events run, and that a chunk of the ticket price simply covers what it costs to put several thousand people in one room.

The deeper objection, though, is the one nobody says out loud: the fear that dragging your team to something this intense will just embarrass you if nothing changes afterward. David Wood answers that one with his own admission, describing himself as “a space cadet who spaces out looking at numbers in the back office” and someone who watches the data obsessively enough to know the pattern holds even when he can’t always explain why. If the guy running the company is watching the numbers that closely and still finds the pattern repeats every time, that’s a stronger argument than any hype line could be.

Why do both founders keep circling back to family instead of income?

This is the part of the session that has nothing to do with strategy. One of the founders tells the story of paying cash for his stepfather’s car after years of the man quietly doing everything for a family that couldn’t return the favor, and watching his face change when he realized he finally could. Another describes flying his daughter to Washington, D.C., just because she asked to see the museums. Neither story is dressed up as a sales pitch. They’re offered as the actual reason the events keep happening at all.

The thread underneath both stories is the same: the check is the proof, but it was never the point. Once you get past covering your bills, the founders argue, you realize the hours-for-dollars trade was never really about you in the first place. That reframe is exactly why bringing your team matters. A person can absorb a strategy alone. Watching an entire room decide, together, that the ceiling they inherited isn’t permanent is something that only happens shoulder to shoulder.

The full session goes further than what’s above, including the announcement of the next event and the full story behind both founders’ journeys. Watch it in full, free, when you Create your free account.

It's a lot of love today. This is fun. This is good. All right.

We're going to end this thing strong. I don't think these two need any introduction. The founders of the Empower Network, I'm going to bring them to stage. Let's give it up for David Sharp and David Wood, everybody.

Give it up for them. What's going on, guys? There we go. This is awesome.

Hold on. Let's see if they remember. Give yourselves a big round of applause. What did you guys think of the speaker so far?

What did you guys think of Justin and Dee? Chris Recker? Vic? There he is right there, taking notes, too.

Taking notes, see? I mean, you know, that's the cool thing about our leaders. And I know you feel the same way. A lot of people think that Dave and I are always on yachts.

And, you know, we are a lot of times, but not always, right? You know, we're learning a lot. You know, we're listening to audios. We're listening to trainings.

We're working with people. We don't think, you know, we were talking about this before, weren't we, Dave? Yeah. You know, it's the more we, you know.

I'm listening. I'm listening. There is something shiny up there. I don't, you know, the more we learn, the more we realize we don't know.

You know, and I think that's the cool thing about, you know, us, as a matter of fact. No, our leaders, you know, is that they don't think that they know it all. It doesn't matter how much money they're making. It doesn't matter how much success they're having.

And they, you know, they're always, they're always in learning mode. I've got a few notes because I want to make sure that I don't forget a couple of things that I just wanted to hit on. There's a lot of people here from Boston. And I wanted to recognize those people.

If you're from, if you're from, if you're from Boston, would you stand up? I know it was hell getting here, guys. I know you've got hell at home. So we appreciate you being here.

I'm glad you're okay. And I know Dave touched on this yesterday. You know, Erin's best friend ran in that race. And not only were we supposed to have our event in Boston, but we were going to go to Boston.

And, you know, we probably would have been waiting at the finish line for her friend, because I sure as hell wasn't going to run a marathon, you know. But we probably would have been, been waiting there at the finish line. So, you know, you never know. You know, you never know.

And for some reason, I believe that we're all in this room for a purpose today. And it's much more than that. It's much more than just making money. It's much more than, you know, you know, all of the industry stuff and, and all that.

It's about friends. It's about family. You know, it's about remembering where we came from. You know, it's about what the bigger vision is and what our purpose is on life, so, in life.

So, you know, I appreciate you guys. And, and, you know, I'm, I'm just grateful to be here and grateful to be alive. We've all been through a lot of stuff. And, you know, one thing that I think that's special about everybody in this room, is that we've all got a story.

And, you know, you've heard these stories up on stage of all these people, the struggle, the rags to riches, the drug addictions, the alcoholism, the people who have persevered through abusive relationships, all that kind of stuff. You know, we've all got a background. You know, we've all got a, a history. We've all got a story.

And I think, what I think the coolest thing is, is that we can all use our stories, our experience, and turn those, what society calls liabilities, into our greatest assets. And… I, I just wanted to say, in, in regards to that, I think that not only do we need to be thankful, but, you know, we need to realize that there's a lot of negative stuff that goes on in the world around us. And every time something like this happens, you know, you guys know people in the room.

That's somebody's, you know, that's somebody's mom, somebody's dad, somebody's kid. And I'm just, I'm just thankful that you guys are okay. You know, when I woke up and I saw the flood outside my window, you know, so we got the thing in Boston. And I'm glad that, I'm actually glad our event was here, to be truthful with you.

Because we were originally planning on doing an event in Boston. And, you know, call it divine intervention or what you will. But, you know, I think it was Jerry, he was looking at the prices of the hotels out there. And he said, you know, the, it's too expensive for our, our people to travel there.

Is why we actually, I think, chose to do the event here. So it was a little thing like that. And here we are. We can actually do our event.

And you guys know that. You guys are all safe and okay. So I'm grateful you guys are okay. Because you guys are important to me.

We, we raised $7,100 this morning. And I thought that was cool. Tony Rush donated $10,000 to the Red Cross just recently. I just made an executive decision.

We're going to match that as well. So we'll put another $10,000 on top of it. So that, that took us from, you know, $71,000, right, $27,000. We've also got the all-in bracelets here.

It's the black bracelet that says all-in for Boston out there. If you've got one, hold your hand up. Now what I want you guys to do is the entire room, all hold your hand up. Everybody raise their hand up.

Let's all buy one of those because 100% of the proceeds are going to Boston Red Cross out there. And thank you all for your contribution. It's not necessary. It's.

It's just. It's just why we're here. It's just what we're doing. I believe that we've got a bigger purpose.

And some of you have purposes of your own. I know Lawrence, you want to build water wells. You know, I know several other people want to do things for their churches and for, you know, their families and things. I was able to just recently, you know, take my, my dad on a vacation.

It was his dream vacation to go up to Colorado. I know that Toby and Layla did the same thing for their parents. You know, they were able to. Scotland.

You know, I was able to come back and, and buy my mom a car. I don't know if you guys remember that story or heard it, but, you know, I had, had a drunk driver. And, and of course, you know, sometimes, you know, things remind you of your past. And that hit me right in the heart.

So somebody drove up to, to, you know, in my mom's yard and hit her car and totaled it. And she was, you know, all, you know, I mean, it was kind of, it kind of shook her world a little bit because she didn't expect that. And it felt good. And I actually took my daughter on a vacation to Washington, D.C.

Flew back, which was cool. Really? Anybody from Washington here? That, that was awesome.

Yeah, cool. I, I, I was truly inspired. I asked my daughter where she wanted to go for vacation. And she said Washington, D.C.

to go to the museums. I was like, really? So, cool. She's 13.

You know what I'm saying? And I got that news when I was out of town about my mom. So, you know, I came back home and got off the plane. And my, my, you know, my mom picked me up.

Yeah. Because I let her borrow my, my car because she didn't have a vehicle. And, you know, I was standing there, you know, sitting there across from my stepdad. And I have a stepdad.

When I was young, I was that little, little just hellion kid who used to run around and, you know, tell my stepdad that he wasn't my real dad and that I hated him and all this kind of stuff. It's just the truth. You know, I was, I was a, you know, I was a, I was just a kid. You know, I, I didn't, I, I was confused about what was going on.

Yeah. And that's why I left home when I was 14. And as I was sitting across from the, the, the table having lunch with my parents, you know, I asked my parents, you know, what they planned on doing. And they started to tell me that, you know, I'm going to, we're going to get this car.

I said, do you mind if you tell me how you're going to pay for it? Because I, you know, just, just want to know. And they were like, well, yeah, we're going to put it on a payment plan and this and that. And I said, well, I wonder if, I want to ask you guys before I offer my help, if you guys would be open to me helping you out.

And they said, eh, you know, you ever had anybody who just does and does and does and does and does for you your whole life and then you turn around and you're in a position to be able to do something for them and they can't accept the help? You know what I'm saying? And I'm, I'm like, guys, this would be a great time to just say yes. You know, just say yes.

And I said, I'd like to buy that car for you cash. And as I looked in my stepdad's face, now this is a very non-emotional man. Just responsible, just respectful. It was actually the guy that was on stage.

That was my stepdad. My real dad's at home. That was my stepdad. And as I was sitting across from the table and I told him that, I just saw his face turn flush and I saw his eyes start to well up.

And it, and that meant more to me than anything because I could tell that that was making a difference in his life. So that's what this is about for me. You know, that's what you guys remind me of whenever we do these kind of events. Whenever we do these calls and stuff.

And I know you've done some cool stuff for your family, too. Yeah. Well, I mean, we talked about last night having a bigger vision, having a bigger purpose. And everybody here, a lot of you guys are actually at a point where it would be nice to be able to just pay your bills, you know.

And I know that because I've been in the room, in the back of the room, on the top, sitting in the back, mad at all the one-arm, one-leg midgets crossing the stage with a check. You know. I got it. I got it.

You know what I mean. Actually, I had, I can't remember who it was. Somebody came to the last event. And it was in, I think, it could have been Tracy's team.

But they said, yeah, I had this person come to the event. And when, no, somebody, somebody's like wife or something said, when you cross the stage with no shoes, she was like, who the hell is that? And he says, that guy's making like, you know, several hundred thousand dollars a month. And she just got mad.

And she's like, that pisses me off. I'm doing this thing. You know. Another broke college graduate.

You know what I mean. Fall in the system. So, you know. But beyond that, what happens is you start paying your bills.

And then you realize, start to realize that making money is easy. And that's the biggest thing I can convey to you this weekend is that doing this is actually easy. You know. We could say you have to work hard.

You know. That doesn't mean that you have to do what a doctor does to work hard. Because the two are dramatically different. You know what I mean.

It's dramatically different. If I pulled anybody up here who had a medical, do you have any doctors in the house? Any doctors? We got a doctor right there.

See. He knows. Right? You know.

We got. It's not hard like being a doctor is hard. You know what I mean. That's hard work.

I think this is easy. You get past the point where you're paying all your bills. You get past the point where you can buy the gold watches and you can buy the Maseratis and you can buy the Porsches and you can go on vacations whenever you want. And you're like, I'm bored.

I feel like going on a cruise. And you just pick up and you go. You get past the point of going and living all your dreams. And then you start to realize that it's never been about you in the first place.

That you just needed to take care of you because that was in the way. And everybody in this room realizing what Dave did I think is amazing for his parents. This is just the start. There are people in this room that, you know, I know Chris Doherty wants to pay off of, you know, his church's debt.

And, you know, Tom the furry hat guy wants to buy even more hats. You know. I can't help but notice you every single time. Yeah.

Every time. I love that guy back there. I've seen him for years. You know.

We all want to do something magical and we want to do something big for the world. And that's what this gives you the ability to do when you can disconnect the amount of hours you put out from the amount of money that you make. What you can do is virtually unlimited. I actually think it is unlimited.

I think that what you're seeing now will look back in five years and say, gosh, we were playing small. Yeah. Yeah. No, I totally agree.

And, you know, guys, we're going to see this moving forward with our events. I want to make this announcement right here right now just because, you know, I mean, I don't think we really need to sell getting to events anymore, do we? No. I mean, honestly.

The events, number one, well, hold on a second. What is so great about our events? Just start. Everything.

Yep. Everything. What else? Breakthroughs.

Breakthroughs. Huh? Family. Family.

Belief. The energy. Right? The energy.

The income. The income that comes from it. Working with leaders. Right?

Meeting the leaders. What? Proof. Proof.

Who likes seeing proof that it works? Yeah. Everybody. Everybody.

Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody.

Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody.

Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody.

Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. And your wife wanted to see proof.

Right. Yeah. So you brought her. Guys, I believe that the power of these events is just…

I mean, we could be here all day and all night talking about the power of just the events. I'm not talking about the products, the compensation plan, any of that stuff, right? I'm talking about just the power of the events, just getting here. And the struggle sometimes that it takes to come.

I mean, you guys who came from Boston. Was that not… But it's a part of your journey, right? It's the next chapter.

It's something that you had to overcome to get here that you'll talk about for years to come, right? So with these events, it's much more than just some hype, right? It's about getting around 5,000 people who all want the same thing that you want. And I'm going to tell you something, folks.

It is hard, it's hard to find 5,000 people who all think the same way that you think in the same building. Try that at a job, right? Try that at a job. One thing I wanted to point out, and who in here actually, who in here has been to every single one of our events so far?

All four. All four now. We only got a handful. That means most of you are new.

Who here was in San Diego? More, more. All right. Now, here's what I would like to point out, actually, about our events, just real briefly, is that it's not a theory anymore, you know?

I've always heard you should take your team to the events, you should take your team to the events, you should take your team to the events. And, of course, when I was in other companies, I'd take them to the events and they would quit, you know? At first they'd quit. The first group of people I had quit when I was in the first company I was in because you'd go to the events and they'd sell you on being, you know, be there on Sunday morning, be there on Sunday morning.

And then they're like, we're going to teach you. We're going to teach you the mystery to success, and then they'd do an altar call and preach for an hour, you know what I mean? And some people would like that, but, you know, other people in the room would never come back, and then they quit. But after that, the reason people quit is because the events were boring.

You know, I was teaching people how to get rich on the Internet, and they'd come to the events, and they'd say, let me tell you the real secret. Your grandma ever heard about this? I didn't think so. Put her on a list.

Your Uncle Billy ever heard of this? I don't think so. Put her on a list. I had people come to the events, make a list of everybody, and then go, you know, over and over again.

You know, run out and do a meeting, plastering the world with flyers, and telling everybody they know how awesome it was. And when nobody joined, they quit. Here, every single event has produced a dramatic increase, more than a doubling in everyone's incomes, okay? And I could, if I had two hours, I would walk you through, because I actually watch the numbers.

I know I seem like a space cadet, and the truth is I am, but I watch numbers, okay? I'm a space cadet who spaces out looking at numbers in the back office. At what people are doing. And every single event, without exception, our numbers have gone through a dramatic spike.

In fact, our first event, we were bringing about 87, 90 people a day. When we did our first event in Atlanta, we had 1,200, 1,300 people show up. Everybody in the top 100 in Empower Network was earning around $1,300 a month or more. Which is pretty good, having 100 people making 1,300 bucks a month or more, right?

Well, by the next event, it was $2,600 a month or more. And that happened as a spike. From what happened at the event, I'd show you the numbers if I had the time, and I don't. Well, we went into San Diego, we had like 2,400, something like that, people in the room.

And everybody in the top 100 was making like 2,600 bucks a month or more. Within 60 days, everybody in the top 100 was making $5,000 a month or more. It was like 4,500 actually, I believe. And I'm just telling you guys from memory here, but it's pretty accurate.

By the next event, which is this one, okay? Everybody's incomes in the top 100 is like, 97 people made over $8,000 last month. This month, we're on track to have, without this event, we're on track to have everybody in the top 100 make something like 9,000. Okay?

The amount of 20,000 a month earners, I think, has jumped up to like 35 or 36. Okay? In a normal network marketing deal, you would need a million people or 2 million people to do that. Who are active, right?

We've had 100 something. We've had 1,000 people join. We're not talking people that are active, okay? A normal company would need a million active people to do that.

There's something unique here. But I could prove to you that the events work. I could prove to you that the leaders with the biggest teams who bring the biggest groups of people at the events have the biggest doublings in their income. Right?

We got one right there. Isn't that true, Tracy? It's true, isn't it? Every time.

Who here is in the dream team? Right? She focuses on the events, right? It's true, Aaron, right?

It's true, Aaron, isn't it? Aaron knows. Paul, is it true? Is it true?

Is it true? Is it true? Is it true? Is it true?

If you don't come to the events, your income doubles even if you don't go to the events, right? And if you don't go to the events, you end up missing some sales or something. That happens sometimes, right? It's true.

I could point team after team. You want to know why Tony is making as much money he's making? Because he's brought a bigger team to each event. And I could just prove it if I had hours, but we don't.

I'm just telling you guys, if you're serious about building this big, you'll transform at this event. Okay? Even if you don't think that you will. By the end of tomorrow, you will.

Because we've just proven it. If you really want to really, really, really make a lot of money and be free, bring a big team to the next one. That's all I wanted to say. Yeah.

Proven. Proven. So, guys, because we're marketers, right? And I like to point this out because one of the other reasons why I really had to work my tail off in other companies, was because, can we just be honest here for a second, too?

It's just us in the room. Right? Most companies marketing what? What?

So, we're going to launch the tickets here to the next event. Okay? You should all be going crazy right now. And because we're marketers, now, we made up a couple of rules a long time ago about what it really takes to make a lot of money.

And the number one rule is you always have to love and really enjoy buying stuff from people who can sell well. You know? That's just one of the rules. You have to just enjoy it.

Like, when a guy sits down to pitch me, man, I just, you know, I just sit back and I just, you know, I make sure that my wallet's there. Because I want to be in control of the wallet. Right? I mean, if we get going and the wallet's gone, I know I've got a problem.

I've got to, you know, put this guy on his head or something. I actually do it different. I just set my credit card on the table. Okay.

Okay. See, we've all got our own way of embracing the buying process. Right? But the number one rule is you do have to love to buy.

Right? And I love to buy. So, the reason why I say that is because we're marketers. And, of course, we're going to launch the tickets in the way only a marketer would do.

Which is a progressive raising of the price over the course of the next, like, 20 years. 24 hours. Okay? So, the price will increase, I think, the first time in three hours or something.

And then the next time in, like, at midnight. What does it got? Wait. I got note cards, too.

He has a cue card. Let me save you the hassle of being organized for a second. And, there we go. And, but, hear me out on this here for a second.

Because this is also important to understand. When we started this company, okay, when we started this company, we decided to pay $100,000. Right? Yeah.

100% commissions. Right? Because we were sick and tired of our teams not succeeding. Right?

Dave and I are talented. Okay? There's no doubt. Now, not at everything.

Like, at two things. That's it. Right? Everything else, we're just, you know, we kind of fumble around.

We make messes. You know, we're ADD. We get distracted. It's obvious.

Right? But, we're talented in a couple of things. In a couple of areas. So, we worked our butts off to succeed.

And, we were succeeding. But, our teams were not succeeding. Because they were either brand new, or they had different skill sets, or they just were marketing with companies who's marketing what? Right?

So, we decided to launch a company. We decided to launch a company that not only put the money back into the pockets of our teams, but also we did everything that we could to make it possible for you to get to these events. Everything that we could to make it possible to put more money back in your pockets. So, I want to point out that a lot of these events that we put on, it's not a big profit center for us.

If you notice, we're not up here hawking products. Every speaker doesn't have a product to sell. And, Rob, I mean, let's just be honest. I mean, every other event that I've ever been to, what are we doing?

Hawking from the stage. It's like, I mean, that wallet, if it ain't burnt up by the end of the first day, it is on fire by Sunday. You know what I'm saying? I mean, the credit card, you've almost wore the letters off of it because it's been used so much.

Right? Because, I mean, they just condition you to just run to the back of the room. And, I mean, if you want to learn how to sell, we've got some people. Sam Crowley, this guy's brilliant.

Right? I mean, you've done millions of dollars of sales from stage. Right? Give him a hand.

Right? But what I want to point out is that Sam Crowley, for some odd reason, is sitting in this room. Right? Great guy.

Sitting in this room. Why? Because he wanted to help his team, too. Right?

He wanted to help people just like we wanted to help people. So these events, I say that to say that, really, these events, all we're doing is covering our cost. That's really all we're doing. It's not a $5,000 or a $10,000 ticket, although we might do that at some point.

I actually feel that the retreat that we sold for $5,000, hell, that was like a five- or a six-day retreat. And you got free food and free alcohol. Hell. Back when I drank $5,000 free alcohol for the week, I'd have been happy with that.

It's like, you know, I could have got my money's worth. You know what I'm saying? So, I mean, the content was almost free. Tam thought that was funny.

Yeah, anybody ever seen Tam? Anybody ever seen Tam have a few drinks? I mean, he just, that, I mean, like, he just, it's like one, like my mom used to, remember when Zima's used to be out? My mom would drink one Zima and be gone.

You know, that's how Tam is. So, guys, we're going to start the price. The price is off at $75, okay, $75. Everybody should be getting a couple of tickets, okay?

Get one for yourself, one for your spouse, and get a couple of tickets for your team. We're not going to do packages. We're just going to do individuals. That price, though, and here's the kicker, okay, that price is only going to last until?

Two hours. Yeah, like two hours. Until six. Okay.

87. So, from 5 p.m. It. Yeah, it goes up to 87.

To 6 p.m. $87. $87. Midnight, they go to $95.

Let's not tell them how much it's going to increase after that. Okay, fine. Yeah, so. Good idea.

It goes to $95. Great marketer, guys. Let's give it up for Dave Wood. Great marketer right here.

Just, you want to get them before then, right? The back office, members area. You can order them there, and in the desks. I think they have computers, you know, so.

You can buy it. Now, we're going to bring Casey out here, who's our CTO here in a second. You can buy them in your back office. Okay.

You can buy them in your back office. We're. I know. Everybody's already on their, on their computers.

We'll give you the access code here in a second, but I want to focus, because we're, we're releasing some cool stuff. I actually believe the access code is, is, I believe it's get money, if I'm not mistaken. I think so. It's get money.

Hey, Casey. Can you. Now. Now, guys, listen real closely.

That code is going to be sent to the back office. Okay. So, we're going to have to get it. So, we're going to have to get the money.

Yeah. So, we're going to have to get it. We're going to have to get the money. It's a very, a very, we're going to have to get it.

code is, I believe it's get money, if I'm not mistaken. It's get money. Now, guys, listen real closely. That code is specifically for those of you who are here in this room, right?

But I mean, I can't stop you from giving it to your teams if they're not here. Now, that's your choice, right? We want to do something special for those of you who are in the room, but if you want to, you know, kind of tell your team, hey, you know, get money. Get your discount, right?

Get your discount. He's video recording it. Then you can do that as well. The location, guys, and the Raskins are going to love this.

The next location for Don't Be a Wussy 2013 is Denver, Colorado. And what I want you to do for a second is I want you to just look around. I want you to look around. Now, some people, of course, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, you know, some people, of course, because of the catastrophes this weekend, I think we probably lost about 800 people, and we still have a full audience, right?

I want you to look around, and I want you to look at this crowd, and then I want you to stretch that, because that's what it's going to be like in Denver. We'll have probably 7,000 people in Denver in a facility that makes this look like kindergarten. I'm excited about that event, actually, for a lot of reasons. I have some secrets I may share tomorrow about what we're going to do.

I'm going to show you some things that you can follow or tell yourself about that you may or may not happen at that next event in a private room that you'll only get access to if you buy tickets now. It says it in the back office, January, February, March, April, May, June, July 19th, that weekend, that weekend. Your birthday. Good job, honey.

Great way to celebrate your birthday. So guys, put your orders in, get your tickets, right? Because I have a feeling for some odd reason, and I just can't believe it. I'm going to tell you what it kind of got this sense that this is going to sell out a lot faster than the last one did.

I just, I just have, who, did you say you just bought your tickets? Just bought them. Just bought them. Just bought them.

What? Gotta love the digital age. I will tell you when Casey comes out. I don't know what the code is.

So it's get money. The code is get money. Okay. Who, who, who just got their tickets right now?

What's the code? Get money. Greg. Good job, brother.

Okay. Hey guys, I'm going to probably put, I'm going to probably ask that question here in a little bit and I want the whole room to just explode. Okay. Guys, what, what I think we should get into now is what we want to release, right?

We've had an incredible run the last 15 months. I mean, it's just been epic, right? I think we actually need a new word for what we've actually accomplished, right? Because I mean, badass, it's, that's a badass word, but I, we need to come up with something else, right?

Because, I mean, what's going to, what we really, what our vision is, is it's much bigger than what we've done so far. Really what we, we haven't even innovated if you think about it. I mean, what we've done until, up until the last 15 months has just really been building culture and building a team and helping people get started with what we already have. Now, here's the fascinating thing is throughout all of that, and you guys know the story, we've gone through all kinds of trials and tribulations.

I mean, let's just think back here for a second. First, the bank shut us down and we went through 45 days of not even being able to take a payment as a company, right? Dave and I, for the first four or five months, paid for everything out of our own affiliate commissions. And then when we finally got up and ready with the banks, we got shut down the first day again, right?

So it was almost like our company died twice. Well, I'll just have you know that not only now are we on a solid foundation with our merchant processing, we've got backups, right? So that's not going to happen again. So we don't ever have to worry about that catastrophe.

But then, right on top of that, then we start running into all these other issues like with Facebook and YouTube and all of this other ridiculousness, all of the critics, and I touched on this yesterday of people going and copying us and really doing kind of a crappy job when they did copy us, right? Which to me, and at first, you know, I was a little agitated at a couple of people because, you know, they had really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really criticized us. And, you know, Dave pointed out something to me.

He said, you know, Dave, it's really a compliment that they're copying us. And I said, yeah, you're kind of right. And you know what? I realized that their heart wasn't in the right place anyway.

So it didn't, it wasn't effective. Then we're sitting here and everybody's blogging. People are shooting videos. They're out there, you know, really trying to do everything that they can to build their business.

People are just getting started. Who likes to shoot videos every day? I mean, honestly. And if you're not shooting videos, you really should push yourself over that level of being uncomfortable to do it.

Because the truth of the matter is, is all the money that I've made online has all been through video. It's all been through video. Every single dime, right? I mean, the video, what did Dave sit up here and spend two and a half hours talking about?

I mean, it was a, it was an unbelievable speech. It was an unbelievable speech, but it was really about getting, getting people to watch the video, wasn't it? So guys, we've done over 50 now million dollars in sales with some simple video marketing, right? We build relationships through it.

We give people the opportunity to get to know us. And out of the blue, right? We get an email that people's YouTube accounts are starting to get shut down. Now, of course that wasn't YouTube guys.

That was people going around flagging us. Uh, who knows? Somebody probably hired somebody to go around and, to flag our videos. But it was just like one more, one more brick wall that we've got to bust our heads through.

And we were kind of left with a decision. Uh, do we continue to try to fight these guys? Or, you know, do we just go and do it ourselves? Folks, obviously the income examples discussed in this video are extraordinary.

The income claims presented are not intended to serve as a guarantee of income. Instead, they're designed to give you an idea of what's possible. Success in this business requires leadership, hard work and dedication. Since we want to help you make an informed decision, we've gone above and beyond with our income disclosure document.

We were talking about this before, weren't we, Dave?

Yeah. You know, it's the more we, you know. I'm listening. I'm listening. There is something shiny up there.

The more we learn, the more we realize we don't know. And I think that's the cool thing about us, as a matter of fact. No, our leaders, is that they don't think that they know it all. It doesn't matter how much money they're making. It doesn't matter how much success they're having.

And they're always in learning mode. I've got a few notes because I want to make sure that I don't forget a couple of things that I just wanted to hit on. There's a lot of people here from Boston. And I wanted to recognize those people. If you're from Boston, would you stand up?

I know it was hell getting here, guys. I know you've got hell at home. So we appreciate you being here. I'm glad you're okay. And I know Dave touched on this yesterday.

You know, Erin's best friend ran in that race. And not only were we supposed to have our event in Boston, but we were going to go to Boston. And we probably would have been waiting at the finish line for her friend, because I sure as hell wasn't going to run a marathon, you know. But we probably would have been waiting there at the finish line. So, you know, you never know.

You know, you never know. And for some reason, I believe that we're all in this room for a purpose today. And it's much more than that. It's much more than just making money. It's much more than all of the industry stuff and all that.

It's about friends. It's about family. It's about remembering where we came from. It's about what the bigger vision is and what our purpose is in life. So, you know, I appreciate you guys.

And I'm just grateful to be here and grateful to be alive. We've all been through a lot of stuff. And, you know, one thing that I think that's special about everybody in this room, is that we've all got a story. And you've heard these stories up on stage of all these people, the struggle, the rags to riches, the drug addictions, the alcoholism, the people who have persevered through abusive relationships, all that kind of stuff. You know, we've all got a background.

We've all got a history. We've all got a story. And I think what I think the coolest thing is, is that we can all use our stories, our experience, and turn those, what society calls liabilities, into our greatest assets. And I just wanted to say, in regards to that, I think that not only do we need to be thankful, but we need to realize that there's a lot of negative stuff that goes on in the world around us.

And every time something like this happens, you know, you guys know people in the room. That's somebody's mom, somebody's dad, somebody's kid. And I'm just thankful that you guys are okay. You know, when I woke up and I saw the flood outside my window, you know, so we got the thing in Boston. And I'm glad that, I'm actually glad our event was here, to be truthful with you.

Because we were originally planning on doing an event in Boston. And, you know, call it divine intervention or what you will. But I think it was Jerry, he was looking at the prices of the hotels out there. And he said it's too expensive for our people to travel there. That's why we actually, I think, chose to do the event here.

So it was a little thing like that. And here we are. We can actually do our event. And you guys know that. You guys are all safe and okay.

So I'm grateful you guys are okay. Because you guys are important to me. We raised $7,100 this morning. And I thought that was cool. Tony Rush donated $10,000 to the Red Cross just recently.

I just made an executive decision. We're going to match that as well. So we'll put another $10,000 on top of it. So that took us from, you know, $7,100 to $27,000.

It's just why we're here.

It's just what we're doing. I believe that we've got a bigger purpose. And some of you have purposes of your own. I know Lawrence, you want to build water wells. I know several other people want to do things for their churches and for their families and things.

I was able to just recently take my dad on a vacation. It was his dream vacation to go up to Colorado. I know that Toby and Layla did the same thing for their parents. They were able to go to Scotland.

I was able to come back and buy my mom a car. I don't know if you guys remember that story or heard it, but I had a drunk driver. And, of course, sometimes things remind you of your past. And that hit me right in the heart. So somebody drove up into my mom's yard and hit her car and totaled it.

And she was, I mean, it kind of shook her world a little bit because she didn't expect that. And it felt good. And I actually took my daughter on a vacation to Washington, D.C. Flew back, which was cool. Really?

Anybody from Washington here? That was awesome. Yeah, cool. I was truly inspired. I asked my daughter where she wanted to go for vacation.

And she said Washington, D.C. to go to the museums. I was like, really? So, cool. She's 13.

You know what I'm saying? And I got that news when I was out of town about my mom. So I came back home and got off the plane. And my mom picked me up. Yeah.

Because I let her borrow my car because she didn't have a vehicle. And I was sitting there across from my stepdad. And I have a stepdad. When I was young, I was that little hellion kid who used to run around and tell my stepdad that he wasn't my real dad and that I hated him and all this kind of stuff. It's just the truth.

I was just a kid. I didn't, I was confused about what was going on. Yeah. And that's why I left home when I was 14. And as I was sitting across from the table having lunch with my parents, I asked my parents what they planned on doing.

And they started to tell me that, you know, we're going to get this car. I said, do you mind if you tell me how you're going to pay for it? Because I just want to know. And they were like, well, yeah, we're going to put it on a payment plan and this and that. And I said, well, I want to ask you guys before I offer my help, if you guys would be open to me helping you out.

And they said, eh, you know, you ever had anybody who just does and does and does and does and does for you your whole life and then you turn around and you're in a position to be able to do something for them and they can't accept the help? You know what I'm saying? And I'm like, guys, this would be a great time to just say yes. Just say yes.

And that meant more to me than anything because I could tell that was making a difference in his life. So that's what this is about for me. That's what you guys remind me of whenever we do these kind of events.

Actually, I can't remember who it was. Somebody came to the last event. And it was in, I think, it could have been Tracy's team. But they said, yeah, I had this person come to the event. And when somebody's wife or something said, when you cross the stage with no shoes, she was like, who the hell is that?

And he says, that guy's making like several hundred thousand dollars a month. And she just got mad. And she's like, that pisses me off. I'm doing this thing. You know.

Another broke college graduate. You know what I mean. Fall in the system. So, you know. But beyond that, what happens is you start paying your bills.

And then you start to realize that making money is easy. And that's the biggest thing I can convey to you this weekend is that doing this is actually easy. We could say you have to work hard. But that doesn't mean that you have to do what a doctor does to work hard.

Because the two are dramatically different. You know what I mean. It's dramatically different. If I pulled anybody up here who had a medical, do you have any doctors in the house?

Any doctors? We got a doctor right there. See. He knows. Right?

There are people in this room that I know Chris Doherty wants to pay off his church's debt. And Tom the furry hat guy wants to buy even more hats.

I think that what you're seeing now, you'll look back in five years and say, gosh, we were playing small.

Yeah. Yeah. No, I totally agree. And, you know, guys, we're going to see this moving forward with our events. I want to make this announcement right here right now just because I don't think we really need to sell getting to events anymore, do we?

No. I mean, honestly. The events, number one, well, hold on a second. What is so great about our events? Just start.

Everything. Yep. Everything. What else? Breakthroughs.

Breakthroughs. Huh? Family. Family. Belief.

The energy. Right? The energy. The income. The income that comes from it.

Working with leaders. Right? Meeting the leaders. What? Proof.

Proof. Who likes seeing proof that it works? Yeah. Everybody. Everybody.

And your wife wanted to see proof. Right. Yeah. So you brought her. Guys, I believe that the power of these events is just...

I mean, we could be here all day and all night talking about the power of just the events. I'm not talking about the products, the compensation plan, any of that stuff, right? I'm talking about just the power of the events, just getting here. And the struggle sometimes that it takes to come. I mean, you guys who came from Boston.

Was that not... But it's a part of your journey, right? It's the next chapter. It's something that you had to overcome to get here that you'll talk about for years to come, right? So with these events, it's much more than just some hype, right?

It's about getting around 5,000 people who all want the same thing that you want. And I'm going to tell you something, folks. It is hard to find 5,000 people who all think the same way that you think in the same building.

And some people would like that, but other people in the room would never come back, and then they quit. But after that, the reason people quit is because the events were boring. I was teaching people how to get rich on the Internet, and they'd come to the events, and they'd say, let me tell you the real secret. Your grandma ever heard about this? I didn't think so.

Put her on a list. Your Uncle Billy ever heard of this? I don't think so. Put him on a list. I had people come to the events, make a list of everybody, and then go, over and over again.

Run out and do a meeting, plastering the world with flyers, and telling everybody they know how awesome it was.

Which is pretty good, having 100 people making 1,300 bucks a month or more, right? And that happened as a spike. From what happened at the event, I'd show you the numbers if I had the time, and I don't. Well, we went into San Diego, we had like 2,400, something like that, people in the room. And everybody in the top 100 was making like 2,600 bucks a month or more.

It was like 4,500 actually, I believe. And I'm just telling you guys from memory here, but it's pretty accurate. By the next event, which is this one, okay? This month, we're on track to have, without this event, we're on track to have everybody in the top 100 make something like 9,000. Okay?

Is it true?

Right? Most companies, marketing what?

Like, when a guy sits down to pitch me, man, I just sit back and I make sure that my wallet's there. Because I want to be in control of the wallet. Right? I mean, if we get going and the wallet's gone, I know I've got a problem.

I've got to put this guy on his head or something.

Right? Yeah. 100% commissions. Right? Because we were sick and tired of our teams not succeeding.

Right? Dave and I are talented. Okay? There's no doubt. Now, not at everything.

Like, at two things. That's it. Right? Everything else, we're just, you know, we kind of fumble around. We make messes.

You know, we're ADD. We get distracted. It's obvious. Right? But we're talented in a couple of things.

In a couple of areas. So, we worked our butts off to succeed. And we were succeeding. But our teams were not succeeding.

I mean, the credit card, you've almost worn the letters off of it because it's been used so much. Right? Because they just condition you to just run to the back of the room.

Hell. It's like, I could have got my money's worth. You know what I'm saying? So, I mean, the content was almost free. Tam thought that was funny.

Yeah, anybody ever seen Tam? Anybody ever seen Tam have a few drinks? I mean, like my mom used to, remember when Zima's used to be out? My mom would drink one Zima and be gone. That's how Tam is.

Until six.

Okay. 87. So, from 5 p.m. it goes up to 87.

To 6 p.m., $87.

I think they have computers, so you can buy it. Now, we're going to bring Casey out here, who's our CTO here in a second. You can buy them in your back office. Okay.

You can buy them in your back office. Everybody's already on their computers. We'll give you the access code here in a second, but I want to focus, because we're releasing some cool stuff.

I actually believe the access code is, I believe it's get money, if I'm not mistaken. I think so. It's get money. Hey, Casey. Can you.

Now. Now, guys, listen real closely. That code is going to be sent to the back office. Okay. So, we're going to have to get the money.

It's get money. Now, guys, listen real closely. That code is specifically for those of you who are here in this room, right? But I mean, I can't stop you from giving it to your teams if they're not here.

Now, that's your choice, right? We want to do something special for those of you who are in the room, but if you want to kind of tell your team, hey, get money.

Now, some people, you know, of course, because of the catastrophes this weekend, I think we probably lost about 800 people, and we still have a full audience, right? I want you to look around, and I want you to look at this crowd, and then I want you to stretch that, because that's what it's going to be like in Denver. We'll have probably 7,000 people in Denver in a facility that makes this look like kindergarten. I'm excited about that event, actually, for a lot of reasons. I have some secrets I may share tomorrow about what we're going to do.

I'm going to show you some things that you can follow or tell yourself about that you may or may not happen at that next event in a private room that you'll only get access to if you buy tickets now. It says it in the back office, January, February, March, April, May, June, July 19th, that weekend. Your birthday. Good job, honey. Great way to celebrate your birthday.

So guys, put your orders in, get your tickets, right? Because I have a feeling for some odd reason, and I just can't believe it. I've kind of got this sense that this is going to sell out a lot faster than the last one did. I just have, who, did you say you just bought your tickets? Just bought them.

Just bought them. What? Gotta love the digital age. I will tell you when Casey comes out. I don't know what the code is.

So it's get money. The code is get money. Okay. Who just got their tickets right now? What's the code?

Get money. Greg. Good job, brother. Okay. Hey guys, I'm going to probably ask that question here in a little bit and I want the whole room to just explode.

Okay. Guys, what I think we should get into now is what we want to release, right? We've had an incredible run the last 15 months. I mean, it's just been epic, right? I think we actually need a new word for what we've actually accomplished, right?

Because, I mean, badass, that's a badass word, but we need to come up with something else, right? Because, I mean, what our vision is, is it's much bigger than what we've done so far. Really, we haven't even innovated if you think about it. I mean, what we've done up until the last 15 months has just really been building culture and building a team and helping people get started with what we already have.

Which, to me, and at first, I was a little agitated at a couple of people because they had really, really criticized us.

And Dave pointed out something to me. He said, Dave, it's really a compliment that they're copying us. And I said, yeah, you're kind of right. And you know what? I realized that their heart wasn't in the right place anyway.

So it wasn't effective. Then we're sitting here and everybody's blogging. People are shooting videos. They're out there really trying to do everything that they can to build their business. People are just getting started.

Who likes to shoot videos every day? I mean, honestly. And if you're not shooting videos, you really should push yourself over that level of being uncomfortable to do it. Because the truth of the matter is, all the money that I've made online has all been through video. It's all been through video.

Every single dime, right? I mean, the video, what did Dave sit up here and spend two and a half hours talking about? I mean, it was an unbelievable speech. It was an unbelievable speech, but it was really about getting people to watch the video, wasn't it? So guys, we've done over 50 now million dollars in sales with some simple video marketing, right?

We build relationships through it. We give people the opportunity to get to know us. And out of the blue, right? We get an email that people's YouTube accounts are starting to get shut down. Now, of course that wasn't YouTube, guys.

That was people going around flagging us. Who knows? Somebody probably hired somebody to go around and flag our videos. But it was just like one more brick wall that we've got to bust our heads through. And we were kind of left with a decision.

Do we continue to try to fight these guys? Or do we just go and do it ourselves? Folks, obviously the income examples discussed in this video are extraordinary. The income claims presented are not intended to serve as a guarantee of income. Instead, they're designed to give you an idea of what's possible.
