Position of Power: Why Your Past Mistakes Are Not Running Your Business

This lesson is part of Your Biggest Month Ever
The full recording is free with an account. One email gets you in.

You have caught yourself apologizing for your own offer before anyone even objected to it, softening a headline because you were not sure you deserved the result it promised. Vic Strizhouse spends the third session of this series on exactly that quiet habit, the one most marketers never name out loud because naming it feels uncomfortably close to admitting it.

He calls it building from a position of weakness instead of a position of power, and he is blunt that no amount of traffic or funnel tweaking fixes it. You can have the best-converting page in the industry and still watch it underperform if the person behind it does not believe, at a gut level, that they are allowed to succeed.

What actually separates people who keep winning from people who keep almost winning?

Vic lays out three attributes he says show up in everyone who builds something that lasts: a genuine desire to be wealthy, the ability to recognize or manufacture an opportunity rather than waiting for one to knock, and a plain willingness to work once that opportunity exists. He is careful to separate wealth from greed here. The desire, as he frames it, is really the desire to live a fuller life and provide for the people depending on you, not a hunger for numbers on a screen.

The Thomas Edison line he puts up gets at the same idea from another angle: opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. Most people scroll past it looking for something easier.

How do you actually stop your past mistakes from running your present business?

This is where the session gets personal. Vic returns to the lowest point in his life, the arrest and the year his business fell to nothing, not to relive it but to make a specific argument about identity.

Listen, you are not the mistakes of your past. You’re not. I am not, okay? You are the resources and capabilities you have gleaned from those mistakes, okay? Your mistakes and failures represent your greatest asset.

He is not offering that as a comforting slogan. He is arguing it as a practical fact about sales psychology. If you privately believe your setbacks define your ceiling, that belief leaks into every presentation you give and every email you send, no matter how well the words are written. He has watched marketers with genuinely excellent sales pages fail to convert for exactly this reason, and watched marketers with rough, unpolished pitches outsell them because the person behind the pitch was not carrying that weight.

What two words should you delete from your business vocabulary tonight?

Vic gets specific about the mental patterns he says quietly sabotage most people building a business. The word should tricks you into confusing intention with actual behavior. The word try signals to your own mind, and to whoever is listening to you, that you already expect to fail. He recommends replacing the word problems with challenges for the same reason, not as a cosmetic word swap but because the frame you use to describe a setback determines whether your mind goes looking for a solution or just sits in the discomfort.

  • Start seeing yourself as a leader, even if the only person you currently lead is yourself.
  • Set a goal large enough that it makes you a little nervous, since a goal that does not is probably too small to pull you anywhere new.
  • Identify people who have actually done what you want to do, and stop taking direction from people who have not.

He also walks through a simple metaphor for managing fear that he says he still uses on every new project: make the goal bigger than the fear, not the fear smaller. A hundred-foot plank on the ground is nothing to walk. The same plank between two buildings is terrifying, until there is a strong enough reason on the other side.

What does the rest of your business actually rest on?

Everything covered in this session sits underneath the funnel work and the traffic strategy most people are eager to skip ahead to. Vic’s argument is that the character work is not a soft prerequisite you can shortcut past. It is the foundation the rest of the training builds on top of, and skipping it is exactly why so many technically correct marketing campaigns quietly underperform.

The full session goes much further than what is captured here, including Vic’s full breakdown of how to build your own character and storyline as a marketer. Watch it in full, free, when you Create your free account.

Since we want to help you make an informed decision, we've gone above and beyond with our income disclosure document. If you want to see the average earnings, please visit the page at www.empowernetwork.com forward slash income dot php. Thank you for watching. www.empowernetwork.com www.empowernetwork.com www.empowernetwork.com Today, what we're going to do is we're going to be taking things a little bit differently.

We're going to be talking about this thing called power. As a marketer, I cannot emphasize how important it is for you as a marketer, if you want to build yourself a long-term sustainable, really create yourself into this powerful influencer. You need to understand something. Most marketers don't understand.

You need to master something that most marketers don't master. That is how to come from a position, how to approach your business, and how to build your business from a position of power. How do you do that? If you do everything else right and you don't take care of this one component, see, making money on the internet and then building this successful business, unlike most people think, most people approach this business, from an angle of, well, I'm just going to wing it.

I'm just going to do what I can do today. I have no idea what I'm going to do tomorrow. I'm just going to wing it and see what happens. They get that type of results.

I like to approach my business from a very strategic point of view. One of the things that we're really here today for, and really for this particular… for this particular training series is to give you, to empower you guys with the tools, with the knowledge, with the behind-the-curtain secrets, strategies with some advanced tactics that most marketers don't understand and will never understand unless they go through a program like this, to where you can literally position yourself as the most influential marketer out there.

I don't think we're going to be talking about income a lot today, in today's lesson, so I don't think I need to play the income disclosure video. But just in case I do drop any income numbers or, you know, any… you know, if I start talking about income or mention any income, just, you know, quick verbal disclaimer that, you know, the results are never guaranteed. I cannot guarantee you nothing, you know.

I cannot guarantee you're going to wake up tomorrow. I cannot guarantee I'm going to wake up tomorrow, you know, and, you know… If you follow what I'm going to teach you, I don't know. You might get rich.

You might get poor. You might die. I have no idea. Hopefully, you're not going to die.

Hopefully, you're not going to get poor, right? Hopefully, you'll get wealthy beyond your wildest dreams because, man, it's possible. You know, it is so possible. So, with that being said, let me just go ahead and jump over to my good old little PowerPoint here that I prepared for you guys in a minute, and we're going to go through this.

And, again, if you're taking notes, take notes. We're just going to hang out here, have fun, and I want to share with you guys some really cool stuff that you guys will be able to implement in your business and just take things to a whole new level. All right. So, here we are, the biggest month ever.

I hope that this is actually visible for you. All right. Your position of power. All right.

So, let's just dive into this right away. Okay, guys. We're going to start with… Give you a quick pre-frame for this particular lesson, okay?

Nothing I'm going to teach you today is theory, okay? Nothing I'm going to teach you today is, you know, I'm not going to talk to you about this stuff just so I can waste your time. Man, I am in, you know, today I just happened to be in Miami, Florida. You know, we have a 10K retreat here with my group, you know, some of the people that won the, you know, promotion we were running.

We're going to be on the yacht. We're going to be hanging out here on Friday. I am in Miami, so I certainly don't have, you know, I don't want to waste your time. I don't want to waste my time, certainly.

You know, I got my family here, and I would rather be hanging out with my family than to waste your time. But I'm here to talk about two very important areas in business, in building your business. Area number one is we need to master what I call the inner game of power. We're going to talk about that, okay?

Every single marketer needs to master that. Second area is you need to know how to engineer, how to position yourself as a powerful influencer, okay? Not a powerful marketer, not a powerful promoter, a powerful influencer. Here is something you might want to write down.

If you can learn, okay, or let me just take it back. I'm going to say this. When you learn how to influence people from the position of power and authority, okay, you can get anything you want in life, period. Because everything that you will have is going to come from people, okay?

And, guys, please, you know, what I'm going to show you tonight, please use this for good, okay? I mean, you can use this kind of stuff for good or bad. Please use this for good, okay? So let's just kind of start with this.

The three attributes of success. Here is, before we can talk about, you know, the rest of the stuff we're going to talk about, it's very important for you to understand one thing, okay? Okay? If you want to succeed as a, you know, as a marketer, if you want to succeed as a business owner, as the entrepreneur, man, it is just, let's just cut through the, you know, through the fat and just get to the stuff that really matters, okay?

Here is the deal. You will never be successful if you don't have the desire to be really wealthy, okay? That's it, period. I don't care what anybody tells you.

I don't care what anybody preaches to you. I don't care what you, you know, what your previous condition may have been. You know what? Most of people were conditioned that, you know what?

You can only have. You can only have so much in life, and that's your boundaries, and this is your little box, and you just play in your little box, and that's it, okay? If that's your approach, forget about being wealthy, okay? Listen, there is nothing wrong with being wealthy, okay?

Just get that out of your mind, you know, if that's your belief. I'm going to help you, you know, shatter some of those limiting beliefs tonight if that's what you suffer with. I know there's a lot of people who, like, consciously, they may think that, you know what? I don't have a problem with that.

Man, I really want to be wealthy. You know, I really want to go out there. I really want to go out there and create myself, engineer myself the biggest month ever. You know, guys, like, right now, listen, I am, you know, I just, you know, we were just chatting today, earlier today with the Leadership Council of Empower Network, and I put this out there, right?

And I shared this with Dave. I said, look, guys, you know, this for me right now, right, it got to the point to where it's like a big, it's like a big game for me, okay? It's no longer about the money, and it will not be all about the money for you all the time, okay? At one point in time, this will become.

It will become like a big game for you, and my thing right now is I'm just, you know, I just set myself this thing, this goal, you know, a milestone. I said, look, I'm going to engineer, okay? Notice how I worded this. I said, I'm going to engineer a $1.5 million month, okay, you know, with an Empower Network, okay, for me, an income.

How I'm going to do that, I have no idea, to be honest with you right now, but that's what I'm going to do, okay? And it starts with. You deciding, okay, so, you know, if you're building this business, man, you need to have a desire. Like, if you don't have this, I cannot help you with anything else.

If you don't have a desire to be really wealthy, I really cannot, you know, do anything to you or for you that would change it for you, okay? This one thing that, you know, is one of those things that you need to take care of for yourself. And how do you do that? How do you take care of that?

Well, it's not really about the money. Wealth is not about the money, man. You know, if you have $100. In your back pocket, you know, you might be considered wealthy compared to, you know, a child who is starving in a third world country.

You know what I mean? So, the desire of being wealthy is really the desire to live the most fulfilled life that you can live. It's the desire to be able to, you know, to provide for your family the most awesome things that you can possibly provide for them, for your team. That's really, you know, it's the desire to live your life to the fullest and control.

It's the desire to contribute and help others and whatever it is that wealth really represents to you. But you need to have the desire, okay? That's step number one. Step number two or attribute number two is ability to take advantage of an opportunity when it comes, okay?

Now, let me tell you something about this. A lot of people wait for opportunities to come, okay? Knock at their door. And, you know, opportunities do come from, you know, every now and then.

But. They, A, either they don't recognize an opportunity or, B, they, you know, they don't take advantage of an opportunity. My approach is a bit different, okay? Your ability to take advantage of an opportunity when it comes, I'm not saying here that you need to wait for opportunities to come to you.

Yes, sometimes opportunities come, okay? But in the context of our program that we're putting together here with, you know, together, okay? In the context of what we do here, let me rephrase it a little bit, okay? Attribute number two, we can say your ability to take advantage of an opportunity that you engineer.

Make sense? Okay, so you need to, I don't want to be in a position to where I am dependent on somebody or something, right, to present an opportunity for me. I want to be in a position, you want to be in a position to where you can literally engineer an opportunity. Does that make sense?

Okay. How do you actually engineer an opportunity? How do you do that? Because you can actually, everybody listening to me tonight, guys, I don't care who you are, where you come from, I don't care what your background is, I don't care what you have done in the past, what your, you know, experiences have been like.

Listen, you can engineer an unbelievable, most awesome opportunity in your career and then you do thing number three, which is your commitment to work your tail off, man. Your commitment to work your butt off after it presents itself, after you engineer it, okay? After you create or engineer this opportunity, you just need to get to work and be committed to making it happen no matter what. Again, we're going to talk about this stuff.

There's a great quote that I love from Thomas Edison. I'll just put it up here. He says, opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. Okay, think about it.

So many opportunities, and it's so true, right? Opportunities come. And, you know? They look like, you know, it looks like work.

And that's why most people are not willing to take it, okay? So let's talk about how to, you know, this thing called the inner game of power, okay? How does it work? Really, there is, what it's going to come down to is there is a force.

If you can imagine this, okay? There is literally, everybody has this, guys. There is a force inside of you, okay? You call it whatever you want.

But you can, you can literally, you can align the forces that create lasting success and make you unconsciously competent, okay? So what does that mean? So that means that, think about riding a bicycle, okay? Think about tying your shoe.

Think about driving a car. Think about, I don't know, you know, ladies putting on makeup, you know, guys shaving. I don't know what else you may think about, right? So something you do without really having to think about, but something that you needed to learn.

Okay? So in the context of what we do in our business, in our industry, everybody can learn how to become and get to the level and get to the point where they are unconsciously competent. This is really where you want to be at, okay? To where you don't have to think about what you're doing.

You just do it. Listen, a lot of times, you know, I don't sit around and I don't, like, consciously think. Like, through, you know, what I'm going to say when I, like, say when I do, you know, a sales video or something. None of my stuff is scripted ever.

I, you know, I think if I would script anything, I would just, it would be a total failure. I never, ever script my stuff, okay? Especially, like, when I do promo videos or marketing pieces. Like, I don't sit down and I don't consciously think about, okay, what am I going to say here and what word I'm going to use here.

It just, it just, like, you know, I just turn on and I just go, okay? Same thing with, like, writing an ad. I mean, I typically don't take a lot of time to do that kind of stuff, okay? I've developed myself as a marketer to the point in this particular field, okay, in this particular game, I've developed myself to the point to where I am unconsciously competent.

You know, I don't have to think about a lot of this stuff anymore. Now, I used to, okay? I used to think a lot about stuff like this, and that's okay. You know, a lot of you guys are watching this.

You know, a lot of us started out. Myself included, as being, you know, unconsciously incompetent. You know, we did not know what we did not know. And then some of us moved through a different phase, and, you know, and we became, you know, consciously incompetent.

You know, we knew what we did not know. We started to understand, right? But you want to be unconsciously competent. Again, we're going to talk about that in great details.

There is no such thing as overnight success, okay? No such thing. And every single entrepreneur who is a real, genuine, you know, long-lasting success, there is not, everybody started from ground zero, guys. They worked their tail off.

And then, you know, all of a sudden, they became overnight success, quote, unquote. Success comes from doing what everybody else don't want to do or not willing to do, okay? Again, this is just basic stuff, guys. We're going to get into a lot of these strategies here as we progress into tonight's training.

Here is the thing. The inner game of power, okay? How to position yourself as a powerful influencer. It comes.

It's going to start with changing the way you think about yourself and what it takes to succeed in life. You know, I was, just the other day, I was listening to a guy who, at one point in his career, he was earning a million dollars a week in commissions. This is not revenue. This was net in his pocket.

A million dollars a week, okay? And he was doing a seminar, and he was training on how he was doing. What he was doing at that particular time. And, you know, I like to listen to people like that.

You know, I like to listen to people who are way more successful than I am. Heck, you know, I don't earn a million per week. It would be nice, right? So I like to listen to people who are way more successful than I am.

And here's what this guy is talking about. And I'm sitting there and listening to him, and he is, like, kid you not, man, 90% of what he is talking about is mindset, confidence. It's belief, how to engineer that, how to, you know, how to develop yourself, how to develop your inner, you know, your inner talk, right? How do you develop your inner thoughts and how to develop the way, you know, how to really take how you see yourself to the next level inside.

Now, he was, and he was talking about the business, right? He was talking about the business, but the business part was, like, 10% of what he was really saying. Everything, and I'm listening to him. I'm, like, man, isn't that true?

Listen, I'm hearing this over and over and over again from people like. Bob Proctor, from people like Tony Robbins, from people like, you know, Jack Canfield and Sir Richard Branson and, you know, and Joe Polish and, you know, Dan. I mean, all of these guys who, you know, who are considered to be the gurus, right, they all seem to be talking about the same stuff when it comes to the really the fundamentals. You know, think of that, you know, if you can, you know, picture, you know, an iceberg, right, floating up, you know, in the ocean there.

What we see is the. Tip of it, right, like 10% or 5%, the vast majority of the thing, of the iceberg, the whole power of the whole thing that moves it is below the surface, is below the water that's invisible, okay? And in our business, see, everybody wants to know the tip. Everybody wants to know the, well, the marketing, the this and this.

And, of course, we're going to get into that. You know, guys, you know, you have access to internet traffic formula that you purchased. You know, if you didn't purchase that, man, you're just missing out completely. You need to get that.

And that's a lot of, like, traffic generation. I mean, it's not, it's not, it's not, you know, it's not a biggie, right? I mean, anybody can learn that kind of stuff. But it's very, very shallow if you just focus on that stuff alone, right?

If you miss out your inner stuff, your inner game of power, if you miss out on, you know, on this kind of stuff, nothing else really is going to be important. And I know there are some people watching this right now. And some people are like, Vic, man, this stuff is not important, okay? Okay.

I'm going to ask you a question. How much money did you earn last month? Okay. And that will tell you, all right?

I did not think this stuff was important. And I was broke. And then I started to really take a look at this stuff differently. And I started to really believe that this stuff is important.

See, a lot of you, some of you guys, some of you, and maybe that's you listening to my voice tonight. You need to start believing that this stuff is actually important. And this stuff is actually something that you need to learn. And not only learn, you need to really master.

You need to really, really make a decision and commitment, right? Commit that, you know what? You are going to master this. And it's a never-ending process.

I am still learning this stuff. I am still, you know, and I haven't arrived by any means, you know? But it all starts with you, the way you think about yourself. Here's what Michael Jordan says.

Michael Jordan, you know, everybody has obstacles, right? We all go through struggles in life, you know, obstacles and problems. And challenges and everything. Michael Jordan says, obstacles don't have to stop you, okay?

If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. In other words, guys, there is no such thing as failure, okay? Something else that I deliberately, you know, I started to believe is that no matter what, no matter what obstacle, no matter what you run into.

I mean, I've been into situations in my life where, I mean, it seemed like there was like a wall in front of me, a wall behind me, a wall to the right, to the left, and then like boxed in, you know what I mean? And I learned that, you know what? That stuff doesn't have to stop me. And, you know, there is no such thing as failure.

I mean, literally, there is, I don't believe there is a situation that you can run into to where, there is no way to get around it, okay, or get through it, or get over it, okay? Remember this quote by Michael Jordan, great quote, love the guy too. Five ways to overcome obstacles. Okay, we're going to run through this real quick.

We need to get rid of our old patterns that lead to failure, okay? We're going to talk about that. We need to, you need to master your emotional state, okay? Again, these are just kind of like an overview of, or like a, you know, a bird's eye view of how to, you know, start mastering the inner game of power, okay?

Again, there are some old patterns we need to get rid of, you know, we need to master our emotional state. We need to understand how the brain works. Again, we're going to talk about that. Mastering your fear is very, very important, you know?

And then, we need to set lofty goals, okay? So, let's kind of dive into this. Identifying old patterns and behaviors that create fear. Okay, so let's kind of dive into this.

Identifying old patterns and behaviors that create fear. Okay, so let's kind of dive into this. Identifying old patterns and behaviors that create fear. Okay, so let's kind of dive into this.

Identifying old patterns and behaviors that create fear. Okay, so let's kind of dive into this. Now, when we're building our business, and if we want to be powerful influencers, okay, if we want to be looked at in this industry as, you know, celebrity authority, which, by the way, even if you are just getting started, my friend, listen, if there's one thing I can convey to you right now, that would be this. Start seeing yourself as a leader, okay?

Start seeing yourself, I don't care if you, you know, if you're going to lead others or not, start seeing yourself as a leader right now. Because you know what? That is going to start with you leading yourself, okay? People will not follow you.

People will not buy stuff from you if you don't see yourself as, you know, as a person who can give yourself a command and follow it, okay? If you cannot control yourself, if you cannot control, you know, your emotions, how can you control a sale? Ever thought about that? Okay?

Now, there is some behaviors, and there are some patterns. Again, guys, some of this stuff is going to be a little bit advanced, okay? Some of this stuff is going to get into a little bit, you know, we're going to get a little bit deep into some of this stuff. So you might want to watch this over, you know, a few times to really get this.

And I'm going to recommend you guys do some things at the end that will also help you with this, okay? But there are patterns. It's like programming the computer. It's like the software, okay?

It's like programming the computer. It's like the software, okay? Some patterns are empowering. Some patterns that we have are, you know, success-type patterns, and a lot of them are fortunately, they're patterns of behavior that create roadblocks to our success.

And then, you know, we grind, right? We try to move forward. We're doing marketing. We're buying ads, and we're buying leads, and we're, you know, we're trying, we're trying, you know, we're building landing pages, setting up campaigns, and for some reason, it's not working.

When we look at somebody else who is, you know, running next to us, and those people might be just running circles around us, okay, and then we, you know, and we think, what is going on here, okay? Here is the, here's a couple of things I'm going to recommend, okay, for everybody. And certainly, this is something that I, you know, that I work really hard on myself as well, okay, is we need to eliminate the word should from our vocabulary. I mean, literally, just get rid of it, okay?

Should is, see, this is the favorite word for procrastinators, okay, people who don't, you know, don't want to do things, and they want to put it off, and they say, well, I should do this, I should do that, and I should have, and I shouldn't, right? It, basically, what it does is it tricks us into confusing intentions with actual behavior, okay? Get rid of the word should from your vocabulary. You don't need it, okay?

Something else, you know, you might want to make a note to get rid of is try, okay? There is no try, like, I mean, you're going to try to tie your shoe, you know, you, I mean, you're either going to do it or you won't, okay? Here's what I found. For you to be perceived as a powerful influencer, okay, you, this is, and I'm going to try to explain to you so that it's easy to understand, but at the same time, I want to make sure that you get the idea, okay?

It's not as easy as everybody would think it is, okay? Because if it was easy, everybody would be powerful influencers in this world, okay? But it's not impossible. And furthermore, I'm going to say this, it's actually very, there is a very scientific formula for doing it, okay?

If you look at anybody who is really, really, you know, anybody who really has, you know, a big influence and who can influence and move people, they all come from, you know, this, like a different state of mind, like a different energy, like a different, hold on, are we still on? I'm not sure if, if we're still on because my, it looks like my internet just got shut down. Travis, somebody, if you guys can, can, can text me real quick, let me know if we're still on, that'd be good. I'm going to continue because my internet just got disconnected.

It should be on. I should be back on again. I apologize about that. Okay.

I'm just going to continue talking here. But you know, we don't try. In this business, if you're going to try, you will be just another marketer. Everybody just tries, okay?

People say, well, I'm just going to try. I'm going to try to do that. And really what they're saying is, I'm not confident. I don't know if it's going to work.

I'm just going to do what, you know, what I think is best and just kind of go from there, you know? The word try is a killer. The word, thanks Tony, the word should is going to kill your business as well, okay? You're good to go?

Okay, I'm good. Okay, cool. Second thing is, is this. Get rid of the problems, okay?

See, the second most destructive word is problem. Okay? Guys, it's disempowering. Okay?

This, the word problems, you know, problems, they drain our creative energy and overwhelm you. Okay? They make you focus on, you know, where you are instead of where you really want to go. When we think about, when we think about, when we think about what's going on in your, you know, in our business, in our lives.

And, and there is a lot of, you know, there might be a lot of crap going on. Okay? There might be a lot of, you know, issues and things, whatever. Okay?

But, see, the way our brains work, man, it's very interesting, you know, when, when, when we were created, you know, we have this ability to look at things from, you know, from different angles, really. Okay? So, how you look at things will determine how things are for you. Okay?

Eliminate the word problems from your vocabulary and replace it with the word challenges. Okay? I, I, I believe, and this is something I do for myself, guys, and I'm just sharing with you my personal, you know, my personal strategies. Because a lot of these are not, these are not like the how-to's.

These are really more of, of strategies and, and, and really tricks that you can play on yourself. Okay? That would, that will open, no doubt, that will open, you know, flow of, of good ideas and, and, and, you know, and will clean up your pipe of abundance, if you will, so to speak. You know what I mean?

And again, this works great for me, folks. When I look at things that go, that goes on in my life, you know, I mean, sometimes we all have, you know, things come up. Business, you know, we try to do something and it doesn't work or whatever. Right?

Right? Right? We look at them as challenges. Okay?

I have a, I have a, you know, I, on our team, right, with what we do here, we have, you know, our own support people. You know? And, and I have this guy working for us by the name of Paul. Right?

And when, when this dude came to me, he was, man, he was so focused on all the little tiny things that was going on around us. You know? The, you know, the, the server would, would go down. And we have people emailing us.

You know? People emailing, you know, screaming. And he's like, oh, man, what's, I mean, this is like the end of the world, man. And I'm like, dude, just chill.

You know? It's, it's, it's, it's not, you know, it's going to be okay. Everything's going to be okay. You know?

And then he's like, man, how can you be like that? And then something else happens again and, and, you know, I'm like, dude, just, just relax, man. Just, you know, it's all going to be cool. Listen.

If, if, if you're going to, if you're going to confess your problems in life, in business, if something happens and if something goes not the way you want it to go. Okay? And you focus and you dwell on that as a problem. You're draining your creative energy and you're draining, you're literally, you're literally draining your power.

Okay? It's like, it's, it's like that, it's, it's like the power is, is just, is just, you know, you're just way, you know, it, it, it just, you know, it leaves you. Okay? It just drains.

Okay? I look at things as challenges. Whatever is going on in, whatever, it doesn't matter what it is. It's a challenge.

Okay? The only other way that comes to me is how can I overcome it? How can I rise above it? The first thing that we need to do, works great for me, okay, is I just envision.

Whatever is going on, this might help you. Whatever is going on, okay, look at that little thing from a 30,000 feet above. Okay? So it's like, picture that you're, you're flying in an airplane and you look at the little house.

Okay? The little house is your little problem. Okay? You look at it from, from above and, you know, and, and you see, you know, you're not in it.

Okay? Like when, when a plane goes up and it goes through clouds, sometimes when it's, when there is a storm, man, when it, when, you know, when you go through those clouds, it's like, man, it's like, phew, there's turbulence, there is lightning, there is everything, right? It's like, pretty, pretty horrible scene, right? But when the plane rises above the clouds, when you rise above your problems, and see, a lot of this is, is in our heads.

And this is a trick that I play for myself, works really, really well for me in my business. It allows you to stay calm. Because you look at your, well, your quote, unquote problems, right? You look at your challenges and you rise above them.

You rise above your clouds and then, you know, you're like, how can I overcome it? How can I go through it? What can I do? How and, and, and what can I questions, okay?

How do I, how can I, what can I questions will really help you. But this is something, again, we're going to come back to it a little bit later. Thing number three is, and again, this is just identifying our, you know, patterns that don't serve us. Is, stop letting your past mistakes control your present thinking, okay?

Listen, you are not the mistakes of your past. You're not. I am not, okay? You are the resources and capabilities you have gleaned from those mistakes, okay?

Your mistakes and failures represent your greatest asset. My friend, if there is one thing I can tell you, is that so many marketers, okay, they don't have, they, they literally cannot, you know, they, they don't have this moral authority. They don't have authority to position themselves and it's very, very difficult for them to position themselves as a powerful influencer, as a powerful leader, as a powerful promoter, as a powerful marketer. Just because they let their, their past mistakes and failures control how they presently think about their business, okay?

They see themselves as this little mini me, okay? And, and, you know, and I'm just, you know, I'm only myself. I'm only this, okay? And that, see, sales is all psychological.

Okay? Okay. It's all psychological. Sales, guys, is all emotional stuff.

It's, it's, it's like, it's not, it's like electricity. You cannot see it. You really can't. You know, sometimes you, you know, listen, I've seen marketers who put up great, just amazing presentations.

I mean, just everything by the book. You know, they have, you know, there, there is courses, there is colleges that people go to to learn how to become, you know, a salesperson for, you know, really. I mean, there's, there's, there's courses that teach people how to sell and things like that, right? And here is the one, two, three for selling.

And you know what? You can put, you can put all, you can take the best, you know, selling one, two, threes, the best formulas out there and you can put them in the right order. But if you don't have this stuff right here taken care of, man, if you have this limiting stuff or, or this past, you know, things that, that, that limit your, your present thinking, right? As you're going through that selling presentation, you know, I've seen marketers with the most incredible.

Most, you know, buy the book sales presentations ever that don't convert. Why? Because it's like that electricity, man. It's, it's all, it's the unseen stuff, okay?

Why was I able to, to, you know, to earn the amount of money that I was able to earn with Empower? You know, why? To be honest with you, I really cannot put a pulse on it now. You know, I just do things just because it just feels like I need to do something.

You know what I mean? I, I don't, I don't need to sit there and brainstorm. Whatever, you know, if, you know, I, I shared with you guys my, my, my, my, you know, story what happened with me 2009, right? To where that was literally the, the, the lowest point in my life ever, like ever, okay?

And see, if I could bounce back from that. See, now that gives me. Power. Okay?

That gives me an ability to go out there and not take anybody's excuses because if I could bounce back from being at the lowest point in my life to where I literally lost my business, I lost everything, okay, and I could bounce back, there is no, there is nothing that can stop you. Okay? I've seen people who, you know, who, you know, small things happen to them and all of a sudden they're, you know, they're, they're emotionally drained. Okay?

They cannot bounce back for weeks. You know, they, they had a little disagreement with the spouse or whatever, right? And, and then they cannot promote, they cannot market, they cannot, you know, move forward with their, in their business. You know, if you're going to let that little thing stop you, right, it, you know, you need to, you need to handle it.

Okay? We're going to talk about how to do that. So, thing number four is we need to focus on the right things, okay? Poor people focus on what they are afraid of, their problems.

And then they wonder why they get the same results they do, right? Rich people, however, focus on where they want to go and how they need to get there, okay? What they need to do to get there. Again, guys, basic fundamental stuff, but repetition is the mother of skill, okay?

If you're going to talk about creating yourself as a powerful influencer, okay, this stuff right here absolutely needs to be mastered, okay? You absolutely need to master this stuff before you get there. Okay? Before you can, you know, before you can really take things to the next level.

Where focus goes, energy flows and results show. We all know that, you know, and what you focus on expands. If you have not read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, I highly recommend you pick that book up and read it. It's by T.

Harv Eker, okay? That was the first book that introduced me, you know, I got exposed to these ideas when I read that book. You know, I got exposed to some of the, you know, some of the things that later, you know, I found to be, you know, fundamental among people who are really successful, okay? So how do we break old patterns, okay?

Really there is, there's a couple of different ways we can do this, okay? There's a Newton's law, we all know, right? An object in motion tends to stay in motion unless it's, you know, intercepted and affected by a different force. So we're, see.

Okay. Okay. So as humans, right, we are conditioned to look at problems rather than solutions. I mean, it's just in our nature when we, you know, when we're born into a family, we, you know, that's how our parents thought, that's how we got conditioned when we were growing up, okay?

And it's important to understand that. Breaking your patterns, your disempowering patterns and developing new ones is really, it's a two-step formula. A two-step process, really, okay? Step number one is you need to interrupt them, okay?

Guys, I'm just sharing with you, again, this is a program to where I'm just taking you behind the curtain of how I, you know, built my business and how I think and how I, you know, how I go about doing things. This stuff really works for me. I have no idea if it's going to work for you. I'm not saying this is the only way to do it, okay?

I'm just sharing with you what's working for me, okay? And that's that. If it works for you, great. If it doesn't work for you, try something that will work for you.

But the main, at the end of the day, is, you know, this is the kind of stuff that everybody needs to master, okay? So interrupt your pattern, which is, you know, a lot of times it's, all it takes is just a simple awareness, okay? We become aware that our old patterns are getting in the way of us achieving our goals, okay? A lot of people are not, you know, they're so, they're sabotaging their own success by just not, you know, they're sabotaging their own success by just not, you know, they're not mentally raising themselves above, you know, their present circumstances, right?

And not doing anything about it. You know, they think, well, this is just who I am, and this is just how it is, okay? You know, I found if you just tell yourself, if you look at something and it's not serving you, let's say if you do something and it's not serving, okay? Simply tell yourself, hey, this is an old pattern that does not serve me well, and then, make a conscious decision, okay?

Make a conscious decision to think and act differently, and I think I just misspelled the word. Make conscious deception. No, conscious decision to think and act differently, okay? Having a willpower, and I, there is a book, man, I really wanted to recommend a book to you guys.

The title escapes me, but if I remember, I'll tell you before the end of the lesson. There's a really, really good book that talks about willpower. You know, it goes, for building business, listen, it's not difficult to build a business. It's not difficult to, you know, to get in the best shape that you want, if that's your thing.

You know, it's not difficult to live a, you know, a healthy, you know, a healthy life. It's not difficult to do that. It's not difficult to do that. It's not difficult to do that.

It's not difficult to do whatever you want to do if you want to do it bad enough. You know, it's just not. Step number two is condition in a new pattern, okay? So the old pattern needs to be replaced with a new one and more effective one, otherwise it will keep coming back.

So you know, if, when we get rid of the old pattern, we need to replace it with another one. I'm going to show you guys how to do that the best way that I know. For now, just remember that you're, you're, you know. Don't allow yourself to be the creature of circumstance, okay?

Instead be a creator of circumstance. And some of this stuff where I got, I got some really, really cool trainings that we're going to be, we're going to be diving into. Some really good stuff in the upcoming, in the upcoming lessons and, you know, exactly how to do that. And guys, trust me, this stuff is a little bit, you know, if it seems like, okay, where do I get started from, you know, with this?

Trust me. Everything's going to come together. At the end of this whole, you know, series, you will be, you will literally become unstoppable, okay? As, as an, as an entrepreneur.

You will be a, you know, a marketing machine, if you will. Only if you follow this stuff and if you really take this stuff seriously, okay? Promise you. Because this is exactly what helped me get to where I'm at today and it works, you know, not only for me but for a lot of people.

Master your emotional state, okay? That's, I believe that's the thing. Number three or number four that we, that we talked about. So here's the thing.

There are certain mental and emotional states that inevitably lead to wealth and success, okay? So if you can, what if you knew what they were, right? And what if we could trigger those? See the thing is, the trick is, is if we can trigger certain mental and emotional states, okay?

That inevitably lead to wealth and success, then inevitably, we're going to be wealthy and successful. Inevitably, we're going to be, you know, it doesn't matter what the economy is doing. It doesn't matter what the company is doing. It doesn't matter what the, you know, what's going on in the world, you know, if the company is changing their sales message, if the company is changing whatever, their marketing funnels, right?

There is certain things that we can do to where we can literally control what we, you know, the kind of income that we, that we earn. Listen guys. I don't, I don't personally, I don't depend on anything, okay? I want to be dependent on me.

I want to be, you know, I don't want to depend on the company. I don't want to depend on, you know, on my sponsor. I don't want to depend on, you know, on the government. I don't want to depend on anybody really.

I want to depend on me. And when you learn how to, you know, how to manage. Okay? Okay.

how to master this stuff and craft this stuff. Again, this is what this training is all about. You will be in a position to where you can create your success at will. If you're in sales, what are some mental and emotional states that will inevitably lead to wealth and success?

It's certainty, clarity, conviction, confidence. Listen, if you're selling stuff, whether it's online, whether it's offline, whether it's on the phone, whether it's whatever, if you are selling stuff and if you're not certain about what you do, if you're not clear about how your stuff works, if you're not clear about your personal vision and mission and why you're doing what you're doing and just your overall agenda and how your business or where your business is going, if you're not convinced that what you're doing is 1,000% right and it will help your client beyond a shadow of a doubt, if you don't have that confidence, that inner confidence.

You know what? You are the best. Listen, a lot of marketers, have you ever noticed how some people are marketing? Have you ever noticed that some people are marketing from a position of weakness, from a position of neediness, from a position of them being desperate, from a position of… Yeah.

They're in the mercy of their customer. If that's you, you need to stop that. When I was starting out in this business and my mentor was saying to me, he said, Vic, you need to start seeing yourself. Leaders, I'm going to give you guys a secret, a big secret that I have not… All the big gurus, all the people who are the ultra-wealthy, they all understand that subconsciously and they all implement that subconsciously, but they don't talk about it.

Do you guys want to know that? You want to know what the secret is? Let me know in the comments. Here it goes.

People who are really, really successful and wealthy and just grounded and people who can create their own business and great businesses know who can create their success and recreate their success and who can bounce back from any you know anything that they may run into okay virtually all of those people see themselves you know superior to everybody else let me explain that you need to understand yeah I don't want to I don't want to I don't want this to sound like I don't want you to get it wrong okay because it's easy to get it wrong so let me explain this see yourself superior to people who who you're dealing with okay here's I'm not talking about seeing yourself as as you know as superior just just like this this false you know self arrogance and and this having this big ego or whatever okay and I'm not talking about going out there and just and just you know seeing everybody else you know being on a lower level than you are okay not that not that kind of stuff but seeing yourself as superior I mean by what I mean by that is you have the skills that you deliberately developed and you deliberately develop okay that naturally put you in a superior position you've got all the time and you get into the right spot because I'm your you've got all the time and you have the right place and that's the key to success okay so what are some of the things that you know that you need to know about yourself happiness and right in a good life overall well it's compassion right it's understanding its empathy and kindness I will understand that now conversely there are disempowering states like fear jealousy right how many people do you know who are jealous of other people's success how many people do you know who are fearful because they don't understand you know they they are in the mercy of somebody else I how many people do you know who doubt themselves who doubt what they do who doubt you know anybody and everything everybody okay how many people do you know who are uncertain how many people do you know who have this guilt or shame right about something that they did in the past or something that you know that happened to them or I'm or whatever right see these are the kinds of emotions that cause you to lose focus and perform at a low level okay now does this stuff have to do with what does this have to do with marketing okay I mean on the surface nothing right but on a deeper level everything it's got everything to do with marketing okay everything to do with how you're going to do it again guys I promise you everything's gonna come together and it's going to be like boom you'll get it okay you'll get it I promise you just stick around stick with us here disempowering states must be avoided at all costs okay so here's how the brain works I mean very very in a very basic diagram here basically we get information a good idea okay we get ideas coming in constantly right we you know we will take input through our eyes to our ears you know to our senses on the way the brain up the do with the way the brain works and II I suggest you guys study this can I'm this is not gonna be a lesson on you know how the brain works always I just want you to be aware K awareness is important okay if you want to be a good marketer you need to know how you opera you need to know how people operate because when you know how this stuff works and why do you do what you do, why don't you do what you need to do, how our brain works is basically there is three main functions.

We delete information, we distort information, we generalize information. That's why this whole goal setting and this whole fundamental stuff is so important for your wealth and happiness, for your results, for your business, for your growth, for engineering your best month ever. Here's the thing, when we have ideas and they're constantly all around us, how we delete stuff is what we focus on. Our brain tends to focus on that.

Whatever your predominant thought is, let's say if you focus on your problems and that's what you see is problems in life or your current situation and that's what you see, you see your brain is going to delete all the other information. Okay. That is not relevant to that which is what the brain is predominantly focused on. So you might have a really good idea, like a seven-figure dollar idea coming to your mind and your brain will automatically delete it and you will not even notice it.

So that's why it's very important to have the clear goals and stuff that you're focusing on that's going to take you to the, you know, in a direction that you want to go. That's why it's important to have a goal card. That's why it's important to have your goals written down. That's why it's important so you can constantly see it in front of you, right?

Because when your predominant thought is that, see you will start noticing ideas. You will start noticing and all the other garbage will get deleted automatically. Okay. It all happens subconsciously.

See, your brain can only process, I believe, five to seven bits of information per second. Okay. Five to seven bits of information. Over two million bits of information every single second gets either deleted, distorted or generalized in your brain.

Okay. It all happens subconsciously. Okay. Like you don't, you don't, you don't consciously think how your hair is growing on your head.

Right. You don't consciously think how your fingernails are growing. Right. You don't consciously think how your blood is circulating in your, you know, in your left foot.

I mean, you don't, we don't think about this. It just all happens unconsciously. Okay. So we distort a lot of information.

Here's something else. You know, when we, we tend to, we tend to, you know, exaggerate whether it's good or bad. You know, something happens and we think it's pretty good, we tend to exaggerate it and we make it, you know, in our minds, we make it better than what it actually was. Okay.

Well, same thing happens to the opposite. If something happened, right, and it's not really good. Okay. Well, our minds, a lot of times we will exaggerate that and make it worse than what it really was.

Okay. And then we also generalize a lot. That's what helps you, helps you from not going, you know, really insane. So last thing is, is let's talk about how to manage fear.

Guys, it's very, very, again, these are just my, my, you know, my ideas. You know, I, we can pretend fear doesn't exist. Okay. It's really a choice of, of, of people who live at the lowest level.

I mean, you, you cannot pretend. I mean, some people say, well, you know, and, and some people told me when I was, you know, going through some of this information in the beginning, you know, they said, well, just, just pretend it doesn't exist. You know, just pretend that there is no fear. Just pretend that you're like fearless.

Well, it doesn't happen because, I mean, if you feel, if you fear something, right, I mean, you need to, you know, you need to, you need to be able to act in spite of fear. Okay. So how do you do that? Bob Proctor, the guy who I learned a lot from, he said something very interesting that I had to, I had to think for, you know, and every, every time I start a project, I mean, every time I start something big, I still experience this and this is a good thing.

He said, listen, if you set yourself a goal and, and, and that goal doesn't scare you a little bit, okay, then your goal is not big enough. He said, you need to set yourself a goal that's, you know, that's big enough that will scare you just a little bit when you think about it. Think about that. Okay.

So, and then you act in spite of fear. You act, how do you do that? How do you do that? Well, you do that by making your goal bigger than your fear.

Okay. So for example, I don't remember who, where, where I heard that, but it was such a good metaphor. Maybe, maybe Darren, Darren Hardy, he was talking about this. He said, if you can, if you can imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine.

If you can imagine this, right, if you can imagine this, a, a, you know, a hundred, a hundred feet, uh, plank, right, a hundred foot plank, put it on the ground and he said, hey, walk through this plank, that's underground, I'm going to give you 20 bucks. Anybody would do it, right? Easy. But then he said, okay, we'll take the same plank, a hundred, a hundred feet, you know, a hundred footer.

And we'll put it on a top of two skyscrapers, a hundred story buildings, put it on top. Okay. And we said, hey, for the same $20, walk across that plank at the top of those buildings, and I'll give you $20. How many would do it?

I mean, you're crazy, right? Nobody would do it, to walk a plank 100 feet for $20 on a roof of a skyscraper. But then he said, let's add this to the equation. He said, what if there was your child on the other side of that plank, on that other building, and you were on the opposite side of the plank, and that building was on fire?

Now, would you walk that plank? Now, things changed all of a sudden, right? So now, your goal is bigger than your fear. Does that make sense?

How can you leverage that with your business? This is a metaphor that I think a lot about when I'm engineering stuff, like when I want to go after something that I haven't done before, right? If I want to conquer a new goal, a new challenge, whatever, right? I make my goal, I make my reward for doing that bigger than my fear and my being a little bit, you know.

Feeling a little scared about starting the project. Does that make sense? If your goal can outweigh your fear, it's going to be easier, much easier for you to act in spite of your fear. Okay?

Does this make sense, guys? I hope it makes sense for you. Okay, let's kind of move on. Okay, so lastly is we need to set lofty goals, okay?

Now, here's five keys that work effectively for me for setting goals. Got to be written down, okay? Put a date. Found it to be very, very important.

A lot of times, you may not hit your goal on that precise date. No problem, okay? But you need to have a date on it. Imagine if, you know, imagine if you were planting a carrot for the first time ever in your life and you have no idea what the thing is and you have no idea what the gestation period for that carrot is.

You know, you just put it in the ground and all you need to do is just water it, right? Now, you… A lot of times with goals, guys, and this is what I do. You know, I would write my goal down and if I start a project, if I start a campaign, if I start whatever, right? I always have a goal and outcome for whatever I'm doing, okay?

An outcome. It's a milestone for me. Not your vision. Your vision, we're going to talk about this next time, okay?

How to create powerful, compelling vision that people buy into. But your vision is, you know, your vision is above your goals. Your goals are little milestones, okay, along the way. So, but a lot of times, I'll just… I'll just estimate how long it would take me to reach that goal, okay?

How long it would take me to get to that milestone. And a lot of times, I'll just, you know, just give my best estimate. Again, imagine with the same carrot example, right? We don't know what the gestation period of that is.

You know, it was the first thing we have, you know, we only saw that for the first time in our lives. And, you know, we put it in the ground and I actually don't even know what the actual gestation period of a carrot is, you know, a couple months maybe. I don't know. But… You know, we think, well, it's, you know, it's going to be whatever, 7 days or 10 days.

And, you know, and we water it and it's not there in 10 days, right? Well, you're going to dig it up and see what's wrong? No, because if you dig it up, what happens? Everything goes back to zero, right?

You got to start from scratch. Now, if you set yourself a goal, you never change your goal if that's what you really want to go after, okay? Never change it. If you change your goal, you change your date, okay?

You change your estimated date for your goal. How many times are you going to change it? However many times you need to change it until you reach it, okay? Step number three or key number three is you need to identify people, groups, organizations you need to align with, okay?

It's very important. Like if I want to engineer for myself right now, right? The biggest month that… Biggest month. Ever, right?

I mean, again, for me right now, it's like a big game. You know, what can I do? You know, what can I do next? You know, it's how many success stories can I create?

And then right now, it's like, okay, you know, can I engineer, you know, a $1.5 million month? You know, I believe I can, right? So, for that to happen, obviously, you know, I want to listen to people who are playing their game at the whole different level, okay? So, you need to identify some people.

What your goal is and you need to identify some people who have reached that goal, okay? And people who know how to do it again and again and again and you need to listen to them, all right? If you can identify a group of people or an organization that can help you, you need to align yourself with them, okay? And pay attention to people who are making things happen.

Don't listen to people who are telling you that you cannot do something. Listen to people who will support you and to people who have done. What you want to do, okay? Very, very important.

If somebody didn't earn, you know, $100,000 a year, don't take their advice for your business, okay? Because they have no idea how to earn $100,000 a year. You know, if somebody didn't, you know, if somebody is, you know, is fat and sick all the time, right? And they're going to try to give you an advice of how to be healthy or what you should do with your health and fitness, are you going to listen to them?

Of course not. It would be silly for you. You wouldn't do that, okay? Same thing in business.

A lot of times, though, you know, we take advice from our, you know, family and people. And a lot of times it's family. And, you know, they may have the best intentions for us, but just because they haven't done what we want to do, it's not a good idea sometimes to take their advice and implement it because it's not proven, okay? Identify people who have proved what you want.

Then take massive action. And step number five is identify what's working, okay, what isn't, and change your approach accordingly. So how long would you give your average baby to learn how to walk, right? I got five children.

And, you know, some kids, you know, they start walking a little bit sooner than others, right? But how long would you give your average child to learn how to walk before you just shut them down? And say, okay, that's it, you know, you will not try again. Of course, we're not going to do that, right?

We're going to continue to teach and we're going to continue to support and we're going to continue to pick them up and, you know, until they walk, right? No wonder everybody, almost everybody on this planet walks. It's because we're going to continue to do what we want to do, which is learn, walk, until we actually start walking, right? How long would you give your business to succeed before you?

You just say, well, that's not for me. You know, in the beginning of this series, right, I said there is no such thing as failure. There is only quitting, okay? Guys, and this is so true, man.

The only people who fail are people who quit. That's it. And if you can ingrain that into your head, if you can remember that, if you can write it down, okay, and see it before you all the time, the only way you fail is if you quit. If you don't quit, if you do all these stuff right here, if you write down your goals, if you put a date on it, if you identify people, and learn from them, okay, and people who have done what you want to do, basic stuff, folks, okay, basic stuff.

When you take massive action, okay, do what you're learning from people who are already at the level that you want to be at, okay? And then if something is not working, change your approach. Guess what? Do it again.

Something's not working, change your approach and do it again. Do it again, do it again until it starts working. But here's the thing here. The key word here is the last four words of this sentence, right?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?

Okay? Okay? You change your approach. You change your landing page.

You change your headline. You change the way you wrote your email. You change the way that you did your webinar, whatever that was. You change your approach and then you do it again.

Pretty basic stuff. Now here's how to become a powerful influencer, folks. We're going to get into some really, really cool stuff here. Number one is, again, master the inner game of power.

Again, this is just basically it's you, folks. Your business is a direct reflection of the same stuff we've been talking about just now. You need to create your character and storyline and very, very few marketers actually do this. We're going to talk about this in a minute.

Then you need to engineer authority and compliance in your marketing and your business. Here's how to do that. We already talked a little bit about the self part. I want to give you guys some ideas on creating character and storyline.

Here's the thing. Embrace the fact that you're going to be a leader right now. You are the guru. You just embrace the fact.

I don't care if you're just starting out. The sooner you can do that, the easier it's going to be for you later on. Now you say, Vic, I'm not a leader. I don't have anybody following me.

You are a leader of self. Start seeing yourself as a leader of self. You are a leader of yourself. Start giving yourself commands.

Give yourself challenges and go after them. Go tackle them. You're going to give yourself a challenge and say, hey, I'm just going to do this. I'm just going to wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning and I'm going to work out.

I'm going to work out seven days a week and stick to it. You say, hey, I'm not going to eat after a certain time in a day and just don't do it. I'm not going to eat whatever, sweets, whatever, and just stick to it. You say, I'm going to build this business no matter what.

I'm going to get to it. I'm going to be on every single webinar. I'm going to purchase every single product if I need to. I'm going to learn.

I'm going to stay up until 5 o'clock in the morning until I get this down and you actually follow through to your own, whatever challenge you set for yourself, whatever it is that you committed to do for yourself. This is how you develop that leadership skills because if you cannot lead yourself, you cannot lead others. You cannot make sales if you cannot sell yourself. Okay?

See, we're all inherently prone to follow a leader. We're literally programmed to believe in heroes from the very early days in our lives. Kids watch cartoons. There's heroes in cartoons.

There's gurus. There's saviors. People are literally programmed to follow somebody. Listen, your market is going to follow somebody anyway, so it might as well just be you.

Why not? They're going to follow somebody. Why not you? Think about this.

Guys, there are so many people out there. So many people out there. Why not you? Seriously.

There is a lot of room at the top. Creating character and storyline, here are five building blocks for doing that. Give me one second, let me check something. I believe there are five things that we need.

You need a back story. If you can craft this and polish this. Listen, what I'm showing you guys here, let me just give you a little bit of a different perspective here. I am showing you this from a perspective of if you want to build your business and not depend on any particular system, any particular guru, any particular leader, any particular sponsor, any company, whatever.

If you want to depend on you, here's what you would do. Now do you have to do this? No. Do you have to follow this verbatim and think of this as well, this is exactly what I need to do otherwise if I just deviate from it one tiny bit I'm going to fail?

No. I'm just sharing with you how I've built my business. Now back story. How you got here?

Remember I told you that everything you're going through in life, believe that everything happens for the better. Sooner or later you can use that for your own good to move forward in your business. So how did you get here? Your back story.

Get very clear on that. What you stand for. Put your stake in the ground and decide what you stand for, what you stand against. When people think about you, what do they think?

When people see your promotion, your company, when people see your website, your blog, what's the first thing that comes to their mind? Are you a dabbler? Are you a jumper? Are you a person who is uncommitted to anything?

Are you a person who is after anything that shines? Are you a person who will do whatever to make 20 bucks? Are you a person who will take your team and lead them into the unknown areas without having a good idea of how it's going to be there? Or are you a person who is grounded?

Are you a person who stands for something and stands against something? Are you a person who is going to tolerate anything? Or are you a person who is not going to tolerate certain things? Decide what you want your business to look like.

Decide what you stand for and what you stand against. Very important in building your character. This is going to come as a very important piece in your engineering. Again later on we're going to talk about creating your powerful vision and then how to actually influence people.

Okay. We're literally from this advanced psychological tactics for influencing people for good. All this stuff is going to come together for you later. Again, I promise you everything is going to make perfect sense by the time we get done with this series.

Okay. Now, what is your unique ability as a marketer? Think about it. A lot of times when we just get started.

We don't really have any unique abilities. We're just followers. We're learning stuff. We're implementing stuff.

This is not something that you're going to develop right away. Your first month or your first 60 days or 90 days or even 180 days. But you need to start thinking about this as soon as possible. What is that one thing?

If you can pinpoint this down to one thing that is your unique ability in this industry, in this space, what are you good at? Are you good at motivating people? Are you good at talking to people? Are you good at just connecting?

Are you good at traffic generation? Are you good at converting? Are you good at just being the best leader of you that you can possibly be? Are you good at being just a really good leader for others?

Are you good at inspiring people? I don't know. What are you good at? What's your unique ability?

You know what you need to do? You need to take this. You need to do that. And you need to expand on it.

You need to exaggerate it. You need to explode it to the best of your ability. So for example, when I was starting out, I wanted to be known for three things really. I wanted to be known as a guy who genuinely just inspires people.

I wanted to be known as a person who…you know. When I talk to somebody, that person is going to feel better about themselves after talking to me than how they felt before. Number two is I wanted to have a unique ability of being a traffic generation, just somebody who understands traffic generation at the level that nobody else can understand. I wanted that to be one of my unique abilities.

And then a third one is I wanted to be known as a guy who…you know, a systems guy who can build a system. And who can automate systems. And systems would be sustainable, right? So for example, I don't want to babysit my business, right?

I want to create a system. I want to put it out there, let it run, and I can take myself out of the equation and the thing would continue to run for as long as I want it to run, okay? So these are my three unique abilities that I wanted to create and that I wanted to craft, that I wanted to polish. And still polish to this day, right?

It never ends, okay? But you need to decide what your unique ability will be. Why is this important? Well, it's important because that's going to be a part of your character as an internet marketer.

That's going to be part of your block as a character, okay, as an internet marketer. The worst thing you can do in your business is try to be everything to everybody. That's the worst thing you can do, okay? So really think about this.

Okay? We're going to talk about that a little bit more as we progress in our upcoming lessons. Now your fable, okay? This is actually a really good one.

Everybody should start thinking about this tonight, okay? If you haven't already, start thinking about this. Start creating, start polishing, start crafting this tonight. Your fable.

What is a fable? Well, it's a condensed version of your story that is used as a selling device, okay? So for example, take a look at David Sharp, you know, a guy who was addicted to drugs and alcohol, you know, swinging hammer. And he can basically tell his story in a 30 seconds, you know, time frame.

They would, homeless, van man, right, who went on to create a company that generated over $70 million, you know, for a couple of years, okay? You know, myself, started from scratch, right, had to borrow $30,000, had no plan B, made it happen no matter what. Okay? What is your fable?

What is your story, condensed version of your story? It's going to be important when you are later, when you're building your image as a marketer, okay? And then number five is your secret language, okay? So you know, if you look at any like organizations, okay, you look at church, you look at, you know, just different organizations, I mean, every organization has their own little secret language, okay?

You know? Our team, for example, you know, our thing is, you know, we say, you know, our members of our team are Bimmers, right? And so people who don't know, who are not a part of our organization, right, just like an outsider, they'll be like, a Bimmer, what the heck is that, right? There is a secret language, and our community as a marketing, you know, internet marketers, we have our certain secret language, right, PPC, CPV, right, solo ads, I mean, people who are outsiders are looking in.

You know, they're like, what, the CPV, PPV conversion, you know, CPM, what is that as a secret language, okay? So our community as a whole, we have a secret language. If you want to create a tribe, which everybody should be thinking, you should start thinking about that, okay? If not, right away, then, you know, as soon as possible.

As you progress as a marketer, and especially if you want to engineer your biggest month ever. You know, for income, or results, or whatever it is that you're after. You will not do that by yourself, okay? You will need to do that with, you know, a tribe.

You will need to do that, you know, with people who are going to be your supporters, with people who are going to be, you know, who will bind to your vision, okay? And so there needs to be, now, the secret language part is not mandatory, but it's certainly, you know, it's something that will really, really help you, okay, long term, okay? So think about that as well. So engineering authority and compliance.

Okay, guys, we're going to go through a lot of this in greater detail, so again, this is, these are really good ideas for you to start thinking about, you know, tonight, or between now and the next lesson. But here's how to engineer authority in a nutshell, okay, and compliance. Now, number one is confidence, okay? Have an unwavering confidence that your stuff is worth at least ten times what they pay for, what people pay for.

Now, you have to believe in yourself first, okay? Why am I telling you this now, and why did I tell you, was telling you about this last, you know, lesson, and the lesson before? And I was really stressing this, I guess it was the first lesson and the second lesson, right? Is because if you don't have confidence in yourself, in your abilities, and how do you gain that?

Confidence. See? It comes from competence, okay? If you're competent in something, and how do you become competent?

Well, you learn it, and you do it, okay? And then you become competent, and then you become confident, okay? You see how things start to kind of, you know, come together, right? So the more competent you are at things, okay, what you're learning, you're implementing, that's very important for you to implement as soon as you learn it.

You become confident, and when you're confident, see? You're doing, just the fact that you're still here, okay, you're watching this, and you're taking your time to watch this and learn this, and then you're going to take the time to do your assignment, right, and actually do what we're going to recommend you do, see? You will become confident because most people are not doing what you're doing right now, okay? Authority and compliance, really, this is an art, really, to where there are several different components that come into this, into engineering.

But one of the main things is your tonality, right? How you, you know, how you write your emails, how you talk on your webinars, how you talk to people. My tonality, I mean, what I want my marketing tonality to be is very matter of fact, okay? So here is how it is.

You either like it or you don't, you know? I don't have to please you, right? I don't have to please anybody. Okay?

That's kind of how I, you know, structure my business. You know, people come to me, they want me to do, you know, special deals for them. I don't do it. You know, I had gurus contacting me, you know, they said, oh, Vic, I can, you know, I can bring in 100,000 people.

Can you buy my, you know, buy my way into your deal, you know, into Empower Network? Heck no, man. I don't care who, you know, I don't care who you are. I don't care if you're president of the United States.

I mean, if you want to join my team, you know, you're going to come through the doors like everybody else, okay? Here's how it is. Here's how it is. And these are my rules.

You're either going to play by them or not, you know? You know, you come to me, right? And again, there's a little typo on that thing. You know, your, if you can position yourself as, and everybody on this, everybody listening to me, right, you guys will all be able to do this by the time that this series, training series is over, okay?

But you position yourself as a marketer. Okay? As a magnet in the marketplace. You don't chase people.

People come to you. And when people come to you, okay, then you have authority over them, okay? You have, you have power over them, okay? When somebody comes to you, you don't need to play by the rules.

You need, you know, they need to play by your rules, okay? So that's the kind of, and again, a lot of this stuff is just mental stuff, okay? You're positioning. So some of the things, and again, we're really going to get into this, I believe, starting with the next lesson, which is your positioning, okay?

You can do that through several different ways. You know, assistance, and if you're just getting started, obviously, you don't need an assistant. But indoctrination is something that everybody can create. So indoctrination is basically where you get other people talking about you, okay?

And there is a way to engineer that, even if you are just getting started. Very, very easy. Very easy process. Okay?

And when others talking about you, okay, it creates positioning for you, okay? And then you want to have control over how you, you really want to control everything in your business, okay? Speak authoritatively. Again, it's going to come down to confidence.

But these are the steps to basically engineering authority and compliance, and what we're going to do starting with the next one is we're going to take a step further, and we're going to go into a lot more the actual how-tos, okay, of how to do this. So if you guys are taking note, these are the stuff that you need to be able to, you know, create a powerful positioning in your business. Here's what I want you to do tonight, okay? And then I'm going to, I'm going to, let's see, somebody is saying there is no sound.

Is there any no sound here? All right. I'm just going to go on. I don't know if there is a sound.

Okay. I don't know if there is a sound or not. Hopefully there is. Guys, if you can set yourself a 90-day goal, okay, include specifics, you know, dates, people you need to align yourself with, skills you need to achieve.

If you're lacking in a skill, write it down. You know, write down and get very clear on where you are right now. I would say come, narrow it down to five to ten most important goals for you, okay? Get very, very clear on that before the next, before the next lesson.

All right. So, thing number two is what I would like for you to do if you would is write down two actions you will take as a result of what you learned in today's lesson, okay? So there was, there was quite a bit of information we went through tonight. I want you to write down two actions, two specific things you will take action on, right, as a result of what you learned, okay?

And then thing number three is create a goal card with two to five main goals and carry it around with you for the next 90 days. So my, hold on a second. Okay, cool. So we're still on.

Okay. Some people are saying that my video is not showing anymore. Okay, cool. So it looks like we're on.

Create a goal card. I learned that from Bob Proctor, okay? He said, look, listen, if you just, if you just write down your two to five main goals that you want to accomplish, okay, on the three by five card, on your phone, on your, you know, Blackberry, whatever. Okay.

You can actually review it where you can see it daily, okay, in front of you and, and just reference it, you know, over the next 90 days. See what's going to happen is your reticular activating system in your brain will focus on that, right? And then all of a sudden you will start noticing opportunities. You will start, you know, noticing ideas.

You will start, you know, thinking about things that you didn't think before that will help you in getting closer to that which you want. Okay? And then next time, for the next lesson, what we have coming up here is secrets of creating, for creating powerful and compelling vision and a lot of this stuff is going to come together. What I'm going to do right now is actually, hold on one sec.

I want to make sure that we're still on here. So if we can, if you guys, okay, I'm back. Okay, cool. So I'm back.

Folks, there was quite a bit of, quite a bit of stuff that we covered tonight, okay? And I hope I did not confuse you. I really hope that. I really hope that this kind of stuff is making sense.

Think about it. Okay? Go through it. Watch it.

I promise you, if you focus on developing that piece of iceberg that's below the surface, below the water, you know, a giant mess that's below the water, okay? This little tip of the iceberg, see, it's nothing. This is your marketing. This is your, you know.

How do I create a campaign? How do I create get response? How do I do this? How do I do that?

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right? That's nothing. The stuff that we're talking about is the stuff that's below the surface of the water that's going to move this entire business of yours at the tip of that iceberg, okay, in the direction where you want it to go.

Okay? Does it make sense, everybody? Guys, I appreciate you. Love you.

Thank you for sticking on here. Hopefully, you got, you know, some ideas flowing. Okay? Think about this stuff.

This is the stuff I genuinely want to help you. I genuinely want you to succeed on the internet. There is room for everybody. There is room at the top.

There is plenty of room at the top, folks. And you can do big things when, you know, when you learn this kind of stuff. Now, is this something that you need to, like, do you need to start going out there and creating your own funnels right away and do these things, you know, when you're just, no, please don't let this interfere. Okay?

Let this interfere with your daily production. Okay? See, what you want to do as a smart marketer is you want to listen to these ideas. You want to develop these into your own strategies and put them to the test on the side over here while you're continuing to do what you're doing right now in your business.

Okay? If you're promoting Empower Network products, okay, great. Do that. There is, you know, they give you, you know, obviously you have access to a done-for-you system, right?

Do that. Okay? But, you know, I want you to start thinking about this for the long term. Okay?

Because long term, you know, you will need to do things a little bit different from what everybody, like, you know, 99% of everybody else is doing out there on the internet. And if you can position yourself just a little bit differently, you know, come across as this, you're going to develop your character. Okay? You're going to develop your style.

You're going to develop your personality as a marketer. You're going to develop yourself into a leader that, you know, you're going to be able to do this. You're going to be a leader that, you know, some people will resonate with and some won't. Who cares?

Okay? But you're going to go after people who will resonate with you. Okay? And those are the people who will be your best friends.

Those are the people who will take your vision and take it to the world. Those are the people who you will build an empire with. And those are the people who will be your best testimonials. Okay?

Again, don't try to please everybody. You want to try to, you want to please people who will be attracted to you. And until next time, thank you for being here. I appreciate you.

With that being said, good night if you're in the States. And I look forward to seeing you in the next lesson. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be fun.

Today, what we're going to do is we're going to be taking things a little bit differently.

One of the things that we're really here today for, and really for this particular training series is to give you, to empower you guys with the tools, with the knowledge, with the behind-the-curtain secrets, strategies with some advanced tactics that most marketers don't understand and will never understand unless they go through a program like this, to where you can literally position yourself as the most influential marketer out there. I don't think we're going to be talking about income a lot today, in today's lesson, so I don't think I need to play the income disclosure video. But just in case I do drop any income numbers or, you know, any...

you know, if I start talking about income or mention any income, just, you know, quick verbal disclaimer that, you know, the results are never guaranteed. I cannot guarantee you nothing, you know. I cannot guarantee you're going to wake up tomorrow. I cannot guarantee I'm going to wake up tomorrow, you know, and, you know... If you follow what I'm going to teach you, I don't know.

Okay, guys. We're going to start with...

Give you a quick pre-frame for this particular lesson, okay?

What we see is the tip of it, right, like 10% or 5%, the vast majority of the thing, of the iceberg, the whole power of the whole thing that moves it is below the surface, is below the water that's invisible, okay?

Okay? I believe, and this is something I do for myself, guys, and I'm just sharing with you my personal, you know, my personal strategies. Because a lot of these are not, these are not like the how-to's. These are really more of, of strategies and, and really tricks that you can play on yourself.

Okay? That would, that will open, no doubt, that will open, you know, flow of, of good ideas and, and, you know, and will clean up your pipe of abundance, if you will, so to speak. You know what I mean? And again, this works great for me, folks. When I look at things that go, that goes on in my life, you know, I mean, sometimes we all have, you know, things come up.

Business, you know, we try to do something and it doesn't work or whatever. Right?

Listen.

If you're going to confess your problems in life, in business, if something happens and if something goes not the way you want it to go. Okay? And you focus and you dwell on that as a problem. You're draining your creative energy and you're draining, you're literally draining your power. Okay?

It's like the power is just, is just, you know, you're just way, you know, it just, you know, it leaves you.

Okay? So it's like, picture that you're flying in an airplane and you look at the little house.

Okay? The little house is your little problem. Okay? You look at it from above and, you know, and you see, you know, you're not in it. Okay?

Like when a plane goes up and it goes through clouds, sometimes when it's, when there is a storm, man, when you go through those clouds, it's like, man, it's like, phew, there's turbulence, there is lightning, there is everything, right? It's like a pretty horrible scene, right? But when the plane rises above the clouds, when you rise above your problems, and see, a lot of this is, is in our heads. And this is a trick that I play for myself, works really, really well for me in my business. It allows you to stay calm.

Because you look at your, well, your quote, unquote problems, right? You look at your challenges and you rise above them. You rise above your clouds and then, you know, you're like, how can I overcome it? How can I go through it? What can I do?

How, and what can I questions, okay? How do I, how can I, what can I questions will really help you. But this is something, again, we're going to come back to it a little bit later. Thing number three is, and again, this is just identifying our, you know, patterns that don't serve us. Is, stop letting your past mistakes control your present thinking, okay?

Listen, you are not the mistakes of your past. You're not. I am not, okay? You are the resources and capabilities you have gleaned from those mistakes, okay? Your mistakes and failures represent your greatest asset.

My friend, if there is one thing I can tell you, is that so many marketers, okay, they don't have, they literally cannot, you know, they don't have this moral authority. They don't have authority to position themselves and it's very, very difficult for them to position themselves as a powerful influencer, as a powerful leader, as a powerful promoter, as a powerful marketer. Just because they let their past mistakes and failures control how they presently think about their business, okay? They see themselves as this little mini me, okay? And, you know, and I'm just, you know, I'm only myself.

I'm only this, okay? And that, see, sales is all psychological. Okay? Okay. It's all psychological.

Sales, guys, is all emotional stuff. It's like electricity. You cannot see it. You really can't. You know, sometimes you, you know, listen, I've seen marketers who put up great, just amazing presentations.

I mean, just everything by the book. You know, they have, you know, there is courses, there is colleges that people go to learn how to become, you know, a salesperson for, you know, really. I mean, there's courses that teach people how to sell and things like that, right? And here is the one, two, three for selling. And you know what?

You can put, you can take the best, you know, selling one, two, threes, the best formulas out there and you can put them in the right order. But if you don't have this stuff right here taken care of, man, if you have this limiting stuff or this past, you know, things that limit your present thinking, right? As you're going through that selling presentation, you know, I've seen marketers with the most incredible. Most, you know, buy the book sales presentations ever that don't convert. Why?

Because it's like that electricity, man. It's all the unseen stuff, okay? Why was I able to earn the amount of money that I was able to earn with Empower? You know, why? To be honest with you, I really cannot put a pulse on it now.

You know, I just do things just because it just feels like I need to do something. You know what I mean? I don't need to sit there and brainstorm. Whatever, you know, if, you know, I shared with you guys my story what happened with me 2009, right? To where that was literally the lowest point in my life ever, like ever, okay?

And see, if I could bounce back from that. See, now that gives me. Power. Okay? That gives me an ability to go out there and not take anybody's excuses because if I could bounce back from being at the lowest point in my life to where I literally lost my business, I lost everything, okay, and I could bounce back, there is no, there is nothing that can stop you.

Okay? I've seen people who, you know, small things happen to them and all of a sudden they're, you know, they're emotionally drained. Okay? They cannot bounce back for weeks. You know, they had a little disagreement with the spouse or whatever, right?

And then they cannot promote, they cannot market, they cannot, you know, move forward with their, in their business. You know, if you're going to let that little thing stop you, right, it, you know, you need to handle it.

You know, I got exposed to some of the things that later, you know, I found to be, you know, fundamental among people who are really successful, okay? So how do we break old patterns, okay? Really there is a couple of different ways we can do this, okay?

Guys, I'm just sharing with you, again, this is a program to where I'm just taking you behind the curtain of how I built my business and how I think and how I go about doing things.

A lot of people are sabotaging their own success by just not mentally raising themselves above, you know, their present circumstances, right?

You know, it's not difficult to live a, you know, a healthy life.

For now, just remember that you're. Don't allow yourself to be the creature of circumstance, okay? Instead be a creator of circumstance.

And some of this stuff where I got some really, really cool trainings that we're going to be diving into. Some really good stuff in the upcoming lessons and, you know, exactly how to do that. And guys, trust me, this stuff is a little bit, you know, if it seems like, okay, where do I get started from, you know, with this? Trust me. Everything's going to come together.

At the end of this whole, you know, series, you will be, you will literally become unstoppable, okay? As an entrepreneur.

Number three or number four that we talked about.

There is certain things that we can do to where we can literally control what we, you know, the kind of income that we earn. Listen guys.

I don't personally depend on anything, okay? I want to be dependent on me. I want to be, you know, I don't want to depend on the company. I don't want to depend on, you know, on my sponsor. I don't want to depend on, you know, on the government.

I don't want to depend on anybody really. I want to depend on me. And when you learn how to manage. Okay?

People who are really, really successful and wealthy and just grounded, people who can create their own business and great businesses, know who can create their success and recreate their success and who can bounce back from anything that they may run into, okay? Virtually all of those people see themselves superior to everybody else. Let me explain that. You need to understand, yeah, I don't want this to sound like, I don't want you to get it wrong, okay? Because it's easy to get it wrong, so let me explain this. See yourself superior to people who you're dealing with, okay?

Here, I'm not talking about seeing yourself as superior just like this false, you know, self arrogance and this having this big ego or whatever, okay? And I'm not talking about going out there and just seeing everybody else being on a lower level than you are, okay? Not that kind of stuff. But seeing yourself as superior, I mean by what I mean by that is you have the skills that you deliberately developed, that you deliberately develop, okay, that naturally put you in a superior position. You've got all the time and you get into the right spot because you've got all the time and you have the right place, and that's the key to success, okay?

So what are some of the things that you need to know about yourself, happiness and living a good life overall? Well, it's compassion, right? It's understanding, it's empathy and kindness, I will understand that. Now conversely, there are disempowering states like fear, jealousy, right? How many people do you know who are jealous of other people's success?

How many people do you know who are fearful because they don't understand, you know, they are at the mercy of somebody else? How many people do you know who doubt themselves, who doubt what they do, who doubt anybody and everything, everybody, okay? How many people do you know who are uncertain? How many people do you know who have this guilt or shame, right, about something that they did in the past or something that happened to them, or whatever, right? See, these are the kinds of emotions that cause you to lose focus and perform at a low level, okay?

Now, does this stuff have to do with, what does this have to do with marketing, okay? I mean, on the surface, nothing, right? But on a deeper level, everything. It's got everything to do with marketing, okay, everything to do with how you're going to do it. Again, guys, I promise you everything's gonna come together and it's going to be like boom, you'll get it, okay?

You'll get it, I promise you. Just stick around, stick with us here. Disempowering states must be avoided at all costs, okay? So here's how the brain works. I mean, very in a very basic diagram here, basically we get information, a good idea, okay?

We get ideas coming in constantly, right? We take input through our eyes, to our ears, you know, to our senses, on the way the brain, up the do with the way the brain works. And I suggest you guys study this. This is not gonna be a lesson on, you know, how the brain works always. I just want you to be aware, okay, awareness is important, okay?

If you want to be a good marketer, you need to know how you operate, you need to know how people operate, because when you know how this stuff works and why you do what you do, why you don't do what you need to do, how our brain works is basically, there is three main functions.

Okay. Like you don't consciously think how your hair is growing on your head. Right. You don't consciously think how your fingernails are growing. Right.

You don't consciously think how your blood is circulating in your, you know, in your left foot. I mean, we don't think about this. It just all happens unconsciously. Okay. So we distort a lot of information.

Here's something else. You know, when we tend to, you know, exaggerate whether it's good or bad.

That's what helps you from not going, you know, really insane. So last thing is, is let's talk about how to manage fear. Guys, it's very, very, again, these are just my, you know, my ideas. You know, we can pretend fear doesn't exist. Okay.

It's really a choice of people who live at the lowest level. I mean, you cannot pretend. I mean, some people say, well, you know, and some people told me when I was going through some of this information in the beginning, you know, they said, well, just pretend it doesn't exist. You know, just pretend that there is no fear. Just pretend that you're like fearless.

Well, it doesn't happen because, I mean, if you fear something, right, I mean, you need to be able to act in spite of fear. Okay. So how do you do that? Bob Proctor, the guy who I learned a lot from, he said something very interesting that I had to think for, you know, and every time I start a project, I mean, every time I start something big, I still experience this and this is a good thing. He said, listen, if you set yourself a goal and that goal doesn't scare you a little bit, okay, then your goal is not big enough.

He said, you need to set yourself a goal that's big enough that will scare you just a little bit when you think about it. Think about that. Okay. So, and then you act in spite of fear. You act, how do you do that?

How do you do that? Well, you do that by making your goal bigger than your fear. Okay. So for example, I don't remember who, where I heard that, but it was such a good metaphor. Maybe Darren Hardy, he was talking about this.

He said, if you can imagine this, right, if you can imagine this, a hundred, a hundred feet, plank, right, a hundred foot plank, put it on the ground and he said, hey, walk through this plank, that's underground, I'm going to give you 20 bucks.

But your vision is, you know, above your goals. Your goals are little milestones, okay, along the way. So, but a lot of times, I'll just estimate how long it would take me to reach that goal, okay?

You know, I believe I can, right? So, for that to happen, obviously, you know, I want to listen to people who are playing their game at the whole different level, okay? So, you need to identify some people.

What your goal is and you need to identify some people who have reached that goal, okay? And people who know how to do it again and again and again and you need to listen to them, all right? If you can identify a group of people or an organization that can help you, you need to align yourself with them, okay? And pay attention to people who are making things happen. Don't listen to people who are telling you that you cannot do something.

Listen to people who will support you and to people who have done what you want to do, okay? Very, very important.

If you don't quit, if you do all these stuff right here, if you write down your goals, if you put a date on it, if you identify people and learn from them, okay, and people who have done what you want to do, basic stuff, folks, okay, basic stuff.

Okay?

Okay, guys, we're going to go through a lot of this in greater detail, so again, these are really good ideas for you to start thinking about, you know, tonight, or between now and the next lesson.

How you write your emails, how you talk on your webinars, how you talk to people. My tonality, I mean, what I want my marketing tonality to be is very matter of fact, okay? So here is how it is.

You either like it or you don't, you know? I don't have to please you, right? I don't have to please anybody. Okay? That's kind of how I structure my business.

You have power over them, okay?

So if you guys are taking notes, these are the stuff that you need to be able to create a powerful positioning in your business. Here's what I want you to do tonight, okay? And then I'm going to, let's see, somebody is saying there is no sound.

Get very, very clear on that before the next lesson.

All right. So, thing number two is what I would like for you to do if you would is write down two actions you will take as a result of what you learned in today's lesson, okay? So there was quite a bit of information we went through tonight.

He said, look, listen, if you just write down your two to five main goals that you want to accomplish, okay, on the three by five card, on your phone, on your, you know, Blackberry, whatever.

Okay. You can actually review it where you can see it daily, okay, in front of you and just reference it, you know, over the next 90 days. See what's going to happen is your reticular activating system in your brain will focus on that, right? And then all of a sudden you will start noticing opportunities. You will start noticing ideas.

You will start thinking about things that you didn't think before that will help you in getting closer to that which you want. Okay? And then next time, for the next lesson, what we have coming up here is secrets of creating powerful and compelling vision and a lot of this stuff is going to come together. What I'm going to do right now is actually, hold on one sec. I want to make sure that we're still on here.

So if we can, if you guys, okay, I'm back. Okay, cool. So I'm back. Folks, there was quite a bit of stuff that we covered tonight, okay? And I hope I did not confuse you.

I really hope that. I really hope that this kind of stuff is making sense. Think about it. Okay? Go through it.

Watch it. I promise you, if you focus on developing that piece of iceberg that's below the surface, below the water, you know, a giant mass that's below the water, okay?

You want to try to please people who will be attracted to you. And until next time, thank you for being here.

I appreciate you. With that being said, good night if you're in the States. And I look forward to seeing you in the next lesson. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be fun.
