You’ve set the same goal about six different times this year. A monthly income number one month. A much smaller first-milestone number the next. Then a number twice the size of the original. Ask you what you want and the answer changes depending on which week you’re asking. That’s not ambition. That’s a compass with no needle.

The frustrating part isn’t that you lack drive. You’ve got plenty of it. The problem is that all that drive keeps getting spent chasing a target that moves every time you look at it, and after enough months of that, you start to suspect the whole goal-setting exercise is decoration. Something you do because you’re supposed to. Not something that changes what you actually do on Tuesday afternoon.

As someone building a network marketing or online business, you’ve probably heard the advice to set clear goals so many times it stopped meaning anything. In the thirteenth lesson of the Top Producer Formula, Dave Wood tries to fix that by getting specific about what clear actually requires, then walking through an exercise most people never actually do: dragging a goal down to the real reason they want it in the first place.

Why doesn’t a dollar figure count as a real goal?

Here’s the pattern Dave points to. Ask most people in this industry what they want and they’ll give you a number. Ask them again next month and it’s a different number, with no relationship to the first one. One month it’s a first small milestone, the next it’s ten times that, with nothing in between explaining the jump. That’s not a goal changing because circumstances changed. That’s a goal that was never actually decided on, just floated.

The fix isn’t more enthusiasm. It’s specificity, to the point where the goal holds up as a scene, not a number. As Dave Wood puts it in the Top Producer Formula, “I like to kind of like write goals in, you know, as many senses as possible, descriptive, sensory-based goals that when I read the goal to a five-year-old, the five-year-old understands the goal.” That’s the test. Could a child picture the moment, see the room, feel what it’s like standing in it? If your goal is just a figure with a dollar sign on it, it’s not clear yet. It’s a placeholder for a goal.

This matters because of what happens the moment things get hard, which they will. A vague target gives you nothing to return to when you hit a wall. A specific one does.

If your energy is not aimed anywhere, it’s going to end up wherever it lands

That line is the whole argument. Energy without a target doesn’t disappear. It just gets spent on whatever’s directly in front of you, which is usually the easiest thing, not the most important one.

What happens when you keep asking a goal what it will actually get you?

Once you’ve got a specific outcome, the next move is the one almost nobody does on their own: you chase the feeling underneath it. Dave calls it chunking toward your source of motivation, and the mechanic is simple enough to do at your desk in ten minutes.

Picture the goal. Not the number, the scene. Then pull one object out of that picture and let it stand for the whole thing, a symbol. Now ask the question that does the actual work, and this one is worth quoting exactly as Dave phrases it in the lesson: “when I accomplish this outcome, what will this get me that I don’t have now?” Whatever answer surfaces, turn that into its own symbol too, and ask the same question again. And again.

  • Round one usually surfaces something practical: paying off a bill, buying something for your family, hitting a number you’ve hit before and lost.
  • Round two or three usually surfaces an identity statement: feeling capable, feeling like you followed through on something, feeling like the provider or the person you pictured yourself being.
  • By round four to six, most people land on something that isn’t about money at all anymore. It’s closer to freedom, or proving something to themselves, or being able to actually be present with people they love instead of just providing for them from a distance.

The reason this matters isn’t the exercise itself, it’s what it gives you later. A dollar figure doesn’t hold up on the day everything goes wrong. The feeling underneath it does. That’s the actual fuel, and most people never dig for it because they assume the number was the point.

Why is waiting until you know what you’re doing the surest way to stay stuck?

Here’s the objection Dave gets constantly, in one form or another: I don’t know enough yet to take action. I’ll set real goals and really go after them once I understand the business better. That sounds responsible. It’s actually the exact thing that keeps people at zero for years.

His counter is blunt. As Dave Wood puts it in the Top Producer Formula, “You’ve got to be willing to take action before you know how to do everything. If you wait until you know how to do everything, you’re never going to get any big results in this industry ever, ever, ever, ever, ever.” He points to watching one of his own top producers close a room full of people while making a specific, correctable mistake in how he was closing, live, mid-presentation. The guy wasn’t waiting for a perfect process. He was already closing people, imperfectly, and adjusting from there.

That’s the actual formula: get a specific outcome, get honestly motivated, then take action with whatever skill you currently have, even if that skill is incomplete. The adjustment happens after you act, not before.

There is no feedback that you’ll ever get that’s better than something that doesn’t work right.

Read that twice. A call that goes badly, an email that gets you a wave of unsubscribes, a video that makes you cringe a year later, all of that is data, not proof you shouldn’t have started. The alternative to occasionally failing in public isn’t succeeding in private. It’s never generating any information at all, which means never improving. Dave’s suggested attitude, in his own words: “Well, since I’m never going to be perfect anyways, I might as well just take action right now.”

What does it mean to study, do, and teach at the same time instead of in order?

Most people build a skill in three separate stages: learn it, then go do it professionally, then eventually teach it once they’re established. Dave argues for collapsing all three into the same week, even the same day.

Study, do, teach simultaneously.

Concretely: you’re learning a phone script this week. Use it on a real call this week. Write about what you learned from that call this week, or record a short video explaining it, even though you’ve barely got a week of experience with it. The teaching step isn’t for your audience’s benefit first. It’s for yours. In Dave’s words from the lesson, “in the act of teaching, in the act of having to explain what it is that you know, you become unbelievably more knowledgeable on what it is that you know and you reinforce the behaviors, but also your mind looks for different things.” Explaining something out loud forces your mind to organize it in a way that passive learning never does.

Put the four pieces together and the pattern is worth spelling out plainly:

  1. Get a genuinely specific outcome, not a floating number.
  2. Ladder that outcome down to the feeling underneath it, several times, until you hit something that isn’t about money.
  3. Act on whatever skill you already have, today, instead of waiting to feel ready.
  4. Treat every result, good or bad, as information to adjust with, then teach what you just learned while it’s still fresh.

None of this is complicated. It’s also not something most people actually sit down and do, which is exactly why the people who do it stand out.

What’s above is the structure of the exercise. The full lesson walks through the entire visualization process step by step, in real time, along with the worksheet Dave uses to run it and the reasoning behind why the mind responds to it the way it does. That complete lesson, video and full transcript, is part of the Top Producer Formula course. If you’re new to it, the entire course is available for $99 at the Top Producer Formula course.

Hey folks, welcome back. This is of course Dave Wood again talking to you from my video office in the mountains of Eskizu, Costa Rica with our final module in the Top Producer Formula. This module is really going to be something special because what I'm going to show you how to do is how to kind of paint your future. If you could imagine that you're a painter and you're just drawing out how you want your life to be on a big canvas. Well, what I'm going to show you how to do is not just paint it but how to walk into it.

And I'm also going to show you in this how to kind of fit everything together and how to take a leap, not a step, but a leap into what's next and skip over just years of pain and frustration. I'm also going to teach you some cool things about the mind. Now, here's what I wanted to start with in this video. I wanted to start with the Law of Attraction, okay?

And really a model of thinking and doing things that works unbelievably well for creating the results that you want. And I believe this is actually the only formula that you ever need to create results. And then within this, you just need to learn specific skills and make adjustments along the way. All right? So let's talk about it and then I'm actually going to walk you through it.

I'm going to help you build an action plan. So in this video, it's important to grab out a pen, grab out a piece of paper. If I tell you to pause the video, pause the video and follow the assignment. It's in the video, okay? Excuse me because I'm going to walk you through some specific things.

All right. So the Law of Attraction, how does it really work? Well, there's a few steps to it. Number one step to the Law of Attraction is this. You've got to have a clear outcome that's actually clear, right, on what it is that you want to accomplish.

Now, what do I mean by actually clear? I mean that most people who are in this industry or they're in another business, they don't have clear outcomes. They say they do. Number one, they're never consistent. They're never focused.

They're never clear, right? And they don't even know why they want what they want. They're just kind of in these things, right? Or they're just kind of like aiming their energy everywhere. If your energy is not aimed anywhere, it's going to end up wherever it lands, right?

Let me repeat that again. If your energy is not aimed anywhere, it's going to end up wherever it lands. So it's important to get clear. Second step is to chunk towards your sources of motivation.

All right. Now, this is something I talk about all the time. And I walk people through a lot. But I'm going to walk you through it specifically with your goals in this video. So once again, step one, get clear.

Step two, chunk towards your sources of motivation. Okay. Step three, take massive action with whatever it is you know how to do. Now, you might say, I don't know how to do what, you know, I don't know what to do next, right? If you have that philosophy.

If you have that philosophy, it's going to prevent you from taking action. Every producer that I know, everybody that I know that creates a magical level of results has a couple of characteristics in common. Number one, they're not perfect, okay? They all do things that they could do better, right? I actually, you know, in this product, you saw me with, you know, Paul Gardner, one of our really good producers here at Empower Network on the stage.

And in the middle of the presentation, I kind of stopped what I was doing to correct how he was closing people. Because he was closing an unbelievable amount of people. But he was doing it in a way where he was limiting the amount of money that he was able to make from the people that he was bringing in.

Do you remember that, right? You're going to have to make adjustments. See, Paul doesn't just wait until he has the closing formula. He just goes out and he closes people. You've got to be willing to take action before you know how to do everything.

If you wait until you know how to do everything, you're never going to get any big results in this industry ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. You've got to take action, all right? Which brings us to the next step, which is being willing to adjust. Adjust your actions with feedback and with new information. You've got to be willing to do this.

You've got to be willing to change. And you've got to be willing to adjust your strategy. There is no feedback that you'll ever get that's better than something that doesn't work right. Let me repeat that again. There's no feedback you're ever going to get that's better than something that doesn't work right.

You might pick up the phone and talk to somebody and totally blow it, right? You might write an email and totally blow it and get a bunch of unsubscribes and everybody hates you for a day, right? You might make a video and you look at the video after you make it and you say, Oh, God, I look just awful. But even more so, no matter what videos you make, and I want you to get this, no matter what articles you write, in a year, you're going to look back at it and you're going to say, Gosh, I was a novice. Because you're going to just keep getting better and keep getting better and keep getting better.

And if you realize that now, that there is no end to getting better, hopefully that will put you in a space where you say, Well, since I'm never going to be perfect anyways, I might as well just take action right now. Because you already know more than, like, 99% of the industry. And there's a lot of people that probably make more money than you that know way less, but they just take more action. So you've got to be willing to feedback and you've got to be willing to adjust your strategies when you get new information, when you get new strategies, when you get feedback. And the best kind of feedback is, once again, what is it?

The best kind of feedback is when something doesn't work the way that you want it to work. You make a note and you say, That didn't quite work right. There was something that I need to adjust. Your mind will start seeking for new information. Now, here's a formula of how you go through your actions, step in a way that will lead to you becoming an expert, becoming powerful, and becoming transformational over the next year or two.

And I teach this all the time, but it's something that I just want to repeat. And my hope is that you're actually going to do it. And that's what most people, when they approach this, they want to study, okay, and then they want to go do, and then they want to teach. And they want to do it in three separate chunks. It's like you go to school, you get a degree, after the degree, you go to work, you go to work for a while, and then after a while, maybe you start a business teaching or something, right?

That's like people have this model of how they're going to build their business. Well, what I'm going to suggest to you is going to be completely different. And if you'll listen to this and if you'll just do it, you're going to create a transformational result in your business. And what is it? Study, do, teach simultaneously.

As they say in Spanish, a la vez, right? That means at once, right? You want to study, you want to do, and you want to teach simultaneously, right? You want to be learning about what to say to people on the phone as you're closing people. You want to be learning about blogging as you're writing articles and blogging about what you learn.

You want to be making videos about the things that you're learning as you're learning them, even if you're new at teaching them. Because in the act of teaching, in the act of having to explain what it is that you know, you become unbelievably more knowledgeable on what it is that you know and you reinforce the behaviors, but also your mind looks for different things. That is the formula for attraction. So I'm going to walk you through it really quick. Okay.

I need you to set an outcome. Now, I don't actually need you to, but you need you to. Okay. I'm going to say I need you to for the sake of the video. I need you to set a goal right now of something that you want to achieve, right?

Set a goal right now of something that you want to achieve. Go ahead and pause the video right now and I want you to set a clear goal, how much money you want to make, when you want to make that money by, right? And specifically what it's going to look like when you step into that image. Now, I like to kind of like write goals in, you know, as many senses as possible, descriptive, sensory-based goals that when I read the goal to a five-year-old, the five-year-old understands the goal. Now, maybe if it's got financial figures in it, you might need to read it to a ten-year-old for them to really get what the goal is, but they can see the image and they feel the image and they feel what it's like to be a part of it just by reading the description, right?

Most people don't set goals like that. I do set goals like that. It's one of the reasons why I create magnificent outcomes is because my outcomes are clear like big movies playing on a screen, right? So go ahead and pause the video. Set a goal, and I want you to write it out clearly, and then come back.

Okay, now that you're back, I'm going to do some things with you, and then I'm going to give you some assignments to carry this further, okay? I'm not actually going to walk you through this entire process as far as I would like to walk you through it in this video, but I want to teach you what to do, and that's chunking to your sources of motivation. You want to get motivated on a different level to do this kind of a business, and really any kind of a business. Really, when you're trying to accomplish outcomes, or when you're putting all your energy to accomplishing outcomes, you need to be motivated in a new and powerful way. The reason you need to be motivated in a different way is because there are going to be problems that you're never going to predict that pop up.

Trust me, there's going to be problems. It doesn't matter whether you're a rep. It doesn't matter whether you own a company. It doesn't matter whether you're building a team system. It has no importance as to what level you're at in your business or how much money you're making and what your next goal is.

No matter what your next goal is, you are going to run into problems. If you are not motivated to a sufficient degree, you're never going to do what it takes to reach your goals, and then you're probably going to blame something. You're going to say, oh, it didn't work. Or you're going to say, oh, I would have done it, but I ran into this obstacle. The world is filled with people who were going to do it, but that can never happen to you.

You can't allow yourself to be in that space. If you allow yourself to think like that, you may as well just not make an attempt because you're not going to make it work because you are going to run into obstacles. It's going to be tough, man. It's going to be tough. So chunk to your source of motivation.

What does that look like? Well, let's walk through a really short exercise for you, and then I'm going to refer you to some other training to go through the rest of this exercise. Here's what I want you to do with your goal. Take that image of your goal and just project it out in front of you and actually see it in your mind. See the image of your goal, the whole thing, where you're sitting, where you're standing, and feel what it feels like.

Feel what it feels like to be standing in that image. For me, I always use these rings for a goal visualization. The reason I do is because I want to create 100 millionaires a year. It's my vision, right? So I always see myself walking out with a big, bright, three-dimensional million-dollar ring, something we give to people when they cross a million dollars in commissions in my organizations, and I see an army of people out in the audience holding up the rings with the light glistening off the diamonds on the rings and an auditorium full of people who have all crossed that threshold.

And I always see that image in my mind, and I visualize that image every single day, and I walk into it, and I step into it, and I feel it, and I know that I have it. Right? So see that image in your mind, and then from that image in front of you, I want you to choose a symbol that represents that image. It could be anything as long as the symbol represents the image and the goal that you're going to accomplish. Go ahead and just pick an image from that goal now, something that you can imagine as a standalone object.

Now take that object, and if you need to pause the video, you can pause the video and take a minute. Take that object, take that symbol. The unconscious mind works and operates in symbols. I'm going to talk about that in a second. I want you to blow it up.

I want you to make it bigger. I want you to make it brighter. I want you to make it more three-dimensional. I want you to make it powerful. I want you to put it out there in space to where you're looking at it even with your eyes open, and it's blocking out the things around you, and all you can see is that image of the goal standing in front of you, and I want you to feel what it will feel like to accomplish that goal as you're staring at that image and making it brighter.

You can visualize even with your eyes open. Right? Isn't that powerful? Now, here's what we're going to do next. My question for you is, as you're seeing this image, and go ahead and keep it in your imagination, when you accomplish this goal now, what will that get you that you don't have now?

And allow just something to pop into your mind. And allow it to form. It could be anything. Answer the question. Right?

Now turn whatever that is into a symbol. Take an object from it and blow it up in front of you. See, when I accomplish my vision of this million, I know I've got it already. I've stepped into it already.

And I know I'm creating it. The length of time at which it'll take to create, I have no idea. I just know that's what I'm creating, because I've created it in my imagination, and I've projected it out into my future. And that is the way people act and behave who create amazing things in their life. They act as if things are happening that seem impossible to other human beings.

And I know I can accomplish things that other people won't accomplish, but here's the key. They can't accomplish them. They just aren't willing to do what it takes. I am, because I'm motivated. See, what pops into your mind when you say, what will this really get me?

Well, that's the purpose of the goal. It could be anything. It could be, hey, I'm going to pay my bills off on time. It could be, hey, I'm going to be able to meet my obligations. I'm going to be able to buy my wife nice things.

I'm going to be able to buy my husband nice things. I'm going to be able to really feel like I've accomplished something great in my life. It could be any source of motivation. Turn that into a symbol and allow it to be in front of you. And with that symbol, ask yourself, when I accomplish this outcome, what will this get me that I don't have now?

What will this get me that I don't have now? And allow an image or allow a voice or allow some kind of thinking to form in your mind right now that's what that's going to be there for. So if you say, hey, I'm going to be able to buy my wife nice things, what's that really getting for you? Well, you might then say, chunking up, we've talked about in these videos, you might then say, well, what that's really going to get me is that's going to get me, I'm going to feel like a man.

I'm going to feel like a powerful woman. Or I'm going to feel like I'm accomplishing my vision. I'm going to feel powerful. That might be what it gets you, okay? So here's what I'm going to do.

I'm going to have you do this exercise. I want you to pause the video and walk yourself through this process somewhere between four and six more times. And I want you to ask yourself the question and go ahead and go along with the worksheet that goes along with this video. When I accomplish this, when I get this, then what will that get me that I don't have now? And then when I get that, what will that get me that I don't have now?

And just keep going and going and going. And here's what you're looking for. You're looking for the answer that will appear in your imagination. And it could appear through an image. It could appear through a feeling.

It could appear through an inner voice that talks inside. You're looking for an answer that appears in your imagination after you stop in silence for a minute. And what do I mean by that? Well, normally when people go through an exercise like that, here's what happens. They ask themselves a question and then they run through a phase where they say, gosh, this is stupid.

I don't even know what I'm looking for, right? And then their mind kind of frizzes out for a second and then they say, okay, when I accomplish that, what will that give me that I don't have now? Then something's going to appear in your imagination. Something's going to pop into your mind. So go ahead and pause the video and wait until that happens.

You may need to redo it four to six more times. Okay, now that you're back, I'm assuming you've done it. If you haven't done it, pause the video and go do it now. Okay. If you're back again for the second time, I'm going to assume that you've done the exercise.

If you don't understand the exercise, follow through with the manual and just go through that exercise before you continue on in the video. It's very important to not just go through this course. It's important to also follow through with the exercises in this course. Okay, now I'm assuming that you have a source of motivation, something that's powerful, something that kind of, when you think about it, man, it's almost like you tear up a little bit. You know what I mean?

Like for me, my source of motivation is to help other people transform. That is my source of motivation. That is my highest source. When I come and I look at what I'm doing, this is who I am, is to help other people transform, is to help people to be able to create magic in their life. And I've been able to create an amazing skill set, an amazing knowledge base, amazing vehicles to be able to do that, amazing training to be able to do that.

I want to create training that doesn't just teach concepts. I want to create training that in the process of going through the training, people have internal transformations. People have internal belief shifts. Didn't you in this training? Didn't you have some shifts?

Right, now here's the thing, right? That's what I want to do. That's my highest source of motivation. So I'm assuming you have something, okay? And if you don't, pause the video and do the exercise, right?

Now I'm assuming you've done the exercise. Here's what I want you to do. I want you to imagine that highest source of motivation and just allow a symbol to form that represents it. It could be an image from the picture. It could be something that you just think about in your mind.

Some symbol, just allow it to form that represents your motivation and just project it out in front of you, right? Project it out in front of you and just make that image bigger. And brighter. And I want you to make it 3D. Make it rotating out in space just ever so slightly as you're staring into it, feeling the feeling that you have in being in alignment with your highest reason of why you're building the business that you're building.

And I want you to take that symbol in your imagination and grab it with your hands and take it and I want you to pull it inside, pull it inside, pull it inside. I want you to step inside that reason of why you're here and just imagine that reason is encompassing your whole being. And as you're standing in that reason, now project your mind and stare out and imagine that symbol for your goal again standing in the source of your motivation. And as you're looking at that goal, know you're going to accomplish it because no matter what stands in the way, you're going to overcome it because you've learned new things in the past. You know, when you were a child, you know, do you remember?

I mean, everybody's been through that where you either learned to walk or you learned to ride a bike. You know, when I was a child and learning to walk, first it was kind of learning to kick my legs. You know, I got a son and he kicks his legs back and forth from time to time and I could tell he's just trying to learn to move his body. And then eventually you kind of like scramble around after a lot of frustration of figuring out, you know, like you had to move your arm all over the place. And then you kind of manage to roll over one time successfully.

And then after another few months, what you do is you kind of push yourself up on all fours and then collapse back on your face and maybe get a bruise or two. And then after another few months, finally, finally you push yourself up and you're wobbling on your legs like this and then you fall back down, right? And you go back to crawling because you've already learned how to do that. And then after another couple of months, you put your hand on something and your legs are wobbling and shaking and you learn to walk. One step at a time.

And a few years later, you can't even remember how, except for you just find yourself sprinting and playing and throwing things and swimming and doing all the wonderful things that human beings can do. Everything you learn has challenges. But when you're motivated, you always step into your future. You always step into your future and create what you want just like you're going to do now with the Top Producer Formula. So, just like you're going to do right now.

So let's do this. Let's teach you why the mind can create things. And this is a couple of things that are useful to know and useful to understand. I'm going to walk you through a little bit of a process as we go through these things, right? The mind is a couple of things.

Number one, it's holographic. Number two, it's quantum mechanical, right? What do I mean by holographic? Well, holographic has to do with the way that memories are stored in your imagination. Over the years we've done research and you can actually take out any part of the human brain and it doesn't matter what part you take out, all of the visual memories in your brain are still stored in your brain no matter what part of the brain you take out.

And the reason why is because your brain isn't storing visual memories in any specific part or any specific circuitry. It's storing them through a pattern of electrical interference known as a holographic electrical interference pattern. So you can take out any individual cells of the brain and even though you take those out, the whole interference pattern that stores the hologram all exists still simultaneously. Let me actually show you how visual memory works and this is going to make a lot of sense to you. Most people think, you know, I can't visualize well.

I've heard that from people all the time. Some people say I can visualize really well. But the reason why people generally think they can't visualize is because they just don't understand how to reproduce pictures in their imagination. Now this does work a little bit different than if you are. I apologize in advance for this highly visual training that I'm walking people through.

You know how to visualize with your body, with kinesthetics, if you've never been able to see. So you can go through this exercise in that way. But if you're a visual person and your mind reproduces visual images, not by re-seeing the whole image, and that's where people run into problems with visualization, the mind reproduces images by reproducing connections between points in the image. So let me actually give you an example and I'll do it with this book here. I use this to map out my trainings and stuff like that.

I've got a lot of cool trainings in this book and then when it's filled up, I'll fill up another book. I've got like 50 of these. So in any case, here's what I want you to do. I want you to stare at this video. Go ahead and make it full screen for a second.

And then just close your eyes without doing anything and try to recreate the entire image of what's on your screen and what's behind and what's around. Probably a little bit fuzzy, right? Maybe a little bit more clear than others. Some of you, you can't even really feel like you see anything, right? Let me actually show you how to visualize and let me show you how to reproduce pictures in your imagination.

Remember, you're not memorizing images. You're not remembering images and recalling those. You're actually recalling connections between images in your imagination. So if you look at the same thing, here's what I want you to do. I want you to pick this point here on the book and I want you to stare at this point with all of your energy and while you're staring at that point allow it to become clear the way that it interacts with the point right what you see above it, whether it's my shirt, whether it's my neck and stare at the connection between those two points in the picture.

Now allow everything around you in your peripheral vision to also come into your vision focusing all your attention on that point only for six seconds. Six, five, four, three, two, one. Stop. Okay, now we're going to talk about something for a second. What you just did was you just poured all your attention into one thing.

Now what I want you to do, just for a second, is I want you to close your eyes, now reproduce just that spot in the image, just that spot, see the detail in that spot, but only that spot and watch what happens. Whole image appears, doesn't it? In perfect clarity, right? Because you're not focused on recreating an entire image, you're focused on creating the connections between the images. This is how holograms are stored in your imagination.

That's the first thing that mind does. That's really fascinating that I'm going to talk about here for a second. The second thing that it does is the mind has quantum mechanical computing capabilities. What do I mean by that? Well, the mind does some really fascinating things where, you know, when, we've been trying to figure out for a long time why there still are some mathematicians that can still solve math problems that computers can't solve.

And we've got like massive supercomputers that, you know, fill buildings and stuff. You know, of course they filled buildings back in the 80s too, but they were less powerful than a computer, you know, in your pocket. Well, the computer in my pocket, which is on an iPhone, right, doesn't have quantum mechanical computing capability yet. There's actually theorems that's what consciousness is. Consciousness is quantum computing.

But one of the things that the mind can do that's a really fascinating characteristic is it can kind of compute all possible projections of possibility at once. Okay? And something just kind of a fascinating observable phenomenon that you're going to notice as you learn to create things in your life. Now I'm not talking about magic and I'm not talking about predicting the future. What I'm talking about is that when you're focused on an outcome and all of your energy and attention is poured into that outcome and you stay focused on it and you talk about it and you act on it, what your mind does is it starts computing and projecting all sorts of possibilities out into your future.

It will set you on the direct path towards your outcome out of all of the possible ways you can decide to go. Right? Now here's the interesting thing about that is the right path to go on to create the result that you want is almost never what you think that it is. Usually what will happen is you're going to start in some path and you're going to run into some big obstacle and you're going to think you're on the wrong path when the reality is that your unconscious mind selected a myriad of possibilities and it selected the only possibility that could lead you towards accomplishing your outcome and there happens to be an obstacle in the way that in order to get to your outcome you need to overcome. You need to overcome that obstacle, right?

And I want you to start looking at obstacles like that because I can tell you story after story after story of weird things that have happened to me in the process of accomplishing my goals where it looked like I was in the wrong place at the wrong time but in fact I was in the only place at the exact time when I needed to be there to be able to accomplish something. Something that didn't even seem possible. Here's what I want to do though is I want to walk through a little bit of a process with you on the ability that you have to really create your dreams because my task as the leader of Empower, my task of doing this product is really one task. I might train you, yeah, I might tell a lot of cool stories and I might know a lot of weird stuff but my task is really one thing is to get you dreaming again and get you believing in your dreams. That and getting you believing in your ability to accomplish your dreams.

That's really my task. If I have anything that's like the most important thing that I do. The most important thing that I do as the leader here is to be able to get you dreaming again, is to get you believing in those dreams, getting you believing in your ability to accomplish those dreams and then giving you the tools that you need to accomplish the dreams as well obviously is one of the things we do. All right. Let's go through a little bit of a process here.

I want you to ask yourself the question, do you really believe that you can create any kind of future that you want? Do you really believe that you can create your outcome? Do you believe that you have the ability as a human being to physically affect the world around you? By your actions, by your words, by your beliefs, by the way that you see things and to actually change the environment you're in, to actually change the amount of money that you make, to actually completely change your situation? Do you believe that you can do that?

What I'm going to do is I'm going to ask you some questions and we're going to walk through a little bit of a process. Number one, if you could do that, what would be the positive force that would have in your life? If you had the ability to literally create new future? Do you believe that you can do that? It's like the law of attraction says, but actually being able to do it, actually being able to go from visualizing something, conceptualizing it, to getting motivated to do it, to taking action and correcting it, to creating it and literally stepping right into it.

If you had the ability to do that, how would that affect your life positively? For me, I look at that and I say, well, I'd have the ability to kind of create any life that I want. I don't have to have only a good family and I don't have to have only a good business. I can have a good family and a good business at the same time. I can have my cake and I can eat it too.

If that makes sense to you. What kind of future do you want to create? What kind of future do you want to create and how would that positively impact it? For me, that's how it would impact it. Now let me ask you something.

What needs to change in what's inside your mind right now? What needs to be redefined, if you will, in order to believe that you have the ability to change your future? What needs to change? For me, I don't actually need to change anything because I could look at all the evidence. I could look at a time when I asked a question and I ran into a person every day for 39 days that just turned around randomly on a street corner and told me to answer some weird question that I was asking in my mind.

I've got the weirdest stories you could ever imagine and they're all true. The reason is because I believe I have the ability to create powerful things. Here's my other question for you is if you do not follow through and you don't act as if you have the ability to change. You just create things and to change your outcome and change your future, how's that going to negatively impact you? Here's my suggestion for you.

It's like we talked at the beginning of this video. If you're not aimed anywhere and you're not acting like you can accomplish it, you're just going to land wherever it is that you land. You might land in something wonderful and you might land in something awful. You're just going to land somewhere. It's like in Kung Fu, our intention behind our attacks, they're always aimed towards the center line.

The reason they are is because when we attack the center line, everywhere we hit towards that line affects somebody's entire center of mass. It affects their whole balance. It affects their power. It affects their ability to attack back at the same time. We're always aimed at the center line.

Where are you aimed? What's going to be the negative consequences if you don't follow through this time? If you don't believe that you really have the power to do this? If you don't really believe that you have the power to do this? Then I want to ask you.

I want to ask you another thing. If you have this ability, and I want you to think about this now. If you had the ability right now to just create a new future, how would you act differently right after this video? How would you change what you're doing in your business? How would you change what you're doing in your life?

If you had the ability right now to completely change the direction of your future and completely aim it in a new direction towards accomplishing what it is that you want to accomplish, I'm going to ask you. How would that change your future? How would it alter it? I want you to make that picture bigger.

I want you to think about it from a different perspective. Stepping back and thinking about it from a different perspective. Looking across your life through new eyes. What else does it mean for you if you can change anything in your life? What does it really mean for you?

What do you really have the ability to do if you can literally create anything? What do you really want to accomplish? What would your life really look like if you could literally change anything in your life? If you could live in the beach and have a house in the mountains. If you could go to move to another country if you wanted.

If you had the ability to buy the car that you wanted. If you wanted a private jet, you could create the money to go buy one. If you had the ability to get up and to share your story and to speak powerfully in front of thousands of people. Or turn a video camera on and walk through a scientific process without ever looking at any notes. If you could create your future.

Create your future. However you wanted to create it. What would that really look like for you in your life? What would that really look like for you? And this is the way that I like to think about it.

I remember, you know, I heard a guy, and this is in 2002, and he was speaking on stage. And this guy was up on stage talking about how he was going to create a hundred diamonds a year. He was in one of these old school companies, you'd all know the name if I mentioned it. He'd been talking about that and speaking it and acting like it was true and acting like it would happen.

And it still hadn't happened. Most people would look at that guy. In fact, I heard a guy in front of me and said, oh, he's crazy. That's never going to happen. Three years later, for the first time, a vision that he'd been speaking and acting upon and acting upon happened.

He created a hundred diamonds in a year. Right? A hundred diamonds a year. The time I met that guy, he had two million active people in his organization. What's possible when you dream big?

What's possible when you rip open? When you rip open your beliefs and you say, what can I really do? What's possible? What's possible when you ask yourself what you could really do? Because you could just take this picture and you could stretch out a little bit because maybe you just see you, but see it's not just about you.

This is about the people that you're around. This is about the people who you're influencing. This is about all the relationships and the connections that you run into and what's possible for them and what's possible for their teams and what's possible for their families. If they can create a new future just like that, what's possible for them? What can they do?

And now, knowing this, and having this faith, having this knowledge that you can go out there, and you could create dramatic shifts in the world. You could create dramatic shifts in your own life. You can create dramatic alterations in your business that just do things that you don't even think are possible right now. What's a new outcome that you'd form right now if you knew that you could do anything, if you knew that you could create a dream? You can create anything and you can paint any future that you wanted.

What kind of car would exist in that future? Just see it in your mind now. What kind of house would you live in that future? What kind of beaches would you sink your toes into as you put your toes walking in the hot sand? Would you just hang out with your family all day by the pool?

Would you be inspiring people on stages? Would you be giving all your money to charity? What would you do if you could create your ideas like that? Just like that. What would you do?

Because you may find yourself struggling. I don't know if this really fits into the way that I think about things. But I want to remind you that the map is not the territory and I want to remind you that the menu is not the meal. That what's inside your head isn't a real representation of what's going on in the world. It's an internal representation of what's going on outside.

Because of that, if what's inside isn't really serving you, if what's inside isn't real, helping you create what you want on the outside, why don't I change what's on the inside? Why don't we form a new map? Why don't we just replace it? Because here's the thing you could do with menus.

If you don't like a menu to a restaurant, what can you do? You just get up and go to another restaurant. When you go to another restaurant, you get a new menu, and you look at the menu, and all of a sudden, it has the food that you want. And when you've got a menu that has the food that you want, all you need to do is tell the waiter what you want to get off the menu. And your life can be like that.

Your life can be like the menu. Because you can just change it out like that. You can just change what you believe. You don't have to believe what you believe right now, because it's probably not true completely and totally anyways. Because last I checked, I don't know about you, but I'm not God.

What would you really do? And here's my question for you. How do you even know your past is real? How do you know? How do you know that the things that you've accomplished before are really your limitations?

And when you think about that, there's silences, because you don't know. And the thing is that because you don't know, what do you know? What do you know for sure? When you think about the sun coming up tomorrow, and you know that's going to happen, or when you think about the fact that you are sitting here watching this video, how do you know you're watching this video, really? Well, here's my challenge for you.

Just like that, you can just overlay this ability of yours to create your new future right over the sun, and put it into the sun. Because just like the sun comes up tomorrow, just like the earth goes around the sun and it rotates on an axis, you have the power and the ability now, right now, to paint a new future on the inside that creates a new world on the outside. Like that. You have the ability to do that. And you can do it.

You can do it. And I want to give you an example of this. Because I like to, you know, talk about really interesting things. I had this vision to start this company, Empower Network. Popped in my head in an instant like that.

I just started working on it. And what I wanted to create didn't make any sense. Nobody could do it. No software could do it. What I wanted to create made no sense to people.

I shared it with some people and they kind of brushed it off. But I had a vision and I started working for it. Got a programmer, who started programming our site. He messed up stuff that cost us $100,000 later to fix. Right?

And then he quit right before we went live. Right? Quit right before we went live. But I knew, I knew that this is what I was supposed to do. Because I know that I could create my future like that.

So the last possible moment and the only moment when I would ever do something like this, I went and I looked inside the lines of code on our website. And I found somebody's phone number in there. And it was the guy that had written the code that ran the background of the website. The code that the other guy had bought that had tried to set up this website and couldn't set up. So I called him.

And he lived on the other side of the world and he picked up the phone. And I told him what I wanted to do. And he said, I can create it just like that. I can get that going just like that. And all of a sudden I found myself, six months later, sitting in front of my computer, remembering this come into my mind, remembering my vision get clear.

And realizing that I'm not just in the right place at the right time, I'm in the only place I could be to step into my vision like that. Now if you redefine things, right? What greater things can be affected? What greater things can be affected if you have the ability to change your future? To not just become a top producer, to not just become a great team builder, but to become a great person.

To become somebody of influence. To become somebody who can influence the masses. What does that really change? One man, Martin Luther King. Didn't he change the world by having a dream?

Didn't that guy I talked about in 2002 have a dream that sounded impossible that he took 35 years to accomplish? Didn't I create something impossible? Starting an internet company was the only thing that ever duplicated on the internet until I taught other people how to do it. Right? Can't you create something impossible?

I suggest that you can. Because when you take this concept and you apply it back on yourself, here's what happens. If you can create anything, your team can create anything, if they can create anything, you can pick up the phone and you can tell them to join powerfully and confidently just like that. Because if it took me six months to get my first person and then years later, I'm bringing in 5,000 customers a year personally, what can you do? Aren't you doing a little bit better than me?

Aren't you? What does this really fit inside? It fits inside a big picture of the world where you're impacting people if you stretch it out. Because everything you do matters. Everything you do changes people.

Every word that you speak impacts somebody on the phone, impacts somebody who reads an email, impacts somebody who attends a seminar. Right? Everything that you do matters. You know, just a couple of years ago, I had a guy that lived in Costa Rica that was in Empower Network, Justin Berengia. He was living in Guanacaste.

I was living over in a little town called Portolone. I invited him down to my house. Now, what I didn't know is at the time, he was struggling to pay his rent in a 350 square foot apartment, which does not cost very much money in Costa Rica. He'd been blogging for five years. This is what we're really doing.

Came down to my house, we talked for a few days, and I told him a bunch of stories. And we went to a waterfall. We went to a waterfall one day, and in the waterfall, there's water rushing down, and it was one of those things where it rained a lot, and there's a riptide. If you know what a riptide is, you've been near the ocean, right? A riptide is like a tide you don't want to get in, right?

But basically, the water was falling down, and it was pushing against these rocks. And it was pushing down. There's a rock wall like this. And so if you got here, the water would push you under. Well, we didn't know that because I'd never been there before.

And I was sitting there, and I was talking to Dee, Justin's wife. Well, Justin went out swimming in the waterfall. And I didn't hear him for a second. And then all of a sudden, I asked Dee. I said, where's Justin?

She said, he went over there. I said, is he okay? And I looked over, and I knew he wasn't okay. And sometimes, you've got to reach down inside yourself. You've just got to make decisions.

Just like, bam, I've got to make a decision. So what I did was I just ran after Justin. I just dove underneath the water. Because at the time, I was lifting weights, and I was pretty strong, right? And I was a lot taller than Justin, a lot bigger.

I could tell that he was about at the point where he was about to go under the water, and he would have drowned. And I went underneath the water, and I ducked underneath, put my feet against the wall, grabbed his legs, and I thrust my legs off the wall, and I threw him over. His wife grabbed him, and he got out of the waterfall, right? And then I struggled my way out. I was a little bit bigger, and I could get a foothold on the rocks in a certain way.

I barely got out, right? But something magical happened, and here's what happened. Justin shifted that day. He went from a place where he was going to make it sometime in the future to a place where he realized that any moment could be his last, and this is his only time to create, just like it might be for you. So you need to make a decision.

So what are we really doing? Well, there's a difference between what we do and what other professions do. There's a difference between creating a residual income and learning to produce. There's a difference between building a team and keeping a team around. There's a difference between just selling, and there's a difference between recruiting.

There's a difference between recruiting and dream building. There's a difference between learning to produce and learning to produce in a way to where you get more free when your team gets bigger rather than more encompassed with work. There's a difference between a generational leader and somebody that just leads other people. There's a difference. And where can you learn the difference and where do you go next?

It goes back to the attraction formula. You need to study, do, and teach simultaneously. Congratulations on completing the top producer formula. Now it's time to learn to build teams because this is an art and a skill. And I'm going to show you both in the next product.

What's the next product called? It's called the team builder formula. Why is it called that? Because I'm going to teach you what to do with all these people you're bringing in and how to do it in a way that makes you more free, not less, as your team grows bigger. In fact, I'm going to show you how to manage an organization as it goes through 1,000 people, 5,000 people, 10,000 to 100,000 people to 300,000 people.

I'm going to show you how to produce more with less work as you grow bigger. I'm going to show you how to help your new team members succeed more while simultaneously making your production happen automatically rather than through hard work. I'm going to show you how to train people without training them. I'm going to show you what we're really doing. And I'm going to show you how to be a dream builder.

I'm going to show you how to build people's dreams. Because when you get people dreaming, you get people believing, you get people believing in themselves, you get people creating the new future like that, something magical happens. So if you don't have the team builder formula, go ahead and buy it right now. Go ahead and pull out your credit card and buy it right now. Because wasn't this course worth it?

I promise you so will that product be. And I promise you that I will only teach you things that are in the best interest of your business because we believe that you have the ability to become great. I believe that you can do this. I believe that you can build whatever business you're in. I believe that you can do things that are beyond your imagination.

Because I have found that when I believe something, it's like the universe just cracks a little bit. I don't know if that's true, but here's what I do know. I know that you can do this and you've got everything inside. Now, make a decision and I'll meet you back in the team building formula. Congratulations on completing the course.

Congratulations on becoming a producer. Now it's time to take action and continue your learning in the future. In the team builder formula, one module at a time, because I'm going to teach you some stuff that will be so powerful in creating your business. It will give you the appearance of creating magic in your life. See you in the next video.
