Most people run their first live online event the same way. They talk for an hour, teach everything they know, and end with a shy little mention that there’s something for sale, if anyone happens to be interested. Nobody buys, and they conclude that live events don’t work.

In this session of the Top Producer Formula, recorded live on stage, Dave Wood does something more useful than explaining why that fails. He pulls his teammate Paul Gardner up in front of the room and builds a live internet event from scratch, on the fly, so you can watch every piece get assembled: the structure, the stories, the testimonials, the scarcity, and the close. As someone who’s ever hosted a hangout or webinar that ended in polite silence instead of sales, this is the anatomy lesson you were missing.

What are the moving parts of a live event that sells?

Dave and Paul sketch a twenty-minute Google Hangout designed to upgrade existing team members into a training product, and the skeleton they build from is a repeatable sequence: capture attention, develop a relationship, earn the right to be heard, clarify the problem, solve the problem with your product, set clear expectations, stack testimonials, make an offer, take away the risk, give a reason to act now, and deliver the call to action. Dave describes the whole thing as a formulaic approach to getting people to make decisions, and the point of constructing it live is to show how little preparation it needs once you know the parts.

The assignments take about two minutes. Paul will open with his own before-and-after story, the transition from struggling to producing, because that story connects the audience’s present to their possible future. Dave will earn the right by explaining why the two of them are worth listening to. Both will clarify what someone who doesn’t own the product is missing, then show how the product solves it. For an offer, they’ll bolt on something cheap to deliver but valuable to receive, like a private backstage hangout for buyers. And notice the detail most people skip: even getting attendance is engineered. You don’t email your team an invitation to a meeting. You email them a promise, a session on strategies to build faster and recruit more with less work, because without a reason like that, people simply don’t show up.

Why is helping everybody the fastest way to stop producing?

Before the demo gets far, Dave tells the story that reframes the entire offer. Early on, he recruited by promising to do everything for people: set up their websites, hold their hand, coach their every move. It worked, which was the problem. He sponsored so many people that his life became unmanageable, his days disappeared into setting up WordPress blogs and answering every whim, and his own production collapsed. Worse, his team duplicated exactly what they saw him doing, helping instead of producing, and then wondered why nothing moved. If you promise everything to everyone, he says, three to five people will consume your entire life.

So he flipped the message to its exact opposite. He went back and re-recorded roughly eight videos to say: you should join my team because I won’t help you at all, and here’s why that’s valuable to you. Do you want to spend your business hours as a free telemarketer for fifty people, or do you want to learn to produce? One version of that message generated constant hassle. The other generated two weeks of exactly zero hand-holding phone calls, from people who joined anyway. The refined version of the idea isn’t cruelty, it’s structure: never give away access to yourself as a bonus, because if it works, you’re trapped. Instead, limit access, and attach it to bigger steps. His team runs a private weekly mastermind open only to people who own a specific product and above, capped at five new people a week so the group stays high-level. That cap isn’t theater. It’s real scarcity, and real scarcity is the only kind you can honor.

What makes a testimonial actually sell?

Mid-session, Dave calls audience members to the front to give live testimonials about a product they own, then coaches the room on what worked, which turns the segment into a masterclass. The format he demands is rigid: the pain before, why you took action, the specific result you got when you did, and your name. Thirty seconds, then hand off the microphone. What he forbids is the meeting rambler everyone recognizes, the person who loves the people and loves the vitamins and is so inspired every single week and hasn’t produced anything yet.

When one man gives a sincere but vague testimonial about becoming clear and seeing what to do with his business, Dave stops the line and dissects it, kindly, in front of everyone. There’s nothing specific in it. It describes something that might happen someday, and a maybe-someday is not motivating to anyone making a purchasing decision. If it’s not results-based, it’s not a testimonial. The fix is either to get specific about a small, real result, one hundred leads from following the strategy in one lesson is a perfectly good testimonial, or to go get such a result and come back. The strongest ones that night followed the format exactly: a first paid ad that produced hundreds of leads and a string of sales within a week, a massage therapist who applied one module’s lesson to her own offline business and landed her biggest sales to date. Stacked back to back, fast, those stories do something no argument can: they dissolve objections before they’re asked. Social proof, Dave says, is how you overcome pretty much every objection, because the questions and the resistance simply never appear.

How do you close without being wishy-washy?

Dave learned the direct close from an Eric Worre training, back when he was dragging prospects to meetings that ended with an info pack and an invitation to think about it for two days, which he calls some of the worst closing training imaginable. Worre’s magic close sounded too simple to work: after the meeting, stand up, face your guest, and ask what they liked best. Agree with their answer. Then say, sounds like you’re ready to get started, and ask how they want their name spelled on their paperwork. Dave tried it at his next meeting expecting nothing, asked the question, heard sure, and found his own hand shaking as it worked on the first attempt.

If you tell people what to do, they will do it. If you don’t tell people what to do, they’re going to be confused as to what to do and they’re never going to do anything. Tell people what they need to do.

He demonstrates it live with Paul, walking through an enrollment the way he’d do it on a real call: I just sent you a link, click it, tell me what’s open, fill out the first field, hit submit, then watch the video that pops up next, and welcome aboard, our team call is tomorrow night. No asking. No if you feel like it, maybe, whenever. Every instruction is specific, and each one is small enough to follow immediately. Pair that with honest deadlines, spots that really do close, timers that really do expire, and people respond the way they never respond to open-ended invitations.

Two warnings close the session. First, don’t promise what you won’t deliver. Coaching is easy to sell and painful to deliver, and over-promising it wrecks trust, so offer bonuses you can actually fulfill. Second, coaching doesn’t create movement anyway; it only helps people who are already moving. The leader’s job is to work with groups at scale, spot the people in motion, and pour into them, which is exactly the system this event structure feeds.

This session is one piece of the full Top Producer Formula, where the event formula connects to the lead generation, belief work, and closing systems taught across the rest of the course. If you’re new to it, the entire Top Producer Formula, this lesson included, is available for $99 at the Top Producer Formula course.

This week, script your own twenty-minute event against the eleven steps, recruit two testimonials in the pain-action-result format, and write your call to action word for word, with a real deadline attached. Then deliver it like you mean it, because you do.

I want to give a couple of examples of some ways of constructing things from this formula here. And I pulled Paul up here for this. Poor guy's been standing there forever. I actually just wanted to do it because he's attractive.

You know what I'm saying? But he's standing there. But I want to give a couple of examples and just construct them on the fly to show you how you can use this. All right, so we're going to do one. And let's do a short one, dude.

Let's do like 20 minutes or something. You know, something short. We'll just make something up for like a Google Hangout. What should we sell?

Give us something. Should we sell product and power? Should we make something up? Huh? Huh?

Well, let's do something we have. I don't know if I want to sell Inner Circle. People should just buy that. 15K? 15K formula?

Okay, okay. Here's a question for you so we can construct some testimonials, right? Who in here has bought the 15K formula and you've gotten results from producing it? You've gotten some kind of specific result. Whether it's you learned some sort of strategy that helped you recruit more people or make more sales.

A lot of you, right? Okay. So, at a certain point in this, I'm going to have you line up and come up and give testimonials. Okay? Yeah, and I'll do some coaching on testimonials afterwards.

But here, Paul, let's construct this on the fly, all right? So, we'll do this in front of people, all right? So, here we're going to sell the 15K formula, right? So, we're talking people are already in and we're going to upgrade them, right? Because you can just...

You can use this to sell. You can use this to upsell. It's just a formulaic approach to getting people to make decisions. Does that make sense to everybody in here? Okay.

So, capture their attention. That's easy, dude. You know what I mean? I'll let you do that. Develop a relationship.

Actually, what I want to do is I'd like for you to share a story about the Pulse story. You got it? Yep. Okay. Okay.

That'll connect the dots between where you were just a few weeks ago and then where you are now, the difference. Does that make sense? Okay. So, just share that transition, that before and after. Earn the right, okay?

I'm going to tell people... I'll do this. I'll come back and I'll tell people why they should be listening to us and be paying attention, okay? The easy stuff based on our results. Clarify the problem, right?

I'm going to talk to people that either don't have or haven't been through the 15K formula, right? And what they're missing. And then I want you to do that, too. Okay. So, I want you to talk about, like, for example, the...

Okay. If somebody's in your team or people are in your team, they don't have the 15K formula, really what their problem is that they're going to have by not having that product. Okay? That's all. And then we're going to show them how to solve that problem by buying the product.

Easy enough because we both know what's in it, right? This is, like, not really a lot of planning, but I'm going to give you an example. Set clear expectations, okay, on what's going to happen then. Then we're going to have testimonials, right? We're going to tell people what's going to happen.

If they buy, give them an offer. What should we do for an offer? What do you think? Hmm. For the 15K, huh?

Probably a little hangout backstage or something if anybody doesn't have it and they buy. Yeah, like a 30-minute coaching 15K. I actually don't even know if anybody here doesn't have the 15K. Right. So, you know, we'll do something like that.

Okay. Take away the risk. It's easy, right? We'll, we'll... Huh?

Okay. So, give them a reason to take action. We'll give them, what, like, two minutes. We'll do something like that. Kill the call to action.

Okay. So, we got it. We got it. So, I'm going to give you an example modeled in, like, we could do this as a Google Hangout live thing, okay? Google Hangout live thing.

Imagine it's either as just an example for how to do something. So, the way we'd get somebody to something like this would be we would have people in our team and we'd email them or people, customers or whatever, and we'd email them and we'd say we're going to do, you know, a special team hangout where we're going to teach you some strategies to build your business faster, make more money and recruit more people, right? With less work, right? Something like that to get people there because otherwise people won't show up if it's not something like that, right? So go ahead and just start talking.

Cool. We'll bounce off of each other. We've got hangouts together and stuff. Cool. The 15K formula and how it changed my life, right?

Prior to actually getting the 15K formula, I was building my business and earning very teeny, eensy, weeny, tiny little checks. And I recognize that's not how you build a business, especially... We actually had a conversation about those tiny checks you were getting, didn't we? I called you up and I was saying, you know, you're bringing in a lot of people. Why aren't you making more money?

Remember that? Yeah. I just was interrupting. Yeah. Oh, that's fine.

I just got back banter back and forth, right? Paul was in a situation, right, where you were actually doing amazing things. And I popped on a hangout. I remember it. I was with you and Tracy Walker and I was like, holy smokes, you know, remember that?

I do. I talked to you for like an hour after that. And we had some conversations, right? And one of the things that we said, you know, because everybody here wants to be able to make a lot more money in your business, right?

Right. Well, to make a lot... Right. Everybody here wants to make more money, right? So, to make more money in your business, what do you need?

Right? Leads. Yep. What else? Leads, sales.

Sales. High ticket commissions. Yeah. High ticket commissions is something that's helpful to making a lot more money in your business faster, right? Yep.

You need training on how to sponsor people, how to sell, how to close, right? These are all little parts of making more money in your business, right? Let me actually give you guys an example of something that you can do, all right, in your business to immediately start getting more upgrades and making more money no matter what it is that you're selling. Problem most people have, and I'm going to talk like this, just bounce in and out whenever you want.

I just wanted to create an answer for the problem. The problem most people have, and this is just the truth, right, is most people are willing to do everything for nothing, okay? Hey, get in my team. I'll set up your websites for you. I'll hold your hand.

I'll touch your butt. We'll walk through a field of flowers together. I'll give you a back massage while we're sponsoring somebody, you know. Oh, I'll even send your emails for you if you just give me your AWeber logins, you know. I'll do team screencasts together, you know, and I'll show you exactly where to click in your back office if you can't find something.

Because, you know, I'm so helpful. And the funny thing about that is that I was actually doing that for like a year, holding people's hand, being a Mother Teresa to everybody, because I have a very giving nature, and I just felt like it was the right thing to do. Well, it's not because you're giving nature. It's because you think that's helping people, and the reality is, no, it's counterintuitive sometimes, the things you need to do to build an actual business, right? Because we got to give an actual training as an example, right?

It's counterintuitive. Things you actually need to do to build your business are counterintuitive sometimes, right? One of the things that's counterintuitive is holding people's hands doesn't help them at all, ever. Doesn't. No, not at all.

Right? Do I ever hold your hand? No. I call you up and say, hey, Paul, let me grab your butt while you go and make sales. I'll help you by giving you a butt massage.

I sent him like five messages, and he didn't read any of them. He actually sent me five, and they each said, you know, Dave, I need a butt massage, or I won't get sales, right? Now, I actually had a funny story with that, too. See, when I got started, where this comes from is, when I got started, I was sponsoring people by telling them I would do everything for them, right? I would do everything for them if they just joined my team, right?

Now, that's a really good strategy, because people buy, or so you think, until they buy, because then you got to deliver on your promise, and if you tell people you are going to help them with everything, you can't really ever bring in more than five people, ever, because five people who you help with everything will consume your entire life. And they will. I mean, maybe even three people, right? So, what happened to me is I got really good at sponsoring fast, because I was offering a bonus, hey, I'll help you with everything, right? And then they got in, and I was like, shit.

Well, here's what happened, and this is useful for everybody building an organization, right? I sponsored so many people, that my life instantly became unmanageable. I was on the phone helping people set up WordPress blogs, I was helping people make sales presentations, coaching people, taking their every whim and desire, answering emails, like a wonderful Mother Teresa of the internet, right? Well, the problem is, it became so much, I stopped being able to produce. Where do you make money?

Producing. Producing, right? Producing, right? So, what happened? My sales went down to nothing, because I was helping everybody, right?

And guess what people do, who you're helping? They do what you're doing. And help more people do nothing. With less people. Except for if they don't have anybody to help, they're like, I don't have anybody to help.

What do I do, right? That's exactly what happens all the time, right? So, I just made a flip. I actually asked, I was like, I can't handle this. How do people build big teams?

I've got like 50 people, and my life is a disaster, right? And then here's what happened. I asked myself a question. What if I told people the exact opposite? What if I told them the reason you should join me is because I won't help you at all?

And that's my bonus, right? And I went back, I changed like eight videos, and I literally changed the messages to, "By the way, why should you join my team? You should join my team because I won't help you at all." And here's why that's valuable to you. Because, why you're doing this?

Are you doing this because you want to make money? Do you want to be a telemarketer? Do you want to be online all day, helping people set up WordPress blogs? Right? Do you want to be helping everybody close each and every single one of their prospects, to help them do it right?

Do you want to coach each and every single one of your team members on every strategy they ever learn? Because if that's why you got in this, I've actually got a job for you. I've got an opening for a telemarketer as a part of my staff, and I'll pay you four dollars an hour, and we could just skip this whole living the dream nonsense, and you can get started tomorrow. I'll pay you four, and then you can call all my team if you like.

You know, each message worked about the same, right? Except for one of the messages resulted in exactly zero phone calls in about two weeks after doing it. The other message resulted in, like, constant hassles to help everyone. Pretty cool, huh? Oh, yeah, and it took me, again, it took me a year, even after, of course, listening to that, day in and day out.

You're like, whatever, but he's different. Yeah, and, you know, my life was miserable for sure, and I definitely was just, you know, my production was very low, and I know when you're new, if you're somebody that's not getting a result, and you bring somebody in, you feel like you got to take care of them, because, like, they might leave, or they might not pay your bill, if you don't help them, and I had that attitude, and as a result, I was bringing in 10, 15 people a month. So, let me tell you, number one, how to create massively more upsells, okay? Just by, number one, realizing that you're not, you can't help everyone. If you have a big team, you can't, but number two, right, how to reframe something that you're doing in order to create more people who are buying enough, buying products that are more expensive in your organization.

Here's how to do it, right? You limit access to yourself, not as a bonus, because that's silly, right? Please, for the love of God, don't ever do that, because if it works, you're screwed. Instead, you limit access to yourself, right, by people taking bigger steps, okay? Because if people get in your team, and you help them in groups, and then you have a private mastermind for people who take a bigger step, who here wants to be part of private masterminds?

I mean, that's what we all want, isn't it? Guys, be honest. I'm not making you buy anything, right? Most of you who are refusing to raise your hand already have the 15K formula. Stop being a wean bag, right?

No, seriously, we all want to be a part of something, right? We all want to be a part of an inner circle of people, a mastermind group of people. We all want to be close to the source of information, right? Who in here wants to be more close to your upline? Like, truthfully, you want to be more close.

You want to be more close to the people that know how to make more money. Who in here knows you need mentors to be able to get to the next level? Vic talked about this weekend, right? You need mentors to be able to get to the next level. Who here was excited about that product launch that he did just because of the fact that he's actually coaching people and walking people through each of the strategies?

You guys excited about that? See, because the reality is when you have mentors, when you have people that can guide you, when you're close to a source of information, you're going to be able to get to the next level. And that's what I'm talking about. It allows you to make leaps forward in your business, right? That you weren't able to make without them because they can kind of fix things that you, problems that you have along the way.

You can't see the picture that's in the frame. And here's what we do. Here's what we do in our team, right? What we do in our team is, we have a private group of people that's for people who have the 15K formula only and above, right? So if they have that product or above, we have a private mastermind.

We meet together weekly where we all test different marketing strategies and we implement those strategies and we share feedback and share results and share what we're doing that's working. It's not open to everybody. It's limited and we limit the number of people that we take into this group all the time, right? Because if we take too many people into it, what happens is too many people come in and then we got people that are just starting and it interferes with the group. So we want the rest of the group, right?

We want the mastermind to be high level. Does that make sense, everybody? Right? So what we do is we limit it, right, to five people a week, okay? The reason is because we do a private class with those five to help them get started, to help them make sure they get the information that they need to market their business in the right way, right?

Now, it doesn't matter what your marketing, doesn't matter what your core business is. You can be one of the three. Right? Now, here's what we do and here's like our strategy, right? What we do is we get together, number one, live together on a private hangout that's not broadcast where we're all interacting, okay?

Answering questions, studying, sharing feedback, applying strategies, right? And we've had some massive breakthroughs from people that have decided to buy the 15K formula. So here's what I actually want to do. If you've bought the 15K formula and you've gotten some kind of tangible result, I'd like you to come up and share your story. Just come up over here and just share your story and I want you to share with people the results that you've gotten by applying the 15K formula.

Now, we want to keep it quick because we don't have a lot of time. So name where you've been before and then actually just share the result that you got and what buying the product did for you personally and then just move it on to the next person. And as you're coming out, just take the microphone for 30 seconds and then we'll step off. Let the next person do it. Cool.

What's going on? I'm Abram Gonzales. My partner is Nikki Magdalena. And with the 15K formula, we learned a crap load about email marketing, copywriting, influence. And using that influence, we've been able to translate that to commissions with that actual product.

And before you got the product, you couldn't do that? No, not at all. Couldn't get people to click on our stuff, couldn't get people to show up to things. So all this Facebook stuff and everything you're doing, it was after you bought the 15K formula? Module eight and module nine with all the copywriting with Tony Rush and Aaron Raskin, that impacted our ability to do that.

Yeah, big time. Give him a hand, everybody. Hey, how's it going? Chad Oxtad, Detroit. Let's see.

So just the first video has just increased my clarity and being able to set attention. I tell everybody that buys the 15K and I've had several people on my team buy it. Between that video, the one with Aaron and the one with Tony, it's worth at least five times the product pricing. It's just those three right there. Those are just mandatory.

You get this product and you go through those three and those are mandatory. You have to go through those three when you buy this product because it's just essential information because you need to know how to write emails. You need to know how to set attention. You need to find a target market like Aaron. And what was your results that you got from applying that information?

You know, I had no idea how to write an email. I never wrote an email. Really? You've never written an email? I never wrote an email.

How much have you made here? $25,000. $25,000. Give him a hand. Unbelievable, guys.

By the way, there's four spots left. Hey, what's up? My name is Paolo. Cassandra Lee. And you know, the 15K, what it did for us was, we had the first module, video one, setting your intention and video four.

Video marketing. And one of the things that we learned on getting clear, not only did it give us directions, but it also allowed us to understand things that trigger our emotion so we can kind of anchor that so we can take action on that. So that's exactly what we did. And as far as video marketing, one of the things that we had a hard time with was structuring a video in a way where not only do they stay to the end of the video, but we also structure a good call to action, which increased people clicking on our link instead of just watching the video and moving on to something else.

And as a result of that, we started getting autopilot sales, our leads increased and, you know, 15K formula, man. So you started getting autopilot sales, leads increase all from the 15K formula, learn how to structure videos. Give him a hand. Give him a hand. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

We had our first thousand dollar day actually from the 15K formula too. And just so you know, we're only taking new people into this week's group for the next 12 and a half minutes. All right. Next people who come up. Hey, I'm Valerie Jampolsky.

And for me with the 15K formula, there's two parts of courses. There's the first one, which helped me to really set my clarity. And I've actually used it several times about every 90 days and make a point of doing it because it takes me to another level. And the very first time I ever applied the module, the one where you're talking about how to really speak to people after they get in, because I never did it before, I made a thousand dollars the very first time.

She made a thousand dollars the first time. Give her a hand. Give her a hand. Congratulations. 12 minutes left and only four spots, right?

See, this is what you do. I'm giving an example of this, right? Cause I'm not gonna slam you guys in the room here. You know, although if you don't have the 15K formula, get it right. No, but seriously, so this is what you're doing.

You're creating social proof. There's a reason to take action. There's a time limit on it. There's a number limit on it. And if they don't take action within that window, okay, they lose out on the chance, right?

That's how I get people to buy stuff. That makes sense. You guys getting value from this? I actually think we should probably go faster through this.

So just, let's just say the results and then we'll just go through cause we're just really giving an example. Go for it. All right. Sounds good. Jedi Drathos, results.

Module one, clarity. Nobody's clear. You can talk to anybody about being clear. And then the module four about being able to get traffic at will without having to go through SEO or having to use Google or wait. So pretty much that.

Cool. Cool. So it gave me my first thousand dollar day and then another thousand dollar day. So it was awesome. So he learned how to have his first thousand dollar day from what he learned in the 15K formula.

Give him a hand. Okay. So again, let me give you guys some coaching actually on testimonials while I'm doing this, because I think that's going to be more useful at this point. And then I'll show you examples of calls to action. So what we'd be doing is as we're doing this, right, we would be telling people to make decisions and buy the 15K formula.

And as they buy the 15K formula, tell us in the comments and also pulling them out. And then we're going to be telling people to make decisions. The reason we're reducing the number of available spots isn't because we're trying to be jerks, it's because if you take on like 50 people a week into a private group, it's a pain in the butt, right? So you actually, it's real scarcity. That makes sense.

So if you limit it and don't open it up available to everybody and you make it a certain number of people, you'll sell like twice as much as if you don't limit it. That makes sense. Or you could even open it up for only five minutes, for the next five minutes we're opening up spots in this group. Okay. Okay.

Got five minutes to make a decision. Does that make sense? The limit on it and the fact that it ends will create the result that you want, right? That make sense everybody in here? That's how you create scarcity to sell.

So, coaching on testimonials, if you're giving a testimonial, right, and this is something that's really common, is people will just kind of, some people will just tend to drone on and on, right? And we always get somebody, if you do a meeting, I'm not saying that these guys have droned on and on, but if you do a meeting or something, there's always the guy that comes to the meeting that just wants the microphone, you know? I mean, and it's just awful. He comes to the meeting and he wants the microphone and he gets up and he says, before this business, I was struggling and then I got in this business and I just love the people so much and I love the product so much and it's vitamins and the vitamins are so wonderful. And the first time I took one of the vitamins, I knew, I knew, I knew that this was my home.

You know, I came to the meeting and I'm so inspired every week. Every week I'm so inspired when I come to these meetings. I haven't made any money yet. It's been really frustrating, but I'm so, so excited, right? And people will just like, oh God, just get, and you feel bad taking the microphone away, you know what I mean?

But every time you ever do it, you got to take the microphone away from somebody, right? So don't be the lame testimonial, right? So if you're gonna make a testimonial, here's, let me explain how to do it, right? And this is how you have to do testimonials if you're asked to do testimonials. Or we will not allow them, right?

It is really simple. Paint before and why it made you take action. And when you took action, the result that you got, and throw your name in there. That's it, right? And let me give you an example.

Let's say I was a carpenter, a broke carpenter struggling to make it. And I'm just gonna make something up. You know, my name's Billy. Before I bought the 15K formula. Wasn't that the best one so far?

You guys think that's the best one? See, the other ones could come up, and people are like, yeah, okay, whatever. That one, right? Everybody goes like this. You're shitting me.

You know what I'm saying? Come on up. My name is Marvin Piquet, and I bought the 15K formula, and from being jumping from opportunity to opportunity to shiny object to shiny object, I became clear on what I wanted to do, and as a communicator, and as a complete newbie, I started to see what to do with my business. Okay, I want to help you here, because this is what I'm talking about. Okay, it's not a bad testimonial, all right?

But, and guys, listen, this is not critical, okay? This testimonial I would not use in a live event, okay, personally. And the reason why is because there's nothing specific in it whatsoever, right? And let me describe what I'm talking about, and then it's either a change to make or go get a result. What I mean is, I'm clear, and I'm going to succeed some time in the future because I bought this product.

See, it's not result-based. You guys notice that? There's nothing I've accomplished from it, okay? There's something I might accomplish from it, which is not motivating to anybody to make a purchasing decision. Does that make sense?

Okay, so there's two things that you could do. Number one, you could go get some sort of small result, like I got 100 leads by following this strategy. 100 leads is a result. That's actually a testimonial, right? I applied lesson, something in video six.

The second day after buying the product or the second week after buying the product, I went to the solo ads course. And then after going to the solo ads course, I placed my first solo ad, right? I got 100 leads in a day for the first time in my life, and I'm more excited than I've ever been. That's a results-based testimonial. If it's not results-based, it's not a testimonial.

That okay? Okay. Cool? Good feedback? Good.

Thank you for the feedback. Thank you for the feedback. Remember, there's no failure, only feedback. Come on up. Hey, everybody.

Greg Vegas from California. And before getting the 15K, I just could not figure out the upsell process. I bought the 15K, and then I discovered the secret to upselling. See you again. Give him a hand.

Give him a hand. Right? Results-based change. You know what I'm saying? Here, come on up.

Come on up. Hi. I'm from San Francisco. And I actually bought the 15K formula because my sponsor told me to. And I went through the solo ad course training, and I put my first ad up for the first time.

And in a matter of about a week, I got 300 leads, 12 sales, and four upsells to the Inner Circle. Give him a hand. Good job. Bring him on up. Good job.

I'm Jonathan Romaine from Montreal. And for the first month, I didn't have any results until I got into the 15K formula and paid marketing. And I had 14 sales in three weeks and my first $2,000 day while on a plane to Thailand. That's totally badass. Right?

Right? You want to do one, too? Okay. Last one. Nobody else come up here.

All right. Good job, though. My name is Melissa Krowchak. I'm a massage therapist and yoga teacher in Brandon, Manitoba. And I didn't really think I could take people from charging $75 a massage to saying, hey, this is like $9.97.

And I made my own product. But I had one $500 day with Empower. And then I used the 15K. And just Aaron, actually, Aaron Raskin, was it module nine?

Talked about people just want change. And I applied that in my massage business. And I had $4,000 days. So, four $1,000 sales, I guess. So, four separate $1,000 days.

In your massage business? From four people. That's awesome. I'm actually glad I let her come up. Thank you.

Thank you. All right. So, those are testimonials. You see? Concise before and after.

The problem and then the solution and what happened specifically as a result. Right? And you just go through the one after the other after the other after the other. You guys see how that creates social proof? Right?

You guys see that? That's how you overcome pretty much every objection. Social proof. Okay? If you have social proof, people don't ask the same questions they ask if you don't have it.

Right? The questions don't appear. The resistance isn't there. Not an issue. Make sense?

Everybody here get value from that? Yes. Give these guys a hand. All right. So, what do you do after that?

Right? The social proof. One after the other after the other after the other as fast as possible, one to the next. And then you just complete the rest of the steps in that chart. Right?

And I can't remember the order of them right now. There it is. It's like risk reversal. You got it. Right?

You got it. So, we'd finish the social proof. It doesn't have to be even in this particular order. You could have social proof earlier. But what do you do?

You then talk about the benefits of taking action. Right? Give them something that they can't resist. Right? And then give them a reason to take action.

That's where you got to be a little creative and deliver. Don't promise people things you're not going to give them. Please. Please. Right?

Even if it's not in power. That sucks. You know? By the way, if you join my team, I'm going to help you with everything. No, you won't.

Stop it. People don't want more training. They say they do. People always say they want more training. It's like, really.

If you're just working, you'd be making money. And now the training will help. But it's not going to help you if you're not working. If you're not working, no amount of training will ever automatically start making you money without you doing anything. Does that make sense?

Never. Okay? Don't worry about it. Now, clear call to action. That's where you got to tell them specifically what to do.

Look, guys. Stop being a wussy with your calls to action and tell people to join. No. Directly. Right?

Right then and give them time limits on things to take advantage of certain things. And it will blow you away. People respond to that like they respond to phone calls. Right? I've made you a commission by telling people to buy.

Right? Not everybody in the room, but tons of you. Right? Look, raise your hands again. Raise your hands again.

I've been telling people to buy through calls to action that you've earned commissions just getting people to the webinar. That's because when you tell people to buy directly and repetitively, they just do it if there's enough people on there. Right? If you don't tell them to buy, they don't do it for whatever reason. I actually learned this for the first time from Eric Worre.

Right? I learned about why I couldn't sponsor anybody in the Amway. And it's because they don't close anybody in that organization ever. Right? It's like you go to the meeting, then you give them an info pack and then you get together with them and give them another info pack.

Right? And then they just, if they want to get in, they just kind of like figure it out and sign a form and send it to the company or something. Right? Really bad training on closing. Right?

It's not the whole company. It's just the organization I was in. Curses. Anyways, so I went to this Eric Worre training and he was like, I'm going to teach you the magic closing. The magic closing formula.

Right? And he says, after the meeting, he says, this is unbelievable how well, this is a magic close. Right? Second time in my life I heard that. He says, it's unbelievable how well this works.

After the meeting, here's what you do. You all stand up, turn your chair to the person sitting next to you. Right? So you stand up, they stand up, and then you can't fill out an order form if you're standing up. It screws up.

Right? Right? So you stand up to the person and you say, so Paul, what'd you like best about it? He answers. I didn't answer.

What'd you like best about it? All of it. Some people say, I like everything too. You should agree with them. Except two.

Except three. It sounds like you're ready to get started. I am. Cool. Paul, how do you want your name spelled on your checks?

P-A-E. Right? And he says, and that's what you do. The magic close. And I say, you gotta be shitting me.

I have been taking people to these dumb meetings for a year. Right? That will not work like that ever. Whatever. But I gotta try it.

Right? I mean, come on. You gotta try. You know? Because I'm gutsy.

I'll do anything. Right? Ask Chris Rushlow. Right? So I go to my next meeting and bring this dude.

After the meeting, everybody stands up because, of course, the company gives you an info pack and you gotta go take it home and think about it for two days. Right? Which is the dumbest thing ever. And so I turn next to the guy and I look at him and I say, what did you like best about it? And he said what they'd all say in that meeting.

You know, it was really inspiring. You can't really figure out what they're talking about. It was really inspiring. Yeah, I thought so too. Sounds like you're ready to get started.

And he was like, sure. And I was like, you're right. And I was like, you're kidding me. Right? I was like, how do you want your name spelled on your checks?

And like, my hand is shaking. Right? Literally, if you tell people what to do, they'll do it. Okay? If you don't ask people to join, if you tell them to join, they'll join.

Right? If I get on the phone with somebody, I say, hey, if you want to, by the way, you can go and you can fill out the order form. They'll say, not with you. But if I say, hey, Paul, I just sent you a link. You got it?

I do. Click that. Tell me what's open. Click. All right.

See that place up in the front? I think his first name is the first field. Yeah, I see that. Go ahead and fill that out. When you're done, hit the submit button.

And after you're finished, I actually want you to watch the next video that pops up too. Is that okay? Yeah. That's cool to me. Welcome aboard.

We're having a team call tomorrow night. It's private. I'm going to send you an exclusive invite to our Facebook group. I didn't ask him to do nothing. I told him what he's going to do.

Right? Now that works on Facebook. That works in email conversations. That works on Skype conversations. That works in emails.

That works on livecasts where you're telling people to click and join. That works everywhere. If you tell people what to do, they will do it. If you don't tell people what to do, they're going to be confused as to what to do and they're never going to do anything. Tell people what they need to do.

Look, you've been watching this. Obviously you want to buy the 15K formula. And here's the deal. You've seen the results of our private group and what they've been able to achieve. So for the next five minutes.

I will allow you to join in the group and do a private coaching with you to help you get started. Only until 640. Because we're going to start at 645. Who's ready to buy?

Mary, congratulations on buying the 15K formula. When you've completed your purchase in your back office, go ahead and shoot me the welcome email and then I'm going to pull you out on here. Four minutes left. You guys see that? Scarcity.

Right? Limitations. Okay? And please don't over promise because if I say in 15 minutes I'm going to do a thing with you, well, I can do that. But if I say I'm going to personally coach you for the next five weeks, it's like, oh, God.

Look, I'm honest about that. Who in here has ever been sold coaching with a coach that didn't show up? Right? Maybe more who don't want to admit it because usually, here's the thing, coaching is really easy to sell and a pain in the ass to deliver. Okay?

Because everybody thinks they want it, but what they really want is results. And here's what I learned is coaching doesn't help people get results anyways unless they're already moving. Never. The only people coaching helps is people who already have businesses and are already making sales. If you coach people that aren't making sales, right, they think that they're going to make money by coaching people who aren't making sales.

That's how they think they make money. People need to sell to make money. Right? If you're going to coach people, here's who you coach. You identify people who are moving and you coach them.

Right? I do that in my organization for free. If somebody's moving, do I ever call you and say, hey, I'll send you a bill for our conversations, you know, $25,000 an hour? No. Never.

Right? Right? Yeah. Yeah. For free.

Which I'm grateful, by the way. Huh? I'm grateful. Yeah. I'm grateful for you.

Right? So we need people who are moving on in the organization. Right? That's what a leader does. They help people that are moving and then they work in groups with large numbers.

Does that make sense for everybody? I'm going to talk more about that at the next event, the team building formula. Who here thought this was like one of the most detailed, intense things ever but got you out of it? Okay. Who here is now way more clear than you've ever been on how to get two people a day into your business?

Right? Yeah. You think you can do that? Yes. Right.

Give Paul Gardner a hand for coming up here. Okay. Oh, and by the way, I had a breakthrough being on here, man. Give him a hand. Go.

Give him a hand. I know you will too. Thank you. I'm proud of you. Thank you.
