Video Marketing Lead Generation Without Getting Your Account Banned (Part 10)

Audio only · watch on YouTube

Justin Verrengia lost three YouTube accounts in one morning to a group of five people he calls a “hatred group,” anonymous marketers who flagged make-money-from-home videos for fun or for pay. His response was to build over a hundred replacement accounts, outsource the work to freelancers in the Philippines for two or three dollars an hour, and mask his IP address to keep the machine running. That story, and what he learned from it, formed the spine of his talk on the Empower Network Tactical Tuesday webcast, hosted by David Wood and Michelle Schaeffer, on how to use video to generate leads.

A YouTube war he didn’t need to fight

Verrengia, known in the company as the Hippie Jedi and recognized as the seventh million-dollar earner in Empower Network alongside his wife Dee, started shooting video about seven years earlier with a Flip camera his mother bought him at Blockbuster. He later learned a keyword-ranking technique from a program called the Dream Team and began uploading videos daily, eventually pulling in around 30 leads a day, enough to make him feel, in his words, “like a god.” Then three videos got flagged and his account was shut down without explanation. He contacted YouTube’s VP, threatened to go to the media, and got nowhere. His fix was to scale outsourced channel creation using VPNs and freelancer marketplaces such as Elance, treating it as a numbers game. He does not recommend this approach today. The real lesson, he said, was in what triggered the flags in the first place.

Don’t talk about making a lot of money and how rich you’re gonna get from joining your opportunity. Videos like that are targets for haters and they’re probably also against terms and conditions on YouTube.

His fix going forward was to lead with passion, value, or a problem and solution, the snoring-remedy example he gave, rather than an income pitch. He also stopped putting affiliate links directly in videos, sending traffic instead to a custom lead capture page, since raw affiliate links get channels red-flagged on both YouTube and Facebook.

Treat every video as a campaign, not a clip

Verrengia walked through several of his own videos to show the pattern. A video called “Pineal Gland Activation Secrets: The Third Eye Conspiracy,” built around his belief in a conspiracy against the pineal gland and third eye, picked up hundreds of thousands of views and heavy organic sharing because, as he put it, it was “an ad disguised as pure content.” A paid ad on a different fan page using footage shot from a rented balcony in Phuket, Thailand, generated 54,000 views and over a thousand shares. Another version of the same ad on a different page got 100,000 views but a smaller share percentage, which he noted as an example of how identical content performs differently depending on the audience and page.

He described identifying a “perfect avatar” before shooting: knowing exactly who the video is speaking to, then reflecting that in the title, description, and opening seconds. For the pineal gland video that meant people interested in the law of attraction and meditation. For his own brand it meant openly supporting cannabis legalization to attract people who share that outlook, without stating outright that he uses it himself.

He also urged shooting the way a director would, gathering short five and two second B-roll clips on an iPhone or a low-cost camera, the same approach he used at Empower Network events. He started with a Sony Bloggie bought for around after his Flip camera broke, and still edits mostly in iMovie, having never gotten around to learning Adobe’s paid software.

The numbers behind the approach

Verrengia said video has been the single biggest catalyst in his business, pointing to list numbers as evidence. His older autoresponder, GVO, held roughly 93,000 leads, a mix he estimated at 30,000 to 50,000 inactive. Two years earlier he moved to Infusionsoft and built a fresh, segmented list of about 40,000, with roughly 5,000 of those inactive. Combined, he estimated somewhere close to 130,000 leads generated through video over time. He segments every campaign separately in Infusionsoft rather than treating video as a single undifferentiated funnel.

For tracking, he uses Wistia for self-hosted video, avoiding Vimeo after the platform shut down his paid account for what he was told was promotional content, despite his last thirty uploads being family lifestyle footage. He looks at engagement percentage on Wistia, generally treating 40 percent watch-through as decent, and used one funnel video as an example: a 21-minute piece shot by videographer Steele Rutherford at an exclusive resort, which held 40 percent engagement despite its length, because the content built value over what he described as a three-day sales process before ever mentioning Empower Network.

Across all of it, his description of the funnel was consistent: the video captures an email address, the autoresponder builds a relationship through invitations to Tactical Tuesday, team hangouts, and his podcast, and only after delivering what he estimated at a thousand dollars worth of free value does he introduce the business opportunity itself.

For those of you who are new to Empower Network and the community, what you're going to see tonight is a glimpse into the type of training that we do to help our members and help our community build successful businesses from home. But bigger than that, what you'll see is the way that our community works and what we really value. Because the guest we have on tonight is a fantastic example of someone who not only has built amazing success in his home-based business, but done it in a way that allows him to really live the lifestyle he wants and have the freedom that he wants in his business.

So I want to introduce you to our guest this evening. We've got Justin Varengio with us. And I want to just do a quick intro for those of you who maybe haven't heard his name before. I think most of you probably have. But just in case, what I'm going to share with you is his event page intro, because Justin is going to be joining us to speak at the next Empower Network event, which is taking place April 24th through 26th. If you haven't got your tickets yet, grab them now because we're close to selling out.

But here's what you need to know about Justin. Justin is better known as the Hippie Jedi, and he is the seventh million-dollar earner in Empower Network, along with his wife Dee. They continue to innovate not only the way things are done, but how society lives. Justin and Dee have a vision of creating freedom for humanity, along with a higher purpose, which is to help people unplug from the matrix. And together, they're inspiring freedompreneurs from all over the world to tap into their higher selves and to live their dreams. For those of you in chat, I would love to hear, what is your dream?

What is it that motivates you to work to create a business from home? What is that goal for you or that dream for you? When you think about what it is that you really want in life and how creating your own business allows you to achieve that, you can see why we get so excited about these trainings and about the businesses that we're building. Tonight's focus is going to be on how to use video to get leads. So you wanna make sure that you've got your pen, your paper, you're ready to take notes. Now is a great time to go ahead and grab that if you haven't yet.

I'll give you like 30 seconds. Go grab your pen, go grab your paper. You are not going to wanna miss the tactics and the strategies that Justin's going to share. He's shared with us a little bit about what he's got in store for you tonight, and it's going to be fantastic training that's gonna really help you figure out just how do you use video in your business to connect with the right people and to get them onto your list, to get them to visit your blog, to leave you comments, and to join you in building a business of their own. So again, pencil, paper, now is the time to grab that. And we're going to go ahead and get Justin on here to do some teaching for us tonight.

I'm going to put the Q&A box up on the page so that as he's teaching, you can put your questions on the box and we'll do some Q&A after he's gone through his presentation this evening. Without further ado here, let me introduce Justin. Thank you for the very kind introduction, Michelle. Appreciate you very much. And I just checked on the page to see how many people were in the chat, and there was 1111, so I take that as a good omen from the universe. I'm like, nice, this is gonna be very fun tonight.

A lot of people don't know my background with video and how I started with it, and so what I really wanna do is really dig deep and share my story of how I got started with video and then actually show you some examples, some very successful campaigns, what it has done for my business and leave you with a lot of tips of what to do, what not to do to maximize your traffic and optimize your leads and ultimately get what your objective is from the video because each and every video may have a different intention for a different purpose, which we're gonna cover that as well. And I'm sharing my story with you, not to say that you have to do things the way that I did it or the way that I do it because the truth is, if you copy someone, you probably won't be successful because you have different passions and we all have our own unique abilities to innovate, at least at an acute level. You know what I mean? Spin it in your own way so that it adapts to who you truly are so it doesn't come off as BS or something like that. So I'm just gonna share my stories to spark ideas because I understand it's one idea holding you back from a million dollar earner ring and I truly believe that. So I hope you get a lot of ideas from me sharing my triumphs and victories and also my temporary defeats when it comes to video marketing.

So probably video marketing, I would say, is the number one catalyst to our success, ultimately. I started probably, I would say, about seven years ago. I shot my first YouTube video. I was living in a house with Dee. Dee and I have, even though we only been married about four years, or three years, I'm sorry, we've been together, I don't know, 12 or 11 years. We've been together a very long time and I remember shooting videos with my flip video camera.

I remember begging my mom at Blockbuster videos back when they used to have Blockbusters and they had these cool looking little video recorders and I'm just like, how cool would it be to have a video? Way before I was an online marketer, back then I probably, I don't even know if I had my first job yet or I may have and if it was, it was flipping burgers at McDonald's as a vegetarian, which is probably the worst job one can have. I remember emptying those disgusting grease traps. They're like this big and you gotta pull them up, filled with nasty grease that kinda just turns me the other way and I had to go to the dumpsters and actually dump out this grease and at the time, it was the only time in my life where I had all this acne all over my face and it was because of the damn grease traps. So I have, I kinda despise McDonald's in a lot of different ways but anyways, that was my first job and so I was very excited to start shooting video and that story of, that was actually before I met Dee. I met Dee I think two years later but fast forward a little time.

I got that video camera from my mom. I started to shoot some videos and upload them online when I got into internet marketing and I decided I wanted to build a network marketing business using the internet. So the very first marketing technique that I ever used was uploading a video because I learned a strategy from somebody. I was involved in this, it was a two or $3,000 education at the time, this is way back, called the Dream Team. I don't even know if it still exists. Yes, Tracy Walker has a team called the Dream Team which is in no relation to this but I got this education and there was this guy from the UK and he would just like upload videos and rank them for a specific keyword, like do keyword research and rank it and so I started doing that and like after a few videos, I started to be able to like rank my video and started to have a little bit of success and here's what happened.

I put all my videos on one channel and again, nothing is right or wrong. This is just what happened to me in my experience. I had like three or 400 videos on one channel because they accumulated and I started shooting videos every day and so I was getting a lot of traffic, like for me it was a lot. I was getting like 30 leads a day which was like, you know, I was like a top producer in my network marketing company sponsoring like 10 people a month which is not hard to do at all. We have people that can sponsor 10 people in a day here with Empower but nonetheless, I felt like I was a god. It was like amazing, everything was going well.

Life was beautiful and then I woke up one day and like three different videos got flagged and they just shut down my account without any explanation and I want to know because this is an interactive training, if your account has ever been jeopardized with YouTube, let me know in the chat. I just want to see if I'm the only one or if you can relate to that but it happens to a lot of marketers. Make Money From Home, MLM, Get Rich Quick, we're targets and it's just the dead-end truth and back then I didn't know, just follow their terms and conditions and do things in a more of a value-driven aspect versus just talking about money, maybe talk about freedom or talk about passions or share some lifestyle. I didn't know that back then. This is like free Empower network. So I, you know, to fight it because there was actually this hatred group of about five people and it was like, they were like the police of YouTube opportunities and they would just target different people and try to make your life miserable and it's almost as if someone was paying them to do it.

I don't know if competition would stoop so low but it happened. I don't really have the explanation on why it happened so I said, they're not gonna shut me down. I contacted the VP of YouTube. I seeked out all their names, did some research. They didn't get back with me and I threatened them. Wasn't smart because I'm like, if you don't give me my account back, I'm going to go see the media and I'm gonna tell them how horrible YouTube is and how there's no protection and that there's this hating group that continues to hate and their accounts don't get shut down but they just go around flagging everybody and making hatred videos with bags over their head, not revealing the identity but just being like, I'm gonna take you down, Justin Varengia and you're just like, this serious?

You know what I mean? But I also realized the bigger you get, the more haters you're gonna come across but nowadays I learn how to prevent all that stuff and I'll get into that later. So just tidbit number one, don't talk about making a lot of money and how rich you're gonna get from joining your opportunity. Videos like that are targets for haters and they're probably also against terms and conditions on YouTube so it's just gonna offend YouTube and it's gonna offend the haters who are gonna be attracted to you so it's best to lead with passions or lead with value or find a problem and you could take a note with this, find the problem and then present yourself as knowing the answer or having the solution to their problem and then you're gonna be looked at like for example, if you're snoring and then you have some tips on how to avoid snoring or maybe you have a certain beverage one can drink or something, you could maybe share three tips on how to prevent snoring so you can get more rest and then those people who have those snoring problems are gonna look at you like a god and they're gonna love what you have to offer and YouTube is gonna love that too because you're giving the user exactly what they want and you're not making yourself a target so here's what I ended up doing. I got so pissed and I didn't know what to do. I went on and created over 100 accounts.

I was outsourcing like a mofo. This is before Fiverr. I went to like Elance or freelancer.com. I don't remember exactly which one it was and I started hiring people because I read the book The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss at the time and I said I just want to outsource the people who feel really good earning two or three dollars an hour because that's a good opportunity for them. They're like very actually happy. I would give them bonuses like for Christmas of $50 and they'd be like ecstatic and we had this long-term relationship with this one guy from the Philippines.

I worked with him for like two years and I also worked with about 80 other people because most people you work with suck and it's just the dead honest truth. That's the caveat of outsourcing. Before you find someone really good, especially if you're paying $3 an hour and you're doing it overseas, it's not always easy to find good service. However, there are services today that make it a lot easier. Places like Fiverr, which is a great marketplace, it's like $5.50 for pretty much any job you can think of. So I said I'm gonna outsmart YouTube and my haters and because I did it from different IPs, I was very strategic.

I learned how to like mask my ID and I didn't use the same email. I did it in a clever way where it was black hat. I don't recommend this. I don't recommend having a billion accounts nowadays. I do recommend having more than one, maybe having a few different ones because I would never put all my eggs in one basket. But I did that for a while and I was living in China teaching English for about $1,000 a month, earning $12,000 a year, which is an interesting story in itself because this watch that I won from David Wood from an affiliate contest that I placed second place, first place won like a cool car, a Tesla.

I think it was Vic and then we won this gold Rolex. This signifies triple my income that I was earning. This is three year salary from where I was at in life back in 2011 when I was teaching English overseas in China while I was outsourcing, creating a video dynasty on YouTube. So I was using software, all these black hat strategies I wouldn't necessarily always recommend today. But I just shared this to like broaden your horizon, because here's what happened. For like every account I was generating like five leads a day and having X amount of videos on each account.

So I said, if I just scale up and create like, you know, I started with 10 more channels and then I had outsourcers creating the channels and using the VPN to change your IP address. I had it in a systematized process. It was working really well, but it got really crazy. There was a battle going on between the haters and myself. And I attracted a lot of attention to it because I said there's no way you can find all my videos. There's no way you'll be able to shut them all down.

But in the long haul, I was spamming YouTube and it wasn't good practices. And I learned from being around communities that teach you how to provide true value in the marketplace like in Power Network. So I've gotten a lot smarter and I know what not to do. But that was like my experience. And nowadays I still have channels. My biggest channels have gotten shut down.

I've had millions of views, but I still have some big channels that I'm gonna share with you and share with you why the video is so powerful. And if you don't mind sharing my screen, Tara, whoever's in charge of that, I'll walk you through some of that. I think it's really vital I share that. And then I'll get to some more tidbits. And you just let me know when the video is sharing and I'll just go into it. All right, there should be a button on the top left of your screen there.

You can click to share it. Cool, sorry about that. Screen share. Entire screen share. There you go. And the audience, you've got your screen share on.

The audience is loving what you're sharing so far. A lot of them have had that same experience with YouTube of fighting to get their channels back or getting shut down. And I think it's always helpful when people hear they're not alone dealing with issues like that and that other people, how they got started. So again, guys, if you've got questions for Justin while he's teaching, put him in the Q&A box over there and we will get those to him after he's done here. And so another major tip, don't use an affiliate link in your marketing. Use a custom lead capture page URL.

So for example, if you're using a link from a major system directly in your videos, the community is gonna red flag your channel immediately and that goes for Facebook as well as YouTube. Because there's always, when you have a large number of people using anything, there's gonna be people who are uneducated like I used to that are gonna be using the community for spam and it's against their terms and policies. So I just wanted to point that out as well to keep your accounts clean. Typically, I'm gonna send my traffic to a lead capture page. If I did send them to a blog, it would be a hybrid between a blog and a lead capture page, which I don't know if we'll have time to cover because I do have a lot to cover. But I wanna share with you some of the results that I've gotten organically and some of the results that I have gotten through paid advertising using video before I break down the foundation and how to construct your video in a way that really basically achieves the purpose of the video.

And again, there's so many purposes from lead generation to generating sales for goodwill, demonstrating value, building influence, just plain up follow-up, providing strategies with a call to action at the end. Very, very versatile art form. And I also gotta mention this video is so powerful that Facebook is going for the necks, literally, of basically the TV commercial advertiser spots, like the major ones from like Nike and all the major corporations like Wal-Mart and Exxon's out there because having video on the internet is even more effective nowadays than watching TV and Facebook knows that. So everything is gearing towards video and Facebook is literally investing billions of dollars into the video aspect of the community. So it's gonna become more and more like YouTube where people can go and actually find videos. Right now, Facebook is great for video.

They get a lot of love, but it's hard to find them. But it's changing right now. They're competing directly with YouTube in a lot of ways where they're just going for it and they're so strong and so powerful right now. So video is the future of the internet and I truly feel if you're not using video right now, you're gonna get left behind because it's the most powerful form of everything we do when it comes to lead generation, building rapport, gaining trust, getting people to like you and just nurturing an influence all around. So this is a video I did like just over a year ago. It's called Pineal gland activation secrets, the third eye conspiracy.

And I just wanted to share this to show you how many people are sharing it because at the end of the video is a call to action and it links to a lead capture page. Why did so many people share it? Because it's an ad disguised as pure content because the truth is the content is so good, people look past the fact that it's an ad. And when you can create content, true value driven content from your ads, that's how your shit goes and excuse my French, but that's how your content goes viral. And I see it time and time again and there's a formula that you can follow I'm gonna reveal for you as we go on throughout the series. But I just wanna show you all the people who are sharing it.

Now this is not from the fan page, this is from the profile. I actually have several different Facebook accounts, I have several fan pages and a lot of times if it has gotten hundreds of thousands or millions of views in one place, it has probably done that in another place. But this is just like my free profile. So this is organic. I posted this video, I think this is recently, I just shared it. It's not even the original post, probably about a month or two ago.

29 comments, whatever this means here, likes. Just random people sharing it and tagging it because they wanna be a part of the information I'm sharing because they believe it's that good that it's gonna help humanity because that's the intention I had when I created it. So here's another tidbit. What's the intention and purpose of the video in the first place? When I created this video, I came across a way to help people understand that they have a third eye that connects them to their higher selves. That there's a conspiracy going on, that most human beings aren't aware of against your pineal gland and your third eye.

And I'm so passionate about it. I said, if I can do a video on this subject, people are going to share it because it's gonna transform the way people believe because it's hitting them with what I believe to be true about the conspiracy of the third eye and that we have this third eye and that we can eat certain foods that are super foods to help detox it. We can avoid certain things like fluoride in our toothpaste and in our drinking water and we can become enlightened. And I felt so passionate about the subject. I said, I'm gonna create a video and I don't care how long it is because for as long as I'm passionate in the video, I know it'll work. And that was like one of my longest public videos.

It was like between 15 or 20 minutes, but it went viral. And so these are just some of the people sharing it. It just got so much love, but here's, and actually I wanna type that in. What if I typed it in here? Let's see. Because again, Facebook is becoming more and more like YouTube so you can search things and find it.

So it's just bringing that up. So let me go to the next page. I just wanna share different things. This is a video I recently did. I just pulled up some recent campaigns. This is from a paid ad to show you something a little different.

So that this got 54,000 views. And this is an ad, but it's disguised as content because it's giving away a lot of free value. So I wanna, does it show you how many people shared this thing? No, it got a lot of shares. Let me see here. And I may have took it a screen to, oh, here we go.

Over a thousand shares. So when people are sharing your ads, you know you're onto something great. And so that's why it's really important to understand the biggest problems that your audience is having. And here's another tidbit, identifying your perfect avatar. Who are you speaking to? In this video, I'm speaking to people who are into the law of attraction and people who are into meditation.

And that's why I put it in the title. That's why I put it in the description. And that's why I put it at the very beginning of the video. I show actual lifestyle footage of me in Thailand. We rented the sick pad, probably like a ridiculous over the top like $5,000 a week pad in Phuket, Thailand. And that was like the balcony and that was the view.

And I took some B-roll or had someone take some B-roll, which we're gonna get into. B-roll means short little clips. Like I want you to start shooting videos and think more like a director versus just like everyone else. I want you to think as if you're Steven Spielberg or George Lucas and start making your three minute, one minute videos into short films. Because it's actually so easy to do when you start shooting B-roll. So here's a strategy.

When I go to the events, because everyone watching this should be going to Nashville and I'm excited to be there. When I go to events on my video camera, I take hundreds of clips. Why do I do that? I have a passion for video, as you can see. I take five second clips, two second clips. And it don't matter if you're using your iPhone because most of my clips nowadays come from my iPhone.

It don't matter what kind of smartphone you're using. You just need some sort of video device, right? I don't care if you're using $100 Sony video cam, like the one in this drawer. Do I have that in here? Which drawer is that in here? I know it was, oh here it is.

This is my second video camera I owned. After my flip broke that my mom bought me, I bought this for like $89 online. I was shooting videos on it. I think I even brought it to the first event in June of 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia for Empower Network. So it doesn't matter to have a Hollywood production. So, yes.

Hey Justin, you're still screen sharing? What kind of camera was it? That is a Sony Bloggie. Yes, I bought it a long time ago because it was the only one I could afford and the flip camera phone prices went up. It was like $150 or $130 for a flip and I said, damn it, this one's $89 or like $79 on Amazon. So I bought that and that's the camera I got started with when I was in Empower Network, I was using that.

Awesome, we got that question a lot. People were asking what kind of camera you use. Thank you for sharing that. Cool, and nowadays I make a lot of money so I feel silly not buying good equipment because I'm just gonna have to pay a shitload of taxes at the end of the year. If I don't buy like studio mics and things that I can at least write off, have in my possession. So I have like a DSLR, I have a T3i and a T4i and I think they're less than $600 or in that price point and that's like my good camera that I take with me but nowadays most of my video that I personally shoot is on an iPhone just because of convenience.

I can't put the DSLR in my pocket and I have a baby so it's just very convenient for me having like something very small personally. But anyways, when I say be like your own director, I don't mean you need a Hollywood budget. I just mean be creative and be innovative and shoot short clips and when you edit your videos, here's some more tidbits to note. I use iMovie still. I also have like Adobe, whatever the Adobe one is, it's like $20 or $30 a month but I never used it yet because I never like learned how to use it and I've been using iMovie and I've just been lazy to transition over. If you're a Mac user, iMovie is a standard on your computer.

If you're a PC user, I used to use two different programs. I used Camtasia which was a paid program that also records your screen and I would also use Windows Movie Maker. So that's how I started editing videos. I think it was on Windows Movie Maker and Camtasia and eventually I started using iMovie and you can create actually because like it's really standard, like it's just very easy to do. You can create good quality, pretty simple. Granted you have like an HD smartphone or like a camera or something like that.

So it's actually quite easy and I'm just gonna give one more tidbit and then I'm gonna get back into my story and sharing different concepts to why my video ads work so well organically and through paid. Actually, let me just go through this actually. I don't wanna jump too many places because I tend to continue to jump. But let me go to a different type of ad. This is the same ad on a different fan page because like I said, I have different fan pages but the same video. Here it got 100,000 views and so it got double the amount of views but like 75% of the amount of shares which is interesting.

And so this one is promoting my podcast. How do I have a top rated podcast that started dominating the second day at launch that was featured number one on iTunes and new and noteworthy for business education and spirituality and it dominated for like eight weeks straight. How'd I do that? Through video. I created something of value targeting a specific demographic which you can do. You can get laser targeted and you can tap into your ideal avatar and if you don't know who that ideal avatar is, you'll probably never get tremendous results with video.

But if you can get crystal clear on who it is you're talking to. I'm tapping into these keywords right here and basically give them what they want. What did I do in this video? I gave away something for free. My wife created a product. She put an audio, right?

It's called Transformation Begins With In. She put a price on it and I said, I'll give it away pretty much for free if you opt in or something like that. Like I'm giving something away for free. The same concept works with a free report. The same concept works with a video training series which is another thing I give away to offer free value. But if you separate yourself from everyone else instead of just telling people to do, give them a reason on why they should do it and really think about that and get crystal clear on your message and people will love those videos and they'll share your videos and when people are sharing your videos, you can generate leads because tonight's training is about lead generation through video.

You can generate a lot of leads when you got people sharing your video and it doesn't have to all come from advertising dollars because it's very beautiful when you get organic traffic. It's a beautiful thing. It creates viral sustainability and it's also beautiful when you have some extra money when you reinvest your revenue from your business. We recommend at least 20% of whatever your revenue is. Basically, put that into your advertising budget and throw some ads at it and do some creative stuff. Now there's guidelines and I think it's really important I touch upon it.

You can't do anything. It's not the wild, wild west on Facebook. There are terms and conditions and you could read them and I would suggest everybody read them before placing your first paid ad. But the good news is you can at least start by placing your video there for free and then you're not basically gonna be, there's not gonna be all these crazy rules that can jeopardize your account that I really don't have too much time to cover because it would probably take me an hour just to go over terms and conditions in a short way. So I recommend if you're gonna invest into paid ads, do your homework, treat your business like a real business and actually take the time to review what it is. And you can just see a lot of the love here.

I don't wanna spend too much time on this but it just got so much love. And so here's another video. Recently did a webinar. We promoted it because we use video for building pretty much everything that we do, all different sorts of promotions. It don't matter if we're building our primary business which is Empower Network. It don't matter if we're building our podcast which is Weird Entrepreneurs.

It don't matter if we're building our consulting. It don't matter if we're building masterminds. It don't matter if we're building our products. We use the same formulas in our ads. And you can see here this was actually more recent, 54,000 views, 107 people shared it and I just share this one more time to say when people are sharing your ads it's because you're providing a lot of value and something in the formula is working. Now I wanna go to a GVO and just show you some of the leads because people probably don't realize how many leads I truly generated using video marketing because every form of marketing I do is correlated through video.

Do you realize that? We've generated 93,000 leads in GVO which is our secondary autoresponder. I don't actually recommend this because deliverability is not the best and I think there's better ones out there. But at one point I was promoting this back in the day and I still make an affiliate commission but I don't recommend it to anyone. I stopped promoting it long ago. I just share this to show you some of the numbers.

So I generated a huge list and I stopped building this list two years ago when I got Infusionsoft. I wanted to build something brand new and I segmented my list and what that means is all my contacts here are not in my GVO list. I did not import them over because I don't believe this is like, even though it's really good quality targeted traffic, the process or like I just didn't get the best results using this autoresponder. So I said let me just build something brand new about two years ago and in Infusionsoft we now have 40,000 different leads. So if you do the math like 90,000 and 40,000, it's a lot of leads, something like 130,000 leads and these are the active leads who haven't opted out yet, which is actually, let me reiterate, this includes the inactive because I think in GVO, truthfully, I probably have 30 to 40,000 inactive leads, probably like 50,000. So I'll restate that.

I have about, and I think I have 5,000 inactive leads in Infusionsoft, so 35,000 plus about 50 or 60,000, still a lot of active leads and it all comes from video. So I just wanted to show you what I'm talking about can help you generate a tremendous amount of leads and if you generate that and let me just show you something I started doing, segmenting my list just to show you how many different lists I have and I'll just scroll down. I started segmenting everything, right? Which is crazy and every video typically is a different campaign. I don't look at a video as a video. I mean there's goodwill videos where I just pull out my camera and shoot it but when I'm really marketing, I look at a video as a campaign.

You know what I mean? That's why I get crystal clear in my intention what's the purpose of this video? What's the problem it's here to solve and how can I help solve their problems? What kind of call to action can I give them providing them so much value? It would be stupid if they didn't opt in. It would be stupid if they didn't share it with their friends and family and followers on Facebook because they'd be doing them a disservice because the value is that good and you start thinking of your videos as an actual campaign, your business will flourish.

That's why I say take the time to shoot a good video, have a clear message because it's all about communication. If people don't take action at the end of your video, you didn't express yourself clearly giving them a good enough reason to do that. So I just wanted to share that how many lists that we started segmenting through videos and treating videos like campaigns because videos can net you a lot of traffic and I wanted to go to YouTube real quick because this is all organic. This is one of my first channels. I didn't brand myself back then. Thank God because it's still up.

I didn't get attacked. I provided a lot of value in what my truest passion is which is spirituality and it's called Esoteric Cosmos. I created this channel five years ago. I've had videos with millions of views that have gotten taken down but the channel is still here. I still have videos with UFOs that I've caught on camera that Dave Wood makes fun of me because he thinks it's hilarious and it's fake but I can swear I didn't create or put any effect in that shit that flies out of the volcano. In my opinion, it's a UFO because I can't identify what the hell it was and it's going at a speed that nothing could move that fast.

You know what I mean? So I shared that and that got 550,000 views. The pineal gland video I created a year ago on my channel, it got almost 400,000 views and that's in about a year and it's on other channels and has gotten hundreds of thousands of views and this video on Facebook has gotten over a million views. So organically, I have generated millions of views through video because video works, it's effective and it's probably the best way to expand your influence and how do you become successful within Power Network? How do you earn 1.3 million dollars? You know what I mean?

How do you earn $117,000 in your best month? You freaking do video, you do it the right way, you start treating it like a real campaign, you start taking it serious because it's an art form. Video is not just a hobby, it's an art form and the better you become at creating videos and the more crystallized you are on targeting the right audience and knowing your perfect avatar and I'm gonna give you another thing to what makes my videos so good. I share with them something about me that identifies who I am, the hippie Jedi. Why do I call myself the hippie Jedi? Because I support the legalization of cannabis and I want to be publicly known about that and I want to attract people who smoke cannabis and who love cannabis to join my team and I prefer working with people that are not offended by cannabis and I get laser targeted people that share in my belief system because I make it apparent.

I may not say I smoke weed in my videos and I'll never say that but I will have silly jokes where I indulge in hippie activities to attract people who are just like me to join my business because that's who I want to work with so I'm just keeping it real. I tell people what my purpose is, yes. Hey Justin, you've got a bunch of questions coming in in chat. People are asking how do you connect the people who are looking at your videos because and this is one of the things that's so cool about the strategy you're sharing but I think they need some help to connect dots. You're attracting a certain audience with your videos and that's the audience that you intend to attract. It's people who are into the same thing you are and they're passionate about those things.

How do you connect that to your Empower Network business? So what's the call to action that you give them? What do you put in your video description? What's the link you give them to get them from a video about legalization of marijuana or a video about the third eye or meditation to here's how to build a business? Exactly. My intention is not to teach them how to build a business or that I have a magical opportunity at the end of the video.

My only intention is to capture your information. Then I build a relationship with you via my autoresponder and I start inviting people to Tactical Tuesday. I start inviting them to team hangouts. I start inviting them. I start giving them podcasts that I do every week. I start giving them invitations to private trainings.

I start building a connection with my audience before trying to sell them and I think that's why my videos are successful and I believe that's the key. If there was a secret behind my success, I believe that's why it is and because I'm doing it this way, I am not a target, my videos are still up and I'm providing a lot of value and I'm not being cheesy or scheming or looked down upon and basically just not making myself a target which I refuse to do that. If I'm gonna put videos out there, it's gonna be for the long haul because I have already lost millions of views because videos have gotten taken down. So I prefer to do everything by the book. I prefer to follow their terms and conditions and so at the end of this video and I'll share with you what I put here. I know it goes to a lead capture page.

I put my title here, of course, so that it ranks and I believe if you type in pineal gland third eye, it ranks at the very, very top and it also ranks for various different variations of this keyword like third eye conspiracy, pineal gland activation and I just wanna still make sure it's still ranking because I haven't checked it in a while. Let's see. And it may not be at the top but it may be like down here so it gets a lot of views. So this is what I put and I haven't updated this or edited this in a long time but typically it's going to be your title which is gonna have your keyword in it. My keywords, I have two in here. It's third eye conspiracy and it's pineal gland activation.

Those are my two keywords that I targeted when I did this campaign. I said let me feed two birds with one seed because I don't wanna kill two birds with one stone. You know what I mean? So what you would typically do and this is all organic. I didn't do any paid ads here. This is just free traffic but I typically would put my link right under this.

For some reason I didn't and the reason I do that, so it's like the first thing they see here without having to click see more info and they just click on it but for some reason and to be honest, when I created this video, my main intention wasn't leads even though I got probably 20,000 leads from this campaign. My main intention was just to create a viral video that helps enlighten the human race and I believe I achieved the attention and when you help people get what they want, you automatically will get what you want. So this probably goes to a lead capture page. Yeah and it goes to a lead capture page which goes to a funnel which eventually leads to Empower Network but before I introduce Empower Network, they go through a three video training series for free where I give them about 45 to an hour's worth of free training. Then after I have a relationship with them and I've given them probably $1,000 worth of value, I say now I invite you to check out my opportunity but the call to action in the video itself, so I do things a little different and there's no right or wrong because there's marketers that just send traffic directly from ad to like EN but if you're doing paid ads on Facebook or YouTube, you can't do that. You have to have yourself in the equation and there's several reasons why.

You need to have your site hosted on your own hosting if you're gonna be advertising and spending dollars and so when you follow that process, it's just very hard to fail with your different sorts of videos. So I love video marketing. I still do a lot of it but truthful, I don't focus on YouTube as much anymore just because there's a lot of like, just because there's a lot of, I don't know, for some reason videos on Facebook, I've never had a video removed on Facebook but I have gotten a lot of videos removed on YouTube and sometimes they follow the terms and policies. It's just haters and sometimes it could be your own competition and I don't feel like they offer a lot of protection which is the reason when I'm hosting my, or when I'm blogging on my blog, I host my videos on my own hosting and the reason that I do that is I understand like, you know, if I had a hundred videos on one account and my account got shut down overnight, like it's happened several times, I would lose every video in every blog post and that would be such a hassle for me to spend like 20 hours updating all my blogs and re-uploading videos to hosting so it would never get done. So to avoid that, I own my own video hosting. I use a service called Wistia.

This is the kind of thing I teach in The Daily Shortcut: one short episode a day, free. Send Me Episode One →

It is like the Rolls Royce of video hosting and I'm not selling video hosting. I think like, you know, there's a lot of good video hosting but I would avoid Vimeo because they don't like anything to do with make money. I had a pro account on Vimeo, hundreds of videos and they wrote me a letter one day like an email and they said we had to shut down your account because you do promotions on it or something like that. I said can you send me an example of a video because like the last 30 videos I uploaded were lifestyle of my family only and I sent them a video, I said this one too and he said all of your stuff is like, you know, promoting something because we went to your website and you eventually sell something. After I give all this free training and I don't sell something, it's like, they actually took the time to do that so they just make it clear they don't like our kind so I don't like support them and I don't use them. I don't recommend them because if my paid account got shut down, that means there's no protection for anyone but Wistia is a company I've never been shut down and it's just like, I've never heard anyone experience problems with them and I use it for video hosting because you can see analytics and statistics and I probably shouldn't take you back here but this is Tactical Tuesday and I'm kind of releasing like all my good tools and things I personally use that I'm not trying to sell but just sharing what I do and this is, you know, I share this account with my partner Jibril and I know Rhonda uploads some, our team members upload some of their videos here but I like Wistia because it shows you analytics on every video, you know, it shows you how many plays your video's getting.

I upload a lot of stuff here, just random videos just to see my engagement and like for example, if I want to see how many people watch my video to the end, I can click on and this is something that's on one of like my sales pages and my funnels that eventually goes to Empower Network and I can check out my stats and I can see this video did a decent job, it's a short video, 53% engagement, definitely not my best because I have videos that have a 70% engagement that are triple the length but it's decent, typically 40% or better is a good engagement but I want to know how many people are watching my video until the very end and I think a reason why on this particular thing that I'm tracking is probably only 53% because I have a call to action button that appears like 30 seconds into it so a lot of the people are probably clicking the button and not sticking around to the end which is actually a good thing on that example. Maybe I'll just show you one more example and they scroll down to something that has like a lot of views that we can really gauge from, something that has thousands of views. So these are typically my sales funnel videos or they're videos I put on my blog that I like to track if I'm not using like Facebook hosting but often times I'll host it myself. I just want to see the stats of this video one. This is a really long video that goes into my like long sales video which is like that value process over a three day period of time. Let's check out the stats, this is like a 15 or 20 minute video, 21 minutes, 40% engagement.

Now why is it 21 minutes? I paid an incredible videographer to do this because this is like, this is a video that I wanted to provide for my team to use to get traffic and all that stuff so I invested a lot of money in creating it, it wasn't cheap. I went to a really exclusive resort, I paid for like the video guys' expenses and got him out there and he shot, this was actually Steele Rutherford, he did an amazing job, he shot a funnel for our tribe member Rhonda and shout out to them, Brian and Rhonda Swan and so it shot like a movie to entertain people but to share my message in a very clear way and you know, these are the types of videos that I do, I do all sorts of videos. Some of them are you know, highly budgeted so I can like do some heavy, because here's the thing, if you're gonna throw $50,000 at an ad campaign at a video, you're gonna make sure your video is good, number one, and that your video is clear and that gets the message across but some of my videos I just pull out my phone and there's no intention of doing paid advertising, like most of these videos are not paid advertising and actually that video is not paid advertising per se, it's just people sharing it, which is actually pretty cool. It mix with paid advertising because some people are doing paid advertising so it is a mixture just to be honest, let's, I don't know how many examples you want me to show but I think I just wanted to show the fact that I do use video hosting and there's a purpose for it, I like to know the analytics of my video but the good news is as well, YouTube and Facebook both have analytics and damn good analytics, especially the fan pages. When you post something on your fan page, you can actually get all the stats, I'm not logged in because I'm logged in to a different profile and I think that'll take away too much time that's unnecessary but the analytics are very important because it helps you with what to improve and once you know like what needs to be improved in a video, you can get better and higher engagements and ultimately, the more people that stick around to the end, the better the results and more leads that you generate because they'll see your page.

Now what's the downside of doing a 16 minute video? Not everyone's watching it until the very end but I believe the information is so good, they're at least gonna like click on my link, which I think happens and social engagement is big. I never even interacted here because I gave up, truthfully I gave up on this channel long ago because I knew the bigger I'd get, I'd attract more hatred towards it because I do share things that are like government conspiracies and sometimes I feel like there's evil people watching and doing bad things so just to avoid that energy, I just stopped updating it but I just shared this video because I knew it would impact a lot of people's lives but I don't even interact on it because I don't want to attract more attention to it, it's kind of just like secret, I've done it in the past, it is what it is, it's successful, a lot of great information on it and I just want to keep it up and not jeopardize it and that's why I focus a lot of my attention nowadays on Facebook because you can promote a video for free, you can test something out with a headline, description, a capture page and if it gets good results, you can do a paid ad with it on your fan page because if it worked organically, it's going to work with paid ads and that's what we did with our pineal gland video. It got such a good response organically, hundreds of thousands of views, we said let's run some traffic to it, we ran a little bit of traffic to it, I think we spent a total of like 10 or $15,000 just promoting this video on Facebook, not on this YouTube account and the reason we did that, we generated over 20,000 leads from it so all it takes is one good campaign, truthfully, to be a multiple six figure, maybe even a seven figure income earner and Empower Network, my results are not typical but I want you to know what's possible and I'm going to stop for maybe some questions and I still have a lot to cover but I know time's limited so I want to check with you, Michelle. Oh, I think it's on my Chrome here and I'll stop sharing my screen for a second. I just want to see in the comments, I want to know if this is valuable and helpful for you.

My screen froze, check here. Not sure if my screen froze here. Let me see, may stop sharing my screen. That's not it, here we go. And if everyone can let me know, can you still see me? I stopped sharing my screen, I just didn't hear anything and the faces are frozen but maybe you can hear me or maybe I'm not hearing, let me check the comments.

Check the top here, so many comments to go through here. Hey, Justin, I just wanted to let you know we can see and hear you. Okay, cool, you guys froze so I wasn't sure if I was frozen but I wanted to stop just for you to jump in and make sure I'm on track or I know time flies and there's so much to cover. Awesome, for anybody who's wondering if we're live, yes, we are live. The Hangout Sometimes decided to freeze or kick people out and do its own thing. This has been fantastic content so far.

I know chat is really appreciating that you've shared some of your stats and some behind the scenes information for people who are into video marketing. That's just really gold content for them. Some of the questions that we're getting coming in are people asking if they're brand new to video. So maybe they haven't shot very many videos before. What's the easiest way to get started? How do they figure out what to say in their video?

I know you've got a formula for that. Could you share a little bit about that part of it with us? Yep, I'll break down the formula and it's just three, and I've shared this before maybe a while ago on a previous Hangout. The formula we use for every video starts with a pattern interrupt, and a pattern, and this is step one, so just everyone write this down, because you can use this for every type of video that you do to engage them. Separate, and what a pattern interrupt is is doing something different to kind of give them something they didn't expect. So they go to play the video, and the idea is to get them to tilt their head like a dog and be like, and smile, ultimately.

To get a smile out of them in the very beginning of the video by doing something different or enticing them and making them just more interested in things like B-roll of a beach, walking. Sometimes I take my daughter, Kuan Yin, for a walk. This is a great pattern interrupt because you're moving, and when you incorporate motion, it's a perfect way to use a pattern interrupt. In the beginning of this video I did for my webinar, I made sure to start the video overlooking this Trump Tower, which is the tallest building. It looks like this building's the tallest. This is in Panama City.

We just spent 30 days there. It was so amazing, but this building is taller. It's just because this one's closer, it looks taller. This is the Trump Tower. There's 66 floors. That's the tallest building in Panama, but there was an epic view, so I made sure to start the video off, and it wasn't long.

I just said, you know, welcome to the video. Overlooking Panama City, not Florida, but this is Panama City, Panama, baby, and that was my pattern interrupt. To give them something they normally wouldn't see at the very beginning of a video because I happen to be in a very beautiful place, but that's why I say lifestyle is probably one of the best pattern interrupts, so when you go to the beach, when you go to an event, when you do something cool with your kids, when you do something you're passionate about, you know what I mean? Document it. Take some short B-roll video clips, like I mentioned earlier, three seconds, five seconds, and you can incorporate them into your video. It's very easy to do and learn within an iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, but if you're lazy like me, you can go to, and actually I'm not lazy.

I do edit my own videos oftentimes, but if I didn't feel like doing it or if I didn't have the time, I can type in video editing on Fiverr. I can do a search by highest ratings, which is the way I like to hire people personally, and then I can find a professional to professionally edit my video. I will do video editing professionally within 24 hours, and I can give them my video clip, and I can get crystal clear on what I expect, because the more clear you are, the better chance of them delivering what you're seeking. 508 five-star reviews. I wouldn't hesitate to hire someone like this if I didn't want to learn to do it, but my passion is video, so I like to do it. So pattern interrupt is the first step.

Motion is a great way to do that. Just give them what they don't expect. If you watch videos of what they're doing in your marketplace for that topic, do the opposite of them. So if everyone's shooting a video in their office, go outside your office. If everyone, if it's make money from home niche and everyone is outside their office, do something funny, go skateboard, or go do something entertaining that you think people will appreciate that resonate with you. I like to connect with people on the meditation level, because I'm passionate about meditation, so oftentimes I will talk about meditation, or I'll start my video off in a lotus, which is a meditation position, so I can unconsciously resonate with my audience, giving them a reason to listen to me.

So the very first step is the pattern interrupt, and I forgot you can't see my screen right now, and I was assuming you could, but you don't need to, which is just kind of funny, and that's why I was zoning out, looking at videos, and pointing to things which you couldn't see, which I apologize for. Step one, pattern interrupt. Step two, content delivery. What problems are in, what problems is your perfect avatar experiencing right now, and how can you solve them? Focus on that, and it may be a minute, it may be two minutes, it may be 30 seconds, and there's no right or wrong for length, but typically if you're new, which probably most of you are, keep your videos under three minutes, because it's very hard to keep people's attention unless you're a video professional, which the only way to become professional is to make hundreds of shitty videos, and it's just like the dead honest truth, you become great from failure, and sticking to it, and I think that's why I got good on video, I was willing to fail in the beginning, I didn't let it hold me back, and that's like my formula for success. So identify the problem, present yourself as the solution.

If people are having problems learning how to meditate, I may offer a free training. Go to my website below, I'm giving away a free e-course, or I'm giving away a free video training, sharing my personal meditation technique that I have been using for the past three years that helped me take my meditation to the next level, is inviting people and giving them a reason to click on it versus just trying to sell them my business. Do you understand that? I think that's like, a lot of people oftentimes are going right for the sale, but you never demonstrate, you never gave your audience a reason to listen to you. It's serious. So give them a reason by providing value, and then they're gonna put their defenses down, and be like, wow, this person actually cares about me.

Let me go give them my email, build a relationship, and then this is how I'm able to live my freedom lifestyle. Check out this system that I found, that I can leverage off of and still have a life at the same time. There's a lot of different angles you can come to introduce, Ian, but the focus of this training specifically is lead generation, because once you have the lead, you can focus all your attention on converting them. It's actually not hard to do, but if you have no leads, forget about conversions. Totally different ballgame. So pattern interrupt, content delivery, step three, the final step of the formula, is a solid, clear call to action.

I'll say it again, a solid, clear call to action. People will do what you tell them to do, especially if you just solve their problem, or you're giving them the solution to their problem. They will listen to you. So what I will do typically, I will say click, and if this is a video on let's say a Facebook or something, or YouTube, click the link in the description and here's why you should do that. I'm going to give you blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And so also, when I say click the link below or click the link in the description, I'll make a call out in the video editing software.

If you're outsourcing the editing, you can tell them I want a call out. I want it to say click the link below exactly when I say it at the end, right? And if you do that, the chances of them doing it escalate because they just seen it, so unconsciously they may do it because they just saw it. That's how the brain registers when you tell people what to do. And then they're hearing it as well, and it's very clear and it's giving them a good reason why they should do it. If you implement all three of those elements into your video marketing, every video can be successful, every single video.

And so that's the formula for creating good video. Some other tidbits, share it like a passion. Connect with your audience and limit your audience to a certain amount of people. You know what I mean? I may talk about people called me weird and crazy for believing in the law of attraction. Why?

I want to attract weird, crazy mofos who believe in the law of attraction because that's who I choose to work with. I understand that audience, that's what I learn. You know what I mean? That's what I'm into, that's what I'm passionate about. We can really relate to each other. And I want you to start thinking about that and drop in your why in the video.

And the video doesn't have to be 10 minutes, but I do this to help others create freedom in their life. I may start the video off that way. Why? It's sharing my why with people, which is more powerful than any information that I can share. And I think a lot of you are afraid to share your story, afraid to really connect with people on a fear that you may be judged and not everyone's gonna love you. But the truth is, you don't want everyone to love you.

Because if everyone loved you, you'd be fake. And I can guarantee that. Because some of my biggest role models had a lot of haters. A lot of my biggest role models got assassinated by haters. You know what I mean? John F.

Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Tupac Shakur. So be yourself, you know what I mean? But be free, embrace who you truly are. Because that's what's gonna give people a reason to follow you and not some other superstar in Empower Network. And so that's the formula. I'll stop rambling there.

No, that was great. And what I love about the way that you share how you do video is it comes across so clearly what you're passionate about and why it's easy for you to turn on that camera and do videos about these topics because you're not being fake. You're really speaking from the heart about what you care about. And the amazing thing about video is that it gives us a way to really connect with people. Because when we're building our business virtually and you're able to get on camera and they can click play and see you talk. I mean, I know you guys in chat can see Justin's passion coming through as he shares these different topics.

And some of these are things that we don't normally hear mentioned on Empower Network trainings. This is a little bit out of the box. But it's because this is Justin's audience. This is who he connects with and who he wants to work with, which is part of building a business that you love. He's not stuck working with people who don't resonate with him. He's chosen his audience based on who he wants to spend time with.

And what is better than having a business where it's not you got to get up and go to work. I'm excited to do this because I get to connect with people who think like me, who enjoy the same things I do. That's awesome. So Justin, one of the questions that's come in that I think you're perfect to answer is, how do you choose that niche? And you talked a little bit about people being afraid to share their story. How does your story connect to who you're targeting with your videos?

Just my biggest passion. I want you to write down, what am I most passionate about? What is it? Whatever that is, start sharing information on it. Become the expert on that topic. Even if the expert means reading one book in the field, you can become an expert because most people don't read.

So it's not really hard to do. You can read a really good blog post from Neil Patel or Michelle and become an expert on a subject because the content is that good. And then share content based on that. But this is how I tapped into mine. I said, what am I most passionate about? What do I feel my purpose is?

And that's awakening other and raising the vibration of consciousness here on this earth. So I'm going to talk to things that are in correlation to that. I'm going to talk about meditation. I'm going to talk about law of attraction. I'm going to talk about personal development. I'm going to talk about freedom.

And freedom is probably my biggest message that I share because it resonates so much with my soul. I believe that it's my mission to help awaken the mentally dead because I believe that people are living in a matrix, which basically means the slavery model of life, doing what everyone else does just to get by. You know, I've been around poor people and I've been around wealthy people and I choose to surround myself around people that are more influential, doing bigger things, not because they have money, but because their way of thinking isn't negative. They're not negatrons. You hang around people struggling about money and they're just complaining how expensive shit is. I hang around rich people.

They're talking about ideas on ways to making more money, ways of creating freedom in more people's lives, ways of giving back to charity and doing things like causes like Miguel Borges does inside of Empower Network with the lazy millionaires with Silvio and Roy. They do amazing charity work and they're able to do that because they have freedom, baby. So these are the things that I'm going to talk about. I'm not just going to talk about money because what's behind the money? It's a very surface thing and it's not clear. Yes, you can attract everybody, but I don't want to attract everybody because I know most people will get offended by the stuff that I talk about.

So I'm going to attract people who share similar belief systems to me and I'm going to just embrace who I am because there's not a lot of people doing that. And if you can be yourself and get paid to do what you love, you never work a day in your life. Granted, you do work because businesses work, but you can work on what you're passionate about and you can achieve supreme mastery, which is basically the definition of Kung Fu, is supreme mastery and supreme skill through hard work. And I do believe in a hard work ethic. I believe if you focus on video with your blogging over the next blogging challenge and you do that, and you don't stop after the first blogging challenge, but you continue blogging challenge through blogging challenge and you have a long-term perspective, that you can be amazing at video. You can generate leads, you can generate sales, you can gain an influence because at the end of the day, it's how big is your influence and how do I expand my influence.

Blogging and video, in my opinion, is the best and fastest way to do that and you can do it 100% organically. And when you start making money, you can start investing into your business, treat it like a real business, and you could escalate it and build it faster doing some paid advertising methods as well. I don't know if that answered your question. Truth be told, I forgot what it was, but I'll stop. Yes, thank you. And I hope everybody in chat caught what Justin just said there because one of the questions we've had coming in, especially when you mentioned how much you spent on advertising for some of your videos, when you first got started, you weren't spending that kind of ad budget, were you?

My first video ad was about two years ago when I met Jabril. I never did a paid video advertisement in my life and I've been in Empower for three years. In my first year, I had a lot of success and that was coming from organic video. So free video is very effective. I just showed you I got millions of views from free stuff. So don't think that it don't work.

But eventually, if you start making a lot of money with free video, you'd probably be silly not to invest into paid advertising because you can scale your free videos that are effective and get tremendous results, like leads for less than a dollar. Awesome. Thank you for answering that. We had a lot of people asking, did they need to spend $15,000 to get started with video? And of course, the answer is no. Justin showed you YouTube.

He showed you Facebook. You can upload your videos. They're totally free. You can put them on YouTube, embed them in your blog. And the strategies she showed you with keywords and target market are how you get that traffic. Okay, I'm going to scroll through the questions here.

We've got a couple more. And Amy and Miriam and some others are asking, how do you figure out what your passion is? So where do you start to connect with that so that you know what to share in your videos? Yeah, so what makes you happy? And that was the original question I was answering and so I started ranting. What makes you happy?

For me personally, freedom with my family. I'm very happy. I don't have to go to a job. So I share a lot of lifestyle. Why do I do it? Because most people don't have that lifestyle.

And I want to give permission to other people to believe that it's possible in their life. So I'll show being with Quan Yin or taking her for a walk or going on a vacation or traveling because I'm very passionate about my family. I'm very passionate about being a father. I'm very passionate about being a husband. So those are things I talk about. So what makes you happy?

It's going to be different things for different people. Some people are into music. I have a lot of people on my team who are musicians, whether they produce beats or they're aspiring artists or whatever it is that they do. And they talk about music and they tap into people who are also interested in music. If I was an athlete and let's say I like ran marathons, I'd have a channel on like running marathons and like exercising and things of this nature. It really depends upon what you're passionate about, but also keep in mind, some niches probably aren't the best target market for a business.

So if you think of a niche that poor people do, maybe it's thrift shopping. I don't really know if poor people do that. I have no idea because I really talk about thrift shopping. But if a lot of poor people do it that don't have money, it's probably not the best niche for building a business. I like my niche personally because I'm passionate about it, but it's also people who invest in their personal education. There's a reason I attract personal development people to the business.

I read books, I actually read books. And then I target the authors on Facebook because I wanna communicate with people who are reading the same books as I'm reading because they're investing into their education. And there's a direct correlation for business. I don't know if you've realized that. It's nothing to do with business, but it's everything to do with business. So just keep that in the back of your mind.

A good niche, if I was into Rolexes, I just think it's cool and I'm proud to have one because of what it represents and me winning it and the whole story behind it, being three years of my annual salary. But I'm not passionate about it, but I don't blog about it. But it's probably a good niche of rich people who have money, right? Rolls-Royce, Bentleys, BMWs, these are probably incredible niches. So I also want you to think about that in the back of your mind. A niche of people who would be a good fit to run a business, not just a niche of like stamp collectors.

I mean, not that the niche isn't good, it's actually probably a good niche, but you probably have to build an audience like a hundred times the size to find an amount of people looking to build a business or something like that that way. So I just want you to keep that in mind. Attract prospects that have money. It'll be easier to get conversions. And that's just what I have realized for me personally. I don't speak on behalf of everybody.

Got it. I think that's really helpful for anybody trying to figure that out, because it is important to know that the niche and the market that you're targeting is one that will at some point be interested and capable of investing in themselves to build a business. All right, so we've gone over a lot of the tactical questions that have come in. So I kind of want to transition and share a little bit about what's coming up. I know you've got your ticket to Nashville and you are on stage. So can you give us kind of a sneak peek of what you'll be sharing during your time on stage?

I don't suppose to tell anybody it is top secret. I don't even think I told J.Cron or anybody. And to be honest, I'm gonna leave it a mystery. And the reason for that, and this is just how I operate, I don't feel I can best serve thousands of people by creating pre-written stuff. I rather channel the energy of the audience and feel what they need and interact with them and have a better experience. But I will be prepared.

I will have great points I can touch upon that I feel could inspire people as well as teach them some of the tactics of what they need to build their business. I can guarantee that because it's my passion to do that. Ultimately, I set an intention. And my intention is for you to believe that what I did is possible for you, even if you don't have dreams as big as mine, even if it's at an acute level. I believe it is possible. I believe whatever you're seeking out of life, you can attain it.

And it's my mission to bridge the gap. And I can guarantee you I'll do my damn best to make that happen just like I do at every event. And I'm excited to open it up. And of course, you'll have Dee Varengia with us. We just like to speak from the heart. And we'll just set that intention and we'll make sure we make it happen.

Fair enough. So Dustin and Dee's presentation is top secret. You've gotta get to the event if you wanna find out. And as you can see, you never know what Justin's gonna share when he gets behind a microphone. You don't wanna miss the opportunity to be there and to be inspired. Because as you watch Justin and Dee, what you'll see is that they really do care about your success.

It matters to them to be like Justin just said, that bridge to help you get from where you're at right now to where you wanna be to achieve your dreams. And that's something that's common to all the leaders that you will see it empower. And everyone who will step on that stage, they are there to inspire you, to make you realize if they can go from where they were at to where they're at today with the businesses they've got surrounded by people that they love working with and with the freedom to live the lifestyle they want, you can do it too. So I encourage you, if you don't have your ticket yet, make sure you click the button or the link below the button, I believe it's on this side, and get your ticket to Unleash. Come join us in Nashville. You can say hi to Justin while you're there and meet Dee and their beautiful little baby and just have an opportunity to be around people who are inspired.

Like Justin said, this is a group of people who cares about working on themselves, about personal growth and development and really making a change in the way the world operates to free people from being stuck in jobs they don't like, from being stuck in a life that's not what they dream of to where everyone can go to living what they wanna live, the lifestyle they want, having the freedom to do what they care about because that is possible. You guys have seen tonight some of the ways that Justin's been able to do that through video marketing to capture leads. You hear from our other leaders on these Tactical Tuesdays, the strategies they've used to do it, and it is possible for you as well. So I'll give Justin another minute here to share with us what's one reason someone should get their ticket to Unleash now if they don't have it yet. Great question. I also wanted to mention, if you're not already a part of our Freedom Community, there's a link right on your right.

You can test drive the system, I believe, for like $7, so it's really risk-free. Check it out and see what we're all about, see if it resonates with you, and if it does, make sure you get your ticket. Here's why you need to be there. My life transformed in June of 2012 when I went to my first event in Atlanta, Georgia. Why'd it transform? And here's why, and I make it a little too woo-woo for some of you, but thoughts are real.

There's a dimension of thoughts, and you can't see them the same way you can't see music, because we're limited in our senses and what we can actually see. But there is a realm of thoughts and energy that exists that you can't see, maybe some psychics or like some Indigo children or super psychics can see and feel, I know a lot of you can feel it within this community, because there's a lot of you weirdos just like me who tap into that sort of stuff, but there's a real dimension, and if you could surround yourself with this energy and this love, and I describe it as love, as a collective, you will transform just being in the room. Transformations come from your heart, right? They don't come from like a tactic, I'm just gonna be real with you. Something will shift inside of you that transforms your level of thinking, it transforms your level of belief, and once you can truly believe and open up Pandora's box and stop putting limited beliefs on like giving excuses for why you can't do something, your life will shift, because energy and thoughts are real and you get to surround yourself around the most passionate, loving group of freedompreneurs in the entire world that are gonna be there from all around the world, so I look at it as like a white magic ritual, just like evil people that are in secret societies may do these black rituals where they sacrifice human babies for all we know, you know what I mean? But nonetheless, white magic means love and light at a vibration that lifts the consciousness of the people, and I believe that is so powerful, it can basically change molecules in water, and it's been documented to do so, the same way that meditation is so powerful, it's proven from Harvard University that it basically changes your DNA, right?

I believe you can have like this shift just by being there, that's why you need to get to the event, and I'm sorry if I got a little too graphic or a little too deep, but if I didn't do that, I wouldn't be the hippie Jedi. You know, Justin, you are such a great example of someone who is just themselves, when you get on camera or when you're on stage, you're just honest about your beliefs about what you see in the world, and that resonates with people, because people have to respect when you're real and you're honest with them and you're just showing them, hey, this is the world as I see it, and that's one of the things that I love about the community, like you said, when you get there and you are surrounded by other people who they realize you can have one of two things, you can either have excuses or you can have results, but you've gotta pick one or the other, and they've chosen to lose the excuses, to lose the fear of being wrong or making a mistake, you know, that ties into video, you might be afraid to get on camera, but you've just gotta not worry about that, and go for it, give it a shot, give people a chance to get to know you, to see you through video, and when you are around other people who are making those decisions to just go after what they want, it is a different energy, it's exciting, it's inspiring, and you can't help but walk away changed like Justin shared, so if you don't have your ticket yet, make sure you click that link, get your ticket now, the event tickets are selling fast, and you wanna make sure you get one before it that sells out, and also, if you're not a member of Empower Network yet, you are invited to join us, $7 for seven days, it's risk free, give it a try, and you can join our community and find out more about how you can build a business from home that allows you the freedom to do what you want, so Justin, I'll let you close us out with your last 30-second thought here. Last 30 seconds is don't be shy, and I just wanna thank everyone and say I'm looking forward to actually meeting you, if we've never met yet, I look forward to going to the events to not only connect with our existing team members and people I know, but to meet a lot of new people and to hear your story, and just to just connect with you means the world to me, so don't be shy and be afraid to come up to me because my wife's very attractive, you know what I mean, or something like that, or you see us with Pony and do say hello, and hopefully we can get a picture or something, but my advice is don't be afraid to get in front of a camera, don't be afraid to embrace your true self and tap into who you truly are, and to let out your inner voice because people need to hear that, because like I said earlier, when you express your true self, you give others permission to do the same, and the world needs more of that, the world needs more innovators, the world needs more free thinkers, the world needs more people who don't follow the status quo because those are people who change things, and those people are you, and that's why you're here right now, and so start shooting some videos and do the video challenge and incorporate video into the blogging challenge, and never stop, and then a year from now come back to me and tell me the results you've seen in your business following that three step formula I laid out for you here on Tactical Tuesday, I just wanna say how humbled I am to be out here, to be in a teacher position, I do feel it's my mission on earth to be a teacher, and I just wanna continue teaching people good marketing, teaching people how to become better human beings, teaching people the benefits of meditation, teaching people how to activate their third eye, teaching people how to embrace them true selves, and teaching people how to inspire others to step into that true life of freedom so we can shift and change this paradigm on this earth and make it a better place, and I appreciate you, namaste. Congratulations on making the right decision to join us in Nashville to make sure that you're with the crowd and networking like crazy. We encourage you to reserve your room now before they sell out. There are still rooms available, but they're going fast, and you don't wanna let this opportunity slip by because once it sells out, you will lose the opportunity to network with thousands of other empower affiliates who are staying at this amazing hotel and just get what you're talking about. We'd hate for you to miss out on the opportunity for these spontaneous moments of inspiration. Talk about the way to get energized and pumped up. You'll lose the opportunity to meet top leaders and have those chance conversations in the hallways and elevators that make the connection you need or hear what's really working right now in their business.
