Hey, this is Cassandra Lee here, and I'm ready to shoot you this next audio, guys. I'm excited. Hopefully, you've been enjoying them, and if you guys are getting some massive value out of the audios that my husband and I are putting out there, whether it's him, whether it's me, whether it's us as the power couple together, please let us know, okay? Guys, I want you to understand today's topic that I'm going to be talking about is how to find your target market and market to them, right? How do you find them and then begin marketing to them?
This is such a simple concept, but when I first got started, somebody would ask me, you know, what's your target market? And I never had a clear, concise answer. In fact, it was broad. You know, I remember Paul Gardner, he would ask me, Paul the Rose Reaper Gardner, right? He'd ask us, you know, what's your target market?
And I'd say something like, you know, oh, this type of person. And then he was like, no, wrong. And I was like, what do you mean? And you know, one thing, I think Tracy Walker says this all the time, shout out to the dream team out there, right? You know, she says, what does she say?
She says, if you're marketing to everyone, you're marketing to no one. And this is such a powerful concept, and this works for anything, guys, anything, you know? Seriously, if you don't understand who are the groups of people that want what it is that you offer, you're never going to satisfy anyone, nor are you ever going to be able to market to them. And if you understand that, you will take your business to the next level. I mean, this could literally, I mean, literally, this was the one piece that was missing, you know, that was missing to our entire, you know, business.
Like we didn't understand this. And once we finally understood it, we were able to hone in all of our marketing towards one group of people, just one. And because of that, we began to start getting sales, we began to start getting leads. I mean, things just started changing and blowing up for us. It was unbelievable.
It was powerful. And I share that with you because, you know, maybe you're at that stage, maybe you chose to listen to this audio today because you're saying, look, I'm putting blogs out there, I'm talking to people, I'm marketing, but I'm not seeing, I don't understand really if the right people are actually, you know, getting attracted to my blog, you know? I mean, you know that you're not really reaching a target market. If you post something on Facebook or on your social media sites or you email something and nobody's really opening up the emails or looking at your blog or engaging with anything, your target market isn't really interested in what it is that you're posting. So now you have to think, who is my target market?
You know, if that's you, if you're at that place, then I'm here to help you, right? That's what this audio is dedicated to. So I want to give you an example, right? I want you to imagine that I'm selling organic chicken, okay? Imagine I'm selling organic chicken and I'm going around, I'm talking to people and I end up talking to this one person and I say, hey, you know, you know, this organic chicken is phenomenal.
Like you want this chicken. I'm telling you, I got so many recipes that you can make with this organic chicken and why it's so good is because it's, it's, you know, fed this way and it's raised this way and the chicken is, is soft. It's tender. It's, it's not, you know, it's some good frigging chicken, right? And the person looks at me and they're waiting until I'm done with my chicken rant.
And they look at me and they say, I'm a vegan. And I go, Oh, Oh, I'm sorry. You're vegan. So you're not, you don't, this, this conversation is pointless, isn't it? You know, at that point I have wasted my breath, my time, not only mine, but this person's time trying to convince them that this is the chicken that they need to buy when they are literally not at all interested in chicken.
I mean, any meat, period. And you see how much time has been wasted, right? That I could have used selling someone who actually wanted it. I mean, the vegan is nowhere near my target market, therefore there's no need for me to market to them. And some of you are doing that very thing.
You're, you're, you're spending time convincing people who are not even interested in what it is you have to offer. You're spending time getting people to read a blog that you wrote that they're not even interested in. You're posting on social media to an audience of people who aren't even interested in what it is you're posting. They don't care. And that's the sad thing is that when you're marketing to people who aren't in your target market, you're talking to people who have no care in the world of what it is you're doing.
And that gets discouraging. Because now you're investing your time, you're investing your sweat, right? You're investing your hard work, your thoughts, your creativity on people who can care less and then you feel like you're doing all of this work and you're not receiving the results you're looking for. Time consuming. It's tiresome.
It's running like, like an endless cycle. It's like, you know, a hamster wheel. You know, that's not how you want to run business. That's not how you should run business. And that is not how business is supposed to be run.
You know, I'm here to wake you guys up and get you to see that there's a better way in marketing your business. But the only way that you can really grasp the understanding of how to do it is by understanding first who your target market literally is. Because if you cannot understand that, then what happens is you're not going to be able to actually market effectively. You're going to market to everyone and like Tracy Walker says, marketing to everyone is like marketing to no one. That's not good.
You know, that's not good guys. So let's get right into it now that I kind of explained or set the tone of what it is that we're going to be talking about tonight or whatever, you know, time of day it is. Okay. So when you're thinking about your target market and you figure out who it is, now you can literally organize everything that you do accordingly to that specific niche, right? That specific market, right?
That specific audience. Therefore, when you do that and you, you, you tailor it to them, the likelihood of them engaging, of them subscribing, of them commenting, of them buying is much higher. And at that point you have them wrapped around your finger and then you're able to actually close the sale. That's how powerful this stuff is. And so let's, let's ask, you know, certain questions and figuring out who your target market is.
Now I'm, I asked myself these three basic questions. Now, you know, the audio today is not just about the target market. It's about then marketing to them, right? Because once you find the target market, then you have to go, okay, now what? Right?
I actually want to allow you to bridge the two. I want to connect the two scenarios for you, the two avenues of growing your business. Once you have them connected, you're going to leave here feeling confident. You're going to leave this audio ready to take action. I mean, this is probably the best way to start your day.
So hopefully you're, you're listening to this at the beginning of your day, unless you have a full-time job, came home and now you're ready to work this business. Okay. So check it out. Ready? One of the first questions that I begin to ask myself anytime I'm getting ready to sell a product, in any stream of my income and any income stream that we have, before I actually push whatever it is that I'm selling.
The first thing I ask myself is what problem does my service solve or my product, right? What problem does my product solve? What problem does my service solve? What problem does my brand solve? Whatever it is that you're selling.
Okay. Think about it. So at that point, that question forces you to think about the different things your product offers, your service offers. So for example, if I was selling, you know, one-on-one, workouts, right? Like what's it called?
What's the frigging thing called? Like I've totally lost what it's called. A personal trainer. There you go. What if I'm selling a personal training, right?
Personal training for exercises, right? I'm going to start thinking of the different things that solves. Well, number one, it solves one-on-one attention when it comes to weight loss. Number two, it solves a dietary plan, right? Number three, it solves a weight loss plan.
Number four, it solves focus exercises, right? Number five, accountability. Number six, motivation, right? I could start thinking of all different things that one, this one particular area of my product solves, right? So then I say, well, who has this problem?
I say, what problem does it solve? Right? So I'm thinking of all the different problems that it's going to solve. Okay. And I'm going to write all the problems.
Someone who doesn't understand, right? What I just gave you was the solutions. You want to actually think of the problems now. So you think of, you know, someone who doesn't know how to work out. Someone who doesn't know how to lose a certain area of their body that they're looking to tone up, right?
So focus workouts. So somebody just wants to work on their arms or their stomach or their legs, right? Focus plans, right? Someone who has no idea how to do focus workouts. Someone who has no idea how to diet correctly.
You know, someone who always gets started in a workout but never finishes through. So someone who doesn't have the follow through or completion or laziness, right? You know, I'm going to think of all the different problems that each thing solves. All right. Once you have that, you're ready to move on.
Okay. Do you got it? If you don't, pause the audio. I was going to say video, but that doesn't make sense. All right.
Pause the audio and go ahead and get started. Okay. Get started right now. Write that down. All right.
Once you've written it down, let's move on. The next question, I'm assuming you finished, and the next question is, who has those problems? All right. Who has those problems? Now you want to actually write down who would have those problems.
Obviously, you know, people who are thicker, right? People who have, you know, a higher fat percentage. You know, people who, you know, don't have the budget of dieting. You know, people who don't have time. You know, this also helps solve time.
So people who don't have time to really work out, you know, you start thinking of different people, right? Is it moms? Is it single parents? Is it what age group are these people? Is it men?
Is it you start thinking of the different types of people who have these problems, right? Who have these problems. And really, you can research this, guys. I mean, Google has literally just about every answer out there. So you can Google, you know, the people who have these problems, you know, the demographics of people who have, you know, these problems, these challenges.
And so therefore, you can then create your target market. And that's it. That's how you literally create it. Now I got to connect with you how you get to know who this target market is and connect it to being able to actually market to them, right? You got to connect the two, okay?
So once you've answered those two questions and you write that down, you have a good idea of who that target market is. Now we can talk about how we market to them. Guys, is this easy or what, right? I'm pretty sure, I don't know, maybe you have, maybe you haven't, but I'm trying to simplify this to the simplest form. I really want to make it where you are totally like, wow, I've never heard it this way.
Never understood it this way. You know, if you're getting any aha moments, let us know. I wish my husband was here, but it's okay. I'm here, right? And I'm sure he's got some audios he's got up here too.
Hopefully you're enjoying him, you know, enjoying some of the stuff that he's teaching too. But man, is this simple or what, right? This stuff doesn't have to be complicated. Because we like to inflate these situations or these details and make it seem like it is, it is, you know, like, like freaking rocket science and it isn't, it isn't guys, you know, it is really simple, you know, and this works for anything that you're selling. Like I said, I used, you know, private, personal training.
So you can do this with anything, anything, whether it be music, right? You know, an album, martial arts, anything, anything. You can sell this for anything. You can use this outline for anything. Okay.
So now that we know the target market, let's connect it. So the next part, the next question that I ask myself is where do those people hang? This is a powerful question to ask yourself, where do those people hang? When you ask this question, you're probably saying, okay, that is powerful, but what does that even mean? What does this even mean?
Like hang out where? Well, you got to think of the internet as if it were an actual world, right? An actual community. So if you think about a regular, you know, onsite community, if I was thinking about personal training and let's say it was a total offline business, where do they hang out? Well, different places would be like McDonald's, right?
They hang out there. Where else would they hang out? At the gym. They're, they're really trying, right? Where else would they hang out?
At the park, right? Where else would they hang out? Let's think different places, right? The mall, right? You start thinking of different places that these people would hang out to find information about what it is that they're looking for.
And so if you, if you take the offline world and you, you make it very similar to the off, I mean, to the online community, you think about it that way. Where are they hanging? So when I, when I asked that question, it's, what are they searching on YouTube? What are they searching on Google, right? What groups do they like?
What groups are they in on Facebook? What pages do they like on Facebook? What hashtags are they hashtagging? What people are they following on Twitter? What are they retweeting, right?
You start thinking of all of these things. And what happens is suddenly you know exactly where your target market is hanging out. Boom. I just gave you gold. Some of you are like, oh my goodness, I get it.
Cassandra, stop talking. I know exactly what I need to do. Man, high five, you know, for the person that got it, high five. Now, if you didn't get it, go back, rewind this, redo it again. It'll hit you.
It'll hit you eventually. I'm telling you, you do this, you will never be confused as to who you're marketing to or how to even market to them. Like you literally have the answer right in front of you on what it is you need to talk about, how you need to relay the message, where you need to relay the message, and how do you convert that now? It's that simple, guys, it is that simple. So now that you know where they're hanging out, all you got to do is place your offer in front of them.
So when they're hanging out in those places, they come across you, therefore you seem like the savior, and they click on whatever it is that you're offering, they hunt you down, I need this product, I need this service, I'm ready to get started, I found you here, I researched this, and you popped up, I'm ready. This is how it works. This is how it works. So now all you do is place tips of different ways to solve certain things. Now this is really powerful, and I'm probably going to talk about this in a different audio, but once you have the content, you place it in front of where they're searching or where they're hanging, and that is how you get people to subscribe, to engage, and to buy from you.
It is not a difficult concept. Three questions, and that's it, and you start beginning to take your business to the next level. What are they again? Number one, what problems does your service solve? Number two, who has those problems?
Number three, where do those people hang out? It's my favorite one. Where are they hanging out? Once you have the answers to those three questions, it is your duty and obligation to create the content necessary in front of them that they're able to come across to then click on your link in your capture page, go through your funnel, read your emails, and eventually buy. Guys, the game is simple.
Let's not complicate it. Do it. It is not a difficult thing. You do this every single day, every single day, even if you don't get a result right away. Just keep doing it.
I'm telling you, this is one of those things where the actions is not the problem. It's the people that don't keep doing them. You've got to stay consistent, answering those three questions and marketing it this way. If you ever feel unclear at any moment throughout your marketing campaigns, stop it real quick, ask yourself those three questions again, and immediately clarity sets in. I mean, how many of you, be honest, how many of you right now are honestly feeling clear?
Like total clarity, wow, Cassandra, I know exactly what I need to do, I know what content I need to create, I know where exactly I need to place it, I am ready to rock and roll. How many of you feel like that? When was the last time you felt like that? Man, I am excited for those of you who feel this way.
