Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.

To see our full income disclosure, please visit our website at www.empowernetwork.com forward slash income dot php. Hey folks, this is Dave Wood. I apologize for getting started a couple minutes late here. I was actually, funny enough, on the line like five minutes early, but I was waiting to be introduced by my good friend Justin Marengia, who like me, sometimes magically doesn't show up to stuff on time. So I've got Travis Reagan who heads up some of the organizational side of our marketing here at Empower Network, tracking him down and finding out where he is.

He's probably actually transported to another dimension. If you guys know Justin, you'll know what I mean. Guys, I wanted to just first of all congratulate you for being on the call tonight. I appreciate all of you. It's been too long since I've been on one of these Monday calls and just kind of ranted and raved.

Hold on just one second. Got some coffee here. Today I kind of wanted to do that, and I kind of wanted to talk about the future and the direction of where we're going here at Empower. I also wanted to just make a very cool announcement that I'm going to be making here probably somewhere in the next 30 or 45 minutes. You're going to have to stick around on the call to find out why I'm so excited.

But what I wanted to do to start this call off is I wanted to just talk about, kind of a little bit about my journey over the last four years and some of the things that I've learned that have helped me along the way and how that led to Empower Network and where I believe Empower Network is going in the future. Just really quickly, I want to make sure that I can be heard okay. So Travis, if you're on the call and if you can hear me, if you could just send me a text or if one of the guys who has my cell phone number, if you could just send me a text, let me know that I'm on. I'm just going to keep going. I'll wait for just a second here.

Okay, we're good to go. So guys, I got started in the home business industry. This is going back a long time, in 2002. My story is like this. I had been on a mission trip over in the British Midlands.

I grew up in a Mormon family, and I don't know if you guys know any Latter-day Saints, great people. They kind of train their kids real well from the time they're tiny, tiny kids that they're going to grow up and be missionaries one day, and it's the best thing ever. When I was 19 years old, I went on a mission trip over to the British Midlands, which is probably about the most unopened group of people to religion on the planet, aside from certain parts of North America. I knocked on doors and kind of wandered around in street corners, and I talked to people about God for two years. When I was done with that, I got back to the United States, and I needed something to do with my life.

I decided I didn't like school because I had kind of failed my way through high school. I had graduated with just the exact amount of credits to graduate. I had never really gotten along well with just the traditional education system. I didn't have any credentials. I didn't have any contacts into the town that I moved into.

In fact, the only guy that I knew in the town that I moved into was my brother Will, and he at the time was studying for a master's degree in international business in a school called Thunderbird International School of Business. So he was doing that full-time, in school full-time, and part-time he was building a side business with a little network marketing company that you'd all know if I said the name, actually the largest network marketing company in the world. One day he invited me over to a meeting that he was doing. Now my brother showed up dressed in a suit and a tie, wheeled in a whiteboard to this meeting, and then he got up. I don't know if it was just that he's as spacey as I am, or that we're brothers, or what happened, but he got up there and he told stories for about four hours.

And to be honest with you, I'm not really sure what he talked about, and I'm not really sure how he described it, and I'm not really sure why I got excited, but all I could remember is staring into that whiteboard in 2002, kind of passing out from the story after story after story, because it just kept going on and on and on and on. And I was staring into that whiteboard at the end when he started to talk about the money and the lifestyle and how it all came together. And I remember he drew out this picture where he said, if you get five people and they get five people and they get five people and they get five people, and the exponential math started to expand in my mind as I stared at the whiteboard. And I stared up there and I thought back to when I grew up and how all my friends and how my parents and all the people that I knew had to work to create money. And I stared at this board and I saw a way where I could build a business that started expanding across my city and then started expanding across my state and then started expanding across the country.

And there could be a day, one day, when I could build a business that like the English Empire, the sun never set on my income. And while I was going to sleep, there could be another person on the other side of the world rising out of his bed going to work. And as he went to work, he could be out there building his dreams and I could be helping him build success and at the same time creating more success for myself. And I fell in love with that vision and I fell in love with that dream. Fortunately it didn't work out too well, so I went out for the next three years basically doing what my brother did, making lists of family and friends who might be interested in side business.

And then I went out wandering around looking for people that might be interested in side business. I prospected strangers. I passed out flyers. I put flyers on walls. I put flyers on poles.

I wandered around. I bought leads. I wandered around more. I talked to my family again. I joined another deal and I talked to them again, and I joined another deal and I talked to them again.

And to be honest with you, I'm not sure why I didn't quit when I look back and how miserable – Hey, what's up man? How are you doing? I was on the wrong planet. It was something just totally weird going on the wrong line. And I just wanted to apologize.

And I know I'm interrupting here, but do you want me to still kind of share some things that were on my mind? Yeah, dude. Well, here's what I want to do actually. Guys, I'm going to come back to that story. And that's a great way to interrupt and just a great way to do an open loop.

And I'm going to come back in about, I don't know, however long Justin is talking. I'm going to finish the story of kind of what happened to me. But what I really want to share is kind of how that has expanded over the years after I finally figured it out. And this is what I'm going to get back to later is how I finally figured it out in 2009. And then not only did I figure it out, I figured out how to transfer the ability to do what I was doing to other people.

And that's really where Justin comes in, because Justin is not only a great friend, not only a great leader here in Power Network, but he is a direct result of the vision of what this company really is here to be. And what he's been able to do can be done by anybody on the call. So with that being said, Justin, over to you. Share your story. I'm going to do a massive interrupt in my story, and people will just have to stick around to hear the end of it.

Over to you, pal. That was awesome, man. I always appreciate it. It's such a humbling experience to even share the same phone call with you, because I remember two years ago plugging in like my first in Power Hours, just fantasizing of a vision and a dream. And this is back before I really had two nickels to rub together.

I really started with $25 and a dream. And I feel the reason that dream came to fruition and being at the right place at the right time and all these magical omens from the universe just downloading, I believe because it's the success rituals that we create, which are daily disciplines that we do on a day-to-day basis. I also believe the reason why I failed for five years before massively succeeding here, I just want to share something about mindset, because I believe that really success is at least 95% mental, in the brain. And let me share what I'm talking about. Five years ago, or seven years ago now, I had a dream of vision and freedom, right?

And I've gone through some really crappy circumstances, just like everyone else in their lives. But I always kept the dream, even after failing year after year, after year after year, because I had the mindset, and this is just the way that I'm built, and I believe that the human soul is like this, because we're here to basically be master co-creators or manifestors, or whomever you refer to yourself as. I believe that we're here for a divine purpose, is what I'm trying to say. So every time I'd fail, this is how the train of thought, right? Feeling.

Now I want that dream ten times more, right? And then I'd go fail again with the dream, and then I'd want my dream ten times more, right? And again, just channeling the energy in the right way due to mindset, I knew eventually, someday, somehow, I would be successful, and I didn't care that I was $500,000 in debt in the past. I didn't care that I'd been kicked out of MLM deals for being different. I didn't care about how many people told me no, or slammed the door in my face when I used to prospect from door to door, going house to house, because I realized it was a numbers game.

I'm like, if I just talk to thousands of people, somebody is going to join me, right? Because that's the type of training that I was taught back then, right? One of the aha moments is when I met David Wood. And Dave would tell me, because he'd ask me, like, what are you doing to build your business? And I'm like, I generate the leads online.

I always thought I was so clever, because I've been generating leads online for a while now. And I'd collect the name, email, and phone number, and then I'd pick up the phone. And, you know, Monday through Friday, and sometimes Saturdays as well, I would call the leads that opted in. I usually get like 10, 12 opt-in leads. And if you call 12 people that are requesting to join a business or for more information or more help or whatever, once you get good on the phone, it's not hard to be able to build a business that way.

Okay, now here's the thing. It worked, but Dave realized how self-limiting it was to my potential. So when he told me, he said, Justin, I've told you once before, and I'm just going to tell you one more time, and you'll never hear me say this again, but he said, put down the phone, pick up the paycheck. What did he mean by that? Well, here's the thing.

Time is linear, I guess, in this society, I guess. The way that we get paid according to how many hours we can put into a day at a job. So I realized that I can only speak to so many people a day on a phone without going crazy and without, you know, getting into bad situations in life from getting obsessed from being on a phone 24-7. So he told me, Justin, you can shoot a video. You can get very clear on your vision and your dream and speak life into that video camera and speak into it as if it's your best friend.

Just be you. Be yourself, right? And what did I do? I started to shoot videos, speak my vision, speak my dream, get crystal clear, upload them, and David Wood was absolutely right because hundreds of people started to watch my videos while I was sleeping and I wasn't picking up the phone in my sleep. So I finally got my life back, right?

And being able to go to the beach, you know, for the day or go hang out on a boat or go do something super fun, something romantic with your spouse and to not have to work but to create an income based upon the value that you're delivering to the marketplace. See, in society, they like to tell you're worth $10 an hour for this job or you're worth $8 an hour for this job. I don't believe in that. I believe that you're worth however much you determine that you're worth and what does our business model do for us? It allows us to get paid accordingly to what the value is that we provide to the marketplace.

And FYI, there's no income guarantees. The only thing that you can guarantee in life is the value you choose that you're worth to the marketplace. And I believe that's fair. Because I believe regardless of what you think you're worth, it's true. Therefore, if you believe, because the power of perception and belief, right?

It manipulates our future and creates basically our future story which we get to write and craft depending upon our success rituals. And some of the success rituals that Dave has taught me that I started applying two years ago with consistency that I also believe I can accredit to our massive success here out of like nowhere is I'm just going to share just a few of them right here that come to mind. Reading daily. You know, when I first met Dave Wood, I remember actually flying down to his house after the event because I went to the event and I showed up and did what he told me to do. He invited me to like this raw food retreat and to hang out in his mansion in the mountains of Costa Rica.

And I remember when I knocked on the door, I remember the maid or someone opened the door and I saw Dave right there and he was reading a book. It was The Tipping Point, right? That was the name of the book. And so this is a guy who reads more than anybody I know, just being honest. I don't have anyone in my family that reads as much as David Wood.

And Dave Wood, when I walked through that door, he greeted me, gave me a hug, said, you know, welcome brother. He said, here's a book. He's like, I read this like two or three times or four times already and now I want to give it to you. And I'll tell you, my best friend is somebody who will give me a book that I haven't read before because I realized that leaders are readers. I'll say that again.

Leaders are readers. Now, there's something magical when you do that success ritual every day. It expands the imagination. It expands just creativity. It allows you to basically grow into something greater than what you are right now.

And I believe that the imagination is like a muscle. The more that you exercise, the more that you work it out, the bigger and stronger that it gets. And I also believe your imagination is in direct correlation to universal intelligence via the law of attraction. So if you believe in the law of attraction, exercise your imagination by reading daily. It's so essential and so many people don't do it.

I was reading these shocking statistics and somebody shared it on Facebook on a post and it had a credible source. I just don't know off the top of my head being a hippie Jedi and all that. But it said something along the lines of like 40 or 50% of Americans, I think it was 50-something percent, haven't picked up a book in the last five years. And something like 40-something percent of the people don't even read books after they graduate school. They just stop growing in their personal development.

And I believe that's where the imagination stops to grow and I believe that's where people start to get very content in their life with what they have. Now, I'm not knocking anything. I believe in free will and I believe regardless of what you want in life, I want to help you get that. So if that's working a 9-to-5 where a boss tells you're worth so much and you can move up the ladder until you're eventually making too much and they decide to fire you to hire some new blood and pay them a lot less, you know what I mean, so they can maximize their profits, if that's what you want, then by all means, do it. But no one's stopping you from that.

However, if you desire something different, like my wife and I, after failing online for five years, trying to create this freedom in our lives, because we had big dreams, we dreamed in being able to do things like shift consciousness, which, believe it or not, is what we get to do because of the influence that we have, thanks to this freedom community here inside the Empower Network, brought another dream into fruition. But we had big dreams for humanity, however, we were struggling ourselves. However, we decided to empty our cup, forget everything that all our sponsors and mentors in the past have taught us, because they got us where we were at, and decided to just choose a mentor, listen to exact... because Dave was not just like preaching the dream and like every other mentor living the nightmare, I got around him. He was living the dream and he never got on his computer the whole time I was with him in the raw food retreat.

The only time was to refresh the back office to see how much in commissions the company has earned and the people, the affiliates have earned, and we would just be there staring at his computer. And he'd just be like, how cool is that? He just hits the refresh button. Ain't that cool? I'm like, dude, hit it again.

And it's like, boom, another $15,000. And just, why is that? Because I believe that something different and something special about what we're a part of here. You see, people need to realize the reason that Dave and Dave created this wasn't for themselves. Their dream wasn't to become the richest CEOs or the richest company owners in the world.

Their dream was to cultivate the richest team. You feel me on that? That's why they decided to do some crazy things, especially in the beginning, they decided to pay out 100% commissions, and I don't even believe there was an affiliate fee back then because they said, we only want to get paid the same way that everyone else is going to get paid, and we want this to be your business, so we're just going to give you everything. And then I think after a year or half a year or so, they realized if we don't charge an affiliate fee, there's no way that we can sustain the business because it'd be costing us all this money out of our affiliate commissions, and then the affiliates, like Justin and Tracy and Tony and everyone, they'd be making a lot more money than we would be able to, right? So here, what's different, it's an equal playing field where people lock arms with us just like I was.

I was in, just to be truthful, I was in a network marketing deal when I joined the Empower Network, and the only reason I joined, it was to have a tool such as a blog where my team members would be able to use that blog to build their business because I realized the played out old school network marketing methods that were being preached, such as the three way calls, the prospecting on the phone, the making the warm list of family and everyone you knew and jogging your memory and all that crap just straight up didn't work, and I felt more confident. and teaching my team something like blogging, which I've been generating leads for years online, just not a lot of them because I didn't have the right blog, I didn't have it set up the right way, I invested hundreds of dollars and never worked the right way. So when I saw for $25 that anybody on my team can have the same power to blog and share their visions and speak their dreams and tap into targeted markets like, you know, Dave and the leaders teach us here, I realized that we were on to something. I realized that every professional, every business owner, everyone with a hobby, everyone with a passion to share, everyone that has a vision or a dream needs a blog. And if you don't have a blog, what the heck are you doing with your life?

Did you know that you can not only live your dream by using a blog, but that you can empower and inspire thousands, maybe even millions of people and that one person has, think about this, one person like David Wood or David Sharp, they've been able to influence millions of people. The power of one person stepping up to their higher power and deciding to just give back and to teach others what they knew, right? So that's how we feel right now, my wife and I and everyone here that's a part of the community that have been to the events and they witness what goes on, they realize that this is something different, that this is something special and that's why we have the most diehard community of lightworkers, I believe, to ever exist. I've never seen any company accomplish what the Empower Network has accomplished, paying out over $60 million in commissions. I've never heard of that.

I've never seen, you know, I think this week there's like two or three new million dollar earners, you know, since Tracy got her million dollar earners ring in, I believe we were in just in Miami. Now there's John Rose as a millionaire, congratulations brother, I should say million dollar earner, congrats. Chuck Marshall, million dollar earner, congrats, that's like two this week. So there's something happening, right? There's not just one or two people succeeding, you know, you go to our events and, you know, they like to do these commission countdowns and to just witness literally thousands of people in the room stand up and say, yeah, we've earned a commission, I just scratched my head because I remember being at one network marketing event, it was the only other one I went to besides Empower Network, it was in this, it was actually the first company I was ever with seven years ago and I am telling you, I was bored out of my mind, I, it just, there's something different here is all I can say and just one more little testimony on that.

I have some team members, the Unstoppable family, right? A lot of people are in situations like the Connects were, where they just got out of bankruptcy, right, and they're just looking for a better way to turn their life around and now they've, you know, generated I believe like over a half million dollars or something redonkulous like that and again, we can't guarantee any income and we do have an income disclosure that anybody can see on any page of the website and I recommend checking it out. I also recognize something, Dave, I've never heard of another company actually disclose income earnings and I start to think about that and I'm like, why is that? And maybe because most of the people never earn a commission, right, so it just wouldn't look so sexy if they actually revealed that sort of stuff, so that's just another thing that makes us so different, man. We were just stuck at a level and we didn't know how to get to that next level.

Due to being, I'm the same guy where the last two deals I was in, they took away my pay because I just was doing things different and teaching my team to, you know, market on the internet versus to buy the kits and the DVDs and to hand them out to their friends and family because I just said, personally, if I'm unwilling to talk to my friends and family because I've been there and done that and I have no interest in turning my family into entrepreneurs, why in the hell would I teach other people to do that? How would I be able to teach them to do that and sleep at night? There's just no way. So I just always went against the grain and always just did what I felt was right in my heart, right? And that's what separates this company from every other company.

They say, Justin, I want you to be yourself. I want you to say what's on your mind. I want you to be you and be the best version of yourself that you can possibly be. Instead of trying to form and mold me into this person, I'm just not, right? And what happens when you try to mold somebody, it usually doesn't work, right?

It turns people against it. The same way with marketing and psychology. If it's your idea that the opportunity is great versus them finding and coming to you, you have no leverage and they're probably not going to be interested in what you're doing. And I know that from firsthand because, you know, when I got into this industry, all I did was, like, speak to people and get them to opportunity meetings and go door to door and prospect at Walmarts and do some redonkulous things that most of the population would ever do. And I realized that if prospecting in the flesh, you have to form them.

You got to find out, you know, I learned this from Danny Johnson. You know, I was trying to learn the secrets even back then. And she's like, talk, ask them about their family, right? Just think of the word form, F-O-R-M. She said, talk about family, then their occupation.

What do you do for a living? Then ask them recreation. What do you like to do for fun? And then deliver them the message based upon them selling themselves and telling you what they want, right? Like if, for example, they said, I just love hanging around other people and, you know, right now I work as a manager for Walmart but I just, it's not where I would like to be.

And then you reframe it and you say, what if I can show you a way where you didn't have to change what you're doing with very minimal risk and be able to, you know, have fun, hang out with other people, and get paid to help others? Would that be of interest to you? And believe it or not, this is how to actually get prospecting in the flesh to work because when you're a complete stranger and you ask somebody, are you interested in my deal? Are you looking to make some extra money? You're looking pretty sharp there, kid.

And you don't have a relationship. They just look at you like you're crazy and they run the other way because it's, you know, have you ever gone to a stranger and said you want to join my business? It just sounds ridiculous. It's just something you don't do. And I realized we can apply what we learned in this industry on the internet the way Dave and Dave have taught us, right?

And be able to accomplish the same thing doing a lot less because now we create the content one time and it's like we create a clone replica of ourselves and that clone replica via the blog or via a video or a Facebook post is going to be on the internet forever, right? And you just replicated your energy and you can replicate your energy every day, every day, every day and people are finding you and because they're seeking you out via attraction marketing, they're interested in what you have versus the other way and doing it all the opposite. And I know I can ramble on, you know, a million miles per minute, Dave, so I want you to jump in here and I just want to say I appreciate you brother, you know, being at that event and getting a million dollar earner ring and, you know, we actually got so emotional we just started tearing up. You handing the watch to us and saying this is a symbol that if a person has, you said, for everyone in the room that has a dream, they can accomplish it and do great things and I do believe that to be true. I do believe that the potential of humanity overwhelms me with love and joy because I see potential in everybody including the people at the bottom.

Some people say in the power structure of life only the people at top have the power, but I beg to differ. I believe it's the people at the bottom that keep the people on top and that the people on the bottom have the power because the minute they decide to move, the people at the top, the gurus and the forces of evil, they collapse, right? So we can create this conscious awareness. We can teach people how to be free. We can teach people how to make money online.

We can teach people to spend more time with their family. We just had our, you know, our baby just like Dave had his baby a couple weeks ago. We just had our baby Jedi on the 11th on my birthday. It was the greatest gift, you know, God could deliver and just feel so blessed knowing that I'll never have to send that kid to daycare. I'll never have to send that kid to a public school, right?

I'll never have to do things that I don't believe are in the best interest of my kid because I have that freedom thanks to this community and this is a freedom that I believe is priceless. I believe it's worth fighting your whole life to spend more time with your family, right? And to be able to do something about it now and make it count now, realizing that now within the next 30 days you can make a transformational shift in your life if you apply what my mentor and dear friend Dave Wood is about to share with you because I am telling you, listen and take notes because if you apply it, you may just be, you know, the next Tracy Walker. You may just be the next Tony Rush or Dave Varengia or Vic Strishaus. I believe it's possible for each and every one of you and I want you to truly believe that because I believe that from the bottom of my soul.

So come on out, brother. Hey Justin, well great stuff man. You just jacked me up. So guys, here's what I'm going to do. And Justin, I want you to stick on here because I'm going to bring you out from time to time in this.

What I want to do is I just want to make my announcement because it's been like 40 minutes. We started like 3 minutes late. And then I'm going to go back to my stories and rant and rave a little bit because I figured that's better so you don't have to wait here for like 2 hours to hear the announcement. So here's basically what I decided to do. And this is from a lot of feedback from different people in the leadership council that we've got.

And this is after a lot of thinking about really going back towards how can we make it to where people make more money, not just to where it's easier to bring people in, but also to where it's easier to get them to purchase more of the products here at Empower Network because obviously this is an affiliate call. So as you're out here, the more products somebody purchases, the more money that you're going to make. And generally, the more products somebody purchases here at Empower, the longer they stick around. And I believe that's because of the value that we give in our products. If we look at the people that have created the most success that have stuck around the longest, they're the people that have bought the most products here at Empower and have utilized them the most.

So here's what we're going to do. We're going to reorganize the sales funnel a little bit. A lot of you guys, and I hope you're excited about this, you've seen the new sales video that I put up last Friday on of course hitting perfectly on Valentine's Day. And a lot of you guys have watched that video. If you haven't watched the new sales video, I want you to go and I want you to watch that video because it's more than just a sales video.

There's a lot more things in it than just trying to sell. There's vision casting in it. It tells about the direction that we're going to go. It talks about the future of the company. It preframes the other products that we have at Empower Network.

It is completely superior to anything that we've ever put up there. And those of you who are in, those of you who are reps and affiliates, you should get really excited after you see it. If you're not in, I would challenge you to watch that video without having the very strong desire to just pull out your credit card and buy it on the spot. It's going to be a very difficult thing to do. So go watch the sales video.

Well, in addition to the sales video, we realize that we're a lot better at selling stuff now than we were two years ago. It's kind of funny. If I look back at 2013, our company went from $30 million in sales to $63 million, $30 million in 20. It was right around $30 million. Don't quote me exactly because I need to dig up the actual numbers.

But it was right around $30 million in 2012. And then in 2013, one year later, we didn't launch any new products except for of course the Blog Beast at the end of the year which didn't increase sales. We didn't launch any new products, and we didn't change anything in the funnels. And in the course of 2013, we doubled from $30 million in sales to $63 million in sales in 2013. We learned a lot.

We learned a lot about how to do events. We learned a lot about how to not do events. We learned a lot about how to make products. We learned a lot about how not to make products. We learned a lot about how to make technology, and we learned a whole lot about how to not make technology.

We learned some cool things, but one of the things that we learned more than more than I think any other lesson that we could have possibly learned is we learned what really makes a power network go. We did that by seeing the things that we've done well, and then by trying to do it in a different way, and seeing how trying to do it in a different way didn't work as well as the original way. So we looked at that, and we looked at all the things that we've been doing, and all the videos that we've made, and all the funnels that we've made, and the messaging that we've made, and we said, this is the engine that built in Power Network. When we looked at that engine, we looked at the videos, we looked at the content, we just said, gosh, we're a lot better today. So we're in the process of not just rebuilding our sales funnels.

I'm going to actually have new funnels up for every single one of our products within 10 days. I just built a new one today for Viral Blogging Academy, something that we've never had in the funnel before. We're going to have new funnels up within 10 days, and then we're going to go back and remake each of them individually to make them to where those of you who are sending traffic and customers to Empower Network, you're just going to keep making more, and more, and more, and more, and more, and more money from the same amount of people who are coming in because of what we're doing. So I want you guys to get excited about that, to know that our minds are aimed in the same direction that the core desire here of the company is the core desire that it started with, which is how can we help you to make more money in your business with less effort, with more focused energy. So here's one of the things that we decided to do.

And this is actually from feedback. You can thank Aaron Rashkin for this. Aaron called me the other week, and he said, you know Dave, I really think that we should change the order of the upsell sequences in Empower Network and put Viral Blogging Academy right after somebody buys the Viral Blogging System. And I said, well, why should we do that? And he said, well, the reason is Dave, is because somebody just bought the Viral Blogging System, and now they want to know how to use it and how to have success with it.

And that product teaches them how to have success with it, and I believe it's going to have an upsell ratio that's significantly higher than the product that we've had there for ages, which is the Inner Circle. And so I said, interesting, okay. I talked about some other people with it, and then I just decided to do it because I thought about it. And I said, well, we could probably get a 33% to 45% upsell going from the blog to Viral Blogging Academy because the two products are completely congruent. So I just made this killer sales video, and I'll bring Justin out to get some feedback on that sales video here in a second.

And so then when we originally created Viral Blogging Academy, we launched it with the Blog Beast launch. And people loved that product. They just got tons of value out of it. We put some bonuses in there. People loved the bonuses.

They thought it was just worth way more than the price of the product. And we did this bonus pool. And in the bonus pool when we did the Blog Beast launch, it was a temporary thing that we injected into the funnel. And we paid out some massive, massive bonuses over that launch to our leaders. I believe Justin actually was a recipient of one of those bonuses.

Justin, what was your bonus from the pool that you fell into in that launch? Do you remember? Justin- Yeah, dude. It was something, don't quote me exactly because I'm the hippie thing here, but about $38,000, something redonkulous. Justin- Correct.

And we've never had something like that before at Empower Network. And so after Aaron suggested that I put that second in the funnel, I looked at that and I said, well, we have this money sitting here that was originally there to of course help feed the company so the company can be successful, but also to create this bonus pool for this bonus payout. And so then I started brainstorming and I said, what kind of bonus could we do just on kind of an ongoing basis that would really, really, really get people excited? And then I pulled out a calculator and I started crunching some numbers, and I just got unbelievably pumped up about what we're going to do. So here's actually what's going to happen.

Starting I believe tonight, and I'm going to tell you guys timelines and all that stuff before the end of the call, so don't get too fizzled out about exact dates and stuff. I'll give you everything here on the call. And it's a little bit different from some of the contests that we've done before. We might make some adjustments to the bonus pool over the course of the next few weeks as we're just tracking data and looking at data. But this is essentially what we've decided to do.

On a weekly cycle we're going to, based on only sign-ups of the blogging system which of course we now have a killer new front-end video, we have a killer front-end video that you guys are all excited about. I actually got an email. I want to read this to you. Hold on a second before I go on. I just want to read this email to you from my buddy Allen.

He says, Hey Dave, congrats on your new son. It's awesome. I want to drop you a quick line and commend you on the new EN sales video. I don't know if you wrote it yourself. It was a team effort, but I believe this is the best sales video I've ever seen for any company.

ever. Few people have been around the industry long enough to recognize all the elements that you've put to work on this. You could be a crackhead with chronic nose picking issues and bowel control problems, and nobody would like you, but God damn Dave, you could put together a killer sales presentation. Kudos. Then he said, I actually stopped promoting in Power Network, but I've begun promoting again as of today.

So people are excited about the video. They are excited about the change in messaging going back not just to our original messaging, but being 100 times better than we were when we created the original messaging in Power Network. We've taken all the scheme units out of it. It's something that professionals are attracted to. We've taken out anything that doesn't appeal to a mass market, and we've left in all the elements that kind of made us who we are and made it better, and it's going to create a lot of movement in the marketplace.

And we're just getting ready to start putting it into some other languages as we're tightening up some of the tech side on that. In any case, let me explain to you how this pool is going to work. It's going to be based on personal production only. And we are going to have 2 sections of it. Number 1, a top 5 prize.

This is going to be every week guys. And we might change it, so take advantage of it now because we're going to watch numbers and make adjustments based on what we need to adjust to look out in the field and produce the behavior that we want to produce which is the more success for everybody we could possibly create. So this is basically the way that it's going to work. And this is the way the pool is going to work. Hold on a second.

The person who brings in the most new blog customers in a week is going to get 30% of the pool. The person who brings in the second most is going to get 12% of it. The person who brings in the third most is going to get 8%. I'm going to break down what these numbers mean for you and give some examples in a second. The person who gives the fourth most members is going to get 6% of it.

The person who gets the fifth most members is going to get 4% of it. And then we have an everybody can win pool. So that's actually 60% in the top 5. And I know some of you say, hey, the top 5 shouldn't get so much. Well, what this is going to do, as you are going to see when I paint out the numbers, is this is going to make the top 5 change a lot.

It's what it's going to do. And I'll talk about why that is in a minute, and why that's exciting stuff. What that does is it leaves 40% to be paid out in a production pool. So here's what we are going to do. You qualify.

If you qualify for one of these pools, you qualify for all of the pools below it. And you also qualify for the pools if you are number 1, or number 2, or number 3, or number 4, or number 5. So 10% of the pool is going to be paid out and divided equally among people who bring in 20 new members a week. 10% of the pool is going to be paid out to people who bring in 15 new members in a week. 10% of the pool is going to be paid out to people who bring in 10 new members in a week.

And 10% of the pool is going to be paid out to people who bring in 5 new members in a week. So that's kind of the structure of the pool. We will obviously put this on a page, and we are going to send out daily emails and updates on kind of who is where in this, and who is where in the contest. You guys see we have like a top sponsorship leaderboard with top 10 positions, but this is just going to make the competition a little bit more fierce for it. Let me explain why, and let me break down the numbers for you.

So what I did was I based this off of like a growth month for us, which is if we are in a growth month we are going to be bringing in anywhere from 300 to 300 to 500 people a day is going to be what the average is. And it depends on what we are doing on our end on how many people are going to buy Viral Blogging Academy. And I encourage us to have a cooperative effort in getting people to buy. But I believe just on my video it's going to be somewhere around 33%. And we are going to make tweaks and adjustments.

And one of the reasons we are doing the contest is so we can have enough member data coming through our system to make the adjustments on that upsell funnel to make sure it's cranking out sales to make sure the bonus pool keeps getting bigger and bigger. So what I did was I did some calculations based off of normal numbers for us. And the first few weeks we do this it might be lower. It might get a lot bigger than this. But let me actually kind of show you how exciting this is and what can happen.

So this is based off of 300 new customers coming in a day for $25 which is normal for us. And then it is based off of a 33% of those members which would be 100 people a day buying Viral Blogging Academy which is also normal for our upsell numbers. Based on the percentages I just quoted you, here is essentially what this would pay out. There would be some variations in this if there are refunds, obviously. So this is all theoretical.

And I don't need to do an income disclosure there. We've said it like 800 times. So this is what it would be. Number 2 prize, 12%. That would be $4,000.

Number 3 prize, that would be 8%. That would be $2,716. Number 4 prize, 6%. That would be $2,000. Number 5, that would be 4%.

That would be $1,358. And then that also leaves the bonus pools below. So in other words, the first prize, and remember this is going to be a weekly cycle that we are going to do for the next while we watch the numbers. And we are going to adjust the program a little bit if we need to, to help promote even more growth. But we actually did this based on a lot of feedback.

Now that leaves 40% of it to be paid out in a production pool. So let me give you an example based on for example, last week's numbers. Last week we had 2 people bring in more than 20 members in a week. Now these numbers are going to increase, because we have an incentive to do it on a weekly basis, more people are going to fall into these different bonus pools. And the pools are also going to start getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger as we march into the future.

And then we had 52 people who would have qualified for the 5-member bonus pool, that would be $75 each. That's just as bonus money that's just paid out. So let me explain that again, and why it's exciting to a lot of people on the call. If you look out there in the Internet space, a really common thing to happen is launch contests. Like if somebody is doing a big ClickShore launch, or a ClickBank launch, or something like that, and they are doing a bigger contest that is attracting a lot of the super affiliates, the number one prize in those contests is usually about $10,000.

It's usually about all it is. Some of the massive ones do contests like we do where it's barely ever, but sometimes it happens in some of the massive contests where you look at the size of the contest, and they are giving out a car, or they are giving out $100,000, or they are giving out $100,000, or something like that. But it's more rare, and we are going to do stuff like that too. But what we are doing essentially here, starting actually today, and today's new member sign-ups count, and that Upsell Funnel is going live tonight, and we will email it out. What we are doing is starting today, we are launching that.

And this is going to be a cycle that is going to go from Monday to Sunday each week. And what we are going to do is each week we are going to announce who the winners are in the top 5. We are going to send out an email that gives recognition to all the people who qualify for a pool. We are going to write a blog post about it and make sure that they are in the blog post. But we are actually going to bring the people out who won the bonus pool and give them some recognition publicly.

And we are going to do it every 7 days. Now why is that exciting? Because of the amounts of the prizes that we have the ability to generate from the size of our community, you guys all are going to have the opportunity to number one, recruit some really talented big list affiliates who don't really want to build a business, but they want to come in and they want to bring in a lot of new members, and they want to earn a big check. Number two, it's going to get the people who can move big numbers in Empower Network competing a little bit fiercely for the top prizes. Obviously there is a big difference in the top prizes.

But number three, what it gives all of you the ability to do is by doing what we teach to tap into the success of the entire company. And what I want to do is just create the coolest recognition program for mid-level to moderate level producers that exist in the direct sales industry in addition to all the other stuff that we are doing because we have the ability to, because of the amount of numbers we move, the amount of success that we have, the amount of incomes that we are creating here at Empower Network. Now in addition to just changing the front end funnel and creating the bonus pool, here's what else we are doing. We brought over Jonathan Cronstead who was the CEO of a well-known marketing company called Digital Marketer. And Jonathan is just a genius at marketing processes and getting things optimized to work the way that we want.

So what we are also doing in addition to creating this bonus pool is we are optimizing everything else in our sales funnel to be able to crank out more sales than you guys have ever been able to crank out in the past from the members that you bring in. My personal commitment and my personal goal to you in 2014 is to look back. Tony Rush saw our new sales video and he said, God, I'm excited about this thing. This looks like the video. This looks like the videos.

And it doesn't just look like the videos. He says, I am pumped about this. So what I've committed to do as a leader here, as the forefront leading the charge is I look back at 2013 and I learned a lot of lessons. A lot of you guys have been following me for a long time. You saw last year I had some weird personal challenges that took my mind off course from where I like it to be.

And I can be honest about that. One thing that we've built our company on is authenticity. When I look back at 2013 it was the most successful year Empower Network has ever had. And we also made some of the biggest flub ups that I've ever done in my life, both myself personally, but also in addition to those flub ups we did some things as experiments that weren't the smartest ideas. And I can look at that and I can say, gosh I learned some good lessons from that, and gosh that was kind of stupid.

And I can look at myself and say that and I can chuckle. And I think most people who have an experience like that, I've been in companies where the owners have done colossal flub ups, excuse the language there, and they never admit it. Whereas I'd like to go out there and I'd like to say, gosh that was dumb. And I like to go back and I like to look at our message. I like to say, what really created the synergy here at Empower Network?

What really created the movement here at Empower Network? What was the real vision here that got us to where we are? And to look into that, to tap back into that, and now with all the things that we've learned, and with all the knowledge that we have, and with all the money that we've got, to go back into that message and to make our company 10 times bigger and 10 times greater. Now here's what I believe is going to happen just as a side effect of the pool. And it's not going to be one of these contests.

Guys, here's the thing. The thing I like about this is when you go into our normal contests, we've had a lot of contests with big prizes. We just gave a Tesla super car to Vic. I gave my watch to Justin Berengi. It was a $39,000 watch.

I actually believe, and I do believe it, that based off of just what we're doing from a sales process perspective and from a recognition perspective, I believe that these prizes are going to go from $5,000 and $6,000 to $11,000 to $20,000. And I believe that based off of what we're doing from a funnel perspective, because I know what it is, I believe that this year just from funnels, just from the processes that we're building and people's efforts, I believe that people are going to create the biggest checks they've ever created here at Empower Network. So that's my big announcement for today. My big announcement is we're creating a bonus pool where you can earn off of the success of the whole company. So what's the focus if you're on this call?

Well, there's a few different categories of people on the call. I realize that not everybody on the call is in a position where you can win first prize this week. Not everybody on this call is in a position where you can earn the top 5 in the next 7 days, in the next 14 days, in the next 30 days. And I realize that, and I know that. And that's okay.

What I want you to do is I want you to focus on just upping your game a little bit. We've got new sales processes. We've got new tools. We're optimizing stuff all over the site right now. We've got like a million awesome projects going that are also going to increase sales.

We have fixed like 99% of the credit card processing issues we've had off and on over the last year. And we have just got a ton of neat stuff happening for affiliates that are helping people to crank out things they've never cranked out before. What I would encourage you to do is this. If you are what I would call a beginner level builder, which is not somebody who has the ability to compete against somebody who has a massive list. It's not somebody who has the ability to go out there and to compete against 200,000 people and win just yet.

You can in the future, but just yet you are not quite there. If you are a moderate level, if you are a beginner level builder, here is what I am going to encourage you to do. No matter what, bring in 5 people this week. Bring in 5 new members. That's just one person a day, 5 days a week.

If you are a moderate level builder, no matter what, bring in 10 people a week, and get into that pool every week. Get your name on that recognition board every single week, and start it with this week, because we are going to recognize the heck out of you if you get into those pools. So get into the 10 people a week. That's been our message since we launched. If you are somebody that can move, get into bringing in 20 members a week.

I looked at last week. There were only a couple of us that did that. And I believe there could be on the call 20, and 30, and 40 of us a week that do that. And I believe that we can make this a massive thing. And I'll tell you what is going to drive our growth, and what is going to drive our success.

It's our message. It's what we started with. It's where we come from. That's what is going to drive it. So that's my announcement.

Now I'm going to go back to my story that I started the call with, because that gets into what is going to drive our growth. So 2002 I get into that company. I join it, and I quit. I join another one, and I quit. And I wander around, and then I quit.

And then I go out there, and I prospect, and I quit. But I never really quit. I just keep changing deals, and keep changing up the story. And I keep doing the same dumb stuff, wandering around, prospecting, pitching my deal on people. I'm not targeting my prospects.

I'm just kind of thrusting my business on people, wandering into a place. And I walk up to a girl, and instead of hitting on her, I said, hey, you keep your business options open. You've got a card. And try to picture my business. That's what I do.

Well, I go in, and I join, and I quit, and I join, and I quit. And then that thing collapsed. And then I go, and I try odd deals, trying to call leads, buying thousands of dollars of leads, going to every trading seminar you could imagine. And then all of a sudden in 2009, I'm on my computer, and I'm mad. I said this in the sales video.

I tell so many stories. Sometimes people say, is that the real story? Is that the real story? And the truth is, it's a combination of all the stories I've told. One thing that I've learned over a long period of time, you can't really compress a year into a two-minute story.

So no matter what, when you tell a story, you're going to tell different parts of it. And I like to tell different parts of the stories all the time, because if you tell different parts all the time, it's the same story, but you can keep it fresh. So one night I'm up in Alaska, and I'm curled up in my bed, and I'm holding onto a pillow, and I'm crying hysterically. It's a true story. And some of you guys have been here, and you never want to admit it.

And I just encourage you to be okay with it, because somebody else on here is thinking I'm a fruitcake. But that's okay. You can think I'm a fruitcake. I'm okay with that, because I look at myself, and I kind of look funny, and sometimes I smell funny. And hey, I'm a little bit of a fruitcake, but at least I'm rich.

So in any case, I'm in my bed, and I'm curled up in this pillow, like hysterical. And the reason was because I felt like I was nobody. I felt like everything in my life had amounted to nothing. I was about ready to quit, and go work for Starbucks or something, and just say, screw it, I'm going to be a raw food hippie, and never make any money at all, and buy the cheap sandals, and maybe I can go live on a beach, and work at a coffee shop close to the beach. That's where I was.

I was really, really, really down on myself, because I had failed so much, and I had just beaten myself up. You know, it's like Justin, where it's like, how do you believe in yourself when everything that you've ever done has failed? How do you believe in yourself when everything you've tried is just you falling on your face? I'll tell you how in a minute, and I'll tell you what happened to me. So I go to my computer, and I start clicking around, and I see this video, and I get on a list, and then forget about it.

And then one day I log into my email, I click on that link, I see a capture page, I see a sales video, and I just buy some. But what I learned in there was I learned something different about how to sell. And this is what had been missing for me, because I never lacked the ability to sell. I never lacked the ability to convince people to do things when I gathered them. What I had a hard time doing was finding the right people to sell, to finding the right people to talk to.

My relatives were burned out. They were like, David, how many deals can you possibly join? How many times can you call me that this is the time you're going to be rich? How many times can you send me a text message and say, hey, are you going to get in this one? Are you going to be in at the top?

I mean, how many times can you say these messages? You ever see these guys on Facebook? It's like you join this one, you're going to be on the top, and you're like, dude, how many times can you do that before you realize it ain't the company's fault, it's you? You know what I mean? So anyways, I'm in this thing, and I see this thing, and I say, holy smokes.

But I learned something different. Here's what I learned. I learned that the difference between being able to really, really, really do sales easily, and I'm not talking about no work. Sometimes people misunderstand me when I say easy. When I say easy, I mean it flows.

You've got to work hard, but it flows. I never want to give you some sort of impression that you're going to get in Power Network, and they aren't going to work involved. Hey folks, I didn't get rich by not working. I got rich by working harder than everybody around me for a long time. Now there's times now when I can take time off, and I can spend more time in personal development and stuff like that, because I've got systems now.

But somebody had to build those systems, and that was me. Somebody had to build those processes, and that was me. Somebody had to work their ass off, and that was me. I don't want to ever give you the impression there's no work. So when I say easy, what I mean is it flows.

It's just like slicing warm butter with a hot knife. That's how it flows. It just goes right through. That's how easy sales is. If you want sales to be like that, you've still got to work to make the sales, but here's how you do it.

You find people who are ready to buy. If you look at the people on this call, for example, this people on the call is a target market. If I popped on here, you guys trust me. You've known me for a long time. You say, Dave, you've made some flop-ups.

Okay, I got you, but you've been here. You've reinvested. You've been here. and again, and again, and again, and I trust you so let's run with this, right? So I get on here and I can sell about anything.

Now as long as I continue to sell products that are valuable, people will keep listening to me. But if I get on here and I start to sell stuff I don't believe in, or if I start to sell products I don't buy, or I'm starting to talk about something but I don't really believe in where we are going, or whatever like that, then eventually people will stop trusting it. But people who are ready to buy, and people who are looking to make a buying decision, people who have problems already that are looking to be solved, people who are looking to solve those problems, they are a target market for that product that solves their problems. So if I can target people that for example, are looking for home business and they are just struggling like I was struggling. They had the same problems I had.

They are looking online and they are saying, gosh this is hard. They are saying, man it is so difficult to prospect my family. Is there another way? They are saying, gosh I'm sick of the phone. The phone like weighs more than it used to weigh.

Gosh, there's got to be a better way to get new people than this. And guys, I'm not saying by the way, when we say this stuff guys, I am not saying don't pick up the phone and call your customers. I just believe that today it is a better model to get new front-end customers at a low cost for something that people will just see a presentation and they will just buy. If you want to call them after that, and you want to help people make decisions and build relationships, I actually think that it is good for your business to do. I think people will stick around in your team longer.

That has been proven for a lot of people here in Empower Network who have done that. And there have been other people who have built it entirely with no phone calls like Tony Rush. So we have a lot of things that work for people here. So we say put down the phone, pick up the paycheck. We are not saying don't communicate with your team.

What we are saying is stop hitting grandma up if she is not interested. For heaven's sake, how many times have you tried that before? It's not that you shouldn't do that. It's that how many times have you tried something and hit your face against a wall before you realized this isn't the best strategy? Does that make sense?

So target marketing, what does that mean? It means somebody is looking for what you've got. Somebody is looking for a solution. Somebody is looking for a way to generate leads. Somebody is looking for a way to make money.

And they've got their credit card in their hand. They are sweating because they are ready to buy. They are on a page like you've been on, like you were on in the order page. And they are looking at the page and they are saying, gosh, I want to buy. That's a target market.

And the closer you can get somebody to a buy-in decision which you can do by targeting, and there are a lot of different ways to target your market, the closer you can target somebody to a decision, the easier they are to sell. So for example, if I go out there and I start marketing and I'm building a list, and all the people on my list are people that are just skeptical. They are just skeptical. They just got scammed too many times. They are skeptical.

Well, guess how much stuff I'm going to sell? I'm going to sell about as much stuff as if I'm in a room full of old people crossing their legs and rolling their eyes because they all think it's a pyramid scheme which is nothing. I might get one in the room. That's why a lot of people, if you see people online, what do the complainers online make? We've got all these guys with these niche blogs and they go online and they complain about everything.

And they say, oh, this is a scam. Let me write you why. And that's a scam, and let me tell you why. And this is a scam, and let me tell you why. And they get so many people to their site it's ungodly.

You look at their site and you're like, oh, I'm jealous. Because they are getting all the other people who love to complain about stuff together. But what's the problem about people who like to complain about stuff? They are a great target market of people who will not spend any money ever because they are skeptical about everything. So these people are out there.

They are building lists of people who hate to buy. Not the smartest kind of list to build. But what about if instead you just tweak something a little bit, and all of a sudden you start attracting people like Justin Berengia. I mean, he's working. Gosh, when I met Justin Berengia, guys, it wasn't just randomly Amy out there.

I wasn't just randomly inviting some guy to my house. I saw Justin Berengia, and there is hunger in his eyes, man. I saw Justin Berengia and I said, he wants it. I saw Justin Berengia and I said, this is a man with passion. I saw Justin Berengia and I said, this is a man who won't quit.

He's like me. I saw Justin Berengia and I said, here is a man with a gift inside. He just needs to know the way. He just needs to be pointed in the right direction. Folks, that's a target market.

So the closer you can get somebody to a buying decision, the easier they are to sell. If they've got their credit card in hand and they are looking to buy already, obviously they are going to be easier to sell than somebody who has got their credit card four miles away because they are so afraid of buying something, and they are so skeptical about everything, and they are afraid of being scammed again. Those people are going to be really difficult to sell. Does that make sense? Are you on the call?

So all of a sudden, 2009, I took all these skills that I had learned. I had done tons of presentations. My God, I had done lots of presentations. This is why I can get up and rant and rave like this. I've got notes, but I don't have like 40 pages of notes.

I could talk here for 4 hours. I could talk literally until you guys, you are like, how am I still awake? I'm still excited to be 4 hours from now. I could keep you engaged for 4 hours just talking and ranting and raving. So anyways, I get started on 2009.

And I find out, I said, this is what I can do. I can target people who are looking for what I've got, who are looking for a solution to these problems. And the broader I could make that, and then the more specific I could get within that broad market, I said I can just sell stuff all day and night. And all of a sudden, I went to my best recruiting month ever, ever prior to 2009, ever was 4 people in a month. And this had been after 7 years of direct sales.

This had been after going to conferences with Danny Johnson and learning how to prospect in clothes. This had been after going and seeing people who have 2 million people in their organization and who are billionaires from network marketing. There are a few. This is from going to events every 3 months my entire adult life. My best month ever was 4 people.

My best team ever was 1000 people. And all of a sudden in 2009, I had a new way and that was I'm going to get people at the point of their buying decisions. And then you know what happened? All of a sudden all of these sales skills I learned, all of a sudden they worked. All of a sudden all of this NLP and all of these convincing strategies I learned, all of a sudden they worked.

Hey guys, do you know how sometimes people say, oh that stuff is manipulative. No it's not. It doesn't work on people who don't want it. If you get up in front of a room, do you know how easy it is to hypnotize a room full of skeptics? I'd rather just go to the different room where people aren't skeptical.

Do you know how easy it is, do you know how difficult it is to influence a room full of people who absolutely hate your guts and think they are being scammed? You can't do it. But do you know how easy it is? You don't even need those tricks. You just get in front of the room.

You tell your story. You tell them what they are going to get. You tell them what problems it's going to solve. You tell them what they are going to get again. You tell them what problems it's going to solve again.

You give them some bonuses. You create scarcity. You do call to action. People just pull out their credit card on the spot and they just whip it out and they just join. It's that easy.

So that was the difference. All of a sudden I started recruiting one person a day, two people a day, four people a day. Four people a day. I had months where I recruited more than four people a day into my business for six months straight guys. I was recruiting everybody.

I had this appointment going where I would get people to buy a front end product and then they would get booked into this calendar I had. And then I was calling people back who had already bought something. And I was recruiting 98% of everybody I talked to on the phone in 20 minute conversations with no objections. It was like cut in warm butter with a hot knife. But there is a problem and it comes into a year into my business.

The problem was is people weren't replicating my results. And I didn't really figure out why for a long time because I was like, hey guys I'm telling you what to do. This stuff isn't that complicated. It's not that hard. But then I had to be honest about myself a year or two years into it.

And I had to say what am I actually doing to create this success? And the truth was what I was doing had a lot of moving parts to it. It wasn't that somebody couldn't learn it. It was just there was a lot of moving parts. They had to set up a blog.

They had to set up sales funnels. They had to know how to sell. And when I was honest and I looked at my team there were a lot of good people who were really talented who couldn't learn how to sell later. But the truth is most people can't sell. I remember listening to a Jeff Olson training.

He actually owns a company called Nerium right now. They sell lotion or something like that. And this is back in the days when he was doing training for a legal services company. He had this training called PowerTrain. It's really good stuff.

And he talked about in his training how he said if what you are doing is dependent on people's ability to sell, your organization will never duplicate. The reason is he said because 99% of the population they can't sell. You give them a script. You tell them what to do. You give them a presentation.

They get up in front of the room. If you are depending on them to do the presentation to close people in the room, you are going to build a group that is limited to the 1% who already have the ability to sell. He said, but if you take that equation out and you say, here is a system that you could use and here is a way you can sell without being a sales guy. You can just go to work. He said all of a sudden that can grow 5 generations down in another state in another country and start duplicating because all of a sudden all the people can have success to a certain level who can't sell.

Obviously they need to learn to sell eventually. He said, but you need to create systems for that, duplication systems. So I looked into what I was actually doing. I said, how can I systematize this process? How can I make it to where somebody can get the kind of sales results that I have which are abnormal, and they can just utilize my skill sets, and they can just utilize my passion, my energy, my ability, and they can just plug people in and start getting results.

That idea birthed Empower Network because we were able to systematize what I was doing and what Dave Sharp was doing together to make it to where all of a sudden people could reproduce our results to a level without really knowing why. Well, there are some good things to that and there are also some problems with that. The benefit of that is we have people making money in Empower. And to be honest with you, to be truthful with you, some of you are them. And I may be talking to you.

I might not. You are making money and you have no idea why. You are like, well, I sent somebody in. I can't figure out why. Most of you don't understand how the comp plan works here, how the coded bonus system works.

We are going away from using the word pass-ups because we don't really have a pass-up plan. We are going to start calling them coded bonuses instead. It is more true to what they are. But some of you guys have no clue how it works. Where did this commission come from?

Shaq was surprised when he came in Empower Network. Now he is a million-dollar earner too. We've got 10 of them now. The sales video is actually out of date. I need to re-record it.

We've got 10 of them. We created 2 last week. Shaq is our million-dollar earner, Shakir. And he came in and he threw a bunch of people. And 6 months later he is like, God, why am I still making money from this thing?

This doesn't happen on ClickBank. And I keep making more and more. What's going on? He came to our events and met some of his team, people who had been on his list for years who were having success in this thing and he just slammed his list into it. He's like, gosh, how is that working?

For heaven's sakes, people are making it here. So a lot of people in Empower, they are having more success than they imagined, and they don't really know why they are having it. They have no clue why they are having it. They don't know why the success is there. Well, the benefit of that is we have a lot of successful people.

The downside of that is sometimes if something happens, or one of our processes doesn't work the way that it was working a month ago, which occasionally has happened when we've tried something, somebody's income will go down, and they have no clue why it went down, because they didn't know why it was there in the first place, so they don't know how to repair it. Because they were having success based off of the system and hard work. They had to work. When we look at Empower, one of the things we've got to get away from, I believe guys, if we want to get big, real big, this goes back to this contest, here's what we've got to get away from. We've got to get away from this notion you don't have to work.

I was actually talking to a friend who put something critical up on Facebook the other day, and he took it down. But I called him up and I said, dude, what's the deal? And he said, you know, I'm just disconnected, man, from these messages where it's like you don't have to work. And I started thinking about that. I'm like, you know, I'm not meaning to come across like that, actually.

Because the truth is, although we might be creating something relatively much more simplistic, and it is easier in the sense that it flows better than something else, nobody in Empower Network who's making lots of money is work-free. I mean, ask yourself, do you think Vic Strishaus works? Yeah. I don't think he works as much as the doctor works. Do you think Tony Rush works?

I mean, come on, guys. Maybe he works more part-time. Maybe he works smarter. But God, he works. He works with his mind.

Do you think Justin Berengia works? He talks about this. Do you think we're promoting a message of laziness? I mean, the universe doesn't reward laziness, guys. You know what I mean?

It just doesn't. It doesn't reward laziness. We've got to get away from that message because it's not accurate. What we want to go instead is we want to say, this is the solution to your problems. This is the future.

This is what we're doing. Yes, it is simpler, and this is what you have to do, but you're going to have to do it if you want to succeed. You're going to have to work for it if you want to have success. And there might be a time in your life where you need to do whatever it takes to have success. You know what I mean?

Some of you think, guys, the thing that's missing from you, honestly, is where is the part of your soul that's willing to do whatever it takes for your family? I don't know about you guys, but I've got a couple of kids. I just had a kid, but I've also got another kid because the gal I'm with, she's got another kid. And he's my kid now. He's my son now.

So I've got two kids to take care of. Some of you guys need some motivation to get out there in the marketplace. You need some motivation to get out there in the marketplace and to be honest about yourself that are you willing to do whatever it takes? And some of you guys have been avoiding everything that you know you need to do in order to have the success that you want. You've been avoiding it, and because you've been avoiding it, you're not producing any results, and you're wondering why, but you're not really wondering what you're really doing is feeling guilty for not doing whatever it takes.

So we want to incentivize you. So coming back to now, we invent this process, and it's based off of this successful thing, and it just moves on its own. It's like miracles, man. It's almost like if God invented a business that just spit out sales for people, it was in Power Network. We had people who had never had success in their life not knowing what to do with themselves.

We grew so fast we had merchant issues. I didn't even know those could exist. I just thought credit card companies let people take credit cards for whatever they wanted and never checked on it. I didn't know that if you had a website that people couldn't really tell what it was that made banks mad, so then we had to make it clear what we were selling. We had to put stuff on websites that made sense for banks, and then we had to prove ourselves and now we don't have any merchant problems anymore, because we have a really, really long history of very low refunds, of almost no complaints, of unbelievably low chargebacks in Power Network.

We've got history now, so now it's easy. I had to rebuild my credit, because I was like, what do you mean you need credit for this stuff? I decided to clean up my homeless credit from years before. So now we've got a credible company. We've got an incredible CEO.

But then it grew so well, it grew so fast that come 2013, I don't need to change anything. I don't need to change videos. I don't need to make new sales messages. This thing is just cranking and moving on its own without us needing to do anything. At the same time, I run into some challenges in my personal life.

Now I'm bringing this up and being honest about it, and here's why. Because I look at myself, and people can say what they want to say, but the truth is, is now I was really nervous when I was having some challenges. I had to go through therapy. I'm going to be honest with you guys. I had to go through therapy for it.

My heart was all messed up. I didn't know what to do. Some of you guys know the story. Some of you don't. For those of you who don't, I'll just not tell the story.

But I was having some challenges. But then I came out and I told people about it. The overwhelming response was, Dave, take care of yourself. We love you. And you know what?

I went and I was getting therapy and stuff for a month, just overcoming my hurdles I had inside my own heart, and Empower Network grew. Often this therapy center, Dave Sharpe had recommended me go through this thing. And I was there and I was like, holy crap, this thing is amazing. But then we come out and we said, okay, let's kind of change around what we're doing a little bit and try this message out. Well, that message didn't work the way our original messaging was working.

It just didn't. I'm going to be honest with you guys about that, because I look at it and I say, I look at it and in one sense I say, God, that was a great experiment, and that just kind of proves what we're doing and the way that it was working had a magic to it. And in another sense I say that was dumb, but I actually don't think it was dumb. And the reason I don't think it is because it helped us clarify who we are and who we're not. Because if we look back at the past and we look at the things that we did well, and we look at the mistakes in the past, we could look at the mistakes and we could say, gosh, we shouldn't have done those.

Or we could look at those and we could say, gosh, doesn't that really clarify who we really are and what we're really about? Doesn't that really kind of clarify our destiny a little bit and tell us what this group of people has the potential of doing when we're doing things in the way that created the magic? Doesn't that really kind of show us where our skill sets lie and what we need to be focused on? See, if we got up today and I was on this call and I said, all right guys, here's the deal. We're all joining a vitamin deal tomorrow.

We're all joining a soap and skin hair deal tomorrow. Pull out your pocketbooks and call everybody you know in the phone books. What happened? Well, it's kind of the same thing that happened before I started in Power Network. I was actually in a company.

I'm not going to mention the name or what they sold, so I'm going to make something up just because I love the guys and I want to protect them. But I was in a company. I'll just say they sold plastic dolphins, right, because that's so far off. Nobody could ever figure out what it is. But I was in this deal and I was building and I had these systems that were duplicating on the Internet.

And I had all this team and the success and it was growing and growing and growing and growing. And then I would pump people up every two or three months to bring them to a company event. And I'd bring them to a company event and the company event would sell them for three days about how they needed to make invitation cards, mail the invitation cards out, call all their family and friends, and invite everybody over to a meeting. So let me give you an example of what would happen. We had this lady.

She was super pumped up. I actually don't know if she's in Power Network today. She's a speech therapist lady. She was actually on this testimonial CD. I had these CDs that were going out in the marketplace and I was selling something like 10,000 of them a month were going out in the marketplace.

And people were joining on the Internet getting these CDs and then going and passing and mailing them out. It was the most hilarious thing ever. But in any case, I was doing this thing and it was duplicating. It was growing. I was building a team based on systems.

But then this lady, she comes to the event and it's like unbelievable pressure to make a list of your family and friends, to invite them over to your house for a meeting, and then to get them in the meeting. Because the warm market is the big market which is true, but it's true in a different way today. I'm going to explain how that is in a second. So anyway, they would do this thing. And then this lady got so stressed out.

She's like, I want to build on the Internet, but I want to go big, so I'm going to do this. So the owner of the company booked a meeting in her house. Now he's just commendable for doing that. So he flew from where he was living to where she was living, and booked this meeting. And she sent out like 100 invitations.

And she called people and she slammed for like 5 days. And 4 people showed up. The owner of the company showed up and nobody got in and she quit. So what would happen is people would get excited, start duplicating, and then they would come to these events. And then the events would tell them something they didn't really want to do.

And then when we told them something they didn't really want to do, they would just quit. So that's kind of what happens. When we go away and we look at what our real message is and who we really are, we need to stay true to that. And one thing I do believe that we need to go away from is this whole laziness attitude, this whole attitude of I deserve something I didn't work for. No you don't.

Come on, let's be fair about that. We need to go out there. We need to work. And I believe that's a more honest message. And I believe that we need to be a little bit more ruthless with that, because if we're not, here's what happens.

When I look back at my first 90 days that I was involved with the Internet, I look back and I say, God, holy smokes, look what I accomplished in 90 days. I mean I know people that work for 20 years who don't accomplish what I accomplished in 90 days, because they don't work that hard. I was waking up at 8 in the morning, and I was staying up until 2 in the morning, and I was doing whatever it took. And that's how I created my first burst of success. And if I hadn't done that, I'm going to be honest with you guys, if I had not done that for 90 days, I would never have the success today that I have now.

My success today can be directly traced back to what I did my first 90 days on the Internet. Vicksterous House will tell you the same thing. Justin Berenjia, he can tell you the same thing. All of us who have a high level of success, at one point in our careers, we busted our tails for 90 days or more to create movement. But the things that we didn't do are the things that I hated to do.

I wasn't going out there, and I wasn't slamming people who weren't interested, trying to get them to convince their mind. I was building in a way that was attracting people. See, that's what made Empower Network great. That's what made us who we are. That's what made us to be — when we got started, let me tell you a story about when we got started.

We got started in Empower Network. I remember this, because it was like the most amazing thing ever. Paul Hutchings is a result of the first person I sponsored online. I sponsored a guy named Daniel. Daniel was in college, and Daniel got in and blogged for 90 days in my team.

He set up his own website, and then he quit before it ever really took off. But before he quit, he sponsored Paul Hutchings. Paul Hutchings moved up to me. So anyways, Paul Hutchings is in my organization. He's been in it for years.

He was in one of my businesses, and then he ended up joining something else because it wasn't duplicating the way that he wanted. And we were all looking for the secret for mass duplication back then. It wasn't just me. It wasn't just Paul. We were all doing it.

We were saying, why isn't this duplicating as big as we want? Why isn't it working? So anyways, Paul is in my team. He is floating around forever. And I launch in power.

And Paul doesn't join. And for 5 days I think he didn't join. Well, Paul didn't join for 5 days, but then he hit me up on Skype and he says, Dave, dude, I've got to talk to you. And I pick up the phone and say, what's up? And he says, dude, you are not going to believe what happened.

I said, what happened Paul? And he said, dude, somebody in my hometown just prospected me for a power network. They just prospected me in my own hometown. This is 5 days into launch. I said, they prospected you?

I said, what am I going to do today? He said, they prospected me dude. He said, and this guy is a local MLM leader. And he is well known in the town. He lives in some ghetto town in Idaho that only has potatoes and Mormons or something like that.

So anyways, I said, what's his name? Who is it? And he gave me the guy's name. Now here's the thing. I looked him up in our genealogy.

And we didn't have good genealogy reporting then. I looked him up in our genealogy and said, who is this guy? And I looked him up and I saw who his sponsor was. So I had to check who his sponsor was, and who their sponsor was, and who their sponsor was. So I sat on the phone with Paul Hutchings for about 10 minutes looking where this guy came from.

And he was 10 levels down in 5 days. So in other words, we started a business on the Internet based on this message that went from Bob to Sharon to Susie, blah, blah, blah, but 10 levels down is where somebody phone called and prospected somebody that was a result of the first guy that I sponsored online, and it happened in 5 days. That's what you call duplication. That's what you call somebody having success that is 5 levels down, but doesn't know you 1000 miles away. That's what you call something that is moving in the marketplace.

Why did that happen? That happened because it has taken the requirement of having to know how to do sales and marketing out of our messages what happened. And taking the system that I've been used to building, and I'm going to be honest with you guys, truthfully, and this isn't a cocky thing, and I'm not saying I'm better than anybody. I've got some weird abilities. I do.

Alan, he sends me this message, and the truth is there's not very many people I know in the world that can sell like I can sell. There's not very many. Even Jonathan, he comes over and he joins me and he says, we need to move event tickets. And I say okay. So I send out an email.

I get on a live stream. I tell stories for 3 hours and sell 1000 event tickets. And he's like, what in the freaking heck just happened dude? I said, well, I've got weird powers man. I don't know how it works.

Well, I do, but it's another story. I've got weird abilities to sell stuff. And there's not 5 people in Empower Networks that can do what I can do. That's the truth. There's not 5 of them.

There's probably 5. There might be only 2. And even the ones that can do it can't do the same things I can do as well. Just like I can't do what David Sharp can do, and just like we can't do what you can do, there's people on this call that have unbelievably unique abilities, but you still can't do what I can do. You don't have that skill.

So a lot of people, they come in, they see Empower. There's been people that have tried to knock off Empower. They just don't grow like we grow. And they can't figure out why. And the truth is because they ain't me, and they can't replicate that skill because they don't have anybody that can do it.

And that's just the truth. They just don't. And it's really interesting looking at that and looking at what are people's real gifts and how can we pull them together. Isn't that the message? Isn't that what we really want to aim?

Don't we want to look at what gifts do you have and how can we systematize those so people who don't have the gifts and skills can do what you can do, but without having to know what you know? That's the key to making this thing take off. And the magic behind Empower Network was a message where here's what you do. Yes, do you have to work. Yes, you need to work.

This is what you need to do to work, but I'm going to tell you something. Here's what you don't have to be able to do. And we had a message where hey, you don't have to be a guru. You don't have to make your own systems, your own funnels and do all this stuff. You can get paid like a guru, but no, you don't have to be a guru.

Here's how you follow the system. That was what duplicated it to make us take off. So I looked at that after these last few months, and we're still doing well. Some people hear that message and they say, oh, they made mistakes. They'll be an idiot.

I see idiots on Facebook and stuff, and they can say whatever they want to say, but they don't know what's going on the inside. We're doing well. But I look at what we've done and I say what we did was we went away from the messaging that built us to who we are. We just went away from it. There were some reasons for that.

There were some things that we wanted to try out. There were good reasons behind it, but we looked and we said, that's not really who we are. We're a freedom movement. We're somebody that gets people pumped up about the future. So I was honest.

I sent a message to a leadership council about a week and a half ago, and I hit them up on this leadership thing, and I said, hey guys, here's the deal. I apologize. I've been disconnected from the field. I don't know. Not every call, but I'm going to be on almost every call that Empower Network does probably for the next year.

Why? Because I'm here to cast the vision. I'm here to build the dream, and I'm here to help everybody get on track on this call. And getting on track, I'm not saying, hey, don't promote other stuff. Here's the thing.

You guys on the call, you want to promote other things. You can do whatever you want. Be my guest. Just don't come in and start causing problems and trying to raid Empower Network. There's been people on Facebook posting messages and stuff like that, and it's okay.

They're cool people, and I know a lot of them, and they're friends, but they just don't know. We've never taken somebody's check away here at Empower Network, not ever. Not even people that have publicly bashed us have we done it. Most of the people who end up doing that, they end up apologizing later and coming back. Not all of them, but a lot of them do.

We're actually the only company I'm aware of that has people come back. We were at the Empower Network conference in Miami. Had a lady come out. She was kicked out of this big old company that sells coffee. And I was like, why'd they kick you out?

And she says, I don't know. And she actually got a call from somebody in the company that said, I want you to think about this. Yeah, we say it's your own business, but really it's corporate America with a 1099. Well, that's not who Empower Network is. Empower Network is something different.

We're a freedom movement. We're a movement that started for the people. And I want you guys to know something here. I have a good buddy, and I'm just going to say his name. And the reason is because every time we have an issue we work it out.

And we have no issues. I've known this guy since I've been 12. But he's one of the guys who when he has a problem he'll bring it directly to me. And I appreciate him for that. That's Chris Rushlow.

He came to me the other week and he said, Dave, I've got this. He says, man, I'm mad. And he told me about all this stuff that was making him mad. And after I told him about why that stuff was the way that it was, I said, hey, look, I'm not trying to make excuses, man, but let me actually explain this to you. He's like, oh, dude, I'm not mad anymore.

And I said, yeah, most people won't be mad if they understand why we're doing the things that we're doing, if they understand why it is. There's a thing on Facebook, let me give you an example, where people on Facebook, they're like, and Power Network changed their terms and conditions. They're turning into this big dumb company. Well, that wasn't made in ignorance. That was made from real concern.

And I understand a lot of people on the call, you're concerned about that. So let me actually just address it publicly. I'm actually going to make a public statement later. I'm actually going to address it later too. I'm going to make a vision statement.

I'm going to put it out there. So just to silence it. I saw this thing on Facebook. And so I actually called Jonathan, because I just assumed we changed our terms and conditions. And I called him, because he was our CEO.

I am not the CEO of Empower Network right now. I have the vision, and the CEO is the chief execution officer. He executes the vision. So I said, did we change our terms and conditions? He says, I don't know.

I don't think so. So he contacted the compliance department, because they run all that stuff. I want you to understand something here. Do you want Empower Network to be around? If the answer is yes, and you're nodding, do you want us to stick around?

Those of you who have checks here, those of you who have bought in here, do you want us to stay around? And that's an honest question. Do you want us, or do you not? Do you want us to be here 10 years from now, and be able to get a check 10 years from now? Do you want to be able to build a team that lasts for the next 20 years?

If you're nodding, then I want you to also nod and agree to, I want the compliance department too. Guys, I'm going to tell you something. There ain't nothing more that I hate in the world than our compliance department. I'm sorry if the compliance department is listening to this. It's not because I hate you.

It's because, man, I hate that stuff. We have to have rules. You've got to follow these rules. And I get so frustrated. I'm like, gosh, let's just break all these rules.

That's what I feel like inside. I'm like, I hate it. But do you want Empower Network to stick around? If you're nodding, do you want the vision to still be here in 10 years? Let me actually repeat this again.

We need a compliance department. You want to know what the biggest problem was with Fortune high-tech marketing? They got shut down by the FTC. They didn't have a compliance department that was monitoring any of the behavior in the field. So people were out there saying whatever the hell they wanted to say, and there was nobody putting a stop to it.

They didn't have a compliance department. We need a really strong compliance department here, guys. Somebody went up on Facebook the other day. I'm going to publicly talk about this too. By the way, there's nothing negative about Mr.

Frank Kern. We reamed him in our launch, and it wasn't an intentional ream. Those of you who saw the launch, we thought it was funny. I thought it was hilarious. I didn't actually write the script for that.

It was written by Hollywood script writers, which is one of the reasons why that launch only brought in 12,000 customers or whatever it did. It didn't bring in 30,000 customers, because I wasn't actively involved the way that I need to be with the vision here. And I apologize to you guys about that, because I should have been here. But I look at that, and I thought it was the most hilarious thing ever, because I'm going to be honest with you. If Frank Kern put out a video making fun of me, I would shit my pants laughing.

I'd think it was so funny. I'm going to be honest with you. I would think it was funny. Dave Sharp, he wouldn't think it's so funny. Some people think stuff like that's funny.

Some people don't think it's funny. Frank Kern didn't think that was funny, but he was graceful with us. And then some dumb idiot in Empower Network put an ad with Frank Kern's face on it on Facebook targeting Frank Kern's followers, making it look like Frank Kern is in Empower Network and involved in the iPass 2 launch, which he's not. And guys, I want you to be really honest about something. And that's the question.

Do you want Empower Network to be around? If you want Empower Network to be around, then compliance has got to be able to slam behavior like that, because that's breaking laws. You can't put people's faces on image ads and target their followers pretending they're in something. It's fraud. You can't do it.

I can't go out there and send an email to my list and pretend I'm Frank Kern and that I've joined Empower Network, because Frank Kern is not in Empower Network because he's now made obvious. So he went on and he slammed us, which I didn't agree with. I actually like Frank, and I think he's hilarious with all the videos he went out. And I haven't talked to him about it yet. I'll probably shoot him an email after this call, because I should talk to him about it.

But here's the thing. He went on and he slammed us. And he said on his Facebook wall, he was like, these guys, they're not compliant and this and that. And to be honest, Frank doesn't understand MLM. He doesn't understand network marketing.

And he doesn't want to either. At the bottom of his emails he says, if you're in MLM or network marketing or in something like that, this isn't for you. And he puts it in his disclosures everywhere, because he doesn't like it. But because he doesn't like it, guys, especially, I want you to think about something. Don't put Mike Dillard's face on an ad, or Jonathan Budd's face on an ad, or think of a famous person's face you can put on an ad, and go run traffic to it and pretend they've joined something that they didn't join.

It's not ethical to do. We can build a business based on honest marketing. So we need a compliance department for stuff like this, because if stuff like that happens and we don't deal with it, guess what happens? What happens is somebody can come in and they can say they used our trademark, and they can come in and file a lawsuit against us. And we are responsible for that stuff, guys.

We are responsible as a company for your behavior. That's not to mean compliance is there to rob you of your checks, and it's not there to say they're here to fire you from Empower. It's there to keep the company ethical, because we've got rogues who come into Empower sometime. We'll have rogues that come into Empower in the future, and we need to be cleaning up that behavior. If you're nodding your head and you're saying, that makes sense to me, understand it doesn't interfere with the message.

And here's the thing. So we go back to this terms and conditions thing. It popped up, and then Business From Home, they wrote an article about it. I'm just drawing more attention to it, but at least I can make a public statement. Ted Newton, maybe you're on the call and you can write an article about what I'm saying.

We didn't actually even change our terms and conditions. All we did was move something that was there into another spot that for some reason people noticed more than they did the first time, and then people are like, hey, are they changing the deal on us? Guys, we're not changing the deal. What it did highlight to us though, is an honesty thing, is we need to look at who we really are, and we need to look at our terms and say, does our terms actually reflect how we feel about the world? So I'm going to put a statement out about that tomorrow, because I think the next day, I've got to make it good, so I've got to think about it.

But the thing that we've got to look about is we've got to look at who are we really? Who do we want really? Like for example, let me give you another example. There are some people in Empower Network that only want to build Empower Network. There are some people in Empower Network that want to build lots of things at once.

Well, sometimes that causes some aberrant behavior in the field. So we've got some people out there that are only building one thing, and then we've got somebody in here that's building five things, and some of the people that build five things, they act unethically. And let me explain like an unethical behavior in building five things. And this is unethical. And guys, you can call it what you want to call it.

I'm not saying building five things is unethical. I don't give a crap what you guys do. I think there are certain things that will make you more money than others, and that's my opinion whether it's true or not. But I'm not going to slam you. When I'm just going to call it unethical, I'm just going to call it unethical.

And what's that? You get in Empower, and you build a little team. You utilize it to get recognition, and then you go trying to use your skill to call other people's down lines that they brought here, and recruit them into your other deal in Bad Mouth Empower. Now I'm going to be honest with you. If I knew who those people were, and I saw them, I'd just slap them right in the face.

And the reason I would is because I think they are wussbags. That's the honest truth about it. And it's not because they are building multiple things at once. It's because they are doing something that they don't need to do, and maybe they don't know that there is a better way to do things where they can actually be ethical and build lots of things at once. I know guys in Empower Network who made a lot of money, guys, who are in multiple deals.

And they keep their businesses segmented. And they are not trying to constantly slam everything with 50 things at once, because they understand that people have dreams and goals. And when people have dreams and goals, we need to feed those guys. And people who are distracted when they are new with 10 things never succeed at anything. They just don't.

People who succeed at lots of things at once, Michelangelo Lopez said it best. I actually heard him say this on a call. He is one of the booming leaders here at Empower. I actually believe Michelangelo has the potential to earn a couple million dollars this year from what he is doing. He is just killing it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he won a whole bunch of these contests. Now here's the thing. He said it best. He says, people don't get me wrong. And I heard him say it just like this.

He says, people who build multiple things at once successfully have massive segmented lists that they have been building for a long time, and they've got authority and power in the marketplace. People who build multiple things at once are not new people. Well, here's the problem. 98% of the people in Empower Network are new all the time. If you look at the people who come to our events, two-thirds of the people who come to our events are new people all the time.

So if you are bringing in the new people all the time that don't have massive segmented lists, and you are trying to get them to do what you do, and you do have a massive segmented list, that's not really even unethical I don't think. But here's the trick. You are sabotaging your team. That's the honest truth about it. But what is unethical?

It's targeting other people's down lines. It's trying to raid other people's people. They brought here – remember something. Let's give Tony Rush an example. If Tony Rush sponsors somebody in Empower Network, it was his money that placed the ad, that got the lead, that got the sign-up.

It was his time that built the leader that was doing the conference calls, that was doing the team hangouts. It was his list where he had a weekly hangout that was building that person up that was helping them succeed. And when you go and you give him a phone call because you see one of Tony's leaders on the leader board, and you are being a douche bag, and you say, hey, promote this other thing with me, you are stealing from Tony. And let's be honest about what is unethical. But I'm not talking about what is unethical here.

I'm talking about the perception that we are changing the deal. Guys, we ain't changing the deal. So can I call that to a stop here on the conference call? I wouldn't even mean to talk about this stuff tonight, but I figure why the hell not just cover it on a conference call and just tell it when everybody is here out in the open. Why not do it?

I believe in being open and authentic. No, we are not changing the deal. No, we actually didn't change the terms. We actually added one thing to our terms and that was a prohibition specifically, not against sponsoring people into multiple deals, but against specifically targeting other people's Empower Network team members and sponsoring them into other deals if you are also building a business here. Now if you want to quit and you want to go do something else, and you want to do whatever the hell you want to do, do I think that you are an unethical bastard?

Yeah. I think that you could build things ethically. Yes. But you can do what you want to do. We didn't change the deal.

We didn't change the terms. And we are not changing things on people. The only things we are changing is trying to make things better. The only things that we are changing is changing our upsell processes back to things that have our messaging. The only things that we are changing is going back and looking at saying, hey, what made us and who we are?

Why does everybody copy Empower Network? Every deal out there that started in the last two years had tried to rip something directly off of something that Dave Sharp and I invented out of thin air. Empower Network came out from a dream from my head. The comp plan came from my head. There was no 2, 4, 6, and every 5th comp plan before Empower Network.

There wasn't. They didn't exist guys. That came from my brain and Dave Sharp's brain working together is where it came from. This came from a dream. Why does everybody knock us off?

Because we are the biggest dreamers. Because our desires are actually right. And here's what I mean by that. Guys, I don't think I'm Jesus. You know what I mean?

Sometimes it's funny because sometimes people post on Facebook the MLM Jesus that they are referring to me. I don't know why people say that. I ain't Jesus. Jesus doesn't talk like I talk, nor would I ever claim to be, thank God. But here's the thing that I know.

I know that I'm good at certain things. And I know that I have a destiny in life and it's unique. And I have a strange ability to empower people. So does Dave Sharp. I've never seen somebody who can do what Dave Sharp did at the event.

I actually think Dave Sharp is a better speaker than Tony Robbins. He's younger. Tony Robbins might be better now, but Tony Robbins won't be better in five years. It won't take Dave Sharp 20 years speaking to get as good as Tony Robbins. It won't.

People saw them. We had comments in this last event that says, holy smokes, David Sharp has transformed as a speaker faster than any human being I've ever seen in my life in the speaking business. Professional speakers coming up and stuff like that. A lot of you guys were there and you know what I'm talking about. We have some talent here guys.

I believe that in some strange way in Power Network is blessed. We run into the right people at the right time every time even when we think we're not. We have been going forward in two years, for a little over two years, even when we think that we have been going backward, we have been in fact marching forward. Just these last few months is a great example of that. Why?

Because it's like the Bible says. It's like sometimes you need to separate the wheat from the chaff. You know what I mean? And sometimes you do. And these last few months, it puts a limelight on number one, who you really are, what your real vision is.

Now I know sometime in the last few months we had some issues guys. Holy smokes, we had issues for heaven's sakes. I can be honest about those. Have we recovered from the issues? Most of them, yes.

Have we fixed the tech issues? 99% of them, yes. We actually have less tech issues now than we've ever had in the history of Power Network. But we've had issues. We've had issues, man.

We've gotten in conference calls with Dave Sharp and Jonathan and myself and said, how do we tackle this? This is a unique one. How do we tackle it when Frank Kern posts a message on his wall and says these things? I'm not going to go argue with him on Facebook, right? Because I actually think that it's unethical to use people's image ads if they're not in something pretending they're in something.

I actually do think it's unethical. And although I wouldn't respond like that, I can't blame him for responding like that, I don't think people should do it because obviously he's not in. You know what I mean? So let me clarify, and this is for your benefit, Frank Kern. We all know you're not in.

You know what I mean? So here's the thing. How do we respond to issues when they come up? Well, we can be open and authentic, for number one. We can admit them, number two.

And for those of you who, you know, I've been, I was disconnected for a little bit last year, and you're like, God, you're on another planet. I'm sorry, guys. But here's what I can tell you. I'm back, okay? And Dave Wood is back leading the charge.

And you know what that means, guys? And I'll just tell you how it is. It means that you either get in the train or get left behind. That's what it means. I said that in the presentation, don't get left behind.

Why? Because I know where I'm going, right? And where I'm going is this. I'm gonna create 100 millionaires a year and empower that work and I'm gonna do it. And I'm gonna do it whether you're in or whether you're out.

I'm gonna do it whether you're a millionaire or you're not a millionaire. I'm gonna do it whether you quit or whether you succeed. I'm gonna do it whether you work or whether you don't work. I'm gonna do it whether you come to events or you never go to events. I'm gonna do it whether you get on the calls or don't get on the calls.

I'm gonna get it whether you qualify for the bonus pool or you don't qualify for the bonus pool. I'm gonna do it no matter what obstacles we face. I'm gonna do it no matter what challenges lie in the future because I don't believe that challenges are there to push you back. When you do get pushed back, I believe that they're there to teach you something about yourself, right? Because challenges are just part of life.

Challenges are just part of who we are, right? They're a part of the victory. They're a part of the story. And there's some things that Power Network has gone through that none of you guys will know. And we'll tell you about it maybe in a year or two and you'll blow your mind, right?

Some of the stuff that we've dealt with. I'm not talking about legal issues or anything like that. We have some weird stuff happen in the company that you guys wouldn't even believe if we told you. And you say, why are you guys doing this and what's the truth? Sometimes I go online and I read what people say and stuff like that about us.

And here's the truth. People can say whatever they wanna say about me. And the only reason they do that is because they never met me and they never talked to me and they don't know my heart, right? Because my only desire in Power Network and the reason I started this company was not for me. When I brought Jonathan in, I said, Jonathan, I didn't start this company to make a bunch of money.

And he said, you know Dave, it has become intrinsically obvious from the way that you operate every aspect of this company that you did not start this thing to make money. He says, you started this for some other reason, so why did you start it? He says, because I'm here to execute the vision. I said, I started it for the people. I started it for the affiliates at Empower Network.

I started it for Justin Beringia. I started it for Lawrence Tam. I started it for Vick's Chris House. I started it for the moms and the dads and the people in Empower Network who are here to have a dream and a vision. I started it, I started it for you because I believe in you.

And you know, a lot of you guys here are like, maybe you're on the call and you're like, well, you don't believe in me, you don't know me. Yes, I do. Because I know your struggles because I've been there. And some of you, I've been through more struggles than you possibly imagine. And I've had victory.

And I know that you can have victory because I've had victory and that's what Empower Network is really about. It's about lifting the people up. So we're gonna be doing a lot of neat stuff over the next year. We're gonna be rebuilding all of our core product line here at Empower Network because we know how to do things better now. We're gonna be rebuilding all the infrastructure here to do what we really are about here now.

We're gonna be rebuilding all of the sales process here to really sell the way that we know how to sell now. We're gonna be rebuilding everything here to do one thing and that's to build you up, right? And I believe that this year is gonna be the foundation for something that can't be described in any other way, but an empire. And it's not an empire of an emperor, this is a different one because this is an empire of the people, right? This is one of these situations where the empire is gonna strike back.

This is one of these situations, I did that for you, Justin Berenji, this is one of those situations when we're gonna go back out there into the marketplace and nobody really knows where we're headed, I'm telling you something, but me and Dave Sharp. And I'm telling you guys something here, it's bigger than you think that it is, and I'm telling you something here, some of you guys are gonna be in it, some of you are gonna be left behind. My question is, is who are you, right? And what do you wanna do, right? And we're gonna be here regardless of who slams us on Facebook, regardless of who writes a snotty article, right?

We're gonna be here, right? Lifting people up. And you know what? I'm gonna tell you guys something, even the people that have done things that you look at them and some people say, hey, we should kick those people out. Well, should we kick Lawrence Tam out when he opt over to that vitamin deal?

Should we kick them out? No, we shouldn't have kicked him out, why? Because he's back and he's a million dollar earner. Should we kick Toby and Layla out? Should we kick them out when they were in that deal with Lawrence?

No, we shouldn't have kicked them out because here they are and they're back, right? And why are they back? Because we loved on them, right? Because they did that and they said, hey guys, it's fine, go build your other deal. Just make sure to realize that we're still here for you.

And after a while, they realized that they didn't wanna do what they didn't wanna do. And they realized what they really want and who they really are and what they're really about and they're back. And then the other company had the audacity to kick them out. You guys know that, right? So some of you say, ah, you should slam that person.

Well, should we slam them really, guys? Do you really want that, right? Do you really want us to go and take somebody's check away because they did something malicious and stuff like that? Do you want them to run all over Facebook and to complain about Empower Network and have to be putting out fires like that like all these big dumb companies do all the time, right? Or you want us to realize that if we just say, we reach out to those people and we say, hey, cut it out.

You got a check here, you got a team here, love on them. And they stop almost every time. And you know what happens, folks? They all come back. Why do they come back?

Because we're Empower Network guys and we're here to empower the people and lift them up. So guys, I don't want you to get some delusion about what we should and shouldn't do. The messages that we started with is the message that we're gonna march into the future with. Do we need compliance? Yes, we need compliance.

And nod your head, right? Nod your head up and down if you're grateful that we have people that are smart enough in this company that are intelligent enough to realize that we are in a industry that is heavily regulated and that we need to follow the laws. Some of you guys are out there on Facebook and you're not doing income disclosures when you're making claims. You need to make income disclosures. And if you don't, we're gonna have compliance contact you.

You need to make disclosures, right? You need to go out there and talk about the products and the value of the products, guys. That's why you buy them. You know, somebody says, why should I buy the products in Empower Network if I'm selling them? Well, here's the real reason why.

So you can create a product story by knowing what's in them and by producing a result with them. I actually had a friend of mine who on Facebook posted a thing. He posted a link up to the Costa Rica Mastermind Intensive the other week. And he said, you know, the truth is, is I've used this to make more money building another team but I learned it in Empower Network. Here's where you can buy the product.

And he linked to a product that I made in 2011 in my house in Costa Rica when Empower Network hadn't even launched yet where I laid out the principles of why Empower Network is what it is. And he says, this is what I used to build my entire organization and why I'm successful today is because I bought this product and understood it and applied it, right? That's how you sell products, guys. You make a story out of it. You buy it, you use it, you apply the information in your business, right?

And you know, I bless you in doing whatever you're gonna do. I'm just gonna tell you what I believe. And I believe that those of you who are affiliates here, and I'm talking to the affiliates, not those of you who are customers. Customers, we bless you in doing whatever you wanna do. You're welcome to do whatever you wanna do here.

Let's just be ethical about it, okay? But here's the thing, guys. I believe, I believe, right? And I'm just gonna be honest here with you guys. I believe that you are going to do better by focusing here.

I just do. Now, well, yeah, I'm not a prophet, right? I'm not the MLM Jesus. I don't have magical powers from God or something like that. But what I do believe is I believe that people who focus finish, you know what, they finish biggest is what they do, right?

I look at Tony Rush as an example, right? He's not the biggest sponsor at Empower. He's up there, he's one of them, but he's not the biggest, right? He's headed to a lot bigger than that. Why?

Because he's focused, right? Does that mean that's what you have to do? No, you can do whatever you wanna do. That's just what I believe, right? And we're gonna bless you and whatever.

But here's the thing, guys. Empower Network is a freedom message, okay? We're here to stay. And we are back to the message that made us who we are. And there are all sorts of people coming back, promoting Empower Network right now, who stopped for a couple of months because now they're excited again.

And we're gonna attract a lot of people with this bonus pool. So what I encourage you guys to do is to qualify, to get excited about it, to get passionate about it, to focus on the future. Because this is where I believe we're going. And I'm gonna end with this. Here's where I believe we're going.

I believe Empower Network is headed into a future, into an existence that none of you guys can imagine. I believe that we will fill rooms that are bigger than Miami with million-dollar earners in the future, right? Where everybody in the room has a million-dollar ring. You know, Shakir, he's Islamic. A lot of you guys don't know that.

And he hit us up and he's like, guys, I can't wear white gold or platinum. He says, I can't do it, it's against my religion. So we're custom-making a million-dollar ring for the people out there in Empower Network who are Islamic. Apparently Islamic men can't wear white gold, it's for women or something. I don't actually understand it.

I was making fun of Shakir about it. But we're making a custom one. Why? Because he's earned it, right? He's earned a million-dollar ring.

He's one of the 10. Right now we've got 10. There will be a day when we've got 100. There will be a day when we have 100. And there will be a day when we have 200.

And there will be a day when we have 100 new ones a year. And it's gonna come faster than you guys think. And then we'll have 200 new ones a year. Because we are here to create success. That's what we're here for.

That is our mission. That's our vision. That's the entirety of our purpose. That's why we're called the Empower Network. It's why we are who we are, right?

We're here to help you transform your ability to do things that you've never been able to do before. Right? And you know what, guys? If you're with us, you're with us. And if you're not with us, that's okay.

I'm not mad at you. You know, I have a friend who's on Facebook, and I actually really like this guy. And he said some things, and then he took some posts down. He's a great guy, right? And I'd never knock him.

Because here's the truth. I'm gonna bless you in doing what you wanna do, right? And if it's not this, that's fine. In my opinion, here's the truth. I believe you'll get left behind.

That's it, right? And if you wanna get left behind, that's fine. You can get left behind. If you wanna run with us, that's fine. You can pop on the train.

You can run with us, right? And that choice is yours. And maybe if you get left behind, you're gonna find another train. And that's fine, and I bless you for that, right? But don't think for a second that I ain't here for the vision.

Don't think for a second that I've got some sort of malicious intentions. Don't put stuff up on Facebook that says, hey, Dave Woods, you know, he's changed the game. No, I ain't changed the game for anything but better, right? Because I'm telling you something, guys. We're here to be bigger and better than we've ever been before.

That is the vision of 2014. And I believe what's gonna happen over the next three weeks, I believe our sales are gonna double then triple. And I believe it's gonna happen just from our new sales process, from people getting excited about it, and that bonus contest I told you about. Because all it's gonna take is one or two weeks of somebody winning 10,000 bucks for somebody else with a big old list to get mad and start slamming, right? But here's the key, here's the real key, and I wanna really emphasize this for a second.

Here's the real key, guys. Listen to this for a second. The win in the contest that we're doing, it's not a contest, it's a bonus pool, it's a little different. Win in the bonus pool that we've got, okay, and we'll announce the winners of it next week. All sales, this is the way it's gonna work.

12.01 Monday, so that's, you know, just after midnight Sunday night. 12.01 a.m. Eastern Time Monday begins, ends at midnight Eastern Time on Sunday, weekly cycle, calculate winners, we'll do the announcements on the call, and we'll update y'all to the week. I'm gonna tell you somebody else with a big list is gonna come in and slam. And you know what, it's just gonna be a few weeks of seeing somebody else bring in two a day before you're gonna start doing it, and seeing who they are, right?

And I believe our numbers are gonna double and triple just from that. But it's not just from that, guys, it's the vision. It's the vision. And I really want you to understand the power of vision, because a lot of you guys have got distracted. And here, I wanna speak to something for you guys for a second, and this is kind of a tone I wanna end the call on, because this is one of these times, this is one of these calls where I just wanna come out here and I just wanna tell you how it is, you know what I'm saying?

And I believe I needed to do this, not just for my benefit, to get this off my chest, but there's been all this stuff circulating around, and I wanna put it to rest, right? There's people out there who said, you know, who are out there on Facebook, and they're saying things like, oh, because of this blog beast thing, and Power Network's dying, and Power Network ain't dying, folks, right? I know the numbers, I see what's going on. We had a little bit of a sales slump after that, or along with the holidays, and we're picking back up now. And before the blog beast, we had sales slumps in the last year, too, that we picked back out of.

And every time we have a sales slump, and we'll have sales slumps in the future, right? Every time we've got one, and every time we've ever had one, there's some idiot out there that writes an article that says, oh, they're going downhill. Well, you know what, who's going downhill? The critics are gonna go downhill. Because I'm gonna show them, I'm gonna show them who the boss of the marketplace is.

And I think the people that make products that say the word boss in them, because I'll tell you who the boss of the marketplace is, it ain't me, it's the people. The boss of the marketplace is the people. And people put their money where they wanna put their money. And people are gonna put their money where they wanna put their money in the future. And if people wanna be joining in Power Network, they're gonna join, and I'm telling you, you ain't seen nothing yet.

You ain't seen us going to Spanish yet. You ain't seen us going to Portuguese yet. You ain't seen us going to Russia yet, right? You ain't seen us start doing events all over the world yet. You ain't seen us having bilingual and trilingual leaders yet.

All right, I'm about 60% fluent in Spanish right now, and I'll be doing events through Central America, right? I will be doing events through Central America. I will be speaking fluently on stage at Spanish events with 15,000 people. And you know, these people, they ain't seen nothing yet. They ain't seen nothing yet.

And when we have a sales slump in the future, they're gonna come back and they say, well, I was wrong about the date, but I told you so. And then they're gonna go, eh. And they're gonna stick their tail back up their butt and walk with their tail between their legs in shame when we're still around 10 years from now and 20 years from now, because we ain't going anywhere, right? And I'm just telling you, we ain't, right? So sometimes I need to get off my chest, but I only speak to something else for a second here.

And this is something I actually became aware of the other day. And I wanna thank a person here, and I'm not gonna mention his name, but it was a person I talked to for about an hour the other day. You know who you are if you're on the call, okay? Because of something. And when he's talking, I felt hurt in his voice.

And he felt hurt because he felt like we had made some bad decisions, right? And you might feel hurt. And some of you guys, you never really know what hurt is unless somebody calls you out on it, or what resentment is. Resentment is like anger gone wrong. I was just actually reading a book, you know, Psycho-Cybernetics.

Resentment is anger gone wrong, right? Some of our leadership calls that we've had over the last few months, guys, we were talking and talking and talking. I said, forget this, we're just going back to our messaging and we're doing a better job of it, right? And, you know, on the leadership calls, though, I was hearing things people were saying, and a couple of the leaders, and it's gone now, right? There was legitimate hurt there, right?

And pain, because they felt like, hey, where were you the last few months, the last year day? Well, I was having some personal issues. They're gonna have to clear it up, right? But here's where I wanna talk to, to all of you who have hurt, right? I'm sorry.

We're back. You good with that? Can you let it go? Because I can let it go. Hi, I know that other company went out of business.

I know this is your first success ever and it went down for you, some of you on the call. Some other people, it went up, and I'm sorry. That okay? Sometimes you need to let go of the past to embrace a bigger, new future, right? Sometimes you need to let go.

You know, a lot of times when I, you know, when a lot of people get involved in this industry, you know, they get involved and, you know, I had some resentment too, guys. I'm gonna talk about my resentment here in a minute, right? You know, they get involved in this industry and they lose a leader, and they never let it go, right? Ever, not ever. They don't ever let it go because they're so, they're hurt about it.

And guys, it's real, it's real legitimate hurt, but they never let it go. And when you hold on to the past, you can't open your way to a new future. Sometimes people in here, they're building and they've got this team and they've got leaders and then half their leaders leave. And guys, do you know that happens sometimes? Did you know that if you build an organization for long enough, at one point or another, probably half of your leaders will leave and then you're going to, you know, you'll probably feel hurt about it.

And then people try to cling onto what they did, not realizing that they didn't get to where they are by clinging to the past. They got to where they are by embracing a new future. They got to where they are by marching to a different drumbeat. They got to where they are by casting a bigger vision. They got to where they are by producing and they stopped.

And the only reason their leaders left was because they stopped and they started clinging, right? How do countries become great? They become great through freedom. How do they fall apart when the people who are at the top in the country start clinging to their success, thinking they deserve it? No, you don't deserve it, you built it, right?

You built it. And you can build it bigger. And that core group of people that you've got, they're here with you and they're warriors. That's who they are. And a lot of those people who left, they'll come back.

When their deal goes out of business, they'll come back when their company owner bans them. They'll come back when they realize that you're having more success without them than you were with them. They'll come back. But sometimes you need to let it go, right? And I had a resentment.

And you know, I'm gonna talk about this here for a second, guys, because if I come out here and I'm not honest with you about issues, right? And I'm not honest with you about what's been going on, then it just seems like I'm trying to pull the wool over your eyes with this new message. Yeah, we got a new contest, but you know, by the way, nothing's happened in the last few months, just ignore it. It doesn't face issues. You know one thing Dave Sharpe's taught me?

Guys, I love David Sharpe. You wanna know why? Because Dave Sharpe faces issues, right? Face on, right? In Kung Fu, we call it face the form.

When you can't see because your knights are getting knocked out and you don't know where to fight, you face the shadow that you can still see, right? You face the form, you face it like a warrior and you attack it straight on. You attack the attack, that's another principle in Kung Fu. Right, why? Because sometimes that's all you got left.

You gotta face your darkness, guys. You gotta look at it. Sometimes darkness hides in a corner and you need to take out a light and shine it on the darkness and get it out of the house, right? Where do scorpions hide? They hide in the darkness.

Sometimes you gotta bring in a fumigator, right? Or an exterminator to come get the scorpions out of the dark corners in the house. We had scorpions in the house, had to get an exterminator in just the other week. Not safe for kids, right? Sometimes you gotta face your darkness, right?

Where did I go the last few months of the last year? Facing my darkness, guys. Facing a huge, unbelievable amount of pain that I'd had for a long time and never admitted. Bringing it out, saying, hey, I'm okay with this. I'm okay with not being perfect.

I'm okay with not being God. I'm okay with not having it all. I'm okay with not knowing everything. I'm okay when my success goes backwards for a day. I'm okay when I fall down because I can get back up.

I'm okay when life beats me in the face, right? And then to go back, and then I had some resentment because we changed stuff that, you know, we changed stuff and I thought it was a bad decision to leave it changed and I just, rather than doing what I'm doing right now, which is just rebuilding it to be better and compliant like it needs to be, I festered. I festered. I festered in the past. I festered on who I was two years ago.

I festered on who we were, right? I festered and I'm sorry. Sometimes you need to step up and you need to say, oh, it's time for something new. It's time for a new future. It's time to change something.

It's time to let go of who I was and embrace who I wanna be. It's time to have a new vision for the future, for the people. It's time to have a new dream at a bigger level and to do it in a new way and to do what got me here in the first place, right? Because we've been debating back and forth on all these calls with the leaders, right? And the leaders, they just want the best thing that everybody else wants.

They want you all to succeed. And then one day I was talking with Dave Sharp on the phone about a week ago. It was about seven days ago, eight days ago, and I was on the phone with Dave Sharp and I realized something. I realized that because what we were doing was It was working so well. It was working so well.

It was working unbelievably well. I didn't need to do it anymore. And because of that I stopped doing what I love to do. Now even though I stopped doing it because what we built worked so well, we still doubled in sales in 12 months. But I stopped doing what I love to do.

I was in Amway, and I love Amway guys by the way. Never think I'm reaming on them when I'm talking about them, because I just think they are great. I really do. Some of you would hang up on the call because you say, I love Amway. Well, I do.

I think they are awesome. I was in this company in Amway, and this guy stood on the stage. He said, you want to know how to get bigger than you are now? And I was sitting there and I was like, well, I'm not there yet. But he was talking about diamonds which is like being a god almost.

It's so difficult in that company. But he's saying, how do you get to double diamond? And I was like, well, I don't know. And he says, this is Bill Britt who is dead now. And he says, you keep doing what got you to diamond, and you never stop.

See, and I stopped for a little bit. And it took me a lesson. Sometimes we've got to learn hard lessons. Dexter Jaeger, one of the people that I've tried to listen to everything that he's got, but it's a little difficult to track down. He's got like 10 million people in his organization over in Amway too.

But he said something that I think is really profound. He said, sometimes somebody doesn't realize they start succeeding because they are humble. They start succeeding because they are humble, and they are willing to listen. And then they get success, and they stop being humble, and they start acting like egos, and they change their personality, and they stop being humble. And when they do, I stop talking to them and I say, come back when you are humble.

Because if you want to get to a bigger level, you've got to keep doing what got you here. Well, I stopped doing that. I'm sorry. I'm back. And I'm stronger because now I don't have scorpions in the corner anymore.

And I like to be honest about that, and to be up front about that, because that's who I am. Dave Sharp taught me that. So if you are listening to this Dave Sharp, thank you brother. I never had an issue with heroin, and drugs, and other things that he struggled with, but I had some issues with some secrets. Now I don't.

I feel good about that guys. I feel good about myself and who I am. I feel good about what got us to where we are at. But it's time to get humble. It's time to get humble.

And the question is, who on here wants to get to a bigger level? Who on here wants to be greater than you've been? Who on here wants to do things at a different level? Who in here wants the Empower Network to be around? Well, let's stop putting image ads of people up here pretending they are in Empower, or pretending they are in iPads, or whatever it is.

iPads guys, they don't want that either. I know Chris Jones. I've known him forever. You know guys, he doesn't want people to do unethical marketing. We sent him an email about that.

He said we shut the guy's account off immediately. Why? Because he wants us to be around. Why is Vic doing what he's doing? Because he wants us to be around.

We have an issue. Somebody said something about Vic the other day. I was on a call with somebody and they said Vic did this, and Vic did that. I was like, do you know he's admitted that on public calls? You know what I mean?

It's not a secret. Vic's not keeping secrets. Let me give you an example. There are some people out there spreading rumors about how Vic – let me talk – you know guys, I'm just going to attack this bullshit. How about that for a change?

There are some people out there spreading some bullshit rumors about Vic that he built his system to where he was stealing people's leads and sign-ups over with his team system over there. And do you know, no he wasn't. We investigated it. And it was a legitimate tech issue. And when we told him about it, he fixed it immediately.

And some of you guys out there, you are going to hold on to butt hurt, but did you know that sometimes when you are building a tech company, there are tech issues? You ever logged into YouTube and got an error on YouTube? I have. That's Google for heaven's sakes, let alone Vic or me. You know what I mean?

Sometimes there are errors. We've had errors in a power network that we then immediately have fixed when we become aware of them. No, he hasn't. There are some other rumors about Vic that Vic is collecting his own pass-ups through some scheme. Did you know that when that came up, we investigated it?

We contacted lawyers about it. Did you know that Vic signed a legal statement in front of a notary that he wasn't doing it? And did you know that no, he is not collecting his own pass-ups or doing anything dishonest in power network? He is one of the most ethical people in power network. Sometimes people start rumors because they don't have the facts.

Sometimes people start rumors because they don't have the facts. Sometimes people post things, oh, I got kicked out of Empower Network. There was a gentleman in Empower Network who posted something on Facebook and he said, Empower Network emailed my whole downline and told them to resubscribe under my sponsor. They are trying to shut down my account. And not only that, but they normally steal all the sign-ups and they go to the company.

Did you know that doesn't happen? No, it doesn't happen. Not ever has it happened. And did you know that email that went out didn't go out to his whole team? It went out to part of his team and it was a system error that we fixed immediately, and that he did not lose one person in his organization because of that email?

But it doesn't stop him from posting something on Facebook. And guess what? Guys, for that dude, and some of you know who I'm talking about, did you know, did you know we haven't taken his check? We didn't take his check. He slammed us and we didn't take his check.

He slammed us out there in the marketplace. And we just said, keep your check. It's fine. You brought the customers here. You can keep the check.

And he still has got his check. Why? Because we are in power network. So let's not spread bullshit out there in the marketplace. Let's attack these issues head-on, because no, it ain't true.

Somebody posted something out there that we do something where your members, if somebody below you, they go into grace and they lose their members because that person becomes an inactive affiliate, which can happen by the way. Our comp plan is built like that. If you don't keep your affiliate account active, your sponsorship lines will compress up-line like every other network marketing company on the planet. But we are not going to take your check. That's from you not keeping your account active.

And somebody put something out there, normally in power network the company takes those lines of sponsorship. Well God, if we did, we would probably make a lot more money from people who quit. No, we don't take people's down lines. No, we don't take people's checks. No, we are not kicking people out of in power network and stealing their incomes.

No, there is not some leader at the top of in power network collecting their own pass-ups. We've checked. You want to be honest for a minute? Let's be honest about who we are and who the authentic people they are. And you know, when people say this kind of stuff, and they talk about in power network, and they say, these guys are just doing this to get rich.

I'll tell you something, if the government ever comes and they investigate in power network and they look at our books, it's going to be real hard for anybody to get mad at Dave and I. It's going to be really hard, because there are all sorts of schemes we could pull off to make more money from this company if that's what we are here to do, all sorts of schemes. And if you look at our books and you look at our financials, maybe we should just make those public. Maybe we should just put those on the front of a blog so you can all see it, and you can silence the critics. Maybe that's what we should do.

Because if the government came and they looked at our books and they said, oh, these guys are in some scheme to collect all this money, and the people at the top make all this money. No, we don't. No, we don't. Do we take payouts from the company sometimes? Yeah, it's pretty rare.

I took a few last year at times. Not as much as I would have made if I was just an affiliate by myself in Empower Network just promoting it this whole time though. No, we don't. So people don't know what they don't know. And sometimes people say things out there in the marketplace, and they are dishonest and they are liars because they don't have facts.

And what do you call it when somebody goes out there and they start spreading rumors without facts? I call them a wussy if they don't know the truth. And number two, if they know what they are doing, I call them a liar is what I call them. Because if you are going to go out there and spread rumors, you better have facts to back up the rumors. You better have some information that is true.

You better have it. Did you know that there have been five times when people have been running around saying attorney generals were looking at Empower Network, and each of those times we have investigated and it started with some liar spreading rumors all over the place, because they just didn't like us. So guys, time to tell the truth. Time to tell people about who we really are. Time to tell people, hey, these people out there at Empower Network, you want to look at the honest truth of them?

There are people that every single MLM company in the history of the world, every MLM company would have kicked out, would have taken their check, and then would have filed a lawsuit against them for damages, and we haven't taken their checks. The only thing that we would terminate somebody in Empower Network for is for fraud. Why? Why is that? Maybe that's not the best move all the time, but it's just the truth of who we are.

Maybe we should change that, but that's the truth of who we are. That's the truth of who we are. Does that clear up some of the rumors for you guys? Does that help you with some of the excuses that you've been making? Here's the biggest thing though.

I want you to be honest with yourself, some of you on the call, because we're going to grow with or without you. Here's what I'm going to be honest about with some of you on this call tonight. This is a little longer call. I didn't intend on going on this tonight. Some of you guys here, you're making these excuses for why you're doing one thing, or why you're doing another thing, and here's the truth.

You're hurt. You've got resentment. And I am going to tell you something, and whether you build Empower Network or you build something else, I'll bless you here, and I'll bless you there, because I'm not attached to you. Do I want you around? Yes, if you want to be here, and I don't want to force you to keep you around.

So if you want to go somewhere, here's your blessing. Here's your ticket. You're welcome to go. And I love you anyways. But some of you guys, you've got to be honest about how you feel inside, and you feel some resentment inside for one thing or another.

Let me give you another example of this. We launched High Ticket Academy. And everybody knew at the same time, and some people passed up one sale, or they passed up another sale, and then they were angry about they passed up a sale. You want to know how Vic responded to that? Let me talk about Vic that some people are pretending.

You know why people think Vic is unethical sometimes out there? And I want to just clear his name. He's not unethical. One of the most ethical people I've ever met in my life. You want to know why Vic is treated as unethical out there?

Because he makes more money than other people, and they're jealous. And they're resentful because Vic is making money, and they're not making money, because they don't work like Vic works. They don't get up as early as he does. He works as hard as he works with five kids. Five?

My goodness. I mean I'm just staying up all night because I've got one baby in the house who has just been born. It's hard. I mean five? And he still works harder than these people with no kids and no responsibilities.

And these people go in there and they say, oh, of course he's successful because he's unethical, because they're justifying why they're playing small. They're justifying their hurt is why they say that. People say that about me too. They say, oh yeah, he's up to this. Well, maybe we should put our books out there, because then you'll know I'm not up to anything.

Sometimes they'll say they saw the launch of High Ticket Academy, and they say, oh, I lost the sale. You know how Vic responded to that? The Vic that was criticized for, oh, he's collecting his own pass-ups, and no he's not. No he's not, because he follows the rules. He's actually one of the best ones we have at following the rules in Empower.

It's why we believe in him. It's why we're helping him launch his product. It's why we're putting him on the stage. It's why he's out there in the front of our marketplace, because we're proud of Vic. We're proud to have him out front.

We believe in him. We believe he's got right intentions. And you know how he responds to that whole thing? He said, I pass up sales like everything else. I don't want an advantage over anybody in my team.

He says, I lost some sales, and you know what? I'm happy I lost the sales, because everybody passes up sales equally. It's part of the comp plan. That's Vic. Well, we've got somebody clinging on to some leader, and sometimes people look at that, and they say, oh, the company's collecting all those pass-ups.

Guys, you don't understand how the comp plan works. There's this idiot who runs this MLM review site, who spends his whole life writing reviews, and I actually really like him, but for a second I'm going to call him an idiot, because he analyzed our company, and he said we have a top-heavy comp plan. And you know what the truth is? That guy has never had somebody that's given him as much data about a comp plan as we've given him in 20 years of writing reviews. He said we have a top-heavy comp plan.

But you know what the truth is? You know what kind of comp plan we have? Do we have top people making a lot of money? Yeah, because they produce more. We have a production-based comp plan, which is what?

It is a bottom-heavy comp plan. It is a comp plan that is built for the lower-level people to be able to make large amounts of money faster when they produce. But it is a production-based plan. In the same analysis where he said, if you've got five, we've got five, we've got five, we've got five, you'd be getting paid on this in a unit level, but in Power Network you're just getting paid this. And he says, oh, but it's a top-heavy comp plan.

He contradicted himself within three sentences. But people believe whatever they read, because they don't think. In Power Network is a company that is built for the people. I actually pointed out to him on the phone. He says, okay, then why are your top guys making more money?

And I said, well, let's look at who it is. He says, what about this person versus that person? And I said, oh, this person sponsored 2,000 people and that person sponsored 200 people. So the difference in their income, oh, wait a second, 200 people, 2,000. This person is making ten times the income of the person who sponsored 200 people.

That's about a production-based income, isn't it? Let's not make stuff up there and plaster it in the marketplace, guys. You know what I'm saying? Let's not do that. And Power Network has real products.

We have real investment into our community. Have we made some flub-ups with stuff? Oh, God, we have. But guys, you've got to realize that's part of growing. You've got to realize that if you're going to expect us to be gods and never make mistakes, well, heck, you run your own company then.

You know what I mean? You try to run it. I run this company as a service to the field, because I love you, because I want you to succeed and lift you up. But we can't help you succeed if you're holding on to something. If you lost somebody and you're mad, you had a lead on your list, but they joined Tony instead.

You had a leader, but then they quit, and then six months later they joined under somebody else. Oh, Vic's just succeeding because he's collecting pass-ups. With all the excuses you want to make, this is up to you. This is up to you. And there will be a day when we have rooms of 150,000 people.

And in those 150,000 people, you won't be there, but you'll see a video of it on YouTube, and you'll say, man, I should have stuck with that. Because that guy had a vision, and I knew it, and I felt it, but I allowed myself to get distracted. Getting distracted is easy. Getting distracted is easy if you don't have a dream. That's why the Bible says, where there's no vision, the people perish.

Because it's easy to get distracted when there's not a vision, when there's not a dream. When you're not marching ahead into the future, it's easy to get distracted. Here's what I'm going to encourage you to do. I'm going to encourage you to have a dream and dream with us. To dream with us.

Trust us. I will never, ever do something knowingly that is not in the best interest of your business. I might do something unknowingly because I'm not perfect and don't know everything, and I'm learning all along the way. God, I had to learn a lot about running a company last year. God, who teaches people how to do that?

Even in school, people aren't taught how to do that. You're going to make some mistakes, but here's the thing. We've learned along the way. We've gotten the right people along the way. We brought in Jonathan Cronstead just at the right time.

Just at the right time. And some of you will know why in a year, because we'll tell the story in a year. We ain't going to tell the story right now. But we brought him in just at the right time because he knows how to run business. And God, he's a great CEO.

He is to the CEO position of this company what Dave Sharp is, is a partner of me in this company. He's that important to the company. And if those of you who are connected, I'm on Facebook. You just pop in on Facebook and say, thank God you're in the company, J. Crow, because he's doing great things.

But some of you are going to get mad because you're going to do something unethical, and compliance is going to come and slam you for a little bit, right? Guys, do you want the company to be around? Nod your head. Then thank God for compliance. We've got people that understand compliance has got to be ruthless when people are breaking laws.

Are we going to allow people to run rampant being idiots and posting image ads of Frank Kern pretending he's in Empower Network? No, because he doesn't even like network marketing. He doesn't even understand it. He doesn't want to build it. He is not in Empower Network.

And those of you who are on the call who are big leaders in other things, we don't want people posting your face and your image ads and using your copyrights either in Empower Network. And if they're doing it, guys, if you see somebody posting an ad to Empower Network that's using somebody else's copyright, somebody else's brand, somebody else's trademark, please email the data to compliance at EmpowerNetwork.com and help us shut it off because it's not ethical. And we don't want to be known as the people that are doing that in the marketplace. We don't want to be known as the people that are taking other people's trademarks and pretending Tony Robbins is in or pretending some celebrity is in. Why?

Because we don't need to. We might need to do that if we had an inferior product. We might need to do that if we had an inferior comp plan. We might need to do that if we were some small fry in our parents' basement. But we don't need to do that.

We've got too much success for that. We've got too much goodwill to us. I like this when Empower Network was first around. Somebody did that to Mike Dillard on Facebook. They posted an image of Mike Dillard and they said join Mike Dillard's team.

Mike Dillard has never been in Empower Network. Now he loves us, right? He loves us and he chats with me from time to time. But no, he's not in it. So he sent me an email and he said, first he was angry in the email.

He sent me an email, this is your story. He says, dude, this person is using my thing. What's your deal? I sent him back and I said I'll clean it up within an hour. I contacted the person.

I froze their account. I said your account is going to be frozen until you take down all these images. You can't do this. And the person said, oh, what can I do? He said, dude, you can't take other people's images and copyrights and make ads for them.

It's illegal. He said, oh, sorry man, I didn't know that. I said, here's the deal. I'll allow you to turn your account back on if you apologize to all these people. He sent out an apology and turned his account back on.

And Mike Dillard was like, holy crap, you dealt with that fast. Thanks, man. You know what I mean? I appreciate that. Let's not pretend something we don't need to pretend.

We can build off of real success, off of trust in the marketplace, after lifting people up and telling the truth for a change. Because that's what started Empower. You know, that's what made us great. Guys, I believe great things are happening here. Here's what I would do.

The bonus pool has started already for this week. I believe that upsell video is going live tonight. And I would get out there and I would get pumped. I would get excited. I would get excited.

I would get pumped up. I would start marching into the future, let go of the past. If you need to rebuild, rebuild. Because remember, if you are not willing to do what got you here, you are not going to get there. What happens if you are walking on a trail and you go 6 miles on a 12-mile trail and then you just sit down expecting to finish?

You never get there. What happens if you start driving a car and you start aiming towards a destination, but then halfway towards your destination you go off and you take another road and you get distracted by the scenery? You need to get back on course. What happens when you are out there building and you are sponsoring people every day, and then all of a sudden you stop and you start clinging to your leaders? And because you are clinging to your leaders, they start clinging to their leaders.

And because they start clinging to their leaders, they start clinging to their leaders. And it goes down in a chain in the organization. And everybody stops producing. And then because you are clinging to your leaders you become unattractive and they leave. And because they leave you get resentful and then you cling onto the few that you've got left rather than doing what got you there, which is what?

Which is bringing in new people. It's by showing your leaders that you are going to succeed with or without them. It's by showing your people that you are going to lead by example. It's by going out there and making a new sales video. It's by getting at your camera and making a new video and putting it on your blog.

It's by getting out there and doing what honestly got you here. That is what is going to build your business. What got you here? Sponsoring people. What's going to get you there?

Sponsoring people. How can you win the contest? Sponsor the most people. I challenge you to outsponsor Michelangelo Lopez if you are a guru on this call. I challenge you to do it because he is the guru eater.

That guy has been bringing in 8 to 10 people a day with one of the tiniest lists in Power Network. I am honestly in awe of you Michelangelo. You are doing great things. What got you here continuing to do it is what is going to get you to the next level because that is how you build a network marketing organization. You march to the beat of the same message for a long period of time.

And you've got to repeat the message, and you've got to repeat the message, and you've got to repeat the message, and you've got to repeat the message, and you've got to repeat the message. And some people get it and some people don't. And sometimes I want to ring it into people's heads and I want to say, God man, I can show you how to have a great life if you just got it man. Just get it. How do you do it?

Get two new customers a day. Get two new customers a day. I was on a call and people say that's a high standard and that's difficult for people. I say yes, it's difficult because I want to be the company owner that's honest because I grew up in an industry that said do two exposures a day. And it wasn't enough.

And I did two exposures a day and because it's all I was aiming for, it's all I ever hit. And because it was all I ever hit, I never made any money because that's what I was being taught to do was two exposures a day, hand out two DVDs a day, and do a weekly meeting. Now is that a bad message? No. It builds big organizations because you get a lot of people producing very small amounts which is how you build big teams.

Remember, network marketing is not built by the superhero guys. Network marketing is built by a large group of people all doing a few simple things over a significant period of time. I got that from Eric Worre who was then, him and Jeff Olson invented that whole two-a-day. So I'm not insulting it. It works like unbelievable magic.

But here's the truth, and I've got to be honest about what kind of business I want to build. I never succeeded doing that because I needed to produce more. So I tell people to aim for the stars. I tell people to aim high. I tell people don't count on five to get five to get five.

Go out there and get two people a day because I'll show you how to make some money getting people, getting moving numbers, getting some sales every day. Because what do we do in network marketing? We sell all day and night is what we do. This is what we do is we sell. We depend on the systems in the company to provide the products and the sales tools, but we sell all day and night.

If we're not out there in the marketplace and we're not selling, I had to be honest about myself these last few months. I said, David, I had to look myself in the mirror. I had to take my shirt off and look at myself and see how much more skinny I had gotten as a marketer and say, I need to beef myself up. I need to go out there and I need to sell some stuff. I've got to lead the charge.

I've got to lead the vision. I've got to lead the fire. I can't expect somebody else to do what I'm gifted to do. So I just made the best sales message we've ever had, approved by the lawyers and Edgy. I've got to go out there and sell as a leader, and so do you.

That's how we got to where we're at. We didn't get here by sitting down, expecting to get to the finish line because we've walked halfway. We got here by marching. We got here by leading the example. We got here by being who we are.

We got here by not taking excuses from ourselves or from other human beings. Remember, if you don't make excuses from yourself, you don't have to take excuses from other human beings. Well, here's the problem I had the last few months, guys. I was making excuses for myself. We were fighting back and forth about sales messages, and I never just stepped up and said, well, God damn it, I'll make new ones then.

Well, whose fault is that? That's not people for wanting to be compliant. That's not their fault. That's my fault for giving myself excuses. Gosh, how long does it take to make a sales video?

Well, if I drink coffee all day, I can make a damn good one in about three days, I've discovered recently. So I go out there and I'm going to do whatever it takes. And I'm not going to make excuses for it. And I'm going to be a good father to my kids. And I'm going to build a business, and I'm going to have a life too, and I'm going to be an authentic representation of this message because this is who we are, and this is what we're really about.

This is what we're really about, empowering people. Sometimes to empower people, you've got to call them on their shit. You've got to say, hey, you ain't doing what got you here. They say, yeah, I'm doing what I got. I'm doing about what got me here.

No, you ain't. I was on your list before. I saw how you were marketing with passion before. No, you ain't doing it. I saw the sales videos you made before.

Where are the good sales videos now? Where are the messages now? Where are the webinars going on now? You got sick of doing it. Why?

Because you got fat and happy at the top, not realizing that you love to do that stuff. I love to get on these calls. Why ain't I been on more Monday night calls? Because I've been making excuses about it. Oh, I'll pass it off.

People need me here. And I know that, guys. Why am I here? Because I ain't making excuses ever again. Because I've realized who we are.

Do you guys realize who you are? Do you realize who we are? Do we realize who we can be together? Why do people love me? Because I call out like this.

Some of this I learned from Dave Sharp. We had some drama going on. It was one of our events, and I remember Aaron Rashkin, Dave Sharp, and Tony Rush pulled me in a room, and they said, Dave, this is your fault. Solve it. You know what you feel like when somebody – it's like you're naked, and you're trying to hide in the corner.

It's like the Garden of Eden story. I always love quoting from the Bible, just because I grew up in a religious family. Maybe I should even go to church or something, because I quote from the Bible so much. But you know what? It's like the Adam and Eve story.

It's like God comes into the Garden of Eden, and Adam and Eve are hiding. And he says, why are you hiding? And they say, because we're naked, and we feel ashamed, because God was calling them out. He said, why are you ashamed? Is it because you ate the fruit that I told you not to eat?

And then Adam, what does he do? He blames his wife. Right? Oh, she made me do it. Isn't that human behavior, ain't it?

Now I don't need to believe that story to think that it's just a bad-ass story about life. But the thing is, I'm telling you guys something about that. I'm telling you something here. Do you feel ashamed when somebody calls you out sometimes? Well, that's not a bad thing, because I do too.

And I want to hide from the light. But you know the better thing to do is to step out and to take responsibility. It's to step out and to admit who you are. It's to step out and admit your flaws, and admit your weaknesses, and let the light shine on it, and say, here, here's who I am. And if you don't like it, then get off the train.

Here's who Empower Network is. If you don't like it, get out. Sometimes people hear me talk, and they say, Dave, you shouldn't be so strong. And I say, hey, here's the deal. You'll go be in some wussy company somewhere else with a wussy owner who won't admit their problems.

David Sharpe's been in one. They went out of business. I went in one. They got together in a board meeting and decided to close their doors. Right?

Go there. Fine. Go to a company that's going to send you a letter because you're marketing on the Internet, and they say, no, we're not going to allow that anymore. Right? Oh, we're thankful for the customers, but we just don't think you deserve to pay anymore.

Thank you. Goodbye. Give you the finger. Right? Fine.

Go there. Hang out. I was at the event, and somebody came up to me, and he was heartbroken the first day of the event, but I walked everybody through a forgiveness process, and he let it go. And he came up to me and said, you know, Dave, I've been building a company for three years. And the company took my check three months ago.

He says, three years of my life, and I've been holding on to it, he says, because I'd finally made it. He said, but I've let it go. And he said, I'm going to show them who's boss. I'm going to show them who has victory. I'm going to show them the truth.

I'm going to walk out there in the light, being who I am. And if they don't want me, that's fine. I'll take my army elsewhere. Because that's how you act when you let go of the past. That's how you act.

You know, Dave Sharpe said something to me the other week, and I love Dave Sharpe. You know, one of the things I love about Dave Sharpe the best, if you want to know the truth and the thing I love the best about Dave Sharpe, I'm going to be honest with you here, right? Because Dave Sharpe and I fight fucking tooth and nail about everything. And the reason we do that is because we come from opposing viewpoints, right? And we will not do something until we agree on it.

I was talking to Jonathan Cronson here, and I said, well, this is what I think, but I'm not going to do something out of unity. Because I grew up in the Mormon church. I was a Mormon when I grew up. And the Mormon is ran by a council of presidents and apostles and things like that, so they call them over there. And I'm not Mormon today, but I love Mormons.

I think they're awesome. I'm not one of these people that's going to bash where I came from. But you know what? They do not act out of unity. They don't act out of unity.

They wait until they're unified, and then they take action. They wait until they're unified, and they take action. Why? Because they know that if they act out of unity, it's going to fall apart. And you better believe there are some strong personalities there, right?

You better thank God if you've got somebody in your life who's going to disagree with you. Dave Sharp and I come up sometimes. We get on a call, and we disagree about stuff for two hours. And then we finally think of a new way, and then I listen, and he listens. And we say, well, what about if we did it like this?

And that's where the magic is created, in unity. It's in being unified. You know, the United States, there's this great story about the Constitution where the Founding Fathers got together, and these are the kind of stories that's not taught in schools because they don't teach unity in school. They don't teach being unified. They don't teach marching with a team.

They don't teach teamwork. They say, hey, just do it all yourself. Do your homework by yourself. Sit in a corner by yourself and study alone, right? They're not teaching you to be unified with other people, right?

God knows why. Here's how the United States was formed. A bunch of people got together who were rebels. They were like — you call right-wing people right-wing today? They're like so left-wing compared to the Founding Fathers.

It's like a different planet that they lived on. The Founding Fathers get together, and you think they agreed about the Constitution? You think they just got it up and said, let's come up with some scheme? No, here's how they came together. They came together, and they fought tooth and nail for weeks.

And the description of it, it was like nothing could possibly — we could not create a system of government that could last. We could not create one. But then here's what they did. They got humble, right? They got humble, right?

And here's what happened. They decided — I can't remember who made the suggestion — that they all kneeled down and they prayed, right? Now, I don't know if it was the prayer, and I don't know if it was acting humble, okay? And being willing to submit to higher guidance, internal guidance, your unconscious mind guidance, whatever it is. They got together, and they knelt down, and they prayed.

And they asked God to help them. And then the description is like, there was like a spirit that fell down, and it was like the Constitution came out of that spirit. And they acted in unity, and they all agreed. Why? Because it's more powerful to be unified than it is to be right.

You know what I mean? I was talking to one of my friends the other week. My friend got on the call with me. He's like, you know, David, why don't you just take this slide out of the presentation that says, don't be a wussy. He says, you know, that turns people off, right?

And he says, you know, I've got this professional group of people around me, right? And he says, you know, they don't like stuff like that. But you know what he was doing? He was constantly going to these professional people and telling them, hey, don't worry about Dave Wood yet. He's a little bit unprofessional, you know, but don't worry about it.

So they say, oh yeah, yeah, you know, we don't worry about it. You know, we think it's unprofessional. But he's creating this perception. But here's the thing. I got on the phone with him, and I had an honest conversation.

I said, well, let me be honest with you about that there, bud. I said, let's look at my front line and look at your front line. And I said, I have the most diverse front line in the history of network marketing that's successful. There is nobody in network marketing that has a more diverse group of success than I do. Nobody.

I said, I'm not being cocky about it. I'm not saying I'm the best. I'm not saying whammy is right, because the truth is, you might not like working with diversity. You might only like working with professionals. But you know, I want to work with the Justin Berengias.

I want to work with the Dave Woods. I also want to work with the professionals like Tony Rush, right? I want to work with everybody. I said, but let's look at my front line and look at your front line. Who are you getting?

He said, professionals. I said, then that's great, and we want more of them in power. I said, who am I getting? He says, everybody. And I said, you want to know why I get everybody?

I said, here's why I get everybody, and here's why I get everybody succeeding around me. Because I don't think I'm better than anybody. Because I don't think a professional is better than Justin Berengia, and I don't think Justin Berengia is better than a professional. But would you see another company where Justin Berengia had earned a million dollars in two years? Not ever in the history of network marketing, but yes, he does here.

Why? Because we believe in everyone. And I don't think I'm better than the lowest person in this company, and I don't think I'm better than the highest, and I don't think they're better than me. I don't think Vic is better than me, and I don't think I'm better than Vic. Right?

And I said, here's the question. What kind of church grows faster? Some of you guys in here are born-again Christians, and you're like, I don't like that because, you know, they don't talk like Jesus all the time. But hey, here's the truth. What kind of church grows faster?

The church that allows the lawyer to sit next to the prostitute? Or the church that only lets people in with a suit and a tie? What's growing faster in the world today? Right? It's the people that are accepting of everyone.

It's the people that want everybody to succeed. It's the people where everybody's welcome. It's the people where in Empower Network, you're welcome no matter where you come from. You're welcome no matter what deal you promote. You're welcome no matter how you market as long as you're not breaking laws.

And we'll help you understand if you're not breaking the laws, we'll at least try. Unless you're just being ruthless, then we might have to take some action. Right? Because we need to stay around. And sometimes staying around means we protect ourselves against people that are rogue.

If we're going to tell them and they correct it, well, that's different than somebody who just keeps being rogue. You know what I'm saying? Being rogue isn't cool all the time like it is in the X-Men. You know what I mean? But even in the X-Men, what does rogue do?

Rogue is the superhero female that when she touches other people, she drains them of their life force to get power. That's what the rogue is doing in Empower Network. They're out there breaking laws. Well, guys, we need to come down on that stuff. And we need to be honest about our message.

Can we stay around if people are putting income disclosures all over Facebook and not doing disclosures, putting income claims all over Facebook and not doing disclosures, and we're not coming down on it? Well, for heaven's sakes, it doesn't take too much time to put an income disclosure in a claim. Right? Can we make claims? We can make claims.

But for heaven's sakes, do income disclosures. Right? Do you want us to stay around? Nodding your head, thank God for compliance. Right?

I accept everybody, and that's why I have everybody around me because you can look into my eyes and there is no judgment whatsoever. And I don't care if you smell bad. I don't care if you look funny. I don't care if your teeth are rotten. And I don't care if you're in a suit and a tie, and you look great, and you smell good, and you're fresh, and you've got hot girls around you.

It doesn't matter to me. Right? It doesn't matter to me. Why? Because I believe in you.

Because that's what Empower Network is really all about. Empower Network isn't trying to force you into some kind of a box where you have to do it like me to succeed. No, Empower Network is trying to help you realize that the only box is there from your relatives. The only box is there from your school. The only box is there from society, and we're trying to remove the box and say, hey, here's a system, here's a formula, and you can follow it, and you can be you.

You can be you here. You can be empowered here. You can step into your abilities here. You can step into who you are here. That's what Empower Network is really all about.

Right? And that's why we show everybody who's boss, because we're not the boss. I'm not the guru. Because I'm the here, and I'm like the anti-guru, and it's not because I don't like gurus. I love these guys, but here's why I'm the anti-guru, because I want you to be your own guru, because I want you to listen to your own internal guidance systems, whether that's God, and you're in a Christian church, or whether you believe in the universe like Justin Berengia, right, or whether you just think it's your unconscious mind, or you just get a feeling and a hunch inside about something, I want you to listen to your own internal guidance systems.

Hey, in your internal guidance systems, they say, hey, I want to go do something else, and for heaven's sakes, there ain't no pressure from my side. Get the hell out of here, and, you know, we're going to love you and wave to you on the way off as our train goes by, and you miss it. That's fine. You know what I'm saying? But let's not spread lies out there in the marketplace.

Let's not bash somebody else to build our deal. Hey, look, people can bash us to build their deal all day and night if they want to, but not us. We're better than them. We're better than them. If somebody's going to come out here, and they're going to slam in Power Network to build their own deal, hey, by the way, in Power Networks, there's scam.

Here's why. Join my deal. Here's a link. Right? They can do that if they want to do that.

Let's be better. They can do that if they want to be that, if that's who they want to be, but let's be better. Let's be the better ones. Let's be the ones that lift other people up, that only build a business by building other people up. Fine if you want to participate in controversy, if that's what you want to do.

You can participate in controversy, but let's not tear other people down with our own controversy. Right? It's not worth it. It's not worth it. It doesn't attract good people, and it doesn't attract people who are going to stick in, doesn't attract people that are going to build the dream here, doesn't attract good people.

Let's not do that. Let's not be like those other people. They can do that, but we're higher than that. We're better than that. And we're not better than that, because we're better than them.

We're better than that, because we've learned something better. Because we've learned that we can lift other people up, and build a living by lifting other people up, instead of tearing them down. what Empower Network is really all about, and I'm going to challenge you guys here to be greater. Yeah, I've called you out on your nakedness, and some of you have been hiding in the corner, but now it's time to step up and to make a new commitment to your vision. A new commitment to your vision.

Empower Network is going to make some changes this year, and they are all going to be in your favor and in the favor of the company staying around for a long time. Are we going to be taking people's checks and running people out and saying no, no, no, no, no? No. That's not who we are. We have to say no to stay around, and that's not who we are.

We're a company that's here for the people, and remember that. Remember that. So let's silence the critics, not by what we say, but what we do. Not by what we say, by what we do. Right?

If you're a critic and you're on the call, I will silence you, and it will not be by what I say. It will be by what I do, and you will stand in nakedness and shame in the corner as I march by you in my train. And I'm fine with that. I'm cool with that. I'm cool with you not being on board the train.

I'm cool with you sitting there and criticizing what you want to criticize, and I'm cool with you being an asshole, and I'm not going to stoop to your level, and I'm not going to publicly bash anybody to build Empower Network, not ever. I'm going to call people out, and you know what? Have I mentioned anybody's names on this call? I mentioned Frank Kern, but you know what I was saying? I was saying we're in the wrong.

We're in the wrong. Right? Was he right about what he said about Empower Network? No, he wasn't right about what he said about Empower Network. Frank Kern doesn't understand MLM, but you know what?

He doesn't want MLM. He doesn't want to build MLM, and he shouldn't have to put up with the hassle of us putting image ads with his face on it and have to constantly be calling legal teams to get people to take ads down that truthfully are illegal. And maybe you guys have just been doing that because you don't know, but now you know. Now we're set straight, aren't we? So let's not do that, and then he doesn't have to bother.

Right? So I ain't going to call. I ain't going to do. I ain't going to stoop to people's level. Why?

Not because I'm better than them, because I believe they're doing the best they can. But let's show them not by what we say, but what we do. If somebody thinks we're collapsing, they can think we're collapsing. Let's show them the truth not by what we say, but by what we do. And then they're going to think we're collapsing when we have a half million members, and then they're going to think we're collapsing when we've got a million members, and then they think, well, they're surely on the brink of collapse when we've got two million, and then 10 million, and then they'll finally get so old, and so they'll have so much bitterness inside from being wrong their whole life that they'll pass out of a heart attack in 40 years.

And then we'll still be marching by. And guys, what side are you going to be on? Are you going to be on the side of somebody that's sitting there, and they're being critical about everything? Are you going to fester? Are you going to realize something?

Dave Sharp put something great, and I keep calling Dave Sharp tonight, don't I, man? Just because this man's taught me a lot. He's taught me a lot being around him. I love Dave Sharp. He put something on Facebook the other day, and he says, when somebody's giving you constant negative energy, he says, separate yourself from them.

Because it's like Jim Rohn said, you can run with 1,000. You can run with 1,000, but you can't drag free. Let me repeat that again. You can run with 1,000. You can run with an army.

You can run with 10,000. You can run with a million, but you can't drag free. If somebody's taking you down, let them go. Understand? Let's let it go.

A leader wants to leave, let them go. If they want to come back, they can come back. Let them go. They want to go promote another deal, let them go. Don't try to force them to stick around.

Dave Sharp said something else the other day. I was on a call with Dave Sharp, and he says, you know what I'm going to do? He says, if our leaders want to leave, he says, I love them. He says, but I'm getting new leaders, and I'm putting a million people in the deal. He says, because I'm Dave Sharp, and I am the creator of armies.

Right? I'm Dave Wood, and I cast the vision. And casting a vision is like casting seeds. Some of the seeds, they fall on fertile ground. Some of the seeds, they fall on thorns.

Some of the seeds, they fall on rocks. Some of the seeds, they fall on dry ground that hasn't been watered for years, on unfertile soil. And sometimes we judge ourselves by the unfertile soil, by the rocks. Right? By the dry ground.

But no. We need to look at the seeds that are cast on fertile ground and water those seeds. And how do you water your seeds? You pay attention to the people that are producing. You pay attention to the people that are still here, and who are still here and have a vision, and who want success.

You pay attention to the people that are doing something, that are out there in the market, like Michelangelo Lopez, who apparently he doesn't care if there's a swap. It doesn't matter to him. He's going to bring in ten people a day. Right? You pay attention to the people that are coming up.

And you edify them, and you edify them, and you edify them, and you edify them, and you edify them, and you edify them. What do you do with the seeds that landed on thorns? You stop talking about them for Heavens sakes. It's not worth paying attention to. It's not worth paying attention to it guys.

It's not worth it. Talk about something else. Talk about the people that are winning. Who in your team is new that's winning? And you cast more seeds.

And then you find the people that are winning. And you cast more seeds. And you find the people that are winning. And you cast more seeds. You find the people that are winning.

And you cast more seeds. You find the people that are winning. You cast more seeds. And pretty soon, pretty soon you start growing a few trees. And pretty soon the trees turn into a forest.

And pretty soon it turns into a rainforest. And pretty soon all you can see is green. As far as the eye can see. Because you kept casting the seeds. That's how you build a team.

It's not by holding on to the past. Because sometimes the seeds they grow plants that start to grow. And you're like it's promising. And then it withers and dies. And then you spend all your time continuing to water it.

And you're casting water. And you're casting water. And it just is continuing to wither no matter what you do. Until you sit down and you cry. And you say, I can't see any more seeds.

My tree died. But no. That's not what a farmer does. He keeps planting. He keeps planting.

And he pays attention to the strong plants that are there when the wind comes. That are there when the rain doesn't fall. That are there in the good times and the bad times. That keep growing no matter what's going on around them. That keep fighting no matter what distractions come along.

That are keeping focused. Right? That's how you build a team. How are we going to become great? We're going to become great by casting a new future.

By leading by charge by example. By being who we are. And who we're destined to be. That's what Empower Network is all about. So I'm going to end this call on that note.

Let go of the past. I love you. I appreciate you. Let's put an end to the bullshit guys. And I'm just sick and tired of sitting around letting people, letting people say this bullshit and not calling it out.

I'm so sick of people saying stuff about Vic guys. I'm just so sick of it. You know that? I'm so sick of it. I'm so sick of people saying he's unethical because he's the number one first month income earner in the history of network marketing and so they're jealous.

I'm so sick of it. It's such bullshit. There ain't nobody I've ever seen love his team more than I've seen Vic love his team. Why does Vic make more money than him? Because who's Vic out there bashing?

Who does Vic ever bash? You ever see Vic post a Facebook post out there and just tear somebody down for two hours because he's bored and drunk and feels small on the inside? Never. Why? Because he's ethical.

Because he's not this person that idiots are out there promoting because they're trying to get a sign up into their little, don't join Vic, join me because I need a sign up. Right? I'm so sick of people bashing our leaders. And I just ain't going to put up with it anymore. I ain't going to put up with the bullshit anymore.

And if you want to bash one of my leaders then come up to me and swing at my face and I'll knock your lights out. Because I love my people. I love our leaders. I love the people that have stood by me through my hard times. I love the people that have stuck with me in Empower Network.

I love them. They're my family, guys. You touch my family I'll break your arms. That's how I feel about it. That's how I feel about it.

Right? I love them. I'm going to defend them. Why? Because I know their hearts and they're doing the right things.

They're doing it. They're out there in the marketplace making shit happen while other people are being naysayers. And there ain't nobody I love more than somebody who makes shit happen. That's what Empower Network is about. So let's go make shit happen in the bigger way that we've ever done.
