Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Tracy Walker, and I am super excited to be hosting this week's Empower Hour call. And, you know, as you guys know, we are getting ready to have some excitement and some fun this week in reference to the affiliates that are part of Empower Network. But this call is really to engage not just the affiliates of our company, but also our customers, as well as our guests who come here to learn and get valuable information that can be applied to any business, no matter what it is that you are doing. So just to give you a little bit of background of who I am and why I'm even speaking to you this evening, I am first, I'm the number one producer, number one female income earner inside of our company, Empower Network.
I believe that right now. I am number five in all-time income earners inside of Empower Network. And, you know, my journey has been one that I am very appreciative of and very humbled by. I got started in the arena of network marketing back in 2007 as a result of the fork of the real estate market. I had a real estate business that did pretty well from 2002 until 2006.
And then when everything went downhill in the long run, I was able to get a job. And then when the laws changed, everything that I valued went down with it. My house went into foreclosure, the one that I built. My cars went into repossession. I filed for bankruptcy.
I think two times I filed for bankruptcy. And pretty much my life was in shambles. And so a good friend of mine introduced me to the world of network marketing. And I jumped on it. I jumped on it right away because I just refused.
You know, I am psychologically unemployable. And I've known that for a very long time. Without getting into a whole big humdrum story, I was laid off of a corporate position in 2001, well, 2002, almost immediately after the events of September the 11th. And as a result, I vowed to myself that even having a master's degree, which I do have in business, concentrated in marketing, that it made no difference. If a company needed to reduce its costs and its expenses, then the people that cost the most would always be the first to go.
And I happened to fit that category. And so when they laid me off, I vowed that I would never go back to corporate America. So that was the reason for even starting a real estate business. But if we jump back forward, I knew that I could do this network marketing thing because I just, I wasn't going back. I wasn't going to punch a clock again.
I was not going to go sit down and get my resume together and beg a bunch of people to hire me and prove that I was the best person for a job that, you know, I was going to be in my opinion wasn't going to pay me what I really believed I was worth. It would pay me something good enough to pay the bills, but I just didn't believe that even that was good enough for me. I just knew there was more. And so I started into the network marketing arena. And I literally began to do a lot of home parties and hotel meetings.
And I presented a lot. I was still living in Chicago at this time. And our team in this particular company, we were the fastest growing team. in the entire company, and so I don't have a sob story about my experience in network marketing. Some people do.
I don't have a sob story about it. I made money in that business, but I worked my butt off, to be quite frank with you, and I drove all around. I did these parties. I knew my presentation. I was able to answer questions and do all these things.
Here was what my problem was, and this is why I turned to the Internet in 2008. After a year of driving around and doing these presentations, I realized that winter in Chicago, it's freezing cold, and it takes 30 minutes to even get your car warmed up and shoveled out of the snow, let alone you put on some nice business casual clothes, some heels. You've got to put on boots before you do all that. You've got to put on leg warmers. It takes another 30 minutes just to get yourself together to even go outside.
Then I have to drive another 30, 40. I have to drive another 30, 45 minutes across the city, drive super slow because there's salt on the ground. Then by the time I got there, took all these clothes off, got myself cooled off because you're burning up under scarves and hats and earmuffs all the time, and changed my shoes and ready to present, there's one freaking person sitting in the house. I would walk in, and I would be pissed off that I have done all of this in the name of being dedicated and committed to my business, and one person was there. The way the laws of numbers work, very rarely do you get 100% of the people to sign up.
If I walk into a place and there's one person, I knew more times than not that there were not going to be any sign-ups that day, and that person was not going to have $500, or they needed to talk to their husband first, or I had to wait until tax return time and all this, and so I was frustrated with that. I went to the Internet in 2008 to figure out how I could automate. Now, like many people, I didn't come to the Internet to get leads, and I didn't come to the Internet to really get more sign-ups. My whole point in coming to the Internet was how could I automate myself? There had to be a way that I could record a presentation and put it on YouTube or put it on, at that time, MySpace or put it somewhere, and then when people wanted to find out more information about the company or get the details of the paper, I had to go to the Internet, or whatever that was, that I could just point them to a video that I had already prerecorded, and then I could follow up with them after they did that, and that was my sole purpose for getting on the Internet.
Well, once I got there, the first thing I did was I found myself a mentor, right, and I followed what this guy said, and this was 2008. In fact, it was March 2008. I was completely brand new. I was sitting in a house that was being foreclosed on. I didn't know what was happening with it.
I was hiding my card at this point. I was hiding my card at this point in time, and my house was beautiful, and everything looked great on the outside, but on the inside, it was nothing but turmoil, so I would sit in my house, and whatever this man told me to do, I pretty much didn't question it. I pretty much didn't beg him to show me a bunch of secret strategies. I pretty much didn't beg him to allow me to shortcut the system. If he told me to jump, the only thing I did was ask how high, and that's how hungry I was because I figured this man's already making millions of dollars, and he's in his mid-20s.
At that time, I was older than him, right? If I'm older than him, and he's making millions of dollars on the Internet, who am I to question him about the processes that I initially asked him to show me in the first place? Well, I wouldn't have been anybody to do that, so I didn't, and when he told me that I needed three things, then that's just what I did. The first thing he told me I needed was a blog. Now, ironically enough, you should know that you need a blog, right?
But this was 2008, all right? So I needed a blog. I needed a blog. He told me I needed a lead capture page, and he told me that I needed an autoresponder. So I needed the same three things that ironically, I'm sure, sound very familiar to you, but the only difference was that five years ago, there was no automated process for a lot of this stuff.
There was no one sharing campaign codes to get all the pre-filled autoresponder messages. There was no one really writing blog posts in that way and, you know, doing YouTube marketing. All these little fancy techniques and tricks. All these little things that we've got now didn't exist back then, and so I had to teach myself. I taught myself how to build my own blog from scratch.
I taught myself HTML code, just enough. Like, I am in no way an HTML expert, but, you know, I know a little bit. I'm not going to bold my words, and I know how to make them italicized. I know how to underline them. I know how to do those basic things.
I know how to insert a picture or a video, enough to just get the message out. I had to teach myself a little bit of copywriting and start to learn how do I condense. I had to convey email messages that encourage people to open them. I started to learn about the importance of a subject line and the importance of the body and the importance of a call to action and how to combine these different things so that you have a very, you know, you're able to monetize your list even better. I had to learn how to create a lead capture page.
You know, I had Dreamweaver, which was this software program back then. I know what the hell I was doing, but I had that. I had all these different tools and things I had to buy. Just to kind of put all the pieces of this crazy puzzle together. And lo and behold, it took me about seven or eight months before I realized that I still didn't know anything.
I had taken all this time and I still didn't know anything, right? So at the end of 2008, close to the end of 2008, I came across another system. And during this period of time is where I actually met Nicole Cooper. For those of you that don't know Nicole as Cooper. you will, and if you don't know, you should know her, you know, do what you need to do to find out about it.
But I met her and during that time, Nicole was homeless. She was living with some friends, her and her husband. She had just had her first, her first child, Chloe, her daughter. she was bankrupt and she didn't have Jack to her name, just like me. And she found a free report that I had.
She called me and we became friends. Needless to say, over the years, we've become very, very great friends. In fact, she's like my sister. And so. We began to talk and we began to talk.
And we began to share ideas with one another. Now at that time, I didn't realize this, but I had myself an accountability partner. I had an accountability partner, someone who I could bounce ideas off of, someone who she could bounce ideas off of, and someone who I felt was of similar caliber to me in terms of, go get it-ness in terms of drive, in terms of hunger, in terms of the attitude about doing whatever it takes, I felt that we were very much alike in those areas and that we could work very well together. And so she would mention things to me, I would mention things to her, and I mentioned this system to her and we got involved in this system and we began sharing it with a bunch of people. This was an internet system.
This was not a traditional network marketing system. Now in this system, I began to build on a lot of the skills that I had already taught myself, right? Which means that now I'm interacting with a bunch of other people and it gave me a platform to teach people the very little that I knew, right? I knew how to build a blog. So I was teaching.
I was teaching people how to do what I knew how to do. Now, was I making millions of dollars? Was I the number one earner in the company? No, I wasn't. But there were tons of people that were just like I was seven months ago who didn't know the little bit that I knew.
So I taught what I knew to this group of people. Anyone that I signed up, we would do webinars every single night. Anyone who was associated with me at that time, 2008, 2009, they know that I am telling the truth. We would do webinars every single night. We would be on there till...
You know, 9, 10, 11 o'clock at night. We would do them on Saturday mornings, whatever it took. I did not care about my sponsor in the system. I didn't care about... In fact, my sponsor in that system was from South Africa.
I had never spoken to this man a day in my life because I found out about it through the internet. I didn't know who he was. He wasn't trying to send me support. He wasn't giving me the first steps to success. He wasn't trying to give me a blueprint.
And, you know, he wasn't trying to give me... Oh, help me every time. I didn't know who he was. I need something. That didn't exist.
And so I had to figure it out on my own. I just became the leader that I wished I had, essentially. And we did this. And over the next year, that put me in a position to be able to speak on stage. The very first time I ever spoke on stage in front of a network marketing slash internet marketing audience was in, I think, October of 2009.
And from that point forward, everything changed. Everything changed for me. I came into contact with... A gentleman by the name of David Wood. And David Wood, at this time, somewhere around there, was living in a van.
Him and his wife, Ashley. You guys may know that he is the CEO and the co-founder of Empower Network. But he wasn't then. He wasn't in 2009. He was living in a van with his wife, Ashley.
He had been fired from Greenpeace. And he figured that he needed to do something online as well. And so he, some kind of way, aligned himself with this exact same system. And within the first, I don't know, a few months or so, he rose to being the number one producer and earner in this system, right? And so he and I would talk from time to time on Skype.
And we were cool. We were friends. You know, I've always said, you know, Dave, in the beginning, that, you know, if you know David Wood, you know he's kind of quirky in his own little way. But, you know, at the beginning, like, who is this guy? And what is he talking about?
You know, maybe the way you guys are doing right now. You see him now with his long curly hair. And he wears shorts and these T-shirts and flip-flops. And you're not sure whether or not you should put any value to what is coming out of his mouth. Well, let me tell you that after knowing David for the past four years, I knew that when he came up with the idea of Empower Network in 2011, that if I were going to bet my money on anybody, it would be this quirky, long hair, curly hair guy that used to live in a van.
Why? Because he was a genius. And David would say something. And David was doing things and do things that you could not argue with. You cannot argue with the results.
You cannot argue with the way that he was building a business successfully, doing it similarly to the way that I was, which was all through logging, article marketing, writing content, right, and doing video. David and I were not paid marketers. And to be honest with you, I still do not do a lot of paid advertising. So a lot of you that think that you need to do paid advertising. to be successful, well, that is your framework.
That is your blueprint for what you think you need to be successful, and maybe you're being successful with that, maybe you're not. I don't know. All I'm telling you is that it's not impossible to be successful without it because I became successful primarily without it. Ninety-nine percent of all of my marketing right now is based on content and free marketing, right, social media. It just is.
So anyway, I met David Wood. He founded Empower Network, and he told me about it, and you know what? I shared it with Nicole, and Nicole was eight months pregnant at this time with her second child, Carson, and we were at another event I was speaking at, and we were in Orlando. David was speaking at that event as well, and Nicole was not interested because Nicole had already been very successful in another company. She had an organization of over 12,000 people inside of a network marketing company.
And when she walked away from that company, she had a bad taste in her mouth about the industry. And as a result, she wanted nothing to do with what she perceived to be not being able to help people succeed. She just didn't want to do it. She felt guilty that she could do it, but that she couldn't help others do it. And it seemed that programs that were out there just were not designed to help the new person getting started.
So she didn't want to hear anything David had to say out of his mouth. Well, I listened, and I said, well, you know what? Nick, I don't have any other options. Now, you've got to remember, this is 2011. I'm doing good in business.
I had created products. I had spoken on stage. I had some, you know, some social media fame and, you know, built lists. And I was doing okay. It wasn't like I was back in 2008, right?
I had grown since then, just three years later. But Nicole didn't want to hear it. So I got started because I felt the same thing that David. So I got started because I felt the same thing that David. Which was, we've got to bridge the gap.
We've got to figure out a way to bridge this gap. And so when he introduced it to me, I said, I'm in. I said, I'm in. I said, I was in without a website. I said, I was in without understanding the pay plan completely.
I said, I was in without knowing exactly how I was going to get paid. I said, I was in without a merchant to accept my payment because I actually filled out a paper form, wrote down my credit card information, and I faxed it in to Dave Sharp, I believe. And then Dave Sharp processed my payment, I believe, on his kitchen table. If it wasn't him, I think his now-fiancee, Erin, processed the payment probably from the kitchen table of the house they were living in at that time, and that's how I got inside of Empower Network October the 31st of, actually, October the 26th of 2011. So I've moved along since then, and I already gave you where I am today.
I've already shared with you that I'm the number one female income earner in the company and number five of all time. So what does that mean to you? Well, my goal tonight. on this call, is really to give you the formula that I use to be able to do that. And it's a very, very simple formula, and here's what I already know.
I already know that I'm going to say this formula, and some of you are not going to write it down. In fact, some of you don't think it's important enough because you think you've already heard it. I already know that. Some of you are going to write it down, and you're going to say, oh, Tracy, yes, thank you, thank you, this was so great, and then you're not going to even do anything with it. You're going to look at it, and then you're going to hear somebody's somebody else say something else, and you're going to discredit everything you just heard me say, and you're going to jump over there, and you're going to realize that it's the same thing, but you would have wasted time, all right?
And then there's another group of you that are going to listen to what I'm saying, it's going to resonate with you, and you're going to actually have the speed of implementation on your side. I will tell you, energy or money loves speed. Money loves speed, and money is energy, right? So if money likes speed, and money is energy, then that's the way to go. That means that your energy needs to be faster.
Some of you are moving too slow. You're doing things too slow. You hear something, and it takes you five days to implement. You have to learn to hear something and actually do it almost at the same time that your mentor is telling you to do it. That's how I was able to go from not knowing anything about Internet marketing in 2008, only knowing I needed to blog, a lead capture page, and an autoresponder, and maneuvering myself to a place where a year later I was thinking, you know, I'm going to be on a stage at an international marketing conference.
And so I'm going to give you this formula, and all I can do is hope that you utilize it, that you internalize it, and that you implement it. You know, I could say a billion things to you. Any of the leaders inside of this company, even the owners of our company, Dave Wood and Dave Sharp, could say anything to you. In fact, there are tons of people that get on this call every single week and give you all types of, you know, tools that you can use. And yet, immediately after the call, there's a big group of people that are saying, I don't understand how this works, right?
Well, before I get into the formula, I want to pose to you a scenario, right? And the scenario is this. You know, I'm in Las Vegas right now because I came here for training. Here's a point to make right here. I'm always learning.
I am always learning. I am always looking to increase my knowledge because the more I increase my knowledge, the more I learn. And so I'm always learning. The more value I have inside of me. And the more value that I have inside of me means that the more value I can share with others.
And as you know, we live in a society where the only way you make money is if there is a transaction, a transaction where someone is trading their money for something that they perceive to be of equal or greater value, right? And so when you go to the store and you buy, you know, that Gucci bag, well, the price that you pay is relative to the perceived value that you think that bag has. It's very simple. If you believe that it's a knockoff bag, you're probably not going to pay two grand for it, right? Because you don't believe the value is there.
Likewise, if you're doing this business, then you've got to bring the value. Why would somebody spend $5,000 with you to get all in, for example, as an affiliate if they don't believe that you have the value? Or your ability to present the value that the company offers, they don't believe that it's there, right? You can't expect people to turn over their hard-earned money to you just because it's your new business and you really, really, really need it, okay? You have got to give people something in exchange.
That's what this is about. This is a transaction, okay? And so as I'm standing here looking out of this hotel room, we're like on the 18th floor, we're staying at, where is this, the Aria we're at, and there's three pools out here. It's like an oven baking outside. And I'm looking out at the Monte Carlo.
I can see the Luxor and Mandalay Bay and, you know, all these beautiful hotels down here on the strip. And I'm here because I'm training. And I'm training before the next event that I have to fly to, which will be Denver on tomorrow, right? It's nonstop. You have to be that committed to what you're doing.
You have to be that committed to what you're doing. You have to be that committed to what you're doing to grow. And if you're not willing to do what you've got to do, well, then you can't be met when others don't do what you think they should do, because you're not doing what you need to do. So the formula, the formula that can take you from where you are to wherever you want to be is consistent, because it doesn't involve numbers. The spa does not involve numbers.
What this formula is dependent upon is what you're doing. What you put behind it, the energy that you put behind it. If you put lackadaisical attitude, a self-defeating mentality, doesn't work perspective behind a successful formula, guess what happens? That formula is still successful. It's just not successful for you, right?
Because it's worked for me. It's worked for a lot of others, right? It's worked for Dave Wood and Dave Sharp, and I know that they use the same formula, right? It's worked for me. It's worked for a lot of others, right?
It's worked for tons of millionaires and billionaires out there, especially in the field of home-based business. I won't even get into the billionaire aspect of it, but just hundreds and hundreds of millions even, it's worked for, right? And so if it's working for all these people, then if you find that you're not getting the result, the first thing that you have to do is not attack the formula and not attack the messenger who delivered the formula, because it is not that person or the formula's fault. It is the person. It is the person that you see when you look in the mirror.
It's that person's duty to figure out what's going on, and if that same formula's working for a problem, and you need to figure out what that means, if that means that you need to get your mind right about how you, what your relationship is about money, then you need to do that. Some of you have this relationship with money where you're afraid of it. You're afraid to spend it, and if you're afraid to spend it, then guess what? The same energy exists when it's time to return itself to you. Some of you have a disrespectful relationship with money, which means you just...
Spend it and blow it, and you have... It eludes you all the time with money, and then you look up, and then you have zero. That's because that's how I used to treat money when I'm treating it the way that I treat it is. You got to fix it. You probably shouldn't be doing it.
Don't do it because somebody told you to do it. Don't do it because somebody recommended you do it. Don't do it because your best friend is doing it. Don't do it because Donald Trump is doing it. Don't do it because anybody's doing it, because at the end of the day, you have to feel good about what you're doing, because the energy behind belief is much more beneficial to you.
Behind it, does you no good, right? So you can't do that. So you got to fix whatever the situation is going on with you. Some of you don't believe you deserve that. That is an issue that you have with yourself, which means even with this formula that I'm getting ready to share with you, it won't work.
It won't work if you don't believe it. You can't... You can't see yourself in the position that you're saying that you want to be in. It just won't. And it doesn't matter who your sponsor is.
Your sponsor can't change how you feel about yourself. Your upline can't change how you feel about yourself. All these people in your community can do is hopefully, if they have your best interest in mind, is inspire you by them continuing to move forward. That's all anybody... That's all anybody can do.
It's up to you to go home and review the information and then apply it. It's applied knowledge, Napoleon Hill says, and think and grow rich. It's not just knowledge. There's tons of people that know a lot of shit, but they are broke. I mean, just keeping it real, right?
There are a lot of people that know a lot of things, but they're broke. Why? Because it's not about how much you know. How much have you applied to your life to increase the number of financial transactions you have in your business? If you have no financial transactions, you don't have a business.
You just don't. And if you don't have financial transactions, and you call yourself being in business, and you know that there are people out there transacting, buying the same thing that you're selling, just not with you, well, then you know what the problem is already. You. You know that. So I just wanted to preface this with the bottom line here, which is you.
You are if you believe you are. You are not. You are not. You are not if you believe that you are not. You will if you believe you can.
You will not if you believe you can't. I mean, you know, it's a beautiful thing to know that you are in control, but, you know, some of you don't want to actually accept responsibility either, right? So hopefully you will. Hopefully you will, and then you can take this formula and actually apply it, okay? So here's the deal.
It's really three steps, all right? It's really three main steps. And there may be some things. After that, that I can share with you that are part of maybe like sub-parts of the formula, not necessarily the main part of the formula, but they would definitely be things that support the formula, okay? And so the very first thing that I did, okay, that I'm talking about me, that I know can work for you, the very first thing I did was.
I found myself a mentor, okay? I found myself a mentor. Now, to be 100% honest with you, at this point in my business, I have a number of mentors, a number of them. There isn't just one person that has contributed to my life in a way that has allowed me to grow and to become more successful each day, each hour, each second that I breathe and live. There isn't just one person.
All right? But in the beginning, at the beginning, there was just one. Why? Because I only had one. I only could get from where I was at to first base.
Right? My goal is to get from the, you know, whatever it's called in baseball. We're trying to get ready to bat the ball. You know, the first goal is to get to first base. Now, if an opportunity presents itself for you to get to second, so be it.
But you can't. You cannot go from. You can't go from hitting the ball and run straight past the pitcher to second base. You can't do that. You can't do that in baseball.
I wonder why not. You can't. You need it. And I don't care about what's going on in your world because it's irrelevant. It's irrelevant.
It's irrelevant to your ability to project what you want into the future. What you're thinking about right now is a result of all of the actions in your past. That's why you are. That's. That's why you are where you are right now.
Where you are right now is a manifestation. It is a physical manifestation of all of the previous thoughts that you had that got you here. Right? So if you keep thinking like you were thinking last week and it got you here this week, then to think that right now is in direct opposition to where you want to go if you say you want to be somewhere different than where you are now. You have got to stand where you are now.
Decide where you want to go and find somebody who has been there and you better latch yourself to that person and do what they tell you to do. Whether it's them verbally telling you what to do in a phone conversation, whether it's them virtually telling you what to do through a webinar or a Google Hangout or a video or a conference call, whatever the format is, you've got to get out of your head in this day and age. That someone needs to step in and then when they don't call you back, you give up. That's your deal. That's not what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is you locate this person. You zoom in on who this person is based on what you want. You select the person. And I'm not saying that you now go to them and say, hey, I want you to be my mentor. Because let me tell you something.
It is the mentor that selects the mentee. It is not the mentee that selects the mentor. And what I mean by that is you don't get to call. Like they have nothing better to do but, you know, result their whole life to you. That's not what that means.
It means you decide on who the person is. That's what it means why they select the mentor. And then you do what they tell you to do via any vehicle, any medium that they do it through. Any. And you want to be so grateful regardless of the medium that you just do.
You just do. Because when you do, what happens is that at some point in time, things are going to start moving in your favor where the mentor will notice you. And that is the point at which the mentor selects the mentee. You would have sought out the mentor. But the mentor can recognize.
A person that is following their direction. Very easily. I can do it very easily. I can look at people based on an inbox message I get on Facebook and know whether they're following my instructions or not. And depending on what is being said in that message, I will either ignore, delete, or refer.
If the person is asking me a question that I know I've already answered via my training, the message gets deleted. Because I don't have the time. I don't have the time to keep saying the same thing over and over when I've already said it. What that indicates is that you are not going through the training. Give yourself a mentor, like I said, and do what they tell you to do.
It's very simple, but we make things so hard in life. We make the most simple things so hard. Why? Because we want to do things our way. But your way isn't what has gotten the other person to the position that had you seek them out in the first place.
Your way has gotten you where you are, which is seeking a mentor, which is getting you the first base. So step number one, you have to find yourself a mentor. And you must do what this person tells you to do via any medium they tell you to do it in. You do not dictate how your mentor is going to respond to you. You just do what they tell you to do.
You're going to have to let the ego go. Remember this. Some of you guys are brilliant. Some of you are brain surgeons, and some of you are heart surgeons, and some of you are rocket scientists and aerodynamic engineers and all these. You are teachers in schools.
You are mathematicians. You are doctors and nurses and lawyers. You are all these things. But guess what? This isn't that.
You are the expert over there. But over here, you are not. So you must have. And you must humble yourself to learn the skills that the brain surgeon of Internet marketing now can teach you. Because if you are a brain surgeon and you're the number one brain surgeon and I'm the number one Internet marketer, then if I were to walk into your operating room, how dare I tell you how we should operate on that person's brain?
How dare I tell you that? How dare I tell you what time I'm coming? How dare I tell you what I think we should do first? And what I think we should do second? And give you all these excuses about why I can't be in the operating room at this time?
And, oh, I have my nails done so I can't put on these gloves. And, oh, no, my hair just got done so I can't put on this hairnet. You would look at me like I was a complete idiot if I were to walk into your environment where you are the expert and begin to tell you about how I'm going to run the show that I don't know anything about. Well, ironically, it's the same thing over here. Yeah, ironically, it's the same thing over here.
The people that know what they're doing over here are experts over here. It doesn't mean that we know everything about everything. It doesn't mean we know a hell of a lot about this. So listen and do what your mentor instructs you to do without a bunch of back talk, just like Danielson had to learn with Mr. Miyagi.
If you need to go back and watch that movie, that's fine, too. The second thing that you need to do is now use your brain. You must produce results. Produce results by any means necessary. I think that we may have said that time and time again, not just in this community, but just, you know, people have said it, I think, not the next day, by any means necessary.
I don't care how you get what you get so long as it's ethical and legal or how you get leads. I don't care if you are walking in a hotel in Vegas like me and you end up talking to the guy who's at the craft table. I don't care if you do that. If you want to do that, do that. You know, I was talking to my best friend today, and she's in the company.
And, you know, she was talking about how excited she is about getting to Denver. And she was telling me that she was walking down the street and she saw this man. Now, she still lives in Chicago. She saw this man who was out of his car, basically, and he was selling his book. And he was writing his book.
Well, he wrote his book about how he went from, you know, being, you know, whatever was going on. He was a good student, all these different things. And then he got caught up into drugs and his life went down. And then he turned his life around and so on and so forth. And she's talking to him about the business, about the book.
And she asked him, well, how are you marketing the book? And the guy said, well, I'm from Ohio, and I drive around from place to place. And, you know, I pass out my business. And she simply asked him, well, have you ever thought about marketing yourself on the Internet? I mean, have you thought about you're only limited to how many people you can physically reach out and touch if you're just driving around handing out the business cards?
What about all the people that you can't physically touch that the Internet could possibly afford you? See, that format, and guess what? She didn't call me every day to ask me exactly what I wanted. She just realized what she had as a tool. And upon striking a conversation with someone, she just asked that person had they ever considered using a tool like this.
So she gave him the card, and I believe that he may even be on this call. Sir, if you are on the call, because I think she invited him to the Empower Hour call. So I don't know if you're on the call or not, sir, but let me tell you, I heard about you. And if you are on this call, good for you. Congratulations for taking a step forward wanting to build your business beyond just what you can physically do.
Congratulations. You have got to get results by any means necessary. Some of you are going to be able to pick up the Internet marketing strategies very quickly, and you're going to be able to apply them very quickly. And that is phenomenal because that is really the core of what we're teaching. It's the core of what we are teaching.
So that's great. But there are some of you that have skill sets that are just as powerful that you are now not using because you feel a certain kind of way about it. But like I said at the very beginning of this call, that is an issue that you have with that person in the mirror. We're not telling you not to do that. We're just telling you that you don't have to base your whole business success on that.
There's other ways out here. There's some leverage that you can implement into your life. Step number two, you have got to produce results. Because if you're not producing results, number one, you soon will lose all the air out of your own balloon. And number two, all the other people, all the other people who are around you that are looking, who you don't even know are looking, maybe who you sent something to about the business or whatever it is, they're watching.
And when you give up, guess what? They get another victory in their cup. Because they knew this didn't work in the first place, and you just proved it to them. So you've got to get results. You've got to get results for yourself, and you've got to get results because there are others who are looking just to have an ounce of belief that it's going to come from you.
It's going to come from you, believe it or not. Let me tell you something. Had I not continued on back in 2008 and 2009 doing the things that I was doing, despite my circumstances, despite what I was going through, despite the issues I was having, if I had have stopped, guess what? The person that signed up with me today would have never known about me. Why?
Because I didn't know that person then. And I don't know the person now. But they would not have been able to find me because I would have quit way back then. You impact way more people than you think you do because you think you've got to know the people to impact them. And I'm here to tell you.
There isn't one celebrity that gets that. There is one celebrity that gets on television that knows you but can also be impacting you at the same time. There are tons of people that get on TV or radio or whatever that are impacting the masses and don't know you. You don't have to know everybody. What you need to do is be dedicated to your craft and have a passion and a belief about it, and you need to get results.
The third thing that you need to do is you need to share the fact that you are getting the results. I've been taught in your life that if you say how great you're doing or if you share that something successful or great happened to you that you are bragging. You've learned that. I know you've learned that because there's way more success happening in our community than I even see on Facebook, on video, or any of that. I see a lot.
I see a lot of success, but there's so much more. How do I know there's so much more? Because when Dave Wood and Dave Sharp share with us the numbers and how we're doing, how we're growing by leaps and bounds, clearly people are making financial transactions. It's ridiculous to think that there aren't financial transactions being made when the company is growing and growing by the month in terms of how much revenue the company is generating and commissions earned by the field. Look, the numbers are the numbers.
So you have got to share with others that you are getting results, and depending on who the group is, you might even share exactly how it is. You might even share exactly how you got those results. There's a difference between sharing the results and sharing how you got the results. For example, I could say, hey, oh, my God, I just got my first all-in sale. For example, if you're an affiliate here, you know what that means.
If you're a customer, don't worry about it. It's just a person that purchased all the products. You might be a customer, and you bought all the products. You're not selling, you're not promoting or marketing the products, but you have obtained them as an educational resource for you to help you in whatever your desire is. So you buy all the products.
The person goes, oh, my goodness, I had my first all-in sale. That would be them sharing the results. You need to do that. You need to do that, because when you do that, that alerts other people out there that are kind of brain-dead and they're kind of hoping it don't work for you that they got it wrong, that, A, it's not just working for Vic or Tony or Tracy or Chuck or John or Chris and Chris or Erin and Sophia. It's not just working for those people.
It's also working for this person over here. So you have a duty to share your results. Now, what you could do, this is what I did and what I do. What you could do, if you choose to follow the formula, is then allow people to learn exactly what you did to get those results if they come to your webinar or if they come to your conference call or if they take some sort of action, right? Look, marketing ain't that hard.
You just got to think outside the box just a little bit. Just a little bit. If you want to get someone on your email list, for example, because some of you are saying, I had no leads. Look, additionally, you might, listen, you might not even have any results yet, right? You might not even have any results in step number two just yet, right?
But you realize that in step number three, you might actually know something. Remember what I said at the beginning that I didn't really know much about much, but I realized I knew how to build a blog. And so I would just teach people what I knew. There were other people that were making a lot more money than me that knew things I didn't know. But I didn't attempt to teach the shit I didn't know.
I need you to understand that. I just began to teach that which I knew, right? And so as I began to teach that which I knew, I began to acquire a group of people, a fan base, a community, or whatever you want to call it, a team, whatever, around me that began to value my opinion about things, all because I gave them some goods on the one thing I didn't know. So you could share the one thing you know and offer people an opportunity to get the goods on how to get the result you got or how to get the result somebody else got, right? Because you may have learned something from your mentor, and you know that their result is good.
You know that their result is documented. But you can then turn around and say, look, I can teach you how to get results like my mentor got over here, and here are the results. You can leverage that third party. Some of you are too stuck into believing that the only way is you've got to have the results, or you're too arrogant and egotistical to pass some of the love over to somebody else to help you make money. Some of you are scared to edify other people because you're so afraid of money, right?
You're afraid of it because you're afraid you won't get it if you edify somebody else. You've got to assess that relationship you've got with money. That has nothing to do with the formula. It has everything to do with how you feel about money. So that would be number three, right?
You share the results that you get, and you can then speak to them. You can then teach people how you got those results or how somebody else got those results, right? Now, step number four. In step number four, what you're really going to do is now you are going to share. Oh, excuse me, guys.
Hold on. I don't know what that was. Somebody was choking me. It's too hot out here in Las Vegas. I think that's what the problem is.
But anyway. Now what you can do is now that you've shared your own results, right, and possibly shared with some people how to get the results on their own, now you must highlight and edify the other people who get the results. Now how hard is that? I mean, ask them, how hard is that? You get a result first.
You share that result. And then subsequently you teach somebody how to get that result. And then when that person gets the result, guess what you do? Blast them. Edify them.
Go to town about how this person followed your steps, followed your this, followed your instructions, did what you said, and they got results. Then you get a testimonial, right? You can get a testimonial from that person about what it is. You can get a testimonial or even just you and yourself taking a picture that this person has from their Facebook profile, putting it into your email, creating an email for this, and sending out that person's success story, maybe with a screen capture of them getting leads or them getting sales or them getting traffic or them getting views on a video that they never had before or them doing the first video that they never thought they would be able to do, or whatever it is. Or whatever it really is.
You now have an army of people that are looking that are saying, well, wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay. So you need to tell me that little thing that y'all got going on. Yeah, yeah, I saw that Vic was this over here. Yeah, I know.
I saw Tony doing that stuff. Yeah, it's true. I saw Tracy doing stuff. Oh, yeah, I saw Aaron and Sophia. I saw.
I saw Chris, and I saw Chuck and Chrissy. Yeah, I saw all those people. But, see, those people are different. Right? I see them, but they're different.
Not only did I see them, but, wait, now you're telling me you actually got a result? You made a sale? Like, you signed up five people so far? And you've never signed up five people into anything ever? But this time, this time you signed up five people so far?
And you need to tell me, out of those five people, out of those five people, that's your result, right? You got five people, because I never got any people before, but you got five people, and now out of those five people, I just saw that you just edified one of those five people, because now one of those five people actually went and they got their first sale? Whoa, wait a second. You mean that this isn't just working for those guys over there who it would work for anyway because it just would. It also works for you, but I kind of got it to work for you, too, because you're smart.
I mean, I knew you could do it. But wait, it's working for this person over here, too? Psychologically, that does something for the marketplace. Why do you think infomercials have a bunch of dang-on testimonials about the weight loss that people have gotten based on using that product or service? Why do you think that is?
Do you think it's going to waste airtime? No, because people believing and seeing the before and after picture is what conveys a message that this could work for me, too, and a person whips out their credit card or what they do. They buy. Why do they buy? They buy because they believe that when they pay this money, the value that they are going to get in exchange is equal to or greater than what they're paying.
That is the only reason why you buy anything. That's why people say, I don't have money for that. It's not that they don't have money. They don't have money for that. Why?
Because they don't believe that has the value that's worth them exchanging their money for it. So as a marketer, guess whose job it is to show the value. Now, a person could still choose to not do it because guess what? Quite frankly, not every product is going to be for every person. You have a target market.
I am not in the market to lose weight. I don't give a darn how much weight you could lose. I don't want to lose no weight. So nobody could ever sell me anything at this point in time right now. About a weight loss product.
I don't care how great the infomercial is. I don't care how great the testimonials are. I don't care how cheap it is. It could be free. That's why some of you can't understand why you can't even sell things for free.
You can't sell things for free when you are not matching your market to the message. Because it doesn't matter if it's free to me. I'm not buying weight loss. You've got to understand that. There are just some people who don't want what you have.
So as a marketer, you have to identify who wants what you have. And then you have to present the value to them as to why and how what you have solves their need or their problem. If you are not doing that and you're thinking you're going to make sales in anything, you are fooling yourself and you might as well go ahead and pack it up now. Pack it up now whatever it is that you are doing. People are not going to buy from you because you want them to.
People are not going to buy from you because you need them to. And you're about to lose your house. And you're about to lose your car. And it doesn't matter. Guess what?
Because I've lost all of that before too. And you know what? People didn't buy from me when I threw my style story on them either. People didn't start buying from me until I postured up and I said, you know what? I've got what they need.
And therefore, I am going to position myself and my representation of whatever this thing is I am marketing as the solution to their problem. Period. The end. My personal issues have nothing to do with whether or not this person needs to buy what I have. It's irrelevant.
So that is the formula. Now recap. Number one was find a mentor and do what they tell you to do. It's not just find a mentor. It's find a mentor and do what they tell you to do.
Write that down. Do not write down find a mentor. That's not what I said. Find a mentor and do what they tell you to do. If you're hesitant to write down do what they tell you to do, yep, that's one of those things you've got to check yourself on.
Why are you hesitant to follow the direction of somebody else? Your ego is in the way. And that's why you can't make this work. Step number one, you're already defaulting on the rules. Step number two is get results by any means necessary.
If you want to go out there and talk to people, then by golly, you do it. If you want to go out there and do a video, then knock yourself out. Get your video rocking. If you want to go out there and you want to write email after email after email and buy solo ad after solo ad after solo ad, do what you've got to do. You have a budget.
If you have a marketing budget, then do that. But don't come saying that you're broke and now you want to do solo ads. Stop it. You need to do something that's going to be in alignment with your budget. And let me remind you, David Wood, as well as myself, did not build anything from a paid perspective.
He did not. From a paid perspective. It's not that we don't use paid now, but I can tell you I did not build this building that I'm standing in my world from paid marketing. I built it through social media and free marketing. I just did.
So I don't buy the excuses. I can't buy it because I did it that way. Get the results by any means necessary. Third thing is now you must share your results. You cannot be so secretive about what you're doing because others that are looking to do something want to know if it's working.
And if you're so scared to say that it's working for you because in your house when you grew up your mom told you don't do that, that's bragging, then you're acting like you are a child in your mother's house and you are not acting like an entrepreneur who is building a business right now. You've got to leave that back there in that path. And you've got to move forward towards what is going to help you be profitable now. You need to share the results. Get over whatever it is, however you do it.
And there's no timeframe. I'm not saying you need to get over it right this second. All I'm saying is that your success is directly related to how quickly you get over it. And so you get to decide how quickly you want that. It's not for me to decide.
You've got to share those results and then you've got to kind of teach others how you got them. Okay? Thank you. And teach others how you got them. Why?
Because in this industry it is a coaching and teaching business. This is not just a go out there and buy a bunch of real estate and make a bunch of money. If you're in the business of teaching people real estate, then when you go out there and buy the real estate, guess what? You should come back and teach your students how you bought it. That's if you're looking to build an organization of real estate investors.
But if you're not looking to do that, if you want to be the only real estate investor, that's fine too. Just do not look for others to duplicate success in a network marketing model because this model is about teaching others how to do what you did. It's called duplication. And it is overrated. I will tell you, most people will not duplicate.
But that's because they have issues with it themselves and they don't want to listen. So that has nothing to do with what we're doing. It has everything to do with what they don't want to do. But you have got to share those results and share with people how they can get the results. And then the last thing that you're going to do is you are going to edify your result-oriented people like crazy.
Any time you hear about anybody in your team that has done something that they previously had not done, you ought to be the first person to copy and paste or create some type of email copy to go out to your list and share it with people. You ought to be the first person to do that. Because, clearly, if you're depending on your own results and it's not happening yet, then you don't have anything to send out. Why do you think this company is so crock about sharing success stories with you? Because you can take anybody's success story that you want.
They don't have to be in your team. You don't have to be in their team. You don't even have to know this person. But you can take somebody else's success story. And you can share it.
And you can craft a message. And you could send this message out to your list. Or you could share it on a webinar that you invited people to. You could share it with people on a video. Or whatever the medium is that you want, you have access to dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of stories that you can access to complete step number four.
I mean, there is just no reason why you can't do these four steps. I started these four steps in foreclosure, in bankruptcy, and in repossession. I know people that are doing this who are blogging with a straw in their mouth because they are paraplegic. I don't think you have an excuse. I know people that are getting to events in wheelchairs.
Who are finding their way. To get around the people who have the positive energy that they need to be successful when they get back home. Whether they can draw on. I don't think you have an excuse. I know people who are deaf who are figuring this thing out.
And I'm not joking with you. I know people who are blind in this company who are figuring things out. I don't think you have an excuse. The fact that you have to work, that may be true. But if that is your reason for not being successful, then you don't want to be successful.
You would rather keep working a lot. And that's okay, too. Just don't complain about it ain't working for you. Just accept that it's not working because you don't want to change. You don't want to stay up late sometimes.
You want to watch TV, the Bluetooth, the automatic income reducer all day. What is the formula, ladies and gentlemen? And I know for a fact, this is not theory, this is practical. That if you would take that framework, the framework of what do I do? If the question you have is what do I do, I told you the framework for what to do.
What you do is you get a mentor and do what they say. You get results. You share those results and teach others how to get those results. And then you edify those people that got those results. That is what you do.
Now, how you do that is going to depend on your own ability to follow instruction and to remain consistent and to implement the training and the education that you have access to. I don't have anything to do with whether or not you go in there, open up any of those products, and watch the training. I can't control that. I can't control whether you watch the first five minutes, and you don't understand, so you cut it off, and you never go back to try to understand. I can't control that.
I can't control whether you watch the whole thing and then complain that you didn't understand and not understanding that you can actually push play again because it's a video. But watch it until you do understand. If you don't want to do that, you know, can actually help you with that. There are downloadable guides for the products that you can read and follow through, follow up with. You can watch the videos.
You can actually get on the trainings that your team leader may be having or your upline may be having. You can actually get to events and learn things from other people. You can actually be a part of your own freaking business, is what I'm saying. You can actually come alive and have a heartbeat and a pulse in what you're doing before you expect somebody else to be overjoyed about spending their money. You can actually enjoy yourself.
Whether you do or not, we can't control. I cannot control the how. All I can do is give you the what. What you should do. And if you choose to pick and choose out of that what you will and will not do, well, you know, hey, if I'm giving you the formula for apple pie, the recipe, and you decide that you want to put in a certain ingredient that I told you to put in, then don't be mad when your apple pie don't taste like my apple pie.
It's real simple. You understand that concept. If you tell somebody the directions on how to get to your house and you tell them to do this, do this, do this, and do that, and they go their own way, then they can be mad at you that they hot and bothered because it took them an extra hour to get to your house. You would have told them, I gave you the directions. Why didn't you follow my directions?
Oh, because it was a shortcut. Okay, well, that's why you hot and bothered. Guys, life ain't that hard. We make things hard because we don't want to accept where we are and allow it to be a place where we grow, catapult, and move forward. What we want to do is make excuses for why we are where we are, and we want to blame others for why we are where we are, and we want to hope and pray that somebody else is going to feel so sorry for us that they're going to do something more than what we're willing to do for ourselves.
I'm telling you, maybe that happens somewhere else. I don't know. But in entrepreneurship, not so much, not so much. So that is the formula. I want you to take it.
I want you to apply it. You no longer have to ask what you need to do. You don't need to ask that question because I've answered that question. The only thing you need to be doing now is figuring out where you fit in this formula. What have you done already?
What parts do you need to improve upon and enhance and maybe extract some things and reassess and adjust? Maybe you're in that tweaking stage of your business, but in terms of being completely ignorant to what you need to do, you can no longer claim that ignorance because you have now been informed. You have now been informed. You have now been enlightened. What you do with this is purely up to you.
You know, I am here, like I said to you at the beginning, I am here in Vegas because of a training. A training that I decided to invest $7,500 in, just so you know. It wasn't cheap. That's why I'm only 12 people in the class. $7,500 in to learn some things that I believe will help take my business to the next level, like getting on TV.
Right? And, you know, you think, well, getting on TV? Maybe I got to get on TV. Maybe I got to get a show. Maybe I have to do this and do that and all these different things.
And it could be hard and it could be this and that. And I said, well, you know, I could do a couple of things. I could want to get on TV and I could probably create something of my own. I could probably figure it out. Clearly I know that there are producers and executive producers that decide how the show is going to go and what's going to be on the show and whether this topic is good for the viewers or not.
I could probably go through the process of finding out, you know, all the stations and the producers and introducing myself to them and this and that. I could probably do that. Or I could do what? I could follow my own damn formula, which was, A, find a mentor. Because it doesn't matter what it is.
So I said, I want to be on TV. Let me find myself a mentor. And I found somebody who knew what the hell he was talking about being on TV. And I watched them for a while. I didn't jump right away.
Some of you have people that are doing that to you. They're watching you, but they're not jumping right at you. They're watching you right away. But you won't remain steadfast enough for them to contact you once they realize that you're serious, you're consistent, and you're the real deal. You'll quit before they get there.
So I watched them for a while. I said, this man really knows what he is talking about, right? So I took a baby step. I bought one of his programs. It was like $1,000, right, a home study course.
I said, okay, well, let me just watch the videos here and see what I can get from education under my belt. And that's probably all I need, right? That's probably all I need. And he told me what to do in those videos. He told me what to do in those videos.
And then he made me an offer, right, which is great. That's what sales is. Aria, and I'm telling you right now that I have been upsold on so many things, it's ridiculous. It has nothing to do with Internet marketing. I'm being upsold on every type of thing at the restaurant, being upsold on things at the craft table, right, being upsold on every single thing that you can possibly be upsold on.
You're getting upsold on it. So he made an offer. And the offer was, well, you can take all these things that I'm teaching right here, and you've got all the goods, right? You can do it yourself. Or you can come work with me personally, and I am going to bring some of my people in my Rolodex to the event, and you're going to be able to run what you got by these decision makers on these TV stations across the country.
So I'm going to teach you the formula, right? So, A, I found the mentor, right? I found him. And then he's following the formula, too, right, because he's got results, and now what is he doing? He shared his results.
That's how I found him in the first place. And now what he's doing, he's teaching others how to get the results, right? So, boom, he acquired me as a client because I'm interested in knowing how to get those results. So I come here, and I learned this formula, this process of what this stuff is, and guess what happens? I get results.
I got results in the two days of the three days because the first day was all about the learning part. The second two days was all about presenting what I had to present to the executive producers. And out of the 13 executive producers that were here, I booked 10 of them. So what did I do? I found a mentor, and I did what the hell he told me to do.
I didn't think because I was the number one female income earner in our network over here that I know everything about how to get on TV because I don't know jack about how to get on TV. He does. So when he told me, don't forget. He told me, don't say that. Say this.
Guess what? Yes, sir. He said, speak louder or speak lower. Guess what I say? Yes, sir.
Don't wear that. Wear this. No, take that out of your pitch. Put this in your pitch. Yeah, I know that's important to you, but it doesn't matter.
Take it out. Put this here. Do what I tell you to do. Yes, sir. And what happened?
I moved instantly from step one in my own formula to what? Step number two. Get results. In the 48 hours. In the 48-hour period.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm trying to tell you that this formula can change your life. If you will allow yourself to be humble, put your ego aside, and learn from people who know more than you about the topic or area of expertise that you want to get good at. It doesn't mean that this person is better than you in all areas of your life. It means that this person knows more than you about this area of your life, this particular area, whatever area that may be. And allow yourself to immerse.
Immerse into the learning and the action behind the learning. Doing what the mentor tells me to do. Not just listening to what the mentor is telling me to do. I didn't just hear what he told me to do. I did what he told me to do.
If he said jump, I jumped this weekend. And guess what? I'm so glad I jumped. Because I got myself the results that I knew I could get. Being a newbie in this whole thing.
Because I know how to do what someone who I went to for help tells me to do. You've got to get good at that. You have got to get good at that. That's when things get real simple and easy. Some of you guys want to fight it, fight it, fight it, because you got your way of doing things.
But your way ain't the way. Help us. Your way ain't the way. That's why you're here. And we love you.
And we embrace you being here. But we want to know that you are experiencing the things that you say you want to experience. And we are doing what we can do to help provide you with the tools that you need to achieve it. But we cannot make the horse drink the water. That, my friend, is up to you.
As the entrepreneur, as the person who wants to change their life, whatever that means to you. But it's going to be an emotional shift when you did all of this at home as an entrepreneur, because I want this to change. This situation is actually perfect. And I want you all to do it. And I want you to be one of us.
If you come back, you'll be the next company that I am going to work for, Michael, you and I, that I'm going to work for. You can fill out the diploma by at leastally. Talk to me and I'll show you how you do it for free. But you've got to want that thing so bad, so bad, that anything left is not an option. And when you can get to a point where success is the only option you have, then everything is going to turn around for you.
To even consider failure is not an option in my world. You cannot consider it. Because if you consider it, it's an option. And if it's an option for you, guess what? You'll default down to the option that's the easiest.
And it's easier to not do this stuff because it challenges you than it is for you to do it so that you can grow out of it. It's much easier to lie down and die than it is to get up and walk in pain. It's much easier to do it that way in business. But this is without ease. This is about success.
It was not promised to you based on ease. So I want you to internalize this message today. I want you to know that for those of you who I will be seeing over this next week in Denver, Colorado, I look forward to seeing you. I look forward to hearing your results. I look forward to hearing your step number two, basically what I'm saying, your step number two.
And I look forward to being able to share some time with you. We have a limited time. We're only there for a few days. And all of us that are there will do as best we can to do videos and do pictures, all the leaders. I know they will.
That's because that's the kind of community that we have. Anything that we can do to help you build your business, make sure you get to your team's parties on Saturday night and engage and have some fun and get to know each other. You know, these are the times where relationships are built. These are the times where you actually start to shift from, well, maybe I'm not so sure I can, to, you know what, I don't know why I would ever believe I can't. That's what this is about.
So that formula for success not only took me from foreclosure to my life now, but it took me from not knowing anything about how to get on TV to now being booked on ten shows across the nation, including my hometown of Chicago, I just have to tell you that. Right? And I'm excited about that. Why? Because I'm growing.
I'm growing. And there's nothing more exciting about success than having a little bit more and knowing that you can get your message and your passion out to people who are looking for, who want it, and who are waiting on you to deliver the message. That's how I see my life. I would expect that you should start seeing your life that same way, too. So I want to thank you guys for joining me on.
