Hey, everyone. Chris Record here with another Team Take Massive Action Tuesday. Extremely, extremely excited about what's going on because of all the momentum that we're having and all the internet marketing success that we're starting to see in the community. It is Tuesday, December 4, 2012, which means that we just have a couple of days left. So it's going to be just a couple weeks left, I mean, for calls, and then we're going to do Christmas break, and then we're going to be done.

So very, very excited about these calls. Got that, everybody. Came off mute there. I'm going to go ahead and turn off these chimes. We've got a bunch of people calling on.

Actually, it's one of the busier calls that we've had today, so that's super cool. I'm actually really enjoying this. Give me one second here, and I'm going to go ahead and turn off these chimes. I know it's on the recording, but it is what it is. That's just how we run our business.

We just do it live and on the spot. So give me a second here. Entry, entry, exit. Here we go. Okay, there we go.

I just turned off the entry and exit chimes. So, cool, cool. And for those of you that are wondering, the service that I'm using is freeconferencing.com. It's just a free service. That's what we're currently using.

They can handle a pretty large amount of callers, up to about 1,000 callers. They automatically will give you a download that you can take of every single call. You just click a button and can download it and make it easily accessible for people. Plus, they have a playback number. Plus, they just have a couple of really cool services.

You can see exactly who's on. You can see where they're calling from. It automatically will pull names and caller IDs for most people, probably 75% of people. So I know I'm going off on a tangent here, but I just wanted to give a little plug there for a free service that we're using that we're enjoying. So that being said, once again, for those of you that don't know me, my name is Chris Record.

I'm one of the co-founders of Team Take Massive Action, and this whole vision started for us just about six months ago. At that time, it was really nothing. It was just a few people that were excited about Empower Network. We said, hey, let's just join this thing and see what happens. At the time, all of us were pretty busy.

We just wanted to kind of see if Empower Network would be a good way to generate some extra leads for some of our businesses. What happened from that whole idea of extra leads spun into this Team Take Massive Action, spun into all this additional training and videos and everything that you're a part of right now. It was just sort of spun out of this idea that we could use Empower Network to generate some extra leads for our businesses. So it's pretty cool to watch things grow organically. It's cool to watch people just be real, be authentic, and really just pull everything together to be excited about a vision, and that's really what Team Take Massive Action is.

It's bigger than just Empower Network alone. I mean, obviously, Empower Network's huge, but we separately are just sort of a vision. We're a team. We're a community, and our vision is this big general vision that we just really want to lock arms and be able to help everybody succeed in internet marketing. So we do hands-on training.

We have the hands-on Facebook group. We have everything that we do is geared to really try to empower people to really have success. And obviously, we do it all under the Empower Network umbrella, because with Empower Network, everything is already set up for us. So everything is plug and play and ready to go, right? So rather than just go start our own thing from scratch, we went under the Empower Network umbrella, and that has just paid off.

That has just been incredibly... It was an incredibly valuable connection. In fact, if you heard me in the beginning during the introductions, I talked about how this week I'm going to be traveling out to Florida to go spend a few days with the founders of Empower Network and some of the leaders as well. We're going to be going out there to corporate and really talking about what's next for Empower. So just so cool to see how this can all happen.

It's just really cool. Some of the relationships that we're making, the friendships, and even though it's online, you know, we're in the Facebook community. We get to know each other. There's a lot going on. There's a lot going on.

And through all of our emails and through the videos and stuff like that, even though it's online, what's cool is that from time to time, we all get together offline and go to real events, and we actually get to meet each other in person. What's super cool about that is that you actually bring this whole real-life aspect to online marketing, where normally, you know, you're just doing marketing with people. You're just doing back-and-forth communication online. When you meet each other face-to-face, it's like this whole new level of bonding that happens. And that's one of the...

That's one of the things that I always felt was missing from the Internet, and that's one of the things that we brought to the picture with Team Take Massive Action and Empower Network. So I'm extremely excited about that. So for those of you that also know me, you know a couple of things. One, I talk pretty fast, and I can often be long-winded, meaning a call could easily go a couple hours. However, the difference between me and somebody who just talks and talks and talks is that I actually try to fit a ton of content into the time that I'm talking, meaning that I'll have an agenda.

I'll go through a ton of content. It might be like you're receiving information from a fire hose instead of just a water spout, and I get it. I totally get it. But, you know, the whole thing I like about what we do here is that you could be yourself and you could be authentic.

So if you know me in real life, ask anybody who's friends with me in real life, like not even online, just offline, and they'll all tell you, this is just how he is. This is how Chris Record is. So instead of me trying to be someone I'm not, I'm here. I'm who I am. The way that I teach is 100 miles per hour.

It is very DJing. It's very, very, very big picture, and then when I get into the details, it's very, very specific. So it's a balance of everything, and I am learning and growing. I don't think that I'm – I'm not willing to – I'm not afraid of changing my style a little bit, but I love the fact that I can just be who I am, and if you don't like my training, there's always others. There's others on our team that you can listen to.

So I'm very confident that we're going to do a good job here with the diversity that we have on our team. So the other thing that you want to know. The other thing that you want to know about me is that when I deliver content, my goal is to deliver it to the masses. I'm not really a one-on-one person. The reason I say that is because I was in a previous business way back in the day.

I was in Amway, and during that business – and I'm going to tell you a little bit more about that on this call. We're going to have some fun with it a little bit later, but when I was in that business, I used to meet with people one-on-one all day long, and when I get somebody started, I'd meet with them one-on-one 50, 60, 70 times, as many times as I possibly could, to try to get them to be successful. But every time that I was meeting with them one-on-one, let's say for an hour, I was not meeting with other people. So there really was no leverage. Well, what I've employed here is this idea of leverage, this idea of group coaching, this idea of if we're going to train, let's get as many people as we can together for that training.

So less of the one-on-one, even though I still do it a little bit. More of the group training. More of the – if you're going to train somebody, if somebody asks me a question, it's so much better for me to create a little video. That's the answer. And then share that video with the whole community, because there's probably so many other people that had the same question.

So that's a little bit about me. That's a little bit about my style, the fact that I'm really interested in this whole dynamic of group coaching. And I think all of you should be too. I mean, I'm personally, I'm really excited about it. But I think the earlier that we can learn lessons like that, that says, hey, our time is valuable.

If I've got three hours, how can I leverage those three hours and share those three hours with the masses instead of just sharing them with one or two people? I think it's a really – I just think it's like a really solid breakthrough that I've experienced in my life. And so I do my best to try to teach that way, and I hope that you kind of carry that on. An example of that is the fact that right now, I'm training, and instead of just training a few people at my house or something, we've got all of us on this call here from all over the nation and all over the world. But not only that, I'm recording the call and then archiving the call so that even more people can listen to it later.

And not only that, at one point, we might even just open it up to everybody, open it up to the masses. Right? Right? Now we have the digital call. We could actually strip apart this call and take little – I could have somebody edit it and take little sections and even make it into other training.

You see, so there's this – it's just this idea of how can you take – how can you do the same activity you're already going to do and just get more leverage in it? How can you reach more people? How can you make more money with it? How can you do more with it? And that level of thinking has really exploded my business.

Okay. So that's sort of the introductions of where I wanted to start this call. And as always, I want to jump into some nuts and bolts. nuts and bolts as fast as possible because I'm all about training people, especially when we have late night calls like this. I know how many of us have children.

So let's transition into tonight's training. All right. Okay? Let me repeat that. When I mean part-time, I mean working an hour or two per day on the side of all the other things that I have going on.

All right. $100,000 in six months. Now, to some of you, that might be a mind-blowing number. To some of you, that might just be the number you're looking at that you want to achieve. But to me, it's a mind-blowing number.

To me, I still pinch myself. Now, sure, it's not seven figures or eight figures. It's not mega, mega millions. So we still have a long ways to go to really reaching the big, big league. Anybody does that, I'm going to give them serious props.

Okay? So what I want to do is I want to share with you the five income-producing activities that I used to be able to do that with Empower Network in the last six months. And I just want to get right into it. In other calls, you've heard me talk about what I do. I'm going to share with you the five income-producing activities and what income-producing activities are.

In other calls, you've heard me talk about the importance of non-income-producing activities versus even short-term and long-term. You've heard me talk about direct income-producing activities versus indirect ones. So I don't really want to go into that right now. I just want to get down to the nuts and bolts. So this would be the perfect time for you to grab a pen and paper if you don't already have one and just grab one.

And then some of you I know usually post some stuff in the Facebook group while we're talking, and that's totally cool too if you want to kind of archive it there. All good. Let's just go through. The first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to share all five with you up front, and then we're going to spend a few minutes talking about each one. Okay.

The first one, my first income-producing activity, when I got in the business, I only had about an hour or two to build every single day. So I knew I had to sit down. I had to get super focused. So the very first thing when I sat in front of my computer to say, what am I going to do? The first income-producing activity was always Facebook chat.

Facebook chat. Literally being able to get instant results. I was able to get instant results with my extended network. Okay. Now, specifically, just a summary of it, I specifically mean logging onto Facebook and seeing who has a green dot next to their name on the side screen there.

That's exactly where I would start. The very first activity I would ever do is I would browse through that list and see if there's anybody I felt like talking to. And sometimes I'd even get myself out of my comfort zone a little bit and spark up conversations with maybe people I didn't even really recognize that were on my friends list. But that's where I'd always start. Number one position.

Facebook chat. Okay. Let's keep going. Number two thing. So when I was done with Facebook chat, whether I had people or not, or maybe I didn't feel like talking to people, whatever it was, when I was done with my time with Facebook chat, I would move to the Facebook method, contacting 15 to 25 new people per day.

That was my second income-producing activity. And by the way, I'm telling you, I'm reading off of my list that I wrote back in June. This is the first. This was June 10th that I wrote this list. Okay.

So keep in mind, back in June, I made a list of five income-producing activities. I'm 10 days into the business, and I've already got a list in front of me because I knew I had to stay focused. So number one was Facebook chat. Number two was Facebook method. And as you can see, I obviously spent most of my time on Facebook.

Okay. Real quick, before I move on to the others, I want to tell you, some people can get easily distracted on Facebook. And if that's you, where you start something, but then you drift into the la-la land of Facebook, and you start looking at everybody's pictures, and you start... reading everything, and if you're that type of person, and you can't stay focused, then you probably shouldn't do those two income-producing activities. Me, on the other hand, I could get focused.

I'll do all that other stuff later. But I'm able to sit down. I'm able to focus. So those worked really well for me. Okay.

Income-producing activity number three. I would write an SEO-focused blog post with a strong call to action. Okay. SEO-focused blog post with a strong call to action. Now, I would write sometimes two.

But I would write one or two. I mean, listen, it really all depended on how much time I had, how much time the Facebook method took and that kind of stuff. I was working in little one-hour blocks of time.

So, I just had to be really conscious with my time. But that was number three. I would try to do that every single day, if I could, or at least a few times a week. Okay. Income-producing activity number four, that I personally focused on, which was, email my list a personalized story-based email with a strong call to action.

Email my list a personalized story-based email with a strong call to action. Now, when I was brand new, I unfortunately fell to the disease of excusitis like many people do. And I unfortunately made a lot of excuses as to why maybe I didn't have a big enough list, or I was too busy, or I didn't know what I should write about. I fell victim like many people did to excusitis. And I just started spewing excuses out of my mouth every single time that I went to go write an email.

And I got writer's block and all this kind of stuff. I ended up just copying and pasting a bunch of other people's emails and sending those out instead, which is cool. But I will tell you that in terms of an income-producing activity, I really want to make sure you understand we're talking about a personal story-based email. And I'm going to actually dive into that today because it's so important. It's the one thing that has actually made me probably the most money, maybe second to the Facebook method.

We'll talk about that. But it's just so much money is being left on the table because people don't understand the importance of that. That was number four. And number five, the final income-producing activity that I spent my time focusing on was new member coaching, upgrading my team by asking the right questions. So basically, every single day usually, I'm talking with a few team members and really just addressing some questions and always helping them upgrade to the next product.

And you know what? As my team grew, I started doing that for other people that I didn't even get paid off of. I just created a habit, which was always that, you know, listen, there's so many answers in the additional products. There's so many reasons people should own the additional products. It was kind of that ABC line, always be closing, always be selling, always be moving people to the next product.

So I was all, and we call it in our business here, we call it new member coaching. When a person joins, all they really know about is a $25 product. Then they start seeing a couple ups and downs.

But they don't really understand it. And a lot of times they don't buy. What you don't realize is that these people are all sitting there anxious to want to make money on the internet, anxious to want to make this thing work for them, but they actually need to be knocked off the fence. And that's one of the significant reasons why I've made much more than some of my counterparts who have maybe been in equal amount of time or whatever, is because I would spend so much time actually doing that.

So let's just quickly repeat these five and let's go into each one just real quick. number one, Facebook chat. Number two, Facebook method. Number three, write an SEO post, blog post. Number four, email my list.

And number five, new member coaching. Okay, so let's just kind of dive into these. Okay, number one, Facebook chat. So what I would do is this. I have built a large amount of friends on Facebook.

My certain situation is kind of weird because I don't know a lot of them. There was a time where I was just really just adding a lot of people. And if anybody requested me, there was a time where I would just accept everybody unconditionally. It didn't matter who they were. So I've got like fake profiles in there.

I've got people who probably are weird. I've got people, like literally when I go to my Facebook chat, I don't even recognize half the names. So it's a really interesting situation I find myself in. But as I've coached new people on the team, I find that a lot of them, they actually know who a lot of the people are in their Facebook chat. And it's actually a lot easier.

In fact, I'm envious and jealous of a lot of people. So I want to make one thing clear. I'm not saying that you should go out there and just go contact all your family members, you know, and have them all say, well, this sounds good. We'll wait to see how you do. Okay, no, that's how every other business is built.

That's not how we're going to build it here. What I'm saying is you use the Facebook method strategy, but you use it with people who are on instant chat. Okay, let me repeat this. I want to make sure everybody's clear. Use the Facebook method strategy, but use it with people who are already your friends and who are online, where you can chat with them.

The reason is, is because the Facebook method is kind of long and drawn out. You know, you're sending messages, you're hoping for replies. Sometimes they don't reply for a month. Whereas chat is very, very instant. Now, I will tell you, chat does take a little bit more skills because you're kind of off the cuff.

You know, you're kind of just, you're kind of right off the cuff there. So what happens is, literally, that sometimes they might ask you something, and you're on the spot, and you have to think. But here's the good news. It's not like a phone call or an in-person meeting. If you're sitting at a Starbucks talking with somebody, and they ask you a question, you've got to answer right on the spot.

Same with a phone call. But when you're on chat, and somebody asks you a question, you actually have time to get back to them. You don't have to get back to them that second. Okay, the faster you're able to get back to them, the more the conversation will flow. But at the same time, you have time to actually think out your response, heck, you've got time, there's been times where I've gone and looked stuff up.

So they'll ask a question, and I'll go to another window. I'll start looking something up, and get back to them with some actual real information. So Facebook chat, to me, the whole idea of chat is amazing because it's a little bit more delayed than a normal phone conversation, giving you just a little bit more time to be more professional, to check your spelling if you want, to come across a little bit smarter, a little bit more, you know, than sometimes just being kind of dumb, where they ask you a question, you're like, well, I don't know. And then you're like, great, this isn't going well. No, it's more a little bit like if they ask you a question, say, you know, you just get right back to them with the answer.

So I always liked Facebook chat. To me, I thought that's a brilliant resource. That's where I started. I highly recommend you all do too. What I'll do is I'll just log in, and I'll go through Facebook chat.

And usually, I'll just throw out a quick icebreaker. You know, like, say I run into somebody named Tommy, I'll just go, hey, Tommy, I noticed you're online right now. Do you have a quick second to chat? See, I'm going into the Assumptive Facebook chat.

Obviously, we're already friends. Obviously, we're available on chat. So you know, it's very, I'm just assuming, yeah, of course they'd be open to chat. And then the one thing I'm very careful of is I don't spam people links.

I never spam anybody any links. I'm very, very professional with this method, okay? I don't want anybody clicking the spam button. So what I'll do is I'll start up a conversation. I'll throw out an icebreaker.

They start talking. And then as soon as they respond back, I'll probably start up about 10 of these at a time. I'll start up like 10 conversations, As soon as they respond back and show me that they're interested, I'll click on their profile and I'll just quickly go to their About tab and then I'll just learn a little bit more about them or maybe see what some of their recent posts are and start up some conversation. Hey, Tommy, I saw that you posted about the San Francisco Giants the other day. You're a Giants fan?

So am I, from the Bay Area. So that's cool. And just start up a conversation about something. Or, hey, Tommy, I noticed that you have XYZ site listed on your profile. I had a chance to check it out.

It's pretty cool. Is that WordPress that you're using? Start up something. Just start up a conversation about whatever it is. It's very cool.

Maybe look at some of their hobbies or some of the things. And I'm always looking for something that is a common bond, especially something like, let's say, golf. If I see that somebody golfs, I love talking golf with people because I love to golf as well. So it's just a little common bond. You know, talk about golf.

And those are just a couple things that work for me. It's like find things to relate to them with, start up a conversation, find out what they're doing with business. Inevitably, they're going to ask what I do for business, and I just do my best to try to transition that and lead that into them wanting to hear more. I grab their best email address, and then I email them some information. So it's a great way to generate some leads.

It's a great way. And then I can email them over. You know, any one of our Team Take Massive Action sales, pages, or just whatever it is I feel like using at the moment. And usually, I'll do that all by email. That's just my style.

I know a lot of you like sending links right there on Facebook. That's your thing. And if that's your thing, totally cool. I do that as well. I did that just today.

So the bottom line with Facebook chat, and then I'm going to wrap up. The bottom line is it's instant. These are instant results. If people go, well, Chris, how are you making money so fast? Well, I mean, honestly, it's stuff like Facebook.

Facebook chat. It's basically just as real as picking up the phone and calling somebody, but you have a little bit more time, a little bit more flexibility. Plus, you could do it at very odd hours. Plus, I've got two little kids running around, so it just works for me. Now, if some of you are never in front of a computer, you know, like we've got people on our team that are truck drivers.

We have people on our team that are mailmen. You know, I can name a few professions that we have. If you're not in front of your computer that much, you might want to replace that with like a text message. In instant chat, it's similar to a text message. A text message, you know, you could text message somebody and just see what's new, what's going on, and just start a conversation back and forth.

So, you know, you're able to stay in touch with people. And then if you feel comfortable, maybe a phone call. But if you're a computer-based person, it's all about chat. It's a great way. Okay, let's move to number two.

Number two is the Facebook method. And my goal is to contact about 15 to 20 to 25 people per day. And sometimes I'll do it spread out over the course today, because of just the way my time works. I'll have little blocks of time. If I know I've got 15 minutes, then usually what I'll do is I'll say, if I've got 15 minutes, one of my favorite things to do is go, hey, I'm going to contact 10 people real quick.

Now, first of all, before I get into that, let's just talk about that whole line I just said. If I have 15 minutes available. Okay, some of you have the whole day available. But if you treat yourself like you have the whole day available, you're going to be very, very inefficient with your time. You're going to be very ineffective with your time.

If I have the whole day available, the first thing I would do is I would fill it. Okay, so that I could never say, oh, I've got an hour or two hours or three hours just sitting around. I'll just do the Facebook method. You'll end up just spending three hours just on Facebook. You know what I mean?

It's just ineffective. So what I would challenge everybody to do real quick on a side note is just learn to get very effective with your time, especially we live in a day and age where so many people are unemployed. And when people are unemployed, no offense to anybody that's on the phone that's unemployed, but I'll tell you right now, of the people that I've met and known that are unemployed, they seem to be the most ineffective with their time. Because when people are unemployed, they're always saying like, well, I can't really work because then I lose my unemployment or whatever. There's this and that.

They're not really filling their time with income-producing activities, which is just totally damaging. If you're unemployed, you should start up your own business, and you should be completely effective with all of that time. I mean, that would be a godsend to be able to do that. You've got to be effective with your time. You've got to start blocking out your time.

You've got to start working. You've got to start working from prioritizing your time. You've got to treat it important because you deserve it and you're worth it. So I would have 15 minutes available. I'd say, perfect, let me just try to contact 10 people real quick with the Facebook method.

And I'll go on and I'll do my little searches. I'll choose some random keywords. I love mixing it up and just meeting different people. And I'll usually target certain cities. So I might target like 10 people from a random city that I think is just a cool place.

Because then I can start a topic about, or maybe I'll start a city of like somewhere where I've been. Or I'll start a city where there's like a lot of golf courses or something. I mean, I'll get creative. So I might be starting up a city that I know a lot about, just from a historical standpoint. Or maybe start a city I used to live in.

I would just start a conversation, boom, rapid fire, contact 10 people. I'll never really cut and paste. In fact, I barely ever cut and paste. I'm all about originality and uniqueness. My number one goal is to strike up originality.

Real conversation with them. So I have a high rate of responses, personally. A high rate. Because I just keep it so real with people. And there's just, when they look at my messages, there's just no way they think that it's spam.

Now, some people might take a month to get back to me. But that's just the way Facebook works. I mean, a lot of people aren't on Facebook every day. Just because their name shows up in search doesn't mean that they're on Facebook 10 times a day. Okay, so there's just a lot to it.

There's just a lot to the game. But I'll go and I'll quickly do that. The Facebook method has been my lifeblood. The Facebook method in itself has really seriously been where I've made a lot of connections. Between those two, Facebook chat and the Facebook method has been at least 50% of my business, if not more.

And that's free advertising. And there's about a billion people on Facebook. So there's this massive market of free advertising where you can target people you actually want to have conversations with. I think it's just this amazing, brilliant thing. Now, it's not my only income-producing activity, but it's just my favorite because of that nature.

But again, if you're easily distracted, it's not going to work for you. First, you've got to learn how to get focused. So you might want to really start studying focus or do something or just sit down and your intention has to be, I am going to focus. I am not going to get drifted away while I'm doing this. Otherwise, you'll be very ineffective with your time there.

And the last thing I want to say about Facebook method is that literally, with the Facebook method, a lot of people will try it for three or four days and then they'll come into our Facebook group and they'll talk about how it's not working or they'll talk about how they're not getting responses fast enough and all this kind of stuff. Now listen, that's not how the Facebook method works. So please, if you're doing that, if you're reacting that way, that's not at all how it works. That's like me writing a blog post and expecting it to get indexed in Google the same day or the same time. Well, that's not how Google works.

It's like me writing 10 blog posts and expecting that I should have 10 leads or 100 leads. No, that's not how it works. I mean, look, these things take time. These things are daily disciplined actions. I always tell myself, look, if this took a year, if I squeezed out an extra 10 minutes or 15 minutes here, a year is going to go by anyways.

I might as well squeeze out some extra time. If this took a year, jeez, I'd have 5,000 highly targeted friends on Facebook with conversations every single day. I would have tons of blog posts. I would have tons of activity. Even if it took a whole year before I really started cracking the code and creating some money from it, gosh, that would still be worth it.

It would just still be so worth it. That's my attitude. And some people go, Chris, you don't understand my situation. I need this money now. Well, if you come from that needy position in your mind, then you're probably not going to get results.

So you need to come from this abundant attitude. The abundant attitude is where you want to live. That's where you want to be. The abundant attitude is that, hey, even if this took a year to get results, it would still be worth it. So I'm not worried at all.

I'm just going to do my daily disciplined action. I'm willing to get them excited about the business. I'm willing to break down the compensation plan to people and talk with them and answer questions because I'm abundant. I'm not worried about, you know, whether or not someone's going to join. The last thing in my mind would be to worry about whether or not someone's going to join.

Wow, I mean, think about how much stress that would cause if somebody didn't join. Imagine if I was on Facebook Method and I was talking to somebody and they were interested and they were getting ready to join and they didn't. If I got frustrated with that, imagine how much of a time suck that would be. Imagine all of that time, energy, stress, and everything over that one person. No, I don't have time for that.

I'm going to take all that same time, energy, and stress and put it in my mind. I'm going to put it on contacting other people instead and continue to do income-producing activities. So many people worry. So many people stress. It just doesn't work.

It's not going to get you a better result, so why would you do it? Stress is a non-income-producing activity. Worrying is a non-income-producing activity. In fact, those are income-sucking activities. They'll suck the income right out of your wallet because they'll trick you.

They'll deceive you into you'll think it's important to worry and stress over what's going on. Meanwhile, that's time that you can't get back. And you can't get back that time. And that time could have been spent on an income-producing activity which would fix the situation. So instead of fixing it, you're just soaking in it.

It just doesn't work. And I see so many people do that. That's the reason I'm bringing it up is because I see it a lot. It just doesn't work. Look, daily disciplined action.

Start real conversations, real engagement with real people. Don't spam. Don't do a bunch of copying and pasting. Don't contact too many people because Facebook will send you warning messages. And if you ever get a warning message from Facebook, please, slow down.

You're getting a warning because you're doing something wrong. I mean, I've been doing and teaching this since late 2009, and I've only received a Facebook warning once. And I toned it down, and I was consistent. I do a little bit here, a little bit there. And I would just always do it.

Okay, it's kind of like going to the gym. If you go to the gym and work yourself out too hard, you're going to be sore the next day, and it's going to be an unpleasant workout. But if you go and you kind of get into a habit, I mean, you're still going to be sore. But every single day, you're going to be disciplined to go back, and, you know, you're not doing too much all-in-one workout. You know, you're actually just spreading it out.

I'll tell you a quick story there about the gym. When I started, decided I wanted to get back in shape, I went to the gym, and I met up with a personal trainer, and I said, all right, I think, you know, the last time I was benching, I think I can max 200 pounds. And he took one look at me and said, Chris, man, how long has it been? I'm like, well, you know, it's just been a couple years, a few years, maybe four or five years. I don't know.

And he goes, Chris, we're not going to start you there. And he started me on this super light weight. I felt like a little wussy in the gym. I did. I had the bench press.

Instead of the big plates on the side like everybody else had, I had this to the bar with, like, I forget, like little tens on the side or something. And, you know, I weighed about 215 pounds at the time, 220 pounds. I was trying to get back in shape. I was a little overweight. But I was a pretty heavy guy.

I mean, I could lift way more. But sure enough, he had me there focusing on the right motion, the right, you know, format for exactly what I'm going to do, just getting me back in the pace. And he said, Chris, just trust me. We're going to do some daily consistent actions. And over time, your weight's going to go up.

And I believed him. And I did it. And I went to the gym almost every single day, about four or five times a week. I'm working out with these light weights. I'm not caring what people think that I'm a wussy.

And then sure enough, before you knew it, I was right back to benching a couple hundred pounds. And I even started adding, I even broke my max ever. What's crazy is that I was losing weight. I went in there at about 225, but I'd lost about 50 pounds. So now I'm down to about 175 after a few months, but yet lifting more weight than I used to lift when I was 225.

So I lost 50 pounds, but gained so much muscle in the process, I could lift more. It's amazing. And that's how business is like. It's a great analogy. The gym is always a great analogy for business.

If you're ever looking for an analogy, think through the gym or think through losing weight or fitness or something. It just works. You know, it's those daily, repetitive, consistent activities. And any time that you fall out of them, so let's say you're on a streak and you're losing weight. Let's say you feel so good about yourself, and then you hit your goal.

Well, then let's say you don't go to the gym for a week. What happens? Does that not turn into two weeks? I mean, how many people on the call can seriously relate to this? One week turns into two weeks.

Two weeks turns into three weeks. And then you get out of it and you go to the gym for a day and you feel good about yourself. But now you feel good. Then you don't go for a couple more weeks. Now you're in this inconsistent randomness where you're pretty much just going because you're paying for a membership and you're barely even going.

And then you're starting to make excuses in your mind like, you know, I'm going to go to the gym again as soon as I can really commit to it. When I go again, I'm going to go every day. I'm going to go every single day. I'm going to do this and that. And you start painting this big, big, big picture instead of just getting your butt up off the couch and going to the gym right then and right there.

You see what I mean? So what happens is excusitis takes over and we fall out of that habit. And as soon as we fall out of that daily disciplined habit in business, the same exact thing, right, we start falling back into our old lifestyle which was not where we wanted to be. We were heading in a new direction. We fell out.

Now this relates to, for instance, people in the Facebook group. If I was to go back three months in the Facebook group and start looking at all the people that were posting then, a lot of them are not posting now. Even some of the people on the call today, you used to be super active. You're in the Facebook group and I haven't seen you in the Facebook group for a few months. And guess what?

If I'm your mentor, I could also tell by how many pass-up sales you're passing up how active you are. And so if you're disappearing from the Facebook group and you're not passing up sales, guess what? You've done the whole gym thing. You went from being at the gym. I'm like the personal trainer at the gym, right?

I don't see you. I know you're not there. I know you're not doing it. And you're kind of hiding from it. Okay, I'm not saying you need to go be on the Facebook group every day, I'm saying it's similar.

It's similar. You know it. Some of you are listening right now and you know there's been a part of your life where you're really disciplined and really focused and then there's parts where you drift. Look, you need to just learn to get focused. That's it.

You just need to learn to kill that broken focus, just laser in and go, you know what? I'm going to do this thing long enough to get a result this time. I'm not just going to go in for a week or a month and get all spiky with my result and just get all intense and then disappear for a month. You know, aren't you sick and tired of that? Aren't you sick and tired of disappearing?

Aren't you sick and tired of you're so focused, you're doing these daily income producing activities and then out of nowhere, you just start making excuses. And guess what? It doesn't work. That's not a recipe for success in any part of your life. That's not a recipe for success for your marriage.

That's not a recipe of success for your health, for your business, for your faith. Is it a recipe for success for any of that? I mean, you could apply the same model to almost anything. And really, it's the daily discipline and it's the weekly discipline and it's staying in the game and not drifting. So I will congratulate you all that you're here on the call.

Being here on the call, you're at least hanging in there. You're hanging in there, okay? You haven't quit. You haven't given up. You're hanging in there.

But you got to reel yourself back in. You got to reel yourself back in and go, you know, I'm sick and tired of, you know, one month up, one month down, one month. I'm just going to stay in. I'm going to focus and I'm going to trust that the system works. I'm going to develop my own list of daily income producing activities that I'm going to sit down and every single day for at least an hour a day or two hours a day, I'm just going to focus on these things, okay? And I'm going to trust that the process is going to work. And I'm going to stay active in the Facebook group because the Facebook group is your accountability. I see a lot of people popping in there and saying they want accountability partners.

Well, guess what? You have an accountability team. Why not just use the whole team as your accountability? You've got an accountability team. You know what?

I'm in the Facebook group daily. And I guarantee I have just as little time as anybody else. I have as little time as anybody here and yet I make the time to be there. You know, I do that because of my daily activity. If I started falling out of the Facebook group for a day or two, guess what would happen?

I would drift. Because we have that built into our DNA, into our nature. We've got to fight that. And that's what causes us to be successful is that we overcome and we're triumphant over the struggle, okay? So that's what I'm trying to encourage you here.

I'm sharing these income producing activities but you have to get it within you to be very, very disciplined and very consistent. With these activities, okay? So again, most of my income, most of my success has been done with the first two of the five. The Facebook method and Facebook chat. And I hope you appreciate me for spending about 15 to 20 minutes right there really breaking down the psychology behind those to help you stay focused and stay in the game with them.

Because I noticed so many people are really, really wanting those to work. So I really felt like it was important to take 15 minutes there, 20 minutes there, whatever, and break it all down. Okay. Let's move on. Let's move on.

The third activity that I talked about was the blogging, okay? I talked about writing an SEO focused blog post, okay? And doing it with a strong call to action. So there's really three things that are happening there. You're writing a blog post.

It's SEO focused, meaning search engine optimized and it has a strong call to action, okay? And there's actually one thing I left out of my list. And mind you, I found this list on my computer from June. Back in June, I found this list from June 10th, okay? This is six months ago that I found this list. The one thing that I should have added then that I have since added is to also promote that blog post. So I don't just write a blog post. I spend an equal amount of time promoting it.

Promoting it is, you got to drive traffic, okay? So I spend, I write it and promote it. I think those are equally important. So let's take a couple minutes and talk about this. So a lot of people on the team, I'm really proud of you.

A lot of you blog. And I've been giving you assignments, okay? And you've been doing them. And I've been checking out people's blogs, okay? But there's still a few real clear missing things.

So I really kind of want to focus. I know some of you are beginners and haven't even started blogging. But listen, this recording is going to be available in the inner circle. So it's a little bit more of an upgraded call. I'm not going to focus so much on beginner blogging here.

I want to focus on the people that are already blogging. And I want to talk about what I did as, it wasn't even a daily activity to be honest. I think I wrote 30 blog posts in my first month. So it ended up being, I'm not talking about a blog post a day. But what I would do is sometimes I'd miss several days, okay?

Here's what it comes down to. What you want to do is you want to create a situation where it doesn't take you a lot of time to write a blog post. That's the very first thing you want to do. Create a situation. Create some sort of situation where it doesn't take you a lot of time.

Now I'm going to give you a couple ideas right now. But this is so, so, so important. Please don't let me speak so fast right now that you miss this amount. I want you to focus. I want you to create a situation where it does not take you a long time to write a blog post.

Because if it does, chances are you won't be consistent with it. It's a fact. That's just a fact of human science. I mean, people drift really easily. We have ADD, right?

We need things to be very, very simple and very focused in order for us to do them and keep up with them. So what do I mean by that? Well, first things first. When I sit down to write a blog post, I never, ever sit down and think about what I'm going to write. Ever.

That, to me, is just a huge time suck. I'm not going to sit down and think about what I'm going to write. I made that mistake when I was brand new to blogging. You don't want to do that. Here's what you want to do instead.

You want to already know what you're going to write about. You should already know in advance what it is you're going to write about. So one day, you could take one day, you could take a Sunday afternoon and sit down and come up with a theme for your blog and come up with a bunch of topics you're going to write about. You could write up a list of the things that you're going to blog about. You could do that.

Just so many ideas out there. You could be reviewing all the products. Some of you listen to an inner circle audio every single day. Well, there's your content. Your theme, for instance, could be that I'm going to take a lesson from the inner circle audio and blog about it.

I'm going to do that every single day. That could be your theme. So now you don't have to think about what to blog about because you're already listening. You're already listening to the inner circle audio. So all you're doing is you're just taking a couple notes while you're listening to the inner circle audio and then you're blogging about them.

And you're not giving away all the content. You're just personalizing it and making it your own. An example blog post could be, let's say on the inner circle audio, let's say you listen to Chris Campbell and he's talking about paid advertising strategies. So it's just a real general talk. It lasts like an hour.

What you could do is you can simplify it and break it down where maybe in that talk, maybe he mentioned that there was five advertising strategies that were really good. So what you might do is you might title your blog post five paid advertising strategies that really work. You might title it something like that. Explanation point. Five paid advertising strategies that really work.

And then you might go down and you really quickly with your header tags, you'd write what each one is. Number one, blank. Number two, blank. Number three, blank. Number four, blank.

Number five, blank. Number six, blank. Now you got them all. There's your post. All you got to do now is just go write a little paragraph or two about each one.

I mean, that's it. You don't even have to say, oh, you can leave out a lot of stuff. You don't have to say, oh, I was listening to the inner circle module today with Empower Network and this and that. No, you could just literally be teaching people on your blog. Hey, here's five advertising strategies that I've been studying that are great.

You know, boom. And then you write them out and you write them in your own words. You write your review of each one. You know, hey, you know, or you could even reference speakers. You could say, you know, one of the legendary guys out there in the industry is a guy named Chris Campbell.

In a recent talk that he gave, he talked about different paid advertising strategies that really work. I went ahead and took notes and I want to share with you five of them today that I thought were just brilliant. So here's the five. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Okay, you write it.

See, when you don't have to think as much, when you're just sitting there and you're already listening to inner circle, all you're doing is taking notes, taking those notes and converting them into a book. Okay. So that's it.

You're converting them into a blog post. So now you know exactly what your content is every single day and you're tackling two birds with one stone. Now, maybe it's not inner circle. Maybe some of you are like, man, I don't have an hour to listen to inner circle and then an hour to blog about it. That was me.

I didn't actually have the time to do both of those. So another example would be maybe something shorter. What about a YouTube video? What about just, what about take a topic, take any topic in the world, okay? Take search engine optimization, let's say.

Let's say you have a goal. Hey, I hear all about this SEO stuff. I don't really know it. So you know what? I'm going to study it and I'm going to study it a little bit every single day.

Perfect. Go into YouTube, okay? And find a search engine optimization video. It's like five minutes long and watch it, okay? And then you can embed the video on your blog and just write a little summary about it.

You know, a few paragraphs about it maybe. Okay. So you just, you just, you literally just sit there and you write, okay? Maybe the, maybe the strategy they talked about is something called long term optimization. Long tail keyword.

You're thinking to yourself, I've never heard of this before. Bingo. You know how many people have heard that and they never heard of it before. So what do they do? They go to Google and they start searching, trying to find out more about long tail keywords.

That's when your blog post is going to, going to show up. So your title might be something like, you know, what are long tail keywords and how do they help with SEO to get your posts to rank higher? Okay. Your title. Your title.

Your title might be something like that. And then you post a video. Say, you know, hey, I was, I was on YouTube today. I came across a great video that had to do with long tail keywords. And, you know, I'm still learning a lot of this myself.

So I wanted to watch it. I thought it was great. So I posted it here for everybody to share. And then underneath that, you could say, you know, here's my takeaway from the video. Here's, here's three lessons that I feel like I really learned from this video.

And you basically, what you're doing is you're giving people like a cliff notes version. And you're not just copying and pasting. You're challenging yourself to actually become a blogger. Because if you, if you really can develop that skill, you can make a lot of money. You're just, you're just, you're just giving a little summary there.

Boom. You could take one topic, SEO, and there's probably a hundred videos in there. You could even take one day, like a Sunday, and just not even blog, but just go through YouTube and just bookmark really cool SEO videos. You could just go through and just be searching SEO and take one day and study it. And, you know, bookmark all those SEO videos.

You could favorite, they'll show up in your favorites list. Or you can literally just copy the URLs. Or you can copy the embed code if you want. Or whatever, whatever your style is. I don't know what your style is.

Copy the URL and go visit it later. But there you go. You can, in one day, you could probably find a list of 30 of those videos. And now you have a whole entire month's worth of content. So going back to square one here, set yourself up in a situation where you don't have to spend much time blogging.

Where you don't have to spend a lot of time blogging. You don't have to spend much time thinking about it. All you have to do is you have your agenda right in front of you. Now it's an income-producing activity. We're very, very specific with time.

You know what you're going to blog about. You know how to get the content together. You don't have to think much. Now you can just do. You don't have to think.

You can just do. Doing is where you make money. Thinking is where you spend time, you waste time. You don't want to spend time thinking. You want to spend time actually doing.

Less time thinking, more time doing. Who cares if you mess it up? It's going to be a learning experience no matter how long you spend.

No matter how much time you take trying to make your blog post perfect, you're still probably going to suck for a long time. And then eventually you're just going to get good. And one day everybody's going to be like, oh, I wish I was as good as you. And you're going to say, what? I sucked like three months ago.

And now people are saying that they wish they could be like me and I'm such a good blogger. That's just what happens. So in summary, be very, very specific. Have a very good SEO focus on what you want to do and don't spend much time doing it. Literally, the YouTube strategy I'm going to give you is you could literally bust out a post with about five paragraphs worth of content inside of 15 minutes or 20 minutes because you already have the video.

You just watch the video. It's five minutes long and you spend another 15 minutes just writing about it. And then you're done. Now you can spend another 15 minutes promoting it. So to promote it, you can go on Facebook or you could go into some groups.

You can go start conversations with people. You can send it out on your email list. You can share it with your team. So many things you could do. So many, so many, so many things.

So the last part about that is the strong call to action. The strong call to action. So what a strong call to action is, this is, I'm going to tell you right now, this has been my million dollar mistake. I'm going to make a bold statement right now. If I would have learned about the importance of a call to action earlier in my career, I think I'd be earning seven figures right now, not six.

I think I'd be earning seven figures right now if I would have understood this earlier. You know, true story. True story is I used to have a blog at chrisrecord.com. That was an old blog of mine. And it's gone now.

And on that blog, I figured out a way to get traffic. And I started writing, I started basically writing blog posts and getting a ton of traffic. I mean, literally tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of visitors. It was my first like big experience with traffic. And I would look at my analytics stats every single day and I was so excited.

It was crazy. And I did have some banners on the side of the blog. So on the side, I had like three or four banners. I had hit gold. I had a blog.

I was working it. Now, the blog that I currently have compared to the old one, my old blog did 10 times more traffic. 10 times more. Just from the blog. My last blog took me over a year to get going.

And I spent a bunch of money. I mean, it cost me a few thousand dollars to even get the whole thing set up compared to $25 to get this one set up. And it took me a whole year. I had no idea. I had no idea about the call to action.

So what happened was I had to learn that. And if I can save you a year's worth of journey, several thousands of dollars worth of mistakes that I made, and potentially millions of dollars in lost revenue, I'm going to say right now, every single blog post should have a call to action on it. Your goal should be a call to action. Now, sometimes you're going to need to experiment. I've had people in my comments tell me that my call to action was too strong for them.

Eh, who cares? I've had other blog posts where the call to action was so weak, no one ever did any. You're going to, it's going to take time. I'm still learning alongside with you. But the point is, is that don't expect that people are just going to click the banners when they come to your blog.

Sure, that will happen. But please don't fall for the trap of just expecting that will happen. Every single blog post that you write should have a call to action on it. You want to come up with some sort of transition. An example transition, right?

If you're sharing about that SEO video that you found, you know, at the end of it, you could say, you know, something like this. You could say for those, at the end of your post, you could say, hey, and for those of you that are seriously interested in learning more about search engine optimization, you know, do you have your own site? Are you looking to get a site set up? Are you looking to rank in the first page of Google? Well, you're in good luck.

I happen to work with an internet marketing community and we're specifically teaching and helping people to rank on the first page of Google. If you're interested in seeing exactly how to do that, then click here, okay? Or click the banner. Click below, okay? And then, you know, something like that.

That's a very, that's a transition and a call to action. Your blog post was about SEO, so guess what? At the bottom of your post, now you're linking off and you can link off and, you know, whatever. To Dave, to the Dave Wood video where he talks about how powerful the Empower Network blogging system is. You can link off to one of our custom funnels.

You know, so much stuff you can do there. Or you can literally just tell people to contact you. You can say, hey, if you're interested in, you can say things like this. Hey, if you're interested in watching a free SEO video, I can't share it just right here, but if you contact me and mention that you're interested in an SEO video, I'll send it to you. I'll reply and I'll send it to you so you can watch it.

And then, boom, when they reply, you just send them a link to one of the Team Take Massive Action pages. Next thing you know, bam, there they are. You know, so listen, I hope you're finding value in that. That's the component, the components of an effective blog post. And that was one of my primary income producing activities that has helped me generate a significant amount of money.

Okay, step number four. Income producing activity number four was to email my list, and I would email them a personalized story-based email. Story-based email with a strong call to action in it. So there's really, we identified this in one of the earlier TMA calls. In one of the earlier calls, we discussed the different types of emails that you can send.

You can send an autoresponder email. That's where you just simply copy a file and then basically pre-written emails go out on your behalf. Okay, those are going out even while you sleep. Another type of email is a swipe, a swipe email, and that is where somebody will write an email like David would, let's say, promoting the Monday night call. And he'll send it all, and he'll say, hey, if you want to swipe this and use it, feel free.

So what you do is you basically copy and paste his email and change the links around. And you might put a little preface in the beginning that says, hey, my business partner David just put out a powerful email. I wanted to share it with everybody tonight. If you're able to get on the call, get on. Okay.

You just paste his email. And remember, if you do that, if they have any links pointing to whatever the call to action is, make sure that you put your ID in those. Make sure you change links to your ID. That's called swiping. Somebody else does the work of writing.

You just copy and paste. Now, the third type is your own personal broadcast email. This is where you're personally writing emails to your list. Okay, I've done all three. The ones that convert the highest amount of sales are always the personal emails.

So my first question before I get into this is this. I want you to answer in your own mind right now. Okay. How many personalized emails have you sent out to your list? How many personal emails where you actually wrote the whole thing up yourself have you sent out to your list as a broadcast message?

Now, of course, on this call, we have varying levels of experience in people. We have some people that have big lists that are probably saying, oh, yeah, I do that all the time. We have some people who have small lists who are probably saying, you know, Chris, I don't even understand this Aweber thing. Okay, so I don't even know if I'm ready to do that yet. We have varying different personalities.

We have some people who have a decent amount of people on their list, but unfortunately, they're intimidated to write personal emails. You know, their screen goes blank. They don't know what to do. And then there's some people who would love to be writing personal emails, but you feel like you don't have a list. You're like, Chris, I only have five people on my list.

Okay, to all of you, regardless of your personality, of the size of your list, your experience or anything, do it. You just start doing it. Start doing it. Tomorrow, tonight, heck, I don't know. It depends on where you are in the country, I guess.

But tomorrow, just write an email. Who cares if you have one? Put your mom's name on a list or something, okay? Put your spouse's name on a list. Be like, honey, did you get that email I sent out yesterday to the whole list?

You know, just look, just do it, right? The whole idea here is that you're going to create a story for yourself. You're going to create a journey. You're going to literally, your experience, your experience with Team Take Massive Action is going to be an educational journey. You're going to go from point A to point B.

And the only way you're going to get there is to get in the car and drive. So literally, start getting in the car and driving. Stop sitting on the sidelines and watching other people doing it and waiting until you're ready. That's not how it works. You're never going to be ready, okay?

That's why you haven't done it yet. So listen, just do it. If you've got fears, just get over it. Get over it, okay? Send out a personal email.

So I'll talk to you a little bit about it right now, but I'm going to tell you, your assignment is to start doing this. It's simple. You log into AWeber, go to your list, go to, you know, send a broadcast email, and just start typing. Type something up. Even if you suck, right?

You're probably going to suck no matter what. So just suck for a little while and eventually get better. If I showed you some of my original emails, I think a lot of you would laugh at me and be like, well, I could do that. But, because see, I just don't care so much what other people think of me, so I'm afraid, I'm not afraid to suck for a little while and then just eventually get good. And what I do is I study people.

I get on other people's email lists and I study the stuff that they write. A lot of you might just copy and paste it, and I've done my fair share of that. That's called swiping. But I'll actually look, I'll actually look deeper. I'll look at what they're doing here, okay?

I'll look at what they're doing. I mean, good examples would include, you know, like Tony Rush, okay? Okay. I love when Tony Rush sends out emails because what he does is he always starts out with a story. Now, the story's super simple.

You know, an example, if I was to send out an email right this second, you know, I might say something like, you know, I might say something like, hey, guys, Chris Record here. I wanted to shoot out a quick email because I got a little bit of time here before my wife comes back with, she's going to grab some sushi for the family. So I got a couple minutes here before she gets back. And while I'm sitting here thinking about how great this sushi dinner's going to be, I'm also sitting here knowing that there's so many of you right now that are going through struggles trying to promote your business. And some of you, if you're going through a struggle like I have before, I want to ask you a couple questions right now, you know, boom, boom, boom.

Something like that. Obviously, I'm just freestyling right now. But something like that. The whole idea is you start off with a very real situation of what's going on. Like right now, my wife really is out getting sushi.

She really is going to bring me some back. And I really am sitting here right now. Okay. The more you can tell little stories like that. Okay.

And the other thing I want you to do is I want you to think of stories of your past. You know, I want to think of stories of your past. I want you to share real stuff. Now, you don't have to get crazy hardcore at first. You might share simple stories.

Okay. Here, I'll give you an example of something just like just super simple. So go, hey guys, Chris Record here. And I just want to take a minute. I got something on my mind.

You know, I got a question. How many of you out there grew up playing baseball? I mean, how many of you out there or even watch baseball on TV? Well, that was me. You know, I grew up playing baseball, you know, little league and this and that.

My grandpa was a coach and tell a little bit about my grandpa. And you know, one thing I've always just kind of loved is baseball growing up. Now, I want to tell you a little story that happened to me one time. Boom, boom, boom. About some time I hit a home run or boom, boom.

How good that felt. You know, and then the other day, I had a very similar experience in business. I was doing this, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. And I hit what I would call a business home run. And you know, the feeling felt the same.

I felt like I was a little kid again back then. There, running around those bases, having just hit a home run, but I did it in business. And you know, after I felt that feeling, that the feeling that came over me, it was wanting to be able to help more people experience that. And then boom, now you go into what's in it for them. So look, obviously I'm freestyling with you guys right here on the call.

My goal here is not to come up with a hundred different pre-written, you know, concepts for you. My goal is to tell you, it's all about becoming a little bit of a storyteller in your emails, personalizing a little bit. You know, I'm a storyteller.

Mention maybe what you did for the day or mention something that makes the date relevant. You know, like is there a major sporting event that's happening or is there something major happening in the news? Is there a hurricane somewhere? Is there whatever it is, you know, and maybe start off your thing. Now, what happens is this.

Facts tell, stories sell. Facts tell, stories sell. So what you want to do is you want to just really get good at storytelling. You want to get good at starting to weave stories in. And it's an art that takes a little bit of practice so what I want you to do is practice.

I want you to start doing it now knowing that eventually you're going to have a big list. Trust that you're going to have a big list. So start doing it now with your small list while it's growing. Just try. Say, hey, you know, Chris Record here today.

I wanted to check in with you real quick about some exciting, you know, new business, about an exciting new business strategy I want to share. But first, you know, I just want to quickly tell you, you know, whatever. Boom, you get into a personal story. You know, or maybe there's something going on in the news, you know, and say, hey, you know, I was just sitting here watching the news about this going on, this going on. And, you know, the feeling came over to me on how negative the news is.

You know, have you ever been sitting there watching the news and then suddenly you're like, why am I watching the news? This is just negative. You know, and then I'm watching CNN and guess what CNN stands for? Constantly Negative News. You know, so I'm sitting here just listening to the news and, you know, something came over to me and I turned off the TV.

Now, how many of you on this email, how many of you reading this? Have you ever done that? You've caught yourself when something was negative and you turned off the TV or you turned off that negative thing. Well, that's what I did today and then I started feeling positive and I started doing things that were positive. And, you know, you guys, look, I'm freestyling.

But you see where I'm going. And, sure, I might be able to freestyle and come up with this stuff on the spot and talk really fast while I'm doing it. But the reality is that even if it took you 15 minutes to kind of piece that together, that, if you study other people's emails, that's what they always do. One of the legends in the business in internet marketing is Frank Kern.

Frank Kern just sent out a powerful email about his wife and they just had a kid. And, you know, it's just like you read it and it's just story-based. It sucks you in. You can tell his intention with that email was to draw you in to what was going on. Now, not every email has to sell.

You don't have to be selling and closing on every single email. There could be times where you're just serving people with value. But I want to make it clear. If all you're ever doing is serving people with value, a lot of people aren't going to take action. Unfortunately, people need to be told to take action.

So you need to get, and a lot of times people have to be persuaded. It's what they want to do, but if it's up to them, they'll stall out on it for as long as they can. They'll keep reading your emails, but they'll keep stalling out until they're ready. So what you need to do is learn to add certain things. Maybe you tell about a powerful message that you just learned from a church service that you're going to use for a church service.

Maybe you tell about a powerful message that you just went to on Sunday. Or maybe you're writing an email for Monday and you're saying, hey, yesterday's church service, this is what I learned. And this is a powerful message. Now how many of you reading this feel this way or have felt that way and say, and I've got a solution and here's the solution? Stuff like that.

It just, look, it works. So what I'm telling you is that this is an income-producing activity. When you sit down and actually write out an email and send it to your list and the email has a call to action in it, that is an income-producing activity. Now one thing I learned from Tony Rush in the business was he said that when you're getting leads, when you're buying leads and getting traffic, that's not where you make money. In fact, he said that's where you spend money.

You spend money getting leads. Where you make money is effective communication. Okay? Where you make your money in this business is effective communication. And he is 100% right.

I've been part-time working an hour or two a day on marketing and I've been able to do that because of effective communication. Meaning that the Facebook chat model, that's effective communication. The Facebook method, that's effective communication. Okay? Blogging is where you're effectively communicating with people.

Email, that's where you're effectively communicating with people. New member coaching, that's effective communication. You see, all of that is effective communication. That's what I'm saying. If you're buying, if you're buying ads and stuff, yes, it would be counted as an income-producing activity.

The reason it would count is because you're generating leads. And lead generation is definitely an income-producing activity. But it's not the actual art of getting the lead on your list that's going to make you money. It's the art of your effective communication to that lead. Now, with Team Take Massive Action, we take a lot of that weight off your shoulders by providing you pre-written emails and swipe files and training for how to set it all up.

You, though, need to take it to the next step and start writing broadcast emails. And when you start reading emails from David Wood and David Sharp and everybody else, I want you to focus. Next time, I want you to focus and I want you to think. I'm going to read this as though I was going to send one out like this myself. I want you to start seeing yourself that way.

Instead of just reading things and taking them in as a consumer, I want you to read things and take them in as though you're going to be the teacher. As though you're going to teach somebody about this. As though you're going to do it yourself. Okay? So, when you see David Wood send out an email, next time, or David Sharp, next time, I want you to study it.

I want you to say, wow, you know what? This is what Chris Record was talking about. He's weaving in a story and then he's transitioning to a business concept and then he's got a strong call to action. Holy smokes. And then you go back through three or four emails, you'll start to notice a trend.

You'll start to see the trend for yourself and you'll start to say, I get it. At some moment, you're going to have a breakthrough and have an aha moment. And go, I get it. Now, let's try to practice this. Let's get out there.

Let's start writing emails and let's start practicing. Let's start just seeing how we can do. And you know what? Run your emails past each other. You know what you can do is you can grab a couple people in the Facebook group or something and say, hey, you know, I'll get on your list and you get on my list and when you send out emails, we'll reply to each other and, you know, give some feedback.

There you go. There's a great accountability, feedback, everything, all built in one. And that might be an action step right there. So again, sending out those emails is crucial. Effective communication is where you make your money.

And I make most of my money now off emails. Like people, pretty much anybody that joins now, joins after they've gotten enough emails. So they're finally getting emails for a while. They finally got enough emails and they finally joined. So it's just, it's a very, very powerful topic.

All right. The last topic here is going to be new member coaching. Okay, new member coaching. And the, the new member coaching is a lot of people get this confused. Okay, and I want to see if I can clarify some things here.

In this business, remember I told you Chris Record is not really a one-on-one type of a person. He's more of a one-to-many, one-to-the-masses. So new member coaching is the one area where I'll kind of cross the line. I got to be a little bit careful with it though and I want you to be careful with it. If you spend all your time helping individual people, what's going to happen is the time's going to be gone.

You're not going to make money. You're going to feel like a good person. At the end of the day, you're going to feel like a really good person because you spent a lot of quality time with individual people. And it's what they want. It's what they want.

But see, a friend tells you what you want to hear. A mentor tells you what you need to hear. So regardless of what somebody wants, if you're going to be their mentor, you've got to really tell them what they need to hear. And what they need to hear are things like this. You know, hey, if you've got questions, we've, we've put together a Facebook group and this Facebook group is where you're going to ask your questions.

So yes, I'm your upline mentor or whatever, but in terms of general questions, they're all going to be asking this group. So if you, if you ask me questions, a lot of times I might respond and say, hey, post it in the group. You know, that's an example. It's not what they want to hear. What they want to hear is this.

Hey, you know, I'm going to hold your hand in this business. Every single step of the way, I'm going to spend hours every single day doing everything possible to hold your hand and make you successful because I believe in you and I care and I care in you. That's what they want you to say. But that's not going to work because in the process, you'll become unsuccessful and then one day they'll turn on you and at some point you'll be debating something and they'll say, well, you're not even making any money. And then suddenly they'll forget all the hard work that you put into them.

That's just how humans, I believe, I've been down this long road, is that at the end of the day, the only thing that people are truly going to respect for you long term is that you're successful yourself. The number one thing that you can do to help your team is go out there and become successful with this business which means not spending all your time individually helping them. You've got to spend your time on income reducing activities. So new member coaching is not what you think it is. New member coaching is not me spending two hours with every new member walking them through every little detail of the business.

Hell no, I'm not going to do that and you're not going to do that either. It's just ridiculous. I mean, think about how ridiculous that is. How big could I possibly grow if I had to spend an hour or two with each of these people? Each new person on the phone when I first got started and then how many extra hours are they going to want of my time after that?

That's old school marketing. That's ancient marketing. It doesn't work. You cannot scale that up. It's not scalable.

You want to get a system that's more scalable. So here is where you're going to get more scalable. Your coaching sessions with people are going to be very, very limited and the intention is going to be just a couple things. Number one, your intention is going to be telling them that you're going to ask them that all the questions and everything is in the Facebook group. You're going to basically just be pointing them to where the training is and where they ask their questions.

So what you do right off the bat is you identify you are not the place to ask questions. You are not, your role in this business is not for them to ask you questions and you to answer them. I establish that right up front with people and some of you on the call know that. I do take time to answer questions every once in a while but for the most part if it's a general question, I'd say half of you on the call have probably asked me a general question and my answer has probably been, you know, hey, would you mind posting that in the Facebook group so everyone can benefit from that answer? I give that line about 10 times a day when people email me or Facebook message me.

I literally tell them, hey, go post in the group. Go post in the group. Okay, so that's my, with a new member coaching, that's my first thing. My first thing is I'm setting the foundation that I am not their personal coach. That is, that's what, see, that's what people believe.

When they first get in the business, that's what they think. And if they think that you're their personal coach, okay, and then what happens is that if they don't hear from you consistently, they're going to quit and they're going to blame it on you. Their favorite line people love to tell me all the time is, you know, oh, I tried that but I didn't get any support from my mentor. Okay, I hear that all the time. What does that even mean?

I don't even know what that means. It does, it just, I mean, sure, I can make a meaning out of it, but what does that really mean? Does that mean that person is blaming their failure on somebody else? I mean, really? I mean, it kind of seems childish to me, right?

So, you know, that's not how it works at all. There's no, your mentor, it's not their responsibility to make you successful, not at all. That's not how the business should work, okay, because your mentor's, that's proven that doesn't really work. Here's what works instead. The group, we do group mentorship.

So I explain the group concept to people right up front, you know, hey, and usually I'll do this in a welcome email, and sometimes if they have questions, I'll follow up and tell them the same thing. Hey, I want to let you know right up front, we have this awesome Facebook group with several hundred people. You can go in there and ask any question that you want, okay, and somebody in the community will get there and answer it. Sometimes I will, sometimes it'll be someone else, but we're going to all team up to answer questions, okay? Why is that good?

Because when you grow a big team, you don't want those people calling you every single hour of every day. You want them to go inside of this group to get the questions. You want them to get the questions answered. So collectively, we're a tribe. We collectively all help each other out.

So at first, you're going to have a lot of questions, but then after you get those questions answered, you're going to actually be more of a teacher. You're going to see new people asking the same questions, and you're going to be able to pay it forward and be able to point them in the right direction, okay? So the initial thing with new member coaching is to steer people in the right direction, and then the second part of it, and remember, it's very, very focused. The first part is getting people set the right direction, showing them where to go, and then the second part is upgrading them. Now, here is where most of you, statistically, most of you are going to have a problem with is selling, but I'll tell you, selling is where you make money, and a lot of you like a business like Empower Network because all the selling is done for you, and that's fine.

If you don't want to do any of the selling and telling, that's fine. Go out there, put a ton of people in the business, and let the system do its work because it will, but if you're on the call right now and you actually want to make more money, faster, then learn how to sell. Here's the easiest sales pitch in the world, and it's real too. I don't like taking advantage of people. That's another thing.

Sometimes people don't like sales because you think you have to take advantage of people. You have to convince people into doing something that they don't want to do. That's not it at all. I mean, you're pointing people in the right direction. You're actually helping people.

The more people you help, the more money you're going to make. Here's the easiest sales pitch in the world that each one of you should be doing. I do it every single day. It's one of the reasons I make good money. The easiest sales pitch in the world is when somebody has a question that you know the answer to, don't give them the answer.

That's the easiest sales pitch in the world. When somebody has a question and you know the answer to it, don't give them the answer. I know that's weird. I know you're probably sitting there even wondering what I'm talking about, but think about it. If you've got all the answers, why on earth would they purchase anything?

Why would they go purchase education if you've already got all the answers? When someone asks you a question, don't answer it. Learn to answer it with an upgrade. If somebody asks you a question, tell them where that answer is. Every single day people ask me questions and I'll be like, hey, you know what?

In the inner circle, on module number four, there's a full-blown hour-long talk where that exact thing is discussed. Plus, there's dozens of other modules in the inner circle. Plus, there's all the modules TMA does on top of that. I highly recommend, definitely, it's a good question, definitely get that answer and upgrade to the inner circle to get it. There you go.

Now, I could have just answered it myself, couldn't I? But that's what keeps a lot of people broke. What keeps a lot of people broke is that they get in this business, they get a few people going, and they all day. No, lead them to the system. Your goal is to lead them to the system.

You're a gatekeeper of the system. Somebody comes in and wants to ask you a question, you funnel them into the system. That's your goal. So when someone asks you a technical question, now, if it's a technical question that's not answered in the system, I mean, don't lie. You know what I mean?

Like, you know, if somebody asks you a technical question, like, you know, how do I get access to the team website? Well, that's not going to be answered in the inner circle. So you're going to tell them, hey, I would love to answer that for you, but here's what I'd love for you to do. If you wouldn't mind, would you ask that question in the group, in the Facebook group? Because there's so many people that probably have the same question.

I'd love to answer it there instead. So if you wouldn't mind answering it, and then just let me know when you're done, I'll go in there and answer it for you. And now you've got your brand new person actually using the system. Instead of using you as the system, they're using the system. So that's a basic question.

Basic questions like that, you leave them to the Facebook group. If they're product or training questions, I see so many of you answering these questions all the time. Look, it's all right to provide some information. Heck, does Team Take Massive Action not already provide plenty of information? I think we might provide the most information of any of the other teams out there.

We provide the most training, the most information, most details at just the $25 level of probably of any other team out there. So you don't really need to provide more information. What you should be doing is saying, if somebody asks a question, your answer should be, well, hey, have you heard the Chris Record Inner Circle Bonus Training? I think it was module number five, where he broke down his five highest income producing activities. So let's do this in real time right here.

This is one of those weird inception type moments where I'm training something live, but this is the actual same training that you're going to be sharing with somebody in the Facebook group or with your team, and then they're going to come and then they're going to hear this and they're going to hear that I told you to do this. And it's going to be totally cool. You're going to get to this point and go, aha, that's exactly what just happened. So here it is. I just taught you my five highest income producing activities.

You have two choices. When you get new people started, you can either teach them this yourself or you can lead them to this inner circle training bonus module and you can say, hey, if you upgrade to the inner circle, you're going to get access to these bonus modules. And in the fifth one or whatever one this is, Chris Brecker breaks down his five income producing activities strategies that you have to listen, take notes, it would be pointless for me to re-explain that to you. Get that product, listen to that training, make me for it later. Boom.

Now you're closing. Now you're selling and you're doing the right thing. It's the right thing for them too. You should not try to regurgitate this to everybody. Because now they're going to stay at the $25 level and it's not really going to work for them.

And you know what, you're not going to get paid. And how long are you going to stay in this business if you don't get paid? So you know what, the information is here, you're listening to it live today, but it's going to be archived and available for Inner Circle members. So do you get it? Do you get how that process works?

This training here is the answer to hundreds of questions that you're going to get. Don't answer those questions. When people ask you questions, don't answer them. Lead them to this where they get the answer. And learn how to sell the education.

When you're listening to the Inner Circle, learn to answer that, answer questions with the Inner Circle with what's where they need to go. So if somebody's asking paid advertising strategies, you should have in your mind exactly what training out of the Inner Circle, Costa, 15K, everything. You should have in your mind, you should quickly go over the modules and you should know which ones have paid advertising in them. And you should be able to tell on the surface, be like, oh, okay, great, you're a paid advertising person, awesome, you're going to probably explode this thing so much faster than people because you've got money, you can do some paid on that. I'm going to give you a few different options.

The Inner Circle, the Inner Circle product, it's got, you know, there's one module here, another module there, here's what they teach on, boom, that's powerful, that's starting information, you should at least start there. But if you really want to go big, let me tell you about the Costa Rica 15K. And in the 15K you can learn this, this, this, this, this, okay? And that's how you do it. You become this middle man and middle woman in between the person and the information, okay?

Instead of you becoming the information, you become sort of this more of a invitation to the destination. That's what you become. You become an invitation to the destination. That's all you're doing. You're just inviting them to go to the source and get it themselves.

But that's it. That's it. That's how you make money. A lot of people, some of you on the phone are just thinking, ah, Chris is rambling. But some of you are having a huge time.

Some of you, you probably have a very small team and yet you're answering so many questions for your team all the time. And if you're wondering why you haven't made much money, I'll tell you, that's exactly why. If instead, you would have been leading them to the Facebook group and making them ask their questions there and leading them to the products and get the answers there and then you focus on the income producing activities, you'd be making more money with less effort. Right? Did that make sense?

I mean, basic questions, you should be leading them to the Facebook group. That's where they're going to ask those. If they've got questions about what they want to learn and training and stuff like that, you're going to lead them to the products, to the training, to the paid training. And you, what do you do with your time now that's freed up? You focus on income producing activities.

I just repeated that twice to make sure you guys will get it. Okay? That's the name of the game. That's how the game works. Now, new member coaching can be done a variety of ways.

You can do new member coaching by email. You can do new member coaching by Facebook chat. So, for instance, some of you, when you sign up a new member, one of the best things you should do is become a Facebook friend with them, okay? And then you can have a chat with them. And here's the thing, by setting it up, trust me, by setting it up right off the bat, you're going to save yourself so many hours, hours and hours and hours with this person always wanting to ask you questions all the time, okay?

Set it up right up front and make it clear, okay? Hey, I want to clarify a few things here. You know, the Facebook group is where you ask your questions, okay? And this is how the teams run, you know, is that when you ask questions, you go to the Facebook group and ask it and answer it there. And if you're asking, tell them, hey, look, if you're asking questions and you're not getting them answered, let me know and I'll go in there and I'll do my best to answer them.

But I want to make sure we don't do a whole lot of, tell them, we should not be doing a whole lot of conversation one-on-one because that's just not effective. We can't scale up. You and I, we should be doing a lot of our communication in the group. And if you have questions about training and you have questions about this and that, I'll help point you in the right direction of which training modules have it. That's how I can be of assistance.

I've gone through a lot of the training myself and I can help you and I can show you where to get this stuff. Okay, now, the last, okay, I told you, last thing here is I'm going to give you, this is going to be a whole training of itself on a future call or maybe even a webinar. So I'm not really going to dive into depth on it, but I'm going to share with you, you know, maybe the five-minute or ten-minute version. So this part is going to be pretty exciting. Okay, so for those of you that have stayed on, so let me check the stats real quick.

I'm curious to see, I'm always curious to see what people are doing. How many of you are still with me here? Let's see. Let's look. Oh, wow.

Hey, hey, hey. All right, well, thank you everyone for being on. We got a ton of people on, actually way more than I looked last time. So we've grown. So first of all, as I pause here, I want to say thank you.

I talk 100 miles per hour. It's like a fire hydrant being open, your iPod while you're working at the gym. Some of you are probably thinking you're going to get back in the gym now after this call based on what I said. But you can always listen to it again. Don't worry.

I'm getting a lot to you. Okay, this part is going to be exciting. Trust me, this is, we don't want to talk about making money right now. I had some experience prior to this, so that helped me. But there's a few things that I've shared with you today that have probably given you some hints as to why I've been making money.

Well, here's the big one. Here's the big one. I've had a ton of people go all in. A ton of people. I'm going to write my numbers.

I'm actually going to write a blog post. I have it like halfway written. I just walked away from it earlier. I wanted to have it written before this call. But I'm going to write a blog post maybe tomorrow, something like that.

And I'm going to share my stats. Right off the top of my head, I don't know if I know them, know them perfect, but I've got like 200, I think exactly 200 personally enrolled people at the $25 level that's personal in the last six months, so 200. I know some of you are thinking, man, I just want to get two. Or some of you are thinking, I'd love to get 20. How do you get 200?

Well, do what I'm telling you to do for long enough. That's the thing. The only difference between me and you is that for six months, I've been doing those five things almost daily. There's really not a lot of secrets there. And maybe I'm a little bit better because I come from background, but I don't really think that plays much.

Let's give me a 10% advantage on everybody or say something like that. But I mean, really, you can take someone from scratch and just do those activities for six months straight, and sure. That's what I'm saying. Just play And I feel like I've fallen maybe halfway short of what I even could have been since I'm learning so much as I go. And it's crazy to think that's possible working this part-time and not even full-time.

It's just insane. But it's called leverage. So there's one big thing that I haven't shared with everybody. And this is sort of if there was a silver bullet even though I don't really believe in silver bullets but if there was a silver bullet this would be it. It's something called T-Close.

T-Close. Okay so what happens is when I have a new member coaching session with somebody and sometimes I'll even do this with people before if I'm talking with somebody maybe warm market somebody in my existing network I'm not even sharing this kind of stuff up front before they even join. The most common example of a T-Close I could give you would be a pros and cons list. You know you write a T. You draw a T on a board and in the top left bracket you write pros and on the top right bracket you write cons and then underneath those there would be a list on each side.

Okay that's a T. When I talk about the diagram that should come into your mind it should be like a pros and cons list. So you draw a T you write pros and cons. Instead of that though you draw a T and on the top left you write by and on the top right you write don't buy. The word B-U-Y.

Buy versus don't buy. And this is a T close. Now the idea is very simple. All I'm really doing is I'm explaining the compensation plan to somebody new. That's on the simple level.

Somebody brand new I'm explaining the compensation level. But I mean it's on the compensation plan. But it's a little bit more complex than that but it is really actually simple. So really let's just make sure we're super simple. New member coaching session.

I set up the ground work for where questions are going to be answered and then I explain the compensation plan to them. And sometimes I'll do this by sending them links to other compensation plans. Sometimes I'll answer some questions in Facebook chat. Sometimes I'll even get on the phone and do it. But either way I want them to understand the compensation plan.

Buy versus don't buy. What I'm going to do is one of the biggest things I want to explain is how much money will be lost if they run with this thing and start getting leads and start getting business and everything. How much money will be lost by not owning products. Like I said I'm not going to go into depth in this because the T-Close is going to be a whole topic of itself but I want to give you a sneak peek of it. The sneak peek of the T-Close is simply I'll give you an example.

Let's say you start at the $25 level and that's the only product you own. You sign somebody up at the $25 level. You're like yee-haw. I made my first sale and made back my money. Next thing you know right after they buy they're going to see a video and it's going to be a video of David Wood talking about the inner circle.

Next thing you know they go oh man I've got to buy this. They buy it. Now you go from a moment of excitement from getting your first sale to a moment of feeling in your gut because you're going to get an email that says you just lost a commission. It's going to say so and so signed up for this inner circle product. Because you were not qualified you just lost this commission.

That's going to feel like crap. There's people on this phone that I can promise you have received emails like that. By the way for those of you on the phone that have received emails that you've lost commissions feel free to share those with the group. Share with people in the group. Go to the Facebook group and say hey guys I just want to let you know it's real.

I'm one of those people that lost the commission and I vowed that I would never do it again. So I got the product to make sure that I would not lose the commission again. I can tell you for honestly I can tell you several people in this group have lost commissions. So the first story that I'm going to tell someone and again I'm trying not to share too much of this because it deserves to be its own call. But one of the first stories I'll tell people is this.

I'll say look as you grow a big group this is going to happen a lot. There's going to be people who are not qualified and they're going to refer somebody who ends up buying the product. When they buy the product they and it's going to pass that person up. That person is not going to be qualified to earn a commission on it. So who does earn the commission?

Well it's going to keep going up until it finds somebody who's qualified on that product. So if you sign up somebody for $25 they sign up somebody for $25 and then their person buys the $100 product that's going to roll all the way up to you if you own the $100 product. You see when you own a product you become the catch-all umbrella for that product. And as your team grows this is crucial. And it's even crucial even with your first sale.

I'll explain that in a minute but it's crucial because you want to be in a catch-all position. You want to maximize this compensation plan. As people do things you want to be the person that's going to catch it if it's missed. Otherwise it's going to roll all the way up. So by owning the product you become the catch-all position.

It's going to hit you. It's going to pay you. And next thing you know you're going to have the $100 product coming, the $500 product coming, the $1000 product coming, and the $3500 product coming. Those are going to be rolling up somewhere and if you own those products you're qualified at it you're going to be the catch all umbrella. If you own all the products if you're all in you're in a catch all position.

So if you're going to do any advertising campaigns if you're going to do any blogging campaigns if you're going to do any Facebook method stuff if you're going to do any paid advertising or solo ads or CPC ads if you're going to do any of that you don't know what's going to happen but the thing you've got to do is be prepared is going to reimburse all your products for you because you get paid 100% commission on the first one. So the first thing you want to do is go all in so that when that happens it rolls up to you because believe me it's happened a bunch for me.
