Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.

I'm excited to bring you another Inner Circle call. And the gentleman that I've got on the line, actually a lot of people know him, and here's the interesting thing, is a lot of people would put this guy off if they had a list of people they were going to talk to, a list of producers that they were going to talk to, because they say, ah, he's not interested, he already makes enough money, right? And it's fascinating that these guys, these leaders, that kind of have that persona, they keep coming in to Empower Network and getting more excited than they've ever been in their life.
And so the gentleman I'm about to introduce, his name's Mark Call. A lot of you guys know him. He's actually the number one earner in another company. He's built teams in the multiple tens of thousands, has distributors in his teams literally in countries all over the world. He could tell you more about it than I do.
And I've been fascinated. I've been fascinated because, you know, I saw him come on board. He kind of came in mid-last month in the middle of our first affiliate competition and just came, like, with a stampede, started earning lots of commissions and just kind of throwing people in Empower. And so his sponsor actually said, hey, you've got to talk to this Mark Call guy. I was like, Mark Call, he's in Empower.
And I said, oh, yeah, you know, I know who that guy is. And so I gave him a call, started talking the other day, and I think he's really going to bring you a lot of value. This is going to be from a perspective, guys. So, you know, pull out a pen, take notes, listen to this call three or four times. We're going to go over how to get from, you know, where you are to where you want to be and some of the real insights that have helped him break through.
So, Mark, let's start with just maybe a little bit of your background, maybe a little bit about your story, how you got involved in the industry, you know, kind of maybe some of the ups and downs that you've been through, what led you to Empower, why you got in, and why you're so excited about this. And then we'll get into some marketing. So is that a good place to start? Absolutely, brother. The first thing I want to do is thank you, David.
And thank the other David, too. You know, being in this for just a few weeks, I see the dedication of both of you. And also, you know, my sponsors, Chris and Chris, they're just fabulous guys. These guys are committed to the success of a team as a whole. And after getting involved in Empower, I really realized the culture that Empower Network's creating, and that is what's so attractive to me.
But, you know, I've been in the industry for well over, well, longer than I want to admit, well over 25, 30 years now. I'm really aging myself. Started out with the Amway Company, which everybody knows, and I love the Amway Company. They're training some of the best in the world. And built a business up with that when I was 18, 19 years old.
And one of the first stories I can remember is going living room to living room back then, doing home meetings. And the first time I recruited somebody, I remember calling my sponsor. Cell phones just came out back then. So I'm calling. I called my sponsor on the way home and, you know, I said, Keith, Keith, I registered somebody.
I'm excited. I'm excited. He's like, why are you excited? I'm like, I'm going to make money. Click.
The phone hangs up. And, David, I couldn't figure out, did I lose service? What was going on? You know, I'd only had a cell phone here, big brick phone. So I called him back.
Keith, I signed up somebody. Why are you excited? I said, I'm going to make money. Click. So I decided to wait until I got back home before I called him.
This is my first real valuable lesson in this industry. Called him up. I said, Keith, you hanging up? He's like, well, Mark, you keep giving me the wrong answer. And I'm like, what are you talking about, Keith?
He said, you know, you're telling me you're excited because you signed somebody up because you're going to make money. You really need to change your attitude. You need to be excited and truly mean it that you signed somebody up and they're going to make money. And that's what you need to do. You need to be excited for the people that you brought into the business.
And, you know, something that philosophy comes true with Empower Network. I really realized that. And, you know, I'm excited. You know, I watched you guys when you first launched from the sidelines, you know, sitting up watching the parade go by. I saw the challenges you went through.
And then, you know, a few weeks back, it just hit me at the right time, the right place, the right opportunity. And when I dove into it, you know what I said. I mean, when I talked, it was like, holy crap. And as I dug further into it, because I went all in. There's no question about it.
I mean, it's foolish. Anybody that's listening right now, you definitely need to be all in. And what do we mean by all in? That means every product that Empower has, you need to own. Now, if you're cool with passing profits up to somebody else, fine.
You know, that's what I tell people. If you're cool with that, fine. I'll take the money. But that's not what we really want. We want you guys to grow.
But it's the training and simplicity that you guys brought in the system. And that's what really attracted me. And I so wish I was like the Tracy Walkers. It's phenomenal. I remember, you know, Tracy was around when I helped launch a company to over 100,000 not too many years ago.
And Tracy was just starting out then. And to see her now as the powerhouse in this company is just absolutely phenomenal. And how much she has grown as a leader because of your guidance. And I just can't say enough good. I'm actually blown away and speechless that I sat and let this parade go by.
For so long before signing up, David. Well, you know, that's a valuable insight there, Mark. Because there's still a lot of people in Empower Network that are still doing that and they're in. And we got a lot of people, man. Big movers, shakers.
They're kind of sitting there watching. They're hanging out and they're saying, you know, where's this going to go? And it's the people that really lock arms with us and latch on and really run. I mean run. They sprint, you know, for the next, you know, 90 days that they're going to own the company.
And that's why it's exciting to have you on. Because I know what you can do. And that's great. I didn't know the connection there with Tracy Walker, too. She's an incredible leader.
Actually, that goes both ways. I learn a lot from her, too. And I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you. Because I always approach this from a perspective of a student. So let's talk about, you know, obviously you've been in the niche for a long time.
Online, offline. I got started in Amway, too. We love Amway here. I mean I almost, I actually buy, you'll find this is funny. I'm still buying Amway products, actually, now from my maid.
She came over with a catalog. And I was like, oh, you're in Amway. And I just bought everything in the catalog, you know, to help her out. And, you know, great product. So great company.
So what, that's a great energy, by the way, that it's always from the perspective of, you know, the energy of the success is directed at the team. And that's why I believe one of the reasons why Empower Network grows like it does is because of the fact that our entire intention and energy here is how can we help our people. How can we help our people make as much money as we humanly can. But let's talk a little bit about marketing. And, you know, what created your initial breakthroughs?
They never had a problem. And, you know, never had an issue and knew how to do it instantly and never struggled at all. You know, I mean there's always, every story I've ever heard, you know, somebody gets in the niche, they think that's going to happen. Yeah. Yeah.
They get in and they fall on their face and then they struggle for a while and then they figure something out and then they figure something else out and then they start just rampaging, breaking through. So where did that start for you and how did you kind of get over that initial hump and what was it that created your first breakthrough in the niche? Well, my first breakthrough was, you know, like I said, my training came from Amway. They have a freaking phenomenal training system. And not to compare, but honestly, I think this is, Empower Network is that next level of generic network marketing or internet marketing training and bringing the two worlds together.
But my breakthrough was really realizing that you are who you associate with. We've all heard this. People on my webinars, I usually do at least two to three webinars a week training for free. People on my webinars hear me say every single webinar, you are who you are associate with. You know, you take the income of the five people you most commonly associate with, add their income up, divide it by five, and that's what you make.
Now, it not only goes true for their income. It goes true for their income. I don't care where you're at in life. It's also true for your work ethic, for your moral character, for even your religious and political beliefs. You are the aggregate of the most of the people that you associate with.
So how do you change where you're at right now? Well, you get rid of those that are not helping you in life and you bring a new association. And no, I don't want to piss people off because that doesn't mean you drop your best buddy who's down on his luck. You still have those people in your life because you have to. But you can bring new association into your life just by being part of Dave and Dave's Facebook group.
What are you doing? You're associating with people that are successful. They're not going to steer you the wrong way. What benefit would they have of doing that? And I think that was my biggest breakthrough in the industry was truly listening to the people that have been there before me, taking their advice, following through with it.
And you guys have streamlined that. That's what's amazing to me, David. Well, no, and that's a great perspective. And too many people, they take the opposite approach where they come in, they get in. They do got maybe a good work ethic at least for a little while.
But I don't know if you ever get this. Actually, I do know. But we'll just say it real quick and we'll hear the laughter come. But somebody gets in. They're a hot shot in their own little world.
Maybe they're a successful doctor or they were a pro footballer. Or maybe they're a ball player or maybe they're a karate expert, whatever it is. And they come in here thinking that automatically means they're successful. They come up and they say, what should I do? And you tell them.
And then they sit there and they ramble for like 20 minutes about what they're going to do. And then you say, OK. You kind of hang up chuckling and then they go fall on their face trying it their way for six months. Absolutely. And then they go buy a TV ad.
They're going to advertise it like Walmart advertises. They're going to get a little brand. Or they buy up a bunch of radio space and they know nothing about radio. And it's fascinating. So you take the advice of people around you and you actually listen.
Wish I would have met you years ago. Yeah. And it's you know what? That's the thing. In its purest simplicity, that's all you need to do.
Here's the big question, folks, is what reason would Dave and Dave, what reason would Chris, what reason would Tracy Walker, what reason would any of the leaders inside of that Facebook group have to steer you the wrong way? There is no reason at all. The only reason is to see you become successful. And sometimes that's a bigger reward than the money for some of these leaders that are helping you out that don't even have a financial connection to you. So take that to heart.
I can tell the culture that's been created within Empower Network and the leaders and the inner circle that you've created. It's incredible. By the way, if you're not part of the inner circle, it's a no-brainer. I mean, just upgrade right now. I'm serious.
And I don't say that because I can afford, if I couldn't afford it, I would figure a way to afford it and just do it and make it pay for itself. It's just foolish not to be all in. And the training that you're going to get from that inner circle is worth thousands a month, believe me. You're going to get recordings just like this. And the great thing I like about this, David, is I'm starting from scratch just like you are.
Or just like you did in this new opportunity. And, you know, I'm not doing it on my own credibility. I'm out there actually doing it. I'm using Facebook. I know we're going to talk about marketing a little.
But I'm actually people are calling me. And the other day it was crazy. I sent an email out with my phone number. And I didn't get a chance to get back to everybody. But I'm meeting people that don't know who I am in the space, which I actually like.
And I'm actually being able to help them from scratch. Which makes a huge difference to me. Because, like I said, it's all about taking the focus off yourself and putting it on these people. I've got a great team that's growing. Now we're going to start to do a lot of duplication.
I'm plugging people into the system. I spoke with one lady tonight, Joni. She has a huge network marketing team. And a lot of them are technologically scared. And we were talking on the phone.
And I went over the Complete Empower Network system with them. And her and her partner. And they talked. They're coming on tonight, by the way. Which is awesome.
And the thing is, is we realized this isn't a competition to an existing network marketing company. And that's what I like. I've actually taken a little bit of heat and gotten emails and said, Mark, I thought you were part of this. Why are you promoting this? Well, because you want to know why?
It's a simple, easy to follow system that will generate leads. Plus, give any team in any industry the training that's truly needed. And I love to tell people, you guys are kind of in your face. Because you tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. It's not sugar-coated.
And that's what reality is. Yeah, sorry. But you can tell it's a true home business. You're not faking it either, huh? So, interesting.
No. No, that's great. And, you know, there's a difference. And this is worth noting, Mark, that there's a difference between two kinds of information. And most people in the industry, they really give people just the, this is the easy way.
You know, here's the easy way. Just wander around, talk to two people a day, or, you know, whatever it is. And it's not that stuff doesn't work. It does work. It's that sometimes we present an unfair perspective of struggle.
Where, you know, people think that they're going to be rich without knowing anything. And that's never true. Here within Empower, the advantage is, of course, they can know nothing but one thing. And that's how to get eyeballs, you know, on the pages. And that's just traffic.
It's one skill rather than 800 skills like you normally have to learn. And you know that. Like, I know it. You know, I mean, what did you learn, you know, in Amway? I mean, you drive around listening to the audios.
I imagine you were listening to audios every night like I was listening to audios. It's where I got the idea for this daily audio thing in the inner circle was from Amway because that changed my life. It transformed me. The training wasn't very good by a long shot. A lot of it because it was, you know, how to wander around and hit people.
But the concepts outside of that were the personal growth, the personal development, how to sell, how to communicate. I learned how to communicate more from those old Amway audios than I've ever learned from any Internet guru. So, you know, that's a great perspective. And telling somebody what they need to hear is, look, don't be a wussy. Get all in.
Make a decision and do it and do whatever it takes. And sometimes people, they hear things like that and, you know, they get taken off, you know, back a little bit. But it's because we love. That we say things like that, because in loving somebody, you've got to be willing to be tough on them, because if you're tough on them, they can get to a new level. Absolutely.
And you know what? That's a key factor in this is if the person that brought you into empower is being tough on you, consider that them caring for you. And it's like I said, this culture that you've created, it's a brand new culture. And I love how you put it, because in perspective for me. I look at Empower Network as a personal development company that teaches you marketing for anything in life.
I mean, come on, who else is doing that, dude? Nobody. I mean, seriously, think about it in the training is just in your face. This is what you do. Step one, two, three, copy and paste.
And I'm telling you, anybody can do it. The scale I was talking to tonight that has a huge team that's not technologically advanced. We're talking about. This is a perfect system to plug their existing team into for the training. Number one, start blogging.
I was explaining how the Empower blogs work, which are phenomenal, by the way, and then just plug in the people and getting them to the calls and sharing with them how this system works and if you keep it to its simplicity, that's the problem. We all try to overcomplicate things, myself included, sometimes being around the industry, you think you can do things better this time around. You know what I said, David, I said, I'm going to just follow the system and see what happens and you can see what my results are. They aren't because I have a huge list, guys, it would shock you to realize how small my list is compared to some of these other leaders. You know, I don't say that to discredit myself, but the difference being is I truly care about people's success.
And I've always told people, excuse the French here, but don't promote shit for the sake of promoting shit. If you're going to promote something, you have to use it. Own it and can prove that it works. With Empower Network, I can do that. So I don't have any problem at all now on my Facebook wall posting, hey, my buddy Dave's doing a call tonight.
You know what? You've got to be on this frickin call and listen to what these guys have to say. Well, and I want to talk about that from a couple of different perspectives here, Mark, because there's several things that are important to understand about Empower Network and also to understand just about systems and building a team. Because we always keep these trainings generic. So if you're in Empower Network just building Empower, you're going to value from these.
And obviously, if you're doing something else and you're just here to learn and you just own these products to plug into our systems and our training and to learn and share this information with your team, you're welcome to do that, too. And so number one thing that I want to point out is the biggest leaders out there understand the value in a system. And the smallest people out there with no teams. Always are fighting the system and the value of a system. And it took me a long time to get because I want to teach this, from a, maybe we shouldn't even put this in the inner circle.
I talk about this in a lot greater detail in the Costa Rica Mastermind Intensive Retreat where people paid three thousand dollars to come out to my house. I really, really, really hammered on this is that what a system does is it takes something that is manual labor that ordinarily you would have to do as a leader. And it puts it into a process that it automatically happens without you being involved. So, for example, rather than having to do webinars all the time, all the time, all the time, we do webinars, too.
But we have an automated webinar that actually, it's not done yet because we have to reprogram that. I was telling you about that because software is a little unsafe for site as bazaars. But you have an automated webinar and now everybody gets plugged into the automated webinar that upsells them on buying all the products rather than the leaders having to do eight million webinars all the time. We're actually going to get, this is, you know, I shouldn't let.
This cat out of the bag, but we're coordinating this right now to where every new member is going to be called and booked into an upsell webinar right to where you get a member in the call. They get booked into an upsell webinar. That webinar then sells them the rest of the products. And we just take the most successful webinars we do. We put them into the system and the system does the selling.
But beyond that, you got the inner circle. And this is something that I learned actually from a guy. He's not in Empower, but maybe you can get him in. I know you know him, too. I think he actually recruited you once, Tom Challen.
You know, Tom, by the way, Tom's one of the best in the industry. I love the guy. He's just one of the true leaders, my friend. Well, I don't know if he ever, did he ever recruit you. I think he told me a long time ago he mentioned your name.
He did. Tom did. And Tom and I are still friends. And he's one of the best. He's one of the best.
And I'll tell you, we got to both get him on the phone for Empower. Well, that's what we'll do. I've got him. I've got him on speed dial. We'll call him up.
Yeah, he's on my Skype. I talk to him all the time. I, you know, I'd even help you get him. But now we'll have a, you know, 8000 people go after him in the inner circle here. But, you know, the thing is, Tom taught me this a long time ago, is he said, you know, you have a system that delivers the training.
And he said, so if anybody would manage to actually get me on the phone and they ask me a question, they say, Tom, how do I close? What he would do is he said, well, click on the inner circle tab, scroll down. There's an audio called Closing Like Clockwork with David Sharp.
Want you to listen to that audio every day for the next 30 days. Call me at the end of the month. And then the system not only does a better job of explaining it, but you just saved yourself 30 hours of closing conversations and the person closes better. And then you make more money. Because what I do, Mark, is they say, Dave, how do I close?
I say, I want you to click on the inner circle. You own that product, right? And if they tell me no, here's what I'll tell them. Because I'll get on the phone with them. I mean, I do pick up the phone to customers here.
If they manage to track down my number somehow, I'll talk to them. I shouldn't say that. But I do. You know, not always, but I do my best to communicate, especially with leaders. And if they say, I'm not in the inner circle.
And I'll say, I'm going to tell you what I'm, this is exactly what I say. I say, look, here's the deal. I'm real busy. And I will not help you in your business if you're not in the inner circle. If you don't get in there and listen to audios, how can I train you with the 60 hours of information personally that we have in the inner circle?
How can I train you with the daily updates that we have in the inner circle? I don't have time. Do you realize that? And they say, oh, yeah. And I say, so I want you to get in the inner circle.
Great question. And I want you to download that audio by Dave Sharp. Okay. And when you're done, I want you to listen to that once a day for 30 days. And when you're done with that audio, I want you to download an audio I did with Dwayne Pyle, where he actually role plays with me on how he closes 85% of your prospects.
Do you want to know how to close 85%? And I say, yeah. I say, well, then click on the inner circle. And can you listen to those two audios over the next two months? Give me a call back in two months.
I want you to tell me the difference in your recruiting. Does that work? And what did I just do, Mark? I just saved myself two months of coaching with somebody I don't need to be coaching. The audios need to coach.
So I love that idea. I just wanted to kind of delve into it. What are some things that you found valuable? Because I don't want to be stealing your thunder here in using systems to grow teams faster, because obviously I know you have a team that's, you know, one of your teams is over 20,000 people. How did you do that?
What did you, what processes did you use to automate what you're doing to be able to duplicate your team and grow a big team like that? Well, here's the funny thing, is I've done it different than most leaders. I didn't go out and pay for search engine traffic, pay per click. I call off that, you are who you associate with, when I got started in the industry. I got the attention of other leaders by producing, by producing those other leaders, sort of like you picked the phone up and called me, and by being associated with those leaders that drew a natural attraction to me throughout the field and throughout the industry.
So I've been very blessed that I have very organic followings and organic traffic for whatever I've done. I've also never, ever, ever steered anybody that's on my list on my Facebook anywhere. Like I said, I haven't sold shit for the sake of selling shit. I've never steered them wrong. I'm a very much a stats guy.
I share my, we both know Dagan Smith, Dagan Smith's one of my personal mentors, one of my personal friends, one of the best in the industry when it comes to training, you know, I've had one-on-one sessions with Dagan. He's had me speaking at his events and, you know, Tracy Walker the same way. The guy taught me that you got to keep it in the numbers. And I went over this with a lady today, one of our newer members on the team, she's going to be trying some lead co-ops and she was shooting a little bit high, but I broke the numbers down to her. And I backed it off and said, well, let's shoot for closing one of those to break even on month one.
And then look at the lifetime value of that customer. Yeah. Which you'll be in profit on month two. So you know, let's not shoot for pie in the sky because we don't know what these leads are. If you get 20%, if you get 40%, let's jump up and down and share this lead source with the team, but let's test it first and be real.
And that's what I like about you guys. You're doing the same thing, sort of like what Dagan taught me and you're bringing it out to the masses. Okay. We tried this. It didn't work.
You're honest about it. We tried this. We tried that. We did it. We did it in this course.
We helped everybody. We just gotta run out and do it. But as far as marketing goes, I'll tell you the one thing I like about Empower is the daily assignments. Okay. I've got my own little inner circle group.
I've had for two years. Some people paid me a lot of money to be in it. I'm actually taking the things that you've taught me and bringing them into my own inner circle group. The people that have paid me look at how that's helping me also. So as far as marketing is concerned.
The one thing you guys can do, if you just signed up, if you're on my team, if you're on Dave's team, if you're on Chris's team, if you're on Tracy Walker's team, here's the thing. First of all, you want to get their attention. You're all in. That means that you're in the inner circle, Costa Rica, the 15K formula. And let me tell you, I'm a testament, I'm not, I wouldn't steer you guys wrong. That 15K formula, I was talking to a lady today, she was asking me about how to get some traffic and I said, well, just go watch, you don't have much money, go watch the first three videos in the 15K formula, similar to what you were talking about earlier, and I meant that because the first three videos are worth twenty thousand dollars easily, and then you get into the fourth video, if you have a little bit of money, that shows you how to use paid traffic. My goodness, you guys are giving people something at, you know, 1% of the value of what it really is, and you're cutting the learning curve, flying over learning from the internet, running through the internet, gives you a free offer, but also you're making it easier on people that have existing teams to pipe them into training. Now, I know I got way off task on that because we're supposed to be talking about specifics on marketing, but I can tell you right now, guys, Facebook is one of my biggest, biggest advertising sources. I don't pay for Facebook ads. I know there's a lot of the leaders that do, that can teach you how to do it. I've never put a Facebook ad out there.
You know what I've done? I've gone out and interacted with people and created a following. How do you interact with people? You're truly interested in what they do. You know what that's going to do?
That's going to open the door. They know you're a caring person. And when you post something on your wall, like the call tonight, and then your link, I can't wait to get back and check my email and see how many signups I got with the call tonight because I posted it on my wall. That's all I did. You're not sticking it in their face.
You're not forcing it down their throat. These are people you've built relationships with, and Facebook is the number one way. And, you know, I had a lady today say, I tell her the same thing. Use Facebook.
Well, I don't have that many friends. Well, go out and get friends. It's easy to go out and join groups. Make sure you're sincere about it though, because they're going to see right through you. Here's the thing.
You got to get it deep down inside that if you're going to join a group, if you're going to friend somebody, you've got to truly be interested in helping that person. If you're truly interested in helping that person, on Facebook, doesn't matter. There goes my dogs again. If you're truly interested in that person, you're going to succeed because that's going to show through even on the internet. The internet, people go to the internet and they like to buy things because they don't have to have contact.
But I got to tell you, the internet is one of the most personal relationship building avenues out there. And people just don't realize it. People can sense, they can feel, they can even touch through that screen and sense. If you're following me on Facebook, you're going to see that person. If you're following me on Twitter, you're going to see that person.
If you're following me on Instagram, you're going to see that person. So what? You know what you do? You tap them into people like Dave and Dave and Chris and Chris and Tracy and all the leaders that are in Empower Network and say, you know what?
I can get you associated with these guys. And then you draw the attention by producing. You're all in. What does that do? That gets that leader to call you up.
That gets that leader to take you by the hand to that next level. But you got to be all in and you got to show that you're willing to commit. And that's not just for a day. It's not for a week. That's committing to them.
Actually signing that contract to a commitment to yourself. Like Dave said tonight, Dave Sharp. I mean, almost had me in tears when he was talking about committing to yourself. It's easy to commit to me. It's easy to commit to Dave and Dave.
Here's my question. Are you going to commit to yourself to going in, looking at the daily lessons? So what? Here's what I tell my team. What if it took you a day to commit to yourself?
What if it took you 30 days to learn how to start blogging? What if it took you another 30 days to learn how to start generating traffic? What if it took you 30 days to learn how to start capturing those leads in your autoresponder account to start following up with them? So you're 90 days out.
You're 90 days out with skills that you're never going to lose the rest of your life. So what? It's 90 days. It's a no-brainer. And I'm rambling, Dave.
I'm sorry. I'm getting excited, buddy. No, hey, I can see you're getting excited. And a couple of things just worth bringing up here, and this is good psychology. Now, some people, Mark, they're going to listen to this and be like, oh, God, just stop selling on the audio.
Teach me what to do. I know there's some people thinking that. They're like, oh, you're just talking about buying all the products on the audio. Tell me what to do. But, dude, the products do tell you what to do.
That's exactly right. And we're teaching them what to do because this is how they should be teaching their teams. Most people make the mistake, like I said earlier, of trying to teach their teams everything, where what a leader always does is he references third-party tools, third-party trainings, third-party products, third-party webinars, third-party videos to teach their team the things that they need to do. That's how they keep themselves free to produce and market. And it's worth noticing that no leader is going to pay attention to a team member that's not willing to go all out, right? It's not willing to get all in.
They're just not going to give them personal attention because if I have 1,000 people to give attention to and 100 of them are all in and 900 of them are not all in, who deserves the attention? You know what I'm saying? Who deserves it? Absolutely. If I have two people to get in the inner circle as an interview and to do coaching with, one of the people is all in and working and one of the people is not all in and working, who am I going to pay attention to?
It's not even a question, so it is training the team. And Mark, you've been around the block. You've seen a lot of things. You know a lot of leaders here in the network marketing niche. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if you built it.
We're talking about putting in 100,000 people by the end of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if you built a team of 100,000 people this year. Let's talk about the value of events. You know, we got this event coming up here in Atlanta, and we just got off this Monday call. You know, obviously, if you're listening to this in a year, then the next event is the one you need to be at, the one that we're announcing at the moment that you're in.
But right now, you know, the date is, you know, it's, what is it, April 9th, right? 2012. We're right about to do our kickoff event coming up on May 8th through 10th. It's going to be in Atlanta, Georgia. You were just in Costa Rica on a cruise event with some other network, you know, some other internet marketing leaders.
Talk to us about why not only do they need to be there, but they need to get their team there, and what's happened to you and what you've seen happen at events like we're going to do in Atlanta. What are your thoughts? Events are absolutely the most paramount thing that you can do for yourself, number one. But number two, plugging your team into an event. And the reason is it's momentum.
It's energy. It's the culture that the Empower Network's creating. Now, I've been at events, I've spoke at events with a thousand people at it in Las Vegas. Let me tell you something. When you come out of this event, not so much even yourself, when you come out of this event, you need to be there for your team.
When you come out of an event like Empower Network's going to put on, and it's not a selling event like the typical network event, you need to be there for your team. And Dave, I'm with you. Those are great. I go to those.
I sell my stuff at those. Those are great. This is a different event. This is purely about you. It's about the growth of business.
It's about sharing. It's not a selling event. Let me tell you something. When you come out of that event, and if you've got 10 people on your team, 20 people on your team, you are going to see it absolutely explode. I'm fired up.
And you know what? The next two months until that event, I'm not kidding. I got butterflies in my belly right now. Because I know how powerful these events are. And here's what's cool about it.
You're going to be standing at one of these events. You're going to be talking to somebody else, and somebody's going to walk by. And they're going to go, hey, that's so-and-so. You know what that does? Number one, it creates the urgency in you that the next time I'm at this event, I'm going to be where that guy's at.
You know what? I'm going to be at this event, and I'm going to be a nobody. Me, Mark Call. I might have huge teams everywhere else, but I'm going to be sitting there. And you know what's going to find me?
I'm going to be at this event, and I'm going to be looking up going, hey, I want to be where that guy is. And I'm going to get my team there. Because I know everybody that comes out of this event for that next couple months building into the next event are going to be just exploding and putting people in because of the energy and the momentum. The training that you're going to get, the one-on-one, the atmosphere alone is worth going to the event.
And if you're not there, and you're part of my team, you're going to get yourself there no matter what. Chances are, I won't be able to work with you. That's part of the commitment. And Dave, I know you said it sounds like people might go, oh, Mark's just trying to sell the product. Well, you know what?
I'm brand new in this. A lot of the people that will listen to this aren't even on my team. So I got no financial standing to you. I'm just telling you how it is. You got to get yourself to this event because it's going to create a new energy.
And what we were talking about earlier, association. You want to take pictures with as many of these leaders as you can for your own social credibility. You want to take and talk to as many leaders as you can and bring a little notepad and write down notes as soon as they walk away with what they tell you because every single leader at that event is going to be willing to share with you not so much the successes, but the trials and tribulations that they went through. I guarantee at this event, there's going to be a lot of tears. There's going to be a lot of cheering, and there's going to be a lot of money be made when we come out of it.
No question about it, Mark. What happened, and I want to share this, and the reason I want to say this is because I know what's going to happen to people when they go. And just so everybody knows here, Mark is not earning commissions from the sale of event tickets. It's a non-commissionable product. It's not actually a product.
That's why. We're doing it low cost because we want everybody to be able to be there. And we want people to get there. And we know that some people, it's going to be all that they can do to just pop in a bus and drive across the country and make it into the room. Some people on the call, if you've got a bunch of people in your area, you need to rent a bus, and then your whole team gets in the bus and come to Atlanta.
Nothing will get you guys more excited. Listen to Inner Circle on the way there and on the way back, and your team will just explode. But the value in that event is this, is that we launched Empower Network. A lot of people who they just got in the last month, whatever, they don't know this, but we launched Empower Network from 30 people in a hotel room. There was an NDA meeting.
We made everybody sign non-disclosures. To even get in the room, if they didn't sign a non-disclosure, we didn't let them in the room, okay? Now this event in Atlanta is going to be the same thing. This is not going to be something that we're going to stream over the internet. There will be no live streaming for the people that can't make it.
And a lot of people, they wait for that. They're like, well, I'm going to attend the live streaming version. Well, not allowed here. This will be no live streaming, NDA at the door, not allowed to share what you learned. This is going to be private stuff from the people who are serious enough to get their butt to Atlanta and to be a leader and to get their teams there.
But I'm telling you, we're going to have a lot of people that lay out some concepts I've never shared before. We'll get Mark probably to get you up there sharing some stuff. And we are going to take the people that go to just a new level in their business. And if you're serious in Empower Network at all and you say, Dave, I can't make it, well, then make it. Figure it out.
You say, I'm getting married on that day. Well, move it two weeks later. Maybe that would be the only excuse. Dude, let me tell you something. You're going to laugh at this, okay?
My wife and I got married in Vegas at an event. And I'm not kidding you. It was huge. We decided, okay, we've got this network marketing event that we had to go to in Vegas. And we decided to plan our wedding around that.
And during that, we took off for four hours from the event, went and got married, and then we're back at the event and celebrated that night with our teammates. Hey, well, you know, I'm going to tell everybody here something who's listening and maybe who's new, is I can tell, Mark, that you've listened to a lot of the same stuff that I've listened to, right? And you've been around a lot of the same people that I've been around. And I can tell not because I've known you for a long time.
You can tell anybody who's listened to this audio that I just met you the other day for the first time. It's because the things that you're saying are from the same audios, from the same things that I've learned from. And this goes back to, let's go back a little bit and let's just talk about this law of association here. Because this is something a lot of people, they hear it and they say, oh, yeah, whatever. And then they go drink beer with all their poor friends that make no money and have no success and cheat on their wives and, you know, and act like assholes to everyone. You know what I mean?
And the reality is, though, if we go back and we take a look at this, you know, who's your friends? And I'm thinking of the people that I know that have mentioned you and the people that I know who know you, they're all successful.
And isn't that interesting that I've never heard somebody who's not successful that says, oh, man, we were just hanging out with Mark Call, you know, at a pool, you know, playing pool, drinking beer. You know, I've never heard it. So isn't it fascinating that I've had that experience with you? But let's talk about this law of association. How can somebody who's new, they have no success, they're poor or whatever, or they've been struggling or they're not in the right spheres of association, how can they get from there where they're at, right, to where they get around the people that can help them change their life?
They get around people like you, like Chris Campbell, like Lawrence Tam. They get around the people. You know, like Tracy Walker. How can they get there? How can they work their way into the sphere to get the help that they really need to completely transform their life?
What steps do they need to take? Plain and simple. Step up, be a team player, and commit. If you commit, now, it doesn't mean you've got to put in 100 people to get the attention of a leader. You can put in one or two people and get the attention of that leader by being active with your team, your team's whole, and as a group.
You're going to get the attention of that leader by your commitment level. Again, here we go back to being all in. Number one thing to get that sphere of influence is to be all in. That shows a commitment level. Why is that?
That's because it's truly the training that you need, okay? Just plain and simple. It's the training you need. You've got to be active. Another thing, too, is reach out to your team leader.
A lot of people have, you know, I've got people on my team that have signed up. I don't know. I don't generally call them people. I know that sounds crass, but I generally do not call teammates. But when they call me and they open that door or they email me, the first thing I do, like you do, Dave, is say, okay, are you all in?
Yep. Okay, great. Let's move forward. Now I can direct you to the training that you need. If they're not all in, I do the same thing you said.
Here you go. You've reached out to me. I want to help you. Go do the training. But if they tell you to do something, by golly, go do it.
Okay? You don't have to have $2,000 for an advertising budget because we can direct you to the right training where you can generate and produce for yourself and commit to yourself. So the best way to get the attention of a leader, number one, is to be all in. Number two, to commit not only to the leader, but commit to yourself more than anything and do what your leader tells you to. Do what your sponsor who's successful.
If they say, listen, I need you to go to the 15K formula, watch video number two, scroll forward to one hour and 27 minutes, watch from there on, and then come back after you do that task. By golly, go do that task because they're not steering you wrong. What prerogative would they have of steering you wrong? So doing what they tell you, and that doesn't just mean spending money. We all love to buy.
And here's a big philosophy. Dave, this is what really, really attracted me to you. I'm good friends with a buddy, Marshall Silver. He's a great guy, one of the best motivational speakers you'll ever see, and one of the best stage closers in sales you will ever see. I've seen him close 90% of a room.
It's amazing. Marshall Silver stood right up and looked at me and said, people who do not buy cannot sell. And you know what? He's right. I get all fired up when somebody sells me something.
You know why? Because I don't look at what I bought. I look at how they sold it to me. It intrigues me. So, you know, stand up and be counted if you want to start associating with the leaders.
Tracy Walker is a perfect example. When I helped launch that company, I think it was four years ago, and it launched over 100,000 members in month one. It was with a great leader in the industry, David Darkangel. Tracy Walker was just starting out then. That was four short years ago.
What do you think Tracy Walker did? Tracy Walker stepped up to be counted. She did the actions. She didn't just make pretend she was doing the actions. She actually went and did the tasks that her sponsors told her.
What did that do? Eventually, she ended up passing her own leaders, guys. Wouldn't you love that? And that's the name of the game here. You know, in any network marketing company, it sounds awful.
I love being the guy. I'm sure you do too, Dave. We all do. That's half the reason we do this. But you know what the best feeling in the world is?
Is when the student becomes the teacher. And that's what you've got to have in the back of your mind, and you've got to edify. And in turn, your sponsors are going to edify you. I've got people on my team when I do the team calls that I'm constantly calling out and showing how much of a leader they are.
It's not about me. It's about being a leader. It's the act of promoting yourself without promoting yourself. Let the leader do that for you, and that'll increase your credibility in the marketplace. Here's the challenge for me.
Okay. Number two became a bestseller. Here's the thing. Everything that I did and do in those books, it kind of goes out the window with Empower Network. I hate to say it, because if I was out there doing that.
Simplify your life. That's what's hard for me right now, Dave, is I'm used to doing everything for my team and to my team. And like you said, patting them on the back and picking them up and throwing them around and doing this. I'm not doing it anymore until I really latched on to you guys and realized what you put in front of us. Now I can focus on marketing and spending that 90%.
It's kind of funny. I'm sitting here looking at my bookshelf. I've got a CD of Danny Johnson staring me in the face that I listened to two days ago. So Dave, I can't thank you and Dave enough. I can't thank the team, my team enough, because without you, I wouldn't be here.
That's for sure. And it's about you, not about me. Everybody that's listening out here, these guys aren't going to steer you wrong. The leaders in the Facebook group aren't going to steer you wrong. Get to the event.
It's going to be life changing. And I'm telling you right now, it's just a no brainer. And I want to thank you for having me on, my friend. Well, thanks for being on. Guys, if you're listening to this, if you hear the sound of our voice, a couple of assignments for you.
Number one, make sure you're all in Empower. Make sure you have all the products. You've got the Costa Rica. You've got the basic membership, the blog. You've got the 15K formula.
We really teach paid advertising there. Number two, listen to this audio five times. Now you say, Dave, you put too many audios out to listen five times. Well, that's because you're listening to dumb, stupid, negative news in the car. Stop it.
Listen to the Amway tapes that if you want to learn how to do this in a big level and everybody listening to this, you'll want it. And I know you want it or you wouldn't be still listening to this audio. You would have slammed it down and canceled your membership already because you wouldn't be serious. If you're listening to this, you're serious. And you want this.
You need to learn how to do it. Listen to this five times. Turn your car to a drive time university. Drive back and forth listening. If you're serious and you're ready to take your game to a new level, you know, I think, believe, not tonight, the night we're recording this, but the day after, Tuesday, OK, the 10th, we're going to be opening up probably ticket sales on a early bird special for that event at the lowest cost.
We're going to be offering those tickets. Get your butt registered for that event and commit to be in Atlanta. And over the next two months or a month and a half or whatever we got till that event, ramp up with us, folks. We are going to have some major breakthroughs over the summertime here at Empower that have not been seen by you ever in your life, ever. OK, what we're about to do.
So get all in with us, folks, and I'll see you on the beaches of the world. I'm looking forward to connecting with all of you and taking this game to a whole new level. Mark, thank you again. Appreciate you. You know, tell your beautiful wife that I appreciate, you know, her allowing you to take this time with me.
And I'm looking forward to growing a relationship with you, helping you get to a quarter of a million a month and more because you deserve that. You're a leader that can do this in a bigger picture. And you've got to do it. And I'm looking forward to that.
And you've always deserved the biggest money that the industry has to offer. And we're going to get you there. So appreciate having you on board and your skill set and your mindset, brother.
And looking forward to taking it to the top. David, thanks. Have a great night, everybody. I appreciate you all. And again, thanks for having me on.
