Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.

To see our full income disclosure, please visit our website at www.empowernetwork.com forward slash income dot php. Hello, my name is Lawrence Tam, and I want to welcome you in our Empower Hour. Today is the January the 20th, 2014. My name is Lawrence Tam. I am your host.

I just want to say, Happy freaking New Year. It is an amazing, amazing 2014 already. Now, how do I say it's an amazing 2014? Well, because I worked really hard in 2013, and I saw a lot of people worked really hard in 2013, and 2014 has been a monumental year already.

So, if you were on the call before we went live right now, go ahead and turn off your noise distractions like your TV, maybe a very happy dog in your lap who's always barking because someone's outside. Go ahead and just remove yourself into another room. Grab your spiral notebook with all your ideas. Grab a trusty pen, and let's go ahead and dive into marketing. I am your host.

I can't believe I'm actually on these calls teaching you when back in 2008, I didn't have a clue how to make money from home online. Now, of course, you've heard the income disclosure. You've heard the claimers already, but I do want to reiterate the things that we teach you and the things I've been through, all my personal stories, and I've failed a lot, and that doesn't mean you will, and I've succeeded a lot, which doesn't mean you will too, but you can take what from my story and my accomplishments and my failures, and I've always thought you can learn a lot from people failing because they didn't have to, you know, you didn't have to go through their failures of time and money. So, I'm going to help you with that and get you going to your goal, okay? So, number one, first thing we're going to start with today, and the number one thing we want to be talking about is you.

It's definitely about you, right? Now, I might not be able to see you. I might not be able to hear you. I might not even know your name. I don't even know what you sound like or your aspirations and your goals, but here's what I would like you to do.

Grab your pen, right? Grab your spiral notebook. Write today's date. Today is January 20, 2014, and I want you to put a goal in the next, say, 90 days, the next 90 days, how much money would you like to make part-time from home? Now, if you're full-time already, it might be skewed a little bit.

Now, if you're a customer of ours and this is the first time you've been on one of our calls, what I'm doing right now is something called goal setting. I want to be able to have a chance with you and train you what I've done in the past, what I've been taught from many high-end earners in business, not even just internet markets, but in business, to have a goal, okay? So, I'm going to take 10 seconds for you to kind of think about, in 90 days, I'm not talking 2015. I'm not talking when you graduate college. I'm not talking about when you have your third kid.

I'm just saying, what would you like to accomplish in business monetarily in the next 90 days, okay? Okay, cool. You know, I want to generate another 10 customers to my nutritional business. You know, I want to generate five new clients to my law firm. I want to generate another six new clients to my accounting firm.

Whatever it is, you know, about 90 days, I definitely think there's a lot you can accomplish in 90 days. But the problem with a lot of people is, before they can even get there, they don't put the actual effort in getting the roadmap there, okay? Now, my goal as a trainer on tonight's Empower Network call, the Empower Hour, is to focus on how I've been able to go online and generate traffic, convert that traffic into leads, and to make money on the Internet, okay?

Now, some of you are probably customers. Some of you are probably guests. And some of you are probably affiliates, okay? Now, this will apply to everyone here. Now, of course, if you don't actually have our product, I would highly recommend you go into our product and go to the person who invited you tonight and, you know, hit them up.

Hey, you know, where's your link? I'd like to join. I'd like to make sure you get paid for the referral. We're a referral business. I mean, it's kind of like someone came over and said, hey, would you like your carpets cleaned?

And you said yes. And then, like, two hours later, somebody came over and washed their carpets. Well, they asked you, well, who referred you to us? And you didn't refer to that person who, you know, gave you the referral. You're not helping that person who came to you and said, hey, I have something that you need, something that you would like to have done.

And give the referral back to the person who did introduce you to Empower Network. Get with them. Just do it. Just a simple email, text, or phone call would do. And just say, hey, look, I'm looking to join Empower Network.

I know you introduced me to it. You know, where's your link to join? Okay, cool. So a lot of you who are already in Empower Network, I do want to dive into a couple things that I've done since 2008, and it's called blogging. Okay, but specifically, there's a couple things I'm going to touch on blogging that will help you understand what blogging is, how to increase it, what does that really mean in business, do I need it if I'm, like, a...

if I'm a house cleaner, or if I'm a car wash salesman, a car wash dealer, or if I'm a car salesman. But yes, you should have a blog, all right? Now, those of you who are in Empower Network, customer and affiliate, you do have additional resources, and we want to go into a couple of those. Now, I can't explain all of it because there are literally five videos, okay? There's five videos and three download goodies when you become a member.

Now, of course, that gives you an awesome blog that's also blog-ready on mobile, but there's five things, these trainings are five lessons, and they're found in our core products of the Fast Start training, okay? So if you are a member, I'm going to write this down, Lawrence says, to make sure to go look at what is called the Fast Start training. Now, I'm going to tell you a story. In the Fast Start training, generally, most companies will go, just go into Fast Start training, and we're going to show you how to market and build a big business. Now, I'm referring to network marketing.

Now, I love network marketers. Now, a lot of you are network marketers trying to build your nutritional, your technology, your coffee, your weight loss. That's cool, right? But come on, give me a show of hands. I mean, just do it in your house.

Give me a show of hands. How many of you went to a business thinking that they're going to teach you how to do business by marketing? But when you go to that business, they teach you, well, this is how you market. You talk to your friends and your family, and you build 200 games, and you call each of them up, and you say, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right? Now, that is one form of marketing.

That's a form of marketing that I don't particularly like to train on, and I don't particularly like to do because I feel like it's very limited, right? Cool thing about Empower Network, in Fast Start training, we actually teach you marketing. Think about that. We actually show you if you sell Audis, you sell Pintos, you sell Fritos, you sell hair weaves, you sell shoes, you sell engineering equipment, you sell piano tuning, you sell your piano teacher, anything out there right now that you can do for more traffic, as in more customers, potential people who could become customers coming to you, if that's something you would like to do and would like to learn, it's in our...

Fast Start training. I'm going to give you some of the cool, like, meaty bits and pieces in it so you can really dive into it. Now, some of you are like, I don't have a clue what the heck internet marketing is, or what you do. I just know I want some of it. So let me explain some of that real quick, okay?

So some of you are not customers and are not affiliates. You're just guests. Let's just go, Empower Network right now is the place to be when you want to learn how to make money. You want to learn how to make money on the internet, bar none, plain and simple, done. You want to make money on the internet?

You want to learn how to do it? You want to have a product that you can sell and retail and make money from it? Empower Network is the place to be right now. So if you're still a prospect who are like, I don't really know what all this stuff is about. I just know someone emailed me about it, or someone gave me a text, or someone gave me a flyer, definitely get back with the person and go, look, I'm really intrigued.

I listened to this thing about Lawrence Tam. He made over a million dollars. With Empower Network, that is not an audio mistake. I have made over a million dollars inside of Empower Network part-time with kids working a job in another business doing this. So what I'm going to tell you right now is you've got to go back into the Fast Start training for $25.

Tell me, for $25, we went out to dinner today to get some hamburgers, and for our family of five, I have a baby who's 18. I have a little kid who's seven, and our girl is nine. And my wife, it's more than $25. And I'm going to tell you right now, the value we're going to give you in these five videos will trump any $25 meal. Every month that you're going to pay for that, this training will trump it, right?

And we're going to dive into it. Now, some of you, I'm going to switch over to those who are actually in Empower Network. Now, check this out. And those of you who are not, write these down, because you're going to want to be able to access this immediately, because you will have instant access once you get in.

It's not one of those things where, like, you have to wait, like, two weeks for it to be delivered to you. It's instant delivery. Pretty cool, right? You don't have to go to a hotel meeting and listen to some dude talk about lotion, potions, and pills. We're going to show you pure marketing to market anything, okay?

So, come on to the Fast Start training, and what we're going to show you is the bare bones, like, meat and potatoes of how I was able to escape the cubicle life. So, if you don't know my story, my cubicle life is I am, or was, a mechanical engineer working in the oil and gas field, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought I would be working from home making more money than I could have ever made in engineering. Why? Because no guidance counselor, no mentor, my dad, my friends.

My friends, relatives, everyone I saw, no one works from home and makes enough money to stay home. The only people I know who work from home are either, A, real estate agents, but they're really in the office, or they're unemployed people who work from home. Everyone else is like a stay-at-home mom, or they're unemployed, right? But I legitimately work from home. So, when someone comes in, Lawrence, what the heck do you do?

It's like, well, I work from home. It's like, what does that really mean? In a nutshell, in a nutshell, I retail products and services that people want, period. So, some of you right now, half of your brain might be going, I'm not a salesperson.

The other half of you go, that is genius. So, let me address just both of those sides, right? So, the side that goes, I'm not a salesperson, you're talking to a middle child mechanical engineer who barely graduated, right? Because I just, like, I failed. I basically almost failed out of a graduate.

I didn't go to a graduate class because it was just too hard. I'm not, I guess, not nerdy enough, right? Went to the engineering field, got laid off twice, right? Two times I've been laid off in engineering, and I just, you know, it just wasn't the thing for me. And I was speaking to one of our leaders, Aaron Rashkin, and he put it into a really cool aspect.

I never really thought about it this way. A lot of you go into engineering, or go into political science, or go into business, go into college, right? You do it for business reasons, right? Now, some of you might not. Some of you went to college because you loved it.

You loved basket weaving. You loved talking about history, and you loved mathematics. But, you know, in the bigger picture, people go to college to basically learn how to learn that then translates to employers thinking, okay, that person's probably a good person to hire because they've got good grades, they've had internships, okay, we interviewed them, they're not crazy. But that's not the case. That company will generally teach you how they want you to work, generally, unless you're like a Ph.D.

student or a master's student. I'm just talking about the bachelors out there. I'm talking about everyone who's got like a B.S. or B.A., right? And so, the idea for college was just to learn how to learn.

Learn how to physically, you know, physically learn to digest information very quickly, right? And then apply it. That's all college was, right? They taught you in class, gave you homework, had a test. Apply it.

Same thing in the workforce. I learned this in engineering. I really didn't really need anything, really anything in college. Like, everything I needed in terms of equations and maybe the more defined equations and processes were either learned while I was working or I Googled it. Like, what is this equation for centroids?

You know, how do I fix this centroid mass or, you know, what's the properties of stainless steel and, you know, is it corrosive? You know, all that you Google. Like, yeah, you probably could learn it. Maybe that was just me.

I'm not the super genius engineer. I was just a typical engineer, right? Now, a lot of you are going, well, what does this have to do with business? See, I went into engineering because that was a business decision, meaning I went into getting an education that cost my parents. They paid my way, right?

And it cost them thousands of dollars. Thousands and thousands of dollars just so I could have something that I could do coming out and make money from. It's a business decision. They didn't want me to go to engineering to become a dance teacher. They didn't want me to go to engineering so I can sell flowers.

They wanted me to go to engineering so I can learn engineering so I can be hired by an engineering firm and make money. It's all about making money. It was never like, Lawrence, you love engineering. Follow your passion. No, man.

I mean, I don't know what the heck I wanted to do. You know what I mean? All I know is to be a valued asset to the environment, to the society, and to, you know, your family, you've got to be able to sell yourself. You've got to sell yourself. Everyone here who's like, I don't like to sell, if you've had one job that you've worked for someone else, you sold yourself because if you didn't, you'd still be unemployed, right?

Minimum wage, lawyer, engineer, football stud. Like, I mean, if you're an athlete, you have to sell yourself to why they should actually want you in their college as a scholarship, right? Every person needs to sell themselves. So I want you to get around the fact that, yeah, you actually do get in sales.

Are you married? Are you dating? You're good in sales because the person on the other end said, sure, I'll get married to you. Yes, I accept. Yes, we'll go on a second date.

Yes, we'll have kids. You had to sell that. So anytime you have this weird notion of, I'm not a good salesperson, well, the worst salesperson in the world, if you can show me one, I would say it's one who lives in a cave, doesn't have any friends, does not have a partner. Because, I mean, when you have friends, you're selling yourself, right?

Think about it. You have to be liked by the other person. You have to sell your friendship in terms of, we should be friends because of X, Y, and Z. Because if it's always a pull, you're not going to sell yourself. Like, not give.

You have to give in a relationship. You're selling why you're giving is valuable. Hey, I'll pick you up.

Hey, I have some good views about football. Hey, I'm a funny dude. You're selling yourself, right? Now, how do you translate that to making some money? See, no one taught me about this in college, and no one knew how to do it from home, right?

2008, going online, found a traffic source that allowed me to sell without me selling on the phone. And to me, that was just so dang sexy. I could be able to build a business on the Internet from home without calling somebody. I'm like, OMG. Sign me up.

Now, let's go dive into why that's important for me and why that's important for you because one of the core principles of Empower Network is blogging and why it's so important. And I want you to understand. A blog is mainly just a website, but it's a website that's catered, and it's really geared for someone like yourself. And I didn't say anything specifically. Any one of you could use a blog, all right?

Now, I have this awesome training, all right? I don't want to toot my own horn, but I think it was an awesome training. It is in the Fast Start Training, Lesson Number One. It's called Easy Blogging Blog Tech. That's what's Lawrence Tam, all right?

Every single customer, every single affiliate has instant access to this. People ask me all the time, Lawrence, how do you do what you do? How do you get traffic to your website? How are you able to sponsor so many people? How are you able to sell so many products on the Internet, right?

A blog is the first step to your dynasty, and if you haven't seen this training or if you're a customer and don't know what it is, definitely get back with the person who invited you to this and just write down, okay, Lawrence said, make sure I need to watch Lesson One in the Fast Start Training about Easy Blogging Blog Tech with Lawrence Tam. Now, as of today, there are 1,729 likes and 935 comments. Let's just say a lot of them are getting some really awesome value, and if you look at the comments, a lot of them go, I can't believe we get this for $25, and you can laugh all the way to the bank because we're here to save you some ridiculous money with this product. It's crazy, and I've talked to, like, you know, leadership.

We're like, guys, we probably should take this down because it's too much great information, right? So, don't quote me on it, but if this thing disappears because it's so great, like, it's really, really awesome. In my opinion, if you were to go outside of Empower Network and look at what we've taught in here, you're paying anywhere from, say, $9.97 to $14.97. I'm serious.

You're probably going to pay that much outside of Empower Network. Go in, look at the comments, look at what we actually teach. So, Lesson One is purely about blogging, okay? Purely about blogging.

This is the core essential if you plan to make some serious money. Now, why blogging? Okay, here's, I'm going to give you some tips. This thing, like, that video I did was over an hour long, okay?

So, there's a lot of different things in there, so I can't cover it all. We only have, like, another 40 minutes on this call, okay? But I'm going to give you some meat and potatoes of it, okay? So, number one, why you want to blog... Well, number one, if you want to retail something or if you want to build a brand or if you want to build an audience, you want to build a list, you do it on the blog.

Well, why is that? I mean, if you do it on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, if you do it, like, on properties, those free platforms, there's a lot of guidelines to what you can retail, right? No, seriously.

They don't like it. So, it's very important you have a platform that openly accepts affiliates. Now, what is an affiliate? Affiliate is someone who retails someone else's products and makes money from it. So, an example would be Amazon, okay?

You can sign up for Amazon. Some states you can't. Some countries you can't. But Amazon, they'll pay you about 6% to 10% for every product you sell on Amazon, and you are now considered an Amazon affiliate, right?

Now, I wouldn't recommend it as your full source of income, but it was something I was tinkering with back in 2009, right? And why is this important? It's because an affiliate is actually a very common term that's used everywhere, and many people, large corporations, actually have affiliates. You just never knew that they wanted to pay you to retail their products. I mean, think about it.

I used to go to Amazon, and I think Best Buy has a couple. I think Walmart has a couple of these affiliates where you can grab a product on the Internet, and if you wrote a blog post, okay, and the blog post was informative, it was persuasive, and it was something that was found to be valuable, someone reads it. And if someone were to buy that television or that ring, that watch, those tennis shoes on Amazon, they'd say, now, some of you might be going, well, dang, I'm rich. Well, no, you're not. I mean, 8% to 10%.

Keep your day job, all right? But it's cool, though. Really, I wanted to drive home the idea that affiliate marketing is a thriving place for you to make some money, and large corporations, they all do it. Like, legit, like NFL has one. I mean, there's tons.

Seriously, the best way to find one, go to any website, look to the very bottom, and they'll say, oh, yeah, I'm an affiliate. They're affiliates. They're accepting people to retail their products. Now, in Empower Network, you can come in as a customer and learn how we market, how you drive traffic, how you generate leads, how you make money. And also, if you want to make a lot of money with what we've done, right, you can actually become an affiliate with us, right, and we will then give you the ability to process credit cards so that you can then sell, like, this core product, the Fast Start Training, the blog beast, right?

This actual blogging platform, you can actually retail for this Fast Start Training. And this Fast Start Training for $25 really should be worth around $1,000 to $1,497, and I'm going to explain a couple of things in these modules that you should really dive into because it's going to help you sell more Audis, sell more flowers, sell more event tickets, sell more Girl Scout cookies. Some of you guys are thinking, Lord, you're crazy. All right, all right, all right.

True story. Actually, two true stories. My daughter, she should be sleeping. Let me get a drink of water.

My daughter was in first grade, okay? And in first grade, she had to do some fundraising. Now, what is fundraising? Is fundraising like sales? You bet your, how do you say that?

You bet your head it is. You darn sure it is. It is, all right? It's sales, right? If you're in fundraising, you're raising funds.

Like, we were, they were building, I think they're called ELMOs. They were collecting funds for ELMOs, which are these, like, really cool projectors for the classroom, right? We go to a public school. In a public school, you know, we're like, well, okay, let's see how we can help this school raise funds, right? You know how, two stories, okay?

Both stories are very, very similar. Actually, they're the same. She was the number one seller in the entire school for her grade two years back-to-back. How the heck did I help get her to sell more products?

Are you ready for this? I'm going to teach you. It was found in the core principles of Empower Network. I used a blog. I used persuasive ad copy.

I used a video. I used a strong call to action. I had a button. And then that button was linked to her affiliate code. You got it.

My daughter in first and second grade had her own affiliate code. Now, some of you might think, well, I don't know, I've never seen that before. Well, it was probably referred to as a referral code. It's a link that was directly tied to her or tied to your child so when they make a sale through cookies or baskets or magazines, they get credit for it, right? And the person, the kids who get to a certain level, they make enough sales, they get, like, you know, trips.

They get, you know, prizes. Like, my daughter got this really cool, like, helicopter fish thing. It, like, floats and it flies. It's so neat, right? And plus, she got on stage with a magician.

It was really neat. And, like, at that age, she didn't really understand what was going on. Like, Dad, why do I have to do this? But she's like, Dad, I trust you. I believe you.

You do this for a living. Let me know how you do it. Okay, so the inside goodies for tonight's Empower Hour is how to dominate a fundraiser, especially the school fundraiser. Number one, shoot a good video. Number two, have a core audience.

Number three, have good ad copy. How do you learn ad copy? Ad copy is the science of persuasive selling with words, right, and specifically with words that are written on a page. And I had some really good ad copy, and a lot of the ad copy I learned was from a product we sell on Empower Network, the 15K formula. Now, this has nothing to do with retailing the 15K formula.

This has everything to do with using what was in the 15K formula to then help my daughter win back-to-back. I mean, she should have, like, a belt. She's, like, you know, back-to-back champion, you know what I mean? And this is so awesome that she won it back-to-back years. And how she did it was good ad copy, a video, strong call to action on a blog. That was it.

I didn't mail it to my big list, right? I didn't want to do that. But I did it in a very particular way. Number one, know who your core audience is.

And that brings us to, in the Fast Start training, there is an actual, like, goodie in here. Aaron Raskin talks about it, right, in Lesson 3. And there's also a download. There's three downloads inside of Empower Network for the Fast Start training, right?

There's three of them. There's three goodies. Maybe you didn't know they were there, but let's make sure you understand what they are because they are just ridiculous value. And, okay, so here's the first one.

It's called Say What? Go ahead and say it with me. Freak your spouse out. Freak your wife out or husband next to you.

So, hey, I'm about to learn something, and the title of the document is called Say What? It's actually knowing your avatar and knowing what to say to them. Say to them. Get it?

Aaron Raskin breaks this down. And he actually goes into the whole, like, avatar movie and understanding what it is. And, you know, I can't really give away the whole spoiler with that.

That's on Lesson 3. So when you become a member of Empower Network or if you're already a member with Empower Network or if you're looking to become a new member of Empower Network, go into the Fast Start training. It comes with your membership. Watch Lesson 3. It's called Say What?

Blog Topics with Aaron Raskin. Now, Aaron Raskin, he built this PDF. It's called Say What? Knowing Your Avatar. And this is a really good breakdown of what it is, right?

I'm going to give you just a little bit of a piece of it, okay? Because I don't want to give away all of it, obviously, because, you know, we only have, like, 30 minutes left, right?

So here's what it is. It's an avatar, the perfect prospect person for your business, the results viewer identified from the questions above. Now, what are those questions? Well, I can't really give those questions until you download it. It doesn't make any sense, right?

So it's colorful. It's in bold. Go ahead and download it. It's in your back office. If you're still, you know, not part of Empower Network, write down, okay, I need to go to Lesson 3 and download Aaron Raskin's Say What?

PDF, all right? Download it, and then you'll understand what an avatar is, the deeper aspect of what an avatar is. I'm going to gloss right over it. Guess who my avatar was? It wasn't the people on my list.

My avatar was one person. I didn't say 100 people. I said one person. Are you ready for this?

I wasn't marketing to everybody. I'm going to repeat this. Write it down. I was not marketing to everybody or anyone or everyone.

I was only marketing to one person. And that one person was the person who truly believed, loved, cherished, enjoyed my daughter, Allison. You get that? I only marketed to people who really liked my daughter. So my closing ratio is ridiculous, right?

And the thing is, like, you know, we were selling, I think, cookies and magazines. I mean, come on. Let's be real. The only reason we actually donated these things is because it's to help a cause, right? But how many times do you get donated to and the person comes up to your door or, you know, whoever comes up and goes, hey, you want to buy some magazines?

You're like, okay, great. What I did instead was I did not have her talk about anything except what her mission was, right, so they could attach to her vision, right, her mission, and how it would help her school. Right? Hi, my name is Allison Tam.

I haven't spoke to you in a while. I just want to say hello. How are you doing? Yes, I have grown a little bit, but I just want to say thanks for watching this video. And in my school right now, I'm in first grade, and we're looking to actually build a better school so we have a better education system so I can learn better and I can get better grades and go to a better college and be more like my dad.

Well, here's what I wanted to do, raise funds for this thing called an elbow. Now, I don't know what it was. I thought it was a little red doll, but it's not a little red doll. It's actually a technologically advanced projector that will help our teacher teach us better.

And for us to do this, we need to raise funds. So what we're doing is I would like you to look. There's a button below this video, and in that video, you can press that button, and there's a lot of really cool things that you can buy in there like magazines and chocolates and cookies. But the main reason you want to do this is because you want to be able to do this so you can help me get a better education. Hey, my name is Allison Tam.

Love you. Thank you for watching my video. Peace. Boom. Only spoke to people who knew, loved, and enjoyed Allison.

Now, does anyone need more cookies? Of course, you need more cookies. I want more cookies. Does anyone need more magazines? Of course, we should read more.

But the main reason she sold so much is because people wanted to give her money because she was the one delivering the value. She was the one sharing her vision, and it really was connected with her brand. It was my daughter. It was her. I didn't go door to door.

I didn't go on Facebook. I've been showing this to my team. I was like, why don't more people focus on avatar? Oh, I know why. They didn't go into the freaking training.

Go through lesson three, Aaron Raskin. His training is Say What? Blog Topics with Aaron Raskin. This guy had almost 500 likes for this. You've got to give it up.

Go in and just pound the likes if you're already a customer or affiliate. Just pound it in there because this is something that's got to be ingrained into you. Who are you really marketing to? Interesting.

I want to give you another nugget from my man Aaron. It's called the PASS formula. P-A-S. Write it down.

P-A-S. Not pass the gas. Not pass some other crazy thing. It's P-A-S, PASS formula. PASS formula stands for this.

P stands for problem. A stands for agitation. Like, you know, that little thing inside your washer that just kind of turns. It turns your clothes. It's an agitator.

Agitation. Then the S stands for solution. P-A-S formula. Problem, agitation, solution. And he actually dives headfirst into this.

So if you haven't heard about this, if you haven't implemented this into your business, and let's say you sell cars, I have a guy on my team. I've been mentoring him. And, you know, I would love for him to come back to me and say, you know what? Your PASS system, I've been doing without even knowing.

But by knowing how this actually works, the mechanics behind it, I've been able to increase my sales. And I know from the bottom of my heart, if he implements this, he sells a lot already. He can get there even further. All right? So P-A-S, problem, agitation, solution.

So if you're a car salesman, and let's say you're on the internet, someone who hasn't come into your dealership yet, the problem is generally the person, they don't want a new car. Their car stinks. Car's broken. They really want a new brand. They want to look better.

That's a problem, right? What's the problem? You know, I drive a 1989 Volvo. It knocks. The heater and AC doesn't work.

The locks don't work. There's a giant hole in my dash. There's no radio because it was stolen. And, you know, hubcaps, no. It's just steel wheels.

And, you know, my tires are bald. So basically, a very, very dangerous automobile to be in. I need a new machine. Okay?

So the problem is there, and you agitate it by bringing it up. Well, what happens if it snows? What happens if it rains? What if you get a date and someone sees that hole in your dash? You know what I mean?

You know, how are you supposed to learn audio training when you don't have a radio in your car? You know, how are you supposed to actually impress somebody if you're a car salesman, if you drive a 1989 beat-up Volvo that is worth $500? It doesn't make sense. You agitate it, and you present it as a solution. No, let's just check this out.

There's this car. Let's just call it the Audi R8. I don't know if it exists, but let's just say, hypothetically, there's a car called the Audi R8. And let's just say right now, you will look better. You will feel happier.

Your wife or your soon-to-be wife will generally enjoy getting out of that car versus this one right here. Now, of course, you know, financing aside. It really isn't worth you. The idea is this. There's a problem.

You agitate it. You have a solution. Does that make sense? If that makes sense, give me a heck yeah.

Just scare your dog. Heck yeah. Raise your hand and say, heck yeah, right? Problem, agitate, solution. If you do this over and over and over again in your emails, in your Facebook posts, or like through your blog posts, if you do this in your blogs, right, you have more people who will then become trapped.

Traffic makes you no money by itself. But traffic who converts into a prospect, that prospect, once you've identified a problem that they've had through an avatar, through an agitation, through a solution, you would then have a better chance of retailing whatever you're trying to retail. Selling weaves, selling high tops, selling Fritos, selling franchises, whatever floats your boat. Problem, agitation, solution, finding your ideal market and marketing to that specific person only, okay?

Something you can download in the back office of Empower Network. If you log in, it's right there under core products. It's called Fast Start Training, lesson number three, okay? Now, I'm going to go into something called the blogging blueprint to helping you be able to blog better. This is something I've been doing since 2008.

I probably have collectively, I have probably written, not outsourced, written over a thousand articles by hand. Take a breath. Breathe out. If moms can do it part-time, why can't you? And so, when I have a client who comes in and goes, Lawrence, I've been blogging.

I've been blogging once a day. It's been 90 days. I haven't made any money yet. There's a couple things that I like to look at. Number one, how much action have you taken?

Number two, are you actually doing the things we teach you in Empower Network? And number three, do you do it, like, for the right reasons, right? If you're trying to sell on the internet, and you just seem slimy, do you really think people want to buy from you? No.

Have the good reasons for it. Because you want to help people. Because really, yes, you need to make money. But knowing that if you can help someone else get traffic, generate leads, and make money, you become an asset to the society, to your family, to the environment. I mean, come on.

This is real, right? So, in this blogging blueprint, you can find it inside of the Fast Start training. Okay? If you click that little gray arrow, it'll pop up.

And for now, remember, of course, go ahead and get with the person who referred to you. Hit them up. Hey, look, I want to hit this Fast Start training pretty hard and fast. There's something called a blogging blueprint I need to download, Lawrence said. It's called Blogging Blueprint Converting Blog Posts.

And I want to learn how to do this because maybe I'm a nutrition, maybe I sell coaching, maybe I sell dog grooming. And you want to use blogging. There's four steps. But these four steps alone, it won't work. I'm going to repeat.

If you do four steps and you miss this one step in between the four steps, you got it wrong. You have to download this actual blueprint. All right? Now, I'm not going to explain it. I'm just going to say what it is.

So, you can write it down. You can look for it. Blogging Blueprint. There's four steps. And then you repeat.

You don't just do it once. You repeat. It's called the bridge. Okay? B-R-I-D-G-E.

It's called the bridge. Now, I'm not going to say where it goes. I'm not going to say how it functions.

I'm not going to say what it looks like. Okay? You need to download this PDF. It's in the back office of Empower Network on the Fast Start training. Right?

You want to be able to look at this. Now, if you're still a guest, you don't know what that is. It's four steps. I'm going to go over the four steps. But I'm not going to go over where the bridge goes and how it interacts.

Okay? Because I don't want you to have just an education in 30 minutes. I want you to have a full-on career with a good foundation going into the back office.

Okay? So, number one, you blog with articles. Now, these articles, I love blogging because it does a couple things and it does it perfectly. You ready? What's a blog with an article?

Number one, it's an article. You can have text on it. Now, 500 words, 700 words, 2,000 words. Okay?

You can blog, you know, with text. Right? That's number one. Number two, you can blog and add an audio, like an audio MP3, like a link to a podcast. You can do audio on there.

You can embed audio. Number three, you can do visuals, like images. Like, you can embed Pinterest images or, like, Tumblr things into there, you know. And you can do visuals. Like what?

Like video. You can embed video. And PowerDog has its own hosting. You can embed your own video on the fly, mobile. You can do blogging mobile.

Blogging mobile. Look at video. Have some text. Put a little image on there. Boom.

Hit upload. You have a blog with video, text, and an image. Fantastic way to engage. Because some people, they engage with audio. Some people engage with video.

Some people engage with reading. Right? So a blog can encompass all of that. And the cool thing is it can be centered around keywords and you can do this and be found on Google for free. I heard, you heard me right.

People say, Google, see your article and click it. Come to your website. You just had a new traffic source and you didn't have to pay for that person to come there. You see what I'm saying? But you got to have an established method, a software piece.

It's a blog. And I talk about it in Lesson 1. Right? Let's refer back to it. Lesson 1.

It's called Easy Blogging, Blog Tech with Lawrence Tam. Okay? And then there's a bridge. There's a call to action. Call to action allows you to go and it's your strong form of when you read an article, you should have some way to reconnect with your reader, either to get more leads, get more sales, get some shares on Facebook, maybe comment.

You got to have a direct call to action because if they've come that far, you should ask for something in return. It doesn't have to be money. Right? It can be a comment. Right?

You have goals. What is your goal of your blog? Right? Number three, your goal of your blog is generating leads, building a brand, making money, generating traffic, whatever it is, have a goal in mind. Because if you're just blogging, just a blog and there's nothing there to actually do anything with the traffic forward, well, why are you doing it?

I think you're wasting your time. You can definitely do that. Like, I wrote an article about Nelson Mandela dying. Like, he passed away. I wrote a blog about it.

And with that one, I'm not here to make any money from, you know, readers of people who read just, you know, Nelson Mandela just died on my blog. I said, hey, look, if this information was valuable to you and this article was of value, go ahead and just share it on Facebook. Boom. I got traffic from viral shares. Right?

And that's all built on a blog. And I had this on Facebook. And this is everything you should be doing. You should be building for people that they want to read and engaging valuable content.

Now, step number four, I'm going to go ahead and leave that off so you can read it. Sorry about that. But let's just say it starts with understand your metrics and your unique visitors and other things. It's in the PDF. Go ahead and download it.

Go ahead and print it. Put it on your wall. Put it on your desktop. It's good. Go ahead and download it.

And you'll get that information to allow you to read it. So that's my first thing. All right. So step number four is I told you that allowed me to blog about the Houston Texans, blog about my Texas Longhorns, helped me blog about, like, you know, $15 minimum wage employees, helped me blog about the fast food strike. I mean, I blogged all about these different things.

Right? And I always have a direct reason of why I'm doing it, and I have a call to action. Okay? So we went over lesson one with blogging, lesson number three about say what with Aaron Raskin.

Now, there are some crazy goodies in here. Now, we're not going to have enough time to go through all of them. I'm just going to mention them so that you can go back to them, okay? So, lesson two in the Fast Track training is called Driving Peeps, Dominating Traffic with Vic's Drive House. Give or take.

And when you want to learn about driving traffic, Vic, he threw this in with your $25 membership. So, let's just say you can learn a lot. So, check this out. Vic shoots this video and teaches you different, like, hardcore traffic methods, and like 1,000 people like this. Now, it's up to you if you want to learn this serious driving traffic with Vic.

Hammer that like button. Have your customers come in and watch this video. Now, if you're an affiliate, you should definitely have, you know, your guests and customers buy the $25 product just for lesson two. Now, lesson one and lesson three are awesome. Lesson two, it's not about blogging.

It's about driving serious traffic, and this can work with your blog. Because, see, if you're driving traffic, you know you can drive traffic to a blog. Yes, you can, right? And lesson four is my man, Justin Varengia, who's just, you know, I believe he's just had a little bit of a break. He's just had a baby.

Congratulations, Justin and V. Lesson number four, making money blogging. He's going to go into how he's been able to blog, make money from, how to monetize properly, okay? How do you physically monetize? So if you're like, Lawrence, I've been blogging for five years now. Or, hey, I have $2,000 blog posts.

And I'm regarded as the number three blog authority. Now, sorry, I don't mean, it's funny, though. Myself, Justin Varengia, and Vic have all made a million dollars in less than two years using Empower Network with blogging, right?

A lot of it was blogging. So that's definitely something you should look for. It comes with your membership. And number five, co-owner Dave Sharp goes, Lesson five, get him talking with viral traffic. And you definitely want to watch this.

Now, there is one more download that I want to kind of go over. Mental preparations. Are you ready? Okay, here's some steps to getting a really good blog post. All right, all right, all right.

Loosen your shoulders, okay? Six steps. Ready? Step number one, have a goal in mind.

Repeat. Number one, goal in mind. Number two, the bridge. Interesting. Maybe you should look at some of our trainings to understand what that means.

Number three, keyword. Huh, we talked about that. Go through lesson one. Number four, you write it. Number five, call to action.

Number six, analyze and repeat daily. Come repeat. Number one, goal in mind. Number two, the bridge. Number three, keyword.

Number four, you need to write. Number five, call to action. Number six, analyze and repeat daily. Now, this is a PDF I put together for my lesson one. And if you haven't gone through this and you're a blogger, it's kind of like, oh, man, how can I say this, are you crazy?

So here's an example. I teach you broad keywords versus long tail keywords and the differences and why there's differences between a generic keyword and a long tail keyword. I teach you a generic keyword and a buyer keyword, like the example of a 2008 Ford Mustang in Dallas that's a convertible versus just saying cars. Does that make sense? This is keyword training that we teach you in lesson one, okay?

So what does this all mean to you? All this means to you is, well, number one, it's one of the core things we teach in Empower Network, which is blogging. You've got to be blogging, okay? Number two, when you have a blog and it's on a network and platform that actually promotes and encourages affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is where the majority of my income has been made outside of engineering.

Affiliate marketing, you are then going to be able to learn how to retail other products to make money, right? Like I've been selling vacuum cleaners, video games, cat water fountains with blog posts. And also, I've sold a lot of blog posts of Empower Network because it's my preferred method of teaching people how to blog. Ain't that kind of interesting? Teaching things that I personally use and I feel is a really good program to learn from and use.

So, I'm going to get a drink of water before I say this. Now, with blogging, I've had thousands of customers and the number one resource I tell them, you should be blogging because it allows you to become a pure affiliate marketer. It allows you to build a list. It allows you to generate traffic to it so you have a place to catch it, right? And with this blog, I've had this phenomenal success in this product and so many people who actually purchased this product that it's a really good product to retail as an affiliate, right?

We allow you to actually retail this affiliate once you have your affiliate system set up, right? It's $19.95. It allows you to take credit cards on the Internet. It's for the infrastructure. It gives you customer service.

And it allows you to retail products like this one if you have the $25 product at almost 100%. Now, I didn't say 100% mainly because there are merchant fees. The reason are merchant fees because, well, you're not a credit card company, right? They have their own merchant fees. If you've ever had your own merchant account, let me just say I've had to shut down one before and it's just not fun, right?

But this merchant actually pays and it's on time. And check this out. I'm going to repeat that. Now, I don't say this to impress you. I say this.

This is money retailing other people's products. That's why I'm telling you this. A lot of you go, like I remember like when I was in high school and college, I was like, well, if I'm going to be rich, I need to like be the guy who invents, you know, like Cliff Notes, you know, those little hint guys. I need to be the guy who invented the Post-it Note. I need to be the guy who invented the little bears, the teeny babies, right?

I need to be the guy who invented, you know, some crazy video game or some crazy app on the Apple iPad. I need to be the guy who invented Apple. No, you don't. I just showed you.

I mean, like you could be a news reporter. You could actually blog about your passion. You could actually follow like the Seattle Seahawks and talk about why, you know, Richard Seymour should be a spokesperson because he's so passionate about what he does. You can blog about that, right? And the cool thing is you can make money doing it, and you make good money doing it.

So here's what I suggest. I suggest you learn how to blog. I suggest you learn how to become an affiliate marketer. How do you learn to become an affiliate marketer? Learn from us.

Learn from Empower Network. Learn how to sell more products. Learn how to sell, you know, more potions, lotions. I mean, I've sold that stuff before in the past, right? And nothing good or bad.

It's just a preference, right? My preference, you know, I don't personally like to do those things. I mean, primarily, this is my example. Wow. 10%.

And to me, that's just crazy. That's crazy talk, right? But, you know, I'm not here to talk about commissions and battling whose commissions are better. I'm just saying, look, if you go into a business and you're not being taught how to market, that business is going to be a handicap to you.

Why? Because you're not going to know how to get traffic, how to get traffic to turn into prospects, and those prospects become buyers, right? If you don't learn the principles of marketing, you won't be able to sell more homes passively. You're not going to know how to sell more Audi vehicles. You're not going to learn how to sell more pencils at a pencil fundraiser.

You're always going to be stuck in thinking the only way you can make money is your own time. Now, you can take that back. When I was a salaried engineer, as a salary, there is no overtime pay. When I was a designer, I was a designer for about a year and a half. They paid time and a half.

And so, like, that was my whole mindset. You work more, hopefully get a raise, hopefully get a bonus. You work hard if you're hourly to get more hours to do overtime. But it's always your time. You're never going to break out of that shell.

And then you realize, like, how do people make more money but they don't actually spend more time working making more money? How do, I mean, let's put it in perspective. Do you think they work five times different? Do you think the person who makes a quarter million dollars a year works five times longer, five times harder? Like, just seriously think about that.

Do you think they're five times smarter? In math, this is called a relationship. This is called a slope. This is called a common denominator. This is called what is the actual incremental change that goes from $50,000 to $250,000.

I'm going to tell you, it's not being five times smarter. It's not five times the amount of personal time. It's not five times the skill level. In essence, it's not five times. It's not.

You know what it is? It's learning certain things that will help manage your time. It's the things like marketing. It's the things like having a proper relationship with yourself. It's the things that allow yourself to be successful.

It has nothing to do with being, I love myself five times more. Love yourself five times more, right, it's not five times to make five times more money. Maybe you just need to start loving yourself, period. You don't have to have a factor of five to make five times more. And I didn't understand this until I started to read books, listen to daily audios, and actually follow people who were doing what I wanted to learn how to do.

Isn't that interesting? A factor of ten. How in the heck is that even possible if I'm one person working a job, had a new baby, my wife still loves me, right? We didn't get divorced because I worked all the time. I didn't.

You know, I worked hard. I'm not going to sell you this crazy, you know, rainbow over the pot of gold thing. No, it was hard work, but it wasn't five times the amount of work. No, I probably work about the same. I work about 40 hours a week, right?

But I've spent over seven days, and I do not have to fight traffic. I'm always working when the kids are asleep or at school, right? And I'm always with my wife. Now, I'm thinking about that. It's like, wow.

What would someone pay to have that, right? The added bonuses of being able to work from home, being able to hang out with my parents, being able to stay with my wife all the time, get foot massages around, you know, whenever I wanted to with her, you know, and just experience life at the tender age of 35, retire at the age of 33, what is that worth? So the thing is, you don't have to have a ton of money to retire. I mean, you just, number one, have to understand, there's a couple things in your life that if you get these things right, you get it flowing, it's not about working five times harder. Number one, learn marketing.

Learn it. Why? Think about it. Do you want to have a business, say a restaurant, and you're the person who runs the finances. You run the hostess stand.

You're also a chef, a busboy, a waiter, a dishwasher. You're also the guy who cuts the laundry outside. You're also the person who washes the windows. You can't do it. And the thing is, some of you are forced to thinking that you can't because you need to learn how to make money as a business owner, especially online.

How do you learn that? Welcome to the Empower Network. Listen to Inner Circle audio every single day. Come on to these, you know, our Monday Empower Hours and definitely just go, look, let's just be serious. It works.

We've had a lot of people make a lot of money. I think we have seven people who made over a million dollars in Empower Network. And the cool thing is we have people on my team who are using what they've learned to help themselves in their business, in their career. I mean, I have a guy who's been hired as an SEO consultant now, because of what he's been learning in Empower Network.

Someone hired him because now he has value. How do you get value? Number one, you learn it. Number two, you apply it. It's not about the knowledge.

It's about the applied knowledge. Okay, so just like in college, it's test time. If you want to make more money, especially in business, learn more business practices. Learn best case scenarios. Learn more about case studies.

Learn more about people who've made money in our business. Learn more about business in general. Learn more about marketing. Where do you learn that? Join the Empower Network for $25.

Now, if you're already in Empower Network, listen to an inner circle audio every single day. But Lawrence, why? When I was in college and in high school and grade school, we went to school every single day except for weekends. Now, if you wanted to like not get spanked or beat as an aging kid, you also had school on weekends. Think about it.

Oh, man, look at that. I remember my dad. He's like, son, look, you're a camp, all right? And we want you to have the best education possible. I know it's summer.

I get it. I know it is. But this summer, you have to read these books and write me a book report. And I'm sorry to give you homework during the summer, and you think the summer is yours. You live under my house.

You're still learning. You don't make any money. You still need to keep your mind sharp. Read these books. Write a book report.

I was like in middle school. I'm like, oh, my goodness. I had to write book reports for my dad. I told you, like, that understanding was you never stop learning. See, my dad wouldn't agree to me.

He's like, look, son, even though the school is out, even though you don't have school on weekends, you still go to Chinese school on Saturday, right? You're still always going to be reading. You're still always going to be educating yourself. You're always going to come with me to work and, like, help me with my business with real estate. You're always going to be learning.

Like, I remember I had a job in the summer. He was teaching me. He was like, look, son, I want you to go work as a maintenance assistant. So at an apartment complex, I would be the guy. You would call the, you know, maintenance at an apartment complex because my toilet seat broke.

I would come over. I'm like, you know, like 16 or 17. I was in high school. And I would come over and fix your toilet. And I remember one time I had to, like, paint a side of a wall.

I had to help this electrician, you know, fix an AC thing. And at the time, I didn't understand, like, Dad, you know, I mean, you know, why are you forcing me to do all these crazy jobs? You know, why? I said, well, son, I want you to feel and understand and acknowledge these are things that you would never want to have when you become my age. As you see, the people you're working with, they're my age doing those jobs.

Do you want to be that person changing toilet seats and fixing plumbing? Is that who you want to be? Now, if you want to do that, I gave you a shot at understanding what that feels like. And that has been with me the whole time that goes, I never want to paint. I've painted so many houses in my summertime, summer jobs, I hated it, right?

I did it. I got paid for it. And my dad's like, do you like painting? I'm like, you know what? I would rather pay someone else to paint.

He's like, I'm glad you understood that. That was my first taste of outsourcing. As a business, you understand what you want to do and you understand what you're good at and you understand the things that you need to learn. A lot of you don't have enough business sense. A lot of you don't know about traffic.

A lot of you don't understand blogging. A lot of you don't understand how to drive traffic and make money and monetize. A lot of you are in a business. A lot of you have clients but don't understand how to get more clients. A lot of you don't understand how to use Facebook, don't understand how to use Pinterest, don't know how to use blogging, don't know how to use keywords, don't know anything about SEO, don't know anything about paid traffic, don't know anything about list management, don't know anything about ads.

This is where we say, welcome to Empower Network. We are glad to have you. If you're new, get with the person who invited you. Ask them for their actual link in their email.

And if you're already in Empower Network, you need to act like this is finals time. You got one week. You got one week to knock out five videos. Can you do it? Of course you can.

It's one week, five videos. Come on, get out of here. Five videos in the core products. Fast Start training. There's five videos.

Lesson number one, easy blog tech with Lawrence Tam. Lesson two, driving peeps, dominating traffic with Vic Streithaus. Lesson three, say what, blog topics with Aaron Rashkin. Lesson four, making money and monetizing with Justin Varengia. Lesson five, get him talking with bio-traffic David Sharp.

Three PDFs you can download to help with you. It's the Say What PDF, blog post checklist, and the blogging blueprint. Look, my name is Lawrence Tam. I was a guy stuck in a job thinking that the only way I could make more money is if I duplicated myself. Basically, either traveling the world, selling stuff, and never seeing my kids, and probably having a really rough marriage at that, or B, finding an alternative method of running a business, getting paid, selling other people's things, becoming an affiliate, making money enough to stay home and retire my wife from accounting and take care of our three kids.

You definitely can do this. Anyone who wants a better future, anyone who is driven, anyone who really wants it bad enough, my friend, you can make this happen. Start with a blog, market daily, go to all of our events. We're going to have an event in Miami.

It's like this week. I am so psyched. Oh, man, and I don't know if we're still selling tickets, but if you're in the area, or if you're within a plane, train, automobile away, I say cut the crap. 2014 is going to be awesome because you start today, not in December. You find a way to get to Miami.

We have workshops. Yes, you heard it, workshops. Most workshops start at $3,000 and up. This is included. The schedule is in the back office.

If you are a guest, this is a customer and affiliate only event. Come ahead and join. Then buy your ticket or ask your sponsor for an extra ticket or whatever and get to Miami. It's this weekend. You're going to have an awesome time with our workshops.

It's a new addition, and it's something that's just going to blow your mind. I'm going to leave it tonight. It's called the fast start training, not the slow start training. You are here to make 2014 go boom. If you do that, learn to blog like we teach you.

Learn how to drive traffic like we teach you. Learn how to love your life like we teach it in a circle for sure. Start there. My name is Lawrence Tam. I look forward to meeting you, shaking your hand, and seeing you walk across the stage with a big old check that just goes, I retired and fired my boss.
