Hi everyone, Chris Record here, and I'm fired up to be your trainer in today's module. So, who's ready to learn some powerful internet marketing strategies that can help you take your business to the next level? Okay, who's ready? I've got a jam-packed session for you today.

So, if I were you, I would break out a notepad, and I would start typing literally as fast as you can. Now, for those of you that have been on a training from me before, you know that I can speak quite fast, okay? So, that's one thing to keep in mind. You also know that I cover a lot of content and a lot of time. We actually got this training started a few minutes late because of technical difficulties, so I'm going to make up for that and stay a few minutes longer.

But what I want to do is today, I want to dive right in, into the nuts and bolts training. I just want to get right into this, okay? So, let's start it all off by giving you an overview of what you can expect to learn right now, okay? Today, I'm going to talk about some specific ways that you can create more traffic, capture more leads, and convert more sales, but I'm going to teach you how to do it for any business. That's right, any business that you want to promote online, any product, any services, any industry, any niche, there's some basic fundamentals, that if you learn them, you can get out there and promote them.

And I'm going to gear my training towards three very specific groups of people today. So, it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm going to break down some nuts and bolts. We're going to make it simple, but yet advanced, and just do my best to give you as much value as possible. Now, due to the technical difficulties, I had to jump on my cell phone here.

So, the signal might go in and out a little bit, okay? Don't worry about that. I've got it recording here on my side. So, we're going to get started. We're going to have a clean audio that we can have if you need to re-listen to the recording, okay?

I just wanted to put that out there. So, let me start off by asking you a few questions. Okay, question number one, do you currently own your own business? Or if I rephrase it, do you have a product or service that you are looking to promote online right now, okay? Now, question number two, are you a detailed personality type, a technical person, who's looking for quality nuts and bolts training?

I mean, the exact specific. I mean, the exact specific of what to do next, and exactly how to do it. Is that you? Would you consider yourself that type of a detailed person, okay? Question number three, do you by chance feel stuck in your business at all?

Do you ever feel like you just need that breakthrough? You need to learn something new that can take your business to the next level. Is that you, okay? Question number four, are you ready to finally make your first dollar online? And then from there, learn how to scale up your business, where sky is the limit.

So instead of just cruising by and just learning more stuff, are you finally ready to take your business to the next level? If the answer to any of those questions was yes, then today's training is definitely for you. My goal today is to teach you the fundamentals of online marketing. We are going to cover some basic internet marketing techniques that can help you out with any business. At the same time, we are going to teach the training simple.

But like I said before, I'm looking to deliver as much value as possible in this training, and we want to do it in the shortest amount of time. That's why I speak fast, and I'll do my best to be clear for as many people that are listening. And another goal I have is to help you get unstuck by taking it way back to the basics, back to the basic foundation of an online marketing business. I want to help you get set up correctly so you can scale up and finally start making the money that you deserve. Either way, I'm excited to get right into the content that I have prepared for you right now.

I've got some notes, and I might even be able to make these notes available a little bit afterwards. It's going to be fun, because I usually don't go from notes. I usually just wing it. So we'll do a little bit of both today. It will be fun.

So again, note taking, note taking. If you haven't already, if you're in front of your computer, pull up in a notepad. If you're in front of a pen and paper, pull it out. Now you don't need to take notes on every single thing that I say, because I speak too fast for that. So what I'm going to do, what I'm going to do is I'll often repeat some of the super important points so you have time to write them down.

And you can always re-listen to this training over and over again until you totally understand it. In fact, I highly recommend that you do that, because repetition is the mother of all learning. Repetition is the mother of all learning. You like how I repeated that? So anyway, here's what I'm going to cover in today's training.

Here's your basic outline. First, we're going to get into, we're going to get into a basic understanding of online marketing. Specifically, we're going to talk about two methods, the do-it-yourself method and the done-for-you method. So you've got DIY, and then you've got DFY. So you've got those two different ways to approach it.

And we're even going to do a little segment here where I'm going to break down and dissect what a custom sales funnel looks like. Now, it's an audio, so don't expect too much out of me. But I love this stuff. I'm passionate about it, so I'm going to share it with you, the sales process, and hopefully inspire you to start making some more money online when you understand it. We're also going to talk about some online marketing fundamentals.

Like I said, we're going to get back to the basics. We're going to talk about the three C's of online marketing. And for those of you that don't know the three C's, write them down right now. Here they go. Create, capture, convert.

Those are the three C's of online marketing. Create, capture, convert. What I want to do is I want to teach you how to create traffic, then how to capture leads, and then how to convert sales. Those are the three C's. So after we go through that overview of those three C's, we're going to have a little bit of fun.

We're going to do a little brainstorming. I'm actually going to share some basic off-the-cuff internet marketing strategies and ideas with you. We're going to talk a little bit about how I manage my day, whether it's spending an hour a day or two, hours a day on online marketing. There's something very specifically that I do in that hour or two, and I'm going to share with you kind of my methodology about figuring out what on earth do I do. If I've only got an hour, exactly what do I do in that hour?

If I've got two hours, exactly what do I do? So hang on for that. That's going to be coming. And then I'll wrap up with my vision for the future of internet marketing. You know, I'm an avid reader.

I love learning. I love studying. And I've sort of got this vision for where I think it's going. I'd love to share that with you. So let's go.

Let's just stop right there. Who's excited about this content that we're going to share today? Like, who's fired up about this? Okay? So before we jump into the nuts and bolts of this training, first let me share a little bit more about my background, a little bit of my journey as an entrepreneur, and now as an internet marketer.

And I think that's important. And like I said in the beginning, my name is Chris Record. And in case you're wondering, yes, that's my real last name, Record, as in for the record, set the record, and record breaker. Okay? I'm a stay-at-home dad, slash internet marketer, slash investor, slash you name it.

I live in Northern California, a little city called Roseville, which is just outside of Sacramento. And I'm 34 years old. I'm happily married. I've got two amazing sons. My youngest son, Raiden, is six months old, and my oldest son, Reston, is two and a half years old.

And a lot of you don't know this, and I've shared it a little bit in Chicago with some people, but I'm also a special needs parent. At two years old, my son, Reston, was actually fully diagnosed with autism. So I look at it as a huge blessing in our lives because it's brought our family together so much closer, and it's given me some serious passion to want to help other people to have more financial abundance so that they can spend more quality time with their families. And I want people to have access to more resources within reach because I want people to live their life to the fullest. And I feel like it's all just sort of been a blessing.

And as you can tell, I'm a big family man, and I absolutely love children. My wife and I are also, for faith, we're also Christians. But we consider ourselves more out-of-the-box Christians. I don't really consider myself religious, perhaps, but we're rather like two people who are on a spiritual journey together. We also believe like in a nonjudgmental society where everyone walks their own path, everyone discovers their own faith and spirituality just as we discovered ours.

Or for some people, no faith or spirituality. And we're totally cool with that. Put it out there. And the reason I even bring up my spirituality in the first place is because for me, it's actually where I pull a lot of my passion from. So I pull a lot of my passion from my own faith, from my spirituality.

I mean, the road to success has not been a pure paved highway. It's been a bumpy road. There's been a lot of obstacles that I've had to overcome that I'm sure you've got to overcome in your life as well. And my faith has really helped me to be able to overcome those obstacles. Look, I'm sure some of you can relate.

I'm sure some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. But let's keep moving. When I'm not hanging out with family and when I'm not working, I'm going to tell you I'm probably out golfing. That's another huge passion of mine. I have to admit I love the challenge of golf.

It's one of those games that keeps you coming back. You just work harder and harder to beat your last score. I'm a very competitive person. And it's also a form of meditation for me. It allows me to stay relaxed and re-energize my mind.

Because internet marketing is a mind game, right? This is a mind game. This is a quick little tip I'll give you. Internet marketing is the inner game of your mind. Because it's technical skills, but it's skills you learn with your brain.

It's not about how much weight you can lift. It's not about physical labor. It's about learning to work smarter rather than working harder. That's internet marketing. And you might put in some long hours, and you may lose a little bit of sleep, but it's not like a physical labor job.

It's very, very different. So for me, I love clearing out my mind as often as possible. And plus, I've got to set the course. I've got to set the course record on at least one golf course to live up to my last name, right? So where does sales come in?

I got my first job in sales back when I was about 18. I've been studying sales fundamentals ever since, whether it's offline or online, whether it's in person or internationally. I just love the sales process. And I also love being a trainer. And here's a tip that's worked for me.

Maybe it'll work for some of you. I actually find that I will learn things better when I know that I have to change my mind. I've got to turn around and teach it to someone else. So if I'm just learning, you know, I'm kind of passive. But if I know I've got to turn around and teach this as a trainer, then what happens is I'm not only learning, but I'm taking notes.

I'm dissecting it. I'm figuring out a way to explain it in a different way. So becoming a trainer has actually helped me to become an even better student. And it's also something that drives me to want to learn more, to experiment more, to share what's working in today's market that's just constantly changing. And I have not had this perfect road to success.

My first success comes back when I was about 21 years old. I got into network marketing. I learned how to give sales presentations. I learned how to speak in front of small audiences. I learned how to recruit and train sales reps.

I learned all of that. I didn't really make much money. I like to joke around and say it was a fun way to make no money back then. But I still consider it a huge success because of the skills that I acquired. See, a lot of people, they don't realize that part of your journey is acquiring skills that are going to help you for a lifetime.

Okay? So several years later, I stumbled into internet marketing. I think I was around 25 years old. And I was so disciplined and so focused. I put in the time.

And that year, I earned six figures online as an affiliate marketer. Okay, that was my first breakthrough year. I realized – that was when I realized it was possible. So if you just – like if you need that – somebody to put that confidence on you, here I was, a guy who was living in like a 200 – or no, 300-square-foot studio. I was just flat broke eating, you know, Top Ramen and coffee.

And I was just this little kid living in the beach city. And, you know, I was living in a granny unit behind a house. And I had to have my mom chip in to get me a laptop. Okay, I didn't really have any money. I didn't really – I was ambitious, but I wasn't quite there yet.

Now, this was back several years ago. And, by the way, income disclaimer, that in no way means that you're going to achieve same results. None of us are the same. We're all different. Who knows what your result is going to be?

Some people have stories where they've made no money in affiliate marketing. Some people have made millions of dollars. Okay, it's just – it's all different. I know what my own results were, and that's just what I'm sharing here. But that was my first sort of – my first real financial success.

So I had learned skills from the first one, but no money. The second one, I had applied those skills and actually made money. And then I got out of that. And guess what? I got into the big leagues.

You know what it was? It was real estate investing. That's where everybody's going to get rich, right? But unfortunately – Okay. Okay.

Okay. I rode that real estate wave like everybody else did, but I just kind of rode it the wrong way, and I ended up losing all my savings. I ended up – I found myself in the worst financial situation I've been in my life as an entrepreneur. And I'm going to be real serious with you here. This is back in about 2006.

Okay. My credit score was in the 400s, couldn't get a loan for life. Okay. I was on the verge of getting evicted from my 1,000-square-foot apartment, and that was a big – I was feeling like I was in the big leagues with 1,000 square feet at the time. But to make matters worse, that's my beginning.

My wife and I were rear-ended in a car accident. That car accident left me with whiplash. Okay. I was unable to drive for – I think it was a full month, and heck, I could barely even get dressed myself. My wife had to dress me.

And just when you – just when you start to think, like, how could it get any better, how could it get any worse, well, get this. We didn't have any money to afford a lawyer, so we had to get a free lawyer, one of those people that works on contingency. Okay. And he was unable to win our – you know, he was unable to win our case for us. Okay.

So what happened was we ended up walking away with no money. We ended up, you know, officially hitting rock bottom. In fact, not only no money, but I lost – we lost our car. That was a total loss. And got close to $5,000 in chiropractic bills that we thought were going to be taken care of.

So, you know, when it was all said and done, I want to tell you, I don't know if anybody can relate, but, you know, we had just hit rock bottom. We had literally hit rock bottom. It was so humbling, I was ready to move back in with my parents. I mean, honestly, there's only one way to sum it up. I was a failure as an entrepreneur.

And all that was going on in my mind right there was that I had to get some sort of day job and just work my way back up. And it was kind of a humiliating. It was kind of a humiliating, slash, painful part of my life. But it was at that exact moment in my life that all of these trials ended up actually being a blessing in disguise. And the Lord works in really weird, mysterious ways, right?

My best friend calls me up, and he shares with me an opportunity where we can make some money selling real estate investment education, okay? He was all into real estate. It was a top-tier product, so I've never done that before. I never sold anything big like that before. So I thought, what?

What the heck? I decided to give entrepreneurship one more chance. What's the worst that can happen? I'm already just going to go in and live with my parents. So what I did was I worked 100 hours per week for the next 30 days.

I was more focused in my life, and I was income-producing activity. That was all I was doing. And I had a fight inside of me. I just was trying to beat the odds, trying to prove it to myself that I didn't need to go back and live with my parents. And guess what?

It paid off. Then, you know, well over $30,000. Almost $30,000. Almost every single month after that. I had finally, like, bounced back.

And at this time, the thing that was different was I was going to leverage Internet marketing. The thing I wanted to be passionate about was I wanted to learn these new strategies. YouTube was coming out. Facebook was coming out. All these things were new and exciting.

I made a commitment I was going to start learning social media. I was going to start learning Internet marketing. I was going to start learning blogging. I knew this was the future. I knew this is what I wanted to do.

And I just started passionately doing it. Now, sometimes I wasted money. Sometimes I made money. But since then, I've been involved in just a variety of different things. I've been involved in working with publicly traded companies, doing high-end consulting, even, you know, writing my own blog posts and building my own email list, okay?

I share this story with you not to go on some super tangent. I share this story with you for one very, very primary reason. It's that I want you to know that inside of my heart, I have a serious passion, a serious passion to help people get started in all walks of life in Internet marketing, to help people make money online, to help people learn real nuts and bolts value. I don't want anybody ever saying that this training doesn't have a mess of value because we're going out of our way to teach you serious, serious skills to help you take your business and your life and your personal development to the next level. And I wanted to share my story because that's where I draw my passion from.

I draw my passion from this idea that I've had a rocky road to success in my journey, and it still is rocky, right? It's not all PG. It's easy and simple, you know, raising a child with autism and having family members passing away, same kind of stuff everybody's dealing with, family members with cancer, having crazy stuff go on in your life. It's unsuspected, and you've got to just keep driving. You've got to keep moving.

So you are my inspiration. You are – if I can touch you, and I don't know who feels like I'm talking specifically to them, but if I can touch you and I can reach you and I can inspire you into taking your business to the next level and making money online, that fulfillment, that's what I think about. That's what I dream about, right? So it's no longer about me, but how many people can I serve and help? And just like the late Zig Ziglar said, if you help enough people get what they want in life, you'll end up getting what you want in life.

So I put a lot of faith and confidence that if I help you, if I help you, that it will end up coming back around to me through the law of reciprocation. That's where I'm at. That's my goal. I learned a long time ago that wisdom comes from two places. Two places, mistakes and mentors.

Today my goal is to offer mentorship to you so you don't have to make some of my same mistakes. So again, if you haven't taken out a pen and paper or a notepad on your computer, I want you to do that right now. And while you're doing that, let me share with you a couple – I've got a couple of three kind of high-level thoughts here on my notepad, three specific things I want you to write down. The first one is this. I want you to write down these words.

Money is just. An idea. Money is just an idea. So often we're held back because of our limited thinking, and for some of us, our scarcity mindset. When you truly believe that money is just an idea, money is no longer going to control you.

You actually control money. And this is going to open a lot of doors for you over the next several years. That's one. I'm going to come back to that, but that's one. The next big thought I want to share with you is this.

Write this down. Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. Now, that's a quote from Henry Ford, okay? Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. Now, you've probably heard that quote before, but what I want you to do is I want you to believe it.

If you open your mind to the possibility that you can become a successful Internet marketer as soon as you learn these strategies, then you're going to be more open to receiving what I'm going to teach you. You're going to eliminate the doubts that you don't know what you're doing. You know, none of us knew what we were doing when we first got started, but if you can remain positive, and abundant, and believe that this is all part of your learning curve, then you won't get disappointed in the process. See, that's extremely important. I could teach you the most detailed things in the world, but some of you, your scarcity mindset is going to come in and say, man, I'm confused.

I don't understand anything. Gosh, I could never do this. And that lack of thinking, it's going to prove to yourself you're right. Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. If you think you can't, you're right.

So the question is, what do you want to be right about? Okay, the last thought I want to leave you with is this. I've got three words printed in big, big, big on my computer right here. The three words I want you to write down are this. Take massive action.

Take massive action. I have made this my mantra. I believe your success depends on it. You see, I can train you all day long, but nothing's ever going to change until you take massive action with what you learn. You can go through all these training modules.

It doesn't matter until you take massive action. You have to learn to execute. That is where money is made. You've got to learn, but you've got to do. Okay?

You can either make money or you can make excuses, but you can't make both at the same time. I highly suggest you develop the habit of taking massive action on a daily basis so you can live life to the fullest. I highly suggest you make it a habit of no longer making excuses, but instead to make money. It's impossible to do both at the same time. You've just got to make a decision.

Okay? All right? You ready? So you're ready to learn how to become an online marketing rock star. Okay, now I'm going to get into some nuts and bolts.

I just literally, I just want to jump into some things. Okay, let's get started. In a nutshell, you've really got two different options to get started in online marketing. Okay? Option number one, you create your own product and service that you sell online.

So that's called do it yourself. That's where you create your own product and service and you sell it online. Option number two, you resell a product or service for somebody else online. That's more of a done for you. Somebody else takes the time and energy.

To create a product or service, you resell it or you market or promote for them. Whether it's in the form of an affiliate or a sales rep or even an employee for a company. Those are really, when you're marketing online, there's a lot of things that fit in between there, you know, but it all comes down when you're making money online, when you're selling online. You're either selling your own stuff or somebody else's. So, you know, you can either do it yourself, you can build your own systems, or you can leverage systems that have already been built for you and then just focus purely on marketing and promotion.

Now, most people start out as affiliates. Why? Because they want to learn the industry first. They want to prove their ability to market and make money online. Once they've proven that ability, once they've proven themselves they can do that, then they consider branching out into their own products and services, you know, such as whatever, coaching, consulting, creating new software, creating new websites, and so on.

This is what I recommend for you, for most people in general, is that you can avoid a lot of the costly mistakes that can happen when you try to do everything yourself, okay? I usually recommend start off. Start off by promoting and marketing an existing system. Learn how to be effective with that. Once you've proven your effectiveness there, you're going to get some credibility.

Once you have credibility, you can take your business to the next level and do all your own custom stuff, okay? But I want to switch it up a little bit on you here today. With that being said, I actually want to start this training by teaching you the do-it-yourself method. I want to share with you more about that process, including what would you do if you had your own products and services and you wanted to market them online. Now, not because...

I think everyone should immediately do that, but rather so you can get a complete understanding of what an effective sales process looks like, like what works. And once you have some basic knowledge, a basic foundation, we can talk about some ideas for creative online marketing campaigns. I mean, just so much cool stuff. I mean, kind of like as you go through some of the higher level training that you got access to, if you start really kind of going through that stuff, it will make more sense if you understand like some basic stuff, okay? So let's...

Let's start by dissecting the do-it-yourself method of selling stuff online. Let's look at the pros and the cons. Okay, on the pros side, I would say that personal branding is probably the biggest benefit of the do-it-yourself method. When you do this properly, you can position yourself as an expert in your industry, and this can help you significantly down the road, okay? You'll notice a lot of gurus do that, a lot of big name people do that.

In fact, how do you know them? Like, how do you know these people? It's because they probably went out. They went out there and focused on some personal branding. Also, sometimes as a reseller, the product you'd like to sell, maybe it doesn't have an effective sales system set up.

It might be necessary for you to actually create one yourself. Maybe you work for a company that is a little bit more archaic, and you see the value of marketing online, but maybe they don't have systems set up. So you might actually have to create one online. That might be the situation you're in. That might be a reason why you want to do it yourself.

Okay, some of the cons. One of the big downsides is that... A coach can often be far more complicated, far more advanced, even technology advanced. It can take more time as well as more money in order to pull it all off. Okay, these are some of the reasons why most people get stuck in just the idea phase.

They never actually launch their own products, but they have a million ideas of their own products. And that's probably an understatement. I mean, creating everything yourself can be quite the workload if you don't have patience and technical skills. And believe me, I've been down both roads. I've actually done both myself.

So while there are pros, there are cons. You have to know that when you're going into anything. If you're going to create a sales funnel, try to create a system, if you don't have experience yet, or if you don't have money and time that you might lose in the process, look, I'm telling you, go out and make some money and prove it first. But still, like I said, I want to teach you this do-it-yourself method. I just want to make sure I put the disclaimer out there.

For some of you, this is probably going to overwhelm you. And that's totally cool because there's a ton of done-for-you systems available out there in today's online marketing world. You don't even have to worry these days. About doing this stuff yourself. So if you get overwhelmed easy, just kick back and listen and have fun with this.

And then after I teach you sort of the do-it-yourself method, I'll show you what to do with the existing systems that your company might provide for you right now. I just want to explain it. I just think this would be fun. So first, let me give you the 30,000-foot view. I'm going to go through this very fast, so don't even bother with notes.

But then I'll dive into each segment if you want to take notes. But first, let's just jump up like we're an eagle soaring in the sky. Let's look down. Let's look down. Let's look down on this from a 30,000-foot view.

In a nutshell, when you create everything yourself, it kind of looks like this. You need to create your own product. Then you need to get your own domain name. You need to get your hosting together. You need to create like a secure order page where people can place orders.

You need to get merchant processing in place to accept credit cards. You've got to set up order tracking. You've got to set up a customer database. You have to get legal stuff in order like disclaimers on the website and a refund policy. And support ticket system for all of your customers.

The list goes on, right? But even when that stuff is in place, that's just the beginning. You still need to create your own custom sales funnel, your own sales videos, as well as all the copy for your sales pages. You've got to set up email autoresponder campaigns. And if you have affiliates marketing, you've got to manage those affiliates and track the commission payouts, all that stuff.

I've been down that road. But even with all that done, we haven't even talked about marketing yet. You need to develop a marketing strategy. You need to figure out how you're going to generate all the traffic. And then you need to constantly tweak things based on the metrics that you get along the way, like what are your opt-in conversions?

What are your sales conversions? What are your customer acquisition costs, customer retention? You've got to figure out the lifetime value of all your customers, and you've got to keep tweaking and changing based on that. Now look, that was a mouthful. I just wanted to give you the 30,000-foot view, and I'm not even sharing with you all of it.

I've been down that road. I've had companies that have paid me and said, hey, can you create a custom sales system for us? And believe me, these are only the handful of the things that I've had to do in that process. So it's interesting. There's probably two reactions to everything I just said.

Actually, it's probably three, right? Because I'm on a cell phone, and I look down, and I have like one bar during that part. So maybe one reaction is like, what the heck did he even just say? Maybe there's a couple other reactions, though. Like some of you, if you did hear it, you might be thinking, like this seems like a headache.

Why would I ever try to create all of that stuff myself when I could just use pre-built systems and pre-built templates? Like why would I ever try to do everything from scratch? That's some of you, right? On the other hand, there's probably some of you that get excited about this process. You'd love the opportunity to build your own online sales systems from scratch.

In fact, isn't that really the truth about do-it-yourself people? I mean, let me ask you a few questions here. Do you change your own oil in your car, or do you take it to a shop? And let someone else change it for you? And if you do take it to a shop, have you ever just sat there and watched how they do it, thinking, I want to learn this so I no longer have to go to the shop and do it?

Or even if you always take it to the shop, did you ever sit there and really learn how to do it so if you didn't have a shop around, you could do it yourself? So the answer to that kind of a question really determines more of, are you somebody who likes pre-built systems where you can just pay people, or are you someone who likes to do it all yourself? Let me change the question. Do you watch... Or do you take it to the car wash?

Some people on a Sunday afternoon, they can't wait, it's beautiful weather out, they'll go and they'll go outside, they'll spend an hour, they'll wash the car. You know, they know they're only saving like $5 or whatever, but they'll do it. It's part of what they like to do. Some people would never do that. Some people will always take it to the car wash.

So some people are do-it-yourself people. Some people are done-for-you people. Like what about on a technical aspect? Some of you are technical, right? Like what if your cell phone broke?

Before taking it into a... Or do you actually try to take it apart and fix it? Or would that scare the bejesus out of you, right? Would that just really scare you if you like... You wouldn't even know where to begin because you might break it more, right?

Some people that are listening right now, you're do-it-yourself people. Some people, you're like, look, where's the closest store? Let me take it in. Let the experts deal with it. That's the same thing with marketing.

There's a thousand examples like this. The bottom line is that some people prefer to use pre-built systems and focus more on marketing and advertising. Other people prefer to do it themselves. And they want to develop and market all this stuff. So you as a business owner, remember, I told you to have a market in any business.

The first thing you have to decide is, am I a do-it-yourself person or am I a done-for-you system? Am I a done-for-you person or a do-it-yourself person? That's one of your first objectives you've got to decide when you're going to market your business online. And one of the easy ways to decide that is the company that you're trying to market. Now, if you have your own little small business and it's 100% you, then you probably maybe...

You either need to be a... You either need to be a do-it-yourself person or you need to hire... Learn enough that you can hire somebody to do it for you. But a lot of you, you work for a company or you're part of a bigger company. So it's pretty easy.

Do they have an existing sales process in place? If so, gosh, just start marketing and promoting that. But if they don't, then hey, create your own sales process as part of that. That's the do-it-yourself approach. So like I said, a thousand examples.

Some cases, you might not even have the choice. In some cases, you know, your company just might be forced upon you. Okay, so like I said, maybe they don't have a sales system, whatever it is. But look, keep in mind, this is just general advice. Let's just keep going through it.

Let's dive a little bit more into that do-it-yourself approach. I told you that I was going to give you the 30,000-foot view. But look, let's have a little bit of fun. Let's talk a little bit about... Let's talk a little bit about the do-it-yourself internet marketing method.

Okay? Let me give you some basic bullet points to take some notes on. Okay, if you're taking notes, here's just some of the things that... Here's some bullet points. You're going to want to, you know, do some more research on and figure out, you know.

You got to... The first one should be your product. That in itself is a whole thing, figuring out what your product's going to be. Okay? Your second thing is going to be your order page, where people are going to be able to place orders from.

You know, the third thing is like your merchant processing. Okay? Or possibly your order tracking. Could go in there too. Customer tracking, stuff like that.

You know, the next bullet point should be, you know, like support. And you could also... This bullet point I have, like support, and legal, and refund policy, and those little technical things that if you're going to do it yourself, the technical aspect, you can't just skip over that. And then, you know, and then beyond that, it's the sales process, the custom sales funnel. Okay?

That should be a bullet point. And then even when you've figured all that out, you've still got to figure out a way to be able to create traffic, capture leads, and convert sales with that system. So your product, your order page, merchant processing, your order tracking, your support, your legal, your refund policy, your sales funnel, and your... You know, your advertising, and marketing, and promotion. These are...

That's basically... I'm just trying to simplify this and get it as simple as possible. That's basically what you're going to do. So I'm going to go over each one of those for just a couple minutes here. And just kind of give you...

I'm just going to expect that there's some people on this call that really are in a situation where you want to promote your own business online and the exact sales system you need is not set up. So... Or you want to make money online with any product. So I told you I was going to teach you that, so let's just kind of dive into that. Okay.

Let's start with the product. So first of all, first, you're going to need to create a product to sell. Hopefully, it's something that creates value in the marketplace. Hopefully, it's something that truly helps people. I got started with digital information products, okay, because they're the easiest to create.

It's digital information. So you're basically creating valuable information to help people, but it's in a digital format which is little to no overhead, okay? An example of that would be like an audio, or a video, or a PDF e-book, or something like that. That's all digital information, okay? Really, just anything...

I like anything that focuses on a product or a service that solves problems for people, something that provides more value to the marketplace. Now, you can also have physical products that get delivered to people, but that's... Just keep in mind, that's going to be, you know, significantly more steps in your process. I'm not really going to cover that right now. So let's say you've got your product thing figured out.

Now, it could be something as simple as creating an outline for a step-by-step system that would help somebody, and then getting on your computer and recording that outline in the marketplace. In audio, and then, you know, you get some sort of like designer to make it look really nice, like a nice CD cover, nice whatever. Or it might be something like a video. You know, you go on, you go and create a channel, you got... Or maybe not even a channel, you just create the video.

Like you have a ScreenFlow tutorial, you know, ScreenFlow or Camtasia, or any of these services that can record your screen, and you can talk over it while you're giving somebody a step-by-step. It can either be a PowerPoint, or it can be, you know, you could literally be screen sharing, or it could be you. If you don't mind being on, being the face of it. But keep in mind, you know, it's got to be good quality content. If people are paying for it, you know, they're expecting something really good that's really going to solve problems.

So you create that. You get it all up and running. Well, you're still going to need an order page. You know, your order page, it's got to be a secure order page where people are able to purchase it online. Okay?

This page should have, you know, it's like, it should have your graphics. It should showcase exactly what people are buying, and have some compelling sales copy, right there on the page. Now, that's not necessarily your sales page. It's your order page. You need a page where they can physically go to buy it.

That's like, if it's an opportunity you're promoting, they've got to be able to join that opportunity. If it's an info product or something, they've got to be able to go and buy it right there. And, you know, in merchant processing, that could be something like partnering up with PayPal, or a third-party service, or setting up a merchant account at your bank. Whatever that is, you've got to have your, you've got to have a way to be able to accept credit cards right there on the site. And keep in mind, merchant processing is one of the most difficult steps when you do this yourself, okay?

Especially if you have an international audience. So don't take that lightly. And you should consider having some software to be able to track your orders, your customers, stuff like that. So, like I said, there's pre-built systems out there that you can look into. But there's also stuff, maybe your company that you're promoting has all this set up.

And in fact, if the company that you're promoting has all this stuff set up, think about how lucky you are that you don't have to go through all of this stuff. You've already, you can just plug and play and promote and make money. That's the kind of stuff I look for. I barely even do this stuff myself. I usually just find good quality existing stuff that I can market online.

I just focus on promotion and marketing and advertising. But, you know, just keep that in mind, you know, order tracking, merchant processing. So as far as customer support, you know, you want to have some way, if people are paying money, they've got to have some way to be able to contact you when they have questions. They might have questions about billing or rebilling. They might have questions about your products, maybe before they buy or after they buy.

They might have questions about a refund. Maybe it's not what they thought it was. You've got to have good support. And good support is essential to keeping your customers happy. Happy customers is going to be essential to the growth of your business.

And also having a refund policy clearly stated. Whether you're giving a refund or not or whatever it is, I mean, this kind of stuff's got to be clearly stated as well as the disclaimers for your site. Usually down at the footer you can look at the disclaimers that are on other sites. That's all stuff that's effective. Don't shortcut those steps at all.

But the big one, the big one, even if you used, even if you had most of that done with some third-party software or something, the big one is still your custom sales funnel. So I just really want to talk about that for a minute. That's like now starting to get fun. The custom sales funnel is pretty fun for those of you that are your do-it-yourself people. So after everything's in place, you want to create a custom sales funnel.

The goal of it is to convert your visitors into buyers. That's the point of your custom sales funnel. See, most people aren't just going to buy your product because you want them to buy it. It's going to take a little persuasion, some sales skills, you've got to find ways to grab their attention. You've got to find ways to point out problems that they are likely facing and then relate to them.

Relate to them that you went through the same problems and then show them how you have created a solution. So it's kind of like here's the pain and then here's the pleasure. This is done through effective sales copy on the page. You've got to have effective sales copy. It could be in the form of video, audio, written, or a combination of all of that.

But a sales funnel, the key to it, a good one, a good sales funnel is found right there in the first word, sales. A good sales funnel sells you. So if you're a do-it-yourself person, you should be bookmarking good sales funnels when you come across them. You should have a whole bookmarked folder full of them because you should be looking and learning and modeling and seeing what draws you in. So let's give you a little background.

Why do they call it a sales funnel in the first place? Like the analogy of a sales funnel, it comes from the idea that the funnel is wide at the top and it's narrow at the bottom. So the top, if you think about a funnel there, the top represents like your potential market for your product. That's going to be pretty wide. These are all the unqualified prospects that you're going to market your product and service to online.

Now they're unqualified. It's a big, huge market. That's why it's a big, wide funnel. As they journey through your sales funnel, like your sales pages, they watch your videos, they read your content, or maybe they're on your list and they receive follow-up emails over time, eventually some of them are going to buy. They become qualified buyers.

And they come through the bottom of your funnel, which is it's much more narrow because that represents actual customers. So that's a general idea of a sales funnel. Over time, as long as you're tracking your metrics in detail, over time, you're going to get an idea for what percentage of visitors at the top are likely to become buyers there once they go through the funnel and pop out the bottom. Some people have that statistic just rock solid, just down. They can tell you, oh, it's 1.36% It's a very good metric that you want to at some point track.

So track all that. That's another big thing. Tracking, tracking, tracking. Now, the reasoning behind this whole sales funnel concept, it comes from this idea. It comes from this pretty standard sales idea, which is, for the most part, an immediate sale is not likely.

Now, I say for the most part. There's going to be some cases where some people are immediate buyers. They see something they like and they immediately buy it. But then there's going to be other cases where they need to buy it. They need more information.

So if you go for the one and done close, here's my information, one and done, you have to buy. Well, you're going to lose a lot of people. But if you create more of a funnel and create more of a drip on them and provide the information in more steps, what happens is it helps to persuade them. It helps to sell them. That's the whole kind of ideal idea there.

It might require multiple exposures to do this. For someone to make a decision, for me to make a decision, for example, I usually require multiple exposures. But then once I make a decision, I'm all in with whatever I do. So your sales funnel should be designed with that in mind. You want to take an unqualified prospect into an educated buyer who's actually ready to become your next customer.

Now, if you're taking notes, here's another good thing to take notes on. A good sales funnel usually starts with at least four pages and it can be as many as 10 or 20 or, I mean, it can go as big as you want. And then there's split testing. It can get crazy. But basically, if I were to dissect it, there's really four main pages that are part of a good sales funnel.

So let's write these down and let's talk a little bit about them. Number one, you've got your lead capture page. That's usually the intro to your funnel. The purpose of this page is going to be to collect their contact information in exchange for something of value that you give them in return. Usually it's some sort of free offer of some type.

Like, you can watch this video for free where I'm going to share this secret of this thing, right? Or you can have this free PDF where I've got outlined these, you know, these solutions. to whatever it is. It's usually some free giveaway in exchange for an opt-in. And it really helps a lot if you tell them that you're going to send it to them.

Actually, tell them you're going to send it to them, which they want to put in a good email because they're going to receive it. Even though you might give it to them on the next page, it could be your first autoresponder that goes out to them. So, number one, first page is like you want to dump them right into a lead capture page. You want to gather that information. That's going to be gold for you down the road.

After they enter in their information, the next page they want to go to is a sales page. Okay, this is where you've got the chance to explain more about your product. Essentially, your goal is to sell them on why they should purchase it right now. Okay, this is done with persuasive copy. This is done with videos.

This is just, you know, you've been on a lot of sales pages probably. You should, you know, some sales pages are very simple. It's nothing but a video and a countdown clock. Okay, and the video does all the selling. Other sales pages are long form with a bunch of written copy or possibly some sales pages are very graphic rich where it's like look at all this or that or all these bonuses.

Whatever it is, there's just a lot of different styles. You know, there's no right or wrong way to do it. And if anybody tells you there's a right or wrong way, I mean, I could show you successful marketers that use all the approaches and make money every single different way. So it's really, if you have a good offer, a good product, a good service, and you've got good marketing, you can make money if you put it all together. Okay, so that's the sales page.

That's the second one. Now, from there, the sales page can be spread out. It can be sales pages which would be a tour. So you could put sales page or pages. But essentially, you want to get them to the point where they buy.

So essentially, there's got to be a buy now button somewhere, right? So you click that. That takes them to your order page. This is that secure page on a secure server with your pricing options for whatever your product is. And this is where you're going to collect their credit card information.

I prefer for these pages to be as simple as possible. Be very, very clear to exactly what they're buying so you avoid questions later. And, you know, be very simplistic. Don't make that page overwhelming. The easier that page is for them to be able to actually buy, the better job you've done.

Okay, that's the order page. Now, I say four because a good funnel usually has a fourth page. A fourth page is after they've ordered, you call it the upsell page. Usually, a good funnel usually has, okay, you've bought. Now there's, you know, actually purchased.

This is your chance to offer them an additional product or service at a good price. They've still got their credit card out. Okay, percentages show that like a good upselling process can significantly increase revenue. Now, it's only going to be a percentage. It's 10 people who will buy who knows how many people will buy this other product, but I've seen percentages as high as 50% and as low as 10%.

It's just different for everybody, but I like the concept of a good upsell page right there. Now, of course, it can get more advanced. Those are just four. I mean, there's going to be some techie people on here that are going, Chris, you know, there could be multiple lead capture pages and multiple sales pages. You could split test everything and there could be a downsell page.

If they don't buy your main product, you could downsell them to a real cheap product. I mean, yeah, there's literally a million things you could do, right? And this is an audio, so what am I going to do? I'm already being probably too technical for an audio. You probably want like a PowerPoint to go along with this.

At the end, maybe I'll post my notes on my blog, probably something like that I'll do, but I really want to just have some fun here with some actual training that anybody can use for any business, okay? So look, there's four pages. Now, after you have those four pages in place or more, you still have something totally separate, which is a follow-up sequence. This is where you're going to follow up with your buyers and your non-buyers. First of all, your buyers are gold.

When people buy products from you, this is gold. This is a very loyal group of people that have bought into the vision of what you're doing as long as they're happy. This is what you want to cultivate, a buyer's list. You want to cultivate a following of buyers. That's just key no matter what your business is.

But also non-buyers because non-buyers are still people who are interested enough for your free offer, but for whatever reason, not ready to buy yet, okay? So, I mean, think about it. Most of the leads that you capture on that first page are not likely to purchase right on the spot, the majority. So it would be wise for you to set up an email autoresponder campaign that follows up with them providing them with value, okay? Examples would be like answering common questions or objections that they might have or giving them additional opportunities to purchase your product or even creating value.

I mean, like think about it. You can go continuously create value for that list over time and maybe now they know you and like you and trust you more from the emails, so now there's a chance for them to actually purchase. Now, with that follow-up method, one thing that I like doing is this. So they've gone through the order process once, right? They went through it, they opted in, they went through the sales page, and they didn't buy.

Well, usually on the first couple emails, I'll send them back through that, right? Because maybe they were just sitting there and they didn't buy because their kids started crying or they didn't buy because they forgot what they were doing and they got sidetracked and ADD and all this stuff, right? So first couple emails, usually I'll send them back through the funnel, okay? They don't have to opt in again, though. I'll skip that page.

I'll send them right back to the sales page, okay? But after that, an effective technique would be to create another sales page. So now you've got your one sales page. Maybe you create it from like a different angle. Maybe it's nothing more than just like a video with a button underneath for them to buy.

Now you send them that video and maybe it's like some cool feature that they're really looking for and then, you know, you tell them, hey, that's part of this product. And they're going, oh, wow, it is. Okay, now I'll buy. Right? So you can have a lot of fun with that.

But that follow-up sequence, fortune is in follow-up. In the internet marketing world, fortune is in the email follow-up. So really want to drive that home and just so everybody understands. So look, again, I'm talking fast. You can listen to the recording.

It's all good. But now that you understand these basic segments, okay, these basic kind of segments of an effective sales funnel, the basic pages and the follow-up system, let's look at the, let's talk about the structure of a sales offer. So the sales offer within your custom sales funnel, right, you've got to figure out exactly what it is that you're selling, how much you're selling it for, and how you're going to position that offer. So there's really a couple styles out there that I've seen. Okay, not pricing.

We'll come to pricing. But there's really two different styles of how to structure the content in the sales funnel. Okay, I'm going to give you two. There's probably 100 more, but I'm going to give you two. Okay, style number one.

And if you're taking notes, just write this first little thing down. It'll be easier. Style number one. You give away how-to training for free. So with style number one, you actually give away like the how-to, like a lot of the how-to for free in hopes to win over a loyal audience.

Now once you've won them over, you sell them like a done-for-you solution, or you sell them additional resources, or you sell them an opportunity. So style number one is where you sort of lead with how-to. Here's how to do this. Here's how to do this. And you sell opportunity or services or additional resources.

Okay, that's the first style I see out there. Now the risk, there's a risk to this one. The risk here that most entrepreneurs face is that when you give away too much information for free, less people are likely to pay for it. Right, let me repeat that. When you give away too much information for free, less people are going to be likely to pay for it.

That's a risk that you may take there. I've seen a lot of people do that, for instance, like social media consultants. Okay, they're like, oh, I'm a social media consultant. So they teach, teach, teach, teach, teach to brand themselves, but then they try to sell their coaching or whatever, and nobody buys. But why does nobody buy?

Because, well, why would I spend money with somebody who, they're going to give me everything for free anyway. Right, so there's a risk there, but that's a style I've seen a lot of people do. The upside to this style is that free training is, it's got more possibility of going viral, okay, much faster, potentially reaching a larger potential market for free, right? Because if something is flat out free, it gets shared around a lot, right, like blog posts get liked and shared and retweeted, videos get viewed and commented and shared and passed on and shared on Facebook, right? When something is free, it often gets passed around naturally, organically, without even affiliates doing it.

So that's the benefit of that style. So an example of an effective sales funnel that uses that style, you can find a lot of those like on YouTube, for example. You find these people who have big YouTube channels or big blogs that are like how-to technical blogs. They provide a ton of free, valuable content on their channel, okay? But it's always linking back to a lead capture page and then a sales page.

And that usually always has some sort of like step-by-step system for sale or some type of coaching or consulting or a product, maybe even a related product. You know, an example would be maybe somebody wants to be an affiliate that sells web hosting, okay? So they go on and they make a series of videos about blogging, teaching blogging. But their upsell is always this web hosting affiliate thing because it's a related service. So they don't mind giving away all this information about blogging because that's not necessarily a product.

They're not necessarily giving away the farm. Their product is this associated service, right? So that's one example. Another example might be like workout videos. You go on YouTube, you see all these like there's these people that are just all buff and they're ripped and they teach you like here's a push-up routine or here's a crunch routine or here's whatever.

You get all sucked in because, you know, they look like models or whatever. But every single one of them is selling like the supplements to go along with that, right? They're selling like here's my fat burner system step-by-step how to, you know, working out is only, you know, one-third of it. The other two-thirds is diet. Here's my complete diet, you know, specifically, right?

So they sell that. They hook you in and then you know them, you like them, you trust them. They've earned your credibility. They've earned credibility and rapport and now you're buying from them. So that's just an example of the whole give away a lot of value for free.

But like I said before, the risk is you're going to get you might give away too much information. to people that would have gladly paid you for it, okay? It's a balance you're going to have to figure out. Style number two. Style number two is if you're taking notes, you focus more on what to do instead of specifically how to do it.

So you focus, with style number two, you focus more on what to do, okay? And then what you do is you create the system, you create the solution like the step-by-step system that shows them exactly how to do it and you sell that. So with style number two, you sell the how-to information, okay? You lead with what to do but then you sell how to do, okay? There's a big difference between teaching somebody what to do and teaching somebody how to do it, okay?

You can create a demand in the marketplace. You can point out a lot of pain. You can explain a lot of that, okay? So with this style, you're more ambiguous up front, more ambiguous, more general. You're focused more on explaining what to do in your interesty and your whatever industry that is.

And actually, your paid product is that how-to information. So some people give it away. Some people charge for it. Most of the bigger online marketers, most of the big internet marketers, okay, they make money with this style, okay? Most of the people that make big, huge money make it this way.

And I have to admit, it's sometimes a lot less effort. It takes a lot of effort to make hundreds and hundreds of how-to videos and blog articles and all that stuff. It takes a lot more effort if you're going to go through that effort. Some people go, hey, I might as well package this and make this the product because I don't want to go through all that effort and give it away for free and people might not buy from me, right? So those are two very different styles.

You either lead with the how-to content or you lead with the what-to-do content, okay? So let me recap. Let me recap. For those of you taking notes, let me recap these two styles here. Style number one is where you're leading with content.

You're leading with how-to content. So I'm going to give you three steps for what that would do in a funnel. Step number one, this is for this first style where you're going to give away all for free. So step number one, share how to do it for free. So you lead by sharing how to do it for free.

Step two, offer done-for-you services as a paid product. Here's a done-for-you solution. That's your paid product. Step number three, offer related services as an upsell. So you've already got somebody buying.

Here's a service to accompany what they just bought, okay? So that's an example of a style where you lead with content. Step one, you share how to do it for free. Step two, you offer done-for-you as a paid product. Step three, you offer related services as an upsell.

So how to do it, done-for-you, related services. That's the first style. Now, like I said, the big money, the big people out there often use style two. So here's style two, leading with sales copy. This is where you lead with sales copy instead of how-to information.

So here's kind of what the three steps look like for this one. Step one, you share what to do for free. Keep in mind I said what to do. You share what to do for free. Step two, offer, offer how-to-do-it-as-a-paid-product.

Okay? Step two, offer how-to-do-it-as-a-paid-product. Step three, offer done-for-you or related services as an upsell. So it's really just two different ways to do the same thing. You've got to decide, do you want to be someone who leads with a bunch of free content or do you want to create all that free content, put it in a password-protected site, okay, and people have got to pay you to be able to access that content.

It goes less viral, but you're making more, you know, hypothetically, you're making more money because you're getting paid for that work. Or do you want to give it away free? It goes more viral, but maybe people are less likely to actually pay you for the content. Really, that's kind of, when I sit in these big internet marketing circles, that's what a lot of people are really deciding these days is how important is this viral factor, this big viral factor out there? Is it really, is this really the big thing?

And if so, you know, what should I do? Now, some people have a combination of both. Some people have, they're selling, they're selling a how-to like library of tutorial videos. You got to pay for it, but they're giving away like some of them for free, right? So there's always some room for both, but those are two styles.

And there's also as a bonus for both methods, you can always upsell additional products to the list that you cultivate. So maybe you're in, as an example, maybe you're in some sort of like health and fitness, like network marketing company or something, right? Maybe you're in like a, you know, some other opportunity or something. You want to resell something, okay? So, you want to recruit people into an opportunity.

Well, you might lead, you might lead with a product, an info product that attracts your target market, okay, as customers for something basic and cheap and easy. And then now that they're customers or leads, on the back end, you might upsell them into whatever your opportunity is, introduce them to your opportunity there. So now you're thinking, now you're putting on your hat, right? You're getting a little bit of creative and you're saying, oh, wow, you know, there's a lot of potential of what I can do here. I can, you know, create a $20, you know, PDF e-book.

I can hook it up to a PayPal. I can do all this custom sales funnel right here and lead people into it. And I can give away something for free and then they pay for this or whatever. And then, and then just for people being leads, then I can market and promote my other business to them, my related business, okay? Or I can market and promote other affiliate opportunities, okay, whatever they are.

So, that's sort of in a nutshell, that's sort of like, I'm, the goal of this call today was I said, hey, you know what? I want to help anybody with any business to be able to promote themselves online. Okay? This, you can fit your business in here somehow with the things that I'm saying, okay? Let me give you another example.

Let's talk about real estate. Let's just say real estate. That's a pretty big industry out there, right? Let's say that you wanted to target real estate professionals as your audience of customer, like real estate agents. You wanted to develop a, you wanted to make money online.

Your target market was real estate professionals, okay? So, let's say that you were able to provide them with training on how to market their business online locally, okay? Here's something that real estate professionals would listen, would like. In fact, I'm sure there's a bunch here on this, on this call. So, so let's, so let me like speak directly to anybody in real estate, okay?

Pretend right now for a second with me. What if I could show you a way to be able to market your business locally, online, to be able to reach more people that are looking to list their homes, be able to reach more people that are looking to sell their homes, be able to reach more people that are looking for loans and looking to get pre-qualified, be able to reach more people that are going to be moving and looking to reach more people that are looking to relocate. What if I could show you as a real estate professional how to be able to reach all of those different people online, locally, in your own backyard? Is that information you'd be interested in, right? So, if I'm a real estate professional, I'm thinking, well, heck yeah, that's exactly what I'm interested in.

Okay, opt in to this page and receive this free thing. Now again, this is hypothetical, okay, because I don't have a page about that, but I'm just saying, I'm going through the motion with you, right? So, they opt in and they get some sort of free report that, that teaches them basically like what to do. Okay, now, the next page they go to is like a sales page with a video and now I'm really teaching like, if you buy my course, I'm going to teach you this, this, this, this, this. You're going to learn it.

I'm drawing emotions. I'm relating to them about the pain. I'm telling them I know how they feel. You know, I'm saying, this is where everybody gets stuck. There's all these other people out there trying to tell it, but it's all probably whatever, you know, BS or whatever it is.

You know, here's why that stuff doesn't work. Here's why, what I'm selling you is the solution. Here's why it works. Here's why I believe it works and then boom, you get down to the price and it's like, oh, that's super affordable. That's awesome, right?

That's kind of how that works and then even if they don't buy right there, I'm dripping on them. Like, my email follow-up sequence to real estate professionals might be something like, you know, like a tip of the day, like a weekly newsletter that's a tip or even a daily tip. You know, little tips. Hey, a quick little tip, you know, here's how to, you know, here's a cool little video tutorial and then I link them to like a little, little video tutorial, it's five minutes and underneath that video tutorial, it's got a little, it's got a little button to take them back to the sales page. So now, I just send them little, little videos, just drip on them with little videos and boom, it takes them back to the sales page.

See, again, you can use this with any business. It doesn't matter if it's real estate, it could be whatever your target market is, okay? So, if you were going to use, let's say, style number one, if you were going to use the style where you lead with education, you lead with how-to and you wanted to attract real estate people, perfect, here you go, here you go. Perhaps this is what I would do. Like, I would create probably like a YouTube channel and a blog and I would fill it with tons of nuts and bolts content, like videos and articles that teach very specific techniques that are going to help out real estate professionals to market their business online.

I want to basically leverage myself, become an expert that teaches real estate people how to market their business online through video and blog posts. My call to action in all my videos and blog posts would be, you know, would link them over to a lead capture page and that's what they can receive that free PDF report. There's some cool strategies in there, whatever. Now, they're in my funnel. My sales page could offer like a done-for-you service, like, here's exactly how to do it or I'll just do it for you for X amount of dollars, okay?

Or I could sell more how-to information, maybe advanced training or whatever it is, okay? Then, you know, when they buy, they choose one of my marketing packages, they pay me and after that, I could upsell them a related service, like a personal branding package. You know, hey, you know, for X amount of money more, I'll give you a Facebook cover photo where you can be professional. I got a template here. I'll give you whatever.

Maybe I have like some guy on Fiverr or something that, you know, builds basic designs or somebody in outsource that builds basic stuff. I could offer like a little package, you know? The ideas are endless, aren't they? Right. That customer is going to receive the digital product, which is like a PDF or an audio or video or whatever, okay, that you can come right to their email or I can have a website that's, you know, password protected that I give them access to, any options there and, in the case, whether they buy or whether they don't buy, it doesn't matter.

I could just be following up with them on email just with tons of value and tons of training and on my signature of every single email, I could become like the done-for-you guy that offers them the done-for-you services or I could like constantly have like a PS line at the bottom of every single email which has some cool call to action for a related service. The ideas are endless. I'm just trying to jog your mind here. I'm trying to brainstorm with you to help you understand that making money online, you're just an idea away. Money is just an idea.

You're just an idea away. Okay, you might be promoting an existing company. That might be what you want to use. You might be an affiliate. You might want to use everything I'm teaching to go, hey, I understand it more now that I understand it but it's too complicated for me to do all that myself.

I love the fact that we've got a built-in system. Like for some of you, you may have a lot more appreciation that experts have done all of this for you. That there's like, some of you are already a part of a situation where all of that was done for you. All you have to do is just plug and play. Wow.

How awesome is that? Because yes, it is complicated but it's the do-it-yourself method. I mean, some people love to set up all this stuff from scratch. Look, if you want more specific details on it, if you're looking for more, if you're the do-it-yourself person and you're looking for more details, go through the rest of the training module, start piecing it together, start bookmarking other sales funnels, start piecing it together but most importantly, if you're going to do it, do it. You know, don't sit there and let it take months.

Don't sit there and be that person that's always formulating an idea but never taking massive action. If you're going to do it, do it, okay? Go out there and promote your business and make money. Finally start making some money online and if you follow my initial advice, it was this. While you're learning all this stuff, you should be plugging into, if there's a way that you could plug into an existing system that's already built for you where all you have to do is just drive traffic to it, that's where you want to get your start.

Prove that you can be successful with that. Learn more about these sales funnels. This is, this is just a high level overview and go from there. And look, if you find yourself confused, okay, there's thousands of people that are listening live right now who knows how many on the recording. If you're confused about anything I've shared, I have good news for you.

Don't worry. Don't worry. I mean, these days there's so many pre-built systems that are already created that you can just plug and play right into. There's so many of them where you don't need to, you know, build everything completely from scratch, okay? It's done for you out there.

And like I said earlier, the real money, the real, real money, it's not made from the system. It's made from effective marketing and promotion. That's where the real money is, effective marketing and promotion, which we're about to talk about. So hopefully the super techie people out there enjoyed some of the stuff that I shared. But look, I got a little bit of time.

So why stop now? I got a couple more bullet points here. You know, why stop? I got a little bit of time and we started a little bit late. So let me just talk to you.

If you got to jump off, you got to jump off. If you want to stay, I'm just going to keep dropping it on you. I'm just going to go for it and hopefully you take notes. I'm going to listen to the recording. So let's talk a little bit now.

Let's transition into more of a game plan for you. Okay, more of a specific game plan. I told you I work an hour or two a day. I'm very specific. I get a lot done.

Let's talk a little bit more about that. So the first thing that you need to understand, okay, the very first thing you need to understand is something called the three C's of online marketing. So pull out your pen and paper. Take notes on this. The three C's of online marketing.

Create, capture, and convert. I told them to you in the beginning, right? What were they? First C is create traffic. The second C is capture leads.

The third C is convert sales. So let's talk a little bit about each one. So creating traffic. Well, where does traffic come from, right? Traffic can come from blog posts, videos, emails, paid advertising.

I mean, really, anywhere that you promote your business, you're advertising and essentially you're driving traffic. Now, some advertising may be completely useless. You may not drive any traffic with it. So I am specifically talking about creating traffic. You want to have some sort of, I use Google Analytics on my blog and on my YouTube videos, stuff like that.

Any chance you can, you want to track where your traffic's coming from and when you find something that works, you want to scale it up and you want to find out what you're good at. But ultimately, the first C is where you're going to get all the eyeballs on your product or service and there's lots and lots of stuff we could do. So I'm going to come back to that in a second. The second C, capture leads. Capture leads.

So where do leads come from? Leads come from email opt-in forms. So maybe if you've got a blog, maybe you have a way for them to opt-in or from a custom sales funnel. We talked about the first page being an opt-in page. That's where leads come from.

But you can get tons of different types of leads. You might have a text message campaign where they opt-in to receive text messages from you. Or you might have a contact form on your website. Okay, you can even hook that right up usually, to your email account and get people opted in. Or even, you know, another good source of leads is social media.

You know, it's not a very specific opt-in, but it's very, very close. Like, if I have a certain amount of fans on my fan page, I can post a message and it's going to reach them. So it's my following. No different than if I have a thousand emails. If I have a thousand people on my list, maybe only 300 of them will actually open my email.

Okay? And out of those, I don't know, maybe only 50 of them will actually click a link. Right? So even though I have a thousand leads, I may only get 50 clicks. So it's really no difference, right?

What if it were just as easy to get 5,000 fans on a fan page and get 50 clicks on every link I promoted? So keep that in mind. These are places to capture leads. That's the second C. And then converting sales, which we talked a lot about already.

Where do customers come from? Where do your customers come from? But, you know, a lot of times your company will provide you with a sales page where they can buy or a sales presentation of some kind. They can come from your own custom sales pages, which we talked about. They can come from, you know, webinars.

You can do webinars to close people, in-person meetings, anything you name it. Now we're talking about online, so I tend to focus a little bit more online here, but sales come from a direct call to action where you're literally telling people to buy and you're presenting them with a way to be able to pay for their product right then and there, whether it's a PayPal order button or merchant processing or whatever it is. So that's where customers come from. So those three Cs, create traffic, capture leads, and convert sales, those summarize pretty much all of internet marketing in a nutshell. So I came up with that a while back when I was doing a consulting and I needed to explain to a company, you know, really internet marketing in a nutshell.

I said, here it is in a nutshell, you know. The three Cs of online marketing, create traffic, capture leads, and convert sales. So I like breaking things down when they're very easy for us to understand. So let's talk, and actually, this doesn't even matter. Whether you do it yourself or it's done for you, it still doesn't matter.

You still need to master these three Cs of online marketing. You still need to, even if you have a custom funnel you built and you're super proud, you still need to drive a bunch of traffic to it. You still need to improve the sales process that people actually buy, right? So it doesn't matter. So because of that, I challenge you to become a master of the three Cs of online marketing.

Become a master of it. So right now, I'm going to get into some super cool nuts and bolts over, really, just how to basically become the master of the three Cs of online marketing. Okay, let's start with this. The first one is this. You've heard me refer to this a lot.

I refer to income-producing activities. What exactly are those? People ask me all the time, Chris, what are your income-producing activities that you focus on all the time? Like, what are they? Just give me a list.

Well, there's a lot that you could do. But here's a very, very cool way to understand this. When you think of income-producing activities, I want you to think of the three Cs of marketing. The three Cs. If you're asking yourself, am I doing an income-producing activity right now?

An easy answer is, am I creating traffic? Am I capturing leads? Am I converting sales? Because those are activities that lead to income. If you're not doing one of the three Cs, it's likely that you are not creating income.

For example, setting up a custom sales funnel, it's a very, very vague gray line there as to whether that's an income-producing activity or not. Now, if you have your own product and that's how you're making your money and that's the only way you're going to make your money, then yeah, you need to set up a custom sales funnel. But that's not really going to be the activity that makes you money. Because the activity that makes you money is going to be creating traffic, capturing leads that are eventually going to convert into sales on that funnel. So don't get it twisted.

If I sat there and made 10 custom sales funnels, I may make zero money. I may just have 10 fancy funnels. Right? So that would be shiny object syndrome. I'm always interested in this shiny object, this new sales funnel, but I never actually make money with the existing ones.

Okay? That's an example. Now, if I was a consultant and I was getting paid to create custom funnels, then boom, that would be my number one income activity would be, you know, building those and selling those. So keep that in mind, the three C's. You know, it's like, what am I doing?

So how do I, so if I have two hours or one hour that every single day that I have dedicated to build my online marketing business, what I'm going to do in that hour, let's just say one hour for now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to sit down and I'm going to look at these three C's and I'm going to develop a game plan from these. I'm going to develop, I'm going to spend one day. Day one, I'm going to spend a game plan on what of these, which one of these C's I'm going to do or all of them, what specific activity in those three C's am I going to do and how, and what does it look like in a week, in a month, in a year? Like, what does it look like? So let's talk about this for a minute.

Let's go to the first C, creating traffic. One of the ways to create traffic is videos. Okay, so maybe I go, hey, I love doing videos. Okay, so what I would do is I would maybe say, all right, I'm not just going to be this kind of person. Oh, I'm just going to start making videos because that's not my style.

Now, I might do it just to break out of my comfort zone. I might do one or two videos just to snap me out of my comfort zone, but I like doing everything with a pure intention. It's got to be a pure intention. What? Exactly what I'm looking to get out of this.

So I don't just make videos to make them. What I would do is I would do something I call working backwards. And if you're taking notes, write that down because working backwards is really the key. So do I want people to just watch videos? No.

What do I actually want people to do? What is the end result I'm looking for that I can work backwards from? Well, I want people to buy stuff, right? Because I want to make enough money that I can do this full time. I can be around my family and I feel like what I'm marketing to them is very worthwhile.

It will help me help them out. But I'm in business. Your number one rule of business is you've got to be able to turn a profit and stay in business. So the number one thing I want to work backwards from is I want somebody to purchase this product. So now I have to think backwards.

Okay. To get them to that sales page, what is it going to take? What am I going to have to do to get them there from the video? So now I'm going to make a video but I want them to go to, but my number one priority is I want them to go to this sales page and buy this product, right? So I've got to look at that as like my bridge.

So imagine there's like a canyon. On one side you have your video. On the other side you have your sales page, your order page. I want there to be a bridge. I want to create a bridge that can take them over there.

So if I just create a video where I'm ranting and raving about my day, okay, it's going to be a very hard bridge to get them over there. Okay. But if that product, for example, that sales page is a product targeted to real estate professionals, my video, my video, better be targeted to real estate professionals. And now I've got a nice bridge. So I might say, okay, the product that they're going to hear about on that sales page is a free PDF that's going to teach them, let's say, 21 ways to market your business locally.

Okay. So let's just go through a hypothetical scenario here. Okay. My sales page, they opt in. They've got to go over there.

They've got to opt in and they're going to get a free PDF. 21 ways that real estate agents can market their business locally. And maybe it's like 21 like unique out-of-the-box ways to market yourself online that nobody else is doing, right? So I create this little free giveaway. They've got to opt in for it.

So now, when I create a video about real estate, I want to create, I want to catch them and I want to drive them to that page. I want to drive them over there with a bridge. It's called bridge marketing. So maybe what I do is I take those 21 ways. You know what I might do?

I might make a video about each way. I might make a video about every single way. So one way might be, you know, like five little cool little things to use Facebook that nobody else knows about, right? So I might go, oh, there's like five cool ways to use Facebook that a real estate agent can market themselves. So that might be video number one.

Five, you know, out-of-the-box ways to use Facebook to market your real estate business. Okay. So it's just like a quick little snapshot and then at the end of it, there's a strong call to action that says this is just one of the 21 different strategies that you're going to learn once you click this link and go here, right? So now I have a direct call to action no matter what it is, whether it's real estate, whether it's affiliate marketing, whether it's blogging, whatever your product or service is on that other side of that bridge, it doesn't matter. You've got to create a bridge over to it and it's easier when you think backwards.

It's easier when you think, okay, what kind of person is going to be pre-qualified to want to buy that? Perfect. This kind of person. Let me make videos to attract people to attract them. So now I make, you know, 21 different videos and each video leads to that lead capture page with a good call to action on it.

Boom. Now I'm in business. Now I'm actually starting to have a strategy. I'm actually starting to have a game plan that will actually work that I can take people there by figuring out a way to create traffic. Now where does this traffic come from?

The traffic comes because when you make a YouTube video, traffic comes from three places, okay? So here's notes for you. When you make a video, you're generating traffic from three places. Number one, YouTube search, okay? YouTube search results, okay?

Well, actually, I'm going to give you more than three right now. I'm going to give you a few, but YouTube search results, okay? Let's just call, on my notes here, I'll give you the notes real quick. Number one is YouTube. Number two is Google.

Number three is social media. But let's talk about each one. It's, you know, basically YouTube, Google, social media, even though Google stands for search engine, but I never really get any traffic from anywhere else for some reason. So YouTube, Google, social media. So when you make a video, it gets listed in YouTube.

So where does it get listed? In search results. So if you keyword optimize your video for whatever your target audience is, you've got a good chance of showing up. It also shows up as related videos. Related videos, right?

So somebody gets done watching one video, and YouTube shows yours as a related one, right? So there's lots of ways you're going to get traffic there, especially over time. I've made videos and then forgot about them, and then a year later looked at the stats, and they had like 20,000 views a year later. Like, what? Where do these views come from?

It just comes from sitting around in the search engine for that long. But why did I say Google? Well, from Google, because YouTube also ranks, the videos in YouTube also show up in Google search results. Have you ever been searching for something in Google and a YouTube video showed up? Right?

There's an example. There's an example. Now, Google is really two cool things, because Google, you can get your blog posts on there and your video. You can double up. So what I use is I'll use like, I'll use like, for instance, like the private video hosting that we use I'll use the private video hosting, okay?

Because I'm obviously an owner of that as well. And I'll embed my video into my blog. So what I'll do is I'll write a blog post, I'll use the private video hosting, and I'll embed that video. Or I'll use the private video hosting for all of my content that I create. So if I'm creating a bunch of, you know, paid how-to videos, I'll use the private video hosting for that, okay?

And just use the YouTube video hosting for marketing. You've got to think like that. This is how you want to be thinking. So I use a combination of it all. So that way, now, boom, I've got something completely different listed.

So you go to Google, you do a search result. One result might be my blog post, which is related with that. Another one might be my video, okay? You see where I'm going with this one? Now the next one is social media.

The next one is social media. What you want to do is you want to share that video around in social media. So you want to make videos and share it with people. And what happens is people, if you make good stuff, people start sharing it. So that's really the three places, Google, YouTube, and social media.

So there's an example. Instead of just, what I'm saying is there's a big difference between people that come to me all the time and go, Chris, I'm getting ready to give up on internet marketing. It's just not working for me. Well, you know, what probably happened, you need to start over with a good foundation. I told you, you need to start over with a proper foundation.

You need to understand what is internet marketing. You need to have a strategy. What is your end result you're going for? Are you going for building a big opt-in list? Right?

Is that what you're going to measure yourself by? Then choose that to measure yourself by. Going by, sales and choose that. But work backwards from there. In order to get X amount of sales, your goal, how many opt-ins do you need?

And you know, think bigger than you probably need. In order to get that many opt-ins, how much traffic do you need to that page? So let's just use like a basic 10% and 10%. Let's say that if you get 1,000 visitors to your sales page, just hypothetically speaking, let's say that 10% of them opt-in. So you have 100 that have opted into your email list for the free information.

Out of those 100 that opt-in and go to the sales page, let's hypothetically say that 10% of them buy. Okay? Now you've got 10 buyers. So you know, if that was your staff, you know you need 1,000 visitors, 1,000 unique visitors to your opt-in page in order to get 10 customers. And it doesn't really matter what your stats are.

What matters is that you know what they are. Because when you know what they are, then you can scale them up and you can figure these things out. So where do those 1,000 visitors come from? Well, they might come from a video campaign or a blogging campaign. You might start up a blog with this information or an email campaign.

You might buy ads on other people's email lists like solo ads or do paid advertising or do Facebook ads or whatever it is. Traffic comes from promotion, marketing and advertising. That's the name of the game. Eyeballs. If you were to start up a restaurant in your local town, okay, what like, if you were going to start up a restaurant right now, if you think you're going to stay in business just because you make the best hamburger and you're going to stay in town, I got news for you.

McDonald's is going to stay in business and you might not, okay? Because they don't even make the best burger. Why does McDonald's stay in business? Because they've got the best system. They've got the best marketing.

They've got the best promotion. They've got the best branding. Right? So this is how you've got to think. If you were going to start up a business, a local business, how are you going to drive eyeballs to your business?

How are you going to get people to walk by it? How are you going to get people to walk in the door? How are you going to get people to know who you are, know where you are? You've got to look at that and you've got to do the same thing online. And that's really what we teach, right?

In all of these training modules, we teach you all of these different advertising strategies, both free and paid advertising. What you've got to do is you've got to start taking those, driving them, and tracking the numbers. So this is Internet Marketing 101, but so many people need to go back to this foundation, back to a simple understanding. Look, I'm speaking, right now, let me just rant for a minute directly to you. You know who I'm talking about, the person, who's feeling stuck.

You know who I'm talking about right now, if you're on and you're feeling like possibly even on the verge of quitting. You know, I'm talking to you right now, if you've been involved in business and you've been trying to succeed as an Internet marketer, but you just haven't even made your first dollar online. I'm talking to you right now, if you feel overwhelmed at learning this new stuff. Okay? I'm talking to you.

And if you feel like I'm talking to me, if you feel like I'm talking directly to you, then just listen up right here. This is for you. Okay? What I want you to do is I want you to go back to the basics. I want you to develop a game plan like a business plan.

I want you to treat this like a business. Schedule out an hour or two a day where you focus purely on income producing activities. I want you to focus on the three C's of marketing and I want you to identify a game plan, a specific game plan that you can do in those three C's of marketing and that you'll do every single day. Every single day or every single day. Five days a week or whatever it is.

And I want you to stay consistent with it and I don't want you to give up in three days. You know? This is a career. This is a, you're getting into online marketing. This is a new industry.

You're transitioning from whatever the industry you were in or still in, transitioning into internet marketing. And once you crack the code, it's amazing. You have a worldwide audience at your disposal and you understand this stuff. But if for some of you it may be a month or six months or a year to really get there, but if you start this journey and you focus on the right things, guess what? You're going to start going the right direction.

And from time to time you're going to need that constant course correction. But it's no different than working out at the gym. If you really wanted to lose 20 pounds, guess what? You could lose 20 pounds but it would require a proper game plan. You would need to focus on nutrition.

You would need to focus on whatever diet it was going to be and you would need to focus on a game plan for, what you're going to do to burn calories every single day. So you would have to have a game plan, a specific game plan and guess what? It would have to be different because whatever you're currently doing has put the 20 pounds on or the 50 pounds or the 100 pounds. So in order to take those off it's going to require a game plan and discipline and focus and it's the same for making money online in any business whatsoever. You've got to work backwards from the end result that you want start back tracing your steps.

How does a customer who's never heard about this yet, how does a prospect go turn into an opt-in, turn into somebody who reads a sales copy, turn into somebody who receives a follow-up, turn into somebody who buys, turns into somebody who's a repeat customer? What causes that? You've got to sit there and think. You've got to develop a game plan, develop a strategy that does exactly that. That's where you're at.

That's where if you're a beginner, I'm talking to you, if you've been in the business, you've been in this industry and you're not making money yet, I'm talking to you. You've got to figure out what that campaign is. And guess what? You might say, well, Chris, I'm doing everything. Well, Chris, I've written 100 blog posts.

Well, Chris, I've contacted a bunch of people on Facebook and nobody's buying my product. Whatever it is, well, guess what? I've got news for you. I could write 100 blog posts right now that get no customers. That's not hard to do.

It's not hard to write 100 blog posts that don't get any customers. That's not hard. I could do that. Okay? It's, it takes more skill to write 100 blog posts that do get customers.

So the point here is that look at what you're doing and go, why am I not getting customers? Why am I not getting opt-ins from this? And look at how you can improve. So instead of just throwing mud on the wall with blog posts, guess what I'm going to do? I'm going to start getting laser focused.

So guess what I'm going to do? My blog posts are now going to have a strategy. They're going to have a strategy for them. My number one focus is going to be my call to action. Moving forward from this point forward, when I do a video, when I do a blog post, no matter what, no matter what it is, it's always, my number one purpose is always going to be the call to action.

Maybe it's at the end of every single video. What it is, I do something of value, create something of value, and then a direct call to action where they can get more information. And that has to be related. Make it related. So if I post about sports, if I write a blog post about sports, and I want somebody to join my affiliate program as a result, or if I want somebody to buy blogging and blog hosting or something, well, I'm going to have Why the heck would they do that if they're just coming in from sports?

I have to realize that, right? Why are they going to do that? So I've got to start to realize I've got to start to have a game plan. I might option A, look, the sports thing's not working. I might just completely scratch that and go, hey, you know what?

Right now I need to focus on making money. So I'm going to take topics. Now that I've proved that I can blog, that sports is my way to learn how to blog. Now that I've proven I can blog, I'm going to start taking topics that are actually like, related to my call to action. It's my call to, one of the calls to action that I use on my personal blog and some articles is a free PDF that says 101 ways to advertise.

Okay, so what I do is I just give it away for free. It's 101 ways to advertise your business and what I do is I can write articles that every single day I could write a blog article or make a video about a new way to advertise. Like, oh, hey, did you know about this service? You know, I'll take a little screen flow video. Oh, check out this service.

It's a very cool service. Here's how you put your ad on there. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then I make the little video and at the end go, hey, by the way, this was just one of 101 ways that I advertised. So visit this URL here or click the link below here and you can actually go and get a free PDF document that'll teach you all 101 ways to advertise.

I highly recommend you pick it up now before that turns into a paid product. Right now, I'll give it away free. It'll probably end up being something that people pay for down the road. Grab it free while it's still available. Boom.

I get a strong call to action. Now, guess what? If somebody watches my video or reads my blog post, the chance of them clicking that and getting the risk-free, 100% free PDF document, which is actually really good value, it's huge. Now, after they get that document, I can put them into a sales page. Do you see what I'm saying here?

Or that document can be my first autoresponder and my second autoresponder can be, you know, some other cool stuff. A lot of people go, oh, well, Chris, you already had experience. No, listen. I'm giving you experience. Wisdom comes from two places, mistakes and mentors.

You're either going to fumble your way through and get to where I'm at or you're going to learn from mentorship. This is mentorship here. This is me taking time away from my family tonight to be on this call with you and this training with you and teaching you a variety of different things to give you just a global understanding and I want to do it so you can market any business. If you are a killer at making recipes and that's your thing, do what I'm teaching you with recipes. Go out there and market your, make a little recipe e-book and give it away for free or get people on your mailing list and every week send them your weekly recipe and then sell them additional, you know, upsell like additional cooking related stuff.

You know, there's affiliate programs out there and stuff like that or sell them an opportunity Hey, how would you like to get paid to blog about your recipes? Hey, join this opportunity or whatever and you can learn how to get paid for doing what you're doing. All I'm saying is if you just blog about recipes, chances are very, very slim that you're going to have much success because it's just throwing mud on the wall but if you actually worked backwards and had a specific strategy, had a call to action in everything you did, you had a specific intent, you figured out exactly what things you were going to do for an hour a day on that business, and what would happen is over time, the opt-ins start to trickle in and when the opt-ins start to trickle in, the sales start to trickle in. When the sales start to trickle in, now you've got a budget for paid advertising. Now you start to turn that trickle into a flow.

Now you start making money, there's credibility, you're enhancing everything. It goes from a trickle to a flow to a flood. Now you're making money. It's trickle flow flood. You know, income disclaimer, right there, right?

Check out the income disclaimer. Not everybody makes that much money doing internet marketing. That just reflects my personal results that I've been able to get. So you look at that and go, what is the difference? How does somebody make six figures from blogging?

How does somebody do that? Well, blogging with intention. You know, an email went out promoting this and it said, you know, hey, this guy made six figures blogging. But you know, if I were to finish that sentence, it would say, this guy made six figures from blogging because he had a very specific game plan and he was very disciplined and he took massive action on a daily basis and it was hard work but it paid off. Right?

That's really, that's really what happened there. This is not a get rich quick training. This is a training about sticking to the basics, understanding how a sales process works. Whether you have to create that process yourself or whether it's already done for you and you can plug into it and now you focus on the three C's of marketing to drive traffic to it. You focus on income producing activities every single day that are disciplined that will get you there.

That is the journey, my friends. That is the journey that we're all on. So whether this was a weird way to present that to you today. I could have presented to you just with a bunch of hype and pumped you up, you know what I mean? Or I could have presented to you with very detailed even though it's an audio.

I chose to go detailed. I chose because, you know what, here's one thing you could always say. Here's one thing you could walk away from this training with. You know what? The training that is provided here is nuts and bolts.

This is content. This is quality. This stuff here, you go, you go attend big massive internet marketing workshops. That's where they have to learn stuff like this. You can have confidence to know there's good stuff here.

People rolling up their sleeves and showing you exactly what to do to be able to create these kind of results for yourself. And that's my goal. My goal is just that you do that. Okay? My goal, look, if there were a different format, I'd sit around and take Q&A even.

I want you to succeed that bad. I want you to succeed that bad. So look, let me wrap up the call with two things. Look, look, look, I love just taking a recap of where we're at. I talked to you about a basic understanding of internet marketing.

We talked about the done-for-you model and the do-it-yourself model. My advice, focus on done-for-you solutions until you're making money. However, for those of you DIY guys and gals out there, guess what? It was a, you had a little bit of a candy shop here. Although it's just an audio, I don't expect that you maybe mastered the do-it-yourself method here, but at least you got a, at least you got a good thorough explanation of effective sales funnels and how they work, right?

So you're in for a little treat there. But for the rest of you that are not do-it-yourself people, I focused on the three C's of marketing. I talked to you about that's where you want to spend your time on those income-producing activities. I poured out from my heart about that's my passion is to help you go out there and make money and do this. So that's where we're at right now.

The three C's of internet marketing, the income, those are income-producing activities, and you want to develop a game plan, develop a specific game plan. What lead capture page are you driving people to? How, how does your blog post or video or social media exposure, or your paid advertising, how does that drive people to that lead capture? And is that your main intention? If I dissect your blog post right now, number one, are they SEO optimized?

Do they use words that are actually, that people are actually searching for? Number two, is there an effective call to action in those? If people were to visit those pages, is there an effective call to action? Is there something very, very strong and very compelling in the article for them to take action on? And if you have those two things, if they're SEO optimized and you have an effective call to action, then let's look at your Google Analytics.

Let's look at your traffic stats. Are they not getting traffic? Well, then there's your, there's your hang up, right? If you're not actually getting traffic to it, then focus on different topics. Focus on, on long tail keywords.

Focus on different strategies. Learn, learn how to write, learn how to promote your blogs better. Learn, learn things like building link popularity or, or, or promoting in social media. I mean, figure out where your hang up is. Figure out where, where your, where your system is clogged.

People come to me and go, man, I'm, I'm not getting any leads. Okay. How much traffic are you doing on your blog? How many, how many views are your videos getting? Oh, look at their channel.

Their video's got 10 views. How the heck are you going to get any leads from that? Right? So you've got to look and go, how can I promote these things more? Right?

How can I get out there? Promotion, promotion, promotion. How can I get out there and do that first C? Create more traffic. Create more eyeballs.

Now, if you've got a lot of eyeballs and you've got a ton of Google visitors, if you have a ton of views and all this kind of stuff, you've got all this kind of stuff, well, guess what? Then we need to start looking at your conversions. How many visitors does it take to get to a blog post before somebody opts in? Right? And maybe everything is just fine.

Maybe this whole time you're worried. Maybe everything's just fine and you're on the right track and the answer is if you just kept doing what you were doing six months from now, you'd be a legend. Right? And maybe you're just confused because things take time and you're expecting results overnight. That might be the case.

But whatever the case is, here's what I know. If you have a good, solid game plan and you focus an hour to a day on the three C's of marketing and you get very, very specific, anything that's not an income-producing activity, do it outside of this time. You get very specific and you do these activities. For me, it was, it was basically connecting with people on Facebook, using the Facebook network, I was reaching out, having conversations with people about their profile. It was very non-spammy.

I was reaching out with them and a lot of customers came that way. Another way was blogging. Actually, my primary way was blogging, okay, which is why I was brought out here even on this training because for me, blogging was something really easy. I could write articles and I could go out there and promote them all over the web. I loved that and I wrote good quality articles that people wanted to comment on that people really enjoyed and, you know, what I would do is I would take those articles and then I would market them out to my friends and I would launch my list.

So if I had a list of a thousand people, I would send my, like, latest article out to them, create something of value, cause them coming back and cause them commenting and, you know, get more opt-ins and more calls to action. Blogging was where I really, really found my niche, where I found my passion, okay? So, but it was very, very disciplined. I just want to make sure you understand that is that my blog posts were designed for a certain audience. If they didn't have a call to action in them, most likely, I was promoting them out to my existing customer base who was already customers and I was just building loyalty and trust with my existing database.

If it did have a hard call to action in it, most likely, I was promoting it out there trying to get it ranked well in search engines and social media, right? Everything was specific. I never just sat down and said, oh, I'm going to write a post because I have to write a post. I said no. So, let me, let me, let me kind of wrap that up on that.

Did you hear what I said? I never just sat down and wrote a blog post or made a video just because I had to do it. Here's what I always did. I always had a specific intention starting with the end in mind. Here's what I'm selling, okay?

So, what is my target market for that? That's who I want to attract with the first C, create traffic. So, if I'm selling a product that is geared towards real estate professionals, then my blog posts are going to be geared towards real estate professionals. That only makes sense. I'm going to find a market and I'm going to target that market and I'm going to deliver them, that would get them to want to click the call to action such as lists.

Lists work incredibly well. You create one piece of content that is like 21 ways to do something and then you create, over the next month, you create 21 blog posts that are each of those individual bullet points. Right? You create like a nice free giveaway. Hey, opt in and you get, and I'll email you 21 ways to do this or whatever and then boom, there you go.

It could be anything about your business. It could be anything. You know? So, you know, 21 ways to do this and you've automatically got 21 blog posts because each of the bullet points, each of the 21 bullet points on that list could be its own blog post, could be its own video and then you SEO optimize that a little bit and go, hey, what are people searching for on this bullet point? Right?

You know, you never want to title a post, you know, something like my day went like this or you don't want to title your post like I had a weird day today. Right? You never want to title it like that. You want to title it you want to title your post like some sort of words that people are searching for that have to do with your target market. Like, if my target market was real estate professionals and I was talking about local marketing and stuff like that, what I would do is I would choose what's one local strategy?

What's one website? Just one that could be used locally. You know, maybe it's something like Craigslist or something and then so one of my blog posts will be, you know, hey, five, you know, five creative ways to market your real estate business on Craigslist or whatever it is, right? I might come up with a better title than that. But there's, instead of going like, you know, the title is like, you know, always the same thing like real estate marketing.

Well, you're not going to get ranked for that. Come up with very more specific things. Even go to Google and type in like, you know, find out what people are searching for, what your target market is searching for, how to, you know, market, how to effectively market real estate properties on Craigslist or something like that. Now I'm going to write this blog post or five, five ways to do that. Now I write this blog post, I got five ways to do that.

Boom. Now I'm going to market that out to real estate people and over time, trickle flow flood. And there's a strong call to action. Hey, this was just one of 21 methods that I used to be able to market real estate locally. If you just opt in, I'll give you all 21 for free.

And then boom, right? Do you get what I'm saying? There's a specific clear cut game plan and if you focus on the three C's of marketing in your hour per day, doing those things. So if I know writing a blog post about those 21 things, so what I'll do is I'll have a list. Here's my 21 things in my giveaway.

Now I know I have 21 blog posts that I can write. So I might write them all on a weekend if that's the kind of way I do business or I might write one a day for 21 days. And there's my strategy. So let's look at that. If that were my strategy, what would I do?

My income producing activities might be something like this. Every day, if I'm going to spend an hour, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to create a quick tutorial video for five minutes or whatever. Create a five minute video. I don't even care if I mess up.

And then what I'll do is I'll export that video to my video hosting service and put it in there and then I'll embed it into a blog post. So now I've got the video marketing. I've got the blog post that's marketing it. So now I've got a blog post and a video and I'll write a blog post. I could do all that in an hour.

And if you can't do that in an hour, just write less and don't worry so much. Jeez, focus more on the hour. Focus less on everything having to be perfect. I'll cut a little tutorial video about one of the 21 things that I already have mapped out and then I'll write the blog post and I've got that mapped and then I'll share it in social media. Okay?

And then if I have an email list of, if I've already been gathering an email list, I'll probably email it out to that list as well. You know, hey, here's a cool new training I just did. Check it out. Now I've got traffic. Traffic is going to my blog post.

Traffic is going to my video. Traffic is eyeballs are being created. Now a certain percentage of them are going to click the call to action, are going to opt in to get the whole 21, you know, things or the 101 things, whatever it is. You see how that works? So, if I come up with 21 ways to do something related to my target niche and I create a little e-book or an audio training, heck, I could even just do an audio just like this and just read them off my notes.

Here's 21 ways. I give people a free two-hour audio that teaches you 21 ways to do blank. Even that's powerful. And then I make 21 different videos and 21 different blog posts. I've got a whole month's worth of work of income-producing activities and then I make sure I promote each one.

I don't just create the content. Then I take the other part of my time promoting it. Blast it out to social media. Do a little pay promotion if I can. Blast it out to whatever other places I can.

Email it out. I'm all about how can I get this blog post seen? How can I get it exposed? Right? There's a specific game plan and I could take what I just shared with you, that cookie-cutter game plan, and we could branch that out into any industry.

I could branch that out into, I don't, whatever it is that you're doing, it would work for what you're doing. Right? Because it's generic. This works for any business. These are foundational internet marketing principles.

Foundational. Right? So for some of you that are better promoters, if you're a better promoter, you don't need as much content. So me, for example, I'm a better promoter. I don't actually need that many blog posts because I could write a few blog posts and spend, I'll spend 10% of my time creating content, 90% of my time promoting the same piece because it's just so effective.

Like if I write a killer article that converts really well, why do I need to spend, you know, why do I need to go write 100 more of those? I could just spend a lot of time promoting that one. If it's effective, so if you're a good promoter, if you're really good at driving traffic, you don't need as much content. Okay? But if you're better at creating content and you're not as good at promoting, then create a massive amount of content because when you create a ton of content, if you go create 200, 300 tutorial videos, 200, 300 blog posts and they're SEO optimized and there's a light promotion on them, over time, it's a long-term strategy but over time, those will all get indexed.

Right? Over time, you'll start to get some trickle flow flood going on there. So that's, that's, everybody, everybody's at a different spot. You've got to determine your strategy. What are you good at?

What's your strategy? What are you going to do in those two hours? And ask yourself, am I doing an internet marketing activity? Is it one of the three C's? Is it an income reducing activity?

If not, then it doesn't count as my hour. Even being on this training right here does not count as your hour of an income reducing activity because right now, you're not creating traffic capture leads or converting sales. You're learning and resetting and acquiring new skills but you're not doing, it's not an income reducing activity so it's great for you to be here doing this training. I appreciate you being here because I took my time but you've got to remember this, if you tell me, if you worked an hour today or two hours today and it was just this, you did not work two hours a day. You did not do that.

You didn't do it. If this was your, if you consider this your two hours of work today, you didn't do any work. You trained. You studied. So you've got to start being real with yourself.

One hour of focused income reducing activity where if you have an accountability partner you can show them what you're doing and show them and they'll tell you if it's looking good or not. Okay, so that being said, looks like I've got about just 10 more minutes here and then I'm done with the call. So with that being said, last thing I want to talk about is the future of internet marketing. The future of internet marketing. Here you go.

This is where I see it. This is in the eyes of Chris Record. Where does Chris Record see the future of internet marketing going? Okay, so I think what's going to happen is there's a lot of spam out there and I think what's going to happen is that spam that's out there is going to, it's just really going to turn off a lot of people and I feel like the people that are going to really rise above the spam are going to be people that are quality, that have something strong to stand on, that have good quality products or good quality training, good quality support, good quality loyalty and what the future is going to be more of is going to be more of customer retention. It's quite easy, we're learning the skills that are quite easy to acquire new customers.

We've got all the slickest internet marketing strategies around, right? So it's all about acquiring customers and it's all about customer retention and it's all about having a good funnel inside of your business that continues to upsell customers so you don't have to go out and reach as many new customers in order to make the same amount of money. Now this is going to come through, I believe, quality. I think what's going to change is things are going to tighten up and there's going to be a lot more quality. The big sites are all going to continue to rise and there's going to be this shuffling out of the smaller sites that are going to be more ineffective.

Kind of like I told you, just Google, there's like 20 other search engines but Google's becoming has become sort of the dominant one. Imagine that same process happening in a lot of other areas online with a lot of the tools online and software services and this and that. So what I believe is going to happen is this big shuffle and I believe these leaders are going to be prevalent and I believe that if you are in position, in the right position to have knowledge, if you are in the right position that you have the knowledge and the skills to be able to capitalize on this big convergence of these big companies that are, these big companies are going to buy up all these little smaller ones. They're just going to become bigger and bigger and bigger and all the different industries online, right, they're just going to gobble up. I mean, look at the real estate industry.

Look at all these small individual sites that provide, you know, listing services and provide marketing services and provide, you know, just you name it, all kinds of different maps and locations and stuff. If you actually look, those are all getting gobbled up and that's just one industry. What's happening is there's like a parent company that's gobbling all those up and they're building more mega brands. The future is more of these mega brands on there. Now, there's still room for the smaller niche markets to survive.

That's always going to be there. But what I believe, you want to talk big? I believe being a, being on the forefront of knowing how to leverage all the big sites, knowing how to leverage the massive audience that's there, I believe that's going to be key. It's going to be learn how to get in front of the largest audience possible with these big massive sites. So, and some of these sites haven't even really, you don't even know about them yet and they're huge.

There's sites, I was reading an article the other day about, about all these sites that none of us even know about that have like, you know, 100,000 members or more of their site or a million members or more. There's going to be this sort of convergence of all of these, these sites are going to start to be bought out. So, these little mini micro, micro niche sites are going to be bought out. They're going to be part of a bigger, a bigger brand. These big companies are going to just acquire them, okay, over and over and over and the big companies are going to grow bigger and the smaller companies are going to kind of get gobbled up.

So, they're still going to exist but they're going to start using the, they're going to start using a very similar structure as the parent company does. So, I have what's called a top-down marketing approach. I look at who all the big, big guys and big, big companies are out there that are buying the smaller ones up and I look at what's happening to the industry. I notice the industry is getting more gamified. I know it's getting more socialized.

I know that the industry is getting more strict. Okay, I know that the industry is getting more, it's sort of this, it's sort of this tightening down of the ship and what happens for internet marketing is that if you're not on the forefront, you could get wiped out. So, what I love about, what I love about is that we are on the forefront. What I love is that we're four or five years ahead of most other internet marketing education out there. So, we're on this forefront and what I see that's going to happen is that as these, as there's this big transition in the industry to this huge socialized aspect, it's going to be a lot more like, like word of mouth works in real life.

It's going to be a lot more social. I mean, imagine, you know, let me give you an example. Like a company like Yelp, right? Here's a company that is, the companies that are on there are fully based off of a rating system. So, if you use that, if you use that tool, what's happening is you're using a tool where you're not going to go to a place that's ranked one star or two stars.

You're going to start by searching for the best five star local places for the service that you're looking for. And that's just an example. You look at these types of this, this social interaction that happens on the internet and this is where it's all going. It's going to that times a hundred. It's going towards that times a hundred because, because the more that people hear about it, the more that they all go, they go to, they flock to these big ones.

So, like Facebook. Facebook's just dominating all over the place. So, what's happening is, I believe, if we get into, if we get in front of that, right? If we get into this, in front of this trend where we're a lot more respectful. I want everybody to be very respectful.

I want, move away from anything that's spam-like. Move away from it. Anything that's spam, it might have worked a couple years ago, but if it's, feels kind of spammy, just move away from it. There's, there's room for good internet marketing strategies. You don't need black hat.

You need clean, professional strategies with longevity. That's what you want. So, if something is, if something is feeling like, like, if you're going against the grain for one of these big services trying to trick them or trying to go around their, their, their, their walls or, you know, trying to breach their system to, you know, market your business and you're like, you're the slick, sneaky person. I believe that there's going to be a changing of the guard. I believe that marketing is going to be weeded out, but the ones who play it right, the ones who deliver good quality content, original content, who actually serve value out there, who create a better value in the marketplace, the people who have good quality, you know, products and services, these are the ones that are going to last.

Even if you're a small, little business owner, maybe you're, maybe you're on this training and you're like, look, I'm just an author of a book and I just wanted to learn how to promote my book better online and I've learned a lot from this, training. Where do I fall in this? Well, if you learn how to promote your book better online through these big sites, through the big, you know, the changing of the guard in Google, Google's going to start shifting out all the results and they're going to start putting up the power, they're going to start putting up the highest quality sites. The sites that use any sort of trickery to get there are going to eventually, through their changes, are going to just get wiped out. The sites that are going to last, Google's getting to the point where the sites that are going to last are going to be good quality content, people that are out there really producing it, people that are out there that are building their business the right way.

That's where you want to be. You want to be that person. You want to be the person, if I were to sum it up, I would say it's like this. You want to be the person that's building your business now from 2015. You should be thinking 2015 right now.

You should not be thinking 2013. You should not be thinking I'm going to give up in a week if this doesn't work. You should be thinking 2015. You should be thinking this is where, where, where, you know, where are these big sites going to be then? How can I put and position myself in front of them?

How can I make sure that the content that I create can last? And one of the big ways is get away from spamming stuff, get away from trying to trick systems, get away from that, get into, you know, just good quality foundational principles. Go back to the basics. If you use quality foundation in whatever you do, you produce good quality stuff. Look, you might still get slapped along the way because internet marketing is still internet marketing.

Can't do anything about that. But look, the more you just play by the rules, the more you just do it with online honesty and integrity and go out there and truly serve value to the marketplace, the marketplace is going to reward you. And I believe that's going to be the true future. Right now, there's so many sneaky tricks that you can get away with. I could sit there and teach you a ton of really sneaky things, but I'm not doing them.

I wouldn't want you to do them. So just because they work and you can make money doesn't mean that they're going to last. What I want to do, what I hope you want to do, is build your business for the long term. Be thinking about $2,000, $1,500. Be thinking two to three years out.

Be thinking, where are the trends going? Where's social media going? Where's the search engines going? Where's the big video sites going? Where are opportunities going?

When people are buying online, what are they doing? Start looking into the future there. Start realizing that if you learn to play by the rules of the big guys and the big sites out there, then you're going to do incredibly well when you play by the rules of the smaller sites. And you're going to have longevity. And I've seen so many people that spend so much time creating massive campaigns and then the whole entire campaign gets shut down or eventually just they lose their results.

What I would hope you do is play with the long term game here. And also, on that note, don't get frustrated. There isn't such a thing as frustration. Frustration, it's like a fake emotion that you choose yourself. When you're sitting here saying, oh, I'm frustrated with this, that's because you've decided that you're going to play a short term game and if you don't get over 90% if you don't get rich quick overnight or get instant results overnight, you're going to be upset.

When I first started, I made a commitment like, look, I'm going to go out to think for 12 months with a consistent effort an hour a day, five days a week for 12 months. That was it. No more than 10 hours a week. I didn't have it. I didn't have the time.

I had a full time gig I was doing. So I just made a decision, look, it's a year. Now, because I made that decision, I never once got frustrated during that journey. I never got frustrated. I didn't care if something went right or wrong.

It didn't matter. It was all just a learning experience. I committed for a year. And I committed to consistent actions. I didn't just commit to stay doing this for a year.

No, I committed to consistent actions. If I contacted X amount of people per day on Facebook using a proper approach over the course of a year, how many people would that be? If I wrote a blog post every day, five days a week or even two a day every day, five days a week for the course of a year, how many would that be? If I made videos every day, how many would that be? I've got this long term game in mind.

Well, guess what? I'm playing big numbers. And a year will go past and everybody will go, oh, Chris is successful because, well, yeah, he's got hundreds of videos and thousands of blog posts and all this experience and blah, blah, blah. How do you think I got it? Do you think it just magically appeared?

No, I didn't give up. And that's the only difference. I'm just like you. My life is just as tough. We all have our own set of circumstances.

But I can make excuses or I can make money. I couldn't make both at the same time so I decided to stop making excuses, start making money. I decided to start taking ownership of my own stuff. I don't blame anybody else. I don't blame any sort of mentor for not helping me.

I don't blame any sort of company for not having the perfect tools. I just go create it. If I don't have it, I don't see it, I just go create it. I decided I was going to be a successful internet marketer and nobody's going to stop me from becoming a successful internet marketer. So when are you going to just make the decision that you're going to become a successful internet marketer?

You're going to become a successful internet marketer and nobody's going to stop you and you're not dependent on anybody else to get you there. The ball is in your hands and you can either run with it and be successful or you can drop it and quit and bail out and talk about how hard it was. The ball is in your hands. So today, my time's up, today I wanted to give you some technical training. I knew that some people would be overwhelmed, some people would be lost but I was okay with that.

The reason I was okay with it is because if that's you and you were lost and overwhelmed, you might know some people that would have benefited from this. That makes it worth it and you might be ready for this a month from now or two months from now so you can come back and listen to it when you're ready. Know that this kind of training is here for you and this is just audio. Wait until you get into the webinars. Wait until you upgrade into the other training.

Wait until you see how much power there is. This is just a snapshot of the crazy amount of high quality education that's now at your fingertips to help you take your business to the next level.
