Hey what's going on guys? Paul CQ here and of course I'm bringing to you another inner circle audio okay. Today we're going to be talking about why average is a failing formula right. You know one of the things I want to share with you is I kind of wanted to just have you guys understand where I came from right. I actually came here when I was five years old right.

I came from South America from Peru to America obviously right and one of the things that immediately that I did is I compromised who I was so I can fit in with everyone else. Have you ever done that before right? That was basically the day that I basically decided to profess that I was gonna be average right and it took me several years. I mean it took me all the way up till I was 19 years old before I realized that the path that I was walking on or the path that I was on was gonna lead me nowhere. It was gonna lead me to just a massive failure and so much pain and when I was five years old one of the things that I did was I compromised my name right.

My name is Paulo right but back in the day I used to have people call me Paul because when I first came to this country it's almost like the people couldn't pronounce my name because it's not like it's it's not Pablo it's Paulo right it's P-A-U-L-O and to avoid embarrassment and to avoid people making fun of me and people messing up my name and you know just kind of getting on me I immediately settled for less. I settled and I decided to be like everyone else which was average. Not realizing that this small decision that I made was really gonna affect everything and just my entire being and who I was you know for several years later on I began to start compromising so many different things my character who I was and what I wanted to do in life right and because of it I really just became an average person I became somebody who just went with the crowd right just went with where everyone else was going well if 95% of people are doing this then it has to be right and it wasn't until it wasn't until several things actually happened in my life that honestly I really believe were intentional I think they had to happen in order for me to break out from this state of mind of just being average right when I was 19 years old I decided to do something different I decided that I wanted to pick up martial arts because I wanted to learn how to fight I wanted to learn also how to be more confident right not realizing that what I was getting myself involved in would actually lead into so many different opportunities at the time what I was doing is I was getting back I was I was getting back what belonged to me right I was going back and grabbing my identity right grabbing who I was I had lost my uniqueness to myself right because for so many years I've been following the crowd and have been like everyone else that I lost who I was I lost touch with that person that made me right and maybe some of you guys might feel like that right or maybe some of you guys can understand exactly what I'm talking about right when all of a sudden you realize that what you've been doing is not who you are and you kind of lose touch with who you truly are and you try to do anything in your power to try to regain and just understand who you used to be because who you used to be was more powerful right and that's what I did I started taking martial arts classes I started learning and that's where actually where I met my wife believe it or not I know some of you guys may or may not know this but I actually met my wife she was actually my sensei and I wanted to learn how to fight and you know the moment that she kind of looked at me she said what's up you know what do you want to do I was there well I want to learn how to fight and she's a great well I'm gonna teach you and I was like you're gonna teach me and she's like yeah I'm gonna teach you right and immediately you know I didn't know if this was gonna be the right thing for me because I didn't I didn't think you know you know forgive me but have you know now I do know but I almost felt like you know a woman's gonna teach me how to fight how's this gonna really work is am I really gonna be a good fighter and you know what that was just the wrong thinking to begin with first of all cuz she can she can kick my butt I mean she's she's an amazing fighter she's a great instructor but going back to the story that really began my journey to regaining and getting back who I used to be you know in the martial arts I learned a lot of a lot of a lot of things about myself and you know who I was and what I can do and the potential that I have right and you know martial arts and just fighting in essence is a great way to describe how sometimes you know we are you know how sometimes business can be for a lot of us when we first get started which is we can be afraid of it right it can be painful it can hurt right but at the end of the day what I walked away from the martial arts was I learned several skill sets that are responsible for some of the success that I now have but most importantly I really understood who I was I got my uniqueness back right I really believe it was you know whether you believe in God or not for me personally you know I'm a spiritual person and I believe in God and I believe that I was better I was able to get a piece of myself back right and eventually turned into everything that really mattered for me right it I gained back who I used to be and the reason why average is such a failing formula is because I was average for it for basically my entire life and it's just now that I have recently woken up to the fact that average mediocrity is just a failing formula it doesn't ever get me it doesn't ever give you the joy that you truly want it doesn't allow you to do that your own type of thinking right because think about it how much thinking can you do of your own when you're constantly just thinking of what everyone else is thinking because you're trying to be average right it's almost like the moment that you think outside the box it's almost it's almost like you're penalized you're punished and you're looked at as a weirdo because you're thinking differently than everyone else right and at 19 years old that's kind of what happened I started to think differently I started to think for myself and because of it I got criticized I got put down I got told so many different things that were totally not true by the people with my own last name right and maybe some of you guys can relate and you know that's what I had to go through well or a piece of what I had to go through but it was the best realization ever because the moment I realized that average is failing formula I realized that I had to do something about it I had to take responsibility and I had to begin to start creating the life that I truly wanted the life that I truly desired not the one that someone had made for me already not the one where you know where it's just like everyone else's I wanted to create something differently for myself because I do believe that we're all unique and if we're all made different and we're all special then it means that we should all have the life that we truly want we should all really be doing what we believe is our calling or a purpose and that's what I started doing I started doing some of those things but most importantly the reason why I say average is a failing formula is because there's like four degrees of action right and the first action is doing absolutely nothing and a lot of these people who do absolutely nothing always get in trouble they never get what they want and they're always going to be in trouble because at the end of the day if you're not putting an effort towards doing anything I mean you're not gonna get anything in return right which means you're not you're not gonna have a prosperous life you're not gonna impact people and nothing's really gonna happen for you in your business the second degree of action is retreating right and these are the people who basically they take a challenge the moment that they realize it's hard they just start to back out and you know like myself I was also operating in both of these levels in the very beginning of my life you know I was I was never I was never knew I was doing nothing at one point but then I started to take challenges but then I would retreat every time the challenge would get hard I would pull back right and this these two type of actions right never get you anywhere I mean they're just not gonna get you nowhere right but the third action which is doing average effort doing an average just being average really is it's what everyone aims for right it's kind of like the target that everyone has just you know go to college or you know just get it just get a career and you know just live life average right it's almost like this is a target that everyone hits but the truth is you know why stop there why not go for the fourth action which is taking massive action right we something happens when you start taking massive action right something beautiful happens when you start doing whatever it takes inside of your business it's like this whole world just begins to shift inside of you and you begin to start seeing you just begin to start looking at the world from a different perspective from a different lens should I say right and when you start looking at it from a different lens all of a sudden you begin to realize that how you how you've been looking at the world has been completely not true right has not been the way that you should have been looking at it right and because of it you begin to start realizing and you start saying to yourself that you know this is just a lot better than how I used to live right and the reason why average is a failing formula is because a lot of people who are average are living paycheck to paycheck a lot of people who are average you know are literally one tragedy away from everything just going wrong so the moment that I realized that average was a failing formula I realized that I had to take responsibility for my family and I had to do whatever it takes you know and one of the things that I try to do one of the models that I live by is you know live every day as if it was your last so when your last day comes you'll be ready you know because I really believe in that I really believe that if you live as if it was your last day every single day you get in you and you basically took every moment as an opportunity to either learn something new for yourself an opportunity to help others an opportunity to explode your business why not go ahead and do it you know even as I'm shooting these audios I'm also understanding that I'm also understanding that not only is this to impact people not only is this to impart in people not only is this to inspire people but also in the process of me doing this I'm also taking away more information I'm learning more about myself I'm learning how to communicate better you know there's so many opportunities just in everything that you do that if you just begin to start looking at the difference between you know living an average life and living in a just an extraordinary life you know you start to realize that there's a big difference and you know there's it there just comes more enjoyment out of one area than it does the other you know I just can't stop saying enough of how grateful I am to finally have woken up right because for such a long time I lived an average life and you know a lot of people live their entire lives this way and it's not till the very end that they realize that they could have done more they could have been out there they should have taken more risk they should have taken more chances right they should have been out there more and do you really want to wait till you're you know till the very end for you to realize these things because it's gonna be painful to you would you rather just start acting on these things right now I mean what do you honestly have to lose I'm not telling you to go in crazy in the head and do something that's ridiculous but what I am saying is just don't settle for average is never gonna give you truly what you want average is never gonna give you the life that you truly desire average is not gonna give you the finances that you want average is not gonna give you the experiences that you truly want with your family and friends right average is never going to be enough for you because you know what we're just the way we've been created is to constantly progress in life and you see average people they normally stay at where they're at right because they take they always take out minimal effort they take average action right which always portrays the same reality for them right but you can be different right we have been made to not just be restricted and be average we have been made to constantly grow constantly progress right it's the reason why we have the ability to learn new things every single time if we just expose yourself to it right it's a reason why there's really an unlimited amount of information that we can learn and we can become something from it we can learn we can master a skill set right we have been always programmed to constantly grow I mean we've been caught you know why settle for a certain level in life why settle for a certain skill set right oh well why stop now why stop you're learning now when you can go for more why stop making the money that you're currently making when you can go for more why you know just take a couple of vacations every year when you can go for more right I mean I mean it's just unlimited in the potential that you can do you know and I think the biggest wake-up wake-up call for me was when I was 19 years old you know I realized I realized a couple of things right I realized that you know I knew that I had to do something for myself I knew that you know maybe if you're listening to this maybe since you were a kid you've been always thinking this way that you were meant for bigger things you were meant for you know special things that you know that you were ordained for greatness you know and as a kid I always kind of thought that way as well but I just never understood it or even thought it was possible because of my upbringing because of the people that I was surrounded around right because of the people's thinking I never really saw life more than just working a nine-to-five or you know just doing this and then coming home and just eating dinner and then going back at it again and just and then having going out on the weekends I honestly thought that's how life was right and sometimes when we're growing up as kids right or when we're just you know when we're growing up it's almost like anything that we're told we believe it to be a fact and truth right and some of the things are true but some most of the things that were taught are based off somebody else telling them that and they believed it as truth and now they're passing it down and that's kind of how a general like I guess you can say a generational curse I don't know right or that's kind of how poverty continues in someone's family but I knew that the moment I woke up I immediately said to myself that I was gonna be the filter that was gonna stop poverty in my family I didn't want poverty right I wanted to break poverty's chains right I didn't want I didn't want people to continue in my family to continue to hold up you know hold up the cross and walk all the way up to the mountains right you know holding this heavy cross I wanted I wanted them to lay down the cross right and just you know just freely be able to go anywhere without having to crawl without having to carry a burden on their back you know and you know slowly but surely I begin to realize that everything that I was doing in my life even when I decided to wake up I knew I could always do more and the reason why is because look listen let's take a look at something right for a second you know average amount of you know when you when you just take an average action it's only gonna result average in minimal you know at best an average life right but why leave anything up to chance you know why leave anything up to chance you know when I went to the 10x seminar a while back with my wife we learned something powerful that you know a lot of people don't plan for their futures or parents don't plan for our futures right sometimes we can't plan for tragedy just that just happened in our life right sometimes we can't sometimes things you know people move our cheese right our life you know things just get moved and when it does you know if you're if you're taking average amount of action it's really not gonna cover or it's not gonna be enough to be able to resolve any problems that come so me my wife have decided to take this into a different type of thinking where we have to do whatever it takes for when tragedy does hit or something bad does happen we're okay and if something doesn't happen then we're fine right we can sleep at peace every night right I really believe it's a it's your responsibility to go out there and do something more than just average I mean when I first got started you know I remember a lot of people calling me irresponsible but I mean you know I can understand where that came from but I also can understand I also didn't understand why it was an irresponsible thing to go after my vision it was an irresponsible thing to go over my I'll go after my dream it was a responsible to do to have a whatever-it-takes mentality it was it was irresponsible to be obsessed with something right and really I was just obsessed with just loving my dreams right being able to do more than what the average person is able to do or more than what I would have been able to do had I remained average right I never understood it I mean I really honestly thought that I was being responsible because I was going for more than the average what the average people were going you know and the truth is that when people tell you that you're being irresponsible because you're going after your dreams the truth is that they have no business you know in your business right because the truth is that while they're talking about that what are they doing about their life what are they doing with their life you know a lot of people will try to criticize you and bring you down when you're doing something special when you're doing something outside the norm the moment that you start doing something differently you're gonna be a target for people to just you know talk about blame you know just make fun of right you're gonna be a target are you okay with being a target right because anything great in life you can never get under the radar I mean if you really are looking for something magnificent to happen to your life it's not gonna happen by you being under the radar it's gonna it's gonna have to happen by you being on top right you're gonna have to be a target you know now you're gonna be a target for a lot of haters which is cool but you're also gonna be a star a shining star that leads the way to success for other people right you're also gonna be somebody people can look up to and be inspired and people can honestly can look at you and say you know what it's worth it's worth breaking out of this average life and going after for more if that guy did it I could certainly do it if that gal did it I can certainly do it right so you serve as an inspiration aside from just being a target for people to make you fun of you right but with the great things in life you know there's always gonna be a price that you have to pay whether it's monetarily or just in your time or just in some of the some of the things that you're gonna have to endure right you have to be willing to pay the price you know and at every level there's always a price that you have to pay at every level there's going to be sacrifices that you need to make and there's going to be things that you're gonna have to continue it's gonna be a continuous thing that you're gonna have to put yourself through in order to get to the next level so I mean I'm pumped up and I'm excited you know I've been ranting here for a couple of minutes now but just think about this for a second and tragedy were to hit your business right now or hit your life if life threw something at you just that was just unexpected would you be able to handle it would you be okay would it really shake you up because if it does shake you up and if you wouldn't be okay it just goes to show that the action you've been taking is not enough right and you have to go and take more action you have to be willing to take more action you know I've never heard anyone get in trouble for taking massive quantities of action but you will always get in trouble for taking little action you always will right and I mean all of the fourth degree of actions you know doing nothing retreating taking average action and taking massive quantities of action all of them honestly require the same amount of effort I mean to have an average marriage it requires just about the same amount of effort to have an outstanding marriage to have an average business to have an outstanding business it requires the same amount of average it requires the same amount of effort so why not go for more right you know think about it you know somebody who does nothing not getting up you know when the alarm clock rings and not getting up from bed and going out and taking action it requires energy think about it you know you having to constantly shut the alarm off you constantly have to having to go back to sleep you know it's like it requires action everything you do requires action which means that if you do absolutely nothing it's not like nothing comes out of it there's always going to be result whether you do something or you don't and the result is either going to be you living the life that you truly want or you living a life of mediocrity right and sometimes we look at average as like oh well it's not bad because at least it's not you know it's not a really bad life but the truth is that average has is getting to that point I mean should I say it's gotten to that point you know average is not going to be conducive to even living an average life really I mean when you think about taking action, it's really not going to bring you what you truly want, and it's actually going to put you and your family at risk. It always will, you know, because if something bad were to happen, are you honestly prepared, right? And if you're not, it's something you need to change immediately, because average is a failing formula, right?
