Hey, I'm pumped up. I'm excited that you're here. Thank you for wanting to join me today on this special day, right? Well, we're going to be talking about something called the bucket list, okay?
Now, this is really important. When I figured this out, it has really, really done a lot of things for me and my business, right? For me and my wife's business, right? So, the bucket list, let's talk a little bit about it, right? You know, my mother-in-law, actually, which is my wife's mom, right, has this machine where she extracts like fruits and vegetables, right?
And as she's extracting the fruits and vegetables, it basically allows, it kind of like removes and takes up all the good stuff, like the nutrients and all that good stuff, right? And then it has another separate basket where it kind of gets rid of the skin and all the stuff that's not really necessary for your body to intake or doesn't really do any good for it, right? And it puts it in a bucket. It puts it like in a waste bucket, right? And that's really what I want to share with you today.
I want to share with you how this more. Now, what is the bucket really going to do for you and what's the purpose of the bucket? Well, the bucket is basically going to help your open rates, it's going to increase your click-through rates, and it has to do with email marketing, okay? This is specifically on email marketing, what I'm going to share with you, okay? When I applied it, my open rates increased literally from 5% to something that's very crucial for your business because you're basically, it's how you connect with your prospects.
You can send them offers, you can send them your business opportunity, you can connect with them, you can stay connected with them. What I realized is, number one, I started seeing my numbers get bigger and bigger. So I was like, wow, this is really interesting. This is cool. Oh my God, I have 5,000 subscribers.
Oh my God, I have 6,000. Oh my God, I don't need it anymore, right? Which means that I started getting a lot of people disengaging, people who are not participating, people who didn't want to, who didn't really want to do anything with me anymore. We're not opening up our emails. Now, I started to realize this, but I didn't know what the bucket was really starting to affect my delivery services, and if there's something that's going to affect it, why not remove it, right?
So when I learned this, I realized that I can literally check in my autoresponder. It doesn't matter if you have, you know, whatever auto you're currently using, it doesn't matter if you have contact support, they'll be able to guide you through it, okay? So you can literally track and see how many people and place them in a separate list called the bucket, right? And these are the people who are no longer engaged with you, okay? So it's kind of like you're shaving the people who are probably not going to buy from you, who don't want to hear from you, who think you're not cool, all right, and you're putting them in a list, and then you're just specifically focusing on the people who want to do business with you, okay?
Now this is important because, I mean, once you remove the people who are not interested in you, you can really just focus on the people who are interested in you, who are going to open up the emails, and who are going to do it, right? Now this is really important because, of course, you want people to open up your email, and if there's anything that's going to affect them from seeing your email, it's really not fair that because a couple of people are not interested in you, it affects the overall, you know, being. It affects everyone else. So instead of affecting everyone else, just get rid of the ones who are just not engaging, okay? And if you do that, you're going to see true and real stats in your business, and you're going to start seeing your open rates go higher because, of course, now you're just going to be dealing with people who are actually still interested in your business, right?
And you're going to be able to monitor it, right, a lot better than if you just decided to do it randomly, okay? Now I learned this several, I mean, it took me a while to learn this, so if you can really understand this, it's going to do a lot of things for your business. Number one, it's just going to help you read your stats a lot better. Number two, it's going to boost your deliverability versus affecting it. Number three, another thing that's also, what it's also going to do, it's also going to help you gear in and focus on the true number of people who are interested, right?
Because even though I did have a lot of subscribers, well, not a whole lot, but the truth was, I had even less people who were interested, right? And it kind of allowed me, it allows you to see the true number inside of your business, which is a lot better than just kind of having this big old number and you feeling happy and excited because you have a number of subscribers, but the reality is that not all of them are seeing your stuff, not all of them are interested in your stuff, not all of them want to do business with you, right? So why not get rid of them and just focus on the ones that matter? I mean, it makes a lot more sense, doesn't it? All right, so what do you do with the people who are in the bucket?
Well, very simple, the people who are in the bucket, right, are people who you have to get back into your subscription list, right? It's kind of like you have to get them to re-engage with your stuff. So some of the stuff that you should be giving out to that list specifically is re-engagement series, right? Giving them value, giving them a free PDF, giving them a free audio, giving them some type of form of gift where it grabs their attention again and it kind of gets them interested in what you have to offer again, right? Because when you do this, it's a lot better than just sending them your offer over and over and over and over and they're like, I'm clearly not interested in it, dude, this is a reason why I don't open your emails.
But if you start giving more than what they've been receiving in the past and you start doing it in a cool kind of way, it increases your chances for that subscriber to re-engage back into what you're doing and what you're currently up to, right? So that's really, really important. Yes, I mean, so you start to get it, it's starting to make a lot more sense to you because if it is, then the bucket is going to be, it's going to be such a useful way to just segmentize your list from the people who are not interested, from the people who are highly interested in your business and what you have to offer, right? So I mean, it's not very complicated, it's very simple to do and if you have any problems, again, just contact the autoresponder that you're actually with and they'll help you do this and help you, just walk you through being able to do this, all right? It's quite simple, all right?
So this is interesting, this is powerful and of course, I hope you're getting a lot of value from this. So let's quickly just summarize this really fast, okay? So far, the bucket list is basically people who are not interested in you and just basically segmentizing your list from people who are, from people who are not, right? And it's going to allow you to truly see the stats and the numbers of the people who are actually engaging with your stuff versus having numbers that are not necessarily true. And the last one, of course, is it allows you to land on people's inboxes more often than not now that you're getting a higher engagement and obviously, they can see that, okay?
So really important stuff. Now when I got started, one of the biggest mistakes that I did is that I did not email my list every single day. Now why should you email your list every single day? Why shouldn't you? It's the best way to get, stay connected with your list, right?
So stay connected with your list, email them, right? Message them, right? Get in contact with them, right? Do whatever you can so you can do it, right? Because it's important, of course, to really be able to stay connected with your list and of course, you know, so you don't become a stranger, right?
So they can get to know you. They can get to understand more about who you are and what you do, okay? And it's really, really important to do that, right? So that's important to do, of course, is emailing your list every single day. And you know, a lot of people may tell you differently, but I just think that emailing your list is important.
Now, if you do have follow-up sequences, that's also cool, right? For those who don't know what follow-ups are, it's basically the moment that someone subscribes, they get an automatic email, right? Versus you having to type one up every time a subscriber gets into it, right? So you can create follow-ups as far as, you know, one day in, all the way up to like 1,000 days in or 90 days in, right? I mean, I'll tell you a quick story, actually.
There's actually a guy who's a great leader, okay? And he actually had an autoresponder that a guy, I think it was several years, he's been a subscriber of him several years now. And it's so funny because he finally, he finally got him, he finally was, decided to join the business after several years, and it was really due to his follow-up sequence that he has in his business, right? So that's super important for you to understand. You should have a follow-up sequence and all those things that really help you take your business to the next level.
When it comes to email marketing, you know, there's a couple of neat things that you can do, all right? And sometimes a lot of people, what they tend to do is, the people who don't connect with them, they delete them instead of putting them in the bucket, which can be, you know, a lot of people have different opinions on it, but before you delete them, you know, there's different ways where you can actually extract their information and kind of retarget them on different platforms where they might be hanging out like Facebook and, you know, other platforms like that. So instead of deleting your subscribers, you should keep some of that information so then you can kind of figure out how you can retarget them in different ways. I'm not going to talk about that too much, but just keep that in mind. A lot of people will just delete them, which is also fine too, right?
But you know, just decide to continue to invest into your learning because as I'm sharing this with you now, this was also taught to me. I didn't just one day wake up and understand this bucket concept. This is something that was taught to me and I finally started to click and I continued to kept doing it and doing it and I was like, okay, wow, this makes a lot of sense. I get the point and I get the power in it, okay? I get the power in it.
I wanted to share with you something that was also really powerful that, of course, I believe I learned it from someone named Darren Little, okay? He's a great leader inside of a company and this guy's like a beast when it comes to email marketing and one of the things that he used, it's called the nine word email, right? What it basically is, it's him creating a follow-up sequence that creates massive engagement for his subscribers, right? The nine word email basically goes something like, are you still interested in a home-based opportunity, a home-based business opportunity, or are you still interested in making money online? It's basically a direct question, a yes or no, that creates massive, massive engagement for him and his list and, of course, when you get engagement that sort, you can close these members out either through the phone or through emails, right?
You can send them back a link, right? I think that was really powerful, so thank you for sharing that really powerful concept and I kind of just wanted to give it back to you guys because that's something I'm definitely going to apply inside of my business. I'm actually going to do this, I'm going to do that right after this, okay, because I just recently learned it. But I think it's powerful. I mean, look, email marketing is great, it's another great way to market your business and if you're not getting leads daily and you're not doing what you need to do, then maybe you should really spend more time figuring out how to start getting more leads in your business because leads are going to be the lifeline of your business, which is really important to make sure that you have, okay?
Going back to a couple more things that I wanted to share with you and then I'm going to wrap this up. It just has to go with the bucket, right? Again, the bucket, man, the bucket. You know, I think it's the coolest thing in the world. So let's talk a little bit about what happens to those people.
I mean, you can either get them re-engaged or you can kind of just, what you want to do is you kind of want to broadcast to them every so often and the purpose of that is really to just get them back to something called the re-engagement series, right? Where they're basically going to get value, they're going to get some training of some sort and kind of get them to back to where they were, you know, get them back to where they were with the other subscribers who are opening up your emails, who are buying stuff from you and doing those kind of sorts of thing, right? Now when I first got started, email marketing was like a headache to me, okay? I mean, it took me about 14 days to figure out how to use an autoresponder and you know what? It wasn't even hard, it was just that it was something brand new.
I had never even experienced, I never had really gone through it, I never realized the power in it. So just like with anything new, it's always going to take some time, so even as you're applying this method and strategy, be patient and just understand that it's going to require some time and it's going to require some repetition, right? They say repetition is the mother of all learning, right? And just keep repeating it, just keep going, keep doing it, right? And as you continue to keep taking action, all of a sudden you're going to find yourself at a point where you're going to be so good at it that you're going to be able to start teaching it and you're going to get even better, right?
I mean, don't think that just because I'm sharing all this stuff with you that this just naturally came to me overnight. It didn't, right? It took time and I had to learn and of course I had to apply it and I actually had to do it, right? Because just learning it is not good enough, right? You have to learn it, apply it, create an experience from it and then you can reteach to someone based on experience versus based on theory, okay?
So I think that's really powerful and hopefully you've been getting massive value just from this one inner circle. Hopefully you understand the concept of what the bucket really does and the purpose of it and the power in it because if you have, man, I'm excited for you. If you understand it, take action on it. If you don't, listen to this again and start understanding the concept of it. It's very, very simple.
It's cool, it's easy to do and you know what? This is Fowler C.Q. and thank you for listening to another Inner Circle Audio. Looking forward to bringing you more and more inner circles, all right? Take care.
