Kevin Souza on Facebook Edge Rank: Why Fresh Posts Beat Sharing Every Time
You’ve posted your link a dozen times this month and your own numbers tell the story better than any pep talk could: a handful of likes, maybe a comment from your mother, and nothing that looks like an actual lead. Kevin Souza starts this training by admitting he used to do exactly what you’re doing, joining fifty groups and dropping his link into all of them, hoping something would stick. He calls that method not only slow but mostly useless, and then spends the rest of the session showing what he built instead: close to five thousand friends and tens of thousands of followers, all without ever begging a stranger to add him.
He’s quick to point out that Hector, the man he trained through most of these steps, is eighty three years old and had never posted a photo in Facebook before this. If Hector can build an audience this way, the excuse that you’re not tech savvy enough doesn’t hold up.
What actually makes a Facebook post spread past your own friends list?
Kevin’s daily habit is deceptively plain: a quote, a photo, and a video, posted fresh every single day, never shared secondhand. He downloads videos he finds in Facebook itself using a free browser tool, renames the file, uploads it as his own, and writes his own description and link underneath it, rather than hitting share. Sharing somebody else’s post buries your own link entirely, since only the original poster’s description survives the share. Posting fresh keeps your name, and your link, attached to something people actually want to watch.
The reason this compounds is a mechanism Facebook itself runs quietly in the background.
Why does Facebook only show your posts to some of your friends?
Kevin calls it edge rank, and it explains why two people with the same friend count can get wildly different reach. Facebook is watching whether you comment back, whether you like the shares your posts generate, whether you’re actually part of the conversation happening under your own content. Ignore your notifications and your reach quietly shrinks. Engage constantly, and Facebook starts showing your posts to more of the people who already follow you, and eventually to friends of friends who’ve never heard of you.
That’s also why he’s strict about tone. No negativity survives in his comment threads. He blocks anyone who gets nasty, sets his own timeline so only he can post to it, and keeps every quote, photo, and video motivational or entertaining on purpose, because a feed that stays consistently positive is one people keep coming back to and keep sharing.
What’s the actual trick to turning old posts into new momentum?
This is the piece Kevin calls his ninja hint, and it’s simple enough that most people walk right past it. Go back to a video you posted weeks ago, one that already picked up comments and shares, and drop a fresh comment or even just a smiley face at the bottom of the thread. That single small action pushes the old post back to the top of your friends’ feeds as though you’d just posted it, without you having to create anything new. He does this live in the training on a video from days earlier and watches a new comment appear within a minute, from someone who then goes on to look through and share his other posts.
Immediately like and reply the moment you’re notified especially when it’s not from a friend or follower. You will want non-friends and followers to get to know, like, and trust you. The KLT factor I call it.
The friend requests, in his approach, are supposed to come to you. Going around clicking add friend on stranger after stranger gets accounts suspended, but posting consistently, replying fast, and staying positive draws requests in on their own, at a pace that never trips Facebook’s suspicion filters. As Kevin puts it, “my Facebook itself is living proof.” It’s hard to argue with almost five thousand friends built entirely through daily posting and genuine engagement rather than a single cold friend request.
None of this needs a marketing budget or a background in tech. It needs a quote, a photo, and a video, posted fresh every day, replies given quickly and warmly, and the patience to let edge rank do what it’s designed to do over weeks instead of overnight.

This video will teach you how to post an image or a photo in Facebook. The first thing you want to do is go to google.com forward slash images and then that brings you to a page with a field on it that says google images and so you can type whatever you want just don't limit it to what you see in these videos you know use your imagination as to what type of photo you would like what I'm going to do here is inspiration let's just type that in there and see what we have for inspiration and we'll just scroll down and we'll pick a photo now what's important to remember is the size of the photo can't really be any more than 500 by 500 and no smaller than 300 by 300 look at the first number like this one here is 1200 by 790 as you can see and that's too big rather than teach you how to make the photo smaller or larger you should just look for photos that are with this first number here says 1200 no less than 300 and no more than 500 just kind of a rule of thumb on photos well 540 by 322 is okay so you could do that that's 900 by 500 this one here is 529 by 404 you just ballpark it this 540 by 322 if I click on it it might be good size to use to be inspired is great to inspire is incredible so here's what you do Hector you right click and you copy image location and then you come up and put it in a new tab and I'm just going to kind of lift this up here so you can see what I'm doing just open a new tab and right click and paste the image and go there so that now the image is showing up perfectly now you want to right click and save image as and wherever you save the image whether it's in your downloads or I like to save mine on the desktop as you can see here but you can save them wherever you want on your computer but you gotta know where you're saving it that's important so here it says desktop so I'm saving it there you don't want to clutter your desktop like mine is so save it where you know you can find it to upload it okay and so now the next step is to go to your Facebook and again where it says what's on your mind what you wanna do as you wanna make maybe a little text with the link to your website and if you look at the photo again it says to be inspired is great to inspire is incredible you can even use those words if you want and then put your website and when the preview comes up of course you want to X out of it you've seen me do this before and so now you have your text now you want to go look for the photo so you click on photo slash video and then you click on upload photos video and a pop-up comes up with where you're gonna find the image now we saved it in desktop here but wherever you saved it you go for it and you look for the photo to inspire.jpg there it is highlight it and hit open when you do that you see it upload here and there it is okay but there it is so now all you want to do is post it and there it is be inspired is great to inspire is incredible with your website and that Hector is how you post a photo hi welcome back in this video I'm going to show you how to post a video in Facebook the first thing you want to do when I use Firefox browser is install net video hunter and it's really easy to install you just go to net video hunter dot com and you click install and you wait until you get the pop-up and you allow it and then once the pop-up is gone you can install now once it's installed Firefox will ask you to restart Firefox and you'll know when it's installed because if you look on the upper right hand of your navigation bar you'll see a blue dot and that blue dot is net video hunter so now that you have net video hunter installed let's go to facebook.com now in Facebook there are literally millions of videos to find you can find videos in radio station fan pages you can find videos just by scrolling up and down your home wall you can also find videos in groups and what I've done is I've used my bookmarks and bookmarked several videos as you can see here and I have tons of groups and pages that have videos so I'm gonna go to one of them here it is let's look at this video now in order for net video hunter to capture the video it needs to be played in a separate tab or a separate window so that net video hunter can see it so rather than click on the video I will right click the video and open the link in a new tab the moment the video starts to play the blue dot will start to blink for net video hunter when that happens, that tells you that it has captured see that and so you click on the blue button and then the video will start to spin.
And all you do is click download on the left hand side of NetVideoHunter. And you put it in whatever folder you want. I like to put it on my desktop because then I put it away later. And I like to pretty much rename the video before I download it.
Rollercoaster Orlando. This is going to open up in 2017. I'm going to save this to my desktop. And we're good.
Now I'm going to go to my home page so I can post the video. So I'm going to look on my desktop. And before I do that, I'll clear NetVideoHunter. Once I'm on my home page, I open up a notepad or a text document.
And I put a description and a title in here so that I can just simply copy and paste it. And you'll notice I also put my website with the www on it so that people can visit that if they wish. So I'm going to click copy and paste right into the description. And I'm also going to remove the preview.
So you have a description and a link to your website. Now I'm going to go get the video. So I'm going to click add photos video and click upload photos video. And I'm going to scroll down and get it.
There it is. Rollercoaster Orlando. And I'm going to click open. And while that's positioned right here, you'll see kind of like a ghost video.
I'm going to hit post. And I'm going to go back to my notepad and now copy the title that I want to use. So the description goes in with your link before the title does. And once this video is uploaded.
A pop-up will come up and I'm going to click on edit video. Once I'm on that page, I'm going to simply paste the title in there. And I'm going to scroll down and click save. And what I like to do is wait until the video is processed.
You can see it start to process now. And I'm going to click on edit this video. Right here. Because I want to choose the thumbnail that I want to display on the video.
And there are the thumbnails. And we'll just kind of scroll through them. And pick the one we want. Once I've done that, I go to my profile.
And there's the video. World's tallest roller coaster opens in 2017, Orlando. Would you take a ride? This is awesome.
Tallest roller coaster, Skyplex, Orlando in 2017. And there in my profile, I will get likes, comments, and shares. And so that simply is how to post videos. Again, remember.
Finding videos is not very difficult. Because you can literally go to all kinds of fan pages, entertaining pages. You can use your search field up here in Facebook. And you can find videos.
Videos are not very difficult to find. Don't use copyright videos. Never share a video. Okay.
Instead, you want to post them fresh to your Facebook. That's very important. Because if you share it, then if you have a link in your post. Like I have.
Like I do here. People won't see that link because it's a shared video. I also do not upload YouTube videos to Facebook. Ever.
I usually find the videos in Facebook and use them. Because you don't want to use a copyrighted video. And many times you will get a notice from Facebook if you post a YouTube video fresh. Download it fresh.
Upload it fresh. Post it. You'll get a message from Facebook saying that that video is copyrighted. And they'll give you a warning.
If you do it again, they'll suspend your ability to post videos for a month. Then if you do it again, you'll never be able to post videos again. Use videos that are in Facebook whenever you're posting videos. Download them fresh using NetVideoHunter like I showed you.
And upload them fresh. Put the description in first along with your link. And then the title after you've uploaded it. And you click edit this video.
And so that's how you post videos in Facebook. Enjoy. And in our next training session, you're going to learn how to post those videos in groups. So this is Kevin Sousa.
Make it a wonderful day. Hi, this is Kevin Sousa. Welcome back. In this training, I'm going to talk about how to post in groups.
And of course, the last three trainings were how to post a quote, how to post a photo, how to post a video. And this is how to post that video in groups. Now you can post in about ten groups a day. You can build that up.
Build that up as your friends list builds and as your edge rank in Facebook builds. Meaning when you get more engagement on your posts from people who are commenting and liking and sharing. And you engage back and connect with others by commenting and liking their comments. And liking their shares and commenting on their shares.
Then Facebook sees that you're engaged and that increases your edge rank. Which means more people will see your posts. Because not everyone sees your posts unless you have a high edge rank. Facebook only sends your posts to very few people on their walls until you finally build your edge rank.
And they see that you're connecting and communicating and engaging with your friends and followers. Now the idea to build more friends and followers is not to go out and click request friend, request friend, request friend. Because if you do that, Facebook will eventually terminate you. They'll warn you at first.
Then they'll suspend you. Then they'll terminate you. You don't do that. You want people to request you to be a friend.
How do you do that? By posting quotes, photos, videos and posting those same videos in groups. So that more people who share those will be sharing with people you don't know. And they will like your posts because you're doing it every day, right?
And so they'll either follow you or request a friend. And that's how I built 5,000 friends and 45,000 followers. By putting my posts in front of people I don't know. How?
By people sharing those posts. It goes to their friends list and of course they're not on your friends list. But they start becoming friends of yours because they love your posts. And you do it consistently and that's what happens.
How often do you post a quote, a video and a photo? Every day. How often do you post in groups? Every day.
And here I'm going to show you how to find groups. If you look at the top field in Facebook here, I'm going to type in financial freedom. Let's try that. And I go all the way down to see more results right here.
You can type whatever you want in Facebook. Finding groups is the easiest thing in the world. All you do is type a subject here. And then click on groups once the page comes open.
And there you'll see there's all kinds of groups. And if you scroll to the bottom of the groups you'll see there's a little arrow here that you can see more groups. So you want to click that arrow and see more groups will start coming. And then click the arrow.
And then click the arrow again. And more groups will display. And you could keep going until the end of whatever term or phrase that you used up here in the search field. Let's go back to the top of the page.
Here's how you join groups. I like to join a group that has a thousand or more members and public groups. All you do is hit join. See request sent.
Join. Request sent. I want you to know that join. 14,000 members.
Look at that. Join. That you should not request more than 10 in a day because Facebook will say hey you're doing some suspicious activity. And they'll actually ask you to slow down or they'll suspend you from joining groups for a period of time like a month, three weeks.
At first you want to just join 10 groups. There's three, four, five. There's 1,100 members there. 4,500 members there.
Six. Oh, 143,000 members. Seven. All right.
15,000 members. Eight. I'm not going to join that one. This one.
1,700 members. Nine. Ten. It goes on and on.
I can join more than 10 in a day because, again, my edge rank has increased. I've earned that right to be able to ask a request to join more groups. But when you start, you want to join 10 a day. And then when they approve you, if you go up to here where you see this number, I will talk more about this red number here when I discuss helpful hints and tips.
When I discuss helpful hints and tips in the next training video. I've joined about 10, 12, 13 groups. You will get groups who approve you. And when they approve you, they'll go on your groups list.
So let's take a look at that. On your home page, when you click on Home, it'll take you on the side here to different sections of your Facebook. And you'll see in this section, Groups. And when I hover over the word Groups, to the right of that, you will see More.
And what I like to do is just click on More. And it brings up all of my groups, some of the groups that I'm managing and some of the groups that you're in. I have a ton of groups, 200, 300. We're going to come back to this page in a moment.
What we're going to do is we're going to grab a video and start posting it in groups. And I'm going to show you how. Let's go to my profile. I did that last training video 19 hours ago.
You see that right there? And this was when I posted. This roller coaster in Orlando. Remember that?
On the last training? That was 19 hours ago as of the time of this video. Let's just take a look at this for a minute. I already have 207 shares.
And if I refresh my profile, it's up to 210 shares. And of course, a ton of comments on this. This video is clearly an awesome video that would have a good chance of going viral. And 200 shares in 19 hours, it's going to go viral.
The reason it goes viral is because of all the followers that I have. Almost 46,000. And friends. So what do you do to post these in groups?
Really simple. What I do is I'm going to take you to my notepad. I list the title of my video and the link to it. And you can see as we go down, there's just a ton of videos that I've kept records of with the links that I can go at any moment to any of these links to my videos.
Do some comments or likes and so forth. Let's go back to the video for the roller coaster. So what I did was the roller coaster, I put a comment here. I would love to ride this coaster when it opens in 2017.
Share. Along with a link to that post. Now let's look at where to find that link. When you post in groups, the link is right here.
That's called the timestamp link. That was 19 hours ago. What you want to do is you want to right click if you're in Firefox and copy link location. That timestamp link is what you're going to use to post in groups.
And when I bring up my notepad, all of these links that you see here. Are timestamp links of each one of those video posts. For preparation on posting in groups, I put a little comment. I would love to ride this coaster when it opens in 2017.
Share. I gave a little call to action. And then here is the timestamp link. So I'm going to highlight and copy that.
So I have the description I'm putting in the group along with the link. And I don't need that notepad anymore. Now I'm going to go back to groups. And it really doesn't matter what groups you post in.
Because frankly, I don't need that. Because frankly, entertaining videos like a roller coaster video. Or you know, somebody singing. Or you know, somebody doing something goofy or whatever.
People love entertainment. And so people are always asking me, what groups do I join? It really does not matter unless you want to target specific subjects. I joined some autism groups and special needs groups.
Because we have a child, a daughter who has autism. I joined some karaoke groups. It doesn't matter what groups you join. So we've copied the link and a text that I want to use in the group.
I leave a group page open. And the first group I will right click and open the link in a new tab. I'm going to go here to write something. And I'm going to paste the text and the link.
And look, the preview to the roller coaster comes up. So I highlight the link portion of this post right here that I just pasted. And I delete it. It goes away.
So all that's left is I would love to ride this coaster when it opens in 2017. Share. So the description is all that's left. Under the video is the description that I had in the original post.
With my link. Without blatantly saying, click my link. Go check out my business. We don't need to do that.
When I hit post, the title of this video embeds itself right on the video itself. Tallest Roller Coaster Skyplex Orlando 2017. And my comments neatly placed there. And that's how you post it in a group.
If I go back to my profile. I'll show you. When I uploaded it yesterday. Tallest Roller Coaster Skyplex Orlando 2017.
When it's posted, that's where the title gets embedded. Is right on the video itself. So when you put it in a group, there's the title. People are going to like this and comment on it and share it.
That's how you get friend requests and followers. You want to post to 10 groups a day. As your friends and followers grow, you can increase that to 12 groups a day. And then eventually 13, 15 groups a day.
And so on. I have now the ability to be able to post to 40 or 50 groups in a day. And it's really quickly. It doesn't take too long to post in that many groups.
And let me show you why. Okay. So now that I'm done posting in this group, which was the special needs swap meet. What I do is I will X out of this.
And go back here to the next one. And go into things like personal development. I'm going to right click the group and open it in a new tab. And where it says write something.
I'm going to simply right click and paste the link and the comment. And let the preview come. You have to wait for the preview to show up. And then delete the link.
Which I just did. And hit post. And when you see the title embedded on the post, the post is done. So you go back to your tab.
Close it. And go to the next one. Right click. Open link in new tab.
I'm going to do a few just to show you how quickly you can post things. Right click and paste. Wait for the preview to show up. There it is.
Then get rid of the link portion of that. Preview stays. You hit post. And there it is.
So I go back up. Close the tab. And go to the next one. Right click.
Open link in new tab. Write something. Paste. Wait for the preview.
There it is. Then get rid of the link. And hit post. You see how that works?
Close the tab. And go to the next one. Right click. Open link in new tab.
And I've already done like four groups, right? Wait for it to load. And then in the write something section, I'm going to paste. And I'm going to get rid of the link after the preview shows up.
And I'm going to hit post. And there it is. Go back to the tab. Remember what you did.
Global internet business. Go back to the tab. You go down to the seeds right under. There's the next one.
Open link in new tab. And I'm going to do one more after this one. We'll be done. Paste.
Wait for the preview. There it is. Get rid of the link. And hit post.
Go back up and close the tab. And go into the next one. Then paste. Wait for it.
Preview. There you go. Delete the link. And post.
And then close the tab. And that's how you post in groups. Okay? You simply open in a new tab.
You paste the link and the comment. The minute the preview shows up, you can go ahead and delete the link and hit post. Start in 10 a day. Do 12, 15.
Eventually build it up. Build it up as your friends and followers build up. Posting in groups, as you can see, is very easy. And it is not time consuming.
And the rewards are massive friend requests over time and followers. And my own Facebook account is proof of that. That is how you post in groups. And that's how you get friend requests and followers.
And you must be patient. It doesn't happen overnight. You need to post every single day a video, a quote, a photo. And then post that video in groups in the manner that I just taught you.
And in our next video, I'm going to give you lots of helpful hints and tips to help you build your edge rank and get more friend requests and followers. More engagement on your posts. And these methods are proven and they work as long as you, every single day of your life, are posting those four things. Okay?
This is Kevin Sousa. Make it a wonderful day. Hi, this is Kevin Sousa. Welcome back.
In this video, I'm going to give you all kinds of hints and tips that are helpful along with suggestions and recommendations. And I'm going to read from the PDF that's included at the bottom of this video that you can download and follow along or you can look at your notes later. I hope you took notes on all of this training and watched the videos more than once. These videos are jam-packed with valuable tips and helpful hints.
You know, I have 5,000 friends and 46,000 followers for a reason. You don't have to take my advice. You can do whatever you want to do. But what I'm suggesting and recommending and the hints that I'm about to share with you and the tips, they're clearly working because my Facebook itself is living proof.
Put to use on a daily basis the valuable training that I've shared with you. And be sure to pass it along. Share your new knowledge with people who are willing to learn and willing to work. So what I'm going to do on this video is unique because I'm going to scroll down the PDF that you can print out at the bottom of this video.
And I'm going to actually follow the points that I'm making on the PDF so that you can follow along while I teach you these things in Facebook. So let's go to the first couple of points. Helpful tips and notes. Watch the video to clarify these points.
The first thing we're going to talk about is settings. And so that's the first thing I'm going to do is go to settings. You know, you should set your settings to public. Starting in the privacy section, I'm going to go here to my wall and show you where to find settings.
It's right here. Now that we're here, you notice who can see my stuff? Public. Review all posts and things you're tagged in.
Use activity log. Limit the audience for posts you shared with friends or public. Limit past posts. If I click on that, it says limit old posts.
I don't want to do that, so I'm going to close it and leave it alone. Who can send me friend requests? Everyone. Whose messages do I want filtered in my inbox?
Basic filtering. Who can look you up using the email address you provided? Everyone. Who can look you up using the phone number you provided?
Everyone. Do you want other search engines to link to your timeline? Yes. Again, these are suggestions or recommendations.
But remember, there's a reason why I have 5,000 friends and 46,000 followers. Now let's go to timeline and tagging. Who can post on your timeline? Only me.
So you make sure when you click that edit button that you choose only me. Why? Because you want just positive feedback and positive information on your profile. So no one is allowed to post on my profile anywhere.
No one. Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline. On. Review what other people see on your timeline.
You can just leave it the way it is. Who can see posts you've been tagged on in your timeline? Everyone. Who can see what others post on your timeline?
Everyone. Review tags that people add to your own posts before the tags appear on Facebook. That's on. When you're tagged in a post and who sees tags?
It's friends. So privacy and timeline are the two places that you can tag in your timeline. I'm going to show you how to do that. There are two places that you want to make sure your settings are set up correctly.
So let's go back to my PDF. Get a domain name. Forward and mask to a lead capture page for your business. Facebook blocks almost all company generated sites because too many people post it.
But when you use your own domain it's all good. Well where do you get a domain name? Well that's simple. You can go to GoDaddy.com.
You can go to HostingDude.com. They have the same platform as GoDaddy.com. I like HostingDude.com and so I use them. But it's real simple to get a domain.
And then just simply forward and mask that domain to your lead capture page. And what I'll do is I'll show you an example in my Facebook. If you see here I posted a post about power in you and the power in me. And if you see here there's a link www.determination.ws.
I bought that domain. It forwards and masks. To one of my lead capture pages for my business. And so that's important that you do that.
So let's go to the next helpful tip. In the red number icons at the top of your Facebook navigation bar are friend requests, acceptance, notification, messages, inbox and other inbox. Check these constantly to stay on the cutting edge of engagement. Well let's look at that.
Here the first one up here is for friends. Now I have literally over a thousand confirmed friends. I could hit for friends that have requested me to be their friend. But I have not.
Why? Because I've reached my limit in Facebook. And so if I have an issue with somebody or I have to delete someone. I have to block them because they're being negative on my comments in the threads.
Well then I'll just come back here and replace them with one of the friends that have already requested me. And they stay there for as long as you have them there. So that's where to find friends who have confirmed you and approved you to be friends. And where you confirm friends online.
And where you confirm friends on your own. This middle one is inbox. I'm not going to click on it because my messages are private. But that's your inbox.
You have two. You have an inbox and an other. Other is usually messages that come from people that you don't know. They're not friends.
They could be following your posts. In other words there's no red numbers here. So you might as well know that those have been checked for the day. Now let's look at this one.
It has 42. I left it like this on purpose. Why do you want to check your notifications? You want to know who's commenting on your posts.
I want to see the ones that are commenting and even the ones that are sharing on my posts. And I just like to scroll down here and find comments. And I usually click on them to see what they said. So let's go to the next point.
You want to turn off notifications in each group that has accepted your request to join. Let me show you an example. I joined some karaoke groups lately. And here's one.
This public group. Anyone can see the group and et cetera, et cetera. So I always click OK. And then notifications here will have a blue checkmark.
I will click on it and I will turn it off. I don't want notifications from most, if not all, of my groups in my Facebook wall. But as you can see I just turned this off. Let's go to the next helpful hint.
When a group gives you a message after you post a video in there that says the admin needs to approve it before it will be posted. Or you get negative feedback. If you get negative feedback from the group admin, leave the group. Do not leave negative comments.
Just leave the group. If you post a video and it says the admin has to approve this before it gets posted, leave the group. And replace it with another group. You don't have time to wait.
There are millions of groups out there that will allow you to post your video, your entertaining video, without getting approval first. So if that message comes up that the video needs to be approved, just leave the group. Now let's talk about edge rank. If you're a group of people that have a lot of video comments and shares and on other posts.
So let's talk about that. When you like comments or like shares. I'm going to start here. I'm going to show you.
I have 20 shares here. And I'm going to look for some that say like. None of them do. They all say share, share, share.
So I move on. And I scroll down. And I look. Here's 13 shares on this one.
Look for likes. Here's one like Tanya shared it. So I'm going to like that. I'm also going to scroll down.
I'm not going to like any more. No. And so I left some of these blank on purpose because I wanted to show you this. Here's one share.
I probably already liked it. Okay. You can click away after you click it. Now here's that famous video I posted.
It looks like November 20th. And today's the 22nd. So it hasn't quite been two days yet. And in two days I have 310 shares.
And look at this. I would so do this. I would ride this. You have sweaty palms.
I would have to go on that. Okay. So I'm going to do four comments. And I'll scroll down and make sure I got all the likes.
Yep. Life's too short. Got to try everything once. Good.
And that's what you do. Why am I liking? And I'm also going to put a little smiley face here. Watch this.
Boom. A little smiley face. I'll talk about what that just did. Okay.
Because it's on one of my videos. I also comment on my videos. Yes. Again.
I would ride this roller coaster. Comments. Likes on your shares, on your post threads, builds what's called edge rank in Facebook. Facebook looks at your Facebook and says, Hey, Let's see.
Is this person engaged in conversation? Do they like comments? Are they getting their videos and photos and quotes shared? Are they liking their shares?
And are people discussing things with them? Facebook looks at that stuff. And increases your edge rank when that's happening. means let's say I have forty eight hundred and forty eight friends right almost five thousand friends I leave it just under five thousand so I can add more friends and be picky most of these people will see what I post because I have a very high edge rank but if it were you and you had five thousand friends but you hardly ever click like you hardly ever click like on shares you hardly comment back in your posts then your edge rank will be lower and less than that number will see your posts when they got posts I used to think that everybody that was my friends and followers could see my post no that has everything to do with edge rank and how much you connect with your friends and followers let's go to the next point when you log into Facebook daily scroll down your own profile to like comment and positively manage your threads also delete negative comments and block negative people hey that's what I've done a lot blocked a lot of people I just showed you how to scroll down and like and comment and things but blocking is really important and I think it's really important for you to know that if you're going to get a lot of negative comments it's really important because I don't want anyone negative in my comment threads nobody can post on my wall but me remember that's how you should set yours up but I have blocked tons and tons literally to that hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Facebook people I have blocked I do that on purpose because if somebody's getting negative or is using filthy language in my comment threads they're out of there I'm going to block them for life and they're gone because I want to maintain a hundred percent positive Facebook and that's so vitally important like I said delete and block negativity keep it all positive let people know your zero tolerance policy on negativity now I'm about to give you the first ninja hint you want to post a smiley face or a comment at the bottom of the comment threads in older videos to get them seen again by friends and followers to position them to possibly spark into viral posts Wow so here's what I mean this here is my video page is over 500 600 videos on this page this here was when my brother and I were reunited and what I'll do is I'll go through my video page it's real simple to get there and I'll show you how in a minute but what you want to do is you want to right click the video open the link actually you can just click on it and it'll pop up and I'm going to pause the video here and I'm going to scroll down to the very bottom and I'm going to put a little smiley face in there and I'm going to like the last comment my brother and I were reunited are united because we never knew each other after 50 years because of my blog post in my business it was found on google by his nephew and so what that smiley face does speaking of edgerank is the moment I put that smiley face in on an old post instantly it goes to the top of most of my friends and followers now I may get while we're on this video some feedback just because I put a smiley face there so we'll see that's little ninja hint to get your post to go back so you can go to like 50 videos over 50 days if you're posting one a day and put a smiley face at the end of the comment of each of them and put it back on the top of your friends profiles make all of your quote photo and video posts positive motivational inspirational and entertaining now here's an important point the reason I'm using this PDF is because I'm all over the place here but I want to be kind of been or herself don't request friends except when having a conversation in the comments with someone if you request ten people to be a friend and 20 people to be a friend Facebook or stop you give you know a note that says hey what are you doing that suspicious activity because there are people out there just wanna request friends if they could build their friends list real fast Facebook wants you to engage with people and develop relationships they want you to get to know each other and like each other and trust each other other.
I call that the KLT factor and that leads me to the ninja hint here. Immediately like and reply the moment you're notified especially when it's not from a friend or follower. You will want non-friends and followers to get to know, like, and trust you. The KLT factor I call it.
So tag their name when replying back to those people so they can see what you said and when they positively reply after that. Click on friend request because you're fresh in their mind. This positions you for the best chance of accepting you as a friend. So let's go back to my profile for a minute.
Notice I have a number two up here now at the top. I'm going to click on that and it says here Kathleen, Gary, and others commented on my video. Well what do you know? I put a smiley face in this video.
So I'm going to open the link in a new tab by right clicking open that comment in a new tab and scroll to the bottom and I said yes again I would ride this roller coaster. Just because I did that Kathleen said I swear I had a dream about this and yes I would about a minute ago because she saw the fact that I posted and saw the video because I posted and now she's looking at my other stuff. She likes my Santa and joining a sleigh ride. So see what that does?
This is live folks. This causes more engagement when you put a little comment or a smiley face in your post. People see it. They not only comment back but now she's looking at my other things that are on my Facebook.
Tell me that's not powerful. Okay I think that's absolutely tremendous and so yep see that she is. She liked another photo after she did that. That's just incredibly amazing and look at this.
She shared my video. Wow not only did she comment back because she saw the video but she also went and looked at another video and which video did she share? My little Santa Claus one and what am I going to do? Like and while I'm here I'll like some more shares.
Okay this is great. I like doing this in real time because people can see exactly how this works and I could sit here all day doing likes. I will take care of these likes a little bit later for the sake of time. So I'll close that tab and let's go back to helpful hints.
Don't private message non-friends except some followers and so you don't want to do that because Facebook will give you a message if you're private messaging non-friends. We have some people in business that are trying to find people they can share their opportunity or their products and services with and they're out there trying to message anybody on Facebook. Don't do that. Facebook will stop you.
They know what you're doing. Let's talk about posts. You want to post fresh posts. Fresh fresh posts daily without fail.
I don't share other people's video photo or quote posts. Instead I download and then re-upload them fresh. Fresh in my profile. This is important.
The only posts that I share are other people's posts that don't have a link in their description and I share the posts of associates that are in my business. Again I do not share other people's posts that have their link in their description. Why? Because when I add my link to my description in the post that I share no one will see it when others share my shared post.
They will only see what's ever in the description. The description of the originator of that post. I cannot stress this enough. Do not share other people's posts that have links in them.
You can share posts. I'm not telling you not to share posts. I'm saying don't share the ones that have links in them and don't think that if you put your link that you got from GoDaddy that you forwarded and masked to your own link. Don't think that that's going to show up in a shared post when other people share it.
It won't. The only thing that shows up in that post is the originator's stuff not yours. So I really don't share other people's posts. No personal conversations and comments.
Do that in your chat messages. Don't start in your comment thread having a personal conversation because what that does is it distracts from the purpose of the post itself and pretty soon people are talking about oranges when they were talking about elephants in the video. Okay that's a maybe a crazy analogy but there it is. So don't have personal conversations in your comments.
Do it in chat. Above all no negative comments. Avoid negative conversational traps by simply not succumbing to the temptation to get the last negative reply word in edgewise. Keep all your replies positive.
Just delete people's comments if they're negative. You don't necessarily have to block them but if they're getting nasty block them. Simple. Okay that way you keep your Facebook fresh and clean and you become known as a positive motivating inspiring entertaining individual.
Which is that's what you are right? Okay that's what people aspire to be. Do not post a link in chat until you have asked and they give you permission. That's your proof you didn't spam.
You post links in people's chats they can get you for spamming and Facebook will shut you down faster than a speeding bullet. And again do not ever post a link without permission. Do not post any links about your business in chat until it's appropriate to do so with permission. Build your know like and trust factor first.
The KLT factor remember? Let's talk about conversations in chat. And I'm not going to show you this in my chat but when starting a conversation in a private chat with a new friend ask questions about their family, their occupation, recreation and money. And the best way to remember that is F-O-R-M.
Use form and then share about your family and what you do for a living and your recreation and money so it doesn't appear like you're interrogating them. Like hey where you from? Well I'm from Alaska. Wow way out there.
freezing yeah i'm from louisville kentucky and i'm a consultant online what do you do and so ask some questions but also tell them a little about yourself back and forth and eventually they might like to see a link to your business ignore and delete all complainers about you posting your links in your own post when you get a a complainer in the comment section or in your messages is hey you just want people to click on your link or whatever hey it's your right to put a link in your own post don't even argue about it just delete them and block them simple as that where do you find the quotes that you are posting you find them in google where do you find photos that you're posting google.com slash images you can also get photos right in facebook if you scroll up and down your wall you'll find images people have asked me but i don't know if they're copyrighted trust me you'll know if they're copyrighted because usually there's a c little c that says copyright on the photo or don't use photos that have a copyright on the photo or don't use photos that have a copyright on the photo have company names on them and things like that use your common sense you don't have to analyze this and and overthink it all right finding videos is the easiest thing to do first thing you can do is look at my profile you can download fresh and upload fresh any of the videos that i use in my profile you can look at radio station pages other facebook pages you know as your friends and followers grow you'll find more quotes photos and videos by simply scrolling down your own wall by the way net video hunter remember this blue dot here in the last couple of videos i showed you how to post a video they have it for chrome too just google it now google is your finder friend when you're looking for answers to virtually anything just ask google now another subject stay plugged into your company and uplines hangouts and webinars for continuing education okay here's why facebook is constantly changing and evolving you just want to keep up with the times don't say oh i don't know i don't i don't i missed it no you will know when there's a change okay also use multiple tabs for convenience in navigation so for example i'm on my facebook profile here here's a one all right and they asked to join one of our groups then here's another tab okay and this is my home tab here all right and then if i go here there's my photos tab so use multiple tabs in your browser for convenience in navigation it stands to reason that my facebook is living proof that not only do i know what i'm doing but i've learned how to monetize it and create a nice income with it and so can you i hope you watch this valuable training more than once and see for yourself that all of this content flows nicely into a step-by-step pattern of building more friends and followers this positions you to create traffic and capture leads to build your list and create an income you can do this so this is kevin souza and i sincerely hope that you found tremendous value and knowledge in these video trainings so that you too can learn how to post correctly and build enough friends and followers so that you have plenty of people that you can chat with to offer your business opportunity and to help build your freedom for you and your family make it a wonderful day

Hi, this is Kevin Souza, I'm back. This video is loaded with powerful information on how to post in Facebook, how to post a quote, how to post a video, how to post a photo, how to get your post to go viral, and how to post in groups. And when you combine those four things, how to post quotes, photos, videos, and then how to post videos in groups, with some helpful tips and hints that I'm going to give you at the end of this video, you'll be armed with knowledge on what to do to have your Facebook set up properly for posts to go viral, just like my Facebook. Okay, and right now I have close to 63,000, almost 64,000 followers, and almost 5,000 friends.
In these trainings I want you to understand and be sensitive to this. There are many of you who will look at my how to post quotes, photos, and videos as basic stuff. Like, Kevin, I already know how to do this. Well, you may find some things that I talk about that you don't know how to do, but here's what's important. A lot of people that you sign up in your network, they don't know how to do this stuff. Okay, you may know but they don't. And so the beginning portions of this video, you're going to say, yeah, I already know how to do that, if you've been well seasoned in Facebook and you know how to post. But there are some things that you need to do to set up your Facebook to be conducive to building your friends and followers.
Now when I did the trainings on some of these how to post sections of the video, I was training somebody who did not know how to do any of this stuff. His name Hector, he's from Canada. Hector has been with me online now for 10 years, and the thing about Hector is that he is 83 years young. Okay, and if Hector can do this, certainly anybody else who's willing to learn and willing to work can do this too. So follow the posts, humor me, okay, if you're an expert. So what, watch it anyway, because at the end of this video, I don't know, the last 10 or 20 minutes of it, I have a PDF file included as well that'll give you helpful tips and hints and practices on how to set up your Facebook profile.
Again, this video is loaded with information, so watch it in segments on how to post quotes, photos, videos, and then how to post videos in groups. That's a great section. And then helpful tips and hints that you can pass along to newbies in your team so that you can help those people learn how to set up their Facebook properly, so that they can start chatting with Facebook people, having more friends and followers to chat with, and setting yourself up for success. Okay, so watch this entire video, and toward the end you can follow along on the PDF that I give you in this section so that you can succeed with your business with the free side of marketing and advertising.
So with that said, here's the first training on how to post quotes, and then photos, and then videos, and then how to post in groups, and finally helpful tips and hints. So enjoy. This is the first video on how to post a quote in Facebook. First thing you want to do is go to google.com. When you're there, use your imagination on what kind of a quote you're going to post, and then you're going to go to google.com and then you're going to type in motivational quotes, and you can find motivational quotes pretty much anywhere. I'll go to this site first and I'll scroll down. Right here: our greatest weakness lies in giving up, the most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas Edison. And so that's a quote that's good, we'll use that one. And so you want to right click and copy that.
Now we'll go to your Facebook page, and we're going to go to Facebook. Okay, so in your Facebook, as you can see here, you either go to Hector, which is where we are now, which is your profile, or Home, which is your wall, that's where everybody else's post shows up. But since we're here on your profile where it says "what's on your mind," I'm going to paste that quote right in there. Okay, and I always like to make it nice and clean. I'll put quotes on the first part and the second part, and then Thomas Edison will be the first person to see the quote, and right here, Thomas the third person to see the quote via what the phrase is, because Thomas Edison is the man who said this. So we'll give him the credit. And then underneath that, www.hectorgtzen.com. And you always want to X out the preview that comes up, and see it says remove, and so we'll do that, click, and then all we have to do is post it. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time, Thomas Edison. And there's how to post a quote in Facebook.
This video will teach you how to post an image or a photo in Facebook. The first thing you want to do is go to google.com forward slash images, and then that brings you to a page with a field on it that says Google Images, and so you can type whatever you want. Just don't limit it to what you see in these videos, use your imagination as to what type of photo you would like. What I'm going to do here is inspiration, let's just type that in there and see what we have for inspiration, and we'll just scroll down and we'll pick a photo. Now what's important to remember is the size of the photo can't really be any more than 500 by 500 and no smaller than 300 by 300. Look at the first number, like this one here is 1200 by 790, as you can see, and that's too big. Rather than teach you how to make the photo smaller or larger, you should just look for photos with this first number, no less than 300 and no more than 500, just kind of a rule of thumb on photos. Well, 540 by 322 is okay, so you could do that, that's 900 by 500, this one here is 529 by 404. You just ballpark it. This 540 by 322, if I click on it, might be a good size to use. "To be inspired is great, to inspire is incredible," so here's what you do, Hector, you right click and you copy image location, and then you come up and put it in a new tab, and I'm just going to kind of lift this up here so you can see what I'm doing. Just open a new tab and right click and paste the image, and go there so that now the image is showing up perfectly.
Now you want to right click and save image as, and wherever you save the image, whether it's in your downloads or I like to save mine on the desktop, as you can see here, but you can save them wherever you want on your computer, but you gotta know where you're saving it, that's important. So here it says desktop, so I'm saving it there. You don't want to clutter your desktop like mine is, so save it where you know you can find it to upload it. Okay, and so now the next step is to go to your Facebook, and again where it says "what's on your mind," what you want to do is make maybe a little text with the link to your website. And if you look at the photo again, it says "to be inspired is great, to inspire is incredible." You can even use those words if you want, and then put your website. And when the preview comes up, of course you want to X out of it, you've seen me do this before. And so now you have your text. Now you want to go look for the photo, so you click on photo slash video, and then you click on upload photos video, and a pop-up comes up with where you're gonna find the image. Now we saved it in desktop here, but wherever you saved it, you go for it, and you look for the photo, "to inspire.jpg," there it is. Highlight it and hit open. When you do that, you see it upload here, and there it is. Okay, but there it is. So now all you want to do is post it, and there it is: "be inspired is great, to inspire is incredible," with your website. And that, Hector, is how you post a photo.
Hi, welcome back. In this video I'm going to show you how to post a video in Facebook. The first thing you want to do, when I use Firefox browser, is install NetVideoHunter, and it's really easy to install. You just go to netvideohunter.com and you click install, and you wait until you get the pop-up and you allow it, and then once the pop-up is gone you can install. Now once it's installed, Firefox will ask you to restart Firefox, and you'll know when it's installed because if you look on the upper right hand of your navigation bar, you'll see a blue dot, and that blue dot is NetVideoHunter.
So now that you have NetVideoHunter installed, let's go to facebook.com. Now in Facebook there are literally millions of videos to find. You can find videos in radio station fan pages, you can find videos just by scrolling up and down your home wall, you can also find videos in groups. And what I've done is I've used my bookmarks and bookmarked several videos, as you can see here, and I have tons of groups and pages that have videos, so I'm gonna go to one of them. Here it is, let's look at this video. Now in order for NetVideoHunter to capture the video, it needs to be played in a separate tab or a separate window so that NetVideoHunter can see it. So rather than click on the video, I will right click the video and open the link in a new tab. The moment the video starts to play, the blue dot will start to blink for NetVideoHunter. When that happens, that tells you that it has captured, see that. And so you click on the blue button and then the video will start to spin. And all you do is click download on the left hand side of NetVideoHunter, and you put it in whatever folder you want.
And once this video is uploaded, a pop-up will come up and I'm going to click on edit video. Once I'm on that page, I'm going to simply paste the title in there. And I'm going to scroll down and click save. And what I like to do is wait until the video is processed.
You can see it start to process now. And I'm going to click on edit this video, right here, because I want to choose the thumbnail that I want to display on the video. And there are the thumbnails.
And we'll just kind of scroll through them and pick the one we want. Once I've done that, I go to my profile, and there's the video. World's tallest roller coaster opens in 2017, Orlando.
Would you take a ride? This is awesome. Tallest roller coaster, Skyplex, Orlando in 2017. And there in my profile I will get likes, comments, and shares. And so that simply is how to post videos.
Again, remember, finding videos is not very difficult, because you can literally go to all kinds of fan pages, entertaining pages. You can use your search field up here in Facebook and you can find videos.
Videos are not very difficult to find. Don't use copyright videos. Never share a video, okay. Instead, you want to post them fresh to your Facebook.
That's very important, because if you share it, then if you have a link in your post, like I have, like I do here, people won't see that link because it's a shared video.
I also do not upload YouTube videos to Facebook, ever. I usually find the videos in Facebook and use them, because you don't want to use a copyrighted video. And many times you will get a notice from Facebook if you post a YouTube video fresh.
Download it fresh, upload it fresh, post it. You'll get a message from Facebook saying that video is copyrighted, and they'll give you a warning.
If you do it again, they'll suspend your ability to post videos for a month. Then if you do it again, you'll never be able to post videos again. Use videos that are in Facebook whenever you're posting videos. Download them fresh using NetVideoHunter like I showed you, and upload them fresh.
Put the description in first along with your link, and then the title after you've uploaded it. And you click edit this video, and so that's how you post videos in Facebook. Enjoy.
And in our next training session, you're going to learn how to post those videos in groups. So this is Kevin Sousa, make it a wonderful day. Hi, this is Kevin Sousa, welcome back.
In this training I'm going to talk about how to post in groups. And of course the last three trainings were how to post a quote, how to post a photo, how to post a video. And this is how to post that video in groups. Now you can post in about ten groups a day. You can build that up.
Build that up as your friends list builds, and as your edge rank in Facebook builds, meaning when you get more engagement on your posts from people who are commenting and liking and sharing. And you engage back and connect with others by commenting and liking their comments, and liking their shares and commenting on their shares. Then Facebook sees that you're engaged, and that increases your edge rank.
Which means more people will see your posts, because not everyone sees your posts unless you have a high edge rank. Facebook only sends your posts to very few people on their walls until you finally build your edge rank, and they see that you're connecting and communicating and engaging with your friends and followers. Now the idea to build more friends and followers is not to go out and click request friend, request friend, request friend.
Because if you do that, Facebook will eventually terminate you. They'll warn you at first, then they'll suspend you, then they'll terminate you. You don't do that.
You want people to request you to be a friend. How do you do that? By posting quotes, photos, videos, and posting those same videos in groups, so that more people who share those will be sharing with people you don't know. And they will like your posts because you're doing it every day, right?
And so they'll either follow you or request a friend. And that's how I built 5,000 friends and 45,000 followers, by putting my posts in front of people I don't know. How? By people sharing those posts.
It goes to their friends list, and of course they're not on your friends list, but they start becoming friends of yours because they love your posts. And you do it consistently, and that's what happens. How often do you post a quote, a video, and a photo?
All you do is type a subject here, and then click on groups once the page comes open.
And there you'll see there's all kinds of groups. And if you scroll to the bottom of the groups you'll see there's a little arrow here that you can see more groups. So you want to click that arrow and see more groups will start coming. And then click the arrow, and then click the arrow again.
And more groups will display. And you could keep going until the end of whatever term or phrase that you used up here in the search field. Let's go back to the top of the page. Here's how you join groups. I like to join a group that has a thousand or more members, and public groups.
All you do is hit join. See, request sent. Join. Request sent. I want you to know that join.
14,000 members, look at that. Join. You should not request more than 10 in a day, because Facebook will say, hey, you're doing some suspicious activity. And they'll actually ask you to slow down, or they'll suspend you from joining groups for a period of time, like a month, three weeks.
At first you want to just join 10 groups. There's three, four, five. There's 1,100 members there. 4,500 members there. Six.
Oh, 143,000 members. Seven. All right. 15,000 members. Eight.
I'm not going to join that one. This one. 1,700 members. Nine. Ten.
It goes on and on. I can join more than 10 in a day because, again, my edge rank has increased. I've earned that right to be able to request to join more groups. And then when they approve you, if you go up to here where you see this number, I will talk more about this red number here when I discuss helpful hints and tips in the next training video.
I've joined about 10, 12, 13 groups. You will get groups who approve you, and when they approve you, they'll go on your groups list. So let's take a look at that. On your home page, when you click on Home, it'll take you on the side here to different sections of your Facebook.
And you'll see in this section, Groups. And when I hover over the word Groups, to the right of that, you will see More. And what I like to do is just click on More, and it brings up all of my groups, some of the groups that I'm managing and some of the groups that I'm in. I have a ton of groups, 200, 300.
We're going to come back to this page in a moment. What we're going to do is we're going to grab a video and start posting it in groups. And I'm going to show you how. Let's go to my profile. I did that last training video 19 hours ago.
You see that right there? And this was when I posted this roller coaster in Orlando. Remember that? On the last training?
That was 19 hours ago as of the time of this video. Let's just take a look at this for a minute. I already have 207 shares. And if I refresh my profile, it's up to 210 shares. And of course a ton of comments on this.
This video is clearly an awesome video that would have a good chance of going viral. And 200 shares in 19 hours, it's going to go viral. The reason it goes viral is because of all the followers that I have, almost 46,000, and friends.
So what do you do to post these in groups? Really simple. What I do is I'm going to take you to my notepad. I list the title of my video and the link to it. And you can see as we go down there's just a ton of videos that I've kept records of, with the links that I can go at any moment to any of these links to my videos.
Do some comments or likes and so forth. Let's go back to the video for the roller coaster. So what I did was, the roller coaster, I put a comment here: "I would love to ride this coaster when it opens in 2017." Share.
Along with a link to that post. Now let's look at where to find that link. When you post in groups, the link is right here. That's called the timestamp link. That was 19 hours ago.
What you want to do is you want to right click, if you're in Firefox, and copy link location. That timestamp link is what you're going to use to post in groups. And when I bring up my notepad, all of these links that you see here are timestamp links of each one of those video posts. For preparation on posting in groups, I put a little comment.
"I would love to ride this coaster when it opens in 2017." Share. I gave a little call to action. And then here is the timestamp link. So I'm going to highlight and copy that.
So I have the description I'm putting in the group along with the link. And I don't need that notepad anymore. Now I'm going to go back to groups. And it really doesn't matter what groups you post in, because frankly, I don't need that.
Because, frankly, entertaining videos like a roller coaster video, or somebody singing, or somebody doing something goofy or whatever, people love entertainment. And so people are always asking me, what groups do I join?
It really does not matter, unless you want to target specific subjects. I joined some autism groups and special needs groups, because we have a child, a daughter, who has autism. I joined some karaoke groups. It doesn't matter what groups you join.
So we've copied the link and the text that I want to use in the group. I leave a group page open. And the first group I will right click and open the link in a new tab. I'm going to go here to write something. And I'm going to paste the text and the link.
And look, the preview to the roller coaster comes up. So I highlight the link portion of this post right here that I just pasted. And I delete it, it goes away. So all that's left is "I would love to ride this coaster when it opens in 2017."
Share. So the description is all that's left. Under the video is the description that I had in the original post, with my link, without blatantly saying, click my link.
Go check out my business, we don't need to do that. When I hit post, the title of this video embeds itself right on the video itself: Tallest Roller Coaster Skyplex Orlando 2017. And my comments neatly placed there.
And that's how you post it in a group. If I go back to my profile, I'll show you, when I uploaded it yesterday: Tallest Roller Coaster Skyplex Orlando 2017.
When it's posted, that's where the title gets embedded, is right on the video itself. So when you put it in a group, there's the title. People are going to like this and comment on it and share it. That's how you get friend requests and followers.
You want to post to 10 groups a day. As your friends and followers grow, you can increase that to 12 groups a day, and then eventually 13, 15 groups a day, and so on. I have now the ability to be able to post to 40 or 50 groups in a day.
And it's really quick. It doesn't take too long to post in that many groups. And let me show you why. Okay, so now that I'm done posting in this group, which was the special needs swap meet.
What I do is I will X out of this, and go back here to the next one, and go into things like personal development. I'm going to right click the group and open it in a new tab, and where it says write something.
I'm going to simply right click and paste the link and the comment, and let the preview come. You have to wait for the preview to show up, and then delete the link, which I just did.
And hit post. And when you see the title embedded on the post, the post is done. So you go back to your tab, close it, and go to the next one.
Right click, open link in new tab. I'm going to do a few just to show you how quickly you can post things. Right click and paste, wait for the preview to show up.
There it is. Then get rid of the link portion of that. Preview stays. You hit post. And there it is.
So I go back up, close the tab, and go to the next one. Right click, open link in new tab.
Write something. Paste. Wait for the preview. There it is. Then get rid of the link.
And hit post. You see how that works? Close the tab, and go to the next one.
Go back up and close the tab, and go into the next one. Then paste. Wait for it.
Preview. There you go. Delete the link. And post. And then close the tab.
And that's how you post in groups. Okay? You simply open in a new tab, you paste the link and the comment. The minute the preview shows up, you can go ahead and delete the link and hit post.
Do 12, 15, eventually build it up. Build it up as your friends and followers build up. Posting in groups, as you can see, is very easy, and it is not time consuming.
And the rewards are massive friend requests over time and followers. And my own Facebook account is proof of that. That is how you post in groups, and that's how you get friend requests and followers. And you must be patient.
It doesn't happen overnight. You need to post every single day a video, a quote, a photo, and then post that video in groups in the manner that I just taught you. And in our next video I'm going to give you lots of helpful hints and tips to help you build your edge rank and get more friend requests and followers, more engagement on your posts.
And these methods are proven and they work, as long as you, every single day of your life, are posting those four things. Okay? This is Kevin Sousa, make it a wonderful day. Hi, this is Kevin Sousa.
Welcome back. In this video I'm going to give you all kinds of hints and tips that are helpful, along with suggestions and recommendations. And I'm going to read from the PDF that's included at the bottom of this video that you can download and follow along, or you can look at your notes later. I hope you took notes on all of this training and watched the videos more than once. These videos are jam-packed with valuable tips and helpful hints.
You know, I have 5,000 friends and 46,000 followers for a reason. You don't have to take my advice, you can do whatever you want to do. But what I'm suggesting and recommending, and the hints that I'm about to share with you and the tips, they're clearly working, because my Facebook itself is living proof. Put to use on a daily basis the valuable training that I've shared with you.
And be sure to pass it along. Share your new knowledge with people who are willing to learn and willing to work. So what I'm going to do on this video is unique, because I'm going to scroll down the PDF that you can print out at the bottom of this video. And I'm going to actually follow the points that I'm making on the PDF so that you can follow along while I teach you these things in Facebook. So let's go to the first couple of points.
Helpful tips and notes, watch the video to clarify these points. The first thing we're going to talk about is settings. And so that's the first thing I'm going to do is go to settings. You know, you should set your settings to public.
Starting in the privacy section, I'm going to go here to my wall and show you where to find settings. It's right here. Now that we're here, you notice, who can see my stuff?
Yes.
Again, these are suggestions or recommendations, but remember, there's a reason why I have 5,000 friends and 46,000 followers.
Who can see posts you've been tagged in on your timeline?
Everyone. Who can see what others post on your timeline? Everyone. Review tags that people add to your own posts before the tags appear on Facebook. That's on.
When you're tagged in a post, who sees tags? It's friends. So privacy and timeline are the two places that you can tag in your timeline. I'm going to show you how to do that. There are two places that you want to make sure your settings are set up correctly.
So let's go back to my PDF. Get a domain name, forward and mask it to a lead capture page for your business. Facebook blocks almost all company generated sites because too many people post it, but when you use your own domain it's all good.
Well, where do you get a domain name? Well, that's simple. You can go to GoDaddy.com. You can go to HostingDude.com, they have the same platform as GoDaddy.com.
I like HostingDude.com, and so I use them. But it's real simple to get a domain, and then just simply forward and mask that domain to your lead capture page. And what I'll do is I'll show you an example in my Facebook. If you see here, I posted a post about "power in you and the power in me."
And if you see here, there's a link, www.determination.ws. I bought that domain. It forwards and masks to one of my lead capture pages for my business. And so that's important that you do that.
So let's go to the next helpful tip. In the red number icons at the top of your Facebook navigation bar are friend requests, acceptance, notification, messages, inbox, and other inbox. Check these constantly to stay on the cutting edge of engagement. Well, let's look at that. Here the first one up here is for friends.
Now I have literally over a thousand confirmed friends. I could hit friends that have requested me to be their friend, but I have not. Why? Because I've reached my limit in Facebook.
And so if I have an issue with somebody, or I have to delete someone, I have to block them because they're being negative on my comments in the threads. Well, then I'll just come back here and replace them with one of the friends that have already requested me. And they stay there for as long as you have them there. So that's where to find friends who have confirmed you and approved you to be friends.
And where you confirm friends online, and where you confirm friends on your own. This middle one is inbox. I'm not going to click on it because my messages are private. But that's your inbox.
You have two, you have an inbox and an other. Other is usually messages that come from people that you don't know. They're not friends. They could be following your posts.
In other words, there's no red numbers here, so you might as well know that those have been checked for the day. Now let's look at this one, it has 42. I left it like this on purpose.
Why do you want to check your notifications? You want to know who's commenting on your posts. I want to see the ones that are commenting and even the ones that are sharing on my posts. And I just like to scroll down here and find comments, and I usually click on them to see what they said.
So let's go to the next point. You want to turn off notifications in each group that has accepted your request to join. Let me show you an example. I joined some karaoke groups lately, and here's one.
This public group, anyone can see the group and et cetera, et cetera. So I always click OK. And then notifications here will have a blue checkmark. I will click on it and I will turn it off.
I don't want notifications from most, if not all, of my groups in my Facebook wall. But as you can see, I just turned this off. Let's go to the next helpful hint. When a group gives you a message after you post a video in there that says the admin needs to approve it before it will be posted, or you get negative feedback.
If you get negative feedback from the group admin, leave the group. Do not leave negative comments, just leave the group. If you post a video and it says the admin has to approve this before it gets posted, leave the group, and replace it with another group.
You don't have time to wait. There are millions of groups out there that will allow you to post your video, your entertaining video, without getting approval first. So if that message comes up that the video needs to be approved, just leave the group. Now let's talk about edge rank, if you're in a group of people that have a lot of video comments and shares and other posts.
So let's talk about that. When you like comments or like shares, I'm going to start here, I'm going to show you. I have 20 shares here.
And I'm going to look for some that say like. None of them do, they all say share, share, share. So I move on. And I scroll down.
And I look. Here's 13 shares on this one. Look for likes. Here's one, Tanya shared it, so I'm going to like that.
I'm also going to scroll down. I'm not going to like any more. No. And so I left some of these blank on purpose because I wanted to show you this. Here's one share.
I probably already liked it. Okay, you can click away after you click it. Now here's that famous video I posted. It looks like November 20th.
And today's the 22nd. So it hasn't quite been two days yet, and in two days I have 310 shares. And look at this: "I would so do this."
"I would ride this." "You have sweaty palms." "I would have to go on that." Okay, so I'm going to do four comments.
And I'll scroll down and make sure I got all the likes. Yep. "Life's too short, got to try everything once." Good.
And that's what you do. Why am I liking? And I'm also going to put a little smiley face here. Watch this. Boom.
A little smiley face. I'll talk about what that just did. Okay, because it's on one of my videos. I also comment on my videos.
Yes, again, I would ride this roller coaster. Comments, likes on your shares, on your post threads, builds what's called edge rank in Facebook.
Facebook looks at your Facebook and says, hey, let's see, is this person engaged in conversation? Do they like comments? Are they getting their videos and photos and quotes shared? Are they liking their shares?
And are people discussing things with them? Facebook looks at that stuff, and increases your edge rank when that's happening. Meaning, let's say I have 4,848 friends, right, almost 5,000 friends, I leave it just under 5,000 so I can add more friends and be picky. Most of these people will see what I post because I have a very high edge rank. But if it were you, and you had 5,000 friends but you hardly ever click like, you hardly ever click like on shares, you hardly comment back on your posts, then your edge rank will be lower, and less than that number will see your posts.
I used to think that everybody that was my friends and followers could see my posts. No, that has everything to do with edge rank and how much you connect with your friends and followers. Let's go to the next point. When you log into Facebook daily, scroll down your own profile to like, comment, and positively manage your threads. Also delete negative comments and block negative people.
Hey, that's what I've done, a lot, blocked a lot of people. I just showed you how to scroll down and like and comment and things, but blocking is really important, and I think it's really important for you to know that if you're going to get a lot of negative comments, it's really important, because I don't want anyone negative in my comment threads. Nobody can post on my wall but me, remember, that's how you should set yours up. But I have blocked tons and tons, literally, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Facebook people I have blocked. I do that on purpose, because if somebody's getting negative or is using filthy language in my comment threads, they're out of there, I'm going to block them for life and they're gone, because I want to maintain a hundred percent positive Facebook, and that's so vitally important. Like I said, delete and block negativity, keep it all positive, let people know your zero tolerance policy on negativity.
Now I'm about to give you the first ninja hint. You want to post a smiley face or a comment at the bottom of the comment threads in older videos to get them seen again by friends and followers, to position them to possibly spark into viral posts. Wow. So here's what I mean. This here is my video page, it's over 500, 600 videos on this page. This here was when my brother and I were reunited, and what I'll do is I'll go through my video page, it's real simple to get there, and I'll show you how in a minute. But what you want to do is you want to right click the video, open the link, actually you can just click on it and it'll pop up, and I'm going to pause the video here, and I'm going to scroll down to the very bottom, and I'm going to put a little smiley face in there, and I'm going to like the last comment. My brother and I were reunited because we never knew each other after 50 years, because of my blog post in my business, it was found on Google by his nephew. And so what that smiley face does, speaking of edge rank, is the moment I put that smiley face in on an old post, instantly it goes to the top of most of my friends and followers. Now I may get, while we're on this video, some feedback just because I put a smiley face there, so we'll see. That's a little ninja hint to get your post to go back. So you can go to like 50 videos over 50 days, if you're posting one a day, and put a smiley face at the end of the comment of each of them, and put it back on the top of your friends' profiles.
Make all of your quote, photo, and video posts positive, motivational, inspirational, and entertaining. Now here's an important point, the reason I'm using this PDF is because I'm all over the place here, but I want to be organized. Don't request friends except when having a conversation in the comments with someone. If you request ten people to be a friend and 20 people to be a friend, Facebook will stop you, give you a note that says, hey, what are you doing, that suspicious activity, because there are people out there just wanting to request friends if they could build their friends list real fast. Facebook wants you to engage with people and develop relationships. They want you to get to know each other, and like each other, and trust each other. I call that the KLT factor, and that leads me to the ninja hint here.
Immediately like and reply the moment you're notified, especially when it's not from a friend or follower. You will want non-friends and followers to get to know, like, and trust you. The KLT factor, I call it. So tag their name when replying back to those people so they can see what you said, and when they positively reply after that, click on friend request, because you're fresh in their mind.
This positions you for the best chance of accepting you as a friend. So let's go back to my profile for a minute. Notice I have a number two up here now at the top. I'm going to click on that, and it says here, Kathleen, Gary, and others commented on my video. Well, what do you know?
I put a smiley face in this video. So I'm going to open the link in a new tab by right clicking, open that comment in a new tab, and scroll to the bottom, and I said, "Yes, again, I would ride this roller coaster." Just because I did that, Kathleen said, "I swear I had a dream about this," and, "Yes, I would," about a minute ago, because she saw the fact that I posted, and saw the video because I posted, and now she's looking at my other stuff. She likes my Santa and joining a sleigh ride. So see what that does?
This is live, folks. This causes more engagement when you put a little comment or a smiley face in your post. People see it, they not only comment back, but now she's looking at my other things that are on my Facebook. Tell me that's not powerful.
Okay, I think that's absolutely tremendous, and so, yep, see that, she is, she liked another photo after she did that. That's just incredibly amazing, and look at this, she shared my video. Wow, not only did she comment back because she saw the video, but she also went and looked at another video, and which video did she share?
My little Santa Claus one, and what am I going to do? Like, and while I'm here I'll like some more shares. Okay, this is great. I like doing this in real time because people can see exactly how this works, and I could sit here all day doing likes. I will take care of these likes a little bit later for the sake of time.
So I'll close that tab, and let's go back to helpful hints. Don't private message non-friends except some followers, and so you don't want to do that because Facebook will give you a message if you're private messaging non-friends. We have some people in business that are trying to find people they can share their opportunity or their products and services with, and they're out there trying to message anybody on Facebook. Don't do that, Facebook will stop you.
They know what you're doing. Let's talk about posts. You want to post fresh posts, fresh posts daily without fail. I don't share other people's video, photo, or quote posts.
Instead I download and then re-upload them fresh, fresh in my profile. This is important. The only posts that I share are other people's posts that don't have a link in their description, and I share the posts of associates that are in my business. Again, I do not share other people's posts that have their link in their description.
Why? Because when I add my link to my description in the post that I share, no one will see it when others share my shared post. They will only see whatever is in the description, the description of the originator of that post. I cannot stress this enough.
Do not share other people's posts that have links in them. You can share posts, I'm not telling you not to share posts, I'm saying don't share the ones that have links in them, and don't think that if you put your link that you got from GoDaddy, that you forwarded and masked to your own link, don't think that's going to show up in a shared post when other people share it.
It won't. The only thing that shows up in that post is the originator's stuff, not yours. So I really don't share other people's posts. No personal conversations and comments. Do that in your chat messages.
Don't start in your comment thread having a personal conversation, because what that does is it distracts from the purpose of the post itself, and pretty soon people are talking about oranges when they were talking about elephants in the video. Okay, that's maybe a crazy analogy, but there it is. So don't have personal conversations in your comments. Do it in chat. Above all, no negative comments.
Avoid negative conversational traps by simply not succumbing to the temptation to get the last negative reply word in edgewise. Keep all your replies positive. Just delete people's comments if they're negative. You don't necessarily have to block them, but if they're getting nasty, block them. Simple.
Okay, that way you keep your Facebook fresh and clean, and you become known as a positive, motivating, inspiring, entertaining individual, which is, that's what you are, right? Okay, that's what people aspire to be. Do not post a link in chat until you have asked and they give you permission. That's your proof you didn't spam.
You post links in people's chats, they can get you for spamming, and Facebook will shut you down faster than a speeding bullet. And again, do not ever post a link without permission. Do not post any links about your business in chat until it's appropriate to do so with permission. Build your know, like, and trust factor first. The KLT factor, remember?
Let's talk about conversations in chat. And I'm not going to show you this in my chat, but when starting a conversation in a private chat with a new friend, ask questions about their family, their occupation, recreation, and money. And the best way to remember that is F-O-R-M, use FORM. And then share about your family and what you do for a living, and your recreation and money, so it doesn't appear like you're interrogating them. Like, hey, where you from?
Well, I'm from Alaska. Wow, way out there, freezing. Yeah, I'm from Louisville, Kentucky, and I'm a consultant online. What do you do? And so, ask some questions, but also tell them a little about yourself back and forth, and eventually they might like to see a link to your business.
Ignore and delete all complainers about you posting your links in your own post. When you get a complainer in the comment section or in your messages, hey, you just want people to click on your link or whatever, hey, it's your right to put a link in your own post. Don't even argue about it, just delete them and block them, simple as that.
Where do you find the quotes that you are posting? You find them in Google. Where do you find photos that you're posting? Google.com slash images. You can also get photos right in Facebook, if you scroll up and down your wall you'll find images. People have asked me, but I don't know if they're copyrighted. Trust me, you'll know if they're copyrighted, because usually there's a little C that says copyright on the photo, or don't use photos that have a copyright on the photo, have company names on them and things like that. Use your common sense, you don't have to analyze this and overthink it.
All right, finding videos is the easiest thing to do. First thing you can do is look at my profile, you can download fresh and upload fresh any of the videos that I use in my profile. You can look at radio station pages, other Facebook pages, and as your friends and followers grow you'll find more quotes, photos, and videos by simply scrolling down your own wall. By the way, NetVideoHunter, remember this blue dot here, in the last couple of videos I showed you how to post a video, they have it for Chrome too, just Google it. Now Google is your finder friend, when you're looking for answers to virtually anything, just ask Google.
Now, another subject, stay plugged into your company and uplines' hangouts and webinars for continuing education. Okay, here's why. Facebook is constantly changing and evolving, you just want to keep up with the times. Don't say, oh, I don't know, I missed it, no, you will know when there's a change. Okay, also use multiple tabs for convenience in navigation. So for example, I'm on my Facebook profile, here's a one, all right, and they asked to join one of our groups, then here's another tab, okay, and this is my home tab here, all right, and then if I go here, there's my photos tab. So use multiple tabs in your browser for convenience in navigation.
