Peeing on Live Webinars & Moving Mountains Through Leadership Development

I’ve been on a live webinar before and been wearing a lapel mic, and said, “Oh, I’ve got to go get a drink of water,” and I go pee and they can hear it on the webinar. I’ve done that like 5 times.

People actually think it is funny. They don’t even get offended, they think it’s hilarious.

I actually have one of my products that has me peeing in the product, and I never deleted it out.

The Magic of “Breaking State”

I’m sure there is someone wondering what posting a quote like this has to do with building a large business on the internet.

“Tons.”

Breaking state and capturing attention is one of the most important things you can do in your marketing period.

It’s just like the ‘Hook’ at the beginning of a movie…

or the loud fart in the quiet room that turns everyone’s attention to the perpetrator.

Farting in Public

I did that once in SSR (Silent Sustained Reading) in the 8th grade. You could have heard a pin drop in that room. I was trying to squeak out a quiet one, but instead it blasted out like a baritone tuba.

You can imagine the reaction.

In 1999 I witnessed a Mormon missionary do it in a quiet Subway sandwich shop; it reverberated off those hard yellow seats like thunder echoing in a canyon.

The sandwich attendant gasped in horror.

That being said, lets talk about Leadership.

Leadership Development

Leadership development is something that has a specific purpose, and when you use it correctly, you create leaders, and you bring out the extraordinary from the ordinary.

Dave and I spend the majority of our time in leadership development mode.

What we want to do is take you guys, and give you the ability to become better leaders…

When you become the person you were meant to be in this industry, and you start being able to connect with people on a deeper level, and influence and lead more people, I’ll tell you what, you can start to move mountains.
