Blog Consistency: Planning Posts Bloggers Actually Finish (Part 6)
Audio only · watch on YouTube
David Wood built Empower Network on the claim that blogging, done consistently and tied to a plan, is the foundation behind every major result the company has produced: over 0 million in global sales and fourteen million ring earners. This particular Tactical Tuesday broadcast, hosted by CEO Jay Kronz alongside “blogging diva” Michelle Schaefer and million dollar ring earner Tracy Walker, was built around proving that claim with a specific new tool: a blogging planner created out of a conversation with Walker herself.
A worksheet built from watching what top earners actually do
The planner given away on the call did not start as an abstract idea. Michelle Schaefer explained that after a VIP webcast where Tracy Walker pulled binders of notebooks off her shelf and showed the team how she planned out every blog post, the Empower Network team went and looked directly at the blogs of top earners, including Walker’s and Dave Wood’s, to find the common threads. What they found became the checklist.
The planner starts with brainstorming boxes for main points, notes, visuals to include, links, research, and similar blogs. It moves into a section for title, category, publish date, and keywords, then a checklist covering whether the draft is done, whether visuals have been added, whether it has been proofread, scheduled, and published. A “share and discuss” section asks whether a shareable image and a tweetable quote (built using clicktotweet.com) are included, and whether the post ends with a question, something Schaefer pointed to directly in Dave Wood’s own blog as the reason his posts draw so many comments. An SEO section checks keywords in the title, content, image names, and alt tags. A “promote” section lists Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, and email to list. The only box highlighted in orange asks what product, service, event, or list builder the post is promoting, a deliberate reminder, Schaefer said, because her own instinct is to focus on inspiration and forget to connect it to money.
Jay Kronz framed the tool as a way out of what he called “analysis paralysis,” describing the common experience of sitting down to blog, drifting to Facebook, liking other people’s posts, ending up reading about someone’s trip to Santorini, and four weeks later being an expert on when the sun sets in Oia without having written a single post. The planner, he said, is designed to make blogging bite-sized: fill in one box, then the next, rather than trying to address “all of connected humanity” in one sitting.
Three things every top-earner blog had in common
When Schaefer took questions on what she found comparing the top performing blogs, she named three patterns. First, consistency: these bloggers publish regularly rather than posting once and disappearing for months. Second, every post ties back to an offer, whether a free opt-in or something for sale. Third, promotion is constant and visible across Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, following a set plan rather than happening at random.
Schaefer offered her own cautionary example. About a year earlier she had been blogging consistently and following a 15-step promotional routine after each post, then got busy and let the promotion slide while continuing to publish content. She didn’t notice until she checked her stats and found her traffic had dropped from roughly 40,000 unique visitors and 250,000 page views down to about half that. Nothing about her content had changed. What had changed was that she’d stopped promoting consistently.
Kronz extended the consistency point with a comparison to a grocery store: people know their bank’s hours, their grocery store’s hours, their mechanic’s hours, and if a store were open unpredictably, they would go somewhere else. He argued a blog works the same way. Readers who don’t know when new content is coming stop checking back.
Tracy Walker on what a blog actually is, and the Maserati story
Tracy Walker, introduced as Empower Network’s first female million dollar ring earner, described a blog simply as an online journal, literally a “weblog” shortened, the same way anyone might once have kept a diary. The difference for entrepreneurs, she said, is that the subject matter shifts from personal confession to whatever the person is passionate about, whether that is a cause, a business, a soccer team full of kids trying to get noticed for scholarships, or sports commentary.
Asked for her favorite blogging story, Walker pointed to the welcome page on her own blog, where new team members are asked to leave a comment on why they must succeed with Empower Network. She described reading comments from people explaining they need to make enough money to retire elderly parents onto a ranch with horses, or grandparents who unexpectedly became full custodial parents again and need income beyond what retirement savings will cover. She said hearing those stories from people she had never met, made possible only because the blog existed as a place for strangers to arrive and speak, is what she finds most rewarding.
The evening also included the story behind her white Maserati GranTurismo, which came up after a viewer named Carrie Kelly asked about it in the chat. Walker said she is not a car person by nature, she calls herself “a house fanatic,” but had seen the car online, posted about it on her Facebook page around 2011, and declared publicly that she would own it within a year, before Empower Network existed and before she had any idea how she would afford it. She then saved for close to a year rather than financing the roughly 7,000 purchase, buying it outright once her income grew. She still also drives the Lexus she bought after being laid off in 2002, paid off, which she said she intends to drive “until the wheels fall off.”

And for all of you viewing in any corner of the world, I'm Jay Kronz, CEO of Empower Network. And I could not be happier to be coming to you live tonight for Tactical Tuesday. You may be asking yourself, what do we have in store for you tonight? Well, other than a couple of surprises and a surprise gift that actually was the result of one of our VIP implementation webcasts following our live event, we are going to be digging deep into blogging tonight and what blogging tactics, techniques, and strategies are working to drive results in Empower Network today, literally talking you through what is being used at this moment by our top leaders in the field, leaders like Tracy Walker. Yes, she's going to be joining us. I can hear Dream Team sounding off in the background.
And that is what we're going to have for Tactical Tuesday this evening. And I will deliver on the promise that I gave you that you will have a special surprise gift that is going to be, I don't want to give it away, but it's something that, if used, it will simplify and supercharge your Kalatu blogging adventure in ways that right now you can't even imagine. Now I know, bold claim, and I intend on backing it up with an unbelievable gift that you're going to have as our guests tonight on this fine Tactical Tuesday. But before I go any further, and I already let the cat out of the bag about who our unbelievable special guest is, our field leader, Tracy Walker, million dollar ring earner, let's go ahead and meet the other guests that I have on the line with me tonight. As always, I'm joined by our resident blogging diva, Michelle Schaefer. Michelle, say hi to everybody.
And Michelle, I'm not sure. Yeah, you were muted there for your hello. And I want them to be able to hear your voice. Hello. Excellent. Well, I couldn't be doing a Tactical Tuesday about blogging without you by my side.
So thank you very much for being here. Tracy's going to be joining us shortly. Hopefully, you're all excited about the secret special gift is going to be coming a little bit later in the broadcast. If you're here in the chat, welcome. We're glad to have you wherever you may be plugging in from. Tonight's broadcast has one sole purpose.
And that is going to be answering the questions you have about blogging. Where are you getting stuck? Why aren't you blogging every day? What aspects of blogging do you find that you struggle with over and over and over again? Is it how to choose the right headline? Is it the structure of your post or the length that's appropriate?
Is it how do you use video or audio or other forms of media in your blog post if you don't just feel like doing a text based post that day? And we also may be joined by some other special guests. As you may know, we are joined by some other members of our marketing team on the call tonight. Right now, I only see a still picture of them. So I don't know if they're here or not. I think they're just here to make sure I don't embarrass myself.
I'm here, John. I'm here, John. I'm the voice of the universe right now. Ladies and gentlemen, for those of you that are watching the pulsating circle around that scary picture, that is actually the voice of our CMO, Mars Burden, who at this point may be wearing a hat so embarrassing that he's chosen not to make himself available on video for us this evening. So as you can tell, we're going to have a lot of fun tonight. And the reason we're going to have a lot of fun tonight is because blogging is supposed to be fun.
Now, let's also talk about what you see on the page before we kick things off tonight. You're, of course, going to see a banner that says Join Empower Network Now. That's pretty blatant. That banner is there for one reason and one reason only, which is if you're here tonight and you're still checking us out and you're still wondering what blogging can do for your business or when you're going to take the next step, the answer is now. And the way is by clicking that button. That's going to give you an opportunity to find out more about and take a test drive, a spin of our blogging platform, Kalatu, the industry-leading, first-of-its-kind blog designed to effortlessly allow you to brand yourself online to drive results for your home-based business here at Empower Network or with whatever opportunity you choose to promote.
You're also going to see a link there that has a new member. Click here to get your all-in discount. That link is there for one reason and one reason only. To allow those of you that have recently joined us and are prepared to be all in, which you'll hear about that a little bit tonight, you have that link there to take advantage of and get all in in your business. And for many of you who are joining us recently, check your back office because you do have a countdown timer of a time-sensitive, one-time-only savings opportunity for being all in in your business. It's something you won't find a second time.
It will never be duplicated. So make sure at some point throughout the evening you check your back office and look at that timer because it's an opportunity that allows you to be all in in your business, both from a place of product ownership and a place of mental commitment that has been the common denominator in driving the results of over $150 million in global sales and $14 million rings given out here at Empower Network. Now, of course, those results aren't typical. You can see our income disclaimer at empowernetwork.com forward slash income. That's what you're looking at on the page. And of course, you see our chat box.
You're going to be joined by, at present, probably 1,500, 1,600 people. Sometimes it gets up over 2,000. So you've got a global community plugged into this chat room that are all going to be asking their questions about blogging. So we have a real community here with us tonight on Tactical Tuesday. And again, if you're checking us out for the first time, we're glad you're here. We know that you're going to walk away with in-the-trenches blogging techniques that are working now.
And that's where we're going to be starting tonight, is literally supercharging your blogging and making sure it's driving results. And of course, we're a little bit biased. Kolatu is, without question, the most powerful platform on the planet. If you're blogging on anything else, you're not really blogging. You'd have to see it to believe it. You'd have to see our 21-day blogging challenge plug-in.
It literally is the fastest, easiest, most intuitive interface. If Apple made a blogging platform, it would look like Kolatu. And you've got to join to see that. So without further ado, I'd like to go ahead and begin to dive into what we have for you tonight. So I'd like to go ahead and introduce, again, our resident blogging diva, Michelle Schaefer, who's going to start our topic for the evening in supercharging your blogging. And remember, you've got a special free gift coming.
You're going to have to stay tuned to make sure you get it, because it's only here. After a VIP broadcast from our last event, we literally created this at the request of our VIP attendees. You're not going to want to miss this. So without further ado, Michelle, what do we have for them tonight? Hey, so are we ready to reveal the gift and let them download that so we can go over it? You know, I don't know.
Let's look at the chat box, because right now we have 1,580 people on it. I'm just going to ask you, for all 1,580 of my closest friends, if you're ready, I want you to type in the chat box, I'm ready. Say you're ready, say you're ready. I'm going to say, oh, all right, all right, moving, moving, moving, yes, yes, now, ready, hi, JC. Well, that's not really ready, but I appreciate the hello. Thank you for the shout out.
Woot, woot, yes, yes, ready, you know. Michelle, at this point, if we don't give it to them, all they're going to keep doing is spamming the chat box with I'm ready. So let's go ahead, let's show them what we have for them tonight, an exclusive Tactical Tuesday giveaway. All right, it is live on the page. Oh, my goodness, it's amazing. The button just popped up, click here for a surprise gift, and there's even a little gift box.
This is outstanding. Michelle, what do we have here? What do we have? Well, behind gift box number one, we have something that, as you said, came out of last week's VIP webcast. We were having this conversation with Tracy Walker about her blogging strategies and how what she's doing is really working, and she was sharing with us. She pulled all these notebooks off her shelf from behind her, where she opened them up, put them up to the camera, and showed us that she plans out her blog post, and that she had this worksheet that she used to do that, that helped her to jot down ideas and to focus on the right things.
So we took that idea, and we ran with it. And we created this for all of our bloggers that helps you to brainstorm out your blog post in a way that focuses you on all the right actions. You know, Michelle, if I may, let me interrupt for a moment here, because obviously we're now at over 1,600 people that are here watching this, shouting that they're ready, downloading this blogging planner, and there are rare opportunities that I have that I can publicly brag about our team and about how awesome they are, and this is one of them. I don't know of any other company in our industry or any industry that literally, in less than a week after being requested and identifying a tool that needed to be created, that they are able to turn it out this quickly, present it this publicly, and equip our team literally, free of charge. Whether you're an Empower Network member or not, this is something that is going to allow you to supercharge your blogging. If you are an Empower Network member, it's not only going to allow you to supercharge your blogging with the best blogging platform ever created, but you're also going to be able to build your business using industry-leading tools like this that have been validated by a million-dollar ring earner.
This is not something that is guesswork. This is not something that is hope. This is not something that is crystal-gripping fuzzy bunnies. This is in the trenches. It works. Use it, and we're going to tell you how tonight.
So, Michelle, I just wanted to take my hat off to our team here. I'm amazed at how quickly we can provide these tools and equip this market to take advantage of this blogging opportunity. Did you say you were wearing a hat and you're taking it off? Is that true? Well, I mean, I'm not wearing a hat, but if I was, it's the proverbial hat off, and I do want to amend my comment. I am ridiculously proud of every member of our team except our CMO, Mars Burden.
So, now that we've clarified that, Michelle, the blogging team, unbelievable work. We're just going to hope that Mars doesn't get in the way of it for the remainder of the evening. Well, I have to share with you a little more of how this came to be, John, and that's that after the conversation with Tracy, we actually went and looked, and we researched our top bloggers. We went and looked at Dave's blog, we went and looked at Tracy's blog, and other people to find what were the common themes, the common things they were all doing, and advising their teams to do. And that's how we came up with what we put on here as the actions to take, which I'll go over step by step in a minute. The other thing that I have to admit, though, is that as I was helping to put this together, the voice in my head was Mars, our CMO, repeatedly saying, monetize your blog, don't just focus on content, don't just focus on inspiration, because he knows me.
I tend to focus on the inspirational piece of things, and sometimes I forget to connect it to the money, which that's not a good idea, because if you're going to be putting your time and your energy into blogging, you want to make profit with it, and that's what Kalatsu is designed to do. So you can see there's only one orange thing on this worksheet, and it's where it says, monetize it. What product, service, event, or list builder are you promoting? It's a very important square to make sure that you're aware of and fill in for every blog post you write. What is it that you're promoting so that you know when you write how to write to that? And with the Call to Actions that are built into Kalatsu, you guys already know this is easy to do.
But be aware of what it is that you're promoting. So let's kind of go over this real quick, starting at the top, and the way that you guys want to use this is print out multiple copies of it. So that each day when you sit down to write your blog post, you can go through this, because this covers not just your content, but it also goes through search engine optimization, it goes through what needs to be included, and Anna, if you're watching, Anna Zubarov, I made sure we put Pinterest on here, and including a pinnable image, I know you've been very focused on how much traffic that can drive for people. But we put all the promotion strategies on here you need to focus on, the different things that you need to include with check boxes so it's super easy. Starting at the top, you've got a place to write your title, your category, the date that you're going to publish this, and your keywords to help you focus on that as you work through your content. And then you can see there's a checklist.
Is your draft done? Have you added visuals to it? Very, very important. If you look at bloggers who are getting a lot of traffic right now, every blog post they publish has an image in it. Why? Because we're all crazy about Pinterest, about Instagram, about Facebook, these places that those images are what catch people's attention.
So make sure you have a visual in your post. And tip, if you're in the 21 Day Blogging Challenge, you've got a PDF that gives you 20 free image resources that are copyright free, that are okay to use on your blog. If you're not in the 21 Day Challenge, join it. That's all I'll say there. But make sure you've got a visual in there. You've got a box for SEO.
Have you considered that? And there's a little more on that in a minute. Did you edit it? Did you proofread your post? It's a very important step. Unless you want to hit publish and realize you had a type up in your title that has now been tweeted 100 times.
Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything there, but make sure you proofread your post. Have you scheduled it? Have you published it? Another common theme that you'll see in what leaders are doing and what's working right now is to write your content ahead of time and schedule it so that you're consistent with it. So that even if you've got a crazy day or you've got a day where you've got webcasts or something else going on, you still have content going live on your blog. So consider using that feature.
Under share and discuss, did you include a shareable image? Did you include a tweetable quote? Now if you're wondering how to do those, there's a site called clicktotweet.com. Clicktotweet.com that will let you create a little link that if somebody clicks it, it tweets it for you with whatever text you put in there. So a quote from your article, your blog post. And then did you include a question at the end of your post?
If you go read Dave's blog post, you see how many comments he gets? One of the ways he does that is because he always asks a question at the end that gets people to want to respond. If I ask you a question, do you want to answer me? I'm gonna imagine you all saying yes. Yes, you want to answer somebody. So ask a question in your post.
It will help you get discussion going. Make sure that's in there. And then you've got a section for SEO. Are your keywords in your title? Are your keywords in your content? Is your image named related to your keywords?
And do you have your keywords in your alt tag for your images? Those are all things you could easily do with Klatu. And then think about outbound links. Who are you linking to? And what are you linking to within your own blog? Another thing you'll notice is a common theme in blogs that are successful is they link back to their own posts.
So if they talk about a subject a second time or they're writing a series, they will put links in each post to the other post. That'll help you in the search engines. Linking out to great content is also really helpful when it comes to search engine optimization. So those are five things that you can do in every post that are simple. They only take a minute, but they can make a huge difference in the results you get. Then you've got a promote box there.
So after you hit publish, have you promoted these different ways? Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, and did you email it to your list? I promise you, if you take all those actions daily, you are gonna see your traffic skyrocket. And if you're using the features built into Kallatsu like opt-in simple, then you're gonna see your leads go up along with that. And if you're using the lead pages that we give you and that you're letting the follow-up sequences go to your people, you're gonna see sales start to come from that. So it helps you turn that traffic into leads, into sales.
And then you've got all your brainstorming boxes here. You've got room to write down some main points. What are the main ideas you wanna get across? What are some notes you wanna make sure you don't forget something? Things that you want to do. Visuals to include.
And then of course, the monetize it box. Don't forget to fill that in. What are you promoting in this post? And then links, research, and similar blogs. So as you can see, the way you use this is by starting with all those brainstorming boxes right at the bottom, and then as you go through it, filling in the ones at the top, checking those off. And this gives you a really solid plan to create the kind of content that will get you results, that will attract traffic, that will turn that traffic into leads who want to know more about you, who want to know how did you figure this code out?
How did you figure out how to make money with your blog? And then those people are gonna want to work with you to join your team to find out more. And here's another tip. This is something you can share. So share it with people who are prospects, who are interested in Kalatu, but they're not sure if they're ready to switch, or they're ready to give it a try. Show them the kind of tools that we're giving you, that we're providing.
Because like John said, this is stuff that you don't get anywhere else. You don't see these types of support resources. As you guys know, through Kalatu, through all the tutorials in there, the 21 Day Blogging Challenge, we're giving people everything they need to succeed with profitable blogging. And this is just- Hey Michelle, let me ask you a question. And Mars is on here and he can verify this. I have no idea how Mars is able to get our team to churn out as many tools in between as many broadcasts with as many feature requests.
Like at this point, he has to have you guys all behind a locked door, no daylight, sliding pizza through a mail slot. It's the hat, man. I'm telling you, it's the hat. It's as simple as that. It's the hat. Well, I had to chime back in and find out, because as much as I joke with Mars on these livecasts, I'm incredibly proud of the team that he's helped put together.
And to be able to bring you guys tools like this as quickly as we're able to bring them to you, it's a tremendous source of pride. So I am hoping that all of you are going to take hold of this, make it your own, use it, and leverage the power that it has, because Michelle was not joking. Tracy literally pulled out binders of these and she's got a million dollar ring. Now her results aren't typical. You can see our average earnings disclaimer in powernetwork.com slash income. But what I can tell you is someone with a million dollar ring has binders full of content planners that look just like this.
Coincidence? I think not. No, it's not. And that was the cool thing for me when the team did some research for this. We went and looked at other blogs, at different planning systems, which most of them were missing the money piece, which is pretty key if you're gonna create a profitable blog. But when we looked at the other leaders, the other million dollar earners, the other people who have just skyrocketed from zero to 100,000, 200,000 this year, and we looked at their blogs, they were doing all the same core activities.
So that was really a cool thing to see that it really is just a pattern. It's a code. And once you figure that out and you follow it and you have the right tools and the right support around you, you can do it. Well, couldn't have said it better myself. We've put it together in a planner designed for one reason and one reason only, to help you structure what you're gonna write about, to make sure you publish it, and to make sure that you don't miss any area to drive traffic to it, monetize it, and make sure the world sees it. And this is something that there is an elegance to a planner like this, because it forces you into a construct where you can move through those boxes, and at the end of it, the work is done.
That so many times, and Marz says this often, but so many times you end up in this position where you ask yourself, how am I gonna eat an elephant? And the answer is always the same thing, one bite at a time. So this planner is actually designed to take you out of what I call paralysis. Like how many of you have been at the keyboard and you're just like this? Now you probably thought I lost my feet and I was in freeze frame there, but it not actually went down that way. I was driving home the point that many, many times you find yourself in front of your keyboard, frozen, and that's when the viral cat videos are where you go when you should be writing.
And the reason is because rather than just taking the first step and coming up with a topic or a title or thinking through how you will market it, you're viewing this mammoth task of the world is literally available through this monitor, and if you were speaking to all of connected humanity at this moment in time, what piece of wisdom would you give them? And guess what happens? That's it. This blogging planner is designed for one reason, to help take that process, make it bite size, make it consumable, make it actionable, take you out of that analysis paralysis and planning mode where you literally will end up spending hours not writing. This is what Dave Wood talks about, where Dave Wood talks about this idea that if you were to hire yourself, how would you respond to the way that you're blogging right now? The answer is a lot of us would probably fire ourselves because normally when you sit down to write a blog post, you almost end up on Facebook, and then you start liking everybody else's posts.
And then before you know it, you've liked a lot of posts, but somebody had a cool picture, and you're looking at their picture, and you're like, wow, they went to the Greek islands. I would love to go to the Greek islands. And four weeks later, you're an expert on Santorini, you know the sun sets in Ea, and you know you'd love to go there, and you still haven't written a blog post, and you have no idea how a month has transpired and your business isn't growing. This blogging planner is designed to take you out of that cycle and move you into action. All you need to do is fill in one box at a time. And I promise you, the first box will be the most challenging, and every subsequent box following is gonna get easier and easier and easier as you move into the habit and benefit from the momentum of building blogging daily into your habits.
So that's why we created this planner. That's the purpose behind it. We're incredibly excited to bring it to you. And Michelle, I know the join button just replaced that blogging planner, so let's make sure we flash that back up for everyone or keep it on the page when we have an opportunity. And also everyone, we also have our question box there. So what I'd like to go ahead and do now is pause for a moment before we're joined by the illustrious Tracy Walker.
I'd like to take some questions from everyone on the blogging planner and how to leverage it. So Michelle, let's go ahead and dig in and take some questions from our audience. Absolutely. So one of the first questions that came in was related to what I mentioned, looking at all the blogs of the top earners. And the question was what were the three most common things that I found between the top performers who blog? And the answer to that, honestly, would be number one, they're blogging consistently.
If you check their blogs, it's not blog once, wait six months, and then post something else. They're regularly putting new content on their blog. Number two, they're always tying it back to an offer of some sort. Whether it's a free offer to get on their list or to go to an opt-in page, or whether it's something for sale, they're always tying it back to an offer. And the third thing, you can tell that they are out there promoting their blog posts consistently. I see them on Facebook, I see them on Twitter, I see them on Pinterest.
They've got a plan for that and they're following it. So those are the three most common things that I'm seeing when I looked at the top performer blogs. Well, the one thing that I do want to drive home, Michelle, that I think you said that I think so often gets overused. Not overused in the sense that it's not foundational, but overused in the sense that we hear it so often, we tune it out. And that word that you used, consistency, is without question one of my favorite words on the planet. And for those of you that are on here tonight, I'm gonna share a little bit of a surprise with you of something that's coming that we've been working on in the lab here at Empower Network.
And it's actually something called Empower Network Rising Stars. And this is going to be, I've now probably met six or eight new affiliates that I've never met before and I've interviewed them. And they all range in different levels of success from part-time income to full-time income to their first commission to industry icons and everything in between. And what's been amazing is how often consistency is brought up. And I wanna share with you the importance of consistency. And it's really unbelievably simple when you think about it.
Because I know right now you're thinking, well, why should I blog consistently? Why should I make sure that I'm getting everyone watching my blog in the habit of seeing me regularly? And the answer is this. You know the hours that your bank is open. You know the hours that your grocery store is open. You know the hours that your auto mechanic is open.
If you drove to the grocery store at 10 a.m. and you were gonna pick up turkey for a sandwich you're gonna make for lunch and the grocery store just happened to be closed, you'd probably be bothered. And then you'd walk over to the door and you'd see where their hours are posted. And when you realize that they don't really have any hours because they just open when they want and close when they want, you'd probably find a grocery store that you could have a level of predictability. You could have a level of certainty of knowing that when I need to go buy turkey, I can walk in there and I can buy my turkey. Your blog is no different.
Your brand, your story is going to resonate with people. You are going to have individuals that are waiting for your next post. They are waiting for your next piece of insight or story or an opportunity to bond with you or to learn something from you. That's what they're gonna be waiting on. And if they have to guess when it's coming, if they see you blog three times in one week and then once a month next month and then once every cattil's day the following month, they're probably gonna not put a lot of faith in making sure that they come back to your blog the same time every day because they're not getting what they need. There's a magic in that consistency and that's why you hear us talk about it that often.
So Michelle, sorry for interrupting. I just wanted to drive that home. I know we have a couple more questions. No, I totally agree. And it's the consistency both in posting and in promotion. I'll start kind of an embarrassing story here.
About a year ago, I had been blogging really consistently and following a promotional plan. Kind of like the one that we put in the checklist with the little boxes of make sure that you promote on all these social networking sites. And I've talked about that on webcast before. I have a plan of the 15 things that I do after I get published. Well, I got really busy and I let that part of it slide but I didn't really stop and think that I had. I was still publishing content and leaving it at that.
And I went to look at my traffic numbers and realized that I had gone from like 40,000 unique visitors and 250,000 page views down to about half that. I'm looking all over my stats going, what did I do wrong? Is my content not good? What did I change? And I suddenly realized I wasn't consistently promoting it. And it made my traffic drop that dramatically when I didn't keep that consistency.
So it really is huge to make sure that you are posting consistently and promoting it, sharing it with people. It's a big one. I mean, if it's not there consistently, you're not training your audience when they can find you, when they can meet with you. I mean, if you look at the role schedule plays in our life, every store that you visit has operating hours. Every television show you watch has a regular slot. Every time you go anywhere, it's normally by appointment if you're seeing somebody that's important.
Consistency, scheduling, it provides a rhythm for life and it allows all of us to get into habits. How many of you have realized that the habits you do at the same time every day stick and the habits that you just intend on fitting in and live on your to-do list perpetually never seem to get done? Blogging is no different. And I want to drive that home. And I feel like that hopefully everybody on here knows how important consistency is to me. And if it's important to me, it's important to you and it's important to your business because the only reason I'm here is to grow your business.
So Michelle, do we have any more questions? Or did we cover that list at least initially? I know we're going to take more questions when we're joined by Tracy this evening. We've got a ton of questions coming in. So just really quickly, John, you've got a bunch of people asking how do they get access to Kolatu? What's the story behind the 21 day blogging challenge?
Do you want to share that with them? We've got dozens and dozens of questions coming in about it. Absolutely. And there are a few things that I enjoy talking about more than that exact topic. So for those of you on the page right now that are wondering, how do I get access to a blogging platform that's this powerful? How do I get access to the type of things that you're talking about tonight?
How do I get involved with an organization and a tool that has this type of a content planner created for it? Those are all great questions. And the answer is it's as simple as the giant Join Empower Network Now box to the right of what you're watching me on. And you're going to click the button that says click here to join. It's green, it's friendly, it's circled in yellow, and it's calling out to you. Click that button.
And yes, I'm telling you to click that button. I'm not asking you. I'm not cajoling you. I'm not begging you. I am telling you to click that button. Because after you do, here's what's going to happen.
It's going to take you to a page. Don't worry. The video page is going to stay open, and you're going to be able to hear everything that's going on, watching everything that's going on. You won't miss a thing. But it's going to give you the opportunity to join the ranks of one of the most elite blogging communities of inspired entrepreneurs the world has ever seen. Our Kolatu blogging platform is something that makes blogging effortless.
You're going to have the opportunity to leverage our 21-day blogging challenge plugin, which makes creating content as easy as one, two, three. Every single element is formulaic. We've literally put you on a greased slide to ensure that at the end of it, you end up with powerful blog posts that people want to read about whatever you're passionate about. And guess what? If you're interested in learning how to make money on the side or even replace your income with a full-time opportunity, the Kolatu blogging platform and Empower Network can show you how to do that.
You're going to be hearing from Tracy Walker, a million-dollar ring earner, a field leader with a team of thousands around her that based all of that success and built it all from blogging, from this idea of having a home on the internet where people can identify and connect with you in a meaningful way, it can't be beat. It truly is the secret sauce that has led Dave Wood and Empower Network to do over $150 million in sales globally and create $14 million ring earners in its history. Now, those results aren't typical. You can see our average earnings disclaimer at EmpowerNetwork.com forward slash income. But what I can tell you is this. If you're asking me what is in common with $14 million ring earners or what's in common with countless six-figure earners or what's in common with a global brand that is touching the lives of entrepreneurs in countries all over this world, the foundational driver is blogging.
The foundational driver is our home on the internet where we connect with people regularly through the power of the Kolatu platform. You have that power available to you. It's one click away. Click the friendly green button and let us get started helping you build your home here online. And on that note, I'd like to go ahead and I'm going to now introduce our esteemed guest for the night, Ms. Tracy Walker.
Now, Tracy Walker, you're going to meet her. And she is an absolute fireball. Her energy is unparalleled. Her insights are unbelievable. Her story is one of triumph and achievement. And she's done all of it while having an amazing family and living life on her terms.
She's also our first female million dollar ring earner. And I couldn't be happier to introduce you all tonight to someone that you may know and already love if you do know her, Ms. Tracy Walker. Tracy, how you doing? Hey, J. Cron, I am phenomenal excited to be here as always.
How are you? Oh, man, any better and I'd be two people. You know, anytime we get to jump online with, I mean, literally approaching 1,700 of my closest friends and talk to them about a technology that I believe has truly reached a critical mass. You know, there's nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come. And we operate in an industry that is looking for a better way, an industry that's looking for a way to reach people and build a brand that's not dictated by grabbing your friends and family, dragging them to a hotel meeting at the Radisson that they don't want to go to in hopes of building a business. And I know for you, blogging has played a pivotal role in you being able to build a team that spans the globe and generate, you know, unbelievable seven-figure ring-oriented results.
So, I mean, Tracy, when somebody, if somebody walked up to you on the street, you've never met them before, and they said, Tracy, I heard this thing called a blog and the word sounds weird and I don't really understand what it is. How would you describe what a blog is and what you use it for and the results that it's had in your business? Sure, that's easy. That doesn't mean I'm asking something hard. You know, I have to… I'm just warming up.
I'm just warming up. The hard questions are gonna come from our audience. We've got a ton of people that are gonna ask you crazy difficult questions. Don't worry, they're coming. Okay, okay, well, this is a good entry question. All right, a blog is nothing more than an online journal.
It's short, the term is called weblog, right? And they just kind of shortened it for blog. And if you've ever written a diary or you've kept a journal or you've done anything where you've written down thoughts of that sort, a blog is your online version of that. So people, back when they first kind of came out, people would use them in that way, right? But as business owners, as entrepreneurs, we can leverage this exact same concept of sharing our thoughts. And they might not necessarily be about, oh, my day, right?
It might not be your diary or all your deepest secrets, but it is about things that you have an interest in. Maybe it is in reference to a cause that you are passionate about and you blog and you share about that. Maybe it is in reference to a business that you are a part of and you're sharing the products and the services and the benefits and the results that if someone were to take part in the product or utilize it, what they would benefit from it. Maybe it's about, you're a parent and you are the soccer coach, right? And you are showcasing all of the talent on your soccer team, the students, the athleticism, maybe they're gonna get picked up at different levels, college, getting scholarships and you're trying to showcase them in all their video. Maybe it's that, right?
Maybe you're a sports buff and you like controversy over the Patriots and these people, whoever, right? You can blog about any number of things and you can make money from it if you do it the right way. And that's kind of what we're in this meeting with tonight, this kind of sharing mode tonight, is to show people how they can make money with this little thing called a blog that so easily you can have online working for you in minutes. Well, you know, it's funny, Tracy, when you actually brought up the fact that it's a weblog, I mean, I immediately went to like my secretly nerdy place and I totally pictured, you know, Star Trek and the Priceline negotiator, his name, I can't think of his name. William Shatner. William Shatner and yeah, I appreciate that because I've gone to his cherry horse show in Hollywood, I've worked with him and I couldn't remember his name.
But when Tracy said weblog, all nerdy J. Cron wanted to hear is Captain's Log, you know, Star Date, whatever. And so I'm picturing, you know, and it's so amazing when you think of the fact that blogs started as a weblog, literally an online journal. And what it has turned into is an opportunity to connect on a global scale. And it's amazing that technology has given people the ability to take something that previously would have lived in a leather book on a bookshelf somewhere and be able to leverage that to connect with like-minded individuals, whether it be for business or hobby or whatever it happens to be, it's really a unique genesis of the way technology has affected the way that we connect and the way that we interact. So Tracy, if you were to look at your time blogging and not only what it's meant for your business, I mean, I could do an entire webcast about the results that you've achieved and what it's meant financially.
And, you know, maybe tonight you can tell us a little bit about, you know, what you and Kilo are up to down there in Atlanta and, you know, how everything's going. I know there's a new boat in the picture and I know there's a lot of fun being had. But if you were to look at your favorite story that blogging has created, whether it's connecting with someone in a meaningful way, a team member that found you and had a kinship with a story that you shared, if you were to look at the word blog and your favorite story attached with building your business via blog, what would it be? Now that, now we're getting into the more intermediate, you know, higher level questions there. You kind of called me out. Like I asked you a great question and you're just like, got that, you know.
And I mean, for those of you that don't know, Tracy and I have always had like a very unique back and forth friendship because I like to make innocent comments and she likes to make me feel retarded for making innocent comments. So, you know, like we're out to dinner and I've told this story a couple of times, but, you know, with 1800 or so of you on, it's probably a lot of new people. And I went out to dinner with Tracy and here we are in her home city, Atlanta. And, you know, we're out at this nice restaurant and, you know, I'm in the valet line and I'm traveling. So I'm in the valet line waiting for my cab to take me back to my hotel so I can fly out to the next city. And all I hear behind me being a complete car nut that I am, I hear this, like I hear this engine spool up and you can completely tell when it is an Italian performance car versus anything else.
It's an unmistakable sound that when it starts up, all males immediately turn and look. So, of course, I did what any male would do. I immediately turn and look. And I turn around to see Tracy getting into a Maserati and a Quattroporte Coupe, is that? A GranTurismo. GranTurismo, sorry, apologies.
GranTurismo. And I said, Tracy, is that your car? And she looks at me and says, mama don't play. And I was like, I'm gonna take that to mean that that is her car and how I ever would have implied that it wasn't, I should be ashamed of myself and I have not made that same mistake again. Because tell you what, there's a woman that's gonna drive GranTurismo, it's Tracy Walker. So, Tracy, back at the ranch, favorite blogging story.
You know, that helped me to buy some time to think too. So I was so grateful for that. Although it's such an interesting story because that was the first time that we actually met. And that is a true story. As I was kind of scanning my brain for this, I would have to say, there's probably a lot, but what means the most to me is, I have a section set up on my blog where new members who join my team, this is the welcome page, right? So instead of sending them a welcome email, or I mean, only a welcome email, the welcome email leads them to this page, or just a web page itself, my welcome page is set up on my blog, right?
And step one of what, so there's a video up there that welcomes them and stuff like that, but step one is leave me a comment as to why you must be successful with Empower Network, why does this have to work for you, right? And the comments that are starting to accumulate with new people telling me, listen, I've gotta make this work because I take care of my elderly parents and I've gotta make enough money so that I can retire them and put them on my ranch with my horses, right? I've gotta make this work because I am a grandparent who is now the parent of a child, right? Well, my grandchild, I'm custodial parent of this grandchild, and now although I thought I was done, I'm not, right? So my retirement funds, they're not gonna work enough for me, I have to make sure that my grandson is on board too. And as I watch these comments that come in from technically strangers, right?
They're new to me, I've never met them before except through our community. It is literally empowering to know that had I not had this blog, how would I have been able to leverage hearing the stories of what people wanna accomplish and do from a positive point where they are stating why they have to be successful? So it's not necessarily one story, J.Cron, but it is, I would say, my ability to hear the numerous stories by leveraging this blog that anybody can access at any time. And it's just one of the most rewarding things, and it's something new that I've started in my process. And I tell you, every day I get up and I look at these comments, and I'm literally floored by the array of accomplishments that people want to attain by blogging and being successful here. Well, Tracy, I have an easy question for you now because I'm gonna alternate.
Don't worry, there's a hard one coming after this. But Carrie Kelly actually asked in chat, and now I know the story, but I know that many of our guests do not. And even if you've been in Empower a very long time, this is a Tracy Walker story that you may have never heard before. Carrie Kelly actually said, ask her why she bought the car, and she followed it up with, it is a good story, exclamation point. So I'd like you to share with everyone, Tracy, and I know that this car for you is not only a combination of accomplishment met with intention, but I'd like you to share with everyone what prompted you to buy this unbelievably gorgeous, immaculately engineered Italian coupe. Tell us about it.
You know, I would see these cars, let me just say, I'm not even like the car fanatic. I'm a house fanatic, right? People that know me, cars are nice, and I've got a nice one, but I'm a car fanatic, I mean, I'm a house fanatic. But I would see people getting these different cars, and I didn't know what kind of car I wanted. I just wanted something, an upgrade from, you know, I had a Lexus, I still have the Lexus, right? It's paid off, so I'm gonna drive that thing until the wheels fall off.
That's what I'm talking about. Right, it's the millionaire next door. I still have that car, and we're gonna roll it until it can't roll anymore, right? But I bought that car when I first got laid off, okay, back in 2002. And so that was my dream car back then, and I made that happen through my business, because I had just been laid off, no income. So now I said, well, you know, I want a different kind of car, if I can step it up.
And I would see people talking about these Bentley's, and, you know, these Maybachs, and of course, I'm not Maybach range yet, but I would see them. And, you know, I started kind of searching around, and I said, well, what kind of car would I like? You know, the Audis, and all these different coupes, and, you know, I saw this Maserati, it was a white one, actually, because I kind of Googled it, and I saw a white Maserati, and I posted on my fan page back then. I mean, if you scroll back on my fan page, you go all the way back to like 2011, I think. I said, you know what, I like this car. I just, it just looks sexy sitting there.
It was all, you know, cooped out, it had the dark tint on it, on the middle of the roof of a building. And I said, I want this car. And it was no real rhyme or reason why, I had never driven a Maserati before, I'd heard about them, but there was no, there was nothing more that I liked the way it looked, okay? So I put this on my vision board, and I proclaimed on my wall, on my page, on Facebook, that within a year, I am gonna have this car. By this time next year, I'm gonna have this car. And this was prior to Empower Network.
I had no idea how I was gonna do it, right? I mean, me and Dave were friends, but this vehicle didn't exist yet. And so I'm like, I'm gonna have this car. Well, as we kind of get going, maybe a couple months later, Empower Network launches, right? We start this wonderful company, and I was able to start kind of exponentially growing my income base to purchase this car, right? So we went on and on and on and on.
I saved up enough, because I spent a whole year saving, right? About a year and a half, well, almost half a year to a year saving, right? I didn't just go out and get financed for the whole, you know, $107,000. I literally saved and saved and saved and saved and saved. I think I put down like 70 or $80,000 on this car, right? That's how you do it.
There's no doubt about it, you know? Nobody wants to walk into the Maserati dealer and be like, all right, so can you finance this over 15 years, please? Right, I mean, I was ready, J.Cron. I wasn't playing any games. I wanted a yes, right? I knew that the value was gonna be there, and I had skin in the game.
So I go in and I say, okay, I want this car. So then I get connected with a guy that sells these cars. He's a broker, and I said, I want this car. I want this color, right? I want this interior. I want the red interior.
I want the dark silver gray exterior. You know, I want these wheels. I want this, I want that. And he went to town looking for the car. He emailed me back one car, and it was off, right? I think it was a black car with tan interior.
And I was like, hmm, and it was a little bit cheaper, right, than the one that I wanted. And I said, well, hmm, okay. And I started to say yes, but then something happened where the lender that was gonna do that car, the inspection didn't pass, something. So that car went away. So then the dealer brought me back another car, and it was slightly off again, right? And I started to say, well, but in my heart, it wasn't my car.
It was the Maserati Grand 3, but it wasn't my car. So I kind of looked, and I wasn't feeling it all the way. I said, well, all right, I can still get the car. I think it was like white or something. And then, you know, something happened with that, like the mileage wasn't right and something else. And I told the guy, I said, no, we just, I think we just gotta keep going until we find the car.
Lo and behold, the third time was a charm. He came back, it was the exact exterior color. It was the exact interior color. The mileage was perfect. The year was spot on. The price point was right where we needed it to be.
And everything worked out so awesomely that the car was actually delivered to me, Jay. I didn't have to go pick up the car. The car was shipped from Miami to my home. Of course. I mean, why in the world would you want to go pick up the car? I mean, because, you know, you're at home, focused on your business, you know, blogging, doing your thing from your house.
I didn't have time. I didn't have time to go out. Just go out and bring it up to the house, yeah. That's right. You know, ain't nobody got time for that. So they delivered the car, which we actually captured on film, right?
I showcased that when we were in Austin, Texas. And people saw me jumping up and down on YouTube and I got this car and I talked about that whole thing. And the thing that that car does for me, even to this point, to this day, because I don't wanna even drive, I may drive it a couple times a week now because we're just kind of coming out of the winter season here in Atlanta. But when I get into that car and I smell that fine Italian leather and it's just, you know, I turn it on, the ignition in the garage, I have to light up the door, right? And it's just all the sound is kind of echoing in, right? And the pipes are just, you know, shivering or whatever.
What comes to my mind is that, man, this business, this industry works, right? It works. And if nothing more, I can drive this car and I can show people that it can happen for you, right? I'm just a regular chick. I'm from the South side of Chicago. There's nothing super special.
I was not born with a silver spoon. I worked this from the ground up. It's sweat equity in this whole thing. And to be able to have a car that, you know, versus the payment is nothing, right? Cause it's just a couple of dollars on it. It just feels so good to be able to drive it knowing that my team helped me, right?
That we did this together. And that is, it is a showpiece of what's possible more than just the, hey, look what I got type of thing. Although it is kind of cool to look at. And if I remember correctly, Tracy, didn't the exterior color and the interior color turn out to match what you had on your vision board? Yes, exactly right. It was the exact car, the silver and the red.
And I say, you know, nothing more, there's nothing more amazing than deciding that you want something in your mind, right? And then a slight variation of it comes to you, right? And you could choose to digress from the vision because it seemingly fits almost enough, right? But I didn't. And I said, no, let's just keep going. It was close enough, but it wasn't right on.
And I had to reject the car twice, which is a, it's a hard thing to do to see a car come across that you really want and not know if the silver and red is gonna actually come to you, especially as a broker is looking for it and reject two previous cars with the hopes of having the one. And because I rejected the two, the one finally came in. And so the story I would say that the whole point of this story is when you can see something so clearly in your head, sometimes things will come to you that looks like it's almost it. And if you get anxious and you get too overzealous and you get impatient, then you'll act and you'll jump before the timing is right where everything will work out and everything falls into place. So for me, it fell into place. I love my car.
I'm so grateful. I'm gonna start driving a lot more often. Somebody asked me, was I gonna be driving to Nashville? It's not that far. I might drive it to Nashville. We'll see.
No, you don't put miles on a Italian car like that, but hey, we'll see. You know, Tracy, it's fun to have you on these and I wish I could have you on all of them because they just have so much fun when you're on here. It's just a blast having you. And you have a lot of records to your name, you know, one of them being, of course, our first female million dollar ring earner, which is outstanding. Another record that you also have that you may not know about, you receive more questions when you are on here from our illustrious audience than any other guests that we have. We literally, at this point, are over 100 plus questions that have been asked from chat just for you.
That actually includes Neil Patel. So Tracy, that's a pretty distinct honor, if you ask me. Really? So Tracy, if you wanted to beat anyone tonight, you have now trounced Neil Patel as it relates to questions that inquiring minds want to know. Oh my goodness. Well, thank you guys for the honor.
I love, let's stay here all night. Let's answer everyone's questions. So without further ado, Tracy, I'm going to turn this over to our resident in-house blogging diva, Michelle Schaefer. Let's start getting some of these questions from our audience asked to the illustrious Tracy Walker. Michelle. Absolutely, and yeah, Tracy, the questions are scrolling just as fast as the chat box tonight.
We went over 100 quite a while ago. Oh my God, that's crazy. You've got lots of questions coming in. So let's jump into them. The first one is from Harris, and he asks, so are you suggesting people blog about their passion and not about business stuff? What I'm suggesting is that you blog about what is easy enough for you to blog about so that you do it consistently.
I think you should blog about what is important to you, because you can always bridge a message with a call to action of some sort. So if you want to blog about, I don't know, scissors with red grips, that's your thing, then you've got to figure out, A, the market of people that are interested in these things, where they hang out, and then you've got to write your blog post that satisfy the questions, the needs, the concerns, the interests of the people who like red-handled scissors, and then you've got to figure out how you can bridge that over into how you can make money. So with your call to action, you'll have to do that. But you blog about what you want, you make money when you can bridge it over to a call to action that then leads people to make a buying decision. Awesome answer, and I just got to say, for those of you who have not played with Kalatu yet, what Tracy just talked about with bridging your content with a call to action is something that we built into Kalatu for you. It makes it super simple to do that.
Okay, next question here is from Kurt Forrester. He's asking, should I be sharing the link for these webcasts with my prospects? The links to these webcasts with your prospects. I don't know, I can't remember how these things are set up, these particular webcasts, right? Because some of them you can show, they might have replays, but then after the replay is over, it's not available anymore. Some of them are affiliate only, right?
So I would say if you can share the links to them with your prospects and get them here, yes, okay? But sometimes Empower may take them down, okay, because you only have a certain period of time to view this information, and you don't want to have it out there being promoted, and when someone clicks, it says this broadcast has ended, right? That wouldn't be a good look for you. So what I would really recommend is that you promote yourself, right, you promote yourself, you get people onto your list, and then you promote heavily to your list that this webcast is taking place the day and the time you invite them here, and they have to join it live like the rest of us do, right? I wouldn't necessarily put it in an autoresponder series, I wouldn't try to get people to look at replays so much, because you don't, I mean, I would just do it like that. I would blog, I would brand you, get people onto your list, promote this webcast through your list, invite people here, make sure they're here live, they're in the flesh, it's good, it's one time only.
If you miss it, too bad, too sad, I can't help you, and then you put the scarcity in there so that they get their butts in their seats to watch it live with you. That's what I would do. Awesome, all right, next question here is from Agnes. She asks, Tracy, how do you reply when someone tells you WordPress is free? I'll say you're absolutely correct. Is that more of that answer?
I mean, it's like this, look, you know, we've been talking about Italian cars here tonight, right? Let's put things in perspective, I don't want people to get bent out of shape, let's put things in perspective. Do you have to buy a $100,000 car to get to the doctor, right, to get to your hair appointment, to go to the grocery stores? Do you need to do that? No, couldn't you buy a car for a couple thousand dollars that got you there, right? And the difference between the two is essentially the $1,000 car is essentially free, right, it's cheap compared to an expensive Italian car that gets you from point A to point B.
That's the way I look at different tools, that's the way I look at resources, right? Could you get coaching for free? Yes, you could, but to get coaching from David Wood, it's a totally different thing, it's not free, it's the value that goes along with it. So same thing with these blog platforms, could you get WordPress for free? Yeah, you could, but I'm gonna tell you, I had a WordPress blog before Empower Network, and it was free, but I had to still work on my graphic design, I had to still work on content, I had to learn about plugins, I had to learn about widgets, I had to learn about all these, nobody gave me a blogging challenge where I had to come up, help me jog my memory for content, nobody taught me about SEO, we didn't have to have a community that talked about internal links and linking your posts to other posts so it makes sense, nobody talked to me about any of that stuff. You can get a WordPress blog, but it's just you and your little blog, just like this, just you and your blog, and you have no help, you have no community, you have no service, because I've tried to contact WordPress for help at times when I first got started, and I'm gonna tell you, when I first got going, I had to go on a WordPress chat, and people would come back every 15 hours because they were across the world, right?
Could you imagine not having something like this hangout and asking a question and I'm answering it in live, real time, what if you had to wait 15 hours from somebody over across the world to answer your questions? That's the way I built my business from the beginning, and it's not fun, it's not pretty. So for people that question you about the price of it, the price is not the issue. What we're talking about here is the value of something. You could get a Gucci bag and it costs a couple thousand dollars, right? Or you could just get a regular little purse from Walmart.
The carrying of the stuff is not what we're looking at. It's the value, right? It's the status, it's the prestige, it's the support, it's the recognition, it is the ability to be seen in an elite status with your blog and that you are a professional blogger and you know what you're doing, as opposed to coming in as a newbie being alone and you look like a newbie, your blog looks new because you still have the welcome new world or my new blog post as your first post because nobody ever taught you to delete that post, right? Hello world, the thing is what they say on there. So you want to have, look, for $25, don't even talk to me about free, right? I could see that Kalatu cost $5 billion, right?
Maybe, maybe. But for $25, really, we went to eat. We took my dad, my stepmom, my fiance and I, we went to go eat, there's a little burger place up the street and we ordered four burgers, three fries and onion rings, right? No, we did order it, but just me and Kilos, right? He ordered a double cheeseburger, I ordered a regular cheeseburger, he had onion rings, I had fries, guess what? It was $23 for burgers and fries, right?
That ain't right. It ain't right. Number one, that's expensive for a doggone burger, okay? But when we're talking about something that you can leverage your brand, you can build a business, it is sustainable, it is something that can reach across the globe, it spans the world, it is there 24-7, it has nothing to do with time zone, it has nothing to do with anything other than you putting your content up there and it can be a cash machine for you. Are you saying that you would rather not pay $25 to have the best WordPress-based blocking platform that exists or just rather have just a regular WordPress platform? It's up to them, it is free, but everything that's free ain't good.
So I'm just gonna say that. You know, actually, one thing I just wanna add before our resident blogging diva, Michelle, digs in with some more questions for you is, Tracy, you did such a great job of laying out the difference between something that's free and something that is carefully curated, purposefully planned and designed for a specific purpose. And I know that in my life, I've found that the most expensive type of information or the most expensive type of tool is bad information or a bad tool because it takes up time, it takes up energy, it puts you down a path that maybe is the exact wrong path to be on. And Klaatu was designed with one reason and one reason only and that is to get you results in your business, plain and simple. So I just wanted to say, man, I think you laid it out unbelievably well and I just, this is why you have so many questions, Tracy, because you have so many good answers. Thank you, Jay Cron.
Back to you, Michelle. Oh, right, we do have a ton more questions here. Here's one from Steve. He asked, how can I access the 21 day blogging challenge? Is that a member only feature? Absolutely, it is a member only feature.
You have to become a blogging customer with Klaatu. You should probably see that button right over there to the right, right? Over there to the right, it says the Klaatu trial access for seven days. You click on that button, you become a member and then once you log in, you'll be able to access the 21 day blogging challenge. Alrighty, Tracy, that was a slam dunk of an answer. And for those of you that are asking right now, this is my moment to tell you that yes, the 21 day blogging challenge plugin is only available for Klaatu members.
It is a plugin that is designed to literally take you by the hand and paint by numbers approach to blogging for success. It's going to help you with content generation. It's going to help you with every aspect that you may have stalled out on at some point that stopped you from getting a blog post live. And if you click the button right now that is flashing red and green, it says get Klaatu now, $7 for a seven day trial. That's your opportunity to dig in and make sure that you can leverage the 21 day blogging challenge plugin. So Tracy, if we can, let me go ahead, we're just going to take a brief break here because we were just interrupted by the most amazing interruption that I could possibly ask for this evening.
Dave Wood, the blogging man himself, the individual that brought blogging to network marketing and if he didn't, then I'm just going to say that he did because I believe that he's gotten more network marketers blogging than anyone before him. I'd like to have him come on and just talk about what blogging means to him, why blogging has been the foundation, the secret weapon that has driven and power network results. Dave, tell us about blogging. And ladies and gentlemen, that is what happened. Yeah, yeah, can you hear me? Now we can hear you, please.
I think there's a little bit of delay. I was uploading a video speaking of blogging and then I paused it because I can't do too many things at once from Costa Rica. Yeah, I'll talk to you about blogging and I always kind of talk about it from a different perspective than other people because I'm not the most technical blogger in the world and part of the reason I built in power network was because of people like me because most of my team were made up of people like me and most of my customers were made up of people actually who were a lot like me. And what I mean by like me is that they have some things they're really good at and they're not very good at technology. Maybe they can get a Facebook and maybe they can get on the internet and search and click on stuff but that's different than being a server architect or a PHP expert, right? Which the problem that people have when they get in the business for themselves on the internet or they try to build a website on the internet is they're trying to do these things that they just would need four years of college education to do and those things that they're doing don't produce money and don't produce sales.
The things that produce money and sales are actually creating the content and going out and selling stuff. And so my goal when I made in power network was formed after seeing years of frustration in my personal team because I had produced these amazing results blogging but had so many technology problems and that's just the truth. People could say it's easy, like I have WordPress people sometimes who are like, what are you talking about? I can get a blog set up in five minutes, you know what I mean? And it's like, yeah dude, but how long does it take you to get your first one up? These are most of our customers.
It's not people that have been doing it for five and 10 years, right? So I had these huge teams that were not trying to do these really technical things and they just couldn't do it. They couldn't do it, right? And it would take six months to do it and quit because it was so frustrating. And so I wanted to build something that gave them a better product for cheaper than what they're paying for, that gave them the ability to literally just start blogging, start creating authority, start creating a brand and start making sales and they wouldn't really have to know how any of the technology worked. And that's what you find in Colloctet.
You find a superior version of what I did in 2009 that moved me from being homeless in a van to making $30,000 a month in 90 days. And it's totally superior and you get it for 25 bucks a month, you know what I mean? And I think you get a trial of it for nine bucks or seven bucks or something on the screen. So if you're not in, you just need to click the banner and join, right? Because when I got started, I got started blogging actually sort of by default and accident, you know, kind of fate led me into it. And the reason it led me into it, because I got online because I wanted to learn how to build my network marketing business faster because I was trying to recruit my friends and family and they just didn't want to join stuff with me anymore because it never worked.
And so I needed to find a group of new people to get to join the things that I was in. So I went on the internet and all the people I ran into, they were like these paid traffic experts. They were like, you do a front end proposal, do some Google PPC, advertise something on Facebook, you know what I mean? And it's like they get you like doing all this paid stuff and then I got on and I was like, that strategy makes sense to me, but what if you have no money to do the paid stuff? What do you do then? And they're like, well, that's what everybody does, it's just this paid traffic stuff.
Well, funny enough, a few months later, Google started like kicking off all of the network marketing paid advertisers and all those people just like went back to jobs at Walmart who were making $100,000 a month, right? But what happened was is I started blogging because I literally, that's all I could do. I was really creative, I was really smart, you know what I mean? I was willing to read and study and learn and apply and work and so blogging fit perfect for me and I didn't know that it was the best strategy on the internet at the time. I didn't know that I'd still be making money from it easier five years later than I did a few months after I started doing it. I didn't know that it would just keep getting better and better and I'd end up forming a company from what I learned, I didn't know any of that stuff.
But I just started blogging and the reason I did it is because I could put my content out there and attract people to my business that were looking for the things that I was helping them solve through the content that I was creating and blogging provided me a medium for doing that. So I went from like totally broke, okay? Think about this, to maybe my first month, I think I sponsored like one person and the reason was is because I spent that whole month setting up my website because I didn't know how to do it and it still load like crap, right? My second month I think I brought in like 15 people, okay? So I went from like nobody to sponsoring 15 people my second month into my company blogging, right? Which to most people in an old school company or something like that, that's amazing.
I mean you're a superhero, if you're like in an old school network, you guys might not even be in network marketing, maybe you're on the internet. But like if you join Amway or something like that, you sponsor two people a month, you're like the Lord, you know what I mean? You walk on water and glow in the dark, that's how they see you. So I came in and blogging my second month, not even really knowing what I was doing. I sponsored 15 people, by my third month, I was sponsoring two people a day from nothing with no paid traffic, blogging and that was in 2009. And I went from that to that month making over $30,000, the next month making over 40, my fourth month on the internet and I moved from, actually where I had moved into, out of the van into my parents' house, I moved from my parents' house to a house on the beach in Costa Rica and now it's like four, five years later, actually five years, I've lived in Costa Rica for five years, now I got kids down here, my family's from here and I did that blogging, right?
That's the power of blogging and I still make money from the blog posts I made back in 2009 and 2010 and 2011 and that's amazing. And it's stuff that doesn't even exist anymore half the time, I was writing reviews on companies and they're out of business now and I still get leads from that stuff. Blogging is powerful and it's powerful because it gives you a medium to express your ideas, your creativity, the knowledge that you have, the knowledge you're going to acquire in a format that in the process of sharing your passions, you're getting people who are also interested in things you're interested in to click and read your blog posts, to learn to like you through stuff you write and stuff you make in videos and then join you and pay you money and you don't even know who they are. You know what I mean? It was this huge breakthrough for me. I remember first time I went to an event on the internet and somebody came up to me and they're like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, David, how's your dog doing?
And I was looking at this person and I was like, who are you? And you know what happened? They had seen so many of my videos on the internet and read so many of my blog posts about my family, about my dogs, my family and the place I'd trip and they felt like they knew me. So I'd like built all these relationships with people that I didn't even know and I now have this poll and this ability to have authority influence them and I was able to live in a different country building businesses in other countries on the internet and I looked at that and I was like, this is actually like not even like a dream. This is like a fantasy for everybody in the world. How can I teach people to do this?
That's the purpose of Kolatu. It's for you to share your voice. That's why that's what the word means. So I'm here tonight really for one reason because I gotta go. I'm actually gonna go spend some time with the family here. We've got tons of people coming into Kolatu right now.
It's proven. Blog posts are ranking on the first page of Google. People getting in, writing blog posts, ranking in their first 24 and 48 hours. People are signing more people up than they have in a long time and the reality is is you can get in or not and if you don't get in, we're still gonna get a million people blogging without you. If you don't get in, we're still gonna create some new millionaires this year. If you don't get in, we're still gonna go out there and create some new six figure earners this year but our preference is actually always with you because you're here, you know?
And why would you be here? Why would you be on this webinar if you weren't interested in doing this? You know what I mean? Can you guys hear me okay still? Am I like cutting out at all? I'm most excited.
We can hear you Dave. If we couldn't hear you, I would interrupt you awkwardly with some type of joke to cover up the fact that at times your internet connection in Costa Rica lets us down. The funny thing is now, I want you guys to all think about the real power of blogging, right? So for like the majority of my business that I've had and now we've done $150 million in sales in Empower Network and I had a business before that where I was doing quite a lot of, I was doing a couple million dollars in sales a year through other people's affiliate products from my blog and literally, I mean not even having my own products, I've been a couple million dollars a year in sales, not income you know because I was earning 20% commissions and stuff like that but I was doing a lot of sales in my organizations and half the time I'd do like a live cast or something. My internet connection used to just shut off. I mean in the middle of the live cast, I would have internet and then I wouldn't and I'd be like oh well and there'd be like 200 people on there or something, you know what I mean?
Not the size of these are today because it was like earlier in my business. I'd be like well, can't finish the live cast so I just go to the beach and like jump in the water for a couple hours, come home and email everyone and say I'm sorry, I'll do another one next week. You know what I mean? I'll do a video to make up for it later in the day but because my blog was out there all the time, my blog was live when my internet wasn't. You know what I mean? So when I had internet, I'd write a blog post and when I didn't, I'd go to the beach.
It enabled me to prospect when my phones didn't even work. Blogging is like super powerful. I like it, like there's all these old school networkers out there that still call people and I'm like you know what a blog is like is it's like this thing that just calls people all the time you know what I mean? Who are interested and it does it even when I'm not even around. You know what I mean? It's like this relationship building machine that builds relationships.
Like I'm not even there, you know what I mean, huh? Hey Dave, I've got a question for you. Yeah? This one just came in from chat and this was from Ellen. She asked, okay Dave, how did you get those sales? Not just blogging, you had to be doing something along with it.
So tell us the truth, is it really just blogging? Well no, I mean it was blogging and sales processes, right? So sales processes are something that's more complicated than blogging is to teach, right? But that's the thing, is you either need something to sell that somebody else makes those processes or you need to know how to do it yourself. And that's the second hardest thing to teach. Getting a blog up was the most pain in the butt thing to teach ever.
So when I launched Empower Network, what I did was I made the sales processes for people, right? So to empower what you find, you have a sales process here that's managed by like a huge team of people. The most talented marketing team that exists on the internet, right? Mars, he actually run a company that's done 70 million dollars in info product sales from like product based selling for all the major gurus in the info marketing space and has the smartest direct marketing sales team managing our sales process that exists actually anywhere on the internet. So the reality is that the sales processes that I built were not only inferior to what we give you for free at Empower Network. I mean you get this for free.
I almost think we should just charge you a hundred dollars a month for it, you know? And then I could just go buy wine with the money that I make from that or something like that. The reality is we give it to you for free and it's so much better than the stuff I used to sell with. You know what I mean? I mean I look at these videos Mars makes and I'm like, I mean, my videos are like I turn on a webcam and just ramble for two hours. You know what I mean?
He's got like these teams of people writing scripts and like cameras zooming in from everywhere and like a white background that looks like those Jesus movies where they're walking in heaven. And I'm like, dude, this is the most badass shit ever. It converts better, it's got better social proof. So the reality is is that we provide these systems for you so really what you need to do is create traffic right through blogging. So you need to do the part that actually is the easiest part to teach and that's what Empower Network really does for you if you're an affiliate. Now if you don't want to be an affiliate here, if you don't want to sell what we do, it's totally fine.
You just need to find somebody with a good sales process or make one yourself and then you use our blogging platform to create your content. Now here's the thing, right? The only other thing that I did, right, that isn't automatic in our process when I did a lot of livecasts and stuff, stuff like this, right, so I'd pop on in front of people live because I'm good at selling stuff. I can get people to buy stuff. I can get people who are like this to be like this, right? I'm really good at that.
I've got a knack for that, right? So blogging enabled me to build the crowds and then I got out and sold stuff, right? But Empower Network, we do that as a community. So really what you need to focus on is blogging and getting results and then we're gonna help you sell to the people that come to your blog if you want us to help you with it, we'll help you with it and that's what our affiliate program is all about. That's actually why when you register for the Klatu platform you also get, I believe you get a free trial of the affiliate. I actually don't know what link they have over there but you get a free trial of our affiliate program so if you want to, you can actually go out there, you can do the 21 day blogging challenge.
Your goal in those 21 days is to make the blog post but obviously also go out there and make some sales too and just use our marketing materials, just use our processes and let us help you get results because that's our goal is to just keep improving that, improving that, improving that, improving that. So we've literally taken like your job of 100 things, okay? Which is what I used to teach people to do all the time, to be fair, you do all the 100 things, it works really well, you do it all yourself. It's also a lot of work. We've taken that job of 100 things and now you're gonna use my whole team of employees, you're gonna use my CEO, you're gonna use my marketing team, you're gonna use my customer service team, you're gonna use my merchant processors, you're gonna use our payment processors, you're gonna use our payout system that we have, we're gonna manage the refunds and the charge backs and all the complicated merchant stuff for you and literally all you've gotta do is blog and still earn higher commissions than I earned when I got started on the internet by more than two times, right? And we do a better job at selling it.
This is like the best deal ever. I mean, if I saw this thing back in like 2009, that you know what I would do? I would stare at it. After I set up my blog for like a month, I would literally just stare at it for like, I would be staring at that order page with my credit card confused, right? At like how something this good could actually exist as I was typing in my number and making a decision to buy. I'd be just clicking the boxes, being like, how is it possible I just wasted all this time doing all this shit that's just done for me?
Like all I gotta do is like blog and create traffic. See, that's the thing. You could learn to do that. Like people are like, that's so complicated. Well, it's complicated if you gotta set up the blog. If all you're doing is creating content and getting traffic to it, this is the easiest thing.
It's the easiest thing to learn ever. Do you have to work? Yeah, but is it complicated, right? No, not at all, right? Being a doctor is complicated. Being a lawyer is complicated, right?
Learning kung fu is complicated, right? This is not complicated. This is learning to blog and create content. Then along the way, we teach you those other skills so we create sustainability in your business to help you get to the level that you really wanna go. You can take that with you for the rest of your life, even if you wanna go do something else. We have a lot of people do.
They start other businesses and stuff with the skills that they learn. I've helped thousands of people start various kinds of companies on the internet through the products that we sell here at Empower Network. And it all starts with this. It all starts with taking action. It all starts with just deciding to buy. And sometimes people, they're way too resistant to this.
They're like, I'm not gonna do that, right? And they've got their credit card away and they're like, I'm not gonna sign up for a seven dollar trial. And seriously, if you're that difficult to sell a seven dollar trial to, I mean, go set it up yourself, dude. You know what I mean? Or do that. I mean, just go do it.
You know what I mean? Go be a PHP programmer and a sales guy and take six months to find out how bad you suck at it. I mean, just go do it. You know what I mean? And I went out and did it and it was so frustrating. And then I finally managed it and then I was teaching everybody to do it.
And then I was like, why can't these people do it? And then I had to think to myself, I was homeless when I did all this stuff and it took me 18 hours a day, like seven days a week for a whole month to even get it set up. Of course they can't do it. What am I expecting people to do? These people have jobs and stuff. So I basically cut all that work out and now all they gotta do is get in, blog daily, tell others, and get money.
Now that's something to get excited about. You know what I mean? Because I look at this and it's like, look at this live cast. I don't even know where all these people live. You know what I mean? Tracy's out in Atlanta.
I'm in Costa Rica. Don't know where Michelle is. I think Justin's off in Colorado or something. We got Mars over in Colorado, right? I don't know where J.Cron is because he's in a new spot in the world every two seconds, right, and he's working with somebody new. And so we have people all over the world and you know how they all came together?
They all came together from the power of one day, a guy who got on his computer and said, you know what, I'm gonna blog for a living. And now we've got hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Congratulations for pulling out your credit card and making a decision to just get in. Just pull out your credit card and buy and get it over with. And I wanted to welcome you to Empower Network, J.Cron. I'll pass it back over to you.
Well, Mr. Dave Wood. Congratulations, Lucy Evans. Thanks for coming on and answering questions. All right. Well, you know what?
Thank you so much, Mr. Wood, for joining us tonight. And you know, I really couldn't ask for a better guest when we're talking about blogging and the power that it has in. And for everybody that's on here, you can see the ultimate confidence that Dave Wood has and the opportunity that Empower Network and the Kolatu blogging platform presents for you for literally a sum that you would not be able to have this type of commensurate opportunity anywhere else. It simply doesn't exist. And we know it doesn't exist because Dave created it because he couldn't find it anywhere.
So bottom line, this is an opportunity for you to click that friendly button that is calling out to you to join Empower Network, get ahold of the Kolatu blogging platform, take advantage of the 21 day blogging challenge plugin and find out just how easy it is to be able to build your home on the internet and get yourself in a position to find those people that resonate with you and begin to allow you to live a life on your terms. So Dave Wood, thank you very much for joining us. And now we're going to go ahead and go back to our featured guest tonight, million dollar ring earner, first female million dollar ring earner and the only female in Empower Network that I am aware of right now that drives a Maserati Gran Turismo, heading back to our most questioned, most Q&A'd guest of all time, Tracy Walker and our resident blogging diva, Michelle Schaefer. Michelle, I know we've got countless more questions to ask Tracy. So if you're going to pull up those questions and then also, Tracy, I'd love to know when you first, and this is going to be just selfishly fun for me while Michelle's getting the questions ready and organized for you, when you first met Dave Wood and Dave Wood told you that blogging and building a home online would be the way that you would reach million dollar ring earner status here with Empower Network, did you immediately believe him and say, my goodness, lock, stock and barrel, I'm moving? Or did you look at him and say, blogging, really?
That's what's going to do it? I just got to know. Well, you know, I'm a little different because I knew Dave when he was in the van, right? Did you visit his van? Did you ever meet Van Dave or was this Van Dave virtually? I met Van Dave in LA, actually, when we were doing this DVD, physically, right?
Everything from there was Skype. So I did not see the van in Hawaii myself, but I knew he was coming to us via the van, right? In LA that day. And so I was already blogging then, right? And I knew I was a network marketer at heart, right? I wasn't into all the other stuff.
I wasn't the traditional affiliate person. I wasn't the person on clickbait, getting products, just selling, selling, selling stuff. I like to build with people, right? And leverage the skill sets of others and build groups and teams and Dave was like that too. So when he first shared with me the idea and the concept of Empower that it was built on blogging, it didn't seem so far-fetched for me because I knew he was a blogger and I was a blogger. I had made money up to that point with blogging, but I didn't know how I was gonna reach greater financial heights with blogging because Dave was doing things that I just couldn't do, right?
He had all this stuff working in the background that I couldn't figure out what the hell he had going on. So this gave me the opportunity to, I mean, he said it, we get to use his CEO, his tech team, his customer service, being able to leverage everything that Dave had in his mind and that he could go out and do behind the, that he had in his mind and that he could create behind the scenes gave me the advantage, right? So now I could be me, I can leverage all the things that made Dave Dave and still we make money together and that was the thing for me. So blogging, yeah, but the big thing for me was I gotta know what Dave's doing and I don't know what it is, but if I can leverage it and pay to do it, I'm in. And so that's why I'm here. I love it, I absolutely love it.
And so Michelle, resident blogging diva, what's our next question for Tracy? Because I know that we have a huge list. So let's start digging in. We do and it's really hard to pick because there are so many. So I decided to go with the one that you got asked the most times. There are dozens of people asking this one.
One of the people who asked is Christine and she said, can you please give advice on ways of promoting your blog? Yeah, absolutely. You know, there are tons of ways and actually if you're already part of our community and you're all in, there are some great things in the all in library that really go over the specifics of this to kind of supplement what I'll share here with you. But some of the easiest and most reasonable ways to share your blog, one of them is Facebook, right? I mean, obviously, if you take your company link and say, come join me, there's very little engagement on that, right? Because nobody wants to join your company and the thing that you're excited about today.
However, if you have a piece of content where you've shared some material, something that you've put some time, some thoughts, some elbow grease into and post it on Facebook and say, hey, here are my thoughts, my top 10 reasons why I absolutely hate basketball, right? And then you post that on Facebook and it takes people over to your blog. People can start engaging with you in a way that is totally different than how you just put the link to your company. Now, in that blog, you can still have a link to join you, but it's about the engagement, it's about the social aspect of it. So Facebook is a great way that you could do that on your pages, in your groups or on your profile. I will also say Twitter.
I have my Facebook fan page attached to Twitter automatically, right? Which means that everything that I post on my fan page automatically goes over and a tweet goes out about it. So you could do that. Or within your blog itself, you could just hit the little button, create a little tweet and copy and paste your link into a tweet and shoot it out to your Twitter followers, right? Now, the key is that the more that you deliver valuable content, then people will request you to, you know, will want to follow you. Likewise, you need to follow people.
So let me just preface this, let me kind of go back because I just thought about something. If you've ever been to a concert, right? Like I love Beyonce, right? If you know who Beyonce is, great. If you don't, she's a huge pop star, globally recognized, right? Grammy award winning girl.
I love her. And here's, I just, when I think of things, I think about it from a standpoint of who do I know virtually, right? That would need to present in front of an audience, right? And any performer, an artist, a recording artist, a singer, whatever, musician, they have these things called concerts, right? And when you go to a concert, your goal is to see this person perform their library of content, right? Now, think about from the other side.
Beyonce, when she comes to a concert, she expects to deliver to an audience of people, right? There are people called promoters and marketers that are behind the scenes, it's not Beyonce, that have to promote and sell tickets to this concert. Because if Beyonce shows up on the stage, just because she's Beyonce, and nobody has bought any tickets, and there's no audience, she could sing her heart out, she could sing the most wonderful song in the world, she could look beautiful, she could dance the most phenomenal choreographed routine, and crickets would be out there in the auditorium, all right? So when we're talking about social media, you've gotta build an audience first, okay? So when we say go tweet, and go do Facebook, and you have no Facebook friends, and you have no Twitter followers, then yeah, when you come back and say, hey, but I'm not getting anything, it's because you probably don't have a follower base, or you don't have an audience. So take some time to build an audience first.
Take some time to get people in the seats first. Now when you go out there, and you do your dance, right? And you share your pose, you've got people there that got eyes on it. So that's the key to this. If there's any secret, the secret is get an audience first, then perform. Don't keep performing, right, in front of nobody.
You're wasting time, you're wasting energy, you're wasting money, and you're wasting your spirit dwindling away, and making yourself think it's not working. Get the audience. So Facebook, Twitter, of course have your audience there. You know, and I would also say, make sure that you're doing some SEO when you're doing that, some very basic SEO. You don't have to be an SEO strategist. You don't have to be a guru.
But if you follow the things that we're teaching you inside the Empower community, with the blogging and those basic things, you will be able to start attaching some of those components to your post where it will start to gain juice and work for you. Maybe it won't work tonight, but it'll work over time. And as your SEO skill level builds, you'll get better at that. So I think you should still be doing that at a very basic level. You know, you can do LinkedIn, you can do Google+, right? All these social, you can do Pinterest, you can do Instagram.
On my Instagram account, in my profile, I have the link to my blog there, right? I have a really cool, I mean, I'll just read to you really quick what I have on my Instagram profile so you can understand how I drive traffic to my blog from Instagram. And it's so super easy. And Instagram knows all about the profile, right? It's all about the link in the bio, right? And so do I expect to make a million dollars just from that?
No, but when you add all these different things and it's working in concert together for you, it is a web that is to your benefit, okay? And that's really what you're after. So it says, you know, follow the coolest seven figure blogging diva in the game. This mommy speaker and author can show you how to blog for profits in your biz too. And then I got the link to my blog there, right? So I'm just saying that you've got to be creative and you've gotta encourage people to click.
You gotta make people wanna click with what you're saying in any social media platform that you're on. You can do infographics. I think Lawrence Tam talked about that in the all in library back then in his training, right? Slide share and a host of other places. So there's no end to where you can start with posting your blogs. The key is having an audience wherever you're posting and writing things that people actually are excited to comment and share about.
You know, Tracy, I love that headline that you just read. I'm gonna actually ask you to read that one more time because I know that everyone on here will benefit from everything that you built into that. Not to mention the fact that when I heard you read that, I'm just like, you know, I'm not necessarily, you know, that masculine of a guy, you know, like I wear, you know, product in my hair and like I have on a Lacoste golf shirt. Like, you know, no one's gonna really give me a whole lot of street cred credit. But when I heard that headline, I'm like, I wanna follow you. Like, I wanna, you know, I wanna plug into that.
So you've gotta read that headline for me one more time because I want everybody to hear that again. Okay, and it's just the profile that you put together on Instagram, right? Tell us about like your little description. And so what I've done is that I've used different little icons and pictures to make it interesting visually. But this is what it says. It says, follow, and then I have a finger pointing up to my name, right?
So follow the coolest seven figure blogging diva in the game. This mommy, speaker, and author can show you how to blog for profits in your biz too. I gotta tell you, that pretty much covers everything. I mean, if there was a Beyonce blogging, Tracy, I think you are on your way. So with that, I have to say thank you, Tracy, so much for joining us tonight. And I wanna actually recognize you here in front of our crowd of, at present, the few, the proud, the 1,620 individuals that have made it with us for this entire Tactical Tuesday.
Everybody, I'm gonna ask you to applaud thunderously in the chat box so Tracy can watch, because it was actually Tracy Walker that inspired us to create the content planning document for Kolatu that all of you have. So it was actually Tracy that had actually talked about this with our VIP guests in an implementation webcast, and everyone was so excited about it that we created a version that you can all download tonight and implement. So if you guys wanna be thanking anybody, be thanking this seven-figure blogging diva, mommy, and speaker that can show you how to blog for profit online. That's what we're bringing to you tonight. That's what you have in the field leadership embodied in Tracy Walker. That's why we're here.
That's what our community offers. So Tracy, before we wrap up here, if you knew that you had 1,620 people that are right now at varying levels of experience, maybe this is their first live webcast, and they showed up and they're like, oh my goodness, people are broadcasting live crazy things via the interwebs, and this is their first time looking at this business. Or maybe they've been in Empower for a little while. They just started and they're wondering what to do next. Or maybe they've been here for a year, two years, and they're now just beginning to take their business seriously and implement with the purpose of making 2015 their year. If you knew you had 1,620 people that wanted to know the thought that you would leave them with tonight, what would it be?
It would be our simple, simple mantra, which is to blog daily, tell others, and get paid. Here's the thing, whether you're new, whether you're intermediate, whether you're advanced, what separates these categories of people, in my opinion, is the consistency and the length of time that they stick with it. Nobody was perfect when they first got started. When I wrote my first blog post, I was completely brand new. I had no idea. I didn't know anything about anything.
I think I may have written maybe two months' worth of blog posts before I even knew I was supposed to have keywords in them, right? What in the world? I'm just writing. I'm just writing for my good old life, my good old, you know, the fun of it. And then you learn, right? It was through that writing that got me to a point where I said, well, wait a dang minute.
People aren't finding this stuff. I gotta do something, right? And then, oh, what a bright idea. I go and I find somebody that can teach me why people aren't finding me, right? And you move to the next level in the game. And then while you're there, now you're getting that going and you eventually move to another step where you'll have another idea and say, oh, wait a minute.
Now this needs to happen, right? But it's only through the action, it's only through the progression, it's only through you taking the steps one foot in front of the other day by day by day that you actually move up the ladder of skill and knowledge. And so, you know, this little worksheet that is now available, you know, it's something that you can print out, make copies of, and every time you get ready to do a post, it's so comprehensive that I would say follow this. If you're new, follow this. Until you can't follow it anymore, until it's just ingrained in your head that you know the processes and that you know the steps. The same way that, you know, those of you that, you know, wherever you work at your job, you're probably very proficient in that field, right?
Day one, you weren't that proficient. It's after you being in that environment, the expertise, the challenges, the obstacles, the things you have to overcome that make you so good at what you do right now full time, right? Well, we wanna help you to become very, very good at something that you can do part time that can possibly, very possibly, I can't guarantee, but very possibly replace that income that you have that you're doing full time that doesn't require the amount of time once you get it up and going. So the consistency, I say remain consistent, whether you're new, whether you're a vet, I say follow a formalized process, whether you're new, whether you're a vet, don't give up, whether you're new, whether you're a vet, continue to hang around and stay close to the fire, be around the people that are cheering you on, that are helping you to succeed, that are rooting for you while you root for them. Likewise, it's a mutual, the door swings both ways, keep doing that, get to the events, make sure you're connecting with the training. If you're in the community already, you should own all the products, you should be all in, you should be leveraging that all in library, you should be doing the things that any serious person would do starting out in any career that they decided they wanted to spend their time doing.
So I hope that answers the question, Jaycon, I could go on and on and on, I won't do that for the sake of all the 1600 and so listeners, but if it's just you and I, I would definitely burn your ears all the way off of you. Tracy, as a seven figure mommy blogger and speaker, you are quite succinct. I absolutely know that whatever it is, you have a magic about you as being our most Q&A'd guest for any webcast we've ever had. So you've got a magic to you that everybody loves to plug in and find out what you've got going on. And I had a question actually, I know you and Nicole Cooper worked together, did you actually enroll Nicole into Empower Network? I did.
Okay, it's funny, I actually, and one of the stories I wanna share with everyone tonight before we close and we talk about the power of what blogging can represent is, Tracy, as all of you know, Tracy's generated unbelievable results here with Empower Network. She's a million dollar ring earner, our first female million dollar ring earner, first of many, I hope, and something that Tracy has blazed a path that is something unbelievable. And she has an amazing, amazing team behind her. One of those team members is Nicole Cooper. And Nicole Cooper is another individual that all of you know that is powerful, magnetic, engaging. If you've seen Nicole on stage, she's also driving tremendous results with Empower.
And what I wanna share with you is to look at blogging right now in the lens that you're looking at it as, I promise you, no matter how big you're thinking it is, you're thinking too small. And I wanna share with you what the ripples are when you decide to go out there and be who you are in a format and a technology that allows people to connect with you. Because Tracy got into this business to drive results. And she drove results by building a team of people around her. One of those team members is Nicole Cooper, who also got into this business, blogging, attracting people to her to drive results, to build a team around her. And this week, I actually spoke with Angela Carter, who is in Nicole Cooper's group, and we featured Angela.
You're gonna be seeing her story in the upcoming days as one of our rising stars. Now, you may not know Angela Cooper yet, but you're going to, excuse me, Angela Carter, you're going to because Nicole Cooper, who was brought in by Tracy Walker, brought in Angela Carter. And Angela Carter has actually been able to replace her income, allowing her to work from home, putting herself, her health, and her family first, and be able to leave a law practice as a, and I forget the type of attorney, I wanna say, and Tracy, you may know this, but it was a specific type of attorney. I don't remember if it was a patent attorney or intellectual property attorney, but a type of an attorney, and she decided that she wanted to move home to reset her priorities. And so when you look at what blogging is, when you look at what blogging has the potential to do, right now you're thinking of it only in terms of what you're going to talk about, or how you're going to make sure you have something interesting to say every day. You're going to be thinking about it in terms of, well, who's really gonna read it?
Because I know right now that only my mom, my best friend, and my dog are going to check out my blog every day, and outside of that, nobody's going to. I'm here to tell you that that's not the case. I'm here to tell you, oh, thank you very much, my wonderful assistant, Tara, just let me know, she was actually an entertainment attorney. And that was what she came out of, and now is working her in power business as her focus. So when you think about the fact that blogging gives you the ability to have a Tracy Walker come into a company and knock it out of the park with seven-figure results, bring in someone like Nicole Cooper, who is a powerhouse in her own right, generating multiple six-figure results, who then is able to touch the lives of countless individuals, one of whom being Angela Carter, that is able to make the decision after being in law school, hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt, deciding to walk away from being an entertainment attorney to do business differently, and me be able to feature her story, how could you possibly do that in any other business, in any other technology, in any other way, other than blogging? Because guess what?
Nicole Cooper wasn't Tracy's family. Angela Carter wasn't Nicole Cooper's friend or family. This was all done through the vision that Dave Wood had of what blogging could represent in an industry that connects opportunity with networking, that gives people the ability to live life on their terms out of the box with the freedom to live the dream rather than preach a dream and live a nightmare, and have the freedom to conduct business from whatever corner of the world they're in. You just heard from our illustrious founder coming to us live from Costa Rica. You heard him talk about the fact that at times he didn't even have a consistent internet connection. As his CEO who tries to reach him regularly, I can vouch for that.
There are times where we have planned live broadcasts and Dave Wood's block didn't have power, so it's not like he could borrow internet from his neighbor. The whole neighborhood was dark, and he even drove down to Starbucks and plugged in to give us 10 minutes when we needed him there for the live broadcast. The power of blogging is so immense that even when you don't have a consistent internet connection and you live in Costa Rica, you're able to build an organization of amazing people committed to a vision of empowering entrepreneurs with technology that allows them to live and build a business in such a way that it doesn't represent five nights a week of hotel meetings. It doesn't represent a garage full of products or a car that is used as inventory as you go around trying to sell people products they may not even want to build a business that they may not even be excited about. It's a different path. It's a technology that allows you to connect in a meaningful way based on your passions and interests and turn it into a business.
And right now for those of you watching, you have the opportunity to participate in that business and leverage that technology for literally a price that's so low that it's laughable. Now, being the CEO of this company, I can tell you this. If I could charge you 100 times what we're asking for, for you to take Kalatu for a test drive, I would. Because I know it's worth it. Because I know how hard it is to generate $150 million in global sales and to create $14 million ring earners in our organization. It's something that is utterly impossible in the traditional business world to do.
But guess what, when you have a vision and when you have people that are committed to it and the right tools at hand, it's possible. And those results are of course not typical. Please see our average earnings disclaimer at empowernetwork.com forward slash income. We're committed to transparency here. And what I can tell you is the $14 million ring earners we have, they all blog. What I can tell you is the $150 million in sales that represent a global community of engaged entrepreneurs around the world covering every fathomable time zone and language.
They all blog. I can tell you that in a global economy with six billion mobile connected users, over six times the amount of desktop connected users, your ability to reach people online, engage with them in a meaningful fashion and have them work with you to improve their life and do business on their terms, will dictate your success in the coming future. You have an opportunity tonight to take a meaningful step in test driving what I believe is the most powerful blogging platform ever created, which was designed with one purpose in mind and one purpose only, to get you results in your business. It wasn't designed to share viral cat pictures, although you can do that too. It wasn't designed to be some free platform that you just plug in, try it twice and never come back. It wasn't designed for any reason other than to drive results in the business you care about, allowing you connect with people you want to so that you can live life on your terms.
That's what we have available for you tonight on Tactical Tuesday. We covered an amazing free download for you that's still on the page now so that you can plan your content effectively. You can make sure you don't miss any of the available marketing points for you to leverage. It's all available to you on the other side of a friendly green button that you need to click right now. If you decide that 2015 is your year and you decide that the way that we do business and the way that we approach life is something that resonates with you, it's time that you jumped in and it's time that you started playing with us. It's time that you took your business seriously and leveraged blogging to the hilt because it has six and seven figure results on the other side.
It's something that the potential is only limited by your willingness to apply yourself consistently. And I couldn't be more excited to represent a company full of affiliates and full of customers and full of individuals that have decided they want to do something differently. They want to question the status quo and they want to build a business that is based on their dreams, their goals and on their terms. And that's who we serve. If that excites you, there's a green button that says join Empower Network now, take Kolatu for a test drive, have some fun with it, enjoy the 21 day blogging challenge plugin we've built to make this the most effortless blogging experience you've ever had. If you've never blogged before, I promise this is the easiest path.
If you have blogged before, I guarantee you you've never seen any technology designed like this. So with that, ladies and gentlemen, it has been an unbelievable honor to serve you here on this Tactical Tuesday, to meet all of you in chat and get to engage with you for a bit. We've been joined by some unbelievable esteemed guests including the company's co-founder, David Wood, our Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Burden, our resident blogging diva, Michelle Schaeffer. And of course, I'm gonna ask that Tracy Walker say goodbye to everybody before we sign off for the night. Tracy, you wanna give them a wave and a goodbye? But I have a little screaming baby who's ready to go to bed and nurse and so I just had his dad bring him to me.
So guys, I'm gonna say goodnight really, really quickly. Thank you for joining in. Thank you for listening. Thank you for asking me so many questions. I wish I could answer more. Get started, get blogging, use your worksheet, get going.
I'll see you at the next event. And guys, your dreams, you can live them, it's so possible. Thanks for having me tonight, guys. Tracy, thank you so much. And what I love most is when you put him on your lap and he looked at the screen, he quieted down, got focused and put on his game face. That's how I know that he's growing up in a home where live cast is a way of doing things.
So with that, Tracy and family, Kilo, Josiah, thank you very much for joining us tonight. All of our guests in chat, thank you for joining us for an unbelievable Tactical Tuesday. Make sure you've downloaded your content planning sheet. Make sure that if you haven't given blogging a try, now's your time. Green button, join Empower now, click it. What I can promise you is you will never have an opportunity to reach more people with more upside potential for less risk on any planet, any given Sunday.
That is our commitment to you. And with that, we'll see you on our next live webcast. Take care.
