We're going to go ahead and get started here in just a second. I'm going to go ahead and do a partner check real quick and make sure if Dave's on. If he's not, he's probably just having some internet connection problems or something like that. Dave, are you here, buddy?
Dave Wood, Testing Testy, 123. All righty. He may be having a couple of internet connection problems. I do have him on a message little deal here, man, so hopefully he'll be on here in just a second. I'm going to go ahead and kick off the call because I'm excited to get started.
We've got some really, really informative information for you guys tonight, for you ladies and gentlemen who are on the call tonight. Dave, hopefully he's able to make it on the call tonight. I definitely think that he should be able to unless he's having some major dilemmas there with his internet connection or something like that. But he's going to be sharing with you some insights into what happens before you actually close somebody, okay?
This is kind of a different perspective from what a lot of people teach, and preach about closing. Now, I've been on and even done in the past before I was really knowledgeable about the dynamics of closing because there's more to actually closing prospects than what I initially thought there was. I remember that I used to actually — for a lot of you who know who I am, and I'll tell you a little bit about who I am a little more here in just a second, but at one time in my adventurous career, I worked at a telemarketing place, and in that telemarketing place, we had scripts, and we had different things that we said, and there was different language that we used, and I can remember even kind of getting creative because I enjoyed actually doing that kind of stuff. I enjoyed getting on the phone and talking to people and all that good stuff.
So I would actually even write my own scripts, and I just thought that it was just about my ability to have what we call the gift to gab. But I learned here inside of the industry here, once I got in, that it wasn't just about having the gift to gab and always knowing what to say. So we're going to talk a little bit about that tonight. If you give me just one second here real quick, we're going to talk a little bit about what happens before the close. I think that's going to be an interesting perspective for a lot of you on the call tonight, especially if you are under the assumption like I was when I very first got started, that it just had something to do with some magic bullet, the word that I was going to say.
Now, before Dave comes on, he should be coming on here in just a second. He actually just messaged me. Let me tell you, those of you who don't know who I am, a little bit of my background and what I'm doing in my business today and how I actually got here. Obviously, some of you were invited by Dave. Others were invited by me.
So this is more for those of you who don't know who I am. But just over a year and a half ago, roughly around that time period, I was actually swinging a hammer on a construction site, living paycheck to paycheck, robbing Peter to pay Paul, doing all those fun things that so many of us are so familiar with. And not only was I having financial problems, but I was actually in the middle of a personal transformation that I was going through because for many years, I actually struggled with many things on a personal side. I struggled with addiction. I struggled with alcoholism.
I struggled with depression. I struggled with all these different things inside of my life. And I was in the middle of a personal transformation that I was going through. And somebody came to me, found me on some job site and started talking to me about network marketing. And I was just pessimistic and closed-minded like a lot of people are that we talk to now on a daily basis if you're prospecting people inside of your business.
And it took this gentleman to be so persistent with me that finally I said, you know what, gosh, maybe this might be what I should be paying attention to if I want to make some money because I was literally tired of being broke. I was doing pretty well personally. I'd gotten my act straight, but I was still broke. So I got involved inside of the industry and did what most people do, which is just are misinformed and misguided. What we're going to talk about tonight is give you some perspectives and principles to where you'll be able to understand that it doesn't have so much to do with what you say as it's how you say it.
And that's kind of where I was at when I first got started in my business. And eventually I uncovered some information that allowed me to start producing results that in many occasions surprised me. I've now gone on to produce some pretty incredible things inside of my business and have a lot of success and be able to, in most cases, design my lifestyle. So for those of you who don't know who I am, that's just a brief introduction. I'm going to go ahead because I think that he's on tonight.
He just joined us. I'm going to go ahead and do a Dave Wood check. Are you here, buddy? Yeah, I'm here, bud. Sorry about that.
Hey, man, no problem. Everything all right down there? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's actually funny. This week, I actually started making a video about 20 minutes ago and I just started rambling.
And then by the time the video was done, it was like two minutes late for the call. I was like, oh, crap. So I scrounged and tried to find this conference call number. But it's a cool video. So at least it's a give and take a little bit.
But you rock, buddy. Just kind of listening in the background here. And I just want to kind of toss out here and confirm a lot of people here, you're on the call. And then I'm actually going to turn it back a little, Dave. We're just going to bounce back and forth tonight, guys, talking about closing.
You know, a lot of people have a lot of misconceptions just about closing. And, you know, when I got in the industry, actually, I was the easiest sale that you'd ever have in your life. You know, I had just gotten off of a two-year mission trip. I'd flown down to Arizona. My brother was the only person I knew down in Arizona.
I just kind of went and I lived next to him. I actually lived in his house there for a little bit. And, you know, he said, Dave, we're doing this meeting Thursday night. And I said, meeting? Meeting about what?
You know, and he says, well, you just got to show up and see for yourself. And so, you know, I showed up and there's like this four-hour long, you know, Amway presentation. I mean, it was like four hours. I mean, it was just me talking and, you know, about nothing. But you know what I said at the end of that presentation?
Everybody here is probably going to laugh at this. If you've ever been to one of these four-hour ones, I said, this is the coolest scheme I've ever seen in my entire life. I'm going to be rich, you know. And I just signed up right there on the spot. No questions, no objections whatsoever.
And actually, a lot of people in network marketing who get involved get involved like that. And there's a misconception a lot of times when you're starting that because you got involved like that, that's just what happens all the time. And so what happens is people think not understanding the actual process of what got them to join because it's very difficult on first seeing it. You know, first time you get sold something, essentially, you know, what it seems like, and this is never what happens if you've been sold properly, it just seems like you're kind of pitched, you know, and you just bought. You know what I mean?
It seems like, okay, I went to this thing, I was pitched, and I just bought. And you're like, I need to get people in this thing. And so you walk around just pitching people randomly on street corners and stuff with no relationship, with no funnel, with no style, with no training, with no language properly, without being mysterious at all. You know, I mean, there's a big element, just as an example I want everybody here to think about for a second that we'll talk about in closing. But a big part in closing is getting the door open in the first place and getting them to look at it.
A big part of getting them to look at it is what I call sales mystery, all right? You've got to create enough mystery that somebody wants to look at it. You know, let's take two capture pages as an example, right? What are you going to opt into more frequently? Something where no matter what you look at on the page, you can't really tell what it is, but it seems really, really interesting, whatever's on that next page.
Or something that tells you exactly what's on the next page, all right, and has like 4,000 videos on the capture page. I mean, what do you more frequently put your email address into? It's obviously the first one. It's the one with the mystery, all right? So, you know, it's a misconception in the first place that just walking around, pitching people is going to get people involved.
And then here's the second misconception, and this is actually probably a misconception a lot of you came here tonight to learn. You probably came here to learn the misconception. We're going to talk about this a lot. But there's a misconception that people have, and this one's fascinating.
You guys are going to laugh at this thing. This is really funny. But the fascinating thing is you think that it's what you say to prospects on the phone and how you say it that makes them join. And I'm telling you, it's not, all right? You also probably think that it's the amount of people that you're calling that makes them join.
And I'm going to tell you, it's not, all right? Actually, the truth of the matter is, and I can go into story after story, we're going to illustrate examples. We're going to show you how to do it tonight. We're going to show you how to recruit five times the people that you've ever recruited in the past.
If you really listen, you're going to have to have a little creativity and ingenuity to do it, all right? And we'll walk you through how to do it over the course of the next few weeks. But you will be able to double, triple, quadruple your production if you listen to what I'm about to teach you, all right? But here's the thing that you've got to understand, folks. So what really is the way to close a prospect?
And I'm just going to tell you just straight up, it's getting the right person at the right part of the process on the phone with you at the right time. That's how you close prospects. And I am telling you, let me repeat that again, all right, so you guys understand. Because this is really what we're doing in marketing.
And this is really what we want to teach you guys how to do. It's getting the right person at the right point in the sales funnel at the right time in their life on the phone with you. All right? Right then. That's how you close people, all right?
Now, if you get a whole bunch of people who are at the wrong time in their life, who are at the wrong time in the sales funnel, or who have not seen any sales funnel, all right, who have no money or whatever it is, who are totally unqualified to talk to you. If you get a whole bunch of them on the phone with you, you could be really good at closing, all right? And you still can't just get anybody in. However, you could get very few people who are at the right point in the funnel, the right point in the process, at the right time in their life.
You could get very few of them on the phone with you, all right? And you could close three, four, five times the amount as the other guy who's a really good closer if you're a bad closer. It's all to do with the process. The close isn't made, folks, at the end of the process. It's made from the first second the door opens.
And that's actually what we're going to be talking to you tonight. Because I'll tell you something here. And I'm just going to turn back over to Dave after this, get his thoughts. I just want you guys to think about this here for a second. All right?
If you could talk to someone who had just seen your company's presentation or just seen the presentation for whatever product it is you're promoting, who just sat there for 45 minutes, who had the exact amount of money on their credit card to join. And that's kind of all they had, that they had that amount of money on their credit card. They had their credit card in their pocket. And it was just kind of bulging because they felt that thing pulsate in their pocket. They just had that desire to reach in and grab the credit card and pull that thing out there, all right?
They had the desire to pick up the phone and talk to you. And then right then, as they're looking at the presentation, right after they've seen the presentation, they kind of want to work with you, but they're just a little bit nervous. How many of you think that you could pick up the phone, call the person, and say, this is Bill? Oh, yeah. Hey, Bill, are you still in front of your computer?
As a matter of fact, I am. So you're ready to get started, buddy? How many of you can do that, right? And here's the funny thing, all right? That three-second conversation will close more people, talking to less people than any amount of prospecting you could possibly do in your life if you've got a good process set up.
And I'm just telling you that it's the truth. And it's not just true online, it's also true offline. And if you have a really smart front-end to your process, folks, and you're really intelligent about how you do that, or you've had a really intelligent process built for you by other people that know what they're doing, and you're just showing up there to close the people, you could be an absolute, you know, toast head. You could have a toaster for a head, and you could still sponsor four people a day. And I'm not even playing around.
It's the easiest thing in the world that you've got to have enough people moving through the front of that process, and then we're going to talk about different stages of the process tonight, how to prepare people from the very second they come into your funnel, how to prepare them to get ready to join you, and then how do you actually get on the phone with them at that moment when they're hot? How do you actually get on the phone with them right then and help them make a decision? So, Dave, I'm going to just throw it back over to you here for a second for your thoughts, buddy. Hey, cool, man. Awesome.
I definitely appreciate you, buddy. So, I'm glad that you were able to hop on tonight. Those of you who were invited by me just to kind of edify Dave really quick, man, and just kind of share with you why you're here. You know, why you can learn so much from him is that, you know, this gentleman has not only put his time in the trenches, I mean, we're actually talking about this stuff actually today on the phone. It was actually really hilarious about the things that we used to do to close people into our business.
We used to invite a bunch of people over to our house, and as soon as everybody got into the living room, wheel out the whiteboard, lock the doors, and everybody would be kind of looking for a bathroom to jump out the window. You know? That was the thing. That was just kind of our idea of sponsoring people. That was our idea of building a business.
And some of those aspects are still true, but we don't have to do that anymore. I mean, Dave's really created a business that runs more on automation, and the important thing that I think that you can really get from learning from Dave and learning from myself is that if you do this process correctly, again, I want to reiterate this, is that when you pick up the phone, 95% of the people are actually already ready to join. That didn't happen for somebody like Dave Wood overnight. He had to go through a lot of these processes and realize what worked and what didn't to get him to this point to where he can actually do that. So I think that sometimes a lot of us underestimate the work that some of us put in.
People like Dave Wood, over the course of the last how many ever years since you first went to your first AMLE meeting, I think that you've talked about it time and time again that you were, you know, just a kid, you know? And I love the story about how you're sitting there and the old, you know, bald guy who was up at the front of the — and I actually love bald guys. So if you're a bald guy and you're on this call, welcome. We love you. We appreciate you.
Okay? So a lot of times, the reason why we're able to teach and share our experience, the things that have worked for us, is because we know what doesn't work. Now, what I'm going to talk about here for a couple of minutes is something that is really a theme of mine, okay? It's really something that you're going to hear me teach. It's my style.
It's just who I am. It's how I connect with people. It's how I connect my life to my business, which is something I think I'll say that again, because it's so important. It's how I connect my life to my business. I'm going to talk about how to actually prep people by being authentic, by selling through, connecting with people on a deeper level than you would have thought.
And rather than just the skin surface and be able to create a connection with somebody that you just can't do by talking about details and companies and compensation plan and product. And I want to relate this to offline and how I got involved in the industry when I first got started. And I'll never forget, there's a guy named Mark here in my town. And if anybody who knows me, there's probably a couple of people who are from around my area on this call tonight. They know who I'm talking about.
He's a restaurant owner here in town. He actually owns one of the biggest sports bars in town. And I can actually remember when that gentleman, his name's Johnny, worked for Florida Power, Florida Energy, came up to me when I was on that construction site remodeling that bathroom a year and a half ago or so and came up to me and said, hey, Dave, I need you to take a look at this business. Mark is in this business. He's making xyz amount of dollars per week.
This thing's blowing up. You need to take a look at it. I'll tell you that one thing that grabs my attention, was the fact that this guy named Mark was involved. Now, I'm obviously not going to say his last name for just to keep his anonymity. But the sole reason, the sole fact that I was so open, even though I was close to looking at this business, it was because I knew that somebody with a story, somebody with influence, that somebody that I knew was involved in the business, that had actually done something and had success previous in his life.
And I was able to connect that to really being more interested in the business rather than just somebody who was already working a nine to five, who was kind of, you know, I don't know that I particularly would have got involved in the business if it was just John who worked for Florida Power coming up to me. But I knew that Mark was involved in the business. He was already successful and he was making so much money per week inside of this particular opportunity.
And what happened was, is I didn't particularly have the influence that Mark had. I didn't have the story and I didn't know how to actually make a connection with people at first. So what I did was I went around to all my friends and family and I tried to get them to this hotel meeting. Heck, we used to do meetings down actually at Mark's restaurant throughout the week. And I used to do everything that I could to try to get people there.
I'd talk about the company. I'd talk about the compensation plan. We had this refer three, which is kind of a popular thing now within the industry. It was a refer three. Get yours free type thing.
I mean, I was going berserk and just like Dave talked about the beginning of the call, when I got started, I thought about how many friends I had and I said, holy smokes, if I can get a quarter of my friends in this thing in six months, I will be filthy rich. And I believe that I was excited. I mean, my girlfriend was literally looking at me, not knowing what I was going to say to who to embarrass us because I was so excited about this business opportunity. And that's exactly what I did. I mean, that's crazy.
And I'm like, I'm going to get a $10 package for about the first three or four months inside of this business. And the only thing that I talked about with people was the company, the compensation plan, the leaders, where the company owners went to high school, their mother's maiden names, what happened to their families back in the 1920s. I mean, everything except what really mattered. I really needed to talk about me and I needed to talk about my personal story and create a connection with people that they could relate to, create some empathy between the two of us so they could actually see that I was struggling with the same things that they were struggling with, so it could allow them to identify their problems, therefore making my business a solution to their problems. So I got on the Internet, and I started to kind of do the same thing.
When I got in front of the camera, I went to shoot a video or whatever. I would part my hair nicely. I would iron my clothes, which I really don't like to do, and I would get in front of the camera, and I said, now I'm going to say what I think these people want to hear, because I think if I do what everybody else does, then I'll probably have results. And what happened was I sponsored maybe two people for about another three or four months, until I finally, before I was about to quit, realized that, you know what?
The people who are having success, who are really getting results, are people who are doing the complete opposite thing from everybody else around them. Now, I know that a couple of you are sitting on the phone call tonight saying, well, Dave, what are they? What are the three magic words that I should say to somebody to just get them in my business? And guess what? I don't have three magic words, but at the end of this call, I am actually going to tell you the three psychological approaches that I use on people that close the majority of them when I'm on the phone with them.
However, I can tell you that what I learned and what I discovered after watching people and realizing what didn't work is that I needed to do something different. I needed to start talking about myself and allowing the people, who I was talking to, create an emotional connection that they could actually relate to. Now, I want to give you a real-life example of this happening and maybe why you're even on this call tonight. For those of you who are invited by Dave, you probably follow Dave. And I'm talking about Dave Wood here.
You probably read his emails. You probably watch his videos. You probably love hearing the stories that he tells. And the reason why you love that so much is because, A, it's entertaining. B, you can relate to the things that he talks about.
When he talks about wandering around in Walmart, when he talks about getting people into a room and locking the doors and wheeling out the whiteboard and trying to slam-dunk grandma into the business and all this other stuff, you can identify with that because it's actually something that you most likely did inside of your business at one time. So instantly, without even saying anything, because let's just be honest here, Dave and I are a little bit different. I was an addict who was homeless a lot of my life. I struggled with all kinds of different problems.
The interesting thing about that is I don't actually try to hide that because for a long time I tried to hide who I really was, and it was my biggest asset. So here's what I tell a lot of people is I actually tell a lot of people, and you'll see this at the end of this call when I give you my three best approaches or best lines that I use to actually close people in. But what I always teach people and what I tell people is focus less on the details. Know less about your company and focus more on the personal development and learning how to do it. Know how to communicate who you are to people so that they can actually connect with you because this goes back to what Dave was saying at the beginning of the call.
It's not really about what happens at the end when you pick up the phone. It's about what happens getting people up to that point so when you do talk to them, the majority of the people go, I can't even believe you're calling me right now. That creates the type of environment that makes closing pretty much rejection-proof. With that being said, Dave, I'm going to throw it back over to you, buddy.
Well, yeah, yeah, absolutely. And I just wanted to piggyback on that and just share a story with everybody here on the line just so you can kind of understand this difference in psychology. I'm actually going to paint out a couple of different examples of it. I'm going to share some stories of some stuff that I did offline and what really made my offline recruiting back before I was building on the Internet years ago really start cranking because a lot of you don't know I actually built up a small team. I mean, I finally started to have some success, recruited a lot of people, and I'm going to share a little bit about that.
I started recruiting one, two, three people every week or two, you know, in the offline world, which, of course, you're a superhero in any of those old school companies if you do. So I got my check up, you know, and did that. The same things that were working for me then worked for me really well on the Internet. And so I'm going to talk to you a little bit about that so you can understand the difference for me. But the first story I really wanted to share was when I first started getting into attraction marketing, kind of where I was coming from.
You know, a lot of people don't know, actually, before I got into attraction marketing, I was just looking to find leads to talk to because I was so sick of wanting to do it. I was so sick of wandering around hitting people up because I'd just done it for years. I'd never really gotten a big status doing it.
I mean, I built a team of about 1,000 people doing it, but I'd just never made the big shot, you know, where you're driving Ferraris and living in the mountains in Costa Rica or whatever, you know. It was just frustrating for me, and I just was always kind of nervous doing it, you know. So I just was literally, I'm not kidding you guys, what I started doing when I got on the Internet was I actually started first getting resumes and just cold calling resumes. And even that to me was preferable to wander around. I mean, I started doing that.
And then I started placing job ads on Craigslist. And so I was calling people that were, you know, CEOs of corporations who'd been laid off and just I was living in my van, you know, pretending I was this person. I actually sponsored people living in the van, never lied to anybody, just didn't tell them my situation. You know, they never asked because I positioned myself right. I sponsored about, you know, 15 people in a month before I found Attraction Marketing.
It was just grueling, guys. I mean, it was painful because I was talking to people who were looking for jobs, and I had to do everything that's done for me automatically. I had to do it all manually, all right? But then I got into this Attraction Marketing space where I figured out how to generate leads from, like, my own website, you know? And I still remember the first time that it happened, I actually generated a lead, right, that was looking.
I wasn't even using my own videos, right? But I had a little audio on a page after they opted in so they could hear my voice, right? Then they got into Capture Page. They went to this page with audio. And then I was just sitting there by my computer, you know, waiting for the leads to roll in, you know what I mean?
I remember I got my first lead. They got a phone call right then. Just, you know, for me, I thought I was going to get 100 leads a day just posting some articles all over the place when I first started doing this stuff back in, you know, August of, you know, 2009 or whenever it was. So I got this lead. I picked up the phone, and I called this person.
I literally couldn't believe what happened. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I called him up, and I said, hey, is this Mary? She said, yeah, who's this? And I said, Mary, it's Dave Wood, and I'm giving you a call.
You were just on my website. Put in the phone number, and I just figured I'd give you a call and say, hello, how are you doing? And she paused. There was about five seconds, and then she said, I can't believe you actually gave me a call. That's unbelievable.
What are you selling here? And she just bought it right then on the spot. It was unbelievable. I was selling, I think, Lead System Pro or something. But whatever it was, folks, I mean, she just bought it right there on the spot.
And I hung up the phone, and I said, I'm going to be a millionaire. That's how I responded because it was so different of a quality of person to talk to than it was to talk to just the people that were looking for something that was the exact opposite of what I was selling before. And there was nothing wrong with those people, folks. They're just off doing something else, not interested in home business, not interested in network marketing. So I was kind of half blown, if that makes sense, right?
So I remember that first time that happened, I said, I am going to be rich. But why did that work? And that's the question. Why can you close one kind of a person easily, and one person is like grit in your teeth? Well, the reality is that lady right there was searching on the Internet right there.
It doesn't matter whether you're searching on the Internet, searching in a newspaper, whether you're searching locally. If you're looking, it's the easiest thing in the world to bring you into business. If you're not looking, there's no line. There's nothing that I could say. There's no way I could coerce you to join something that you just absolutely don't want to do unless I just, like, am pointing a gun to your head.
I'm just not going to do it. I can't actually do that. That's why I actually don't like cold calling. But let me teach you guys a couple of things that have helped me in concepts because a lot of people, they do the same things on the Internet that don't work offline. And because it's on the Internet, they expect a bunch of people to start joining stuff.
And that's the funny thing because it's actually the exact same thing that offline people do that makes network marketers look like such morons half the time. And then they come online. They say, oh, this should work. Now it's on the Internet. This is amazing.
Of course, everybody's going to be attracted to me wandering around on Facebook instead of Walmart hitting them up, right? No, wrong, folks. They're not going to be attracted at all, and it's going to drive people away from you. All right. So what's an example?
Well, when I got in Amway, what did I do? I wandered around in Walmart. I wandered around in Starbucks. I wandered around in Safeway. I wandered around in shopping malls.
I wandered around in parking lots. I wandered around in bookstores. Wandering around is the kind of key to what I did when I was in Amway, right? Well, what did I do when I first got on the Internet? I started cold calling.
So I went from wandering around to cold calling. Now let me ask you something. If you're sitting on your butt right now or you're walking around listening to this call, does it sound attractive to you? You didn't get involved in that. I'm not saying this to be a telemarketer, right?
Most of you are probably not very attracted to that, but that's exactly what's going to happen if you spend all day cold calling because here's what happens. It repels the very people that you want to get in your business because you're doing something you don't even want to do for a less than desirable income. Does that make sense? All right? Versus you're on this call listening to Dave and I.
I'm living in a 4,000-square-foot home. Now, I didn't when I started. It doesn't matter where you're living now. You'd be living on a trailer and it'd still work, not quite as well, but it'll work, and then you can move into a home. Once you get some money coming in, kind of show off a little and become even more attractive, right?
But in the beginning, I mean, I was living in a van and it still worked. But now I'm living in a 4,000-square-foot home, middle of Costa Rica, middle of the jungle. We've got 15 horses out in front of our house. You're looking at the profit margins on all the things I'm doing. And you look at it and you say, holy smokes.
How are you doing that? And I say, well, you know, honestly, I don't even have a cellphone. Right? So in any case, folks, what's more attractive? All right?
So there has to be a dynamic. So I figure, one of the things I work for is selling products. You're in the business, right? What's your favorite product? And I say, well, I love my products.
I love my clients. I love my business. But if you look at the different aspects of it, there's a lot of different aspects in your business.
You know, you're always comfortable, right? If you're doing something, what are you talking about? That's my day to day activity. Anyway, I do not have a payment plan, attractive, all right?
So there has to be a dynamic in your marketing, all right? A dynamic in your marketing, and this is very important. It doesn't matter whether you're doing it offline or online. In the very front of your process, you have to have mystery and attraction. I'm going to repeat that.
You've got to have mystery and you've got to have attraction. And this is really no different than, you know, what you do when you're dating. You know, who do you marry, ladies, who are on the call tonight? You know, do you marry the guy that chased you around or do you marry the guy that's a little bit mysterious, a little bit maybe a little bit different? You know, he kind of always keeps you on your toes a little bit and he's exciting to be around.
You know, you show up at home and there are flowers there and he's not a stalker. He's just being mysterious with it. You get that and there's a little note in there and you say, man, this is intriguing, you know, and you never really quite know where he is and you just want to be around him, right? You've got to create that same thing, that same air with your prospects. If you're instantly available for every prospect that calls you, even if you're doing attraction marketing, if you instantly pick up the phone for everybody every time that they call you, did you know that you will actually sponsor less people than if you wait a little bit to call people back?
In fact, today, here's what I do and this will make a few of you laugh and maybe one or two of you will get mad, but it's actually a tactic, guys, and the reason I do it is because it works. People call me or they Skype me or they email me. They say, David, can we talk on the phone? And I'll email them back. I'll say, sure, what's going on?
And they'll explain to me kind of what's going on. Or they'll be vague and ambiguous. I actually will never call people off vague and ambiguous emails ever.
If somebody says, David, I want to chat, and I say, what can I do for you? And they don't tell me, I actually never call them back ever. I don't know if Dave's a little different on that. But then people hit me up and they say, Dave, I'm really looking into this. I'm looking into joining your team.
I'm looking into joining this company. He says, can I talk to you? And I say, can you hit me up in an hour? I'm really busy. And then I actually won't follow up if they don't hit me back in an hour.
But I'm telling you something, folks. People will hit me back in an hour. And then they'll say, Dave, can I talk on the phone? I say, oh, man, I'm on the phone right now sponsoring somebody. I'm actually not going to have time for about 35 minutes.
Can you get me back in about 35 minutes? And they say, OK, I'll hit you back in 35 minutes. I say, hey, look, in the meantime, can you go watch this video here? And they'll say, all right. They'll start watching a video.
And I'm just sitting there drinking water or something, looking out over the sunrise here. But I'm waiting, right? Because this person, by the time they talk to me, wants to talk to me so bad, all right, they want to talk to me so bad, they'll literally join right there on the spot. See, most people, here's what they do. When you get a prospect and they come up to you and they say, Dave, I'm thinking about joining Numis, right?
Because everybody here probably knows that I'm in that thing, right? But they're like, Dave, I'm thinking about joining. And you say, oh, my gosh. And you start drooling.
And your eyes start pounding. You start running around the house. You're talking to your wife. I'm going to get one. I'm going to get one.
And you call them back right then. And the excitement just comes through your voice. Well, folks, the problem with that is it's not attractive, all right? So you've got to learn how to pull a little bit more than you push, all right? More mystery on the front end will pull more people into an atmosphere where you can actually sell them.
Always remember, folks, that if you sell them in the 30-second pitch on why they should look at it, that they'll never look at it. Let me repeat that. If you sell them in the little 30-second pitch you do before they look at something, do you know what they're going to do? They'll never actually look at it. And here's why.
There's a psychological thing where they'll say, I already know what it is. I don't need to look at it. If I get somebody on a presentation that's for my company and I have Numis, right, in big red letters on the front of the page, and I say, welcome to Numis at the front of the webinar, guess what happens if there's 100 people that show up to the webinar? 50 of them say, oh, it's Numis. And they just hang up the webinar.
So you've got to pull them in with a little bit of a mystery. You've got to pull them in with the attraction. All right? And then in that process, you have the opportunity to sell to them.
Does that make sense? So you pull them in with the attraction. You pull them in with the mystery. And then they'll actually look at what you've got in a way that they kind of — they just — they even want to be around. They want to spend money because it's so mysterious.
Well, what I'm going to do here real quick, I'm actually going to turn it back over to Dave and just have him kind of rant on this a little bit and go into more of the process. And we're going to get into naturally closed tactics tonight too because I know that's why you guys actually came here. And then we're going to talk about how to bring this whole thing together and how to bring a swarm of hungry, excited distributors into your business and how to, on autopilot, sell products all day like crazy, have thousands of dollars a day coming into your bank account. So Dave, over to you, bud. Hey, yeah, absolutely.
And as you were talking, well, the first thing that I was doing was laughing because some of the stories were just absolutely so hilarious. And as you were talking, I was just honestly relating it to the things that I've done in the past. I mean, running around. Yeah, absolutely. And I'll never forget.
I've been involved in pretty much every gosh darn system out there on the internet, just to be quite frank with you. And that's something that I kind of want to pound home to everybody on the call tonight is, again, that when you meet us, for instance, if you come down to Orlando and come to the Live the Dream event here in October and you meet us, you'll see that you can even cut us and we'll bleed. I mean, we're regular people. I mean, it's so interesting being on calls and looking at somebody who's producing enormous numbers and hearing just being the human element that we're talking about here.
I mean, Dave just sitting there talking about sitting around just kind of sipping coconuts, waiting on phone calls and kind of just living life. I mean, not sitting there watching the email. I mean, when you said that, it was hilarious because I remember sitting there watching my email, waiting for a lead to come through. And as soon as that lead comes through, actually what I used to do is instead of actually picking up the phone and calling them right away, what I would actually do is I'd say, I'd pick up the phone. I'd say, oh, get ready to dial.
I'd put it down. I said, oh, no, don't look desperate. So I'd put it back down. Then I'd pick it up. I'd say, oh, is it time yet?
It'd only been two minutes. And I'm like, oh, no, put it back down. Don't be so desperate. And I played that game for a while and actually waited to call people because I didn't want to look desperate because I was watching my email waiting for one or two or three leads to trickle in. I mean, the interesting thing, and I want to clarify this for everybody on call, when Dave's talking about not really having time to call leads, and I'm in the same situation, I'm not going to call somebody.
I don't chase people down, not by any means. And the reason why is because I get a lot of leads every day. And the other reason why is because I'm busy. And that's kind of a rule that you can really live by. And this is piggybacking off of what Dave said.
If I can really kind of consolidate that into two words, it's called, well, always be busy. Always be busy. By living and doing business by that rule, you'll always be in the correct posture, which is really what is one of the most important elements about this whole thing. But what I want to talk about here very briefly, and before I do, I was going to tell a story, and that story was I can remember when I first showed up on a leaderboard in a certain system that I was promoting. And this is a story that I kind of tell often because it's actually curious.
I showed up on the leaderboards of this system for total lead increases. That means that I just started to get some leads coming into my marketing funnels and coming into my website. I hadn't even made a sale yet. I hadn't even made a dime, but just showed up on the leaderboards for total lead increases over time. And I'll never forget, I had just kind of watched, I think I just watched Rudy or something.
Not too long ago, the movie Rudy. And those of you who haven't seen it should watch it. And those of you who have seen it will recognize this part of the movie. But I ran around my house in my boxer shorts and then did a couple of laps around my yard screaming, who's the wild man now? You know, because for so long, people said, oh, what are you doing?
That dang pyramid thing. Oh, God, you'll never make it. You'll never make any money. Get away from me. Oh, what scheme you got now?
And I said, hey, man, I'm going to be rich in this thing, man. I'm generating leads now. Holy smokes, who's the wild man now? Because that's just where I was at. I mean, things are a little bit different today.
One mental aspect of where I was at that time, though, was I had not yet developed my self-esteem to actually feel as if I deserve to make money, though. So a lot of times, those leads that I actually did get on the phone or the people that I did talk to, here's what I would do. I would actually spend anywhere from 10, 15, now get this, and let's be honest, can you relate to this, on the phone with somebody for a half hour, 45 minutes, sometimes even an hour, literally, at 4 and 5 o'clock after I'd gotten done swinging a hammer all day and I was dead tired, my girlfriend was yelling at me to come in for dinner or something. I'd be pacing back and forth in the backyard talking to some prospect who I knew if I got into my business would make me rich.
And the bottom line was is they hadn't seen a presentation yet, just like Dave was just talking about a second ago. They had no idea really what I was talking about because all I was doing was talking about details and confusing them with the things that really didn't matter at this point. I hadn't allowed them to identify a problem that my business was a solution to, and I was going round and round. And when it came time for me to actually move in to ask for money or ask them to join my business, well, that's when I really started to stumble.
And there was a couple of reasons why. The first reason why is because I didn't actually know that asking for money or asking somebody to join my business was actually the most important part when I got them to that final stage of the closing process inside of the whole thing was I actually needed to say, hey, Johnny, what'd you like best about what you saw? It sounds like, buddy, you're ready to get started. Let me go ahead and get this form so you can go ahead and fill this thing out. Actually asking somebody to get started in my business. Now, let me just say that one more time. The most important thing we can do, all of this work.
We can talk about how to prep somebody. We can talk about how to target the correct prospects. We can talk about how to create a connection with people emotionally that's deeper than just what everybody else is doing out there that will actually get people to follow you and water them down. And I think that's what I was doing.
I'm going to go ahead and tell you the three things that I've done before I turn it back over to Dave here that have literally allowed me to increase my closing numbers, my closing ratios, my sponsoring numbers. At the beginning of this year, I built a team of over a thousand people in less than 90 days and I made 500 phone calls that week. And I used these three psychological approaches on almost every single person that I talked to. Every single person that I talked to, I'd take through the same process. I'd put them in front of a presentation.
I'd follow up with them or they would follow up with me and they would usually, if they weren't ready to join right now, have a couple of the same objections that you probably hear every single day, which is, I don't have the money. I need to talk to my dog. I need to check with my doctor. She has my cholesterol. All right, did John.
I need to talk to my neighbor. I need to talk with broke cousin Eddie, who's going to give me some financial advice before I join. I mean, the same thing that we hear over and over again. So I pretty much learned to reply to people the same way. And the first thing that I would do is I would assume the sale.
I would say, hey, sounds like you're ready to get started. Or something that actually Dave teaches all the time, which is asking people what you like best about what you saw and then saying, sounds like you're ready to get started. Well, the second thing that I would do is I would be very frank with people. People would start kicking tires. They'd start telling me how they had to consult with their broke cousin Eddie, who is their financial planner, to see if they could pull out a cash advance from Amscot to be able to join the business and check with Aunt Bertha and see if she could forge and wire some money to them.
I would say, hey, John, let's just be frank with each other here. What's the real reason why you're not getting started today? And what that would do is that would create this atmosphere with people of just pure honesty. We get past all the patting each other on the butt and being all soft with each other and we just say, hey, what's the bottom line here? And what that did was that gave me the respect to just talk frank with somebody.
And you think about the people in your life who you shoot straight with, you respect those people more. That's the respect that you get when you talk frank with people. The third thing that I do, and this is my favorite, you guys will think this is hilarious, and I'm going to pass this over to Dave after I say this because I know he's going to get a kick out of this, is I love to use the word "the old I don't know." What do I mean by the old I don't know?
Well, these real sharp, intelligent people who after they watch a video presentation, they got two pages of notes, they got to know where the company's owner's mother went to college. They want to know exactly how they're going to get paid on their hundredth level and all these really complicated questions. Well, I would tell them, hey, you know what? I just don't know the answers to that question. But if I find the answers to that question, is that going to put you in a position to be able to get started today?
Nine times out of 10, sometimes even more, I mean 9.99 times out of 10, people would say, oh, it's not really that big of a deal. And the reason why they would do that is because it's the same psychological concept that Dave was talking about when people prejudge something. If he was to put Numis or whatever all over the front of a capture page or at the very beginning of a presentation, people prejudge things. A lot of times people do the same thing when they get on the phone with you. They want to balk at you a little bit.
And you just got to tell them, hey, guess what? I don't know. You don't have to know everything. Actually, less is more sometimes.
That's actually one of the strategies, one of the psychological approaches that I probably will use more than anything that allows me to have better results than the majority of the people that I've worked side by side with inside of this industry. So with that being said, I'm going to throw it back over to you, buddy. Yeah, well, you know, there's a couple of things here, folks, that are real key to understand. So let's look at the psychology behind what — and there's a couple of important points that I actually want to cover in just what Dave was saying right there.
And I want to point some things out that some people would have missed. And then kind of expound on a couple of really important things that, and the concepts really that drive why this is important to do with people at the right phase. All right. Now, the first thing that I wanted to point out is that who's he talking to when he's closing? When somebody has seen a presentation, all right, he's calling them back, or they're calling him, or he's getting on the phone somehow, right?
And he's saying, what did you like best about what you saw? And he's asking for a decision. All right. Or he's just asking for a decision. So you're ready to get started, right?
Sometimes I don't even ask for a decision. I literally tell them they're joining. So what I do is I say, hey, you know, what do you like best about the presentation? You know, and I say kind of playfully, like I'm expecting them to just like everything about it. And then they might pause, and then they'll start talking a little bit.
I say, hey, you know, are you still in front of the computer there? And they say, yeah, well, it sounds like you're ready to get started. Let's get you enrolled, you know? And then I'll just pause, right? And I actually wait for a response, even though I didn't even ask a question.
If you guys noticed there, I didn't actually even ask a question, but it's an imposed question, all right? It's an intended question where I say, so it sounds like you're ready to get started, right, Dave? And he almost just has to say, well, yeah, I suppose I'm ready to get started. Well, are you in front of the computer right now? Yeah, I'm in front of the computer.
And then you just start signing them up. I mean, and the first time I did this actually was not in network marketing. It was actually — I used to sell, some people who know this know me forever, very few people actually know this because I think I talked about this once, but I actually used to sell Rainbow vacuum cleaners. Way, way, way back in the day.
And I'd show up, I mean, I was like 18 years old. I'd show up in ratted shorts, you know, at somebody's house and like a tie-dye t-shirt and sell them a $3,000 vacuum, you know, because that was my job. It was my job when I was like 18 years old to sell vacuum cleaners in people's homes. You know, somebody had set an appointment, I'd show up and sell the vacuum. It was the most hilarious job ever, really, right?
So I'd get these little contracts, people, but here's the close that I used. I remember, I still remember because it was the first time I ever really sold anything for any significant amount of money. First time, I still remember it. The guy at the office taught me this close where he said, here, Dave, after you go through the presentation, you get them to agree that it's worth it, all right? Because we had this little price breakdown, you know, isn't it worth $400 if you buy the vacuum?
And they're like, well, yeah, because you're adding up cleaners and all these things they buy over their whole life, right? And then you're like, well, it's only $3,000, but don't you think it'd be worth it if it was $10,000? And people would always say, yeah, to the question. Sounds ludicrous out on the phone, but if you ever saw the presentation, you'd say, well, yeah, it'd definitely be worth it if I had that kind of money.
And then what I used to do before I even told them the price of the Rainbow, okay, I used to get them to agree on how much it was worth, all right? And then I would stand up, reach my hand across the table and say, welcome to Rainbow. And I'd just leave my hand out there. And if they shook my hand, they bought every time, right? That was kind of just the way that it happened.
And the funny thing about this was, I still remember, just everybody on the phone, just because you're going to experience it — first time you really are courageous and on the edge with recruiting, first time you do it, you will be so nervous, it will be unbelievable. Your heart will be pounding, and it might not even work. And that's fine if it doesn't work, but your heart will just, you just want to talk to fill the space to stop the nervousness, because they're nervous, and you're nervous, and you don't know what to do. But I remember first time, my heart's racing, my heart's pounding, right?
First time I ever tried it, it took me five appointments to even try to do it, all right? But now I stood up, first time I ever tried it, stood up, stuck my hand out, and I said, welcome to Rainbow. They hadn't even known the price, they weren't agreeing to buy the thing, they were just shaking my hand, all right? But the thing is about that psychologically is now they felt like they were going to buy it, right? I remember first time, the guy smiled and he said, thank you for welcoming me, let's sign these papers here, how much is this thing, right?
And I literally could not believe it. But take the same thing in network marketing, all right? Same thing in network marketing, here's what's going to happen. You're going to get on the phone, and you're going to say, it sounds like you're ready to get started, and there's going to be an awkward little silence there that's going to pop up where the person might even stutter a little bit, all right? And it's very tempting to go in there in that silence and to just start talking to just kind of cover the uncomfortability, because we would never want to make anybody uncomfortable.
But the reality is that is not pressure that you're exerting on the person, it's actually pressure that a person is creating within themselves internally before they make decisions. Every time anybody ever makes a decision, there's internal pressure that kind of pushes on them to make that decision. And that's actually what's being created there when you just leave that silence. So it's very important for you to just sit there and wait when you say, Dave, you're ready to get started, buddy?
And there's going to be a silence. And then he's going to tell you yes or no, or maybe, or I got to think about it, or whatever. And if you're talking to the right people at the right time, like we talked about in this call, and we'll show you how to do over the course of the next few weeks, they will say yes, 80 to 85% of the time, they'll just say yes. If you just stay to your guns and just keep quiet, just keep that mouth shut, I promise you, they will say, I'm ready to get started.
You say, now here's the really important thing after they say that, you say, well, then let's get you enrolled, I'll get you plugged into our team system, and make sure you get started right. We'll go ahead and do it with you while I'm on the phone. Still in front of that computer, ain't you? Or would you rather me fill it out on my side? No, no, I'm in front of the computer.
Dave, go to thissite.com forward slash David Wood. Go ahead and hit that button that says join, and I'll just walk you through this enrollment process, make sure everything gets filled out properly. And that way, if we have any problems, we can call the company and get it sorted out. See, I want him to feel comfortable in that process. To even notice, to actually get here, folks, how long of a conversation was it for me?
Maybe a minute and 45 seconds, all right? And that's literally all the prospects. I do. It's just bringing people in, right, when they're ready to join. I mean, a minute and 45 seconds for a Fast Start commission is not bad money, even for me, right?
It's really not that bad. And I'll actually literally enroll them right there on the spot. Now, it's also very important to just point out that Dave and I, if we're on the phone with somebody, and they're ready to make a decision, do we wait to get them signed up, or do we enroll them right there on the spot? This is very important. What do we do?
We enroll them right there on the spot. Why? Because they're ready to join. All right. So very important, number one.
Ask people, here's the key, who are ready to join, to join, all right? That's the key, number one, all right? Number two, stick to the silence. You've got to stick to the silence and be comfortable with uncomfortability, all right?
And number three, sign them up on the spot when they're ready to join, because if you don't let them do it and get back to you, they won't do it eight out of ten times. You'll actually lose. If you recruit two people automatically, who you tell to call you back after they join, you would recruit ten people if you just stayed on the phone, took one minute, and signed them up there right there on the spot when they're ready to join. I promise you that's the way that it works. Those are the numbers, and that's the case, all right?
Because I've tested it, right? Now, here's the last key that I want to point out about what Dave was doing. That's how he's handling objections. Most people, all right, you look at this, because this is the same thing I do, folks. This is why I'm noticing all this stuff, because what he's doing, even though the wording might be slightly different, slightly off from what I exactly say, the wording doesn't matter.
What matters is the psychology behind what he's doing, and the process is what matters, and it's the same exact thing if you look at the psychology and the process. All right, so what's he doing when they throw an objection? What most people do is they answer the objection, all right? And there's this principle in Kung Fu, all right? I took Kung Fu growing up, and there's this principle in it called attack the attack.
Attack the attack, right? It's the same word if you look at, you know, that Bruce Lee martial art. What Jeet Kune means is the art of intercepting fist, all right? So essentially, when you attack the attack, when something comes at you, you move right on it. See, what most people do when they get an objection is they kind of dodge around, and then they come back like a little, you know, they're kind of like, oh, I just got hit in the face, and they kind of come back.
Well, let me explain to you, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I guess, you know, go ahead and talk to your spouse. But here's what you should do. You need to be very direct right at objections, folks. You need to attack the attack.
And you don't need to be mean when you attack them. You just got to understand that you've got to direct that same exact energy that somebody just put at you right back at them at the objection and stop it in its tracks. Because, folks, here's what people do. And they don't do it because they're bad people. In fact, most of these people are not even doing it consciously.
What people do, folks, is they make up reasons. They make up reasons why they can't do something because they're so used to doing it, because it's a cultural automated thing where we automatically start making up excuses every time we're presented with any sort of decision that takes any amount of effort because it's easier to put up the excuse than it is to actually handle the emotional energy of the decision, all right? So what do girls do most of the time if you've ever been a single guy and you're going and you're talking to girls and flirting and stuff like this, right? What do they do if you go up there and you just start hitting on a girl, right? What does she do?
She starts putting up objections, doesn't she? Same thing that prospects do, folks. It's no different. It's a social phenomenon. So you need to remember that, right?
And how do you handle it? You attack directly at it. So if somebody says to me, Dave, I've got to talk to my spouse. See, most people — I actually respect people who need to talk to their spouse about everything. My wife and I actually have this trusted relationship where I let her make decisions over her domain.
She lets me make decisions over my domain because we realize that we're good at different things. We don't need to talk about every time we're spending $50 or $100 on something, all right? We just don't need to talk about it. I respect that it's not required, but I respect when somebody's in a relationship where it is required, all right? But I also realize most people who say it's required are actually lying because they'll go out and they'll spend $500 at Walmart on a flat-screen TV and not even ask their wife about it and put it on a credit card and bring it home and surprise her, right?
And now they're saying they need to talk to their wife about spending $500 on a business, and they actually don't do that about anything else in their life, all right? So what I do is really simple. Somebody says, Dave, I need to talk to my spouse, and you can word this however you want. Just remember it's what you're doing. What I do is somebody says, Dave, I need to talk to my spouse.
I say, Dave, can I ask you a question just back in return just before we continue on so you and I can be on the same page? Because I just always like being honest, right? Is it okay if I'm honest with you? And he says, well, yeah, it's okay if you're honest. I say, Dave, I realize you might need to talk to your spouse, but I realize you might just also not be interested in all that I'm doing.
So here's what I'm going to ask you, and I'll be upfront and direct. Do you want to join right now? You're ready to join right now, and you would join if you had your wife's approval because you got the money on your credit card and you actually want to do it, or are you just actually telling me that you want to talk to your spouse because you're not interested and you don't want to hurt my feelings? Now, that's just brutal, right?
I mean, you're almost uncomfortable hearing it, right? I promise I do that, right? And here's what happens. Somebody will pause, and they'll say, oh, I need to talk to my spouse. I say, oh, okay.
Interesting. Do you talk to your spouse about everything? They'll say, yeah, okay. Cool, man. Go for it.
Talk to your spouse. Get back to me, right? I won't even follow up after that. And actually, some other people would, and you could follow up if you just had less leads or whatever. But you know what a lot of times people will do, and this is just so freeing, guys, what they'll do a lot of times is they'll say, you know, Dave, you just caught me.
I'm actually just not interested. And I say, isn't it good just to be honest for a sec? I appreciate you, man. And then we both start laughing. I say, hey, I got to run.
You got to run. You're ever interested? You hit me back. Right? I just free them from that burden of feeling like they're lying to me, right?
Because a lot of people will just automatically, without even thinking about it, they'll just start lying. And do you want to be calling people back again and again and again? You're expecting them to talk to their wife at any moment, but the reality is they told you that as a defense mechanism because they want to avoid the decision of actually telling you that they're not interested. Do you guys see that? Do you understand that?
So Dave does it, too, and he does it in a little bit of a different way. But what's he doing? He's attacking the attack. Right? Because you've got to find out if the objection is real.
So what do you do? You qualify the objection. And then after you qualify the objection, you come right back to the close. So somebody says, well, you know what, Dave, I'm just kind of ready to get started, honestly. You say, well, then let's get you enrolled.
Right? Let's get you enrolled. So Dave, that's what I do. I know we're coming up here on the hour. Just remember, guys, when you're talking to the right people, it's easy to close.
When you're talking to the wrong people, it's very difficult to close. And if you can get a lot of the right people on the phone at the right moment with you every day, you can talk to five people and recruit three or four people a day. I promise you, you can do it because I've consistently done it now for over two years every day. How can you do it? By learning the rest of what we're going to teach you over the course of the next couple weeks.
So I don't really have anything else to cover. You know, those of you who are going to meet us out in Orlando, we've been talking about that here for a couple weeks. But those of you who are actually meeting us out at that Orlando thing, you know, we're going to bring some things up and actually create a little inner circle and actually show you guys, walk you through the process of how to create a massive, unbelievable organization very quickly. And I don't know if I should plug that or not this week.
But go ahead, buddy. Go ahead, man. Absolutely. If you guys go to workwithdavidwood.com forward slash dream — and I might cut off any time here because I'm almost out of batteries — we're holding an inner circle meeting down in Orlando, Florida, Friday night, Saturday, Sunday night.
Dave and I have been working on a model to help people recruit and to build the business exponentially faster than you can actually with anything that's on the Internet entirely. And the reason we are able to put together the model is because of our existing skill sets. We've recruited a combined total of thousands and thousands of people just over the last year. Dave and I combined together, our daily incomes.
Combined together are anywhere from five to ten thousand bucks a day. All right. And we're going to show you guys how to do that. We got this dream of actually creating a scalable model that you don't have to invent.
So in other words, folks, we're going to show you how to be a guru marketer if you want to be a guru marketer. But we're actually going to show you how to make guru money without even having to be one if you don't want to be one, because we realize there's a tremendous amount of people out there with extraordinary talents. And we can pull those together and we can actually get you guys to Mike Dillard and Nancy and Dagan Smith and my kind of incomes and Dave's kind of incomes. We can actually get you these incomes without having to do all the stuff that we do through this process and this new model that we're inventing to create income from the Internet and to drive that into your primary network marketing businesses or your companies or whatever it is that you're doing.
So those of you who really want to change and make a breakthrough in your business, we're not actually asking for any money to attend that mastermind. You can actually attend it for free. It's going to be — we're meeting, though you're going to have to stay up late some of the nights, we're going to be meeting in the mornings and stuff like that because that event's going on all weekend. We can interrupt the event, but folks, we're actually going to take you through. We're going to create this plan of action here over the next 90 days to six months.
Where we literally are going to take over the entire Internet niche, and we're just going to do it because you and I together, we can do it. So that's where it starts again. We're not asking for any money to attend that event, but you do have to buy the tickets to the Live the Dream event. So if you go to workwithdavidwood.com forward slash dream, you can get those. We'd love to connect with you there.
And here's my real key and this is my real core. And I'm going to turn it back over to Dave because after this, I'm actually probably going to get booted off the call because I'm almost out of batteries here. But here's the reality, folks. I really want you to understand. Here's my heart.
My heart is to help you in your business and to help you succeed. I want you to make money.
I mean at the end of the day, folks, I realize that you're here for one reason on this call. You're here because you've got a vision. You've got a dream. You want to put your toes in the hot sand every day and watch the waves rolling in right out in front of your beach house. Or you want to live up in some sort of tropical paradise.
Or maybe you want to get a big house or a big apartment in a tower in New York City and look out over the skyscrapers every day and just travel the world with the person that you love. I realize that you're here for your own intentions. You've got your own vision. You've got your own dream.
My goal — you can't accomplish that dream without income. So our goal is actually primarily focused at making you money. You are going to be able to make money faster than anything that you've ever done in your entire life. And you don't even have to join our primary company to do that, folks.
You can be in anything that you want to be, although of course you're welcome to join at any time. But folks, the reality is we're going to show you just point blank at that event. We're going to start it with a very small inner circle. And just trust me, folks, if you just got to cross some things off the schedule, fly down to Orlando the 22nd through the 24th.
If you just got to cross some things off in your life to get down there, this is worth it. So cross the things off your life. Go buy your tickets. I think it's like $200 for the least expensive tickets.
It's $700 for the top package or something like that. Folks, come down. Do whatever it takes. Come to the event because we really want to connect with you. We really want to take you folks and show you how the big money is made because we've arrived at some stuff that other people aren't doing.
I'm out earning almost everybody in the entire niche right now, folks, even the top people. And Dave, I'm telling you, his marketing, he's making as much per lead as I am, meaning that his income is actually only a few months behind mine. It's not actually a skill issue anymore. He's right there with me as well. And I'm telling you, folks, that is just starting.
You know what's going to happen over the next six months? There will be people on this call. I promise you it will happen. There are going to be people who have never done this before. There are going to be people who come to those private mastermind events.
They've never been able to sponsor people in their life and they're going to come out and they're going to sponsor two people a day every day for the next year and a half like I did, folks. There are going to be people who drive in a van, homeless, coming to that event who come and they meet with us and they connect with us and then they finally learn what it really takes to build a big business and they're going to come out of that event and they're going to make a million dollars in the next year. So the only question is really, folks, is are you serious about this? Are you serious about your business and are you willing to do what it takes? So that being said, I'm really looking forward to connecting with you.
Dave, I'm going to turn it back over to you, buddy. Again, the website, folks, is workwithdavidwood.com forward slash dream. You've got to fill in a little form and you can get those tickets there. Cool, man. Absolutely.
Appreciate you, man. And just to kind of close the call, I don't have much else to say, guys, except I want to kind of drill home in closing thoughts just exactly what the benefit of continuing to walk beside us throughout this process is going to be. We're not looking to walk in front of people and we're definitely not looking to walk behind people.
We're looking to actually lock arms and connect with people. We don't care what color your skin is. We don't care what language you speak. We don't care what sexual identity you have. We don't care what religion you are.
We don't care what network marketing company you're in. Whether you like network marketing, whether you don't. Whatever you've done in the past, what you've done up until this point or what you're doing right now. We don't care. We want to actually hand over what we've been doing to you and allow you to be able to create the results inside of your life, inside of your business, inside of your income that you actually deserve.
Up until this point, there really hasn't been anything that people can plug into that they can actually get real results with. The reason why we've been doing these calls and being so transparent with you and giving you so much value is because what we have for you is not going to be about fees. We're not talking about theories. We're not talking about all kinds of different confusing, overwhelming stuff that's going to have you more overwhelmed than maybe you were before. We want to get you a very clear message about what actually makes money inside of this industry, which is exactly why we're doing these calls every Monday night.
Here's what I'll leave you with is if you haven't made a decision to get to Orlando in October, if you haven't made a decision to actually buckle down, lock arms with us. And again, when I say lock arms, please don't prejudge that, my friends, because if you think you know what we're up to, you don't. Here's what I'll tell you is that if you lock arms with us and meet us down in Orlando, we're not going to fill you with theories. We're not going to fill you with philosophies. We're actually going to give you something tangible.
Let me say that again. We are actually going to give you something tangible that you can wrap your head around, you can sink your teeth into, and you can hold in. You can take with you and you can create the type of income, make the type of paycheck that you actually deserve, my friends. Please know that the interest that we have in mind in doing what we're doing is for all of us. So many times up until this point, people have had their best interest in mind and their company's interest in mind and just the people at the top's interest in mind.
But you know what? After working with hundreds and thousands, and literally tens of thousands of people inside of this industry and inside of our business, we are sick and tired of seeing people not making money and having the type of success that they are right about to have. My friends, we're sick and tired of seeing people have breakdowns who want to help people have breakthroughs, and that's exactly why we've united together to do exactly what we're doing. We're looking forward to seeing you guys next Monday, same place, same time. You should get the invitation in your email just like you did this week.
And with that being said, I'm going to go ahead and close up the call. I'm going to go ahead and unmute the lines. And once I do, you can scream, you can yell, you can say goodnight, you can say we love you, you can say you rock, you can say whatever you want. But whatever you do, make sure that you're passionate, make sure that you're excited. We're looking forward to connecting with you.
