Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary, as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.

Yeah, so anyways, I woke up, and you know, I got a message from Aaron Ratchney, and he's like, are you going to be on the call? I was like, of course, right? So I checked, and they'd scheduled a replay, and then we were trying to turn it off and ended up having to end the conference call and actually start again. So if you guys just go on Facebook and repost, say, hey, dial back in, or tell people to refresh the page, if people refresh the page, you'll come back, and they'll actually hear the new call, and I apologize for that.
You were actually listening to a story that was like about eight or nine months old, but the philosophies are all the same. I got started in this industry because I was sick of the bulls. You know, I got started in this industry because I was sick of the bullshit of having a job, and then after a while, I noticed that most of the things that I saw people saying versus what they were doing in this industry were nonsense, too. And when I got started on the internet in 2009, I had come from seven months of just brutal failure, or seven years, excuse me, I'm getting distracted by my own call, seven years of brutal failure, and I got on the internet, and I learned the secrets of attractive marketing, and it wasn't only a few months until I went from zero to making multiple five figures monthly. You can see our income disclosure, I'm not even talking about a power network, that was before this existed.
And it was all because I learned some marketing principles to learn how to attract people to me rather than learning how to chase people down, and there's a big difference. You know, most people in this industry fail because they are the hunter rather than learning to become the hunted, and there's a whole science there that I don't have time to get into all of it tonight, but we do teach it inside of our products. So we started Power Network 2011, and since that time we've done about $185 million in sales. But what I want to talk about tonight is I want to talk about getting to the next level and how we're going to do that, and what we just did here in Miami, Florida with really a small group of leaders. We had about 40 people travel in from all over the world, all the way from Australia, we had people traveling from Colorado, from Costa Rica, that's where I'm from, from Canada, all the way from Europe, from Portugal, different places in South America, and we just reignited the fire in this community by really getting back to our core, and the thing that makes me the most excited about where we are right now is not what we've done, it's that we're doing the things that built us to where we are, only we're doing a better job of them.
Because I remember a long time ago I was standing in an event, and I was actually standing up in the, I forgot what you call that, the nosebleed section, I think they call it that because if they hit a home run and the ball hits you in the face, maybe it'll make your nose bleed, but I was like way up in the nosebleeds, right, and I was listening to this guy who had just gone, he just hit a rank called double diamond, right, and he was telling this story about how he did that, he'd been stuck at one level for a long time, and then he finally had a breakthrough and he got to the next level, and he told his story, and his story was he had hit that first rank and then he went and he talked to his mentor, and he says what do I got to do to hit the next rank, and his mentor said never stop doing what got you here in the first place, and what happens a lot of times when you succeed is no different than kind of the patterns you run when you don't succeed, you do them on a bigger scale, and so what a lot of people end up doing is they do a bunch of stuff that creates this initial burst of success, and then they stop doing the things that got them that success, and they start doing something else, and then they wonder why the results decline or they fall apart or they break down, right, and fundamentally in Empower Network the things that will get us to a half billion dollars a year, the things that will get us to a quarter billion dollars a year, half billion, a billion dollars a year are the things that helped us do our first 185 million dollars in sales only doing them better, more efficient, more scalable, and in a way that everybody in the whole team understands how every part of our business model works and how to make it better all the time, it's taking what we have and it's refining it, making it better, making it more scalable, and putting better marketing material in it, so this is the first thing I'm going to tell you guys, if you guys were not at the Generation Hero event or you weren't on the live stream, you missed out big time, and I'm not saying that because I'm trying to make you feel bad about that, I'm just saying that because you really missed, I believe, the best event we've ever had, and we say that, it's funny, we've been saying that about every event we've had, it's like we go to an event, it's like the best event we've ever had, but this event really was special and it really was different and here's why, it's because rather than doing what we normally do, we decided to do something a little bit different, we took our whole business model and all of the sales processes that are inside Empower Network and live in front of a group, together we strategized and we masterminded our entire business model and all of the sales process inside of it and refilmed sales material literally for every part of our process in order to do everything that we're currently doing better, quicker and faster, of course all that stuff is going to be tested before it goes live, but it was really a transformational experience for a lot of people to hear and see because they actually got to see us map out and strategize how it is that we've created hundreds of millions of dollars in sales at this point, and I want you to really hear that again, hundreds of millions of dollars in sales guys, we've done 185 million, we're going on to our second hundred million this year and that's not by accident, there's a strategy behind that and that event, if you saw it, you know how we did that and that's the powerful thing and not only that, but you know how you can participate with us as we build back to a point where we're doing tens of millions of dollars, not a year, but a month and that's where we're headed and I want everybody on this call to realize something, that you've got your hands on something special, we're headed to a place where we're going to create so much success that it's going to make anything that we've done in the past and anything that anybody else has done in the past surrounding or trying to knock us off or copy us or even outside of us in totally different industries, it's going to make everything look puny and the reason I can say that so confidently is because I know that nobody's ever done the kinds of things that we've done and it's not because I'm better than somebody else or I'm superior in some ways, because we've got such a great team of people surrounding us that really have good hearts and really have a heart for the field and really have a heart for the company and so we're headed to big places, but what I wanted to do and I don't know if they're on right now, so I've got to actually check, but I wanted to ask is anybody from the council, I invited a few people out to just share your thoughts and your feedback, Aaron Rashkin, Justin, Anna, Alex, are you on the call? If you're not, I will just continue to talk for a little while, hold on, can't hear you, okay, I will continue to talk and when they pop on, they can interrupt me, so in any case, you know, in any case, let me tell you a little bit about how this event came to be and also what we did there and what's happening next and how you can really make money in your business and I want to talk about our next event and what's going to happen at that next event and how we're going to build for it too and so this event was different and like I said, and there's a handful of reasons for that, you know, I was looking at earlier in the month, I really got excited about what we're doing again in a big way and there was just like something that came over me and I said, I want to take Empower Network to the next level and so what I started to do was I started to look through all of our processes and all the parts of our company and to ask the question, how can I take this and I can get it to the next level, how can I take it and make it better, right? And so I just started looking through numbers, I started looking through tons of graphs, we have like tons of data now that's available to us that we never had at any point in the past and data to a lot of people, especially if you're just joining, you don't really know how to utilize it and it might not excite you too much, right? But I was taking a look at our sales conversions, you know, how we're bringing people into Empower Network, I was taking a look at our upsells, I was taking a look at the new member experience in the back office, I was taking a look at the way that we used to do things when we first got started and kind of chuckling, you know, at some of my old videos when I used to kind of like live out in the mountains near the beach in Costa Rica, literally in the middle of nowhere where all you could see as far as your eyes could stretch was horses, you know, and mountains and the ocean in the background, you know, I was taking a look at some of my old videos and chuckling and some of my old emails and some of the emails that we've been writing in the next little bit and I logged in to the back office and this is actually near the beginning of January and I was looking at what people were experiencing as they were coming in and I just said, you know, there's something off here and I don't quite know why it's off but there's just something massive that I feel like is off in the way new people are experiencing this company that's going to stop them from really growing as fast as I want them to be able to grow. And so I sat there looking through data and looking through graphs and like looking at the member experience for like two or three weeks and what I did was I decided to run a massive simplification on what we're doing and dramatically improve our sales process and make it way more simple for new people to come in and to make a lot of money really quickly and so near the beginning of January, I got with our tech teams, I got with our design teams, I completely re-engineered and redesigned the members area in Power Network.
I created new sales material, bringing a new member from joining all the way through the upsell process, educating them on our product line. I redesigned and re-engineered our fast start processes in Power Network to make sure that every single person that gets started understands how they can come in and how they can make money quickly. I tested about eight variations of our sales videos, seeing if I could beat the front-end conversions although our front-end conversions were actually really hard to beat. The sixth variation that I put out actually increased conversions on normal traffic by about 30% and then on mobile traffic, we increased it a lot more by about 200% and then our front-end numbers started to increase, our upsells started to increase and we had scheduled Mastermind with a handful of leaders out in Miami, Florida and we had put a live stream on and we decided to kind of do that on a more massive scale and get more people attending that live stream. And you know, I just knew that we could take that group of people and we could change things and we could get this whole company into a state of excitement and momentum again.
And so, I was redesigning the back office, I was creating a new blog theme, creating new sales processes all at once, working like with all of the internal teams and making sure things are just right and then all this stuff started to go live a couple of weeks before this event out here in Miami and then I really started to think, it's like what can I do here to really help people get what we do and to really simplify it and also make sure every member in Empower Network understands well making the sales better and that's what just happened this last week. And I'm telling you guys who are on the call especially if you missed that event that you are missing out big time by not getting access to the information that we shared at that last event and also you're going to be shooting yourself in the foot in your business by not making a decision to attend all the events in the future. When I got started in this industry it was 2002 and I made two decisions really early on in my business that I'll tell you if I hadn't made, not only would I not be here today but I wouldn't be in the industry today and I'd probably be working some sort of odd sales job somewhere making two or three thousand dollars a month is probably what I would end up doing. And the two decisions are this, right? I decided that I was going to do daily personal development and I was never going to stop and that included listening to audios for 30, 60 minutes a day and reading for 15 minutes to an hour a day.
And I decided to do that in 2002 and I started doing it then. That was the decision number one. The second decision I made and this is of equal or I wouldn't say greater importance but equal importance because they feed into each other was I decided that I was going to go to every event for the company I was in all the time forever and I was never going to stop. So I decided to do those two things and those two things were not instant result things. Those two things were growing myself type things because the problem when I got into the industry was not the company I was involved with although that was harder to build than what I'm doing now but the problem fundamentally wasn't the company.
The problem was not the products. The problem was not their compensation plan although their compensation plan was difficult to make money in. That wasn't the real problem because I could have at least made some money in and I didn't. The problem actually was me because I wasn't the kind of leader that real good people wanted to follow because I hadn't learned enough yet and I hadn't grown enough yet and I needed to educate myself and change myself in order to change the world around me in order to change other people's lives. And I think sometimes people discount that process.
They want to go out there and change the world. They want to change other people's lives. They want to change other people's futures. They want to change other people's finances but they don't want to go through that process to where they're changing what's in their own mind and heart before they do. And so what ends up happening is it's like the blind end up trying to lead the blind but what does it say?
It says they both fall into a ditch. It winds out to where two lost people are trying to lead each other and it just doesn't work because nobody's going to follow somebody who's not worthy to be followed for a long period of time. You got to grow yourself if you want to grow your ability to lead people. And so I made a decision to do that in 2002 and even though I didn't succeed in the industry and even though I quit and I joined new things and I went through quitting patterns, see a lot of people when they say they quit a company in the past, they don't say I quit, they say I moved on. But they actually quit.
So I actually quit my first company. I was a quitter, right? And I didn't start succeeding until I stopped being a quitter and I made a decision that I was going to stick with what I was doing and that happened in 2009 and it happened through a lot of self-reflection and a lot of personal development. I stopped being a quitter. I stopped making excuses.
I stopped making up reasons and blaming my lack of success on other people and I started creating in my own business with my own vision, with my own inspiration and I started leading like I was the leader, not like I was the follower and there's a big difference between the two. See a lot of people when they get involved and I did this too and this is why the reason why I'm pointing it out is so hopefully I can help you have a self-realization and in self-realization I can help you have an income increase and a financial realization at the same time. See what I was doing was what most people do and it's not because I'm better than them that I'm doing it a different way now. It's because I did what they did and I learned my way out of it because sometimes you've got to go through these experiences no matter what people say and you got to go through your own failures to realize that the things that you heard for all those years really are the truth. You know I spent my time in the first few years in this industry just looking for some sort of a secret, right, looking for something that's not there.
I was looking for some sort of mysterious key that's going to unlock the gateways to my future. I was looking for something that really didn't exist because the things that did exist, things that were the shortcuts, the things that were the secrets I was ignoring and I wasn't doing them. You know people used to tell me to write my goals and to get really clear on my outcomes and my vision and you want to know how long it took me to do that? It took me until 2006 before I did that the very first time to where I was really perfectly clear and really, really, really did it the way that they taught me to do it when I got started in the industry. Had I done that when I got started in the industry, I absolutely would have succeeded at some level or another in my very first company.
But I didn't do it. I always took it for granted and I always said, okay, yeah, I'm going to go diamond. Yeah, okay, I'm going to get to the top. I'm going to be rich. I'm going to do it.
Yeah, I'm in the two to four year plan, okay, and then two to four years later, where was I? I was in the two to four year plan, right? Why? Because I was repeating what I had heard. I wasn't actually doing it and there's a big difference.
And so in 2006, I actually got clear on my outcome for the very first time and this was before I created Massive Success and the reason I didn't create Massive Success is because my clear outcome that I created wasn't for Massive Success. It was I was going to dominate the city that I was in for this offline network marketing company that I was creating. So I made this like very detailed, ten page long outcome plan to dominate that area. Now here's the thing, right? I did do it, right?
I did it because I was clear because all of a sudden I had a vision because when you speak with vision, when you speak with clarity, people just start to follow you and you end up accomplishing that thing. And so that was 2006 but what was the problem with it is my town only had 30,000 people and dominating that city couldn't make me more than a few thousand dollars a month. And so I ended up after getting burnt out, exerting all of my energy for my very little vision, getting burnt out, quitting and then kind of floating around for a little while and then in 2009 I found myself homeless and broke with no vision until I got so broke that I had to change something inside to where I couldn't take it anymore. Sometimes in life you got to get beat down in order for the phoenix to rise from the ashes. You got to get burnt to ashes first.
Does it make sense? Sometimes you've got to fall down in order to see how powerful you are when you actually stand back up. And that's where I found myself in 2009 is that I was 28 years old. I hadn't gone to college. I had no job.
I got fired from the only job I could have. I was living in a van. I was married at the time. My marriage was miserable. I was in a van and a cop gave me a ticket for the last money I had in my bank account because I'd gotten fired and I had nothing left, right?
And I had to reach down inside myself and to look at myself honestly, to actually take a look at the person I was avoiding which wasn't prospects, it wasn't joining a business. The person I was avoiding was myself. It was looking at myself and saying, what have you become? Is this who you want to be, right? And sometimes we blame everybody but ourselves on our problems.
You know, I was talking to Michael Martin at this Generation Hero event this last week and actually we were sitting in a hot tub, you know, with like a bunch of the other leaders and we were chatting and there's somebody else in there and they said, you know, when something went wrong, they stopped working. And Michael Martin, he said, you know what? He's like, you got to just keep being consistent. It's actually why he calls this team consistency, I believe, is because he's like, you got to just keep being consistent because sometimes things go up and sometimes things go down. But if you're just consistent, when things go back up, you go higher up.
And when things go down, it's not so bad. He says, but if you stop producing and change your attitude because you don't understand something, he's like, all of a sudden what happens is it goes down and because you allow yourself to go down, he's like, then when it picks back up massively. You miss out on riding that wave because you're not consistent, right? And those really are great words of wisdom because that's a self-reflection, I'm going to control my own business view. It's not based on what the company is doing.
It's not based on what's going on around you. It's based on what you're personally doing. It's because he's consistent, right? And so I took a look at myself in 2009 and I looked at myself honestly and you know what? It broke my heart.
And it didn't break my heart because I thought I was like dumb or anything like that. It broke my heart because I knew who I could be. I knew I could do better than that. I knew that I was making excuses and that I was sabotaging myself. I knew that I was making up reasons for why I wasn't where I wanted to be and accepting them.
And I knew that as long as I continued to do that, I would continue to be where I'm at 10 years from then. Excuse me. My voice, I'm losing my voice. Hold on a second. I might introduce some guests here in a second.
I've been talking for three days. But I knew that as long as I was going to make excuses, right, I was going to still be in the same place. And so I stopped. I stopped making excuses. I stopped lying to myself and I changed.
And when I changed, immediately, immediately people started to follow me. Because this is something I read in, I think it's in Romans in the New Testament, but it says if the trumpet may, no, this is in, no, that's in Corinthians. It says if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will gather together for battle, right? And what that's actually talking about is it's talking about people speaking with lack of clarity, right? Who's going to follow a commander in an army who has no clarity when he commands?
Who's going to follow a leader in Empower Network if they have no clarity in their own personal vision? They're still going to follow the vision, but they're not going to follow that person because that person is actually not being a leader, right? So what did I decide to do this year? I decided this year Empower Network is going to. I decided it's going to happen.
We are going to do it in 2016 together, right? Now, if you're not a part of that, you're not going to be a part of that, right? But I will be a part of that, and I will make that happen with or without you. And when we do that, we're going to create a lot of wealth across our affiliate network. We will do it, and we will get to where we're having 7,000 and then 10,000 people at our events, and we will do it in the next 12 months, right?
And I just decided that. I decided that by myself, we are going to do it regardless of who's with me and who's not. So you know what I started doing? I started acting differently, and I started to lead like I used to lead again, but I started to do it with a different kind of an energy because I know how much bigger we can be. I also made some great discoveries about what really made us into who we are in the first place.
And I went back to those processes to make them even better than they ever were. And so that's what we did at Generation Hero, and it was a massive breakthrough for anyone, everyone. And in addition to that, we brought my brother down who does NLP and hypnosis training and really helped everybody have energy transformation. So what I want to do is, is anybody on the call actually from the leadership council? Hey, Dave, I'm on.
It's Raskin. Oh, hey, Raskin. I wanted to actually introduce you and turn it over to you. Guys, if you don't know Aaron Raskin, you're actually missing out. He has earned over a million dollars in Empower Network and actually been with us since near the very first day, I think the halfway through the first month he got in, and has just been a great friend, also a great leader, and really, really, really has been around in this industry a lot over the years.
And Aaron, I just wanted to turn it over to you, man, to give people your thoughts about the event, about Empower Network, about kind of where you were at before and then what you see now in the community in our future. And I'll just hang out in the background until you're done, man. Talk as long as you want. Yeah, I appreciate it, Dave. My voice is a little bit hoarse, too.
I've been sipping on some green tea here for the last few hours. You know, after a weekend, it's sometimes a little bit, you know, it takes a little time to recover after you put out so much energy and you share so much with so many people in a community that, you know, not the largest company in the world, you know, we're not the biggest, you know, company in the industry of home-based business, but, you know, we're the biggest group of people, and not by size, but just by, you know, not stature, but by person. And what I mean by that is that, you know, there's a lot of companies out there that, you know, sell some great products. There's a lot of, you know, health and wellness companies. There's a lot of technology companies.
There's a lot of different information marketing companies. And, you know, those companies are filled with people who sell and move the product. And unlike those companies, what Empower Network is so different for and what it's known for in the industry. And if you talk to some of the top, you know, home business experts in the world, people who have made millions and tens of millions of dollars, you know, they've all been in Empower Network at one time or another. And the difference here is that we don't, you know, just move products, but our products are what move the people.
And that's why I came to Empower Network was to, you know, tap into this incredible product line, to be around the network of people who actually build people and not just build a business. You know, it's a lot easier, it's very easy to go out and just build a business. But what we do here differently is that we build people and then the people move the product, right? But the product moves the people just as much and it's the people who build the business. But it starts with the people and that's where our focus is.
I was sitting next to Jaime Diaz and his wife, they're from Puerto Rico. And, you know, they're sitting there and they started the weekend a few thousand dollars short of reaching the $10,000 mark for the very first time in their business. And over the weekend, using a lot of the, you know, the technology and a lot, and I don't mean the technology as in pushing buttons on their computer. I'm talking about the technology that we learn about how to manifest an abundance of wealth and prosperity and how to create, right, an exciting message that goes out into the marketplace. And by using, you know, the tools and the systems that we have available, over the weekend they reach this level of gold in our compensation and our pay plan.
We saw with Michael and Paulina. They came in a few thousand dollars short of reaching their next level of income. And, you know, they came in there knowing that they were going to be in an event, right, Generation Hero is Thursday night, Friday all day, Saturday all day, Sunday all day. And without sending out an email, without sending out, you know, they didn't do any Facebook posting about the, you know, the join link. They didn't sell, they didn't try to sell the opportunity or the products while they were in the event for three and a half days.
As a matter of fact, they were very deeply entrenched into the message of transformation. And see, these are things. I was sitting with Justin Varengia the other day. And he was showing me his entire back office for his business. And he was showing me some of the ads that he's run.
And he's showing me some of the blog posts that he's done. And he's showing me some of the email broadcasts that he's done. You know, a lot of people say that success is hard work. Well, let me tell you what hard work is. I just landed in the state of Colorado where I live.
And we're supposed to get this huge blizzard over the next, you know, 24 to 36 hours. And the ground is frozen and it's freezing cold outside. And there's like hell-like snow coming down right now. I'm looking out over my backyard here. And you know what hard work is?
It's digging ditches in frozen ground. You know, what we have here is we have a computer. We have a mobile phone. We have a smartphone, right? And we sit here and we go on our computer all day.
And we sit on our smartphone all day. And we press buttons and we surf the net. And we surf the web. And we send messages. And we upload photos and videos.
Right? And if we just did that with a business model, right, inside a business model that sends a message that changes the quality of people's lives all around the world. If we would just learn the technology inside the little phone we have in our hand 20 hours a day in some cases. Right? If we would just pinpoint and focus on sharing this message of transformation and lifting people up and speaking life into people and giving them the opportunity to make better choices and different, have different options in their lives.
Right? To reduce the pressure off themselves. To take the financial strain off themselves and their families. Right? To be able to travel more.
Take vacations. Right? Pay off some debt. Pay off some bills. Breathe a little.
Right? That's what we do here at Empower Network. We're not just selling a product. We're not just selling an opportunity. We're showing people how to change the quality of their lives.
And you know, Dave, I've been in the industry for over two decades. Over 20 years actually. I was, we were laughing actually over the weekend. I was talking about how my very first company was, you know, back in 1992. I was a part of a fraternity that I started with a few of my friends who were like square pegs that didn't fit into the round holes of society.
You know, that all of our families and parents and teachers and, you know, friends, parents used to tell us, oh, you better get good grades. Go to a good college. Get a, you know, good education and go get a good job. And I kept thinking to myself, so I could do what? Be just as broken and unhappy as you are?
I looked around my life and I saw very few people happy. I saw very few people unfulfilled, you know, very fulfilled. I saw a lot of unfulfilled, you know, discontent people with their jobs and their lives. And they worked, you know, just hard enough not to get fired. They made just enough not to quit.
And they lived their lives chasing their tails, running in circles, hoping that things would change. And I knew that wasn't a life for me. I knew I was better than that. I knew I was better than that. I knew I was better than working for somebody else and living a life of their dreams.
Right? They say if you don't chase your own dreams, you're going to wind up working for somebody else's. And see, that just wasn't for me. And I knew that I could do better. And so when I found out that I could get paid not just on my own efforts, but on the efforts of other people, by building those people and teaching them what I know about how to spread a message and how to share an opportunity, a product, right?
The ability to change our lives. When I leaned into that, and when I rested into the fact that there were other people who came before me, and I trusted, I took a leap of faith. You know, they say the best way to be successful, right, is to jump first and build your wings on the way down. So you have to have what's called risk tolerance. You have to be willing to lose sight of the shore if you want to explore the new ocean.
You have to be willing to take the first step, take the first arrow. Realize that if you believe enough in yourself and what you want in your life, it's just about leading from the front with a vision and not from the back with a stick. And I've seen that for years, Dave. I've seen leadership. They would try to whip their people into place.
They would tell people they had to do a certain thing in order to be successful. And the truth is that we all have different ways of being, and when we show up in the best way for ourselves and our families and for the people around us, when we show up truly who we are, who we were meant to be, and we let go of this thing called ego and we step into our self, our true self, that's where all of our faith is, that's where all of our belief is, that's where all of our trust is, that's where all of our passion is, right? Passion just means pass it on. When you're passionate about something, you pass it on. Think about that word, right?
And so when you spread the message of transformation and when you spread the message of change and you spread the message of growth and development and you lock arms with people around you who are doing the exact same thing, when you plug in to a system like ours, right, we have a completely simplified grandma version of our entire back office system. And it's only going to get better. Dave, you know, we have talked for months and months and months about how to make this more user-friendly to experience, you know, for the user experience to be better, for it to be simpler, and you know what I find? That less is more, right? I call this the addition by subtraction method, right?
If you want a tree to grow or you want a plant to grow, prune it back. Pull the dead leaves off. Pull back all the shit that doesn't matter anymore. Peel back layer by layer to get down to the core of what we do. And over the past few months, I might have been a little bit quiet, but I've been exploding on the inside because I knew that Empower Network was here to stay, but it was also, the company that I wanted to ride off with into the future.
You know, I've been around the company for four years. I've seen dozens and dozens of startup companies where people who lost sight of their own vision would get distracted, and they would just go on to, they would jump onto another horse and start kicking it. And they might ride off a little bit, but it wasn't Empower Network. And you know what happened? They wound up right back to where they started here in this company.
We've had some of the biggest success stories in the industry leave and come back because they would go out there. It's almost like, you know, before you get married, sometimes people do this. They go off and they say, well, let's make sure that we're really meant for each other. And they go off and they test the waters and they date and they see other people and they experience other relationships, and they realize that they had the best thing that they will ever have where they first started. And that's what happens with Empower Network.
People keep coming back. And new people keep joining. The best thing about the opportunity here is that the biggest affiliates haven't even gotten started yet. The biggest affiliates don't even know about Empower Network yet. They don't know about David Wood.
They don't know about the Leadership Council. They don't know about this company, this product line, and this future. They don't even know we exist yet. You see, there's 50 million home business professionals in the United States alone and 90 million worldwide. And we're at the very top of the first inning if this were a baseball game.
We haven't even scratched the scratch of the scratch of the surface yet for what's possible here inside this opportunity. And see, the great thing about Empower Network is that we're not just limited to home-based business. We're not limited to the direct selling industry, right? We are a company that's changing the lives of people no matter where they come from. We see it every single day.
We hear it every single day. We have people that come from all walks of life, different backgrounds, different demographics, different income levels, different languages. A lot of our top earners don't even speak English. And that's a company, you know, we're a company that was, you know, formed in the United States. But see, when you don't speak the language of, you know, when you don't speak the English language, it doesn't matter because you can still get the message.
And the message is that we care about our people. We put our people first. That's why Dave decided to give away all the money when we first launched. Have you ever heard of a company that launched that actually gave away 100% of the earned income and out of his own pocket, he funded the company because of his love for people? Have you ever met a company or met a company owner that was willing to do that for the people?
That's why I'm here. And that's why I'll still be here when some of these people leave because of the heart of David Wood. And we've spent hours and hours and hours and hours over the past several months working together on a daily basis, working together, texting each other, Skyping each other, hanging out on Google Hangouts, and messaging each other. We would do voice messages, sometimes 3, 4, 5 o'clock in the morning, I would get an idea and I would pop up out of bed and I would get on my phone or my computer and I would tell Dave, hey Dave, I had this idea. I have an idea to make it better for people.
I had this vision that we could implement something new, a new strategy, a better way to do something that's working now but could be made better for the future so we could bring more people into the opportunity, so we could spread the message to more people, and we could have more people live the life of their dreams. Because if you have a job that you can't stand, or you're angry at your income, or your relationship sucks, and not even a relationship with other people but the relationship that you have with yourself, these are things you want to change. You got to change the things that you're doing right now. You got to change the people you hang around. You got to change the people you listen to, that you pay attention to.
And start plugging in and paying attention to the people who are already making those changes, who live the life of their dreams, who know the formula for success, who have the mindset for freedom. We were talking the other night about my team call. We used to call it the freedom formula call. But we have a formula for freedom, and it all starts with you. And it starts with you making a choice.
Not a decision, but a choice, a choice to move in the direction that you want to go. See, a decision is based on things that you don't want. But if you talk about the things you don't like all the time, I don't like my job, I don't like my income, I don't like my commute, that's called a decision. When you cut those things out of your life, it's called a decision. But see, when you move towards pleasure, that's called making a powerful choice for the things that you want.
So choose the life of freedom. Choose a life of peacefulness. Choose to be around people who are going to lift you up. We're going to speak life into you and encourage you to get to the next level in your own success. Dave, that's why I'm here, that's why I stay, I know that's why you're here, I know that's why your vision just gets more and more clear every time we get together, whether it's a phone call like this, it's a hangout.
It's a live event, it's a national conference, or an international convention, right? We're going to start traveling. We're going to start traveling and taking this message around the world in different locations and we're looking for people who have the vision to see what's possible, not just for themselves in their own lives, but for millions of other people who are looking for leadership, for people that care enough about them to lift them up and raise them up and speak life into them. I'm telling you, Dave, I'm super excited, I'm so glad I went to Miami. I almost didn't make it, but I showed up because that's the first step in success is just showing up.
And because I showed up, I generated a couple thousand dollars last night without picking up the phone, prospecting, and doing a three-way call. Not to say that we shouldn't do those things, but you don't have to if you don't want to. You can build this business on the internet using the technology and automation and all the systems that we have in place, and when you plug in and you pay attention and you work with the leaders and you lock arms, there's no reason why anybody listening to the sound of my voice couldn't reach whatever level of success they came here for. So, Dave, I'm going to step down and I'm going to go get another cup of tea here because I'm losing my voice. I know we do have some other special guests on the line, so I'm going to turn it back over to you, man, and let you know.
Yeah, thanks, Aaron. I appreciate you, man, and I love working with you, too, so the feeling's mutual. And I'm just looking forward to building the future that we both want and all of us want. And that's what I want everybody here to understand is that we all work together and that we're all in this together. In fact, if you were actually on the Generation Hero event, all of you know we basically planned the direction and future and Power Network is going as a community and treated everybody there like their opinion matters by actually implementing their thoughts and feedback.
And because of that, I believe we filmed some sales material there that will do $100 million in sales. And so, Aaron, thanks for coming on. I appreciate you and I'll be here for you. I'm actually looking forward to heading out to Portugal with you here in a couple of months. That's going to be a lot of fun.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that, Dave. I'm super excited to go back for my third time. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. So now we've got, I want to introduce you to a million-dollar couple, Alex and Ana Zubarev. I believe they're online.
And it's really been a lot of fun working with them over the last handful of years and seeing them walk through a transformation in their business and step into the leadership that they've been able to step into. But what I'm most excited about is where they're headed in the future. And so, if you're actually on the page right now, you might be dialed in, but you might actually be on the page, there's a ticket to get your tickets to our next event. It's actually going to be in Nashville, Tennessee. The dates are actually on the page.
I would encourage you to lock in your tickets because we are going to increase the price here shortly. And so, I just wanted to make everybody here aware of that. Alex and Ana, I'll turn it over to you guys, whoever wants to speak first and speak first and then hand it over to the other one. So, I just want to tell you how much I love you and I appreciate you. Hey, David, can you hear me?
Yeah, absolutely. Awesome, awesome, man. We actually just landed like an hour ago. I mean, we just got home like an hour ago from the airport. Running on Zoom, dude, really, after the event, it was amazing, you know, kind of like exhausted because we're all like, you know, like, I don't know, like four or five hours every night.
And we had so many people transformed to this around the energy was awesome. I mean, like people, just like Ana said, and you said, you know, it feels like, it feels like, like 2011 when this new movement, you know, just launched and everybody is not excited, everybody is like, whoa, what is this? You know, so I'm excited, man, excited, and Ana as well, and she will say a couple of words for the community as well, that's the message. Hey, everyone, Ana is here, and of course, David, Aaron Rashkin, and again, how do we, how do you match up to what Aaron said, this event, this mastermind, this event was absolutely one of my favorite events, and comparing to the mastermind environment events, where this was so uniquely put together. This was in such a private way done, and everything was so organized to the T.
People were gathered, people were engaged, people came in and the comments on the live stream, just to see and to know, especially the very last night, how many of you tuned in to the live stream, and it was over a thousand people, I believe, were still going strong over midnight. I mean, it was incredible. I mean, just to, I mean, it's hard to relate the experience I'm going through right now, but all I'm going to say, and add to what Alex said it, and what Aaron said it, and what you, Dave, said, I personally experienced a few breakthroughs myself on a personal level, on a business level, meaning on a professional level, and I've seen others, I've seen quite a few people went through a tremendous amount of transformation on a personal level. I mean, but you bring in William Wood, in my opinion, was one of the best decisions they could have done. I saw a tremendous amount of value he brought into our community, and will be bringing going forward, so I am truly excited for the future continuation of the success of this company.
There is no other way to, there is no, for me personally, I mean, I don't see me anywhere else but Empower Network, and it's impossible for me to see myself anywhere else. This is where my heart is, and that's what matters the most to me. So I'm not going to wait, I'm not going to continue going with this, because I know we have other people, so I'm going to pass the mic back to you, Dave. Awesome, well, I just appreciate you guys, and my heart's here for you too, and thanks for coming out on tonight's call, and what I'm really looking forward to, actually, is going and packing out this next event, just because I know how to build for events when the energy is right, and when the community is right, and I just know this next event will be the biggest event that we've had for at least the last two years, and so it's going to be a lot of fun, and those of you who are on the page, again, the ticket price is going to increase, I would lock in your tickets now, we already have 600 people who have registered, and we literally have people buying event tickets every couple of hours right now, so it's going to be a lot of fun. I am here.
Oh, I just want to tell you, I appreciate you, brother, so if you could just give your feelings on the event, where we're headed, why people should buy their tickets to the Unleash event in Nashville, and all yours, man, talk as long as you'd like. All right, cool, well, I'm excited to be here, and I really appreciate you, Dave, and everything that you, you know, really brought to my life, and the community of Empower Network, and I don't know, just like when you were talking about when we first met, I kind of get emotional about it, because it's like, who would have thought, you know, if I wouldn't have made that decision to get to that event, like, because there was, I literally was broke. Hey, I'm here for you too, man, and I just appreciate you big time, you know, I remember meeting you for the very first time, and I didn't know your story, you know, and I didn't know how much you were struggling, and how much you and your family were struggling, and that's the thing, guys, is that you never really know where somebody's at, especially if they don't tell you the whole story, and you never know how deep the transformations will go that you get to play a part in, if you're just doing the right things, and that's what I really, really, really, really want to encourage all of you to do, is do the right things in your business, right, to really treat this like a business, to really take the things that we say are important, and to make them important, and it's not because we're trying to make important for you what's important to us, it's because what's important to you is important to us, and what I mean by that is that those things that we teach you to do, they're important to the success of your business, and if you don't do them, you're either not going to succeed, or you're not going to keep the success, one of the two. See, we talk all the time, and when you get started in Empower, we have a fast start training that goes over these, the eight core commitments in Empower, and how important they are. In fact, I just spent time recreating our entire sales process with the community, brainstorming this, and everyone in the leadership agrees the most important thing that we've got is those eight core commitments, and the reason is, is because half of them are integral to building as a community in a way that's going to increase everybody's income, everyone's, from the new person all the way to the top, and the other half are there to keep the community around, and that's the thing I think a lot of people don't understand, is that everyone needs inspiration and transformation, even the leaders at the top, even me, right?
And I shouldn't say even me, I should say me too, because I'm no different than anyone. Guys, if you get to the top, you need motivation just like somebody's at the bottom, and if you're at the bottom, see, sometimes the people come in, and it's just because they don't know and they don't really understand why we're doing what we're doing yet, because they've never done anything like this, and they say, oh, I don't need those events, I don't need that, just give me the tactics, right? Even if you were just on the live stream, you missed, the people on the live stream didn't miss out because that's where they're at in their business, but the people that didn't even get the live stream and watch the event, they did miss out, they missed the transformation that they would have had, had they been here, had they been there with us. Events are important. And so, you know, you hear Mike Hobbs, you hear it in his voice, I mean, he's getting emotional.
The reason he is, is because the fact that he made that event happen for himself, it changed his business and it got him back on track to his goals, his dreams, it got him back aligned with his visions and his goals and his dreams. This is somebody that's made near a million dollars, you know, and you can hear it in all the leaders' voices. So if it transforms the leaders, what does it do for the people that are new? You know, at the event, you know, there's a guy there who's building the Latino community, Jamie, and he just hit, you know, he hit platinum, or he hit gold, excuse me, at the event. But you know, we were asking about, you know, how are people having their transformations?
And all he did was he followed one of the eight core commitments, which is listen to inner circle audio every day. And he took an audio in the inner circle that everybody's really familiar with, it's called speak the world into existence. And so a lot of times we say something and we tell people to do something, and if they do it, it will transform them, but they don't do it, and because they don't do it, they don't experience that transformation. And in asking the question, what's the secret, what do I need to do, they're ignoring what We tell them to you that actually is the secret. And there's an old saying that says you can't shortcut the shortcut, right?
We have put the shortcut together for you. In fact, the name of our front-end video is the shortcut, right? We, it's the total shortcut funnel, right? And then we actually give you a steps that are the shortcut if you follow them all, right? Some of you, we told you there's a fast start training and you haven't actually gone through it.
You got started and you haven't gone through it. And if you're not willing to follow the steps, are you really willing to do this? And it's not about whether you want to do this. It's do you want to accomplish your outcomes and goals, right? Do you want to step into your vision?
Are you really willing to do what it takes in order to have a life that you want to have, right? Mike Homs was in the military and he freed himself from this business, right? I freed myself from poverty through this business, right? Alex and Anna freed themselves from corporate America through this business. And they did it by following the steps.
I want you to know that if you, if you're willing to follow the steps, we're willing to follow them with you and to get you on the right path toward your dreams and outcomes. The next person I want to introduce you to is just a really great friend of mine. And I really just love, love this guy, love, love him and his wife and his, his baby, Quan Yin. And, and I've just seen him go through an incredible transformation over the years. And so, Justin Berenger, are you on?
I am here. How's it going, Dave? Oh, it's going great, man. I've been sleeping all day and woke up right before the call. So, I'm here and, and I'm just excited, dude, just excited.
Awesome. I just send my love to you, Dave. And of course, Aaron Raskin, Mike Hobbs and all the leadership and all our affiliates and all our team. I actually just put my daughter to sleep and I, you know, I fell asleep and then my wife's looking up and she's like, you're going to be out next. So, I popped up, just did some push-ups, just did a little Tai Chi, did a little Qi Gong and I'm just feeling really good.
I spent like a million bucks this past weekend, or I guess Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, four-day extravaganza has been a huge transformation for me as you can hear from the voice of the other leaders, you know what I mean? Just connecting with incredible people, or as we say, people with vision, people with an internal flame that is just igniting and lighting up the night sky, like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star that I sing as I look into my daughter's eyes. You know, that's actually her favorite nursery rhyme and I think it's my favorite, too. You know what I mean? Because I believe we have this light and, you know, one of the things I was reminded of this week, there's a light inside of all of us and just by lighting that flame, you know what I mean?
It's going to ignite the flame and the passion and the dreams inside of other, you know, aspiring entrepreneurs and just ordinary people looking for a better way, looking for a way maybe to step outside the matrix, looking for a way to create financial stability so they don't have to be dependent upon a government, you know what I mean? Because we all know you can only be dependent upon yourself. I think the future on this planet is entrepreneurs. I truly believe that, you know what I mean? There's a better way, you know, than the slavery lifestyle that most of us are unhappy with.
I mean, if you're happy with the way your life is, then you've found your joy. Maybe you've found your purpose already, but I know if you're like me, back in 2010, I remember living in China actually for 13 months and there were pros and cons to living in China, but one of the pros was I didn't want to move back with my parents because we were at a rough patch in our lives, you know, but one of the cons was like we lived in Taiyuan in Shanxi province, which is one of the most heavily polluted cities and we did that because they didn't have many American teachers from actually like United States or Canada or the United Kingdom who were willing to live there. They'd go to like the nicer cities like Shanghai or Hong Kong or maybe even Beijing where there's more international folks, but we were like amongst like the only foreigners there and things were like weird and a little backwards at the same time. One of my passions, being one of those weird entrepreneurs, was always looking up at the night skies and looking at the stars, you know, just dreaming and envisioning and, you know, I always thought change for the planet, but I remember living in China, you can't see any stars, let alone barely see the moon because it's, you know, such smog in the sky. I don't know if you've ever witnessed that, you know what I mean, but I remember walking outside with like a white shirt and go for a jog or something or go do some like Tai Chi in the park and then I'd come home and like especially when I drove the e-bike and my white shirt would be like a tintish gray, heavy pollution, right, and I remember another pro was they gave us a place to stay, but little did we know it was below American standards by far.
We had no heat and it was absolutely freezing. It would actually snow where we lived. We had to buy those portable heaters in like the Walmart of like China. I don't even recall what the name was, you know what I mean. I remember working my tail off.
I remember working two jobs. They spoke my language way better which, you know, but I was still able to like grow and do all this cool stuff, but I share that story to say, you know what I mean, I came back after living there for 13 months. I was able to save up enough money to move to Costa Rica which I was able to move back to because at one point in my life I lived in Costa Rica and then I lost like the money that I had because, you know, businesses that I was working for earning commissions from go out of business, so I had to move to China, saved up enough money in China and then finally moved back to Costa Rica. At the time I was living in a 300 square foot studio apartment in Guanacaste Province which is the most northern province of Costa Rica because it was very convenient to make like a visa run every 90 days, you got to like cross the border. You need to go to Nicaragua, they stamp your passport, you pay them some money and then you turn back around, but nonetheless I was living in a 300 square foot studio apartment because that's where I was at in my life.
Now the pros, I lived across the street from the beach and it's an exotic country that was my dream country place of living and at the time they would still live there because it is like a paradise, we say Pura Vida, pure life, right? But that's at the time I joined in Power Network, I was looking for a better way. I was struggling, I was in the industry, I've had my ups and downs, I didn't even get into the story before I got into network marketing. I did real estate and I ended up making money in my business but I ended up 500K in debt, that was the time of the real estate crash. So I know what it feels like to not only be broke but to lose it all and to owe, you know, crazy sum of money that you can never pay back with a normal job, I'd be a slave, you know what I mean, for the rest of my life.
But I decided to do something different because I had a dream and I had a vision so I had to reach deep down inside myself and stretch outside the box and do something I wasn't normally willing to do which is let go of my ego, right? I attend, this is at the time I attended an event in Atlanta, Georgia, June of 2012 and I witnessed something, I witnessed the community of leaders who truly cared, you know what I mean, they cared in helping others and uplifting others and speaking life into others, this is the time I saw Aaron Rashkin and David Wood and Tracy Walker and Lawrence Pan, I saw Alex and Anna, you know what I mean, I met all these incredible leaders and I said, if they can have success and they believe in us, I'm willing to let go of my ego and just do what they tell me to do. So I started following these eight core commitments, you may have heard of them, right? And one of those core commitments is attend every event and since I joined in Tower Network in November 8, 2011 and go figure, 8 and 11, I'm very strongly connected with and I joined on 11-8, 11, how crazy is that, right? So since that time, I've never missed an event, my wife has never missed an event and our income just has been like going crazy.
I know like we've had our lows as well going through things in the past because we're only human. So but anyways, our income was going down and for the last seven months, I'm proud to say our income has been on the rise, seven months straight and I can owe it to this community and plugging into the events and actually following the eight core commitments, that's the secret to my success. As long as I attend an event, I get recharged every 90 days because I'm a human being, I usually leave an event very motivated, very excited but usually typically around 60 days out, I start to like doubt myself again because I am a human being. I still work on personal development, I still meditate, I still do Tai Chi, I still like do all this cool stuff but I'm a human being, you know what I mean? If I don't recharge my heart, my spirit and my soul just like you got to like recharge a battery when it's dead or update your program or your hardware or your software to an application or a computer, it's like the human body needs to be inspired the same way.
So that's why the events are just so important and being around Will and Dave, it's like the power duo, it's just like the most powerful combination because they both understand NLP and Will's a master practitioner and teacher in NLP which is basically communication with the unconscious mind. And the more I got around successful people, the more I realized how important it is to reprogram your unconscious mind so that you can be in a state of flow where you can achieve success effortlessly, right? Being at the right place at the right time. Dropping the ego and just doing what feels right. I'm just very intuitive and sometimes I just do what feels right, you know what I mean?
So that's what happens since the time I've been going to events and I'll never miss an event because it's always the right place to be at the right time and I'm also going to say that if you ever have the opportunity to get around successful people who are living the lifestyle that you want, you know what I mean? Who are impacting people deep or spiritually on a level that you want, get around them and if you're lucky to get around them, that is the shortcut to success if there truly is a shortcut to success which I do believe that is the shortcut. But I don't know if you want me to share anything else, Dave, but I'm just super pumped up. This week has been super transformational. The love and I know everyone who watched the live stream is just blown away and wishing they were there and I can't wait until Nashville and if you have the opportunity to get a ticket to go to Nashville, I would highly recommend doing that because I know the next event is going to be off the chain because I can only imagine where we're going to be 90 days from now.
Absolutely, Justin and I'm just happy to have you on, man, and just love you and same thing with everybody who's been on this call tonight, I just want to let you all know how important you are to me and how much I appreciate you because you really are the reason, you know, why I started in hours for breakthroughs like this and, you know, you hear Justin and you hear him talk and, you know, one thing that you're always going to go through, I want everybody to understand this here on call, you're always going to go through ups and downs in your business. If you have a major up, you're going to have some sort of a down and that's just part of growing, it's just part of life. It's no different than lifting weights, your muscles will get bigger, then shrink a little, then get even bigger than they were before if you keep lifting, right? And same thing with any kind of a business. All you need to do is look at a graph for a business that's been going up for 10 years straight in the stock market, you'll notice that along that 10-year period, they also went up and down that entire time period.
And sometimes what happens with people is people forget that and they think they're unique and so when they go down, they get discouraged and they don't realize that it's a part of their natural growth cycle and that they just need to be consistent and if they continue to do that, they're going to have a bigger breakthrough by just continuing on the path and continuing to make themselves better. And so, what I want to talk about just for a few minutes is how to make yourself better and how to make your business better to make sure that it continues to be better because if you think like this and you act like this, what's going to happen is your income will go up over a period of time because you realize that it's what you're doing that matters and how you're thinking that matters, not what's going on around you. And if you learn to focus and you learn to focus on your goals, your dreams and your outcomes, what my opinion is and what my experience is that this is the best thing that you could be doing financially in the world and there's a reason for that. It's not because other people aren't going to make lots of money. There's going to be lots of people around making lots of money in all sorts of industries for the rest of our lives.
There's also going to be people that are going to be poor in the world in all sorts of industries for the rest of our lives. It's not about that. It's about the life that you can create and the return that you can get from the work that you do. When you build a team and when you really learn the power in it, guys, when you really learn the science of team building, the science of how to build an organization, it really is just one of the most powerful things in the world because you're creating leverage at all points that can create wealth. You're leveraging other people's efforts.
You're leveraging other people's time. You're leveraging other people's skill sets and you're leveraging other people's money to create wealth without having to invest a lot of your own personal cash flow. And so if you think about an organization like that, think about it like this. This is what was taught to me years ago. It's like if you work a job, if you, you know, regardless of whether it is, whether it's Walmart, whether you're a lawyer, whether you're a doctor, they're just higher paid jobs.
They're being self-employed and you're working for yourself or you're working for somebody else. Your income is intricately tied, intimately tied, excuse me, to the amount of hour, the amount of hour output you can have, which is limited to a certain amount of hours and can be awake and working in the day, right? And so in this industry, it's a little bit different. In Power Network, it's a little bit different. If you think about it like a team, if you have a team of 200 people and they're all putting in 10 hours a week, right, that doesn't seem like a lot, but all that, what's really going towards your business and let's say you're putting in 20 hours a week, what really is going into your business is you have with 20 people putting in 10 hours a week, right, you'd have 200 hours going towards your income.
If you have 200 people, that'd be 2,000 hours a week of other people's effort going towards your income. And if you could learn to make what you're doing and what your team's doing more efficient and more productive, you can create massive, massive production, massive income and massive duplication. And you say, well, what's the key to doing that and what's the key to learning that and how can I increase my income and lower the amount of time output that I have in my business? The real secret to that, guys, I'm going to tell you, and you might want to go look and try to find it in some other place and learn what that would say. The real secret in that is in a couple of things, the top producer formula, the team builder formula and the mass influence formula, those products, right.
And sometimes people, they get wigged out because they get involved in this business and they don't realize how valuable the information in those products are or they don't realize what's really in them and what we really do and what we really sell and who we're really selling it to because they got excited about the opportunity. They got in for the opportunity and they kind of bought the products because they wanted to buy them so they could kind of, you know, sell them, right. And the reality is that they haven't really gone through them and appreciated what's in there and so they're looking all over the place for strategies that the best place in the world they could possibly learn them is if they just went into those products and actually watched the modules. The team building formula by itself, I'll tell you guys, those are the strategies that I've used to build the team in a power network. It's right there in that product.
Now, you also need some other information. You need to learn how to produce, right, but that's in the top producer formula. Hopefully, you have that. But if you were literally just take those strategies and apply them in your business and plug into our systems, you're going to reduce the amount of hours you put into your business, you're going to increase the income that you generate from your own personal activity, and you're also going to increase the amount of income that you're generating from the activity of your team that are plugged into you because they're going to be doing what you're doing and refining their business using the same strategies and principles. And rather than sitting there and having to teach them everything, you can actually just refer them back to the products and have them learn the strategies there.
A lot of people here, for example, in a power network, I've seen this again and again, you know, when people get involved in, you know, they hear, you know, they watch maybe the eight core commitments videos when they first get started and hopefully everybody here has seen those. But they watch those videos and they say, oh, okay, I need to market and, you know, invest in traffic for my business, which is a principle of business building, right? And so, what they do is they just look for some random sort of clicks online or they look for somebody who's selling solo ads, never learning the strategies on how to do it. And then they go waste their money on traffic very similarly to how people waste money on lottery tickets. They're gambling on their future.
They're hoping that they're going to send some sort of email blast out and the clicks are just going to generate a sale that's going to turn into a leader like Aaron Rashkin or the clicks are just going to automatically pay off without actually learning anything. And because they act like that, because they're treating it like a lottery because they're depending on something outside their own personal skill set to expand their business in their future. And they don't really understand how any of it works. They end up wasting their money, wasting their time, wasting their energy. And then rather than looking at themselves and blaming their own actions for the reason they're not getting the results that they want, they blame the thing.
But the thing actually tells them that if they want to learn how to do traffic, then they've got to buy the team building formula and go through the bonus modules that Michael Martin and Alex Zubar have put together on paid traffic, follow those strategies to the T. And if they do that, they can actually learn the skill of how to convert the paid traffic because converting paid traffic is not guesswork. It's not a lottery. It's not gambling. It's actually a skill and dependent on your hard work, right?
So I want to encourage you guys to do on this call is to focus. Everything that you need to do to build a business exists here in Empower Network. You know, I had a couple of breakthroughs just listening to leaders here this last weekend. You know, because we were sitting around brainstorming together the strategies in the future of Empower Network. We were explaining our business model to people and how it works.
Also how to sell our products and who our products are there to serve and why they exist in the way that they do. We refilmed all of our sales material. They got to actually see how I plan out sales material, participate in the process, and see that I really do it exactly how I say I do it to the T and that I'm not hiding anything. And I think that was actually a breakthrough for a lot of people that were watching the live stream is that they saw me plan sales material, execute it live in one go and never have to repeat a single sales presentation, even one time other than the original time I made it. Every single time I made it, I made it once.
I only had to do it one time and it worked perfectly the very first time that I did it, just following the process that I actually teach in the top producer formula. And so sometimes people, they discount that product and they don't actually go through that. That product, guys, contains the formula that I've used to put together every single sales presentation that we've used in Empower Network that has collectively done, collectively, $185 million in sales. And sometimes people are struggling to make one sale, and they discount that formula looking for some sort of magical secret when there's nobody online that's done that much sales through video, only me, right? And I've done that, of course, because of the team working together to produce those sales, but it's those videos that have actually, they've helped with those conversions on the sales, and they follow that formula that's actually in the top producer formula.
I think when people saw me do that, they had a major breakthrough, right? But sometimes, guys, what you do is you're looking for something outside yourself, you're looking for something in another place to compensate for the fact that you don't really wanna look in the mirror. And that's where I was in 2009, guys. It was really uncomfortable, you know what I mean? Well, in 2009, I remember, it was so uncomfortable, right, that I always avoided doing it.
I always avoided looking at myself and saying, I am the reason for my success and failure, right? Because, I mean, think about it like this. If God's gonna bless everybody kind of equally, depending on, you know, and the marketplace behaves in a certain way, and you're in a company, you know what I mean, and they sell certain products, and certain people are succeeding and certain people aren't, there's not really any favoritism there. What you're doing is what's determining where you're at. And that's a fundamental principle of prosperity.
You gotta take responsibility for the results that you're creating, and if you're not creating the results that you wanna create, right, well, we can help you if you're willing to help yourself. If you're not willing to help yourself, right, then we can't really help you no matter even if we want to help you or not. We literally can't. And so a lot of times, people will get involved in your organization, and, you know, they'll ask me, okay, what do I do? And I say, well, number one, log in.
Have you watched the Welcome video? They'll say, yeah, and I'll say, okay. Have you watched the Fast Start training? And they'll say, no, I haven't done that yet. I'll say, well, then you need to watch the Fast Start training, and they download the core checklist, re-upload it back to the site, and agree that you'll do that stuff, and then afterwards, go ahead and give me a call back, or afterwards, hit me back on Facebook, right?
And some people do it and some people don't, but the reality is that the people who don't do it, right, guess what happens? They want me to help them even though they're not willing to do what I tell them to do, right? And I want you to ask yourself, does that make any sense? Right? No, it doesn't, and it's not that it doesn't make sense because, you know, like, it's not like I don't like people, it's not like I don't want it to work for them.
It's that if they can't help themselves, if they're not willing to listen and follow instructions, how could it help if I tell them additional things? Because they don't even know the background information that's in the common education of everybody that gets started in Empower Network, so how could I tell them something additional that's gonna work in some sort of magical way? I actually can't help them if they're not willing to follow the steps, if they're not willing to follow instructions. If I get on with somebody and, you know, they haven't gotten an event ticket, you know what I mean, how can I possibly help them if they're not willing to follow the eight core steps? One of the core steps is you must go to all of the events, and there's a reason why that's in there.
It's not in there because I'm trying to make people do something where I'm gonna make a massive amount of money from this or something like that. It's there because I've never met somebody in this industry ever, not one time, that's built a big organization without going to all of the events and promoting the events to their team. When we say, you gotta be on the Monday calls, and sometimes people say, well, you know, I can't, I'll do everything but that, and it's like, look, this is what we do, you know what I mean? These are the steps that we follow in order to get the results that we're getting in this community, and if you're not willing to follow them, maybe you should do something else. And it's not because, again, it's not because we don't like someone, it's because if they can't help themselves, if they're not willing to follow instructions, how can we then turn around and give them more instructions to help them have a personal breakthrough if they're not willing to do the simple things?
Even simple things like personal development being important, you know? The biggest decision that I ever made in my own life was in 2002 when I got exposed to this industry. I decided that I was gonna be engaged in personal development, listening to audios and reading every single day, and I take that seriously. I don't treat this like it's a hobby. I treat personal development like if I don't do it, I'm gonna die or something, right?
Because a part of me will, you know? If you stop using your brain, your brain just starts to regress, it starts to die, right? It's no different than using your muscles. If you stop, if you're lifting weights and you stop, your muscles go back in time, right? If you stop using your mind, it doesn't just as quickly.
You need to use your mind to continue to learn, and I treat personal development like it's an urgent thing, like it's important that if I don't do it, my business is gonna start falling apart because the truth is it will. If my mind starts falling apart because I'm not exercising it, right, my business will follow it, right? And sometimes people look at that stuff and they write it off but remember something, everybody on the call, is that your success is not built in a day, it's built by what you do daily, right? And daily you need to be expanding your mind, daily you need to be reading the books, daily you need to be blogging, daily you need to be exercising your skill in marketing because exercising your marketing skill is the same thing. Imagine if you get really good at marketing today and then you stop learning about it and then you stop exercising your skill and then you stop improving what you're doing.
What's gonna happen is in a year or two years, all the things that you know, they're gonna be things of the past and you're not gonna be effective in the marketplace anymore and you'll wonder what happened but what has happened is you become antiquated just like old technology because you didn't continue to expand your skill set, you didn't continue every day on a daily basis to get educated in your profession. For doctors they require them to have a certain amount of ongoing education every year and the reason they do is because they learn new things about medicine, you know what I mean? Every year new things are discovered about the brain, about the body, about how medicine works and sometimes they discover things like old, you know, prescription medication doesn't actually do what people thought that it did and it actually damages people. If doctors don't continue to educate themselves, they can actually harm people by not participating in ongoing education so it's actually sort of they have to do it, you know what I mean? They don't have a choice.
Well we can't force people to do anything in this industry but the same thing is true. If you don't continue to educate yourself, you will just automatically start going backwards. If you don't continue to attend the events, your business is not gonna be able to go forward. Imagine if Mike Hobbs, for example, didn't go to this event. He went to hit platinum this month, right?
And because he hit platinum this month, right, or in January, excuse me, he's gonna hit diamond in February. I know he'll do it, right? Because he's got the skills now, we created the marketing material to help him, he understands the model, his team understands it. Because he attended and promoted the event, he was able to hit the platinum rank, right? You know, Aaron Raskin mentioned earlier on this call because he attended the event and made a few thousand dollars in a day at the end of the month that he wouldn't have made if he didn't actually go to the event, right?
See our income disclosure, right? That's Justin, obviously not you. You could do that too over a period of time by learning the skills, but the fact is, is he takes event attendance seriously and as a result of that, he made three times the last day of the event what the average American income is over the course of 30 days for a full family. And I want you to think about that for a second. That is not by accident.
That is because he's been exercising his mind and exercising his body and his skill and his marketing skill, his personal development. He treats his personal development not like it's some sort of, you know, subsidiary thing in his life. He treats it like it is a part of his business, a part of his life, a part of his profession, and a part of what he does. It's like the ongoing education that's required by a doctor in order to continue being a doctor in the United States, right? Does that make sense to everybody on the call?
So the basic things that we tell people are actually the things that control the results that they're going to get in the future. It's not some sort of mysterious key, right? Because I can give you guys things that work unbelievably well. But you know what I've learned a long time ago? I learned that it's a lot easier to steer a ship that's moving.
If you take a giant cruise ship with an unbelievably powerful motor and you put it at sea and anchor it to the ground, you can move the rudder in every direction that you want and it doesn't move the ship. A rudder will only move a ship that's actually moving in the ocean, right? Same principle, a dog doesn't bark at a parked car. A car has to be moving in order for the steering wheel to do anything but move the wheels, right? If you move the wheels as fast as you want but the car's parked in a parking lot, the wheels are just gonna move around and rub raw the bottom of your wheels.
It's not actually going to change the direction of the car. The car has to be moving to do that. And coaching people is like that. Mentoring people is like that. You can't steer a car that's not moving.
You can't move a ship in a new direction that's anchored to the ground and sea. You have to be able to work with somebody who's taking some action, even if the actions are wrong. See, here's the thing. It's easier to correct somebody's actions who are incorrect and to put them on the right path than it is to get somebody started in the habit of taking action who's used to taking absolutely no action in their life. They just kinda gotta get off their ass, start taking action, and then we can point them in the right direction.
And so if you're listening to everybody on this call, they're just doing the basic things, that's the thing. When somebody like Justin or Aaron or Ashton or Mike Hopps or Tracy Walker or Justin, I think I said Justin twice, or Alex and Anna, when they talk, it's like there's a book talking. You know what I mean? You ever notice that? It's like you're listening to somebody who's reading a book out loud because there's quotes everywhere, they have metaphors everywhere.
And why do they sound like that? It's because they read every day. If you don't feed your mind, you have nothing to talk about that's of any significance. And if you can't talk about anything significant, people don't really wanna listen to you. And if people don't really wanna listen to you, you can't really be a leader.
And if you can't be a leader, you're not gonna build a big business like this, right? And so those things are actually required for leadership. The simple things are the things that matter the most. The basics are the things that matter the most. The eight core commitments are the things that matter the most.
And one of them is attending these calls to screen edge locations on being here and listening to it. Or if you're listening to it in the inner circle, that's also one of the eight core commitments. So congratulations on following through on that. And maybe you'll actually be on the next Monday night call. One of those things, though, is being at every event.
And that's partly attitude, partly action. See, what I've learned is that leaders do things immediately and then they build for the next event. They don't just go there themselves. Whereas followers and people that aren't succeeding quite yet, but maybe will in the future, they might attend the event this time and just kind of go themselves and see what it's all about. But what you need to do is the former, not the latter, if you really wanna get to the next level.
You know, I had a breakthrough listening to Lauren's cam because he won our event competition. And so I was like, all right, how did you do that? Because I always am curious as to how people do things. And so, you know, he won $5,000. It was a cash prize.
We gave it to him on the live stream for getting the most people to watch the live stream. And he said, it was really simple. Okay, I want you to listen to this. Listen to what he said in response to this. Now, I'm not gonna quote him exactly.
And he's actually on a plane or I'd have him tell his own story. But this is actually what he said. He said, well, I decided that every day I was gonna get on the phone with one of my team members and close them into buying an event ticket, once a day. And he said, that's all I did. From the time the contest launched, once a day I got on the phone with one team member and I closed them to buying an event ticket.
And everybody in the room who had teams, like they had this light come on in their eyes because you know what? Everyone could have done that. It's not something that was actually complicated. There was no mysterious thing. I thought he was gonna say, I put together this promo, I offered people the bonus, but he offered people no bonuses.
He just got on the phone, he connected with his team, he made sure they were registered for the event, one person a day. One a day, and he won $5,000 for our event contest. Now we had other people, you know, for example, Michael Martin, he came in second place, and that was hard too, right? And he did it in bursts. He brought a bunch of people in bursts, but Lawrence just every single day had one new person register for the event, right?
Now anybody in the Empower Network could do something like that who knows how to produce. If you know how to bring in a couple people a day, you could get one person to attend the event a day that happens in Nashville. If all of the communities did what Lawrence did, we would go to Nashville with 10,000 people. I'm not joking, right? But I know not everybody's going to do that this time, and that's fine, but some of the leaders will do it, right?
Think about that, between now and Nashville, you could have 90 people attend the event with you just by following the strategies that Lawrence used to promote the livestream. Now what was the other effect of that? And listen to this, it's not just about, it's not just about getting people to the event, it's also about how the events change people, and then how that changes their financial results and the decisions that they make. Why? See, success is not complicated, it's actually quite simple, but it's not about whether or not you know a secret, it's about whether you apply the secrets you know, because there's this old metaphor where he who has will be given more, and from him who doesn't have, it'll be taken away that which he has.
You know, what that really is talking about, and this is my thoughts, right, is it's talking about people who educate themselves, and people who are willing to take action on the things that they know tend to be given more knowledge, right? Because if there's a universe there, the world, or God, or there's a higher power there, and kind of like giving gifts to people, who's he gonna give gifts to? Is he gonna give the gifts to people that aren't taking action on the things that he's already given them? Oh, maybe not, you know, because they're not listening. It's like if I'm coaching somebody and I ask somebody to do something when they ask me for advice, and then when they don't do it and ask for coaching a second time, the only thing I might do is repeat the first thing I told them until they actually go and do it.
If somebody calls me and they say, what do I do? And I say, are you following the eight core steps? And they say, no, I'm gonna say, follow the eight core steps for the next 90 days, and after you do that, give me a call. They need to take action that's already there before we can really guide them. Those are actually not the, those things are not insignificant.
They're actually the significant things are actually the little things that we tell you to do right when you start. Literally, you could do nothing but watch the eight core steps, go through the products, right, and apply them, and you could go diamond in the power network over 12 or 24 months. Literally with no more information, with no more strategies, not learning anything from the outside world, but as a result of doing the things that we teach you to do, you will learn things from the outside because we tell you to read books. We're not specific. What should you read books about?
Well, you should read books about things that are related to your profession or trade, and in this business, we do marketing and people skills are important, so books on people skills are important. Books on leadership are important. Expand your leadership and studying great leaders are important, right? Books on coaching and mentoring people and things that help you influence people are important, and things on marketing and things on internet marketing and strategies that are related to blogging and marketing and posting ads, those are all important things to read. So you can start there, and what you'll find is as you naturally go through the process of personal development, your mind will seek answers to things, and by seeking for answers to the questions that you have, you're gonna form your own unique marketing personality that attracts people in the marketplace, and people are gonna be attracted to you because of how you talk and how you communicate, and it'll blow your mind thinking back to how hard it used to be to influence people, and all of a sudden, you'll be doing it, and you'll say, how is it that I did these things?
And you'll say, ah, I was on a call that one day where Dave Wood was telling me to read, and I said, you know what? That sounds easy to do. The reality is it's also easy not to do, but if I just do it and I'm willing to follow that pattern, it's not like it's complicated or hard. It's just that I have to be consistent, and if I'm consistent, that consistency will produce a breakthrough, so I'm gonna do that for the next year and try it out, right? Now, that's actually not a bad thing if you're gonna say I'm trying it out to actually try, to develop yourself for a year, but I would encourage you to not try it out.
I would encourage you to actually make a different decision to say, you know, I'm gonna do these things no matter what over the next 52 weeks, and I will give it 52 weeks of my best effort doing these eight things, and I'll just do what he says in these eight things and work on expanding myself. I'll be on the calls. I'll be at every event, every time. I'll do new member coachings with all my new people following the process that we've laid out, and I'm just gonna follow these eight steps for 52 weeks being on every call, promoting them to my team, and in doing that, I'm gonna create the best result that I possibly can create expanding my outcomes and goals and my vision as I learn new things along the way, and if you act like that in 52 back to now, and you'll say, wow, isn't it incredible how much more powerful I've become over the last year, and that, my friends, is where I wanna end tonight. If you're not registered for Nashville, Tennessee, make sure that you register before the price increases.
If you're on the page, there actually is a button to buy your event tickets for the next event. Just make sure to register to get to that event to be kind of included in the core group of people in Empower Network. I would encourage everybody on the call to just log into your back office and go through an Inner Circle audio tonight as you're going to sleep to listen to it, and maybe wake up in the morning and write a blog post about it. If you haven't written a blog post today, maybe make a video and put it on your blog. Maybe make a blog post and write down what you learned on this Monday's call before you go to sleep and email it to your list.
It's the little things, not the big things, that make the most difference to your success, and right now, as we're ending this call, that's what I want you to focus on is not what's happening on the outside, because we got great things happening in Empower, not what's happening in the leaders, because there's great things happening there, too, but to look yourself in the mirror and to be honest about what you see, not to be critical and not to judge yourself, but to take an honest inventory of yourself and to say, what am I actually doing or not doing that's creating the results that I want or not, and how can I change the things that aren't? And if you do that, you're gonna have a breakthrough, and with that, my friends, thank you for attending Empower Hour. Make sure to be on this call next week, Monday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. Same phone number every week.
We will be back to inspire you, to motivate you, to help you to change, and I will see you on the beaches of the world.
