Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary, as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.

I'm excited to be hosting tonight's Empower Hour. I've now been with Empower Network literally for four years.
I've been able, and I should speak on behalf of my wife as well. We have been able, my wife, Bea, and I, to create some extraordinary results. I've just been so blessed, and my family has been so blessed to be a part of this incredible movement of free entrepreneurs, of just incredible entrepreneurs with dreams. It got me dreaming again. It got me dreaming bigger and brighter, and I'm just so pumped up about 2016.
My intention tonight is to give you what you need to succeed and have massive success here within this business, because I do believe there are some core things that anybody can do to get results, to start generating some serious income. I'm going to take you back to 2010 and where I was at in my life. I was $500,000 in debt. Sounds crazy, I know. Very young age, I got into real estate.
I was a trainee appraiser for two years, and then I got my certification. I took a state exam. I wasn't the brightest. I failed the exam three times because I couldn't cheat. There's actually cameras when you take these tests.
There's cameras all over the building, whereas in school, I passed, but I was usually cheating from my friends. The teachers, they don't want to look bad and fail you, so they just walk out the room when you take a test. I'm like, oh, how grateful I am for that teacher, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that with the state exam. Eventually, I succeeded, and I graduated, or I shouldn't say graduated, but I passed that dang exam. I remember actually studying for a year before I took the exam just because I know how difficult it was.
Appraisers would tell me most appraisers would fail once or twice, but I failed three times. Eventually, I passed, and I didn't care how many times I had to take it. I was grateful they allow you to take it as many times as you like. I would just keep coming back, and eventually, I would pass it, even if it was by luck. It's multiple choice.
I'm like, eventually, I've got to choose the right answers, even if I ask the universe. You know what I mean? What answer should I choose? Anyways, I got my certification. I started making a lot of money.
A lot of money to me back then was six figures. I earned six figures my first year in business, not because I was bright and smart. I was a college dropout, but because I didn't have a high IQ or any special knowledge or anything like that. I realized some things. Once I got my certification, I was at the right place at the right time.
This was the real estate boom. I started going to these mortgage brokers, loan officers. I'd walk into their offices. There's this road called US 19 in Florida around the Clearwater area and such. I would just present myself.
I was introverted. I didn't know how to talk to people. I got smart, and I started creating little pamphlets on some of the services my firm would offer. I was the firm. I eventually got some clientele.
Long story short, I started buying up property. I bought my first home, and it was for $69,000. That's a great number, isn't it? $69,000. I bought my first home.
One year later or six months later, I don't remember exactly, it was worth $130,000. All I did was buy it at the right time. Because that's all I knew in the real estate industry was seeing things go up. I was appraising all of these homes. They'd refinance, and I'd do my estimated values so the bank could give the loan.
I see people profiting $100,000, $200,000 within a year because things got so inflated. I'm like, I'm just going to buy up property and become rich. At the time, they had something called verified income or something. They basically are stated income, I'm sorry. They just took your word for it.
If you had good credit, you didn't even have to prove how much money you made. Talk about this big debacle of people getting loans they really can't afford. I had four properties, and I lost them all. I stopped paying it because I could no longer afford them because what happened was they all went upside down. My primary residence went upside down like $300,000 because I bought at the wrong time.
I was at a crossroad, didn't know what to do. Fast forward a little further back to the China story. I'm like one of these guys. I'm different, but I'm also resourceful. At the time, I stopped paying my cable bill.
I started thinking, if it's not getting me closer to my goal, I'm just not going to invest time into it. I'm not going to invest time into TV knowing it wasn't getting me any closer to freedom. I'd take the extra money I would have spent on TV and I'd put it into whatever business I was promoting. I'd get really resourceful because people tend to have money for whatever they want. Even a homeless man will find money or take his money and buy beer or maybe buy a sandwich, who knows, but oftentimes they'll go buy cigarettes or things that they want because we always have money for what we want.
I just wanted to state that, but I remember when I joined Empower Network, I didn't have a phone, a cell phone. Why? I didn't believe it was taking me closer to my goal. But I'm like, why am I going to spend $80 or whatever the heck it was at the time for a cell phone if a cell phone is not getting me any closer to my goals? I got very resourceful, right?
But anyways, we decided to move to China because they were willing to pay for our stay. And when you're in a time of desperation, you've got to get resourceful and you should reduce your expenses. Basic math, right? So if I didn't have to pay rent or mortgage and the school was willing to pay, it was a good reason to go fly my butt to China along with my girlfriend who is now my wife. We've been together 12 years.
We got married actually when we got back from China. But long story short, I started teaching English because I needed a visa in order to stay in the country because I didn't have a very successful business. If you have so much money in the bank in a business or something, you can get a visa very easy. I wasn't one of those guys. I was building my network marketing business while I was in China because my vision was freedom, and I realized if I got a job and continued to work for the rest of my life, I would be in debt for my entire life because it's hard to get ahead when you have a regular job.
And I know this because my first job was flipping burgers at McDonald's. I call it – I won't even say the word. I don't want to disrespect. It's an evil corporation, but what the heck. You know what I mean?
Whack Arnold's. I'll just say it. Dave Chappelle said it, right? Whack Arnold's. And I was flipping burgers at Whack Arnold's for literally like $5.50 an hour as a freaking vegetarian.
You can't make this ish up, right? You know what I mean? You can't make this up. I'm flipping burgers as a vegetarian. I got like all this acne all over my face from the grease traps I used to have to empty into the dumpsters.
Then eventually I got a better job. I started bagging groceries at a local grocery store called Publix, right? So I know what it's like to work and not get ahead because I know that all too often, and also I don't come from a rich family, unfortunately, because it makes me really develop myself to achieve greatness. So I believe that is a blessing, and we're where we're at for a purpose, all of us, even you listening to this right now. And you get a tea ceremony, and it was just so relaxed.
So it did have its perks. After 13 months, I was finally able, my wife and I, to save up enough money to leave China because we weren't there because we wanted to be there. We were there because we needed to get resourceful, and we had this dream, right? And we were unwilling to give up on it. And I was working a job because that's what a teacher does, but at the same time, I find being a teacher very rewarding because I got to learn Chinese, Mandarin from the students, right?
I get to learn from these amazing souls, and I thought that was kind of cool. And also, it helped me self-develop myself because I needed to step outside myself because I was still very introverted, and I had to get over myself and let go of my ego, empty the cup, and start talking in front of groups of people. We had this class called English Corner, and oftentimes there'd be 30 to 50 students in that class, and I'd be up there giving a talk or speech or something like that, teaching them English or playing games, things of this nature. So I believe that experience happened in my life to teach me some people skills, even though it was with people who spoke a different language and such like that. I still learned so much skills I'm grateful for, but there was a lot of darkness to where I was living.
I lived in a city called Taiyuan in Shanxi Province. It was the old capital of China before Beijing, and today it's the coal capital. It's one of the most polluted cities in the entire country, and people die at a young age due to pollution, right? It is very unhealthy there. You walk outside with a white T-shirt, like 20 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour later, if you're driving what's called an e-bike, which is an electric bike, your freaking shirt is filled with smog.
It turns gray. It's so disgusting that it don't matter how many times you shower, even if you have short fingernails, there's always dirt under your nails, because things are dirty, the air is dirty, right? I remember my nose and nostrils, anytime I picked my nose, which I do, I'm human, I still pick my nose, right? Because they get clogged sometimes, and I got to like pick them free for air flow, I'm just saying. I would pick my nose and the booger would be completely black.
How disgusting is that? Let me tell you what. I stopped eating my boogers when I got to China. I swear I would eat my boogers all the time when they were green. They tasted good.
I'm not making this stuff up. It was just disgusting, right? So I wanted to get the hell out of there for the sake of my safety, you know, and my future wife's safety, but we managed to get out of there. So I'll fast forward a little further. We moved to our dream location in Cocoa Beach, Costa Rica.
This is in Guanacaste Province, which is the most northern province of the country, which is borderline of Nicaragua, and we moved there just because the visa run was easy. You take one of these buses for $20, and you cross the country, and then you come right back pretty much oftentimes, and they just stamp your passport, and then you can come back in the country for like, I think it was like 90 days at a time or something like that, but we rented out this tiny 300-square-foot studio apartment. I'll never forget this place. It was across the street from the beach, so it was a pretty cool location, even though there was like high crime, and when I say crime, not murder. Maybe there were murder, but none I knew of, but it was more just petty theft, because Costa Ricans are very poor, so theft is very common, I believe, also in Nicaragua and a lot of poor countries, right?
So there were like security bars on every window, and that's like a sign that maybe it's not the safest neighborhood, and I remember we had a peep-and-tom. My wife was taking a shower one time, and there was this Costa Rican-looking guy. Maybe it was Nicaraguan, I have no idea, but some dude. I didn't get to see him, but my wife got freaked out, and we had a neighbor who became a friend of ours, and she got freaked out, because this peep-and-tom was like appearing, but all this weirdness was going on, and we wanted to get out of that neighborhood and go into like a safer community, but the bright side, we lived across the street from the beach, so that was the excuse for moving there in the first place, but it was this tiny place. It was one room with a half a wall separating the kitchen from the bedroom, and the dining area was just in the middle.
It was one room, right? And the time I joined in Power Network with my wife, I was living in that 300-square-foot studio apartment, and my sponsor, who signed us up and shared the opportunity with us on November 8th of 2011, is Paul Hutchins. Shout-out to Paul. Very grateful to have an incredible mentor in my life who cared enough to share something with me that did transform my life. You know what I mean?
And it truly did, and at the time, Paul, and I didn't even know this until later, he was living in a single wide trailer home. I think that's what they call it. You know, my wife, when I met her, lived in a trailer home. You know what I mean? So to know, we've come from the bottom of the bottom.
Here you have this hippie Jedi, right? This crazy weird dude living in a 300-square-foot studio apartment. His sponsor, living in a trailer. Right? But we joined this business.
We plugged in. Things started to shift. Things started to transform. I started plugging into the Empower Hour, same call you're on right now, right? I started plugging in every week as if it was a religious ritual.
Like, people go to church on Sundays. You know, I grew up Catholic. I used to do that all the time. At one point, I went to Catholic school, right? And, you know, this became a ritual because this was something bigger than me.
It was about freedom. It was freedom for my family, a better lifestyle. It was about freedom, you know what I mean, for humanity. Because I knew once I attained freedom, I'd fight to my last breath to help others attain freedom. I may have achieved a lot of success, but oftentimes, I still look at myself as a poor person with a lot of money because I come from nothing, right?
A lot of leaders, such as the owner of this company, David Wood, comes from nothing, right? He lived in a van, homeless, right? But look at him now. And that's just a testament that when you have a dream, you can achieve it if you're willing to plug in and you're willing to take action. You're willing to do what it takes.
So this call became a ritual and maybe take a note if you're taking notes and you're a note taker or maybe you're a mental note taker like I am. You know what I mean? Never miss one of these calls. This is a ritual. You plug into this call, you will be successful.
It's just a matter of time, right, if you take action on what we're sharing with you here. And I believe anyone's life can transform because I don't believe I am any better. I don't believe I am any different. Actually, I am different. We're all unique.
Our fingerprints are all unique and different. But we're human at the end of the day, right? And now that I've attained freedom, and I didn't even get to the success part of the story, so let me actually get back to that and then rant a little more, right? Let me get some water here. So I plug into this community.
And I know because recently I was just looking at like the first time I ever got paid. And even though it was only $40, that was a huge victory because it showed me it was possible to get out of debt one day and claim my freedom, right? I'm one of those weird ones where I thought maybe, maybe if it wasn't the end of the world, you know, November or December of 2012, maybe there'd be major flooding. I didn't know what to expect. My main motivation for succeeding was to not die in 2012 so I could have enough money to move to Colombia, which the elevation is a lot higher, so if there were major floods, the one that I love, my wife, would still be alive, right?
That was my motivation. And I thank God there was no doomsday scenario, but what if we live life respecting the fact we will die one day and accepting it? Because when I accepted it, I started to try a lot harder going after my dreams. You know what I mean? I wasn't going to let life pass me by and not live fulfilled.
I've always used death as my motivation to succeed. Do you get that? Because you only get one shot, at least in this physical body, right? You only get one shot, so you really got to make it count. You know what I mean?
I don't know if you can relate to that, but when I think of death, I get inspired. I don't feel negative energy from it. Maybe in the very beginning it would piss me off or something like that, but I get inspired and I understand the grand, like, why God would do something like that. It's to make way for the new, to get rid of the old. Because what if some of the old ways of thinking were still here, right?
Like Adolf Hitler. Where would we be? We have to kill that out so we can make way for new consciousness to evolve. You know what I mean? So accepting that and knowing if I am going to be in a box one day, whether I like it or not, nobody has ever, ever escaped death, right?
Why am I not going to try my hardest and make it count? out and do whatever it takes, knowing I'm going to die anyways. You know what I mean? I want that to sink in, because I don't think death is inspiring some people. I think some people are not accepting that fact, right?
And they're wasting their life away. They're buying lottery tickets every day. Like when I go to the gas station to get gas or some bananas or something like that, all I see people lined up buying lottery tickets, looking for their lucky shot, right? Create your own luck. Why don't you create an economy you don't have to escape from?
So let's get back into the story, right? So I'm in Costa Rica. Continue to bust my butt off. Six months go by. But it took me years to get there, and I had to sign up a lot of people.
And in Power Network, I did it in record time, because we have a hybrid model here, where it's like you get paid like direct sales. You get a direct lump sum like on every sale that you make, so it's like direct sales. But there's also a residual income tied into it, where you build a team, you develop leadership, and that's where the majority of my income comes from today. I have a passion for developing leaders, right? A lot of our leadership does here, especially Dave Wood.
So I start to succeed a little bit. I get to an event. I was just sitting in the crowd. I drugged my wife. I meant to say like dragged, but I don't know like grammar so well, which is kind of funny being I was an English teacher in China, right?
So I say drugged, but I meant like I kind of like had to bend her arm a little to get there. I didn't drug her with like a drug, so I just got to like state that, right? But nonetheless, I got my wife to that event. This is in June of 2012 back in Atlanta, Georgia, and that event changed my life. It got me dreaming bigger.
At the time, I just wanted to earn five grand a month. I was currently at two-ish or something like that in the business opportunity itself, and when I got to that event and I saw so many people succeeding, I said, you know what? You know what I mean? It shifted my belief internally, right? It created who I am today because I realized, and this was my big breakthrough from the event, that belief is the biggest determining factor to success, and I left that event a new man.
I started believing, right? Things I would normally question and say, that's not possible. There's no way I can do that. I shut that bullshit off, right? I started plugging into audios like the inner circle, right?
I started empowering my mind. See, most people don't realize this, but this business is like 95%, at least, personal development. I believe that. This business is all about personal development, right? But we have to package it in a way where people want to get started, so we've got to talk about this business opportunity and create sales videos that really say nothing about the business, but they're just success stories so that you can actually believe that it's possible for you, and every story you see is true.
How cool is that, right? People like George Breyer earning six figures, his first 12 months plugging in, right? Having more success than he's ever experienced in the shortest, quickest amount of time. Why? They plugged in.
They got to the events and beliefs shift. Everyone I've seen have massive success here, because a lot of people come and go, but everyone who has stuck around, continuing to succeed, continuing to win and win and win, I see them at every event every three months. No ifs, ands, or buts, or questions about it. I haven't missed an event yet. Every three months I attend every event.
Why do I do that? Because I realize I'm a human being, and if I don't recharge my battery, I'll call it, if I don't re-plug my energy into something great, right, greater than myself, guess what happens? Negativity like takes over. I'm a human being, and I'm an empath, and I can feel the negativity of the world. You feel me?
A lot of shit, I shouldn't curse, a lot of ish goes down that I can feel, right? I have to plug into stuff like this. I have to plug into people living their dreams, otherwise I'd be depressed, right? And it wouldn't be going good. I wouldn't be able to inspire other people.
So I realize we are energy, right? Maybe take a note of that, and that I need to get to events, and if I can't, you know, if I couldn't attend an event for whatever, like, reason, you know, comes up and I couldn't make it, if there was a live stream, I wouldn't miss it for the world. I would sacrifice my phone bill, I would sacrifice my cable bill, I would sacrifice, you know, I would stay under the radar and not go out, I wouldn't buy lottery tickets, I wouldn't buy alcohol, I wouldn't buy cigarettes, I would save every bit of money to get to that, you know what I mean? Like, we have this Generation Hero live stream going down, I believe it's like the end of January, so I think it's January 28th, 29th, the 30th, and the 31st, or around that time, and everyone listening has an opportunity to buy a live stream ticket to mastermind with the top leadership in this company, right? Because I went to an event, my first high ticket event, where I spent $5,000 per ticket, and that was for each of us, I don't think there was a discount for a spouse, so I think it was like $5,000 for Dee, my wife, and it was $5,000 for I.
We started to have success in the business, we didn't have a ton of money in the bank, maybe we had $15,000 in the bank saved, but we spent $10,000 to get to an event, and it was the best decision of our life, because we got to connect with Aaron Rashkind, you know, Tracy Walker, Lawrence Tam, some of the leadership I consider dear friends here today. If I didn't attend that event, we wouldn't have the information that we have, right? So if you have the opportunity to attend an event, never miss it, and if you have the opportunity to get the live stream or recordings, don't miss that for the world, right? Because you're plugging into that energy for like a fraction of the cost, you're not having to spend $10,000, but maybe just a couple hundred dollars or whatever, you know, very affordable price, really anyone could afford who believes in what they're doing, because what I realized, if you believe in something, you find a way. That's why belief is the biggest determining factor to success.
If I believe I can sign up two people a day, I can sign up two people a day. Like clockwork, like every month, right? Notice I said we choose to live in, but as soon as we make a decision to crush that box, right? Step outside the box, right? Unplug from the matrix, do something different, go on a media fast, stop believing everything the media tells you, stop believing all the fear-mongering bullshit and propaganda that's being downloaded, you know, on a daily basis from all these, basically I'll just say it, dark forces.
I am a Star Wars fan, there is a dark side, right? I consider myself a Jedi because I consider myself a light worker doing something about it, but the answer is never violence, right? You don't fight war with war, that's why I never understand when we go to war. It's like these terrorists are, you know, blah, blah, blah, we need to go to war with them and it's like, yeah, war stops war when? When in history has war stopped war?
Never, right? So if you want to have success, what you need to do, you know, is be consistent, plug into this Empower Hour and I challenge you to do so every single week, plug into an Inner Circle audio, if you don't know what the Inner Circle is, get started today, go through your Fast Start training, there's three core videos to go through, you'll learn all about the Inner Circle, the Elite Club membership, get it and listen to an Inner Circle audio every day, replace the, you know, the BS from the news or the TV or the newspaper and just start listening to successful people that can get you to dream again, right? Listen to Martin Luther King if you have to, Harriet Tuchman, you know what I mean? Listen to David Wood, listen to Aaron Rashkind, Tracy Walker, Lawrence Tan, Mike Hobbs, Paul Hutchins, you know, listen to George Breyer, listen to Serena Cleese, listen to people who are going to get you to dream again, because that's the only way you're going to dream again and if you don't start dreaming again, guess what? You're like a ship with no destination.
How do you get to a destination if you don't know where you're going? You never do, you just drift and most people drift throughout life with no destination because they stopped dreaming back when they were young and it's sad and that bothers me, but at the same time it inspires me to do something about it, which gets me passionate to share my story to inspire other people. So if you're asking, what the heck is this business and what do we do? We help people dream again, right? We're disguised as a business opportunity, but we get people to dream again.
We help families attain freedom, right? Because most people are slaves, you know what I mean? I believe it's my mission to awaken the mentally dead. I do believe that. I believe we need a mass awakening.
I believe it's happening. I believe it's in the form of consciousness. My personal belief system is like the second coming of Christ is consciousness, Christ consciousness that we can tap into, right? We can awaken our pineal glands, which are our third eyes through things like meditation, rightful thinking, feeling happy, listening to inner circle, getting started, getting back with the person who invited you here today, plugging in and doing what the successful people are teaching you to do. That's why I recommend you listen to the inner circle because everyone who's teaching you there has been in the trenches and is succeeding and can teach you something and maybe that something is rightful thinking because I realized when I started to think in a positive way, my circumstances started to shift, but it all began internally.
So back to my story and then I'm going to bring out a very special guest who I'm proud to have out here tonight. You know what I mean? We have pretty normal lifestyle, nothing too extravagant, maybe like a middle class lifestyle or something like that, but I learned a valuable lesson I want to share real quick. Back in real estate, I made a little bit of money and I did stupid things with it. I didn't save for the rainy seasons.
I didn't know rainy seasons existed back when the real estate industry was like successful year after year after year and I didn't know the bubble would burst and so forth and I ended up a half million in debt and it almost cost my life. I'll say that because I didn't have the right mentors. The people I knew who were having a lot of success in real estate, they were all show. A lot of them were in debt, but they had a Mercedes, they had diamonds, right? You know what I mean?
They would show off. They were all show. I had the wrong mentors, right? Here, I plug into Dave, right? I plug into the leadership who are not about showing off, but you know what I mean?
Doing the right things with money so that you can become wealthy one day. You ever read the, you know, The Richest Man in Babylon? I highly recommend that book. It might just transform your life. I realized I didn't need to impress people.
The more money I started to make, the less I cared about impressing people. Back in the day, I used to try to look sharp to impress people, you know, do my hair a special way. Then I started making money and I'm like, I don't want to impress people. That's not why I'm creating money. I'm creating money to create more influence so that you listen to what I say.
You know what I mean? Because I believe I'm here for a mission. You know what I mean? I'm here to help people attain freedom. You know what I mean?
I believe we can create this shift in humanity because I believe the next wave of civilization here on this earth is entrepreneurship. Honestly, I don't see a future where we're enslaved for the rest of our lives, earning minimum wage, barely able to pay our bills, barely able to afford health insurance or not even able to afford that at all because a lot of people aren't. Obamacare is not cheap. I think a lot of us got scammed, right? I'm not afraid to say that.
I believe a lot of us have. So if you're not an entrepreneur and you're relying on your government who threw us overboard a long time ago, personal beliefs here, not the beliefs of Empower Network. I am the hippie Jedi. That's my disclosure. You know what I mean?
Create your own economy. You know what I mean? I have faith in Dave. I have faith in this company, this community. I have faith in our team.
I have faith in myself. I don't trust any president. You know what I mean? At the end of the day, even if I did trust them, I trusted JFK. Unfortunately, he got shot, right?
But at the end of the day, we have to fend for ourselves. If you want to make a difference, you know what I mean? You want to help other people's lives, help yourself, right? Secure your own oxygen mask. You know, there's a lot of people, especially light workers, and this saddens me, and they have a disconnect with money, you know, maybe because they were programmed to believe money is bad.
I mean, look at Hollywood. Most of the rich people are evil. Are they not? Dr. Evil.
You know what I mean? Feel me? We have been programmed, right? Our conditioning has been conditioned, right? How do we recondition ourselves and reprogram the unconscious mind?
We tap into, you know, people, you know, like you're going to hear from tonight. You know, so long story short, we had some incredible success here. The result's not typical, but I believe we're just getting started. Literally, we are just getting started. We have so many successful people who have came, you know, and succeeded here because they plugged in, and they believe in us, you know, to listen to us and to do what we recommend, and their lives have shifted forever, so I believe we're making an impact and a deep impact on a lot of human beings' lives, and regardless if we even help someone make a dollar, if we can help somebody plug into an inner circle audio and prevent them from taking their lives, like a lot of my teammates have personally told me, you know what I mean?
We save lives. That's what we do here. That's what the Empower Network is about. Empowering people, right? This is not just biz-op.
That just happens to be the icing on the cake. You know what I mean? We're transforming people from the inside out. That's what this movement is about, and I think it's really important I stress that. But anyways, I want to introduce a dear friend of mine.
I first met him maybe three years ago. It's crazy how fast time flies. I think he watched one of my YouTube videos, and he saw this weird hippie, and it's funny because he has no hair, and here I am with all this long hair, and he decided to join me. Ha. Power of the hippie Jedi, right?
But anyways, he saw this video of me online, and he just, it resonated with him, and I'll let him share his own story, but he plugged in, and he's a servant leader. He got a big heart. He cares about people. He cares about this country. You know what I mean?
He cares about humanity, and he's taking a stand, and he's inspiring people, and he's living his purpose, and he's getting paid because the more people he helps succeed, the more successful he becomes. That's the beauty of what we do here, but without further ado, Mr. George Breyer, are you there, brother? I sure am. Can you hear me?
Loud and clear. How's your day going, my friend? My day is going awesome, man, and man, you got me fired up listening to you speak there, Justin, so I appreciate that. I appreciate you inviting me on this call, the Empower Hour call. This is my first time on this call, and it's a privilege to be here, and I have to tell everybody listening to this call that you are in the right place at the right time, and I honestly do believe that we are just getting started.
Man, I'm building this business like my hair's on fire, and I don't even have hair, you know, but yeah, I mean, my story in the home-based business arena started way back in 1993. The year I got discharged from the Marine Corps. I was in the Marines for four years, a Desert Storm veteran, and I got discharged and enrolled in college because I didn't know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life when my mom called me and invited me over to her house because she had found something where we're all going to get rich, and I was introduced to the Amway Corporation that night and joined because I figured that all I had to do was find three, and I'd be free. For those of you that are in network marketing before, you remember the first time you saw the circles and were introduced to residual income, and you know, I was in that company for about four years, never made any money, but it did introduce me to personal development, and Justin had talked about that earlier, the most important part of succeeding in business is your mindset and personal development, and you know, the Inner Circle audios are awesome for that, so definitely take advantage of that product. The Inner Circle is awesome, but you know, I didn't have any success there, and I'd never had, I hadn't had any success in any of the 12 network marketing companies that I joined between 1993 and 2006.
I failed in every single one of them, and it was pretty, I know why I failed because every single one of them taught me how to, you know, make a names list of my family and friends and then go chase them around, and if they didn't want to join you, then you go and learn how to prospect. and I'd go out to malls and meet people and stuff like that and I did all that and Never had any success. You know, I've spent Thousands and thousands of dollars on buying leads from, you know, hot fresh leads you just call them up and I invite them to a presentation did a lot of that never had much success and then one time I did hit the jackpot in network marketing. I actually Had a I was in the radio business for 12 years and I actually had a buddy who Had a syndicated radio show in 88 markets across the country and I worked out a deal with him And he started advertising my website on his radio show We partnered up and I actually had a lot of success for about a year Actually broke some records in a in a nutritional company But you know the radio ad didn't last and it wasn't duplicatable and it all fell apart and So I but I did experience that success, you know, and I was just hungry to finally figure it out and I Turned to the internet and had Minimal success Here and there nothing sustainable and I'd actually lost a couple income streams in September of 2012 Because I was following this guru around and I was promoting his systems and we're making some money but then that all fell apart and I Was struggling. I didn't know what I was going to do As far as supporting my family because I had been laid off from my job as well at the radio station and It was September 2012 when my wife told me that she was pregnant with our daughter Gianna and I was like, well, I gotta make I gotta figure something out here.
You know, I got a baby on the way We're living in an old broke-down house built in 1890 the basement flooded every time it rained for more than a day and I Knew that I had to figure something out before this baby was born. I had to get a new house and Then I logged on the Facebook one day and I seen a picture of Justin Varengia and D on stage hold one of their big checks from the San Diego event and I hadn't really known Justin. We're Facebook friends and I seen some of his marketing materials I think I've seen a YouTube video which made me Friend him and you know Timing is Everything because the timing is right for me to reach out to Justin And ask him about the Empower Network and to make a long story short. I joined with Justin and We was October 7th, I believe it was October 7th. I joined the Empower Network and got to work Got to work.
You know, they asked me to speak at an event in Orlando in October of 2013 and that was a great experience and Just loved it and You know We were really successful and then in 2014 I actually got a little sidetracked had a different company flying me out to their corporate operation And check that out and to make a long story short decided to add another income stream and focus on that for a little bit company out of business and You know, I'm like what the heck am I doing? So here I am back full steam 100% committed to Empower Network and David Woods vision and just totally Love where this company is going love the new compensation plan and Definitely going to go diamond here in 2016 with the Empower Network So that's that's a real quick story here Powerful, bro, and you know, I Always like to say that with the Empower Network. This is my Opportunity to do my part in saving humanity And I say that because I believe that when we help enough people create their own economies online That then they'll be able to do the things that they want to do and they'll be able to help the people that they want And when we help enough people do that, we will save humanity and I honestly believe that you know Justin touched the boat touched on the government and the health care system and all that crap, you know all the jobs are going overseas and it's just it's just really a Glimmer there. I mean people are out there looking right people are out there looking for something. We got something, right?
We got we got this movement the Empower Network that we can introduce to people that we can help people with right, so I don't want you guys to like prejudge anybody or think that somebody wouldn't want to take a look at the Empower Network because Everybody's a candidate to look at Empower Network. So just make it happen and You know, I'll be seeing you guys at Generation Hero down in Miami back to you Justin Awesome brother appreciate it and I never get tired of hearing your story man It's always so inspiring and I appreciate you sharing part of your mission of freeing humanity at the end I think that's probably what connected us. We are very similar in that aspect We talked about a lot, you know similar things and I think it's really important to speak your purpose With other people because I think that's what connected me to George who went on to you know Absolutely crush it here. And if I didn't create that YouTube video, which is a free piece of content and share it George wouldn't be here. That's why it's your responsibility to actually use your blog and create content You know, how do you sign Justin?
How'd you sign up over 2,000 people George? How are you getting five new signups a day? We create content we enrich other people's lives and it just comes back a hundred fold That's just the nature of the game. So it's our responsibility as marketers that like what are we doing? We're speaking our vision We're helping people dream again because the more people we help with our free Content via the blog or Facebook or YouTube or Twitter or Instagram and so forth Pinterest The more people who are going to be attracted to you the more people who are going to friend you and Inbox you and say I want to know more.
I want to learn more So and I also want you to think of this What if you were consistent for the next 90 days and you created a piece of content from the heart? Every day for 90 days. I know what is going to happen You're going to start to sign up people and you're going to make it seem effortless to others and George I just want to ask you a few things What is a day in the life of your life? Look like I know you sign up a lot of people you're number three on the leaderboard right now out of like everyone in the entire company for signups What is your day look like? What do you do on a day-to-day basis or what tips can you offer?
Somebody brand new who just got started or somebody who decides to get started right now today Well, the first thing you need to do is make a decision that you're going to do this thing Build it like your life depends on it because it does I'm going to say it again. You need to work on your personal development and start believing in yourself Because you must believe in yourself to succeed in any business But just take action, you know, what I did is I found an online mentor. I found somebody who was living the lifestyle and doing a marketing technique that I Connected with and then I just followed them and learn from them and just duplicated it So what does my day look like right now? I got a two and a half year old daughter and a eight month old son So I started off my day every morning waking up in the morning I started off my day every morning waking up with my children and then having breakfast With my family. My wife don't work.
We don't work. We work full-time from the home and I just you know as far as building my business I Create content every day on Facebook. I connect with at least 10 to 20 new people every single day on Facebook and I'm very consistent. I'm very consistent with that and I follow up people every single day I follow up with people until I get a yes or no and I just keep on moving forward and That's it man. Just doing the do If it's safe to say if somebody is not getting the results they desire in their business that it's a direct reflection They're not providing the right content to the right people.
Oh, yeah, absolutely there See everybody has a story Right, even if you don't leave that you have a good story that the people would connect with you do right? you do have a story so you just need to be authentic and get out there and connect with your people because your story or your piece of content could change somebody's life, so Definitely and one more question for you George What advice do you have to give those just listening in maybe on the fence right now? we haven't made a decision and They have an open mind, but they just haven't made the decision yet to get started. What advice can you offer them? Just get started have faith and get started I Mean just do it.
You got nothing to lose and everything to gain and Once you get that the truth Once you get plugged in you're gonna meet this community And this is truly a movement and you're gonna love it. So just get started because you will love it Sage advice. Thank you so much George. I appreciate love your brother be seeing you here in like a couple weeks in Miami, dude Love you, too, Justin. Thank you my pleasure brother.
I appreciate popping out and We have a very special surprise guest who is going to give us a happy ending this man He's this is this is like the guy right? This is the guy who's not only he stayed like someone did a post and it made me realize how much I appreciate Dave They're like you want a gold watch from him He saved you from a waterfall and they just went off listing like everything he's done and that's not even like a smidge of Everything he's done, but he's just impacted my life and it's safe to say Hundreds of thousands if not millions of other people's lives in such a positive way You know, there's people that got around him who were on their last, you know, they're ready to give up in life Take their own life, right, but they made a new decision and they just shifted He has I think if you I think we should create this in the dictionary and just call it the Dave would effect Because he has an effect when people get around him that cannot be explained It's it's very mysterious You know, and I'm no disrespect to Jesus. I love Jesus, you know, I love Jesus very much But he it's almost like the Jesus effect like people get around him and they just shift and I'm an example I'm speaking from experience, right? I got around him my life Transformed so if you have the opportunity, I just want to say this I'm talking to you out there if you have the opportunity to get in his presence, maybe that's attending one of the events Maybe that's buying a live stream ticket doing the best you could within your own resources and still stretching at the same time Do it and have an open mind and expect the transformation and I could almost guarantee you will transform and I can't explain it. Nobody can explain it.
But that's why all the leaders are here That's why we've been here for four years That's why we've never left right even when things weren't so great and they shut the merchants down like in the very beginning we're like we want to be a part of this vision of David would because we want to have this effect on other people and crazy as it sounds I Starting to get this effect on other people nowhere near the level of Dave, of course But like at the events and people talking to me and all of a sudden it's like Dave's energy I don't know if I'm downloading it or something, but I'm tapping into his energy, but it's not even his energy We're tapping into some unknown energy. Maybe we can just call it the force. You know, your brain will accept that right? Especially my Star Wars fans, but without further ado I'd like to bring out the founder of this company the one and only mr. David would Hey, man, can you can you hear me?
Okay loud and clear brother take it away Awesome, man. I mean, I don't know what to do with all those compliments. I'm just here like all of us I like to what I like to tell people is that this isn't really my vision. This is ours and What I mean by that is that I Really started this company for one reason and the reason I started it was to help all of you Accomplish the dreams that you have inside your heart and your dreams are different and that's the beautiful thing I don't think anybody that's in the world has the same dream as another human being. I think that we're all made unique and different to do different things in the world and I believe that human beings have the ability to do great things when they're given the tools right when they're given the resources when they're given the training when they're given the mentorship and I've been blessed enough in my life to where I've had Great mentors, you know, I've had I've had great influencers that appeared in my life and it really changed things for me And it seems like there's this strange thing that happens around me where I'm one of these people that I have I don't know.
I don't know if it's just something that some people are born with And we all fit in the world differently, but I'm one of these people I have like this ability to have like a dream and a vision and pretty much every dream or every vision I've ever had That I write down and I really adamantly pursue every single one of them I accomplish without fail and it's amazing to see the things that happen and how bizarre they are sometimes in order to make some of this stuff happen that Kind of just gets downloaded into my brain. I don't think I'm a prophet I've got magical powers or anything like that What I believe is I believe that everybody in the world is made for something different and I believe that my purpose is to help you to transform and to step into the dreams that you've got inside and my question for you tonight is What do you want? Right? What do you want? And What do you want so badly that you're going to do whatever it takes to get it?
Not what do you sort of want not kind of like? Oh, yeah, I want a Ferrari You know to be in or I want to take nice vacations all the time. What do you want? What do you want that's so intense inside your minds in your heart that you will do? Anything that's honest.
It's legal in order to make it happen What is it that desire that's put inside, you know with Justin? I remember that because it was Well, I almost drowned too is one of the reasons I remember except forget lots of things you know, I've got one of those a BB type brains and you know, I saw him I remember looking over to the right and you know He's splashing around and it took me like probably I don't know it seemed like 30 seconds But it was probably like actually two or three seconds to realize that he was actually drowned You know what? I mean and I just went and I grabbed him and then I got out because I'm taller so I was able to put my feet against the stone wall and kind of walk myself out of the waterfall and You know, it's an interesting thing because You know he told this story multiple times where he told a story where he got out of the waterfall and he said I'm gonna make like You know 30 grand that next month, right? Well, I actually caught that whole thing on video I have this video on our blog and so when he when he gets out of this waterfall He's got like this kind of white look in his face. He actually would not go into any more waterfalls I don't know if Justin Berenge will go into waterfalls today But like for the next like three or four days, like he would not get near stepping his feet into any waterfall I don't know if you remember that Justin, but it was really it was it was really funny I was like, come on this one looks safer and you're like, it's okay.
I'm okay right here, right? Kind of white look at his face. You remember that? Yeah, I do I didn't have the same desire anymore Like I would look at a waterfall and be like it's heaven paradise and then I'm like no I respect the land You know what I mean? You're like I'm not pushing my luck on this one.
I'm okay outside the waterfall, right? And so, you know in any case like, you know Justin is you know He's there he comes out and I say how much you gonna make this next month and this is still in the same video in One clip back-to-back where he almost drowned and he says this next month. I'm gonna get you know, I'm gonna make 10,000, right? So he has a transformation where his energy changes and he just Decides that he's going to do whatever it takes right for his own reasons with his own dreams and next month He actually overshoots it by more than two and a half times Overshoots his goals. Now.
How would you like to be able to overshoot your goals to be able to set a goal and then you miss it to hit something bigger. You know what I mean? That's the kind of goal that I like to set That's the kind of outcome that I like that. It's like you set something and you do something even better You know, I mean, I remember back in 2006. I was building this company offline and I wasn't making a lot of money or anything I was making a few thousand a month, and I'm up in Fairbanks, Alaska, hanging out at my friend Jimmy Cash's house.
His last name, this guy, perfect name for network marketing, but he quit, and now he's a preacher or something. His last name is Cash. I mean, could you imagine the plugs I would get if my last name was Cash? It's like, listen to Dave Cash, you know what I mean? I don't even think I changed my name just for that.
But his last name was actually Cash, you know what I mean, but he didn't have much. And anyway, he was like, guys, we're going to go to Bora, let's just all sign this card together that by 2011, we're going to be in Bora, you know, in a bungalow hanging out over the ocean. I don't know if you guys have ever gone and looked at those bungalows in Bora, but they're gorgeous. So 2010 comes around, and I had actually forgotten about that goal. But there's something magical happening that when you write down a goal, it's like you're exercising faith.
It's like you're exercising a special kind of energy towards accomplishing that outcome that doesn't happen if you just think of a goal. And maybe it's because you think of it, but you don't do anything active to actually visualize it if all you're doing is imagining it. There's something magical when you write something down, not just when you write something down, but it's like when you write stuff down, even if you forget about it, but then in your life, you continue to listen, and you continue to take action, and you continue to walk in inspiration, and you continue to speak your dreams and speak your dreams and speak your dreams and speak your dreams and speak your dreams, right? It's like things come together and happen that help you accomplish goals that you literally don't even remember you wrote down. So 2010 comes along, and I'm kind of burnt out on doing what I'm doing.
So I log in one day, this affiliate thing I'm in, and I see this contest, and I'm like, you know, maybe I should try to win this thing, right? So I was like, eh, I don't really feel like exerting the energy, and I was like, no, no, no, I should do it. So in any case, I put like one hour of effort together, sent an email out to my list, and then I doubled the sales of the next guy, right? Like I doubled him, made it, I probably, that probably crushed the rate of this guy so much because he's a really good producer, I'm not going to mention his name, and so I doubled the sales of this guy in like two hours, I win, and then I don't do anything, right? So in any case, I didn't even look what the prizes were for this thing, right?
Like I didn't even know what they were. I didn't know what the prize was, and so what happens is that in 2011, earlier on, somebody from the company keeps contacting me, and they say, Dave, for tax purposes, we have to give this instead of trip to you, we can't just hang on to your money. So do you want the money? Do you want the trip? Like, what do you want?
And I was like, what is it? Right? So I won this contest just because I was like, eh, I'm in this thing, I might as well, you know? So I won this contest, right? And I said, you're shitting me, and I remembered that card.
And I was like, it's 2011, I'm supposed to go to Bora. So in any case, I said, I'll take the trip to Bora. They scheduled it on my birthday, and my birthday, 2011, I was sitting out on a bungalow with my toes dipped into the ocean, staring at a full moon, remembering that card, and thinking to myself, what if I had just listened a little bit earlier in my life to all the mentors that told me to write down your goals? And I never did. I don't know why I never did.
You know what I mean? It's like, we hear stuff, but we don't hear it. You know, there's that old saying that says, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. And the funny thing is, it seems like all of us always have teachers. We always have teachers that are in our lives.
But it's like, we don't listen to them. It's like we don't listen to them, and then they go away. You know, what does Justin probably do if he has a student that doesn't listen to him? He probably stops talking to that student, not because he doesn't love them, but because he's got better things to do with his time than to cast seeds on stony ground. And if you've got a stony heart for receiving the kind of information that you need, sometimes it's time to open your heart and to open your mind and to allow correction to enter in.
Because a wise man receives correction. You know, I've picked up on this a lot myself over the last couple of years, and I've learned tons running this company. I've learned more running this company than I ever cared to learn, to be honest with y'all. You know what I mean? It's like, I started this company, I remember I was like, you know, I was looking at it, and like, I was with a group of people down in Costa Rica, right?
There was a handful of them that came down to my house to a private mastermind. And the interesting thing is everyone that stayed at my house transformed and has made from hundreds of thousands to multiple millions of dollars in that trip. And there's going to be many more trips like that in the future, but that's to be announced later, perhaps at the Generation Hero event when you pull out your credit card and buy your tickets, perhaps you could experience something like that. So in any case, you know, I'm like, I can't even remember what I was talking about, Justin. Do you remember?
Like, I was on some train of thought about something or other, then I changed the subject, and I can't remember now what I was talking about. It only comes back when we stop thinking about it, so. It does. So I'm going to stop thinking about it now. But it's like, you got to open your heart and your mind to receive correction, okay?
And here's what I learned, and this is what I was going to say, actually, is, you know, I do this thing in Costa Rica, and I start this company, and I've gone through phases where I've been more humble, where I've been less humble. I've gone through phases where I've gotten prideful and gotten, you know, then opened my heart and been broken inside again. And what I've learned through all that, and I don't think it's useful to share all the stories here, I've learned that it's just useful to stay humble. It's just useful to stay humble. It's useful to keep receiving correction.
You know, there's this thing that happens when people get broken. It's like they're willing to receive correction, and they're willing to work. And when you're willing to work and you're willing to receive correction and you listen, you're going to hear your mentors saying, you need to write your vision down. And if you're listening to them, you're going to do it. And if you do it, things will begin to transform, even if you write it down and erase it, like on a whiteboard.
Just writing it down and staring at it and allowing the ideas from the universe to pour forth through your kinetic energy will change things for you on the inside, if you just decide that you're going to write your vision and goals down. And maybe it's the fact that when you write them down, you actually clarify your desires for the future. Maybe it's that you clarify your outcomes that you're going to step into. Maybe it's because you're stepping into a clarity on the inside of your mind and the little map quest that you've got on the inside can now point you in the right direction. I don't know why that is.
But see, sometimes what happens is you start to succeed a little or you start to prosper because you always prosper if you're willing to work hard, you're willing to receive correction, you're willing to listen, and if you listen to what we're saying and you're willing to receive correction, you will begin to prosper in a new kind of way. But then here's what happens to people, and I don't know why this happens, but it happens to me too, okay, is you start to succeed and then you're like, I've made it. You're like, oh, I did this my way. And all of a sudden you start thinking that you're the reason all of it happened. And that, my friends, is the beginning of your fall back down to brokenness where you can be humble again.
And the best way to avoid that all is to just stay humble, to keep receiving, to keep an open heart, to be willing to receive correction all along the way. See, because I've learned a whole bunch over the last six years online. I've learned way more since 2011, but the thing that I've learned that keeps ringing in my ears and my heart is that I actually don't know anything and I'm just learning like all of you. So I want you guys to pay attention and listen, and not just listen with ears, but to listen with your heart as I talk for the next few minutes, and not just to listen with your ears when you listen to the inner circle, but to listen inside and to ask, is there something that I need to change right now inside my heart in order to get the results that I want? Is there anger that I need to let go of?
Is there resentment that I need to let go of? Is there frustration I need to let go of? Am I not listening in some area of my life? Am I not listening to my wife if she's given good correction? Maybe you shouldn't listen for a little while you're focusing your energy in the right direction, but are you listening to your spouse?
Are you listening to people who are there to love you, to serve you, to help you get the results that you want? You know what I mean? Sometimes it's interesting. Somebody like Justin will get up here and talk, and what people won't hear in all the things that he says, even if he mentions it, is they won't hear when he talks about how broke he was when he started. They're continuing to make excuses about the money that they don't have, not realizing that they're listening to somebody on the call who's earned a million and a half dollars who used to be as broke as them, used to be as broke as you, not realizing that the founder of the company used to live in a van.
Sometimes people will listen to me. They'll listen to me talk, and just after I finish talking, they'll go continue in their pattern of excuses that they've developed in their brain over the years. It's not just the reason they can't buy, because it's not a reason. It's actually a reason they can't buy. What do I mean by that?
It means it's the reason they're broke. The broke thinking is the reason they're broke. I ask this question all the time to people. It's like, okay, so you don't have money. If you took somebody like Donald Trump, and he had a $2 billion project to start, let's say he only had half a billion.
The question is, would he come up with the other 1.5? That's not to say whether you like him or don't like him. It's just to say, and ask the question, would he come up with it? The answer is yes, if he wanted to. Why?
Because people who get rich, get rich because they're resourceful. That doesn't mean they start with resources. Justin talked earlier about being resourceful. He talked about being resourceful and coming up with the resources that he needed. It doesn't mean that he started with all those resources.
Guys, when he flew down to my house in Costa Rica, he could barely afford a plane ticket across a country where those tickets are like $100 each. We're talking $200 for him and his wife. He could barely afford to fly with these to my house. He was that broke. See, but broke is temporary.
Poor is thinking. So are you broke or are you poor? Hopefully neither. But if you're one, it's better to be broke. And here's a better question to ask.
It's not, how much does it cost, and do I have the money? It's, how much does the commitment cost that's required for me to succeed, and where can I come up with that money to make that happen? That is the thinking of somebody that prospers, right? So I was reading this. I was reading my Facebook timeline a little bit ago, and something for my brother pops up.
My brother's a hypnotherapist and does personal change work with people. He's really good. And he tells this story about how he discovers his purpose is when he has a friend of his who he's known for a long time sitting in front of him, and they're just all broken apart on the inside. Their eyes are dimmed. They've lost their vision.
They've lost hope. And then he begins to speak to them in a soft, soothing voice. He starts to work with them. And then all of a sudden, the brokenness falls away, the eyes light up, and a fire begins to burn on the inside. As you get a new heart, a new vision, as you begin to think in a new way about your future, that's what we do.
What we do is we empower people. We empower people to do things that they've never done before. We empower people to step into a kind of greatness that they've never had before. We empower people to love again. We empower people to believe in themselves.
And I want to tell you guys something here, that if you don't believe in yourself, I believe you can and will do this if you'll just put your nose down. As they used to say in the Mormon church, put your shoulder to the wheel and press along. If you're willing to do the work and willing to be humble, as you're willing to step into a new future, you will. And that's the beautiful thing about what we do is the impact that it has on people is not limited to something that they learn, a strategy that they learn, a tactic that they learn, a closing line that they learn. If that's all this was, it's a closing line.
You know what I mean? I could get on here, and in a one-hour call, I could give you every closing line that exists in the world, and you'd just go prosper, wouldn't you? Well, why don't you? How come you've read the books? How come you've listened to the cool audios?
You've listened to some of the courses. You've learned all those tactics. You've gone on YouTube, and you could learn a lot of these blogging tactics on YouTube for free. But how come they don't work? How come you're not getting the result that you want?
How come you're not stepping into the future you want, guys? It's not because of the tactic. It's not because of the strategy. It's not because you don't know something that some sort of specific way of doing or saying or writing something. That's not why.
The reason why you're not stepping into the future is actually the simple thing. It's a belief in yourself. It's a belief in what you're doing. It's a vision to the future. It's an unbreakable will to succeed, right?
It's being willing to get out there and to do the work that you know that you need to do. It's the willingness to speak your future into existence. We have this audio. It's called Speak the World into Existence, right? I tell people to listen to it every day for their first 60 days when they get in.
Now, some people do that. Some people don't do it, right? And guess who the people are who change. They're the people that do it. It's not the people that think about it.
It's not the people that listen to the assignment. It's not the people that think about writing their goals down to accomplish them. It's the people that do it, right? It's the people that take immediate action upon stimulus that they receive, that's correction that they know they need to correct, things they know they need to correct in their life, right? Whenever I get around somebody who's massively successful and who has massive personal breakthroughs in their life all the time, right, because when you're walking down the right path, you don't just have breakthroughs some of the time.
You have breakthroughs all the time. You have insights come to you all the time. You have actions that come to you that you need to take all the time. You have mentors that come and correct you all the time. And it's this living work of art to make your life how you want it to be.
And if you don't listen or you stop listening, the corrections stop coming because no mentor wants a student that doesn't listen, right? Now, I got a, you know, I teach martial arts. I'm a local martial arts kung fu teacher. I teach it when I end as I fly down, like every, probably every three months. You know, I'm flying down for like 10 days.
I was talking to my local kung fu teacher. He's like, you know, Dave, I think that you're the only person in the world that, like, doesn't teach martial arts for a living or something. And you spend money to fly some dude across the world to teach you kung fu. He says, I'm weirded out by it, but I'm glad that I come over here and you pay me to train with you every day. And I said, don't worry about it, man.
I just like to be weird. And what does he do? He corrects my energy, right? He fixes things that are broken in my kung fu, right? He teaches me what to do, stuff that I don't know.
And that's what a good mentor will do. And if you're on this call and you're listening, some of you are saying, okay, then teach us and correct us. And you know what you're not doing? Buying your tickets to the Generation Hero event. Have you done that yet is the question, right?
Now, some of you have. Congratulations. You take the actions you need to take. And then, okay, some of you have bought that. And you're sitting on here and you're like, okay, tell me what to do.
Okay, have you joined yet? Right? Some of you are like, tell me what to do. And I'm like, okay, have you gotten all in yet? Have you actually bought the products?
Have you actually invested in your education? Invested in yourself, right? That's not about a financial investment. It's about getting a return in the marketplace, right? You know, sometimes people, they're looking for something that doesn't exist.
They're looking for something they can just put money into and the money will just grow automatically without them having to do anything, or think anything, or learn anything, or apply anything, right? And I don't know what they want. You know what I'm saying? It's like, do they want a Ponzi scheme? Is that what they want?
Because that's what that is. That's not a business. You know what I'm saying? But when you get over the ego of trying to get something for free, when you get over this bull crap, guys, you know what the truth is? I keep seeing this Powerball thing pop up in my Facebook timeline, and I literally don't even know what it is.
I'm not joking. I don't know what it is, I don't know when it is, and I don't care because odds and guessing don't control my future vision, and speaking the vision, and taking action on the vision, and receiving correction, and being willing to walk down a path and adjust myself. That controls my future, right? If I was trying to win some sort of a lottery, you know what I mean? What's the point of, like, learning?
What's the point of doing anything? You know what I mean? Guys, this is not the point or the meaning of life, and the media is blowing up about this. I'm getting stuff in my Facebook timeline, and I'm like, well, people stop talking about what this stupid thing is. I don't care.
So I keep hiding the stories from my timeline from people who, you know what they want to do? They want a free future. They want to say, heavens ring down the blessing on me, the man and the woman that won't do anything to attain it. You know what I'm saying? Guys, and that's not how it works, right?
So here we are. We're on this call, and here's what I want to share with you. Here's my story. 2009, I'd failed in this industry, off and on, with varying levels of success that I wouldn't define as success, which is anything less than your dreams. And I'm failing, and I'm so broke that I'm living in a gleam 1996 Dodge Terrapin.
It has the paint peeling off of it, rusted tires, has a leak in the roof that drops water on my face at night during tropical storms, and had a job at Greenpeace. I was, at the time, giving people pitches for, you know, why Greenpeace can save the environment, and, you know, got fired. That sucked. I'll tell you, if something sucks, it's living in a van, getting fired from Greenpeace. You know what I mean?
I can't imagine something like more demeaning to your self-image than that, if you go through it and not make a decision from it. You know what I mean? It's like the only job. I can't remember how old I was, right? That's 2007, right?
Or no, 2009, excuse me. Early on in the year, around June time, right? And I'm working for the only job I can find, which is hawking things on street corners, probably because I smelled so bad, right? And taking showers at public beaches in the morning time, right, and like, eating crackers and eating canned beans. And then I get fired.
You know what I mean? And I get fired for being late. You know? Guys, that there, right, is a low point to be. But you know what happens?
Sometimes when you, it's like when you take, you know, something like a nut and you chuck it against the ground. If you throw it hard enough and it hits the bottom with enough force, it cracks and opens up. Sometimes that's what needs to happen to people's hearts before they'll listen. I know for me, that's exactly what needed to happen. In order to listen, I had to be broke.
I had to go to a low. I had to have the universe beat the crap out of me. And if you're there, if that's where you are in your life, I want to say something to you that probably nobody around you will say. Probably everyone around you is probably saying, Oh, poor you. You poor little soul.
You know what I mean? I feel so bad for you. And you know what I'm going to tell you? Fucking congratulations on hitting your low. Fucking congratulations.
Congratulations on hitting the bottom with such force that you're breaking. Allow yourself to break. Allow yourself to open up. Allow yourself to become a new person. Allow the delicious parts of your personality to come forth out of the shell.
Congratulations, man. Because there's nowhere you can go but up. You know what I mean? There's a guy that popped on our Elite Hangout, or it was like our Beginner Club Hangout or something the other week. I can't remember.
I think it was the Beginner Club. Tracy Walker, right? So on Saturday. And this guy pops on and he goes, I can't afford to eat. And you know what I said?
I said, congratulations, dude. Because that's where I was in 2009. And it took that for me to listen. It took that for me to stop making excuses. It took that before I said, you know what?
Enough's enough. I'm 28, like, broker than anyone in my family. And I ain't going to be 38 broker than anyone in my family. I ain't going to fail for seven more years. I'm done.
Right? Sometimes when you hit the bottom with enough force, that's what the universe is doing. It's not trying to get you to do things. And so Justin says things like, we've helped people turn around from suicidal thoughts and behaviors. And sometimes that's all it is, is realizing you can't go any lower, dude.
You can't. You're at the bottom. The universe has been crushing down on you so you'll get humble. It's been breaking you apart so you'll open your heart and you'll break away that cold shell that was put there from all the pain that you've had in your life. Look, and I understand that it's pain.
I understand that it's pain. You know, I was listening to this sermon by T.D. Jakes the other day. I love that guy. That guy's awesome.
And he says, you know, a lot of people say, I want your success. He says, but I say to you, can you handle the pain? Can you handle being broken? Because that's what it takes. So if you're there, congratulations, dude.
Congratulations on being at your bottom. Make a decision that right now is your point of being open and humble. Make a decision that right now is your time to change. You know, operating from an open heart is a great place to be. I remember what it was like when I first started to work, when I really started to work like I had never worked ever before in my life.
And a lot of times we don't talk about this. You know what I mean? Because, like, people want to sell things and say, oh, it's so easy. You know what I mean? And the truth is it's way easier than what you do now, I'm sure, right?
And that's honest to God truth. If you compare what I do compared to what you do, probably, okay, what I do is easier, right? It's probably simpler. You probably have to learn less things. But it doesn't mean you don't work.
You know what I mean? And so sometimes we get so busy selling people on this bullshit, right, that we never tell them the truth. We never tell them the authentic reality of what we go through the first 90 days that we're in business, right, when we really are breaking through. Yes, Justin Berenji, you say, okay, your moment of breakthrough, not about how many phone calls that you made, right? How hard do you work for the next 90 days?
I'll ask him. He's right here. Hey, Justin. Justin, you there? Yes.
Okay, so we tell that waterfall story all the time. You stop making phone calls. I understand that. But truthfully, okay, I know you weren't doing the stupid work, but stupid work is different than no work, right? How hard do you work for the next 90 days?
I've never asked, so I don't know. If it was nothing, then tell me nothing. I work until I have no energy and pass out. I work harder than I would imagine most human beings would push themselves because the thing driving me was my vision and my goals, and I was willing to do whatever it takes. I should say I had a plan B, but my plan B was to achieve plan A, and I burned all my bridges, and I didn't care what I had to do.
I was going to do it. I was doing a lot of not the smartest things to do, but it was the smartest things to do with the knowledge I had at the time, and that's why I was doing things like picking up the phone and, you know, talking to people, and I would just keep going and keep going and keep going, and many days I forgot to shower, and I would smell, and my girlfriend at the time, now my wife, would have to, like, kind of pull me aside and say, you need to go in the shower. Sometimes I'd forget to eat because eating wasn't important. You know what I mean? I mean, it obviously is, but I wasn't thinking about it, and I think all successful people probably have experienced what I just described.
Oh, everyone has, and I think we should talk about it more, to be honest with you. We used to have this product, and it's still there as a bonus when people buy it. It's just people don't know where to access it generally, but it's in the master's course, right, where we talk about this in the master's course in one of the first modules, right, as phase one of your business. We call it the grind, right, and I think that we need to be more honest about that and just talk about it more, and sometimes the reason I think we don't is because we get to a place where we legitimately don't have to do that anymore, and it's easy to forget it, right, because after that it's like you create so much momentum in such a short period of time that for the next two years you're just riding this wave of momentum that like this undyable will created in 90 days. When I first got in this industry, I was in a company called AMWay.
A lot of you guys have heard about it, and they used to say something, and I used to question it, okay. I used to question it. I don't question it now. Now I know that everything they told me was the truth, okay. Maybe they didn't reveal to me some of the things that they were doing, but like the things that they told me that were success principles in this industry were actually true, and I just was rejecting them at the time and unwilling to listen.
One of the things they used to say is it says it only takes 90 days to break through in this business, and I was like bull crap. I've been here for two years, but they weren't talking about 90 days where you operate like I had operated for that two years, right. You might be in Empower Network, and you might be like that's nonsense. I've been in Empower Network for six months. I've been in Empower Network for four years, right.
I've not had that breakthrough that fast. You know what? I'm not talking about the way you're working. I'm talking about the way Justin Varengia worked. I'm talking about the way Aaron Rashkin worked when he broke through.
I'm talking about the way I worked when I broke through, which is all day and night, right. You're like an animal, you know, and he talks about forgetting to eat, right. I still go through phases, Justin, where I don't do it too often, but maybe twice a year I go through some phase like that where I work like usually, you know, like for a month or two, like crazy, right. And whenever I get in a mode like that, I'll create momentum from one month that lasts two years, right. It's unbelievable what you can create in a short time if you're willing to do whatever it takes.
I remember this old audio that I was listening to. It was a guy named Dave Shores. He was my upline in Amway, right. And I just remember the audio actually because of his stories in it and because of the name. And the name was Doing Whatever It Takes, right.
Doing Whatever It Takes. When we get over the ego and we get over the way that it should be, the right way to do it, and we just drop it all and we say, I'm not going to just do what I think is best. I'm not just going to do what is in my head and in my pride and in my ego. I'm going to do whatever it takes. If I need to work, I'm going to work.
If I need to sleep less, I'm going to sleep less. If I need to go out there and write blog posts all day until I'm so tired my brain is just fried and I pass out and I wake up the next day, you know what? I can handle it. I'm not going to die. If you're willing to do that, guys, and you're willing to just lay it on, you will be amazed at what you can create in a three-month window.
Three months is all it takes. But if you're going to continue being lazy and prideful and not listening, then it's going to take you a long time. And you can create a really great business part-time. It's just you're not going to hit diamond until you really lay it on. Ask Lawrence Tan.
Now, Lawrence Tan is one of the best examples of this ever, because he got in Power Network part-time. And he came down to my house originally for the Costa Rica Mastermind intensive product, which now is also a bonus if you buy the top producer formula in some of our funnels, and you can access in the all products area. And, you know, I had to encourage his spirits. And he said he – I was like, well, you're about to quit. Like, why?
Right? And he hung his head down, and he looked just – this sadness came on him. I started laughing. Right? Not because, like, it was funny.
Right? It was because I thought the reason why he was going to quit was so ridiculous. Right? It's like, you don't believe it's possible. I was like, dude, look at me.
Look at me. Look how much smarter you are than me. You know what I mean? Look how much more talented you are. You know, some people, they get in this, and it's like they complain on why they can't do it.
And I'm like, look at you. Look how talented you are. Look how smart you are. Look how well you can speak and articulate yourself. Look how convincing you are when you're telling me why you want to quit.
You can sell, man. You know what I mean? Some people, they're like, I can't sell. Here's why. And they spend 30 minutes selling you.
You know? And I'm like, listen to yourself. You're fucking awesome, man. You know what I mean? Let's just stop making excuses for this bullshit.
You know what I'm saying? And so he comes down, and, like, I start laughing. He's like, what? I think that interrupted his pattern. You know what I mean?
I have a habit of doing that. It's called a pattern interrupt. It's actually a strategy. You know? And so here's the thing.
You see him teaching in that product, and you don't know he's about to quit because he had already changed. He had already changed. Look at his energy in that product. Three months later, we start in Power Networking, October of 2011, October 31st, Halloween Day. Great, great, great, great, great, funny day to start.
And first 30 days in, when the commissions start rolling, $45,000. Okay? From pre-launch two weeks before, you know, to the end of November, $45,000. See our income disclosure. Lawrence is not you, right?
We're now a little under $45,000. He's right around. I don't remember the exact number. So here's the thing. He was part-time.
But if you ever get the chance, I want you to ask him how many hours was that part-time 45 days. And you know what you're going to find? You are going to find the truth is that guy wasn't getting sleep. He was working so hard. Not forever.
Not for time in all eternity. Right? Not until now. But for 45 days, you better believe. You better believe he was willing.
He was just working all day and night in a storm of momentum. He got caught up in the spirit of building, in the spirit of momentum. And truthfully, it's so fun building like that. There's another saying I heard a long time ago, and it used to make me mad. But it's true.
It's like all those things I used to hear, they're true. Right? I'm like, why didn't I listen? Right? And this is what my mentor used to say to me in that first company.
They'd say, Dave, I'd be discouraged. And they'd say, Dave, what's going on? I'd say, man, I'm working. And they'd say, you know what, Dave, you need to work harder because it's easier to build this fast than it is to build it slow. And I didn't know what they meant until I was building fast in 2011.
And I got caught up in the excitement of picking up the phone and closing person after person after person after person. You know, in the top producer formula, one of our products, and if you don't have it, you can click on it and buy it in the back office. You know, I close people live. And I use those strategies that's in that product, guys, for about two years straight, I closed about four people a day out of four phone calls. I didn't have a phone.
I was actually calling them through Skype and scheduled appointments. I set up the process I teach in that product. And, guys, I would get on a call and close someone, keep them on the phone, call the next person, close that person, keep those two on the phone, call the next person, keep those three on the phone, close the next person. As those first four were listening, sometimes I'd close a fifth, right? And I used to get 95 out of 100 people to join.
And truthfully, it was probably more like 98. It was literally one time I went two months, four appointments a day, six days a week, two months straight without a single person telling me no. And that last person, they actually tried to join, and their credit card didn't go through. So I eventually ended up hanging up the phone while they were trying to join. Two months straight, four phone calls a day, $500 buy-in, right?
How would you like to live like that? That's fun, okay? That is not boring. It's not unexciting, right? And then you get to a space where all of a sudden you can manage what you're doing in a couple of hours, right?
But you've got to learn, you've got to be willing to go through the whatever-it-takes part first. Because some of you, here's the thing, it's like when the student's ready, the teacher appears. Some of you are not actually exerting enough energy to get the right teachers to produce the goals that you want. Go ahead and do your one-hour-a-day, two-hour-a-day type thing forever and let it play out and kind of learn as you go and learn as you go and learn as you go and build momentum, and that's fine. You can do that, too.
But if you want to go do something, like, outlandish and way above average, okay, and you want to see how above average it is, look at our income disclosure. It's a great place to find average, right? But if you want to do something outlandish, right, if you want to do something ridiculous, if you want to step into some big vision, okay, then you've got to be willing to do whatever it takes, especially if you're broke. You know, sometimes I get on the phone with people or something like that or I see somebody in person in a van or something like that, and they're like, just tell me what to do, and I'll do it. And you know what they're doing?
They're doing this thing where they're looking for some sort of, like, shortcut to the shortcut. You know what I mean? They're looking for, like, a wormhole to cut through space-time to the time in the future when they actually work their ass off so they can just skip past it and go step into that person, right? And it's like, come on, man. Come on, woman.
Women don't tend to do this, actually. Women are not as lazy as men generally, you know. But a lot of men do this all the time because they're like, okay, I see this big house you're in at the top of the mountain. You must be so lazy in there. It's like, well, I can be lazy when I want to because I work my ass off, dude.
You know what I'm saying? Like, I work my ass off. And when I go through a phase where I'm building, I do that, and I'm willing to do whatever to get something to the next level. But the beautiful part is you don't have to carry on with that exuberant energy forever, right? There's this word, and I remember the name just now so I want to share it.
It's for, like, hyper growth, right? And it's called irrational exuberance, right? When, you know, when a company hits a certain space and, like, enough people are excited and, like, it's kind of frenzy, it hits this kind of hyper growth where it just grows like crazy. And the truth is, if you've ever been around anything like that, it's the best two words for it you can possibly describe. It's irrational and it's exuberant.
You can't really explain why people are working so hard. They can't really explain why they're working so hard. And everybody is just kind of caught up in this wave of prosperity as they're humble, as they're working hard, as they're putting their energy and their heart and their soul in being willing to do whatever it takes to get to the next level. It's like riding a wave of prosperity, and it's so much fun. It's not like you're not swimming.
Here's the difference, right? It's not like you're not exerting your muscles, right? Have you ever tried to swim against a riptide, or have you ever tried to swim upstream, right? Some of you who are swimmers have actually done it successfully, right, where you swim upstream just to train yourself in a cold river or something like that. Well, if you can swim real good, and only if you can swim real good, because I don't want anybody's life to be in danger here, make sure you've got, like, a lifeguard with you or something like that, and try it.
Try swimming upstream, okay, in a nice, safe place. But just try going upstream, and then go 100 yards and check how much energy you have to exert to move 100 yards, right? But then go downstream a kilometer and see how much energy it takes to go downstream a kilometer. You just lay on your back and float downstream. You don't have to do much, right?
So here's what the kind of work is that you need to put in when you really want to have a breakthrough. And I just – hey, guys, are you okay if I'm just honest with you tonight, if I just cut the bullshit, if I stop, like, if I stop with this nonsense, right, as you're buying, you know that you – hey, this is real. Is it okay if I just tell you, hey, this is a real business, right? Is that cool at all? Yes, it's just – this information here is the shit, is what it is, because you're going to avoid the bullshit, which is the never-ending cycle of buying shit for the secret, right?
You want to know a way to drive yourself into poverty, and then maybe you'll break and listen, okay? A way to drive yourself into poverty is go buy every fucking guru's shit, selling stuff about stuff they don't do, out there, right, and see what happens in your life as a result on your credit card bill, right? It's a great freaking way to drive yourself into poverty. Look, I'm not a big fan of somebody buying every damned system and every damned course that exists out there in the marketplace to try to find an answer that lets them avoid doing what they need to do to succeed in their business. I'm not a fan.
I'm not a fan of bullshit. I'm not a fan of people selling stuff to my people that aren't doing what my people are doing and saying I'll help you when they ain't never done it. So if you want to avoid that, let me just tell you the truth here for a second. Maybe you can avoid some bullshit. The truth is it's all bullshit and you need to work, right?
And there's some skills you need. Yes, you need the strategies, but if you ain't willing to put in the hours and the energy, and it's more about the energy than the hours, right? Because here's what I find. It's like faith energy. There's this old scripture in James, right, and it's great.
It says you believe in God, you do well. The devils, they also believe and they tremble. Faith without works is dead being alone. A lot of people, they watch The Secret and they want to fucking sit around and imagine a Ferrari driving into their driveway and think somebody's going to actually do it. That's called faith without works, my friends, right?
That's called imagining without doing, which is vain imagination. It's hallucinations is what it is. That's not what we're talking about when we're saying write your goals. Write down your goals and stare at them into existence. Write down your goals and work them into existence.
Speak them into existence. Make videos to make your goals come into existence. Write blog posts to make your goals come into existence. Do paid marketing to make your goals come into existence. Being willing to close your new members into higher-priced products to make your goals come into existence.
Get your ass on a Generation Hero event and be willing not just to listen, but to do what we teach you to do in there to make your goals come into existence. Does that make sense to you? The Quakers used to have a saying, and it would say, pray as you walk. Pray as you walk. Don't just sit there and ask God to do something for you and then say, you do it all.
There's a middle ground there. So yeah, you got to exert faith, but there's something, there's like that faith energy you're exerting and speaking when you work. Yes, you ask him. Guys, I have never popped on a call and asked Justin how hard he worked, ever, but just now. Why?
Because I knew. He's like, well, how did you know that? Can you read his mind? Is that the secret? You know what I'm saying?
It's like, no, I knew because I did it. And I've never ran into an exception to that story, ever. Not one single time have I ran into an exception of what I just heard described from Justin. You talk to anybody who got to the top, they say, yeah, I did get to a place where I could manage my business two to four hours a day, or maybe one to two hours a day if they're really good at managing time, right? And you say, okay, what'd you do before that?
And you say, oh, I worked so hard I couldn't eat. I couldn't eat, not because I didn't want to, but because I had no time to put down the phone, some people would say, that were built in old school, right? I had the phone in my hand for 18 hours a day straight for a couple of months till I got my business off the ground, and I just couldn't, I couldn't, I couldn't put it down long enough to grab a hot dog, you know what I mean? You'll hear stuff like that. You'll hear people on the internet say, you know what, it wasn't like this forever, but for 18 hours a day, 20 hours a day sometimes with no sleep for three months straight, I was making videos, I was writing blog posts, I was doing backlinks, I was on Facebook engaging people, I was talking to people on Facebook.
When people got in the email, I was contacting them on Facebook, closing them for about three, four months. I just got lost in the energy. And they'll even tell you every single time, I can't even remember all the stuff that I did. Watch. Hey, Justin, do you remember all the stuff you did in that three-month period after you almost drowned?
No. Yeah, right? You'd have to go back and look at some of it to even figure it out, you know what I mean? To go look at your backlinks and to go look at your old marketing, some of which is down now and you could never figure out even where it was because you can't remember. Because you're doing so much, you forget about this crap like, oh, I just want the secret because you're doing so much and producing so much, you get lost in the production rather than the wondering.
Right? It's a great thing to do with that energy. You know, a lot of people are like, they're putting all their energy into searching for something that they already have inside, right? And if all that energy that they're using for searching becomes translated into doing, all of a sudden, what they're creating comes from what they're doing, which turns into the miraculous. I had a friend who has said to me many times, he says, Dave, I have never met somebody that appears to be in the right place at the right time all the time like you do.
Even when you think you're not. Even when you think you're not. You know? And that's true. Every time I'm frustrated and every time something bad happens, I look back years later and I say, man, I'm thankful.
Man, I'm thankful I got that person out of my life. They were a disaster. Right? They were a disaster. Right?
Sometimes it's like somebody quits your team or, you know, somebody bad mouths you or they do something like that and you're frustrated by it because you love them. Right? And then you look back a couple of years later and you're like, you know what, I learned a lesson from that, that I changed something and it turned my whole business around because that happened because that was my line and I decided to change. You know what I mean? Sometimes it's like, you know, you have stuff happen and it's bad.
And you get lost in it. Not asking yourself, what was the lesson that I could learn to change things? But if you ask that question, you'll learn a lesson that will change everything and change your attitude most importantly because I like to have the belief that all things work together for my good, which includes the things that are bad. That's a different attitude, isn't it? You know, sometimes I look at the things that have happened in my life and I'm just like, I hear this Justin stuff, man.
I'm tearing up in the background listening to him and listening to George Breyer and the transformations that have been in their life and I say, what would have happened if I hadn't worked my ass off for 90 days in the beginning? What would have happened if I hadn't been willing to do whatever it took to succeed? What would have happened if I hadn't put all my energy and all my soul and all my talent and all my thought power into one thing long enough to see it through? What would have happened if people would have quit? Right?
I wouldn't have these breakthroughs. These people wouldn't be alive. These people wouldn't have earned a million dollars. You know what I mean? Our lives are long for a reason sometimes and you're here and you're on this page or you're dialed into the call and you're saying, I wonder what I need to do.
Wondering is a great place to be, but it's a poor place to finish. What you need to do is take action. You need to get your tickets to Generation Hero. Go watch the sales video on the page, you know, if you want to. Or you could just go buy your tickets and skip over it and listen and enjoy the listening.
Right? You could decide that you're going to do what comes into your life as opportunity every time immediately as it appears. When opportunity appears, you take action on it. When a new strategy appears, you take action on it. That's what leaders do.
Right? It's not about, guys, this is not about like jumping from deal to deal when I'm saying do that. Sometimes it's like somebody hits you up on Facebook, they're like, hey, I'm looking at what you're doing and you just, you know, your heart's a little hard and closed and you don't remember how you used to be, so you don't get back to them. And that person could sponsor a person who sponsors a person who sponsors a person that brings in a million-dollar earner if you just get them started right. You never know what's going to happen with somebody, not ever.
Right? You know what the best kind of messages are ever to receive on Facebook is the messages of a broken man or a woman. Who's at the bottom, willing to do anything. Best kind of messages a leader could ever receive. Right?
Because that's when people change. I know it. I know that's when people change. People sometimes have to be broken to change. You've got to throw the nut against the ground hard enough, it has to smash the bottom with enough force to crack.
And the universe does that to us if we don't actively keep ourselves humble, if we don't actively keep ourselves in learning mode, in passion mode, in vision mode, in dreaming mode, being willing to dream like a child, being willing to play in the activities in your business all day, writing blog posts, playing, connecting with people all day if you have to. Right? And I ain't saying to neglect your family life or do anything like that. What I am saying, though, is just be honest about what it takes. And be willing to do whatever it takes to have your breaks.
Be willing to do whatever it takes to have your breakthrough. Be willing to receive instruction and correction in order to have your breakthrough. Be willing to listen and to apply in order to have your breakthrough. Be willing to take action in order to have your breakthrough. Be willing to buy your tickets in order to get your breakthrough.
Be willing to join Empower Network in order to get your breakthrough. Be willing to follow the eight core steps in order to get your breakthrough. Be willing to go all in and to pull out your credit card and buy. Be willing to go in and buy the top producer formula to hear me closing people live. Be willing to learn how to build teams.
Be willing to send an email out at midnight and also right when you wake up in the morning. I used to wake up in the morning, right, and I'd get out of bed, drink a coffee, and turn on my video camera and make my video for the day, right? And then I'd be making videos and I'd be blogging all day until I passed out. And you know what? Sometimes I did that even when I didn't need to.
Not all the time. But years later I'd go through a phase where I'd do that just because I was filled with so much passion as I was staring out into the mountains. And today I'm standing actually right now in front of my big old swimming pool and it looks out over the city of Escazoo, Oretia, and San Jose. Justin Berenji knows where those places are because he lived in Costa Rica. Probably though since he doesn't have a very good sense of direction, probably he knows better.
But I'm standing here and I'm looking out. Exactly. Yeah, you're like me, right? And so I'm sitting here and I'm staring out over this city and it's filled with lights. You know what I mean?
And all those lights have people sitting underneath them. You know what I mean? And all those people, they have dreams, they have hopes, they have desires. They want something bigger in the future. They want to step into something greater.
They want to change. They want, they want, they want so desperately for a better life. But nobody's reaching out to them because their time's not right yet. The question is, is who have you been neglecting in your life? What leads have you been neglecting?
What marketing have you been neglecting, right? What haven't you done that you've known you could have done? Not what's the secret, but what could have you already done that you haven't done yet? What could you be doing right now? Did you post a link to this call on your Facebook page?
I used to be on a call and I'd be talking to people on Facebook, closing them, and sometimes I'd have to mute out the call line to call somebody back who, you know, had just joined and upgrade them to the next product, right? I was there to build my business, not just to learn. That's a beautiful place to be, my friends. We're stepping into a new wave of prosperity. It's like a new wave of vision is running through in Power Network right now.
You hear it in the leaders' voices. You hear it in the fire that's coming from their voice, where they're not talking about old stories anymore. They're talking about new stuff that's happening. They're talking about how their incomes are going up. They're talking about how their business is changing.
They're talking about how we're stepping into what we have is special. Sometimes what we don't realize when we're in the middle of getting really blessed for the first time is how special that really is and how thankful we should really be for that opportunity.
