Hey, what's going on guys policy Q here Cassandra Lee and together. We are the power couple man Welcome to the inner circle man excited to bring you another inner circle here holla Today's topic right we're talking about specifically Follow-up is a sign of prosperity Now the reason why I wanted to share this with you is because there's a lot of deceptions out there about the word Follow-up, did you know that 95% of the sales that you make will be done in the follow-up BAM? You know follow-up is so crucial. It is so powerful It is what allows you to really quantify the growth of your business It's in the follow-up in the follow-up. I mean The follow-up is how you really get just about anything and anything that you want is through follow-up, right?
So what's the reason why we want to bring this topic of work? Why do we want to bring it to your attention? well, because when we got started honestly, you know, I used to look at follow-up as a sign of Desperation like oh my god, you're so desperate for the sale Like, you know just if they don't want it just you know People should just naturally come to you and buy from you right like don't chase people for the sale But you know what? Why not chase people for the sale? I mean, it's one thing to be the hunted right?
But once they came for you close them Yeah, close them. Don't let them just come for you and then have them ask the questions or you know How do I get started and then and then if they want to join then they join, you know What if they came to you they actually already want to buy you actually already finished half the clothes exactly You know what I'm saying? There's a difference and we want you to understand that You know, we when we first got started we would teach, you know, you know be the hunted and yeah, that was great But what we didn't teach was the follow-up either, you know Cuz we thought after you're hunted if they don't buy then they don't really want it When really if they actually hunted you the likelihood of them buying is a lot higher And so why not get them to close immediately close them fast exactly. Why not close them, right? Why not close the people right?
So check this out. This is actually really funny, right? But you know, I used to think I used to think this way believe it or not I used to think that you know, maybe I shouldn't keep following up with people, right? You know, sometimes people forget, you know when people forget, what do you do? I mean, do you stop following up with them?
You know because people are gonna people are gonna buy your product whether it's gonna be with you or with somebody else, right? But wouldn't it be better if they buy it from you? That would be a lot better. Wouldn't it? Right, you know, sometimes a lot of people like my wife said there's like a misconcept like a misdeception conception that or whatever the session I don't think you're making sense But there's like a deception that a lot of people think that well I don't want to follow up that hard because they don't want to feel like they're being naggy that they're being you know A nuisance or being annoying when really hey, man, you know Everything that you really want comes from the follow-up.
I mean think about it. Okay, think about let's say Let's say a billing company owes you money. Okay, just let's say let's say you want a refund for something and you didn't get it in a timely manner How are you gonna get what you want the consistent constant fault, where's my money? Hey, I called last week You guys said the money would come through to my bank account this day this time and it's not there I want to know why you know You've promised me right you think about all these different things and you eventually get what you want. Sometimes you get more I mean think about when you're a waiter, right or you're at a restaurant and the waiter doesn't bring you In fact this happened to me we went out to eat and I ordered an appetizer my appetizer never came out In fact, the main entree came out and I was like, hey, I never got my appetizer And so when they brought it back, you think I didn't really have to do too much follow-up But then they gave it to me for free Why well because they didn't give me the service I was looking for and I fought for that.
You see what I'm saying? It's so powerful. You literally get what you want. Most of the time when you follow up Follow up the cool thing about this business is that we teach you how to position yourself to get people to chase you But once they have once they once they became a lead guys That is when the follow-up begins once somebody gives you their information says I'm interested. I want to learn more That's when the follow-up actually begins and you can't you can't go weary of it follow-up is a sign of Prosperity right and the cool thing, you know since we since everyone on here, you know A lot of you guys are taking your business online The cool thing about it is that you can actually do your follow-up very man, you know, very automatic through your phone I'm gonna say very manly.
Yeah, no, no, you can actually do a very Automatic, you know simply by having an autoresponder and just creating follow-up messages and sequences that pretty much do the following up with you Which is the beautiful thing about an online business and just automating your business through the internet, right now for those who don't have an autoresponder Well, I mean, you know, what's the reason why you're online, right? It's kind of like to automate your business. So you should go ahead and get an autoresponder. You haven't done so yet You know, there's many great ones out there and you can just google it, right? But the truth is, you know, if you're not creating follow-up messages if you're not following up with people You're not going after them and you're not, you know, reminding that they need to buy from you, you know, then you know Then I mean you're doing a disservice not just to that to yourself but to them as well I mean think about it, you know people have a million things that go throughout their day Sometimes they forget right and you know what if they have made a commitment to own your product and be and buy from you or Buy whatever they were looking to buy from you, right?
The truth is at the end of the day, you know, you have to make sure you get that person to fulfill their commitment I mean think about it. It's your duty to do that I mean how many times does this person probably do this, right? Probably never commits to anything probably never makes a fool decision probably never pack backs up his word, you know Don't you think it's just the right? natural thing that you should do if you really want to help this person out is to get them to commit get them to keep Your word and get them to buy your product because if you're confident in your product Then the follow-up becomes a duty and an obligation To help them succeed and not so much from a perspective of you being naggy you being desperate, right? I mean, that's our that's what we take.
I mean, that's how we look at it, right? Absolutely, man This is so important man. So you think of different ways of following up? Okay What is an effective because there is a way to do it where it is annoying, you know and naggy But there is a follow-up process that allows you to actually get the point across and get the clothes I mean follow-up is only worth it right worth it if you're actually gonna get the clothes, you know But the cool thing about it is that most follow-ups lead into a close, you know So what's one positive way of follow-up? How would you follow up with somebody?
What's one way that you can teach somebody out here babe to follow up? Effectively well, you know if you don't want to follow up with people or whatever Maybe you're not into the whole following up then, you know, just close the sale right then in there. This is a good close It's called the never give up clothes, right? And by the way, this is stuff that you know, I don't have haven't made up I haven't came up with this is something I just educate myself every single day and it goes something like this like they say no I don't know if I want to do this right now and you say something Well, I'm not gonna give up on you know I'm gonna continue to keep following up with you until you do this because I believe that the pride believe in the product I believe that you need the product and you're probably gonna go out and get it from somewhere else So why not get it from me? I'm gonna follow I'm gonna continue to follow up with you until you do this because I'm not giving up on you and you Can actually close someone like that, right?
But there's effective ways to follow up with people right and one of the best ways to do it is through your blog now Why is it and why is that because you know, you can literally email your subscribers back to the same pitch But it's not even gonna look like that because when they go on your blog if you're blogging valuable stuff you're giving value It is never right. It's never gonna feel the same, but they're going back to the same hub They're going back to the same page They're going back to the page with the banners and if they put their information it leads them back to your business It leads them back to the sales video leads them back to whatever offer you're buying So that's a very effective ways They're blogging and then just creating content fresh content Every single day and it seems to them like you're just it doesn't seem like the same thing over and over Yeah, it's kind of like you're still pitching them, but it's always new information and new value Yes, see now this is that was a great tip. Okay, I was gonna say basically value, you know Follow-up can be done by just giving value like hey, okay, so maybe you didn't want to buy yet Okay, maybe you weren't ready to buy or you know, maybe they just need to hear it from a different angle right, and so you teach them different things that they still need and slowly lure them back in because sometimes you have to know the difference between somebody who wants to buy and Somebody who's actually ready to buy and some of these people want to buy but maybe they just want to get to know you more They want to really feel like they like know and trust you and in that case in that scenario You got to show them the same opportunity of purchasing but through different ways So you lead with massive value different angles all the time I mean, you know our follow-ups are done so strategically because we know hey if they didn't buy the first time What could we have taught differently said something differently to allow a better outcome of buying? That's you know, those are all the different things. So it's really crucial Yeah, I mean, I totally agree.
I mean It's I couldn't I couldn't agree with you more on that and that perspective. So I mean, I mean, yeah I mean, it's totally true. I mean you can do you can do it so many different ways To be more effective and of course just through giving value until they buy from you, right? You know One of the things that we learned from a great leader is you know Turn every training into a patient every pitch into a training, right? And I mean, that's really what you want to do in essence It's just constantly bringing them back to the training or to your blog and of course always there You know always get them back into the sales page or get them back into buying your offer again Just they're giving value.
So what are some ways of Understanding or positioning yourself to follow up effectively Well when you first get started with somebody who's a leader a prospect that really important that you even that you know Why they're even there in the first place. Why did they become a lead? Why were they curious of learning more from you? Okay when you understand the why they're there you can piggyback off of that and Continue to evolve that training or whatever is that the therefore the second thing is let's say you actually get closer with them Where you actually had a conversation or maybe they filled out a survey you want to know their goals You want to know why they're there? Like what was the reason they wanted to learn that?
Why did they come to you? Was it was it to reach a certain level in business in life? Whatever it is when you have those answers you can then evolve the different kinds of training that you want to teach them But then you can also remind them. Hey you came to me you came to me because you wanted X Y & Z I could still get X Y & Z for you I can show you how to get yourself or position yourself to receive X Y & Z However, you have to make the decision right you have to make the decision when you when you find out those answers You're able to talk that way whether it's through a video whether it's through email whether it's through blogging You know or throw an actual phone call, right? Another good way of following up as Incentives.
Hey, I'll get on a one-on-one call with you. If you have any questions, maybe they just want more answers You know, maybe they're just not sure of what it is. They're actually buying so you incentivize You know the purchase now I'm not saying hey if you buy this, I'll give you a book, you know I mean, I'm not saying to do that What I'm saying is this is hey if you if you're unsure or if you have any questions I'll get on a 10 to 15 minute call with you know, so you throw them what they're looking for Okay, or maybe they have comments or maybe they want to get a clear understanding on how it actually works And so you create a little video before they actually buy things like that again It kind of all leads back and stems from the same thing value right leading with value. Absolutely, you know That's a great point that you make and you know This is gonna cost you a lot of money if you don't understand this right now in your business, right? I mean get rid of that crap of being annoying just get rid of it.
Yeah, I mean look listen, you know It's a what would you rather be the person not thinking of you at all? Would you rather the person thinking about you right even if they are thinking of you as annoying guess what? You know what that type of that type of perseverance and that type of energy that you're putting forth into your business It's eventually gonna pay you off. You know why because really what you need to succeed in business is perseverance, right? So whether you come out as annoying and someone that doesn't buy from you now that person's gonna remember you and they're gonna remember you Is that annoying person and then when you start succeeding you start making money you start hitting the leaderboards people start recognizing people?
You start creating a following guess what that person's gonna say damn that annoying person actually succeeded Right and guess what? They're gonna remember you as an annoying person but now someone who actually makes money someone who's succeeding and They might even come back and ask for another opportunity to join your business I mean this has happened, you know, this has happened to us actually, you know I mean, this is something that totally can happen I mean we have we've had people who've said no to us and then all of a sudden we start succeeding They come back and they join our business, right? So I mean, you know, this is important. It's important to follow through, right? It's important for you to do these things because it's a sign of prosperity.
I mean just think about this, right? I mean just think about this for a second Think about it If you spend time with someone and you don't follow up with them, it's a waste of time You wait like your time. It was a waste of time It's oh, it's a it's only a waste of time when you never follow back because think about it You're spending all this time and then you never even come to a conclusion Right, it didn't lead and it never ended it didn't even end to them saying no. I don't want to do this Leave me alone. It just got left in the air I mean, you know, it's kind of like when you have get into arguments with your spouse Or maybe you get into arguments with your family right or whatever the case is, you know When arguments are not resolved in there, you know, the problem is just a problem.
I mean, can you really move forward? I mean, there's like this tension. There's like this awkwardness, right? Nothing gets resolved therefore it gets left up in the air Right, and then you come up with your own conclusion and you might say well the person wasn't interested in even buying and that might Not even be the case the person just probably needed more time. The person probably forgot right the person forgot But since you never follow through they bought a product from someone else Right who's probably product is inferior to your product your product is probably it's probably even better But you know what their follow-through was better than yours, right?
So I mean look listen, this is important I mean, this is important to know. I mean, you don't give you an example. That's really powerful I mean, you know, one of the people that we look up to one of the people we follow right? Who's a multimillionaire? And you probably might you can take a guess of who it is, but I'm not gonna say their name All right, he actually okay.
He when he figured out who he wanted to marry Okay, he made a commitment that he was gonna he was gonna marry this woman Even when this one was not interested in him, okay, and guess what? He did he tried to go after he went after her should I say, okay and every single time she said no You're not my type. I'm not interested. You're too short. You're a business person Blah de blah de blah de right, etc, etc, etc Right and guess what?
He followed up with her Constantly for 13 months until they finally went on a date and he finally got her He finally got her after persevering for 13 months. He finally got the woman of his dreams, right? I mean talk about following through talk about following. I mean follow through should not just be Something that you take lightly just in your business but follow through should just be in your life and Everything when something doesn't get resolved. Here's what's gonna happen.
You're gonna think about it You're gonna think about the past which is gonna prevent you from thinking about what needs to take place right now Don't you think that? Your attention should be placed on things that are happening right now in your business versus things that you could have done or things that You haven't yet gotten done or that person a ship follow up with but you haven't yet Think about it for a second, right? Don't live in the past live right now live in the moment and I promise that the future is gonna look brighter, right? So I want you to think of how many different ways you can actually begin to start following up automated ways, right Manual ways like even when you're talking to people over the phone the moment that conversation ends You should be following up with them immediately. Oh, I look forward to our next call I look forward to seeing you again, right?
You need to write it down have an appointment book and Immediately put the next time you're gonna call that person in your appointment book In fact, if you set it up for a Wednesday call him Monday and Tuesday to remind them about Wednesday, right? You keep it you keep it in your appointment book You know, I think John Maxwell says show me your appointment book and I'll show you where you're going in life Right. I think that's crucial You know You want to make sure that you're writing it down because another thing is that a lot of people say they'll follow up but they End up never doing it because why they never write it down. They forgot they completely forgot, you know And if you want to see the success the level of success that you're looking for follow-up is crucial So whether you're doing it through your autoresponder, you need to have a follow-up system Completely strategize that if they say yes, where do they go if they say no How do you reorganize and structure the value you give to promote the same offer again if they say no to that? Then what different things can you teach to kind of indirectly resell them again if they say yes, finally What do you do to kind of get them to upgrade all these different things?
You got to actually think of your follow-up Machine your follow-up mechanism. Remember Follow-up is a sign of prosperity of the example of our good friend. Okay, our awesome leader You know this guy who's just a tremendous man great guy. His name is Aaron Raskin, right? He had a follow-up sequence, oh, yeah, yeah finally got a guy after five years.
Yeah, I forgot the amount of years I don't think I think those five years. It was a year or more right and this guy right? He really I thought Aaron put it on Facebook or something like that And he said, you know, this guy has been on his list for I don't know how many years and he finally Just finally made the decision to buy after a few even after an email. He had recently sent After seeing multiple emails right for years He finally decided to buy and he put that's the power of having a follow-up, right? That is the power of it.
See you see he has he has a whole follow-up series already put together Completely automated, you know that these people who are on his list are constantly receiving follow-up emails Directly from him and eventually One of the emails sold them in a way that he was ready to buy and entreat them to buying This is what you want to do guys. You want to set yourself up for success man set it up Look, this doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't have to feel annoying, but you got to plan it out You got to make it make it, you know Strategic so that way people are never left under chance, right? Your success isn't left on their chance. It's actually something you're intentionally fighting for and that's what follow-up is Follow-up is you?
intentionally fighting for your success and you know what shame on you and I mean shame on me because I used to think this way to For thinking that follow-up was some type of a nuisance, right? It is your duty. It is your Obligation to follow up with people because if they do not buy you don't know how what their life is gonna be like in five years, but if they do buy you have a lot more control in Influencing them in the direction of using the product or service you're selling that can benefit their life Why because it benefit yours it benefit yours and if you have that conviction about what we do here, you can say, man, no, you need this. Hey, I'm not letting you go. You need this.
Look, this is what it's done for my life. It can do that or more for yours, and you gotta use it. Go ahead, take it, take action on it. It is your obligation to follow up with people because they need the things that you have. Absolutely.
It's that powerful. All right, guys. Man, this is The Power Couple. Thank you for joining us. Take action, and we love you.
