From Chicago To Denver!

Hello, we are from New Zealand, my name is Jesse and my parents names are Leanne and Jason. My Dad is a mechanic by trade and my Mum used to work in heath and nutrition. This blog post is about our journey with Empower Network and our trip to the Chicago Get Money event!
Mum is now an Internet Marketer and Dad home schools me while we travel around the world. We have been traveling for 2 and a half years now. We have seen most of New Zealand, a good bit of Australia, spent some time in Hawaii and seen quite a bit of the USA so far. We have had lots of fun but about a year and a half ago we made some decisions in marketing that cost us a lot of money (and didn’t make any for us), at the same time we had some issues with tenants and our house in New Zealand which also cost a lot of money and to cut a long story short we ended up losing our house and we have been struggling to move forward since.
Mum found Empower Network on the 29th of October, 2012. She had been watching Kevin Knecht for awhile as they had been in a previous company together and when Kevin just disappeared from it, Mum started keeping an eye on him. Things had not been going great in the other company she was in but we are not people who give up and we were skeptical about Empower Network.
Mum did alot of research on Dave & Dave & the company and the leaders and even though she really liked the whole concept and felt that Empower Network was genuine, it wasn’t until the Chicago event that it was made real for all of us.
Mum wanted all of us to go to Chicago so Dad and I could see what it was all about and if I was interested in it for my future.
We didn’t make it to the event before Chicago because we failed to get the money together. This time we were determined to make it to the Chicago event. We borrowed money from family and we hired a car to drive from North Carolina (where we are staying with friends) to the Chicago event.
About half way to Chicago we went to get gas and found that we couldn’t as money we were expecting had not cleared so we ended up stranded in a little town called Chillecothe in Ohio. We spent the next 7 hours sleeping in the car and spending time in a park and at a library waiting for the money to clear. Mum was on the verge of selling her ring to a gold store to get money just so we could get moving.
We were using MacDonalds internet to check the bank online every so often. When the money came through we hit the road to Chicago, we got to our hotel and went to the first part of the event on the friday night which was EPIC!
My opinion on the Chicago event.
The Empower Network Chicago event blew my mind!
Listening to everybodys storys moved me and inspired me. I’m a 14 year old who doesn’t have alot of patience but this event had me focused the whole time! Listening to Dave and Dave and hearing where they came from and where they are now is very inspiring. I don’t want to be locked up in a cubicle all day working for peanuts and I don’t want my parents to have to go back to jobs and work their asses off for nothing either. This event was so awesome, I can’t wait for the next one in Denver!!
I didn’t know what to expect in Chicago, I just loved seeing the speakers come out and 5000 people cheering for him or her and thinking those are just ordinary people just like me and thinking I could be up there with my parents telling our story in Denver, and you know what? We will be!
