If you are looking to learn how to get traffic to your blog, you are in the right place!
I’m going to share with you some things you need to know.
1) Begin with the end in mind. What do you want the person reading your post to do at the end of it. Are you looking for a sale? Are you looking for an optin? What is it you want them to do.
2) The next thing you need to think about is what is your target customer googling or putting into search engines? What are their problems?
A free tool to use is Google Keyword Tool. you can use this to find out how many people are searching a particular phrase.
A couple of tips.
You want to tick the exact box, on the right hand side, rather than broad, you will then know the exact numbers of people searching that phrase rather than phrases that are similar.
Try and go for what is called long-tail keywords. An example of this would be instead of fitness and dieting you could go for something like fitness and dieting for single mothers or over 50′s. It narrows it down, but gives you a better chance of ranking on search engines.
3) Create content that people want to read. Something that will offer a solution to whatever their pain is, peak their interest.
It is important that you lead with good, helpful information rather than a sales pitch. Before you get a sale people want to know that you are knowledgeable about what you are talking about.
Remember that people have a lot of options on the internet, they want to know that you are the right one.

4) Now you need to publish your content. Either as a blog or an article submitted to an article directory such as ezinearticles.com
5). Promote the content. Use social media, you can use social marketing sites such as SocialAdr, they have both free and paid options. Don’t forget to send out links to your content to your list.
