I Think Back To December 2011 (Key Moment In My Life)

December 2011 was a very key moment in my life.
2011 was the worst year of my life.
In March, Kerry and I had a still-born son called Peter and then in September, 6 months minus a day, Kerry’s mum suddenly past away.
These tragedies were kind of icing on the cake for me as for 6 plus years I had been suffering with depression.
Most of the time I had managed it, I kinda got used to having it and most of the time I just got on with my life and going to work etc.
There were times when I couldn’t go to work; maybe a 3-4 weeks each year.
I say that I managed it, but often I used to go to bed and pray to God that he would kill me in my sleep. There were times that I pleaded with Him to end my life.
I remember one occasion waking up and being disappointed that I had woke up.
Up to this point in my life, I had refused to take medication as I felt like I deserved to feel crap about myself and in a weird way I ‘enjoyed’ it.
There were things that I didn’t like about my past and I felt ashamed of how I had behaved.
However, after Peter was stillborn, I decided that I should take medication.
Getting back to December 2011…
I decided that I was fed up of feeling fed up.
The best of my thinking had got me where I was and where I was wasn’t a good place.
I realised that if I carried on the way I was going I would eventually either actively take my own life by committing suicide or I would drink my self to an early death.
I knew that I had to get some fresh ideas into my mind.
So I hit Amazon and bought me a couple of books by Steven Chandler.
I then started to think what I wanted my future to be like.
I began to brainstorm and think what I wanted in my life.
This eventually led me to Empower Network. I wanted to make money online and saw that Empower Network could help me in my goals in life.
I don’t know if you relate to any of this.
If are suffering with depression my advice is to get some help.
Medication can be a part of the solution. For me it helped me get some balance chemically allowing me to start thinking about my future. Where as before I was on medication I couldn’t think in that way. All I could see before my medication was a negative future.
This is part of my story and how I got to where I am today.
I still have moments of depression – it is like a ghost of the past that comes to haunt me every now and then, but I ‘m a different person now.
I made a decision to become a different person, a better version of me, a version of me that every week gets closer to my potential.
My goal is to get as close to my potential in life as I possibly can and help others along their own personal journey.
