“How Can I Make My Blog Better?”

This all depends on what you mean by ‘better.’ This could mean you want more traffic, you want better conversions, you want more leads, you want it to look better, function better, you want better content, or many other things.
I will address this question of ‘How can I make my blog LEGIT?’ with more questions. By asking the right questions, you can get the right answers.
When you ask, “How can I make my blog better?” what comes to my mind is this:
What is your blog about?
When I was figuring out ways I can make my blog better, I asked this important question: What is my blog about?? My answer was: self development and internet marketing. So, with that being said, I figured out that there were quite a few ways I could make my blog better.
First off, I ‘branded’ myself. I put a picture of myself at the top of my blog. I also created a signature at the end of my blog with my picture and my name. Branding is great for just about anyone, but for me it’s even better because I am not selling products. I am actually selling myself. I am a testament to the fact that self development works and it worked for me. Therefore, it can work for you, too.
How long have you been blogging?
When you start out blogging, your time and effort is directed towards creating valuable content. You will generally also spend a lot of time on things like SEO, syndication, social networking, marketing, researching, and educating yourself. However, if you have been blogging for months or years, you come to know exactly what you want your blog to look like, function like, convert like, etc.
Based on your experience level, you can go about achieving your desired goal in different ways. I suggest modeling someone who has a blog that you really like. Preferably someone who has established a successful blog themselves.
What are your goals for your blog?
My goals to make my blog better were something along the lines of: Get more traffic… then worry about converting them into leads and sales later. Your goals may be entirely different. In fact, you may not even want to make money with your blog, but rather just share valuable content with others, create a name for yourself, or promote a cause. All of these are very good goals!
To make my blog get more traffic, all I need to do is create more valuable content. I also need to share this valuable content with as many people as possible. I encourage people to share my posts if they found them useful. I also must remain consistent in my blogging efforts. I can’t stop or give up at any point. I need to write at least 1 post a day to keep my traffic growing over time.
Who best models your ‘ideal’ blog?
To make my blog better, I found people that had what I would call my ‘ideal’ looking blog. I loved the way it looked, functioned, and produces leads and sales. This is important because without having at least someone to model, how can I know where I am going? If I don’t know what I need to do to make my blog look or function better, how can I progress?
If you can’t find anyone that models your ideal-looking blog. Simply envision what you want your blog to look like. Yes, I know… this takes some effort. But the nice thing is, once you envision it, you will feel like you have a direction and you will know where you want to go. I can say that I can make my blog better because I KNOW what I want my blog to be like. I know EXACTLY what I want to make my blog look like.
But Philip, I can’t make my blog bad ass…
Yes you CAN! It just takes time, dedication, passion, and purpose.
But if you honestly think that you can’t do it, just quit. Quit like you did all those other times and just go sit in the corner and cry. Heck, maybe blogging isn’t ‘your thing.’
Folks, the fact is that THERE ARE A MILLION EXCUSES NOT TO LIVE YOUR LIFE LIKE A BAD ASS but none of them are going to help you achieve your goals.
What you need to do is find REASONS WHY YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING. Look for reasons why versus excuses not to. This is a complete 180 in thinking and it does take time to develop this mindset, but trust me, its worth it.
