Now Even More States Wanting to Secede from the US?
Just yesterday, I wrote a quick post on the fact that there are many states wanting to secede from the US. As of yesterday, there were 19 states with petitions to leave the U.S.
One day later, the number of states wanting to secede from the US has more than doubled. As reported today by WND, the number of petitioning states has climbed to 40.
What the heck is going on?
Here’s a quick rundown of the States who have filed petitions to leave the US. Is yours one of the states wanting to secede from the US?
New Hampshire, Illinois, Idaho, Rhode Island, Virginia, Wisconsin, Alaska, Utah, Wyoming, California, Delaware, Nevada, Kansas, Ohio, South Dakota, West Virginia, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, Michigan, New York, Colorado, Oregon, New Jersey, North Dakota, Montana, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina, Alabama and Texas.
More and more states wanting to secede from the US…
Let’s be clear- A few thousand people signing a petition to secede doesn’t mean that state is going anywhere.
Secession isn’t that simple… and that’s a good thing.

Even More States Wanting to Secede…
Critics have scoffed at the states wanting to secede from the US, portraying the discussion as little more than Facebook fodder.
And they may be correct…
However, according to the White House, a petition only needs 25,000 signatures in order to get a response from DC.
Texas now has over 80,000 signatures.
Louisiana, the first state to file a petition, now has over 30,000 signatures.
Florida also has enough signatures to warrant a response.
All in all, there are over 533,000 signatures among the 40 states… with at least 3 states now waiting for an official responses from the White House.
More States Wanting to Secede? Fine, leave!
So says 10,000 other petition signers who have filed a petition of their own, asking the Federal Government to deport anyone who signed their name to a state petition.
*face-palm*
As I stated yesterday, it’s anyone guess as to what – if anything – will come from more states wanting to secede from the US.

The most fascinating aspect of all of this to me is the underlying message to the bureaucrats in DC, which is basically this…
We’re sick and tired of politicians bankrupting our nation and spending our children’s future into oblivion, fighting like teenage boys in the locker room and never getting anything accomplished. And that goes for both parties…
Where will this lead? Who knows?
But if the only thing it accomplishes is waking more people up to an understanding of the proper role of the power of the States in keeping the bloated federal government under control…
Then I say,
More power to the States, and power to the people…
