Daily Elevation – What’s on your dreamboard?
You have one, don’t you?
If not, here’s why you need to create one right now.
I wrote a post the other day about how your mind thinks in pictures.
For example, if I say the word “TIGER”, the picture that comes to mind is an image of a tiger… not a bunch of letters.

I’ve also written in the past about how your mind is like a guided missile.

It’s constantly seeking out a target to lock on to.

If you don’t give it a target, it will seek out one of it’s own and go after it… and more than likely you won’t like the result.
I have no idea why, but most people are content to be lazy and let their minds run in default mode.
The don’t work hard at controlling their thoughts… then they wonder why they never get the results they want.
It’s like throwing mud at the wall and hoping it doesn’t get dirty.
Here’s a quick, simple game-plan to keep from getting dirty.
Create Your Own Dreamboard…
You should know that the word “create” doesn’t mean “create something out of nothing”.
The word “create” means literally…
…to organize.
When you create a dreamboard… you’re basically organizing those random thoughts of yours – thoughts of success, your dreams, your hopes and aspirations – and giving your mind a target(s) to focus on.
And the cool part?
There’s no limits. That idea may take some getting used to… but trust me on this.
There are NO limits… other than your own imagination.
Here’s a simple plan I follow every day for just a few minutes every morning:
1) Spend a few minutes in prayer, meditation and reading inspirational books.
2) Open up my dreamboard on my laptop (I also have an app for it on my iphone), and add about 20-30 images that inspire me, motivate me…
Here’s mine. Click on it to take a look:

And you know what happens?
I find myself focusing on these images throughout the day… with very little effort.
See? I’ve given my mind a target… and let it go to work.
It’s amazing what happens.
The ideas flow, the “to-do” list gets done, the thoughts are focused…
…and the results come.
It’s an awesome feeling.
So, again, I ask you…
What’s on YOUR dreamboard?
What are you waiting for?
I repeat…
Your life is YOUR canvas.
But if you don’t start painting it, someone else will…
…and you may not like the result.
