You can’t do it! – Don’t you just hate it when someone tells you that!

I guess all of us have, at some point, been told ‘you can’t do it’.. Maybe by our parents, maybe by our friends, an un-supportive spouse…and the worst of all, by ourself.

The trouble is, it can lead to 2 different kinds of responses.

When you were told, as a kid, that you wouldn’t be able to do something, more often than not you probably put so much into proving that person wrong, that you went out and did it anyway.

But some will believe what they are told, and then start to believe it themselves. If someone tells you, you can’t do it…how do you respond?

The reason I am writing this post is two-fold.

a) I recently had a chat with someone on my list. They got in touch with me and said that they really wanted to join me in what I was doing, but did not think they could do it!

Their brain was telling them you can’t do it!

I found that kind of sad. But however hard I tried to explain that we were all new once, that person had already convinced themselves.

They are still opening my emails, but unless you have a little self-belief, and go into starting an online business with a positive can do attitude, it is going to be difficult for anyone to succeed.

Perhaps such thoughts stemmed from that person’s childhood. Often our parents views are responsible for our own, even at an unconscious level.

A lot of folk have a belief system that affects everything they do and prevents them from earning money, despite telling all and sundry that they need/want more. They think they can’t do it and that they don’t deserve it.

Why do you think you can’t do it?

One of the reasons people often feel that they can’t do it is a lack of previous success or accomplishment.

That is why I believe that by learning from the best, working with a great team and applying what you have learnt along with the support of others, is the best way to achieve that first success.

And once you have done that, and the self-belief starts to flow, you will gain in confidence.

You will see that you can do it.

when I first came on-line, I too had self-limiting beliefs. But now, after having some successes, I truly feel that I can do anything (within reason). I still can’t fly, or beat my wife in an argument.

Although technology is improving, so with assisstance, I may be able to fly one day

The below video to me shows that humankind can achieve anything that they put their mind to.

To me, this is one of the most amazing feats I have ever seen.

This guy must have nerves of steel, and almost unlimiting self belief. I am sure at times he thought I can’t do this! But when those thoughts crept into his hed, he beat them back and replaced them with a win at all costs mentality.

So the next time you feel you can’t do this, watch this video…and think again.

What I do is run a small online business. If you think you can’t do it, I am here to tell you that you can. But you have to believe it…really!

Everyone has to start somewhere.

There is a famous saying, whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right!

I completely believe this 100%. Mindset is so important and if you think you can’t do it, well you will not be a success.

that, of course, does not guarantee that if you think you can do it, you will succeed, but your chances are a damn sight higher. Of course you need to take action.

I hope you think you can do it as opposed to you can’t do it!
