Good evening, everyone. I just want to tell you that you have joined us on the Tuesday night Take Massive Action team call with Chris Record. And I want to say if you've come on the line, if you're not muted, you can state your name and where you're from. If you're not in a quiet place, don't do so. And make sure that, you know, Star 6 will unmute you when we have Q&A, and Star 6 will also remute your line.
So with that, I'd like to go ahead and get started and turn this over to our host this evening. Chris, are you on the line? I am on the line. Thanks for the awesome introduction. And today's Take Massive Action bonus call is going to be a lot of fun because it's going to be off the cuff.
We are going to do something a little bit interactive today, and here's how it's going to work. You know, as we build the business, we have questions. And most of us go to the Facebook group to ask those questions. And you know, we have an awesome community, so everybody gets answers, and we all help each other succeed. Well, today what we wanted to do was we wanted to experiment.
With the idea of doing some live Q&A right here with the team. And so here's how it's going to work. Currently, as you come onto the call, there's several people right now I can see coming onto the call. We just merged another conference line together. As you come onto the call, you're going to be default muted.
You're going to be on mute by default. So what I want you to do first is I want you to make sure that you're in a quiet place, and make sure that you don't have a bunch of background noise. And as long as you are, then at any given time, you can press star 6 on your phone, and it will unmute you. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to basically turn this call over to the team. And how it's going to work is I want you to come out, and I want you to ask me a question.
And what's cool is that it's going to be off the cuff, completely freestyle. We can talk about anything we want. So right now, I want you in your mind, I want you to think, hey look, what questions do I have for Chris Record? And I might even invite a couple other leaders on board. Like I know Hurricane Arthur said that he was going to be able to come on, and maybe answer some Q&A in just a minute.
So what I want to do is basically let you think, hey, what questions do I have that I could ask? And we're just going to make it just off the cuff, roll up our sleeves, totally transparent, no bad questions here. But of course, obviously, keep it business focused, keep it empower focused, or team take massive action focused. And let's just try to get some value out of this call. This is your chance to have your questions heard.
We want to make sure that we're always offering great Q&A support, and doing our best to serve and support the team. You simply need to press star 6, and come off mute. So at any given time starting now, if anybody has a question, it's just as simple as pressing star 6, coming off mute, and asking it. And if nobody comes out and asks questions, then I know for sure this unmuting the line business doesn't work. So what I want somebody to do is, whoever wants to start here, maybe I have to press something on my side.
Whoever wants to start, go ahead and be brave. Press star 6, unmute yourself, and come out, and ask a question. Maybe I have to do something. Who is this? Hey, Chris.
It's Trish Muehlstein in Orlando, Florida. Hey, Trish. Welcome to the call, and thanks for being brave, and coming out, and being the first person with a question. What do you have on your mind? I would like you to give us your elevator pitch when someone asks you, what is Empower Network?
Okay, my Chris Records elevator pitch when somebody asks, what is Empower Network? Now, first of all, let me say, I'd love to say this. I'd love to say that I have just one elevator pitch that I use on everybody, but that's not entirely true, and I believe in transparency. So what might work best for you is to have one pitch, you memorize it, and it's what you tell everybody. What works for me is tailoring the opportunity to meet somebody's needs.
So generally, what I'll do is quickly ask a couple of questions about somebody, or I'll make an educated guess about them, as to how could this business be presented to meet their needs. And then I'll give them an elevator pitch based on that. So for those of you listening, first, let's talk one thing first. What is an elevator pitch? The whole idea behind an elevator pitch is this.
If you were to step into an elevator with a potential business partner, or an investor, or something like that, and the door closes, you only have a brief amount of time to explain what your business is before the door opens again, and they have to get off the elevator and go to their floor. The term was originally coined, I'm pretty sure, back in the venture capital days when everybody was trying to raise money, and you'd get somebody's attention just for a second while they were in the elevator, and you'd have to be able to explain your business that brief and that short of a time. And the whole purpose of it is that it has to get their attention, and it has to engage them enough to be interested and say, hey, here's my card. I'd love to hear more about this. First of all, that's the background of an elevator pitch.
Now, how might you pitch? Empower network to somebody. So let's give a couple different scenarios. First of all, let me explain why I would make it different. If I'm pitching somebody who is maybe a mom who stays at home with children, and I might pitch to her something along the opportunity of how she can do this part-time, while handling kids, in between the craziness of life and kids and everything.
If it's somebody who maybe has their own small business, I may pitch this in a different way where I talk about how they can potentially generate leads for their small business, something completely different. The stay-at-home mom with kids might not be interested in generating leads for anything, but the real estate agent might be. So there's an example of just one example of how to differentiate it. And if somebody, for instance, is in another network marketing company, well, rather than try to recruit them out of the company and into something like this, I might instead pitch this in a way that this might be able to help their business. So first of all, that's the foundation of what an elevator pitch is, and how to tailor an elevator pitch to meet different niche markets.
So let's go through a couple of examples here. And again, this is off the cuff. None of this is pre-rehearsed, so you literally just asked me the question. So I'll give my best response given that it's just right off the cuff. So let's say that I'm dealing with somebody who is a stay-at-home mom.
I might say something like this. Empower Network gives people like yourself, stay-at-home moms, the opportunity that in between your busy schedule that you can write blog posts and get paid for writing blog posts. Is that something that you'd be interested in? So I might start with something like that. An elevator pitch, it's quick, it's short, it gets interest.
If I have a little bit more time, somebody — so if that stay-at-home mom asked me, well, what exactly is Empower Network? I might say something like — I might give that same pitch. Empower Network is the opportunity where you can have your own business working from home with the flexibility of working around your children's schedule. That's what I love about it. Now here's what you do.
You simply learn how to be able to write blog posts and share them on social media. We basically get as much traffic as we can, and then what happens is a certain amount of them start buying products and services, and you get paid a commission every single time. Now you might not get rich overnight. It's not one of those things. But that commission can add up.
Is that something that you'd be interested in? Now like I said, that's kind of off the cuff for me. And I'm not saying that I read a script so it wouldn't be exactly the same every single time, but that's an example. Now let's switch it over to maybe a real estate professional. Let's talk about a real estate agent.
And they go, well, what exactly is this Empower Network deal, Chris? How about I say something along the lines of this? Well, Empower Network is a way to be able to generate leads for your primary business. We teach what we call the three C's of online marketing. We teach realtors like yourself and other people how to create more traffic, how to capture more leads, and how to convert more sales.
So if you are interested in learning how to be able to drive more traffic to your website, get more leads, and make more money as a real estate agent, this is definitely something that you should check out. Okay, so I might use like — that's what I would call it. It's called the three C pitch, the three C pitch. We teach people how to create traffic, how to capture leads, and how to convert sales for their primary business. Now I might expand upon that a little bit.
An elevator ride, maybe we are in a high rise, and I have twice as much time. I might position it this way. Let's call this real estate agent, let's call her Cindy. I will say Cindy, Empower Network is a dual income opportunity. There are two ways to make money.
Option number one, you can get the education and we can teach you how to be able to create traffic for your business, how to create traffic to your website, how to capture more leads, and then how to convert those into sales. So if you are looking to have more success in your business, Empower Network can provide the training and resources to help you do that. That's one way you can make money. The second way is that if you really like what we are doing here, you can also be an affiliate with Empower Network, and you can help promote Empower Network. So if you know other agents that could benefit, or other loan officers, or people in other industries that are looking to generate more leads, you can offer them this system and get paid as much as 100% commission and referrals for marketing this to other people.
It's a dual income opportunity. You can use the education to make money yourself with your own business, or you can be an affiliate with Empower Network and make money directly from Empower Network, or do what I do which is both. So I might phrase it that way if I have a little bit more time. Position it as a dual income opportunity where they can promote their own business, or they can promote Empower Network, or both. And again, that's off the cuff.
So you can take that, morph it, change it, completely do it different, however you want. And maybe the last example that I will give is maybe somebody in another network marketing company, because I brought that up a minute ago. I might say something along the lines of, and let's leave out company names. Let's just call it XYZ Company, and who cares what they sell. So I am talking with a friend, they are a rep, and they are an XYZ Company.
I might say something along the lines of, and let's call this person Jim. I might say, well Jim, you are still an XYZ Company, right? Right, okay. So listen, what if I could show you a way to be able to generate 400 to 500 high quality leads for that business for free online? Is that something you would be interested in?
And if they said yes, awesome. Let me get your information. I am going to send you over a video that one of my business partners, Chris Record did. It is awesome, and it will show you exactly how to do that. I think you are going to love it.
Now that is kind of a teaser approach. I don't know if I would call that a pitch. That is more of a teaser. Here is how it would look like if it was more of a pitch. I would say, Jim, you are still with XYZ Company, right?
Well listen, here is how Empower Network can help you. At Empower Network, we teach network marketers like yourself how to be able to get more leads online, both free and paid advertising, whatever you want, how to be able to get those leads and promote your business to them. And here is what is cool. We focus on automated systems. So instead of manually hiring people, we focus on automated systems.
So instead of manually having to follow up with everybody, which you can still do, we will show you how to be able to set up an email campaign so that every single day you are dripping on people every single day over and over and over about your business. And we can show you how to set it up. We can show you how to generate the leads. We can show you how to put it on autopilot. Now I am not saying to change everything you are doing, but this is something that you can experiment with on the side and see if it is a good fit for you and your business.
Now I will tell you what, if that is something that interests you, I can shoot you over a link that can explain a lot more about this. So I might say something along those lines and might tailor it up a little bit. So in summary, here is what we just went over. The question was, what is an example elevator pitch that you would use to promote Empower Network? I explained what an elevator pitch was.
I explained how I like to tailor it to meet the needs of other people. And I explained three different ways to be able to tailor it. So from that point on, the ball is in your court to take it and run with it and have fun with it. So Trish, hopefully that answered your question. If it didn't, feel free to jump on out.
And re-clarify. Otherwise, if somebody else is bold and wants to come out and ask a question, go ahead and hit star 6 on your phone. Make sure you are in a fairly quiet place. Come on out and interrupt me and ask your next question. Thank you, Trish.
That was awesome. This is Carlynn. And you know what? I would like to tell Trish something woman to woman that I find to be pretty successful on my elevator pitch. Yes, go for it.
So Trish, one of the things I have come to learn that you really can empower yourself and take control of the situation. And most elevator pitches start with when people say, what do you do? So rather than tell them what you do, I like to say to somebody, well, first, what do you do? And by gathering just that information, it helps me to then know how to tailor my elevator pitch. So you can write an elevator pitch that pretty much is generic.
Your elevator pitch should happen within about 20 seconds. And it should be where people ask you at the end when you say your elevator pitch. It should create enough curiosity that they go, how do you do that? That kind of thing. Or I'd like to know more.
Tell me more about how you do that or something like that. So if you cause them to ask a question, then you have a successful elevator pitch. And then the neat thing to do is to give them a call to action. And of course, because you're in an elevator, the idea is, listen, I don't have a lot of time, but I'll tell you what, and then have a call to action. So I like to create that call to action on my business card.
So one of the things you can say is something like, when somebody says, well, I do such and such for a living, or I'm a housewife and I'm looking to blah, blah, blah. Whatever their answer is, is how you tailor your elevator pitch. So I like to say that I empower people's lives to either earn extra money, save extra money, enhance who they are, what they do, get them the proper exposure so people know how to drive traffic to those people. To earn that extra cash they're looking for. So then people would say, how do you do that?
And that's when you say, listen, to save some time, I sometimes have a blank card. I hand it to people and I say, put your name and number down here, and your email address. I'll send you a little bit of information. But here's my card. And should you go to my website, if you go right here, there's a free gift for you that will also give you the detail.
So I tell them, and I give them a verbal instruction. You'll see a landing page. Just fill out your information there so that it will let you go into the back door, which will also allow me to know to give you a call back, whether a call back or on your blog site, however you choose to do it. I put my free gifts on the blog so I don't have to make the second call to call people. I let them choose the gift.
But a gift, most people jump through a hoop to get something free. And we have enough free tools around us that we can offer those free tools, which make people do exactly what that old-fashioned plastic party used to do, make them jump over each other. Just to get a little free piece of plastic. It truly, truly works to get people jumping. Women love free widgets.
So those little freebie tools work in your favor to drive your traffic. So I tell them something without telling them anything, just enough to make them go to the site to get the information they need. Because I'm supposed to be the messenger, not the message. Hope that helps. I love it.
Thank you. You're welcome. Fantastic answer. I love this. I hope you guys like this interactive format.
This is something new that we're trying. And we just want to, every once in a while, be able to jump out and do Q&A sessions and provide more value. So that was a great question, a couple great answers. So if anybody else is gutsy and wants to come on out and ask a question, just feel free to jump out at any time. Press star six if you need to unmute yourself.
Hello? Yeah, I'd like to ask a question about paid traffic sources, lead generation. Paid traffic. Who is this that's asking? This is Kevin.
Hey, Kevin. How's it going, Chris? Fantastic. Jump on out. I'm getting ready to drop some big dollars.
Well, to me, big dollars. You know, there's a lot out there. I've seen the training. You know, I've heard good and bad. I was thinking about PPC or safe swaps.
What scared me with safe swaps is I heard that they don't convert, and I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with them. Okay. So there's a couple questions there. One is the topic is paid advertising. The idea is that you're getting ready to drop some money on it, and specifically you want to know a little bit more about safe swaps and if it's a recommended way to be able to or if it's worth using, basically, is kind of what you're asking there.
Yeah. Does anybody have any experience with it? Exactly, because I'm seeing the numbers. They're pretty much solid. One out of 100 it seems that most people are converting, and that's averaging all the different traffic sources in.
But, you know, traffic is not traffic is not traffic. And so basically what you said, is that worth it, or should I focus more on PPC? Got it. Or should you focus more on PPC? Okay.
So let's take an effort to stab this here. Okay. So really the general concept is paid advertising. So obviously we teach free advertising. Just so there's a low barrier of entry for everybody.
There's something for everybody. That's the reason why we teach free advertising. Some people have more time than money, so free advertising is their best friend. Now, free advertising, it's difficult to scale it up as much as it is with paid advertising. So with paid advertising, the first tip that I want to give anybody is this.
And I've heard this said a bunch of times, but when Judd Humphries joined the team, he started putting it in my head a lot. So I'll give him credit for it. But it's the term, nail it and scale it. When it comes to paid advertising, you want to nail it and scale it. Nail it, meaning try things out on a small level and test your numbers.
And don't be afraid to try lots of different sources on a small level. Test your numbers, test your engagement, test things out. Once you find something that converts to your liking, it works with your numbers, then you can scale it up. Okay. So you might try — let's say somebody had $1,000 to place ads with, for example.
Now, four of them might be a flop according to your standards, according to whatever your numbers and your metrics are, where one of them might hit. And then if it still works, then you start scaling it up and scaling it up and scaling up that source because you found something that works for you. So the big thing here is when it comes to paid advertising is really finding what works for you because if it were — let's just be honest. I love transparency. I love total honesty.
Even if it's not what people want to hear, I like telling them what people need to hear. The fact of the matter is that if it — just think about it logically. If it were so easy that all anyone had to do was join Empower Network and throw money into a paid advertising campaign, throw money into a paid advertising pot, and they would just be getting tons and tons of leads and tons of sales and making tons of money and throwing piles of money on their bed and rolling around in it all night, that's kind of what we envision Empower Network is going to be when we first look at it. Like man, I'll just join. I'll just throw some money at it.
All these systems work, and the ratios are there. Well, if it were that easy, then every single person would be having so much massive success. This thing would be out of control. The average — every single person would come in. It would be like that.
So it's a dream come true for it to be like that. But let's step into reality. Reality is that's not really happening, and there's really a select few people that have figured out paid advertising and are making a lot of money. And this company may be more than a select few. There's a good amount of people that are having success with paid advertising, but it's not everybody.
There's some people like myself. When I first got in, I dropped over $1,000 into an advertising campaign and lost it all. I lost it all. I didn't know what I was doing. I was green.
Whoosh, there's my money. It was in, and it was out. I don't even think I got a single sale from it or anything. But the other day, I ran an ad campaign, and I got like 10 sales from it. So really, what's the difference?
What's the difference? How is it that an ad campaign converts? There's more to it than just placing the ad. There's more to it than just paying money. So let's say you wanted to use a company like a safe swap company or a CPC broker type company, or pay per click, or you're buying solo ads, whatever it is.
The key metric that I use is this, price per lead. That's really all I focus on for those. I take sales out of it. I take the amount of money I make from sales, I take that completely out of it. I'm looking at a good source, a good price per lead program.
Something like CPC broker and those systems, that's like $3 to $5 per lead. So you're paying quite a bit for leads, but it's really easy to scale up. There's a ton of leads out there in that program. You can go drop a couple thousand dollars. You can generally get $3 to $5 per lead with that money.
So it's price per lead. Whatever advertising strategy you're using, if you're using Facebook pay per click, or Google pay per click, or Bing, or Yahoo, or you're doing solo ads, or whatever it is, you're really looking at a cost per lead. So the first thing you've got to understand is all the leads need to go to a lead capture page. All your advertising needs to go to a lead capture page, because it's the most important thing is capturing a lead. And you've got to understand, you've got to figure out a reasonable price per lead that you're going to pay.
But if they're super high quality, then it might be worth it. And if they're super low quality, then you probably only want to spend like $1 per lead. But the main thing I want to get across to you is this. When it comes to paid advertising, the first portion is what is your cost per lead? That is the main thing you've got to look at.
Don't get caught up on whether or not people are buying right from that campaign. Now you've got leads. Now you have an email list, now you have leads. You've basically bought leads. You've grown your email list, you've bought leads.
Now the question is, how do you convert those leads into sales? How do you convert those leads into sales? And that is where effective communication comes in. You need to have a way to be able to convert those leads into sales. So here on Team Take Massive Action, we've provided you with pre-built autoresponder swipe files.
We did that in an effort to be able to give you a way to convert those leads into sales. So you can use them to be able to help convert sales. But they are not really personalized. I mean they are. They say your name at the end, and the links have your username, so at least you get credit.
But let's be honest, you didn't write them. They are not really personalized. It's just real generic. And then there is also what they call email swipe copy. That is when like Dave and Dave, they will send out an email, and they will say hey, you can copy this and just change the username and just copy other people's emails and send those out to your list as well.
And that is effective. But let's be honest, it is still not your email. So this is where I really started getting sales from. I made sure I had my autoresponder in place. I made sure I had swipe files from time to time.
But here is where it really turned profitable for me. I started sending out personalized broadcast messages. Personalized broadcast messages. This is where the reader starts to actually get to know you. This is where the you factor comes in.
This is where they go hey, wow, I actually want to join this person. I really want to join with them. I will give you a really good case study here. Somebody like George Bailey who is one of the leaders on Team Take Massive Action. George Bailey has a fascinating background.
This guy has amazing stories. I have known him since I was 13 years old. And this guy, I probably know 100 stories, 200 stories about him. Just fascinating stuff. This guy we call milkman to millionaire because he used to drive around in a milk truck while trying to build a network marketing business on the side of all that.
And then he jumped out of that and got into internet marketing and real estate investing. And he has traveled all over and lived everywhere. He just has this fascinating life. But up until this moment, most of his emails are the autoresponders and the swipe copy. So here is an example.
Here is this guy with this 10-year background in network marketing and these amazing stories and all this amazing stuff, but it is not being leveraged. Instead, what is being leveraged is just the autoresponders and the swipe copy. So what happens is people don't necessarily want to join with that. They do. He does get some sales.
But people aren't hearing these stories. You see, if I knew that I had a chance to join with George Bailey, I would join in a heartbeat because I have heard all of his amazing stories. I know like this guy has 10 years experience in this business. This guy could get me on the phone, and he could teach me stuff that would save me thousands and thousands of dollars worth of figuring out on my own if I only knew I could have the chance to join with him. So here is the reason I bring him up, and here is the reason this is so important, effective communication.
So for him, he needs to figure out a way to effectively communicate that message to his list, that he is that person. And he can't really do it in a way where he is just bragging all the time because that can turn some people off. He has to figure out a way where his list can get to know that he is that person, because as soon as they do get to know that he is that person, somebody amazing, then they are all going to want to join with him. So your closing ratios, your sales ratios are going to go through the roof when you become an effective communicator. Now the reason I bring up George Bailey is because he is the average typical — he represents one of the average typical people that join the business.
We all have different experience, but he wouldn't call himself an Internet marketer. This is all a huge learning curve for him. But he has some things that make him an amazing person, and so do you, and so does every listener on this call. We all have something that makes us amazing. We all have something that people would want to join for us for.
So if you can become an effective communicator with broadcast messages, meaning let your autoresponder emails go, and let him keep going. But maybe every couple of days, every few days, send a personal message out to your team. Even if you are nervous about it, who cares? Send a personal message out to your list, and have it be something short and simple. Maybe you make a little YouTube video if you are into that kind of thing.
You need to say, hey, let me tell you a little bit about — hey, thanks for being on my list as just a free gift today. I want to share with you some free value, and hopefully something that can help you out in your business. Here is a little bit about me, and here are a couple of tips for today that hopefully will inspire you and help you take action in your business. You share a couple of tips, and at the end you tell them, hey, look, I am looking for some more people to partner up with. So if you are serious about wanting to make money online, then click the link below this video, and let's go in business together.
Now some of you are like, okay, there is no way I am going to get on a video. That is crazy. But for some of you, you can do that. That is a simple, free way to be able to position yourself as somebody who people want to join, even if you are sitting at your desk at your home. And then what you do is you make that video, you put it on YouTube.
You can make it unlisted so only people that have the link can actually do it. And then you send that video out to your list. You write a little introduction that says, hey, I just shot a personal video for you. I would love for you to watch it, and let me know what you think. And then maybe take a screenshot of the video and put it there, or just a link right to it.
It is just that simple. You send something out. And what happens is a certain percentage of them are going to open the email. A certain percentage are going to click. They are going to watch that video, and they are going to start to get to know you.
And at some point, they are going to go, hey, you know what? I am going to give this thing a shot. And you have got to keep reaffirming to people, hey, for as little as $25, as little as $25 you can get started. You can get started for as little as $25. They need to hear that.
Because at some point, they are going to go, you know what? Why don't I just give this thing a shot for $25? And then they are going to join through you because you have positioned yourself as someone to join with. When you are only generic, when everything is only super generic, what happens is they are going to start doing research about the company, which is good, but it is bad because they don't really have a sense of attachment to you at all. So they really have no reason to join with you at all.
So what will happen is they will start doing some research, and they might go join with someone else. You might get some sales, but if you want to increase your sales, and increase your conversions, and increase your percentages, you have got to have personalized broadcast messages, whether you are sending out videos, or whether you are just writing stories. Maybe you are just telling stories, or giving tips, or giving advice, or linking to valuable stuff. Whatever it is, do something. Try to make it personalized.
And the last thing I will say about personalized is this, meaning if I were to read your email and replace your name with somebody else's name, would it still make sense for them? So let's say I am George Bailey, and I am telling a funny story of when I was a milkman back in the day, and I start off the email telling this funny story. And then after I tell a little funny story, I go, now here is why that is important today. And then I lead into Empower Network and Elevator Pitch and what we do, and I tell people, look, take massive action. Get started for as little as $25.
Join my team. Let's lock arms, and let's make some money online. Who is with me? Now if I were to take that, and if I were to put Arthur Tubman's name on it instead of George Bailey, would it make sense for him? No, because Arthur Tubman was not a milkman growing up.
He grew up in Santa Cruz, California. He has a completely different story. So see, the personalized broadcast messages are your chance to be able to convert sales off of your head. The autoresponders and everything, those are in place just to make sure there is consistent follow-up. Now this is the foundation coming back to that question you just asked.
The reason this is important is because whatever advertising you are doing, whether it is safe swaps, whether it is solo ads, whether it is PPC, CPC, whatever it is, all of those sources, all you are really concerned with is price. You want to try this? So bad we can't hear you. Oh, man, that's a shame that I'm breaking up here. That's better.
You're getting to the great part. You're getting to the good part, though. I hope you guys can hear me. Like the last 30 seconds, just the last 30 seconds. I'll summarize what I was just saying there.
Is it simple? Paid advertising is just really about getting leads on your list. How good is it? Squeaky noise. Yeah, it's in here.
Can anybody hear me? This is Judd. If you can hear me, I'll give some answers to this. Anybody hear me? I can barely hear you.
Okay, let's see if I'm wrong. Hey, guys, this is Chris. I can hear you now. Stuff like that. Can you tell me the exact last thing that you heard before my phone broke up?
You said whether it comes to safe swaps or solo ads, and then it just started going. I caught like one second out of every four. And I heard something across three and stuff like that. So listen, everybody, I apologize for the broken call there. I'm on my cell phone.
And I hope everybody can just be forgiving of it. I mean, this is a free bonus. It is what it is. So let's just get back into it. So the main point I'm making here is that when you do paid advertising, whether it's solo ads or safe swaps or CPC broker, pay-per-click advertising, no matter what it is, your main goal should be price per lead.
You should be paying between $1 and $5 per lead, somewhere in that range. And eventually you'll become an expert and figure it out. But for the average person, $3 a lead or something, that would be really cool. That would be a good price. And it doesn't matter.
You're asking should we do safe swaps or whether it's solo ads or whatever. Here's the deal. The deal is don't worry so much about that. Try several different aspects with a small amount of money. Figure out which one you can buy good leads at, decent leads at for a good price.
And then you can focus on scaling that one up. So you might try a few different things. You might try placing a couple solo ads. You might try doing some things. And also, by the way, Empower Network, those lead capture pages have been used by pretty much everybody on all of those lists.
I mean, people have gone crazy over it. But our pages like teamtakemassiveaction.com slash CCC, which stands for Create, Capture, Convert, that landing page has really not been used on solo ads and different pay-per-click stuff. Now, it's going to get a completely different response. So feel free to also experiment with different pages if you want. But the main point I'm going to make is this.
There's two parts to paid advertising. The question is not whether or not you should use safe swaps. Sure, go ahead and experiment with it. Everything works, nothing doesn't. Try anything.
That's the point. The point is how to make sales. The point is how to get sales, how to get people to enroll. And there's two parts to paid advertising. Part one is getting leads on your list, and part two is closing leads on your list.
There's really two parts to that. That's why we call it the three C's of online marketing. Create traffic, capture leads, convert sales. Well, what does a solo ad do? A solo ad is where you use somebody else's list to create traffic.
They send a bunch of traffic to your list. They send a bunch of traffic to your lead capture page. So a solo ad is you're renting somebody else's list. They're sending a bunch of traffic to your lead capture page. So you're creating traffic by buying it.
Your lead capture page is going to capture those leads. And then your email list and the sales videos and the Team Take Massive Action site and all this cool stuff we do is where you're going to convert sales. So don't judge a campaign based on how many people buy. Did I get those leads for $3 a lead? Okay, well there's a decent cost there then.
That's a reasonable cost per lead. So now let's focus on converting those leads into sales. How can I do that? Well, I've got autoresponders. I've got swipe files.
Let me try some personal broadcast stuff. Let me try some YouTube videos. Let me just try — at this point, start doing different things. Work on different ways to be able to do your best to convert sales. Tell them more about the bonuses that they get when they join Team Take Massive Action.
Tell them more about why they want to join with you. Maybe even come up with like a little simple bonus yourself. I've seen a couple members on our team say that hey, the next three people that join, I'm going to give them a one-hour consulting call to help them set their business up, maximize it, and I'm going to share it. You're an awesome strategy with you. In fact, I saw one person on our team that said this.
Hey, I just learned an amazing, amazing strategy that I think would work extremely well with Empower Network. I'm already doing one myself, but I've got this other strategy, and I'd love to just share it with somebody for free. So the very next person who joins my business and Empower Network, even if you join for as little as $25, I'm going to get on the phone with you or email you or whatever. I'm going to break down this exact strategy. So you can use it, and you can be a case study.
And all I ask in return is that if you become successful or when you become successful, that you just give me a testimonial to help me out in my business. That's all I ask in return. But it's only available to the next person that joins for $25. So I saw someone on the team do that. And guess what?
The strategy was just something they learned on a call, one of these calls. So you see, you're really just looking for ways to build your list and then ways to convert those sales off of your list. That's the paid advertising game. And that's kind of also the free advertising game. So it's a roundabout way of saying that safe swaps and these different things are just things you should experiment with and find something that fits your style.
And then once you find something that fits your style, heck, maybe magazine ads is the thing that fits your style. Maybe all this time you never knew magazine ads or small classified ads in papers all across the country. You never know. Maybe those are the things that were your style all along, and you just never knew. So it's a long answer, but I was really just trying to serve you with some value there.
Chris, can you hear me? Yes. Hey, this is Arthur. I just want to piggyback on that a little bit. One of the things that I actually learned from you, actually just pointing it out to me, probably about two months ago, I was experimenting with a lot of different paid advertising, if you remember, between safe swaps and solo ads and TPC and pretty much everything.
And so I'm generating leads. I'm generating tons of leads. And you saw my list grow. And I'm literally at the point now where I think I'm close to 10,000 people on my list, and I've never built a list before effectively. I mean, we've done some stuff in the past, but we've never actually built a list until Empower Network, I feel.
I'm pretty sure I'm speaking for you as well when I say that. And what you pointed out to me was that every single week I'm sending out messages to my list, and the messages I'm sending out is like, hey, jump on the Empower Hour call Monday night. And I'm not sending out any kind of personal broadcast. I'm not communicating with my list. I'm building this list.
I'm doing these solo ads. I'm doing all this lead generation and driving traffic, but I'm not engaging with my list. And you said that to me, and I've actually implemented that in my business. I've actually started broadcasting to my list probably like three, four, five times a week. And it's pretty amazing what has happened.
I know I shared some of this stuff with you before, but literally almost every single day I have somebody signing up with me that I don't know who they are. I have no idea who they are. I had that happen to me twice today. And I always, when I have a conversation with them, because I do like to call people and just kind of welcome them to the team. It's not something that everyone does, but I personally like to do that.
I like to call my people and just kind of welcome them and see who they are, just connect with them a little bit. And I always ask them, how did you find me? And it's just funny. Because every single time it's like, well, I was on Facebook, and I clicked on an ad. And I started getting autoresponded.
But then I got a personalized email. This happened yesterday. I got a personalized email from you telling me to jump on some call and to just sign up. It's only $25. And I just decided I was going to sign up.
And I jumped on the call, and I was really impressed by what was said on the call. And I want to go to Austin. And this guy is going to Austin now. He's all excited. He got a personalized email from me.
And so I just want to piggyback on that. Because, again, like exactly what you're saying is these paid advertising sources are great for generating traffic and generating leads. But the sales come from the follow-up. Fortune is in the follow-up. And I don't know if you guys have heard that before.
But it is. Because that's where the engagement, the autoresponders start going to work. The broadcasts start going to work. Different campaigns that you have going out there. Broadcasts could be email.
It could be voice. It could be other things. And so, yeah, man, I mean, as far as, you know, just to answer the question the gentleman that asked, you know, why do they say swaps don't convert? Or this doesn't convert? Everything converts.
It's just a matter of where you're driving them to. You know? So, I mean, there's a lot of different ways to tweak and to make things convert better. There's a lot of variables. It's a pretty loaded question that you're asking.
There's a lot of variables involved. So, you know, if you're doing any kind of paid advertising, you know, really what you're going after is traffic and then determining how much you're paying per lead, as Chris was saying. You know, that's incredibly valuable what you're saying, both of you. I mean, that is more than helpful when I ask the question. I guess what scared me is I saw, I was told that I can get leads on, say, swaps, like 75 cents a piece.
And I was a little worried to put the money in it. Well, you can. You can get leads really cheap. But, again, like, I'm going to talk specifically to say swaps because I've used it before. Say swaps, it consists mostly of people that have generated leads off of freebie offers, meaning that they're offering some kind of an e-book or some kind of a download or something like that.
And so if you're going to be marketing to those types of people, you can't just market, like, to those people and be like, hey, buy this product. What those people want generally for you to do is to offer them some kind of freebie. So if you have some type of e-book or some type of giveaway, because it's going to be a lot harder to convert sales off of those types of lists. And so, like, you know, the leads might be less expensive, but they're also going to be lower quality as far as, like, the conversions that you're going to experience. Okay.
But in the end, I mean, it's going to end up being the same thing. You're going to end up paying probably, like, three bucks for a quality lead on a safe swap campaign, probably more than that, because you're targeting people that are used to getting some freebie download or freebie e-book. Ah, okay. Okay. Now, that's very valuable to me as well, because I wasn't aware of that.
Hey, Chris, this is Judd. May I make a comment about this? Please do. This idea of paid advertising is amazing. It's a major topic.
I mean, Chris and Arthur and I and probably a dozen other people could talk about paid advertising for several hours before you would understand the significance of how to do that correctly and how to make it effective. But Chris said it in a very, very good way. It's like a combination lock. The first part of the combination is you must generate the lead and then capture them. And the second part of the combination lock is you must find a way to convert them.
Now, when you go out on the lead business to advertise and get paid advertising and paid lead, if you just go out on the Internet and you do a search for leads, you're going to run into what I would consider to be fairly low-quality leads. The two lead sources that were mentioned are what I consider to be low-quality leads. And so, if you want to deal with low-quality leads, you're going to have to find a way to deal with low-quality leads all the time. That might indeed be an area where you work with and your conversions will be low. I know I have a very good friend who deals with very, very high-quality leads.
So, you have some idea. And so, it's a philosophy. It's a philosophy that you look at in terms of leads and lead development. But it's just like a combination lock. And there are many, many facets to it.
And you must get all three or four of those numbers on the combination lock correct in order to make money with it. And Chris pointed out what was so very important. Advertising to get leads is not the same as advertising to get sales. They're very different functions. And to generate a lead is one function.
And to convert that lead into sales is another function. And so, there are skills associated with those two parts of the formula. And we don't have time tonight to go into that because I've taken classes where we spend eight hours talking just about how to capture leads. And the next day, we spend another eight hours just about talking how to convert leads. So, for what it's worth, I think we've got great answers.
But I would just say the same thing that Chris said in the beginning when he mentioned the book that I told him about called Nail It and Scale It. In marketing, you learn to test. You test everything. No matter how good you are, no matter how expert you are, the type of results you want. And then once you've learned how to get the results on a small scale, the program and larger campaign, but you've got to test in the beginning.
Chris, back to you. Awesome. Okay. So, let's do this. Let's move the topic away from paid advertising just because we've already put so much time on it.
There's things. For additional resources, at least right now for paid advertising, what I would recommend is for those of you that have it, the 15K formula, there's a module by Shakir that goes into just so in-depth you would never believe that this is available as just one of the modules. This alone was worth way more than $1,000. So, go into the 15K formula. Find one of the new modules by Shakir teaching on paid advertising.
And then also, Aaron Rashkin just did one. This past week that talks about really email marketing and talks about some different techniques there. So, we don't need to talk about it too much here because it's already dialed in and available in a webinar format for everybody. And that's the reason to get the 15K formula if you haven't, which is the one last thing I'll say about this is I usually, my standard advice is people really should not be doing paid advertising unless they're all in and they own all the products first. So, people will jump in and they'll jump in.
I've got $500 or whatever. Well, my feedback is simply this. Well, my average lifetime value of a customer is currently roughly around $600 and growing. Okay. Because I have so many more people that also buy the $500, the $1,000, and the $3,500 product.
So, my lifetime value is around $600 a customer where yours, your average lifetime value might be $150 a customer. So, I'll make four times more money than somebody at the basic level from the same like advertising campaign if it was scaled up. So, when people really, and that might be over your head or not, I don't know, but just for everybody listening, look, one of the smartest things you could do is spend your money on getting the products first because it will qualify you. It'll do three things. Number one, it'll qualify you.
It'll qualify you to earn the big money. Number two, it will educate you. It will teach you how to do the big advertising and everything. And number three, it will give you an all-in mentality. And what I mean by that is look at the people that are not all-in versus the ones that are all-in.
The people who are all-in, those are the ones that are preaching, get all-in, get all-in, get all-in. Those are the ones that have an all-in attitude. They're out there telling everybody to get all-in. The ones that aren't all-in, well, they're not really shouting out very loud to go all-in. You know why?
Because if you go all-in with them, they see it as they lose the sales. If they're only in at, let's say, the $125 level, which some of you are on the call, you're not shouting from a rooftop for your prospect to get all-in because you would lose the $500, you would lose the $1,000, you would lose the $3,500. And you have this plan in your mind. It's okay. You can build this business however you want.
But the reality is that the person that's all-in, they're qualified to earn the big commissions. They're educated to learn how to make the big commissions. And they have an all-in attitude. And it breeds more all-in sales. I went all-in right off the bat.
I would have gone all-in if I didn't have the money. I need everybody to hear that. If I was on top... If I was eating top ramen and looking in my couch for loose change and broke and getting ready to be evicted, I would have gone all-in. And you know how I can say that with total conviction?
Because I was in that exact same situation, getting ready to be evicted, no money, no anything. And I came across a top-tier company and the buy-in was $20,000 to go in and sell with that company. And the commissions were only 50%. It was a $20,000 buy-in with only 50% commissions. I didn't even have enough money to cover rent.
And I went all-in and found $20,000. And no, it did not come from family. My family is broke. It didn't come from family. I went out there and made it happen.
I went out there and took massive action, did anything it took, and I went and made it happen. So the reality is that I would go all-in regardless of my financial situation, regardless. I would go all-in because it's the smart thing to do. It's the way you're going to make the most money, by positioning yourself with the training, with the qualification, and with the all-in attitude. So my advice there is this.
Get all-in first before you do too much paid advertising because you're going to increase the lifetime value of your customers because you can earn more commission off of each sale. You're literally maximizing your potential. And then you can nail it and scale a campaign up. And I know Judd is going to be one of our future trainers in the upcoming weeks on that because Judd is getting ready to launch some fairly sizable campaigns. And he's going to be somebody that he can report some of those feedback and statistics.
So I know Arthur is getting ready to release some new stats on some of the marketing he's done as well. So again, we've really hit this topic hard. So I hope everybody's gotten value out of it. Paid advertising is definitely something our team will focus on, but I really hope you go about it smart and don't throw your money away. And I may be a little bit overprotective.
Like this team is like, you know, we're a family. I may feel like I'm looking out for my family members here by maybe part of me wants to say, hey, go out and spend money on as many ads as you can because at the end of the day, even if you're not qualified, those sales will roll up to me or to your mentor or somebody. So we can be greedy. Think about it. If we were greedy, we wouldn't be telling — we would be telling you to go spend your money on all of these ads all the time because you'd miss sales and they'd roll up to us and we'd make that money.
But we're not. We're looking out for you. What we're saying is take your money, put it into the product, get the education, do it right, become an entrepreneur and business owner that really looks at your business, study your numbers, and scale up as soon as you're ready. So with that, I want to get off the pedestal. I'm going to open up — we still have time.
I'm going to open up to somebody else's question as long as it's not something that's already been asked and talked about on the call today. Just press star six. Come out and unmute yourself with any question that you feel like asking. Chris? Yeah.
Can you hear me? We can. Hi. This is Keisha Parker. And I actually have two questions. But my first one would be, how would we pitch or pique the interest of other network marketers who are in an industry which they feel is high touch?
Okay, that's your first question. Is your second question on the same subject or something completely different? Completely different in regards to being all in and doing what we have to get the funds. And maybe the question would be, how would you set up — what's a proposal for someone to invest in you and your business so that I can try to create funds? So there's two questions there. One is, how do you attract network marketers and other organizations that are in a high-touch business, really nothing to do with tech? And the second question is, what are some funding ideas or partnership ideas on how to be able to raise the funding to go all in? So those are two questions there.
That's correct. And I'll take a stab at them. And then also I wanted to say, if there's any other leaders on the phone at any given time, this is an interactive, off-the-cuff call. Feel free to jump out and interrupt me at any given time. I don't need to dominate this call.
So if anybody feels like a stroke of a brilliant thought that comes to your mind and goes, hey, I know the answer to this one. I've got some good ideas. Feel free to come out and share. We're a community here. We're a team.
We're a group. So with that being said, let's address — let me tease a little bit on the funding thing. So Peter Swarmson was just out here at my house for this past week, and he was working on some funding methods and partnership methods and stuff like that. Everybody knows, a little teaser. He's actually putting together a sales funnel that shows people ways to be able to fund their business.
And that will be useful for people on our team looking to get funding to go all in, but it's also going to be a useful tool to recruit people from other teams, meaning that — not other teams in Empower, but other organizations completely, meaning that we can — we can do that. We can show other companies how they can gather together some money to join those programs as well. If somebody wants to get $500 together to join XYZ program, you can send them a link to what we're going to call the funding method. And you can send them a link, and they're going to opt in to be able to watch a video that's going to show how to get $500 funding for their business. But then at the end, Peter is going to say something along the lines of, hey, we found this valuable.
You know, you can join Team Take Massive Action for as little as $25, and you can unlock full training where we go into, you know, numerous ways to get funding, maybe 21 ways to get funding. Peter might say, hey, these are only a few ways right here, you know, but we'll actually record it for 21 different ways to get funding. So that's available exclusively to Team Take Massive Action members for as little as $25. So that's a funnel that we've spent time brainstorming this past week. And what will happen is anybody you know in any company will be like, well, look.
Now, would you be interested? If I could show you a video that would show you how to be able to raise $500 to go, you know, to buy your product in your company, is that something you'd be interested in? The video is free. They'll go, well, heck, yeah. And you shoot them over the link.
They opt in. So boom, you just got someone to your list. And then they watch the video, and they're like, this is good, but I want the whole training. So they drop $25, join the team. And now that they join the team, they start to go, wow, this is a real community.
They start to learn the compensation plan. And they want to unlock calls like this so they invest $100. And next thing you know, they've got an empower mentality. Next thing you know, they're in empower. They're loving it.
They're having fun. And they're ready to rock and roll with Team Take Massive Action and Empower Network. And they're excited, and they're building this alongside whatever they're building. So I'm just putting that teaser out there. That's something that we worked on.
That's something that's coming. I know Peter put some time into it. We'll be looking for that soon. So that's what I'm going to say about the funding portion right now. We might come back to it.
We might not. That says Peter is going to be releasing all of that. I kind of don't want to steal. I don't want to steal too much of his thunder since that's all going to come out. And for those of you that are part of Team Take Massive Action, that's going to be free as long as you're a paid member on our team.
So you can go ahead and thank Peter for being willing to do that for you when he easily could have made it, you know, charged for it or made it some sort of bonus he had to be all in for. So that being said, let's jump over to the network marketing question. Okay. You've got network marketers all over the country, all over the world. This is a great demographic.
When promoting Empower Network, it's a great demographic to go after because this business truly would help them to be able to build their business. However, there's a big barrier for a lot of people, which is they have an old school mentality when it comes to marketing. They're still marketing in the old age, which is not bad. Heck, it's worked. I mean, there's companies like Amway who did, I mean, had like a billion dollar, I don't know if it was a billion dollar month.
I think the company just had their first billion dollar month. In a single month, they did a billion dollars in sales. Of course, it's mostly globally, but they use a lot of the old school methods. So clearly, there's a space in the world for that. So my first piece of advice is never to diss that.
Unless it's done in kind of a kidding, fun way. David Wood does it in a fun way. Some people do get offended by it, but David Wood just has, he actually, people don't understand him. He just loves, like, he loves poking fun at stuff, joking around at stuff and all. That kind of stuff.
So you can poke some fun at it and relate to people's pain of that old process. But at the same time, my advice, my personal Chris Recker advice, I don't really feel like you need to tear anybody down to build your own self up. So I don't think it's necessary to tear down the way somebody else builds their business and talk about how ours is so much better. I personally feel there's so many ways to sell, but that one's just not really needed. There's no battle that ever needs to happen about.
Okay. Okay. Oh my gosh. You know, this is so much better to market business. Well, what I would do is I would position it as, as something more comfortable to them.
I would tailor it to meet their needs. Okay. I would tailor it to meet their needs and I would do it in a lot more of a subtle fashion. You know, speak their language. So for example, and in fact, at some point, you know, this might be a good, in just a minute, it might be good for Judd or Carlin or somebody else on the phone to interrupt me in a minute because they have, that's been their industry in the past.
So I'm sure that they have some knowledge that they could share on this. But if I was talking to somebody like Judd, okay, if I was, if I was talking to Judd and let's say Judd has this big traditional network marketing background. Okay. He's built teams. He's, it's more traditional, more, we're going to call it the Amway style, even though a lot of other companies like that.
What I'm going to talk to Judd about is the community that we have here, the real community. I'm going to talk to Judd about the real support. The hands-on support that we give to people. I'm going to talk to Judd about how we are helping the average person with little to no experience to be able to have success. I'm going to talk to Judd about how, gosh, internet marketing, that whole world is so confusing.
You know, the average person doesn't stand a chance at it. Well, with Team Take Massive Action, what we've done is we've simplified it so much where the brand new person can come in and can follow a step-by-step blueprint to learn how to write something. We've got some blog posts to get some leads, okay? Learn how to, you know, instead of writing up a bunch of emails right off the bat, we've already, we've got pre-written emails that they could just import right in, okay? We've got, we've simplified this thing, dumbed it down so that the average person can come in and have a chance, okay?
So, let me stop right there and say, the reason I'm using that kind of language of community, support, average person having success, this and that, is because that's really what's in the minds of some of the old school marketing methods. Okay? Okay. If you're someone, they don't want to go into high-tech, is they think that you're going to lose the high touch. In their mind, it's almost one or the other.
As soon as you go high-tech, it's not about people anymore, it's not about holding people's hands, it's not about really sitting down and nurturing people. That's sort of the image that's out there. Now, that's one. The second one is distraction. Everyone in the world is worried about distraction, shiny object syndrome, okay?
Even here in Empower Network, one of them, you know, one of the things is like, I'm like a shiny object could come around and half of my team could be all, oh, look at this shiny object. We should really start using this to build Empower. It could happen, and it could devastate people. Shiny object could be dangerous. So how is Empower Network not a shiny object to them and their organization?
That's an objection that you're going to need to overcome. You're going to need to get good at being able to overcome that in their mind. Even if they don't say it, that's what they're thinking is, well, I've seen these programs and these things. They sound good, but at the end of the day, all my people are going to, you know, all my people are just going to start getting all excited about that, but they're just going to start building Empower and, you know, forget about my company here. So that person is going to guard their belief system with that business because they're worried about the shiny object syndrome, and they're worried that they're going to lose the personal touch with their business.
So knowing in advance that those are the two main things that they're guarding closely is going to help you. You're going to be able to. You're going to be able to enter the conversation now and be able to relate with them more. In fact, what I love to do is I love to overcome objections before they even happen. In a conversation with somebody, whether it's email or phone or Facebook message, it doesn't matter.
Overcome an objection before it even comes up. You already know those are the objections. So you might say something like this. You know, one of the reasons why I love Team Take Massive Action is because, you know, traditionally, something like Empower Network is probably just a shiny object, right? It comes along.
Everybody's like, ooh. We, you know, join that, blah, blah, blah. And then you get all distracted. Next thing you know, the volume goes down. You know how that goes, okay?
Well, Team Take Massive Action is different. Team Take Massive Action is actually a support group of people helping each other, and many of them are in different companies, but yet they're all working together here to figure out how to generate leads for their other businesses. It's a support group. It's real people, average people, working together to have success and building a community. A lot of them are in different companies, but there's this awesome mutual respect between everybody.
And Team Take Massive Action teaches skills to be able to help people go out and generate more leads, generate more sales for their business. And that's what I love about Team Take Massive Action. It's different. It's not just some shiny object. Team Take Massive Action didn't lose the high touch.
It's high tech with the high touch. They've dummied it down and simplified it so that everybody has a chance of succeeding, okay? So there's an off-the-cuff summary of overcoming objections in advance, but it'll be slightly more open-minded that this isn't just another one of those, you know, fly-by-night, you know, schemey-looking things, okay? So that's my feedback, but if Judd or Carlin want to talk about any of the other leaders for that matter, feel free to jump out and share some thoughts on this as well. Thank you so much, Chris.
Yeah, no problem. I don't hear anybody jumping out unless they're... Hey, Chris, this is Judd. Hey, Judd. Can you guys hear me?
Yes. I just wanted to make sure I come out. I thought that was such an excellent answer, and, you know, you're absolutely right. I've lived in a relationship network marketing company. Amway was one of the companies that I was in, and we built relationships, and all the funny stories that Dave Wood has talked about, I've actually done, and I've been embarrassed a couple of times, but it's all relationship building, and the thing that is important to understand is...
Is that even though Empower is a technological, as it's a tech business, people still want relationships, and what makes our team so good is the fact that we're developing those relationships even though we have a high-tech business. So it's critical that if you're approaching a network marketing person, and most network marketing people are in what is called a relationship building business, you must build that relationship with those people. You must build a friendship with them, and then once you have that friendship with them, then you can show them how that business, you know, how the Empower business can help them, and it's all about relationships, and without the relationship, they won't even listen to you. Chris hit it on the nail when he said about what they're concerned about. So those of you who know how to build friendships and those of you who know how to build relationships, if you're going to approach network marketing people...
Who have a traditional network marketing business, you must build a relationship with those people or they won't even listen to you. And there'll be a time when we may talk about that subject more in depth, but Chris is right on the nail, hitting the head right on the nail with what has to happen in order to deal with and speak with those people in a traditional network marketing environment. Back to you, Chris. Cool. And then to touch up on just the other question...
I already hit it before about funding, but just to get everybody's minds going is this. When it comes to funding, never say, I can't, or I don't, or words like that. Just never say them. Illuminate them from your vocabulary. When you say things like, I don't have money, then you're right.
You don't have money, and you won't do anything to change it because you've just given yourself a belief process that you don't have money. But is that really what you want to believe? Do you really, in your core being, do you really want to believe that you're the type of person that doesn't have money? I don't think you do. That's why you're on this call, right?
And that's why you're part of this team. You do want to have money. So one of the first things you need to do is you need to stop any sort of scarcity-type conversation. And we've been pretty good in our team. So first of all, I'm preaching to the choir on this one because we do pretty well here compared to what I've seen out there.
But just make sure that's the fundamental that you need to have there, which is instead of saying, I don't have money. You don't have to. You don't have to say, oh, I do have money. I have tons of money. It's in my pocket right now.
Look, here it is. Oh, nope, it's not. I was lying to myself to try to be positive. That's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is instead of saying, I don't have any money, say, you know what?
I'm going to get some money. I am a smart human being. I am fully capable. I've got this far in my life. If I look back at the obstacles I've had in my life that I've overcome, you know what?
Some of them were tough, and I made it happen. So, you know, I know I'm capable. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to sit down. I'm going to get real with myself and say, you know what? How badly do I really want this opportunity?
Because there's been times in my life where I've come up with money for things that I had no idea how I was going to come up with it, but I made it happen. There's been times where I was behind on rent or behind on mortgage, you know what? And I figured out a way to come up with it, and I made it happen. There's been times where I was completely struggling, and next thing you know, a tire blew out of my car. But I figured out a way to be able to buy another tire or fix a car.
You know, because why? Because my motivation was high enough that I needed that car to go to work, and I needed the work to make money. So, my motivation was so high that I found the money no matter what, no matter what it took. Now, I've done this in my past. I know I'm a capable person.
I know I can do this, and I'm going to do this. So, how can I get that same mentality? How can I go back to these moments in my life where I did come up with money? How can I go back and get that same attitude about going all in with the power network? How can I translate?
Going all in to me is just as important as fixing, you know, my radiator on my car so I can go to a job, you know, to go just to get by, check to check. And what did that job get you? That job got you to a place where here you are at this age that you are right now, and you can't afford to go all in. That's pretty humbling. So, you've got to say, look.
Okay. I've already done this in my life, so I know it's possible. I know I can do it. Now, I've got to get down. I've got to figure out how to get that same attitude about doing whatever it takes to come up with money.
That's step one. Step one is always the foundation. You get the foundation right, you can get money. So, when people ask me, well, Chris, how did you come up with that $20,000? How did you do that?
You know what? I'll tell people there's nothing I can teach you more important than the foundation. I was beat up. I had hit rock bottom financially. My head was underwater, and I couldn't breathe.
When it came to a financial metaphor. And all I could focus on was just keeping my cell phone on. So, how did I change that and raise $20,000? It's not possible if I stayed in that mindset. It's just not possible.
When you stay in that mindset, you're creating an environment where you're not even allowing yourself the opportunity. So, the first thing I did was I broke out of that environment. I started saying, look, how can I? How can I? How can I?
Chris, you can do this. And this is going to sound real. This is going to sound hokey to a lot of you here. But there was a DVD that had just come out at that time called The Secret. And rather than us all getting in a debate about it, because this thing's been around for years and whatever, it was brand new.
And I had actually ordered the DVD, The Secret. And it sounds hokey, but I watched it every single day for 30 days. So, I was so motivated to change my mindset. I watched in that movie, you know, the person in the beginning got out of bed, and then they hit their foot, and they tripped. And they were getting out of bed.
And now their foot was hurt. Now they were mad. And they were doing this and that. And I watched this catalyst of events that would happen one after the other after the other. Everything, whether they spill coffee on themselves, or they don't find the parking spots that they want at work, or something bad happens to them.
And it ends up being this domino effect of negativity. And in my life, I know that was true for me. And it was also true for my wife. We were both watching this at the time, where if you start off with some sort of negative mood, it carries on with you. About today, next thing you know, some little tiny thing happens, and you're upset, and mad, and angry, and frustrated.
But really, it's just a tiny little thing. Nothing worth getting upset, and mad, and angry, and frustrated over. But you are, because you're still harboring this thought from earlier that has really been living in your mind that whole time. And I know it to be true for me. So, whether everybody wants to get into a debate about the secret or not is irrelevant.
That's what I did. And I started changing my mindset. And as soon as I started changing my mindset, I started getting creative. How can I? How can I?
How can I come up with money? Who can I ask? I humbled myself to ask people, ask family, ask people. And really, at the time, I was a little bit overly aggressive, and I didn't end up getting the money from them. But at least I gave it an effort.
You know what I mean? I gave it an effort, as humbling as it was. And I started coming up with ideas. Now, in that specific situation, what I did was I basically figured, okay, how can I get the money? Who can I borrow the money from?
Who might be able to co-sign something for me? Who might be able to lend me something? Who might be able to help me, introduce me to someone who could help me raise the money? What might I be able to sell? What can I sell?
What can I do? Who can I help make a sale? I was doing everything. I was willing and able to do anything because my foundation was right. Now, out of all those things, I did a lot of them.
But of all those things, the one that was one of the biggest was this. There was somebody who had the money, and they probably weren't going to give it to me because it was a little bit risky. An unsecured loan to a guy. They really didn't know. It was a little bit risky.
So here's what I did. I told him. I said, look, rather than this being risky, let me prove to you that I'm a good investment. Let me prove to you that I'm a good ROI. I'm a good return on investment.
So what I did was I said, here's this. There's a meeting every Thursday at this hotel for this business opportunity. I said, let me prove to you that I'm a good investment. I said, for two weeks straight, I'm going to have the most guests of anybody at this meeting, and you'll see on the guest list. I said, on top of that.
I said, on top of that, every single time, I'll introduce you. I won't introduce you as — I'll just introduce you as a fellow community member, and I'm going to start introducing you to people every single week to show you how serious I am about this. Now, that's the idea I came up with at the time. I might have done it way different now, but what I did was I went aggressive with 100% confidence, 100% confidence that I was going to get the money, and I literally invited back-to-back, two weeks in a row, about 30 people to each of those meetings using Craigslist, using networking, using word of mouth, using whatever. I literally invited every single person I knew.
I took massive action, flooded the room over half the guests. I was double. I was double what anybody else had at the meeting, and all my guests were sitting front row. I told them to dress sharp. It was like I was dress sharp, show up early.
Here's exactly what we're going to do, and I was getting people there. Now, how did I get 30 people to an event? Heck, I was inviting like 100, and most of the people were flaking on me. I had the highest no-show rate of anybody. I think in the history of that company.
I just played such big numbers that I got enough people there, and then every single one of them, that person that was my potential money partner, they were looking going, well, heck, this guy's a great ROI. I can invest in this guy. What I did was he saw belief and proof, and he met these people, and he saw that these people were ready to buy the product too, and he goes, you know what? It was unseemly. He took a big risk on me, but that risk paid off.
I paid him off in three months with interest. I think I gave him a little bit extra, and he believed in me, and I went and took that opportunity from being in a negative bank account, a 485 credit score, getting evicted from my house, almost getting evicted from an apartment we were renting. The world was collapsing around me. I was struggling to keep my cell phone on, and I went from that situation to gambling on this opportunity. The most I had ever done was stuff like Amway, where I basically sold soap and vitamins and did house meetings at people's houses, but I'd never done this sort of $20,000 product or $10,000.
The biggest product I was selling was like a $250 get-started kit, so this was new to me. This was new. Something like that the next month. My life changed around completely. I was given the opportunity.
The door had opened. I recognized that this was a real opportunity. It was real. I went from a drastically dead-end situation where everything was falling apart to making half a million dollars in commissions inside of 12 months. With that company, it was just a whirlwind because I was taking so much massive action, I didn't ever even stop to figure out what was going on.
We grew that thing. We built it. It was a blast. There's even a couple people, not many, but there's a couple people on this call that were even from that company and saw what had happened. They can testify on behalf of that being a true story.
Everywhere I went on stage, whenever I spoke or did anything, I would always tell people, never say I can't. Always say how. Can I? Because those three words open up the... How can I?
How can I? How can we fix the technology next week? How can we get the money to go all in? That's the key. One idea might be just to write down 20 things on a piece of paper of how you can solve the problem you face.
Chris, you're still breaking up. Nobody can hear you. I'm not sure they can hear me either. I'm trying. I'm trying to interject myself to accommodate what might be the problem.
So, if you can dial back in, that'd be great. You're still breaking up. I'm here. I don't know if you can hear me. I can now.
Okay. I broke up there. So, I guess that's the time to transition out of what I was saying, but I don't know how much of that got cut out or not, but where did you last hear me? You got to where you were saying, instead of saying I can't, always say, how can I? Yeah.
Just say, how can I? So, I mean, let me ask you this. There's a couple people on the call. I don't know if they're still on the call because they were East Coast, but let me ask you this. If there's anybody on the call that happened to be with me in that last company, would you mind jumping out and just giving, even if it's just for a minute, just sharing a testimony.
If you happen to see that story with your own eyes, just come in and verify that. Just come in and share. Press star six. Jump out and just share. Just share.
Even if it was just from a standby perspective of, you know, hey, that's real. This is Robert from San Bernardino. Hey, how's it going? Can you hear me? It's going great, Chris.
I just want to jump in and verify everything that Chris has said is 100% true. I admired watching him get up on stage, pulling what he did, and started, and knowing his whole story, everything that he has told you, I know the story for a fact. This man is amazing. He's a go-getter. He's a go-getter.
And I am glad to be underneath him and following in his footsteps. Right on. Yeah, thanks for jumping out, Raul. This is, you know, and I'm not saying that, like, I'm not even saying that anybody here doubts that story is real. That's not why I had him jump out.
And if anybody else wants to jump out, I don't know if anybody else from that era wants to jump out. Hey, Chris, this is Shane. Hey, Shane. Hey, Chris, this is Shane Perkins. How you doing, Shane?
How's it going? Doing good, man. Fantastic. Well, not much. I was there and worked in that company with you and actually went out and helped you open a new territory with that company and absolutely enjoyed it.
And I am not a network marketing guy at all. I don't like lotions and potions and pills and protein shakes and all of the other kind. I just don't. And when you introduced this company to me, you know, your words were, I found it again. And I had a lot of success with the previous company and it was because of your introduction to it.
And so I was there for a lot of that. I enjoyed it. It was a blast. One of the funnest times of my life was, you know, all the times that we got together as leaders in that company and it was just fun. And yeah, we made money, but it was just, it was fun too.
And I enjoyed it. And we're going to do it. We're going to do it again. Well, Shane, stay on for a second. First of all, I love what you said.
The reason we had success is because we made that business fun. And that's something, there's a key element there. That's something for everybody to keep in mind too. You know, the more you make the business fun, the more people wake up and they enjoy wanting to do it, the more success you're going to breed. And then on top of that, the other thing that I wanted to talk about is, just real quick, just the story.
Okay. So I lived in Northern California. At the time you joined, you were in California. At the time you joined, you were in California. At the time you jumped in that company, Shane, what city and state did you live in?
I lived in Montgomery, Texas, which is north of Houston. So you lived in Montgomery, north of Houston. So just outside of Houston, I lived in Northern California. Now, did we know each other before that business at all? No.
No. That was, it was a Craigslist ad that you had placed that was our introduction. Okay. So what I had done was this. Now, get this straight.
What I had done was this. I was going out to Austin to try to, like, there was a meeting, there was a conference that was going to be out there. I went out there and I said, you know, if I'm going to be going all the way out there to Austin, you know, I might as well place some ads in those neighboring cities and see if there's anybody out there interested. So what I did was I placed some Craigslist ads. I think I placed a couple of newspaper ads just to get a feeler out there.
Okay. Now, when I placed an ad in Houston at that time, I had received major, just tons and tons of people were responding. So I thought to myself, there's a market here. So what I did was I flew. I flew out to, or I actually drove from Austin.
Chris, you're cutting out again. I don't know, but you're starting to cut out again. Oh, sorry about that. Can you hear me? Yes.
Okay. Man, I apologize to everybody for the difficulties on this call, but, you know, there's only so much I can do. So I guess maybe I'll shorten the point there. The main point I wanted to make was that you came off of a Craigslist ad in a city that I knew nobody, and I went out there, and you came. And when you went in on that business, did you go, did you just put your feet in the, you know, put your toe in the water, or did you go all in?
All in, yeah. I mean, I left the very first meeting, and my gut reaction was, well, I told you. I'm going to do, due diligence had not been completed. I said, I'm going to do my due diligence. If this is real, I'm all in, and I was all in.
Came out to Sacramento, and I got all in, 20 grand, same entrance cost that you paid. So here, this is an industry. Interesting story, because this is a completely different company, and we're not in this company anymore. This is a completely different company. I just love the parallel.
I placed an online advertisement, which there's many of you these days, and Shane Perkins responded. Now, I happen to be out there in person, so that's why I placed it in that area. I was going to be out there traveling anyways. So we met up. He said, hey, this sounds good.
And then I told him the next step was to fly out. If he was really serious, he should fly back to my city, where we were going to be having a conference, and he could come, and he could see it with his own eyes. So he did. He purchased a plane ticket. He flew out.
He came to the conference. I'm pretty sure he paid all on his own dime. You paid my way into the conference. You paid my ticket. I bought his conference ticket as long as he flew out there.
There you go. I bought his conference ticket. That was my incentive, and he came out. He saw the conference and said, all right, I'm all in. Now, at that time, it was around a $16,000 or $20,000 buy-in.
So I just want to point out that. So online advertising, meeting people, high-ticket items, this stuff works. Now, did I get a little bit lucky? Sure. I placed other ads there, and not everybody went all in.
And those people aren't here on the phone for me to share that story with you. So it's a little bit of luck. I mean, it's a little bit of luck. It's a little bit of skill, meaning that I placed an ad that caught his eye. I'm following the kind of same stuff that Arthur Tubman teaches, the same basic stuff.
It's a little bit of luck, a little bit of skill. And a lot of people. A lot of persistence, meaning that I took so much massive action that at the time, Shane could have fallen through. Here's a guy that was getting ready to go all in. Shane could have fallen through and said, hey, I'm not going to go all in.
And I still would have got several people all in that month in that company because I was just taking massive action. So at the time, I had so much — the pipeline was so full that's also what makes it appealing for people to join with you. I mean, Shane, wouldn't you agree that one of the reasons why you joined was the opportunity, but one of the other reasons was you could see with your own eyes that I was having success with it, and you could see I had a whole bunch of other people that are also looking to join with me. So it was sort of this social proof that it was working and that you could have success. Wouldn't you agree?
I would agree, and I would even further that with what I saw when I went out there. And I think it parallels with this company too is normally, and the reason I'm not a network marketing guy and all of that, because all I've ever really seen is there's a few people at the top that are making money and a lot of worker bees, so to speak, out doing a lot of the work, and the money seems to flow to the top. And so that particular company, when I visited out to Sacramento, that conference was — it wasn't huge because it was just a regional conference, but it was an awards banquet after some of the training, one night that I was also invited to. And by the time they finished that awards banquet, literally 80% to 90% of the people in that room were making money, and it was a happy group of people. And so I saw something different, and I see the same thing here.
If you work, if you just follow the system and come in and do the work and just — you can make money. It's not all flowing somewhere else. When you make a sale, it's coming to you. And so that's the parallel that I see as well, and I just wanted to point that out. Yeah, absolutely.
I love the parallels because in that company, we were paid 50% commissions instead of 100% commissions. That's one thing. So this is 100% commissions, twice as good. In that company, it was a $20,000 buy-in, which alienated so many people. Yeah.
There was literally hundreds and hundreds of people that just flat out wanted to join, and if it was half the price or a quarter of the price, they would have. In this company, we allow everyone to have a chance at joining. We allow everyone to join, and those that want to upgrade and participate at the high ticket level, they can, and they can make big money. So that's another thing that's significantly better about this. And then the third thing that I want to say that's significantly better about this is that in that company — and this is going to sound crazy to some of you — but in that company, the comp plan was buy one, sell two, the rest go to you.
So literally, you had to drop $20,000 — well, at that time, $16,000 in the beginning. You had to drop $16,000, which was the top product. I got in right in the beginning when it was $20,000. It was $20,000. So basically, what it was, it was two products.
It was like a $16,000, and it was a $3,500 product. And the point was that you had to buy two. You got paid zero. You got paid nothing. So your first two sales, you just went and sold someone.
They just spent $16,000. You didn't make a dime. And then you went and sold another person for $16,000. They didn't make a dime. And get this.
You didn't just pass up the commission, but you also passed up the person completely. So you also lost people in that company. So really, your first four people, you passed up completely in all their future sales before you even started making money. Now, and then at that point, you only started making 50% commission instead of 100%. So we were doing backflips of excitement over how amazing and awesome that compensation plan was.
I mean, backflips. I mean, we had never seen anything that good in our lives, and people were making money because they were so good. Now, here's a compensation plan that is double or triple or five times better, and that compensation plan did not allow for residuals. So when I enrolled, Shane, you know, I got a commission when he enrolled, and I got a commission off his first couple sales. But after that, I never made another dime off of Shane Perkins.
So I continued to help him in that company, kind of out of friendship as we built a community. But he kept all the rest of the sales to himself. So my financially vested interest in Shane kind of dropped, and to a certain extent, Shane was on his own, other than, you know, the community support. Whereas in this company, they set it up so it's an 80-20 benefit. Where, you know, if I enroll Shane, you know, he keeps four sales, and then the fifth commission rolls to me.
He keeps four, and the fifth commission rolls to me. And so it's kind of, he keeps 80%, and I make 20%. Now, that keeps me financially engaged in his long-term success. So now, you know, when I look at this, that's far better. I'd much rather have a long-term person, you know, that I can have there that has a financially vested interest in my success, and I'd much rather have a long-term financially vested interest in the success of my people that I bring to the company.
So I have a reason to keep providing new training, keep providing help, keep providing calls like this. See, if everybody just broke away from me, and I didn't make any money, then why would I continue to have calls like this? This would be, I'd be wasting time. But since I know there's a certain amount of people on calls like this that I can continue to earn, you know, income from by helping them, it increases my motivation to continue to do this, and it increases your motivation to continue to help your team. So when I look at the comparison between that competition, and the compensation plan that we were doing backflips over in this one, this is light years ahead, far better, and it's just so much more exciting than anything we ever did.
And I know everybody sees it. Again, I'm preaching to the choir. I know everybody sees it. But I'm really thankful that a few people from that old company decided to jump over and jump in with us here. And Shane, are we going to be seeing you in Austin, Texas at the event?
Absolutely. I'll be there. Right on. Looking forward to it. Yeah, I live in Colorado now, so I'll be flying down.
Right on. Well, yeah, you still live in the same city in Colorado, right? I went out there, and you live in the dream life out there. I'll put it that way. Yeah, if you want to call it a city.
1,800 people. Well, it's 1,800, but for your lifestyle, for what you do, it's the dream life. Just living it and enjoying it. It is. So thanks for coming out.
Thanks for sharing. Well, listen, even though the calls have gotten long, because of the tech support issues and the back-and-forth stuff, here's what I'll do. We'll allow one more question. So if one more person's been on this line this long, and they've been on this line this long, they feel like they had a question, they wanted to get answered, we'll do one more, and then that's it. And then we're going to wrap up the call for the night, and everybody get back to their income-producing activities.
So if anybody wants to hit star six and come out, feel free to ask a final question. Just hit star six on your phone. The time's ticking down. Who wants to be a take-massive-action person? Who's going to be the first take-massive-action person to hit star six and come out and ask a question?
Hey, I'll come back on. There you go. I would just ask you. Yeah. I would just ask you, for the average person that is starting Empower Network that knows nothing about it, what would you tell them to do for their first 30 days?
If this was your first day in Empower Network, what I would tell you to do is I would tell you to... Correct. Yes, yes, yes, yes. If it was your first day, I would tell you to get... I'd tell you to buy the Inner Circle.
You're going to unlock some team bonuses that we have, and one of those team bonuses is the income-producing activities training that I did. It's one of these Inner Circle calls where I've outlined all the Inner Circle, all the specific income-producing activities that I did in my first 30 days that helped me to have the success that I'm having now. And in fact, I usually do those same income-producing activities now. So I've learned some very specific activities that have helped me to make a ton of money. I outlined those in detail.
I think it's week number four of the calls, but who knows? It's one of those weeks. It's called income-producing activities. So what a new person would do is this. I would say, look.
You want to model after these income-producing activities that Chris Record did. This guy's gone on to have months as high as $40,000 in his business part-time while working a full-time career and two kids under two. So he has very little time to focus. So he learned how to focus on some income-producing activities to help him have massive success. He did a training and taught exactly what those activities were, and the recording is available in our Team Take Massive Action in our back office there.
So to unlock it, it's available only for Inner Circle members. So if you're serious about wanting to grow your business, I highly suggest grabbing the Inner Circle and listening to that recording. Heck, listen to it three or four times if you have to. And there's tons of other great recordings there as well. There's Q&A sessions.
There's sessions with different leaders, all teaching their strategies of what's working in today's market. So you definitely want to listen to those. Now, the second thing I would do is I would get your conference ticket because every time there's a conference, we put team bonuses on the purchase of a conference ticket. So if you get your conference ticket, you're going to unlock additional team bonuses that are going to help you with different marketing funnels and different things, just stuff that's going to really help you out to grow your business. So get at the very basic level in your first 30 days.
Of course, go all in if you can, but at the very basic level, get your conference ticket and get your Inner Circle so you can take advantage of those two resources, the bonus resources and the income-producing activities training. Now, after you've gone through that training, listen to it as many times as you want, you'll be equipped with a specific game plan where you can go and create, hopefully, a very significant income for yourself here with Team Take Massive Action. I would say, look, this guy, Chris Record, has obviously proven what works in an hour or two a day. He laid it all out for us. I would say jump on in, listen to that, and just take massive action on it.
And then if you have any questions, go to the Facebook group and ask them. So that's what I would tell somebody. Now, at that point, the ball's in their court. They can either choose to follow those strategies or not. They can either choose to go to the Facebook group and ask their questions or not.
The ball is in their court. Success is in their hands. The average person, even if they're a high school dropout, even if they were raised on welfare and Section 8 and food stamps, it doesn't matter. The average person, even if they had a negative bank account and a 485 credit score, heck, even if somebody was born in a teepee in the woods, they can have success with this system as long as they follow the system. And if they choose to drift off, then they're...
then that's not really your responsibility. You can only do so much. Your responsibility is to lead by example and go out there and keep producing. And when new people join, steer them in the right direction and let them figure out if they're actually going to follow the steps or not. And if they don't follow the steps, don't spend your time with them.
If they do follow the steps and they're busy and they're producing, then they've earned your time and you're making a good ROI on your time. So that would be my way and my tip on how to help people in their first day and their first 30 days in the business. Now, if any other leaders, anybody wants to jump out and wrap this call up and with any final thoughts of anything being said, or hey, if anybody just wants to come out and just give a testimonial if you thought this call was helpful or not, come on out and just share any thoughts. I'm going to go ahead and say, anybody can hit star six. It doesn't matter who you are.
Jump on out and share anything that you like. Can you hear me? Yes. Hey, yeah, it's real simple. Let's don't reinvent the wheel here, people.
It's already right there. Chris has got it dialed in. No sense in reinventing it.
Awesome words. Anybody else want to jump out before we wrap up? Hey, Chris, this is Judd. I just want to thank you for such great training. I've taken a bunch of notes and I'm going to go back and listen to your first inner circle tape about income producing activity because I think that tape was so awesome.
This will be about my fourth or fifth time to listen to it. But I want to refresh that in my memory and I'm going to go listen to it again tomorrow morning and I also really enjoyed your comments about don't say I can't, rather say how can I, how can I, how can I. Chris, thanks so very much. I sure appreciate it. Right on.
You're welcome, Judd. Anybody else want to jump out? Just press star six. You want to jump out and say anything before we wrap up? Hello, this is Sam Cafaro from Pomona, California.
What's up, Sam? I just wanted to say this is a great call. Awesome. What did you like best? I liked the fact that you go over things over and over again about the, shoot, well, I like the whole call although I've only been on for about 40 minutes.
But I'm pretty sure I'll listen to the call again. Oh, yeah. Well, this will be, so this call will be available in the inner circle section on Team Take Massive Action. So anybody can go to teamtakemassiveaction.com forward slash inner circle.
And as long as they're an inner circle member and have been verified, they'll be able to listen to the recording of this call. I like to put it up the same night. Sometimes if there's a technical issue, we put it up the next day or so. But thanks for jumping on out, Sam. I know you're new in the business and reengaged and re-excited.
So appreciate you. Anybody else want to jump out? Just hit star six if you want to jump out. Yeah, Chris, I just wanted to say this is a great call. This is Hayden.
Hayden, what's going on? Are you calling in from the East Coast? Actually, right now I'm in Mexico. Oh, down in Mexico. Right on.
So, yeah, I appreciate you for being on the call. So I'm glad you enjoyed it. Was there anything specific that stood out that you felt you gained some value from? Well, I mean, I think I gained value every time you speak. And hearing everyone else speak, I thought it was really, really, like, good.
I learned everything. Or I learned a lot. And I'm always learning more when I hear everyone speak. So I think it was a very great call. I just wanted to actually say thank you.
Appreciate that. Appreciate that. All right. Anybody else want to jump out and share? All right.
Anybody else want to share before we wrap up the call? Just giving everybody a chance if they want to, if anybody wants to say anything. I know there's a bunch of people still on. Well, Chris, this is Shane again.
And I just, you know, I remember something you told me one time, too, that really helped a lot. And, you know, with these calls, with Empower Network, with the Take Massive Action calls and all of that, instead of making that decision every time there's a call to, you know, am I going to get on this call? And, well, I don't know about this time. Or am I going to go to this? Just go ahead and make one decision now.
Just get on all of them. I mean, that's the very best way to succeed is to just get involved and just make it easy on yourself and make the decision one time. Don't make a decision each time. Just make it now. Get on all of them.
Right on. Right on. Those good words right there. Make one decision instead of having to make several decisions. The time you would have spent on whether or not to do things, the time and energy spent on that time and time and time again, take all that time and energy and apply it on income-producing activities, and that's one of the fastest ways to increase your income.
Make one decision. Spend the rest of your time making money. It's that easy. So good words there. All right.
Anybody else want to jump out before we wrap up? Still see a ton of people still on with us. Heather, what's going on? I just wanted to say I really appreciate having a Q&A. It's great to hear, like, how-tos.
I really enjoyed last week's call. But it's also great to have Q&As where we can just ask questions and just get another perspective on things. Right on. Now, Heather, would you mind staying on for a second? And if everybody else is still on the call, don't log off quite yet.
I want to just ask something. I want to share something. But, Heather, the other day you were saying that, you know, you basically went all in and even committed to a conference ticket, but getting to the conference was, getting to the conference itself was difficult. You're looking for flights and stuff like that, right? Was that all resolved or are you still looking for options?
I actually got a flight, so I'm super stoked about that. I'm still looking for a hotel room. I put out a couple times that you suggested to share a room with people, so I'm looking to share a room with, like, two people or so. Got it, got it. And how much did you end up finding a flight for from San Diego to Texas?
I found it for, I believe it was $2.20. I actually had a $100 gift certificate from Southwest, so I actually got it for, like, $112. Right on, right on. Well, here's something I want to use as an opportunity to hopefully help inspire some people or do some things, which is Heather took massive action with her business, and even when times were difficult to try to get to the conference, she figured out a way to make it happen. And, you know, there wasn't really a lifeline.
There was, like, she just had to figure it out and make it happen. So here's what happens. Sometimes when you take massive action, you get awesome rewards in advance. And one thing that I like to do every single conference, every single event that we do is just try to help people whenever I can. I know that there was somebody on our team in San Diego I helped be able to put together a hotel room and stuff like that.
So, Heather, what I want to do, and anybody else who's listening can listen in right now and just, you know, and basically just, you know, hopefully gain some value. But, Heather, what I want to do right now is I want to offer you, you can contact me privately outside of this, but I'd like to offer a $300 reimbursement to you for your flight ticket and hopefully any additional money that you can use towards the hotel. Consider it just a charitable gift. I wanted to gift it to somebody on the team. I heard your story.
I thought it made a lot of sense. And, you know, you're in a position right now where you're hustling hard to grow. You're a business. So I like to be a philanthropist and donate money when I can. And when I saw that you were in that situation, when I saw you really wanted it and you were hustling and you were willing to make it happen no matter what, I wanted to see it first if you would take massive action and actually get it done or if you were going to let excusitis kind of overtake you and become an I can't type of person.
And so right now you told me you made it happen. You found the flight. You're still looking for the hotel despite the odds that I know you're going for. So I want to reward that. So privately outside of this conversation, I want you to send me your paper.
And I want to reimburse you $300 towards airfare and hotel to be able to help get you there to the event. I want to try to do that every single event for at least one person, if not more. So, Heather, I hope that you'll accept that gift from me, and I hope that you'll contact me outside, and I hope that $300 will help you out a lot more towards getting off. Wow, Chris, that's so awesome. Thank you so much.
I'm so excited for Austin and so much more. I can do this, Chris. I can't thank you enough. No, no, no. Look, it's the least I could do.
Listen, here's all I ask in return from you is that when you get to a place where you are starting to make some money and things are starting to come together, you know, you don't want to be a crutch to everybody. You don't want to be throwing money to everybody. But when you see that you have people that are taking massive action and doing it, reward them. Reward their attitude and reward their efforts. See, if you would have told me, Chris, I just can't go to the conference.
I tried. You don't understand. Lights are too much and this and that. I'm just going to have to skip this one. Then I would not have said, well, here, let me help you go.
You know, what I wanted to do was I wanted to reward the attitude. You said, hey, look, I'm going to figure out a way to make this thing happen. I got a flight for $200. You know, I'm still working on hotel rooms looking to get people to share. You ran into a situation and you posted it in Facebook where things were really tough.
And you know what? You took massive action and overcame it. And that's the attitude I like to reward. So I want to encourage everybody on this call. As you start to make money, as you start to do things, leverage that money to be able to go help people.
It's not all about just how much money you can make. It's about how many people you can help in the community. So, Heather, you got $300 coming your way. It's just a Team Take Massive Action gift from me to you and really from the team to you just for being an awesome team player and just for wanting to make it happen. So I look forward to meeting you in person in Texas.
So are you excited? I'm so excited. Thanks again so much. I look so much forward to — wow, I can't talk. I look forward to it.
I look forward to it. I look forward to meeting you in Austin and thanking you in person. Right on, right on. Well, I look forward to meeting you there too. We will be seeing each other.
Awesome. Okay, you guys, we're getting ready to wrap up the call. And Heather is going to be seeing us in Texas. Everyone else is going to be seeing us in Texas. If anybody else wants to jump out and say anything that's on your mind, now would be the time to say it.
And let me go ahead and — I'm actually just going to unmute everybody. It might get loud, but feel free to jump out. Okay, everybody should be unmuted. Feel free to jump out and say anything you want. I just want to say I'm very blessed to be here with you, Ken.
I'm excited, and I can't wait to get to Austin with this Keisha. It's going to be a very good time. Right on, right on. Thanks. Everybody say what you want.
It's going to be a very, very good time. Hi, this is Patty in Chicago. I'm also looking for a roommate to sit down with. Can anybody hear me? Yeah, we can hear you.
No, I need a roommate too, okay? All right, awesome. Yeah. We're going to be — people are going to be looking for a room. Post it in the Facebook group.
Tell people you're looking for a room. We'll see if we can match you up. Okay. And is there anybody out here in Chicago I can meet with once in a while? Yeah, there's a ton of people in Chicago in Empower Network.
Just search like Empower Network Chicago or ask around in the Facebook group and find out who's from Chicago. We'll do that. The Facebook group is the best place for that because there's like over 1,000 members there, and it's easier to get — it's easier to find out what's going on. Right now, people are dropping off this call kind of by the second. There's only a few dozen people left.
Cool, thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the call. Anybody else want to jump out? Oh, did I mute everybody again? All right, unmute.
All right, you guys, look. I'm just going to wrap up the call, and we're going to take it from there. I'm glad everybody enjoyed it. I'll see you guys in the Facebook group. Take care.
Take care.
