Welcome to this exclusive Empower Network Inner Circle interview, and because you're listening to this, you're in the right place at the right time. My name is Chris Rushlow, your host, your designated driver through Internet land, and I'm extremely excited to have our guest on the show today. A few quick things to keep in mind. Let's block out all distractions. Tune out all background noises.
I know for a lot of us, we suffer from disconnection anxiety, and we have a hard time turning off our cell phones and checking email every 10 minutes. But this is the one thing that you don't want to disconnect from and miss out on right now. So if you're at a computer, you might want to just open up a Word document, or if you prefer, get out your notebook and be prepared to take some notes. Or if you're driving, you might just want to slow down a bit and listen intentionally rather than trying to pass the car in front of you. And you'll absolutely love who we have on the show today.
I'm really excited to have our special guest today, Tracy Walker. For those of you who don't know, Tracy Walker is an expert Internet network. She's an expert marketer specializing in social media and online lead generation. She has an MBA in marketing and has found that most of her success comes from knowing how to find the right people. And not only is she a top producer in the field, but she enjoys helping and coaching others to realize massive success in their business as well.
Tracy has quickly climbed the ranks of the Empower Network, and we are honored to be able to have her take the time to tell us how she did it and how you can do the same. So without further ado, Tracy, how are you? Chris, I am so excited to know. What a wonderful introduction. I'm so pleased to hear you.
I'm so glad to hear that. It's so nice. Oh, you're welcome. Yeah, we try here to set the tone here well for everyone. And, you know, I'm just really, really happy to get a chance to finally talk with you.
You know, you and I have only, you know, talked a few quick minutes before, but had never had a chance to really connect. So I'm really excited about this personally myself. And I know that we're going to be able to have some fun today doing this. So, Tracy, tell me, tell me your story as how you came into the network marketing industry and the Internet marketing industry. OK, I'd love to.
I'm going to give the condensed, abridged version of this so that we do not bore people with all the mundane things that take place. But I had a master's degree in business, a concentration in marketing. I went into corporate America and my goal initially was to be a chief marketing officer to work at a huge firm and kind of provide the services that, you know, went along with a master's degree, I guess. And once I came out of school, I started working full time. And within my very first few months, Chris, I knew this was not going to be the environment for me.
There was too much. I mean, don't get me wrong. There are politics everywhere. But I mean, the politics in terms of, oh, your degree is more than my degree. But because you make more than me, I'm going to, you know, treat your ideas as if they're inferior.
I'm not going to allow you to come to the conference calls, the meetings, those types of things. I began to see that it was really crab in a jar because everyone's position depended on someone else not being smarter or better than the other. It wasn't a collective effort overall. So I continued on with that. After September the 11th took place in 2001, I was, my company went through a series of transitions, layoffs.
I was laid off in February of 2002. And I will tell you that was one of the best decisions that company could have ever made because it freed me and I was excited about it. I wasn't afraid to be laid off. I wasn't a fool. So I was not going to quit.
Because then at least. So I wouldn't, I wouldn't be able to have the severance or the unemployment, right? So I stayed on through these layoffs and then finally got, you know, got my papers and I took off that day feeling free of it as a bird. And I just never looked back. So February 2002 is when I started my full-time entrepreneurial journey.
Started a real estate investment company that did extremely well from 2002 up to about 2006. Had the opportunity, I mean, all under the age of 30 to, you know, build my own 3,500 square feet. We had a three square foot house from the ground up in the suburbs of Chicago, three luxury cars, we had trips, we had jewelry, we had all the different things that just is exciting. And your friends are looking at that. They're like, what the heck are you doing?
You know, because everybody else is working, we're having fun doing real estate. Well, the market took a downturn and affected our income drastically in terms of we had a lot of deals in the pipeline that we could not cash out because the way the laws had changed. So we were sitting on just, we couldn't get any of our money out. So I was introduced to network marketing in general by a very, very good friend of mine. He was a mortgage broker and we went to college together and he introduced it to me as a way that we could supplement our incomes because he was feeling a lot of the wrath as well on the mortgage side of things.
I signed up, I was quickly thrust into the presenting mode of things. So every Tuesday, I found out about on a Sunday that two days later on that Tuesday, my sponsor threw me up in front of the group and I started sending that business that I just signed up in 48 hours prior. I started presenting Tuesdays and Thursdays that lasted for about a year, did trainings on Saturdays and Saturdays once a month. And it was a phenomenal learning lesson. And I grew so much.
I realized that network marketing was definitely my platform, maybe my calling in terms of some of the other things that I wanted to do. I turned to the Internet in March of 2008 because I wanted to leverage myself. Many people come to the Internet for leads or want to talk to more people. That really wasn't my situation. I was already somewhat of a leader, I guess, in this company, and I didn't have a problem communicating with people or finding people.
My problem was I was doing all the ripping and running. I wanted to find a way that I could do a presentation on a video and then be able to send this video to my people so that I didn't physically have to do it and be course three, four days out of the week. And that's what brought me to the Internet. That's how I kind of got immersed into Internet marketing and learning about funding proposals and blogs and articles and traffic and just lead generation and a whole wealth of information tapped into a wonderful guy, Dagan Smith. He agreed to work with me.
I followed his every move. I did exactly what he told me to do. That led me to within that year, I was offered a book publishing deal where I wrote a chapter on leadership, amongst other co-authors in this book with Ben Gay and Ivan Meisner of the great networking group, and it just started meeting so many different people. Plugged into an Internet marketing system, I was able to quickly gain some momentum there, becoming one of the top leaders in that particular system, achieving a great level of success there, helping a lot of people that in turn allowed me to start recruiting a lot into my business because people wanted to work with the person that had the goods. Right.
And so I guess I was that person that started to recruit into my businesses and I recruited over several hundred people into the two or three businesses that I've been a part of. And something that I've noticed. Along that journey, Chris, was that no matter how much I shared, no matter how much I trained, no matter how many webinars or conference calls or trainings or whatever I put together, there was still something missing in the marketplace. People wanted to do what they saw us doing, had no idea what it took for us to do it, though. And as we worked our butts off to try to consolidate and make it concise and easy and simplified, it just wasn't working.
So bring this full speed up to present day. Just last month. David Wood and David Sharp and myself were speaking at a conference. Well, they would and I were speaking in a sharp was there was being at a conference and prior to us getting there, they would was talking to me on Skype. So, hey, I want to talk to you about a couple of things.
Let's meet up in Orlando. Got to Orlando. Got a little bit of the gist of what he was working on with Dave Sharp. Didn't get the full picture because I was all over the place. Came back home, got on Skype with Dave Sharp and Dave Wood.
They broke down the premise of Empower Network to me. And what they were looking to do with it, what their vision was for it, pretty much invited me to lock arms with them on this on this in this movement, I would say. And I saw the value right away. So I bought everything, as Dave always says, buy everything. I bought everything, every single level and got started marketing probably like on the day before the launch.
OK, the day before the launch, I was pretty much ready to rock and roll. And that's how I got. I got to Empower Network primarily through the relationships of knowing Dave Wood, seeing what he's been able to do at the time that he's been online. He's certainly a powerhouse, a genius in his own right. I've always admired his work, could never match it, didn't know what the hell that man had going on.
And I just couldn't figure it out. We never had a chance to work together. Empower Network brought that brought that to a reality. And now so many of us that have been in different companies, different priorities, different whatever. It gives us all the chance.
To work with all of our markets and people together, benefit one another. And so that's how I got to Empower Network. Chris, I hope that I hope that was the concise version. Oh, well, you know, that's concise for Tracy Walker, which, you know, is exceptional in its own right. So, you know, that's OK.
That's awesome. That's really, really good. And that's what we were looking for. So absolutely. You know, let's let's take a look at it from this route first.
You know, you got into Empower Network. You've obviously done very, very well already. What do you see, if any, any difference in this movement versus and not necessarily versus. But what is different from here that you haven't seen anywhere else, if anything? Oh, the number one thing that I can attribute it to is that we can now focus on marketing activities.
We can focus on generating income. We can focus on income producing activities. You see, it's in other programs, other systems. And there's of course, there's nothing negative or nothing to knock them. It just absolutely.
Absolutely. They have different purposes and different needs, and they are addressed different needs. Empower Network gets right down to the nitty gritty of let's market. OK, let's cut out all the learning at this point. Learn a couple of things, but let's market.
Let's cut out all the set up time and don't worry about all the monotony behind the code and the banner and the image. And how do I do how do I set up this and how it gets down right to the core of all you have to do. Is let's focus on marketing and now that allows other people like myself and others in the system, we can now work with our groups on the things that matter and it keeps us inspired, too, because if we're constantly talking about, well, this is how you go to the support desk, right? We're probably saying, oh, well, this is how this is where you go to find this. That drains us, too.
And our inspiration dries up. We're unable to provide the value that we really want to. The power network really empowers us, empowers me to be able to help people and teach them the things that I'm doing, as opposed to spending hours and hours on things that really don't matter, that they seem to feel are important in the marketplace. So the difference is going straight for the momentum of the marketing, the activity of generating an income and leaving all that set up and all that other stuff to, you know, empower network to the programmers. We can help people go there.
That's right. Go from day one. It's so cool to see how quickly people have had success in this thing, even in the first week, you know? Yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
So it's something that I've never really seen before, you know, and there's other systems out there that are absolutely great. And obviously, you know, that's something that we really need to keep speaking to as well, is that a lot of people tend to do comparisons and tend to judge and put things, you know, in one box or another. And I've always been saying, and I think you probably share this and feel the same, is that I keep telling people, you can do this in addition to whatever else you're doing. So don't feel like you're taking your loyalties away from what you're doing if you're in a primary network marketing company, if you're in another marketing system, such as, you know, many out there that are really good. And so here we see people still doing all those things and having success.
Isn't that right? Oh, absolutely. And, you know, that is a major concern. That I hear. And so, likewise, I actually took the time and put together a little video about that in terms of linking up these different things that we have.
And I think that if we can help people to understand that there is a connection to them all and then teach them how to integrate their efforts into them, then they will see it from a perspective of a collective effort as opposed to this is a disconnected, this system is disconnected from them. Because it's like a sporadic, just a blotch of stuff everywhere. And so what, you know, kind of how I position Empower Network into my business model is this is the place where generally from the marketing standpoint, this is where I'm pointing the majority of the people. And the reason is because, I mean, even if someone comes to me and says, well, listen, can you help me make money online? Number one, I know for a fact, for a fact with Empower Network that the answer is yes.
Okay. And I know that it's yes without thinking in my mind. Oh, goodness. This person is going to have to be up 12 hours a day like I did. Oh, Lord, this person is going to have to, you know, lose their blog five times before they figure out the code that did it like I did.
Right. And that kind of shuns it away because we're giving off that. Well, I really don't want to tell you the truth about how you're going to have to do it. But, okay, I can help you. Right.
Empower Network, I can drive everyone straight through Empower Network because I know for a fact in my gut they're not going to have to struggle in that way. That's number one. Number two. Number two, I know that they can see a return on their investment extremely fast. Number three, the low cost, the barrier to entry is so inexpensive that if a person is serious about learning the skills and tapping into a network of people that can help them grow, $25 really is going to tell us whether the person is serious or not.
Okay. It is a reachable price point to get started in something like this. So I drive everyone through Empower Network, get them involved. And start with the easiest thing first. Of course, the platform is built on blogging.
Help people get the discipline going with the blogging. Help people understand keyword research and writing content. And just doing that is nothing more. If a person only has one hour or two hours a day, I know that if they just blog daily as we request in Empower Network, they can start to see results. So bringing people in through that level.
And then now that you have a group of people that are kind of a little bit aware of what we're doing, have their feet. A little wet and created results. See, the whole point is in Empower Network, we can help people create results, whether it's $25, whether it's $200, $1,000 or more, we can help people create results. And my belief is that now that there's a result, you can now go out there and brand yourself with a result. See, so many people try to brand themselves and they've done nothing.
They have no leads. They have no signups. They've made no money, but they're trying to brand themselves. Now the question. Because what do I say?
Well, there's nothing you can say because you don't have anything to offer, but if you start with Empower Network, we help you create some results. Now you can go up and you can brand those results. You can attract people to you through the term of, through our market of attraction, marketing, track people to you that want to learn more about how you did what it was that you did. And then you can get them into whatever that system is and plug them into your inner circle. Let them know that now your primary business is literally the place that they need to be in order to work directly.
And then you will give them all the goods. You'll show them all the secrets. You'll show them all the, the, the smoke behind the mirrors. And now that you've got them part of your, your primary business, you now can introduce that person. Start the cycle all over to Empower Network.
So for me, it's a, it's a very streamlined process. And if people look at it as Empower Network is first learn, grow, create results, you go to a system that'll help you to brand yourself. If that's what you choose to do, brand the results that you created in Empower Network, then you use that. That's your marketing platform to drive in more leads to yourself, sign people up into your primary business, because you clearly know how to do something. And then you share that secret of the power network with those people.
So that's my funnel. That's my process. And that's what I'm kind of hoping people kind of grasp and understand. It's all one in the same. Yeah, absolutely.
I think I, you know, it's, it's very true that you and I, and, and others who have been in the industry for a while, we, we understand that, you know, it might even take the, a couple months where we're just still trying to move that image on our. Okay. Log a couple inches over and can't seem to figure that out, you know, and so, you know, Dave and I were having a talk about this and we were saying, you know, what is it that, that holds people up the most? And they said, and it's obviously technical, you know, obviously technical stuff. Cause it really, to, to really know this, you know, I liken it to having to go to college all over again and cramming a four year degree into six months to a year of really understanding things and understanding at least some basic coding and all that stuff and HTML.
And, and all those things that, that really, you know, catch people up. And so I love the way you presented that, that, you know, people can understand that they don't have to worry about that stuff now and they've got it set up for them. And, and the, the real thing that we've been able to teach until this point, up until this point was, was the traffic generation and marketing and blogging strategies. And that's something that we could, we could duplicate very, very easily for people. However, always that technical side.
And then the ability to be able to. To sell once you get them there and convert people and get them to do what you're wanting them to do, whether it's bring them into your primary company, whether it's sell them a product or a program that helped them get going in, in creating traffic or whatever it is they're looking to accomplish. And you can do that now in very streamlined without having to worry about setting all that stuff up. And, and you've got people doing it for you now, you know, I mean, I think it was pretty hilarious. You know, when you look at Dave and, and, and his abilities.
You know, I'll tell you something, it was absolutely hilarious when we were at this, that conference event, you were speaking of there recently, when you saw David Wood and David Sharp, I was backstage with Dave right before he, he went on and you know, and Dave, Dave kind of just, he made his outline and, and he was talking about what he was going to do. And he actually hadn't made the decision on completely what he was going to sell on stage before he went on stage. And so I said to him, Dave, you know, what are you just, what are you going to sell? He says, oh, I'll figure out what I'm going to, what I'm going to sell. I'm going to price it at, when I get on stage.
Okay. Okay. All right. You know, and, and then I said, so, so, you know, what are you going to actually sell them? Oh, well, I think it's, I think it's going to be a webinar series and I'm thinking, okay.
And he goes, yeah, but it doesn't matter. Watch me sell the, sell everybody without them barely even knowing what it is. I'm going to display the power of being able to know how to sell in the right way. so people understand, and I'm going to display this, but I'm going to be able to sell from stage here and people be asking all over the place afterwards. What.
Did I buy, what the heck did I just buy? That's right. And it's very true Tracy, because I was getting that as, as I sat back at the table and I was walking around, people would come up to me and go, what the heck did I buy? What did I get for $47? You know, and I just wanted some, a piece of pizza, whatever Dave had was good enough for $47.
That was phenomenal. Yeah. You know, and, and see, that was one of the secrets to Dave's success before is that he was able to teach the traffic generation using his article marketing methods and, and content. He was able to teach the traffic generation and blog, the blogging model that you have made so famous as well as Dave and, and we knew that we could get them to do that, but the rest of it was, was advanced skill sets and, and the cool thing about Empower Network is that where this is unique is that most of those skill sets have been put in, in, in the place of authority where Dave lives and, and Dave Sharp lives and these people can market this thing and just go out and do what they actually can learn in a short amount of time and, and get results from it and have conversion rates. I mean that, that, that, that video.
converting, I mean, I'm, I think the last number was 22%, Tracy, I mean, and, and so, so you tell me from, from an internet marketing professional that tests your conversions, that, you know, you know, your numbers, tell me what a 22% conversion rate looks like to a, to an expert marketer. Oh my goodness, a 22% conversion rate is great. I mean, I remember, you know, just getting started, working at, if you get a 10% and at least you're, you're in the game, 10% you're in the game, anything less than that. You kind of. On the sideline playing around with it.
so 10% and, you know, whenever we get, results that are upwards of, you know, 20%, you know, there are things that, you know, 27% even at times, 30%, it's mind boggling, it's mind boggling. And I will tell you that the average person, no matter what they do, they may not be able to have something that converts at a 22%, which means that, you know, 22 out of a hundred people opt in or buy, right? 22 people out of a hundred. If you're only getting one or two people out of a hundred, right? Then you can clearly see that even if you're selling the same thing, even if you're blogging every day, even if you're using the exact same keywords, if you don't know how to convert, then your results are going to be horrible.
And you're going to be trying to figure out what it is that you're doing wrong. And it's the ability of making the sale. And so David has purely, clearly mastered that, that process. And I will tell you, you know, I thought I was pretty good at sales. I mean, I have some funnels that are doing, you know, 20%, a couple of things, you know, 26, 27% that I'm excited about.
But I will tell you that a lot of work goes into that for me, right? Because that's not my deal, right? I like to just communicate with people and, you know, show them how to do stuff. And I figured it out over time. But why Empower Network appealed to me as a marketer, as a top marketer already, is that now I don't have to.
I mean, at the end of the day, you know, you got to put your ego aside, right? If I can leverage someone else's skill that's better than mine in that particular area, and then it'll allow me to make more money because I don't have to struggle with trying to become the master in that thing right at this moment, then I would rather do that. See, I don't care about who gets the credit about it, right? At the end of the day, I'm more concerned with the quality of life that I can provide for my family, right? I'm more concerned with, you know, helping people.
I'll get out of that. I'm more concerned with that. And the better that we get at doing that, of course, you know, you'll be able to sell that. But Dave is a master. And I say, well, listen, if I can partner with a master of conversion and I can use my skill of communicating with people and showing them the benefit and training them, if I put that with Dave, we're going to have a slam-dunk deal here.
And that's kind of how I look at it. And it's been a phenomenal ride thus far. And I think that's pretty much where the success is coming from. People can see the different value that all the leaders are bringing to the table. So if they don't have a chance to benefit from it other than in the power network.
Absolutely. Absolutely. You know, I think David Sharp summed it up really well when he said to people, you know, we don't have to be gurus. We can just make money like one. I love that.
I love it. And you know what? It's still less stress. You know what I'm saying? It's less stress.
And what I like to share with people is that, you know, if you know how to do some of these advanced things. If you're already with ranking your content or whatever, go for it, right? This is in no way saying stifle your skill set. But what we are able to do is get the person that has no clue about where to begin on some of those advanced skills and give them a real track to run on that they can still benefit from, too, where there's no disadvantage. You know, there might be an advantage because you know a little bit more, but there's no disadvantage to the person who's just not learning.
I'm excited about that. Yeah, absolutely. And that's funny because you segued right into the next question and just about answered it for me. Oh, yeah. Which I love that always when we can do that.
It was when it was, you know, what would you say to the new person who might, you know, we've had some people that have made a lot of money right away. And a lot of the new people have said to me, well, you know, Chris, they have an existing list and they have created some success before in internet marketing. So how can I, I can't compare myself to them. How can I get started in Empower Network and how can I make money right away in Empower Network? And so, you know, you've been able to answer that really well, you know, but if there's anything else about what you would say to the new person when they're wondering about, well, how much does this involve and what exactly do I have to do and can I actually do this?
Is there anything there that you want to speak to? Oh, sure. This is a great area to tap into because that is a major concern for a lot of people. And you mentioned, you know, how can I compare myself or I can't compare myself. And that is 100% correct.
I advise people to not try to compare themselves to anyone else because there's just no way. But what we all have to remember and understand and accept, regardless, you have to accept that everyone started at square one at some point. Nobody got started and just instantly, you know, did, you know, did. A million dollars with no prior experience, no prior personal development training, no knowledge of Internet. This just doesn't exist.
What we have to remember is that there are always cycles in the marketplace. And I've been online for three years, three years. People have no idea what I went through a phase of going with. There was no money coming in. Right.
People have no idea, like I said, about losing my blog three times. People have no idea how many nights, you know, we cry and stay up. Right. I figure out what the heck is going on. I think even Dave talks about it.
Right. His wife, Ashley, talks about it. You know, he sheds tears sometimes because just, you know, things aren't working the way you want them to. But then if you stay at it, we always hear the phrase, you know, don't ever give up. If you stick at it and you keep pushing, eventually, eventually, something will come along where you'll have a light bulb moment.
Whether it's your idea or whether it's your ability to tap into someone else's idea, it will catapult you. And the timing is irrelevant. Because the new person is just now starting an Empower Network. The only thing they can compare that to would be three years ago when I got started online and didn't know anything either. Can't compare it to today because that's not fair.
Right. You can't be your first day of basketball ever. And then you're saying, well, dang, I want to win six championships like Michael Jordan. You can't. You can't do that to yourself.
Right. That man put in blood, sweat and tears. And so here, what Empower Network has done is pretty much helped as best it could to take away the. The blood and the sweat and the tears part, right? I mean, you're going to have to put some elbow grease in it, but the blood, the sweat and the tears part, I'm not so sure if that's necessary here, but it remains along the lines of consistency.
And so for the new person, just remain consistent with the three steps that we're teaching here. Okay. Watch your fast start training videos, download your core checklist, fill out all that information, get going and blog daily, blog daily. If you remain consistent in that one activity and that effort. And you learn and you tap into these inner circle trainings and you, you're watching the Costa Rica intensive and you're plugging into the webinars that we're doing on a regular basis and the conference calls and you're being part of the mix.
You won't be able to help, but pick up your skillset and implement these things to help your business. And it may take six months. It may take a year. It may take two years, but I'm going to say this to you. What difference would that be for you?
If you never tapped into this at all. If it took you two months. If you never had a job two more years, if you say that your job, two more years, where would you be two years from now, if you learn this and understand this and start generating an income, where would you be two years from now? So it's definitely all worth it. You can't compare yourself to someone else's scale, but what you do have to remember is that everybody started at square one and I don't know a marketer that started and understood everything from day one.
I just don't think it exists. You know, Tracy, if I could take that one clip of what you said in this last piece. And literally put it in a loop and have it loop over five or six times so people could realize, you know, how deep and the understanding of what you just said in so many short, concise words, the power of what you said. It's so important for people to understand that. So important.
People need to need to get that and understand it. You know, it was one thing that I was reading. I read I was reading an email from Mike Dillard, grandfather of attraction marketing. And, you know, he was saying, you know, people expect because I get. I get these results that I can just give them those type of results right away as well.
And then some of them almost get a little resentful when they don't. And he just came straight out on his in his email and said, look, do not chastise me or get on me because you don't have the type of results that you want. You know, so quickly when you do not understand the blood, sweat and tears I have shed, the things I've made myself do, the thousands of people that I called to get over my shyness and all these things that, you know, it literally with no joke. You know, blood, sweat and tears about this stuff. And you put that in so eloquently.
I think this is I mean, wow. You know, and this is so awesome to hear this from someone who's who's been able to do this. You know, Tracy, tell me your thoughts on I mean, have you ever seen a back office getting started training system like the one we have here in Empower Network? Let me get your thoughts on that. Absolutely.
In a good way. I don't think you can get as simple as this. OK. Listen, three step and then you go. There is nothing to think about.
Right. There's nothing to over process. There's nothing. It's it's follow three steps. The back office is phenomenal as far as getting people started.
A few tabs that help people understand the business, you know, where their leads are, who is part of their direct referral program or their pass up program. The different levels that people are purchasing the products at, whether it's the base. I think the inner circle or Costa Rica intensive or whatever it is, you can see all that at a glance. It's not overwhelming. It's not text heavy.
It's not. Oh, my God, I got to do all of this type of feeling. I don't feel that I have not heard that from any of the people that I work with. And I know that it works, Chris, because when you start receiving pass up sales and you start receiving power line level one sale or whatever, I can't even tell you what's going on with this pay plan right now. Me neither.
Second level power line people, people that you don't know that their sponsor, you still don't know. And they're going through this process. They're getting started and they're making a pass up sale, which means that at least they have one sale already. That, for me, brings such joy to my heart, for lack of better words, because I can sleep at night knowing that this is a duplicatable system. As close to duplication, 100 percent duplication as we can get it.
It is that. And I appreciate something that's so simplified and something that's so clean in the back and something that is not overwhelming and overbearing. I certainly appreciate it. And I know that others who have seen, you know, just more comprehensive systems that are really designed for an advanced person. They can see how this basic setup is going to allow them to make a lot of money if they just plug in and have their people plug into.
What would you say to the person who looked at the eight core commitment? And said, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just tell me what to do because I need to, you know, what's going to make me money right now? What do I go do? And then, you know, graze over that because it seems very simple.
The blog daily read for 15 minutes. Can you tell me about the power of doing that every day? And, you know, what those because you see all of those different core commitments back there. And because you've been through this process, you know what that does for people. Can you speak to that at all?
Absolutely. You know, if we step out of the space of Internet marketing. Let's talk about life in general. There are disciplines in our lives that build habits. Okay.
And Tony Robbins talks about it as far as being a one millimeter change. The butterfly effect, if you will. What people I want people to understand and grasp is that there is no jump off of the 100 story building and land gracefully on your feet without breaking your ankles. You're shattering your knees or whatever or killing yourself. Okay.
There that doesn't exist. So same thing here. There is no jumping off of the top and just falling into a big pile of money. Okay. But purely jumping yourself off.
It doesn't work that way. The actual discipline of training yourself to get consistent results is really what builds up over time. It's really those eight core commitments. It's really blog daily. That's what helps over time for you to have content that never goes away.
Post it up. Where you can literally go to the beach and drink a Mai Tai. Okay. If you think you're going to write one article and that's going to be your claim for fame, then you're mistaken. It's going to take the blog daily.
It's going to take the mindset training because what most people do is that they spend most of their time thinking about what they don't want. Right. And then they can't realize they don't understand why they keep getting more of what they don't want. It's because the mind you everything expands what you think about the most. Right.
And what you think about the most is what you get. So if you're constantly thinking about what you don't want or your lack thereof and you're trying to create content and you're trying to be successful, what you're really putting out there is the resistance to receiving what you want. However, if you take that personal development and you start to shift that mind and use little by little 15 minutes a day after about a week, after about two weeks, after about three weeks, you can start to see not just the shift in the way that you think, the way that you think about it. But you can literally start to see a shift in a way that you communicate with people. You can start to see a shift in the way that people communicate now with you.
You can now start to see a shift in your income rising little by little by little. You can start to see a shift in your overall person. And by skipping the things that appear to be, oh, I don't have 15 minutes to do personal development. Oh, I don't need to listen to Jim Rohn. Oh, I need to listen to this.
Where you're shortchanging yourself. You're cutting yourself off at the knees. And you're basically planting a seed where you're not pouring any water on it. And it's not getting any sunlight. And how can you expect a watermelon seed to grow into a watermelon if you never nurture it under the types of conditions that produce healthy watermelon?
It just won't happen. So, in other words, we have a bunch of nasty weeds growing all around our mind right now unless we trim them, huh? Absolutely. And we have to trim them. We have to commit to the core commitments.
That's why they're core, right? Because it's the center. It's the everything of everything. It's where everything stems from. And they're commitments.
They're things that you are going to commit to doing. They're things that you're going to allow yourself to remain accountable to yourself for regardless. You are training for a fight. You are training for a marathon. You have to be committed to going out there every day and doing a certain regimen.
You have to. Or else, when you get to that race, you're going to realize very quickly that you're unprepared. And you're not going to win. And it's the same thing here. This whole system of these core commitments, it's helping to train.
We're in a training momentum and a modality of where we're preparing ourselves for the great success that everyone so desires. And I think that if they skip that, if we skip that and we say, oh, I just want to do what Dave is doing. Oh, I just want to do what Tracy is doing. I just want to do what Chris is doing. And you don't realize that, in fact, that is what we're doing.
That is what we're doing. Then you're going to miss the whole boat. And you're going to be upset. And you're going to be resentful. And you're going to have to have a response.
Someone's going to have to respond to you similar to the way Mike Dillard responded to his market with that exact same thing. Exactly. Yeah. And it's very true. And it's really good to hear you say that because you were somebody that had a lot of success in your prior careers in real estate and what you were doing.
And you were able to achieve an MBA in marketing, which is not easy, as many would think. And so, you know, coming from that background, we know that there is absolutely a personal growth deal around that. That makes everything easier. It helps you learn things easier. It helps you master things easier as well, too.
So, you know, and that's really, really important because the thing that I get a lot from people is, well, what do I blog about? And my thoughts were, you know, well, if you have if you do those eight core commitments every day, then you already will have the wheels turning on exactly what you need to start blogging about and learning about and what position, what direction you've got to be moving your mind towards. And your intention towards, isn't that right? Absolutely. I mean, that kind of goes back to what I said at the very, very beginning of our discussion here, which was that if you haven't done anything in the marketplace, then naturally you're going to question what do you talk about?
Because you're trying to teach people something and you can't teach people things that you don't know. It doesn't mean that you've had to have made a million dollars already. It just means that you can't teach people something that, number one, you're not committed to, that you don't find value in, that you're not implementing into your own life. Or business model. Start with self.
Start adding value to yourself. Start reading more. Start listening more. Start enhancing your skill sets. Start doing some marketing and seeing what happens.
Start tracking some of those things that take place. And that's what you talk about. You talk about your experiences. You talk about what you're finding fascinating in the marketplace. You talk about the questions that people bring to you as a lot of you sharing what you're doing with them.
It all starts to come together from the inside out. Not from the outside in. Absolutely. Yes, yes, yes. I totally agree.
You know, I really like the fact that people would ask me and say, well, you know, I want to find out what I want to blog about, but I want to find a good target market. And I want to be able to target people and then rank for it in the search engines and all. And so they say, well, what should I target? And for the first time, you know, the reality is that the disconnect I saw a lot of the time for people who were coming online to learn how to do internet marketing, at least the network marketing niche was that, you know, they might not have had a lot of experience or success in network marketing, but they were attempting to write about it a lot like they were an expert. And that was always the disconnect.
So what we were able to do here, which is why we felt like we were empowering people, which is where the name came up. You know, the name came up and we said, well, we can empower people because we know that if we can get them to create content around what they're passionate about, what they're inspired from, what they love. We know that it would be good content that is worth being shared and promoted and syndicated and ranked and picked up by others and shared some more. And so that's where this comes in. And I think it's really, really cool because a lot of people go, well, you know, there's that same market of network marketers online that is only so big.
And I feel like, you know, everybody's taken them already. And so they've got the scarcity mindset. And so maybe if you could speak to the possibilities of what people can tap into in markets and what people can blog about and how they can do that. Oh, absolutely. You know, a lot of experience in is real estate.
And people come to this industry already experts in something generally. Right. They get started in network marketing. I mean, we do have kids that get started in network marketing that are, you know, 16, 17. Right.
And they have never had a chance to work a regular job because they've done pretty well in network marketing. This is what they know. But the average person. Right. Has worked the job, worked a career.
They know kind of they have an idea of what they like, what they don't like. Right. So I came to the table with real estate background already. And I decided and I never really talked about it so much when I was building my network marketing business or still building it. And it comes out of my story, of course, as we shared at the beginning, that in itself does attract people to me that have that similar background.
So I thought, you know, with Empower Network, wouldn't it be awesome? If I could tap into and this is just, you know, those of you that are real estate people, you know, I'm giving you my secret here, but it's all good. Right. We're empowering everybody. Wouldn't it be nice to speak to those who I have a kindred relationship with the real estate people?
Right. The real estate investors. What if I wrote a blog post that talks about, you know, some of the things that they're experiencing? What if I spoke about the commissions that they're receiving from their brokers compared to what they could have here? What if I talked about the downturn in the market and how it affected people?
What if I talked about the downturn in the market and how it affected me and how I know that it may not have put them out of business? It may be still OK, but their commissions, their income has significantly, significantly gone down as a result of it. What if I began to talk about all the things that relate to this particular market of people? Because I know the language already. I don't have to research it.
I mean, I have to research a few topics, but ultimately I have experience here. What if I spoke to these people and share it with them how they could probably even make more money? And gain clients and tap into a network by being part of Empower Network. And so I'm not even looking at existing network marketers. Is that a great target?
Absolutely. Are most of the people on my team in that in that niche? For sure they are, because that's more the warm group that I'm around. However, we all talk about warm market and cold market all the time. And once you tap out of your warm market, whether it's friends and family warm market, or whether it's Facebook, friends, social media, warm market, you're going to have to branch out to the cold market.
You just are. All right. And for me, that cold marketplace, which is actually kind of warm for me, would be that real estate. And so my advice would be to what is it that you do in your career right now? And if you like what you do, how can you help those people who also do what you do?
How can you share with them a way to supplement their income? How can you share with them a way to pay off debt? How can you share with them a way to create content that allows them to get more money? How can you share with them a way to create content that allows them to get more business into what their primary focus is? How can you show them how to use YouTube and blogging and all these different things to expand their brand with whoever their broker is in terms of a real estate agency and things of that sort?
Think outside the box. So I'm not so concerned about a scarcity because I just don't believe. Number one, even in network marketing, there's just millions of people. So there is no end. But even if you just focus on the Internet and saying, oh, man, all the people are taken.
Well, the people that are in your field of study of engineering or real estate or teaching or stay at home mom or, you know, chiropractic work or a medical physician or dentistry. The people that are doing that, contractors like Dave Sharp. Right. Then people live in a van like Dave Wood. Right.
There are people out there that have a connection to you. You speak to them and use this generic platform. You can start showing that market of people the power. What we're doing here. And you don't even have to worry about this network marketing group.
So that would be my recommendation, Chris, is to tap into what you already know. Speak to those people. And it's virtually untapped. I can guarantee you there's no one in real estate that is doing what we're doing in Empower Network and can offer it. There's no one because it's only a few weeks old.
There's no one. Absolutely. Absolutely. Tracy. Greatest advantage in the world.
Exactly. That's what I keep attempting to tell people as well, because you're exactly. And I'm very, very glad that you brought up the point about, you know, you can't look at it from a scarcity because even if you're in network marketing, and you're targeting them if you're if you know what you're doing and you have some wisdom of the industry and you've been in the industry and you have some experience, you know, you can definitely still market to them and there's still a lot of potential there to pull that out. But the good news is what really matters here, just like you said, is that people can blog about whatever they are into and knowledgeable about. And tap into those markets.
You know, it's funny, Tracy, markets. You know, it's funny, Tracy, I actually was a real estate agent for about seven years just out of college as well. And I was, I was a top producer in my city as well. And something, you know, that I learned in that lesson early on, I was talking to a top producer in my city who was, you know, about number one or number two ranked overall in my whole city. And he said to me, you know, Chris, there's always room for another good realtor.
There's always room for somebody who's exceptional. It doesn't matter how saturated a market is if you want to look at it from that way, which I don't recommend you do. And so I took that in, in the, in, I really took that to heart and, and done that in everything that I've, everything I've tackled, I've looked at it that way that, you know, you only have to, to, to be hitting this hard and learning this and knowing this and being able to, to rise above and keep moving forward and not quitting when most people quit anything after 60 or 90 days. And so if you, if you keep going, you know, you, after you get past that 60 or 90 days and in, in most markets things get a lot easier anyway. But, but the good news is, you know, you can, you can blog about basket weaving, you know, and attract other basket weavers, you know?
And so that's exactly the case here. So, so people can breathe easy and feel refreshed to know that now they can make a real contribution about what they're passionate about and what they know and understand and, and actually empower other people just like them. And that's the most exciting thing. That's the biggest concept that I saw about this. And so that's why, you know, when, when we were putting this together, you know, cause this has been about a 10 month process, Dave and I've been talking about this and figuring this out and figuring out how we could put all of the elements together where we literally can insert a new person and add air, water and creativity and how can we get them to make money, you know?
And so now we've been able to finally do that. And, and, and so, so one last thing here, that Costa Rica mastermind intensive, those videos, back there for people, could you speak to, you know, if you've watched them and seen them, to the value of what was taught there and why people might want to upgrade to that and tap into that resource? Oh my goodness. You know, they did, down in Costa Rica was when he was actually doing it when he was smart, you know, and people were purchasing the program to go out there. I had no idea the wealth of information that people came back with, as a result of being there.
And I know that he charged almost $3,000, 29, 97, I believe for our people to, to go out there and spend that time with him. And then they had what their flights and, and food travel expenses and all this stuff. And, and so I said, well, you know what? I understand this. It's very simple.
I understand numbers, numbers, dollars and cents, right? Look, he charged $3,000 per person to go down there. And now I get to have it. $500, and I didn't even have to go to Costa Rica, but I could get the points that were the most important, and I could review that information at my own leisure, to me that makes sense. Number one, I'm in Empower Network because I understand how much of an asset Dave and Dave are.
That's why I'm here, because I'm leveraging what they know. So then if they offer something that is more for leaders only, I would say. For those who are serious about doing something and not playing around, $500 to get access to Costa Rica? I just didn't see, there was no discussion between me, myself, and I about that. I just did it because I could.
Now, if a person can't, really because of the financial situation, then I understand that. This is no way trying to push you to go into debt to get Costa Rica. What I am saying, though, is that if you're on the fence because you're unsure and you have the money available to you, then stop it with the uncertainty. And go ahead and do it. Now, here's what you asked me, Chris.
What's in there? What's in there is, and I can't say exactly because there's so many different things, but here's what I can wrap it around. You have to listen and you have to be ready to receive information based on something that you're looking for. You see, I started watching the Costa Rica Intensive not knowing exactly what I was looking for, but it's kind of like that feeling of I'll know it when I hear it. I'll know it when I hear it.
What do you want to eat? I don't know, but I'll know it when I taste it. It's kind of like that. So I started going through those modules there, those videos, and I think it may have been video number six, and even video number one, really. But number six, I can tell you that it may have been a minute or two, a segment in video number six.
Yeah. Yeah. They all came on at one time, and it was the 4th of July in my head. That's what it was, right? And the answer is unequivocally, yes.
It's not about you have to internalize all the information, all the video. But wherever you are right now, your brain is going to receive whatever it feels it needs to get you to the next step that's in sequence for your development and growth. And if you go through that information, you will pick up something. I am guaranteeing you that you will pick up something that can take you wherever you're standing right now to the very next level to help you increase your income, increase your business sense, increase all the things that you need to do to continue to move up that level. So Chris, having the Costa Rica intensive, there should be no discussion about that.
That $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, that $500, It has well come back to me 10 times over, 10 times over. And I'm just getting started in a power network, right? We're just a baby here at this. We're in our infancy. We're infants.
So to think six months from now, a year from now, you know, two years from now, where everyone can be based on the information that's existing and information that will be placed there for future reference material, I can't even sleep at night because I'm so excited about what that can do for people, not just myself, but others as well. So Costa Rica Intensive is a no-brainer. Absolutely. I'm telling you, video number six changed everything for me. So if you don't do anything but get that to go listen to video number six to try to figure out what I'm talking about, then do that.
$500 equals seven figures. Sounds like simple math to me. Absolutely. Yeah, when we were looking and talking about a price point. And how we were going to offer that once we recorded this thing.
Because when I was down there, I mean, it was absolutely awesome. And I'll tell you what, even the coolest parts, you know, which is the reason why we decided to discount it at all from the $3,000 and selling that product to somebody was because, you know, they didn't get to come ziplining with us, which was just the coolest, funnest thing in the world. And we've got some videos coming up about that, that I've still got to cut together that, I mean, people are just going to crack up at. You won't believe how funny off the cuff David Sharp can be. And David Wood can be.
And then you got me doing crazy antics all the time and jumping off stuff. And, oh, yeah, you guys will realize if you haven't heard yet, they'll go, Chris is crazy. Oh, yeah. That's the fun part. That's the beauty of the network, right?
That's the beauty of hanging out, the events, as we always say, getting to know your business partners. And we're all real people, right? We still like to have fun and do things. It's just internet marketing is our deal. Well, isn't that why we're doing this?
To have the fun. Exactly. Exactly. You know, we were good. We were talking about.
We were talking about offering this at a price point of about $1,500 with maybe a discount early bird for $9.97. And then when it came down to it, we were pushing to get Empower Network done. And we knew that we needed to have a $500 product. And we literally didn't have anything else we could insert in there that was relevant enough. And so we just finally bid it and said, you know, let's give it to them.
We're empowering these people. Let's give them this thing for $500. That's right. We really weren't going. We weren't going to do it until the last minute.
So, you know, that's something that just I try to stress to everybody is, you know, you won't believe what you're going to learn in that thing about real influence and marketing and understanding that you can you just can launch from that. You know, it's a platform. It's amazing. I'm so glad you guys decided on that, too. So thank you.
Yeah, it is. It is. It was a really, really cool time. I mean, we had David Sharp teaching. We had Lawrence Tam teaching right now as I as I and I haven't checked lately, but I'm pretty sure he's.
He's still number one earner inside of Empower Network right now. And he's a part time engineer that works 60 hours in his, you know, in his job regularly. You know, wow. You know, someone like that on being able to show you how to outsource and how to scale your time for those that are very, very busy, because most people do start at this part time. And so you've got that.
And you have you had Ola from the MLM Brothers teaching SEO. And, you know, David Sharp, obviously, when he takes the stage. I mean, the only person that rivals him is someone like yourself or David Wood, in my opinion. You know, yes, yes, yes, absolutely. I mean, there's some things that David Sharp will say right off the cuff.
Can you just tell we're real around here? You know, we don't have to sugarcoat things. And, you know, David Sharp will always tell it how it is. You can trust that for sure. If you're unsure about anything else, please don't be unsure about the candidness of David Sharp.
I think we all know that very well by now. You know, that's just so cool. I love that. You know, and that's what I've gotten from so many people, Tracy, is this is so refreshing to hear people be so real with no hangups and just let you know what's really going on and letting us, you know, I mean, keeping all the money. I mean, come on.
It's phenomenal. I mean, we're sitting here having this interview and one of my team members is on Skype and she just typed in here my first five hundred dollars sale that she made in her bank account. I mean, where else? Where else can this happen? You know, where?
It can't. This is exciting. I mean, I'm excited that people are able to make money and be empowered to leverage this platform. It's it's the best thing I've seen since I've been online. And that is so true.
You know, I've made you know, I've had a lot of people that have told me, hey, I just made my first five hundred dollars. I've made my first hundred dollars and they've never made any money online at all. And this is all within the first couple of weeks. And I've I've said to him, you know, just you wait until you have a team and you get to be in my position where you're hearing people tell you, thank you so much. I just made my first five hundred dollars online.
I've never made any money online. And I've been at this thing for a year trying to figure this out and barely got my blog set up. And now I just made that much money within a couple of days. I'm so pumped and so excited. And I mean, I'll tell you what, that feeling of a feeling that is.
Is more gratifying than you being the person that, you know, you think that you make your first five hundred and that's just the coolest feeling in the world. And I guarantee you'll always remember it. You'll always remember it. But the feeling and I think you can agree, Tracy, to hear that from five or ten different people that all say that and say, thank you, Tracy. Thank you for that.
Isn't that even more just an insane, mind blowing feeling? It is. It is. Because at the end of the day, we're all human. And the number one emotion is love.
And that's really all. People are seeking overall, right? Yeah, we want money. Yeah, we want nice, fine things. We want luxurious lifestyles.
We want all the freedom and the time. But really, the feeling of love, feeling appreciated, giving appreciation, gratitude, that one feeling is what drives everything. And when someone has that feeling of excitement, of accomplishment, and in your position, your role, you were put into their life, you believe to assist in that process. And you see that. And you see that they accomplish that.
There's no greater feeling for a teacher, a mentor, a sensei, or anything than to see that person succeed and go beyond the limits that they have put on themselves that now they've also broken. It is catastrophic. Not catastrophic in a bad way, but it's just a quantum. I can't even put a word on it. You just kind of, I don't know.
You let everything go. And I'm just, as I'm sitting here now, it's just, you know, for me, like I'm a yellow personality, it would almost make me cry, literally. Like, I'm not a softie like that. But you understand what I'm saying. Oh, yeah.
It's that powerful. Because you see people succeeding. And we know that in network marketing, so more often than not, people struggle more often than they do actually even get a return on the investment. And here, for them to be able to do it, it is just mind-blowing. Yeah.
I'm so grateful for you guys. You feel like you're making a difference finally. You've got significance there. Yes, sir. Which is really, really cool for when somebody gets past the place.
Because I've been in that space. And so when we can shift people out of that as quickly as possible and then get them to be able to now become passionate about whatever they're passionate about and empower them to be able to put that to words and put that in videos and put that on a platform where they can get that out to people. It's life. It's life transforming, you know, to see this already. So I know what you mean.
And I just look forward to, you know, seeing this thing grow in leaps and bounds. I've, I've been so excited, you know, for this thing coming and it's been the toughest thing in the world. Tracy, you know, most people were under nondisclosure for a week. I couldn't say anything for 10 months. Wow.
Are you about to explode? You know, I was funny, like quick, quick, last little story. I was, I was having, I was, I was hiking with Jordan Schultz. about a month back or so we'd had our primary company super Saturday here in the, in the, in the Denver area. Okay.
And I live about an hour away from Jordan Schultz and Adam Chandler. And I, and I took, and I took Jordan on a hike and we had a new person with us. his name was James and he, he had just come into, the community and was just learning internet marketing. And, and it's funny because he was asking some questions and me and Jordan were looking at each other and going, Oh my goodness, the things you're going to have to learn. If you want to do it the way you're saying you want to do it, you know, and we, and we had to turn to him and say, you know, you realize that in order to get to that point, you know, it's going to require day and night of, you know, nights is sleepless nights and six to months to 12 months of learning all of this.
So you can put all this together. I mean, this is like a whole other degree and you cram it all in and that's full time, you know, even longer for some people. And, and then, and then I looked at him and I said, Jordan, but soon enough we'll have something that solves that. And he goes, and he goes, what are you talking about? What are you talking about, Chris?
And I'm like, I can't say anything. Oh, he wouldn't stop bugging me the rest of the time. It was so funny. He's like, are you kidding me? I said, don't worry.
We'll, we'll get you. We'll get you going right away. You know, and just, you know, I, I sworn to secrecy, but I'm, I'm sworn I can't, but I'll tell you this. It's like nothing else you've ever seen before. And it's a long time coming.
And so it was just so funny that he was just squirming. It just kept on asking questions the whole time. You, can you tell me any more? Can you tell me any more? That's a little bit more.
Oh, you dirty, dirty man. Yeah, it was great. It was, it was a hilarious time. And now Jordan's doing very, very, very well inside of Empower Network as well. Just hit the ground running his first week.
you know, just amazing from, from, from his first week. And, and we're seeing stories like that all over the place. I can't even count Tracy. I can't even count them anymore, you know, but, you know, on that note, Tracy, you, you have said just about everything. I really should have just ended it right at the end of what you said before going to that story, because it was just the perfect way to cap this off.
And, and you've, you've brought light to so many areas that I know that most people are wondering in their heads and asking questions about. Yeah. Yeah. I'm wondering if this is something they can do and do they have the right skill sets? Are they in the right time, you know, right place, right time.
And they absolutely are. And there is no doubt you leave nothing to doubt as to why somebody should be here and stay here and what they'll be able to accomplish. So for that, Tracy, I'm truly grateful. And thank you so much for doing this. Oh, it is definitely my pleasure.
And it is a privilege to be part of this series. And I'm excited that you guys thought about me to contribute and it's definitely anything that I can do, ongoing, you guys can count on me for sure. Absolutely. And we're going to hold you to that because you're absolutely dynamite and we're going to really make this thing rock and you're going to be a part of it. And we're just, I'm honored to have you around.
Thanks, Chris. All right, Tracy, we will talk to you later, signing off and we will see you at the top. Later. Later. and you can decide to not continue to buy these forever at any time.
We hope, however, that these ideas and strategies will assist you in building a profitable long-term business. Success takes hard work, determination, skill, and consistent effort. Please refer to our average earnings at www.empowernetwork.com forward slash income dot php.
