Practicality dictates that everyone's results will vary as we are all unique and different. Basically, it takes hard work to make a substantial income in this business, and some people will make no money at all. The earnings of an Empower Network affiliate will be 100% dependent upon their skills, work effort, commitment, leadership capabilities, and market conditions. Common sense would suggest that in most opportunities, one would find exceptional individuals performing well above average, while others perform under the average. Empower Network does not guarantee any level of income or your success.

It is the top of the hour, 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time here tonight, Monday, December 2nd. I want to first of all welcome you to the call tonight.
My name is Aaron Rashkin, and I'm the leader inside of Empower Network, and it is my pleasure to be here. It is my pleasure to host this call tonight. I am super excited, and if you know what I do when I do a call, I usually pace around one of my office houses and just really pick up steam as we go along. So I want to throw a couple of disclaimers out there before we even get underway. As I know hundreds and hundreds more people are joining the line right now, we will pack this one out with thousands of listeners from all around the world.
And so a couple of disclaimers. I don't know everything. I have been around the industry now, the home-based business, the network marketing, even the multilevel marketing industry now for just about 23 years when I was first exposed to this business model of working for yourself, being your own boss, creating your own schedule, being able to determine your own income, and living a life of complete and total freedom. And here 23 years later, I still don't know it all, but I can tell you I've had the privilege of seeing lots of people come and go in our industry. And lots of people come and stay.
And I can tell you by observing large groups of people and the masses of people that I've been exposed to over the years, it's not too difficult to spot patterns, especially when it comes to people. And so that's one of the things I'm going to share with you tonight. I'm going to talk with you a little bit about what our real product is besides the product that we're marketing, whatever the product or services that you run your business with, whatever your business opportunity, whatever your company is, whatever the product that you sell or make money by marketing. We're going to talk tonight a little bit about the real product that we market. Now, I know that lots and lots of people are coming on the lines.
I can see the numbers filling up my screen here pretty quickly when I glance over at my laptop, and I can tell you that this call is absolutely packed. And for all the right reasons, and I will tell you this, we're coming up on one of the most exciting times in the entire year, not just the holidays. And for those of you that just celebrated Thanksgiving, happy Thanksgiving. If you didn't celebrate Thanksgiving, thanks for giving, because in the end what you give is what you get to keep. And I can tell you right now that there are some amazing, amazing things happening in and around the home-based business and industries of entrepreneurship and direct sales and selling and marketing on the Internet.
And if you're like me, then you're looking to make the most amount of money in the world. Thank you. And I'm going to give you some insight tonight into not only how I've been able to do that, but how thousands of people around the world are already doing that as we speak. And so if you're here as a guest, you're looking for the very first time, this really is a call for you because we know that you're looking for opportunities to make a difference, not just in your own life, but in the lives of other people, starting with your family.
I'm sure you have lots of friends you'd like to take along to the promised land. Because I can tell you right now, it's a lot more fun when you can fly to New York for a slice of pizza and a Broadway show when you can do that with a few friends that are also doing as well as you are financially.
So I want you to think a little bit about who could benefit from this information and who could benefit by you becoming the best version of yourself possible. In other words, knowing that the next level of success demands a new you. And so here we are, December 2nd. We've got an entire month ahead of us. We're going to make this a December to remember.
And I can tell you that with just 29 days left in 2013, this could be one of the most exciting times in the history of your business career. And if you've never started a business before, congratulations, because I can tell you that by taking action now, you're going to put yourself in a tremendous position come January 1st. And the light turns green on the new year. And millions and millions of people are looking for that one thing that's eluded them up till now.
And we'll talk a little bit more about that in just a bit. So as I said before, I warm up a little bit. I take some time to get comfortable. And I want to share with you a quick story because about 23 years ago, I had just started my own fraternity with a bunch of friends of mine in the college I went to back in Baltimore, Maryland. And we went to a small school.
And we wound up having our own parties. Instead of going to these fraternity parties, we decided to create our own fraternity. And it was a group of guys that I became really friendly with and very comfortable with. And we knew that there was bigger and better for us than joining somebody else's team. So we started our own.
And one of the duties of a fraternity back in the Greek system, the college days, this was back in the early 90s, was we had to contribute. And we had to give money. And we had to do philanthropic activity, meaning we had to donate our time. We had to donate money to different charities and different foundations. And so we did all the things that college kids do.
We had car washes with sorority girls. And we had walk-a-thons where we would raise money based on the distance that we walked as a team. And then we raised money for Red Cross. We would run out onto street corners with white buckets and red crosses and collect change at street corners. And after doing that for several months, we ran out of ideas.
And so a friend of mine suggested that we get involved in a business for the chapter that we were running, our fraternity in college. And sure enough, a friend of a friend who had an idea for us to make money came to our chapter meeting, our fraternity meeting, on a Sunday night. And in a room full of 50 guys, I sat in the back and I watched as a gentleman who had been in the home business industry and who had made a lot of money, went ahead and drew out on a whiteboard, a model of the business that we are a part of here, the people business, the business of teaching people, to teach people, to teach. And by leveraging the resources and the time and the energy and the effort and the capital of other people, we all had a chance to become successfully self-employed. We were going to do that for the fraternity.
We were going to build as a team. We were going to take 50 guys and build one business. And out of those 50 guys, we were going to build a business for the fraternity. And out of those 50 guys, 49 of them couldn't see the forest or the trees. And that decision I made on a Sunday night back in the year 1991 forever changed my life.
Now, sure enough, I wound up getting into that business. And the products I'll share with you would have been the same. I would have been the same. I would have been this gentleman who walks in and he's got his whiteboard and he's got a little leather man bag. He's got this little like backpack knapsack thing kind of perched over his shoulder.
And he had a little puppy with him. He had a little dog. He had this little, I don't even know if it was a French poodle, but it was a little dog that, you know, was just a little pint-sized thing. And the dog sat there just kind of panting the whole time he was speaking in front of the room. And when it came time to talk a little bit about the product and what the opportunity was, it turned out that the man reached into his little leather bag and pulled out a couple of pieces of food, and he started talking about the quality of the dog food, and he said, see, watch how my dog likes the food.
And the dog came over and took the food out of his hand, and sure enough, he said, see how much my dog likes the food. And I was the guy in the back of the room that raised my hand and said, I'm sorry, but I know the dog would do that for a cheeseburger. And sure enough, I'm the guy that pulled out my Discover card back in 1991. I'm 20 years old, in college, away from home for the first time, and I plunked down $500 worth of dog food on my credit card. And that little decision, although I got heckled and laughed at and people made fun of me and pointed fingers and started whispering and snickering and calling me all sorts of not-so-nice names, that little experience that I had about taking a risk, right, they say if you want to explore new oceans, you've got to be willing to lose sight of the shore.
You've got to be willing. You've got to look past what other people think is maybe a little bit too risky. And you've got to do things that others find boring and a little bit uncomfortable. And I was willing to step outside my comfort zone, risking my name, risking my credibility with my fraternity brothers and all the friends that I had made in this new, you know, friendship circle that I had. And what I did was I listened to what they had to say, but I didn't buy their story.
Okay. Because you either buy their story or they buy yours. And what I did was I went to campus the next day. Once I got my shipment of dog food, it actually wasn't the next day. It was about three days later, a big FedEx truck pulled up in front of my apartment and dumped $500 worth of kibbles and bits on my porch.
And sure enough, I took that dog food the very next day right down to campus where everybody had their dogs running around in the dog park. And I sold all that dog food I could to my friends. The people I knew who were in the market for dog food. They didn't even care how good the dog food was because I wasn't selling the quality of the dog food. I was selling it because these were people I knew had dogs.
And I didn't care what they paid me. What I cared about was that they experienced the dog food. And then I was in a business and I was able to learn for the very first time what it was like to retail some products. And what I did was I took all that money that I got in cash from all my friends who bought the dog food from me. And I made sure that I was selling it, and I sold it.
And I sold it. And I sold it. And I made sure that my friends knew how well I did. I made sure they came over to my house that weekend for a big party and we drank and probably smoked all of my profits away. And that was my very first experience in home-based business.
And it was back in 1991. I was a sophomore in college. And it was probably the most important decision I ever made. Although it wasn't the most popular decision, my family wasn't real proud of it. My friends thought I was a total fool.
And you know what? I'm sure that other people that saw what I was doing probably thought they felt uncomfortable being around me because I was doing something different. I was sticking my neck out on the chopping block, risking my credibility, risking my name. And the reason I did it was because I saw that in marketing and sales, you don't get just paid what the job is worth. You get a chance to get paid what you're worth.
And I saw my dad as a child when I was growing up run a small business. He had a business with about five or six employees, worked out of a little bit of a warehouse and had an office space for some receptionists and some assistants around the space. And I watched my dad start a business. And interestingly enough, he was no different than you and I in most cases. He was in distribution.
My dad was an early pioneer. He saw that people loved coffee. And then instead of having employees go out to go get coffee at the coffee truck or at the local deli or a restaurant on a coffee break, he was going to bring the coffee to the people. And so that was my dad's vision when he was in his early 20s or late 20s. And I was raised in that business model, raised in that industry.
And I got to watch somebody who was passionate and who was driven and ambitious and self-motivated because there's really no other kind of motivation. Right? He was taking initiative and he was doing things, like I said before, that other people found boring and uncomfortable. And he got a lot of resistance.
He got a lot of pushback. He got a lot of negativity from some of the people around him. And he was laughed at and heckled and told it wouldn't work. And he was told that he was crazy to spend that kind of money and invest in his future for himself and his family. Yet my dad knew that his vision was so strong that it didn't matter what other people thought.
See, leaders are different than everybody else. Right? People who are entrepreneurs are very different than the average person in the marketplace. Right?
There's consumers and then there's providers. And what you want to do to get ahead in your life is become a provider. Become somebody that provides value or service or a product to the people who need it most and who want it most and who are willing to pay the most for it. Because value comes with a price. And I will tell you, after watching my dad go through a lot of his challenges as a startup business back in the early 70s, when I was a little boy, the one thing that I learned from my dad is that great leaders lead their followers, but it's vision that leads a leader.
And I know some of you are getting a little bit of, you know, hair on your back to stand up and you're getting a little bit, you know, stiffer in your chair, maybe sitting straighter, should I say. And I can tell you that's because you are proud of yourself. You are probably exactly who I'm talking about. And you know that you're a leader, too, because when I speak these words, it changes the way you feel inside and it makes you feel different about who you are and what's possible for yourself in your own life.
And I'll tell you, as I pace around my house, I remember when I first got started in business for myself, back in 1991, that very first time, I knew that I had a model. I had somebody that I could look up to and respect. And that's what you want. That's what you need. That's what you deserve.
And what you have to have in your life to be successful is somebody to pattern yourself after. And that's where I was back in 1991. All I kept thinking of was my dad had already blazed this trail for me. Now, sure, I didn't know my sponsor, the guy that I enrolled with, because I didn't know him from Adam. He came down to talk to us, and I met him that very day.
But, see, when you have belief, and when you have faith, right? Faith is the ability to see things that yet have not appeared. So when you have faith in the invisible, when you believe that things are possible, right, the only thing left to do is make them probable by you taking the action. And so back in 1991, when I got started in home business and I got started selling products for the first time and experiencing a little bit of, you know, the uncomfortableness of rejection, when people said, no, it's not for me, thanks anyway, I'm not interested, it's like when you walk by somebody in the mall and they try to pass you a little flyer or a little sample of perfume, and you walk by and you say, I'm not interested. Well, the question is, is how many not interested are you willing to take as an entrepreneur?
See, a lot of people focus on those people. They focus on the ones that aren't interested. They focus on the ones who are not willing to work with them or not look at what they do. And instead, they get caught up. And see, little people let little things like that rob them of big opportunity.
They get discouraged. And see, I personally can't afford to get discouraged, and neither can you. Discouragement is a thing that somebody whose dream isn't big enough will allow to happen to them, right, instead of that focus happening for them. And here we are now on December 2nd, right, with only just, you know, a few weeks left before the end of the year, and this is the time for you to get focused. This is the time for you to think about what's going to happen for you in 2014.
And I promised I was going to share tonight a little bit about my friend Donald Trump and his book, Think Big and Kick Ass. I know some of you came to the call here tonight to talk with me or listen to me talk a little bit about the number one factor in determining if you have what it takes to make it big in both business and in life. And I'm going to lay that out for you. I'm going to lay that out for you here in just a little bit. Now, in 1991, when I first got started, I had no idea what was going to happen next.
All I know is that I was following the tip of my nose, and people said that I had no business being in business. And sure enough, I was a personal trainer. My background, I actually broke my back when I played football in high school back in the year 1980, I want to say 1986 or 1987. I got crushed in the bottom of a football pile, and I fractured two vertebrae in my low back, and I wound up really learning about my body. I learned how to rehabilitate myself.
I learned how to strengthen my body through resistance and exercise and training and proper nutrition. So I became a personal trainer. And so I worked in the gym when I was in college. I worked, you know, in a health club. I worked, you know, at a fitness center.
I worked wherever somebody wanted somebody else to show them what to do and how to do it. And so I was a personal trainer through college. And when I graduated from college in the year 1995, I went to school from 89 to 97, 1995. I was, you know, on a six-year program at a four-year school.
So that should tell you how much fun I had. I had a great time. I spent a lot of time meeting a lot of people, spending a lot of time, you know, learning about people, learning about friendships and relationships and getting into business. And I had all sorts of different jobs. And when I graduated in 1995, what happened for me was I found myself with a very expensive receipt from college.
It was called a diploma. And it was a very, very expensive receipt for going to school, or should I say not going to school. My options were to go get a job as a phys ed teacher or get into some sort of sports management and communications course or path, which is what I studied in college. Yet I knew that I was never going to make what I knew I deserved. And so I set out.
I left my college town where I went to school in Baltimore, Maryland, and I drove cross-country to Colorado. Actually, it's where I stopped off. It was 1995, and I stopped off here in Colorado. And I looked around, and I saw this beautiful state of color. That's why they call it Colorado, if you spell it out.
It's the land of color, right? And I knew I was going to come back here one day. Interesting story. I wound up writing all my books.
In 1997, a couple of years after I landed in California, driving through Colorado, I looked around. I saw this is where I wanted to be. Two years later, I wrote my goals out, and sure enough, it wasn't before 19, or should I say 2004, right, only 10 years after or so that I got to California that I wound up back in Colorado, which is where I live currently. But I will say this.
In 1995, when I got out to California, I continued my personal life. I continued my personal training quest. I stayed in the gyms. I did what was familiar.
I got to where I was comfortable. And I realized that if I really wanted to be successful, if I really wanted to live the life of freedom that I'd been dreaming about since I saw that model, that network marketing model back in 1991, I knew that I had to do something different, because I knew that my comfort zone was my failure zone. And as soon as you find yourself getting comfortable, as soon as you find yourself getting complacent, you know that you're in your failure zone, because you're either growing or you're dying. And that's why it's important to stay hungry. It's important to stay excited.
It's important to stay, you know, interested in education and continue to grow. They say when you're green, right, when you're green, you're growing. When you're ripe, you're starting to rot. So always stay hungry. Stay outside your comfort zone.
Because that's the place that you're going to flourish and you're going to become as successful as possible. Always set your goals a little bit higher than what you think you can do. And that'll force you to reach and step outside the comfort zone, which is, again, where you're going to stretch yourself enough to grow. And then you'll grow into that new goal. And then you'll set it again.
So 1995, I get to San Diego. I'm working at a gym. I decided at the time, I'm going to go to the gym.
At that point, it was time to step up. It was time to quit working in a gym. It was time to start working for myself and stop working for other people and trading my time for money. And so that's what I did. I started a small business and I risked and I invested and I took a chance and I took a giant leap of faith.
And sometimes you got to take a step or two back, right, a small step or two back to make a big leap forward. And so I took everything I had, all my credit cards. I pooled all the money together and I invested in a small business. This was in the year 1995 when I got to California. I was a one-man show.
I did everything. I was like the one-man band. I created the product. I created the labels. I had to go out and sell the product.
I had to ship the product. I had to do everything that a small business entrepreneur would do. And then I realized that I was on what's called linear income. And that meant that if I worked, I got paid. When I worked, I got paid.
But if I didn't work, I didn't get paid. And I didn't like that. I didn't like being the only one responsible for my income. I didn't like the fact that if I didn't show up for work, that no money would come in that day. And I knew that there had to be a better way.
So sure enough, one of my clients, her husband and, you know, she and her husband were involved in network marketing. We sell products out of your own home or out of your own trunk. Or you sell a product for a company that's already got a product. And all you have to do is bring the product to the market. And you build a network of customers and you get to build a network of distributors, other people that are going to, you know, share the product and sell the product just like you.
And because you introduced them to the business, you get a chance to get paid on the efforts of other people. But see, they have opportunity as you do. And a lot of people I hear saying things like, well, only the people at the top make all the money. Well, the best part about network marketing, about being self-employed in our industry, is that you get a chance to be at the top. Because when you get started in a job, you're at the bottom of somebody else's pyramid.
And how do I know? Well, think about it for a second. At the very top, you have a president or a CEO. Maybe you have a vice president underneath that president. And you've got, you know, supervisors, regionals, and locals. And then you've got, you know, store managers. And you've got all sorts of people that work as employees.
And then you've got the salespeople. And then you've got the temporary, right, the temps. Now people are temps in jobs. They don't get benefits. And they don't get any sick pay or vacation time.
They work on a kind of need-to-know basis. When they're needed, they're being paid. They get to know.
And then they have to show up to work last minute sometimes. And these are called temps. And see, here's what happens. The temps want to be the emps, right? The emps are the employees.
The employees want to be in management, right? The management wants to be in regional management. The regional management wants to be in district management. And the district management wants to be, you know, the supervisor. And the supervisor wants to be the vice president.
And the vice president wants to be the president, as long as the president's not around. So everybody wants somebody else's job that doesn't even want their own job. So when you think about the corporate world, where many of us come from, nobody's really happy with their job. Nobody's really happy with their income. Sure, there are people that are satisfied, right?
But these are not people who are cut out to be entrepreneurs. They're not like you. They're not on this call right now. They're watching reruns of Seinfeld and Cheers right now on some syndicated station, thinking about what they have to do before bed, so they can get up at 6 or 7 in the morning in the dark, drive to work, work 8 or 10 hours, come back when it's dark out again, and start the process over.
But I'm talking directly to you. See, I call this preaching to the choir. Because if you're going to preach to anyone, you might as well preach to the people who are already singing the gospel. And I know that you're not here because you have nothing else to do. I know you're not here because you're bored.
I know you're not here because you don't want to make more money. We're free up more time, or pay off your bills, or get out of debt, right? These are the reasons that people join the home business revolution. These are the reasons that people join our profession, because they want a better life. They want more mores, right?
More time, more freedom, more flexibility, more choices, more income, right? We have people here on our team that have completely changed their financial lives over the last, you know, anywhere from 30 days, to 60 days, 90 days. People do it in record time here. And I'll talk about why in just a little bit. But we have people that have been here six months, 12 months, 15 months, a year and a half.
Now, just a little bit over two years old, our company, Empower Network, has changed the lives of thousands and thousands of people. And we've never seen anything like it before, at least I haven't, in now 23 years of being in this industry. I've never seen a company that's grown so big, so fast, yet at the same time, had some of the deepest roots to ever lay its foundation in the network marketing and home business profession. And here we were, a company that was really built off the vision of two guys, David Wood and David Sharp. Like I said earlier, right?
Leaders lead their followers, but it's vision that leads the leader. And the vision of Dave and Dave was so big for this that all of our dreams can fit inside of it. And there are thousands of people whose stories we have seen and thousands of people we've seen literally walk across stage, not just collecting big checks, but collecting big lives. Their lives have changed because of this company.
They've learned things here that they never knew existed, and they surrounded themselves with people that they never knew existed. And they put themselves in a position to get mentored, entrained, so that they can model some of the most successful people in the home business industry. It was the smartest thing that they could do. And that's the smartest thing that you could do. No matter whether you learn something for your business or for your job, if you still have one, the key is to get better.
No matter what you're going to do, the key is to get better. I always tell people, you know, it's good to think long term, but no matter what you do, it's how you do everything. So if you still have a job, great. Work harder at your job so you can be better in your business.
If you're full-time working for yourself, if you're an entrepreneur, if you're somebody that's just getting started in your own business, right, find somebody to model. Find somebody to mentor with. Find somebody to really pattern yourself after. And here in our community, there's no shortage of people to watch and no shortage of people to pay attention to. So the year 1995, I started my own small business.
I found out that I just bought an expensive job, and I got into network marketing. And what I found out over the years is that although we have some of the greatest products, because a lot of the money that would normally be spent by a company on advertising, okay, traditional advertising, newspaper, radio, print media, right, now Internet advertising, right, the millions and millions of dollars that would normally be spent by a company on advertising. Instead, that money goes into product development and being able to pay the marketers. Those are people like you and I. And although we have some of the greatest products to ever be created in the world, literally right here in our industry, what you want to understand is that your product is not really your product.
Your product is not really your product. And you're probably wondering, what the heck do I mean? Well, what I mean by that is that your real product is not your product because your real product is people. And when you learn more about people than you learn about your product, then you'll have just learned about the real product that we market, which is change. And it's the one thing that you and everybody else on this call is here for.
There's not a person on this call listening to the sound of my voice, listening to the recording or live audio. There's no person on the Internet that doesn't want change, change in an upward direction, change in upward progression, small increments of upward progression where you can increase the things that you want the most and decrease the things that you want the least. And eventually, we have people who make more in their part-time business on the Internet here, putting in an hour or two per night than they make in their full-time. And I can list literally dozens of friends of ours who have had this experience before where they start making more money working part-time on the Internet by following our simple three-step proven plan of action than what they make in a month at their job. And they do it part-time, all online, and without picking up a phone to prospect, recruit, or do a single three-way call.
And see, when you learn how to leverage the technology, and you learn how to automate your business using some very specific tools that you'll be introduced to in our community, then I think you'll realize that you can have a completely hands-off business. It's kind of like when you put that turkey in the oven last week, right? You set it and forget it. You pop the turkey in the oven, and you just make sure that the oven stays on. And you might adjust it a little bit here and there.
You might turn the heat down at some point or turn the heat up. Maybe if you didn't set it right. But that's just like your business. You can have a business that runs with very little effort. And it doesn't mean that you start out that way.
What that means is that you learn the skill set. See, here's what's interesting. And a lot of people ask me about this all the time. But I'm going to tell you one of the things that I truly believe, I would say this is probably one of the most important things I can say to you, is that 90% to 95% of the skill set you have or don't have comes from your mindset. I'm going to say that again.
95% of your skill set comes from your mindset. And one of the most important skills that I ever learned in my entire career of working from home, being self-employed, and making money, right, in my pajamas if I want to, is that I can do this. It's a skill of saying no and staying focused.
Right? I said before that it's little people that little things rob them of big opportunity. Being able to say no and stay focused is one of the most powerful skills you'll ever develop. Now, here we are, like I said, with just 29 days left in the year. And as I'm walking past my fireplace mantel, there I see it on my shelf, the book, Think Big and Kick Ass, by Jeff Bezos.
And it's a skill of saying no and staying focused. And there's a section in the book that talks a little bit about one of the most important, if not the number one factor that's going to determine whether you have what it takes to make it big and long-term in your business and in your life. Now, here we are coming up on the new year, right? 2014 is just literally 29 days away. And a lot of times you're going to hear that, in December, business is slow.
Home-based business is slow. Entrepreneurship is slow. A lot of businesses feel like they're going to shut down. After Black Friday this past week and Cyber Monday, this becomes a slow month unless you're in retail. Now, if you have a store at the mall, you're getting a ton of foot traffic.
Or if you have an internet shopping mall, you're probably going to get a lot of visitors if you know how to position yourself properly in front of the right people at the right time with the right message. But for the most part, a lot of people feel because it's the holiday time that they're going to take some time off. They're going to slow down. They're going to cut back on the amount of expectations they have for big business this month.
And what I always tell people is that the holiday slowdown is really just a facade. Because business is never slow. It's people who are slow. And with, you know, a few weeks left in the year, now is the time to literally stand on the gas. Because the momentum that you build up between now and January 1st, when the new year rings in and the light turns green, you could be doing 100 miles per hour as long as you don't sleep through the month of December.
And that's what Donald Trump talks about in his book. He says the biggest factor in determining your success is the amount of time that you have left in the year. And that's whether you're going to make it big in business and in life is whether or not you can build momentum. Because when you have it, it's the most powerful force on your business. It allows you to not only keep going, but it allows you to accelerate.
It allows you to build up steam. It allows you to build a much larger business with either the same amount or even less effort. It's called scaling your business. And it's inside some of our products here. And apparently our network, that we talk a little bit about how to scale a business so that you can actually do less and make more.
And it's an interesting conversation. But when you think about the momentum that you can build between now and the end of the month here of December, moving into the new year, this is the most critical time of year for you to get busy. Now, if you haven't gotten started yet, I'm going to suggest to you that this is the time for you to get back with the person who introduced you to this call here tonight. They're going to provide a link for you, whether it's on their website, whether it's on their social media page, like Facebook or Instagram or YouTube or wherever you came from, right, that you found out about this call here tonight.
You want to go back to that page and find the link to make sure you know exactly who we are, what we do, and how you can get paid to do it with us. Now, of course, we have a join link. You're going to go through the process. You'll either watch a video or you're going to be able to read some information depending on which route that link takes you to. But the key for you is to get started.
Put yourself in a position so over the next three weeks, you could be learning the ropes. You could be, you know, picking up the momentum. You could be putting some points on the board and some wins in the wins column so that on January 1st, when the other millions of people realize that they've been sleeping through the month of December and now they're looking to pay off their bills and get out of debt and take back more control of their finances, their freedom, and their lives, when they go online to look for somebody who can show them how to do this, you could be in the position to show them exactly what you do. It doesn't necessarily have to be that you just sell an opportunity.
We have a product here. It's called the viral blogging system. And with the age that we're in right now, the internet age, the information age, and the digital delivery age, and more importantly, the attention age, these are the ages that we're in. See, if you think about it, you know, if we go back to the late 1800s, early 1900s, our entire society, the worldwide society, was engrossed in agriculture, right?
Everything was built around farming, whether it was raising crops or raising animals. Everybody was involved in the agriculture of society. And if you weren't fitting horseshoes to make sure the horses could plow the field, you were in the field. You were selling some kind of vegetables or fruit, and you were bartering, and you were trading, and you were doing things to make a community run. You were living in an agricultural based society.
And as the years rolled on, and more and more leaders emerged out of these agricultural societies, we got then into more of the industrial revolution, industries that created assembly lines. And they created, you know, factories and manufacturing. And now things are starting to be mass produced. And there was a ton of people that were working, you know, for large companies that would employ thousands and thousands of people to grow different product lines and different brands and companies like Coca-Cola. And, you know, some of these older companies were really starting to bring our world closer together.
And so, here we are. We're in this manufacturing and this, you know, this new revolution of industry. And then steel and, you know, iron was starting to be mined, and ore and railroads were being built, and tracks were being laid, and people were moving out west to explore and see new land and see what else is out there. And sure enough, after industry, right, which included computers and information, right, we got into this information revolution, right?
And the world became enthralled with information. And that's where we've been for the last, you know, 40 or 50 years. We've been in the information revolution. And now things are super simple. You want to know something, you go on Google, or you go look it up on a search engine, or you type in something.
You want to find somebody, you go on Facebook, or you go on some social media. And you can literally find people. It's all about information technology. It's all about, you know, the speed, right, that people are able to look things up. And so, obviously, information is really where people are going these days, no matter what the information is.
And so, here we have information and technology all kind of working together to create now what's called the digital revolution. We're in the digital age. And along with the digital age, there becomes a lot of distraction and a lot of things that could catch your attention that you're not used to. And so, that may not be part of what you're focused on. And now we have what's called the attention age, right?
So, here we are, we're fighting for people's attention. There's distractions and little shiny objects that keep people from focusing on what they originally intended to do. And here we are, we have the digital age. But the key to the whole business puzzle right now is that, and I forget who said it exactly, but he said that, you know, by the year 2014, there are going to be two kinds of businesses. Those businesses that are online and those businesses that are pretty much out of business.
There's very few businesses that can survive without an internet presence. And people all over the world are searching for things on the internet. And by being a small business entrepreneur, by being somebody that can take a position in this business model, you have an opportunity to capitalize by selling and marketing things to people who are already in search of them. And that's what this whole business of Empower Network is all about. Not just selling and marketing to people, but giving people a chance to become entrepreneurs and giving them a chance to be raised up by a community that has their best interests in mind.
And I can tell you that the thousands and thousands and thousands of people who have come to Empower Network over the last two years, over the last 25 months, who now have collectively earned in excess of 75 million dollars, moving the products here that Empower Network offers. I can tell you when they were in your position, if you're brand new or you're a guest and just looking at this for the very first time, you know, they were just like you. A little bit unsure, but very excited.
They knew that they wanted more. They knew that they wanted an opportunity to grow with the community. They knew that they wanted an opportunity to be free, to live a life of freedom, to be self-employed, to make all their own decisions and not have to work for someone else. And that's what this whole business of Empower Network is all about.
So here we are now in Empower Network. We run businesses from the comfort of our homes. We work on our laptops. We work on our mobile phones. We work on our devices and our tablets.
And we're able to literally have the geographical freedom that we've always wanted. We're not confined to one place. We work when we want to. We get to set our own schedules. We get to build a business that allows us to live the life of our dreams.
And that's exactly why I know you came here tonight. Not because you wanted to hear some guy that's been around the industry for a while talk about his experience, but because I know that you are looking for more and more as you're looking for that change. And to be quite honest, I have never seen any community in all my years in the industry where people lift each other up and raise each other up. And they support each other. And they work together to create the success that they want.
And that's exactly why I know you came here tonight. And I know that you have seen a lot of success that this company has enjoyed now for just a couple of years. And what we talked about earlier is that people are your product. And when you think about it, at the end of the day, it's people who are going to support you. It's people who are going to raise and lift you up.
And it's people that are going to assist you in getting to where you want to go. And so when you look around and you look at what's out there and you look at all the opportunity out there in the world, you realize that there's very few places where you can come to and you can get to where you want to go, where you look at people who are going to support you and just be yourself. That's one of the things I loved about Empower Network. And I'll share with you quickly, when we first got started about two years ago, my wife and I, we found Empower Network. I was on a little houseboat party down in the state of Texas in Lake Austin.
And we were there because we had a little success. We'd experienced some success in home-based business and on the internet over the last few years. And for whatever reason, we bumped into a couple of guys that were going to support us. We found out later that both of them were homeless at one time.
And they had been living in a van down by the river. And one was living literally on the streets. And I couldn't tell that they were homeless when I met them because they had a vision that was far bigger than any vision that I'd ever really heard about before. And I didn't spend a lot of time with these two guys. I only knew them for a couple of days.
But when you spend time with the right people who are doing things for the right reasons, and you know you're in the right place at the right time, you don't need to know much more than that. You don't need to know much more than the fact that where you're going is going to be safe.
And when I met Dave Wood and Dave Sharp back in the summer of 2011, I had no idea that they were launching Empower Network. I had no idea that they were launching a company that was going to pay 100% commissions on most of its products. I didn't know that they were going to be launching a company that was going to create one of the biggest and most successful online marketing teams in the world in literally just a couple of years. And I didn't know that I was going to be with a couple of guys that had hearts that were bigger than most people's.
And their minds were brighter than most people's because they knew that they were not smart in all areas. They knew they had to surround themselves with people that were better than them. And here we are now, a team of over 200,000 members, right, and well over 100 countries. And we really are just a small army of what we call affiliates here, people that are actually building the business.
But I can tell you that we are really just getting started because we just came out of a two-year beta test that did nearly $75 million in sales, testing the idea that Dave and Dave had, testing the concept. And in the process, thousands of families' lives were changed simply because Dave and Dave had a dream. And their vision was so that all of our dreams could fit inside of theirs. Now here we are, two years later after the company launched, and we're really on a new course. We're on a new path.
We just launched Empower Network version 2.0. And things are just getting started. So if you've ever wanted to be there in the beginning, consider yourself blessed because this is just getting started. So I will say this before we wrap up, is that I want to thank you for taking your time out tonight. I appreciate your attention.
I know there's a lot of other things that you could be doing. I know there's a lot of other places that you could be going. And I know that there's a lot of other things that you could have easily been distracted by. But I will tell you this, right now it's only 29 days left in the year. Okay, this is the time for you to create momentum so that when the light turns green on January 1st, you're already moving at 100 miles per hour.
The key for you right now, as I said before, is get back to the person who invited you to this conference. Get back to the page that you found the link on or you found this phone number for. And let them know that you want to be a part of their team simply by clicking the Join Now button. There's $25 to get started with a viral blogging platform. You'll get instant access to your Fast Start training.
You'll get access to the platform itself. And you'll go through probably a new member call or a game plan call with your sponsor, whoever it is that you're getting started with. And let them show you what it is we do. Let them show you how we do it. And I want to make sure that if you're a member on the line, or should I say when you become a member or if you are a member, that we have a live event coming up in 53 days.
We're going to be in Miami, Florida for the Freedom Event. It's the 2014 Freedom Event. And we are going to be sold out. It is going to be packed. It is going to be standing room only.
And I can tell you right now, it's people that go to live events. It's people who show up in person to meet the team, to meet the customers. It's people who show up in person to meet the company and get that belief in their eyes. Those are the people who become the biggest success stories in the business. Because our events are for affiliates only, for people who are interested and committed to being successful.
So go ahead and get your affiliate. It's $19.95. I don't know anywhere else where you can become a small business owner on the Internet for literally less than $50. And so by doing that, that puts you in a position to start learning from the system here, learning from the team, learning from the training, getting access to all of our mastermind calls and all the live events that we do for our members and affiliates only. So make sure that you do that here.
You want to get started here as quickly as possible. Because again, you still have 29 days left before the end of the year. This is the perfect amount of time for you to do what Donald Trump says. Think big, kick ass, build some momentum, get your business going. And that way we get a chance to meet live and in person in Miami on January 24th through the 26th.
And that officially wraps this call, gang. I want to thank you again for your time and attention. My name is Aaron Raskin. I want to welcome you aboard. You'll have a great evening tonight.
