Hey, guys. This is Dave Wood. Again, this is one of those interviews I'm not sure if we're going to use for anything or not. But this is Justin Varengia, and I've known Justin now for probably the — what did we meet, Justin, six months, a year ago, something like that? Yeah, exactly.

He's a Costa Rica guy, so he lives in Costa Rica, has a hot wife on the other side of Costa Rica, and markets on the internet. And so I found that out, and I gave him a call, and I was like, hey, man. And I actually trained his sponsor in his company but also here at Empower Network on how to recruit on the internet. And so we have a connection there where his sponsor — not in my company, a different company — Paul Hutchings started succeeding by applying things that I taught Paul. And so it's a pleasure to be on here as always.

We're going to do a couple things in this interview that's going to be a little bit different. Number one, Justin, I believe you just had your first $1,000 day this morning, right? You're at about $1,300 today in commissions here, I think. Yeah, I popped a $1,000 — my first $1,000 15K formula as well as a Costa Rica mastermind today.

But I believe the mastermind went as a pass-up to my awesome sponsor, which I'm so glad for. So blessed him with $500, got $1,000 in my bank account. Plus I got, I think, a basic membership. I got a basic membership today, and it's only like 10 o'clock here in Costa Rica. So exciting times.

The first $1,000 and then just shoot right to the first $3,000. So congratulations, by the way, on your first $1,000 day. And it's honestly — it's just a little bit weenie. $1,000 is just getting started. I can't even buy potato chips with that.

And then you start going. And then you try to make a little bit more. I'm kidding, obviously. And I know you've been marketing online for a long time. It's just you never go back.

It's the easiest thing in the world to do. So let's talk about a couple of things here. First of all, I want to find out a little bit more just about what you're doing to bring in people, because you're bringing in now — I just saw it, we've turned it on here over maybe the last 20 or 30 days.

And you've been bringing in almost a member a day. So if you could just bump that average up to just one every day — that math doesn't make sense — but with the upsells and with all the duplication and stuff like that, that's what it's creating. So talk to us about how you market what you do.

And what I'm going to do is I'm going to be kind of drilling into your numbers a little bit, because my goal in the call is both to find out what you do — maybe we could bring that knowledge to some other people, because you could probably help them get some leads and do some content marketing like you do. So is that a good place to start? I love it, dude. I appreciate it.

Thank you so much, Dave. Thanks for all you do. Well, thanks for being on. So talk to us a little bit about how you got started marketing and why you do what you do. You're another one of these weirdos that lives in Costa Rica and lives the life but somehow managed to convince a girl who's hotter than you to marry you.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't make much sense. So how do you do what you do? Why did you get into marketing? And kind of what led you to Empower Network? Let's start there.

Yeah, excellent questions. I joined my first MLM, I think, back in 2006. It was a travel company. I built it the traditional way.

I had a semi bit of success. I could recruit after my long dealings of flying to New York to do a presentation and drive into Georgia, flying to St. Louis to support my team. I was willing to do what most people are unwilling to do. But unfortunately, it wasn't duplicatable.

So I started looking at the internet as a vehicle, to where if I can just find people who want to buy what it is I have to offer, it'd be easier to just fulfill a demand versus chasing people around. And I was kind of burnt out — I think we've all been there. So I started focusing on the internet.

I came across a lead capture page. It was like the first one I realized — or realized it's a lead capture page. But it basically said, how would you like to be able to personally recruit 10, 20, 30, 40, even 50 people a month into your network marketing business, month after month, without fail? I entered my information.

I got a call, and my internet marketing journey began. This is like back in 2007, I believe. So I started online marketing. I failed for my first six months to maybe a year before I started making decent money.

But then eventually I started generating leads. And my marketing techniques that I've had the most success with — one of my first was joint ventures. I learned how to call radio station managers and how to basically have them run my radio ad for free. It's called PI, or per inquiry, in exchange for a split on the sale.

So I was marketing a product that cost $3,000, and I would get free radio advertising. And every sale I would split with the radio station, because they all have time slots which they're not making money on that are just vacant slots. Basically I learned — Dale Carnegie taught me in one of his books that if you can help a person get what they want, you will always get what you want.

And I try to live by that mantra. So I figured that out, had a lot of success. But then something happened to the marketing system and the company, and we got out of that, and I started just building your typical MLM. And I defocused from joint ventures with radio, because I was no longer promoting a high-ticket product, and the radio station managers — they're going to be all ears if you have a high-end commission to share with them.

So I got into content marketing. I dove headfirst into YouTube, started building my YouTube channel, got a partner account, had like over 400 videos. And the same thing that happened to you, Dave, happened to me. I was getting like 20, 30 leads a day, very, very successful YouTube channel — again, hundreds of videos.

I had like over a million views. I was a partner account. I woke up one day and my account was gone, because some hater who had nothing better to do understood how to shut someone down. And if you have multiple channels and you flag a certain channel from multiple channels, unfortunately, there's not much protection. So my account disappeared.

And so after that happened, I lost all the videos on my blog, because I did a rookie mistake — I was hosting all my videos on my YouTube, which was idiotic. So here's a pointer: if you're going to be doing video marketing seriously, get your own hosting. That way it can never get taken down if someone did attack your YouTube channel or something like that.

So after all that happened, I said, hey, YouTube is great, I can have a lot of success here — however, what if some idiot decides to get my account shut down again? I got to start over. So I started focusing more.

I started focusing more and more energy into blogging, because blogging is a platform that you own. You can own your own WordPress blog, or like here at Empower Network, that's your own blog. It's not going anywhere. So I decided to try to blog daily or use my video content, because I love using video.

For me, video is the easiest thing in the world. And I say that because I don't necessarily always like writing. It feels like it's a duty, a job or a challenge. If I make a video, I can be like Dave Wood and just talk for like 15, 20 minutes about something, and people can relate to me and I build a relationship before —

I mean, by the time they opt in, and by the time I follow up with them and pick up the phone to call them, they feel like they've known me. They know me. There's a relationship already built. So I see the power in video, and I see the power in SEO marketing and blogging, because I realize this traffic is like the best traffic that you can generate organically. And besides all the —

Amazingness of the traffic, it's free. It doesn't cost money to blog every day. It doesn't cost me any money to shoot a YouTube video. The sale that I just got today — the thousand dollar commission and the five hundred dollar roll up — he was from free marketing.

I didn't spend any money advertising. And that's an awesome thing, because it's 100 percent profit. So I love video. I love YouTube marketing. I understand YouTube like the back of my hand.

And I understand SEO very well. I actually have clients where I do SEO marketing for them, because that's one of my niches that I actually enjoy doing. I like the technical stuff. I'm very analytical in my own nature. That's just the way I was.

I used to be introverted. So naturally, I just love blogging and putting together marketing funnels and sales videos and such like that. And I believe if you do something every day, you're going to become very good at that. And I don't care how bad you are in the beginning.

It's like learning to ride a bicycle for the first time in your life. When I first started video marketing, I sucked. I made like the worst video and I didn't generate any leads, but I started making a video every day, and I started feeling better about myself. I built this confidence within, and eventually I started connecting with people. I truly believe if you do something every day, you become a master at your own right.

You become a master of self, because you develop the skill set. And that's what most people are lacking in this industry — a skill set that they can rely on that can just generate them money from thin air. That answers your question. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

No, absolutely. Well, and this is fascinating, because we've had a lot of people on in the interviews that do what they do mostly through paid marketing over the last little while. And for me, it's always been different — I've always done things through social media and through content, through free marketing. And I wouldn't really call it free, because now what I do is I pay an SEO guy, Chris Rushlow.

He does my SEO for me, and I just create the content. I just do the content part. And then he does the backlinking and all the syndication and things like this. So it's either time-based or it's a paid strategy.

But it's interesting with bringing guys on like yourself that get just a consistent, like a rock, lead flow every day by doing content marketing. And an interesting thing happened, Justin, where we started this network with this idea, based on what I learned with SEO, that if we got 100,000 people all blogging on one site, we could — rather than having a whole bunch of sites that get 100 visitors a day — get one site that gets 100 million visitors a day. And that's kind of the idea that spawned what we created within Empower Network and what we're doing here.

Our goal is obviously to be in the top 50 sites in the world by the end of the year, which we're going to do. And so really, really interesting to me, because this is what I've done as well. And by the way, I do echo what you say, in that when you do get good SEO and social media leads, they outconvert almost every other kind of lead, with very, very few exceptions, usually two or three to one. So interesting.

So let's talk a little bit about — you've had a YouTube channel shut down, I've had a YouTube channel shut down as well. And I actually got my channel rebooted, by the way. I fought it and got all my videos back. I did that twice, and one more time.

Usually people will file a copyright infringement notice against your account, and you can actually fight it if you know how to fight those. It's complicated, but you can actually get your channel back. And I've got my channel back twice. And I've also had other things shut down.

I've done a lot of content marketing as well, and I've gotten an average of 30 to 50 leads a day for free, completely from just SEO and content marketing, now for over two years. And so I know it works like crazy. So let's go over a little bit some basic concepts to somebody who's never gotten any leads through SEO, or maybe they try, and then they get distracted, and they try, and then they get distracted.

And they try, and then they get distracted — to help somebody stay focused and consistent and get to that magical 10 leads a day number, because 10 leads a day, by the way, I'm going to talk to you about this today, at a minimum. And we're not talking six months from now — we're talking right now.

But that's if you're working them right. So what are some tips and strategies that you have for people who do need to do content marketing, and who can't do solos and PPC and magazine ads and all these things that we're doing, to just stay focused and just start getting their first few leads? We had a guy who was getting like 20 leads a day by going to Alexa and just looking at the top 10 hot topics — and most of it's like gossip about a movie star or whatever.

It's whatever people think is popular at the moment. And he was just going on these top 10 topics and taking a video off YouTube that was talking about like some movie star and their marriage that got divorced or whatever. And just popping it onto his blog, and he was getting like 20 leads a day from that. So probably not the most targeted leads, but they're still leads.

And leads will still convert, and everybody wants to make more money. So it's a strategy that anybody can do — it takes less than five minutes. And I'll tell you, if we had 20,000 people doing that every day, our traffic would quadruple.

We'd be in the top 150 sites in a month if we had 20,000 people doing that every day. So fascinating. So you get 10 leads a day consistently, pretty much every day, right — is what you were telling me when we popped on the call. Does it ever blow that?

Does it go dramatically higher? What's kind of your stable? Yeah, like yesterday I had 17. The day before I had 19.

Some days I only have seven or eight. So I like to kind of go a little low, but typically it's between 10 and 20 every day. Sometimes below, sometimes higher. It depends what sort of marketing I have out there.

99% of my marketing is free content marketing. I like video marketing and SEO, so the majority of my results are coming from that. But I just started tampering with my phone room, and I have some lead sources I'm using now, just trying to test different things.

Because it's all about duplication as well. And I know if we can — and that's why I love the 15K formula. The leaders are sharing such tremendous value on their secrets, how they get their teams to duplicate the different types of co-ops and advertising we can throw out there. So I'm always looking for the most duplication.

The most duplicatable way, where someone can just, you know, spend 50 bucks and make 100 bucks. So that's always in the back of my mind. But in the meantime, I don't stop what I'm doing with my free stuff. My free stuff works — it's effective.

And as I'm doing that, I'm trying to add on to that so I can be in your shoes and be generating like, I don't know, what are you up to, 1,000 leads a day? Well, I mean, it depends on what you count. If you're talking about my own lead generation, it depends. If we're laying on the marketing, we'll get up to — wow.

Probably what we're up to, 4,500, 5,000. But we don't abuse that. We don't spam our links. And the only thing we ever use that list for is to help people make sales here and to help people upsell their customers. So it's a little bit different.

But we have a customer list, obviously, of a little over 22,000 people here. So it's interesting stuff, man. Let's talk about where you're at now, which is 10 to 15 leads a day, bringing in about a person a day, and getting to the next level, okay? Because doing what you're doing right now, here's what's going to happen.

Let me describe it. Just looking at your numbers, I think that you've made this month close to three. You'll probably go over 10, because near the end of the month what happens is the momentum tends to go up. The sales tend to pick up.

We're starting a promotion next week. The sales and the duplication will automatically start picking up with the promotion. We're doing an event launch. Obviously, everybody here who's listening to the audio needs to be at our event. The tickets will probably go on sale today.

We just have to figure out what to price them to make sure that we don't lose money on the room, because we're doing that at a low price to make sure everybody can get in the room. But we want to make sure, obviously, that we don't lose money. And that's going to go up today, so we're going to have a lot of momentum picking up later.

So whatever you're at, usually will happen is whatever you're at by the 20th, it will usually double or triple from the 20th to the 30th, right? Right on. The last 10 days of the month. But let's talk about how to get to the next level and where we're going to go from here. So the good news is you're making money.

You're a genius, by the way. I love your stuff. I love your UFO videos that you've got on the internet. I don't know whether to believe them or chuckle, but they're there.

They're great videos. I go and I see that you're standing there and a UFO goes by. You've got these great videos online. It's at least a great mystery. And let's talk about the next level for you, which I think — my opinion is just knowing you very little.

And I'll get to know you this weekend, because I'm going to travel up to that part of Costa Rica and meet up with some guys that are also in Empower Network who are there on a business trip. And while I'm up there, we can connect and sit down. And I would love to get to know you and your wife a little bit, and we'll get to know each other better. And then you can maybe come down and visit sometime, since you live down here.

It's always fun to meet other marketers that are rich on the internet and live wherever they want. It's a pretty rare breed, my friend. So let's take it — if you get $1,000, you go $2,000 the next day, $1,500 to $3,000, that's a next level for you. Is that fair?

Fair game saying that? Absolutely. That would be the biggest blessing, I think, for anyone. What's your time schedule like? Like how many hours a day are you working on your business stuff right now?

Great question. It's totally random if I'm working, because I'm also building a network marketing company at the same time. So I do different things on the internet. But like yesterday, I worked the entire day and I barely had time to breathe, because I'm the type of person who writes down on a list what needs to get done. And I don't stop until I either pass out or until I cross it out.

This is how I collapse timeframes. I'm not living in typical time. And I'm going to sound weird, like I'm an alien or something, but I don't believe in time, kind of.

So I kind of just know what has to be done. I get it done. And then there's other days where I really don't do any marketing, because I already got so much done, so it's like I work really hard and then I just enjoy myself, and maybe I spend about an hour on the phones calling leads or something like that. But it really depends on the day, and every single day is different, so it's kind of hard for me to give you a consistent daily.

No, that's kind of how I am as well. And I find a lot of people who make a lot of money are like that, where they'll just know it needs to be done — they get up, they make a list of it, and then they just work until the list is done or they pass out. So no, I'm like that as well.

And it's fascinating to hear that from actually a lot of people who make a lot of money — they're like that. So a good lesson for everybody listening to the audio: a lot of people are like, well, I'll work from five to six p.m. And that's okay for certain people. Lawrence Tam can do that.

And there's personalities that are really good like that. And a lot of people, the more creative breed, they're much better if they just, you know, are driven towards a goal. So let's talk about this here real quick. So you've got the time, you're willing to focus.

You've got the skill set, obviously. So here's what I'm going to give you — a little bit of a breakdown on what needs to happen based on who you are. This is what I've noticed. And this is actually kind of a breakthrough for me, because I spent all yesterday looking at numbers from people making different incomes in Empower Network. I went all the way from the top, maybe 30 or 40 people, and I looked at how many people they are bringing in a day, how long have they been doing it, and how much money are they making.

Right. And here's what I noticed, and this is really, really fascinating — this is where I'm getting this from — I noticed that if somebody was bringing in one person a day at 25, just forget about all pass ups and all upsells for a second, that's the indicator for how much money somebody's going to make here. The only one that's consistent is how many people are they bringing in per day who buy the 25, right? If I know that number, I can tell how much money somebody's going to be making in 30, 60, 90 days, right? Completely, I mean, it's completely consistent across 20,000 people, right?

And here's what's interesting — I know from your numbers, for example, if you're making usually a sale a day, and then some days it's maybe two, and then zero, and then maybe you'll do an average — it looks like this month, if it just kept the way that it is, it'd be an average of, it would probably be 20, maybe 20, right?

Well, I know if you're doing that, that this month, you might be close to 10,000, and next month, you'd go to 10,000 from doing that, okay? I could give you five other examples of leaders who produce those kind of similar exact numbers, and they've been doing it for about two months, and they just hit over 10,000 last month, right? Here's what I also know, though. I know that if you can get that number to one a day, and it doesn't fall below that, and some days it's two, so maybe it averages through the month 1.2, 1.3 members a day. So what I want to do is give you a strategy to do that, and some ideas to help you do that, because I know you, and this is why I actually wanted to pop on the phone, because I think I could help you to do that, and I want to give everybody here a lesson who's listened to the audio.

I'm always a fan of listening to things from people that make more money than I do, and one person that I've respected, and I don't necessarily even agree with all their philosophies, but I respect them because of just the pure numbers that they make — one of them is Brig Hart. He's the number one income earner over at Monavie, and I've went and bought a bunch of his audios and listened to a bunch of stuff, because he has these teams that he builds with millions of people, and even though I think he's a little bit of a nutcase at times, I really respect him and what he's done. And he said something really fascinating in this audio I listened to, maybe three or four months ago — I'm listening to audios all the time, like I tell everybody else to do — he said that you're always doing one of two things. In this business, he says there's only two things that you're ever doing, and if you're ever doing anything other than these two things, you'll stop making money, your income will start going down, right?

That makes sense to me. And here's what he said: you're either bringing in the masses to find the few, or you're teaching the few to bring in the masses, right? You're either bringing in the masses to find the few, or you're teaching the few to bring in the masses. And so with you, Justin, you're one of the few, right?

Plus you live right down the road, or a 30-minute plane ride away, so we can come hang out and stuff. And so I'm always looking at Empower for who are the few that I can help to bring in the masses, because my income comes from helping a lot of people make big money, right? And you're one of those guys. So here's what I want to do, okay?

And here's how I want you to think just for a second — we eliminate the future, eliminate the past just for a second, right? And all there is, is this moment. All there is, is what's going on right now. And you know that the next level for you — and we're going to talk about your MLM company too, and where to fit this in, because I know you're doing that, I know Paul's doing that, and I'm a big fan of any kind of incomes.

You guys are in a great company, I know, and you guys have a really strong residual there. And I'm a fan of it all, so I'll teach you where to fit that in, where to do it, and how to do it at a bigger level even if you want. But here's what I'm going to say just from a simplicity perspective: you're in the moment. All there is right now.

And rather than thinking about what you need to do every day for the next six months, ask yourself the question: what needs to happen right now to bring in a minimum of two people today? You feel that? I feel it. I'm digging in.

What needs to happen right now to where today two people come in? And that's what you wake up and that's what you think about, right? And that's what sets your creative energy going. And that's what makes your brain start turning. And that's what makes the list.

And that's what you do to start executing the list. Let me give you guys some numbers — and by the way, these numbers will expand, but I want to give you some numbers, and this is for everybody listening to the audio just so you know.

And I checked, and maybe I shouldn't be telling everybody these numbers, but I think it's actually useful to do this, because it's more honest than what most people do. For example, Chris Jones and Chris Campbell — they made last month from Empower's affiliates, they were our number one guys.

And actually in a single month — this is the most somebody has made in a month — Lawrence did more in launch month, but launch month included two weeks before the month, right? So the actual month, Lawrence made I think 36, 37,000, and then he made another 14,000 in the pre-launch. Whereas Chris Jones and Campbell last month, they actually made 47,000 in a calendar month. So it's the most somebody has done.

So how many people do you think he brought in a day? What's your thoughts? Wow, 10? Lower. Five?

Lower. Three. Wow. Now, selling three thousands a day, that might be an insurmountable task, right?

Oh my god. Now here's the key — I actually checked, and he's had very few days he's gone over that. But it's consistent like a rock every day, it's three, okay? And he's been doing that for maybe four months. Now he knows how to scale it up and he's about to take it to a new level.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10 here in a few days. All right, so let's take another example. Tony Rush. So let's look at this here real quick, because this is a useful perspective.

Now this is from — because we have ridiculous upsells, not because $25. $25 turns into 10 pounds of magic. Obviously, people are buying more stuff, and if you're listening to this audio, of course, buy everything. So let's see, in — let's look at March, I'll check the exact stats on it.

It's over 33 — I think it's over 34. Let's see March, okay? So how many people do you think he brought in for $34,000? Well, let's look.

I think it might actually be right around there. So he started off — he sponsored several hundred people, so at 25 — he brought in — he brought in 192. That's where it started on the first. That was his first sign up, and that went to number by the 31st.

Let's see, he brought in quite a few — 245, all right? So let's see — 53 people.

In the month. So not even two a day, right? Wow. But he's been doing it for months, right? Consistently.

Consistently he's been one and a half, two a day. So isn't it interesting — now Chris Campbell and Jones, they brought in an average of three, okay? Now Dave and I did a little bit higher than that. We did like three and a half or four, I believe it was, that month from our affiliate account. Because I don't count our other stuff — I want to keep it real.

So — but here's the perspective, right? Just taking a step back, right? Do you believe you could do that? I do. I have faith, man.

I have faith in what you've put together here. I have faith in myself and in my team and being able to make a sale a day. It blows my mind. Here's what most people do — this is interesting, and this is an interesting conversation, because it's all focus.

And it's all marketing focus. There's no question. Here's what I have no question about, Justin — no question about it. If after this call you sit down and you don't say, okay, I'm going to go crazy —

you don't say, all right, I'm just going to slam and just freaking go nuts. You don't do that. You just sit down and you say, today I'm getting two sales. How's it going to happen? Right?

There's no question that it will happen today. It's not hard. It's not colossal. You don't need lots of leads.

Now, if somebody is listening to this, they're like, God, I've never gotten a sale — well, you focus on getting your first sale, and then focus on getting one a week, and focus on getting one a day if you're brand new and you're struggling or whatever. But you're in a spot where I know if you sit down and you put a little pen out and say, okay, today I'm getting two sales, I know it will happen.

No question. Because you know how to do it. The question is, will you do it tomorrow? And will you do it the next day?

See, it's easy to do, but it's easy not to do. Does that make sense? It's easy to do, it's easy not to do. It's easy to engage in.

It's also easy to let go of the engagement and get distracted on other numbers. And here's what most people do — they get distracted on one of two things. Number one is they get distracted on selling all the products. Number two is they get distracted on the product.

Like they get distracted on, I'm going to make one sale of everything today — wrong thing to focus on. Because then you're focusing on your existing team and you're trying to pound them to death.

Which is okay to do occasionally, but it's the wrong focus and the wrong energy. That make sense?

Absolutely. And that's the wrong thing to focus on, because then they're expecting their income to go up from what their team is doing. And it's not the right energy if they want their team to grow. And the other thing that they get distracted on — actually there's three things — the other thing they get distracted on is they get distracted trying to get their team to duplicate.

Okay? And guys, I'm going to just spill the beans and just tell everybody the truth here: five doesn't get five. Who get five? Who get five?

And then there's 80,000 people. It's just that, Justin, do you know that's not true? I mean, you're on a team, I know, even your network marketing business.

I mean, you guys duplicate really well. You guys got a really good system there and everything like that. I know what you're doing, and there's a bunch of good companies here at Empower that people are building.

You guys have a good one. But even your team there that you're building with Paul — I mean, five doesn't get five. Who get five? Who get five?

I mean, does it work like that, just honestly? Just to simplify it, yeah, it doesn't even work like this. You get one that gets one that gets one, because if it did, we'd all be millionaires. So it doesn't work that way.

Well, yeah, I mean, it's like it should be the easiest thing ever, but for some reason — you get a guy and he doesn't do anything.

And then you get another guy and he doesn't do anything. And then you get another one, and he just gets one. And then he doesn't do anything. And then you get five and you got a producer or whatever.

But I mean, you don't get five. You get five. So people are like, well, isn't that the goal?

Well, of course it's the goal. But this is the question people always have — how do you get these producers? And how do you get your income to increase? Here's what you've got to do. And this is the best attitude to have.

Act like — now, this isn't going to be true — but just act like this.

Be an actor. Act like for the next 18 months no residual income exists. Okay? You have an absolute minimum income goal that you have to hit.

And it must happen from your daily production, okay, and there's no other way to hit it. No team members are going to do anything. Everybody's going to cancel their subscription after the first month.

They're all going to quit, and you act like that. And it's not going to happen — there will be duplication if you act like that.

But here's what happens. Let me tell you a story here that's useful for this perspective. My business started blowing up after about three months online. It just blew up, right?

And I wasn't earning 100% commissions. I was earning little itsy bitsy weensy teensy weensy commissions. But it blew up still. I was making a lot of money still.

Which — if I had done the same thing here from a van, that's where I would have been. All from free marketing. But what happened was I started sponsoring two a day.

Two a day. And I woke up. I couldn't have even dreamed that. But the upsell math just works so well here.

So that's what the numbers are. And by the way, anybody listening to this — if you're getting two a day and that's not what you're getting, let's get on the phone and we'll do coaching. And if you get two new members a day, here's my promise to you guys.

I can't make a guarantee of that. Right on. I appreciate it. But here's the thing.

Two a day was every day. It was all my focus. Two new people.

But here's what happened — all of a sudden my team knew what to do, because I wasn't trying to prod them into doing it. I was leading by example. So they didn't even need to ask me what to do, because the mission in the team was get two a day.

And because people tried for two, they'd get one — who didn't really know what they were doing. It just blew up.

But here's what happened. I actually sponsored three, four, five people a day. I used to work on appointment only. Justin, you'd think this is funny. I would get a guy on an interview.

This is how I actually sponsored Paul originally. I got him on an interview, and he was there to learn something, and then I sponsored him in my business. He got on to do something else, and then he was spending money with me.

But I got on the phone. I would sponsor somebody, and they'd say, all right, what do I do next? And I'd say, listen in, I got another appointment. I'd show up on the next appointment, close another one.

And they'd say, what do I do next? I'd say, well, Fred's been listening in — I've been training him what to do when I just brought you in. And I got another appointment. And I remember one day in particular, I sponsored six people back-to-back, 100% closing ratios, had everybody on the phone afterwards, and I placed everybody underneath each other just to help them out.

But what happens is when you have an energy that's focused only on new production, your team knows that if they don't hop on the train, you're just going right by. And they get afraid. They start acting and sponsoring out of a fear that they're not going to make it. They're going to miss out if they don't do what you're doing. And they don't listen.

And that's how you create duplication. So what happened to me was I kept producing, producing, producing. Nobody was producing, right? Just me. Another guy jumped over.

Another guy jumped over. Another gal jumped over, right? And it was just like person after person after person. It just blew up.

But that's how you do it. You do it by — the new blood is the lifeblood. And so here at Empower, though, here's the beauty — we know the numbers. I don't need to teach you how to market. It's all in the 15K formula. I do need to tell you that you're going to need maybe slightly more leads than you have now.

I'll do something — you can go pick a strategy. It's not the purpose of the inner circle or this, because you know how to do it. But if you wake up every day and all you ask is, what am I going to do today to bring in two people, and it's the only thing that you have on your brain —

you could even do three, right, with pretty much no tweaks, just because it's consistently an increase. But you wake up and you say, what do I need to do today to bring in two? Do you know what will happen? It will, won't it?

With the 25. Yeah. That's the way the universe works. We put the question out there and we have faith, and then the universe starts giving us answers throughout the day. Oh, go to Facebook.

Do your homework assignment. Send out this swipe copy. Most of my sales — it's such a blessing having professional copywriters give you an email and say, send this to your list. Post this on Facebook. I'm just doing my homework and I'm making money.

Also, I didn't clarify earlier — I said I was getting like 10, 20 leads a day. That's not through Empower. I own several blogs. I get two from here, two from here, three from there. Maybe only getting five leads a day through Empower.

Something so minuscule, and I'm still having like big results. I could only imagine 10 to 20 leads a day through our Empower funnel would just be bananas. Game over.

Well, that's it, man. That's it. It's a simple strategy — well, it's a simple mindset.

But if that's the goal, the goal always happens, right? The goal always happens. We just had another guy go over 1,000 for the day.

We have seven so far. It's only 11:18 a.m., right? So the goal is 30 today, right?

So what's my goal this year? And this is useful — my goal is really simple. It's by the event in June, 30 people are going to be making 30,000 in May.

So 30 people are going to make 30,000 in May. So I want you to make 30,000 in May. Can you do that for me? I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it.

You're going to do it, period. Make it happen, period. And you can do it, by the way.

Now, let's talk about how to fit in, because you're doing another network marketing business. Now, some people actually in Empower are using this like their primary business, which is not something that I expected. But we've also got people like yourself that have another network marketing business, or whatever it is, top tier, they're working. So let's talk about — if that's the focus, some people are concerned, well, if I do that, that's going to take away from my other thing.

And your thing is actually pretty easy to recruit into, I know — you guys got good recruiting systems. So what are you doing in a month there? What do you usually bring in a month over at the company, we'll say? How many people do you usually bring in?

It's totally, it depends. Like my first few months, I was getting like 12 personal enrollments, but I can only put one under me, so it's like I'm giving them to my teammates. Typically though, now that I've nuked my list and I'm just generating leads through my sources, maybe getting like three, four, or five personal enrollments a month. So nothing crazy.

Well, real quick — so if I helped you bring in an extra 30 people a month there, would that double your income over a few months, or would that be okay to get an extra 30 there? I have no clue actually. I can exponentially explode my income by doing that.

So yeah, man. So how do you do that then? How do you do that? Okay, so here's what I'm going to suggest as a strategy — number one, focus the energy on the front, at just — Empower.

Just be at it a day, because if you're too fragmented — what's going to happen if you're fragmented in your focus on your front end focus, you're not going to produce the results that you want anywhere really. And this is how I recruit, by the way. And I don't really recruit so much into my primary company anymore, just because I'm focused on this.

But this is how to do it, and this is what to do, and this works like clockwork if you do it, but it's dependent on the front end. Where I can — if you do what I'm going to teach you, you can recruit 50 to 80%.

Into the deal you're in, I know. And there's a bunch of companies like this where somebody could do it. You could recruit 50 to 80% of them into your thing.

Without distracting from each other, without getting in the way, just by focusing your energy. So how do you do it? Well, it's real simple.

It's real simple. We've got a handful of things that are going to help. Number one is we've got the team emailer in the tools area, and you know how to use that. Obviously it only lets you send one message a day. I'm thinking about increasing that to two, because a lot of people send a message and they're like, oh, I want to send another one.

But there's a team emailer back there. We do have good deliverability with that — by the way, we'll get about 30% open rates for messages sent out through there to members. And that email is your frontline, and then also the coded pass ups.

So if you have a hundred people frontline, they'll all get the message unless they unsubscribe. But here's what I'm going to suggest that you do is: number one, create the story, right? Create the story. Now you know how to do it.

The formula is simple. Focus on two a day. Number two, talk about the story all the time when you send the messages out. And number three, create an inside group that they can only get access to if they join your team.

And you could do that in a lot of different ways. It could be a coaching group. It could be a weekly webinar that you do where you're coaching people on SEO or whatever it is that you're doing. And make people fill out an application, or set an appointment with you.

Now I've used schedulers online. I'm actually thinking about building one and doing it at Empower, but we don't have one right now. So I'll tell you what I've used — I've used clickbook.net. You've probably seen it. Paul was using it for a while.

And I've used a couple of other schedulers, and the reason I like schedulers is because it gives people a fear of loss. Like, you only have so much time in a day. So even if you have 10 hours in a day, you don't want to tell everybody, hey, I've got 10 hours in a day, just give it back to me whenever. What I used to do is say, okay, the goal is to recruit —

so I'd make two appointments available only. And then it makes it look like the rest of the schedule is booked, right? Like, oh God, this guy's busy, he's only available at noon. And then I only allow people to book appointments two days in advance.

And so if they try to book past two days, it says unavailable for the next 90 days, is what it says — which is actually kind of a little cool fear of loss thing in the schedule. But it's cheap, maybe 10 bucks a month or whatever. They might have a free version — I used to use the free version, because I was poor.

But what I do is I put a video out with like a thought of the day to your team, a strategy of the day, where it's value — it's all value based.

This is what to do, this is how to do it. You could put a video on YouTube and then just put the link in your blog, but put it on your blog. And that way what's going to happen is your team from Empower is going to go comment and syndicate on your blog every day.

Tell them to subscribe to your RSS feed on your Empower Network blog, because then what's going to happen is two things. Number one, they're going to see user feedback, they're going to start using the blog.

And when they start using the blog, you'll get more pass ups and more sales, because they will get traffic to it. But they'll also duplicate, and they'll start doing it with their team. But what you do is a strategy every day where you shoot a little video and say, guys, I'm going to give you the strategy of the day. Make sure they're in our Facebook group and all that stuff so we can plug them into the assignments. You can also have your own Facebook group or whatever it is, but shoot a link out using the team email once a day to that video post.

And just say, guys, this is the assignment for the day, this is what we're going to do, this is the strategy and the thought of the day. And then all you need to do is have a link to that schedule in the post.

And you say, by the way, I'm taking on one new coaching client today in our private group for my team only. I've got two availabilities. They might be full. But if you miss one, you're going to have to book one tomorrow.

It's the only two times I've got. Book a time. Book the appointment if you're serious. If you're not serious and you're not that serious about your future, and you're not serious about residual income and you don't want to make lots of money, please don't book an appointment, because I'm only looking to work with people that are wanting to be part of the inner circle.

Powerful. Very powerful. So what'll happen is you'll bring people in — you don't even need to focus on it. You'll focus all the energy on that front end, and you'll bring two a day in.

And what'll happen is those two a day will watch that blog like a hawk — not forever, but for the first 30 days they'll do it, because they don't know better, they're new. New people tend to do whatever you tell them to do. And so they'll watch the blog like a hawk, and you'll have almost a hundred percent of the people that you bring in will book an appointment with you.

And then here's all you need to do — they don't even need to know what it is. All they need to know is that you won't work with them unless they're in. You sell them the rest of the Empower products too, but that's all they need to know.

They need to know that you won't work with them unless they're in. That's all they need to know. It could be you're selling poop baskets, and they'll buy.

So you pop on the phone — let me give you an example of a conversation here, and they'll show up every time if it's an appointment, right? Because all you need to do is mention in the videos that there's a $50 fine if they miss the appointment, and they'll show up every time. I used to have that on my schedule. I never enforced it, but I never had somebody miss an appointment either, ever, even when I was broke.

So this is what you do — you show up. Let me give you a role play. We do a role play real quick? Yeah, man, sure. Okay, so I show up — ring, ring.

Hey, who's this? Hey, Justin, it's Dave Wood. How you doing, brother? I'm doing pretty well. What's up, man?

Oh, I'm just chilling out, man. I just was strolling out down in Panama the other day, and you know the story — you got to get your visa renewed every 90 days. You might be a resident down here, I'm not sure.

But I was strolling out in Panama, I just got home. I'm getting ready to head up to Liberia here this weekend. But wanted to connect with you, man. Welcome to the team.

I saw that you came into Empower and got all the products there, and I wanted to congratulate you and just kind of welcome you aboard. Now, just so you know, Justin, I've only got 20 minutes right now, okay? So I'm going to need to kind of just jump right in and be real concise here. Is that cool with you if we just get right into business and I ask you some questions?

Fair enough, man. Time is money. Thank you. So here's what we're going to do — I need to find out some things about you, because I can't help you unless I understand who you are. And then I'm also going to just talk to you a little bit about working with me as a part of my private coaching group.

Now, I'm not going to be selling you anything for lots of money. Now, obviously, guys, just as a caveat here, this is for everybody listening to the audio — I wouldn't say that if I was selling top tier. If I was selling a top tier package, I'd tell them it was a lot of money. But Justin does low tier network marketing, and he's been building that business. And we always respect everybody's business here, no matter what they're doing, and want to help them.

So we're not here to be a distraction — we're here to help everybody. And if somebody wants to build Empower as their primary business, you can use this strategy too. And you can also sell coaching like this. You can sell anything like this.

It's like magic. So anyways, back in — so, obviously, I'm not going to sell you something for a zillion dollars, but I need to find out if you're the kind of person that I want to spend time with. And it's no disrespect, but I've got a wife, and I'm extremely busy, and I've got people chomping at the bit for my time. And I can't give my time to anybody that is not willing to do what I'm teaching them to do.

But here's what I can promise you — I can promise you that if it's a match, I will go to the end of the earth to help you make the money that you've wanted to make since you've been in your business, if it's a match. Is that fair, Justin? Totally. Totally.

Sounds good. All right, so let's just get right into it real quick. Let's talk a little bit about what you do, and let's talk about your goals a little bit. I'm going to get an idea of your goals, and then I'm going to find out what you're struggling with, and then we're going to see how I might be able to help you.

All right, so first of all, do you do anything other than internet marketing, or is it just this? Just internet marketing as a way to make money, and my hobbies are the esoteric realms, such as astral projection, qigong, tai chi, meditation, and all that cool spiritual stuff. Yeah, no, that's really fascinating to me.

I've read a lot of books on that kind of thing, and we've talked about that — my wife and I talk about these things all the time. So you do internet marketing, you're really focused on meditation, kind of personal enlightenment, personal growth. So why are you doing this?

What's your goal here with the internet marketing? To have enough passive income coming in to where if I wanted to go on like a three-week retreat, or like a 60-day retreat, I can disappear for 60 days and come back and still have income. Passive residual dream. So you're here for the residual.

Exactly. Okay, and what does that look like to you? I mean, if you imagine yourself right now in your ideal situation, you're off at a retreat,

meditating and hanging out with a bunch of raw food guys, or whatever it is. And you're off there doing your thing. I mean, how much money is coming into your bank account every day with you doing nothing? Every day?

All right. Now, how many hours do you have daily that you could dedicate towards building? 18 hours a day. You have 18? Okay.

So you're serious then? Yeah, man. Here's what I need to know — or are you going to fiddle around and try to do it your way? I will do what you say, because you've already accomplished my target.

So I have faith in you. Okay, so you'll do what I say. I guess whatever income is coming in for the day —

That's a great question. I have to think about that. So you don't know your marketing budget? Well, right now, let's take where you're at right now — if you took a portion of the income that you're making, how much could you free up?

That you could afford to lose — you're not going to get mad if you throw it at a poker table and it vanishes into thin air. That kind of money, because you've got to understand that when you're new in the beginning with marketing, until you know what you're doing, you're gambling. But you're gambling like a scientist, and you're testing. And then what happens is you evolve and you learn what works and what doesn't work.

You keep repeating the experiments that work — I'm going to teach you how to do that. And then it's not a gamble anymore, you're just following a scientific formula. So in the beginning, you've just got to say, how much money can you set aside every day —

that you could just throw at a poker table and it vanishes into thin air? What would that look like? I guess I would say like 20% of whatever income is coming in. So let's say $5,000.

Take 20% of $5,000. So about $1,000. That's workable. Now, here's what I'm going to recommend that you do right on the front end, man.

When you get a check, okay — because I could tell just from — this is a short conversation, Justin, that you're a lot like me in the sense that you're spacey and you just do things all over. You get a check. Take 20% and put it in a different bank account.

That's your marketing budget. It does nothing but spend on marketing. And if you do that, and your goal every month is to spend it — it's to not keep it, right? Even if you're like, God, where do I spend $5,000?

You'll get creative and you'll find a way to spend it on marketing, and you'll get some good experiments going, because I'm spacey like that. And here at Empower, obviously, you've got the e-wallet, and so you can actually get a debit card that you could spend funds from your e-wallet, and you could just leave 20% of your income in the e-wallet and just spend that on marketing. You know what I mean?

Does that make sense? Makes total sense. Okay, and it's gambling — you're okay if you lose it.

That's the beauty. It's like you don't care if it works, you're just seeing if it works. It's like a scientist taking notes, like an experiment. Okay.

So you can take about 20% of what you have coming in. And how much do you have to invest right now to start working at your goals? Right now, well, like for example, I just started using some of my phone room, so I have leads going there every day, like yesterday.

I think they got me seven leads. It cost me $55 with them pre-qualifying. So I don't know exactly, but probably a couple thousand dollars, if I do my math and feel like it can bring me in some business right away. So you can start with a couple thousand dollars.

Okay, is it two months, three months? What's it at? I would say I'm all in for the long haul, preferably like three months, but if I can do it in like six —

six or nine months, I'm all game too. Okay. So if you could do it for six months, nine months — because obviously, I mean, you've got a gorgeous wife, and really what you want to do is hang out with her.

But I could see this. So here's what I'm going to ask you — I want to make sure that we're going to be a good fit here. I want to start the relationship off on the right track. All day and night, because that's okay.

I do that. I did that when I started. And if I could show you how to do that in the next 60, 90 days — but on a long haul, it's nine months if we make a lot of mistakes along the way. If I could show you how to do that and make a clear plan, will you follow it to a T? And do you need to do anything else before we just get you started on it?

It sounds perfect, man. I think I just sold myself with your questioning. Let's do it. All right, so here's what we're going to do. I'm going to actually require a couple things from you.

Now, just so you know, number one, I know you're already all in here at Empower Network, and congratulations on getting all in, because you've got to maintain that or I just won't work with you, because I've got so many people that are all in to work with, that I've got to spend time where the people deserve it, right? And number two thing, though, is you're going to need to take a spot — I'm going to also work my primary business with me. Now, you're actually in luck, because it's not going to cost you $2,000 to get involved here, but we're actually going to go ahead and just get you signed up for that and bring you into the team. And I don't even know what your registration fee is — I think it's like $100. So we're going to go ahead and get you started in that, and I can only bring in one person today.

Now, are you in front of your computer right now, Justin? Yes, I am. Okay, I want you to go to superdeal.com forward slash Dave Wood. And I'll keep walking through this — tell me when the site's up.

All right. It's good, man. Do you see the join link right at the top? Yeah. Go ahead and hit that button.

Okay. And do you see this field? It's got your name, address. We're going to get you started in that, so we're just going to go ahead and enroll you.

Go ahead and just fill this out. And Justin, are you good with conversation? Can you talk while you're filling this out, or are you better if I just leave you alone and let you fill it out and come back and chat in a few minutes? I don't mind chatting, man. Okay, cool.

So how long have you been married, by the way? Great question. Since October 20th of last year. We've been together for 10 years, but we just decided to actually get married last year, because in my mind it's like we were married even though we weren't married and we didn't do a thing in front of a guy that has a paper. So I was like, yeah, we're kind of already married, but we did want to officially get married so our family can be happy.

No, we'll stop there — just for the sake of the example. But do you see how I did that, Justin? Oh, man, yeah.

You're smooth. Now, just so you know, I didn't ask you to join. I didn't ask you to look at it. I told you that you were joining. Did you notice that?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I told you it was a requirement that you're joining. I didn't ask you to join. I didn't ask you if you wanted to join. I didn't ask you if you liked my juice or my vitamins or whatever it is.

I told you you had to join, and that you were doing it right now, and you just did it, right? Yeah. You told me to do it, and I followed the lead. Exactly. If you do it like that, it will work 85% of the time.

You'll get somebody to sign up. And I literally would have people with their credit card out saying, what is this and how much is it? And for me at the time, it was like — first it was like $200, then it was like $500. So I was like, it's $200, and they'd say, okay, what is it exactly? I said, don't worry about it.

We'll talk about it over the next few days. And they'd say, okay, and they'd just sign up. It's like poetry in motion. Oh, dude, it's cheating. It works so good.

So, I mean, to do that — but to do that to make it work, you've got to focus on the front end and focus the energy into the front end, because that's what's going to bring the income and the conversions to continue that. And if you do that, you can sponsor 40 people a month into your primary business. And that's what I do. And that's what I did.

That's how I did it, and I didn't have the good math that we've got, and it still worked with bad math. And so we've got good math. Does that make sense to you? Makes total sense. And what you're telling me in that whole structure, I kind of figured out on my own.

That's why my sales have picked up a bit in Empower. I'm basically promoting Empower on the front end, and then once they join my team, I put together a video tutorial, like basically an 11-day kind of boot camp type of deal. And each day they get another video, and it's basically sharing some insight on how to blog and so forth, and upselling the higher products in Empower, like telling them to get all in and purchase the products. And then I eventually get to my network marketing company after that, and I'm seeing people who are —

they're joining me in Empower, they're going all in, they're joining my network marketing company, they're purchasing my products or services. So it's just such a beautiful thing, man.

I thank you very much. All right, man. Well, let's do it. So that's good enough for the audio, man. Did you get some value out of here?

Was this worth it to you? Oh, hell yeah, dude. Well, I mean, I did it for free. But, I mean, that's the thing — I see. What do we do? Again, there's two things that we do, and only two things that we do. We bring in the masses, find the few.

Teach the few to bring in the masses. Or find the few to bring in the masses. So I see you producing, and I've known you for a while, but you notice — I see you producing. You got a phone call, didn't you?

Yes, yes, yes. Yep. So that's what I do. I produce, and then I watch. I see somebody producing.

They get a call. I don't call people that aren't producing — I just don't have time. But if I see somebody producing, they get a call from me, period. And the only reason if they don't is because I don't notice, for whatever reason, because we've got a lot of people.

Right. And let's go out there. This is the goal — by the end of this month, let's get you a minimum of just consistently, consistently, five days in a row of at least two a day.

Right? Oh, man. You good with that? I'm good. Now, I want to get you in the inner circle again in a month and a half or so and get your story and talk about how you did it and what changes you had to make to do it.

Can we do that? Yeah, absolutely, man. And then you'll be teaching me and I'll be taking notes. Yeah, right on. I'd love to do that.

My pleasure. All right, brother. Hey, love you and appreciate you. I'll see you this weekend, actually. Yeah, much love right back at you.

We'll be meeting here in a couple days, dude. So see you soon.
