Hey, my friends, this is Dave Wood talking to you from my home out in the mountains in Costa Rica, and I'm super excited today, actually, because in this Inner Circle call, I've got Dwayne Pyle on the line, and he's going to be sharing some of the strategies and some of the secrets he's used actually online successfully for the last couple of weeks. And one of the things that I like about Dwayne is I met Dwayne, you know, originally I was just wondering who he was, and he was actually in a team of mine in another system, and I found him like three levels down after I saw him producing on the Internet.

I was like, who is this guy? And I was like, oh, wow, he's in my team. And I looked down and I saw him there, but he's just been absolutely consistent, an absolutely consistent production for a very long period of time. He's in the same team that he was in when I originally met him, which is always good to see when somebody's just absolutely laser focused and consistent on their vision and their mission and they just can't be budged. And, you know, he's here today and he's going to share some of the insights.

He's completely brand new to marketing this, just getting on board with us now. And so what I want to do, kind of pick his brain a little bit and see both what he's doing and also kind of send him a reach out, congratulate him a little bit. He actually just got married just a few months back, so he's kind of a newlywed there and just a killer guy. So, Dwayne, maybe we start off, buddy, if you could just share a little bit about your background, you know, what you did, you know, outside of Empower Network, kind of what made you make the decision to come over here in the market, with us, and also kind of what you see is the vision here, and then we're going to dig into your marketing a little bit. Is that cool?

Sounds good, David. Sounds good, man. And, you know, thank you for that introduction. I appreciate it. You know, definitely, with what you guys have going on here in Empower, you know, even though I've been in like, I think it's, like you said, around a month or so ago, but, yeah, it's a little bit more than three because the way you got the comp plan is just ridiculous.

I want to be about six or seven. Yeah. But, yeah. Are you? Well, I was just looking at the last, like, week or something like that.

So, you might be a lot higher than that. I actually don't even know how much you've made. So, is it six or seven is what you've done? Yeah, somewhere around there, man. I don't know.

You guys, the way the comp plan is and the way the system is, it's just beautiful, man. It's beautiful. So, yeah, somewhere up there, though. You're just ranking. Yeah.

But my background, man, yeah, I got started in the industry back in 2008, man. You know, during that time, of course, you know, people who haven't heard my story before, I was actually working for a technical job back then. I actually have a degree in computer technology. I was working for Corporate America.

I'm actually from New York City. I was working at a computer place down there on 34th Street, okay? And what happened is I got forced into unemployment. The economy got hit. You know, during that time, I was kind of dabbling into the industry.

But, you know, I was kind of, like, learning certain things. But when I was pushed to unemployment, I mean, I had to make a decision. You know, and really, I said to myself, well, you know, I can either go strong and look for another job. I had some money saved up. You know, I was on unemployment.

I said, you know what? I'm going to take... And a lot of people don't take these risks. And that's what I think, you know, as entrepreneurs, as leaders, and just, like, the things that you're experiencing empowers yourself with the merchant accounts and different things like that. As an entrepreneur, we have to take risks, and that's how we get to higher levels of success.

So during that time in 2008, when that happened to me, I was forced into unemployment. Man, I just said, you know what? I'm going to take my money. I'm going to take this thing I'm getting from unemployment, and I'm going to go hard with this industry. I'm going to go hard.

I'm going to learn. I'm going to dig in, and I'm going to put my head against the wall and try to figure out how to move forward. So that kind of fast-forwarded a little bit. That pushed me up to, you know, I started searching on the Internet. Again, that was kind of early 2009.

Hopped into a certain system at that time, started learning some Internet strategies, some Internet marketing. I still struggle for a little bit because, you know, it takes time. It takes time to figure things out. And I think us as entrepreneurs and, you know, people who are seeking better in our life, we have to understand that we have to grow. We have to dig in.

We have to go through the trials and tribulations to get better. And then from there, man, fast-forward, I learned. I started getting results there. I didn't actually know I started getting features on, you know, webinars and, you know, sponsoring people and recruiting people. But to me personally, you know, something still wasn't right because, you know, just like your guys launched Empower Network, not too long ago, you know, I was stuck in a place where I was doing very and very hard.

And I was really good, itsy-bitsy, witty-titty, little-bitty minuscule commissions. And I was like, this is damn ridiculous. And I said to myself, I said, if I'm working this hard and I know what I do and I got people coming in behind me, how in the heck are they going to be so much more and harder for them to succeed because of just the, you know, the money motivates people, you know, training and all that stuff is phenomenal, but people got to be able to make money. So what attracted me about your Empower Network, David, I mean, what you guys have done here, for anyone who's listening to this right now, you guys are in something totally phenomenal, totally special. I've seen so many things out there on the internet.

I've been through the grind. I've been grinding back then, but this was like a breath of fresh air, literally. Literally. To build your company and make a lot of money, man, you guys really got something special here, David. And that's what kind of brought me to Empower.

I kind of did, I was delayed because I was working on a project at that time. I was actually working on a product that got out there, was successful. But, you know, hey, I wish I would have got in earlier because I could have had some other leaders that I knew under me. But, hey, I love what you guys got going on here. I'm super excited, man.

Well, it's great to have you in, by the way. It's just hilarious, you know, another person getting these wussy little itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny. And then, no, it is, it's true. After a while, you're like, you've got to be kidding me. You know what I mean?

It's like you bring in 1,000 and then 2,000 and then 5,000 people and you're like, you've got to be kidding me. We've got people making here. I mean, I always laugh because, you know, people go back and forth. I mean, I say make money from everything. You know what I mean?

If you can sell something that you're earning 30% commissions for extra, well, you know, make money from that too. If you sell something you're making, you know, 20% commissions, it's just extra cash, but, God, not a primary income. You know? It's just horrible, horrible, awful little commissions is what these are. So let's talk about, you know, that's why I kind of started Empower Network is because I wanted something that was more for the people, obviously, and we've got a vision this year, obviously.

And so hopefully you use one of those, pal. And, you know, I know you can do great things here because I've just seen what you could do. I've seen how consistent you are in the past. But maybe we could share a little bit. You know, you were in unemployment, and then you started in the industry.

You obviously went through some months of some struggle in the beginning, and you were in a little bit of a different niche. It wasn't as seamless and as quick and as fast as something like Empower Network runs. But what did you do, and where was your breakthrough that made you from struggling to not struggling anymore? What was the moment, and how did that happen?

It was massive action, David, massive action. And a lot of people have been hearing me talk for a long time, hearing me say that. I just, you know, I said to myself, you know, learning is cool, absorbing is cool, taking the knowledge is cool, but it's not going to make you money. So, you know, if you're learning and you're getting the knowledge and you're learning from different things, you've got to take massive action. So really my breakthrough was just being consistent with certain strategies and then having breakthroughs, man.

I mean, once the leads started flowing and you have the traffic and things going and me going through just talking to different people and different things like that, I was already good to speak to people on the phone or wherever. It just didn't really matter. Because I don't care. And just having a nonchalant attitude, meaning that don't let nothing bother you. I mean, you know, people talking, business, you're seeing certain things going on in the industry.

Have your mind set on the prize, and you will get there with massive action, man, and consistency. So that was kind of my motto, and that's what pushed me. So massive action, so just all out. You don't care if you make mistakes. You don't care if something messes up.

You're just breaking your head through a brick wall. It doesn't matter if there's a brick wall behind it. You'll break your head. That's what I did, too. So you came out all out massive action.

It's great to hear because a lot of us, we come from poverty to riches. A lot of people say, but I'm poor, can I do this? And it's like, well, did you live in a damned van? Were you on unemployment?

Well, then, yes. And if you got more than that, you count yourself lucky. So you took all out massive action in your marketing. And you mentioned something that's fascinating to me. You talked about lead flow.

And once the leads started coming in, your attitude just became totally nonchalant with all this. But what was the lead flow that you needed in your business to where when you got it, things started to crank for you? How many leads was it? Say a day. How many leads a day was it for you?

Like 20 leads a day. I think that was a major breakthrough, 20 leads a day. But honestly, anybody with 10 leads per day, because at the beginning, I used to talk to a lot of people. I was on the phone. I was closing, building relationships, getting people's interest and running through the numbers that way, even when I had 10 leads.

So I was having some success at that point. But 20 leads per day is really when I seen that I had so much traffic coming through my funnel. I was able to put certain things in place so people can make decisions, getting their eyes on it, put certain things in my email to have people just call me versus me calling them, putting videos and certain things in certain places. So 20 leads per day is really when I start seeing things cranking. And I was just able to...

I was able to explode anything on demand and really just kind of thrust forward. Now, I find that it's about the same as well. And it depends on what you're doing, whether you're closing or whether you're getting people to talk to you. But what I found actually, it's really interesting, is around the same. I had about 10 leads a day and I was calling people and I was closing and I was started to make a lot of money really fast.

To me, it was like, you know, 100 bucks, 200 bucks, 300 bucks a day selling wussy little commission stuff. OK, so I was actually making good money doing that, even though it was tiny commissions because I was making a lot of sales. So I was closing. But then I got to between 25 and 30 leads a day and then all of a sudden all the people started calling me and I was just returning phone calls and closing. It completely changed the game.

So about the same numbers. Fascinating. So what was it that you did? You did all massive out-action. Now, the markets changed, so it might not be the same strategies.

But what was the strategy that you used then when you just took all this crazy action to get those results? What were you doing? Right, at that time, it was a combination. Because, of course, I've seen some of your training back with the article marketing and blogging.

So that got me pumped up and I was doing that. But also I dabbed into paid marketing. I really, you know, a lot of people sometimes are afraid to spend money. But it's a good thing. And I think I heard you say this before as well, where if you're spending money and you're making more, it's good.

You keep spending that money because obviously your business is becoming in profit. You have a high ROI. So at that point, when I was getting a lot of good free leads, I turned on the Facebook PPC at that time. And when I did that, I just literally went to sleep one night.

And, you know, even when I first started that strategy, honestly, David, I had a little struggle because Facebook was kind of shutting me down, shutting me down. And I kept trying. So, again, the massive action and consistency. Once I got those ads up, oh, my God, I just woke up one morning to an inbox full of leads.

And I was like, this is crazy. So from there, man, that was it for me. That was that. The one point where, you know, things start to kick off with Facebook PPC, I think, on top of all the free content that I had out there already, too. Okay.

So you did Facebook PPC, combo of free content and just all-out massive action. And, you know, the beauty is, and I've seen, by the way, some of your earlier marketing. I have gone and I looked at it because I remember when I saw you in there originally, I found out you were in my team and I didn't know who you were. Because this kind of thing happens, and I'm sure it's happened to you as well, where you just start making a bunch of money. You stop looking at your downline reports.

Because they're just getting too big and there's too many people in them. And then you're like, oh, I got a leader in there. That's really cool. But I saw you pop up.

I looked at some of your marketing and some of your things. And you can tell the difference because a lot of people who are even listening to these audios, they're listening and they're thinking, what's the secret? Right? And it's like, well, get off your butt. You know, if you're going to be listening to the audio and you're sitting in front, don't sit in front of your computer.

Do it while you're walking. What do the Quakers used to say, right? Pray while you walk. Right? I see.

You're stopping people. Don't just sit there. Right? Get up and move. And a lot of people, they don't do that.

They don't just get up and move. And they need to get up and move and take action if they want to get the results. So aside from you started taking massive action, here's what I found. When I started to do that and I stopped worrying about whether it was right or wrong and I just said, I'm just going to do it, what happened is I started to learn ten times faster. I started to absorb things that I never noticed before. And my marketing changed. I started to listen to the right people and be in the right places at the right time. Because there was so many people.

There was so much exposure and so much action and so much involvement out there and so much community. So what are some of the things that you picked up? You did Facebook PPC. What are some of the things that you picked up that really helped maybe with closing? Because I know that you were doing a lot of closing.

And maybe you helped in influencing those leads that you got to make a decision and to take action. Absolutely. I mean, I think even before, since getting the skill of closing and speaking to a lot of people when I was around ten leads a day, and then once I increased my lead flow, and obviously me not making as many calls at that point, because like you said, people was calling you back, I just understood by going through the experience of how to connect with people. How to know if somebody is BSing me. How to ask certain questions. How to find out what they're trying to reach.

What goals they have and lining them up. And then taking exactly what I have, whether it's my opportunity or it's a particular system or whatever I have, to fit their needs. And when I collide that, I push their buttons and say, listen, all right.

This is where you want to be. This is what we have. This is what you need. So get off your butt and let's take action. Are you by your computer?

So I mean, those little things definitely helped me because I've learned, and I think it's the experience. See, a lot of people, what they do, like you said, get off your butt, you just mentioned that. But a lot of people, they're afraid.

They want to just digest, digest, digest. Take everything. Training, webinar, this, that. But the true thing is experience. Like if you're working at a job.

And you first started at a job, you're new, you don't know what's going on. You're a little shaky. You're a little nervous.

It's the same thing with your marketing. The same thing with taking action. You're a little bit shaky. You're a little bit nervous. Do I look good in this video?

Oh my god, my hair needs to be fixed. Oh my god, I need... You see all of these things.

But you just have to do it. Then the experience is going to help you to spread your wings. Become better. Become a better marketer. And things are going to make sense to you.

It's even going to get to a point where you're going to be able to create your own marketing strategies out of what you learned, on your own. And that's what I was able to do too. I've developed certain things that really just came out of my own mind, my own creativity.

Because the experience I went through, because the knowledge I went through, because the massive action that I've took, it allowed me to just grow and be diverse in multiple things. So get off your butt and take action, guys.

Get off the butt. Now, just so everybody knows here, I've gone and I've looked at Dwayne's stuff. He does say things like this. I mean, he's like, get off your butt and take action in the marketing.

Don't be a wussy. Just take action. He says that. Before I was saying it, I mean, he was probably the first one to say don't be a damn wussy in an email.

Right. So he says things like this. But just take action. Now, I always like to say that, you know, where does the magic happen?

And here's where. And this is really, this is really important for everybody. If you're in a place of struggle, a lot of times it's because you're in a place of fear. Because you're afraid to act. And the magic happens in a place that you are a little bit afraid. That's where it happens. And there's this great story that I heard from a guy that was a master hypnotist.

And this particular gentleman had clients go, and they'd see him to help them, you know, remove drugs and stuff like that from their lives and help them quit smoking and help them get over phobias and fears, like if they're afraid of snakes or if they're afraid of standing up in front of people. This is really interesting, Dwayne. And it's reflective of this concept. And this is one of the most important things I think anybody will ever learn, is this. This guy has two clients come in one day.

One client earlier in the day had a fear of speaking. So he goes into the hypnotist to remove his fear of speaking.

And the hypnotist says, you're afraid of speaking. And the guy says, yeah. And he says, well, tell me how you know you're afraid of speaking. And the guy says, well, I have to speak at my work all the time and I'm just terribly afraid and I'm nervous and I always do an awful job. He's like, well, how do you know when you're afraid and you're going to do an awful job?

And the guy said, well, I just stand up. I start shaking. I feel this cold shaking. I have a fever down my spine. My heart starts beating.

My forehead's sweating. My hands get all clammy. And I just know that it's going to be the worst day ever. And that's what he said.

Now later that day he has a rock star come in who's a famous rock star trying to quit drugs. But this guy walks in, he's trying to quit drugs.

But this guy's like, wow, this is like one of his icons. And he's like, oh wow, I'm getting to see this famous person. And the guy walks in and he's just incredible on the stage. Just rocks it out. Just everybody just falls over laughing and screaming when he's playing the guitar, you know.

And he gets this guy and he says, you are so amazing on the stage. You're so incredible. You're so passionate. And he's like, how do you do that? And the guy says, well, when I walk out on the stage, I get a shiver down my spine.

My heart starts pounding. My forehead starts to sweat. My hands get all clammy. And I just know that it's going to be the best show of my life. And where does the magic happen?

It happens in the fear. In the fear. Taking the step. Deciding to take action.

And I just wanted to share that story. I don't mean to cut you off because your insights are what I'm after here. But that there is one of the most valuable things somebody could learn from the whole Inner Circle, is to just do it. Just do it. Just decide that they're going to do it no matter what.

If they get no sleep. If they have to get up early. If they have to stay up late. If they have to drive 4,000 miles. If they have to put stuff on a credit card for a little while just to make it happen.

If they have to get an extra job to pay for some stuff. Or if they have to stay up talking to prospects getting told no 4,000 times in a row. Just get off your butt and do it. So that's a valuable insight. Most valuable insight I've heard all week.

I'm all pumped and jazzed and excited again. So you started doing it. You started putting some insights out there. I notice you're also very direct with your marketing. Like you tell people exactly what to do. Why do you do that? And why don't you... You know, you're not soft. Like a lot of people, they ask people to do stuff.

And I've noticed when I've looked at your marketing in particular, you're like, look, sit up off your chair, walk over to your computer, pull out your credit card, put in your credit card info, and make it a sit. What do you do that for?

Well, I mean, I see it like this, David. Some people just need to be pushed. And I feel as a leader, you know, in this industry, and a leader of me, of things I've learned in my experience, some people need the guidance. They just need to be told what to do. Why leave room for confusion? Why leave, you know, questions and things in their mind?

You know, I'm the person that knows. You know, by asking questions and finding out what they need, I know exactly what they need. So I'm just pointing them in the direction, man.

And they have to just take the action. So I'm very direct. I don't have time for games. I like to work with serious people.

People who are serious about making big things happen in their life. Let's run together. Let's lock arms. And let's just do it.

And that's it. No excuses, man. And you know, sometimes... And I'm not always hard. I am cool. I help people out. I'm soft in a way.

But it's for people who's taking action, who's not giving up on themselves, who's not making excuses for themselves. And I can understand if somebody has a legitimate issue or something's wrong.

And I can sense that, and it's there, then I can understand that. But a lot of people just make excuses, man. And I'm just... That's why I'm very direct in my marketing. And hey, it yields results.

Well, absolutely. And you know, when you're in a space like you and I have been in, because I, when somebody says, you know, I was on unemployment, or they say I was homeless, to my heart, just like, I'm like, I know it's like, man, you know what I mean.

And when you've been in that space and you've overcome it, you just don't listen to bullshit people say. Oh, I can't do it because of this. You're like, dude.

I was homeless. You know what I'm saying. Just do it. And that power is powerful.

And I think a beauty of that is that no matter what somebody's going through, they get insights from that that can just transform the world. So I wanted to talk just about something, a couple things that you were mentioning here.

I want to talk about some of the marketing you do with Empower, but I also want to talk about some of the things you do with people on the phone. You know, a lot of different styles. I just did a great, I did an amazing interview in the Inner Circle the other day with a gentleman named Ted, Ted Sims, in the Inner Circle. Did you listen to that one? You may not have heard it yet.

Yeah, I think I heard some of that one. That's the latest one you just put in there. I got to finish listening to that one. Yeah, I think it's the latest one.

Ted, he's a tremendous relationship closer, you know. Just, we do things a little differently, and we do things and operate a little differently. So, why don't you walk me through it real quick? When you, let's say you get a lead and they give you a call, right, what do you say to them? Do you have a question pattern? Do you have a certain kind of order of things that you do?

Can you walk me through that real quick? Yeah, absolutely. So let's say, for example, if somebody's calling me up, right, and John called me up, "Hey Duane, you know, I've been on your list, I got your emails, and, hey man, I'm just looking for different ways."

I'll just ask them, "Well, hey John, I'm glad that you took action and you actually called me." And then I'll ask them a few questions in regards to where they're from, currently, like where they're working, what do they do for work, how long they've been doing what they've been doing, do they like what they're doing, first off. And then, you know, from there, kind of going to what interests them into network marketing, if they are in the company at that time and they need a sense of information that they told me. And then obviously, if I have a system, I have some solutions in place, I'm going to ask them, you know, because I know that they're calling me, they're probably having some type of pain in their business and they're not really getting the results that they want.

So then I'll go into those type of questions. I may ask them, okay, well, how successful have you been in your current business? And then from there, they're going to start talking and telling me, telling me everything that I need to know. "Well, my family and friends, it's not working. I'm tired. I'm wasting time." And different things like that. So, "What are you truly looking for in your business?"

So it's a lot, it's a series of those type of questions. And then from there, you know, I just go into that. I'm like, "Look, you've seen me around, right? You know, you already looked at, you know, this is what I recommend." Okay, you've seen the video, you've seen what we have in place.

And then from there, I'll ask them, "John, how serious are you about the results in your situation, in your life right now?" "Well, Dwayne, I'm very, very serious." "Okay, well then, John, this is what I need you to do. Are you by your computer right now?"

So you use that line too, "Are you by your computer right now?" Absolutely. Because if you're in front of your computer, you want to close. And it's not even just about closing, it's about getting a person to take action who's going to help them in their particular situation. You want to help improve their situation. Then I'll send them right to the page, the sign-up page, and I'll walk them through the process, and I'll say something like, "John, this is what I want you to do. You see the form in front of you? Okay, I need you to fill that out so that way we can lock you in on our team, on our spot. And we can help you get to where you want to get to. Okay?" And then I may say, "Hold on some time and come back in a minute," so I'm going to get a drink of water, come back, and he's done. I see this, he signed up.

I want to know how I'm working with this person, could potentially be a person that's going to run with me for a long time. I just got to run through a couple of tests. So I build a rapport, find out his situation by asking questions. I always take that control by asking questions, because I'm the person you call, and I already know what it can probably help you, but I need you to realize in your mind, by asking questions, how can I help you. Then I'm going to get you to take action. And if you don't take action, I'm moving away.

But go ahead, and then you'll move away, you forget their name much? Yeah, yeah, it's like, and then you just like, people ask you, you say, how much your closing ratio, you say a hundred percent.

Because you don't even remember if they don't join, right? They're just deleted. But what, now, from a lead, we're not talking about calling grandma or whatever, that's useful for some people too, in certain places in their life. But, you know, from a lead, what's your ratio for closing?

I would say definitely like eighty-five percent. Somewhere up there, eighty, eighty-five percent. Very different than running around town.

Yes, David, absolutely. When they call you, you already have the position, by them calling you, because they're seeking your help.

Yeah, it's like, you know, clicking on ads on the internet. You know, and I see Dwayne Pyle on Facebook, I click on an ad that says, you know, "Who's Dwayne Pyle? Click here." Right, or whatever it is, you know, or "Want to win something? Click here." And I click on the ad, and then I, you know, put in my name, and, you don't ask for phone number, and I hit you up. I say, yeah, this is Dwayne, who's speaking?

"Hey Dwayne, this is Dave Woodman. I just saw your email, you know, you put your phone number in there, and figured I'd give you a call. I was looking at one of your websites, saw your video there, and just wanted to kind of find out more about what you're doing." Okay, phenomenal.

Phenomenal, Dave. Where did you say you actually found my website again? "Well, you know, I was on Facebook, and I saw, you know, and, you know, just figured I'd call you."

Facebook, okay. Okay, phenomenal, phenomenal.

Man, well, I mean, the main thing, you know, David, what I do is, man, is that I make a lot of money and I help a lot of people make money. The question is, what are you looking to do? I mean, what is the reason for you truly calling me, and what are you truly looking to do?

"Well, this is, this is where I'm at, just truthfully, you know, I've been in this organization in the past, a few years ago, offline, kind of running around town. I'm real sick of doing meetings, and it's not so much the meetings, I liked, it was the whole grind of it. It was, I actually liked the meetings, I used to do meetings up in Alaska, and we'd get a big crowd of people there. But now it's like, I got to grind and grind and grind to get like, you know, five guests to a meeting, and I just want a way to do it a little faster, where I can get a little bit more results. So I've been actually, for the last, I've been doing that thing, I get really good job ads out, and I'm just looking for something where I can get people on the phone, you know, that are interested, and I could kind of use some of my skills that I've learned to just get them in, versus, you know, running around all over the place like I have. Does that make sense, where kind of where I'm at?"

"Oh! Oh, absolutely, David. Trust me, I've been there before, man. And basically, what you are trying to look for, if I'm hearing you correctly, you are looking for leverage in your business, obviously." "Yeah." "You are looking for leverage, is that correct?"

"Yeah, yeah, more so, kind of manually. I'm just not in this mood to just run around all the time, ragged, like I used to have to do to get to get results, does that make sense? I just, if there's a faster way where I can kind of cheat and shortcut that, I'll take it all day and night, that's kind of what I'm looking for." "Oh, absolutely. Well, David, let me ask you a question. If I'm able to give you the cheat sheet right now, would you be ready to take it and run with it?" "Well, yeah, sure, what's that look like?" "Well, you came to my website, did you get an opportunity to watch the video that you seen when you came to my website?" "Yeah, I saw that, the one that was talking about the system and the front-end thing, and I got it." "Okay, absolutely. So that system that you've seen, that system is where we actually teach you leverage strategies. You know, a lot of people we have in that system who came through before, they've been through the same grind that you currently went through, the same thing with myself previously when I got started in the industry. So that system is where we pretty much make you a rock-solid marketing leveraging machine, and at the end of the day, and I'm sure that's the same situation with you, business is not just about money, because from what you said, obviously, you're, you know, you're looking for better ways because you built teams, but you just want to create more time, you want more leverage, you want to just get on the home of people and be able to direct them, people who's serious. Right? Is that correct, David?" "Yeah, I don't mind talking to people. I don't want to have to go through the 50 to find the one that's interested, you know what I'm saying. I want to talk to the three or four that are interested and then just spend time with them a little bit, connect with them and things like that, because I know I can get them in if I'm talking to those. Does that make sense, Duane? I don't know, you sound like you've kind of been through some of this stuff as well, but I'm just sick of running around ragged, man." "Absolutely, man. Well, this is what we're gonna do, David, man, I have the solution, I have the cheat sheet for you, let's get you going into the system so that way we can get you rocking and rolling, man, in the right direction. All right, so you're by your computer right now, right?" "Yeah, I'm by my computer." "Okay, absolutely, man, I need you to go over to www.xxxxxx." "Hey, is this a porn deal? No, I got the way, I got the website up in front of my face here." "Right, absolutely, man. So you see that form, right there on your computer?" "Yeah." "Okay, so what I need you to do is just basically fill out that form. Okay, and then when you're done with filling out that form, just let me know when you're done, okay, so we can move on with the process." "Yeah, sure." "Okay, yeah, I'll do that." "Okay, cool."

Now, just so everybody knows, I just want to stop this right here, because that's actually, now, that's how it works, right, isn't it, Duane? "Absolutely." You didn't even ask me to join, you just told me that this is what we're going to do, right? Did you say, "Hey Dave, please join?" "That's absolutely, I basically just found out what you needed, Dave, and said, this is what you need to do next." This is the result you want. This is what you need to do next. That's the magical line: this is what you need to do next. This is what you need to do next, Duane. This is what you need to do next, Dave. This is what you need to do next. And if people will learn that, it changes the world, doesn't it?

"Absolutely, man." Now, I'm guessing you learned that hearing it probably on a call, hearing somebody close other people on a thing, and it probably changed your life, like it changed mine when I heard somebody do that on a call. Conference call, I remember somebody was on the phone with a prospect, and they'd read a web form, and they said, "Mary, you in front of the computer?" and she said, "Yeah," and he said, "This is what you need to do next," she said, "Okay," and he says, "Go to this link," she said, "Okay," she went right to the computer, he said, "You see that form?" she said, "Yeah," "I need you to go ahead and fill out that form, Mary, and then after you get that filled out, I'm going to show you what to do next and show you how to get started in your business properly," and she says, "Okay." And I heard somebody right on the phone close somebody live, and I knew I could do it, it was a breakthrough.

So maybe what we should do, Duane, why don't we, I mean, I don't know if you'd be down for actually recording some calls like that, and then I could maybe record some, we could pop them in another Inner Circle call, just pop some closings in there. I don't know if you have a way to do that. "I'd be down for doing it, absolutely, man, I just got to figure out..." "Yeah, sure, figure out how to record and we can definitely do that, man. It's going to help the people out here, there's no doubt about it." No, I would love to hear some people getting closed live, just because, I mean, if they hear it, they know they can do it, because they're like, well, that wasn't a role play, that was like a real person who pulled out their credit card. "You have Skype, don't you?" "Well, I'm talking to you, I do." "So I have a thing, do you have a Mac or PC?" "I have a PC." "Okay, so there's a thing called Call Graph, it's free, it's basically the same as the Mac tool I use to record calls, and you could record calls. Why don't you record a few, shoot them over to me, and I'll put that up in another call, just in the Inner Circle, because I think that'd be really valuable." The other thing I think would be valuable is if we could get you on doing some training sometime, like a webinar, maybe on what you do in some of your Facebook PPCs and stuff like that, and I think that would be really valuable, and maybe we could put it in the 15K Formula, they just did a bonus webinar or something.

"Absolutely, man. But David, to be honest with you, one of my main strategies, man, that I love is video, and I noticed that we don't have..." "Yep, video, big on video, man." "Okay, well tell me, since we got a few minutes here and we're still hanging out, talk to me about video. We've talked about closing, we've talked about leads, talk to me about video, what's your mojo there, what do you got?" "Well, with video, man, I mean, one thing I think is really important is that obviously in the video you're able to connect with a person, they get to see you live, you get to build a rapport, and the same thing, you get to be very direct in your video, you understand. So through video, what I've been able to do, obviously, I've been able to rank my videos all over the internet. So I got literally probably hundreds of videos out there right now that's working on me, and it's something like, you know, a lot of us is trying to build residual income, one thing that I like about videos is that it's residual traffic, residual leads, because while we're talking right now, I have videos that's pulling me leads right now, you know. So I mean, pretty much, yeah, with that skill set, man, it's really been, it's been big, you know, and just from video alone, I've probably generated between 15 and 25 leads a lot of times, free, daily, just from the videos that I have out there, you know."

"So definitely, that's awesome, I found that as well. So here's something that happened to me, Duane, maybe we could help some people with this. When I first got on the internet, I saw the power in video right away, because, you know, I was like, it was the closest thing that I found to sit in a room with somebody, right, is just sitting there watching a video, I kind of felt like I knew him, and I figured I could do that as well, but I was a little nervous. This is just, this is the truth, so when I go back and I look at my videos, I remember first time I made a video, I flipped a kid... this is all the massive action thing... I flipped the camera on and I was like, and then I turned it off, I paced back and forth, you know, I think I drank some coffee, I came back, I sat down, I flipped it on, and it took me like 50 videos before I was comfortable, before I felt like myself. It took me about, I mean, I know people see me today and I just turn on, talk for a damned hour and a half, but it took me about 50 times before I stopped feeling totally, completely awkward. What are some things that you found to help people kind of maybe get over that hump, and also what are some things that you found, like as a thing to do in video, that's really been helpful for you, not just in getting leads, but also just attracting buyers to you who want to give you their credit card info and want to give you money and want to join with you?"

"Right, absolutely. Well, I mean, the thing about video, man, obviously you can attract who you want. So through video, by saying certain things like, you know, if you're serious about taking action, you know, I'm not looking for tire kickers, I'm not looking for people who want to join one thing and quit. I'm looking for you, if you want to get to the point where you're making, you know, 10K per month or 5K per month, obviously whatever your skill it is in your experience, you want to kind of stick with that because we're ethical, but you know, you can say certain things within your video that's going to attract who you want, and those who like what you say, they're going to run with you and listen to what you say, you call the action in the video, but those who don't, they're going to leave, and that's what you want. You want to get rid of the people who you don't want to work with. So through video, that's one way of doing it. And another thing about getting over that fear of just doing it, it's about action, it's about how you do it, right, you know, I know you've heard that before."

"Like, okay, I'll let you go ahead, and I'll just give you some time to do, David, like you mentioned that you've done video, but when you first got started, you did screen recorders, right? You didn't do your personal video, you know, you didn't want to do it, so you can do screen recording videos, so you can capture the screen and, you know, say the same things, give the value. But what I find in videos, which is key, you have to give a call to action, and you have to say the things and attract, say the things of the people that you want, eventually, a good percentage of them anyway. So call to action, be yourself, and do a lot of them. And screen capture before you can do it, and you won't be, and if you're a normal person, everybody listening here, you will not be confident the first five or ten or twenty videos you make, you just won't be confident, it's just the way that it is."

Duane went through it, I'm pretty sure you felt dumb in your first few videos too. "I did." Screen recordings, my first few videos I felt like the biggest dork in the universe trying to do a video, but I made another one, and I made another one, and I made another one, and I just kept going and ramming my head through a wall, and then about 50 videos in, something happened, I just relaxed and the magic came out. And I want to talk about this too, and then I want to talk about calls to action, and that's actually a really good place, and maybe we'll just even give people a call to action here on the call when we're done, just to give them an example. But talking about a couple things here in how you construct a message, how you construct a video, how you construct a call to action, folks, just do it. Just get on, put a camera on yourself, go get a flip cam or some cheap webcam. I had a cheap ten-dollar or twenty-dollar webcam I bought off eBay when I started, and I looked stupid and the lighting was stupid, but you know what, people would just go, people would pick up the phone and buy stuff because they saw a real guy with a real heart, who had real pain, real struggles, real victory, getting on and doing his best. And people, at any day of the week, this is my perspective, Dwayne, they'd rather see somebody get in a video, tears streaming down their face, and say, you know what, I struggled for the last five years, I've been in pain, I lost my mortgage, lost my house, and I'm destitute right now financially, but you know what, it doesn't matter, because ain't nothing going to hold me down, and I'm doing it, and I'm going to run this year, and I'll tell you what, by the end of this year I'm going to have five people making ten thousand a month with me, we're going to go buy our own damn cars, we're going to freaking move out of the country and live like we want to live, who's with me. They would rather see that any day of the week than not being authentic. And it's just real important for people to understand, to be yourself. You know, if you like wearing a suit and a tie, wear a suit and a tie, but you know, if you don't, stop with the bullshit, you know, I'm saying, just be yourself. I mean, Dwayne, I don't ever see you putting on clothes that don't look right on you, you know what I mean, you're a guy that likes to look a little snazzy, I mean, you're not going to wear a stained damn shirt like I will in a video, you know I'm saying, and jumping a pool half naked, you know, I don't see you wearing... showing your nipples in a video, you know what I'm saying, but you're not pretending to be Ray Higdon either, you know what I'm saying, you're you.

So there you go, it's useful, isn't it? Good perspective to think like that. "Absolutely, man, yeah, absolutely, and that's the key, it's just about being yourself at the end of the day, and just like they say in the Nikes, just do it, man, just do it, that's the key, just do it, just do it, and then it feels good to just do it."

Dwayne, just do it. Last thing, last thing, all right, and we'll end it here because this is good, and I want to have you back on, by the way, because I think this next month when we increase the price of the 15K and have those thousand-dollar commissions, I actually think you'll make 30,000 next month. So that's my goal, help you make an extra 30. So then we'll pull you back on and have your how-I-hit-30,000-in-a-month story. But let's talk about calls to action now. I've learned some stuff about calls to action from study of language, obviously study of sales, but let's give some examples, I want you to give some examples, and I'm going to give some examples, we want to talk about this, maybe take five minutes to talk about what's a call to action and how to do them. So we'll start, maybe you could give a couple of examples, give some thoughts on how to do it effectively, and maybe give me a couple examples telling me what to do with the call to action, and then we'll break it down a little bit for people. Is that cool?

"Absolutely. So I'll give you a great example. Let's say I'm doing a video, all right, I mean, I'm doing something like YouTube PPV, which is paid marketing for our YouTube, okay, and say for example I want to attract network marketers, right, so in the video I'm going to obviously mention things that I know network marketers are looking for. They may be looking for, you know, they're looking for more leads, they're looking for ways to make money, and the same thing with affiliate marketers, bloggers, and different things like that. So once you know what your person wants, obviously those are things that I'm going to hit, I'm going to hit the hot buttons because that's going to attract them and really keep their eyes glued onto the video, being yourself. Now, moving forward towards the end of the video, as I'm saying with all my jokes, with all my videos, I know that you are about to see, like, how people leave, so what does that mean, they're the people that you are going to see, and I know that's going to be those people who have gone and left, some people who have just left and they've not even called the action, okay, once I got that person's attention, because at this point all the people who wasn't serious, all the people I did not want, has already left, and I have those few little people that's just there watching my video, I'm saying to them, this is what you need to do. I have the training. We have the community.

We're waiting for you. I want to play a small part inside your future success. But all you need to do right now is head over to the website that's displaying right on this video. Okay. And that's a call to action because I'm telling the person what to do."

And they obviously have to take action to get to where they want to get to. Okay, so you go through a process, you get their attention, break state, and then you're going to say something, maybe a story, maybe something specific in a video that's going to attract your market that you want and repel, that's important, the market you don't want.

Because we all want to repel the market, offensive sometimes is better, because people go away who you don't want on your list, right? You don't want the wussies on your list, you just don't want them, right? Because you want people who like you and want to work with you.

So you put a video up and you might say something like, "Hey, this is Dwayne Pyle talking to you from my home, and look, I'm telling you something, if you're serious about your business, you want to get leads, you want to get results, and you're struggling in pain, you need to watch this video." And then you tell a story or two. And then you do a call to action.

You say, "If you want these results, go to the link on the video. Right now, we got the community, we got the training, we got the results to show you, and we've got a step-by-step formula to help you get the results that you want. Take action, go to the website, and I'll meet you there."

Right? Something like that? Just sort of? "Absolutely, David, you're right on key."

"Then I take that bad boy and get in front of a lot of traffic, and then you just got leads flowing through." Awesome, dude, well, awesome. And I want to point out some things I've learned here, just some insights.

Because I've done a lot of studying with language and stuff like that, a lot of people know that if they listen to me talk a lot. But there's actually been a lot of studies on calls to action and commands. Because a call to action is essentially a command. You're not asking somebody to do something.

You're telling them to do it. You're commanding them to do it. And a lot of people, I don't know if you've ever been to, have you ever been to like a hypnosis show, Dwayne? "I haven't, no, I haven't."

Okay, you get a guy like, and this is, hypnosis is really fascinating, because if you get a guy on a stage, okay, and there's different kinds of hypnosis, there's kind of subtle hypnosis, and there's what's called direct authoritarian hypnosis. And in direct hypnosis, actually, you'll see people, certain people are very susceptible to this kind of thing and others are not, but in direct authoritarian hypnosis, they'll literally command you and tell you what to do.

And you'll see people who in the crowd will just stand up and do whatever the person wants, right, because their mind is kind of susceptible. But every human being, everybody in the world, is susceptible to certain kinds of commands. Every single person in the world. There's not a person who's not.

Because when you're a child, you're growing up in a family, and you probably either have got a mom or a dad, and you do something bad, and they say, "Hey! Stop what you're doing right now!" Right? And what does everybody have to do who's listening? They kind of got shivers up their spine, didn't they?

Remember, "Ma?" Right? Did you? Just now when I said that? I mean, you're listening.

What did you do? "I almost fell out of my chair." You almost fell out of your chair. "Could you stop what you're doing right now?" Now, here's the thing that the military discovered.

When they're giving commands to troops, is that commands are actually better executed if they're given in a pattern of action, but it's better executed when it's given in a pattern of three. Okay? So in other words, if you're executing the command, and this is really useful for marketing, and you'll see it in my marketing all the time now that I've explained it, you'll see it in all the stuff that I do, a command is better executed when it's given in a pattern of three.

And what I mean by that is, "Stop what you're doing, click the button below this video, and decide to get in." Right? That's a command that's in a pattern of three. For some reason, the mind accepts it better than if you just tell somebody, "What to do and decide to get in."

So if you say it in a pattern of three, versus if you just do it in a pattern of one, a lot of times, and this is just some useful information, useful tidbits for people who are, you know, doing it, a call to action is a direct command. The stronger the command, the more direct, the more powerful it'll come across to the mind and the unconscious mind of the buyer, especially if you're doing a video. You want your command to chase somebody away who's a little bit of a weenie. So a lot of times what I'll do, Duane, is I'll be in a video and I'll be talking very calmly, and then I'll get to a part where I'm asking somebody to make a decision, and I'll say something like this: "Now, if you're on this video, it's because one thing and one thing only, you're here to make more money. And if you're ready to make money and you're serious, there's not two things, there's not three things, but there's one thing that you need to do, and that's click the mouse, hit the button below this video right now, and get started." Pattern of three, right, powerful.

Yeah, see, and people, if they're afraid to ask for a decision, will never get a decision. And that's the thing I like about you, because when I actually first discovered your stuff, I went, I found your autoresponder, I think I was looking through, because you know Aweber, they've got the archives, nobody probably barely anybody know what we're talking about, but I know how to find people's feeds of their previous messages, and I go look through what they're sending out, and you were just telling people what to do left and right, and I was like, this man is one badass, man. But that's why, because that's what gets results, period, right?

So, hey buddy, I just want to tell everybody here, great leader, great to have you on board, I'm glad to have your influence here at Empower. Everybody here who's listening, just so you know, we're going to be doing an event here probably in May or in early June. Okay, we're getting the event, the details solidified, it's going to be in Atlanta, I'm 98% sure that it's going to be in Atlanta, Georgia, and you're going to want to be there if you're serious. It's not going to be a lot of money, it's going to be enough to cover the cost of the room and things like that, just to get you there. We're going to be covering some stuff on our plan to expand Empower Network rapidly all over the world. And just so everybody knows, in order to be at the event, you're going to have to sign an NDA that certain things aren't going to be shared outside that room. We're not going to do this thing where we videotape it and make a course everybody can watch from home, none of that garbage, you have to be there. So be looking out for the announcement, be looking out for another interview from Duane. And Duane, there's actually two things I would like maybe for some future training, maybe in the next month, maybe in the next month and a half, from you. I would really like to get some training, if we could do maybe even a bonus video in the 15K, or maybe a bonus for the Costa Rica Intensive, one of those higher-end products that we've got, if we could get maybe have you pop on and just do a webinar on some of the PPV stuff that you do on YouTube, maybe some of the PPC stuff that you do, some of your paid stuff on getting leads, and maybe some video strategies. Would you be willing to do that?

"Absolutely, David, absolutely." Well, we're looking forward to time and date, make it happen. Okay, great, well, we'll chat about that, it'll be, we've got this week here, we're probably going to be doing a bonus webinar on magazine ads, we had a gentleman coming out who's in the team here, he's gonna be doing that week after, we're gonna do something on solo ads, and then we're gonna do some SEO stuff, and I'd like to have you kind of in the mix, because SEO gets boring, and so if we have you come out to kind of mix up the boring, that would be great, and then we'll continue on with some of the SEO and other stuff. But just want to tell you, buddy, I appreciate you, think that you're rocking, and anybody who's in your team is lucky to have you as a leader.
